Perfect location if you're visiting Miami or just need a night close to the Miami airport. The staff is outstanding. Breakfast is very good. There are several restaurants in walking distance. I'll definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.
Far under Bedt Western Plus level in my opinion Breakfast was a mess products unavailable for long minutes Not enough space and team was just waiting instead of acting disappointing attitude In addition pool was out of order 3 days in a raw without explanation
The pool is permanently out of service. Milk was not served at breakfast for 3 days because they ran out. I told the front desk every day but nothing changed.
Avoid- spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. Walking in the lobby looks really nice- newly redone. That's where the good ends. Hallways smell like super strong air freshener. Well when we walked into our room we discovered why. Very strong musty smell and room was humid. AC was set to 66 and continuously ran- was not adequate for the room size. Had to leave curtains open because AC air would run up into curtain. Was not able to have breakfast because it was completely packed with no available seating. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
My most recent stay at Best West Doral was a very unpleasant one. When I made the booking for the hotel I speciafically asked if there was a shuttle service to and from the airport and was told by central reservations that there was but I had to call the hotel when I artived at airport for pick up. I arrived at airport and kept calling the hotel and no one was answering and when I called central reservations they confirmed that a shuttle service was available but reiterated that I need to call the hotel to arrange. After trying to reach the hotel for almost two hours and looking for the shuttle at the airport I decided to take a taxi becaise I was tired of waiting. The taxi was costly and wasn't budgeted for. When I arrived at hotel I asked about the shuttle and was dismissively told they don't have a shuttle service anymore. When I made my reservations, I also asked the agent at central reservations for Best Western whether I could send a few Amazon packages to the hotel and she said yes. She never disclosed that there was any cost or limits to amount of packages I could receive. When I asked at the hotel for my packages on arrival, I was told that there is a limit of three packages and a charge of USD5 per package. I tried to explain to them that I wasn't informed of any charges for packages neither any limits. I explained to them that while I order stuff from amazon and ask for it to be limited to as few a packages as possible, sometimes Amazon splits the orders resulting in more packages. I was rudely told by the manager that they are nlt concerned with the operations of Amazon and that its USD5 per package. Note: one of the "packages" was an envelope with a thank you note. Imagine paying USD5 to receive a letter. Overall not a good experience. The room was dusty and had what looked like seeds on the floor. This coupled with the bad attitude of front desk staff and the manager made for a very bad trip. Having said that, I must say a silver lining was the household staff who were very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel was very nice & clean and esthetics beautiful from the outside to the lobby area and dining area.We stay in a standard room with a king size bed. The room looked exactly like the pics from the website. Very spacious and clean. We also loved the layout of the room. We booked this hotel for our birthday weekend getaway and will stay here again in the future.
I recommend the hotel. Very good location. Near airport, restaurants (87th Ave), Dolphin Mall, and very good price.
I was super disappointed with this property. We checked in super late and the guy was just on his cell phone and didnt want to answer my questions and wasnt very helpful. Then breakfast the next morning was less than impressive. The lady was working her butt off but nothing was stocked and we went down around 8:30 on a weekend so it should have been open for another hour and 30 minutes and there was nothing but toast and cereal with no milk. I asked the lady about milk and she was on her cell phone on a personal call and waved me away. After a long flight to Miami full of delays, it really wasnt the way to end our day and just left us super defeated. Normally BW plus is a great option but dont count on this one as being super "plus".
I stayed at the bests western from april 24th to April 28th. I got SEVERELY bitten by bed bugs. I uploaded pics for reference, I got 10+ bites in only ONE ARM, got bites in my torso and lower back. Even tho the room (314) looked very clean and tidy this still happened. So please BEST WESTERN I really hope you take this review into consideration and be even more cautious with What ever bugs protocol it is that you have.
It was easy to find, near the airport, shopping mall. From it, it's easy to reach Miami downtown and Miami Beach. Enough free parking spaces. Room was big and airy. It was clean, only the rug was so so (it was vacuumed, but as everyone walks in their shoes, it wasn't the cleanest). Staff was nice. Breakfast is ok - mainly sweet choices. What I didn't like was plastic plates, cups, cutlery. Pool is big enough, clean. WiFi works ok (if you're in a far/corner room, it might not work well).
I have made reservation almost half yesr before my arrival. After really long flight and almost 24hrs trave we came to hotel about 10pm to get information about cancelation my reservation! Reason should be my credit card! I didn get any information from hotel even any info from bank - my CC is Visa which is working for 100%. Really bad experience and never stay with BW again!
Worst hotel I've stayed at. Mould all over the shower and bathtub. Wifi didn't work. Business center printer broken. Nobody knows anything that works there. The Manager Gracey Lopez is never there. This place is a disaster. Try calling, they don't answer there phone either. No matter the price don't stay here, you'll regret it. Breakfast is nice but everything is always ice cold.
Below is the email I sent to the General Manager. NO RESPONSE Hello G. Lopez. My name is Jason Frankl and my Confirmation Number is 487742398 for check in Sunday March 17th, 2024 and check out Monday March 18th, 2024. My first impression of your hotel walking in was very positive. However that changed very quickly. After we check in to our room, room number 124 things went down hill. First, we could not use the WiFi in our room, it would not connect on any of our devices. See pictures attached. We could only use the WiFi in the lobby. It was horrible. Secondly, I went to use your business center to print a few documents. The printer did not have any ink cartridges, therefore I could not print. The ink cartridge area in the printer was empty and nobody knew where they might be. Thirdly, My son and I wanted to go in the pool. There are not towels out there for the loungers or beach towels to dry ourselves off. Fourth, I'm laying on a beach lounge chair by the pool trying to relax and 2 of your staff members come out and start smoking cigarettes and speaking loudly. Why would you permit your staff or anyone from smoking around your guests. Fifth, I used my Best Western reward points to cover my stay of all taxes, fees, and room rate, so I should have a ZERO balance. However my visa was charged $50 as per usual, but then another $33.95 charge. I'm not sure where the confusion is because my reservation clearly shows points used and cost to me in Zero. Sixth, there is a brown stain on the top comforter. It's is around 435 pm as I'm writing this so there may be more surprises for me to encounter as the day progresses. Needless to say with having these 6 issues I am asking you you make this stay 100% complimentary and refund my credit card and refund my 28,000 Best Western Reward points. Plus provide me with additional points to compensate for everything. Shower and bath is a disaster as well Whenever we want to access the internet we need to leave our room and go to the lobby. As both my wife and i are now sitting in your lobby. Not to mention everything else. I will be checking out at 750am on Monday. I am hoping you can honor my request and reach an immediate resolution in this matter otherwise I will have to escalate my serious concerns. I will wait to hear back from you.
I would not stay at this hotel ever again. The smell of mold and Mildew in the building is unbelievable. My wife got extremely ill after spending the night because of the smell and mold. Customer service is not in their training (except for John). Worst Hotel experience I have ever had. I have send an email and pictures to Best Western Customer Service.
Excellent hotel. It was clean and the staff was pleasant. Henry and Shawn at the front desk were very helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was fresh and there was a very pleasant odor. I will definitely be returning.
Overall it was not terrible, but I probably would try another hotel next time. Room had a musty smell that I sometimes experience in humid areas. Room was clean but dated - nothing to be concerned about. Windows opened by had no screens. Area was ok for the most part.
The room facility was dated and the tv was not displayed clear the screen so I must request the replacement of the tv however the new tv was w/ same issue. Good breakfast service and easy checking and checkout.
Property could do so much better. I have visited this property over 16 time the past year. Roaches, un - clean bedding with hair, 90% of the time you will not get a cable channel, so if you have children good luck. The last straw was bed bugs in a small patch after feeling them under my rib. You will not find much of the staff to be pleasant.
A nice stay with a complimentary delightful breakfast. Nearby Wend3ys, Chick Fil A and Winn Dixie, proved quite useful with kids as it was indeed walking distance. Sadly, there aren't any airport or mall shuttles, this proved to be a hassle. Perhaps affording these luxuries to guests can be a possibility in the future.
When our family travels we always try to find the nearest Best Western. Great service and clean hotels every time. Can't wait to go on vacation next time so I can get actual sleep. The beds are always the best.
Bathtub full of mold. Stained couch. Spongy mattress. Damp stench in room. Broken TV. Broken elevator. This room was in no condition for anyone to stay in. Note to CORPORATE: Someone is not doing their job and someone else is not watchiiiiinnng!
Damp stench Mold in bathroom Broken TV Stained sofa Mattress was a sponge Broken elevator Worst experience ever from a hotel stay. Hard to believe that i was at a hotel in the US! Shameful! I even contacted their corporate headquarters and no one has reached out.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were also clean and comfortable. The shower was a bit dated and could do with an upgrade, but overall it was a good experience. I would suggest a couple more options for breakfast.
I stayed here before venturing out to the Everglades, and while it's not the newest property, it was fine for a one-night stay. Service was a bit slow, and parking is limited, but it was clean and relatively inexpensive.
Worst hotel i ever stayed the rooms stink the people beside us were with 10 persons in a room smoking weed we ask for another room with kitchen then the kitchen had nothings no pan spoons nothing i called they said we have to provide our own its a piece of sh hotel NEVERRRRRR AGAIN WILL I DO THIS TO MY FAMILY ITS NOT A BEST WESTERN
I enjoyed my stay. Accessible location, centrally located, all the shops were near, excellent shopping area, within walking distances if needed, very quiet area, not too crowded and congested area, all shopping and amenities available
The moment you enter the hotel, it smells like they are hiding something. Our original room was disgusting. Trash under the room, carpets had blood stains, couch was covered in stains to name a few. The second room we got moved to was a little better appearance wise, but smelled bad. We went to adjust the wall length mirror since it was falling of the wall and found a large patch of mold on the wall. We have been home for a week now and our items still smell like the hotel and room. The gates where also not locked properly, we where able to go thru the gate thru the pool and into the building with out having to swipped our key. The locks where places on the gate lock in a way where the door did not close. Also the key entry for the hotel door coming in from the pool was broken.
Staff friendly and helpful, hot and cold choices at breakfast and variety, close to Little Havana/Malls, televison remote did not change channels staff attempted unsuccesfully to resolve issue, musky odor in hallway and room
Decent hotel for the price, location and breakfast. Hotel is little old, however, the service and cleanliness are great. Definitely visit again in the future. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a nice pool as well!!
Harassment regarding a service animal. Rooms were musty and out dated. Lobby was much more upgraded then the actual room. If you require a service animal take you business somewhere els. This place is going to end up with a lawsuit if they continue to treat guest this way
If you have stayed at this hotel before it's not the same, the free shuttle services to the malls and airport no longer exist. If you don't eat eggs or pork breakfast may not work for you and you may have to arrange your own breakfast elsewhere.
Telephone in room does not work. Room and bath tub were not cleaned. Breakfast was dried up oranges green bananas and apples that were over ripe or not ready to be eaten. I think $175 a night is a lot considering you cannot get room service or any assistance u less you go back down to the lobby and ring the bell for someone to appear to hear your problems with your room etc.
Very reasonable for the price. While the hotel is dated, and needs a face lift, overall it was a great visit. The room was clean, very large and had everything we needed for our visit. Staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The breakfast was disappointing and didn't offer the wide selection suggested on the Best Western website. Free parking was available.
It is definitely worth the price! We needed extra blankets and the staff gave us some. The staff was very polite. Room was clean and organized. Finding a good affordable hotel in Miami is not easy, this hotel is worth the pay.
My boyfriend and I had to book a room nearby for some errands and this was a great choice. Room was spacious, shower was great, pool was clean, breakfast was great! There was a couch in the room that had some kind of red stain on it - I won't guess what it was - and we just avoided the couch altogether, but the bed was comfortable. Great places nearby!
Staff was friendly everyday the housekeeping staff would greet me with a smile, the front desk and kitchen staff were also friendly. The hotel is in a convenient location, it's 10 mins away from the malls and to Doral city place.
ery weak customer service, low level of quality in the cleanliness of the rooms, in my bathroom there was mold and fungus in the soap dish. The cleaning and hygiene of the room was not carried out, I had to request the cleaning of the room two days in a row and it was not carried out to the point that the room smelled musty as a result of the wet towels that were not removed. Breakfast does not present variety according to the price paid and established in your fee (Includes Breakfast). I take a very bad image and low reputation of this hotel that is not cheap and should guarantee all the minimum attention required to obtain a 3 star.
One of the dirtiest hotels I have stayed in. Carpets and Sofas are stained, dirty and stinks. i was walking with my shoes on inside the room. The toilets were better maintained. The bed linen was clean. but the furniture and the carpet are pathetic.
Very poor, tired and expensive hotel - bedroom was large with a comfortable bed, but the furniture, facilities and decor were like something from the 80's - needs a complete refurbishment. Had the look and feel of somewhere that should be a third of the price. No USB sockets. Was warned off using the pool by another guest as it isn't maintained, just like the rest of the hotel.
Where to start? At check in, we were a bit early and was told our room would not be available until check-in time at 3pm. Fine, we went out to their pool deck. My daughter wanted to take a nap and we then went to the lobby so she can lie on the couch (right in front of the check-in desk). At around 2pm, an old couple arrived and asked if they could check in. They were immediately given their key-card. I went to the desk just before 3pm and asked if there was any way that our room was ready. The check-in clerk proceeded to then say “oh, yeah.” As if he had not seen us sitting in the lobby for nearly an hour. Breakfast: 1. Horrible. Scrambled eggs were salty 2. Cubes of ham was cold 3. The coffee was disgusting and the apple juice was so sweet, my daughter nearly spat it out. We decided not to have breakfast on our second morning. Our room: Oh my word!!! 1. The tv remote didn't work. We had to switch the tv on at the actual tv and change channels and volume like that as well. 2. Telephone in the room - they don't do room service. Fine. They offer some restaurant options on their information leaflet. Dial 9, then area code and number. I kept getting through to the hotel messaging service. On my last try, I got through to the reception desk and told the guy that I can't seem to get through to any of the restaurants. His response? “That telephone maybe isn't authorised to make outside calls. You can use your own mobile.” Like what the heck??? 3. Coffee Machine - I ran the machine with just water three times before making a cup of coffee. Gross. The coffee was disgusting. 4. Bathroom - on the morning of our check out, the toilet would not flush the water down - like it was blocked. Didn't bother calling, because we were checking out anyway. 5. Wall sockets to charge phones, etc - falling out of the wall 6. Bed - small pillows. And the blanket was so thin, I couldn't sleep on our first night because I was so cold. There wasn't even any extra blanket. We used towels on our second night on top of the blanket to try and get more warmth. Vending Machines: 1. Wouldn't accept either of my cards (Visa AND Mastercard) 2. The machine on the ground floor didn't have bottled water 3. The machine on 2nd floor had bottled water, but the cash function was not working so I couldn't get any water as it declined my cards as well
Upon entering the room there was a heavy saturated stench. The carpet was musky smelling and the air-conditioner blew out a mildew stench. When you exit the room and re enter the smell hits you again. Inside the bathroom there was mold along the ceiling and the creases of the shower corners. The remote fir the tv didn't work. My room card key needed to be reset everyday. The water after taking a shower didn't drain properly. There was a dead roach on the wall. I asked for another room hoping it would be suitable for guest, however the hotel was fully booked. I tried to book a rooms at another hotel close by only to be informed they were fully booked as well. I will not be staying at another best Western or plus. The worst and deplorable hotel stay ever.
I asked if i can have early check in - NO I asked to apply vouchers applied i have - NOT APPLIED they copied the vouchers at check -in not applied I Paid FULL PRICE which was BLOODY RICULOUS WHAT THE HELLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dirty property! No stay over completed!!! They don't clean rooms and even change towels, bathroom was nasty and in general building is lack of maintenance, staff is under the average definitely worst hotels over that area please close that property
Since the minute we checked in we've had an awful experience. The room was dirty, the toiletries were used from the guest before, the shower was dirty & the water didn't heat up, the room smelt like mildew, hairdryer was broken, toilet didn't flush well. The worst part is when I called down to ask for another box of tissue ( the one in the room was empty from the guest before use) and a blanket. The front desk told us since they are “fully booked” they do not have anymore tissues or blankets. I can promise you they are not fully booked! We have no crossed one person in the halls/ lobby minus staff. Staff was on there phone the whole day and I had to wait for the front desk to finish his text to answer my question. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. If they don't have an extra blanket that means they probably don't wash their blankets just their sheets and repeat blankets with guest. Also their breakfast is cold coffee and molded oranges. Disgusting!!! Very disappointed with our stay. We will never be staying at a best western again. Staff was rude and unhelpful.
Front desk needs more knowledge on payment differences because I have promotional cards I can't use cause they only accept full payment no half payments. So I'm getting gift cards for what if I can't redeem them.
Not a good experience. No one at the front desk. Staff does not know how to use earned gift cards. The elevator was not working and no sign except the lobby floor so people were standing and waiting. The carpet was wet near the front of the room, bathroom not clean to standards, and shower tub was filthy. Breakfast was like early pandemic, get a few items in a bag and no one there to give it to you.
We made a reservation and drove to the hotel! When we arrived, they said: we have no rooms available! I made another reservation in a different hotel, drove approx 25 minutes when we arrived. The same thing: we have no rooms available! We made ANOTHER (3rd) reservation, drove 45 minutes to the OTHER hotel (opposite direction to where we were heading next morning (key west). When we arrived, they said NO ROOMS AVAILABLE! We had our 11 month old baby girl crying in a car seat because she couldn't lay down in a bed and it was already 3 am! And all they did was: sorry, there's nothing we could do! Thanks for nothing!
On our trip to Florida we stayed at Best Westerns which were fine except for this one. Where to begin: the foyer light was out, the night table light was defective and not working, the TV remote was defective, the tub soapdish was falling off the wall, the phone was defective and not working, the bathroom doorlock was defective and not working and the TV stations offered were very limited. All in all, an embarassment for Best Western. If you want a hassle free stay, this is not the place.
We paid extra for a room with a living room at upon arrival we were told there is no such a room and we received a smaller room. The mold smell in the room is terrible. Staff unfriendly, we asked for a blanket and it was a not, we asked to keep the luggage it was a no. We were three people we were given two towels we had to beg to get a third one. First time I have been in an hotel that refuse to keep the luggage on storage. Also first time the room is not cleaned during your stay. Do not choose this hotel for your stay in Doral.
I like the size of our room and size of our bed. There are small refrigerator and microwave oven, kitchen area in the room. There are hot water, paper glasses, tea and coffee near reception. Winn Dixie, CVS pharmacy, cafes are near hotel.
The stay here was ok. The room was clean and big, the location is pretty close to the airport which is why we picked it. The wifi was really bad, don't rely on needing it. Also there were not many channels on the tv. But it's an ok hotel if you just need somewhere to sleep for the night.
Rude staff, no In room coffee, cups, pens, paper. Dirty room. Torn bed cover. Mold in tub. Full of dust. Desk people refused to give cups, coffee, pillows, towels. Mildew smell real bad. Rocks filled the pool. It was gross. Never stay here. The staff lied to me on several occasions. Worst customer service ever.
Liked · The only thing positive was the friendliness of the night staff. Disliked · The maintenance level of the room was very poor. The main entry light flickered constantly on and off. So, you had to keep it off even though I wanted to have better light there, The refrigerator had a long term leak as evidenced by the fact that the water had stained the carpet and it was wet to step on. The cooling/heating system thermostat made no difference to the temperature of the air which came out so the room was cooler than I wanted, And, finally, the water in the bath was lukewarm at best. So, I was not able to take a hot shower. Certainly the wet floor and light were obvious and the fact that they were not addressed means the staff didn't care enough to resolve them. Why not ask to change rooms? I had driven 15 hours, was exhausted and did not want to hassle with changing As for the continental breakfast and staff service, it was a joke. The staff were sitting outside talking by the pool. They saw me and did not care to come in to see what I needed until I asked them to. Then they came and got a bag from the back with an apple , a packaged dry waffle and a breakfast bar. I had to ask for a plate and for syrup. Of course they had gone back outside to chat again. Covid seems to be a good excuse for poor service and quality. The food should have been out and the staff there to great guests and explain how their breakfast was set up to operate. Oh, and the wake-up call that I requested never came. Good thing Google Assistant is reliable!
I had a very bad experience at the Best Western Plus in Miami-Doral/Dolphin Mall on December 30th, 2020. I brought my family in to celebrate the new year holiday. I checked in around 9:30pm and I immediately left to get food due to our long flight. Upon arrival back, I called the front desk because the tub was full of hair, dirt, and mold. I asked the front desk agent if he had a different room due to the problem and he said no before hanging up in my face. I was still talking and could not finish questioning him. While I was walking across the street to the Marriott to see if they had any rooms available due to this issue, my wife contacted me and let me know he came in the room to clean the bathroom. My wife stayed on the phone with me the whole time because her and my daughter was scared because of his attitude and how he presented the situation when coming to check out the room for himself. Please note that my daughter and I both have allergies to mold. Upon arrival back, I started questioning him about getting my refund so we could move to a different lodging facility. He ignored me and didn't want to process my refund. He even walked away while I was questioning him; he went to the back area and slammed the door. I had to threaten to call the local police department for him to process my refund and to give me a $0 receipt so I could move on. He continued to talk to me as if I was bothering him as he continued to have a personal conversation on his cellular device. I will never again stay at a Best Western lodging facility and I will definitely be telling my friends and family not to stay there. I'm a Pastor of a very large congregation and I will also be telling my congregants and their families about this bad experience that I received from your staff. I will also be contacting the health department about this issue.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the Best Western Plus Miami Doral/Dolphin Mall. Because of the entry restriction which depends on the Covid-19 measures we were not able to make our vacation trip in the USA this year. For this reason, we requested the hotel to cancel our booking in consideration the Covid-19 situation and measures. Regrettably we didn´t receive any answer, instead the cancellation fees were charged in full. So little goodwill earned only one point!
Been here this summer, and service was crappy, with rude hospitality and no extra's when a room is super dirty. Asking for a better room, but only when paying a lot of extra. A hotel room should be clean, and this hotel is nasty.
Pros: Ample, nicely renovated lobby Pleasant, accommodating staff, fast WiFi Nice small pool but no chaise loungers, straight stiff chairs Cons: Stayed three nights in three different rooms First room had no curtains, unnecessarily woke up with the sunlight at 6:00am For that reason changed to room with curtains only to change rooms again at 11:00pm because AC in that room stopped working and flooded the carpet Rooms look "tired", in dire need of renovation and YES, there was a strong MUSTY smell in all three rooms
Property refused to refund prepaid amount for unused room nights. We booked the room for a relative. When we tried to obtain a specific clarification from the manager for their denial, we encountered evasive and uncooperative behavior.
Pablo from the front desk was excellent! Very funny and personable. Made the whole stay much more enjoyable! The property was very average but the service was good! Wished the room was a little cleaner. but good stay overall.
Staff went out of their way to facilitate a small training session for us. Provided seperation between the students etc. Breakfast service was not permitted due to COVID-19 but the staff made us feel welcome and we were able to get take out from a nearby Chick-fil-a.
When we arrived at the hotel the person at the desk was greeting us and welcoming us. Told us that our other hotel was closed because they owned both properties and had to shut that down for now because of the virus. Gave us different places to go out to grap lunch and dinner. I forgot his name though. The whole staff was awesome. I am hoping to go back again soon.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly and will always make you feel welcomed. No matter what time of the day you enter, they are there to greet and ask if anything is needed. The rooms are also very clean.
My wife and I were going on a river cruise to France, I booked a night at the beginning and end of the trip, as we were flying to Miami from Trinidad and Tobago. Last night our government put France and Germany as addition to the 14 day quarantine period. Thus making it impossible for us to do any of the trip They are also saying quarantine may be extended to USA and (UK) in near future Best Western refused to reduce the cancellation fee of total cost for each night, even though it is no fault of ours. GUess we will never use BW again
Since the moment of check in Renzo Pablo Isabella and Mario were very polite and professional they are always willing to help in any needs. thank you again. if any guest wants to book a room please feel free to call them to book a reservation
I used to stay in Best Western because of their quality of rooms and good deals but this was a big deception. We book in here and as we arrived staff was not friendly offering us a room that was busy! Yes! We open the door with the key facilitated by the staff and a lady was laying in the bed. The staff did not apologize for that and give us another room. Last night, people were parting next to my room at 5:30 am so I call front desk asking for their help to put volume down, but the answer was unexpected. The person in charge say to me “this is a hotel I can not help you”. I thought we are in a hotel not in a disco. Next time I want to party I will book in here, but if I want to rest I will look other options! So sad a hotel can give you bad experience because of a bad educated staff!
Friendly staff Paulo was amazing front desk. Location was great, same parking lot as many restaurants easy in walking distance. the shuttle only runs a few times a day so we did not get to use it but cabs were not really expensive and if you have Uber it would be cheaper.
We returned from a cruise and extended our stay in Miami. The hotel was clean and the area was great. Dolphin mall was near by and they offered shuttles to the mall and also offered shuttles to the airport in the morning.
All hotel smell moistures and old. Rooms are not so cleans and desk attention is deficiently. Good advise just stay one night because more will be boring. Breakfast are included but it's quite the same everyday it's quite poor and cheap better take it outside.
We checked in for 1 night at around 8pm. The agent at the desk rudely said - this man is first, that man over there is next, go take a seat over there until they are done..oh here is the wifi code. I was taken aback but said nothing and walked to the side. This being Superbowl weekend, the men could not decide what to do, so they left. The 2nd family waiting was served then I walked back up. He proceeded to ignore me and serve an elderly lady addressing her in Spanish who had just walked in. I politely said Oh i thought you were serving in order? I may be African-American but I am not invisible. He proceeded to tell her something in Spanish and then serve me. We went upstairs and went into the room only to discover the carpet was WET. Seems like they just cleaned the rug and so it was damp and musty. Probably didnt have enough time to dry.The room smelled horrible. I had to go out of the room cause breathing was a challenge. I phoned downstairs to see if they could give us air freshener, someone came up and immediate sprayed the carpet, he did not spray in the air but sprayed the air freshener on the carpet itself. Because I had traveled ALL DAY long, I was tired and told my sister its only for the night. We will make it through and leave in the morning. The tub had mildew around the tub mat, hair was on the toilet seat AND the toilet seat was stained. More debris was on the floor and I pointed them out to her but we were so tired and it was only for a few hours so we rode it out. Before settling for the night I went to the Vending machine on each floor and ALL were out of bottled water! We came downstairs to check out around 10am and she decided she wanted some of their hot breakfast. We sat down to eat. Some of the workers were gathering around the eating area and they began to talk about us. How do you know, well 3 of them was facing me and as they began to talk in spanish the worker whose back was toward me turned around and began to stare for the longest. As if that was not bad enough, another worker came out the back and began to do the same thing. Unsure what the guy from the night before may have told them and dont really care. This is unmistakably a prejudice joint - wont be visiting them again. When I decided to travel I had no idea it was super-bowl weekend in Miami so needless to say, most of the hotels were booked. You would think that as a hotel, they would be used to visitors of all ethnicity, nationality, height, weight, size, socio-economic status etc - but I guess not! I sat in awe and just observed. Life is funny. Here I am the owner of a million dollar group of companies and the 'help' is judging me. TRULY you cant judge a book by its cover! If you are Latino, sure I can recommend that you go for a stay - you probably wont encounter any challenges, if you are not, spare yourself and choose another venue to stay.
I had a business trip scheduled during the busy Super Bowl weekend and Best Western Plus was one of the few places with rooms left (understandably). The hotel location was also ideal as it was near to my meetings. However given how bad my stay was and to pay over $500 - I felt cheated. Before even arriving, Booking.com had no idea of the status of my reservation even though it was done through them. They sent me a notification that it my reservation was cancelled when it was not. This understandably caused unnecessary panic as I had already been charged a deposit and was packing my bags to go. Thankfully upon calling the hotel they were able to confirm that my booking was still in place. Summary: Rooms dated; old furniture. I didnt use any of the drawers as they were all dusty and i couldnt have my clothes near that. Smelly carpet - needs to be deep cleaned ASAP. The dust/pollen irritated my sinuses so badly i could barely breathe at night. The WIFI was absolutely atrocious. Imagine being on a business trip and totally unable to connect to an email server. Just ridiculous. The vending machines had no stock (whats the point of having them). The breakfast just appeared really lacklustre so I only had coffee and juice. At least the towels and bathroom were clean. I really expected better from the hotel for a simple 2-night stay but was thoroughly disappointed. I will not be returning.
This is a first class hotel. The rooms are large. Everything looks new. Quality furnishings and fixtures. It is very clean. Within a short walk of good places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay. More expensive on weekends.
We chose this Best Western as our post cruise stay for 3 days before returning home. I liked the location and it was easy to get to as well it was very easy to get to the airport when we were leaving. I found the exterior updated as well as the spacious entry way/breakfast area. Pablo I believe checked us in and he was professional and personable. Our room like most BW's we've stayed at was very spacious and it had the tall ceilings. I think that I may have been spoiled by my last 2 BW stays elsewhere as I was expecting their super comfy Simmons bed and extra large pillows, unfortunately this BW did not have those features......we slept well regardless. I did find the decor in the room a little blah, plain white stucco walls....no paintings or decorations. The wifi was unbelievably quick, I thought my iPhone was brand new it worked so well. The tv channels were limited and the picture on the espn channels was very dark and blurry. Shower pressure was a little weak but hot water was plentiful. Breakfast was great, a variety of hot items daily..... the breakfast area ladies worked hard. Checkout was a breeze, my receipt was emailed to me promptly. A great stay here in Doral, this property requires a car to make getting around easier but everything you need isn't more than a 15 minute drive. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area and I would recommend this property to others as well.
Hotel is very sub standard, had humidity all over the room very bad smell, staff told us that it was so. Very noisy room you could hear upper door showers and water coming down intra walls, bathroom dirty badly repaired
The hotel stuff during my stay was not properly trained on billing calculations and on redemption of travel cards and gift cards. I was mis-charged twice the wrong amount on my credit card. Post stay service is very poor as emails are ignored or responded without any text on them, not easy to reach them via phone which causes issues for foreigners calling from abroad. My issue is still ongoing after 1 week from the visit. Other aspects of the stay were ok but sadly the service has a very big impact on hotel experience.
Excellent hotel, great location, friendly and very Jhoni CB ok staff especially Pablo and Angel. Located just minutes away from dolphin mall and great restaurants. You can access through the turnpike!
Excellent, Location is safe and good around Hotel, services is very decent. nothing to complain Breakfast is very good too, have everything you need for average continental breakfast. Shuttle from Miami airport to hotel should be til 8:30 pm or 9:00 pm. We missed the last trip on 8:00 pm
Best Western Plus Doral is nice. You feel at home. It is clean, comfortable and has o good breakfast. But it is too far from everywhere. The only place that is kind of close is Dolphin mall. So if you don't rent a car it is not a good choice.
Arrived at the hotel following a 2 week cruise for a one night stay prior to flying home. We arrived at the hotel at half 9 and was treated by the women on reception who let us leave our luggage with them and let us help ourselves to breakfast and drinks. Within 45 minutes our room was ready for check in which was a great surprise. This hotel offer free shuttle to dolphin mall both in the morning and afternoon and then also shuttle service to the hotel which we utilised
Stayed here while checking out Miami and Big Cypress National Preserve. The room was clean and large. Staff was friendly. Check in and check out was easy. We stayed in a suite with a king bed. Room had a microwave and small frig with a freezer big enough to fit a 32 oz gatorade bottle. TV station selection was really limited and the picture was a little dark even after trying to adjust. The bathroom had a doorstop 6-8 inches away from the tub and I almost smashed my toe the first night after closing the door and stepping toward the tub. Not a good place for a door stop (see pic). The breakfast had a really good variety of food with something different each day. Scrambled eggs everyday, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt with dried fruit and granola selection, pastries, croissants, bread, peanut butter and jelly packets, ham and cheese one day to make breakfast sandwiches, oranges, apples, bananas, orange juice, milk, cereals, coffee and a pancake maker which was different. The location is about 30 min to Miami and 1 hr 15 min to Big Cypress National Preserve. People liked the Everglades, but from what I read it's mostly flat wetlands. Not worth the 30.00 entrance fee to me. Big Cypress has more scenery and it's free. We did an airboat ride with Wootens. If you book online you can save 2 bucks and you get access to their animal park which is small but interesting. There are alligators, crocodiles, a panther, otter, 2 tigers and a lion and lioness. The alligator show was interesting and you get to hold a 40 lb or a 5 lb alligator after the show.
This hotel advertises a shuttle service from the airport but they didn't show up for THREE HOURS! We kept calling them and they kept telling us they were on their way. If they would have told us the truth we would have called a taxi. Horrible service.
Where to start.. checkin was pretty easy, Maritza and Kayla were pleasant and professional. The highlight of the trip however was our interaction with Pablo and Emmanuel at the Front Desk. These gentlemen are awesome sauce. I happen to be a Front Office Manager for a 5 star resort in the caribbean and I would hire these gentlemen in a Heart beat. Always smiling, engaging,.prompt and efficient. Pablo is especially engaging asking industry related questions, clearly loves what he does and wants to grow in his career. I trust the management team is zooming in on their talents. Would certainly return
We leaving tomorrow from a 7 day stay at this hotel and the experience was great. Housekeeping Was on time and did a great job, but I wanna take the time out and shout out 2 of my favorite staff which was Pablo and Emmanuel, Pablo always full of energy and always willing to help everyone and the rest of the front desk was also great Kayla and maritza. Will defenately be coming back. Once again shout out to PABLO aka Pablo Escobar.
The staff was excellent from check in to check out, they were very helpful, special shout-out to Kayla, Maritza, Emanuel and Alex from the front desk they were all very helpful, The biggest Shoutout to PABLO at the desk he's energetic always has a smile on his face and always willing to help. We will Definitely Return !!!!
Clean room , fast check in and check out, central location, relaible shuttle service and good breakfast . Very helpful and professional staff. Friendly staff will to assist at all hours. Good location
I stayed at Best Western Doral for about 4days.I must say i was pleasantly surprised. All in all it was value for money.Breakfast and daily Mall shuttle was all worth it. For 1st timers be sure you understand how the airport shuttle works as this can almost ruin your 1st day as it almost did for me.This was the only bad point for me.All in all if you are looking for a non luxurious trip and dont plan to spend your time at the hotel it's a go from me. Be sure to pick up dinner before heading back in as the nearby restaurants all close pretty early if you feel hungry after 9/10pm.
We stayed there on 4th september for 1 night. Alvaro gave us a great welcome and the day after a great goodbye together with his manager (I do not know her name). She gave my daughter a little doll to play with during our long flight to Amsterdam. Great stay! Nice breakfast!
We got in early 7:30am on the 19th Aug... the young lady at the front was very accommodating when I called to advise that we were at the airport... she arranged the shuttle, bfast and a room for us until housekeeping go through cleaning the vacant rooms.. after such long flight all we wanted was food, shower and sleep... the room was clean, AC worked too well (those of you that love the cold).. I'm from the tropics not too big on Ac, towels , sheets, everything was great...
The hotel has restaurants in walking distance. CVS pharmacy. Fast food options as well. Clean pool. Shuttle to the Dolphin mall. Good WiFi. Breakfast with nice options. Adequate Free parking. Great location away from main. ATM in the lobby.
My first time staying with them and it will be my last at this location. When i first came i was in great health, by next morning im sick. Fever, sore throat, cough, sneezing,etc... As if that wasnt bad enough i was charged twice from 2 diffrent best westerns when i was only staying at one. Breakfast sausage not cooked at all. Plumbing issues, etc.
I feel very comfortable staying at this location. When I land at Miami International I usually call the front desk and then I'm picked up by the shuttle in a very timely manner. The check-in and check-out process is seamless. The rooms are clean, and the WiFi is reliable. I am able to keep in touch with my office and work virtually.
Overall service was great...breakfast was awesome...clean environment...very happy and friendly staff. The room was clean and my daughter was overjoyed with free WIFI eveywhere. We felt completely safe.
The hotel is located in Doral district, which is not close to the sea but it is quiet instead. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a petrol station nearby. The hotel has got a small pool (which unfortunately we didn't use due to the rainy weather) and a free of charge car park with enough parking places at all times. They offer quite good breakfasts (but no lunches or dinners are available) and there is coffee, tea and ice at the lobby area all day round. You can also make coffee or tea in your room. Apart from that there is a fridge, a microwave and a sink in the room. The room itself is quite big so there would be enough space even if you have lots of luggage. But it was the bed that we found the biggest asset of the room - really, really comfortable and big. There was also some equipment which we did not use at all such as a hairdrier, an iron or a TV set. The only thing I would put on the minus side is hotel's not being eco-friendly. E.g. all the cutlery and crockery is plastic or styrofoam disposable. Also in the shower the more you open the tap the hotter the water gets, so you cannot use weak stream of water unless you are enough "green" to bathe in cold water and our towels were changed even though we did not leave them on the floor. Of course it does not mean that the maintanance or room service is poor. On the contrary, they are very thorough. But these things seem not to be important to the management. However, after this two-week trip to America (Florida) I can tell that it is a general tendency. I mean environmental issues do not appear to be regarded as seriously in America as they are in Europe. All in all, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay in Best Western in Doral.
A very clean and pleasant hotel located about 30 mins drive from Miami International Airport. Friendly staff, tasty breakfasts, free parking and WiFi. The hotel has a small pool and several sun loungers. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant, so the remaining meals can be eaten at a reasonable price in nearby bars / restaurants. Coffee, tea and ice available free of charge at the reception 24/7. The rooms have a fridge, a microwave and a small sink for washing dishes. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning was correctly located (it does not blow directly onto the bed).
We stay at the hotel all the time and everytime is better than the next. Emanuel at the front desk is very accommodating and has a very positive energy to him, he's always excited to greet his guests and makes sure we are taken care of. Phenomenal!
It was an enjoyable stay.Alex at the front desk is exceptional. He made sure that we were comfortable at all times. The breakfast is great and the coffee is divine. Will definitely stay here again during my next stay in Miami.
I recently went with my family for a girls trip and stayed at this hotel! We took the room with the king bed and the pull out bed...it was perfect for us! Had a small kitchenette and was super clean (except for the one day they didn't make the bed's,but I'm guessing that was because we left the "don't change our sheets sign" on the beds). The breakfast was great and the customer service was indeed ideal. Especially these two younger guys who worked the night shifts (can't remember both their names but I think one was Pablo and the other was Emmanuel) but they were an absolute delight!. Everyone was willing to help us with any questions or queries and the location is ideal for those who are looking to go shopping! The location to dolphin and international mall is super quick and their shuttle service is always on time! All in all a great place for a quick get-away to go enjoy the malls!
Very clean and updated. Breakfast is above average, great hot and cold choices. Clerks were courteous and efficient. Check in and out quick. Nice pool and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel wasn't very good, they served breakfast every morning, there was a pool, fitness center, and bar. I was quite impressed. Very nice place to stay. Worth your $$$. Would definitely stay here again, unless I want to be closer to the city Miami.
We loved the breakfast , hot and enough sortisortiment. Eggs ham and the overBest was the fresh waffel. Áll day Coffee is very nice idea. Grab and go breakfast useful Helpful polite staff. Huge rooms confi and huge bed. Good quality shampoo and showergel. Good located as there is shops for food just beside the hotel also a petrolstation! Big free parking and fast wifi. We recomend.
This was my third time staying at this hotel and like the previous 2 times I enjoyed every minute of it. Special thanks to Eduardo, who by the way understands and speaks Dutch. The free mall shuttle is a very welcome service. Keep up the good work.
Overall everything have been great thanks to Emmanuel and Pablo we will be coming back for sure thanks to them . Very friendly and welcoming people. Ladies that work on breakfast are sweethearts!!!!!!
Hotel and rooms were clean updated and well maintained. The staff were professional and helpfull. The breakfast food and beverage options were vared and delicious. There is also a wide varity of restaurants in wolking distance. Malls and shopping close by.
We arrived for one night before our flight back home . The room wasn't clean enough and there is bad smell in the room . There is shuttle to Dolphin mall and the airport . Nice breakfast and kind pepole
Everyday the breakfast was different and fresh. My room when i come back from shopping is always clean. Yely, Pablo, and Destiny, jenny, and Corina were very kind and helpful. Hotel transportation was also great.
The stay was enjoyable. The hotel is located in very close proximity to the shopping malls and good eating spots. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish the breakfast offered a bit more. But what we did have was okay.
I truly appreciated the team member's efforts to provide good service. The rooms are a bit tired and better cleanliness is needed. The quality of bathroom amenities need to be Improved. Hats off to the team members who extend great service!
Really nice hotel with pretty good prices compared to other hotels in the area. Nice rooms, nice friendly staff, clean and close to many things in the area. We love Top Golf so it's only about 2 miles away and close to a lot of shopping. Wish it had a bar in the hotel but that's the only drawback. But there are a few places in walking distance to get some food and wine or beer. We'd stay here again.
We had a great welcome. Paulo and Ericka were amazing and very helpful and kind. I really recommend the hotel. We will be back!! Many restaurants around the hotel. Shuttle service to Dolphin Mall and airport. Breakfast was very good.
Great place to stay whether for business or leisure. Very friendly and helpful staff, great service, exceptionally clean, conveniently located to fine dining and great shopping. Breakfast is commendable.
We booked for one night when we arrived back from Turks. Found it easily from the airport. Does have a shuttle, (for information) but we had a rental. Staff were exemplary. The lovely Girls on reception, plus the room tending staff, all so friendly and helpful. We liked it so much, and slept so well, we stayed two more days. Our lady who tended the room was always on hand to offer more coffee, soap etc. What a sweetheart. As I said, the staff were top notch. I did notice them dealing with some really obnoxious individuals, and my answer would not have been so eloquent, believe me. They handle themselves well, may BW have head hunted the best staff in the area. This hotel will be our new ‘go to', we really felt at home here. Also the breakfast is plentiful. I mean, who needs seven courses to get their monies worth? There were so many items on offer, you'd be sick if you ate everything. Huge car park, smoking area outside, both sides of foyer, cleaned regularly, it's the guest who let it down. Ten out of ten BW......nailed it!
The hotel is nice to look at but the carpets are very dirty and the rooms are very smelly. They smell like wet dirty gym clothes. The staff is friendly and helpful but the smell within the hallways and the rooms are very poor.
I called the hotel and contactes them in advance in connection with some amazon packages that arrived before Myself. Unfortunately, the hotel staff to reject my packages without my authorization. I contacted Twiter and the answer was contradictory with the local manager. Clearly she cant run an hotel!
We stayed for one night during our roadtrip from Key West to Orlando. At check-in we discovered that our room was on the ground floor. When we expressed concerns about it, we were told to blame ourselves because 'this was the room we chose to book'. No information was provided at booking that the room was at the ground floor. So we end up staying there, no efforts were made to assure us or to move us to another room. At check-out, front desk worker refused to give me a receipt of my stay there. It is a mystery why! Breakfast is lower than the average, mostly due to unhappy staff who sighs when they need to help you. I felt that it wasa a huge burden for them to fix some plastic glass for juice. Only edible items at breakfast were scrambled eggs, pancakes and scarce fresh fruit (some apples and a pear in a basket). Other items on the meny tasted plastic! Beds were really uncomfortable. The worst thing was the unpleasent smell we could not identify the source.
It was our last night in Florida after a trip in Miami and Orlando. The hotel is quite okay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was a quite cold, but perfect area for a 3-star hotel. The breakfast was average. The only thing I don't understand: the plastic plates during breakfast. I know, it does not require extra staff, but what about with the environment? Please! Change it to reuseable ones!
We stayed here one night, before leaving on a cruise out of Miami. Check-in was quick, and the rooms very quite nice and large. We had two beds plus a couch, and dining area. There is a Chick-fil-A next door, and a few other restaurants within walking distance. Plus a CVS at the corner, to stock up on any last minute items. The breakfast area is nice, with tables inside, or outside around the pool. There were lots of good options for breakfast. It was quite busy when we were there, but people moved through quickly. The pool looked very nice, but we didn't have time to use it.
I had a bad experience. The service wasn't helpful at all to my needs. They failed to produce a proper receipt of the bill. Also, the shower didn't work properly. I don't recommend anyone staying here.
Great overnight stay after our cruise and before flight home next day. Our room was ready hours before normal check in which was so greatly appreciated. Enjoyed the pool area, close to shopping with free shuttle, a few restaurant choices in walking distance. Safe, clean area. Could have used a more frequent airport shuttle, had to Lyft instead since the schedule didn't work for our flight time midday.
I stayed on the 4th floor and was "upgraded" to a suite. The AC didn't work (which I didn't mind) but as a result the room smelt awful. It had a disgusting moldy smell. When I told reception on the way out they said that the carpet does that when it isn't cold enough. Rooms definitely can use an update and carpets probably need to be changed if they smell when it's too warm. The bathroom was clean. Bathtub/shower looked like it was recently redone so that was nice. I asked for a taxi to get me to the airport and I was told that someone would be picking me up (car make and color was given to me) and it would cost 70$ cash. No credit card. I asked that they call me a taxi with a credit card machine (this was a business trip) and I was told that people pay cash and they could not call anyone who accepted credit card. I found that very odd and chose to find an alternative option. (Yes, I need to get the uber app). It was very odd and I questioned how legitimate the response was. Overall dont think it is worth the 175 a night.
Worst stay ever bed will sink in and all you feel is the springs. Shower curtains So dirty and stained you don't want to shower. Tv was so dark you can't even enjoy the news or the super bowl. Towels so hard and old you scratch your self when you dry yourself. Telling all this to the assistant manager all she had to say was to bad and to top it off being a platinum member for what to be treated like this. Never ever staying in this nasty hotel ever again. Motel 6 probably would of been a better stay then this hellhole.
We stayed at The Best Western Plus after leaving a cruise ship for one night before flying home to the UK. Firstly we arrived very early knowing that our room would not be ready, they were very welcoming and stored our luggage while we took the complimentary shuttle to the nearby Dolphin Mall returning later in the afternoon. Our room was ready for us and was very clean and quite big. We walked just a couple of hundred yards to the DiVieto restaurant which is very highly recommended, the service was fantastic and the food was superb at a price which was quite reasonable for a good restaurant in Miami. The following day we took the complimentary shuttle to the Miami International Malls for mire retail therapy, again while the hotel stored our luggage when we returned ate afternoon again, we claimed our luggage and took the complimentary shuttle to the airport. The staff at the hotel were all superb, the service could not be faulted and all at a price well below a lot of other hotels in the area. Oh I forgot to mention the complimentary buffet breakfast !! Fantastic value !!
The hotel is nice and clear, staff very friendly, room was nice and clean. Downfall was the shuttle service. We called the hotel, upon arrival at MIA, and were asked to call again once we had our bags. I did tell them we were a group of 6. When the shuttle arrived at MIA, 45 minutes later he only had room for 2 of us. We opted to cab it, which was a $38 + tip ride due to the time of day (5pm Friday). That was a HUGE disappointment.I would recommend the hotel, but do not rely on the shuttle, unless you don't mind the wait
I enjoyed my stay here and my room was clean and spacious. The shuttle service to Dolphin and Miami Int malls were great and we utilized them. Breakfast was limited but sufficient. I honestly would stay here again.
There was an mole odor in all the hotel, in particular in our room there was I big wet stain that I think was dog's pee... orribile really orribile and seems that nobody could smell it. When I asked to change room they also tried to tell me that was not possible, just when I said that I would change hotel they helped us.
Let me just tell you this I go to hotels a lot especially the Best Western one but this hotel is not Best Western worthy or hotel worthy at all. I slept here with my family for just one night but that one night is the most terrible night I ever had in a hotel. The beda were terrible small two people barely fit in it but it is ment for four people like come on. The air conditioning was under the window which made the curtain go up and moving very very very annoying. The rooms were not cleaned and the cloest was just broken and now the most horrible thing. THE SMELL OF THE HOTEL..... terrible smell just horrible.. it smelled like there had something died... damp and dusty smell which was not nice since I was coughing before hand but after the visit I started coughing more and more. The room was also really humid stuff was getting wet like any paper you have in the room will get wet. Then the breakfast was good but the staff was horrible unfriendly staff and they didn't even restock the food, they were taking calles and unboxing a new delivery during breakfast???? It was busy and the food was almost out but no they had better things to do. I would not recommend this hotel to any one and if you have this hotel booked pls pls pls cancel it immediately... book a new hotel it is totally worth it!
We rented two rooms for our family of five. Both rooms had a foul smell of mold, and seemed very damp. If you didn't have asthma or allergy, this would be a great place to get it. The rooms were huge, but with an unusable strange layout unless you need a sort of dance hall. The interior designer probably didn't go by here. Breakfast was ok, as a small plus they got almond milk!?
Really nice hotel with a friendly staff. From the front desk to the room attendants everyone was very nice and help full. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a king size bed, but there was also a sofa bed. Close to all my shopping needs and breakfast had everything I wanted. Very Good indeed!
The hotel is very clean and pleasant with very helpful staff willing to assist you. The breakfast is not very extensive but tasty. House keeping is excellent and the shuttle service runs on time to the various malls.
Location excellent for shopping at the Malls and coles to the airport. The shuttle service is very efficient and on time to the malls and airport. I will definitely recommend some to say at this hotel.
The experience overall it was excellent specially the person at the Front desk by the name of PABLO, amazing approaching service and open to resolve any of my problems at the moment. The front desk service with Pablo it was very friendly and professional. I really appreciate my stay in this property. i know there are many hotels on the surroundings but this will be my very first choice thanks to Pablo.
The hotel is ok! It is clean and the breakfast is basic. But some of the staff speak no English at all! I know this is miami but I think hotel staff should at least understand basic English. I need a towel pleaseeeeee!
I only stayed for one night but the hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff were not overly friendly but efficient. The breakfast was average but not great. Dolphin Mall is approx. 15 minutes away from the hotel by taxi. This hotel is good value for money if you are overnighting.
The rooms are large, and clean, and the beds are comfortable. We stayed a total of 9 nights. They rotate the breakfast options so you don't get bored of eating the same things and there are a wide variety of options (waffles, oatmeal, baked goods, etc.) The shuttle service is also extremely convenient and saves you a lot of money, however you must be on time for pick up or they will leave you at the malls and you'll have to find your way back to the hotel on your own. All in all, we'll definitely be staying here again in the future.
This was my 2nd stay at this hotel within a year and as usual the service and value for money was good. My only suggestions are for more brightness to the rooms including newer carpets, better tv service and more space in the bathroom.
I'm at the hotel staying as a guest and the Lady at the front desk answering the phone so she has no more pillows she only has one he's pillows are we 12” x 12” not nearly enough for my daughter or myself I cannot believe a hotel the stature representing best Western has no extra pillows the owner should be aware of this Coming to a best western in the future bring your own pillows plenty of them At 70 years young I need proving up for health, they don't care about us older folks Rate this property at a1star just because of the WiFi Also the service stinks and the rooms smell mildew, needs Re modling Vince
I had a second floor room facing the parking lot and the amenities for the room we're fine but the room constantly was damp. I thought that the air conditioner over time would dry the room out but it did not The location of the hotel in Doral was good. Easy access to everything I needed to get to in Hialeah and Medley. Self serve breakfast included.
My first time at this hotel and it was definitely a wonderful experience!!!!!!!!Keep up the great work Best Western Plus!!!!!!!!!The Front Desk, Kitchen Staff, House Keeping Staff were all very friendly, cooperative, helpful and very kind in their service during my stay and to others from my observations in general.
Great rooms, great staff, great location for restaurants. Food with in walking distance. Great breakfast. Nice pool, close access to Turnpike. Would make a great business gathering hotel. Shuttle to Airport constantly running.
Bathrooms extremely small, if door open you can not access toilet or shower. Terrible architect design. Door in bathrooms must be changed to swing outside. Good location near tollway. Televison do not have HD channels. Internet is fast enough.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. Check in was fairly quick and hassle free. Our room was spacious however, smelt dusty, stale and damp. I experienced constant sneezing attacks whenever we switched the air conditioner on and the air which it blew out had an awful smell to it. The bathroom was in pretty poor condition. The tub looked as though it had been painted over and was chipped in many places. The water wasn't as hot as I would have preferred nor, was the water pressure great. It was evident that the rooms aren't cleaned very thoroughly as I had found a receipt dated 22/08/2018 (pic attached) on the floor between the bedside table and bed - so it's from 3 weeks ago!! You would think that rooms are cleaned thoroughly at least once a week. Breakfast was basic and served on plastic plates, so much so that I skipped breakfast altogether on 6 of the 7 mornings we were there. The staff at reception were not the friendliest, which is really surprising given that Americans are amazingly friendly and fantastic when it comes to customer service. Although the location was good, this is certainly not a hotel which I would stay at again.
Stayed one night before boarding a cruise. Hotel was perfectly located with stores for last minute essentials and restaurants for din din. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Hotel had a pool which my son had an amazing time playing in. The free breakfast was your typical breakfast. Simple and good. Only downfall was only one elevator which was pretty slow. Would stay again.
The hotel is well located if you want to go shopping. There is a shuttle service to Dolphin Mall and Intl. Mall. During our stay some areas was out of order. Our main disappointment was the Business Center was closed for this reason. The breakfast was ok, not say guau. Near the hotel are some restaurants you can explore to have a "a la carte" dinner. One of the member of party is gluten intolerant, crossing the street is "Amaizee" a corn-based restaurant that offers gluten-free choices.
Best Western Doval has Agents that gave Exceptional Service, The hotel had Great Price and Comfortable Clean Rooms.Very convenient to the Port/ Shopping Malls, Free Shuttle service from the Airport was a bit long to wait but got there eventually. Food was easily accessable right outside the hotel as well as parking for my rental car was free.
Clean and convenient. Airport and mall shuttle and daily breakfast.Friendly staff and service. Internet was reliable and the check-in and check out process was fast and reliable. The location of hotel in compound with restaurants also very convenient
Clean rooms and free wifi for members. Complimentary breakfast and near Dolphin Mall. Staff was adequate. They are renovating, which is always a good thing. Amenities could be a bit better as far as shampoo, soap, towels etc but you can always call down.
A convenient location for visiting the malls. The room was clean and the cleaning staff did a good job. The breakfast offered some variety and there are several other eateries close by. Only complaint is the tired looking furniture but some upgrading is taking place and the free shuttle to the mall four times daily is a big plus. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Will return.
My family and I stayed here for 5nights in August 2018, and it was the worst. The breakfast is cheap, and if you are going to get breakfast like 5 mins before the cut off time you will get no breakfast, they are not friendly. Everyday it's the same breakfast: boil egg, bread, thinly sliced ham susage, oats, cheese slices, and sometimes you lucky if you get a mini doughnut. Plus the breakfast area never had place to sit, you have to go back to your room to eat. Give us 1soap and 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner for a family of four. We had to ask for more. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.
The hotel is well located and the room was really good, as well as the facilities in the hotel. Coming from Europe I still find continental freakfast a bit too simple, but at least eveything was fresh.
Best Western Plus Miami/Doral Dolphin Mall is a very clean and well managed hotel. The shuttle pick up from the airport was quite timely, we waited approximately 20 minutes on the shuttle after phoning the hotel to let them know that we had arrived. The shuttle service to and from the mall was quite well organised and although at times the driver had to make more than one trip with hotel guests at no time were you waiting for an extremly long time for the shuttle. We requested extra pillows and blankets and they were promptly delivered to our room. The breakfast area was being remodeled while we were there and based on the little glances that I had into the new area it really would be a "pretty" breakfast room once the renovations are completed. I will definitely stay at this Bewst Western Plus Miami-Doral because of its location and the convenience of the shuttle service.Thank you to the sfaff and housekeeping for ensuring that we had a good stay at your hotel.Allyson Dwarka
This hotel is clean and comfortable. My husband and I were pleased that we got our moneys worth. I have stayed in other hotels in Miami but this is definitely the hotel that I will be returning to....it is a convenient location. The breakfast was also good....really worth the package.
I booked this hotel because it seemed a reasonable option for a long stay. Wrong choice. 1) My room has humidity in the carpet near the bath room, that has stayed since day 1 to day 25. I wet my socks every time I forget and step on the area. They tried to fix it, but it is still there. 2) There is only one washing machine for the whole hotel, and it often gets broken. No bill to coin changing machine in the hotel, had to walk to the gas station to get coins for the machine. 3) The gym, is just a tiny room with 2 bicycles, a walker, an elliptic machine, a multipurpose machine and few free weights. Everything is cropped in there with no good air circulation. I get hot as hell every time I try to work up there. 4)Room booked for 2 people. After been the only person living there for more than 3 weeks they failed to register my name on their list, therefore rejected a package I ordered. Instead of an apology I ended been indirectly blamed for the situation. 5) The only single thing I'm actually glad about is the cleaning service team and the maintenance guys, they are very nice people always ready to help.
The room which I stayed at was very outdated. Everything was old and worn; from the decor, the carpet, the bed, the furniture...added to this there was a dusty smell everytime we returned to the room.
They offer such a great service at the front desk. Assist me with everything and have the greatest attitude of all. The hotel has great worker, and a good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family
I stayed here for two weeks and I felt very happy with the reception service there. Especially with Pablo and Karyna. Both of them are amazing! Good job guys because you helped me a lot! 100% recommended ??
I booked this hotel because it had a cheap rate on Expedia and advertised a free shuttle to and from the Miami Airport and also to Dolphin and International Malls. I was not quite sure what to expect because there the hotel had some mixed reviews. However I had absolutely no problems. I had a room on the 3rd floor which was clean and comfortable The shuttle picked me up from the airport in half an hour and I took the free shuttle to and from Dolphin Mall each day I was there. The free breakfast was just OK. However if you are looking for a good budget hotel with free transportation this is definitely a good place to stay. Note - the shuttle is small with only 12 seats and is shared with the next door Baymont Hotel. So it is a good idea to assemble for it early to make sure you get on. It goes to the Malls at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and then pick up is at 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
I stayed at the BWP Doral/ Dolphin in May, it was my second time staying at the hotel. The staff is professional and friend;the rooms are clean; the breakfast was delicious ( tip try to get there before 8 as it can get pretty crowded); the free shuttle to and from the malls were great, there is even a shuttle to and from the airport (tip: the shuttle runs every two hours after 12pm and it's not worth waiting 60 mins to 90 mins depend on when your clear immigration, take an Uber it's less than 20 bucks). The shuttle doesn't go to Walmart, how every by Uber the super center is 8 bucks away. Overall you will not be disappointed with your stay.
I don't think these employees know exactly what "truck parking" is. It is not BOB AND WEAVE around parked cars and curbs, barely missing trees, trying to cut a corner. TRUCK PARKING is being able to pull in or back in SAFELY with straight in/out easy access, without obstructing any other parking spaces, entrances, or traffic! Of course, they say they have it, but they do not. I pulled in, and lost about an hour of rest trying to maneuver around parked cars, mucho traffic coming in and out and almost getting stuck in the rear of their building. Besides that, the place is very nice, numerous restaurants all over within walking distance, good atmosphere, spacious rooms, nice decorating. So, besides the crushing parking, and really not any space for trucks, they even have a sign that says NO SEMIS ... how can you have truck parking if you have a sign not allowing them in??????? Besides that, overall, well worth the stay.
I have to say cudos to all the staff that were so nice and kind. We were supposed to be there by 3pm, but because of a flight delay, we didn't get to the hotel until 11 pm. The staff still made us feel welcome, important. They were so understanding. Plus they have free breakfast, and shuttle to and from Miami international Airport. We will be back again there in July for a conference. This place for my husband and I is home away from home with an icing on top of the cake because we don't have to cook or buy breakfast. Unfortunately, we have no pictures to show. However, next time we will take pictures. Since, it was our first time there, we were more busy exploring then taking pictures. There is a big mall with all the shops and restaurants just walking distance from the hotel. That was a real treat.
So they call themselves a green hotel because they don't collect towels and sheets to rewash HOWEVER all room cups are plastic or styrofoam. The breakfast "buffet" is also only plastic or styrofoam, and their shuttle bus runs on a near continuous loop due to inefficiency. And to add insult to injury, there is nowhere on site to recycle. Plus the gym is the size of a well mirrored closet. Plusses? It is very close to a ton of decent restaurants and stores, if that is your thing. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and close to freeways/highways to get to the rest of Miami. But vote green with your dollars and tell them to actually BE green.
Exterior and lobby was very nice. The room could use some serious upgrades. It was clean, but outdated in comparison to the lobby. Once in the room, the bedding and paint was not as pleasant as I would expect in a beautifully decorated and updated exterior and lobby. The staff was very friendly and helpful, prompt and professional. We were even given recommendations of restaurants in the area. The breakfast was good. I had one of the best cinnamon rolls ever. The breakfast staff was graceful enough to allow us to have breakfast after coming down late as we were checking out.
Nothing spectacular - rooms are basic and need to be upgraded but good customer service and the malls were within 15 minutes of the hotel which worked well for me. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful.
Staying on the fourth floor, the smell of mould and damp was unbearable. The management kindly moved me to another room after the first night, but by the second day this new room also smelled of mould, with a combination of bleach. Quite overpowering. Even air freshener could not hide the smell. The rooms also felt quite damp, such that paper left on a table in the room lost its crispness. The shuttle service is convenient and relatively punctual. Access to the local convenience store is OK, though, if you are accustomed to walking to such locales, please note there is a severe lack of footpaths and those that do exist are not interconnected, leaving you to walk on the road. Quite unusual. I would not stay there in the future as I would not be confident the mouldy smell would be eradicated.
When we arrived at the airport,we called the hotel and they sent us a shuttle-bus to take us there as a compliment. The breakfast was amazing with a variety of meals. The room was wide and clean. The trip with the shuttle-bus to Dolphin Mall was amazing. If you are going on a cruise, we highly recommend Uber!If you have an option to choose a room,we recommend you to get one from the front part of the hotel, because on the back side there is a business building and it is quite noisy.
Don't stay on the 2nd floor,I literally could not breath due to damp smell.Make sure to check underneath of sofa-cum-bed as its filthy!A couple of front desk staff are not friendly. An average breakfast but you get a nice feeling in the lobby.Location of the property is good.
Best we have stayed in a while. Our experience was the best we have ever had. The quality and staff were amazing. The room and cleanliness was superb beyond any we have ever had. The free breakfast offered a wide selection of choices.
Excellent hotel for my recent Miami shopping trip! I love the shuttle service to and from the airport and the regularly scheduled Dolphin Mall. I returned each night to hot coffee in the lobby and a very clean room and comfortable bed. I have used this hotel several times and it never disappoints!
Great place for a great price, great location, will definitely return..... requiring 200 characters for a review is absolutely ridiculous and a big turn off for those taking time to respond to surveys.
Romana was the best staff i encountered at any hotel I've ever gone too was amazing friendly person, if it wasn't for her i would of never known about all the good things in breakfast you guys had & i almost left without my 50$ deposit she caught me right when i was leaving definitely completed my trip & made me feel right at home will be coming right back ASAP!
Traveled down to Miami to visit friends and family. We had a great stay. At check-in their computer systems were down but even though they had those issues check-in was quick and easy. The room was really nice. The bed was a little harder then what I'm use to but I still slept soundly. Breakfast was great!! We had a wonderful stay. We will definitely be coming back here on the next visit.
Excellent localization and amenities, friendly staff, amazing breakfast including fruits and natural juices, spacious room, wifi and parking free. Variety of restaurants around the hotel, close of the mall. Definitely recommend!!!
Great hotel, a little slow but helpful, The room was small for the family but was very clean , Beds was soft, They have a great breakfast, Free parking, Free internet, good value for the price. Close to Dolphin Mall And International Mall. Will stay there again.
During my stay I did not encounter any problems. Hotel Staff friendly, Shuttle run on times specified. Breakfast was good, variety to choose from. WIFI great. My only issue was the carpet in the room which maybe should be shampoo or replaced.
I really enjoyed staying Best Western. It was comfortable, the workers were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Loved the decor. I also liked the fact that the hotel provided a shuttle to the mall and also to the airport. The shuttle was always ontime and the drivers were always helpful.
Wife and family loved it. They have a complimentary breakfast that will save you $$$, especially if you are feeding a family of four. Convenient location to the airport (20 minutes) in a nice location. The place is new and clean and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
We stayed for a couple of nights prior to our cruise and had a wonderful experience. We were greeted by Stephanie & Pablo promptly and they were super friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Close to restaurants and convenience store (walking distance). Very nice breakfast included. Newer property, great value! Easy access to Miami by Uber/Lyft. Definitely recommend!
In regards to the above title, this hotel is definitely not as advertised, it is in poor condition on the inside, the exterior looks are deceiving. This is definitely not a new hotel. The first room we were given did not have curtains, just a pull down blind and not one picture on the wall. It was devoid of any decor. The second room, was not a lot better, but did have curtains with a blackout blind and a few pictures on the wall, the carpet was badly stained in several areas. The bathroom had a door stop drilled into the tile in front of the tub, where one could have easily stepped on it exiting the shower. The bedding was clean and we do believe the cleaning staff did a good job considering what they had to work with. The pool area, while clean on the interlock surrounding the pool had cigarette butts and beer caps strewn in the grass. The pool chairs were in decent shape. All of this, while not acceptable, we could have tried to overlook, for a short stay of two nights. What is most disturbing, is the lack of security at this hotel. The pool gate to the parking lot was left open, not locked. The door to the hotel from the pool did have a lock which required a room key but was apparently broke as no key was needed, therefore making security from the pool area non existent. On our second night we received a knock on the door from a stranger, when I questioned him without opening the door, he left. A short time later, the front desk called asking if we had a third person in the room. The phone actually rang twice, the first time there was no one on the line. When we stressed that there was no one else other than us, they said they were looking after the situation. After several minutes and some thought we called back for more information and were told the situation had been taken care of, that the police had been called and all was good. No further details were given. In addition, the windows in this hotel open FULLY, in more than 40 years of travel I have never seen this, in this case it was to our benefit that we were on the 3rd floor. We as a senior couple did not sleep that night. We felt very vulnerable to the point of barricading our door with our luggage and chairs. We expressed our concerns again the next morning and no further information was given, that all was good. We feel we were not taken seriously. Had the hotel shared the full story with us, it would have been much easier to sleep that night. Pablo, at the front desk in the morning did his best to settle our nerves, without giving us any further information, but his effort was appreciated. Upon taking our concerns to the hotel and to Best Western customer service, we have been told that at no time did they see anyone at our door. We find this contradicting, as the front desk called to INQUIRE about a possible intruder at our door. The manager has responded with the same blurb that he puts on trip advisor when there is a complaint regarding his hotel. He did not address the specific concerns of safety. He would not return my calls. Best Western customer service called the hotel directly to no avail. I really feel that this hotel does not live up to its guarantee of a comfortable stay. Again, we really feel we should have been reimbursed for the last night of our stay as requested in our original correspondence. Best western customer service apparently has no sway on this situation which is disturbing to say the least. We have delayed putting this review on trip advisor as we had hoped this could be reconciled in a professional manner.
We booked this hotel for 2 nights as a transit stop after we landed at Miami on route to Miami port to join a cruise ship. The hotel ticked most of our boxes, our room was spacious and adequate with everything we needed, breakfast was basic but nice, tea and coffee available all day and there is a nice pool area. There is no bar but there are a few nice places to eat and drink nearby and the owners advised us we could buy drinks from the local garage and drink them around the pool if we wished, we found a nice Italian restaurant Divieto less than 5 minutes walk away which was excellent.
We were on our way to Miami for a cruise and had driven 12 hrs that day and 12hrs the previous day and were so tired when we arrived and they made it fast and friendly so we could get some much needed rest for our cruise the next day
It was for a one-night stop for weary travelers. We found a spacious room that fitted us 5 comfortably. The room was spotless. The bathroom had all the necessities and was comfortable. There was a bowl of fresh fruit waiting for us. We slept soundly as the room was very, very quiet despite the hotel having a busy night and full to capacity. Breakfast in the morning was simple but satisfying. The front desk personnel and the service people bent over backwards to satisfy our requests. Particular mentions goes to Pablo and Karyna in the front desk for their attentiveness and willingness to give best service.
Stayed at the hotel for two nights. Our son had a medical school interview at FIU. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes from the campus and 15 from the Dolphin Mall. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the free breakfast. Will definitely be back!
We booked this hotel for an overnight stay before a morning flight from Miami International Airport. It also appeared to be convenient for any last minute shopping at Dolphin Mall. It turned out to be a little further away from the Mall than I thought, but as we had a rental car that wasn't a problem. On check-in we were upgraded to a "suite". The room was spacious and clean and we found the bed very comfortable. The room was quiet. On check-in we were handed a "one appetiser free" voucher for a nearby restaurant (a few minutes away on foot). Having had a quick look around the area we opted to eat at the Caffe Toraldo instead - informal, reasonably priced and what turned out to be an excellent meal. In the morning the breakfast was fine, but I didn't like the cheap plastic cutlery that was provided to eat it with. When we checked out it was just a matter of turning right onto NW 41st street and following it along to the car rental return.
Nice budget friendly hotel, nice breakfast served and very central to go to the dolphin mall, we stayed here for the memorial weekend and everything was top, nice staff. what was outstanding was the bed very comfortable. we recommend to friends and family for sure.
comfortable room and bed. some wear and tear on furniture , but nothing serious. Staff very good . Pretty decent breakfast which changed somewhat one day to the next. Also used that area in the evening for some delivered food and wine and visiting with friends and staff was very accommodating. Had a late night flight on arrival , shuttle wasn't running , so ended up with a 30 dollar + taxi ride. Should have Uberred. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again, but would also consider other places
This hotel was selected because of its proximity to clients. The hotel is surrounded by a number of other hotels. restaurants and service stations. It is approximately 1/2 hour from Miami International Airport. There is ample parking and the exterior is very well kept. The front desk staff, with one exception, were quire helpful and friendly. The room was large, well appointed and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. It had ample power outlets There were a few issues. Internet was very poor one of the three nights I stayed there. It has only a single elevator, so wait times could be quite long. The breakfast room was too small in relation to the number of guests, and they provided overflow seating that I was not aware of until the last day. For some reason, the temperature for the room was set by housekeeping in both my room and my associates at 61 degrees after they cleaned the rooms. I do not know why they would set it that low. Overall, I would stay here again, but there are a number of what appear to be good business hotels in the immediate vicinity of this hotel to choose from.
We booked this hotel on the basis of the advertised free airport shuttle and a reasonable cost compared to other hotels nearer the airport. Even checked by e mail times of shuttles and was told that in the evening they were hourly. We phoned after a long transatlantic flight and called at about 8.15 pm. We were told we would have to wait until 10 pm since the shuttle would be going off to the shopping mall at 9 pm instead of the airport. Hardly going to wait for that after about 20 hours travelling so ended up getting Uber for about $20. Nobody at hotel seemed very concerned since presumably it happens all the time despite it also being advertised on the WiFi code card they give you. Hotel and breakfast not bad overall but few would stay there unless it is advertised as an airport hotel with a shuttle. Probably better to spend a bit more and stay nearer the airport since the BW is not exactly cheap.
The burners on the stove would not warm up very quickly. In fact I doubted whether they would warm up at all. Dinner took an hour to warm up. The freezer/refrigerator would not stay in place and was pulled forward with each opening of the door. The freezer portion of the refrigerator was super small. It did not hold all that we brought and some of our groceries melted. The bottom shelf of the refrigerator was broken. The toilet barely flushed. The room was dark and cramped. The bed was worn out and I kept hearing sounds all night. The room provided a truly exasperating experience.
The room was large, the bathroom was small. Bed was comfortable, and service was nice enough. Nothing stellar about the place, but no complaints, either. It was neither new nor old. The room was clean. The elevator went down one morning, but it was working by the afternoon.
Everything was perfect. The staff was great. The service was excellent. The room was extremely nice. The hotel was well kept. Will come back here next trip. By far one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
This is a good option to stay near the airport and some other interest places. The service is fine and the room is confortable an clean. The breakfast is timely served but starts at 7:00 am so if you want to take the first shuttle to the airport yo will not have breakfast
I stayed here for one night. It's a good place to stay if you have a flight the next day but if you want to stay longer and enjoy the South Beach or downtown area I really recommend staying nearer the tourist attractions as the traffic in Miami is absolutely terrible! I had a King Suite and the room was extremely large - almost comically so. It was probably the size of my apartment at home, so if you like spacious rooms, this is the place to stay! When I opened the door to the bathroom I was very surprised to see a Dole fruit cup on the floor! There was also a bit of trash still in the garbage bin. I have never ever found previous guests' garbage in a hotel room before, so the cleaning staff here need to be more thorough and check the room carefully for any leftover trash. I really enjoyed the breakfast. The eggs and bacon were delicious and perfectly cooked and there were plenty of pastries to choose from. The waffle machine was a big hit with guests! The juices were good too.
This hotel is lovely. It is clean and convenient and the staff are incredible. The staff are the best asset! Well done Team. We've been staying here for years. Years of great leadership from the GM Manager Luis Ballon.
The hotel is in a decent location. Breakfast was ok. Staff was very polite. Rooms are old and smell of smoke. The AC is too close to the bed to be comfortable for use. The hallway smelled of marijuana.
I slipped and fell in the bathtub. There is no grab bar and the bottom of the tub is slippery. Fortunately I was not hurt. Since I was very concerned about myself and others after me, I went to the front desk. There was total lack of response. All I got was a blank look. Since I was visiting family for Christmas, I chose not to take time to go further. They have a problem at this hotel, and I recommend never staying there. Maintenance is also lacking. The faucet was hard to turn at the sink and the entry door also was hard to open at times. Generally the decor is drab and out of date.
Great neighborhood, complimentary breakfast and airport shuttle and shuttle to dolphin mall. good business center in the lobby, which is convenient and free of charge. Great for family vacation. every one is friendly and know what they expected to know.
No complaints at this property. Staff was wonderful and the room meet, or exceeded, my expectations. I had a King Suite and the room was large with a comfortable sofa and a nice working desk with comfortable chair. Breakfast had many choices including different entrees each day. Will definitely stay at this property again.
Hotel is super clean, polite staff, easy access and helpful services within the area (restaurants, nail spa, gym) in a walking distance range. Advice: if you intend to have deliveries droped at the hotel, please make sure to validate that with front desk.
We stayed here for 1 night before a cruise and had a great experience! The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, parking was easy, and breakfast was good. We'd stay here again. Only complaint is I wish there were more sweet foods for breakfast. Thanks for a great stay!!
Very enjoyable, great breakfast, very professional staff. Hotel is very easy to find and we had a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend this to my friends and family. Appears to be in a very safe area with apparent security. It would be even better if it were pet friendly.
Hotel is ok, rooms spacious and clean, staff friendly. Pool looks nice although we didn't use it. Location good for shopping mall but not much else. However, breakfast is a buffet served with plastic plates and cutlery. All the waste, including food and plastics, just goes in to rubbish bags with no sorting or apparent recycling! I emailed to ask for their recycling policy and after 2 weeks and then chasing them they responded that someone called me to explain? but as they didn't have a phone number for me that was quite an achievement! Customer Service response is efficient but with no attention to what I've actually asked or said. Won't use them again unless they get green credentials.
Hotel is on Dolphin Mall convenient for airport. Stayed 1 night. Room was fine, comfortable bed. Breakfast was buffet style but only disposable plates and plastic cutlery with a waste bin. No service at all.We have never experienced this before and do not wish to again. There was no bar or cafe/restaurant and it certainly wasn't cheap!
We recently stayed at the BW Plus Miami-Doral because we had a Miami airport flight the next day after finishing a Carnival cruise. We realized it was pretty far from the airport but were pleasantly surprised with the hotel! The hotel was nice & clean but it was the staff that really impressed us! They were wonderful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a shuttle to the airport AND a shuttle to the nearby outlet mall. The breakfast in the morning was great! They included little extras like apple, strawberry & blueberry toppings with whip cream for the waffles. They also had cream cheese & peanut butter for toast. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you're in the Miami/Dorsal area!
Check in very quick. Room excellent, included a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Bathroom had shampoo and body wash supplied. Courtesy mini bus to Airport and Dolphin Mall. Good breakfast provided, tea and coffee supplied all day. Lovely small pool area, but no towels supplied. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area, and best places to go. Miami Connections assist the hotel with a taxi service. Jose and his wife are excellent and very reliable to use for all travel requirements. Would definitely stay here again when in Miami.
was traveling on a busy weekend just before holiday & found this hotel to be Affordable, with a good breakfast, and nice staff. the rooms were everything expected and clean. I would stay here again as the location is good
Stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend and the staff was very friendly. When I arrived I got a free upgrade. The breakfast was good and the rooms were clean. The airport and mall shuttles were very convenient.
Friendly helpful staff clean hotel very comfortable bed internet great bus to and from airport and the malls which was great for us as we where there for some Black Friday shopping would definitely stay again.
Had good stay here. Enjoy the free breakfast it has many good options and you get to make your own waffle. The only problem I had is when you turn on the bathroom light the vent system make really loud noise other wise the room was clean and very comfortable bed and pillows. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Should cater more for people who are vegetarian.I don't really eat much meat, should have more fruits to choose from.Would appreciate more labeling on the food choices.I usually get up early,I think breakfast should start at 6:30 instead of 7:00am.The gym is to small, equipment is old and outdated.Computer room needs working computers, please.
This hotel shuttle service definitely needs vast improvement. Also my advice and recommendation for transport if you do not have a rented car, is to use UBER taxi service as they are very reasonable and extremely punctual. The regular taxis are way to expensive.
Arrived here first two nights off flight from Ireland with hire car. Found it easy in torrential tropical downpour. Manny checked us in. Room was clean spacious and a comfy bed. Good air con and wifi. Breakfast was a bit limited but something for most tastes. Efficient and friendly staff at breakfast buffet and reception.
Everything great, certainly would be back. Very good breakfast and localization, staff. The rooms were good too, very spacious. It's close to good restaurants, supermarkets and shopping centers. Safe place to park, safe place to walk around.
The Bedrooms use european standard instead of american standard as usual in BestWestern Hotels. For two adults and two childreen it's quite small, if not the Hotel is very quite and the breakfast has every thing you need
Clean friendly hotel that was good value for money. Close to airport and Dolphin shopping mall. As a permanent wheelchair user I had absolutely no issues at this hotel. Friendly and professional staff.
Arrived at the hotel after flying into Fort Lauderdale, and chose it due to the location on the western edge of Miami, in readiness for a road trip. Friendly staff, comfortable room and a reasonably good sleep considering our lengthy journey. Pillows were a little bit lumpy for our liking but otherwise good. The complimentary breakfast was very good - tasty, hot and plentiful and set us up for the days events.
4 of our Family members stayed over night in this Hotel back in 2011. We are so excited to be coming back. We have already book our reservation & we spoke with Manny & Vivian on 2 different occasions. They were very helpful & kind. Our visit was fantastic in the past & we look forward to our stay in 2018. We are from Southern California & we felt so welcomed last time. The location was great & the Hotel was clean & comfy. Thank you again. Blessings to all & see you in 2018.
It was great for a one night stay. It is not Ploves to the airport as Expedia says. But they do have a shuttle to the airport in the morning every two hours. And a shuttle to the airport every one hour in the afternoon and evening hours. Great breakfast in the morning that starts at seven. In walking distance to many restaurants.
My husband & I stayed here for one night pre cruise in a standard room with 1 king bed. It was a very nice room, quiet and easy accessible to various restaurants near by. Prior to our trip to Miami, I searched on TA for hotels a little ways out from the airport so it would be quiet but still quick to get to the cruise port. We enjoyed the complimentary full breakfast the next morning prior to checkout. The front desk was very helpful with giving us a wake-up-call and making arrangements for a shuttle to take us to the cruise port the next day.
really nice hotel, nice safe area, not much to do in Doral but a nice break from Orlando. Nice idea of free transport to Dolphin mall and International mall { my favourite }, breakfast was lovely, lots of choice, hot n cold drinks, cereals, yogs, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, pastries, waffles, bagels, rather busy at 9 am, never enough room in lobby but when the adjoining room was open there is more room, you need a second toaster, the queue for toast was crazy, really nice staff working in hotel, very friendly and pleasant, didnt know there was a trips brochure until near the end of our holiday, for the sake of future customers please make this folder available for us to read at our leisure in the reception area, nice cookies in the afternoon too, also lush coffee available all day, good restaurants around, especially AMAZING arepas right opp hotel, lush food.
We rented the business room for a family reunion, the service was awful, very expensive for just a room (no service at all) we had to clean the room and at the end they charged us extra for the "cleaning" the carpet was dirty and smell bad from the beginning, PLEASE NEVER USE THIS HOTEL!!!
I was in Miami for 3 days and my preferred hotel was booked up. I decided to try Best Western because of the advertised shuttle service from airport and to both Dolphin and Miami International Airport. The shuttle service is poor and could be better organised. I waited at the airport for 1hr 45mins before I was picked up. I found out afterwards the shuttle runs to the airport every 2 hrs and from 4pm to 10pm every 1 hr. It does not matter what time is your flight u need to work with that schedule. I used uber when I checked out. The mall shuttles run at 9:30am, 11:30am, 3:30pm and pick up at 9pm. I was dropped off at the hotel from the airport at approx 3:20pm. I confirmed with both front desk and shuttle driver that the 3:30pm drop off to the mall was still on schedule and I was going to drop my bags to my room and return to catch the shuttle. However the shuttle still left me and I was told it was the last for the day and no he would not be able to drop me when he returned although the mall is 5-10mins away. After much back and forth with front desk, I asked for a manager and only then the hotel agreed to pay for a private taxi for me. I asked if there was a fixed schedule for both malls (eg. Which mall is drop off or picked up at first) and I was told it depends on whatever the driver decides so if u want to do both malls during the same day it is difficult to plan. Please note that it is a shared shuttle with the Baymont Inn hotel next door. One night the driver picked us up at Dolphin Mall and the shuttle barely had room for 1 more. We then went to Miami International to pick up and luckily there was nobody waiting. I am not sure where any other guests would have fit anyway. After 1 day of the shuttle I decided it was not worth it and used uber for the rest of my stay. I was given a room on 4th floor. The carpet in the corridor upon exiting the elevator had a damp, musky unpleasant smell. Thankfully the scent was not in the room but the carpet was very dirty. The room was poorly lit esp in the sitting area which made packing up my suitcase a bit challenging. There is no room safe to store valuables. The bathroom is small and the door opens against the shower/tub. You need to get into the bathroom and close the door to be able to get into the shower. Please note there is a metal door stopper on the floor in front the tub. I stepped on it painfully more than once. The bed was comfortable and there was a mini fridge and microwave available which was a plus. Towels were on the small side and extremely rough. There are signs posted that the hotel is currently under renovations so I hope it gets updated soon. Overall I would not stay here again.
Good location, good breakfast, very nice staff Well equipped room (fridge and microwave) Rooms with carpet smell moldy, shower with little water leak and terrible internet in the rooms To be excellent they should change the carpets on the floors and bedroom, and greatly improve the signal from the internet in the rooms
very nice hotel, breakfast is fabulous, the room is clean, the bed is confortable, the people that work is nice and help you, this hotel is near a MALL for shopping and near the International Airport; a lot of restaurants around this hotel; The internet in the room is perfect and easy to connect.
I have my family and friends stay here, when they visit from Trinidad Great central location, proximity from Miami airport and local shopping...dolphin mall, international mall, and attractions Hotel staff are wonderful and helpful Lots of local restaurants close by...walking distance
Came across this hotel when I wasn't getting through my regular hotel. But it was an extrememy pleasant surprise!! Neat and clean ambience greeted us, the rooms are all very well fixed. The hotel is like 5 mins to dolphin and international mall and the shuttle service from the hotel to airport and the malls makes it super convenient ! The hot breakfast included is amazing ! The highlight of the hotel though is the amazing and friendly staff, stayed there twice was thoroughly impressed. They are willing to share information, greet you politely always and always around to help ! Will be staying there all on from now !
My decision to stay here was due to shuttle service offered, and I can say the shuttle from airport was on time .from and to dolphin was on time Staff was always pleasant ,and accommodating Pablo the front desk guy was so helpful. I travelled with my teenage daughter and adult son.And they both love the whole experience. And that a plus. So we definitely will return. I have also recommended this to my extended family and friends as the prefer stay. usually when we travelled my daughter observed we are usually tired after our return home.however she stated because we were transport in air condition comfort to and Fro.that was a blessing Best western I thank you
As a Platinum rewards member, I was very disappointed with this hotel. Appreciated the welcome gift nonetheless. I previously stayed at two best western hotels and they were absolutely lovely. The exterior and lobby looks modern; however the elevator is old and slow, the carpet on the 4th floor and in the room smelled old and mouldy. the room was not very inviting. Room cards worked for one day and had to get them replaced the second night. the breakfast seemed so mediocre but hey it was included in the price. location of the hotel is great, close to malls, pharmacy, fast food, TD Bank. i normally take pics of the hotels and rooma but this one was so disappointing i didnt even bother snapping pics. I would not stay here again when i go to Miami.
The stay was satisfactory. The staff was very friendly and polite. They showed positive interest to you as the guest. However I did not like the scent that we experienced on the third floor. It smelled very musky and moldy, this needs to be fixed. Overall we were satisfy with the service. I can see myself staying there again.
if you're planning to go to Miami to make some shopping and some city seeing, this hotel is a perfect place... the parking is free, it's well located (near two malls and other interesting shopping sites- Dolphin mall and international mall)... arriving to any place in miami from here takes max 20-30 minutos in rush hours.
Can't wait to go back. Easy check in, fast. My 10 mo th old son was exhausted and HOT from the 14 hour car ride and broke out with a fever and just wanted to get him in the room, changed and medicine so he could sleep!
This trip was absolutely amazing first the shuttle service was prompt. The breakfast was really tasty. The rooms were amazingly clean on a daily basis. The staff was very helpful and nice. Our overall trip was peaceful and relaxing
The hotel is very near the dolphin mall, international mall, has a walmart very close and lots of eating options. Rooms are clean and very spacious! Service is very nice. However, From the breakfast I expected a bit more. Limited amount of fruit and/or healthy options. The dinning space is a bit small so in the mornings when is rush hour is tough to find a table. The 24/7 coffee and tea service is amazing.
I enjoyed my stay at Best Western Plus. Pablo at reception was always warm and friendly along with the other staff members but Pablo stood out. The breakfast was really good! The rooms are outdated and do require better lightning but my overall experience was great. Good Value for money!
Stayed on way to the Keys. Reasonable priced hotel. Seems to accomodate travelers to airport Staff Friendly Great breakfast Room comfortable. Traditional for Best West. Not sure what made it a Plus. Would recommend for convenience.
Check-in was quick and easy, room was nice, spacious, clean. Just one night stay but would return. They have a strict package policy which i learnt of late (i figured all Best West's had the same policy) which caused a bit of inconvenience. Breakfast was great, waffles with topping and whipcream/ chocolate syrup, with BW engarved in the waffle :), yogurts, juices, fruit. egges, sausages, bagels, bread, etc. Very nice comfortable stay. Friendly team, warm and accommodating team as if they were happy to see us :). Front Office Manage Yenely was great.
The front desk check in staff is amazing and professional specially Pablo! He goes above and beyond to really make you feel welcome, he ask you right away if you would like a bottle of water or if you are happy with your room and enjoying your stay. He welcome's you as soon as you arrive the hotel and even when you are already checked in he greats you with a smile. My wife and I travel a lot and we have never meet a person like him that truly loves what he does and is very professional. He is a very classy young man. We see him owning his own hotel one day. As I sit in the front lobby lounge writing this review hearing the front desk staff checking out guess they are so polite and kind, saying to guess as they check out thank you for staying with us and have a wonderful day. Well I see the staff is super amazing. VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS HOTEL AND SPECIALLY THE LEVEL OF SERVICE!
We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We had no problem with the orders received. I would like to pay special compliments to the employees Pablo, Maritza and Maya and the other collaborators. The hotel was undergoing minor renovations such as painting the premises, but it did not disturb at all the days we spent there. I saw that the hotel cares enough about the well-being of the guests, always looking for the best way to provide comfort and security. Highly recommend.
We wanted accomodation close to Airport but in a quiet area and this hotel fits the bill... Staff at booking in and generally thru our stay were polite and courteous overtime we met them... We don't speak Spanish so conversation was limited with some staff, but that is not a fault on their part by any means... The room was quiet and huge... We had a king size room that was well equipped with a large comfortable bed and pillows, as it also had coffee making and a fridge which is ideal for travellers... It also had free parking outside the hotel which was convenient as we were driving... Breakfast was quite good overall with fruit, yoghurt, bagels and fresh made waffles as well as several hot dishes daily... It also had a pool for guests altho we never stayed long enough to use it.. While we did not use it , they also had a shuttle service from the Airport to hotel return... Overall, it was a good place to stay and close to the Miami International Airport. We recommend it as a place to stay as it was a clean quiet hotel that met our needs and would stay again.
Enjoy stay, staff was friendly and courteous.Breakfast. Several amenities available like free-wifi, laundry services.Shuttle services ends at 10pm and this should be extended to a later time. Good for weekend trip for business or pleasure located near International and Dolphin mall with free shuttle.
If you are looking for a hotel to stay close to Dolphin and international Mall , you get value for Money at Best western . Can go to the airport easily. Staff is courteous and willing to help . Hotel has an average breakfast
Excellent stay! I Loved the location and how close everything was together. I would definitely stay here again, I loved my stay and I thank the whole staff for making sure it was a success. Can't wait to go back again.
It was good and I am sure that you will not regret it, near the hotel has one good supermarket and some blocks away Wal-Mart and Publix, also there is a KFC and Taco Bell near, banks, college, gas station, CVS and shuttle direct to Dolphin Mall, everything you need.
We had such a wonderful time at this hotel and cannot wait to be back!! The front desk is very helpful and the breakfast is great, conveniently located close to the malls. I will recommend this hotel to all my friend and family.
Great hotel with a wonderful staff that will assist you in any way they can assist. Located within walking distance to various types of restaurants, including Polla Tropical which I highly recommend if you've never been to it.
Our stay was very pleasant. Very nice and kind employees. They were very humble, helpful and gave us information on our answers. Breakfast was also really good, there was a variety of breakfast items, so you could choose for yourself what you want and didn't want. There was also coffee and warm water available during the whole day, which was a very good thing. Shuttle to the dolphin mall and Miami International mall was also available, which was very good organized.
Stayed in this hotel for my niece's wedding in Doral City. Nice Hotel. Pretty helpful staff. Closed to everything. Nice restaurants and very good driving ways to everywhere in the Miami area. We specially recommend "Patagonia Hahuen", argentinian eaterie: nice food at very affordable price.
This hotel is a nice Best Western Plus. The staff are very nice. The room was very neat and clean. The entire hotel is a nice place. Nothing fancy, but nice. The breakfast was decent and enjoyable. The only issue I have with ALL Best Western Hotels is the water pressure in the showers. It is way too low and annoying when taking a shower. No one wants a drizzle of rain in the shower. Most people like a heavy flow of water they can adjust so they can rinse off quickly and easily. The water pressure is the only really bad thing about the Best Western hotels.
We were very pleased with the service and friendliness of the staff at this hotel. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend it and will definitely stay here in the future.
The room was nice and clean. Comfortable for family of 4. The staff is approachable, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was hot and the staff kept the breakfast area clean and food was plentiful at all times during breakfast. It's nice to find a great hotel with free parking in Miami!
Nice hotel for a reasonable price. We stayed here for a couple of nights to explore the Everglades and have a trip to the Dolphin mall. It's located in an industrial zone so nothing to see in the close neighborhood and you need a car for basically everything. Breakfast is very basic, not much fresh food, everything pre packed and plastic cutlery. Nice swimming pool. Rooms are comfortable with everything you need. Service was good. Would stay here again for the same kind of trip.
Great hotel. You can always count on best western. This is in an upscale area near great restaurants etc. Business hotel with breakfast included. Eggs sausage etc. Pancakes the works. Service great. Clean. They're always consistent.
the hotel was great near everything i needed and the staff was great when i needed directions the help out with them the food was good a very good verity and was hot. Thre room was clean and made every day
This is our "go-to" spot whenever we come to visit family in Miami. Bed is really comfortable and breafast included is very generous. Staff are so sweet and accomodating. Great location too, close to the mall, grocery, dining, airport, highways etc... Best Western Plus Doral is one of my all time favorite hotels!!
It was a very pleasant stay, the hotel staff was always hamable and willing to help. The facilities are quite comfortable and the internet service good. The area where it is quite adequate and the shopping areas quite close by car.
Very good experience and location breakfast fabulous excellent staff and friendly, quiet room to sleep everybody was sheer full, all of them when the extra mile for us, Pablo at 2am was so pleasant, we had a very early check out
Satisfied with the hotel and the service. Good room for family. Excellent shuttle service to Dolphin Mall and to the airport. Good breakfast. Near to Dolphin Mall. Restaurants, bars, drugstore near the hotel.
I have stayed at other hotels before in Miami for both business and vacation but by far this trip was one of the most enjoyable experience both my mom and I have had!!! (When your mom raves about the standard and service of a place then you know its the best!) The setting and colour scheme makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. The ambiance is not only created in decor but by the natural warm, friendly and helpful attitude of the staff. It was beyond just being cordial as you felt a sense of genuity in their smile and approach to their duties and comfort of their guests.
Good place to stay and hand to everything we needed. Shuttle to the malls and airport. Filling breakfast all included in the price. Staff very helpful and friendly. 24 hour desk and coffee. Worth the visit.
The staff was great! The hotel very clean, very easy to find, I would definitely recommend the best western plus. It is definitely an up grade, from the old best western hotels that I remember.Keep up the great work.
My wife and I spent five days at the BW Plus Dora. The room was large and clean ( king bed with pullout couch), staff was super helpful especially José the shuttle driver. I had packages delivered to the hotel before I arrived without any issues or added cost. The free breakfast was more than sufficient, and there was always more than enough. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport just call from the airport and tell them where you are, I had a 45 min wait, as the hotel is about 30 mins from the airport. The shuttle goes to Dolphin and International Mall at 9:30am, 11:30am, 3:30pm and final pick at 9pm.
We were here for 5 days and we really, really loved it! We were able to do our laundry, there were wonderful places nearby and it had a great breakfast and wonderful service staff! We couldn't say anything bad about our visit and if we ever come back to Miami, we will stay there! Awesome! Thank you to every single staff member!!!
Everything was really good, the parking, wifi connection, breakfast, staff attentions, etc... I really recommend this hotel for any type of activity you can have, since family, business meetings or just to relax yourself.
The airport shuttle, Mall shuttle and included breakfast makes this a great choice. There are restaurants within walking distance and it's a quiet location. Staff is friendly and helpful, clean comfortable rooms.
Good hotel in a great location. Rooms are good size, staff provided excellent service and were very courteous. Also, a good breakfast was available with plenty of seating. . Easy access to Malls. Several dining options close by as well as a supermarket.
Excellent location to malls and the shippers I needed to use very clean and good food just around the corner. Price for my stay was extremely good and was able to go out walking close by to some smaller places quite safely.
Far from downtown for for value was great and use Uber. Best breakfast , very nice front desk . Free shuttle to Dolphin Mall. Overall nice hotel . Had shuttle to pier with Jose , that was enjoyable, not free but good value . Gets u there on time knows all the
Had a very nice stay friendly and helpful staff if ever in miami again will stay at this hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean. Overall I enjoyed my time it's nice to find a hotel with free parking in a nice part of miami.
Convienient hotel with nice pool area, good internet connection and healthy chioces at breakfast. The hotel has also a good location in the Dolphin area, with easy access to the airport as weell as the big shopping malls in Dolphin.
Not sure what the purpose of the plus is. It's basically a Comfort Inn with the same old beds and bed spreads. First room I was given smelled like an ashtray and I had to switch rooms. New room was good until someone checked in above me and started smoking. My nose was stuffed up the entire week.
Everything is good, room, breakfast, cleaner room, atenction staff and security local. I stay there with my family we liked and propability will come back soon. The price is good with breakfast and parking. We recommend.
We stayed for threee nights at this hotel after a cruise and we're quite happy with Best Western Plus Doral! Very friendly staff and very helpful. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again.
Was my second time in this hotel. Both times were very nice. The localization is very good. Many good restaurants and shoppings, near from the hotel. The breakfast is good. The TV do not have many channel options.
We like the hotel. Check in and check out was easy, the room consisted of 1 King size bed, bath tub and shower. Room came with a microwave, fridge, coffee machine and sink. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights as we were staying for Ultra Music Festival and we wanted something cheap. Simple hotel, comfortable and gets the job done, we really enjoyed the breakfast, this consisted of eggs or omelettes, sausages or meat patty, bread, muffins, bagels, waffles (you can make your own waffles with the maker), cereal, yoghurt, granola, apples and bananas. You can also have juice, water, tea and coffee. Breakfast is a small area, but we always found somewhere to sit and we really enjoyed it, it started our day off right. Close by is a Wendys, Chick-Fil-A, a few gas stations, CVS, places for you to get the simple stuff. One thing i will say is that we got a cab from the airport which cost us $40 however on the way back we got an uber and it was around $13 so I would definitely recommend doing that instead! I would come back here if we needed somewhere to stay for a short break.
Coming through Miami with a very large group of family and friends a few nights before our cruise, took a lot of planning and leg work. Having researched many hotels in the Miami area this one seemed to be the best bang for our buck, as the prices of hotels in Miami during spring break seem to by sky high!! Overall I am super impressed with the staff and accommodations. Having a group of 50+ staying under one roof can be difficult (as I have worked front desk at a hotel before, it can be challenging) and they made it effortless. Veronica is a pure delight and we can't thank you enough for going above and beyond.
The hotel is centrally located in the Miami, Doral Area, about 1/2 hr from the airport and is very close to Dolphin Mall and International Mall. There are also small stripe malls within walking distance that included restaurants. The rooms are clean and well appointed with a small fridge and microwave oven and includes free wifi My reservation was freely upgraded to a mini suite, which included a small sitting area with a couch that was a fold out bed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. While the breakfast was very good, there isn't much variation from day to day. Highly recommended for value for money and if you are interested in shopping.
The receptionist(Alex) at the check in was the best thing about our stay in this hotel. Nice and helpful. The elevator beeps at each floor even if nobody gets off. The gym is small and sad, half of the equipment is not working. The bedding was OK. The breakfast was nice and tasty but the overall wet, moldy smell in the hotel was just too much for me.
Great location, near the airport, shopping malls like the Dolphin Mall and International Mall, Best Buy, pharmacies, restaurants, bars etc .., the service at reception was excellent, especially the Staf May, that gave us all the necessary support and He helped with some questions about Miami and also about the hotel. Breakfast very good breakfast, clean and quiet rooms, this was the third time that we have stayed at the hotel and certainly return to staying there when I back to Miami.
Stayed at best Western plus with my wife for a few days. If u are more about shopping than enjoying the amenities and ambience of a hotel, then this is the hotel for you. It's extremely affordable and more than value for money. Free wifi, free shuttle to and from malls and free shuttle to the airport. Breakfast is included and it was reasonably good.
Clean, great customer service, located close to Dolphin mall. Full breakfast. Free wifi. Gym. Pool. Many restaurants within walking distance. Complimentary cookies for snacks in the afternoon. I highly recommend it.
This is a wonderful hotel for tourists who plan to go shopping. Dolphin Mall, Miami International Mall and Walmart are just 10 minutes way. The Hotel provides free shuttle service for the malls but not for Walmart. The Miami International airport is about 20 minutes away. Restaurants and a shopping plaza are walking distance from the Hotel. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The staff friendly and very helpful. They also provide free shuttle service to the airport, just book in advance.
receptionists could be more kind, especially those working in the hotel longer are quite rude. The upstarts receptionists are much more pleasant. could have safe in rooms . cleaning of carpets could be better.
We chose this hotel because we were going to vist the Everglades (about 1/2 hour drive to the Everglades). The hotel was ok, standard was good and room was spacoius. There is a pool at the back (which was quite cold because it's in the back in the shade). Breakfast was ok. Parking was good. Had some vending machines and a guest laundry. Some fast food places, a CVS and a restaurant within walking distance. Only negative thing is that our hallway really smelled like smoke most of the time. They should really put all of the smokers in the same hallway because the smell was terrible.
This was our second visit to this hotel, the first one maybe 10 or 15 years ago. We hadn't returned because the hotel was deplorable the first time we visited it.The lobby looks very similar to what I remember, but with new furniture and clean. They have the same guest PC room, and even though they're not the same PC, they're not working properly. The elevator is slow. The AC was good. Breakfast was very good. As most people, I spent 12 to 14 hours a day on the street looking and visiting, but when I return to my room I expect to find a TV working in perfect shape, for whenever I decide to use it. If TV is important to you, don't choose this hotel. From day one the TV showed 20 channels (more or less) basically american sports, and the contrast in the picture was extremely dark, I couldn't see the images. I complained thru the phone with front desk, I complained in person in front desk, I was told the technician, wouldn't be there until the next day. Eventually (not the next day or the next one) the technician came and said, that the TV had to be changed. Two more days, no change, went to the front desk again, the person at the desk told me the tv was operating the "same" in all rooms, because the hotel decided that it was giving the proper service to the clientele. The tv service was interrupted during at least 12 hours one day, the hotel didn't say a word; that shows (from my point of view, to which I'm entitled since I paid for the service complete, not partially) little appreciation for patronage. The cleaning and cafeteria staff were courteous and accomodating. The front desk was courteous but cold. Plenty of space for parking. Close to Dolphin's. I don't think we are coming back.
We stayed at this hotel because it is close to banks, shops, and restaurants. I had previously stayed at another hotel close by, and I prefer this hotel. The room was nicer and had a microwave and fridge. The employees were very nice. The breakfast was good. The only snafu was I had booked a kitchenette, which I didn't get. But I did receive a refund, and the front desk staff was very apologetic. I will definitely stay here next time.
My wife and I chose this hotel based on the price, amenities and customer reviews. We were not disappointed. From the airport pick up, check-in up to our checkout a week later everything was great. The staff at Best Western plus Miami Doral was very professional and courteous. They were readily available to offer answers and suggestions to any questions we had. They were able to recommend a rental car company at a special discount for my wife and I which came in handy. The complimentary breakfast was very satisfactory. Overall i would recommend this location to anyone without hesitation.
Staff on duty were very commendable, very helpful, and friendly. Rooms were clean. shuttle service was great and punctual. You just need to be familiar with the runs to the airports as it is on a two hour run. Breakfast was a great spread both days.
Booked a night, checked in late, left for the airport early in the free shuttle with a sack breakfast in hand, which was supplied by the Best Western, free parking, and picked up by the free shuttle when we returned. Are you kidding me, not to mention the room was clean and spacious! We will stay here the next time we fly out of Miami.
About 15 minutes from MIA this Best Western is perfect as a port of entry or exit from Florida. Best front desk personnel: professional, courteous and very efficient. They have a free bus shuttle to and from the airport, good breakfast and nice rooms.
This hotel is clean with very polite and helpful staff, even if some don't seems to speak English well (if at all). The rooms were kept clean even though the staff kept not leaving the correct number of rags and towels to accommodate the number of persons in the room. Their shuttle to the Dolphin and International malls is convenient but could be improved since it's shared with the nearby Baymont Hotel which caused a conflict some nights with the vehicle not able to accommodate everyone. The breakfast offered is very good and has a little of everything that could suit a wide variety of persons.
Hotel located in an area which is very convenient to local industries, restaurants and other businesses in Doral. Walking distance to restaurants and within 2 mins from supermarket. 5 miles from Cement plant (where I was working) which made it very helpful after a long hot day.
Pros: For the price you can't get better. Ideally located close to Dophin mall and Intl mall the place is clean homey and friendly. There are several quality eating places a couple hundred feet away and a small shopping complex across the highway. The only issue really was pickup shuttle at airport that never showed up. After an hour and a half wait and 3 calls to hotel they told us to take a taxi and the reimbursed us for the trip. Breakfast was sufficient and excellent housekeeping with new sheets and towels everyday. over all it was relaxing and perfect for a getaway if one is interested in being close to shopping. If its the beach or downtown try somewhere on the beach as taxis are quite expensive and unless you know Spanish Uber is a little difficult. Con: Airport shuttle to hotel never came and was usually late from mall pickup. Although the staff at hotel were exceptional, the shuttle drivers need to be a little more pleasant.
this hotel is perfect for a quick stop over. Facilities are great and staff most helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and hot. Small pool but does the job. Short trip into Miami but saved a good amount of cash being just out of it.
Very functional hotel, close to th7e airport and to the outlet malls (Dolphin and Miami International). Staff is very nice and easy going. It has all basic facilities, the buffet breakfast is reduced in options, but that makes sense as the hotel is just medium size, although breakfast is delicious.
The person who checked us in was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He gave us two excellent recommendations for restaurants plus for an ice cream place close by. The room was up to Best Western very good standards.
The hotel was very clean and would definitely stay again. The only thing they could improve is bed quality. The bed was not bad, but not great either. They also had a high quality continental breakfast.
I had made reservations at this hotel prior to knowing that my company had made reservations at another major hotel chain for all 11 of us for 10 days. I was glad they let me keep this one. They didn't have the free breakfast (not even continental). The rooms were about the same though. No one was happy with the other hotel they were at. All the staff was very friendly and helpful, I even received a phone call from the front desk after being in my room for about 15 minutes wanting to know if the room was satisfactory. Good location. The only complaint I have is that the elevator was very slow. I had my own transportation and didn't use the shuttle.
My family and I usually stay here as my daughter has medical appointments in Miami. This time though my hubby didn't go with us so I had to wait on the shuttle and I called several times while at the airport and none came. I had to pay a taxi $40 after waiting 2 hrs with my toddler and when I told the manager I was not refunded!!!! I saw many other guests were . I will be using them again in Aug 2016 since I had already booked it , will see if the service has been upgraded
It is a clean hotel. The staff is helpful. The opportunity to improve is the room air conditioner. The relation price offer is ok. Around the hotel are restaurants as Venezuelan Food, Sushi, Pizza, etc. near Shopping Malls. Near the Airport. There is a transport to the shopping malls.
This was a perfect stop near the Turnpike, with relatively easy access to get in and out in this high traffic area. The room was modern and clean; the staff pleasant and helpful; and the included breakfast was exceptional for this level of accommodation.
I went to this hotel for my honeymoon and they made it that more enjoyable!! The front desk concierge was nice!! They gave us a free upgrade on our room due to the occasion!! Free shuttle service to the local mall and they made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible!!
Had a very nice stay. Problems getting checked out, due to bookings of other people which seem to take quite a while to get sorted. We had to state we need to leave as we were going on cruise or other wise we could have been there for another half hour
Clean, well located facility, excellent staff especially helpful front desk. Functional breakfast in uncrowded area, can eat outdoors. Clean, well lighted parking. Secure all indoors room access a plus.
Very good hotel with helpful staff and great Italian American restaurant nearby, suggested by staff. Also great driver in van to cruise ship terminal. Pity that airport pickup didn't happen, had to take taxi and were reimbursed.
From the pick up to the delivery back at the airport we were well looked after. Our room was fantastic and special thanks to Alex who went out of his way to organize our transport to the Dolphin Mall. Also liked the very early breakfast provision. We'll be back.
This is a typical Best Western (not sure about the PLUS?). It's the typical travelling salesman's place, good a/c, dry, safe, predictable, reasonable wifi, usual crappy breakfast, medium price for the location etc etc. This sounds bad, but it's not, most of those things are good when you take into account that the hotel will most likely feature in your travel plans as a pre or post flight haven linking to another part of your journey. The main problem is that it isn't close to any decent restaurants. We were directed towards a restaurant and after a somewhat winding little walk, about half a mile away, we found a decent Italian place. But that is an issue if you don't want to eat fast food. The hotel is fine, there is a pool (which looked nice form a distance), there is a little sitting area and it wo Ulf be OK to spend some time there while waiting for the next stage of your travels. Overall not at all bad and given the location a fair price. Bear in mind that it is a 20-30 minute journey to/from the airport.
This is a great location to stay at. 5 minutes from malls, and restaurants. The rooms are clean and bigger than your average size. Hot breakfast is one of the best we have had when we travel to Miami. Omelettes, bacon, waffles, potatoes, hard boiled eggs and then your typical continental items as well. The only negative review i have to mention is that parking is very limited and we had to park next door at its connected neighboring hotel. Other than that, i will be coming back next time we are in town to stay.
I found the outside of the hotel kept up nicely and clean. The lobby area was clean an well taken care of . We where able to check in early because they had my room ready which was a great help to me. The front desk staff where friendly and very helpful , they answered all my questions and where helpful in recommending different places to eat. My room was clean an very comfortable and had everything my wife an I needed. The only one negative I could say about the hotel was the shuttle service we had to wait 2 hrs at the Miami airport for it to pick us up. I called twice to let them know where we where at but I don't think they knew where the shuttle was at when I called them , all they said was they would contact the driver an let him know where we where at.
Booked last minute and it took us awhile to find it. Its not right off the street. In a nice area, plenty of food options in the area. Felt safe in the evenings. Hotel is fairly new in decent condition. Our couch in our room had a medium sized hole in the arm and the toilet ran the entire stay but we just shut the bathroom door. High speed internet was very sufficient for work including VPNs. Breakfast was a bit disappointing so we went to Chic Fil A for breakfast. Quick checkin and check out. Hotel does have some work going on. regular repair and maintenance it looked like. Parking was hard to come by when coming in late. lot was pretty much full. Decent night's sleep though and friendly staff.
hotel is average but the transfers to airport and cruise ship terminal were unacceptable got off the plane and waited over 2 hrs for a transfer after calling several times and the next morning waited 3 hrs after our reservation for a transfer to cruise ship terminal would not recommend we are thinking of suing them
Room was basic and flawed, not too updated but, clean. Felt too expensive for the room, location and amenities! Some breakfast hots were a bit cold. The management/ hotel staff accommodating and helpful for a short notice, Thank you Alex! And, the other staff pleasant& helpful.
Alex from the Front desk is very helpful. The breakfast was the same every morning but it was still something to start your day. The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner. The bed was divine! The mall shuttle driver did not come to the mall to pick us up at the scheduled time on one day and we were waiting for almost an hour but when we called the hotel they sent him to pick us up.
I and my husband spent in this hotel 2 nights. Rooms are spacious with fridge and microwave. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. Iron facilities in the room. WiFi is working great. Breakfast is really good. It is supposed to be continental but it is far away from continental. They really do a lot to feed you in the morning. Fresh waffles are excellent. Also sausages and eggs are nice. The only thing: invest into second toaster. Swimming pool is small but clean and sitting area around is very relaxing. In the neighbourhood are many shops and restaurants. Shuttle is the only negative point. Simply do not count on it, take Uber. They should improve shuttle services. We were waiting 1,5h for a shuttle as we missed first one. I was totally irritated as I wasted a lot of time permanently being told that shuttle was coming. Finally I took a taxi. Fortunately, hotel refunded me the money. Taxi is not cheap. More than $35 so it is far from the airport.
A nice place to stay for an over night layover. Breakfast had a variety of choices and there was a shuttle ($15/person) to the Miami port. Dislike: had to wait at the airport for over 45 minutes waiting for the shuttle to the hotel.
We booked this hotel as a place to stay after two back to back cruises. The main reason I booked the hotel was that it was said to be close to the airport and had a shuttle. As it turns out it is 20 minutes from the airport, which in my mind is too far to claim to be an airport hotel (as did the taxi taking us there form the cruise terminal...he had never been to the hotel!). The hotel is very nice, clean and spacious. The location is great for getting a bite to eat and exploring. It has an outdoor pool and patio as well as a respectable gym. In the morning, however, we found out the airport shuttle doesn't start until 6am and only runs every two hours. We had an 8am flight with a two hour check in window due to international flights. Running the shuttle half an hour earlier would be nice, as well as more often. The shuttle did arrive at the hotel at 5:40, but the driver said he would not leave until 6am and leaned on the front counter and talked with the desk clerk. If you're looking for a place to stay, its great. If you're travelling and just looking for an overnight prior to a flight I would suggest going closer to the airport.
stayed here over the weekend before going on a cruise. service was great. had to take a cab to the hotel due to a mix up and the front desk reimbursed our fare. make sure to use the phones by baggage claim to call the shuttle. and make sure that the shuttle bus says best western/baymont inn( baymont is right beside bw). we got on the wrong shuttle (driver assured us it was the right one) and were driven back to the airport. by that time the shuttle service had stopped running. breakfast was great-had bacon one morning and sausage on another day. also fresh fruit. lots of good selection.location also good. not so close to the airport but lots of restaurants and a cvs within 10 min. walking distance (think chinese and typical fast food chain restaurants). we took a car service to the port and it was about a 20 min ride. would stay here again. rooms were clean.
Like others have stated, this place is very far from the airport and the shuttle never came to pick us up in over an hour. Nice front staff paid our $50 cab fare to there after us looking at every passing bus for 80 minutes! Wow, that was annoying after 12 hrs and 2 connecting flights! If you have an early morning flight stay elsewhere!!! I bought on Priceline name your price as a Miami airport hotel under $125 and this is what came up. We had a celebrity cruise following day and took a charter from hotel to cruise port suggested by front staff. The problem is that the little bus says Baymont on the side of it as well as best western, and once we let that one go by. Check in staff said that this hotel owned by the same company as Baymont and in the process of changing name if hotel since so many complain how far away it is from airport. That bus was tiny! I can't imagine how they can accommodate morning flight passengers with luggage all wanting to get there at the same time! Maybe uber from airport if they let you.
We stayed here for two nights as it was handy for the airport, and for Miami Beach. It is a fairly new build, with a really big and comfortable room, lots of free parking, a nice pool and very nice staff. It hasn't got a lot of character and you'd probably need to drive to eat as there is only one "proper" restaurant within walking distance. Miami International Mall is 2 miles down 107th. The gym is tiny, with poor equipment which doesn't feel as if it's seen any graphite spray or been maintained in a long while. I only tried it the once, which is unusual for me as I always like to train.
Your web site offered free shuttle service, but did not mention how long we would have to wait. We ended up waiting over 2 hours for hotel shuttle from airport to hotel. We had 6 people in our party, so I feel we should have been able to get a shuttle sooner. Not like they would have been making a trip for 1 or 2 people. And we called as soon as we claimed our luggage.
Located 20 min from the airport by taxi & 10 from Dolphin Mall. Breakfast is very basic. The room has an iron, iron board, WiFi is OK, staff speaks Spanish, restaurants, Drugstore, and gas station are close, no public transportation, better rent a car, free shuttle to airport and Mall available, not from airport.
The hotel is a bit expensive for what it offers. It is about 30 minutes from the airport and the hotel transport shuffle is one every two hours. There is NO public transport into Miami Beach and a taxi is around 60 dollars each way. For around £130 per room I did not expect to have to use plastic knives, forks and spoons with plastic plates and plastic/paper cups!! We stayed for a total of five nights (3 inbound and 2 outbound). The pool area, although small with about 3 sunbeds was quite nice but it might be too small in the heat of the summer. The rooms were exceptionally spacious but they had very little wardrobe space. We asked the staff how we could get into Miami Beach area and were told that taxi was the only way to get there. They also told me that there was no public transport to Miami from the Airport!!!! I could not believe this information and decided to found that if I got the hotel shuttle to the Airport I/we could get into Miami by train and bus for less than 6 dollars each. None of the hotel staff could give me any advice on how we should get to Miami. The hotel also runs a shuttle bus to the local Shopping Mall (reputedly one of the largest in the USA). However it goes at 0930 and 1130. The next (return) journey is not until 2130hrs!!! The staff advise that you get a taxi back at around 12 dollars.
Was nice and comfortable, maybe a little overpriced cause the "PLUS" is not really visible compared to similar hotels from the same group. Anyway they have a friendly staff, room and amenities were good enough and is close to KMIA
I accidentially booked a wrong room category, but it was absolutely no issue to change. There were no extra issues for that. Breakfast is OK We just used it as last night before our flight, so we did not use pool etc.
Hotel Ok to stay at night before the a cruise. The problem we had is that we had to wait a little over an hour for the shuttle. That was very frustrating. Everything else was OK. Be sure to check out the Italian restaurant nearby. It was great.
Front desk personnel were great - very helpful at when I arrived without a reservation, but with confirmation from them that a room was available. The room was as expected and quite adequate.. But this hotel is a full 1/2 hour from the airport and the shuttle runs only every two hours. These are both misleading for a hotel that calls itself an airport hotel. This is the reason for the 3 star rating, otherwise I would have given it at least a four because of the helpful staff.
Needed a stay night before a cruise. Someone had recommended this and felt through reading reviews I would book one night. Had a rental car and the area I had to drive through to reach this hotel was shady and unsafe to say the least. Turned out it was miles from the cruise ship. However, turned out many people thought they would try this before their cruise out of Miami. Rooms need a good updating. Breakfast was included but didn't care to try anything but coffee. Just looked like they could have done better. Front desk was friendly enough, they did offer suggestions for dinner that turned out to be great. Pooled looked clean and fun but it was to cold
The beds are really smalls in 4 people rooms,, 120cm for 2 people.. In real there can sleep only 1 person even they say is kingsize bed. I was unsatisfied. But everything else was good. The breakfast was really good.
The Receptionist Alex went truly out of his way to help my family and me. Our flight was cancelled and we had to stay another night in Miami. Alex helped us all to feel welcome and comforted us when we had difficulties to order some food. He took care of us as guests as if we were part of his family. This is true hospitality and made us feel safe and welcome in a foreign country. I would always come back to Best Western Plus.
The worst Best Western I've every stayed at. Not helpful at all. With the problem I experienced the staff said that the person who took my reservation in the beginning didn't speak English well. I paid $40.00 american to get to this hotel when I was told it was close to the airport and close to the port.
Had booked 6 nights at this hotell for our Florida holiday. Ended up staying 2 more nights beacuse the hotell we stayed at prior to this best western was so bad that we decided to leave it 2 days in advance despite that we already paid for it without possible refunds. Never been so happy to arrive to a hotell with european standard concerning cleanliness and good overall shape of the hotell. Clean and big rooms and good breakfast. Helpfull & friendly staff and an overall well kept facility. Sticking to Best western in the future, reliable and clean hotells. I highly recomend this hotell, especially if your travelling with kids and family.
This hotel is billed as "airport". We were stuck in Miami due to cancelled flight and it was a $40 cab ride that took almost 1/2 hour. The room smelled horrible and bathroom was dirty. The people were nice but that does not make up for smelly room.
very nice place to stay you will enjoy every moment of it the staff are very friendly and will treat you good so next time you looking a hotel to stay remember to stop in best western and have your self the best experience ever so have a nice stay
The first room on the third had bad odor. The second room on the first floor was not that great, it was liveable, I had to open the windows for fresh air all night. I have allergy and very sensitive to odors.
it was more than great for the price, the rooms were bigger than appeared in the pictures online. the staff was verry friendly and helped once they were able. bed was comfertable and the free shuttle to the mall was also good even thou when you spoke to the driver he wasnt that friendly overall it was a nice stay.
The Carpet must be clean as it has a bad smell. The Hotel and its location was great and was close to Dolphin Mall and International mall. Breakfast was for great, Staff was a bit helpful. We ask if we can leave our luggage in their store room for a bit as our flight was not leaving until the afternoon. we were told no as they didn't have a key for store room:( didn't make sense but anyway what can we do:(
We always come to our departure city ahead of time and chose this property for it's proximity to airport. Suites are comfortable, staff are great and breakfast is adequate and price is right. A good stop over alternative
Room smelled musty. Everyone kept speaking Spanish to us. Breakfast was good but not enough to tables to eat at. Elevator was super slow. Initial checkin people weren't very friendly. The free shuttle to the mall was weird as it goes at 11 and they don't pick up again til 8. 9 hours of shopping is too long. Too expensive at $200 a night. We paid less for a Fairmont the week before and it was much nicer. Do not recommend.
My room was to be non-smoking. It was smoked in before we got there and smelled terrible. The water was not hot. Shuttle did not arrive to bring us from the airport. Ended up hiring a Taxi. Employees were very nice.
Stayed at the BW Kendall the last time but rates a little less here and not that much further. Stayed here Saturday night before the race and Sunday night after. I always ask for a first floor room which we got and close to the side entrance which was handy. We had a king bed suite which was a large room but didn't seem to be well laid out. The desk was at the end of the bed so I had to move the desk chair completely out of the way to get around the bed to my side. The hvac blower was somewhat noisy. As someone noted in a review, we got to the breakfast after 9 on Sunday and no place to sit except in the lobby. Monday was less crowded and there were seats in the breakfast area. The desk clerk forgot to program our room key for 2 nights(this has happened before at other locales) so we had to get new key cards. Overall, an ok place but I probably wouldn't get a suite next time. The best part was my wife found a $20 bill in the hallway on the way out!
The rooms were clean with enough space. Location was good, close by the airport, restaurants and shopping malls (they have a shuttle). Breakfast was good. Alex from front desk was extra helpful and really made our stay perfect! The only problem is they do not have a real luggage storage room for after checkout.
Convenient location, near airport, shopping and dining. Spacious rooms. Updated and plenty of amenities in room (nice microwave, tons of outlets for electronics, modern TV, lighting, etc.) Bed comfortable and nice view outside room with great light-blocking drapery. Beautiful outdoor pool My two complaints are that the breakfast was very low quality and there was only one elevator for guests and service personnel, and it was slow.
The price of the hotel was very good for the value of services received. Wifi connection was excellent. Hotel to Airport shuttle services were good. The gym was acceptable but could have been a bit better. Breakfast was also very good.
This was not the first time I stayed at Best Western. My stay this time was just as good as in previous stays. The location is ideal for business and pleasure and staff are hospitable and helpful. I would recommend a stay at this hotel.
I found the changed the company that doest the transportation to the port now it's $15 per person while I found miami transportation and they are $9.00 per person. If you need transportation call them at 305-412-8008 I've used them for 11 years now there pushed out. I no longer work with them
Very nice hotel with very friendly staff. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. We were in town for he Miami carnival and needed a place to stay that was close to the Fair Grounds. Very clean...there's a pool!
Needed something close to the airport for an early flight the next morning. We waited 35 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport. Then it took 45 minutes to get from the airport to the hotel. The hotel was nice, clean and has restaurants within walking distance. In the morning the shuttle showed up late but got us to the airport in time for our flight. We found out that there's a Best Western Plus North that is closer to the airport. We will stay there next time.
Stayed here for 5 days...It was nice!I appreciated having the shuttle service to and from Dolphin mall and Miami international mall...Also the hotel was close to some food places auch as pollo tropical..a pizzeria...wendy's to name a few as well as close to a supermarket and a pharmacy...The daily breakfast wasnt bad for what was offered..Decent place..would go back again!
Staff was excellent but hotel is showing its age. Breakfast was very good with lots of selection. Pool was lovely. However there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and that is not acceptable. The hotel is quite a distance from the airport but they do have a very good shuttle service. There was good A/C in the room and plenty of hot water.
I very much enjoy my visit at this hotel, the staff was kind and courteous, the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel was excellent. The staff takes care of every single detail of your stay, you wont be dissapointed. You should definitely stay here if you have the chance.
My stay here was to facilitate 3 days of business at a location not far away. It had all that I needed for that time such as free wi fi and local calls, a fitness centre, outdoor pool, full breakfast, papers and airport shuttle. The only things I had issue with were the taste of the scrambled egg, which was tasteless and likely not made with real egg, and the coldness of the rooms. I returned to my room at the end of one day and found the setting at a freezing 60 degrees - I had left it at 77 because I don't like feeling cold. Front desk staff were very helpful (especially when I thought I had forgotten something in the room).
Nice hotel, well located, but not so close to the airport, with restaurants, shops and pharmacy nearby, kind and helpful staff (I was granted a free early check-in, which was great, after an 17 hour trip) , good American breakfast (my gratitude to the kind and helpful Mary). Spacious and clean rooms, provided with good toiletries and coffee/tee machine and supplies. Negative: shower on a slippery bathtub, with serious risk of falling, (a non-slip mat strongly recommended). Airport shuttle runs every two hours.
A non clean, expensive and bad experience. It is close to the airport but that´s all. I will choose another hotel the next time I visit Miami. The lady at the front desk was unpolite and she didn´t care about the service she was delivering.
I've stayed with Best Western in many places around the World. So, I know what to expect and I am usually not surprised or disappointed. This Hotel was very nice, very accommodating and the staff very friendly and helpful. The property itself is well maintained. It does have a nice outdoor swimming pool and small, but adequate work-out room. The room that I had, was spacious, comfortable and modern. They do offer a decent breakfast in the morning, nothing fancy, but a nice variety of food They also have a washing machine and dryer, which comes in handy if one is staying for more than a few days. The location itself is convenient, both to the major highways and their are plenty of restaurants in the area. Their were a few issue's that I had. For a facility this big, there was only one elevator, so at certain times, it can be a long wait for a ride. And in the breakfast area, with so many people, at times it was just too crowded to accommodate all the guests. And my biggest complaint, was there was absolutely no water pressure in the shower. They actually moved me to another room, but even there, it was inadequate. But all in all, for the price, it was a good choice. .
