Best Western Corona Hotel & Suites

Extremely poor maintenance, cleanliness, and security. Our stay was highly disappointing due to severe issues with hygiene, service, and safety: Cleanliness: The room had a noticeable odor, and the bathroom had visible mold on the walls. Cockroaches were also present on the outdoor patio area. Lack of Service: When our toilet clogged, staff simply handed us a plunger to fix it ourselves. Later, when requesting fresh bedding, we were given a set of sheets to change ourselves; the replacement linens were stained and had visible cigarette burns. No Security or Regulation: The property feels completely unsecured. The free breakfast area and the pool were constantly overrun by non-guests from the local area, creating an overcrowded, loud environment with unchecked alcohol consumption. Lobby Standards: General management oversight is missing. We even witnessed a guest using a public standing shelf in the main lobby to change a baby's diaper with no intervention from the staff.Management needs to urgently address these basic sanitation and security standards. I do not recommend staying here. Dear Guest Relations Manager,Thank you for your response. While I appreciate that you are looking into the mold, odor, and pest issues with your housekeeping team, your response reads like a generic template and fails to address the specific, highly unacceptable situations we encountered.Specifically, you did not address:Unsanitary Bedding & Forced Self-Service: Your front desk handed us replacement sheets covered in visible stains and cigarette burns, and expected us to change our own bedding.Total Lack of Facility Regulation: The pool area and free breakfast were completely overrun by local non-guests, creating a chaotic and completely un-secure environment for paying customers.Severe Public Health Violation: No action or comment was made regarding a woman using a standing decorative shelf in your main lobby to change a dirty diaper right in front of your staff.Apologies and promises to "review policies" do not make up for a completely ruined stay where we had to act as our own maintenance crew and housekeepers. Given the severe health hazards, complete lack of security, and nonexistent customer service, I am requesting a full refund for our stay.I look forward to your prompt response regarding the processing of this refund.

When I come to town, this is the only hotel I'll stay at. This was my 3rd time in 18 months staying there. Even though it's not the least expensive and is 15 mins away from relatives house, I find it clean and comfortable.

I did not feel safe at this hotel. Transients and drug addicts are in the parking area. No security. Room smelled like mold. It was late we had no other options all area hotels were booked. We were there for my daughters soccer tournament. Never again.

The Best Western Corona CA hotel is situated conveniently just off highway CA-91. It is easy to get on and off CA-91, whether heading further into Riverside or towards Orange County. The hotel is fairly large and two story with plenty of parking on all sides. The only downfall is the area is fairly desolate around the hotel (no stores or restaurants), aside from a gas station, and does appear a tad questionable for the neighbors nearby (such as a massage/tobacco place on one side and a defunct hotel-turned homeless/low income building on the other side, both of those being separated from the Best Western property by large enough paved areas and hedges). For the 5 days I stayed at the end of February 2026 with a car rental parked each night, I did not have, observe or hear of any issues outside. The Best Western Corona CA hotel is well kept and impressively clean for the age of the hotel. There is a sizable center courtyard and a pool/hot tub area. The room (231) I stayed in was large with a king bed near the bathroom area in the rear, a center island kitchenette (microwave, small fridge, coffee pot, bar sink), a gas fireplace and a large 60” TV (with cable), and a sleeper couch. The room and contents were above average for cleanliness (dusted and wiped down well) and had no discernible odor, dust or mold (none in the bathroom). The HVAC worked well to heat and cool the room and there were no musty smells when in use. The water pressure and hot water was good. The toilet flushed great and the sinks and tub/shower drained as quick as the water flowed which demonstrates that maintenance is being done. The bedding was clean and linen white and good non-fragrant. The bed was okay with the mattress firm but comfortable enough and no bed squeaking; though the pillows were a bit uncomfortable compressed too much because they did not have enough fill. The only real negatives I noted were the obvious carpet stains and how dirty my sandal soles got after walking in the carpet for the time I was in the room, the mineral buildup in the shower head and sink faucets, some of the room decor is getting a bit used and needing either to be freshened up or have some items replaced, and the noise from very loud vehicles on the road running parallel to the hotel rod could be heard at times. I had read multiple reviews about how good the Best Western Corona CA's included daily breakfast was and I have to agree this was one of the best breakfast offerings I have had when staying at a Best Western. They provided a great variety of food options, all plentiful and tasty: hot food consisted of eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, batter made waffles; cold food consisted of fresh fruit (banana clementines), cereals, breads to toast or not, small pastries, yogurt; beverages of coffee, tea, juice, milk; condiments of salsa, syrup, whipping cream, dried cranberries, walnuts and butter. The food area and seating is spacious and laid out well with the staff attentive to putting out the food and maintaining cleanliness. But note they keep the front door locked, except by hotel card key during breakfast time…. All the hotel staff (those working the desk, providing the breakfast and doing housecleaning) were friendly, attentive and helpful when needed. During the 5 days I stayed at the hotel, there seemed to be more guests staying each day with the most people I encountered on Saturday. I would recommend the Best Western Corona CA hotel for a stay, especially during the time I was there (late February).

Absolutely awful. Stayed there four nights and son couldn't use playstation for online gaming cause the internet was so awful. Disgusting bathroom with black mold on wall, fan barely hanging from ceiling, no staff to bring things to your room, horrible cell phone service all over the property, leaking refrigerator that got all over my clothes, no cleaning of our room when staying there four nights. Breakfast was the same every morning and was also pitiful.

We love Best Western Hotels. My husband and I have been traveling across several states over the past 3 months. We were originally booking Airbnb's, but having encountered a few issues, we decided to book a hotel. Once we discovered Best Western and their Rewards program, we have chosen to stay with them every night. There was one exception in one of the cities where we stayed, but after booking, we regretted that we had not chosen Best Western again. Of all of the Best Western Hotels where we have stayed, I would place the Best Western Corona Hotel & Suites, and the Best Western Cartwright Hotel in San Francisco at the very top of the list. Both of these hotels were of exceptional quality and value! I highly recommend going Best Western whenever and wherever it is an option. The rooms are always clean, and the staff is always friendly!!! With the rewards program, we already earned two free night's stay in less than 2 months.

We were at this property for 5 nights. Pet-friendly room was very spacious, comfortable, very clean & quiet. Beds & pillows were great & water was hot. Breakfast was a little better than normal fare. The TV selection was sub-standard & seemed to change with the day of the week. There were no movie channels & evey channel had advertisings. which was annoying. We were there for a stressful even so we'd have liked to have more options for relaxing television. The location was a bit questionable & there was no security but overall we might stay there again.

Serious flaws with the room. When getting ready in the morning, I discovered in the morning that the shower was non-functional - when I pulled up the lever, the tub spout shot across the tub (it made a funny video which I may post). The tub spout was not screwed in and appears to have been only held in place by caulk. Moreover, when I went to shave, there was cold water but the faucet did not dispense any water when turned to hot. The good news is that since my last stay a few months ago, Best Western had replaced the magnetic key cards (which often would demagnetize) with RFID cards that now work reliably. It was a good-sized room at a reasonable price but these defects are not acceptable.

Very clean room and great customer service. Husband was able to breath and get lots of rest at night.loved the breakfast and the staff was super helpful,and friendly. Wasn't able to use the pool due to been short on time and it been a bit dirty.

Drugs addicts and a lot of crime at night and I will never stay again police always on parking lot arresting some one drug addicts hanging out and the breakfast line was like skidd row and I was told it was vegan options for breakfast no and they smell bad in rooms

Great place to stay for the value. Conveniently located right off the freeway and 15 minutes from the CBU campus, if visiting a student. Our room was clean, quiet & has no cigarette smell. The pool was sparkling and the grounds were well kept. The staff was incredibly polite and accommodating. Hot breakfast buffet options were included.

The bed is not too soft and the pillows are very comfortable. It's a pet-friendly hotel and my dog ​​was very relaxed and happy here. The hotel is not very new, but it is very clean, the breakfast is rich, there is a swimming pool and a laundry room.

Very clean room. Huge space for a great price. The bed was comfy and had clean bedding! I love that they provided complimentary make up remover wipes and big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The wet bar was pretty cool too! I like how it divided the room. I'd recommend anyone to stay here.

Free breakfast, Clean pool and rooms but most importantly the staff was hands down the best in quality!! Definitely coming back!

I normally don't like to stay at BW. Decided to stay here for a soccer tournament weekend. It was a pleasant surprise! We were back from another tournament and this time my entire soccer team booked. Everyone had great things to say about their experience. The consensus is this will be the hotel of choice for all future tournaments. It had everything our team needed to mingle, swim, etc. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. My only complaint is that it needs a bar stool or something at the bar area in the room. Overall, just a great experience. Thank you!

This facility desperately needs refurbishment. Carpet smelled. Towels small & hard. No fitted bottom sheets so it fell apart. Breakfast was challenging with tables not being cleaned, waffle batter dispenser falling apart, having to ask for decaf, having to guess time on waffles, and no fruit out. Very disappointed!

I cannot leave a good review for this hotel due to the poor condition of each room and the lack of concern by the staff when informed of a problem with the rooms. I will not be returning to this hotel.

Stayed for a Conference in the area. Pleased with stay. Great Breakfast with good variety of food options. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Very clean room. Right off the Freeway. Good parking. Will definitely stay here again!

Overall an excellent hotel for the money, you can tell the owners really care about the property and it showed. My room was clean and spacious. I had a small wet bar and refrigerator with microwave. There was a nice large flat panel TV in the room. You enter the rooms from the outside. There are no interior hallways depending on where you are in the hotel. The ice machines are a bit far. Breakfast has a good selection of items, there was no potato option, but there was pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage and bacon, as well as the standard bread and yogurt. I would've liked bagels on the breakfast buffet, but was not a dealbreaker.

The actual room here was amazing and by far the nicest I have ever seen at a best western. It was very classy, spacious, clean, and the bed/pillows were amazingly comfortable. The place had its quirks though. The guy who checked us was not very friendly or welcoming at all. They also had a pretty minimal/lame pet area that was very far from room and never restocked pet bags over the several days we stayed there. they had no decaf coffee either which is odd for the chain. The area has lots of food but was a bit sketchy. I saw one homeless guy sleeping in back get chased off by cops and watched 2 other guys on bikes checking car doors in parking lot to see if they were open in the early hours. Still, quirks aside, it was a great stay and amazing room for the value - just don't leave anything of value in your car

Passing thru and needed a place to sleep. This place is not as pictured. It's dingy and just uncomfortable to stay at. Not clean and the doors/gates didn't work so it was very frustrating to get in and out.

Booked this place based on positive reviews, location, and having breakfast. We got in a little late and only had a couple hours sleep the night befor...so we were extremely tired.The room was hot 94 outside but quickly cooled off with the AC. We decided to hit the pool and hot tub before it closed. Pool seemed freezing but attributed to the hot air outside. The hot tub was a little warmer but was expecting to be warmer. There was a film of dirt in the layer of bubbles, so we left to go shower and then sleep. When we woke up my wife said she felt like something but her leg and had a red spot. We went for breakfast which was OK. Coffee was watered down and ran out. The waffle batter ran out and I tried to inform the worker the batter was empty. She pointed to the little refrigerator and said the butter was inside. I said no butter...batter for waffles. She just looked at me. I gave up. We went back to our room and my wife noticed some blood on the sheets on my side and asked if I had hurt myself. I said no but started looking at the sheets and noticed another blood stain. Then another...but upon closer inspection this wasn't a blood stain.. it was a bug...a tick maybe? Not sure. Checked out and advised of the blood and bug but the clerk didn't seem to care. I showed her pics, but what struck me she didn't seem surprised or even offer an apology. She said I would have to talk to the manager. OK I said. She said she's not there. I asked her to call me and when she would be working. "Maybe tomorrow or Monday." No clue. Not holding my breath. Wouldn't recommend. Steer clear.

5 stars!! Wonderful hotel! Great value. And great rate for 3 nights stayed. Was able to check in early. Super clean rooms, smell good. Many food options. Very quite! Fast wifi. Everything was very clean. Best hotel I have ever stayed at!!

We stayed here while visiting family in California. This hotel is just off the 91 freeway. When you arrive be sure to ring the door bell for the front desk to unlock the door and let you into the lobby. Our room came with a Full Breakfast. Breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles , and potatoes. They also had cereal, fruit, yogurt and pastries. This was great to grab a bite to eat. They had plenty of seating inside and out side on a covered patio (closes at 10pm) which also had an outdoor fireplace and BBQ station. The outdoor pool and spa was great open 10am-10pm. Our room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink in the kitchenette area. A desk, King bed, Tv, iron and Iron board. NO hair dryer so keep that in mind. The bathroom was handicap accessible so walk in shower with full bench and wand shower and plenty of hand rails to grab. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. Only complaint we had was what ever they mopped the hard wood floors with in the room left them sticky so be sure to take a shoe or house shoe to wear the whole time your in your room. A great place for family or couples..

We have stayed here often. This Best Western is Dog Friendly, CLEAN, Convenient, at a fair price. Their free breakfast is superior to most others. I especially like the fact there are rooms with no carpets and In-room amenities (tv, fridge, microwave, coffee maker) are all great, though a few more channels would be nice. They are more than a 4 but less than a 5.

I have stayed here several times on my way to Palm Springs projects. It is an easy drive to the desert without having to do the traffic and the miles in the evening. The property is what we have come to expect from the BW brand name.

A little awkward to get to, and parking isn't convenient to the rooms, but definitely worth the effort. Clean, well-appointed rooms. Quiet. Friendly staff. I have stayed here twice now and will definitely be back.

Thanks for the help with the Spa and the Barbeque, Employes were courteous and professional. Spa was clean and the pool area was in good condition. Loved the barbeque area. If the opportunity arises, we will stay again!

Rooms are so clean. No odors what soccer. Hardwood floors. King suite 330sq ft was perfect. Couch, bed bench, desk and chair, Island attached to the wall with fridge/freezer combo, coffeemaker, microwave and sink. Bathroom was super clean. Linens were of ample size. Bed was a king. Firm. HVAC unit was satisfactory. Grounds were kept up very well. Right off W 6 Street exit of the 91

Upon checking in the room smelt strongly of smoke and marijuana. We had a King Suite and the sofa bed had no bedding. We went to the front desk to request a new room and were denied rudely. My experience was poor, heading back to the room where I had to gag and almost throw up feeling sick for hours.

bottom line this place is ok but will charge you for a room then claim they made a error and not tell you then charge you a smaller fee of 40-60 in the middle of the night and wil give you a excuse of the front desk maid a error now you are stuck with a fee or fee agreed on.

Best western is probably the least exciting time to stay at due to customer service is hit and miss more like a mess and every room I stayed it I've had to scrub clean and remove other peoples body fluids pubic hairs and make up all over the towels

This hotel is nice and very quaint. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. The surroundings gives you a feel of the wilderness. The amenities are good. The pool/courtyard is nicely landscaped. Front desk staff Keile was exceptional. She was very professional, caring and listened to my needs. I would stay here again.

This hotel is one of my favorite to go to they have friendly staff who are helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is the best I had compared to other hotels I have been to. What a great experience.

I enjoy this location. The area is beautiful with fuel, fast food, restaurants, grocery, and 91 freeway right here. The staff is usually very nice. They offer a continental breakfast which is good and internet which I had no issues with, yay! I come here at least once a year for many years.

Staff was great. Make sure to ask for the rooms without carpet. The orginal room they put us in the carpet was gross and we requested non smoking but the room smelled like strong smoke. We called the front desk and they were able to move us right of way. In our new room the toilet was clogged we called front desk they made me go get the plunger and do the fixing myself and return the plunger back to the lobby. I guess they don't have a maintenance person? Either way the staff was great but little hickups

Great location easy to get in and out of Interstate. Big room, lots of space to move around. Had lots of great options for breakfast. Save us at least $60-&70 dollars if we would of ate at Denny's. Great court yard with BBQ area and pool. We'll be staying here again for sure.

The housekeeping staff hit my parked car with the towel cart in the parking lot. She apologized that she damaged my car with dent and chipped and said that the towel cart brake is broken. The day after I called the hotel manager About this incident. Manager said that the housekeeper confessed this but he has not believe that this accident happens in his hotel parking and that I'm lying. I told him that he can check the cameras to prove this but he disrespectfully talked to me said he can not do anything and hung up. I talked to their customer relation and reported this but they did not help me either. It was an unsafe and unpleasant stay for us.

I arrived at 12 am to check in for a 5 night stay, While checking in, the front desk attendant was rude and abrupt and even asked me to give an list of the people staying in my rooms. I have never had this done before. We only had 4 people in my party and I provided the list before we were finally checked in. The next morning our rooms had not been clean and we went to request room service and ask for additional towels and pillows. We we did not get room service, The 2nd day, we went again to request room and cleaning service, Again we were told that our rooms could not be cleared until the 3rd day. On the 3rd day, we came to the hotel around 3pm and again requested cleaning and was told that the rooms would be clean that day. Again we came back to our hotel to find the dirty rooms again. This time we were told by the attendant and the manager on the phone that it was their policy was not to clean our room until after the 4th day. If this was their policy, that should have been disclose when I was making my reservation and paying a daily rate of $120 per night. Also then I should have had 4 days supplies of towels and linens and toiletries, Even the Motel 6 and 8 have better services and sanitary practices that this Best Western location. The staffs were not friendly and even rude. I will not recommend to stay here because if you are staying more than one night, your rooms will not get clean.

We found the room very clean and enjoyed the way the hotel is set up (with an outdoor courtyard with tables where we could enjoy meals). All of the staff we encountered were friendly. We felt safe in the hotel.

I booked a stay here for my daughter and I from Tuesday to Friday this week while in town for work. I had stayed here years ago back when it was an Ayres so I already had an idea of the layout of the hotel and what to expect with the rooms. The hotel clerk when I checked in on Tuesday evening was really friendly and helpful with checking in and making sure she was informative. She had a very welcoming personality, and made you feel comfortable. When we got to our room, it was really hot since the ac wasn't running but the air conditioning worked really well and cooled down the room quickly for us. The room was clean and well stocked with towels and hygiene products. The location of the hotel is really convenient, and close to a lot of food places and the freeway without being on a really busy street so you aren't hearing cars all night long. The hotel layout is really convenient too to get in and out of to the parking lot. The hotel staff was all very friendly, the property was kept really clean at all times and the room was spacious and nice! I'd definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to stay here who's needing to stay in Corona.

I love staying here this was my second time staying here love the beds quite and the staff is very friendly I most definitely will be coming back to stay again especially for the pool and jacuzzi see you soon
