« Excellent Hotel at the Beach »

    « Pre cruise stay »

Booked this hotel as had beach front and pool. Room was huge and very clean. Had iron, coffee machine, fridge and large bathroom. Lovely balcony with sea view and great price. Concierge were brilliant at sorting our needs. Great price for Miami

    « If you're getting a free room, great. »

Don't stay here unless you're okay with rude staff. For me it was fine because I used points and did not pay for anything. If you are spending money stay more south. There is not much for food options around and the staff will not help with traveling questions. You may have to spend a bit more to go more south, but it'll be worth it!

    « Amazing Hotel & Staff »

We had problems with our reservation with the agency and the Front Desk staff was quick to help, especially Miss Loisa Cerpa, who made her best to accommodate us and our two little children (who loved her). She was the best at handling this situation. The room was very spacious, modern and high quality, as well as quiet despite being located in south beach. The concierge staff was eager to find us transportation to the malls and parks as well as carry our bags and food. This hotel was one of the best we've stayed in this year.

« The WORST Experience I've EVER had!! »

I stayed here with my family from 3/22 - 3/26 and from start to finish our stay had issue after issue. From rude management to inaccurate information, this hotel takes NO accountability for their blatant disregard for customers and poor service. There was a dead mouse behind the refrigerator of my children's room which made the room smell terriblely they kept trying to deodorize however it persisted. The toilets keep overflowing. My daughter had a barrage of bites on her arms and legs and we realized Our rooms were over ran by red ants. The head housekeeper investigated and came back spraying raid in our rooms while we were in there having a meeting about the day's activities and sprayed raid in my son's face. She never once asked us to leave or advised what she was going to do in regards to the ant problem. I submitted pictures taken by my husband while this was happening because we just couldn't believe that this was happening! I lodged a complaint with the customer relations department of Best Western Corporation as well as the hotel management and to date no one has taken accountability or provided resolve for this disastrous stay! We trust this brand that why we use them frequently I've been a member for over 5 years. I've never in my life dealt with customer disregard on this level! What happened to the customers are my pay check? My email adress is : [email protected] if anyone would like to take the initiative NOW to handle my valid concerns!

« Best bang for your buck! »

It begins from the top and spreads to all the staff. Barbara Romano, the general manager runs a tight ship. Our suite was immaculately clean, with 2 full bathrooms, a living room with a comfy couch bed, 2 tv's, an iron and ironing board, microwave, mini fridge, huge L shaped balcony, nicely scented soaps, ahhhhh so comfy beds. We adored our stay and the helpful and smiling staff. Breakfast was a huge buffet and the omelet maker knew her stuff. Fresh everything, fruit, cheeses, breads, pancakes, coffee.... Kudos to Marlin of reservations, Ramon of the front desk and Mercideaau, the dapper and most helpful waiter in the breakfast room. Location in South Beach is on the beach but in a quiet spot. Don't delay. Reserve today. Comfy, down to earth hotel with coin operated washers and dryers in the basement.

    « Nice hotel. »

Excellent location. Clean. Friendly stuff. Restaurant is Good. Good food. I think fair prices. On The beach!! Nice rooms. For people who like to shop, can take public transportation to shopping area or take long walks.

    « Well situated »

the hotel is well situated on the Atlantic beach side, it has a good pool and is on the free trolley bus route for South Beach. The rooms were very nice (although we struggled to open and close the sliding french window- bit stiff), the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean.

« Start of my 50th Birthday Celebration »

My sister and I stayed here for one night before the rest of our group arrived for my weekend birthday celebration. I'm so happy that we chose here because it was the great beginning of a fun filled weekend! We purchased an oceanfront view, but I would say to anyone that an oceanview might be sufficient because of the setup of the hotel and since it only has 8 floors, (which is a smaller scale than the surrounding hotels) so oceanfront and oceanview is about the same type of view, so you might want to save yourself about 20 bucks and just get the oceanview. We had and excellent overnight stay. We bartender at the pool bar was very nice/friendly and made awesome drinks. The Concierge/bellman Juan was extremely kind and helpful. The pool was nice and being right on the beach was awesome. This hotel was a great choice for us.

« HORRIBLE - DIRTY SCUM FILLED POOL »

Arrived in the evening to the Hotel on January 12th, 2018 about dinner time to the Best Western Plus Atlantic Beach Resort and asked the front desk when we checked-in what time the pool would open, and we were told it's open ?Sunrise to Sunset?. We woke to a BEAUTIFUL sunny morning with plans to take the family down to the pool at 8am and enjoy the pool area + beach amenities and some breakfast before we boarded our cruise ship. We stepped out onto our Ocean View Balcony (We paid and extra $44 for the balcony facing the ocean on floor 7) and looked down to the pools to see several men painting the pool deck with stinky paint on a Saturday (They chose the busiest day of the week to paint the pool). I WOULD HAVE SWITCHED HOTELS AT CHECK IN. They purposely lied to me saying pool would open at sunrise so they could cheat me out of my money $266.30 The entrance to the pool was clearly and intentionally blocked with lawn-chairs and tables (See photos) and there were VERY INTENSE PAINT FUMES coming all the way up to our 7th floor balcony suite. We went down to the front desk as were told the pool would be closed all day for maintenance. The lady actually told me they were shocking the water and it was just a routine maintenance - but that was a lie. There was a sign on the desk that said POOL CLOSED but that we could walk a few blocks and use the pool at another Hotel nearby. That is NOT what I paid for, and NOT an option as my fiancé is disabled and can't walk that far, especially after traveling all the way from Minnesota and walking thru 3 airports the night before. We specifically hand-picked this Best Western Plus (Plus means it is suppose to be better than their regular hotels) because we trust the brand and the reviews. We could have stayed at ANY Hotel on Miami Beach, but we chose this one because of the Pool, Patio View and access to the beach and that too was closed because of the pool access being closed too. We did NOT get ANY of the outdoor amenities we were promised as advertised by them when we agreed to stay there and paid over $40 EXTRA for an Ocean View Balcony suite we could not enjoy. We were treated badly when we complained that morning buy an uninformed clerk. So, we phoned the hotel after our vacation and the hotel manger had the nerve to email us several days later and INSISTED the pool was NOT closed when it clearly was (See photos).

« Great Stay in a Great Hotel »

Myself and my family stayed in Miami Atlantic plus from 02/04/18 to 10/04/18 and was more that surprised and impressed with the hotel. Before we left I read the reviews on trip Advisor and was a bit skeptic after ready a lot of negative reviews . I am not sure why this hotel received so many negative review because we had no issue at all in fact all I have was praise for thee hotel and staff . The room and service that we received for the price we paid was awesome, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling on a budget. A big thanks to Best Western Plus and all staff.

« Diabolical! Proceed with caution!! »

This hotel is awful. The only thing decent was the dinner we ate on the first night - EVERYTHING else is far below a general standard. If you don't need sleep... stay here. If you are happy with poor service - stay here! If you have a family... DO NOT STAY HERE! The rooms are outdated and very noisy, parking is a 15 minute walk away and the rooms stink of weed! We were not offered a change of room and had 3 kids with us. Think before booking. Don't think I will ever stay in a Best Western again.

« Wonderful stay in Miami Beach »

The hotel is clean and the service is wonderful, although It could use a little updating. The price is more than reasonable for the area. It has direct beach access and you can rent chairs/umbrella/towels for a reasonable price. It's in a great location but away from the craziness of South Beach. The pool area is also very nice.

    2
    « Vacation »

Very poor service, apathetic staff. We had one towel in our room upon check-in, we called down to ask for towels for 4 people, 3 times. We had to go down to get the towels ourselves. Not the cleanest place. No complimentary coffee in the lobby. Pool deck is in desperate need of an over haul. Location is good, pillows are good, bad was firm. If you plan to park, $40/day. The day we arrived the garage was full, the closest garage was a half mile away. If you plan to use their beach, there's a $20 fee for 2 chairs and one umbrella.

    « Vacation »

We have stayed here many times, always had a good time and pleasant experience. the staff, maids are very friendly. Excellent location to beach and South Beach. Love the boardwalk. We ate breakfast and Dinner in the restaurant a few times, as well as room service. Food was very good. and the waitress and manager were very friendly and attentive.

« great location, helpful staff »

Great location, near to south beach and a short drive to downtown miami. Modern and spacious rooms with great amenites. The personal was great, most of them speak spanish and were very helpful. We stayed for 9 days and had a great experience over all, would recommend this hotel.

    4
« Great location, Felix was awesome! »

We stayed in an executive suite as we had 5 in our family. It was really nice overlooking the lobby and was super convenient. Location on the beach was fantastic. Bartenders were really cool. Parked our car onsite (sort of spendy but super convenient to come and go right off the hwy) Only negative was the pullout sofa was not comfortable at all. Overall great time.

    « More affordable and it's obvious »

Stayed here for three days over a weekend in March and the only things we liked about it were the beach access and Alexandra at the front desk. We had multiple problems with the hotel room, including a door that would not latch unless you forced it and therefore was left open after the housekeepers cleaned our room and the thinnest walls I've ever experienced. When we asked the front desk to fix the door, we had to complain four times for them to do anything beyond sending a maintenance guy to look (but not fix the door) or even apologize for the inconvenience. All of the front desk staff were rude and dismissive except for Alexandra. We were lucky enough to find her on our last day at the hotel; she was reasonable, understanding, and personable. The rooms are fine but nothing special, the pool is small, and the staff do not make you feel like welcome guests. This is one of the more affordable options in Miami Beach and it definitely shows.

    3
    « Miami Beach Getaway »

Stayed 3 nights here for a last minute trip to Miami Beach. The room was clean and the mattresses were super comfortable. We paid a little extra for an "ocean view" room, but to our surprise it was a "view from the side of the hotel" room. Turndown service was awful, the second day the maids picked up our towels from the floor and hung them back up, and the garbage was never taken away. Had to call the front desk and they did send someone up within 5 minutes. The pool was a bit smaller than average, mostly filled with kids and their parents. Around 5ish you lose the sun as it disappears behind the hotel. I read a review that the pool has a poolside bar- let me clarify this: there is a bar, but it is not poolside. It's in the same area, and they serve fantastic food. The hotel has beach access and they have beach chairs and an umbrella to rent for $20. There is also a Walgreens about 2 blocks away that sells snacks and alcohol. There are a few bars around the area that are open 24 hours, but taking an uber down to south beach was about $4. Would stay here again.

« Stayed after our Cruise »

The hotel was very nice although a couple folks said they had roaches in their room I did not. The on site restaurant was too expensive and the food wasn't that great. Nice location with a pool and the beach right out back! I used the laundry to wash my clothes after the cruise it was actually cheaper than the ship. And the dryer was $1.75 had to pay twice to get everything dry. Overall it was a nice place to stay and the staff was friendly and offered great customer service.

    « Mid range hotel »

This hotel is situated in mid beach and is away from the hustle of south beach. Our room was on floor ten known as penthouse! We had a balcony on the side but with a good view of the beach and sunny. The room was a good size, clean and had a desk and chair, sideboard with big drawers and shelving, bed side tables and a comfy chair. Iron and ironing board and coffee machine. Good size bathroom. There was some noise from room opposite and next door because they had loud voices, otherwise it should not have been a problem Out on the balcony it is noisy. Each evening the hotel next door had loud music around the pool area but it did stop when it got dark. There is a lot of road traffic and just general noise and planes going overhead but I think that is just Miami Beach. Check in. We arrived off a cruise ship at 9 in the morning. We did the paperwork and then left our luggage with the concierge and went to enjoy the day. We returned at 3 and our room was ready. Breakfast is nothing fancy but enough. Coffee and fresh juice is served at once and then you help yourself. Pleasant staff. We had one evening meal in the restaurant. Only two other people were in at the time and it all felt rather odd. Portions were huge and my husband and I were not served at the same time so I had to wait for his food to come. It was alright but we did nog eat there again. We did not find any restaurants around the hotel without having to go some distance. There is a small pool between the hotel and the boardwalk but it was totally uninspiring and also busy with children. It is a flat concrete area, not at all attractive. The bar was also most uninviting and was not open in the evening. There was nowhere to sit and relax with a coffee in the evening and although there was a bar on floor 4 we were told it was closed. This hotel is a reasonable price for the area it is in.

    « Really Bad »

I could start with we couldn't check into our rooms until after 4 pm despite the fact that our reservations were made almost a year ago. Next, there's the Roaches. Yes, that's right, ROACHES. some of our party checked out immediately but most of us didn't have transportation and our shuttle was set up to pick the group up there on Monday. The service is terrible. The guy working at the pool bar was nice enough, just bad food service and the front desk and housekeeping staff... SMH You may want to try another place. This place was pretty bad but I enjoyed my cruise ??

    3
    « Not bad »

Nice location, close to everything, love the beach, small rooms, beach bar and hotel bar not open but close to other hotels and hot spots, it's all expensive and there is no parking but use of Uber was fast

    4
    « Good stuff »

Very good place to stay. The hotel is clean, the rooms are modern, the beds are comfortable and feel new. The best thing is that this place does not charge any resort fee such many other direct beach hotels. The staff was well trained however most have been far away from giving a motivated face towards the customers. The gym exists but only contains very basic elements for fitness. A bar is also there, but they run out of red wine while I was there. The restaurant is fine for breakfast. In some aspects this hotel is very basic. However, I can definitely recommend to stay there.

    5
    « Girls trip »

Wonderful hotel with amazing views. The pool bar was very nice. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The Aqua dining hall had great food and room service was great. I definitely recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Nice Hotel »

Nice hotel with attractive room pricing compared to other high end hotels in the area. I requested and received an oceanfront room on a high floor and they put me in a nice room on the highest floor. Easy access to the boardwalk. No complaints

    4
    « Good location »

I really enjoyed having access to the boardwalk and Miami Beach from this hotel. The pool was also nice. It's an easy walk to restaurants as well as a Wal Greens. The concierge did a great job providing a shuttle to the cruise port.

« Needs lots of improvement »

Our stay started by trying to unload our luggage. Only room for 3 cars in front of hotel. While I had someone inside checking on our room, I am blocking others from leaving. Then as many have reported rooms are NEVER ready before 4. How can a hotel clean all the rooms at 3:59 or later.... People all over the lobby waiting with their luggage. Staff tries to do their best but have to follow the rules. They even took our phone number to let us know when room was clean but of course that wouldn't be until after 4. Our room was one top floor and was clean comfortable and a view of the ocean. That is only reason I gave them 3 stars... everything else is horrible. Since parking is upwards of $35 we parked in a garage about a half mile away. Therefore we were sort of stuck with restaurants in the area.... which are basically all hotel run so that was not good. BW restaurant looks more like a cafeteria than restaurant. We ate elsewhere. If our car had been on premise we would have driven to something better. Upon checking in you will be informed that your charges will be $100 more than expected because there is a security fee that will be returned hopefully in about a week. It took them 5 seconds to charge it but a week to refund. I looked on my confirmation and no mention was made. Unloading our luggage was a nightmare so upon checkout we walked out luggage to the parking garage and will never ever return to this hotel. Much better offerings in Miami Beach area with nearby parking, restaurants and no security fees

    5
« Easy Access to Transportation »

We took the Airport Express bus from the airport and easily found the BW just a street over from the stop. Pleasantly surprised with the location as the South Beach trolley bus (free) took us everywhere we needed to go or you could walk the boardwalk or go to the beach just behind the hotel. The rooms were nicely decorated in cool aqua and beige colours, giving it a beach-like feel. The bed was very comfortable and room in general nicely appointed. Even the in-room coffee was good tasting and worth mentioning as it doesn't happen very often for this ?hotel coffee critic'! We had a part Miami skyline and an ocean view from the 10th floor with a balcony. Only ?downside' was the street noise from impatient drivers constantly honking at each other. Traffic seemed to bog down at this corner due to some ongoing road work but honking, driving while using their cells was pretty much the norm. Tourist pedestrians be aware. We only had 3 short days in South Beach but were able to arrange day trips from the hotel lobby. Juan was both helpful and knowledgeable for arranging for us. A very pleasant first time stay in South Beach.

    « No problems »

We stayed for 1 night before leaving on a cruise. We were a a little concerned after reading some of the bad reviews. I'm not sure if they were staying at same place. The Atlantic Beach BW was great. The location is A+, its on a great beach. The Miami Beach free trolley is close to explore city. Lots places to eat close by. The staff were excellent and super friendly, hotel was clean and modern. Our room was on the 9th floor and was big and roomy with a great view. We got complimentary coupons for drinks at pool bar and breakfast. The service at breakfast was great and food was excellent. We would 100% stay here again. No Problems, and BW was reasonable priced compared to other hotels in area. There was some construction noise across the street, but didn't cause us any issues.

    « Good experience »

We stayed there from January 20th to 26th. It was a good choice. Very well situated. The room was comfortable as well as the bed and linens, The staff was very helpful. On arriving to Miami I was robbed and besides loosing a lot of personal items including passports, money and credit cards, I got a broken hand. I met the Executive Chef, Mr. Robert Berryman by chance in the elevator and he kindly invited us for breakfast the following morning. We will definitely visit you in our next trip. Thank you all.

« Great stay. Highly recommended. »

Stayed here for a night before getting on a cruise. Fast and friendly check in. Booked a king room with ocean front and it was definitely worth the extra. Balcony was very nice, overlooking ocean. Clean and nice room. Nice pool with bar. Beach access. Restaurant was great. Not much to do near the hotel aside from beach. Short drive to South Beach. Only downside was parking fee, but considering the lack of parking throughout all of Miami Beach it was fine. Definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

    5
    « Night before Cruise »

We booked this hotel for the night before our cruise departure and were very pleased. Hotel is right on beach so we were able to take grandson out to get rid of some energy! Staff was very helpful and room was great. Had an issue with one of the toilets (room had 2 bathrooms) and maintenance was there and had it fixed in 5 mins. Would definitely use this hotel again.

    5
    « Great Stay »

This was our first time staying at this Best western and we enjoyed our stay the place was close to the beach and the staff where all very friendly. Rooms nicely done and the pool was small but well maintained,

    4
    « Clean & Comfortable »

The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. I was your standard Best Western with a beautiful beach behind it. It is a about a mile from the excitement of south beach but the beach is beautiful. Their internet was fast. The parking garage is limited and $$. There was road construction in front of the building. It's easier to use Uber or Lyft.

    « A Real Dive In a Great Location! »

This review is based on staying in similar type hotels. This Best Western has a "Plus" in its name which having stayed there, I know realize it stands for "plus aggravation." We arrived around 1:00pm despite check in time being 4:00pm the front desk advised they would try and prioritize our room but could not guarantee before 4:00pm. She offered to hold our luggage while we went out for lunch. We walked a couple of blocks for lunch and received a call about an hour later saying our room was ready. Great! Except it was downhill from there and at high speed. We learned there was an additional $36 a day parking fee in a garage that rents out 4 spots to a local jet ski company, The remaining ones are split between regular and compact cars. First come first get (no service). One evening I parked in the motorcycle spots because the lot was full. Our room, an executive suite was really 2 small adjoining rooms; the beds were removed from 1 and replaced with other furniture. Our particular room was very noisy with loud A/C and a running toilet. Despite a complaint they did not fix it. None of the doors closed easily as they were warped. Bathrooms had signs of some updates but were very cramped. Toiletries that they offered were from plastic wall mounted dispensers (Cheap). We tried to use the pool on the 1st day and read a sign that towels were pool side and not to use room towels. Sure thing, except when we got to the pool there were no more towels. I called (bec. no one was around) the front desk and they said they had some spares for just this situation. When I asked to have them brought to the pool they said "no, we don't do that, you have to come get them." So much for "BASIC" customer service. After calling Corporate I was flooded with calls and towels to my room. Thanks, but the problem was not solved! We spent 3 nights there. Each day I returned to the front desk no less than 3 times as our room keys malfunctioned. There is nothing more frustrating trying to get into a parking lot or your room only to find a little red light instead of a green light. The issue isn't that things aren't perfect but that the staff didn't care. The only person who stood out compassionately, was the gentleman who worked at the pool. He couldn't have been more apologetic and accommodating once we chatted. He should be commended. Forgive me for not recalling his name. The pool itself was very small and chairs later in the day were hard to come by. I did not partake in their lobby restaurant and decided to walk for my morning coffee a few blocks away. It pained me to give them another dollar. I gave this a poor rating and not a terrible rating as the location is great. Easily walking to shops and restaurants as well as being on the boardwalk / beach. With the myriad of options I will thankfully not stay here again and would certainly not recommend it if asked. Stay away because you have options.

    4
    « Family Vacation »

Family suite was large and clean. Balcony was secured shut and faced a wall. Toilet had to be fixed a few times...but maintenance came right away each time. Was offered another suite the next day but didnt want to repack everyone up. So we stuck with not having a balcony or a view. Staff and concierge very friendly and try to please. Pool was on the small side. But location was great. Cant beat that. Overall not a bad experience. Would probably stay there again.

    « Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. »

Arrived late evening, Woke to a BEAUTIFUL sunny morning with plans to take the family down to the pool before we boarded our cruise ship. It was a Saturday and they decided to CLOSE the pool to paint the pool-deck. I am so angry - will be calling corporate today. Their solution was that we walk a few blocks to their ?partner hotel? and use their pool. We can NOT walk far after after traveling thru 2 air ports and hubby's feet and back would not allow it. Sooooo disappointed. We paid for a balcony with ocean view/pool view and the SMELL from the paint came all the way up to your balcony. HORRIBLE! Shame on you for doing maintenance on a Saturday SMH!

« Handy Beach Hotel ,2 1/2 mile from South Beach Action »

Great, friendly Staff. Easy free trolley ride to South Beach Partying. Nice view water and downtown skyline. Located on Beach with access to boardwalk. Not as crowded as south beach swimming area. Pool with bar.

    4
    « Great ocean view »

A modestly priced hotel, in mid Miami Beach area. My room was quite ordinary, until you looked out the sliding glass door to the small balcony and view of the beach, ocean, sky. Stunning. The million dollar view made the room feel like a premium suite. I was on the seventh floor, ocean view. The balcony cost a little more, but more than worth the price. The restaurant was gloomy, and food was average. But you can easily find other places nearby. There's a trolley that will take you to South Beach.

    « good value for $ »

Definitely not fancy but it had everything we needed: clean, cheap, and on the beach. quick uber to everything but not a ton of stuff close. There is a Walgreens across the bridge we didnt see til the last day.

« Wonderful staff and location, but fix one item. »

Parking is difficult, and the ventilation systems are noisy, and do not offer a ?continuous on? setting. But the location and staff are wonderful. I'd stay here again, but on vacation, rather than for business.

    5
    « Miami beach mis-baech »

Nice place and a good location. Certainly not the fanciest hotel but it was within my budget. Nice room and a beautiful view. Right on the beach. Pool is small and not enough lounge chairs but beach was great.

    « Avoid this hotel. »

Check-in was terrible. Made me wait for a room that wasn't available. Gave no explanation but plenty of attitude. Thermostat was faulty. Elevators took forever. Concierge was clueless. Clocks were set to the wrong time. Check to see if they are done painting unless you like smelling the fumes during your stay.

We have 5 members in our family, but the hotel would only give us 4 breakfasts. Also, I found hair on the bathroom floor when I first arrived, but the housekeeping staff did not seem to care. Could have been a language barrier.

    « New Years stay. »

The pros, rooms are updated, heated pool, lobby was nice and on the beach. The cons it's an older hotel and the pool area needs some decor updating or something to spruce it up. Won't stay here again. Parking 34. Go park on Sheridan Drive parking garage for 8.00.

    1
« Careful this hotel has no parking and bad services »

Room dirty and no parking , only 25 spot and always full, closest one is about 30 min or $40 per night . Swimming pool rarely clean and beaches are dirty. The hotel services are not best western standard.poor hotel... spend the extra $20 and go to hotel nextdoor

« Pleasant stay until checked out »

I wasn't displeased with the hotel until I forgot my Kindle on the bed and called about it within hours only to be told nothing had been left in our room. I take responsibility for forgetting it, but I cannot digest it being stolen. Very disgusted by Best Western Atlantic Beach at the moment. If this is the treatment reserved for Diamond status members and other guests alike, they should be ashamed.

« MY EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD »

I basically wrote my review in the comment box. I didn't rate the service as excellent because the ice machine, soda machine and 1 of the washing machine wasn't working. For a 3 star hotel this is a very nice hotel. The hotel was very clean.

    1
« Not Impressed and Would Not Recommend »

The rooms are very dirty and out of date. The night staff was not accommodating. Website does not disclose that they do not have parking and you must pay $35 a night to park in their garage or park in a public parking garage for $12 that is a 10 minute walk away.

    « Excellent Vacation »

It was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. I went to the fitness center and it was clean and organized. Room service was fantastic, I went to the pool and it was really warm and taken care of. I also went to the beach and it was beautiful. I went to the bar, the service was fantastic and we got pizza and drinks.

    2
    « Do ot Stay »

Parking is $36/ night and they dont tell you that when you make reservations. If you have an SUV, have fun parking in the basement, which is mainly designed for compact cars. If you don't want to pay $36 dollars per night to park at the hotel, you can pay $8 and then you get walk several blocks. It took 6 minutes at least for the hot water to come on in the hotel.

    1
« As long as you are not disabled its good »

Not one parking spot for the disabled, you must walk at least a city block from the garage to the motel, then another long walk which seemed like another block to get to your room It was a NIGHTMARE for the 2 of us which we were both disabled. For the price we paid it was really bad.

    « Nice place But »

Hotel was very clean with very nice rooms. Staff was great. Internet was awful and not much to do in walking distance except the beach and boardwalk. My balcony door was screwed shut and could not open.

    « Great Place for a vacation!!! »

This is the second time my girlfriend and I traveled to Miami for vacation, and this time I decided to book this hotel with an Oceanfront room. Best decision I ever did, the views were amazing, beach were just right there in front of you, nice pool. We really enjoyed the privacy of being in Miami Beach without need to walk or cross the street to get into the beach. The only downside is that there is no free breakfast, but hey, you are in Miami Beach. We definitely recommended for couples.

« Excellent hotel on Miami Beach, FL »

This is a good value hotel on Miami Beach. Hotel staff is excellent. The pool and beach areas are wonderful. The rooms are very comfortable with great beds. I will stay here again when in the Miami area!

    « Our Second Honeymoon »

Its been 15 years since my wife and I went on vacation without kids, and we could not have picked a better hotel. We booked an oceanfront room with a beautiful view for 5 days. The room was clean and the housekeepers were super nice. The concierge gave us several recommendations for dining and site seeing. The pool was warm, like bathwater. And the beach... Oh, the beach, we spent a whole day lounging on the beach and walked it every evening. The hotel is a little out of the way from the crowds and noise of the main strip south of 20th street, but there are several restaurants in the area and the Primo Cafe is only a block or so away with great food and coffee. Miami beach has free trolleys, or you can rent bicycles, to get around. This was our first trip to Miami Beach and we had a wonderful time. We recommend this hotel and we hope to visit again!

    « What a view..no resort fees IN MIAMI! »

Went in October. Oceanfront room HUGE Balcony. Very clean, cheap booze NO RESORT FEES. great staff...very good affordable restaurant great location 5 min walk to free trolly that takes you just about everywhere God awful gym, Tiny pool area with about 12 lounge chairs and no umbrellas Guys that a real easy fix..

    « Really needs an update now.....yuck »

Location is good. Staff are nice. Hallways are very tired and gross and rooms need an update now..... shower ceiling is peeling and no stopper for the tub so I could not take a bath ..... housekeeping could not find one....thin walls. Would not stay here again.

    « Not a good hotel »

The front desk people barely speak English I had to demand that they not make a copy of my credit card then they did it anyway. I had to grab the paper and rip it up. They called me on the second day of my three day stay to tell me I need to get my stuff out of my room, they said I checked out that morning which I did not. I had a reservation for 1 more night in the same room. The hotel is in bad repair. I had ants in the bathroom.

    « Foot on sand... »

Very convenient location right on the beach, refreshing pool and walking distance to several restaurants. This B&W property deserves more attention from the chain and better management. I would go back in another opportunity.

    3
    « Fish Flies »

Hotel had too many fish flies in the room, parking was expensive and not enough room to park and the clerk that checked us in was not too friendly. Manager Charles compensated for all that was wrong. Can't complain about that!

    5
« Complete and honest truth. »

The hotel is beautiful, the pool is heated and wonderful, the beach is right there. There's a Deposit fee, not much parking & it's expensive. The restaurant is also expensive (the black beans are super GREAT) overall I was satisfied. I'd say be careful in the bathroom the skin has a very sharp edge both my son and myself injured ourselves pretty badly (I was offered a bandage and ice for my head that was burst open) There is some construction going on so beware. Also they took all of the water bottles out of the vending machine so you HAVE to buy it from the restaurant (or go buy from Walgreens) Also they have excursions that you can book, the Miami Sea Aquarium WONDERFUL, the Everglades Tour.. was okay. Just call and ask questions about deposit fee as well as parking prior. There aren't many parking spaces. The fitness center was awesome as well.

    « Dissapointed »

We had a view of a roof under us needs repairs. Loud noise coming from that building, could hear staff outside as shifts ended. There was Cigarette smoke That triggered my daughter's asthma, horrible.

    « Holiday »

Wow no help with bags, had to cart them up stairs! Asked if i had a balcony as was requested when booked! No so, so put me in the penthouse still no balcony. No help getting my bags to the room, bad customer service, door key kept playing up the whole week. Restaurant food was nice great service there, very small pool at closed at 8pm security kicked everyone out of the area even if you were not in the pool. They had guest laundry facilities, parking was a nightmare, and they charged you and arm and a leg a day. The room was clean. They over sprayed the hallways with an air freshener daily. Was an average hotel. Great views!

    3
« Good location, on beach with pool »

This was a nice hotel with a pool with attached bar and access to the beach directly behind, and on the boardwalk. Walk a couple off miles to the shopping district and south beach. The area is safe, lots of police visible around the area.

    4
« Very Nice, Great Location »

Beautiful lobby, nice restaurant; great location on the beach; good parking and access to hop on-hop off bus only a block away. Room was comfortable and fairly spacious. A few stains on some hallway carpets; balcony door latch did not function properly. Otherwise, staff was courteous and knowledgeable.

    3
    « I would say just okay. »

We arrived hotel around 6pm check in was pretty quick did not tell us there was a fee for parking nor if there is breakfast. We called later found out breakfast was not included in our room(we used points for the night, maybe that's why). Room was clean, bathroom might need a little update, bathtub water drain kinda slow, see some rusted behind the door. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Limited spot for parking . We had a smaller room with balcony and a view of the beach which is a plus. Umm...everything is just okay not a wow.

« Miami Beach get away!! »

Very nice older Hotel. A little dated. Very friendly helpful staff. Did not eat at on site restaurant but it looked good and not to pricey. Parking on location is limited and cost $34 a day. However, parking in the area is limited and expensive. This is a good location for Miami Beach area. Great view from our Ocean front room. I would stay here again.

    « Unfortunate »

The location of the hotel is perfect! However, the service desk never answer the telephone. I also was turned away from breakfast due to having all in one swimsuit with shorts on that actually covered my body well.

The hotels has two lounges/bar pool table a pool and happy hour as well there service was excellent not to mention the food was excellent as well.

« Ocean View with Balcony King Room »

View from this room was great! Affordable price, right on the beach! Jet ski rental in walking distance and the beach was not crowded. Away from the crowded section of south beach but close enough to enjoy!

Stayed on points, got the penthouse with wraparound balcony. Nicely updated room with all amenities. Happy to find tea in the room. Sadly did not have my room ready when I arrived but considering the time that was fine. Held my luggage and gave me some suggestions for lunch locations.

« 3* Hotel, Good Location Budget Stay »

If your looking for a base only it may do! It's not luxury or new. You get what you pay for, Miami Beach is very expensive to stay in, we were looking for a quick stay for 2nts before our Cruise. The Uber from MIA was $20. We arrived late and got into our room, we had a 'suite' with a balcony, this was nowhere near a suite type of room nowadays. The room smelled of damp but we were so tried after a long flight we just slept. At 10pm there was no place to eat, even pizza delivery was closed! That was a shock to me in MIami. I woke up very early (due to time difference) there was no place to get a coffee until 7am. Next day we checked out the balcony, and it was nothing special I did t use it one bit, this was because the hotel is very old and I didn't feel like it was an added bonus, just for some fresh air, then saw bugs and closed the balcony doors. The 'suite' had 2 double beds, a microwave and coffee making facilities, a fridge was useful for drinks and food. A few staff we encountered were very helpful, the bellman, Jose in the morning, and Charles the night shift manager. The back of the hotel has a broad walk for joggers, and the beach which was lovely. Pool was very small, we didn't use it. There is a Walgreens and baskin bobbins near by. We did the hop on hop off bus, which stops a little down the road by the holiday inn. Getting around the area was great with free trolleys, check them out online. Miami to Fort Laurderdale cruise port via a Uber was $50. I'd probably wouldn't stay here again, as the rooms were old, the AC may have needed sorting out as the damp smell must of come from a leaking AC?...I like modern rooms.

Booked a suite as travelling with my husband and two year old son. The suite provided was directly next to a bar and pool table! So much noise! Upon contacting reception we were advised there were no other options and the area is closed by 10pm. At 10.30pm there was still noise. Upon contacting guest services and speaking to the duty manager we were advised nothing could be done. At 11.30 pm there was still noise. No alternatives were provided except they could provide a room to us (not a suite) and no refund on price difference! Very poor customer service and a noisy hotel.

« Lack of structure and poor service »

My husband and I have been staying at this hotel from 11/10/17 until 14/14/17. When arriving at the hotel, which does not have a cheap rate, we were surprised by the poor service, nobody greets you, as in Brazil. They do not help you with the suitcase, you have to climb a ladder of about 10 steps, because there is no ramp and the elevator does not work. In other words, if you are a wheelchair, you can not enter the Hotel. We deliver the voucher, already paid in Brazil, with the daily and breakfast. The next day when we went to have coffee they said breakfast was not paid, and we would have to pay. We contacted our agency in Brazil, which promptly sent an email to the Hotel, which they did not respond to. We tried to speak to the receptionists, who treated us very poorly, rudely. So to resolve the deadlock, our agency told us to pick up the receipts for breakfast payments that they would reimburse us. On the way out, they just gave us a voucher for the restaurant and refused to specify that it was a breakfast charge. A clear bad intention to receive the value of breakfast 2 times, since our travel agency in Brazil had already paid. Do not recommend staying at this hotel dishonest !!

« Worst BW I have ever stayed in. »

TV picture quality not good. Ice machine did not work, Coke machine did not work.. Hallways not air conditioned or it did not work. Carpet and walls in halls in poor shape. You have to pay for parking which is very limited; better be driving a compact. No access from parking garage into lobby, have to walk around building. I supposedly had ocean view room but all I saw was the side of a building. Staff didn't care that I was not satisfied. BW should be ashamed to have their brand on this hotel.

« Nice 1 night stay for a large family »

We are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 teenagers. We had to find a hotel that could accommodate us with 3 beds. I found the Best Western and wasn't too sure about booking at first but decided to take a chance. I'm glad we did! The only issue we had was getting to the hotel. The roads are a bit confusing but we finally made it. The lobby had a very fresh and clean smell. We had a room that had 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. And to beat it all, we got the room for $119 due to my government rate! I would highly recommend this hotel and will go back when I'm in the area.

    « We´ve chosen you again! »

It's been a couple of years since our last visit to Miami, We had such a great time staying in this hotel during both our previous trips that we decided to book another week there. and it hasn't disappointed us! It was very nice to see some familiar faces in the crew (and some even remembered us from last time!) See previous reviews for details on accommodation, costumer care and cleanliness. It was (again) a pleasure and a good deal! (price rates are very convenient). Thank you, guys, for more great memories! I.

    « Not Bad »

I visited Miami Beach for the weekend and settled on this hotel. It's not bad. The room was clean, and the view was fantastic as well. Check in was smooth and efficient. There were just a couple of hiccups that keep this from a higher rating: 1) There was an odor in the corridor on the 5th floor that smelled very strong. Pretty sure I got a little contact high from it. 2) Aqua Restaurant's hours were listed as open until 11;30 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, but at 10:45 AM on Saturday I went to go eat there and the hostess said they closed at 11 AM. 3) The toilet handle needed a lot of jiggling to stop it from running. However, beds were comfortable, shower was great, and the balcony is a nice touch. Also glad to have a sleep timer on the TV!!! If I were to visit Miami Beach again and opt not to stay in South Beach, I'd consider this place again.

    « Cocktail Meeting Reception & Stay »

The hotel is absolutely very "South Beach" (SoBE). From the moment you walk in you can feel the south beach vibe. The decor is very welcoming and the hotel is very clean. I attended a cocktail meeting reception and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the room was arranged. Lots of hightop cocktail tables lead us through a wraparound balcony. The view was amazing! There were several food and carving stations with plenty of servers and staff. The food was delicious and the dessert bar was excellent! The sleeping rooms were nice, tidy and very clean. Lots of towels and housekeeping was friendly and punctual. I had the pleasure of meeting the hotel manager, Barbara Romano while I was at the hotel. She is very personable and was accommodating when I inquired on perhaps hosting an event for my company. she took the time to walk me through the hotel and gave me a tour. I plan on hosting corporate events soon and really recommend this hotel for functions, vacations with friends, business meetings or weekend getaways. This hotel is also family friendly which is a plus!

« Unscrupulous financial practices; property in disrepair »

This is a very old and poorly maintained property, in disrepair. The ceiling in my room leaked and one elevator was inoperable during my entire stay. The staff was extremely apathetic and unwilling to help. The manager, front office manager, accounting department all refused to speak with me or return calls. This hotel charged my card three different times for the cost of my three night stay...three weeks later, I am still trying to get my money back. The hotel will not respond. I get the impression that this is their typical business practice. They are located directly on the beach, but the property is a low class dive. I suggest that people avoid this place completely. There are other hotels next to this one.

« Good while it lasted »

Our very first visit to Miami! We chose the best western for it's location & it didn't disappoint. The room had two huge double beds, t.v, fridge, iron & hairdryer. We didn't have a sea view or balcony but you could see the sea from the room. We hadn't planned on spending much time in the room as we wanted to spend our time exploring Miami. The buffet breakfast was excellent & the staff very attentive. Sadly, after just 4 days there though we were told we had to evacuate as Hurricane Irma was approaching & we had to go to an evacuation centre. Again, the staff were really good & tried their best to find us another hotel & kept us calm & reassured. Now sat in another hotel inland waiting for the hurricane to hit & then try & get home.

The hotel is right on the beach, and views from guest rooms are stunning. The bed was comfortable. But the best part was a comfortable balcony. It made the standard room seem like a suite. Be sure to ask for a balcony room overlooking the pool. Great view.

« Nice room, shame about the staff and the hidden charges »

My wife and I stayed here as part of our 30rh wedding anniversary holiday. As a BW Diamond Elite member I've stayed in many BW hotels and we have used them on this holiday. All have been very welcoming with gifts and upgrades. Not this hotel. Absolutely no recognition or even a welcome by the staff. Lots of hidden charges, $32 for car park per night! $17.95 each for breakfast. They even charge $2 for the safe. We'd paid for one of the more expensive rooms and it was very nice. Great sea view and balcony, nice decor and very comfortable. Eventually we found out that the bowl of fruit in our room was the recognition gift, but only after I asked at the checkout desk when we left. The hotel is trying to upgrade to being a BW plus hotel, but on this performance I would say that they don't deserve it. We came away with the feeling that all they want to do is take your money. Apart from the staff, the hotel is in a good location on miami middle beach. We used room service for dinner and breakfast because we wanted to make the most of the balcony and the view. The food was pretty OK and the service quick. Given the choice we probably wouldn't go back. Pity, because a good room and view was spoilt by poor staff and a money-grabbing attitude.

When me and my wife stayed at this Great hotel this past July, we were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary and me and my wife loved the stay. We had an amazing time by the pool were we enjoyed the view and the drinks. I want to thank the pool staff Lady named Nelida who we approached for towels, and my wife had aconversation with her about how Nelida likes to make the tourist feel at home and the difference between my home town and The city of Miami. Also made us laugh so much when she was trying to speak English in a Spanish accent, and We told her it's a nice accent. Thanks Nelida for your Spanish jokes and for making us have a great time, Great Hotel and Great Pool Staff service thanks to Nelida the pool attendant.

Hotel itself found acceptable to good condition. Location of it is in the right place on street 41 st and having right access to the public beach . Parking will cost you 32 usd/night at the hotel , but there is an option with 8 usd/24 hours , the parking lot is located about 5 min walking away. I will reccomend this hotel , stay in Miami Beach for 5-7 days will be enough!!!

the hotel was under renovation during our stay..... noise made our stay unpleasant. Corridors were dirty. We had to move rooms at 10pm at night when asked (due to renovation scheduled on the floor)...... reception staff unhelpful and lacking in public relationship skills. Restaurant in hotel served average breakfast buffet and good suppers in the evening, the restaurant is only open for a short period of time at night...... nowhere close by to eat a good sit down meal. Doubt we will go there again.

In summary The toilet was not functioning and no one fixed it When asked for extra towels, blankets or pillows none are brought When you bring it to their attention the staff shrugs it off by just saying sorry for the inconvenience but does not care enough to try and make your stay any better. IF you bother them enough they only bring you half of what you requested. Let's say you requested towels and blankets... they'll only bring you the towels but hoursssss later No service in the hotel with poor quality wifi They have only a limited amount of parking in the hotel which is charged but they do offer a parking garage 3-4 blocks down the street for $1 the hour So get ready for a long hot walk I've stayed at manyyyy hotels in just this year alone and none of them have ever disappointed me like this They need new caring and helpful staff the girls there only have attitude and not a single ounce of sympathy

« Not the worst but pretty bad »

I checked in to the hotel and went up to a tiny room with a beautiful view. Everything seemed fine until it was time to take a shower and I realized we had no shower curtain. After calling the front desk to notify them that we didn't have one they said "ok we'll send one right up". Understanding that we were not the only people staying in the hotel, we waited a little more than an hour to call back after not getting the shower curtain. After waiting about 20 more minutes and risking our parking meter running out we just showered without it. This is when re realized that we only had one wash cloth and three big towels. So once again we called down to request towels. At This point our parking meter was expired so we used what we had and got the job done. On our way out the door, we told the front desk that we still hadn't received the curtain or towels but we had to go so we gave them permission to enter. To our surprise when we returned, we had a garbage bag sitting on the bed with towels and a shower curtain in it. THEY DIDN'T EVEN HANG THE SHOWER CURTAIN. The next morning we woke up to a leaking ceiling which was just the icing on top of the cake. Once again we called down but this time we were told that the leaking was from us leaving the patio door open. A maintenance guy eventually came up and took the ceiling apart and used a wet vac then closed it back up. A couple hours after this, I went down to get ice and the ice machine had no ice. I then went to the 1st floor but once again no ice. At this point i'm super irritated so instead of calling down to the desk again, I called corporate. The woman was very friendly and professional but did nothing to rectify the problem. She did notify me that she would have to call the hotel which I was fine with. After she spoke with them a housekeeper came up and hung our shower curtain (a whole 24 hours later).

love the location of the hotel the view from my room was breathtaking the room was very nice and clean there are many hotels on Collins ave we made a lot of homework before selecting this hotel we were very happy with the location service and the view will for sure stay at this hotel again

« Bad wisit in Miami »

Got a view of the neighboring hotel, full of cigarette takers on the roof. People sat outside and look right at us in 3. Pool closed but open? The bar was open but the hotel said we lied. Had never been open. The beach was full of plastic from fast food. Was not cleaned the days we were there. Has much better and finer beaches in Tampa and New Smyrna. Will not go to Miami again with kids. But i think it is a nice place to party and drink... Almost 100$ for breakfast for 2 adult and 3 kids, never again

    « I year wedding anniversary »

We stayed on the 10th floor which was the penthouse. I absolutely enjoyed my 5 night stay here. Our room got cleaned everyday, the view was breathtaking of the beachfront. I loved the balcony, the access to the beach, the patio and it was close to stores and restaurants. The staff was friendly. There was a radio in our room that we was able to connect to Bluetooth. The only negative was a pizza flyer that was slide under the door that we deliver subs from and it was a scam $20 wasted but the hotel does have a sign up that says don't trust the flyers that I didn't notice until the next day. When I do go back to miami I will definitely stay here again!

« Great location. Rooms not so great. »

Great location. Wonderful for beach access. Rooms had ants and my daughter said she saw a cockroach. Couldn't find it to confirm. Pull out couch is horrible to sleep on. Mango mojitos were great. Staff was so so. Pool was small but we still had fun in it.

    « Not satisfied »

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The service was very poor from management to housekeeping. Never enough towels for their guests. Another situation I ordered the package from amazon and I left all my information and my room number cause I was expected they will deliver to my room. They supposed to deliver by 8 pm and I didn't let anyone knows at the hotel about it cause I wanted sign for that. In the afternoon I checked that my package was delivered in the morning. I was surprised why front desk didn't give me a call and didn't notify me?! When I called to the front desk they confirmed that they received my package. I send my friend to pick my package and the concierge give my staff easylie without asking her ID or something and he charged me $8 for holding the package! When I came to speak to the manager about it he just squeezed he's shoulder and told me that " nothing I can do about it ". I don't remember that I asked to sign for my package and hold it for me. I left my room around 1pm and my staff arrived at 11.10 am. I understand that is your policy and it's on your website. I'm staying with BW all the time and it's the first time nobody notify me about my package, seems like concierge decided to make money on delivery. I highly recommend you to notify your guest that the mail person downstairs and if the guest want you to sign for them go for it!

    « Staff was terrible »

The place was close to everything, the rooms were nice but the staff service was terrible. I asked for two rooms close to each other (we had a big group) and they told us that was fine, then when we check in they had us on 2 different floors then made us wait an hour so resolve the issue. They didn't tell us about any amenities they had so we kinda figured everything out on our own. The room is nice don't get me wrong and it's close to almost everything butnthe service is trash.

Awful, awful awful. Do not waste your money! So dissappointed did not even go to the beach! Thought we were pulling up to a homeless shelter!!!! Bed was very uncomfortable and left with back pain! Do not waste your money. Charge you a $50 security deposit?! What hotel does this?

« Better options then this hotel »

If you show up to this hotel before 4pm don't plan on getting into your room. We arrived around 12pm which I knew was a little early and probably would have a wait a little bit. However they made us wait until 4pm before the rooms were ready. At all other hotel brands I have stayed at if you arrived before check in time they would do there best to get your room ready next on the list with housekeeping. But don't expect that here. They didn't make any effort to ready our room before 4pm. We sat in the lobby for about 4 hours and not once did the staff offer a better place to hang out or anything. Once in the room though it was present. The bar inside the hotel doesn't ever open though and you can only use the outside bar next to the pool which has a short window to be open. No beach benefits through this hotel so if you go to the beach you will have to pay for chair and umbrella.

« Ants/bugs crawling all over the room »

The hotel staff was excellent Velette in reservations made sure that my room was upgraded to a oceanfront room although I booked through a 3rd party. That made my kids first experience in Miami amazing. The Hotel would have been great except for the fact that there were ants/bugs crawling all over the place. Had to shake all of our clothes out each day before leaving they hotel as well as when I packed up to leave. Just to make sure we didn't take any home with us. That was the only complaint it was very uncomfortable we didn't sleep well thinking that insects would be crawling on us. I'm not one to give a bad review. The bug situation is major for me. Allthough the oceanfront view is breathtaking I wouldn't ever stay at this hotel again. I realize it's only a 3 star rated hotel I just don't think that's what I should get in a 3 star bugs no way!!!!

« BW at South Beach Miami »

The hotel from the outside look old but once you enter the lobby is spacious and it look clean. Room were renovated but still use the same structure. You still notice the age of the hotel though. Our room was fine with two queen bed. Internet was ok too. No free breakfast in here. There is a small mini mart one block away where all people go to buy breakfast since it was the cheapest. There is a nice outside pool and a board walk behind the hotel. Parking cost a lot more in the hotel than the public parking which is a 10min walk to the hotel. Personnel were helpful and accommodating

    « Two week stay »

Family room not comfortable. Noisy AC system. The hotel needs an upgrade. The pool are is often overcrowded, no free chairs. Some guests play load music and make the place uninviting. The position of the hotel is good and the beach access is good.

    « Nice hotel »

The reception lady was very friendly. The lobby of the hotel looks very nice and inviting. The room is clean and the bed is very comfortable to sleep in. No mini bar or snacks in the room. The interior was nice and inviting. The AC machine is a little bit loud which is annoying when you want to sleep, that should be handled. Parking is 10$ a day which is very affordable. The rooms and the lobby look very nice but the hallways to the rooms should be renovated because they look old and oudated.

« Best vacation hotel ever. »

All of the staff is so nice. If you like to be treated with respect while on vacation with your family this hotel is where you need to be. I loved the comfortable beds and cleanliness of the room. We were very happy with our stay.

    « Love this place! »

Make sure you eat in the restaurant. Say hi to Chef Robert. We loved him. Great place to stay. Convenient to everything. The beach is just steps away and the boardwalk was inviting. Don't rent a car. Transportation is right there. Parking is very limited. We didn't try the pool but will next time. We were there for sightseeing and beach time. Try the fantastic Cuban food. Is you like nightlife, just grab a cab or uber and head down a few blocks to clubs and restaurants galore. We would not recommend going in July because it is more than hot! We can't wait to go back and take our grand daughters. Hop on hop off bus is a great way to get into Miami to see everything you have time for. Little Cuba is interesting and has Cuban food at a reasonable price.

« BW charges too much for quality of service and the hotel conditions. Clean the carpet »

Staff is horrible. Getting coffee and plastic ware is next to impossible. Requested fresh towels was given 2 sets for a party of 5. Chances of getting to park in the garage is slim they only have about 10 spaces for a 10 story hotel with at least 80 rooms.

    3
« Great location but noisy »

We spend a week at this hotel. Great location at the beach. The walk to the shops, restaurants and south beach was fine as you could walk along the beach the whole way. The hotel was clean and modern. Unfortunately we have to agree with other reviews on the noise and very thin walls. One night we spend about three hours (From 10:30) waiting for the noise from the neighbor room to disappear. It took several phone calls and my husband confronting the reception until something happened. After a long struggle it was quite around 1:30. Our frustration about this situation is mostly the way the reception cheated their visitors. Didn't really react to our complain (which is actually our first noise complain ever) and we felt a lack of respect.

    « Would give a 0 if I could »

Worst place ever! $50 surprise security deposit. Check-in is at 4pm which is ridiculous. They didnt call to let us kno room was ready. The hotel vending machines ran out of drinking water on every level and refused to accommodate with room service water. Bartender Carlos could care less about anybody but his buddies. $10 for Dixie cup pina coladas and $25 for a bucket of 5 beers? Can't even split that with someone. None of the outlets at the pool work so can't charge phone. This place sucks! Worst BW ive ever stayed at! I need compensation this was a day trip and $300 was wasted for this bs! You need to train ur staff better and act like they give a f*@$ about your customers!

    « Girls Miami Getaway! »

I'll start with the positives: The Best Western Atlantic was a nice, clean hotel in a great location with a breathtaking view. And we only had a partial view! The upstairs bar area (by the pool table) was nice and MIRA (not her full name) the bartender was great. She was the most helpful person in the entire hotel, she also worked in the Aqua Restaurant downstairs. Every time we saw her she offered some information and was polite and friendly and the most helpful person. She was the bright spot for the hotel. As far as everyone else working there, they barely spoke or offered any assistance. Having never been to Miami I had a few questions for the Concierge. Example: I asked him about getting to and suggestions about Little Havana, Wynwood and South Beach. He handed me The Big Bus brochure, said nothing, just circled where we were and where they were. Ok that might have been one way but I'm sure there were other ways like the Free Trolley to South Beach. Then there was the bar located in the pool area, that bartender didn't say a word other than to get our drink order. He had the news on the TV in Spanish and didn't interact with us at all. Pool: one day it was closed (without prior notice) for the platform area to be painted, so we asked the front desk is there another pool. He responded yes. We had to ask where. He told us, but didn't offer towels and we didn't think to ask because we thought the pool we were visiting would supply them. NO they said go back to your hotel and get them. Door lock: the bolt lock on our room door got stuck in the out position while the door was open, so I called downstairs and no one answered the phone. I then went down and they sent someone up to fix. He was able to get the piece to go back in and said he'd be back tomorrow to fix. Never happened, so we were in the room each night without the extra security bolt being able to be locked. Also while he was there I noticed water drops on the floor coming from the vent in the ceiling. He changed the filter and it stopped, however the next morning while walking down the hallway to the elevator we noticed a lot of leaks like that from the ceilings above the entry doors to rooms. Housekeeping: they would come between 8:45am and 9:15am so we started leaving the do not disturb sign on the door thinking they would come back while we were out, NO such luck. So the first day we told them we didn't need the room cleaned just give us some fresh towels and bath items. The second day the room had been cleaned, however no fresh towels or bath items were left. Asked the housekeeper that always seemed to be in the hall she didn't have any towels. So we had to call downstairs to get them. The next day no one cleaned anything, luckily when the brought the towels up from downstairs the day before they brought extra. Might stay again because of location and gorgeous view and the fact that I know what to expect, however the employees with the exception of MIRA were just not helpful or friendly.

    « Good Location That's All.... »

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. We arrived early. Before we left home, the front desk staff said to call when we were near Miami so that we could check in early. We arrived and one of the two rooms were ready. they said the other would be ready by noon. It wasn't ready until after 3 PM. So we had 5 people in 1 room. I know other rooms were ready because people had been checking in all day that didn't have reservations. We were told by the front desk about happy hour and drinks by the pool. It had been raining off and on so we were unsure. When we went to the pool area there was no bartender set -up. I also asked about towels. I was told they were at the pool. I get out there, no towels. So it was a lot of miscommunication between staff and a lot of us walking back and forth. The rooms were clean. But it was impossible to get clean towels for your room. The parking was the worst. You had to pay by the day and the garage is tiny. The best thing about the hotel was that it was on the beach.

    « Parking Sucks! »

We checked in with some friends for a one night stay on our way to the Keys. Low and behold, their parking garage is under construction. My husband had to walk 7 blocks and park in the public parking garage or we could have parking on the street for $3/hr - NOT! The hotel is clean and amenities are good. There is great access to the beach and the pool area isn't bad. The breakfast buffet wasn't great. It was like a lot of hotels that include a hot breakfast but the charge like $15/pp. But, it beats having to try to find breakfast somewhere. When we got to our room the smoke detector was chirping. They changed the battery and it continued to do so. One of the people with us was a retired firefighter and knew that it had to be reset. All in all, it's a clean hotel and the staff is friendly and helpful. Just call ahead or plan for the parking fiasco.

« Fantastic hotel and incredible staff! »

Both of the employees my wife and I had the pleasure of being greeted by were by far the most courteous, friendly and accommodating hotel staff we have ever come across. After arriving early for check in and telling the front desk staff that we had driven twenty-seven hours straight, Without asking for or expecting any special service, the two front desk employees, not only got a room ready for us but also accepted our Best Western rewards card and upgraded our room! Although our stay was short (two days) the front desk staff knew our names and always had a smile while greeting us, answered all our questions about local attractions and truly made our first (and DEFINITELY not out last) trip to Miami Beach a pleasantly memorable one! On more than one occasion, I forgot the room key inside the room. by the end of our stay, I swear the two front desk staff had a dozen or so keys ready for my inevitable walk up to the front desk, red faced and letting them know that this time.....my wife forgot to grab the key!!!! With a full hotel and as busy as they were, they always helped out with another key card and a giggle when I would say, "See you in an hour!". Even the gentleman working concierge was always, without fail, happy, friendly and knowledgeable. My wife had her first Everglades boat tour and saw her first live alligator, enjoying every moment as a result of his recommendation.

    « Dirty »

In three days I didn't get room service, this means I arrived and beds were unmade and the bathroom was a mess. Sheets aren't changed everyday. I saw hairs around the room what weren't mine. If you call reception they won't do absolutely anything for you, they will tell you that they will solve the problem but the truth is that they won't do absolutely anything. The hotel looks nice at first, when I first arrived I was thrilled at how pretty and clean everything looked but it was a trap, as I said, they don't change the bed sheets and they don't vacuum the floor. It's very dirty if you come to think about it. The pool is VERY small and it's always full of kids which is a bit gross because they are usually unattended and it's very probable that they piss in there. The beach towels are dirty, very very old and worn out. Dirtiest hotel I've ever been to.

« Great Location, but that's all that was great »

Overall the hotel was in a great location, however the outside looked a bit mangy and the lights for the sign were not all lit. There was mold in our coffee pot. We had to ask repeatedly for wash cloths each time the room was cleaned. We left a pair of sneakers and the staff wasn't even interested in seeing that I got them back.

    « A Hidden Gem »

Sorry I didn't take any pictures of the actually room. These are pictures for the purpose of displaying the view. We had King Ocean Front- room #716. This was the most beautiful view ever. The ocean front rooms balcony on the corner wraps the hotel- so you have an ocean front and an ocean view all in one. The room was very clean- from the rest room to the bedroom, all was acceptable and beyond my expectations. The mattress was unbelievable comfortable, in fact my spouse had to be plied from the bed! There is a small pool which was mostly utilized by families with their small children. There is also a gym, and their machines are in working order. Check in was smooth! We arrived around 10:30am and was able to early check in at noon. We were in town for a wedding, and the receptionist was more than accommodating. Checking out was swift. We turned our keys in and the receptionist advised us that the 150.00$ hold will be released back into the account, which it was. Parking- There is limited parking at the hotel for 34.00$ daily. However if you google garage 6- you can park there for 8.00$ daily. The address is 400 W 42nd St, Miami Beach, FL 33140. This is the best option if you do not mind walking a short distance. It is 0.4 miles from the Best Western. It took us about 10minutes walking with crossing the streets, traffic, etc. Also I uploaded a picture so you can see it visually. Appearance- Be advised that it appears the hotel is being remodeled. The elevators and hallways is evidence. It's not the worst, however you can appreciate the rooms. All is updated from the tv, decor, lamps, etc. Pros: 1- The cleanness of the hotel surpass my expectations. 2- The ocean front view is amazingly beautiful. 3- The interior of the room is superb (decor, flat screen tv, lamps, etc). 4- The comfort level of the bedding! It's like you are sleeping on a cloud. 5- Every single request I made when I was making the reservation was granted! How awesome was that!!!! Cons: Please keep in mind that when I stayed here it was Independence Holiday Weekend meaning it was extremely busy. 1- We didn't receive housekeeping service. We have to call and ask for towels each day. One day we didn't receive towels until around 2:00pm, after calling twice. 2- When we ran the AC, the vent was leaking water. We reported it the first day and maintenance came about 2 hours later to attempt to fix it. He states it was fixed but moments later it started to leak again. It was reported to the front desk, no one ever came. We used a trash can to catch the water. 3- There is no microwave. We ordered pizza and it was cold when it arrived. We have no means or rehearing it.

Let me start of as saying this is worst hotel. The bad reviews you see, are true. STAFF is amateurs, kids, dont know how to interact with guests, no hello's no bye's. They will stare at you like you bother them. Plus dont expect any help from staff. Few housekeepers said good morning to me, rest quiet like i dont exist even when i said good morning to them. Front desk lacks the professionalism!!!! If you dont mind horrible front desk servicing you and horrible smell of the carpet, then its up to you. Besides the horrible staff, everything else was fine.

Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights but only stayed for 1 but not the fault of the hotel. Miami wasn't what we were expecting. The hotel however was a good base although parking on site was expensive ($34 pernight) the beachfront location was excellent!

    3
« Standard hotel, nice to be by the beach »

We picked this hotel as it was one of the best for a reasonable price. It was a little difficult to find initially as our satellite navigation took us past the hotel and then because the parking block ($34 a night) is down a side street however we found that it was quite a nice hotel, quite modern & nice rooms too, even if you couldn't get cold water out of the tap and the TV signal wasn't great but they were only little things. Also although not a fault of the hotel itself we were awoken by some party-goers running around the hallways at 4.30am which was annoying, maybe more soundproofing could solve this? The hotel offers gym facilities, a small pool and its own entrance to the beach. All in all a pretty standard hotel but there's not much around apart from the beach.

To tell you the truth I was worried sick after we had booked the hotel after using our aeroplan miles to pay for it. It was the only hotel offered through the program. So, after reading the reviews I was worried for about 2 months watching the reviews hoping they would get better. I also felt that as we had booked through aeroplan we would get the worst of the worst. No so!! We were late for check-in (I called them) and when we showed up there was no issue. We actually were appointed a beautiful Oceanfront Room with Balcony that was renovated. Thank you Juana! The room was clean, furniture was new, beds were comfy, well appointed bathroom, coded safe and new fridge, and after I walked the boardwalk I realized we probably were the closest oceanfront balcony of any hotel and the view is breathtaking. The location was excellent, mid beach, quieter than south beach, however the free trolley that runs up/down Miami beach was awesome and can get you anywhere. The food at the hotel was large portions, fresh, and priced accordingly to everything else in the area (if not a little cheaper). The pool bar was opened every day and the gentleman server was very efficient. Ordered room service and it was great. The Pool area is small but it allows for a lovely swim as the water is just warm/cool enough. I liked this more as it was quiet (did not miss the drunk, loud people). There was shade available. If you want to lay on the beach it is just literally steps away. There are rentals on the beach for 25/day through the hotel. Safety (except for drivers on Collins) was not a concern at the hotel, I did not hear/see anything at all that would have made me question the hotel's safety. Actually I did see an additional uniformed security person in the lobby Memorial Day Weekend. There was construction ongoing on the 5th floor but we only noticed when the elevator doors opened there once. Yes you could pay a lot more money and get fancy stuff. But this hotel was renovated, clean, safe, close to everything, with friendly staff (everyone says hi) and the price is the lowest in the area for sure. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the "natural" diffuser they use in the lobby is so overwhelming anyone with scent sensitivity would probably have issues. Once out the lobby you can not smell it. They need to turn it down a bit. I have NO issue in recommending the hotel to friends/family. We had a great stay. My mother, my sisters, and myself shared one room with no issue. It was a one time trip and I am so happy to have spent it at the Best Western Atlantic Beach. Keep up the good work Ms. Romano. :0)

« Clean and comfortable, but nothing exceptional »

Hotel was clean and comfy, despite the construction from renovations. Did not like the fact that you have to walk halfway around the building to enter from the pool/beach area. Overall, the stay was "average." Not bad, but nothing that would make me go out of my way to recommend it to anyone.

    « Complains not attended »

I complain several times about not having hot water in the room, and front desk did not resolve the issue until my last day. They promised me every half a day they will send someone to help me and they did not.

« The Rooms are Very clean and updated. »

Enjoyed my trip this time, complete 360 from my last review back in December. They have worked very hard on their improvements and it shows. I look forward to staying again, the room and bathroom was very clean and the view is amazing if you get a ocean view room.

« Worst ever so disappointed »

This hotel lacks good service. The front desk employees are extremely slow. It literally almost took an hour for the one guy to give us our keys after reserving and paying for our room. Their pathetic restaurant claims it closes at 10pm only for me to get there at 9:30 ish for them to tell me it's closed and the one table waited two hours for their food( which had nothing to do with me and my hunger but ok)! And instead of them routing me to the next best option, the front desk employees couldn't have cared less. I literally had to go to the hotel directly across the street where a friendly bartender routed me to a nearby underground bar that sold food which was pretty good. The only thing good about this hotel is the room is decent with a pretty ok view, other than that just know you won't always get the same item in every room even if it's an upgrade which the second night we paid for was an upgrade but seem to offer less bathroom supplies. Smh

« Great Location ... near the beach »

We used this hotel as a prelude to embarking on a cruise and the services and facilities offered were very good in relation to the tariff applied. Location was very good. Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.

    « Always something. »

This time it was the telephone in the room. They did not work and they were new!!! I was in Miami for a medical check up The mat in the elevator was filthy the whole time and this is a first impression for people. Inroom service good but only coffee and I like tea.

    « SUPER THIN WALLS! »

I have only got 2 hours of sleep due to our neighbors being wide awake. The walls are SO THIN that I can hear and understand their conversations. When someone runs down the hall or closes a door on the floor below my bed shakes. I have had no problems with the staff, but seeing as though I came here to sleep and it's 4 am at the moment and I'm wide awake...I will not be back.

    « Worst expeirence ever!!!! »

Looked like a dream beach vacation turned out to be a very dissapointing huge waste of money and felt very dissrepected by certain staff members! Had an unforseen breakdown on the highway and called before 4 to let them know i was in atlanta and would have to spend extra money for me and my son to fly from atlant to miami the next morning and that i wouldnt be able to make it that night and said they would make it right when i got there and when i made it to the hotel they denied taking that night off of my bill and argued with me over it for like 30 minutes even after knowing of what a rough time i was having on this trip. No Compassion at all from the black lady at the front desk with an attitude!!! I will never ever work for or stay at a best western in my life ever again!! Plus the noise in the morning of them working on the hotel room right next door around 8 in the morning was a huge dissapointment especially when i am at the hotel to sleep in on my vacation...like GEEZ WHO DOES THAT!!!

I had a great experience Alexandria and Charles were awesome. Nice environment and rooms looked great for the price. Bartender Miguel from Cuba made our trip even better!!!!! Much better than the Holiday in down the street!

    « Terrible customer service »

Arrived to this hotel at 1230pm. There were no rooms ready and that's acceptable. What is ridiculous is that there is no communication between the housekeeping and reception. They told us that they will call us when the room is ready and put us on priority as my husband is DIAMOND SELEC member. The receptionist didn't ask us to hold our luggage or didn't offer us anything. At 355pm we walked back to the hotel and its a miracle; they have a room ready. I'm sure there would have been rooms ready earlier but they didn't bother to call, they don't care at all. Surely someone will check out before noon to catch their flight etc. and if there would be communication between housekeeping and front dest they could have already started cleaning the empty rooms. The lobby was nice and bright. Our room was on the 9th floor and had a nice ocean front view. Thats about it. The 9th floor corridor was very dark and it smelled terrible. We were not almost able to open our room door, it was so tight. After being in the room I knew exactly why the doors are not closing properly, the A/C does not work properly and its way too humid! The room was just renovated and walls painted over with fresh color. Too humid and the balcony sliding door was way too old and didn't hold the humid air. The decor was fine but the bathroom was small no vanity room whatsoever. Its a shame that when hotels do renovations they are not done properly and I would say whitin a year the rooms will be in terrible shape as the a/c and the balcony doors need replacement TODAY. In the evening time when we left for dinner we could smell cigarette smoke all over our 9th floor. Absolutely disgusting. The swimming pool is very small. The pool area would be acceptable if there would be more chairs, no towels anywhere to be seen and I saw one housekeeper pushing a cart of dirty towels and she looked like she didn't care about anything. Diamond select member should receive a free welcome gift but not at this hotel, we received nothing but bad customer service. The breakfast buffet cost about $15 and is not FREE like usually Best Western offers. I went to ask if it was really not free and the clerk pretented to flip some papers around and then said no its not free, I mean hello look me into the yes and say it. We went to have breakfast somewhere else. Anyways if you are ok to stay in a dingy hotel and don't require service at all this hotel is fine to stay. Due to the terrible customer service I will surely never stay here again, This hotel is an embarrassment to be a Best Western hotel. I had our best western employee reward cards with me but there was no way anyone would have deserved one, what a shame.

« Simple hotel but nice for the price »

We stayed in a newly renovated oceanfront room. It was very nice for the price. The hallways are in need of new carpet. It was pretty dingy. The pool is small but that was not an issue. Beach access was great. Parking is costly and very limited. Really must walk anyplace you may want to go in the beach area.

« Will come back again! »

We, as a family of 4, love this location. I am traveling with two young children age 3 and age 4 and the location is perfect. The beach is a short walk from the hotel, this place is not as busy as the south beach. We had a room that was just renovated and I highly recommend the hotel to any family traveling with kids. Since the room is new, the beds are very comfortable and the carpet is very clean. Front desk is very polite and helpful, we forgot our wine opener and they were willing to open a bottle of wine for us. Laundry machine is not working but we were told if we walk to holiday inn (5 mins) we will be able to use their service. Staffs are very helpful, great hotel, we will come back next year.

    3
    « Never again »

Will not use this hotel again. Front desk staff was awful. Our rooms were not the room we rsvp and the staff got a attitude when we told them and showed them our reservations. Only explanation was were sold out

    5
    « Excellent service »

The stay was lovely , the hotel is within walking distance to the beach which made it exceptional , The staff was extremely helpful , from the front desk to housekeeping they were all willing to help, especially Juan & Juana, would definitely stay here again !

    « Worst Service »

This is the worst best western to say the least. The hotel staff were not helpful at all. The check in took more than an hour. The lady at the front desk had to give me a different room for a different price, yet charged me an amount not agreed to the next day. There were very noisy and unpleasant people next door. There were no toiletries in the bathroom and the ac was not working properly. The restaurant closed earlier than told by. To make this hotel recommendation strong It would take a lot. This best western needs better management overall. Staff and management are key factors for a successful place. This Best Western was run very poorly.

« Did not get wat i booked »

I got at the hotel n the room wasn't ready, I had to wait almost an hour. I did not get the room type I requested. I booked a suite instead I got a standard room. I booked this reservation a month ago all because I wanted it to be perfect. Got at the hotel at 1pm never checked in till 4:40-5:00pm

« The view PH level facing the Beach »

The hotel was clean, hotel staff was helpful and very polite. Our room was clean, well decorated and stocked. If the hotel is under renovation I couldn't tell other than the cover in the elevator. Nothing but good things to say and would stay there again. They are also located with in reasonable walking distance to shops, restaurants and a great breakfast spot eggs, bacon, potato's, toast, and Latin coffee(CLUE) for $7!!! Go west from BW and you will find it.

« Good location, poor hotel »

Upon arrival at 9:30pm, I was informed their parking was sold out and I could either park 3 blocks away ($34.50) or on the street at $3.00per hour. The lobby was fine, the hallway looked like a crime scene, the carpet was old, worn and stained. Baseboard was torn off, ratty looking. Staff was ok, a bit condescending, (limited parking is in the fine print) Room was wide open (door not locked). Second poor experience with a Best Western Hotel in the Miami area in the last few years.

    « Hotel Horror »

To start, my family and I got to this hotel after disembarking from a cruise. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby was very nice. We got to the hotel fairly early and we were hoping to get in the room a little early being that my brother who also worked for best western was with us. Not that one. From 9am that we were there, we were not allowed into the rooms until after 4pm. They kept telling us the rooms were being cleaned. Upon finally getting our rooms, I thought it was a joke. It was so disgusting. The first thing that hits you is a musty smell. As we inspected the rooms, there were stains on the sofa bed. Large stains. There were ants crawling all over the tables. The bathroom had mildew on the tiles. The rugs were so nasty. And to top it off the air conditioner, if you want to call it that, was leaking onto the rug. I guess that's where you get the musty smell from. Not to forget the horrible noise the AC was making. Even my children didn't want to touch anything. I didn't let them sit on anything, not that they wanted to. I quickly got on my IPAD and started looking for another hotel. I didn't care if this hotel was inexpensive due to my brothers discount, we were not staying. We quickly found another hotel down the strip and closer to everything. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Not even for free. I have never had to leave a hotel before. This was the first. As we were leaving the hotel I saw a family coming in and I wanted to warn them but they probably would have to have seen it themselves. Next time, I'm going to read the reviews..... DONT STAY THERE!!

    4
« Glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews »

We were not sure about staying here due to the bad reviews we had read. The hotel was fine. It's right on the beach/ boardwalk. There is a Walgreens two blocks inland on 41st street for cheap beer/wine/pop and snacks. For entertainment in the evening walk south on the boardwalk for about a minute and there is a tiki bar called Carrabas. To venture a little further into South Beach, take the trolley buses which are free. The concierge will direct you to the bus stop. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't have to bring it out until we left!!! The room was fine, nothing fancy but with no issues other than having to watch your step onto the balcony as there is a big tripping hazard on the floor at the sliding doors. It is a piece of metal possibly to deflect the rain in the event of a flood??? Pool is small but the pool area is fine for sunbathing. Sunrises are a must see and are incredible on the beach in front of the hotel...

    « Wedding Party »

My room was clean. The amenities were good. The associates at the front desk were courteous and professional. The buffet breakfast was the "bomb." I needed access to WiFi and people were helpful with that. My entire experience was good, particularly for the price. It was a very good value.

    « Beautiful »

I am here now for my 1st year anniversary, I was given a room in the Ph 10th floor. What an amazing view and clean room! So far I am highly satisfied would definitely recommend an oceanfront room :) the pool is a perfect size not huge but not a hot tub either. The location. Is amazing! Ordering room service later for breakfast looking forward to it

    2
    « Average »

You will listen a sound like moving a big stone from one place to another after each 10 minutes. You will continue to listen that sound even during the entire night. The rooms are newly renovated, so it still stinks like fresh painted.

« A horrible time was had by all »

Unclean rooms un caring staff low information given to Guest if I would have been a best Western inspector this place was a definite less than 10% some guy on the beach asked us to pay for beach chairs, no identification and had the old logo on papers he was showing us. Did not seam as though he was an employee. And looked dumbfounded when I told him to get me a supervisor

    « Review »

The rooms were a lot smaller than expected. We arrived on a Wednesday and every weekday there was construction going on waking us up around 8 every morning due to the noise!! If I would have known we would NOT have gotten the room at this location. None of the Staff that cleans the rooms speaks any English and it was very hard trying to tell them what we needed. I will say that that they were very nice and patient along with all of the staff. There are a couple parking spots outside of the hotel but you will hardly ever see them empty. The next closest parking is in a parking garage 3-4 blocks away. Overall, the hotel wasn't the best, but I would possibly consider staying again if I needed somewhere cheap to go.

« Well located, beach front good quality/price place »

Spring breaks week is a high season to travel, nevertheless, the accommodation price was reasonable. The property is well located, directly on the beach and secure. The staff are professional and offer great service. Rooms are clean, renovated based on the one we got. Access to parking $$$ from outside of the hotel which is harder on a rainy, windy day. No issues encountered and it is good recommendation if you are looking for a good quality/price place to stay in Miami beach.

    « Business Becomes Pleasure »

I was just looking for a convenient hotel on the beach where I could park my car and have quick access to downtown Miami for a meeting. Even though I showed up two hours before check-in, the really welcoming desk clerk slotted me for an ocean-front room, gave me a guest pass, and arranged my parking for $30/ day, unlimited in-and-out, so I could hit the beach immediately knowing that my stay would run smoothly even though I had a stressful day ahead. My top floor room was way above my expectation, very roomy, nice balcony with a sweeping ocean-front view, a mini-fridge, etc. Not the best set-up for working----the desk chair was non-adjustable, way too low---a typical hotel flaw. Outside, the pool was dinky but who needs it with the beach right there? I jumped in the ocean every chance I got. I-195 went straight to this hotel at the end of 41st at Collins, less than 20 minutes from downtown Miami. Why stay near MIA when you can make a business trip into a vacation?

    2
    « Location, location, location »

The best part of the hotel was the location. The hotel is in the process of remodeling the rooms and I had a room that had not been remodeled. There were stains on the carpet, broken furniture, as well as stains on the sheets. The renovated rooms were nice though.

    3
« View great, rooms need TLC »

We had two rooms on 7th floor ocean front with balconies. The rooms were dated but I think they were updating the rooms. You pay for the view which was great and direct access to the beach. The pool was small about 15ft but very warm and they were happy for families to swim late. Staff were friendly and helpful. Use the Primo café 2 blocks down the road for breakfast/lunch as all the locals use it and it is reasonable.

    1
    « Pick somewhere else »

The best part of this hotel is the closeness to the beach. First, the ease of getting to the pool/beach doesn't exist. You have to travel up and down tons of stairs and good luck finding a towel once you get there. The carpet/rugs in the elevator had a terrible smell. The cleaning ladies were very nice (we were on the ninth floor) but someone was smoking something the whole time we were there (security did nothing about it) and the smell was terrible. If you would like to blow dry your hair or use anything electrical in the bathroom, this will not happen, there are no electric outlets. Overall, if you can afford something better---go there! I would never visit here again.

    « Precruise stay »

The people working the desk were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was older with older carpet and a few rust spots on the metal door frames. It was clean, just looked aged. The view was good from my side room. I could see the ocean one direction and downtown Miami off in the distance the other direction. The boardwalk was fabulous behind the hotel. The beach was right there. For the price it was a good value. My stay was 11-10-2016

    3
    « Location is great! »

This hotel is in a great location on the boardwalk. This hotel is also very rundown and outdated. The lobby is beautiful! Room was very run down. Not dirty. Staff was very attentive. We had suite 801 that faced the street. We had a balcony overlooking street. Not a great view. Had hoped for ocean view. The room had 2 double beds and a pull out sofa; 2 bathrooms, microwave and refrigerator, 2 TVs. The parking is 3 blocks away for $8 a day. I think they have onsite parking for $34??? Happy we only stayed 2 nights! Price was under $200 a night

    3
« Location is the only truly spectacular thing about this hotel. »

This Best Western has a very nice lobby, pool area, and its beach front location is spectacular. You can literally walk right onto the beach and Miami Beach boardwalk. The rate was decent for this amenity. It was also nice that there was a concierge on duty a lot of the time. Although in North Miami Beach, which is definitely quieter than South Beach, there were ample restaurants in the area, and the board walk was spectacular. The hotel pool and outside bar are very nice, and you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas at a discounted rate on the beach. We had a one bedroom balcony suite with two double beds in the bedroom and bath, and in the living area a pull out couch, balcony, and another bath. I was there on a girls getaway weekend, so having the second bathroom was a great perk! The beds in the bedroom were very comfortable...the pull out couch bed was horrible! There were a few things that would keep me from recommending this hotel to anyone but a very budget conscious traveller: Parking - unless you plan to arrive early in the day, don't plan on parking in the hotel parking. For such a large hotel, they had such limited parking it was laughable. Everyone else had to park up the street in a public parking lot off premises (and pay a premium for it.) Maintenance issues: Although clean, our room had a musty smell (which I later discovered was a drip from an overhead air conditioning vent which caused a huge wet spot in the carpet outside the bathroom door.) There was a light switch that didn't work, and the outlet in one of the bathrooms was not working, making it difficult to use a blow dryer/mirror in the morning. The executive chair at the desk had broken wheels and easily tipped over. Overall, the room just felt a little tired, although the bedding is updated and couch in the living room was nice) When we booked a balcony room in an ocean front hotel, we expected that we would have at least a partial view of the ocean. Excitedly, we stepped out on the balcony to discover it extended over Collins Ave (a very busy street with muscle cars that roar by 24 hours/day). We were in the furthest location away from the beach. If you stay at this hotel, ask for a room at the rear of the property. Finally, there's nothing worse than a surprise on your bill at the end of the stay. When I checked out, I discovered there is a "safe" fee (I think it was something like $8.) I don't recall ever seeing reference to this charge in any of the rate details leading up to the stay. I am not one to argue a charge, so I paid it, but it left a sour taste. To sum up, the best thing about this hotel is it's location on quiet North Miami Beach. If you're looking for a more affordable beachfront hotel, this may very well suit; but if you can afford it, stay someplace else.

    « Good base »

We stayed here for 2 nights room clean and comfy with fridge, safe, TV, tea and coffee facilities, The weather was terrible when we were there so didn't really get to enjoy the pool or the beach but hotel is right on the beach and you can walk quite far along the wooden walkway that is out he back of hotels. Hotel is a bit out of the way there is not much around within walking distance we did walk to south beach one morning which is more lively and much more to do there Free wifi but not parking it cost $70 to park the car for 2 night which is ridiculous as a paying guest!!! There is a restaurant that we didn't go in and a bar that we also didn't use.

« Best kept secret in Miami Beach »

Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort is the best kept secret of Miami Beach. The hotel is stunning with beautiful views of the beach. I stay here with French tour groups and they could not be nicer. South Beach is just a nice walk up the beach (2 miles). Close enough to enjoy but far enough away for peace and tranquility. The staff could not be any nicer! Merci Beauoup

    « HORRIBLE HOTEL... »

I checked in NOVEMBER 4th at 4:00 pm but had a reservation through trip advisor to check in at 11:00 am... The girl at the front desk was rude and quoted me a different price form what trip advisor quoted. Checked in only to find there's no parking on the premises and the closest place to park is 2-3 blocks away... Or pay $33.00 per day to park and space is not guaranteed. The room had a old smell and there was no hot water the majority of the 2 day stay... When I tell you I was ready to go home, trust me... Never again...

    « 2 night couple stay »

Stayed in a king bedroom with my boyfriend in early June. Everything was okay. Room smelt a little musty but nothing to crazy to lead me elsewhere. Bathroom did not have ventilation so that was interesting and hot to say the least. Audio on the tv did not work for some channels, so I had to get the tunity app on my phone to hear it. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Breakfast was great (although not included). Your typical best western. A plus for the good beach access. Bar on the second floor offered limited items (no Red Bull, no Hennessy etc), finally had to settle with a rum and coke.

« GOOD PRICE AND QUALITY FOR AREA »

Great location, good price considering the area, rooms very well presented. Can see signs of wear and tear but that's to be expected. Very windy during our stay, stayed on top floor and had a banging all through the night like a loft hatch...

    3
    « Adequate for a one night stop-over »

Reception Area well appointed. Breakfast provided a good choice of food, restaurant clean and airy, Décor of corridors to bedrooms in need of redecoration. Bedroom also needed refurbishment, door to bathroom would not close as it had swelled. Parking in parking lot behind Hotel quite expensive. Not up to the usual standard one expects from a Best Western Hotel.

« It looks like Hospital and dirtness »

We stayed at 4th floor and our window view faced wall of the building. The hotel looks like a hospital. You can sense and feel hospital nostalgia in hallways, bathroom, and some guest rooms. Swimming pool is very dirty. Beach is not free to relax. The third party company charges beach goers if they wanted chairs and beach umbrella. The hotel does not give you free beach chairs and umbrella. Bed cover is dirty. Sofa and armchair are dirty too. Napkins are out. Breakfast is not free. We do not have any idea how its. Customer service is mediocre because employees are underperformed and the hotel is underperforming so far. We do not see any signature of the hotel and their concept of the hospitality is lacked. Ironically, they already impressed us that its a hospital's feel amd its sense. Dirtness and a lack of hospitality are annoying us even our stay price was not cheap.

« Amazing Hotel and Staff! Housekeeping was excellent »

We stayed at the Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort for four nights in this amazing hotel. This place is incredible because the service is just so good and the price is amazing for what you get. The staff their are amazing. Especially the housekeeping department. They did an amazing job with my room. There is no doubt this was one of the cleanest Best Western I've been to.

« Decent place in Miami beach. »

I stayed here with friends - 5 in a suite which had sufficient space for us . It had 2 bathrooms, 2 queen beds in one room and a pullout sofa and foldaway bed in the sitting room. We stayed here so we could be close to the Foutainebleau for a concert while not spending a ridiculous amount on a room. Nothing fancy, but sufficient, nice lobby - would stay there again.

    3
    « Slightly above average »

Hotel is fine, acceptable. Some issues with friendliness and courtesy of lobby staff. Some stain spots on the room carpet, visible corrosion on the room bath tub. One day no water was available for several hours. Parking is expensive 32 dollars per day.

    3
« How much to park my car ? »

This is Miami but $32 + tax for a single nights car parking for a loyal Diamond Member is ridiculous. The hotel is frankly average but is in a great location. The staff rapidly reported an issue in the room but otherwise couldn't give a monkeys. Wouldn't stay here again.

    « Nothing "Best" here »

My husband and I stayed here before our anniversary cruise. We have travelled alot over the years and I typically love Best Western, but not this one. The front desk person that waited on is was more concerned about everyone else than she was about checking is in. Then as we were getting ready to go to bed we found ants all over the room. All they would do is comp our parking. We left the next morning to go on a cruise and when we got back they had not released they money that was used to hold the room 5 days after we checked out an when I inquired they said it would be another 3-5 days for the funds to be released even though it was there error and the room was paid in full! The fact it hadn't been released was total bull! We chose alternate accommodations when we finish our vacation!

    « Bewildered »

I have never been so..... I have no word for this. Offended? Disgusted? Mislead? My girls and I came in to check into the hotel. The pictures are very misleading, but that's not the issue. We checked in when hurricane Matthew was on the edge of making its way to Florida. We didn't know it would even hit, so around 5:30 pm (just a few hours after check in) we asked the front desk if we should evacuate. Us 20 year old girls are from Michigan and don't know what to do in case of a hurricane, so we called our mothers. They said to leave Miami and go back to Orlando. So we continue to speak with the girls at the front desk and asked if we should leave. They suggested we leave right then and there, because when the city gets evacuated the next day, there will be heavy traffic. I asked them if we could get a refund and she said YES. We could call Hotwire and they could refund us. Come to find out I call Hotwire, they have no control over it and call the manager. Lucy, speaks to me as if I'm stupid. Repeats the same thing she said numerous times already. Tells me she can't refund me because I unlocked the door to the hotel room and I'm no longer eligible. She cannot give me a credit, or refund. When I tried to explain she said "no refund is given. Is there anything else I can help you with?" And then hung up. I really wish I knew what to do in a situation like this.

    « Best Western »

It was not as great as some Best Western's I have stayed in, however it is on the beach and that was a big plus. Food is a little over priced and be careful they add the tip for you. I also wanted a room with a view of the ocean, and the front desk stated I had it when I made the res. yes I could see it but I was on the side of the building, and they were full I could not change it.

« Oh my gosh!! Run away!! »

The lobby is so misleading!! This place is a dump!! I had to wipe down the room before I sat anything down. Do not choose this place! The room is dirty, vents haven't been cleaned all year. Rust lamps. Doors haven't been wiped down and it looks like someone wiped poop on the walls. I'm not kidding. Oh and they charged me 32 bucks to park in their crackerjack parking garage that had no parking spaces.

« Short but pleasant stay »

We had a cruise leaving on Monday and came to town a day early. I wanted to stay at an affordable beachfront property for my 1 day stay. This hotel was both affordable and had reasonable prices for parking; which can be very expensive for Miami hotels near the beach. The staff was great and we stayed in Room 616 which was very spacious and had a great view of the beach. My only compliant would be the internet connection was very hard to connect to from that location. I had to keep moving around to find a spot to get an connection. My hubby and I will definitely stay here again when we come to Miami

« Good hotel, Great Location, Friendly Staff, (DO NOT STAY ON THE FIRST FLOOR) »

Overall this is a good hotel, and the beach is just behind the hotel which is amazing. The rooms are typical of any best western. HOWEVER DO NOT STAY ON THE FIRST FLOOR. The dressers in our room literally stunk like mold. I am assuming from having been flooded in the past from a storm or hurricane, and instead of replacing the furniture they just dried them and put it back in the room. As long as we did not open or use any of the dressers the smell didn't linger long and the room was bearable. Breakfast is an additional fee, unless you prepaid for it with your room reservation. The staff was overall very nice. Except for the bartender upstairs, he was rude and was more interested in talking to the person who was obviously his wife or girlfriend not in uniform sitting behind the bar then taking our order. If it was not for the coupon the front desk gave us we would have walked away.

    « wasted potential »

I was frustrated at this hotel, not for what it lacked, but for what it could be. Firstly for the positives. The beach location is fantastic. You are steps from the beach with easy access. We watched the sunrise, hung around until sunset and generally enjoyed the little stretch of beach behind the hotel. Secondly the pool area. It is a small pool but the area is lovely. comfortable and well landscaped, it was a really pleasant place to lay in the sun. Thirdly, the lobby is gorgeous, well decorated and comfortable to hang in. Now for the frustrating parts. The rooms were damp, drab and uncomfortable. The fold out sofa was horrendous to sleep on. There was room in the suite for another bed and they should have just had one. The balcony was unusable as it looked right at a noisy air con unit from the building next door. The hotel needs to get better at the little things that can make you overlook shoddy decor, but alas this was also not up to standard. There was no coffee in the room when we arrived, so none in the morning. Staff told me I had to wait until the staff arrived in the morning to get some. The safe didn't work and the aircon unit leaked large amounts of water on the floor. One toilet blocked, and the other toilet ran water into the bath every time it flushed. When we reported the issues we got a luke warm response. The restaurant staff were rude, and the menu was average. If you stay down this end of Miami Beach, be aware there are limited places to eat. This hotel has the potential to be a fantastic low cost hotel, it's not hard, just get the little things right.

    « Good option »

Great Service from all employees! tall of them made us feels like we we were at home. Rooms are very clean and well maintened but decoration is a little 90's Really confortable beds, good breakfast, nice bar in pool area. Location is really good close to everything

« Just the location is top »

The hotel is located in South Beach (Miami Beach), and is near the airport of Miami (about 30 minutes). Behind the not very nice pool-area, you can go to the beach, which is great. The Wi-Fi is fast, but only avaivable inside the hotel. And you have to re-login every two hours, which is really annoying. The room and the beds were big, but the carpet was not clean. The shower (especially the curtain), the coffee machine and the safe (you always needed two tries to lock) were broken resp. not working. Furthermore the fridge and the safe were placed stupidly (you could not open them without any wenches!). Last but not least we had a problem with one key card despite two resets. The parking in a small garage was overpriced ($16 + taxes / night). The breakfast buffet was ok, not very special, but very expensive ($14). There is one (very old, and very slow) computer and printer for free (e.g. for online Check-In). The employees were friendly but not really helpful.

The first irritation is to try and open the personal safe. It is set at floor llevel and very difficult to get down to , even more difficult to get up after use. Signs of corrosion in the bathroom have always been a problem. The restaurant is dull and not attractive. S

« Great stay, lovely hotel! »

We stayed in room 916 for 5 nights and wow, what a view as you walk in the room! We had a wraparound beachfront balcony overlooking the beautiful beach and round to the downtown skyline - blue sea and blue sky - fabulous! Pros of our stay: Lovely clean, bright reception area Good location right on the beachfront Good size room, panoramic windows on 2 sides Very clean everywhere Close to good restaurants within walking distance Away from the hustle of South Beach but close enough to the main drag - 5/10 minutes in a taxi or 20 minutes' walk The concierge was excellent (sorry we didn't get his name) - he gave us a recommendation for a fabulous restaurant on South Beach, Otentic, where we had a great night The beach bar sold good cocktails and the meals were all freshly made The staff were helpful and friendly We hired beach loungers and umbrella on the beach in front of the hotel for $25 for the whole day (including beach towels and water) which we thought was good value Cons: The air con was poor - even set on 50 degrees the room was still far too hot The restaurant menu was uninspiring - burgers etc - so we didn't eat there The bar was too small and too brightly lit - no atmosphere Plain corridors painted pale blue and no artwork The carpets throughout could do with a deep clean The pool is very small with only 20 loungers and no shade until late afternoon when the sun moves around the building You can't get from reception to the basement carpark so have to walk out of the entrance and along the street next to the hotel which is no fun in Florida's heavy rain! There are only 20-30 parking spaces in the carpark - we had a permit and always got a space but imagine it could fill up quickly at peak times Overall we had no problems at all during our stay and would definitely come back again.

« Old property, awesome location »

Pros: Amazing location and great hotel for the price you pay. Loved the beach and which is just steps away from hotel. Less crowded then the south beach. Restaurant serve delicious food loved the breakfast which is for additional 15$ pp. Cocktails were great!! Overall a very pleasant experience. Cons: Probably it was an old building AC didnt work great for us, and so the fridge we had to put the drinks in freezer so that those get cold. But it wasnt a deal breaker for us.

« Great, for the price! »

We stayed on the 9th floor in an Ocean Front room, so the middle balcony was ours. The views alone made up for anything that wasn't up to par otherwise. The pool is refreshing, as the ocean is quite warm. Although it closes at 6pm, but that's the case with most hotels here. The access to the beach and boardwalk were so simple, and nice. The rooms are a bit outdated, and often damp feeling. But who spends their time in the room in Miami Beach anyway! The staff are friendly, and the main areas of the hotel are nice. The restaurant is overpriced and we were not impressed with the food. The breakfast buffet costs close to $20 each, and is equivalent to a continental breakfast. Very bland, basic foods and the coffee was the worst. I would stay here again, simply because of the price, the view and the chill location. Take Uber around town for $5 each way, and you got yourself a great cheap location.

    « Labor day Stay »

We enjoyed our stay from Sunday to Monday. Labor day weekend. I really enjoyed the beach and hotel amenities. The Lobby was very welcoming and the check in was very easy. The hotel parking was $35.00 , however; I do find it a bit expensive. We had made reservations 1 month in advance for Ocean Front . Excellent service and the staff was very welcoming.

    « 1 night stop over »

The location of hotel was great, lovely to be on the beach and have a pool there too. We had a 1 bed suite to sleep 6, a bedroom with 2 doubles and a sofa bed in lounge. It also had a balcony! It could have been stunning but decor and furniture are shabby and a lingering musty smell in corridors! The lobby area lovely but rest of hotel ready for a refurb. Staff helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Would not want to be there for a long break till it's been upgraded.

    « OK......Needs Renovating »

We are a family of 4 & stayed at the BW Atlantic Beach Resort for 1 week after driving down from Orlando. The lobby is great, spotlessly clean with friendly staff, check in was a breeze & our room was ready on arrival (1pm). We had a room with a balcony on the 9th floor with a partial ocean view - more than satisfactory. The rooms are adequate but in desperate need of updating with drawers stiff & difficult to open, the bathroom door didn't close properly & the metal around the sliding wardrobe doors was rusty (they are just a few to mention). Oo I should state too that the carpets in the room & also along the corridors need a proper deep clean! The pool area is great & the location to the boardwalk & beach is second to none! Around & about, there is a fab Italian just 2 mins walk away (Carrabas), there is Primo's Market & Café just across the road - excellent breakfast pastries & lunch items & perfect for buying beer! Lincoln Road Mall is approx. 25 mins walk away but worth going on an eve, we walked there & got either the bus or a cab back. You must take an airboat ride on the Everglades & visit Bayside Marketplace (the bus takes you straight there) & Aventura Mall has a Cheesecake Factory (delicious)! Overall, a lovely trip & we didn't let anything at the hotel spoil our stay.

« Great stay with my family. »

This hotel is very well located at a busy street with nearby restaurants, pharmacy, car rentals, liquor stores, bus stop, etc., is a safe area to walk at any time. It is beach front (public), very nice, clear water, with board walk, you can rent an umbrella and a pair of beach chairs for $35.00 a day (I didn't, I bought one at Walgreens for $20.00); the only thing: beware at night don´t leave your belongins alone, because I was robbed, someone took my cellphone and money from my wallet. The pool is a bit small, but it was never crowded. I agree with other reviewers saying that the rooms are outdated, like a 90's decoration, but I didn´t mind because our room was clean and comfortable beds. Also, we were fortunate to get our room at 1:00 pm, even that check in is at 4:00 pm. Friendy staff, the concierge is very helpfull too. You can reserve several tours at the hotel or a car. They have a restaurant inside the hotel aswell. It doesn´t have parking eighter, but you can park at a public one. There´s a Walgreens pharmacy nearby, dunkin donuts, subway restaurant, several restaurants arround. There´s also a cafe where you can buy hot food, fruit, breakfast, groceries, clothes, beach gear, etc., at about 1/2 block. Very convenient, good taste and very reasonable prices (try the "empanadas"). The shuttle service to take you to the airport is $35.00 (up to 4 people)

    « Bad surprise »

My family and i arrived at this hotel from Orlando in 18th Aug by car (the day wrote this review). After driving 3 hours the first surprise was that the hotel didn't have parking available. The attendant told me that i could choose to park at another hotel of their brand some miles of distance of there, or use a public parking. In both cases i have to come back or go to these parking by myself. The second point i would like to write here is about the difference between the photos i have seen in the sites and the real status of the rooms. It appears to be a photoshop work because while in the websites the rooms look like to be new, the room are really very old. The bathroom, the room's carpet, the furniture and walls appears to be not well conserved. A feeling of being disgusting cause of the terrible smell, shabby appearance and perception of not well cleaned carpet.

    « Just About Average »

This property is like a regular Best Western budget property. It is not walkable distance from South Beach or Downtown Miami (the former is where all the tourist action mainly is) but the biggest plus is that it has it's own beach. It is located on the quieter Miami Beach and has a massive boardwalk that pretty much encapsulates the entire beach. Stay here if you want to hang out essentially at the quieter beach. Miami is not a walking city due its excessive heat (especially in the summer) so we were forced to spend a considerable amount hiring Uber taxis and local yellow cabs to explore Downtown Miami, South Beach, Ocean Drive as well as Haulover Beach. The breakfast is spread is just about average, with regular breakfast paraphernalia. Julian Velez who is in charge of the restaurant is gracious and hospitable. The wi-fi is free and quick. The reception service and staff are average. Another plus is the Primo cafe located bang opposite the hotel so at least our dinners and department stores items were easily taken care of. Stay here only if you don't want to be at South Beach or Ocean Drive. The decor of the hotel and rooms are average at best and it has a decent pool as well a fitness centre.

The General Manger greeted us on arrival, later she send us fruit and water to our room. What a great gesture!!! thank you so much for making us feel so special. « One Night Only »

One of the worst BW for this Platinum Member. No hot water, dirty HVAC outlets, worn room facility, parking either $34 and 1.5 blocks away or $8 and 3 blocks away. Price of room reflects quality, even though located on Collins Ave.

my husband and I planned a quick getaway to Miami beach and found this hotel online. We booked an ocean front room with a balcony. The view was amazing! Having coffee in the balcony every morning looking at the ocean was priceless. The room needs some updating but we were told that they are remodeling. Overall, the staff was very attentive and we received a lot of little extras which we really appreciated. Will definitely be back!

« Hotel in need of major renovations »

The hotel is in need of major renovations. The hotels smells of carpet powder to cover up the mildew, smells. The sliding door to balcony was hard to slide. Beds were too hard. Bathtub needed to be replaced or glazed. Carpet was smelly in elevators, halls, and rooms. Rooms were more like an old outdated motel. Was overcharged on my card for the rate that I booked. I did not stay, checked out shortly after I checked in.

  • 3
    « Okay »

The hotel is nice and it is one of the best options if you're planning to stay in Miami just for a couple days. I went with my family. The rooms are nice too and have all the basic stuff that you could need.

« Amazing hotel, friendly staff, perfect location- All you need for a beach vacation! »

From the moment i checked in, the lobby was air conditioned and smelled amazing. They had such nice and helpful, along with very friendly staff. The hotel is connected to the beach by the pool at the back, which has a beach view to it as well. It is not even 2 min walk to the beach. The rooms are cleaned and air conditioned. It is a very short bus ride, or a 20 min or so walk to Lincoln road mall, straight down the road. It is in close connection to food, shops, and stores and more. The close proximity it is to the beach, pool, and shops would be the reason i stay here again.

    « Horrible stay »

My reservation request was for late arrival and an upper room. When we checked in the manager stated that my room was given to some one else and the only room left was on the ground. The room was facing the a wall with steps no view at all. He stated that because of this he would give us free breakfast. Well, breakfast is nothing when it come to a room that had a hot living room and all you see is steps. I stated to the manager that I could have gone to Quality Inn and gotten free breakfast. I made this reservation months ago with the assurance that we would have a pleasant visit which we did not. I informed that I was a rewards member and he said this an independently owned and operated. I then said that I was going to write an review and he acted as if he didn't care . So, that was the beginning of my vacation.

    1
    « Unbelievable »

As a best western rewards member I was not impressed at all with this hotel. Which was supposed to be the highlight of our Miami stay. Toilet ran all night, bathroom door was sticking, no breakfast, no bathroom supplies and the biggest issue was the guy at the front desk. After multiple attempts of security trying to reach him he finally comes strolling off the elevator, 20 mins later without a care in the world. We had a tour bus to catch, check out and store our luggage that morning. He didn't care. I'd never stay again nor recommend this hotel to anyone. Not a happy traveler.

    3
    « Disappointed »

I have stayed at other Best Westerns and am a Rewards Member. I booked this hotel on prior experiences with BW. However, I was disappointed. Breakfast was not included. It was offered at the same rate as other nearby eateries. There was a substantial parking fee for every day. One day our room was not cleaned until late afternoon but no clean towels were left. My husband had to ask for towels. The housekeeper told me hand towels were still in the laundry. Well-clean towels shouldn't be my problem. This hotel needs to be refreshed.

    « VERY DISSAPOINTED VISIT »

5 of us stayed at this hotel. First of all we had to wait til exactly 4pm to check in. We feel the staff should have had a room ready way before that!!!!! Then we paid $32 a night to park and had to worry everytime we left and came back, if we would have a space (that our SUV) would fit into. The space were so small and very few of them!!!!! Next the WIFI made us log back in everytime. I have never experienced that at other hotel chains. I don't think we will every select this hotel to stay at and will never recommend it to friends or family Very disappointed. We usually go to Miami 1 a year for a vacation. Now we know never to stay at this hotel again!!!!

On arrival there was balloons, champs real flowers and sweets in our room. Restaurant food was perfect . Pools was lovely and again spotless. Here you get your sun beds allocated at the beginning of Beach. Which I think works well. Staff were always helpful and polite. Location of the hotel was fantastic with just a short walk along sea front to centre of South Beach. Beautiful views from this hotel. A massive thank you to Ileana from Housekeeping super polite with all our petitions at night , To all thank you for making our Honeymoon perfect. We will defiantly return to this hotel.

    « Don't do it!!! »

This is the worst hotel ever!!! You're charged for everything! The continental breakfast is $8. Parking is $32 a day and is always full, why you ask? Because the closest parking is four blocks away and still $8 every time you leave. Can not pay for all day parking. Hotel staff is the worst. No one speaks English. We arrived late 10pm and all the coke machines were out of order. When I asked were I could get a coke or bottle of water I was directed two blocks east. My son and nephew went down to the lobby 30 mins later to go explore the beach. They actually discovered another coke machine around the corner of the front desk. I guess the icing on the cake was the hairy strawberry in the room upon arrival. I've attached the picture!!

« Great View / Poor Customer Service »

If you like paying for parking $32/night at the hotel your staying at, then this is the place for you. Nice boardwalk behind the pool and the beach is very close. The bar on the 4th floor is not so good. I was craving a nice cold margarita and it was the worse I've ever had. I was shocked that no one seems to know how to make drinks in Miami and no one speaks English. I wont be back!!!

    « Misleading information »

DO NOT... I repeat DO NOT stay here. Customer service is horrible. Alejandro, the "manager" at the time of our check-in failed to fulfill customer's requests. After reading reviews I was reluctant in booking but went ahead anyways because I have stayed at several BW in California and have had positive experiences. However I was mistaken as soon as I stepped foot into the place. When I booked this room I originally booked an ocean view room with a balcony, but then the rep told me for a little more I can book a suite with ocean view and balcony. I was traveling with my husband and two boys so I thought it would better meet our needs. I asked for one on a high floor. She took my reservation. Fast forward to check in. After being through airports all day and arriving in the evening, Alejandro checked us in to a "suite" on the 4th floor that was really outdated, dark, stain on carpet, smelled musky, and had a view of the parking garage. I retuned right away and explained to him this was not what was promised. He told me that since I booked the reservations online with the BW main sight I was given the correct information and put the blame on them. He refused to change our room but did offer to give us a refund. We took the refund and got the heck out of there. I felt I was totally mislead and this place is too shady. I did not get that welcome feeling at all and was really disappointed with the whole situation. We ended up finding a place next door with better customer service. I have stayed at BW many times. This by far is the worst one. It's sad because the location is awesome. With an upgrade on customer service and an update to this hotel, this place could be great place!

    « Very Disappointed. »

During a recent Family Holiday in South Florida my family and I stayed in this hotel. I am a wheelchair user and I had booked the Accessible room and bathroom. There was 4 in our party. Myself and my wife and a 20 year old son and 19 year old daughter. The apartment had two queen beds in the bedroom and a pull-out sofa bed. The accessible bathroom was only OK. When you ran the shower the water ran out all over the bathroom as far as the door, and going by the carpet outside, it had run out on a few occasions. We used most of our towels soaking it all up. The room needed an upgrade. Stained carpet and mould in places. We didn`t have much interaction with the staff except for check in which was fine and the chap that checked us in even gave us the access code for the back door which had a ramp which was hand for my hired mobility scooter. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on the first night which was very nice. We didn`t have breakfast in the hotel. There are plenty of places very near the hotel to eat. The hotel is ideally located for beach lovers as all you have to do is go out the back door of the hotel and you are on the boardwalk and then onto Miami South Beach. I felt that the Hotel was very expensive for what we got but I suppose if the Hotel is more or less on the beach, they can charge what they like. I don`t think I`ll be back.

    « View incredible/Poor housekeeping/customer service »

I guess you get what you pay for!! Very poor customer service! People should just be thankful for their jobs and try to enjoy it while they have to work and treat their guests with respect and not like they are stupid!! Housekeeping is very poor. You have to beg to receive towels/wash clothes. When calling the front desk to get towels, they act like you did something wrong. On one day they would not pick up the phone, I guess they were tired of us calling to get towels!! One day we did not receive housekeeping at all, someone had placed the "quiet please" on the outside of the door(housekeeping did). I asked to speak to the manager and she was very rude!! The supervisor had to clean our room and give us towels because housekeeping were gone for the day! The very first day of arrival we couldn't slide the balcony door so maintenance came up and they sprayed something on the door but it didn't help. All we got was their is nothing I can do about it!! View was awesome though! I highly do not recommend this hotel!!

    « Stay away! »

I will start with the pros: the location is great, it is a bit far from south beach, but the boardwalk is right there and in 30 minutes you are there. It is really waterfront, and the beach is great! Breakfast buffet is good for 15 dollars. Now the cons, which are bad, because im not a picky person and travel a lot, i stayed in the 6th floor, which smells of weed, that carpet in the hallway is disgusting, which makes the carpet in the room disgusting as well, with stains and such. The cleaning lady never came to clean our room the next day. I requested, begged for towels and they never came. Mind you, i was with my wife,3 yo and 3 month old, begging for towels and a clean room.bi finally went downstairs after dinner and got some towels from a dude who never looked concerned or bothered by my complaints. 2 days later, the lady came to clean our room, only to sweep the crumbs of chips and all the dirt to the hallway and never puck it up. I dont think they know of vacuums at that hotel. Guy at the pool bar looked pissed, although he does mix a great caipirinha. Overall, its a no no for me again at this hotel.

« Amazing View, Staff underwhelming »

We were only there for 1 night, the view was amazing from our room and we could walk right to the boardwalk or beach, but those were the only pluses. The room was in pretty bad shape, the bathroom door stuck and I had trouble getting out of it, there was rust on the metal portions of the room and there was mold in the shower. We did have great service in the restaurant, but the lady at the front desk when we arrived was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Very dismissive of us (we arrived early due to our flight) and was not helpful with regards to helping store luggage or offer any recommendations of what to do until our room was ready. We did end up getting our luggage stored but with no help from her. The gentleman that actually checked us in was quite friendly however. Overall it was a poor experience and well inexpensive, I wouldn't recommend it.

    « Birthday Celebration »

We got in super early and was really appreciative that we were able to check in early, it really made the beginning of our vacation run smoothly. The reception area was clean and pleasant, The pool area very relaxing, and having the beach a few steps away made it even more perfect. Would definitely stay here again!

« Disgusting hotel! Do not stay here! »

After reading the mixed reviews, my husband and I still decided to stay at the Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort with our children. We thought the price was reasonable, and we could live with the furnishings needed a little updating, but we were not prepared for what we found! When we first entered the room, the overwhelming smell of antiseptic greeted us. The carpet was filthy, torn, and badly stained. The couch was worse! We tried to turn the cushions over to find a "clean" side--we couldn't. Upon pulling out the sleeper sofa (intended for our children) we found food, dirty tissues, and no sheets, just a stained mattress. After contacting the front desk manager he agreed to send up a roll away bed for the kids. The manager refused to come and look at the room himself and told us that housekeeping would take care of it. He also refused to refund our money if we left. After returning back to the room, we found bugs crawling all over the nightstand and headboard of the bed, along with mold on the headboard. The balcony of the room had doors that did not lock and were covered in trash. We were also concerned with security because they have a permanent sign in the lobby warning guests to not order food from the flyers found in the room because they were a scam. While we were there a short period of time, two flyers were pushed under our door advertising for food establishments. We decided that we could not stay here and made the decision to leave. The manager did eventually refund our money after we told him about the bugs in our room. We are in shock that Best Western and a health inspector can allow this hotel to remain in business! This is the first time we've ever had to leave a hotel and try to make others arrangements. Do not stay here!

    « LOUD!!! »

We still have been here 2 nights, we have 4 more to go and we are already ready to leave. The guests are extremely loud at all hours so we have gotten no sleep at all. On stop of that the staff is also very loud, going up and down the hallways singing, slamming doors etc. The heat does not work in our room at all. After 10 minutes in the dirty hair filled shower the water was to my ankles. Also the parking is $35 a night which is ridiculous, on top the that there are only a limited amount of space to park because they have multiple trailers with jet skis taking up a large space. So if all the spaces are taken you have to wait to park. Lastly, the whole hotel has a very strong smell of cleaning supplies enough to give you a head ache, yet our room was dirty?! We normally stay at best western when we travel every 6 months but after this never again!!! Spend the couple extra dollars and stay elsewhere. NOT HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

« Not Impressed What So Ever. »

We arrived to find out there was a $200 dollar hold and $35 dollars a night for parking, which I booked through priceline and compare prices to this site and did not see that stated anywhere. The parking was taken both nights I was there and I had to pay $40 a night else where down the street. I tried to use the bathroom on the main floor and every toilet had bowel movements in it. I told management and he said the ladies guest are complaining about the restroom, so therefore I did not eat or drink one thing in the entire hotel. I watched two days of the pool not get cleaned. I was just not impressed, my room had a cigarette burn hole in the chair and someone put out a cigarette on the wall and it was not all that clean. There were ants in my bed. Just not too much good to say..

« Thank you for a Great Stay »

Very happy with our room ,had a balcony to the ocean view. We loved it, thank you. We had room service breakfast and it was very delicious. Housekeeping was great, loved the way they cleaned our room.

    « Very Happy »

We were concerned by the number of negative reviews we read about this hotel however we found them to be totally unwarranted. The hotel was clean,,our room was ready before the check in time and was very nice. The restaurant (we had breakfast) was efficiently run with the quality of the food good. I would definitely stay there again.

« Hotel needs to be updated »

Hotel decor is very out-dated. Room temperature was extremely hot and damp. Beds are full - need to be upgraded to queens. Location was the best part of this hotel. No Jacuzzi - pool is small. Breakfast buffet is pricey and not very tasty.

« Best Western is Great »

Excellent value, service, cleanliness, and care! We loved our stay! The hotel has a great feel it. There are places to sit and relax in the lobby and it is decorated very nicely. The rooms are very nice! You have to go a few steps and there is a pool and boardwalk. The ocean can be seen from the windows. My husband and I loved our stay! We highly recommend this fine hotel!

    « Confused were to stay, so I did a Pre-write up »

Dear Readers, This is a Pre-write up, before even going to the Hotel. Make a long story short, we are planning to go to Florida for a week, two days in Miami and 4 other cities. Moving on, I want to say how hard it was/is to choose a Hotel, because of the reviews. Though they were helpful, made it that much harder to pick. So I decided to call the Hotel and speak with someone. I happen to get the GM(Barbara), very nice, very honest and strait forward talker. My opinion, those who are or was in the hospitality industry, like I was are, I feel are, Critics. We know it all and what is expected. So my suggestion, if you are not sure about a place, call the Hotel and ask to speak with someone, see if that helps in your decision making, to stay or not. Thanks Barbara I think I will stay for two nights, not just one @ Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort. Will keep you Hotel seekers posted on my stay for the Post-write up. Jack

    « Miami Vacation »

The Hotel has reasonable rates with a restaurant onsite swimming pool and easy access to the beach. It also has a fitness center and a laundry room. Also the 150 Metro bus to the airport stops and picks up one block from the hotel with a cost of $2.65 each way

    « Overall is good. »

Food at Aqua Restaurant is quite nice. Made-to-order omelette is my favourite for breakfast. However, there is not much range. The location is right at the middle beach, easy to access. 30 minutes away from city centre (Lincoln Road) by walking. The beach is very nice.

    « Best Hotel »

After reading all the reviews I was scared that this hotel was not like the pictures shown. But I would have to say I had a good experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly .One staff helped bringing are luggage to the room. The only down side was that are flight was early and so we had to wait until 4 to check in and they cleaned are rooms at 3-4 pm every night so it was difficult to get ready for dinner. My family and i had a room that was off to the side so we didn't have a ocean view but it was fine since it was a good walking distance anyways. I would recommend everyone to stay here. I would stay at this hotel again if I'm traveling to Miami.

    « Miami Beach's Faulty Towers »

his was by far and away my worst ever Best western experience. The front desk staff lacked professionalism and someone should train them to smile. I had to book in twice as the trainee didn't note that l booked in early before leaving to do some work, how a trainee is left on his own is strange, he had to go and find someone to help him twice. I reported that the toilet seat was broken (twice) and nothing was done over five days. I am used to free breakfasts at Best Western's and find this to be one of the attractions of using the chain, this can be seen by the fact that l am a diamond member, l did ask a lady at the desk about this but she was unable to advise why we didn't receive this while others did. The internet continually dropped out and the business centre is run on windows XP which made it impossible to connect to websites and attend to work or future bookings. Added to this there were small things that were disappointing - no guest directory in the room, after being out all day and twice when returning to our room at 4.00 pm it had not been cleaned so as we tried to shower and dress to go out for dinner we had staff wanting to clean the room. To top this off we went to the pool side bar for a drink before dinner and waited 8 minutes - yes 8 minutes while the barman carried out a general conversation with another couple, in that time he didn't pour one drink, great service.

« Horrible stay at Best Western Atlantic Beach »

Rooms are hot as an oven as the owner/management will not upgrade and units are old and not able to cool the ocean front rooms due to the sun shining on the windows. Rooms do not cool down and it is miserable to sleep. Internet does not work on side rooms. Staff is rude. Housekeeping is poor.

    « Terrible Resort »

I book 2 ocean front rooms. Outside the room there is a vendor machine and 1 ice maker. Both machine's engine are so noisy, special the ice maker which fall the ice in every half hour. The bomb expansion sounds and customers bought drink sounds made us waked up at night time. We compliant to the front desk and they said that its are normal, we could not exchange the rooms. After the trip I complained with Resort manager, she said if I book the resort again, email to her and she will arrange some quiet room to me.

    3
« Did not meet my Expectations! »

Room was outdated but clean. Parking in hotel garage overpriced. Restaurant food was tasty but over priced and you are expected to pay a tip even if you do not eat within the restaurant. I was scam out of $30 by food vendor soliciting bussiness. Flyers were pushed under my room door each night. I doubt if I would patronize this Best Western on my next visit to Miami Beach.

    « Overnight Stay »

the good: Awesome location, right on the beach. on site restaurant, full buffet breakfast $15.00 quiet room basic functioning in room equipment, clean the bad: not enough blankets for price, would expect better coffee in room... parking very expensive ($35) and VERY tight (we have a mini van) when we arrived at 2am ! nobody at front desk, doors open (hello security) took him a few minutes to help us the hotel has a pool/fitness, view on beach... no opinion on any of that since we did not use any of the facilities. Would I recommend to a friend, I guess so, because location is really fantastic. night clerk, not very professional but on site breakfast, employees, very courteous and professional.

    « Such a disappointment »

Having stayed at Best Western hotels before, my family of 4 anticipated a nice, comfortable stay at a nice facility. Not what we got. The room was old looking, outdated, sad. We were told we reserved an Oceanview room but we got a view of the lobby roof instead. There was a balcony with no chairs and lots of ants. The bathroom wasn't in great shape and had rusty looking gunk on the bottom of the door frame. The staff wasn't especially friendly. We walked by several staff who never acknowledged us. The one exception to this was the concierge (who notified us our card key was linked to a room different than what we were told) and was able to recommend a great local restaurant. There was no direct access to the $32 a night parking garage in the back. They offered wifi but the connection was terrible. We initially had 4 nights booked here but left after one. One night was enough for us to go and honestly, we wanted to leave almost immediately. For what this particular hotel charges, it leaves much to be desired.

« one night in South Beach »

My room did not have hot water, when I told the front desk their response was 'no one else complained about it' and then the attendant disregarded me. I have been at this hotel 3 times and I was very upset by the response. Not Happy with this hotel now

« After checked out, you still can get the access card to use pool, access to beach, storage you laggage. »

It is very convenient to parking your car in public parking only USD$8/day within walking distance. It is very good location to walk to Lincoln road mall. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very safe to access to beach.

« Good Stay at the Beachfront »

Hotel is conveniently located very near to beach which is at an advantage for beachgoers. Pricing is decent not too expensive. Hotel was neat and clean. The room we opted for had a great ocean view which added to the pleasant stay we had at Miami. The only problem we faced was during check in. I understand the room was not ready as we were before time. It was a long wait and I would have appreciate if they had expedited the process after the checkout of previous guest at 12. We got the room at 3PM. Overall the stay was fine and checkout was hassle free.

« Very good for the price we paid »

this one I got for roughly 160$ per night for a beach front room and we stayed for 2 nights. for this price, I believe, this was very good deal. great thing is that they allow their pool towels to beach so no need to worry about carrying a beach towel and there is direct access to beach from the hotel... not sure about the restaurant in the hotel as there were plenty of options to try outside...! on the negative side, there is no parking lot but there is government parking with in 5 mins of walk which charges 8$ per day. not to mention, wi-fi signal in room was very week and there was no signal from the carrier also... :(

    « Hotel experience »

Unfortunately the initial check in and greet was terrible. Alejandro at front desk was very Rude. Make sure you call and confirm reservations even if and when you use a travel site. We reserved an ocean view snd got the garage and trash view. Room was basic.

« Top Floor, Oceanfront Room, Balcony, Miami Beach, Awesome!! »

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before we left on our cruise from the Port of Miami. This hotel was an excellent choice! It's right on the beach. We booked on their website and asked for a higher up floor and oceanfront room since we were celebrating our anniversary. Even though they couldn't guarantee it, they gave us the top floor (a/k/a the penthouse floor), oceanfront room. The view was amazing as you can see in our pictures. We loved our balcony! We had the breakfast buffet, which the food was good. We lounged by the pool and had great umbrella drinks from the pool bar. In the pool area they had a life size chess game and Connect 4 game. The kids seemed to enjoy playing those. There's a boardwalk behind the hotel that you can walk on. It runs between the hotels and the beach. It goes for miles up and down Miami Beach. We enjoyed walking on it. Lots of people jogged and biked on it. We also came across a few people selling coconuts and fruits on the boardwalk too. The beach was beautiful. We went in April and it was windy and, to this Florida girl, the water was still cold. Thankfully, I brought a jacket and wore that most of the time. The staff at the hotel were always pleasant and very helpful. The room had the standard stuff, free wi-fi, coffee maker, tv, alarm clock, safe, little fridge in the closet, king size bed. The bathroom items they supplied were shampoo, body wash, lotion, disposable razors, shaving cream, shower caps, soaps, disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste. We arrived and checked in late and were tired so we picked up dinner at the Subway restaurant which is across the street from the hotel, on the bottom floor of another hotel. This was our first time in Miami Beach. The cons are: the area is very busy with cars and buses and people, as with all of Miami Beach. We drove our car there. We found the drivers in the area to be impatient. The hotel gave us two options for parking. We could park in a parking garage about a block away and pay $32.00 a night (that's the garage's hotel discount) or we could walk across a busy road and also across a waterway to park for $8.00 a night. We chose the garage for $32.00 a night. The garage charges you every time you leave so if you keep entering and exiting, it can get expensive. We chose to just leave our car in the garage for our two nights there. I'll post a pic of the garage fees. If we were there longer, we may have taken the bus that goes up and down the beach. There's a hop on-hop off double decker bus that you can take also for a fee. We only had one full day there so we just walked around. There's restaurants in the hotels, including a Carrabba's Italian restaurant that is a few blocks away. A few blocks away is a liquor store also. It's not that cheap though. The port is not far from the hotel so when you're on the beach, you can see the cruise ships heading out into the Atlantic Ocean on their voyages around 4:30-5:00 in the evenings. Our check out was quick and easy and when we checked out, we drove to the port and left our car at the port while we were on our cruise. I didn't see it listed anywhere when we made the reservation, but the hotel also charges a security deposit to your credit card when you check in and releases it shortly after you check out. I don't remember the amount but I believe it was around $100.00-$200.00. Ask them about it. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay at the hotel again!

    « Ocens front..good price »

Folks...this isn't a luxury hotel...and it's not a dump either...what it is , is a national flagged ocean front older full service hotel...if you need the free breakfast if you got to see your car 24 7...this isn't for you...if you want a relatively value priced beach hotel just outside of South beach...come on down. Here's what you get...a small room by today's standards (come on remember it's an older property)...yes the a/c is a bit clunky...but it works.. yes the bathroom is small...however the room was clean (no I didn't do a black light test) ...the bed was adequate...the staff was friendly...the parking was minimal in size and number and is $32 a night...the pool is small but nice...oh yeah and the beach is 20 yards from the pool. Overall this is a good value for your hard earned dollar.

    « Value Stop Over »

We stayed here for 1 night prior to a cruise holiday and enjoyed the stay which was comfortable and convenient for us. The room was a good size and the hotel is situated well. The staff were helpful and with the beach so close it was nice to venture out. Would stay again.

    « Miami Beach stopover »

My wife an I used this hotel as a stop-over before flying back to the UK from Miami Intl. Hotel is conveniently located being less than a half hour from the airport even in rush hour. We had a king Ocean view room and the view was fantastic, the room decor and fixtures were a bit dated and although all the important areas bed and bathroom were very clean and well presented a good dusting hadn't been done in a while..

« Better Service for the Money »

My stay was not the greatest. Due to the amount of money this property charges... it should have been a lot better. The keys kept deactivating on their own. There was lots of noise on my floor in which I was asked to be moved. It was terrible.

    3
« Good for the price »

The negative:The Rooms were not so great. Our room carpet was all torn. I could hear everything from the room next door. The positive-the service was good and the beach access was great. So average rating.

    « One night only. »

We have stayed at a few different Best Western properties before and we signed up for their rewards program. Every property is different. This one does not offer free breakfast. I started to read some of the reviews after we booked the room and they were not great but we were only literally staying here for one night. When you first drive up to the hotel it was really busy and I did not know what to expect. The hotel lobby was big and a bit impressive with so many people walking around, very diverse clientele. Checking in was pretty easy and quick. Once we got out key cards we went directly to the elevator to go to our room. It's obvious that this property is very busy, if you think about the amount of people that churn through this place, it really wasn't that bad. The hallways were clean with decent carpets. If you look too hard you will of course see flaws. Our room had 2 full beds. I found the little refrigerator and safe ($2.00 safe charge used or not), hair dryer and iron inside the closet. We did not get a room by the beach but on our balcony we can see the beach. They do have a small pool and pool bar which was meh. Their gym was pretty small but usable. They offer parking but it's very limited. They charge about $32.00 a day. They don't have that many spots. Make sure you confirm that there is really still parking available (no refunds). Just because you pay for parking it is not guaranteed that you will get a spot. There is street parking and other parking garages around but when we went looking they were filled and it was about $40 a day. The beach traffic was annoying because there was so much of it so maneuvering around was frustrating. We were told that there was a Public Parking Garage which was located in ?New York City? lingo about 3 blocks away for a whopping $8.00 a day and that's where we parked. All in all our one night stay at this budget hotel turned out to be OK. I found it sort of funny that menus and flyers were thrown into our room under the door a few times and we were only staying for one night can you imagine the collection we could have gotten if we stayed longer. We had a good experience, plus found a few new potential cheap eats places

    « Girlfriends weekend »

I have read a lot of reviews that were not very flattering. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. This is nice modest budget friendly beach front resort. Other than the terrible hallway carpet and the tiny pool area it was really nice. The lobby area is nouveau chic and rooms are spacious and nicely decorated.

    « OCEANVIEW »

There are lots of negative views here..I will give you my experience..! Check in time is definitely 4pm..We arrived early and killed some time at the pool..Our room was clean..had a small fridge..coffee machine and a safe (For which we did not pay extra)..With a glimps of an ocean view..It was a side unit..Everything in the room worked well..TV..Remote..Hair dryer..full size ironing board and Iron..Plenty of hot water..with a descent shower head and enough water pressure..A/C noise was limited..These are points I look for..!! I did not like the Aqua restaurant at all..It flourishes for breakfast at $16. per person..But the quality of the dinner meal is a wast of money.. I booked this hotel through a 3rd party and did not qualify for any discounts like AAA or AArp..I paid more per night than what I should have If booked directly ..Wifi worked great..Uber is very active in the area..From the hotel to the airport is was round $10. Do Not Take A Cab..that will cost you $40+ so be aware..I have plenty more to say..but there is a limit on the characters...

« Get an Ocean Front. »

Highly recommend an ocean front room. We would have gone crazy in any other room. This is a good to avarage choice if your on a budget. Its a close walk to the Fountainblu hotel. The beach is amazing. I had the worst margarita at the best western pool side bar.

    « Worst place I've ever stayed »

The room was damp and dirty. There was a vent on the ceiling in the hallway that dripped continuously. The carpet was stained and soaked. Bathroom needed new everything. The pool area wasn't bad. It was a nice place to sit and have lunch. The boardwalk to the beach is conveniently located.

« Customer service very bad... »

Stayed here for couple of nights in March. Confirmation was saying $228 but they charged us $232... not big deal. We asked what for is it and were told for the safe in the room. Fair play but there was no safe in the room. So we went to the reception and were told we can leave our valuables in there... ??? Oferred another room to change..., so went to have a look and decided to stay in previous room but reception checked somebody else in already..??? Girlfriend tried to speak to manager and he was not interested...told reception staff to sort it out. Charged $50 per night extra in case we cook in the room or bring pets... it took almost a months for money to come back to my account. By the way they offer shuttle bus for $35 for a couple and about 5 meters to the right from the hotel there is a pubic bus for about $4...

    « Wonderful location »

Chose this hotel randomly on line and so glad we did. Yes the building is older and perhaps the guest room isn't trendy, but the rooms are very clean, the staff, from housekeeping, front desk and food & beverage are friendly and welcoming. All were a pleasure to interact with. Had booked an ocean front view and that's exactly what we got. So wonderful to be greeted by that view each day. The breakfast buffet (which isn't included) was fantastic. Beach & boardwalk are right behind the property. Many dining and entertainment options available nearby or easily accessible by transit. Definitely would return. Only regret was that our 3 night stay was far too short.

« Hidden gem on Miami Beach »

Over the years, we've gone many times to Miami Beach, often staying in the South Beach area. However, prices have been skyrocketing for the last several years and it's difficult to find a beachfront hotel for anything less than $300 a night. Friends of ours stayed at the BW Atlantic Beach Resort last year and we were very impressed with the place, so this year, we booked in there, staying for 4 nights for less than $200 a night (tax included!). We stayed in a beautiful corner room with a panoramic view and wraparound balcony and couldn't imagine staying anywhere so close to the beach with such a lovely view. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The place is older, but well-maintained and comfortable. Getting to the beach is very simple and their pool area is very nice (although we opted to go to the beach instead). There are some very good dining options in the area, and taking the bus to other parts of Miami Beach is very fast and easy. If you're a snob and crave an "address", then by all means pay your $600 a night and stay elsewhere, but for good value, this Best Western is hard to beat!

« Good Beach Location. Nice Staff »

Stayed 3 nights just after Easter. Received nice welcome from reception. Given a room with side sea view on floor 8. Nice view and balcony, but the room had seen better days and, like the rest of the hotel, could use a bit of TLC. For example, lock on balcony doors was broken, carpet stained. We could easily ignore these, but the big problem was with the air conditioning. It was uncontrollable: either on or off. Temperature could not be changed from the setting of around 67F. So the choice was between being warm and humid, or uncomfortably cold. It was no pleasure to sit in the room. After the first night of 3, we asked for blankets, which were willingly provided. The hotel has a large lively lobby, with a restaurant, and a bar upstairs, which lacked nice ambiance. The sound insulation was not brilliant. Most noise came from other guests talking or running in the corridor. A few notices asking guests to be quiet strategically placed in the lifts and corridors might be useful. No guest information folder in room. Housekeeping servicing of room was a bit erratic in terms of towels, bath mats , face cloths supplied. Good points were the availability of a safe, superb coffee provided in the room, extremely rapid response from the maintenance staff, and helpful concierge and reception. Masses of storage for clothes. Excellent wi-fi. The hotel has direct access to the boardwalk, and there is a good bus service to South Beach from a block away. Breakfast opportunities other than in the hotel are few, but there is a useful bakery/convenience store across the street. A few nice restaurants within a few blocks. Concierge will arrange taxis and shuttle to airport or port. Enjoyed the location, but would have enjoyed it more if the room had been more comfortable.

    « What a PLACE!! »

This was my first time to visit Miami Beach and I can say that this was a great decision to stay at the BW Atlantic Beach. We only had one of our kids traveling with us and she had a wonderful time on the beach! The only thing I wish was different is the parking! Lots of cars in a small area.

This is an OK hotel. Don't expect any kind of luxuries here. I only stayed the night here because my friend was here and had an extra bed. The bed was comfortable but that's about it. The staff at the desk were very helpful and friendly. This place needs a serious remodel and there was some kind of issue with the pool. I'm not a pool man but it smelled funny. Quickly showered that off.

« Expensive for bad rooms »

If you have dust allergies stay away from this hotel. Have carpet everywhere, I left a pen fall near the bed, I had to remove a mobile and almost died of disgust.. I think that part should never have been cleaned. They do not offer beach service, so if you want a beach chair you will have to pay 25 dollars for EACH one per day!!! The hotel price, the accomodation and the lack of beach service not worth, you don't have free parking also, so be aware of this place, I went with my family and we will not be back.

    « Another great stay »

What can I say...another (my 4th) great stay in this hotel. within budget, well looked after, great room, great views, good location. Check in was quick, the room on the top floor with a sea view was excellent, breakfast I thought compared to others was a little bit expensive but the hotel outweighed any issues. clean tidy and great staff.

« My last stay at this resort. »

My room at this BW was poorly maintained. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom showed signs of moisture problems. The air cond thermostate was broken so the air cond ran non-stop. I reported the issue to the front counter and they said, yea our rooms are pretty sad. If you feel that a 220.00 a night room and 42.00 parking per night is ghetto then the joke is on me I suppose. This was a splurge for my income.

    3
    « needs updates »

location and service great! everything else needs updating! with new carpet, better h/v system, updated pool bar, this place would be 5 stars! bathrooms were nice but carpet is musty and a/c was noisy and out of date, patio door lock not working

    « Miami Beach »

We booked 2 rooms in this hotel for a party of 6. Some of us arrived from Ft. Lauderdale airport and from Miami airport. Easy commute from either airport. It had a clean and spacious lobby, clean rooms with ocean views, on site restaurant and located on the boardwalk at mid-beach. We were walking distance from several restaurants and shops and we were able to catch a city bus close by and travel the short distance to south beach and the art deco area. We were also close to the cruise terminal and the hotel staff helped arrange the transportation for the six of us to the port.

    3
« make sure you book carefully »

this place would be nice if you had a balcony and had a room on the beach side. our room was on the street side, window barely opened and no view... customer service was average and check in is at 4pm... the room was clean and tidy but i would not stay again...

« Nothing at this hotel worked. It did not work for us. »

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two days and the end of a cruise and were extremely disappointed. Checking in was arduous as the desk staff were painfully slow. Our "upgraded" room (our "standard" room was not ready) was spacious as was our balcony with a partial view of the beach. This was largely because there was only one badly weathered plastic chair on the balcony and only one chair in the room along with two double beds, a table, and a badly scarred dresser. The safe did not work, nor did the TV. The AC could not be adjusted and had two working controls -- on and off. The room had definitely seen better days. Fortunately the toilet and shower worked, although the toilet tap leaked. The halls were noisy, smelly and littered, and all of the dispensing machines in the building were "out of order, sorry for the inconvenience". The elevators were as painfully slow as were the front desk personnel. The pool area was also a sparsely furnished hot concrete expanse with no natural foliage or shade. The pool bar was hot and had little to offer, and there was no bar service in the hotel until after 6 pm when the pool, bar closed and moved inside. On the upside, the hotel backed on to the Miami Beach boardwalk and provided towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas. As well the in-house Aqua Restaurant did provide an excellent buffet breakfast -- for a price (most Best Westerns we have stayed at provide breakfast as part of the room rate). There is very little indeed to recommend this hotel, especially with so many finer ones close by.

« May not be your Vibe! »

BW Atlantic Beach is an older hotel, but the Lobby is very nice. Rooms are older decor with mismatched upgrades and not great maintenance. Location on the beach is very good. Beachfront rooms have beautiful view. It's a South Beach vibe; not great for families, more for college, 20/30 somethings. Surrounding area is tight with condos, fancy hotels, expensive cafe's, and restaurants but not a lot to do directly by hotel, except the beach/boardwalk. Traffic is very busy on Collins Ave. in front of hotel. Driving/Parking difficult

    5
    « Great Experience »

The staff was extremely helpful, Hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious. Nice area in Collins Ave with direct exit to the beach. First time in Best Western and to be honest this property has far exceeded my expectations Overall we had a great experience

    « Well Done. »

We recently enjoyed a great experience at the BW Miami Beach. Friendly staff, great location. Fernando was very helpful with transfers and luggage. Angel and Panoma made check-in & out a breeze - very courteous.

« Not very clean, poorly maintained and poor service. »

Don't stay here. It is a poorly maintained hotel with an unfriendly staff. We were actually greeted with the word "You are too early, check in is not until 4pm". The electrical equipment is so poorly maintained that I am planning to report the hotel to the fire department. Many lights don't work and most of the plug outlets are so worn that appliances won't stay in the sockets. The only coffee available is from vending machines that don't work. The restrooms in the lobby were filthy and out of supplies. The hallway carpets weren't cleaned once during our stay and there was a massive stain on the carpet outside of our room. The owners of this hotel just don't care about it any more so you should just stay someplace else.

« Great 3 Star Oceanfront boardwalk for the price »

This is a great Oceanfront hotel. It is high at 41st st but the boardwalk makes up for it. Pros: + Oceanfront + Boardwalk + Breakfast buffet (charge) + King Suite is two full rooms and 2 baths + Nice Lobby + No crowding at pool or chair shortage + Good value. Its hard to find a room at this price in SoBe + good wifi + guest laundry Cons - a bit aged when you get off of lobby - a bit aged in the room (90s beachwood) - have to let hot water run a few minutes for it to show up - parking This is not a new construction suburban Best Western with free parking and breakfast so don't expect it. If you have not been to SoBe, the old hotels on the ocean are getting converted to $500 per night rooms. This is a decent older hotel with a facelifted lobby and great value for $200ish. I looked down the street at the Mariott Courtyard. Much nicer pool, restaurant, lobby, and hot tub. I looked up the street at Four Points Sheraton. Not as nice as the Marriott but nicer pool, lobby, and restaurant. I would go for either of those two next time. Days Inn a couple of blocks up is about the same quality. I parked over the 41st street bridge overnight (the hotel is on 41st). Street parking is free from 6pm-8am and you can prepay up to 4 hours at $1 per hour so you are good until 12. Keep your ticket and you can top up your plate just by walking over the bridge for another 4 hours. I also did two one way rentals to/from Avis on 23rd st so I only needed 2 nights of parking.

    « Good for price »

The hotel needs to be updated, it's just outdated, but it has clean sheets, towels and it's on the ocean! Make sure to get a balcony with ocean view. We went with two children (3 & 5) and it was perfect. We went to Miami to be on the beach and be in the sun, not in the hotel, so we were willing to save some money and stay here. It was not luxurious, but it was decent and the money we saved allowed us to eat more meals out, etc.

    3
« Ok for short stay »

Good staff. Perfect location, steps from the beach. Old building and aminities. Pool ok but very small. Room ok but needs to be renovate. Very noisy. I don't recommend this hotel for a couple. Expensive.

    4
« Exceed my expectations after reading reviews »

First of all this building is of an age when building standards were a lot diffent than today, we stayed twice- 3 days before our cruise and 5 days after. We had a balcony on the 9th floor ocean front, overlooking the pool. For the age of the building I expected things to be a bit worn --no so---the room was VERY CLEAN, no stains on carpet, no odd odours, the bed was fantastic. Housekeeping does a very good clean up evey. day The chek-in personnel were VERY accomidating , If we were planning to return to Miami I am sure we would stay here.

    5
« The Best Best Western in Miami »

We repeatedly have made this hotel our vacation destination as we travel to Miami. The Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort has become our "home hotel" for all such bookings. They offer excellent customer service from front desk that makes sure all details are tended to, generously offers upgrades if available and repeatedly goes the extra mile to ensure we as guests are well tended to, to housekeeping, transportation, restaurant, and concierge services. This hotel not only met, but exceeded my expectations. The staff were much more helpful than any other Miami area hotels and I have stayed at many. I recommend a look if you are planning a trip to this area. This hotel is comprised of genuinely nice and caring staff and management. You won't be disappointed with your stay! Stayed March 2016, traveled as family.

    2
« Feeling Deceived! Make sure what they consider Ocean View »

I booked a balcony with an ocean view. When we got to the room the view was the motel next door, but if you leaned out over the balcony you could see a sliver of the ocean. I complained and they moved us to a higher room with a plate glass window that over looked the air conditioning units on another motel, but from the side of the building you could see a little bit of the Ocean. What I expect of an Ocean View is not what they refer to an Ocean View.

    2
« Avoid staying at this property »

The hotel is overpriced and poorly managed. Parking which is $32.00 plus is self parking around corner underground. A charge is posted on bill for safe in room whether it is used or not! Room lacked tissues and toilet set was coming apart. Noise in adjacent room was not properly attended to after requested to tell occupants to stop at 2 AM!!

    5
« what a great, convenient oceanfront location »

having stayed here approximately 40 times over the recent decade, we can state that the location is optimal, the beach/pool/view are perfect, and the staff tries to be helpful & succeeds. We get an oceanfront room whose terrace makes one feel like you're on a cruise with nothing but sky & sea.

    4
    « Great Stay! »

It was a good stay. The pictures don't even compare to how good the place looks in person. Great service, my room had the best beach view was amazing, the staff was nice and the breakfast in the morning was bomb! Lol. I recommend anyone to stay here.

    4
    « Good find! »

We needed a new place to stay for Miami boat show because the hotel we booked was terrible. Most places were full or only had a really expensive rate like $600! We pulled into Best Western and I talked to Veletta at the desk. She made our day! She got us a room with balcony and ocean view and early check in! At a great rate. Awesome. The interior was not fancy, but clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful! All you can eat breakfast for under $20 was a really nice on site bonus. We will definitely stay there again .

    3
    « Parking »

NO PARKING , NO VALET, must park blocks away, tight check in parking, stressful - then no parking - loud hallways Lobby itself is nice, pool and beach very nice with very long boardwalk . are room nice with great ocean view, worth the extra cost.

« Another three weeks at this hotel (December 2015) »

We were blessed again with very pleasant stay at Best Western and very good weather. What made our every stay there - is people working there!! It was a real pleasure to deal with the staff at the Reception desk, consierge, cleanning, and management. They all are warm, considerate, and helpful. Special thanks to Lucy, Katiana, Juan, Veronica, Angel, and Barbara Romano. We already looking forward for next stay planned for December 2016!!

« Very nice COZY hotel »

Just left after spending over 2 weeks in the hotel. The rooms were nice, not fancy but adaquate. The bed was comfortable , the pillows were not ! They actually were quite strange , they had a bunch of small pillows , no standard or queen size . The rooms and hallways have an odd smell a very flowery cleaner that if you are at all allergic it can be a problemm . There were a few problems checking in , room had to be changed a few times but in the end had a nice room with a king size bed . The staff were very nice and try very hard to handle any situation that came up . Specifically Angel and Julio, both were very accomadating and Angel was very available. The location is very convienient , easy to get a taxi buses right outside.. The boardwalk and beach are lovely , he pool deck is nice , however the pool is small and there are not enough lounge chairs on the deck. But all in all I very much enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back!

    2
    « not what I was expecting »

For the price per night at this hotel, approx. $350.00, it was HORRIBLE. We were given a suite on the 4th floor, which is actually the 2nd. View of a glass wall, slight view of ocean. No hot water, hairdryer started smoking, setting of smoke alarm, musty smelling. The only bright spot was the WONDERFUL bartender in the "4th" floor bar, Ray.

    5
    « Very nice stay »

Great overall stay, the room was comfortable and clean, we had an amazing ocean view Perfect location, the hotel itself is directly on the beach Entire staff was very friendly, felt very welcomed there I would stay there again

    3
    « So-So Experience »

Hotel claims it is AAA Four Diamond, but it didn't feel or look like it. Room was infested with fruit flies. Housekeeping staff was responsive. They sprayed the room and re-did the linen on the bed. However, it didn't resolve the issue completely. We still observed flies the entire weekend. Another guest had ants in the bathroom while we were there.

    1
    « filthy, tired building. »

Travelling with 3 children and my wife we were first given a room on the ground floor that was next to the service elevator, the ice machine, the Coke machine, the fast slamming back entrance and the maintenance room. we were un able to sleep for two nights and then requested to move rooms. The upgraded room gave us a great view of the exhaust fans on the adjacent roof as well as the ladies underwear that had been discarded and was displayed on the outside of the glass( that couldn't be opened anyway. Our son was on a foldout bed that was broken and held together with plastic shopping bags. when I pointed this out to the Manager, he informed me that this was the best one that they had. The position is good and it is a real shame that it is obvious to see that no money has been spent on the rooms for a long time. there was mould in the bathrooms and the rooms were tired. Having 5 people in a room with windows that don't open is poor. I will not be using our Booking Agent ever again.

    4
    « Great Veiws »

Small Rooms, but very clean and a great staff. Angel the MOD worked out some issues, but a young latina with beautiful skin and curly hair just can smile away any of your problems. The Veiw of the ocean was wonderful, location to the beach was a stones throw away. Parking was difficult but manageable. Breakfast was very pricey though

    5
    « Best Western Atlantic »

Our stay at the Best Western Atlantic Beach Miami was a great overall experience, we truly enjoyed. The location was great and staff was nice and helpful. impeccable clean rooms. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and would certainly come back in the future

    4
    « Good Stay »

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The good point is the closed beach, the nice ocean view and the breakfast. There is no parking, only a few places are available near the hotel. you'll have to park/pay your car 3 blocks away

    3
« Good location, solid room »

Spacious and clean room in a hotel directly at Collins avenue. A little bit of refurbishing is needed in the room, but it is really all about to be close to the beach. The poolside could use some "lift-up".

  • 3
« Hotel good, surroundings not so good »

The hotel itself was very good and the service was ok. The location was not that's good for us, there was a hotel next door and they were having pool parties with loud music until late, which kept us up, we called the hotel reception to advise them as it violated the laws on noise. They didn't do anything about it, but it's probably hard for them to do so.

    1
    « Not what I envisioned »

If you are looking for a bed to sleep in this is your place!! If you are looking for a room with heat when it's 48 degrees outside, this is not your place. The hotel has no heat. I presume since Miami is usually warm...Close to $200 a night, sorry a hotel should have heat. I came back to my room to a cold shower. Maintenance came to fix. The shower head faces the shower curtain so water sprays through to soak the bathroom floor. There is the option to move it but that's a challenge when you are trying to lather up. My room was next to the ice machine so there was a pretty loud humming noise when I was in my room. I guess it helped drown out hearing loud people. The smoke detector was chirping on arrival which maintenance also had to fix. There was no blow dryer in the room and had to call the desk again. There was no book in the room to say what was around or what was on the menu in the restaurant. I can handle an outdated room, I can handle random hair on the floor, but for the issues I had this hotel is extremely overpriced. I've stayed in $50 motels nicer than this place. The best thing about this hotel-the boardwalk that goes to south beach behind the hotel. I understand you get what you pay for but this was ridiculous.

    2
« You're paying for the beach not the room! »

Rooms are in a desperate need of refurbishing, very dated, rust all over the bathroom. Stayed there before a cruise, there was a party going on until 4AM in the room next door, called down to front desk they sent security, that accomplished nothing - was glad my wife had extra set of earplugs. Lobby is very nice but compared to the rooms anything could be nice. Was never asked at the front desk how my stay was in fact she didn't say one word to me, took my keys and typed something in Computer and walked away. Word of advice, if you have been travelling all day stay at the airport not at this hotel.

    2
    « Outdated & Rundown - not again »

Overall I was dissatisfied with almost every aspect of the hotel. It took 3 tries to find a room that had working water pressure, AC's which did not make a loud noise, noisy vending machines, paint peeling off the walls, no water in the room, the list goes on. I only needed it for a place to sleep but found it over-priced compared to the beautiful little hotels around it. I would recommend you look elsewhere when trying to book a place of rest.

    2
    « Kind of dingy »

Nothing was terrible about my stay here but I was hoping it would be nicer. The hotel is run down. The pictures online must have been taken a long time ago b/c the furniture in the lobby is the same but it doesn't have the swanky vibe that the pictures depict...it's just run down. The place just felt kind of grimy. For the money it cost, I was disappointed but Miami area is quite expensive and it was cheaper than other area hotels. The place tries to be a resort but just doesn't quite live up- bad service at the bar (my husband and I were the only ones there), overpriced food at the restaurant, pool was small, gym was tiny and full at 8am. The bed was comfortable. Hint- if you stay here, walk to Walgreens and buy food for breakfast-the buffet is overpriced. If I'm in the area again I'll stay somewhere else

    3
« Good location but service could be improved »

Quite oldish but we appreciate on the one hand the location and its direct access to the beach boardwalk and on the other hand the in house parking facility. During our five days stay, the room we got was expensive, had no view and was not well isolated from the noisy lobby. Last but not least, during two successive days, coming back late afternoon from an excursion, we discover that the room had not been clean up. Thanks to the front desk manager who was very helpful and took the necessary decisions.

    3
    « Leisure »

Can you believe they don't have heat in this hotel? If you are cold, they bring up a portable heater? Hello, this is the 21st century. Do your self a favor, if you are in Miami, stay somewhere else. And it was not cheap.

    4
« Nice Hotel, good amenities »

Nice Hotel. Rooms were well kept and clean although it seemed like an old place. Was not as spacious but good enough for us. Staff was nice and courteous and prompt. Parking space was available (self in-out) and was convinient. Pool is decent and has a swipe entry to the Beach boardwalk - which was really nice. Good location

    4
« Good experience but could've been the BEST stay being on the beach »

Housekeepers: Maribel and Yadira thank you very much for your attentiveness and making sure our stay went well. They went above their expected normal work routine to provide a great experience for my family. I hope the Miami Beach Atlantic resort acknowledges these two employees. Katiana and I think her name was Paola were good. The location was great very few restuarants within walking. MKAE SURE YOU GET FAMILIAR WITH PARKING LOCATIONS AND RULES AND REGULATIONS. What would've made this stay the best was being a platinum member with an oceanfront room I would've expected them to place my family in an ocean front room as described but we checked-in and were placed in pool front. So not pleaseant at all. Overall great interior decorating. Rooms were ok nothing to wow or fancy. Bathrooms were good.

    5
    « We'll come again! »

We had a corner room with ocean front. It had a long porch and beautiful view. The room was pretty big with nice walk-in closet, clean fresh smell, and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly. I asked for lowest floor when made reservations cuz we're Jewish and can't use elevator on Shabbos. When we signed in (5am... cuz of delay w JetBlue) and went in to my room on 4th floor (which is actually only 1 floor up from lobby) we saw that the main view is being blocked with trees, so they gladly changed me to 5th floor where the view was much nicer. I would rather recommend to go 6th floor even if u can't use the elevator cuz it's actually only 3 flights up and not so hard to use the stairwell. The a/c didn't do such a good job for such hot weather but we managed. Enjoy your vacation!

« Good location, clean and very pleasant staff »

The hotel is in an excellent location 41th and Collins Ave The staff was very pleasant and willing to help.Thank you front desk for being so respectful and polite, also I want to thank and congratulate the housekeeping department for such a great job, rooms are very clean with comfortable bedding. Ocean view from balcony is breath taking! We had a great stay , we will come back next winter!!!

    3
« Better to stay in other hotel.. »

Hotel is average but the price of the hotel is very high. Hotel does not have enough parking for guests. You have to park in public parking or other parking lots. This hotel is ocean front hotel with small pool on the back side. But the hotel is far (1.5 to 2 miles) from Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road...

    3
    « It's all about Location »

This hotel was average but since it is on the beach you get an experience worth the extra money. You can even walk to the restaurants and clubs on South Beach (2 miles). Put the whole "I like long walks on the beach" to the test! Other than that, I had no problems with the rooms or service. Be warned, parking is a total pain and is not offered at the hotel.

    2
    « Location »

You get what you pay for namely location - but nothing else! The hotel is pretty worn-down and the toilet door to our bathroom could not close for example. However the breakfast at Aqua (hotel restaurant) was really good and we ate breakfast four days in row. I'm not staying at a Best Western hotel again...

    5
« First time in Best Western »

This is was our first time in Best Western,we enjoyed our stay very much All the staff is extremely helpful and courteous. The room was very comfortable and clean. Direct access to the beach and complimentary towels. Great beach area and close to many great markets and restaurants. It's a little far from the busier part of south beach, but we love to walk and is just under an hour's walk down Collins or the boardwalk to reach Ocean Dr. and shopping

    4
« Amazing Room, Views and staff! »

Stayed one night; but oh what a night it was! 6th floor balcony overlooking the beach was amazing during the day, at night and watching the sun rise. We stayed before leaving on a cruise and had a lot of choices; but decided to stick with the BW chain since we've been long-time members and the $$ was right. The walk to the beach was just steps. the beach was clean and so was the hotel and it's surrounding property. I didn't make it into the pool; but it totally looked inviting. This rating would have been 3 1/2 only because the parking is below the hotel around the block (no access from inside the hotel) and an extra expense which has its own difficulty since I walk with a cane. The room had a fridge but no microwave and breakfast was extra not included and there was plenty of noise going on above us all night but the beauty made up for these inconveniences, and the staff was extra nice, helpful and accommodating.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Helpful staff, great location in mid-Miami Beach, good value, very clean rooms, comfortable beds for good for sleeping Small pool but clean and well maintained Breakfast is complete, fresh and delicious We really had a great time in this Best Western

    3
    « odor in room »

There was a distinct musty door to the room and it was damp. The room above had a water leak which obviously contributed to the problem. Our room should not have been made available. The location of the Hotel is excellent and we have stayed here before and been very pleased which is why we chose to stay here again. We had arrived from a cruise so we were early and requested an early check-in. We were told they would expedite our request. It was 4 hours before we got our room.

    5
    « A room with a view »

This hotel is definitely a keeper! Spacey rooms nice and clean for good price. Friendly staff and super duper breakfast buffet (not included). And the best thing, it's right on the beach and boardwalk!

    4
« Beautiful views for budget friendly hotel »

Hotels are expensive in South Beach, but this hotel was a bit "less" expensive than most of the others. Don't be worried about staying at this hotel. The reviews aren't great but the hotel is fine. Pros - beach access, beautiful view and great pool. We stayed on the top floor and the room was updated. The carpet had a few stains on it, but nothing shocking. The bathroom was all updated. There was a safe as well. We had fantastic WiFi. No issues. The best part of the hotel is the amazing concierge service. They will try to do anything you ask. They will keep you luggage if you arrive early as well. Cons - location location location. It's great if all you want is the beach. If you are wanting to be in the middle of all the restaurants it's a long walk. 40 minutes. You can take a taxi which is about $10-$15. There are a few restaurants near by, but not near all the excitement. We are a Diamond BW member, thought maybe an upgrade could have been arranged but it wasn't.

« Family vacation to Miami! »

Best western Atlantic was one of the best parts about Miami. Staff was very nice and kind. When our cards would not work they would quickly get us new ones. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Only issue was the pool was very small. But great location! Only a $11 uber ride into downtown Miami! And a 5 minute walking distance to a Walgreens that has everything! Loved this hotel and will be coming back soon!

    3
    « Fine for a stopover »

The decor of this hotel was an 80s timewarp. While it was clean, everything was very old. The room and ensuite were very small, only just enough room to open a suitcase on either side of the bed. The staff were friendly though and it was fine for an overnight stay. The outdoor bar and seating area were nothing fancy but it was clean. There is beach access beside the pool. We only had a few hours of sunlight in Miami on a stopover but found that there wasn't much to see or do around the area, it was mostly hotels.

    5
    « SERVICE »

the service at Best western was Amazing and we would definitely go back again. They went above and beyond to help us. Their computer was not working and the staff came over to help me print my Boarding Pass. Thank You Beast Western for our perfect vacation.

    4
« Nice Hotel and location »

We have stayed here twice while in Miami, overall it is a nice place, rooms are a little dated and carpets worn. But for the price and being beach front it is acceptable. The concierge service could be a little better. Tried to get a cab and was told to just go stand by the street a flag one down....

    4
    « Very nice location »

Nice location and all other services except the limited parking and no microwave in room, not even in floor. You need to go to lower level to get those services. Nice ocean facing room and balcony. Pool and connected to the beachfront. In this price they should add some more complementary services.

    2
    « Good Location »

Well located on Collins Ave. Right on the beach. The majority of the staff were friendly , except a few ones. There are only 30 parking spots, at $30 per night. Fiirst come first serve. Taking in consideration that finding parking in Miami Beach is a luxury, that's a plus if you are lucky to park there. The room I stayed in had dirty carpet, and rusted areas. Bed wasn't comfortable. The balcony ocean view made up for the outdated room. Another plus was the mini fridge.

    5
    « outstanding stay »

We stayed here November 13th thru the 16th. Check in was horrible! But that was the only problem and the front desk was great, the issue was slow housekeeping. Our room was outstanding, the view, phenomenal. If you can get a beach front corner room, we had 616. Huge wrap around balcony full glass on the walls facing the Ocean and beach! The outdoor bar and grill had excellent food cooked on a grill right on the patio. Room was clean and quiet, bed comfortable, and did I mention the view. The staff was great, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Hands down best guy there.... The concierge Juan. Hooked us up every time, from taxis to things to do to local eats and clubs. Overall our anniversary weekend was a blast. Thanks to all there, especially Juan.

    « Well worth it. »

This hotel has a perfect location on Collins Ave, outside of all the noise. The staff is extremely service minded We booked 2 days here and they were well worth it. Room was bright, clean and comfortable Breakfast wasn't included in our booking but we had it as extra, at a very reasonable cost

    « Location--and the Ocean View!!--make this THE place »

we stay here for a number of reasons, but hearing, seeing the ocean through the floor-to-ceiling windows to the terrace, day, night, all the time--this alone makes the hotel the cost-effective way to commune with the Atlantic. Also very convenient to restaurants & shopping, but the beach is RIGHT THERE & amazing.

« Worst BW hotel I have ever stayed at »

1-At arrival NO help from the bell boy with our luggage... the guy jus vanished. 2-No one at the reception desk to check in, had to call after few minutes of wait. It look liker I was bothering the staff. 3-Key to the door did not work, had to try twice before we were given a metal key... 4-Room was smelly 5-Sofa bed was jus a gab of spring, kids did not used it. 6-Fire alarm broke off at 2 AM, no staff was assisting what so ever. kids were terrified. Had to ask completely lost staff if it was finally ok to go back to the room. No help or reassuring words from them... This was by far the worst experience I had in a BW hotel, a real shame. I want my money back!

« Good for one night stay »

Old hotel that needs desperately updating. Location is good, right on the beach. Food and drinks are way too expensive. Pool area ok, even though it's not that big. Water in the pool was cold, but the pool was clean.

« Pretty good hotel for the price »

This hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, but the pool was cement and not inviting. That said, it is on the boardwalk and right on the beach, so go to the beach. The lobby, rooms and hallways were a little dated and tired. Be careful; an ocean room only means that you have a view from the side, unless you get a room which directly faces the ocean. The bed was lumpy.

« Great hotel in a good position. »

This hotel was in a good position on North Beach. It has a safe entry to the beach via the boardwalk. We had a good sea view. The air conditioning in our room was very effective but rather noisy. Luckily we didn't really need it overnight. The hotel next door seemed to be rather lively with loud music being played for most of the day and into the night while we were there. Our room was well equipped with a lovely comfortable bed. We didn't eat onsite but made good use of the Prima cafe across the road which served great food which was very reasonably priced. There was a stop down the road for one of the bus tours which made sightseeing easy.

    « Just Ok »

this hotel needs a complete over haul, the carpets are older the hallways have a smell to them, rooms were clean and lobby was also, but it's old ,and just not comfortable feeling, very easy access to the beach and other restaurants and shops in the area, there is a lot of construction all around this area..alot of light from hallway shines thur all around the door and under the door made it hard for me to sleep, front desk folks were very nice and friendly!

    « location »

the hotel is very well situated if you're looking to spend time on the beach, and bar or restaurants hunting, but parking was terrible and not much shopping is around. if you rent a car from Alamo or Dollar, there is a return office less than 2 blocks from the hotel which was convenient. they don't offer shuttle to the airport, but the service is available for a fee once you ask about it. breakfast is the same every day, but very tasty, and the restaurant staffs are really nice.

    « Very disappointed »

The front desk staff was un-accommodating staff and made inappropriate comment. The parking garage was Inconvenient and expensive. The Outdoor pool was not heated and too cold to enjoy. Some of the electric plugs in the room did not work. The wifi was very slow. No microwave in room.

« Great resort and wonderful pool »

We stayed here one year ago and choose to come back because of the pool, access to the beach and walkway and staff. We feel that hotels generally should place someone in a wheelchair and tour their hotels through the eyes of a disabiled person. Abiled bodied people see the world with Rose Covered Glasses

« Easy to find better »

Old building renewed, but weird decor. We had a room with oceanfront view. Was great. Super view from the balcony. We ended up often with people that were speaking more Spanish than English. Main problem, nothing around, especially restaurants. Had to take your car to go out for eating. No shops either. South Beach is not that far but unless you like walking, again you need to take your car. Few shuttle buses come at the hotel for tour around Miami. Place was OK, but not more.

    « Nice Stay! »

Guest areas were clean and well maintained Our room was in 10th Floor, We love it, super clean and looked out onto the beach from our balcony. Pool has beach access with Boardwalk right there. Great crew, especially Waitress and cleaning staff. I would definitely stay here again.

« Wouldn't stay again. Pay a little more and keep looking »

At check in and check out, I found the clerks being rude to other (foreign) guests. I actually wanted to interrupt and tell the guests that not all Americans are rude. The hotel smells musty, moldy, stale. Our room reeked! Bedding was just ok. Bathroom super small but clean. The pool is tiny for a "resort". Good location for the beach, but nothing else. Plan on either walking a lot, or paying for cabs. The price for breakfast is just outrageous. Parking fee is outrageous as well

Hotel was very clean, however very far cos about 4km from south beach. No restaurants, shops around. No music no shows in a hotel. Pool was very small. Sun Lounge at the beach costs 25$ including water and umbrella. We visted Miami in September and it was very stormy. Nice weather, sunny and suddenly in afternoon heavy rain and wind and then 30mins later sunny again.

« Birthday Getaway Girls Trip »

The hotel is outdated, the pool is very small, the rooms are average, disappointed it's called a resort hotel yet there's no kitchen/stove. Just a tiny microwave/fridge. The bar in the back in the pool area didn't have like 3 items on the menu, a hotdog was $11/way overpriced. I was disappointed and the location wasn't the best either. We went to Miami to celebrate a birthday. I wish we stayed closer to strip near 8th street. This hotel was about a 15-20 minutes cab ride to where all the fun was. Katerina, the restaurant manager was helpful in planning the surprise cake/balloon/champagne for the birthday girl in our hotel room, but that was it. The service at the actual restaurant was really slow, I was disappointed but when we did get our food, it was delicious. Katerina also comped us with the drinks because our food took too long, thank you.

« Good Value. Great Views. Funky Hotel »

The lobby of this property is very nice, but it belies rooms that are strangely laid out and a bit on the funky side. I did like our corner room with the wrap around balcony - the view of the beach was spectacular and the sunrise was unbelievably beautiful, and access to the beach was easy. It's a very good value for the location, though, and, since you're unlikely to be spending a lot of time in your room you could really do a lot worse. Side note: Skip the hotel bar. I have friends with nicer (and bigger) rec rooms. They ought to work on this, maybe expand something out back in the pool area, because this was the sorriest excuse for a hotel bar I've ever seen.

    « AMAZING STAFF !! »

The staff is amazing, we had booked a regular room over the web, when we got there we were not happy with the street view and wanted an ocean view, they took us to an ocean view and we decided we wanted a lower level instead so they took us to a different lower level, It was three of us traveling together and they patiently waited as we made up our minds (we got an amazing view). When it was time for us to check out we were not ready and our shuttle would not pick us up until 4:00 pm. They extended our check-out for 1 hour at no cost and even held our luggage so we could enjoy our last hours until we got picked up. They gave us directions and recommend places, very friendly staff, Clean rooms with awesome AC, located close too everything but far enough to were you can sleep with no interruptions from outside noise . Love it I know exactly were too stay when I go back.

« WARNING ! THE WORST HOTEL EVER! »

No handicap access had to drag my luggage 1/4 mile uphill from parking pit below hotel. Staff extremely rude. Made a copy of my credit card and refused to give it to me at checkout. where is it now? My wife was in tears after we checked in.
