Wonderful find. Hotel occupies a manor house built in the 1500's. My room was simple and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. The manager (and owner??) was incredibly helpful and friendly. Two thumbs up.

We weren't sure what to expect as the hotel was so reasonably priced. We had a nice little room and bathroom. We weren't at the hotel much due to our sight-seeing but it was just what we needed for a quick stay.

This delightful, quirky, atmospheric hotel is perfectly located for a visit to Le Mont Saint Michel in Northern France. The bedrooms were large and well furnished, the beds were very comfortable and the cold buffet breakfast had a good range of foods and there were some plus some hot pork items and eggs as well. The building itself is quite historic and as the name suggests is linked to the Montgomery family.

This is an amazing old hotel with original stairs! Loved the history and the plaque about the jousting accident of King Henry II. We purchased the breakfast which was great.

Beautiful old hotel full of character. Friendly owner and staff. We stayed for 2 nights with a very enjoyable tasty buffet breakfast in a charming restaurant at a reasonable price. Cooked breakfast was available and plenty of mixed buffet food. Nice ensuite room. Beautiful staircase. Would stay again at this beautiful interesting hotel, it's like going back in time with all the mod cons.

"Nice Front Desk Staff -- Awful Hotel"

The front desk staff was nice, but the hotel was awful. The property was quite shabby and in dire need of a thorough cleaning and remodel. The hall flooring felt unsafe as it was extremely slanted and creaking. The light fixtures -- especially the light bulbs-- and carpeting in the room were laden with dust. The room was freezing cold and damp, and had a musty odor. The room door stuck out of the door frame and did not close properly. The bathroom had a weird layout, but had been remodeled and was ok, but could use cleaning. Outlet was a simple plug with no USB ports. I would never stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel.

We stayed here just for one day to visit the Mont St Michel. Good quality room - in comfort - but too small. Bathroom and toilet refurbished, room in good condition. Toilet is extremely small - literally... Breakfast reasonably good for the price.

We stayed here for two nights, while visiting Mont St Michel. The hotel is very characterful, our room was a good size and comfortable and a good bathroom too. Breakfast was very good, there isn't parking at the hotel, but it is very close by, and did feel secure. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

A very nice hotel to stay in in Pontorson, close to Mont-Saint-Michel. Bus to Mont-Saint-Michel from the railway station, just 8-10 mins walk away. Booked this hotel as it's a Best Western Hotel, but little did I know it's also a historic hotel, and very charming too. Super-friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean room and bathroom, beautiful old-style breakfast room and a wonderful little garden. Very quiet and good sleep quality. Happy to recommend and also to stay here again. If you struggle with stairs, you should let them know upfront, as there are rooms where you don't need to use the stairs.
