Top marks must go for the setting. Our room on the first floor overlooked the stunning river view. Which was very old France. The sad part of this place is that although the setting is great, the interior is not, and new. Reception very cold and stark, with a large side room for evening meal or breakfast. Evening meals from a very limited choice, have to be ordered by 6pm, but can be eaten from 7pm onwards for a hour. Staff were lovely though and could not have been more helpful. It's worth going to the place, if only to take in the view, from the car park.

Great small hotel on the outskirts of the town but only a few minutes walk to the tram. Free parking with 4 EV chargers available. It is located near the University and student accommodation and a very large hospital. It was busy during our 1 night stay but there was no problem getting a table in the restaurant for dinner. We both enjoyed a very good 3 course meal for a reasonable price. There was a chilled buffet selection for the starter and pudding, no restriction on how many times you visited it. The house wine was so good we had a couple of refills. Breakfast was a very good selection and they actually had decent de-caff coffee served in a cafetiere. We would happily stay here again, if you are visiting the Caen WWII Museum it is only a 10 minute drive away.

We were looking for a hotel in Honfleur for a couple of nights. The Cheval Blanc was perfect. We had one of the newly renovated rooms on the third floor, with a super view of the Lieutenance and Vieux Bassin. Look in the other direction and you could make out the Pont de Normandie. Great location, quiet, comfortable, clean and good value.

This is 0 star review. We arrived at 10.15 pm to find they had overlooked my online booking. Producing the email booking confirmation made no difference as there were no available rooms. The male receptionist was unhelpful and unapologetic.

Fantastic experience and the staff were outstanding. Breakfast was great. We would definitely stay here again. Location was great.

Excellent location on the way to the port. Great service and atmosphere. Great staff. Good food. Great modern rooms. Good value for money. The atmosphere was great. Comfortable bed. Highly recommend it.

Beware Best Western hotel Ouistreham! We booked our room 6 days in advance having used the Hotel Website. We chose the non refundable price . They e mailed a few house later and said 'we dont take pets' I saw no such warning when I booked (and having stayed at the Negresco and Chevre D'or and other such wonderfully accomodating French Hotels naturally assumed they did!) I immediately replied and said - OK , we will book another hotel. Imagine our surprise when 3 days later the hotel sent a message to our e mail but addressed to different people (!) saying how much they were looking forward to seeing us! again i immediately replied saying 'NO! you told us we could not stay because we have a dog and we now booked elsewhere' Nothing from the Hotel until the day before our arrival when we received another standard message addressed to another family (!) saying how much they were looking forward to our stay. I rang this time and the lady I spoke to simply refused to discuss the matter and said there was no way they would give us our money back. Its against Hotel policy - you took the Non refundable option so forget it. Best Western head office France to whom we complained said they appreciated our furstration but that Best Western are franchise hotels (who knew that?) and each one had their own policy so they could not help. So our money was stolen -

This hotel is just out of Honfleur on Road to Saint- Sauveur. It is very clean, calm and peaceful. Good breakfast and free parking. It is very close to local supermarkets, petrol station, restaurants. An ideal overnight stay near to the Pont de Normandie.

Super comfortable hotel room, not huge, but with a lovely view over the square in front. The receptionist Daphne was perfect, so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. Location is ideal in the centre, and parking is right there. Would love to say again.
