Best Western Pine Tree Motel

This place is in a perfect location. Everything you need close by. The staff were really great and friendly. Very clean rooms and property. The the only issue was that the beds were pretty stiff. Except for that this place was 100%.

This property was in a lovely setting, made us think of the old “motor lodges” of the past. However, it was beautifully updated. Room was large with a desk and couch, refrigerator. The floors were wood-look plank tile. The bathroom was beautifully updated with a wonderful shower. Could use a couple of hooks in the bathroom for clothes or damp towels. The bed was very comfy. It was quiet, which was surprising in this busy city. We were able to park right in front. The property and the pool area were very pretty. Nice hot breakfast from 6:00-10:00. Including omelettes, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, and French toast. I chose this based upon price, location and other reviews. I was more than pleased with our stay.

The front desk agent in the morning (female with glasses) was helpful, courteous, and professional. I will return. The property and rooms were immaculate. This is a superb hotel. It's only ten minutes from Ontario airport.

The front desk staff was amazing and efficient. Very informative and quick. Room was a good value. Was clean and fresh. Bed was comfortable as well as pillows. Has secure parking for a vehicle with trailer that was very helpful. Grounds were clean and well kept. I over heard an employee just getting to work and they said greeted everyone on their radio. and they all repsonded back They seem like a very tight knit crew. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was roomy. The breakfast exceeded expectations. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, French Toast, cereal, a pancake machine, bagels and bread, including raisin bread. There was also fresh fruit, and the breakfast staff were constantly resupplying the food. There were a lot of convenient stores and restaurants nearby. The price of the room was reasonable. The staff was very friendly.

Extremely rude front desk staff Emily. Smoked cigarettes outside when supposed to be working helping customers. Terrible customer service. Nice clean rooms however. Breakfast could change up options more per day. Would've been nice to see something other than pancake machine every morning.

I love the Best Western Pine Tree in Chino. Awesome place to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And the amenities are great. Beds are comfy. Always feel welcome here. They have free breakfast and great wi-fi.

We're a family of four on a 1000 mile trip up the coast of California and this was a great find. Really clean, safe and great value. Lovely neighborhood, great Korean BBQ near by. Room we had was large, clean, nice bathroom. Pool area offered nice evening respite.

I can't say enough good things about this motel. We stayed here for one night this past weekend after a long day at Disneyland, which is 30 minutes away. I absolutely will be staying here again in the future. First of all, the rate was fantastic. We stayed in one of their remodeled rooms, and it was beautiful and extremely clean. The Wi-Fi worked wonderfully, as well. Also, the service both late night when we checked in and the next morning was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they have complimentary breakfast from 6-10am and a cute little area too enjoy it in next to the front desk. We thoroughly it! I'm so glad to have found this little gem. We will see you next time Pine Tree Motel!

i am so above and beyond pleased with my stay here at the pine tree motel! our room seemed to be newly renovated it was very very clean. we were lucky enough to have a balcony and a great peaceful view. the breakfast was amazing, so many great options! i cant say enough good things about this motel! clean, friendly and an amazing value!

Best Best Western I've stayed at. I got in at 12:30am, no issues with check in. Everyone was super nice my entire stay and the room way great. Really clean, gigantic, smelled like cedar. I'm saving this property for the next time I need to stay in the area.

We were there to visit the air museums. Stayed 2 nights. Really loved our stay. The room was very large. Looked like it might have been missing a couch but no matter. I say that because there was room for a couch. Everything was clean! Parked in front of our room, easy access. walking distance to a few stores and restaurants. The bed was a little dated, felt like a spring mattress, but it didn't bother me enough to take away a star. The breakfast was very nice, too. Pancakes were made on request. Many choices to grab and go or sit and eat. I would stay again for sure.

Very nice property for the area, do not get me wrong the area is not bad but if you are in Pomona on business then this is a nice property to stay with nice pleasant touches to the various rooms, although the balcony rooms are nice if you are staying for a couple days or more and Lawn view rooms are not a bad touch too. Clean and quiet will stay again when in the area.

Close to amenities, brilliant helpful team , super room , brilliantly clean with a cracking breakfast. Could not fault at all and would stay again in a heartbeat.Too cold to try the pool but looked fantastic

We have been staying at the hotel for over five years. It's always our first choice to stay because of location, availability and cleanness. We are always very pleased staying at the hotel, easy to access from freeway, lots of food and gas close by the hotel and the check-in is always friendly and quick. They just completed a remodel to our room, very modern

Don't pay extra if you need a great, clean, attractive place to stay. They cover it all! Breakfast is included. Friendly, professional staff, rooms tiered so you're not hearing everything on the other walls - that makes all the balconies pretty private as well!

Our trip was made so much better by staying here. The pool was excellent and well maintained. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The service we received really made our stay as we were from overseas and we felt a real family feel.

Nice place,especially for the price. Just air conditioner did not cool the room, july in chino, can be very hot, was told by management that it's because I have my curtains open, and the sun is beaming in. At home my curtain is open with sun beaming, and my air conditioner cool's my home.He also stated that in the front office is 87 , with the air conditioner on, so i should be okay, if he's working in those conditions.

This little gem of a motel is in an area with access to anything you need as far as groceries, gas, etc. We stayed here because we have family in Pomona and liked the reviews. The staff here were so friendly, the pool was clean, and even though we saw some people here, it wasn't crowded or loud. Security cameras are up and there are locks in the doors and sliding doors to the balconies (nice!). The room was clean and very nice. My husband kept saying he couldn't believe that this place is only a 2 star motel, it was such a peaceful experience for our family. Our only disappointment was that due to COvid their cafeteria was closed. They gave out bag breakfasts. Would stay here again!

I've been staying here for decades. The room is always clean, and the staff are the friendliest around. Yes, some of the rooms are starting to age, but they're in the process of a remodel, which take it from someone that's stayed here hundreds of times, they're constantly working on upgrading stuff, and are currently remodeling rooms now. Point being they're always, continuously working on improvements and maintenance, and go above and beyond to keep the property clean, and up to date. I do wish the breakfast buffet would come back, but the county is still prohibiting buffets, so they can't be judged for following the law. Hopefully soon. Overall, they have the best staff and cleaners, and it's a nice motel with comfortable beds, and a very clean room.

I stayed at this hotel 2 days ago and it is overly priced for what you get. There was no microwave available in the room and I was offered to upgrade my room for 500.00 to s room with microwave. I declined that offer obviously. The room had a Marijuana odor. I think the previous patrons may have smoked in there and the smell was still there when we checked in. The overall appearance upon entry seemed clean but their were red spiders in the bathroom. That's the only place we saw them. The cleaners were very nice and friendly. Also online they advertise that there is breakfast included but they do not have breakfast. They said it's because of covid. Overall I give this hotel a 2/5 stars

Issue with my bill and the staff member was not willing to try and take care of the issue, had to call the Best Western Customer Service involved. Bathtub in room needed cosmetic work done. Peeling paint in tub and bathroom floor appeared not too clean, needed a got mop. Office closes for about 30min.for shift changes and breaks.

Property was cute, quiet and my room was huge with a separate vanity station and a balcony at a really affordable rate! Great location as well. I was only there for one night and did not use the pool. My one suggestion is some vending machines that are not empty would be a big plus! Would definitely stay here again!

Pros: Quiet location, comfortable guest rooms, reasonable prices, charming, outstanding staff. Cons: No housekeeping currently offered. One of the things I loathe about visiting the Los Angeles area is finding a decent hotel in a less-than-congested area. The Best Western Pine Tree Motel has made sure this is nothing I have to worry about in the future. Chino is outside LA proper but still within a reasonable drive of everything from Anaheim to Santa Monica to Hollywood. Despite this proximity to busy locales, Chino itself is quiet and suburban, feeling a world away from the commotion. It was a pleasure returning every night, especially because my room was such a pleasant place to stray. Despite being an older property, the owners and management obviously care about how it presents. I was shocked to learn my room was about to be remodeled because everything looked new and needed no improvement. The bed was comfortable, the fridge was large, the desk was functional, and the bathroom was spacious. I stayed five nights and would have been happy with many more, if necessary. It's not luxurious, but functional in a boutique hotel kind of way. The staff deserves accolades for being friendly and accommodating, especially through an unforeseen circumstance that was no fault of the property. Their responsiveness and attention to detail should serve as a model for customer service at hotels and motels costing much more. Speaking of which, the nightly rates were very affordable. I felt as though I got a lot more than what I paid, which is unusual these days. If there is one issue, it's that housekeeping service is completely suspended. I'm not sure if it's the result of a local rule/guideline or a decision on the part of the property, but staying five nights without someone cleaning the bathroom floor and vacuuming the carpet was a little excessive- in my travels I've been to properties meeting guests in between by offering housekeeping services every three or four nights, and I would have been satisfied with that solution. Regardless, I will absolutely be returning here next time in the area. There are plenty of stressful things about traveling to the Los Angeles area, but finding an incredible place to stay will no longer be one of them.

We loved our stay here! Great experience and cleanliness. Calm area and friendly staff. The parking was great as I was able to park in front of my room. It's location worked great for us. I would return again!

Nice clean comfortable large room. Many restaurants and stores near by. Only downside was the wall mounted air conditioner right above the TV is loud and turns on and off frequently requiring you to adjust the TV volume often. Also, due to COVID there was no housekeeping services. But that is happening at every hotel I've stayed in lately.

It's a very good and chill spot. I loved the fact that I had a mini backyard to bbq and the location is excellent there's a lot of stores & restaurants that are super close I will stay there again soon

This hotel was the absolute worst. Check-in is IN the parking lot, speaking though a round metal screen. Booking though BW.com will GUARANTEE you, the bottom budget room, with minimal bedding, heat and no microwave (unless you add $330/week more). Weekends are for everyone, as the parking lot will be full. This hotel is the worse I've every stayed in, and I'll NEVER come back. No room service due to Covid, not even 1x week. You have to luck up and find the housekeepers for fresh towels, TP, etc.

In the world of COVID, most hotel chains have adapted, and I would say that BW has done so for the most part. This property would be the exception. In Summer 2020 it was common to check in at night windows with the lobby cordoned off. Not now, but that was the case here. I pulled up at 2:30 on the rare day in Southern California that it was pouring rain and the wind was blowing tree branches down in the streets. In spite of having a perfectly good lobby that had a perfectly good awning over head where one can park and stay dry, this property makes you use the night window. No awning. Needless to say, it was next to impossible to hear what the clerk was saying with the wind and rain. The paperwork was a soaking wet mess by the time I was done filling it out and I was a drowned rat. The person inside must have been getting a real good laugh at the sight in front of them. There was No reason that they could not have a sign on the front of the lobby doors that restricted entrance to one person at a time allowing others to gather out front under the awning. The property is an older motor lodge style. Decor is dated especially in the bathrooms and at least in mine, the shower head was on it's very last legs. Only the pulsating feature had enough pressure to cast water out and not just dribble out. The tub allowed for the 'shower with your feet covered in water experience' since the drain was slow. The sink drained very slowly as well. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. I didn't even attempt breakfast the next morning as I am not sure how one could get breakfast through that tiny night window. Honestly I do not know if they offered a breakfast or not as I could not hear the clerk at check-in and if they had the lobby closed at 2:30 in the afternoon out of a deathly fear of COVID, then I can only guess that they weren't going to be offering any type of breakfast offering. In closing, I will say that the property was clean and affordable. There are many other options in the area that make more sense to me and in the future I will use them instead. I have stayed in over 75 hotel rooms this year alone, and close to 75% of those were at BW properties. I am no stranger to BW and know they can, and frequently do, perform better than this. The welcome sign was definitely not on at this location

I need space to park my semi and trailer and this place has it and more. Easy in and out. I like the look of the place, very pleasing. Rooms were very clean. I'll definitely be back. There's alot of restaurants around and a Starbucks. Also a Albertson's grocery store.

Very pleased with my stay. Cleanliness was very good. Hotel area was quiet. Staff friendly. Grab n go breakfast content was a bit disappointing. Pillows were not to my liking but most hotel pillows aren't. Overall nice place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, The room was large and comfortable and the area was perfect for us. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. it was the perfect location for our conference we went to. Would definitely stay here again.

This is by far the cleanest an friendliness hotel ive every stayed at i love this motel. its very peaceful. I never have issues staying here. they also replaced the air conditioners that needed replaced. office is clowed due to covid which is understandable all staff is super respectful so are the housekeeperw they do an amazing job.

I have stayed at this motel several times before, sometimes one night sometime 3 or 4 nights. It had consistently been clean, comfortable and well supplied. One minor problem was the shower head needs some attention and I have no doubt it will be taken date of before this unit is rented again. TV always works and lots of channels are available, WiFi is good also.

I love this hotel. It was clean and it was nice to have your vehicle right outside your door. So parking was a plus. The location was really convenient because it was across from a shopping plaza. Nate the front desk worker was awesome. Very professional and courteous. Would stay here again and highly recommend to everyone.

Bypass this hotel. Room request not honored even though I made the reservation 2 months in advance. Outdated room with a dripping bath tub faucet. I was told the night before arriving that breakfast was included. Upon arrival I was told that a brown breakfast bag was offered. Couldn't enter the lobby and had to speak through plexiglass. TV remote was dysfunctional. Totally overpriced!

Loved the queen room I had. So clean. Natural decor (brick wall). Simplicity. Proximity to pool which feels like an oasis pond in the middle of a desert. Tiled bathroom. A great place to get away, write, and swim.

Perfect stay at a great location located next to restaurants and super markets. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. Clean comfortable rooms and sack lunch provided in place of open bar for continental breakfast.

This is a very pleasant motel, conveniently located and well-priced. Our rooms were more attractive than shown on the website. The staff we encountered was very helpful and pleasant, eager to make our stay a nice one. It's a fairly small, attractive complex -- no long walks to rooms or amenities.

I just drove up to talk to someone and see what their cleaning routine was, before booking. After making me stand outside in the sun for 15 while she called her manager, she said i could t see a room and in the time I was standing saw cleaning pers w mask in chin & the two desk clerks not wearing them either. fyi

Great decor and set up and design and cleanliness, nice and clean and fresh look and parking is good and very appealing especially the upstairs rooms with the balcony! Will def recommend and stay here again!

I checked in late night paid my dues didn't shower just slept until 11am checked out and they are charging for missing towels we didn't use because we didn't shower there I'm taking u to court for taking advantage of innocent people

Been staying here for 20 years always a pleasant experiance great beds, awsome staff everything a traveler needs within a short walk great location to service the LA metro area It's actually my favorite hotel I travel 200 days a year.

The staff will go out of their way to help you with anything you need, the breakfast is great if you're going to eat there or grab and go for a busy day. located right off the highway, and near shopping and dinning you will pick this place every time you need to stay in this area.

Staff was amazing. Great breakfast. Very happy and enjoyable experience.The room was very clean. Nice patio with lots of trees and green grass. Staff was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend a stay at the Double Tree Chino.

What can I say we stayed for two weeks over Christmas and into the new year everything is just first class. The staff are so friendly, a big thank you to Nate for looking after us he may remember us Keith and Angela from Oxford England. The breakfast is simply superb everything you could possibly want to start your day..... We will be back

This was one of the best rooms we have had at Best Western. Roomy and quiet. You will forget you are in a city. The property is well maintained and beautifully gardened. All staff we ran into were helpful and friendly. Bed very comfortable and did not seem outdated.

Enjoyed as always the BWPT,rooms are clean,comfortable and accommodating. I always sleep well here. The staff are are amazing and accommodating to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Beds are very comfortable,rooms are quiet. Conveniently located to many restaurant,stores,fwy,and churches. CCCV. Breakfast is great variety,quality,and quantity. I highly recommend.

I have stayed at a lot of Best Western Motels all across the western USA and this is a very nice place to stay. The room was clean and the grounds were well taken care of. The room was a good size and had a coffee maker and a refrigerator. The breckfast area was on the bigger size with many places to sit, the selection was better than most and the attendant was very helpful. They have a pancake maker, several cerials, a few breads & rolls, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon and all of the stuff to go along with everything. We were only staying overnight but I will come back if I need to stay in the area again. A couple of points of note though: The bed is very high, somewhere around 34-36 inches, I am over 6 feet tall and it was an effort to get in and out of, I do not know how a short person would get into it. The heating and cooling unit is loud even on low, so we could not run it overnight but the room did not cool off very fast so it was OK. The lamp on the desk did not have any electrical recepticals to plug in phones of computers but the lamps on the nightstands had both 120 volt and USB recepticals. All minor things but stuff I notice. Also no recycling containers. Only one station at the front desk so only one person manning the phones and desk so with the late check in of 4PM we arrived at 4:30 and the cars were backed up down Central Blvd when we arrived, we were car number 4 blocking one lane of the 3 lane main highway thru town and it took over 30 minutes for us to work our way up so I could check in and the phone was going crazy the whole time I was in the office. I will say the girl on the desk stayed calm and did all of the jobs in a plesant manner. I think securiety should have at least made the cars pull up and park somewhere in order to get the traffic out of the roadway. People that were staying multiple nights would have been stuck in the same line of cars trying to get to there rooms. Good things of note: The block walls made the room quiet inside and once warmed the room stayed warm for most of the night without the heater running. The bathroom was a very nice size and good counter space by the sink. There was a securiety guard in the parking lots which made us feel better even though this did not seem like a bad area, you never know anymore. Like I sayed earlier this is a better than average Best Western motel and we had a good stay. I will be back again.

Love this hotel. Stayed for a reunion and just loved this place. Nice large room. Garden like setting. Breakfast was the usual but had a very attentive attendant that was really sweet and helpful. Would stay here again. Only negative was a loud complicated a/c. Had to baby it to make it work rm226.

I had a week of work in the Loss Angeles area, because of my stay a few months ago, I chose to stay at the Pines Best/Western in Chino, CA. The front desk purple are really nice, the rooms are very clean and they have a delicious breakfast every morning unlike most hotels/motels who serve continental breakfast. I would advise people to try them out. You won't regret your stay!

We have been staying at Best Western for many years. A great place to stay. Very friendly staff and helpful. They have very clean rooms. Breakfast is great and has a good selection. Located in a great area and easy to get to highways.

Our family had a great experience we enjoyed every moment that we were there they were very helpful can't wait to come back again I will definitely be Referring family and friends So that they can have the same experience that my family did.

I average 6 night a month here, all the staff are excellent, The neighbourhood is quiet an close to Hwy 60. Food and shopping in a sort walk available. I have been staying here for six years now. The place is well maintained.

This place is so incredible from the grounds to the rooms and even the location. It's not your typical hotel location, but there's a grocery store and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The room was immaculate and included fridge but no microwave. Wi-Fi was great, hot breakfast was fabulous. The only thing making it not perfect was the water in the shower was warm but not hot. The stay was still great though that I'm still giving it five stars and will come again.

Stay away from this place ! I showed up there at 2pm Oct 21, 2019 and gave the woman at the desk my reservation number. Sorry, you are not in system and your reservation number comes back to nothing....she says. I cannot help you...she continues. So I fire up my laptop and show her my confirmation email. Now she says...you cancelled at 6am this morning. I cannot help you. Yeah right...I cancel at 6am and show up at 2pm to check in !!!! I think not. I ask for a manager- denied ! Its obvious this woman does not give a damn. I then waste an hour, on hold mostly, so Best Westerns Customer Care can tell me the same nonsense. BUT they will call me right back and make it right !! NOT An hour goes by, I go in to lobby and tell original woman at desk I am tired of waiting and she has 10 minutes to call me, telling me its all resolved, or I would be posting a negative review. I hear nothing, another hour goes by and she calls saying that my being hostile and threatening the property {threaten with a bad review ? thats threatening to them I guess} has resulted in my reservation being cancelled. AHHHH at least they now admit I had one. I was pissed, wasted almost 3 hours and went To Hampton Inn down the road which put BW Pine Tree to shame. Stay away from Best Western Pine Tree Motel.

We lucked into this hotel 4 years ago. Now it is where we always stay to visit my son at Claremont McKenna. It's easy to get to the campus and tons of shopping and restaurants are between the hotel & college. The hotel is like a throwback to the 1960's & I love the vegetation around the hotel. I find it quiet.

We stay here whenever we come to visit family in Southern CA. Very friendly people, great rooms at great rates. Nate was very helpful at check in and didn't have a problem with processing several gift cards I was using for payment. A jewel in the Best Western crown.

Wonderful, well cared for property. Nice, roomy closet in an area with a large counter and ottoman for seating. Lovely back patio looking at grass and plants. Large, CLEAN, room. Best breakfast buffet we have ever experienced at a BW, and many other brands. Loved it!

Overall pleased with the stay. The breakfast had a lot of choices. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was extremely nice. It was also very quite at night which made it easy to get good sleep.

Moved my daughter into college 20 minutes away. Needed an affordable place to stay with good amenities. Can't beat the price, good location with lots of stores near by, clean rooms, courteous front desk, free parking, free wifi, free breakfast (typical free continental), and tons were big work a balcony.

This is a jewel. Who knew? They spent some time on exterior décor and landscape and it paid off- this Is a nice comfortable place. Kinda old school like original Palm Springs style. The grounds and rooms are nice, clean and well designed. The breakfast was Great ! Park right in front of the room- nice layout- it was a great experience all around.

Beautiful property, very clean rooms. Staff was great, breakfast was good, bed was comfortable and loved the balcony off the pool. A hidden oasis in Chino. I will definitely come back. This will now be my go to spot every time I'm in So Cal.

Great place to stay. Location good. Several options for Breakfast. I gave a 4 rating due to carpet needs to be cleaned. Walked bare footed one time - wore my shoes after that - felt sticky. Friendly staff.

We came to Chino to visit family in town and found this hotel on Hotwire I believe and was very happy with our stay. The room was bigger than most hotel rooms and with the wearer being so amazing we loved having a balcony. The grounds we clean and trimmed and the pool was nice as well. We would stay here again and recommend to people.

Charming Hotel with friendly service. The hotel reminds me of a tropical 1950s throwback. Very pleasant small hotel. Didn't even mind the brown tile in the shower since all was very clean. Lots of options for breakfast. They even had flavored creamer's that I love. They gave us two water bottles every day and cleaned our room quickly.

We always stay at the Pine Tree when we visit family in Ontario. We have always enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is good, beds are good, it's across the street from a little shopping center, and a block from Starbucks.

We weren't able to check in early and had to come back at check in time. I like the brick work design on the headboard wall. However the outlets weren't very good and we ended up having to charge our devices in the bathroom. The bathroom itself had a good shower head. The beds were firm to soft. The motel is a little on the old side. The desk chair is our room was quite filthy. For the price we paid was too much. Breakfast was decent, a selection of hot foods as well as cold.

older building, great upkeep, fine staff, the grounds are a botanical joy... been staying here for the last 40 years.... grat location just 2 blocks of of the 60 freeway. there is a huge lot out back for the trucker who wants a great value and a quiet stay.

A great place to stay and relax. With lots of restaurants and shopping all around. Staff is friendly courteous, and always plenty of breakfast items on hand. The rooms are very clean rooms and the beds are comfortable, plus free Wi-Fi.

This hotel is nice and small. The rooms are clean the staff is great. And they offer a continental breakfast. Room is large and has all the amenities I needed ( microwave, fridge, etc.) And the wifi works great!

We book this hotel for our employees when they work in the IE. The price is reasonable, it's close to restaurants and it has truck parking in the back. This is their hotel of choice and aren't happy when it's booked up and they cannot stay here...

Everything was great about this property except the bed, too hard for my liking. If you are in this area and not sure of your surroundings this is a very nice place to stay. Great breakfast for a smaller place.

The stay at this hotel was fantastic. The check in was very pleasant, we felt very welcome ! The weather was too chill for us to try the pool , but it looked nice. The room was great - clean and spacious. We have also liked the Chino neighborhood. Breakfast was great. We would normally stay in a different area when visiting LA, but this place is a great discovery for us. Few basketball outdoor courts are close by. We will be coming back to LA on Halloween, and will book this property for a week. Thanks again !

Well located. Hotel is Surprisingly nice for this location. Great breakfast and Internet. Quiet. Only a few other hotels in the area. Bed was so hard that I actually pulled back the sheet to see if I was sleeping and box springs. Mention this to manager and got no response

Needed a place to stay for a night. This was the perfect find very home like and I got a fantastic nights sleep. Staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't realize I had a free night stay because if points. The staff took care of it for me.

The BW Pine Tree has been in this town since the late 60s; and never seems to grow old. There are 3 buildings that have been built in separate stages over the yrs, and all have been redone a few times to keep clean n fresh. The decor is sort of retro 60s, as is other areas of Southern California. The cleaning ladies here are as good as it gets. Some of the faces have been here for many years: So, this motel is kept tidy from front to back. And the maintenance and remodeling is consistent as well. Seems as if they're constantly sprucing things up. In fact, they're getting ready to begin construction on a 3 story, 4th building, to meet demand: so, Good news. If you're passing thru chino, it's as good of a choice as any. The prices are fair, and yes, they do have a pool. Although, they could use a hot tub: but it's not a deal breaker. Enjoy your stay.

We chose this place as location/price/safety compromise for attending the Grand National Roadster Show in Pamona (as half the people in the hotel, as it turned out). It worked out 'okay' for us taking the bus to get around to the Show, and several museums in the area. Chino doesn't seem to have much to see local (although enough geocaches for reasonable walk-abouts) and touristing takes two buses: OmniTrans #85 near the hotel, connecting to something else (typically in the Foothill system) to your destination. Bring lots of dollars and quarters for fare! The hotel itself seemed well run and trying hard to lead the mid-tier segment. The wifi worked fine on our iPhones. Note that a major restoration is planned a couple weeks after our stay, so the rooms should be nicer than the clean but plain room that we had (#215). We felt safe walking around the area. Useful selection of restaurants within a mile radius, but pretty much ate at all the places we wanted by the end of our week.

Great location, near lots of food and shops. Clean rooms, well set up. My room didn't come with an iron but the front desk guy got me one right away . Quieter than I would expect with the motel setup. Lots of parking.

This was a positive experience. I left the hotel with a smile after spending 2 nights there. The number one smile is the breakfast. They have really tried to make it much better than the average Best Western. Big room and easy to park outside. Good access to major roads. 4 minute walk to grocery store if you need anything.

Hands down the best breakfast I have ever had in a motel, which made the stay from average to very good. The rooms are what you would expect but were clean and the bed was super comfy but the amazing spread laid on for breakfast will live with me forever as every motel breakfast from now on will be rated based on the Pine Tree motels. Reservation # 122264191-03. Checked in at approx. 9:52 PM on July 25,2018. Originally was given paperwork to complete for check in at a rate of $102.99, but I was told by the girl checking me in I was double booked by the BW reservations dept. and I did have a lower rate of $86.00 which I paid in cash, and I have a receipt. Was given room 225-A, a handicap room, the shower drain did not work and water had run all over the floor. I did not need a handicap room. Called the front desk, the girl working said they knew and it was okay. Asked for another room, and I was told there are no other rooms available. I paid twice for a bad room! I called the hotel and was told by the girl at the front desk they only show my cash payment and to call my bank. I called my bank and opened a dispute. I called Best Western Customer Service and opened a case but was told that since my bank is investigating they would not. Hum! I will think twice before I book with a Best Western again! Beware!

This hotel is quiet and serene. Friendly and courteous staff. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.Breakfast has an assortment of foods. The hot breakfast was a bonus. This is the only place I stay when I am in town.

At first the neighborhood that our GPS took us through was a little discouraging but that all cahnged in a matter of minutes. This motel has nice curb appeal and has two different wings. The older (well kept up) and the newer two story. We stayed in the older of the two and was pleasantly surprised when we opened the door. Very nice room. All was in order, clean, fresh and welcoming. The bathroom (although small) was spotless and stocked with the usual items. The bed was very comfortable and lent itself to a great nights sleep. The breakfast was a great start to the day with the usual suspects offered it was clean and well stocked. We were well prepared to visit the two air museums at the Chino airport. Worth the visit. Discounts for seniors and vets.

Best Western motel is a very comfortable place to stay the rooms are very clean the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is awesome if your thinking of staying there get your room early cause they sell out fast

The motel is old, but remodeled and clean. There was no refrigerator or microwave in our room. That was disappointing, but the staff offered to let us use the microwave in the office. We had hoped to be in the newer section, but it was full. Suggest you specify upgrade and book early. We chose Chino to be near Semi Valley and Yorba Linda so we could visit presidential libraries withiout having to go through Los Angeles. The staff recommended Wanda's Buffet for Chinese food. We were very pleased with dinner. Good good, reasonable price. The motel breakfast was one of the best we've had at a Best Western. The bacon and eggs were cooked to perfection and the bar was kept clean and well supplied.

Check in was nice and easy as well as quick. Room was clean and well kept. Hotel was quiet. Check out was a breeze as I used the express checkout. TV was well programmed and the bed was firm and good for sleeping

When we first arrived, we thought we had traveled back to the 1970s. Don't let the exterior fool you: the rooms have been remodelled and they are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was remodelled this year: it is the only one we have visited where you can use a pancake 'machine' to prepare 2 tasty pancakes for breakfast. The staff is particularly welcoming! Make sure you ask for rooms in the two-story building--they are much better than the other ones.

The hotel itself and staff were great. We were treated very well. However, the beds were way too soft and had no support whatsoever. My husband and I had a lot of back pain after the nights sleep. Also they only have these half pillows on the beds. The pillows were not normal size and it was very annoying to sleep on.

Better than I was expecting, nice to sit on the porch with a cup a Starbucks overlooking the pretty landscaping - The beds were very comfy. Even though it was in the middle of chino it was like a little oasis paradise. Very close to where I needed to be and a lot of great shopping and eating choices nearby

We had Checked into a hotel near the Ontario Airport it was a bit rough and we tried to make due. There was just to much foot traffic in the parking lot and we didn't feel our vehicle would be safe. So at 12:15 AM we decided to move here, best decision of our trip so far. Friendly staff at 1 AM, Very nice, clean and affordable. Will definitely come back!

Was pleasantly surprised on the size of the rooms. Very comfortable the grounds were very well kept. Had a little issue with accessing the pool but that was being worked on. Our air conditioner was a little noisey. They could replace the unit but overall we were very comfortable. A very nice hot breakfast.

The Best Western Pine Tree Motel of Chino was a very last minute choice for our one-night stay in the area, but it was an awesome choice! The setting is absolutely gorgeous, you don't even realize you are right in the heart of busy Chino, it feels more like a nature retreat, but at the same time you are moments away from gas stations, groceries, and fast food! The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom tile was a bit outdated and garish (dark orange) but I understand that a whole hotel overhaul is tremendously expensive, and since the rest of the room and balcony were SO NICE, I totally forgive the bathroom. Also, I did not catch her name, but the young lady who checked us in was SOOOOOO nice and friendly, you could tell she really cares about her job! After a long day of travelling, I really appreciated that!

This hotel was great, didn't have any problems, staff was awesome all of the rooms amenities work grade their conditioner with fridge the microwave the patio everything to make you feel like home . We booked this room for a night while travelling. The front desk was very helpful and accomodating as there was an issue with a gift card that I had and they spent a lot of time getting it straightened out for me.The room was basic and clean. There was a coffee maker and fridge and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and the coffee was great.

My daughter and I had the privilege of spending 2 nights at this wonderful Motel. We found our rooms quite adequate and the staff were amazing! In fact, the staff went out of their way to help! Being from another country, things were - well foreign! And being without a car added to our feeling 'lost' However, each of the staff were ready to help with what were probably 'dumb' questions and I really felt welcome because of the effort they put in to help us personally. Food and shops are right at the door, and public transport was a breeze. Need a great place to stay? Stay here!!

Clean room with many amenities (safe in the room, working desk, tv, iron and ironbound, TV, fridge). Two bottles of complementary water were included which were very appreciated. Includes internet which worked very well. The place is quiet and well located near a supermarket, eating options and other stores.

I will stay at the Pine Tree again. Beautiful landscaping warm and welcoming. A private pool area! Nicely decorated rooms with warm colors and the bed was amazing! Breakfast had everything for every kind of eater.

We are traveling artists and work a lot of conventions and festivals. Having a refrigerator in our room is beyond helpful! We usually bring our own groceries on trips as the choices of food at the events that we work is pretty abysmal; fair food, fried, lots of sugar, etc. Having the ability to eat as well as we do at home gives us the opportunity to bring our "A" game to the events we work. The grounds at the Best Western Pine Tree in Chino were BEAUTIFUL! Very well kept indeed. The flagstone walls were gorgeous as well. Our room was extremely comfortable; very homey and well insulated (it was winter). I also liked the bathroom; lots of counter space without it being intrusive. Everything was very clean. I really can't say enough good things about this place! Whenever we work a show in this area, you'd best believe that we are staying here!

The staff at this hotel are AMAZING!! My friend and I had broken down on the highway and had no where to go, and the staff took our reservation and we got towed to them! They quickly checked us in and the bed was so comfy, room so clean and in the morning a staff member helped look at our car and gave us some insight on what to do! He was amazing! All staff was great, the best stay I've ever had at a hotel!! I'd definitely come back!!

I love this place. Always clean. Love the people that work the front desk! I've stayed there at least a dozen times this year. Any business I have in Chino, it's my #1 choice. All rooms are non smoking but I get a room with a patio so I can smoke out there.

I stay in 200 plus motels a year all over the country . I stay in BW, IHG, Choice, Marriott, Hilton etc. you get the idea. I don't stay in Windham properties or Motel 6 or Super 8 quality properties. I arrived at the BW in question at 8:45pm I attempted to enter the office and the door was locked I thought the women at the desk would unlock it and let me in , no, she said I had to go to the side of the office and talk through a portal . I told her this was demeaning and disgusting. She said the owner requires the closing of the front door at dark for safety reasons. I told her it gives me the impression of a crime ridden area or an hourly type motel used for prostitution or both. I asked her if there were more respectable hotels in the area and it turns out yes, but quite a ways away from the area there were some. Since I was there and didn't want to drive anymore I stayed. I'm a BW Diamond Select rewards member and have similar status at most major hotels around the country. I find the treatment of a guest in this manner degrading and no I would not recommend this property to anyone. Sadly the property and employees are of typical above average quality which BW is known for. But until the owner changes his paranoid attitude towards quality people I as well as other respectable people won't or shouldn't patronize this property. I did have a thought though maybe this part of town is a high crime area and therefore should close its doors early thereby making me not want to stay at this motel for the criminal activity in the area . Either way I won't be staying in this property anytime soon.

Booked a room for one night. Check-in was quick and easy, the gentlemen who checked us in helped me join the rewards program, so my stay earned me $10. The queen bed room was very clean, has a coffee maker, TV, and fridge. Breakfast is available up until 9am which is later than most places I've stayed and the selection is great for being continental; coffee, pancakes, breads, bagels, oatmeal, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice. Ended up staying an additional night. Will definitely be back!

We stay here regularly as it's close to where I do business, it's always clean and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast has always been biscuits and gravy as the main item. The pool is clean and refreshing to swim in. The grounds and landscape are well kept.

I have stayed here at least 5 times and can't wait to come back. It is the perfect location for me to visit my son in college, and the price and cleanliness of the rooms are perfect! Pilar is always helpful and brings a smile to my face. I love that since I have stayed there over the last 3 years she is still there like many of the staff. When employees have been there as long a they have you know that they enjoy working there and it says a lot for the property!

This motel had a great room, great breakfast, friendly helpful staff and a great rate. It was convient to the race track we cam for. We also love that a couple of bottles of water are left for guest use daily.

This hotel is clean and centrally located in Chino, CA. Easy walk to many stores and good restaurants. Thr rooms were clean & the bed comfortable. Courteous and professional staff. I would stay there again.

Nothing super to expect. A typical motel. Can be noisy from people outside the room. Close to Claremont colleges and that's why we chose it. The front desk area is not too welcoming either. But the hotel staff were super helpful.

We stayed at the BW as it is close to where my parents live. It was surprisingly quiet being so close to Central Avenue. It is clean and the staff are friendly. I would have appreciated some whole wheat muffins or bread options for breakfast. Not fan of plastic utensils but understand not all motels are able to provide reuseable cutlery. The oatmeal was good 3 out of 4 mornings.

Great customer service staff was very friendly and the reason I would return the pool was really nice and the bed was great the location was nice with places all around to get things if needed. Really enjoyed

Our family stayed in two rooms during our stay. The staff and housekeeping were friendly and provided what we needed at a moments notice. Breakfast was already available each morning and the selection was decent.

We have stayed at the Chino Best Western twice. The staff is great, the room was clean with a nice view of the grounds, and the fee was a very good value. Plenty of restaurants, grocery store and coffee cafes with-in walking distance. Try Pho Trans in the Albertson's Shopping Mall for amazing pho and wonderful service. We will be back for future visits.

We checked in rather late on a Monday night and needed a shower chair. Nate the night clerk immediately took care of us and within minutes he appeared with a shower chair. Keith the day clerk IMMEDIATELY addressed a sluggish toilet. ALL the staff we above and beyond to make sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. This is an exceptional motel! We will happily stay there again.

Customer service is bad and had a problem with the room being cleaned. They was suppose to place $100 on hold for any damages, but in my case they placed $330.48 on hold and blamed my bank. Management rude

Headed to the Pomona RV show again,#4. Staying at the Pine Tree Best Western again. This time brining a 40' trailer with us. I was dreading finding parking for it. Pulled into a dirt lot and went to check in. To my surprise the dirt lot is the hotels. It truly made my day. We were met with friendly staff as always. Our room was a second floor with a balcony over looking the office. Finally got the balcony, yeah. I anticipate another great stay.

The staff was extremely helpful to my wife and I. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. We loved their breakfast room and the fantastic pancakes. We plan to come here again next time we come through California it is now our favorite best western.

The water smelled like sewage and the towels smelled strongly of bleach. The staff at the motel were great. However, the manager could not be bothered to return my phone call. I would not stay at this location again.

The room was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to keep my room for 4 days without having to move. The location was close to everything I needed. Easy access to amenities. The pool was a nice plus.

Stayed for 6 nights. in one of the six days that we stayed, the "make up room" tag was changed to "do not disturb" and the room was not made up. May be we left to room a little late, a little bit after noon, but it's still our right to have the room made up, or they could tell us directly about the time that they won't make up the room any more. Each day, the making up was not always complete as well, for example, missing two bottles of water occasionally, missing towels, etc. Our room was next to the laundry and so there were occasional loud noise that woke us up. However, all the staffs at the service counter are friendly and responded to everything very well. Breakfast was very good.

Very good breakfast, with a very good selection of items, including both cooked and individual packets of oatmeal. The newly renovated breakfast area is a great improvement. It is right, more roomy and very well served by the attentive staff.

The Pine Tree is a Chino landmark. The original tree got so big, it blew over in a bad wind/rainstorm a number of years ago. The Best Western franchisee has spent a little if money on upgrades over the years, & the place looks great. The new pine tree is getting bug now too.A very good, reasonably priced hotel choice. The new breakfast area is a big improvement.

This place is just the best! The staff is really friendly and do everything they can to make you feel welcome and at home! There are really great shops in the area that are walking distance and i was recommended a great steak place across the street by one of the front desk clerks.

I am a DIAMOND REWARDS MEMBER accused of smoking in the room. I DO NOT SMOKE. The Maid and some other guest whom i do not know, said they smelled smoke coming from my room. I have to ask 2 questions? I needed to get my key card activated again, i went to the office for that, did the Guy who re-keyed my card smell smoke on me then? When i checked out did the Lady who checked me out smell smoke on me then? I am appalled of these accusations

We chose this hotel bec it was close by for a college visit with our daughter, and many of the closer hotels were booked. It looked very lush on the outside with lots of plantings around the center pool. It was also rated highly on TripAdvisor. However, we got Room 219, off to the left side, and the carpet and room reeked very badly, like dried urine. The breakfast and maid cleaning was great, but the carpet and room smelled something terrible if you turned the AC off. I called twice, a mth in advance for a center room overlooking the pool, they took the reservation but then did not hold a pool view room for us.

An excellent facility at an excellent price. With great staff. I haven't stayed at a Best Western for a while and I stay in motels about 100 nights per year. But this one was great. I will be telling my friends and family to use this one whenever we visit

Just needed a room in the area because of a medical appointment. This fit the bill. Clean, great location and good value. The location of the a/c right over the tv wasn't great and we had to leave before the breakfast was available. We would stay again if necessary.

My family and I were very happy with the hotel. Staff was great, room was clean and location was awesome! Our baseball club team stayed here for the week as we had a tournament and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

It was summer. Good ratio price quality. Other Best Western were much more expensive. VEry well located near shops and restaurants. Hotel spent a lot of money on upgrading the rooms and air conditioning system Better restaurants are about 2 to 4 miles away. Breakfast on the poor side and very small room. But you could eat outside.

This is a good place to stay in Chino. I had a rental car and parking was rite outside my room. Good sized room and bathroom. No fitness facility but there's a swimming pool. Continental breakfast was good. Nearby places to eat and stores, especially my Big 5 store. Keith and Pilar was most helpful to me at the front desk. Would recommend this place to family and friends. Would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Chino.

Stayed for the first time. Large, spacious 2nd-floor room with back patio. Comfortable beds. Quiet - left later than most and didn't hear cars pulling out, etc. Room updated, clean, AC was quiet and efficient; only negative was bathroom floor - downsloping into drain so stayed wet after the first of us showered in morning. Location near many shops, stores, restaurant choices. Would stay again

Second time staying at this hotel. Lg. room that was very clean. Updated and everything in good condition. Mattress was firm without being too firm. Perfect for us. Love the décor. Exterior well maintained. Coffee maker in room along with a fridge and microwave. Very good value.

This is a great hotel to stay in. The facility is very clean and packed with courteous staff and great breakfast. At first I thought the location maybe out of way but after seeing the facility, driving a few extra miles was all worth it.

Very nice, somewhat quaint motel, excellent service, good breakfast with hot oatmeal, which we really like. Air conditioner worked great as it was in the low 100s while we were there. Only downside is that the beds are very hard to our liking.

The night desk worm was extremely helpful, the hotel had good parking with lots of shade. The outside and inside of the hotel and my room were very clean. The pool was clean and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, I did get full. I am going back this month and already have my reservation.

We've stayed here so many times over the past 15 yrs, I couldn't even keep count. The location for us is perfect, as it's between the Ontario airport and the places we do business with here. They have a huge parking lot, if your in a big rig or motor home. There's a ton of nearby restaurants, and a few nearby bars as well. The beds are decently soft, and the maids work hard here to keep them clean. The rooms were renevated a few yrs back, and are more modern and inviting than the old days. If you're looking for a decent place to rest in the chino area, this is it. My only complaint is that there's no hot tub. But since it's about 98 today, the pool works for me...

Chose this Best Western hotel since it was located in the area where we were attending a wedding for some friend of ours. Nice area and located near the highway and many restaurants. Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and very professional. Would stay there again.

Just wanted to warn others if you book a room here: Most Best Western hotels are 100% non-smoking facilities. This one is not. I booked a room at this hotel online and it gave no distinction telling me it was a smoking room, so had to assume it was not. We arrived, checked in, went to the room, opened the door and got hit with the smell like a dirty ashtray. Told the front desk we could not stay in that room. We were told there were no other rooms available so we went to another Best Western nearby. Had a lovely smoke-free time there.

Being here at the Pine Tree Motel was a pleasant experience. Beds were comfortable, It was quiet, Nice flat screen TV to watch and good W/F . The rooms were clean and everything worked like it should. Checking in and out was a breeze.

Very nice reception and one night stay. Clean rooms. No spa area. We weren't able to have the breakfast. Convenient to the Fairplex. I think it was 7-8 miles. I do not recommend the front room near the lobby. Ice machine was very popular.

Stayed 2 nights, room clean but safe missing. I asked receptionist if we could move rooms but was told motel was full. I booked this hotel on the premise there was a safe. First & last time I will be staying in a Best Western.

Retro vibe and good walking location to stores and restaurants. Wished there was a spa and better breakfast. Weird smell from the room and the toilet should be ungraded. More towels in the rooms, but the internet worked great!

Stayed two nights. The bathroom was a bit dated but very clean. The a/c was a little wonky and didn't seem to know when to turn on or off. It was also a bit loud. The garbage cans were tiny which is problematic for me as I don't care for room service every day. I would definitely stay here again.

Spacious room, air conditioner takes long time to cool such a large room. But, had balcony and overall a quiet location. The price was fair. The pool and breakfast area is very small, but plenty of eateries and shopping within walking distance

Have stayed here in the past and will in the future. It's an older motel, which has a certain charm. Everything is in good repair, and the bed is exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast is more basic than many other Best Westerns, but the overall price reflects an excellent value.

This property is very cute in a not-horrible part of Chino. However, I was placed in a room directly next to the front office and, at 6 a.m., the construction crew arrived to begin work on renovating the offices. It was all hammers and power tools that became even louder than I could turn on the TV. I really should have been warned that this was a possibility. This was not a water main breach, it was a planned renovation. 0 stars.

The hotel is located on a nice and safe area in Chino, lots of restaurants and easy access to the highway. It is clean and surrounded by trees. Internet works perfect. Breakfast has no too many options

This hotel is quiet even though it is on a busy street. Nice breakfast offerings, fresh fruit. Parking is limited but close to room door. Check in even though late, after 10 pm, was quick and friendly. Lots of hot water and towels.

I setup a room reservation directly with Best Western for a 10 day stay for myself and my service dog in a NON-smoking room with a queen bed, I drove all the way from Montanan for scheduled appointments, when I arrived at the motel they screwed up my reservation and put me in a smoking room that reek of cigarette smoke I have asthma and no way this was going to work... I didn't think they even allowed smoking in motel rooms in California... the motel would only change me to a Non-smoking room for 2 days and would not accommodate me after that, so now I had to make reservations at another hotel at twice the cost... Very disappointing for a Best Western, unless you enjoy a cigarette smoke smelling rooms, terrible way to treat a Platinum member. P.S. oh and no microwaves

We stayed at the Pine Tree Motel for 2 nights during a regional gymnastics meet at the Fairplex; nice place for a reasonable amount per night. Nothing fancy, but they do have a pool, nice rooms and the breakfast was good. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, taking care of requests quickly.

Hotel is inexpensive and comfortably covers the basics if that is what you are looking for. Room is comfortable though the bathroom is small and like traditional home bathroom - shower over tub (shower head adjustments did not work) with simple sink and toilet in small space. There was no ventilation and little counter space for your toiletries. Room did have a fridge and the bed was comfortable. Staff attentiveness was average.

Amazing as always...always clean, always available. Like a home away from home, and for the price, you can't beat it. The breakfast is pretty basic, but always fresh. If you're looking for a hotel to rest your head, this is it!

Booked this room online because of the low rates. Couldn't be more pleased with our room!. Excellent location, close to everything even within walking distance to many amenities. Older motel, very clean and we'll kept! Charming landscaping in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood. Very nice employees, I would definitely recommend this motel to everyone. The price just absolutely be better than any room anywhere. All I can say is, I was pleasantly surprised.

We were in the older part but it was a good sized and very clean room. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. Wi-Fi worked very well. There were complimentary bottles of water. Check in was fast and easy with the very friendly and helpful clerk. Breakfast was a good selection but the room was a bit small, saying that you can sit outside also. There is places to eat close by and freeway access is right there as well. The grounds are very well kept and a very inviting swimming pool is available. No problems for me to stay here again - great place and great price / value!

I had a very pleasant stay. The room was nice. clean, comfortable and it was as advertised. The staff was friendly and efficient with a quick check in. Everything worked fine in the room and the price was reasonable.

We were only there for one night and didn't specify any needs, but it was definetly on the average end. I understand now that there are two distinct sections--old and new. We were obviously in the old section. Room very small but clean. Our room was almost right on one of the busiest streets in town and was rather noisy. For one night it was doable, but if you plan on a longer stay, request new section and away from street. This motel has been around for many many years and while clean, the section we were in shows it age.

We arrived at about 8pm and the reception lobby was closed and arrival formalities had to be conducted through some sort of security window. I was assured that this was not a high crime area and it certainly did not have an appearance of being so. These arrangements were, however, rather off-putting and out-of-character with this otherwise very nicely designed and well-maintained establishment. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious with a large flatscreen TV. The bathroom was of modest but adequate size but would benefit from an extractor fan to remove moisture. The buffet breakfast was well stocked with the usual selections plus boiled eggs and nice orange juice. We had a problem with the aircon unit but reception said to turn the unit off for 10 minutes and then turn it back on. We did this and it completely solved the problem. I can safely recommend this fairly-priced and well-maintained hotel with good parking and, if you like them, a Chipotle restaurant just nearby.

A/C unit was really noisy. Bed not that great. Noise from upstairs was bizarre. Dont know if it was people or equipment. Was clean and welcoming otherwise. Patio was nice. Would ask for a different room next time.

I would recommend this motel as we were pleased with our stay. It isn't fancy, but it is nice. Everything from the customer service at the front desk to the complimentary breakfast were good for us. The breakfast was simple but it included some hot foods such as oatmeal and biscuits and gravy, along with yogurt, juices, cold cereal, breads and fruit. The eating area is small but adequate. We will stay at the Pine Tree Motel again if we are in the area.

They went above and beyond to get us a better room. Very friendly and helpful staff and a fantastic location. The usual shops close by. Freeway just around the corner. We were here for a wedding about 20 minutes away (with no traffic).

Thank goodness the staff member that checked us in noticed that we had come with other family members. She noticed that we had only booked one night while the others had booked three. She quickly fixed that for us, though we still had to move rooms the 2nd night. That was okay, at least we got a room. All the hotels in the area were booked. Only thing was, the 2nd room we had was upstairs and the afternoon sun was shining on it. The heat from the sun was more than the poor small air conditioner could handle. Other than that, it was a very nice room. A bit dated, but clean.

We had to return to CA for a family emergency and this was close to my in-law's house. The room was OK, noisy air conditioner, but other than that, acceptable. What wasn't acceptable was the breakfast. It was in a tiny room, extremely claustrophobic and the selection was pathetic. The flyer they handed out said "Waffles and Pan Cakes". Well, they were in little bags that you had to microwave, totally inedible for anyone over 8. There are so many places near by, at a similar price, where you can have a real breakfast in a comfortable setting. We will be returning to CA soon, unfortunately, and we will definitely be staying somewhere else.

This is an average motel and we were forced to stay here for lack of better choices close by. I was surprised as I expected better since this was a Best Western Staff: They have a very small office and staff at reception did not seem that hospitable. Rooms: Small and just functional. You have to park in front of the room and will also be exposed to noise. Breakfast : This is served in a very small room where literally there is no space to move around. Options are limited. Since we were there just for the night and just needed a place to sleep we did not bother much. As one other reviewer has mentioned, this definitely needs to be renovated. Will not stay again.

I stayed here on a personal vacation in late September 2015, but really wanted to promote this excellent property and share the photos from this wonderful stay. So many good things, a few excellent things and not much to complain about. As far as "good" goes, the rooms are very nice for one person perhaps two people. They are well kept, spacious for a budget place and very, very, very clean. Cleanliness can't be undersold because when one stays "budget" there are health and "gross out" related risks that are taken. Not so with the Best Western Pine Tree Motel which is exceedingly well-kept and mostly spotless. Also good is the location which is very close to the 60 freeway onramp preceded by a strip mall with a Starbucks, Jersey Mike's and across the street from a Del Taco (which is right next to the property). "Excellent" would describe the bed, shower, tv, staff, and air conditioning! Considering the age of this place, you would think both might be of lower quality, but the contrary was true. The queen size bed was functional, just firm enough but not too hard with very generous bedding; it was very easy to sleep on and combined with the air conditioner I enjoyed five nights of quality sleep. The bathroom fixtures were "old school" but very well maintained, the water pressure and temperature was "up to snuff" and the shower head was contemporary. Very clean and fluffy (generous) towels as well [budget hotel towels can be a embedded cigarette smoke disaster]. It is located in the Inland Empire and in September it is still quite toasty. No worries, their air conditioning unit pounded in fresh and cold air like a boss! Comfy enough that I could kick back and enjoy my suite of ESPN "happy hour" programming with no sweat! The tv was a flat screen that had all of the necessary channels and was also of excellent quality. Also excellent was the hard working staff which log many long hours; very long shifts but not so long that they effect their attitudes. I was especially pleased with Imelda and Jennifer who alternated during the five nights I stayed. Improvements? You can't change the age of a place and there are some things that would certainly be improved with a newer property.....but then again any massive remodeling would change the charm of this place. Its like a 1960's motel that is still as fresh as it was back when Kennedy was President! The room is small, but you knew that.....right? I don't think a family of four would be super comfy here....I noticed many Gen-X and Baby Boomer blends like me vs. young families or families with teens. Finally, it would be good to always have coffee and some snacks (apples etc.) available for guests, some days there would be no coffee and condiments. Remember, these are nit-picky things that can't be changed and are really what you would consider before even thinking about a motel. Overall, the Best Western Pine Tree Motel is just a wonderful, wonderful place and very worthy of a 5/5. I'm an academic and a notoriously hard graders [see my other reviews] but for what this motel is I believe it is top of the line and very worth your traveling dollars!

Maybe it was just my room, but this location could use a remodel as it's quite dated, I slept well, in a cushy King bed, but room amenities were in poor condition. 1. The closet safe didn't work. The battery for the keypad and lock was dead. 2. The AC unit was mounted in the wall directly above the television, which basically drowned out the television volume. Room was quite toasty upon arrival. 3. Our tub/shower didn't work properly and the hardware was falling off. When I switched from tub faucet to showerhead, the valve would only change halfway, causing both the tub faucet and showerhead to run at the same time. Because the tub faucet ran over the tub drain plug, it caused it to push it down and block drainage, essentially I was showering in a tub of dirty water. 4. My room had its own private patio on the backside of the building, but there was some sort of dirt/gravel lot behind the property and a semi truck was parked there early on Saturday morning that ran idle for quite a while. It was loud and annoying. Privacy was a concern as the driver and/or vagrants would cross our patio to this lot. 5.Maids were on the prowl as early as 8-9AM, so had to place the privacy placard on the door handle when I heard their carts.

I agree with walker1denmark: It's not a 5* establishment and you don't pay 5* prices. It's a cozy and clean motel located near shops and all the major arterial routes leading east towards Las Vegas, Mojave, Joshua Tree Route 66 etc...... and yet the drive to Hollywood Blvd on a Friday morning only took just over half an hour. The breakfast 'buffet' had a pretty good choice considering..... All in all highly recommended

I do not quite understand those negative responses found in here. No, it is not a 19-star Hilton, and should not be taken as such. I arrived at 8 pm, about 3 hours later than expected, but I blame that on LA traffic and not the least Homeland Emigration at LAX. I got a room (the booked price, and friendly staff at the reception!) and settled in for the night. One thing that do come to mind is the A/C unit. It is noisy. Not that it came as a surprise. I have not yet seen/heard an individual A/C set that will not wake you up at night. This one, though, had two working fan settings: Off and typhoon! Everything in between seemed to be disabled. I chose Off! Continental breakfast is there from 7 till 10. Dry toast, jelly, raisin toast and juice plus one apple for me. You could have additional things like coffee, oatmeal, but ... I would recommend the raisin toast over the dry one next time!

We stayed in the single story rooms at this Best Western. The room was well kept, it seemed as if they might have updated the room recently. My family like the brick wall behind the beds and the tile in the bathroom. I felt this made the room less noisy since we never did hear anything from the connecting walls. The staff was very friendly and pleasant and there was plenty of parking. We will be staying here again when we have to revisit Chino.

Although My wife and I prefer the larger rooms with the balcony's the smaller Non smoking rooms were nice. This hotel has come along ways over the years. We had a slight problem with the desk clerk loosing our reservation over night. But B/W took care of us the best way they could at the time. Thank Goodness... The Rooms were clean & Comfortable Don't count on a hearty Breakfast , more like a morning snack! Very,very small & limited choices. Right up the road! Yogi's Burgers & breakfast-to-go. Or Sit-down at Denny's right down road!

The room I booked was a non smoking room I got put in a smoking room which was nice, however the smell of the cigarette smoke was very bad, the bed sheets had burn holes! The ac was so loud it had to be turned off so I could sleep and the weather was hot! The ceiling fan did not work. Breakfast was good if I had another room it would have been fine but they claimed no non smoking rooms were available.

I hadn't stayed here before but I had business in the area so I though I would give it a try. The Pro's are: the room was clean and ready when I got there. Good internet when it was running. I got dropped many times. Nice TV with a good channel selection. A USA Today newspaper each day was nice. The Con's are: The A/C was terribly loud. Had to turn the volume way up on the TV in order to hear it over the noise of the A/C plus the A/C had trouble keeping up with the heat outside and there were no comfortable nights sleep due to the noise it made. Breakfast was very sad. WAY below BW standards. The only hot food was biscuits & gravy, EVERY day. The breakfast room was soooo small there were only 3 tables in it. There is a small frig in the room that worked OK along with a coffee pot. No microwave though. But the straw that broke the camels back is the fact that when I checked in the clerk told me she had to "scan" my license. I told her I objected to that and explained that if their system got hacked not only would the thief have my credit card info but they would also have a picture clear copy of my drivers license. She told me she couldn't check me in without doing it so I let her. I told her they needed to post this info on their web site. She said she would pass it onto management. I intend to complain to Best Western about this also. No, I won't stay here again nor will I recommend it.

I've stayed at 5 stars hotels all over the U.S. I know a great hotel when I see one! I was attended an annual birthday party and this is where we booked...boy, were we all impressed!! The rooms are immaculate! They are huge! Best bed I ever slept in! They even provide goose down comforters! Huge clean showers, separate shower areas to get ready in. Free continental breakfast that surpasses all others! I made sure to come back and even got a better room than the first room, same experience! Staff/Owners are awesome! If ever in the area, or just want to get away, come here! You will not be disappointed! Call as far in advance as possible, as this GEM is well-known and at times, very hard to get a room, especially when there are events in town. Also, a huge plus as well, walking distance to all kinds of resturants, bars, etc. LOVE THEM!

I go to Chino weekly. I have stayed at the hotel 4 times. I love it. The only thing I have a lil issue with is the last two times I went to check in I didnt get to check into the room til after check in. I had added a night on one stay and instead of just keeping me in the same room I had to check out and check back into a different room. The guests before me in that room were quite messy and it took housekeeping longer to clean the room and i didnt get to go on the room til after 5 almost. There were still cleaning rags on the bathroom and the floor was not swept in the bathroom as well. I love staying here and I will continue to stay in this hotel each time I am there and they arent booked like the are always. Staff is awesome and helpful.

This place might not look like much on the outside but the rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Decent size too. Having a semi private balcony is also a plus. Decent TV and an alright channel selection. Ac is loud and behind the TV so you have either turn the ac off or turn the TV way up to hear what you're watching. Bed was comfy enough. Shower was kinda small but there was enough hot water. Pool looked clean and nice. Parking lot kinda sucks but there is enough space. I gave 4 out of 5 because I tried to check in at 3 and my room was not ready for another 35 mins. I really enjoyed the quiet. Couldn't hear anyone and no one bothered me and that's what I came for. I would stay again.

The motel looks quaint and the room was large and clean. I did not like the bed since it was too soft and old and was not firm enough for any orthopaedic support. The breakfast was simply what you would expect from BW. I wish it had more fruit and less sweet pastries and bread.

I've wanted to stay here for a long time now. Everytime I get the chance they are full. Last night we lucked out and there was an opening. I was not disappointed with my experience. If I could give 100 stars I would! I love the homey touches. The room was very clean, smelled clean, I loved that we had a balcony that we could go out on. I just loved the beams on the ceiling, the tile work in the bathroom was pretty. The grout was clean and the glass shower doors were sparkling. All the plants around the buildings were well cared for and really made the place feel peaceful. The pool area and pool were very clean. When I first saw this place the word "cute"came to mind. Cute is a word I would associate with a bed and breakfast, but this place has changed my mind. I just wish we could have stayed longer. To the owner and staff I must say, WELL DONE! I can't wait to come back.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel due to the kind staff and clean accommodations. The breakfast was a nice perk. The grounds of the hotel were very tropical looking to me. The decor of the rooms were modern and fresh. I will definitely return in the near future. I almost hesitated on writing a review because it seems like this place is a hidden gem in all areas of service, cleanliness, and comfort.

Good motel just off Rt 60 in Chino. Convenient to shops, restaurants. Book a King - with patio or balcony. Lots of room, comfortable layout. Breakfast room is small, and offering was adequate. All the staff encountered were very friendly and helpful.

Great room, Big , Clean and Comfortable and the outside patio right off the room was very nice feature. The bed was exceptional - I totally loved it! Having a fridge and coffee maker was another selling point for me as well.. Plenty of places to eat close by. Easy access to freeway was another good feature. Nicely landsacped and quiet. Totally enjoyed my stay and I will be back.

I travel frequently to the Los Angeles metro area and have found many of the Best Westerns in the city are similar in decor and design. They are fine. However ,this motel is a pleasant change. The rooms are spacious and have a lot of character. My room had a brick wall (can't remember the last time I saw that) which really cut down on the noise from outside. The bathroom was a little retro in design which I admired. The rates were about half of what I pay close to downtown LA or the airport. Chino is a charming and quiet town. Worth a look.

Nice and comfortable stay. Good for 1 night stay. The breakfast room was pretty small. The staff was nice and friendly. Over all basic hotel. Meets all expectations according to its class. Open pool area is nice. We liked how they have nice Palm trees around the property. Located in very accessible area where there are few plazas around it.

Very pleasant place to stay. Very nice landscaped grounds, friendly staff, and pretty good continental breakfast. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. No hard boiled eggs which would of been another option for protein.

We booked with Orbitz and when we arrived the room was not exactly as shown on the website. Building one where most of the 2 queen beds is located is away from the more tropical settings of the other rooms. The motel mostly offers a room with a single queen or single king but are fairly larger than the one we stayed in in building one. We tried to change rooms but Orbitz would not credit back the charge to upgrade to a larger room. Had to wait up to 5 days to be credited back. So basically had to take the room we booked with Orbitz. Ask for a room with king and get roll a way bed if you need to. Be sure the room also has a balcony to enjoy the tropical setting and you can open the sliding doors for fresh air. Breakfast included biscuits and gravy and oatmeal for hot items. Then typical continental breakfast food. Skip using Orbitz as third party to book a room!

My husband and I spent one night here to shorten our drive time. It is an older motel, but has been remodeled. We were able to park right outside our room which was nice. We had a king room that was clean and comfortable. The bed was too firm for our liking, but the sheets and pillows were all in good condition. There was a desk, chair, and refrigerator in the room also. The pictures on the wall were all of historic places around the area, which I liked. The bathroom had a window and when opened gave a nice cross breeze through the room. It was also clean and the towels were nice and fluffy. They do offer breakfast, there were biscuits and gravy, toaster waffles and pancakes, hard boiled eggs, pastries, and oatmeal available. They had coffee, tea, milk, OJ and apple juice to drink. The room where it is served is small, but there are a couple tables outside where you can sit too. The staff we encountered were nice and helpful. We would stay here again when passing through.

Good clean comfortable accommodation - nothing pretentious just good value for money. This was a solo trip going to a local air show. It provided me with all I needed, a comfortable bed and a good shower with OK restaurants nearby. Basic complimentary breakfast included but I was up too early to benefit from I!

The staff was nice, the room was pleasant and the breakfast was good. The only downfall is the continuous need to sign into the Internet if you don't continuously use your device. Also recommend avoiding the restaurant across the street, food was awful. We did like Dickeys.

Location Hotel is located on the central avenue in Chino, which is an area south of the mountains, full of large US parking lots with variety of shops & fast food restaurants. There is a taco place nearby, CVS pharmacy, food market across the road etc. The main freeways of Intetstate 10 & route 60 are 5 min drive to hotel. Downtown LA is over an hour drive away with LAX & the beach 1.5 hrs drive. Mt. Baldy is about 45 minutes away. Room My ground level room offered a direct car parking space outside which was most convenient. Inside a compact room was presented very clean, decor of a brick wall behind the beds & white paint colours which had a warm cosy ranch motel feel. Two large comfortable, expect soft, double beds with a bedside table in the middle that had an alarm clock & lamp in the centre, with one side of the beds offering two plug sockets. The other had a built in AC/heating unit which was less than a foot away from the bed- this was a bit too close. Large windows that had white black out blinds was also next to this bed. Two random chairs are offered in the room in odd positions but only where space allowed since a large desk, plus large unit of drawers & medium size fridge is offered below a decent size Samsung TV that faces the beds. The TV offered well over 60 channels of a decent typical premium cable selection. The desk had a phone, lamp & small coffee machine, no tea so really only desirable for coffee lovers since it's the filter kind. The hall way to the bathroom offered a wardrobe with two portable luggage racks, iron & board plus an easy to use safe suitable for a 13' laptop & tablets. The bathroom was quite poky, small but nonetheless clean with bath/shower combo, amenities were slim offering only mini bottle shampoo & soap, plus a soap face bar. There were some old ceiling heat lamps with a timer on the side- quite unique. Overall the room is OK functional clean better than your average motel and they offer two complimentary water bottles. Facilities There was free secure wifi that worked well with multiple devices. Catering facilities included some vending machines outside and there is a small room that offered complimentary breakfast which consists of cereals and breads etc, it was ok but very small bagels. You are not allowed to take to rooms as signage says so strongly. Leisure facilities included a swimming pool open from 9am-9pm. Parking is also free. Staff There was very much minimal interaction from staff as i arrived late and had to deal through a blacked out window like at the bank, this is because the office closes after dusk. Staff was friendly enough and explained clearly some local food options in the area at 11pm. Overall the motel was above average and reasonably priced under $100. Room was comfortable and functional with decent enough WIFI, jus bathroom amenities were poor.

To start the man in the front desk named Alfredo was super rude. I felt a sense of discrimination coming from him. Once in the room the tub was peeling and was forced to fish for dried paint! Unfortunately I didn't take pictures but I do remember the room number I stayed in which was 235. First and last time I stay at this place! I would've been better off staying at the motel 6 not far from here!

Very clean, large room with nice amenities. Friendly accommodating staff. I just went there to have a quiet night and that is what I got. I used the quiet time to put together my grandchildren's Easter Baskets and I needed scissors and tape which the front desk was happy to loan me.

Had a very nice one-day stay here back in February. Pilar, the front desk clerk, was very cheerful and helpful at check in. The motel is in a very convenient location, just a 10-minute drive from Chino airport where I was doing some flight training. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet and there was adequate closet and dresser space. In addition, the room had a small refrigerator. Check out was very efficient and the room rate was reasonable. In addition, there's a Starbucks within walking distance of the motel and a grocery store across the street from the motel. The only complaint I had, which I pointed out in a Best Western survey, was the bathroom sink had caulk peeling along the rim and sink drain didn't work. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and would stay here again.

Excellent stay at this hotel. Staff was friendly and professional. Room was beyond expectations. Large HD TV, refrigerator, plenty of towels and amenities. All equipment worked well. Good breakfast with free newspaper. The entire property was neat and clean and we felt comfortable and safe here.

This "motel" doesn't seems too bad, in my point of view, at least. And honestly, as long as the place is clean, has free parking and free wifi -- that is a bonus for me already, especially when it comes to traveling. However, there were some downsides that I encountered. I interacted with two different front desk women who did not check my ID because my room key got deactivated or when I needed to add my boyfriend's name on the account. They just asked for my room, and that's it -- which is horrible because that means anyone can come in and out the front desk and just need a room key without providing some sort of proof that it is the person who is on the reservation. The front desk need to be retrained in regards to the guests' safety concern. I know that not a lot of people may care about this because it seems to be minor but trust me, if one day, this sort of thing happen because the front desk was too "lazy" to ask for an ID, it will be all bad. Also, the front desk needs to tell their guest some important information such as the wifi (I had to figure it out myself and realized that the guy who checked me in, wrote it on the key card sleeves) and as for breakfast, he didn't even bother telling me about it till I notice the sign in my room. Sometimes letting the guest know is a good thing. Sad to say, even though the wifi was free, I was constantly being asked to log back in -- it was very annoying because I have to log back in, almost every hour and sometimes I would get kicked out from it. Also, the room needs more outlets, there were only 4 (one in the bathroom, one under the desk, and two under the A/C unit) and they were not that convenient -- I would suggest updating the lamps and replace them with lamps that comes with outlets (I've seen them at other hotels and they are very useful). I felt confused with their breakfast because there is a sign, saying that you cannot take the food with you, so you have to consume your breakfast in this tiny room that has about 4 tables -- that's it. I mean, so if all the tables are taken, does that mean I have to stand there and eat my breakfast? That didn't seem fair to me because I've been to other hotels, and they seem fine if we can take the breakfast into our room. The location is pretty far but as long as you don't mind driving, and get away from the LA lifestyle, this place is pretty good, considering how the freeway is just down the block. It is also surrounded with lots of shops and plazas. Overall, the trip wasn't too bad -- free parking, free wifi, BIG screen LED TV with lots of channels, pretty decent size fridge and free breakfast. I would come back here if the price is right.

I am so glad we stayed at this motel! We were visiting the Claremont Colleges, and this was about 15 minutes away by car. I am extremely noise sensitive, and requested a quiet room. We were put in the far back, second floor, and were very pleased with our room. Frankly, we were a bit more comfortable than in the fancy Hilton in Pasadena, where we'd been the night before at a conference. Our room had a balcony and a window we could open. I gave it 5 stars in the context of its being a budget motel. It was not fancy, but it was absolutely fine, and I would stay there again. I will say that while I had no issue with noise, I did notice that when we were up early, I heard a guy on the balcony next door on his cell phone, and his voice traveled. We never had an issue with noise while we were sleeping, and that was the only time I noticed how much sound travels. I suppose with a noisy neighbor it could be troublesome. It was not an issue during this stay. Our room had two queens, and was very large. The grounds were well tended, and were lush compared to the rest of the neighborhood. Lots of trees and greenery. The whole place felt cozy. The staff were friendly. I didn't take off a star for this because the rest of the stay was great, but I will say: the breakfast was pretty disappointing. The hard boiled eggs were in a refrigerator that was barely cool (happily I didn't get sick!), and there was not a lot in the way of fresh fruit. Because I liked our room so much, I didn't get too worked up about it. But they would do well to bring some freshness to the breakfast. Overall, I just loved the environment, and how close it was to our destination. This was an excellent choice for a budget motel.

Great location, great price, clean place, nice people. what's not to like? I don't think it is that difficult to let your guests know what time the breakfast is. We arrived and were told 6 till 10. Sign on door said 7 till 10. One sign in breakfast room said 6 till 10 and another sign about 15' away said 7 till 10. When you are planning an early departure it is good to know. Manager please take a look and train your staff. Other than that you have a great place.

very nice hotel. stayed here for 4 nights while attending nascar race. rooms where clean and bed was comfortable. very good location and felt save here. will stay here again next year. the only down side would be the continental breakfast area was small but good.

A great place to stay, the staff we dealt with were all very helpful and professional, the room was spotless and had every thing we needed, the bathroom was huge and very flash, handy to shops and restaurants, would definitely stay there again.

The air conditioner made an astonishing amount of noise, but did not cool down the room (and yes, I did have it set properly). The bath tub faucet had a fast drip and the tub itself had very unsightly flaked-off coating. Dim lighting. Refrigerator did not have any sort of freezer section. The bed, on the other hand, was very comfortable.

The Pinetree is a nice value with clean rooms that are large and all of the required amenities for a short stay. Located in a good area with stores and restaurants nearby. Overall, a nice value if in this part of CA.

I booked two Non-Smoking rooms and had the printed/written confirmation with me. They said I had to accept one Non-Smoking room and one SMOKING room, because they were all sold out of Non-Smoking rooms. (I had reserved the Non-Smoking rooms weeks in advance.) The Smoking room was so pungent that it about knocked us over when we opened the door. The guests in that room were miserable all night. This practice is unacceptable and even though the facility was fairly nice, otherwise, I cannot recommend this hotel or Best Western to anyone.

Stayed here a couple of times. All was ok. Rooms are clean and with sufficient space. Friendly staff. Property is well maintained. For business it would be an ok stay and for me a revisit worthy. Restaurants, Starbucks, gas and interstate are close by.

Very nice hotel, great grounds with a small but super clean swimming pool. Check in was a breeze. Our room was huge (2nd story) and warm and inviting. We had a smallish balcony. The bathroom was good with hot, powerful shower. Breakfast was awesome - so many choices in a small area - even biscuits and sausage gravy that tasted really great! The TV was a big flat screen. Even though the main road (Central) is right there our room was totally quiet. Internet connection (Wi-Fi) was strong. We got 2 bottles of complimentary water in the room. Check out was super easy! There are many eating options nearby. No complaints at all and we will for sure stay here again if we are back in the area and need a room again!!!

Great little motel. The rooms are small (we had a queen) but they squeeze in two chairs and a desk with chair. The wall the TV is against is painted brick and I love the texture and depth it gives the room. The TV is huge for the room, probably 55” and is set on top of a cabinet that holds the refrigerator. There is no microwave and no space for one either. The internet was very good but it was difficult finding places to charge electronics when you weren't sitting at the desk (my spouse used the desk). The bed was very high and I had to slide down to get my feet on the floor. It was very comfortable but I would have preferred the covers to have had more substance as they were quite flimsy. It got cold during the night and we weren't running the heater so a little extra weight to the covers would have been perfect. The bathroom was small but there was enough counter space because they had a banjo counter. The tiles were a fun, funky bright orange and beige. The sink was new and everything was nice and clean. I also like that there is a working window in the bathroom. The tub emptied very slowly in our room. Breakfast is advertised as continental but they include sausage gravy and biscuits. There is hot oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar to mix in as well as instant oatmeal packages. There are plenty of bread choices including some of the best raisin bread I have ever eaten. It was sliced thick and chock full of raisins. They have bottled OJ instead of a machine which is wonderful because I find the mix in so many of the machines have too much water. It was such a pleasure having good OJ. It is in a very small room (converted guest room) with three tables and a counter with three stools - not much space but it seems to work. I have stayed here before and this recent stay was as pleasant as the last. The prices are also excellent.

This hotel is a great value. The lobby was clean, the staff was inviting. My room was very clean and neat, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was fresh and had a good variety. The location was quiet and easy to find. If I am in the area again I would be more than happy to stay here again

could not get front desk to do anything.just sat on the phone all the time. stayed to days and they still would not our room safe open. location was good ,bot front desk really sucked. lots of places to eat.

When ever I fly into Southern California, I almost always fly into Ontario. I usually arrive late and don't really feel like driving very far. This little motel is exactly what I needed. It's clean, located within a block of the 60 in a quiet, yet populated area (there are a bunch of shopping centers and strip malls). My sister and I arrived late, and the lady on the night desk was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic, but that was what we needed. The room was clean, and the bedroom area had recently been updated. I really appreciated the fact that there was NO smoke smell. Too often while staying in motels, you can tell that someone didn't follow the No Smoking rule, and so the place smells funky, but not here.

Very comfortable room and location and accommodating staff. The mattress is not premium, but comfortable. The breakfast is good, although there is no meat. The eggs are hard boiled only, but done very well.

bed was very comfortable,, great value,, searched Trivago and hotels were more expensive and hotels were not the same quality/value as Best Western,, will definitely stay at Best Western hotels in the future

This hotel is a gem. we were totally surprised with how clean and modern it was. The staff was great as was the location. Excellent value for your money. Have stayed in higher end hotels that weren't this nice! Only downfall was breakfast, could offer a few more choices :)

We have been staying at this motel for years-close to freeways - and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful and considerate to our needs. we recommend this motel to all of our family and friends.

Sometimes you just want a nice, quiet place to relax after a long day of driving. This location more than fit the bill. Close enough to the freeway and shopping, yet still quiet and somewhat secluded.

We stayed here for one night in December. We arrived late in the night and were happily greeted. The room was spacious, but had a weak front door which was little scary. Also there was an inside door to the next motel room. That door was weak as well and did not even block the TV noise. Good thing we had neighbors who went to sleep early as did we. The bed was comfortable and we fell sleep easily. In the morning we had the breakfast which was good, even though a little small. All in all, a fairly good stay.

Very spacious, bed firm, good heater, private small balcony, quiet. No microwave or lots of toiletries, just soap and shampoo. Refrigerator took long to chill but worked fine. Conveniently located to stores/restaurants and freeway. I do not recommend Olive Garden.

Stayed during the week and was very pleased. Not too far from the freeway. Property had plenty of parking and free wifi. The free breakfast was decent and my room upstairs came with a balcony. The room and tax were very reasonable and would come back again

This hotel is relatively small, but has a cute, quaint appearance in the middle of a bustling city. We had a room with one queen bed. The room was very spacious and clean. It must be an older Best Western hotel, since the bathroom area was an "all in one", with the shower/tub, sink, toilet in one room (which was not a problem). The only downside was that the complimentary breakfast hours did not start until 7 a.m., which can be troublesome for business travelers who have early meetings or any traveler who wants to get an early start on their drive.

My boyfriend and I booked this motel for our trip to a friend's wedding and Disneyland. The wedding was the day after Thanksgiving, so a busy weekend for hotels, but we were still able to book the rooms about a month and a half out at a very good price. As AAA members, we got their rate which was only $56/night...which for Thanksgiving weekend is practically unheard of! I read lots of good reviews before we booked, so I knew this was going to be a good one. The location was convenient for us, as the wedding was 10 mins away in Pomona, and it was only about a 30 min drive to Disneyland. The motel is located very close to Starbucks, CVS, grocery stores, restaurants, freeways etc. We checked in after 9 and it was no problem at all, and our room was more than ample for the price we paid! The room was not huge, but for just 2 people who weren't even at the room much, we didn't need anything bigger. We were in the long 1-story building so we didn't have a patio, but for the price I can't complain about that. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was a good size, the TV was great, they have free Wifi, a mini fridge in-room, and I really liked the continental breakfast! Biscuits, gravy, mini pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, pastries...really not bad for a free breakfast. Definitely took advantage of it both days we were there! The pool looked nice, but it was too cold to swim (and no hot tub). My only complaint was that it took a while to get an extra blanket for our bed. The first night was a bit chilly, and I called the front desk first thing in the morning to ask for an extra blanket. I called again at around 12pm, as we still hadn't received an extra blanket. By 4pm, one STILL hadn't come, so I tracked down one of the housekeepers and got one directly from her. Not the biggest deal, just kind of annoying. I don't find myself in this area often and when I am I usually stay with family or friends, but should we have the need to stay in a hotel in this area again, we would definitely be happy to come back to the Best Western Pine Tree Motel!

Booked this motel due it's proximity to the Fairplex in Pomona. Ours was a one night stay before heading to Las Vegas the next morning. Older facility brought up to modern amenities without losing it's charm and character. Well maintained and very nicely landscaped, my wife and I both immediately thought of those old Elvis Presley spring break movies as soon as we pulled in and we mean that as a compliment. Very helpful staff. Anything you need within a few blocks. Would definitely stay here again.

I decided for this hotel because we were 40 minutes away from a wedding we attended and close to my family. It was a very nice motel. The beds are very firm which my husband favors. Our room was close to the breakfast room. Very small room for eating at. I think my one complaint is the bathroom shower was difficult to put at the right temperature.

Very clean, great water pressure, air and heat both work. The hotel grounds remind me of Hawaii because of all the palm trees. Has a tropical feel to it. Rooms are very clean, this is about our 4th stay here this year. Breakfast is okay but they have restaurants very close by if you don't want the breakfast. Beds are very comfortable. Hotel staff are respectful and helpful

We enjoyed our stay here in summer so much that we just had to return for another stay! Wonderful and clean rooms with ample amenities - terrific value. Especially if you are like us who fancy the rustic resort charm that this Best Western hotel offers, it feels like a country getaway almost. The swimming pool while not huge, it's a lovely little space to chill out by the pool. Breakfast was very basic and certainly can be improved on, but our expectations were not high on breakfast anyhow.

Pros: room was very spacious, lots of cabinet space, lots of counter space in the bathroom and hallway, full length mirrors, plastic bag to put your laundry, quiet, parking included, the hard boiled eggs during the free breakfast were real hard boiled eggs not the kind from a bag and they were just made and still hot Cons: customer service isn't the best (when we called to check out, the person just said "ok bye" instead of saying something like "thank you for staying with us") hard to see room numbers if checking in at night (had to go to general area we were told to go to, park and look to see if we parked near our room number), the room keys did not work when we initially tried them so we had to go back to the front desk in the cold night, pillows were bumpy and not soft Overall it was a pleasant stay for the price, and I would recommend. The location was great (not a far drive to disneyland, etc.)

We had to move out for a couple of days while our home was being fumigated. This place was quiet and very clean. The room was large and nicely decorated with a big, comfy bed. Close to all shopping and restaurants.

The room was small, but easy to move around in. The beds were comfortable, and I was able to make the desk chair higher so that I could sit with proper body position while I typed a long document. There were lots of options for a good breakfast, all good except that fresh Danish would be better than pre-packaged. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, our stay was pleasant and comfortable for a very reasonable price.

Since I work very early, I didn't appreciate having to wait outside the breakfast room for the lady to open late (after 6:00 AM)...it was cold and one day I waited up to 6:10 AM until one guest went a complaint at the front desk (he was leaving to the airport and wanted to have something to eat first)

We had business at the Chino Airport so we booked based on Trip Advisor. It was a bit further away than we thought especially during rush hour. My first thought upon driving up to the check-in awning area was of road trips with my parents in the 1970s. Very much of a motor inn type feeling. Staff was pleasant at check-in. Our room was in one of the two story buildings at the very end of the property which was nice. The room was quite warm and stuffy so we immediately turned on the very loud air conditioning unit. Took a while for it to cool off. It was too warm outside to leave the sliding glass door open to the little deck area and the a/c was quite loud for sleeping. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean which is what is most important. This place is fine for a night while passing through.

The place is reasonably priced and clean, and I would have given a higher rating if not for a bad experience I had with Jennifer at the check out desk . She was terrible to deal with, had a bad attitude and has very poor customer service skills.

I kind of can't say enough nice things about this hotel. It was so affordable, close to so much, and the service from the staff was really top notch. I haven't ever had the need to stay in Chino before and I'm not sure how often I will in the future, but when I do, I will 100% be staying here. Before arrival, I was a little concerned with staying in a "motel" where the room doors go directly outside - it doesn't feel super safe to me. However, I felt safe and secure here. The neighborhood is busy with shops like Albertsons, Smart & Final, and a pet supply store, as well as tons of places to eat. The rooms were set back from the road enough and the property had tons of trees so it wasn't like the doors were screaming to passers-by "Open me!!" I loved that there was always parking and it was shady too, since it was pretty toasty this weekend. Things being so close meant we didn't have to drive to get lunch or run to the store, everything was a super short walk away. The room: yeah, it looks pretty 70's. The bathrooms are VERY orange but the counter space to get ready as a lady was amazing and the shower was spacious with a nice new showerhead. The water pressure was great and the water got very hot. From pictures and the room description, I didn't think there would be a fridge and microwave, but to my surprise, there were both! Very exciting. The room was really spacious and the air conditioning worked great. I enjoyed having the little deck out the sliding door and being on the ground floor, we had chairs and a little lounge thing out there. The room was clean and mostly quiet. One night, I could definitely hear folks upstairs making a ruckus pretty late. I almost called the front desk but didn't, so no fault of the hotel on that. Continental breakfast was good! I was expecting only cereal and fruit like reviews said but there was oatmeal, hot biscuits and gravy, and some microwaveable waffles and pancakes (that admittedly my boyfriend said were terrible but you might like 'em, I don't know). They also had hard boiled eggs which are like my favorite breakfast ever so thanks Best Western!! Overall, so happy with this place. Checking in at almost 3am was a breeze, checking out (a llittle late too) was just as easy, and asking for toiletries I'd forgotten or a couple fresh towels was always met with kindness.

I picked this location because of its location and the BW brand name. We were visiting for the purpose of seeing a concert at the LA county fair and this location was a short drive from the venue. Overall this was a very nice stay. It was very quiet and the room was large with a comfortable bed. The pillows were a little on the thick side for my liking but other than that it was a great value.

My family stayed at this sweet Pine Tree BW in Chino CA for my son's wedding! I made the mistake of staying at a competitor hotel a few months earlier and will not be staying anywhere else except the Pine Tree BW when I return!!! This sweet hotel is super clean, neat and comfortable! Thank You Pine Tree :)

Well located in Chino for Planes of Fame and Yanks museum, and petrol and grocery stores, courteous staff, clean, safe and reasonably priced. Small breakfast provided (average for this price point) however arrangements for pre 7am cannot be made. Would stay here again.

Room is setup differently than most hotel rooms. More spacious room overall and plenty of room in bathroom and a separate dressing room with closet. Mirrors throughout the room with a balcony. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance along with shopping outlets, movies, banks. Internet was excellent for connection. Breakfast was the only downfall with small room to eat and get around. Offers cereal and oatmeal, no eggs or waffles.

After a long haul from Europe we took purposely this hotel as an alternative way to a bit more expensive hotels located closer to West of LA. However, the hotel was chosen also to be in the middle of Greater LA for the trips Eastbound from LA (Yoshua Tree NP, Palm Springs). I always prefer Best Westerns somehow and this one has met definitively my overall expectations once again. Nice room, various amenities including outdoor sort-of private pool, pretty decent neighborhood with various businesses and services around. But of course, very suitable if you do have a plan to spend some time+money at the Ontario Mills Outlet, which is like 10 minutes away. And btw.: perfect breakfasts they have!

Always a clean comfortable room at a fair price. just what was expected,and then some . This is a great deal for anyone passing by. There is no reason that my review should be any different, I look forward to my next visit, singing the praises of this one. Thank you, !! PS- mattress was awesome!!!!

We had a Big room & We LOVED IT! HOTEL has a Super Duper Small Breakfast, NO WAFFLE MAKER! Denny's to sit or Yogi's on the run, or take back to room. There's a variety of food places close to the hotel!

We were going to the L.A. County Fair and to a concert and didn't want to drive home so booked a room here. Quite and clean and free bottle water in the room NO CHARGE! Staff from Office to maids very nice and friendly. I will stay here again price was good too! Continental Breakfast as WELL!

This place definitely impressed me. It was so cute and unique, and more than I expected from a Best Western, honestly. The service was great, and the room was nice. The bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean. It seemed to be in a nice location as well. I will certainly be back.

Needed somewhere close to LA to await the arrival of the test of the group, this fitted the bill. Up to usual excellent BW standard. Idle for purpose dipite the traffic on the I10. Take a southerly route.

We took a family vacation to LA and didn't want to stay in a cheap dump in LA. We were about 45 minutes from LA. Our hotel was clean, quiet comfy beds . Very cute and rustic looking. They have a continental breakfast, not much to choose from but still happy we had the free breakfast. They have patio chairs and lounge chairs on the patios which we loved. The separate area to do make up from the bathroom was a plus. Grocery store, dollar tree, restaurant directly across the street. Highly recommend if looking for an affordable and clean place to stay. We stayed in a patio, pool view room on the 1st floor. Will definitely stay there again
