"Interesting hotel"
Room was smaller and OK but no air conditioning and window opened onto a next door parking lot where a building is being redone, so it was very noisy. Free parking but no elevator from parking level to rooms. Bathroom has no place to put anything; although there was room for shelves, there were none. Shower only, which was fine. Staff spoke little to no English, but we made do with our little French. Good location and good breakfast.

Cher ProfSue, Tout d'abord merci d'avoir pris le temps de nous écrire un commentaire. Lors d'un prochain séjour nous vous recommandons de réserver une chambre supérieure qui correspondra à vos attentes. La salle de bain est fermée et la chambre est plus spacieuse. Au plaisir de vous revoir.
"Excellent value"
Situated on a roundabout a hundred yards from the railway station, this is still a nice place to sit outside on the terrace in the sun. Staff are pleasant and helpful and our room, though small was recently decorated (the whole hotel appears to have had recent decoration) , clean and very comfortable . If we were staying longer than one night we might have queried the shower which was warm but refused to get hot and the kettle which was useless without any other supplies to make tea or coffee. The food was very good and the breakfast basic but free. We paid less than £50 for the night including parking which we thought was excellent . The river is a few hundred yards away and there is a very lively bar, Delerium, five minutes walk away. We would definitely stay here agin if we were passing through
"Hotel"
Personal was very friendly and helpfull. Rooms and shower clean. Hotel is not expensive. They try to communicate with me English and help me with luggage. I spend here four days and they everyday clean my room. For me 5 star!
"A little neglected, but friendly"
The hotel has seen better days - toilet seat broken, carpet beyond salvaging, etc. - but the friendly staff made up for it (pretty much). Restaurant was better than expected, though nothing extraordinary. Probably wouldn't stay here again if there are better options in town.
"Proprietor and staff were very welcoming"
We were very late getting of the ferry due to extra security measures at the port. We phoned the hotel and the owner very kindly waited for us until we arrived at 23:40. The room was a bit tired but we were exhausted and soon slept - very well. The following morning breakfast was good - well presented and the owner very attentive and welcoming. We didn't see much of the hotel as we continued on our journey straight after breakfast, however, we soon realised that my mother had left her handbag in the dining room at the hotel and we phoned and the owner collected the bag and kept it safe until we returned for it an hour or so later. What a gem!
"Warm welcome but tired hotel"
We knew of this hotel because my husband's running club use it every year so I knew what to expect. The owners are very pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant is very attractive and serves good food. Breakfast is simple. The rooms are spacious but very tired and our room did smell a bit stale. It was very clean though as was the bathroom. Had a problem with the shower head not staying in its holder on the wall as did another contributor.
