We had the Indian Afternoon Tea. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. Would do again
Reserved afternoon tea at Soho Wala. Ramadan was really kind and polite throughout our experience. Thank you for having us.
We had such a lovely afternoon at Court House Hotel in Soho enjoying afternoon tea. The whole experience was wonderful and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to our waiter, Ramadan, who was absolutely fantastic. He was so friendly, attentive and thoughtful throughout our visit. He even kindly surprised my son with a cake, which was such a lovely gesture and really made his day. It's the little touches like this that make an experience truly memorable. Ramadan provided excellent service and went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely time. Thank you to Ramadan and the whole team at Court House Hotel for such a wonderful afternoon. We will definitely be back!
Great location for theatres and shopping. Nice welcome on arrival. Room was very clean. Hotel has its own ‘Sky Bar' - staff were particularly friendly and attentive. Breakfast was a disappointment - buffet style, no coffee available on arrival - had to wait around 10 minutes for urn to be refilled!, cooked items were only warm and staff attitude was poor. Shame as this let the hotel down. Otherwise a well presented hotel with a helpful front of house team and nice clean rooms. Location is the bonus!
Food was lovely, Ramanan was very helpful and attentive would recommend
Excellent service especially Ramadan
Our go-to London hotel. We book direct and love coming here. Fantastic staff in an unbelievably good location. Thank you for looking after us again and apologies that I was a bit grumpy about wanting twin beds, all your rooms are absolutely superb. Beautifully run hotel at great value with professional and warm staff.
Good location and nicely decorated rooms. Lovely afternoon tea with freshly made sandwiches, warm scones and a selection of mini desserts. Served by the friendly & efficient Ramadan.
Lovely experience with excellent service from our waiter Ramadan. Thank you!
We had a lovely afternoon tea and would especially like to mention our waiter, Ramadan. He was incredibly welcoming, polite and attentive throughout our visit. His friendly and professional manner really added to the experience and made us feel very well looked after. Thank you, Ramadan, for helping to make our afternoon so enjoyable!
Lovely afternoon tea which brightened up a rainy Sunday, served by Ramadan and Bhagwan.
We dined in at Soho wala restaurant. Lovely service. Bhawna was very kind! Loved the food. 10/10!
Booked an afternoon tea and service is amazing with Clive and Bhawna. The scones were slightly dry, otherwise the rest was tasting good. Good service and clean throughout.
Lovely afternoon tea, Bhawana was an attentive and friendly host, thanks to all
Excellent service, thank you Hawna
Amazing time had at afternoon tea thanks to Ramadan!! Great service and food.
Wonderful experience at Courthouse. Great hospitality by Bhavna. Will certainly recommend and will come back here soon.
Fantastic service from Ramadan and Bhanna - thank you so much for making our birthdays very special
Booked this hotel for an overnight theatre visit. The facilities are impressive, the staff very helpful and the rooms extensively fully equipped. Everything was is working order and in good repair. The hotel building itself is historic and spacious, plus this hotel is ideally located near London's theatre land and Soho. Highly recommend.
Great service from Bhawna and delicious food, thank you!
Great experience Bhawna could not help us more, she was friendly and attentive to our needs
Bhawna was excellent with our service. A really vibrant girl who was always smiling. A credit to the hotel.
Lovely experience, good atmosphere and lovely afternoon tea
Not bad and good selection. Service was great, Ramadan was attentive and made us feel welcome. Would have liked to have more natural light in the room.
Great location and a nice atmosphere. Ramadan was our host and was super polite and helpful, he made our experience 10/10!!
Fantastic and attentive service from Ramadan today! Very tasty afternoon tea
Recently visited the Courthouse Hotel for afternoon tea and had such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely amazing, and the little cakes were especially delicious. 🍰 A special thank you to Bhawna, who went above and beyond to cater to my dietary needs. She was so attentive and thoughtful, regularly checking to make sure everything was okay. Her amazing service really made the experience extra special. Would definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ramadans service was suspended a real gentleman who was very experienced and professional.
An excellent hotel. I don't know why some people have described the rooms as ‘dated' because ours was beautiful. We went at the time of extreme heatwave and the air-conditioning in the room was spot-on, and beautifully quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and the Sky TV was more than adequate. One small complaint was that the safe couldn't be programmed but they got Maintenance onto that immediately. We didn't try the main restaurant but the food in the Sky Bar was good, and the breakfast was exceptional. The biggest buffet I've ever seen, with excellent hot and cold choices. All the staff that dealt with us were friendly and helpful . Will definitely come back.
Was a lovely afternoon tea, the service from Bhawna was excellent!
It was a friendly relaxed environment with very good food. The sandwiches included coronation chicken and salmon. Our waiter, Ramadan, was courteous and efficient, providing non-alcoholic substitutes for the champagne. A very pleasant Wednesday afternoon.
Hussain, kesang and Niki showed me a an amazing time
Ramadan was lovely and provided great service. Enjoyed our afternoon tea. Would recommend.
This place is amazing with great food. Bhawna has been amazing throughout, loved how comfortable she made our team feel. Will definitely revisit, best wishes Bhawna.
We love soho wala a lot. The food and service is amazing. The staffs were so friendly and welcoming. One of them came to us and helped us to choose the food. She was so sweet and friendly. Her name is Bhawna. We really appreciate her service. Thank you .
Had a lovely time at the restaurant l. The afternoon tea was lovely - just hit the spot after an afternoon cruise along the Thames. Clive was extremely helpful when we couldn't find our voucher - very patient and empathetic. Bhawana was also friendly.
Was bought an afternoon tea experience at the Soho Wala from our daughters. What a lovely experience it was. Ramadan was a friendly, curtious and laid back host. Made our experience very relaxed and enjoyable. We was able to dine at own pace. Would highly recommend and would like to dine here again when visiting London next.,highly recommend to everyone
We held an event at The Courthouse Hotel this week and it couldn't have gone better. A huge thank you to Rina, our event planner, who was brilliant from start to finish. She was always helpful, organised and quick to respond, and made the whole process feel easy. The staff on the day were all fantastic too – friendly, hardworking and incredibly efficient. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The 100-seat cinema was absolutely perfect for our presentations, and afterwards everyone loved the bar area. The three original holding cells have been turned into great little spaces where people could chat in smaller groups, while the lobby just outside the bar gave people somewhere quieter to have longer conversations. It worked brilliantly as a networking venue. The canapés were excellent and went down very well with our guests. The location is another big plus – it's just around the corner from Oxford Circus Underground station, so it's incredibly easy for people to get to. We had such a positive experience that I really hope we'll be back to host future events here. I'd happily recommend The Courthouse Hotel to anyone looking for a distinctive, well-run venue in central London.
Me and my life partner enjoyed afternoon tea together which was a present for Christmas. Our waiter Ramadan who served us the entire stay was amazing and his attention to detail and customer service was outstanding. Would definitely recommend
Bhawna provided excellent service. The team were happy to accommodate all of our needs with a smile. Very tasty sandwiches and cakes. Thank you
39th Wedding Anniversary lovely afternoon tea and Ramadan wins the day again, he is lost here and needs to be in a 5 Star restaurant where could shine even more. Thank you for your service.👏👍
Ramadan was a brilliant host and the food was delicious would definitely recommend to family
Nice building just off Oxford Circus. 30 second walk off the strip but feels like a mile away totally different ambience. Hotel looks good with reception showing us straight into the small but cosy resistant / bar area. Tables nice and waiter friendly. Food took some time to arrive but probably because scones were warm and appeared to be cooked fresh. Nice touch. We were given water & champagne straight away and tea with our food when it arrived. Salmon finger & coronation chicken sandwiches were well filled but cucumber & egg / cress were a little thin and not well filled. Scones and cakes were nice with particular mention to the ‘Summer Fruit of Forest Financier' which was particularly nice! I overheard a nearby table say the same thing so not just me. My partner told the hotel we were coming for her birthday so they gave us an additional slice of chocolate cake which was a nice touch but unfortunately it was quite dry! 4 stars but if they could sort out the minor niggles it could be 5 stars. Waiter (Ramadan) was very friendly and hospitable offering us extra tea / coffee if we wanted it. Would return again.
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. I was welcomed and my checkin was smooth. It was very hot and chose this hotel due to location, aircon and the pool. Room was a great size, but furniture is dated and needs updating. I tried to call room service but the phone in the room wasn't working. I also had this issue last time I stayed. I used my own phone to call reception and I was bounced around between people and then waited for a length of time as I think they were trying to connect me to room service. I think I was speaking to the concierge who then took my order and passed it on. Food arrived and was fine but lacked presentation. Reception offered to have someone to come and look at the phone but after a very long day I didn't want the interruption. I didn't end up using the pool.At checkout the receptionist was very despondent and seemed busy so wanted me processed and out! She barely looked at me and her last mumbled words were 'OK your done" which I presume was my checkout was complete ! As a 5 star hotel, these little things ,even just friendly reception staff, go a long way to ensuring guest wish to return to the hotel.
The hotel is really not 5 stars. The room doesn't have expected amenities such as a luggage rack, an iron or toiletries beyond shampoo and lotion. Eg we asked for some cotton sticks and a shower cap and that's not something the hotel has. It's just not what you expect from 5 stars… the pool also looks much more basic and crammed vs pictures, it's good to have it but overall doesn't give a very relaxing impression. Also at reception the staff are ok but they lack basic service skills eg telling you how to get to your room.. we ended up take an elevator right next to reception which led to some staff quarters and nobody thought to just point us to a way to find our room. All doesn't take away from the fact that room was comfy, bed and AC were super, but don't expect 5 starts in any way
A really boring and expensive Hotel
Great food, attentive service, would come back
Fantastic experience. Great venue. Ramadan was a wonderful host.
Travelers, please beware. Bathrooms here have only a tub/shower combination, with no grab bars for safety other than one bar that is fixed down low, on the tub itself. This makes taking a shower somewhat precarious, because the tub bottom surface is extremely slippery, meaning slips and falls within, and climbing into and out of, the shower are a real risk. There are no rubber tub mats offered, no adhesive skid strips, no other safety elements to mitigate the dangerous and slippery tub surfaces. I tried to bring this up with hotel leadership but was shot down and informed that they are "in compliance." So please, just be careful if you want to stay at this three-star (at best) establishment, despite its very kind staff. As an added note, my room had no closet. Nice. Even a great location can't make up for missing the basics that a traveler has the right to expect, including guest safety and a closet.
This was very old and in need of a fog of makeover. Tv didn't work - ironing board standing in room. No slip mat for bath shower. Bar closed up early breakfast was awful service was zero. Tea and coffee in room was just 2teabags it was just not 5stsr level at all and we have visited many 5 star hotels in London this is definitely not one of them
I really enjoyed everything by myself. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience what they offer. Thank you so very much to the spa team and Mr Ramadan at the restaurant for my afternoon tea. I am so glad and fully satisfied.
Great experience in the soho wala resturant today, staff was friendly and welcoming. Staff member Ramadan was very welcoming and accommodating to our requirements and needs
Excellent afternoon tea, the waiter was more than happy to change our sandwiches, we also don't drink so where given free soft drinks, would definitely return. As special thank you to Ramadan for looking after us.
Such a lovely afternoon tea, asked to change sandwiches and our waiter was more than happy to change them , me and my friend don't drink so was given free soft drinks, such great service very attentive and helpful. A special thanks to Ramadan for looking after us such a lovely man.
Checked into our room, the TV had no sound, the fridge in the room didn't work, the jacuzzi bath did not work, the air conditioning did not work. The room was so hot and stuffy we barely slept! When we reported all this and they sent a maintenance man who who fiddled with the TV wires to get the sound and was unable to do anything else with rest of the broken items. The following day they changed our room. I requested a refund for the first night as it was not what we paid for or expected and they offered us a discount on a future stay even though I made it plainly clear I would not be returning, so a very hollow gesture. Asked again for a refund for the first night and they said the circumstances did not warrant it. Not sure how much worse it would of had to of been! This is certainly NOT a 5 star hotel when it comes to facilities or customer service
Amazing afternoon tea and what a wonderful waiter in Ramanan. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful experience. We stopped for champagne afternoon tea. Food was amazing, cakes lovely and Ramadan was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend 👌
I hope the hotel take on board the feedback and try and implement some of the changes! The hotel is no where near five stars which is disappointing and arguably deceiving! At best it's three star! The spa ladies changing rooms were shocking 😮 not five star one shower that was falling to bits! The pool was ok but too shallow No slippers to go with the robes or a towel provided at the spa reception, you had to take your own! Again a five star hotel would provide slippers towels and the changing rooms and shower facilities would be excellent ! These were 2 star at best ! We booked a superior king it advertise a mini bar which wasn't in our room! I also advised it was my husbands birthday, so was hoping the hotel would have arranged a small gift given the money I paid! But there was nothing! In a positive note the beds were really comfortable and the room was clean but again basic no biscuits or coffee machine just instant coffee and tea! Air con was good also ! In a lot of hotels it never works ! The lifts were really bad and scruffy one was out of order all weekend! The main reception area again was not five star at best three ! I think the hotel overall has some positives like location comfy beds but all other services were three star at best and this should be reflected in their prices and stars so people know what they are buying! Overall quite disappointing but it was a good base for central London Soho !
spacious rooms but broken bathroom
Calm, clean and inviting atmosphere with very attentive staff, especially Ramadan who ensured our dietary requirements were met perfectly.
Lumi Spa experience A very disappointing experiance apart from the massage which was reasonable. However facilities anything but luxurious or relaxing. Changing room small and poorly designed. Only seating is directly in front the lockers which is uncomfortable when more then two people in the room. There is only one tiny shower cubicle. Small and smelled damp. Main shower head did not work only hand held part which fluturated from freezing cold to boiling hot. Plus no privacy as glass door open to already small changing room. The pool was old and dirty. Sauna the same, small and old. The glass of proscecco was left untouched as glass looked worst for wear. The deco tired and tacky. Cheap robes and nasty old towels. Not worth the money at all. General feeling of being dirty. Not impressed at all.
Service was excellent, Ramadan was a great host
Very pleasant experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Ramadan and the rest of the team were super attentive and friendly. Would come back again for champagne afternoon tea.
Hotel is in an excellent location, clean and service excellent. Special mention to Ramadan who provided exceptional service at breakfast, ensuring the kitchen accommodated my preferred choice and even arranging a takeaway coffee to suit my busy day. Thank you.
Great afternoon at the Courthouse hotel for a champagne afternoon tea with my daughter. Great friendly service from Ramadan with lovely food served. Eaten too much 😂 Now could do with an afternoon nap 😴
Stayed for 1 night on business, was excellent. Special thank you to Ishika on Reservations team for taking care of me. All the staff were helpful and the hotel is lovely and perfectly located for travel into Liverpool street, Moorgate and central london.
Wow, happy to charge 5 star prices, this is soooooo disappointing! I can work with dated, but this was beyond dated shabby is an understatement.
This is not a 5 star hotel , stayed one night , room standard with bathroom very outdated , ordered breakfast to room delivered cold and when sent again overcooked food
I WENT TO SOHO WALA THE EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD THE FOOD WAS 10/10. RAMADAN WAS THE ICING ON THE CAKE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. ASK FOR HIM IF YOU VISIT. I will definitely go again.
A lovely afternoon tea, with wonderful service. Huge thanks to our waiter who made it such a lovely experience. Thank you
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that you had such a lovely afternoon tea and that the service made your experience extra special. Your appreciation means a great deal to us, and we'll be sure to pass on you thanks to your waiter. We hope to welcome you back again soon for another memorable visit. Warm Regards, Guest Relations.
We stayed in room 508, which is a superior room, upon entry one of the first thing that catches your eye was the tea tray, which resembled a budget high street hotel chain, 2x of each budget condiments. The cable was hanging down from the Sky box and damaged therefore no TV. Into the bathroom and we later found that the only way of flushing the toilet was to pump the handle. The bed was comfortable but when you put your head onto the pillows you ended up with "ear muffs" they were so soft. Down to breakfast at 8am where we were the waiter explained that there was a cold continental selection and warm buffet, none of which was a 5* selection. When we came to the warm section, the bacon both looked and tasted like it had been cooked the night before and the sausage was anaemic and processed...horrible. On check out, we were asked if we had enjoyed our stay, so I informed the Duty Manager of our observations and issues, he apologised and said that he would file a report to the Customer Service Team and they would phone me the following day, Monday, nine days later and seven phone calls, eventually requesting to speak to the General Manager absolutley no one has rung me to discuss this stay, in fact one Duty Manager said that it's not Company policy to talk to guests. So to conclude, if you are looking for a 5* hotel experience with a caring Management Team then look else where!

They even had large slice of chocolate cake to wish a friend Happy Birthday 🎂 Thank you 😊 I will definately make this our afternoon tea go to. A Truly Memorable Stay. From the moment we arrived, the Courthouse Hotel impressed with its perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Our room was spacious, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel genuinely welcome. The location is ideal — just steps from shopping, dining, and the West End theatres. Every detail, from the cozy lobby to the rooftop terrace, added to an unforgettable London experience. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

Service and food were good [Ramadan was very attentive & helpful), but not in the environment / venue we expected for afternoon tea [Soho Wala not Courthouse Hotel]. A bit random if I'm honest.
Absolutely disgusting service!!! We booked a table for family drinks and cocktails. I told them we have teenagers in a group and they said it was ok to book to the table. We arrived and was told they could not accommodate us, first they lied about speaking to us then another colleague admitted to speaking to us and he had made a mistake. So it's 8.30pm we have no other back up in central London, we have 5 children and an elderly mum who hadn't eaten in hours and were Turned away and not offered anything for messing us around! Absolutely disgusting
Dear Meera D Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed, but we would like to clarify a few key points. Our venue has a clear 18+ policy, which is prominently displayed on all our booking platforms and communicated by our staff when enquiries are made. This is due to the nature of our services, including the use of shisha, which makes the environment unsuitable for children or teenagers. When you called ahead, our staff correctly informed you that we could not accommodate guests under 18. Upon arrival, our team politely reiterated this policy and, in good faith, offered your group alternative seating in our downstairs restaurant or in the hotel lobby both of which were declined. We always do our best to be transparent and accommodating, and our staff acted respectfully and within policy throughout. We regret that your visit did not go as planned, but we must emphasize that all relevant information was clearly communicated in advance. We kindly ask that reviews reflect the full and accurate context, as this helps ensure fairness to both future guests and our team. Kind regards,
Very welcoming staff, food was excellent and was a amazing deal with the Virgin Experience voucher. Very happy to go back again!
After eating afternoon tea at the ritz and savoy the setting is less luxurious , however I would say the food is comparable, and certainly cheaper, Ramadan our waiter was great , friendly and attentive, overall happy with everything, the setting was just not quite what I expected
Absolutely amazing service and food Nothing was too much trouble for Ramadan our waiter. Sandwiches were fresh and delicious. Scones were warm and yummy. Decor amazing and ambience spot on Lovely relaxing afternoon tea with bubbles I'm not a dessert person but the desserts were to die for
