"Lovely place"
Wanderer29841549000, 11 Mars 2024

Staff very friendly. Room clean and well presented and looked like it was newly renovated. Only downside was the room was next to the railway line which was noisy in the day but quietened down by 11. I would definitely stay again as was perfectly located for Theatre and transport links of all types.

"Trip to London"
David S, 09 Janvier 2024

Great place to stay as its near Victoria station but far enough away to be quiet. Nicely appointed rooms, well maintained and clean. Good for short breaks or if passing through. The stairs are steep and narrow and there is no lift.

"Very poor breakfast"
Sylvia C, 11 Décembre 2023

I am sure the breakfast room was not as pictured when I booked the hotel, it was very cramped and at busy times you had to wait for a table. the food choice was also very poor. Also our room was not in the building where the hotel reception was, we had to walk down a street to get to our room.

"Great Location near Victoria Station"
redrich24, 03 Novembre 2023

Clean, well-maintained property near Victoria Station. Our room was smallish, but adequate, with a great shower and comfortable beds. Highly recommended. Overall, a great place to stay at a reasonable rate.

"Worst Best Western ever experienced!"
Gene B, 02 Octobre 2023

I booked this hotel on points and arrived late in the day. My wife and I were shown to room 625 which was located in a separate building around the corner from the front desk. The room was below grade, musty, with very dirty carpet and hd the hardest bed i have ever experienced. I asked the front desk clerk if he hd any other rooms and he said the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms were available. I checked on the best western website and confirmed was he had told us. We spent one night and booked a different hotel for the second night. When I called hotel and told them we would not be staying there again the front desk clerk said I should have told him and he would have found me a different room. Either they lie about not having rooms or just don't know? The room has a small Window that leads to a super small below grade courtyard with no means of escape in case of a fire in the event the main entrance is blocked or inaccessible. There is no lobby and only a bagged cold breakfast. I feel I got totally duped out of my BW awards points. Worst Best Western I ever experienced . Do yourself a favour and don't stay here! The pictures advertised are not a true representation of the hotel.

"Expensive for what is offered"
Kenneth N, 14 Septembre 2023

The location is excellent, but that's all this hotel has going for it. Breakfast is a box left at door at 6am, and it's terrible. Staff were not helpful (I asked for a taxi, and they told me to Google taxi companies or use the Uber app). NO LIFT. No help offered with suitcases up 2 flights of steep stairs. The train station is directly outside the wall, so you hear trains from Victoria Station all night.

"Best Western"
susanmead09, 17 Août 2023

Perfect location! Friendly, helpful, efficient. The room was small but clean and tidy. Breakfast brought to your room but did the job. No frills but everything you needed for a trip to London. Pleased with our choice !

"Great location near to Victoria Station and HOHO pickup"
markhY1944AL, 20 Juillet 2023

We stayed here for 5 days in June. It is in a great location just a block away from Victoria train and coach stations. From those two locations you can get anywhere in the city or take tours outside the city. Room was nice but very small and it was actually down stairs, which made dragging our luggage difficult. Pluses are it has air conditioning. Negative is that it has no lift. I would stay here again for a short stay but would not use it for longer stays.

"Convenient and Hospitable"
natslindsay, 22 Juin 2023

My first time ever in London. My daughter and I spent two FULL days and a night. The room was perfectly clean, the shower was hot with great pressure. The staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. Though check in is at 3pm and checkout at 11am they kept our suitcase from early in the morning till late in the afternoon. The Hotle is in easy walking distance of the train station so dropping off and collecting the suitcase was no problem.

"Location was primary reason for picking Best Western"
Ken O, 20 Juin 2023

Location as great, room was a bit small, no elevators but clean. T.V. went out on from 5th day, but I streamed movies when not touring London. Room served its purpose, safe to keep items safe, location was great for tub or coach to catch a bus (Victoria Stations).

"Location great, Rooms clean and updated…but know what kind of traveler you are"
KimmiT_13, 16 Juin 2023

I've never stayed at a Best Western before but I knew it was known as a more affordable option for the economically conscious. I picked this hotel because of the area and the price point. Other area hotels were going for $400 a night. When I walked in, I was shocked at the size because I had never seen a room so small. I was traveling with my 19 year old son. I've also never been to Europe before this and other people tell me this is common. My room was in the basement with other rooms down a very tight winding staircase with no elevator. We could hear the trains but I had earplugs and my son was unbothered. This is why I say know what kind of traveler you are. These things are not the responsibility of the hotel. I would maybe stay here again if I were alone. The neighborhood is very safe, great restaurants were nearby and the interactions we had with the hotel staff were totally fine. If you want an affordable, very clean hotel to feel safe in and you don't mind rumbling train noise, this is a great option. My one complaint was I don't think the pictures on the website represented the room I was in. I knew this room existed from another review and hoped I would get it. It should be accurately presented other than just the square footage listed at the bottom.

"Compact and bijou"
sallymarg2018, 26 Mai 2023

Take ear plugs! My sister and I recently stayed here as it was close to the Chelsea flower show (15 min walk). Very clean, compact room. All the facilities you would need with en-suite shower room, kettle, hairdryer, tv etc. The beds were firm but comfortable with extra pillows available and everything was spotlessly clean. The one downside was the trains….I had read before we went about the noise of the trains so luckily had packed my earplugs. The hotel is situated on the Elizabeth bridge which actually goes over a lot of train lines into Victoria so be warned! Breakfast was interesting…it was a pre packed ‘continental' style breakfast left outside your door at 7am, some we ate but some we gave to the homeless guy down the road! I'd recommend the Sicily Italian restaurant just a short 5 min walk away…delicious. We also ate in the Travelers rest tavern a pub just a few yards on from the Italian which served typical ‘pub food'. All in all a great stay and close to the coach station and underground!

"Great for train spotters"
SusanD2448, 20 Janvier 2023

First of all the good stuff. Staff were all very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and gave a room upgrade without me asking. Rooms were spotless with new bathrooms. Here are the negatives. Rooms were very cramped. My room overlooked a railway line out of Victoria and as I was less than 10 metres away and the trains ran constantly between about 0500 and midnight, I did not get much sleep. My room also smelled as though someone had spilt men's cologne all around which was very unpleasant. The hotel was fully booked and no change of room was possible. And the inbetween bits - the website did not mention the kitchens are closed though the breakfast box left by my door each morning was enough to feed me until lunchtime.

"Great service, reasonable tariff"
Grandvisitor, 13 Décembre 2022

The staff here were exceedingly helpful and obliging. We arrived in the middle of the night due to a flight delay to a lovely welcome from the man on the front desk. The rooms are very small but are clean and comfortable also very reasonably priced for London. The hotel is also well situated to walk to restaurants, stations, etc. One drawback was the stairs. We were put on the 3rd floor and both in our 70's had trouble taking our suitcases upstairs, but once again the staff were very obliging and helped. We returned several days later and were given a first floor room. I would definitely choose tasty here again.

"Lovely clean hotel, great staff and location"
201charlenec, 12 Décembre 2022

Staying here at the moment - spotlessly clean, very friendly, courteous and helpful staff and really great location for Victoria. The rooms are small and the staircase is steep but you can ask for a lower floor room if this is a problem and staff are happy to help. I would definitely stay here again and was very pleasantly surprised, also very reasonable rates for rooms, thanks for a pleasant stay we really appreciate it ❤️

"Stay but without the breakfast "
aleksandrapandast, 20 Octobre 2022

in general hotel was great, nice view from the room. but building was old so every steps above was heard, also neighbours from the stairs, but earplugs helped. THE WORST was breakfast. it was small package every morning to your door. but... everything had so much sugar in it. even when I said that I need gluten free reception only added me one more egg, but... I needed to buy products in local shop and return almost whole package. if you want nutrition from breakfast I don't recommend to pay for it. basically you eat your breakfast in room.

"So close to Victoria Coach Station"
sierradog1, 23 Septembre 2022

We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Victoria Coach Station (we were leaving the next day on a cruise from Southampton). The beauty of this location is that you can easily pull your suitcase out of the front door and to Victoria Coach Station in about 3 minutes. Super easy. Due to a late plane--we arrived late evening and the front desk apologized that our room was on the 3rd floor. I was anticipating no elevator so had packed overnight essentials in a small carryon bag. The front desk stored our large suitcases in a luggage room. The stairs are steep and narrow--would have been difficult to negotiate with our large suitcases. The hotel is also quite close to Victoria Train Station and noise from the trains might be troublesome for light sleepers--but even though our window was overlooking the train tracks, we felt that the air conditioner noise pretty much blocked out all train noise. The bed was very comfy--the room was quite small (and we were so glad our large suitcases were downstairs, because there wasn't too much extra room around the bed to walk. The bathroom was modern, spotlessly clean and larger than expected. A generous boxed breakfast was delivered to the room in the AM and included milk, cereal, danish, an egg, yogurt and a banana (if my memory serves me right). There was coffee available downstairs in the lobby. The gentlemen at the front desk when we checked in and checked out were very friendly and helpful--suggesting someplace to eat for dinner and helping us with our bags. This is a great hotel for an overnight stay near Victoria Station--the rooms are small by American standards--but the economical price was very much appreciated and the location was perfect.

"Nice hotel at a great location"
Cynthia M, 23 Septembre 2022

We were looking for a hotel close to Victoria Station (Coach & Train) as we would be in London for only a few days before having to get to Southampton for a cruise. This place was a two-block walk from both and from a stop on the hop on/off bus. Perfect. for us. And only a block from a great pub. The staff was great, the lobby has delicious coffees, The room was comfy but the bed was a bit small for two people. We are from the US. We would definitely return.

"Great hotel if your sightseeing in London."
NORman0762, 18 Septembre 2022

This is a very nice hotel very close to Victoria station, a short walk to shopping, a medium distance to Buckingham Palace and St James Park. If You're expecting a large room this isn't the hotel for you however, the hotel is updated it's clean comfortable and well worth the price. You don't go to London to sit in your room. The staff was very friendly even brought my bags to the room. We ordered a takeout breakfast that was delivered to our room everyday and was very complete with cereal muffins juice milk etc. If you were someone who is coming to London to discover the sites and not sit in your room all day I recommend this hotel. It's a good hotel to come to at the end of a long day sightseeing.

"Perfect for tours from Victoria Coach Station"
ShirleyB399, 30 Juillet 2022

Very clean, friendly hotel in easy walking distance to Victoria train, tube, and coach stations. Box breakfast can be added for more convenience. Rooms are small like most London hotels and we had a very steep, narrow staircase that would challenge people with mobility issues. Amazing how all expected amenities can be packed into a space! You can hear the trains if you're a light sleeper but we were too tired to care!

"Disappointing"
holidaylover1972, 06 Juillet 2022

We had a 2 night stay for a trip to Wimbledon so wanted somewhere close to Victoria. We were put in the annex in a lower ground floor. Lovely modern room, however rock hard bed. My partner and I barely slept, not just because of the bed, but from the hum of 2 air conditioning units outside our window and also the trains on the tube line which seemed as though it was right behind the wall of the bed headboard!! No need to set the alarm - 5am they were off again. The bathroom needs an award for the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. You had to slot your head under the shelf above the sink to brush your teeth it was that small! If you didn't you'd be spitting onto the floor! You couldn't even get undressed in the bathroom it was that small. We had prepaid for breakfast which we were told would be delivered to our room. It was outside our door first thing in the morning. The room is not suitable to eat breakfast in! It was a bit ridiculous trying to pour milk from a straw hole in a carton over your cornflakes. Did it go on the cornflakes? Course not it went all over the desk! It was a bit messy! The breakfast itself was fine though. We had no time to ask to move rooms as we were on such a tight schedule. I personally don't recommend these basement annex rooms at all. Never had need to give a negative review for a hotel, but I felt disappointed with this one.

"London Stay"
hartwell2108, 03 Mai 2022

Lovely hotel, very clean and friendly. Very close to station and Victoria Apollo. Very comfortable beds! Large double room true to size, plenty of fresh towels and good air conditioning system. Flat screen TV with working channels

"Overnight stay in Buckingham"
debbiepastie1, 30 Avril 2022

Great , well priced hotel . The hotel is spacious and spotlessy clean . The room was larger than average and well maintained. We ate in the restaurant and had a lovely well priced meal . Staff were accomodating and pleasant . Would definately stay again

"Very comfortable stay"
Cathy M, 25 Avril 2022

Clean, very adequate, newly refurbished room in Best Western nr Victoria Stations. A block away from coach station - 45 minute bus ride to Heathrow, only 6GBP when ticket bought a day in advance -cheaper?/faster/easier than the underground!

"Basic hotel, close to coach station and tube station"
candiestravel22, 11 Mars 2022

Basic hotel, but had everything I need, as only used it as somewhere to sleep after a long day in London. Room was clean, shower in bath room, Was a bit noisy as train station close by. Would stay again as local to everything you need for a trip to London.

"Hotel cancelled my booking last minute when I was in town for medical treatment - a disgrace AVOID"
annacZ963GI, 20 Février 2022

I had booked two nights at this hotel well in advance and on my day of arrival the hotel cancelled on me stating my card was invalid (it was not!) - I immediately called and they took zero accountability, tried to blame it all on Booking.com and refused to reinstate my booking. A new booking wouldn't have meant I was out of pocket by over £100. I am in London for medical treatment and so this caused considerable last minute stress for me and the receptionist I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and unsympathetic and essentially tried to pass the buck. Disgusting that hotels can get away with this. Had to book another hotel last minute and was out of pocket as a result.

"Well situated needs a bit more care to cleaning"
U474YYlisad, 07 Février 2022

Hotel well situated close to Victoria & good eating places not too far a walk. although I was put on annexe! Room looked clean until went to put something in bin it was full even had old lateral flow test in it! Very noisey with people coming and going front door slammed all the time. Shame it had to facilities to relax in was just in room.

"good location and customer service"
Coolwaters, 17 Janvier 2022

An overnight stay to break up a long journey, the location is perfect for VictoriaStation and some theatres.I was located at the rear,a short walk around the corner with no inconvenience. Clean & tidy room, good price, good service.Recommended

"Nice room noisy trains & poor hairdryer!"
simonlally, 01 Décembre 2021

Placed us for a 3 night stay in a lower ground room where you were repeatedly disturbed by trains running under the room no mention on arrival of potential noise. Shoddy hairdryer stops working when your thumb looses pressure on the switch, poor.

"Fabulous hotel"
S C, 01 Décembre 2021

I stayed for three nights whilst visiting London to see friends and attend a work conference. It was so well positioned that I could walk to a wide variety of places including Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Knightsbridge etc. I had a small single room in the next building but this was clean and tidy and had everything I needed. The room was cleaned every day and the staff were brilliant and friendly. The train noise is there (from other comments) but it is bound to be as it is next to Victoria station BUT the trains reduce after about 11.00 pm and I was not disturbed by them. I would happily stay here again when visiting London.

"Couples short break"
darrallsuzanne, 11 Novembre 2021

smooth check in, we requested a room away from the railway as other reviews stated this was a noisy problem, taken around the corner to the adjacent building for our room, down the stairs and towards the back of the building, the room was spotless, modern but small, probably the smallest double bed thats on the market, dumped our bags then headed out, got back about 11pm, settles down, then.... the noise !! trains from nearby Victoria Station that rumbled past and seemed to be about 20 foot on the other side of the wall, this went on until about 1am and started at 5am the next morning, we were only there 1 night so suffered it, otherwise a request to move would have been on the cards. great location for the theatre and restaurant that we had booked so this was a convenient stay for 1 night.

"Clean and well presented, but think again if you are a light sleeper."
rebeccawalters01, 04 Novembre 2021

A nice stay, room is well presented at first but as you look round the edges it has not been finished well. Do not underestimate how close you are to the station, if you are on a lower level you can feel the underground going past each time. The beds are also very! firm.

"Meh stay"
MandMDE, 29 Octobre 2021

Needed updated tremendously. Bathroom was not cleaned (mildew, dirty toilet etc). Shower was TINY. Near a train station, so was loud (didn't bother us too much, though). Non-refundable, so couldn't cancel if we wanted to. We did like having breakfast delivered to our door. Also liked that we had a washer. Was also close to a bus station and train station.

"Great value and clean"
166LK5, 27 Octobre 2021

Stayed for 2 nights, was very happy with the room. It was modern and clean. We were in a row of houses behind facing the railway which didn't bother us at all. The room was made up after our first night which was lovely to come back to. We were using this hotel to go on the Harry Potter studio tour which left from Bulleid Way, so the location was great for us. The closeness to Victoria station was convenient for eating out too. Would definitely stay again.

"A Best Western Hotel that is really the best !"
FarAway01764947834, 22 Octobre 2021

We needed a one night stay in a central London hotel. We could not have made a better choice. Friendly efficient reception. A guide to our room and it's facilities. Probably the best equipped hotel room at the price. Spotlessly clean. This is the standard all the others should strive to achieve.

"A little gem two minutes from Victoria station"
rje19555, 07 Octobre 2021

This is a very nice place to stay . We booked two nights either side of a trip on the British Pullman as the hotel is just 2 minutes from Victoria Station The receptionist was extremely helpful and took us and our bags to the room. The rooms are set in a small row of houses in a quiet street The room was a very pleasant surprise. Newly refurbished, spotlessly clean with air-con and fast Wi-Fi The railway is behind the room but did not keep us awake. The bed was very comfortable The room was meticulously cleared and replenished by housekeeping This is a simple, very comfortable, super convenient hotel. We will definitely stay again.

"Reduced Service"
Ellie P, 07 Septembre 2021

Stayed at this hotel previously but the service has reduced significantly. Breakfast, which is continental is delivered to your door. There is no choice offered. Two pieces of bread supplied but obviously no toaster in the room. If I had known the breakfast buffet was not available, I would not have booked and pre paid for breakfast at £6.99 for the three nights. After our first nights stay we realised that we had not had any housekeeping undertaken. No clean towels and bins still full of rubbish. At reception we were told that they were not cleaning rooms of guests staying there due to COVID!!! If we had been told these services were not available we would have not booked this hotel. Disappointing.

"Good value along with a great location "
RAYZZOR, 30 Août 2021

After shed loads of studying reviews I found this hotel which I thought great value for money. Stayed in room 116 which was just around the corner from from the main hotel (20 seconds walk).. My room was small and very clean it was adequate for me with all the facilities I would need. Breakfast was only continental (delivered to my room). Location is fantastic 20 min walk to the Palace and about 25 to the Thames itself . One review mentioned trains passing at night but they didnt seem too noisy to me and not very frequent either..perhaps there are 3 parts to this hotel..if your a light sleeper take some ear plugs you wont need an eye mask as I had dark curtains which curtailed the light coming in. Staff were fantastic and check in was a cinch. If your thinking of going to London please give this hotel a thought and you won't be dissapointed. All in all a great vacation which was helped along by the quality of my hotel.

"Odd hotel"
billcumming25, 26 Août 2021

The main reception is on a different street from the actual rooms, very small but clean rooms and friendly staff. Good location from coach and train station just unexpected quality of hotel as best western is a good name.

"Great location!"
Milesband, 26 Août 2021

Was really happy with our stay here. Was in London for a few days with my partner. The room was absolutely spotless. Good sized shower and hot beverage facilities. Breakfast was delivered to the room each morning with a nice selection including fruits, cereal, boiled egg, croissants, muffins, yoghurts, orange juice. Reception staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Great location for access to tube, bus, trains.

"Was ok but wouldn't return"
Curious52973143961, 18 Août 2021

Photos looked lovely on booking.com and price was affordable so we booked a double room for the weekend. On arrival we went into reception of the main hotel and was told we had been given a free upgrade to a triple room which we said” oh ok then thanks that's great, the man on reception explained breakfast option and then gave us our key. He said you won't be staying in this building you are across the road…so off we went to a side road opposite the main hotel, the building looked like a closed down shop that had been converted into hotel rooms. To be fair the hallway we entered was nicely decorated with a table in the hallway mirror ornaments etc which looked nice. The bedroom was quite small, double bed and a single but it was clean. The bed was a divan which seemed broken and the matress wasn't the best but it was ok. The lock on the bathroom door was broke so if you went in and locked the door you wouldn't get out without someone letting you out from the outside. The bathroom and shower was clean. Complimentary shampoo and shower gel which was nice. You can hear the trains going past every half from the room we was in (can't remember the number) the hotel staff did send my car keys to me through the post after I had accidentally left them in the room which I'm very greatful for.

"Handy base for tourists"
cyclingsourpuss, 31 Juillet 2021

A surprisingly quiet hotel, given its very cental location. We found the hotel room (118) to be comfy, modern and clean. Not the biggest of rooms, but perfectly adequate since we spent the vast majority of our visit out and about. The hotel is handy for the coach station and easy bus/tube access to anywhere in London. The reception staff could've been a little warmer on arrival/departure but its a small niggle.....the cleaning girl was very pleasant and friendly. So, to sum up, we we're very happy with our stay and pretty happy with the price.

"Never again"
Clareyj23, 29 Juillet 2021

Stayed here with my daughters for two nights. Although staff were lovely the room we were given which was situated on the lower level of the building had an awful smell of damp. We then discovered blood on the carpet which when the hotel reception was contacted they tried to say it was red wine or food. Even though they offered us a separate room which was on the opposite side of the road which had groups of people congregating outside we chose to remain in the room and not walk around bare footed. As our stay went on we found blood on the curtain and in the shower door which we had not seen previous to this even though we had used the shower. Again on leaving we saw blood on the stair bannister. The air conditioning turned off at night leaving the room extremely hot. We were unable to open the window which was a blessing as we found out due to men standing outside our window on two separate occasions. All in all I feel the stay ruined my break away. Instead of relaxing I felt permanently on edge.

"Perfect location and early check-in!"
carwakinsxo, 19 Juillet 2021

We arrived on Saturday and was greeted my two lovely gentleman behind reception who let us check-in earlier instead of storing our luggage and this was honestly brilliant- it meant we didn't need to go back to our hotel later on! Our room was off onto a quiet street behind the main hotel doors! Our room was very spacious with tea/coffee facilities, AIRCON (massively needed!) TV and a lovely powerful shower! Something my husband noted was that there are a few mirrors as normally in hotels you're both struggling to get ready with one vanity mirror! Bed was nice and comfy and towels provided. Victoria bus station and train station are less than 10mind away so perfect base! And Buckingham Palace is also a short walk away - location wise is fab! Many thanks for having us - we will be back!

"Best hotel in central London"
TomMcThor, 08 Mai 2021

I really cant fault this hotel and find myself consistently rebooking when working in the area. The staff are exceptional and professional at all times, the rooms are stylish and modern and extremely clean. The hotel is visually stunning and very in keeping with the local stucco-fronted architecture that Pimlico is famed for. And the value is perfect. The 24 hour reception is extremely handy for booking last minute or when you can't check in until very late at night due to earlier work commitments. Just brilliant : )

"Newly refurbished and Modern!"
Raietraveller, 16 Décembre 2020

Lovely, modern and clean double room- 117. The bathroom was grey with underfloor heating. Perfect for Chelsea and Belgravia areas. I will be staying here again and recommending it to others. The train noise was not loud for myself, as it is the city you would expect noisy nights anywhere you stay in my opinion. Pleasantly surprised with the hotel!

"Noisy room"
C7286VUdavidb, 24 Novembre 2020

Ask for high floor quite room got a ground floor room not in the hotel but across the road next to off-licence over looking main train line into Victoria station bad nights sleeping room 222 not good ,

"What a find..."
nickbestwick, 30 Septembre 2020

OK, there is some building work going on, and yes, there are more than one building to this hotel (meaning, you may be in an annex), however, this is a hotel that I had previously o[overlooked due to the negative comments. and price. Stayed here for the first time last week, had a lovely room on the 1st floor in one of the annexes. However, I prefer a sperate building as you tend to get less noise, and also traffic post your door. The room was newly refurbished and very well appointed. Yes, I had to have my curtains closed most of the time, due to the railway, but this is London and not in the middle of the countryside. It was OK by London standards, and had everything that I needed. Only gripe, please have mugs and not cups and saucers in the room, Less to clean and better for me! Well done to a great refurbishment.

"You get what you pay for"
Kerri197421, 30 Septembre 2020

The room was smaller than I expected tolerable for the one night but not much more, it was new and very clean, the amenities modern and compact the only problem was the heating which blasted Continuously with no means to turn off

"It's my first time"
yanaokrent, 18 Janvier 2020

It's my third time in London and at this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a small amount of people or small family or traveling solo. The breakfast is a bit light than expected but overall you don't stay hungry. The price is a bit high but it's definitely worth it. Located near Victoria coach station and about 7 minutes walk to Victoria undergrounds station. I wouldn't change a hotel and on my next trip will definitely order this one over and over again. The staff is very kind and always tries to help and they have very much experience. The hotel room is very clean. You have a lot of restaurants nearby and Victoria shopping center less than five minutes away by walk. Only about 15 minutes by foot from Buckingham palace.

"Convenient downtown location with immediate access to all sights!"
Vasilis P, 14 Janvier 2020

A great hotel in central London. This is a great location if you'd like to walk in central London. (0.8 mile) walk to Buckingham Palace, (1.3 miles) from Big Ben, (0.2 mile) from Victoria Station, (456 ft) from Victoria Coach Station. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The room was spotless, spacious room and very helpful staff! We had a very pleasant stay, it was well worth the money. I highly recommend it, thanks to all the staff for a pleasant stay !!!! We will definitely come again !!!

"Very close to Victoria station and friendly staff"
unmemfeo, 29 Décembre 2019

The newly renovated room is welcoming with sleek design and has a heated floor tiles in the bathroom feature. It's a pity the room I'm staying were meant for up to 3 persons but the bathroom is too small for 3 for sure. There aren't many hooks for hanging clothes/towels there nor not a lot of shelves or cabinets in the bathroom for personal toiletries/hygiene stuff. The breakfast is very basic and not many choices and too many sweet pastries which is a a bit turn off. Not many hot food. It is very close to Victoria station and only takes about 8-10mins (with luggage) to get there. It's very convenient for people who need to take the Gatwick Express train to Gatwick Airport early in the morning like myself.

"Good value"
mark f, 23 Décembre 2019

It is Comfort Inn/Best Western and it is excellent. The hotel is bit divided, I stayed in a separate part around the corner from the hotel reception in a single room. The single room thing is unusual but it is particularly unusual here because it is of very high quality. It has obviously been recently renovated. Around here there are mouldy BnBs and I get the impression this part is a remade one of those. There are two things that almost cost it a star. 1) The shower door opens directly onto the bedroom carpet which is odd and the shower needs to run for a minute or so to get warm. 2) I could not balance out between too hot and too cold. The radiator was banging away and it was quite warm, the air con to try and bring it down. There is noise from the trains, not too much, and it seemed to be I could hear rain on the roof even though I was in the basement. These issues are small and saved by great price, great location, good check-in, good wi-fi, newly renovated, tea and coffee, safe, big TV.

"The staff alone makes this hotel a great place to stay."
LAF1412, 18 Décembre 2019

Stayed at the Best Western for one night as I had a meeting to attend in London. My company failed to book the room correctly which meant although I had a reservation the room had not been paid for. The staff were so accommodating whilst I resolved the issue. I was offered a hot drink and was even told I could go to the room they had reserved for me until the issue had been resolved. As a woman travelling alone I was so appreciative of the hospitality shown to me by the front desk. Even though my company caused the issue the front desk offered me free breakfast for the inconvenience. My room was lovely, very clean, warm and had tea and coffee amenities. The only issue I had was there was a lot of noise from Victoria station. Having said that I would return to the Best Western Buckingham Pl though. Also I was recommended a beautiful Italian restaurant by the front desk called Sicily which is literally 5 minutes down the road. The food was gorgeous so yet another reason to stay at this hotel. Thank you Best Western Buckingham Pl staff for a lovely stay at your hotel - you are a credit to the Best Western brand.

"Great Hotel made for an excellent Trip to London"
377sarahjaneb, 08 Décembre 2019

Great Hotel , Friendly Staff and clean Rooms. We stopped for 2 nights and found it a great base to get to all the important tourist spots . So close to our " Big Bus Stop". We were able to walk to Buckingham Palace, stopping in on the many shops along the way. I would defiantly book again . Thank you for making it a great weekend ;-)

"great location for Victoria Station"
jgjymckay, 15 Novembre 2019

staff really helpful and friendly. rooms had all the amenities that would be needed for your stay including a safe. Showers were great loads of hot water. overall spotlessly clean. no restaurant and or bar. A small area next to reception for breakfast. continental breakfast that was basic but adequate. the only downside is the noise from the trains but we would stay here again.

"Friendly Staff, Good room and very good location to Vistoria Train and Bus station - Just 5 minutes walk to see Queen"
virajfernando, 12 Novembre 2019

Excellent hotel with friendly staff, good location just 1 minute walk to Victoria Bus station, 3 minutes walk to Victoria train and underground station and 5 minutes walk to Queen's Buckingham Palace. From Buckingham Palace you can simply walk to Leicester square through St. James Park. Location, excellent, excellent and excellent. I did not like the size of the bathroom though.

"Noisy, noisy"
OZtraveller222, 11 Novembre 2019

This hotel has changed names to the Great Western. It consists of at least three separate hotel buildings located two blocks from Victoria Station and one block from Victoria coach station. I booked a single room and was given a lovely, modern room in an annexed building around the corner from the main hotel. The room was fabulous and had everything a guest would want but it was about 20 steps from one of the 10 railway tracks leading into Victoria station. I could see trains coming and going thru the window. Trains come and go all day and night. It was impossible to sleep in the room even with earplugs. Day 2, I was moved to a room in the annexed building opposite the main hotel. The trains could still be heard and crockery in my room rattled every time a train arrived or departed Victoria station. I could not wait to checkout of the Great Western Hotel. Never again. The rooms, beds, facilities are fine .... they even have air conditioners ..... but the noise cannot be ignored.

"Compact but comfortable"
comcox, 11 Novembre 2019

I selected this hotel because of its location near the Victoria Coach station. I actually stayed here before a few years ago when it was a Comfort Inn, but recently it has changed to a Best Western. I had a single room on the ground floor. The management was very conscientious in noting my request for no steps as I recalled it is an old building. It does have a lift then then one often has to negotiate a few steps up or down through the hallways. The person on the desk walked me to my room helping me with my suitcase even though I didn't ask; he was very nice. The single room was quite compact with an extremely comfortable single bed, a desk with flat screen TV, and a nice shower. My only complaint was the lack of any counter space next to the sink. The location was quiet even though the hotel actually sits over the railroad tracks. They offer a continental breakfast for £8 which was very good; better than the £17 breakfast I had at another 4 star hotel in Chester the week before. The desk will happily store your luggage before or after you stay which is a great convenience. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in this neighborhood. Since you are just a short walk to Victoria rail station there are many shop and cafes nearby.

"DISAPPOINTING"
f18z8wbrn10g0c9w2019, 30 Octobre 2019

Surprised room so small being a family room. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast we had to queue for, tables were in reception area. On arrival one person on the check in desk was very unhelpful and dismissive. Rooms were very clean and great location . disappointing and expensive would certainly not go back there. I have stayed in a number of hotels in London and this was by far the worst.

"Best Western Buckingham palace"
X206, 27 Octobre 2019

Close to transportation, continental breakfast. Nice hotel. Nice staff. Walking distance to many sights and tourist attractions. Can book some tourist attraction at hotel desk. Only negatives, train noise, crowded breakfast

"London trip"
luciah274, 27 Octobre 2019

Our group had 9 people and three families. Spent over $4k for 4 nights... Front desk staff rude and unprofessional! Bed linens were not crisp when we checked in and were never changed in 4 days we were there! Had the same stain each day in the same spot -we will never stay here again....our last night in London we stayed at the St James hotel near Westminster Abbey and st James was truly exceptional! Best western could send their staff to st James to get some great customer service training from st James!

"London Trip"
_carolmshannon, 24 Octobre 2019

We stayed for 4 nights in a family room at the Best Western Buckingham Palace Rd Hotel. The location is central for Victoria Coach, Train and Underground stations. We had a wonderful stay and found all the staff extremely helpful and polite. The room and bedding was cleaned and changed daily. The hotel was spotless. There was a good, powerful, hot shower with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast was ample and the fridge in the room was most useful. I would give the hotel 5/5 but the mattresses where uncomfortable. Fine for a couple of nights but no longer. Saying this, I would book again for a short stay.

"Recent Name Change - Wonderful Place To Stay"
KellieSpark, 18 Octobre 2019

I corresponded with the hotel prior to booking and they were amazing! Responded promptly to all questions and had great advice to give. We booked a triple room which fronted the street - noise was minimal and the outlook was rather pleasant. The staff were great and the free tea and coffee at all times in the foyer was appreciated. Room was clean and well appointed - not huge but big enough for us to be more than happy. The bed and the linen were from heaven after our very long flight and touring days - slept like a baby. We chose the location due to the proximity to Victoria Coach Station and would certainly make this our base in London for all future visits.

"Very well served."
Marcette D, 16 Octobre 2019

The room was comfortable. The manager and receptionist were very helpful. Next to Victoria coach station. Will book there again. The underground and train station are near.though it is on a main road it's still very quiet in the hotel.

"Buckingham Palace"
astarpilot, 15 Octobre 2019

This was a 10 MIn walk to the Palace. About 5 min walk to food. €60 cab to Heathrow Airport. Make Arrangements with your cab to pick you up for the airport. Remember this is two buildings make sure they get your group in the same one.

"Great place to stay to in London!"
replynsva29ku4n12019, 10 Octobre 2019

Took Gatwick Express Train from Airport to Victoria station, Short walk to hotel. So happy to have an early check in after our over night flight. The breakfasts provided Were a great start to our day! Some of the rooms are small but you don't visit London to stay in your room so it is quite fine. On departure they stored our luggage all day so we could continue sightseeing . The staff were amazing and we will definitely come again.

"Value for money"
Irenenm, 05 Octobre 2019

The location couldn't have been better - it was 5-10 minutes from Victoria railway station and Victoria underground station and two minutes away from Victoria Coach Station. The hotel is located in two buildings - one of each side of a quiet road. The staff provided excellent service from checking in to checking out, and every request was taken care of. We asked for extra duvets, and they were brought to us within ten minutes. We had some trouble with the toilet and it was fixed within no time. They were also happy to store our luggage after checking out, and for the first time it felt safe to store the luggage, as they tagged it, and put it away themselves. There was a kettle, coffee and tea in the room, as well as a machine with free hot drinks in the reseption area. The fridge that was in our room, also came in handy. Unlike most hotels, the showers had really warm water and water pressure was high. There were big, soft (and enough) towels. Luckily, there was a mixer tap in the bathroom. The room was really hot when we first entered, but the aircondition (which we could regulate ourselves) worked splendidly. In addition the room was spacious and fairly quiet, even when we opened the window (our room was on the ground floor, facing the road). The room looked like it was redecorated quite recently. There was some noice from the hallway/lift, but nothing that troubled us. The beds were too hard, as were the pillows. Luckily there were several pillows in the room, which helped a bit, as we could choose the most fitting one. But - a good nights sleep was somewhat interrupted by the lack of comfort (as day beds to sit in, they worked well). I'm not too fond of wall-to-wall carpeting, as it is hard to clean. I'm not sure what's in such carpets. Even if it was no surprise, as the hotel wrote "continental breakfast" in their booking information, the breakfast could have been better. It works to get you started in the morning, but after a couple of toast with jam (or instant porridge), you have to find some more food quite early in the day.

"Avoid This Place"
Pete W, 02 Octobre 2019

My wife and I spent 5 weeks travelling through Bulgaria and Serbia. We ended the trip with a 3 night stay in London. This was the worst hotel we stayed in for the entire trip. The room was so small, the bathroom door would not open more than about one foot because the bed was in the way. The room wasn't particularly clean, the carpet seemed to be very dirty. After the third night my wife complained about being poked in the back by the bed springs. The bathroom was so small you had to be careful not to bang your head on the sink when sitting on the toilet. The one positive about the room, maybe the only positive, was the shower, lots of hot water. When booking the hotel, my needs were spelled out very clearly: a private bathroom, non smoking room and breakfast included. When we got there to check in we then learned breakfast was indeed included for 6 pounds per person. We booked this hotel based on the Best Western name and the majority of the comments on Trip Advisor. Having now stayed in the hotel, my confidence in Trip Advisor has been negatively affected. I don't have the same level of trust I used to have. Would I stay here again? No Would I recommend this to friends? No

"Great location for a London stay !"
Sweetlassie, 24 Septembre 2019

This hotel is now a Best Western . It is an ideal location , close to Victoria coach, tube and train station which is why we booked it . We did hear the trains a little bit but not enough to complain about it . Our room was across the road from Reception . It was small , twin beds but the space was very well utilized. Other than the beds being but up against the walls we had no complaints . The breakfast for £6 was suffice and plenty to choose from. Plenty of pubs and restaurants close by . The only disadvantage was you had to go across the street to get drinks etc. The staff was very friendly and eager to please . One of the staff helped me hook up to their WiFi. We'd stay there again.

"Budget hotel, ideal for a one night business trip"
therorystory, 12 Septembre 2019

I stopped as a lone traveller for one night on business. The hotel is now a Best Western, it is in a good location really close to Victoria Station. The price was reasonable and the staff were very keen to please. These were the main plus points. The room itself was in a part of the hotel on the opposite side of the road from reception and it was on a lower ground level, below the road entrance. The room was quite small, especially the bathroom. The toilet for example was too close to the wall in front so it was barely usable. The breakfast was average with limited choice. It was adequate for a one night stay and convenient in terms of location but other than that it is fairly basic.

"Short break in the city from the south coast."
Geoffrey A, 03 Septembre 2019

Really convenient for Victoria station. Don't be put off by the nearby railway, our room on a lower level was as quiet as you could wish. Ours was a nice clean double room with air-con, extra bed, TV and good shower in modern bathroom. Very helpful staff on duty 24hrs. This is now a Best Western hotel and it doesn't let the group down at all. A continental breakfast at £6 each seemed good value although the dining room is a little cosy.

"Great handy location at Westminster near Victoria Bus Station and Rail."
morsel1950, 25 Août 2019

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in June 2019. Our accodation was in the building on the other side of the street opposite the Main building. Although our room was very small it was very clean & adequate for 2 people but we did find it difficut with little room for our suitcases. There is also a lift so happy not to have to use stairs. Even though our room faced the street in front, we found it quiet with no outside noise. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times and happy to store our bags for a short time. Position, position, position - we couldnt have got better with only a short walking distance to both Victoria Rail and Bus stations, shops, Car Rental office, and even Buckingham Palace. Continental breakfast was adequate and plentiful. We would happily stay here again. .

"London for 4 days"
Matsuwesty22, 25 Août 2019

Great location near Victoria Station. The manager and staff were very attentive and helpful. Room was clean, updated and comfortable. The room was small, but when you are downtown, you expect that from a value hotel. Right next to train station and bus station, you could feel the trains, but not hear them. Didn't bother us at all. Just down the street from Buckingham Palace, easy walking distance.

"Good Location, Small Room, Unfriendly staff"
TimeTraveler_800, 22 Août 2019

This property is now a Best Western. The location is very close to the Victoria Train and Coach Stations. There are several coffee shops/pubs/restaurants within a two block radius. Hotel reception, the breakfast area and half the rooms are on one corner of St. George Drive. However, we were placed across the steet in a separate building. We had to cross the street in lousy weather to get ice, access breakfast, etc. The room we had was half the size of our cruise stateroom. We think the cons outweighed the pros of this hotel. Would stay elsewhere if had to do again.

"Excellent location and friendly staff"
kayknowles28, 14 Août 2019

This hotel is in a brilliant location, across the road from Victora Bus Station and it's easy to walk to a host of London attractions. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and are a real credit to the hotel. The rooms are fine, they're not huge but well equipped and the beds are comfortable. More plug sockets would have been helpful though, especially on the bed side of the room. The breakfast experience lets the hotel down somewhat. The dining area is too small for the amount of people potentially using it, meaning it became over crowded and there were people having to wait for tables, which meant we felt rushed to finish and free the table up. There wasn't a great choice either - it was essentially just toast and cereals. Again, because of how busy it was, there were often no plates/glasses/cutlery etc. The staff did an excellent job in trying to dodge round people and keep everything stocked up and flowing as well as possible though! I would recommend the hotel re-think whether it's worth offering breakfast, or at the very least extend the service time at weekend to try and prevent such a bottle neck of people. Overall, would stay here again due to the location and reasonable cost.

"Good location, friendly and helpful staff, very small room in the basement, acceptable breakfast"
replyf14xc65aj102019, 05 Août 2019

The hotel is in a good location close to the main attractions as the palace, Hyde park, etc. The Luton/Stansted buses stop near to the hotel. The room was very-very small, the bed was uncomfortable. Our room was in the basement with view to the air-conditioner what was noisy by night. The room was outdated but the bathroom was acceptable. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was acceptable: toast, jam, butter, some fruits and coffee.

"Great stay!£"
Coastal32532772849, 04 Août 2019

Best Western is situated at the heart of London- Wesrminster. It is about 20 steps away from the Victoria Bus Station. From there, you could travel to the different parts of the UK. The staff are all friendly.

"A great place to stay with your family"
dmarti452390, 31 Juillet 2019

My family stayed at the Buckingham Palace Road Best Western (formerly Comfort Inn) for 2 days before our trip to Africa for a safari as well as for 3 days after our adventure. The staff was cheerful and helpful at all times! We were able to leave one of our bags at the hotel (which was a blessing and saved us carrying needless clothes and items) and were able to book a car with them to the airport both times. They were accomodating and were able to give us as early a check-in as possible both times as well. We stayed in a triple room and while not spacious, it was clean and bigger than some triple rooms we have stayed in at other hotels. The breakfast is simple but tasty and worth 6 pounds and gets you going for the day. I am sure I drank my monies worth of coffee from the coffee station that is available throughout the day. My daughter enjoyed the hot chocolate from the machine as well! The location is one of the reasons we booked this hotel as it is a short walk to Victoria Coach station. If you are planning any tours, most tours originate from Victoria Coach station so you cut down on travel costs. The hotel was reccently a Comfort Inn so it was confusing for our first taxi driver from the airport but luckily we had the address and not only the name handy. I would highly reccommend this hotel for families and singles alike.

"Great staff and locatiob"
Tania W, 31 Juillet 2019

My Mum&I arrived early morning and were quickly accommodated with a room. The staff are lovely (even found us somewhere to order food @midnite the 1st nite) very tidy and close to all modes of transport you need!

"Nice hotel in a great area!"
242annay, 17 Juillet 2019

I spent one night here on my way to Edinburgh. I were quite early in London, and was able to check in right away. The room was in the building on the other side of the main building, it was clean and nice with a good air conditioning. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room had a window towards the railroad, and of course it was some noise because of this. But overall a great place to stay, actually one of the best hotels I have stayed in in London :) Will absolutely consider staying here again!

"Great location"
Bexfrench11, 08 Juillet 2019

This hotel is very well located. It's in a lovely converted house and is clean and compact. Staff were helpful and polite. The check in and check out were fast and efficient. We didn't eat breakfast here but hot drinks were complementary. Would stay again if visiting theatres etc in Victoria area

"Always a pleasure"
Vacation33201227257, 08 Juillet 2019

We always stay in this hotel when in London and this will be about our 5th visit to the hotel. From the front desk staff to the cleaners we always enjoy our stay here. The staff are very friendly and courteous and are always happy to help. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with easy access to the bus, tube and train services, as well as local attractions. Highly recommended.

"Perfect location"
TinaPaulStuart, 03 Juillet 2019

This hotel is just off of Buckingham Palace Road, just round the corner from Victoria coach station and easy access to the underground and Heathrow Express. It is now a Best Western Hotel (previously a Comfort Inn). The rooms are exceptionally clean and freshly decorated. We had clean towels every day. The beds are very comfortable too. We were with friends and had 3 rooms between us. All rooms were excellent. There is a coffee/hot chocolate/tea machine in the reception area you can use any time - and tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms themselves too. It was great being able to relax with a hot drink before bed with our friends after a tiring day seeing the sights. The breakfast was advertised as continental but there was a great choice cereals yoghurt fruit toast and pastries too. Even eggs. We will definitely use this hotel again for our next visit to London. Thank you to all the staff who were always busy and making sure everything ran smoothly. A great stay with our friends from Australia.

"Nice Hotel with a nice location"
hanigigimegaly, 24 Juin 2019

Nice & clean Hotel with a nice location ... close to everything. Staff members are helpful, Breakfast needs to be improved. rooms are small but clean. Lighting in the room is very good. not a bad choice for a reasonable accommodation.

"Great location"
Navigate05793040946, 22 Juin 2019

Great location. Hotel very clean staff friendly . Had a hairdryer which worked well. Forgot glasses but staff kept them and we picked them up later the same day we were shattered as spent the day in ascot so staff offered us a coffee and a seat till we was ready to go in our way

"Bit basic"
geoffy694, 10 Juin 2019

Stayed here early June and then again 1 week later. The first time had a room on the second floor which was small but o/k. The second time we end up with a room on the 6th floor which is actually below ground floor. Also the English language is not clear from most staff. Anything requested quite possibly will need to be followed up. Not the best stay we have had.

"Soooo noisy"
Roving18038473386, 27 Mai 2019

Don't stay here it's too noisy with the nearby train station. For £200 a night it's really poor value. The location is good in terms of it being central but if you can't sleep what is the point. It was clean however. The staff were also friendly.

"Clean convenient hotel"
Pauline W, 26 Mai 2019

We stayed 2 nights for Chelsea Flower Show. The room was 'cosy' but clean and comfortable. Well serviced, with tea and coffee in room. Breakfast - continental @£6 was more than acceptable. 2 minute walk to coach and bus station (very helpful staff) and 5 minutes to tube. We would certainly visit again. Recommend 'About Thyme' for evening meal - short walk.

"Comfort inn"
Vacationer621019, 23 Mai 2019

I have just spent 2 nights in this hotel and found it to be an excellent choice. The room was very spacious, very clean and well appointed in respect of clothes hanging space and tea/coffee availability. Bathroom was very clean, walk-in shower always supplied ample hot water. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Chelsea area.

"Iman at Buckingham Palace"
GoPlaces60616605703, 15 Mai 2019

We arrived the day before and had a refreshing stay before we went o Buckingham Palace what a memorable two days. The sleep and service made the whole trip much more pleasurable. The location was ideal and did not require expensive taxis.

"Very nice stay"
Daydream10485772379, 08 Mai 2019

Welcoming hotel with all the facilities. Just round the corner from London victoria Coach Station, super! Clean and spacious room, it was a surprise compared to London average. Will stay there again, highly recommended!

"Excellent hotel, great location and good price for London"
HappyAussie, 07 Mai 2019

We stayed on the 6th floor down in the basement and it was very quite. Our room was very clean with good Wifii and good shower. I requested a room accessible by lift as we cannot do stairs too much. The staff were very helpful and we found the continental breakfast more than sufficient for our needs, plenty of choice from cereal, yoghurt, pastries, boiled eggs, toast, juice etc etc. Free hot drinks were available from the machine any time of the day and according to my husband who likes his coffee, it was quite good. Hotels in London and I thought this was good value in a nice area, close to Vic Station and the coach station. It is about a 20 minute walk to Buckingham Palace for us oldies. Also there is a great shopping centre close to the station with a supermarket, pharmacy and lots of other stores. Upstairs there are lots of cafes. Would definitely stay here again.

"Poor offering for the price"
David A, 05 Mai 2019

Room was *tiny*, massively overpriced for what it was and located across the street in another building - only a single bed, but barely enough room to move/turn around; certainly no room for baggage etc...and you could hear the rumbling of trrains passing underground. Breakfast was a simple/underwhelming 'continental' affair, with awful instant coffee served from a machine. WiFi was slow and unreliable. I won't be in a hurry to stay here again.

"Not so ‘Comfort Inn”"
CallumR1994, 29 Avril 2019

On arrival, we were greeted by receptionist staff who had told us that our hotel would be across the road, when it was in fact down a shanty street and placed next to an off license. The condition of the room was well below expected and nothing like the pictures show on their online content. There was a large area (see picture) of damp on the roof and an over powering stench of smell coming from the room and I was in a state of disbelief. As a sufferer of asthma I could not contemplate sitting in here never mind paying £250 to sleep in it for 2 nights. When I approached the staff to change room they obliged without even asking any questions after I had shown them the picture, which makes me think this happens a lot! Stay away!

"Excellent Value"
Hampo1964, 21 Avril 2019

Very good location 5/6 minute walk from Victoria railway station or 30 seconds from Victoria bus station. The hotel has recently been refurbished and looks very nice. The bedrooms are very comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is an excellent place to stay for a few days if you are sightseeing. Would recommend.
