Great accommodation. The room was large and spacious. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of food and drink (hot and cold) to choose from. Friendly and helpful staff. Cleanliness is a priority with daily housekeeping and the surroundings clean. The location is good as there is easy access to public transport with the bus stop in front of the hotel. You can transfer to the Q train which goes to Manhattan. There are several restaurants and convenient store within walking distance. I would definitely stay again.

I will never stay at this hotel again and pay for extremely poor room and rude management reported room issues was not offered another room asked about compensation and was told too bad we have the money now
"no housekeeping still not cleaning the rooms"
still no housekeeping. Breakfast was excellent Was close to our family and is better than any other options. The breakfast had a large variety to choose from. Hot eggs, bread, pastries, cereal, waffle maker, yogurt.coffee, milk, juices. This was actually an enjoyable experience after paying almost 400$ per night without housekeeping. The just took our dirty towels and gave us clean towels. Did not replace any paper items or shampoo and soap.
"Amazing mini honeymoon"
we love our room it was soooooo quiet and cosy, the bathroom was soo clean and elegant. we wish we could stay more than 3 nighs it was soooo comfortable. closed to the Q subway to Manhattan we have the best mini honeymoon.
"Bed Bugs and No Refund"
My room had bed bugs. I didn't find a bug until I had stayed two nights, but was all bitten up. I showed the bug and my bites to the front desk and they refused to give a full refund. Then the man at front desk belittled me and lied to other guests about bugs. He also lied in a google review about a “3rd party exterminator investigation,” which never happened.

Ms. Veronica W, we always appreciate a fair review and sadly your review falls under false and manipulative category. IF the room was infested with bed bugs (As Per Your Review), you would have experienced or noticed them instantly and not after two days until your check out day, when the hotel bill is settled. We had gotten the room checked in your presence by the exterminator, but you didn't acknowledge their Test Results because it didn't match your expectations. Also, The real reason you used the bed bug story was to blackmail us on refunding you since we charged you the incidental fee for cleaning the room after you smoked in our non-smoking room and used illegal drugs found near the coffee table. Our front desk had to call the Police and as far as we all know, at this point you had left the property as the police had arrived. We go extra mile to help and serve our guests and are always happy to help. Our hotel serves to many guests and most are family members who come to enjoy to a relaxing experience. And we take pride in keeping our hotel to an above standard to make sure it's safe and hygienic.
"Great location and great stay"
Firstly parking here is really easy they have a 2 floor parking lot. The hotel is right by the water with so many restaurants near by. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was huge and clean. I had a personal work space with quick WiFi access I was very pleased with my stay!!!
"Really bad communication"
We booked this hotel for our trip to New York on September 5th. On September 1st they emailed saying our booking had been cancelled due to maintenance work on the hotel. We had no help from them at all from them with finding alternative accommodation.In fact it was left up to us to cancel our rooms.
"Decent"
The hotel was decent if you need some place quick to stay. There was no good parking. It was very noisy. The air in the lobby was out. The card machine wasn't working because it was so hot and we couldn't check in. We had to wait almost an hour in the hot lobby before they said we could go to our room and they contacted us later to finish checking in.
"Agreeable place to stay"
My husband and I stayed in this hotel many times. This is mostly because we like the area and accomodation is limited. Another cheaper hotel is nearby, but almost always full. Overall it is a good hotel with clean rooms, all with A/C and heating unit and regular room service. Bathrooms are clean, well supplied and always with hot water. Some rooms at the basement level can be darker with older furniture. The internet connection works great. One may connect several devices at the same time. There is TV, mini fridge, and coffee/tea. There is quite a variety of food at breakfast, although the room is small and may be crowded at times. Food and utensils dry up periodically and one has to wait for replenishment. The weak point is the reception staff. They change frequently and apparently are not very experienced. They are mostly fixed in their mobile phones, do not greet customers, and sometimes not even interested to look at who is going in and out. I also had a disappointing experience on my latest stay when one receptionist asked my email and telephone number on check-out and subscribed me to the Best Western rewards scheme without informing me. Fortunately that was reversed later and I got a message from the manager. But be careful with the staff and urge them to explain properly what they are doing .
"Clean and well run."
The place has a fresh new look. The room was super clean, and contained amenities like a refrigerator and coffee maker, including complimentary coffee and tea. The complimentary breakfast offered more than anticipated, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
"Convenient and clean"
Clean facilities, spacious rooms for NY, convenient to restaurants and the water and an easy drive to our family event in Brooklyn. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

"Amazing"
My family and I had an amazing time at the hotel it was clean all the staff was amazing rooms were cleaned every day only downfall was when we arrived the elevator was broken but within two hours it was fixed. Would definitely come back and stay so thank you all for the amazing job

"Better than expected"
Safe location, clean rooms and good maid service everyday. The staff was helpful when we first checked in. They even called me that morning to verify my stay. Elevator didn't always work. Walls are a little thin. A bit expensive for a Best Western.

"Great Location-Safe Location"
Room was nice. I felt safe leaving my car in the lot. There were fresh fruit and almond milk with breakfast. Location is safe and in walking distance to many restaurants and a store. I will stay there again

"Don't stay here! They cheated."
We come to the hotel at 10 am hoping to leave our luggage at the hotel until checkin. We we told that they don't hold luggage. That should be on there web site. I will never stay here again. They have a business obligation to hold luggage for early arrival.

"Do Not Stay Here"
We stayed at this hotel in March because it was in close proximity to where we needed to be, and I must admit I was skeptical about booking it. The good: - Marginally clean room - Close proximity to various local attractions The bad: - Windows do not lock, which is not very comforting given our room was on ground level - Uncomfortable beds that feel like they are 20 years old - Very noisy which makes it difficult to get any sleep The ugly: - Parking is a nightmare. We watched staff allow several cars who were of the same nationality as they were to park in a no parking area. One of those cars blocked the hotel entrance. When we tried to park, we were told we are going to get towed and when we expressed concerns at the front desk of the hotel, we were basically told the people parked illegally are leaving the next morning and are okay to park there and our car would be towed. Discrimination at it's finest! Never will we stay at this property again and would not recommend it yo anyone.

Please know that our hotel has received exceptional ratings from many guests and public which includes our neighbors as well, for its services and security. And again I understand that your concern of safety, but with the 24 hour manned security staff, cameras and our front desk behind you, there is nothing to worry but enjoy your stay. I'm sorry about the excessive noise but in New York City, noise pollution is something that can't be controlled, no matter how much we try. Road noise is very prevalent in the city. And I wished you shared this concern, we could have provided you with ear plugs. We are 100% against any discrimination and do not tolerate any, no matter who it may be. We feel very hurt that you believe this way but the “same nationality” people you are referring, were our USA Army veterans who were in the area to discuss and assist in the Ukraine war. Yes I admit one of their car was parked in the no Parking zone, but this was temporary for less than 10 minutes and our front desk staff do not recall on saying anything what you have mentioned here. Nevertheless, I'm sorry we couldn't let you park at the No Parking zone and for the excessive noise on the street.
"Overnight stay"
The hotel is clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast that is offered has plenty of options and is convenient for guest to enjoy. Our room had laminate flooring which were quit slippery so pack some slippers! Parking is tight and limited however we knew that before we booked our stay. We never had any issues finding a spot to park. There is a small business hub to print documents, soda and snack machines as well as ice machines. A short walk to the corner is a convenience store to pick up any essentials you may have forgotten, a quick sandwich or some drinks for the room. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and should we need to go back I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.
"My Family Vacation"
This hotel is over priced and poorly constructed for people who visit, no working vent in the bathrooms, Half of a shower door, no safety bar to hold on to coming out of the shower , no air circulation muggy and hot walking in the hallway, Parking was terrible lot too small to accommodate all the guest, Lift from front door by stairs was out of order 14 days making it difficult to carry luggage, and walk the steps
"Great Hotel"
Both morning and night staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful with all inquiries I had. The evening concierge was very sensitive to the reasoning for my stay and she went above and beyond every evening upon my return to the hotel to ask how the individual was doing as to why I was there and that truly meant a lot.

I believe this was only a 2 star hotel, but definitely deserves to be a 3 star. The girl at the front desk for check in was very pleasant and helpful. Very clean, and close to many restaurants. would definitely stay here again

"BEWARE OF STAYING DURING COVID"
I booked a room with my boyfriend to get away for a while. Several hours after, my coworker let me know he has COVID. I was just hanging out with him two days prior to this. I told my boyfriend it's best he stay away from me until I got tested. I also don't want to infect staff or other guests. I decided it's best I cancel. I knew there was a fee but I figured maybe they could make an exception for unforeseen circumstances. I even said I am okay with receiving zero money back and then just holding my money until I get a negative test result. I would be happy to stay then. Not only did they not grant my request, they never even responded. I wrote a review to make sure others don't go through a similar experience as I did and lose out on almost $200. They had the nerve to email me and ask I edit the review (and yes, this is while they still did not respond to my original email to ask them what could be done about my situation). Highly unprofessional. Customer service is everything to me. I've always put my money where the best customer service is. This experience has been terrible. Never in my life have I had a business not even bother to respond to my email.

"Very clean"
The hotel room was very clean, plenty of parking, the staff were courteous and helpful. Close to restaurants. The only downside was no breakfast due to COVID, but that was to be expected due to the situation.
"Great NYC summer staycation by the Bay"
We live in NYC but found the Best Western Plus Brooklyn Bay Hotel to be a perfect base for a two-night summer staycation by the water. So much was in easy walking distance: a seafood dinner overlooking the marina, whale watching and sunset cruise from a pier right in Sheepshead Bay, swimming at Manhattan Beach, relaxing at Plumb Beach, nature trails at Marine Park, and roast beef sandwiches from the famous RollN'Roaster (just across the street). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and very clean. I felt reassured by the COVID-19 precautions that were being followed.

"Wonderful group stay experience!"
Our group stay at Best Western Plus Brooklyn Bay last week was very pleasant. The service was outstanding on all stages - from booking the rooms with Reema, the group sales manager (very professional, prompt and accommodating), to the front desk assistance and hotel staff. The location is perfect (a very picturesque neighborhood, beautiful Sheepshead Bay canal across the road, wonderful restaurants and shops), the rooms are big and clean. We have already booked our next stay in March and we hope to be returning to this hotel again and again. Highly recommended!

"Great experience"
My wife and her parents had a very positive experience at BW Brooklyn. The rooms were good size, clean and well maintained. The breakfast had great variety and was fresh. The staff was very attractive and when my wife asked about fresh coffee, it was made promptly. Very good price for location and the weekend. We will definitely stay here again.

"comfortable stay"
to begin there is a free parking lot, which is rare in brooklyn. then there is a no hastle check in at the front desk. the rooms are properly equipped with soaps shampoo tissues a note pad and a pen. of course with phones a tv and a desk. there is a tea and cofee maker with tea bags and coffee bags and sugar. a bucket for ice cubes. a vending machine for cold drinks. two comfortable beds and an iron with a board. the location is right across the bay with easy access to all parts of brooklyn. a simple but ample breakfast is offered free every morning, milk coffee juice eggs fruit bread some pastry cereal and pancakes.
"Clean Hotel. Good Location."
This hotel had a helpful front desk staff, was clean and had a good location in Brooklyn for my needs. It is right in the heart of Sheepshead Bay. Easy walking distance to a few nice restaurants and local haunts. Also very close to Coney Island and the beach. The room was small, but very clean. The morning breakfast was hot and very adequate. The only issue I had was noise in the morning from Emmons Avenue. Overall, I would stay here if future travels bring me to Brooklyn.
"Not Worth What i PAID"
the tv did not have all of the channels working the mini fridge did NOT keep my food/beverages cold. the shower head had very weak water pressure the wifi was very slow in speed / weak there are no rooms for guests who smoke -- for a hotel thats right by the water sometimes its WAY TOO cold to step outside to smoke, there was no designated area outside either for guests to smoke. the staff reached out and disturbed me at 11am when i specifically asked for late checkout at 12. poor communication amongst the staff members on that one. i feel like paid too much for this stay.
"Noisy at night"
Just back from staying at this hotel not too bad a stay here, room clean and bed comfortable. The hotel quite a way for Manhattan you can get the bus outside this hotel and it does stop at the Q train subway you then have to catch the subway to Manhattan which is a forty minute journey after the fifteen minute bus ride very tiring doing this every day. The breakfast at the hotel not bad you have a polystyrene plate and plastic cutlery and help yourself to food all that plastic wastage not very good for the planet! I had a basement room very noisy all night with staff using the lift all night and people talking and using the vending and ice machines all night, no consideration for guests not very happy with this, but apart from that not a bad hotel

"Hospitality in Brooklyn"
Best Western, in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, is very clean, organized, detailed. The mattress on the bed could have been more comfortable (too hard) but it was acceptable and the room was very nice and complete with all amenities.

Stayed for 1 night for business.. Front desk staff at check in and check out were friendly and helpful. Offered helpful opinions related to transportation (cab, Uber, Lyft) and places to order for dinner. Room was clean and modern and like having fridge in room, very convenient. Will stay again next time in the area for business. In nicer weather there are nice waterfront restaurants nearby as well within walking distance
"Clean and good Food"
We stay here everything I head home. its close to great places to eat walking distance and eateries where you can sit outside when it's nice. Parking is not the greatest but they always have a spot for me. The people who work here are always so very nice and the Breakfast/coffee is pretty good compared to some other places we've stayed. If you can don't get a room right by the bus stop. It could get loud late at night by the people waiting for the bus.

"NOT Great"
Not Great! Paid $425 fnot to be in a basement or ground level floor but when I checked in at 3pm, clerk said "only room left was a ground floor" So frustrating and not believable. Right on street level so not safe to leave curtains open. Also, although the room was updated, bad musty smell was gross.

Our records indicate that you booked our basement room and you requested the Front Desk agent to be upgraded to our premium rooms. We do accept guest requests, only if we have other rooms available. And unfortunately, due to a busy weekend, we were all booked for the upper floor rooms and we couldn't accommodate you. Please understand our intention is always to help and accommodate our guests, but sometimes due to the restrictions in the inventory, this may not be possible. Our basement rooms are marked and are cheaper than our upper floor rooms. Nevertheless, the basement rooms are never different from the level of comfort, cleanliness and convenience the upper floor rooms provide.
"Very nice stay in New York"
We spent a week with the family. The hotel room was very comfortable for 4 people. The hotel provides outside and underground parking. The breakfasts are very good. Bus connection brings you quickly to the underground station as well as to the Coney Island Beaches.
"Excellent place to stay in Brooklyn!"
This hotel is the nicest hotel to stay at if you want to be close to Coney Island. The hotel is very modern and clean, the staff was very friendly, and you're only 15 minutes from Coney island. We read other reviews about the limited parking, and during the week it wasn't an issue. On the weekends we just left our rental car parked and took a $15 Uber ride to Coney Island. Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff were quick to help when we requested extra coffee for our room. The bed was very large and comfortable. We were facing the street so it was a little noisy but it's NY! We were expecting that and brought ear plug so it wasn't an issue. We'll definitely stay there again on our next trip to Brooklyn. :-)
"PLACE TO STAY WHILE IN BROOKLYN"
I'm from Brooklyn but live away now and it's not easy finding a decent place to stay. When I found the Best Western I knew i'd like the location and I was right. It was a great location right off the highway and you can walk around sit at the cafe's walk the pier and enjoy good restaurant's. The place is clean the staff are all very nice. Always a smile on their face when they see you coming. Even when I've called to change reservations or make reservations Carl was always so very nice. All 3 of the desk attendants we had we all very nice at all hours of the day. I would definitely recommend this place. The prices vary and vacancy is not always accurate when you go through some travel sites so please give them a call. The prices are not always accurate on line either so best to call. When you find a spot that works you stick with it. I plan on staying here every time I come into town.
"Not what the appear"
This is a place that has 45 rooms and only 15 parking spaces for customers. They do not share this information with you prior to checking in and only then do they say that parking is "first come first serve" which is true of all hotel parking but usually they have to have a lot more parking spaces.
"Excellent hotel with terrfic staff!"
If you are looking for a place to stay in Brooklyn, NY this is the place to stay. Affordable and worth the money, I found this hotel to be stellar for this location. Rooms are updated and clean and are very spacious and the WiFi was very good. I was able to work and answer my emails without an issues and they even provided a goody bag of water and granola bars when I checked in (to thank me for being a Rewards member). The only drawback is the parking. It is extremely limited so you are not guaranteed a space and you cannot reserve in advance. I have stayed twice and both times I found a spot. Just be prepared that the lot might be full and navigating the lot is a challenge. They didn't have much space to work with so they did the best they could. I would highly recommend this hotel without reservation!

Good service, poor parking, noisy from traffic but good location to go walking in the evening. Macy's backstage down the street and great prices also Applebee's was good there and their drinks are great
"Clean, comfortable, welcoming"
Would definitely recommend this place. Clean and comfy rooms, powerful hot showers. We were leaving for an early flight, so didn't have the normal breakfast, however the reception offered to make us up a breakfast picnic which we were really grateful of, and was an unexpected bonus. All staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. The only reason I have given this place a V Good, instead of excellent is due the LOUD air-conditioning - seriously Best Western, please do something about this.

Fantastic service from Reception. Hotel was well positioned. Great and clean room. Will most definitely return. We walked to Coney Island but you should rather take the UBER. Nice neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. We received a discount at the local Applebey's for staying at the hotel. Great food and affordable when on a budget.

Staff terrible , breakfast poor , staff is so very angry . Reception is not respectfully. I just asked where is the smoking area , and after couple minutes the guy from reception come to outside and a cigarette from me. Crazy .

And when you started to smoke in the hotel, the gentleman who came and spoke to you was actually a very concerned parent and not the hotel staff as you claim, whos kids were right next to you, breathing the second hand smoke. This guest also complained about you and we requested you to not smoke on the hotel premises. Our hotel is completely Non-Smoking and this is why majority of the family members choose our hotel for its cleanliness and healthy atmosphere. Thank you.
"Surprisingly good"
It was an unplanned stay since I got delayed and was after midnight when my company made a reservation for one night. I was a little skeptic about staying in a hotel in this part of the city but to my surprise I found a new or renovated facility with clean rooms and comfortable beds as well as a functional bathroom and impeccable common areas.
"Nice hotel, not without its problems"
Amazing how they squeezed a hotel into this plot of land but they did it. It has its ups and downs. Ups: the hotel is clean and modern, rooms are fairly spacious and well-appointed, staff is very friendly. Downs: parking is a bear, the air conditioning in the rooms is very loud and will probably wake you up during the night if you're not a heavy sleeper, the breakfast is mediocre, at best.
"One night stay"
First time staying at this hotel. We are familiar with the area as we have family nearby but typically do not stay overnight. We checked in after 10 pm and checked out at 8 am. On-site parking was big plus. Front desk staff were polite. Room was very clean and appeared to be updated as the furnishings and design were modern and clean. Bath towels could be a little larger, and the hallways are cold/could use brightening, but no real complaints. It's certainly not a luxury hotel but perfectly fine place to catch a night of sleep in a convenient location.

very clean and modern interior. Breakfast was included, very clean diner with wide selection of hot and cold breakfast items. Free parking but there are only about 10 spots and very hard to find a spot on the street.
"A Very Nice Hotel in the Heart of Sheepshead Bay"
When I was an hour or so away, I called the hotel to request a "quiet" room. Reema, who also checked me in efficiently and quickly, was very accommodating. Since I was a BW Rewards Member, I received a "goodie bag" (2 bottles of water, an apple, and 2 granola bars) at check-in......very nice, unexpected, and much appreciated. The room was "beautiful." A single king with 2 easy chairs and matching ottoman. There was plenty of counter space, lamps at both ends of the bed, a small refrig, coffee maker, etc. The bathroom was nicely laid out, with lots of counter space and an enclosed shower. The bathroom sink looked brand new and was very attractive. The shower was very good (pressure), but the water took forever to warm up. A waste of water!! The bath towel could have been a little larger, but was pretty soft. There is an exercise room with four pieces of equipment. The room is available 24 hours a day! There is a very small parking lot, and, I believe, parking is on a first come, first served basis. If you don't get a spot in the lot, I'm pretty sure that on-the-street parking is incredibly "tight." The breakfast room was very attractive and sizeable (seating for around 30). Food was more than ample: 3 kinds of fresh fruit, 2 kinds of sausage/2 kinds of eggs, waffle maker (with whipped cream and Hershey's syrup), several kinds of pastries, 6 kinds of teas, etc. My only criticism is that breakfast begins at 7 AM, which is less than convenient for early risers, such as myself, and those who want or need to get on the road early.

We arrived at 3 pm and room was not ready even check-in time is 2 pm. Other than that everything is very good, include breakfast and parking. Toilet was leaking a little every time after use. You can hear every noise on the street and neighbor''s room. But mattress and pillows are comfortable. Location was good for our Brooklyn/Brighton interest.

"Loved this hotel"
The rooms were well appointed. I had a King bed which was comfortable. The room was clean with lots of towels. Front desk very accommodating. Nice complimentary breakfast. I would stay here again in a New York minute!!

Clean room, clean bathroom, clean and comfortable beds. The strongest feature was the front desk staff. The gentleman ('D') and his Supervisors ('S') were fantastic. We had a special limo request and they worked very hard to meet our needs. I regretted not tipping them -- I was simply too preoccupied with a sick mother who needed a smooth ride to the airport area. "Best Western Plus Brooklyn Bay Hotel – RECOMMENDED!"
For the record, I am a Best Western Diamond member who has stayed in 35+ Best Western hotels and another 150+ other hotels both nationally and internationally. I love to give good reviews and I hate giving bad ones. This a good review, well earned by this hotel. This is the 4th time I've stayed in this hotel and I'll be back. It's well located near highways, many fine restaurants, movie theaters, and shopping at the Kings Plaza Mall. The rooms are large, clean, and well supplied with amenities as a Best Western Plus hotel should be. They also offer a hot breakfast. The staff is outstanding. Check-in and out is as easy as saying hello. It was great to see my buddy Kabir and make a new friend in Dhawal. If there is one drawback, it's the small (free) parking lot as street parking is really rough. No problems this stay. This was my 23rd Best Western stay this year and it was great.
"Cold, noisy and stinky"
Room was very much the same style I've had experienced before in Best western hotel:; nothing special and style is old.. Quite ugly actually into my opinion. Room was clean which was great, although I found some long hairs from a bed.. Air condition unit was really dirty and loud while using it. I was freezing whole night and there was another air condition unit on a hallway which made terrible sound whole night. When arriving and leaving, kitchen wasn't appealing to me; it was looking very outdated, dirty and with not a lot of options.. We just skipped it. I'm sorry but this was a last time I ever visited in any Best western hotel.
"My FAVORITE Hotel in Brooklyn !!!!"
I had the BEST stay at this location. I really liked the front desk staff they were all very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal and the Hotel is really modern and updated and Clean .... so happy Sheepshead Bay finally has a nice place to stay !!! NOW I can actually stay in BROOKLYN when I visit NYC ;- ) I've had a REALLY BAD experience down the street in the OTHER Chain Hotel ........( It's initials start with C.I.... I went there BEFORE the Best Western Plus was even built - Yeeeeech - HUGE MISTAKE ) so I VOWED to ONLY stay in Manhattan when in NYC. I am SOOOO HAPPY I found a SAFE, CLEAN Hotel in Brooklyn !!!! Again, I tried staying right down the street at the ONLY other Hotel a few years back and had one of the WORST experiences in my adult life. SCARY !!! Anyhew.... I am SOOO HAPPY I can stay in Sheepshead Bay right down the road from the BEST SEAFOOD Restaurant in Brooklyn - Randazzo's ! I Travel ALOT, and I can honestly say ..... Give the Best Western Plus in Sheepshead Bay a shot - you will NOT be Sorry !
"A Good Choice in Brooklyn"
Gotta say, these folks went far out of their way to be accommodating to me and my wife. They made sure we got a parking space, which was important since we had driven from Georgia. The room was excellent and the hotel was very conveniently located across the street from the bay and just down the street from the Brighton Beach and Coney Island area we wanted to visit. We walked to a nearby restaurant for an excellent meal and took a little tour of the area. The staff there was willing to let me leave my car after checkout for a while until we got back. I much appreciated that. Everyone was so friendly, and I appreciated that also, having heard all the stories about general unfriendliness in NYC. This southerner was well pleased.
"Best chain hotel in Coney Island"
I haven't stayed at a Best Western in over 6 years. I travel frequently for business and typically stay at Hilton brands. For this trip, the Best Western was closest and I decided to stay here rather than risk a long NY drive. I am so glad I did. The hotel was very clean and in a nice area for walking during the evening. The staff were wonderful, very friendly! My room was clean and each day, nothing was missed. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if in the area.

"Run don't walk away from booking this hotel"
Horrible. Booked months in advance, but was given a basement room as it was "the only room left". Shabby, run down accommodations, old chipped tub, dirty looking hallways. Although bedding looked clean and properly made up, was so disturbed by the room vibe, checked out 10 minutes later from a lobby decorated for Halloween with spiders crawling up the walls. Did a bed bug check online because I was afraid to sit down and it warned to check carefully before deciding to stay. I did not find any visible signs of infestation but was creeped out. I arrived at 12 AM to find their parking lot with a chain draped across. I called the hotel and after speaking to their operator who didn't seem to understand what I was saying, they sent an employee out to undo the barricade to let me park. I left shortly thereafter though it meant I had to drive home for hours in the rain, rather than stay here. Worst hotel experience ever.

"Oasis on the Bay"
We had an absolutely delightful stay. The room was immaculate,modern,well equipped and comfortable. There is on site parking on a first come availability. The staff was accommodating friendly and efficient. It is conveniently located with access to public transportation as you,literally,step outside. There is a staffer at the front desk 24/7. A small gym and breakfast room are available on the lower level. We were most pleasantly surprised to find such wonderful accommodations at this location which is also minutes from a major highway.
"Top 3 worst hotel stays of all time"
I think the title says it all. RUN, DON'T WALK, away from this hotel. I also want to preface that this hotel was 18,000 points for one night, not a super cheap rate associated with a more expected low-star experience. First I was put in a basement room with the laundry and housekeeping staff, with the only window being right next to a public bus stop on street level. Could not get moved. The room was more like a dirty motel than what I've come to expect from a standard Best Western. The next morning, housekeeping came in 3 different times by 11:15 am, even with a do not disturb sign on. The front desk called 5 times starting at 9 am, who told me upon check out she was "calling to see if I was going to request a late checkout". All of that would have been understandable at 12 pm after failing to check out on time. I have never had hotel staff bothering me so much unprompted (and on a Sunday no less, not a heavy check-in day!) The whole morning I felt essentially harassed to leave, hours before checkout. But don't worry, I did leave and will NEVER come back!!

Upon checking the details of your reservation, we see that you made a reservation through Expedia, for a room in the basement floor for its cheaper rate. We do often upgrade our guests on complimentary basis, but due to a very busy weekend, and the folks who paid premium rates to be on a higher floor, we couldn't upgrade you. Also, based on our investigation and the call logs, we were able to see that the calls were made starting 11AM. The checkout time for our guests is 11AM and the check in time is 2PM. We gladly offer a late checkout to all our guests, regardless of how busy or restricted the situation may be. According to the Front Desk, your response was not received through the phone, during and after the checkout time, and as part of our Guest Safety concern, we sent in the housekeepers to make sure you are safe and sound. This was done out of concern and I'm sorry you think you were harassed.
"Clean and comfortable"
We stayed overnight while visiting Brooklyn for the Aquarium, Coney Island, and a very nice waterfront Italian restaurant. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The location was convenient and we were able to park at no extra cost. The staff, especially in the Breakfast room, were very accommodating. The only drawback was because of the location on the corner of Emmons and Nostrand it was a bit noisy at night.
"Clean Rooms, Close to Waterfront & Restaurants!"
The Best Western Plus Brooklyn Bay Hotel is a good choice if you want to be near the airport but also close to Coney Island. I would stay there again. The rooms are clean, there is a 24 hour staff, the parking is free, the wi-fi works and there is a free "breakfast". The location is across the street from, what turned out to be, a wonderful, if not a little interesting stroll, along the waterfront. Across the street from this stroll are many restaurants, some of which are very good. The airport is 15 minutes away with good traffic. That said, the staff is friendly and helpful enough but did not seem too interested in going the extra mile to make us happy. We asked for a room away from the ground level and the reply was "we gave you a room already" ...said in a nice way but also with an attitude of indifference. Maybe it was the "culture" difference but regardless, I am mentioning it as a negative and so it is a negative for this hotel. All in all, the stay was fine and I would stay there again.
"RACIAL DISCRIMINATION REEMA R."
On July 20th at 2:02 PM, I (female) contacted the Best Western in Sheepshead Bay requesting room availability. I spoke with Reema R the manager on duty at the time. She stated there was availability, therefore I proceeded to the route and arrived at the location at 2:17 PM. Upon arrival while gathering my belongings to enter the hotel my friend (a black male) went in before me to begin the check in process. Reema R. saw my and immediately began to state there were no more rooms available. Stunned, he left the building and advised to me Reema stated there were no more rooms available. This is absolute blasphemy, as we literally just called. However, having knowledge within the hotel industry we were fully aware rooms can in fact go pretty fast, however we were very skeptical. Once in the car we called back the number and requested room availability and rates, Reema R then stated the rates and said yes we have rooms. Reema R, is the same person that stated in person (face to face) the rooms were fully committed. My friend then walked back into the establishment and confronted Reema, asking her why would she say there were no rooms prior and now I called using my voice and mysteriously there are rooms. Reema then began to tell the security to have him removed from the premises and refused to give her name and even took off her name badge. In 2018 this is completely absurd and heartbreaking to know we're still experiencing racism!! This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and was unwarranted. If Reema R is the representation of the Best Western Family I will never support this establishment again.

In this instance, a guest was threatening towards staff to the point where NYPD was called. NYPD came and determined that the hotel acted in a correct manner. The Best Western Plus Brooklyn Bay Hotel follows all rules, regulations and laws. We have been an outstanding member of our community for the last 12 years. We, in no way shape or form, discriminate towards anyone.
"50th High School Reunion Visit"
While looking for lodging as we were coming into town June 21, 2018 mainly for a 50th high school reunion we came upon the Best Western in Sheepshead Bay. The hotel was directly across the street from the IlFornetto Restaurant the reunion venue. Best Western was in the heart of a great location in Sheepshead Bay. While the hotel met our expectations by far, it exceeded in quality, friendly personnel. The daily breakfast and free parking is a Plus. It is close to JFK Airport and the area has many restaurants and fishing boats.
"Good Hotel if You Get the Early Bird Rate But Won't Stay Again"
This is an older but clean hotel in a noisy, industrial part of Brooklyn. Likes: Good price if you get early bird Clean Breakfast Responsive staff Comfortable mattress that felt new (at least the one I had) Dislikes: - Take photocopies of your driver license and credit card front and back with no guarantee it will be destroyed or kept in a safe place. (After years of staying in NY, this is the first time I got this demand from a hotel.) - Thin walls and across from subway line/construction sites - Don't automatically email invoice at the end of the stay My top pet peeves were the photocopying of your credit card/driver's license with no safe storage guarantee by a random clerk. This really opens you up to credit card fraud that could very easily happen three months later, making it hard to connect it back to the hotel. This the #1 reason I will not stay here again. I had a lot of trouble sleeping because the walls are so thin, meaning you can hear other guests above you and on the same floor and because I was put in a room across from a subway line that was under construction! Not even by ear plugs drowned it out. I was given a discount after I complained but I lost a night of sleep that I really needed. Not sure what sound level is like from the other side of the hotel. Otherwise, this is an old and clean hotel with drab interior and exterior. At $130 a night with breakfast in the summer at the early bird rate it's worth it if you're willing to sacrifice sleep and personal security of your credit card!
"Quick stay, good service, good breakfast, walking distance to many amenities"
We just made a quick stop - arriving at 10pm and leaving the next day by noon. Staff were friendly, helped us to order delivery after we arrived (we were starving!) and answered lots of questions about transportation, etc. Hotel isn't fancy but it is clean, has been updated and offers breakfast. Breakfast is basic but again, we were just making a quick stop. Cereal, toast, bagels, yogurt, juices and coffee. Quite happy with our stay!

"Brooklyn's Best Hotel walking distant to great restaurants in Sheepshead Bay"
This was our first stay and we were impressed by the front desk employees who were professional and courteous. Our rooms were clean and roomy. Everything was available i.e. small fridge, WiFi, and continental breakfast.. The breakfast employee catered to everyone,s needs. My husband and I were happy to be able to walk to excellent restaurants like Il Fornetto. The scenery is beautiful whether you are there in the morning or evening. We look forward to returning there since my family lives in Brooklyn in their small houses.

My check in was speeding and quiet. I had a basement room, and to my surprise was just as beautiful as the rest. The room was very spacious, warm and the bed was oh so comfy. I wish I could have stayed longer. I had a wonderful quiet night.

"Pretty good hotel, bad housekeeping"
Relatively nice hotel, especially for that areas of Brooklyn. Everything is relatively new, seems to have enough parking spaces, even though I stayed there during the downtime (middle of January). Housekeeping service is horrible. We ordered it once on the second night of the three night's stay and it seems that the housekeeper did not even enter the bathroom: the empty shampoo container and hair remained in the shower, a dirty towel was left behind the door, and the coffee maker tray that I left for them to wash near the sink was just set aside (not even put back into the machine) unwashed. In general, would recommend staying there, just be prepared to tell the front desk to clean your room again

"Decent hotel - convenient location"
There are very few places to stay in the Brighton Beach area of Brooklyn. This hotel is quite good. Breakfast and Parking is included. It's just a 5 minute drive to the Brighton Beach area. I had family visiting and they were all happy with their stay.
"Splendid Hotel!"
I stayed at this hotel for a few nights at the beginning of December. Reema was particularly helpful during my stay along with Pablo who helped me with my luggage. My room was lovely! Truly the photos on here do not do the rooms justice! The accommodation has been practically and very tastefully. I was very content and even extended my stay by another day! I would definitely return to this hotel!

We stayed for nine days over Christmas and from the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Our room was newly decorated with every modern convenience,spotless ,and with the most comfortable bed ever. Housekeeping staff could not do enough. Breakfast catered for every taste. "Christmas Day and Eve"

"Great location near Sheepshead Bay but upper-level parking is tight and weird"
The location was wonderful, near Sheepshead Bay and some good seafood restaurants. The rooms were neat and clean; the breakfast buffet was nice. However, we had selected that particular hotel for the free on-site parking, yet it ended up costing us $450 because our rental SUV got dinged by somebody in the teardrop-shaped parking lot, which is difficult to get out of (you need to do something like an eight-point turn) once it gets near full (after sundown every day). Some nights there wasn't any room left after we came back from dinner and we had to look for parking spots on the local streets, which isn't ever easy in Brooklyn, due to all the various regulations and hours for different days.
"Nice Hotel in Brooklyn"
The front desk staff was really nice! They were able to check us in early which was great since we wanted to get into NYC quickly. The rooms were very clean and fairly good sized. Good location near the shoreline of Sheepshead Bay.
"Stay Away: Noisy and Parking is not "Guaranteed" -"
Arrived at 10 pm after a long day only to be told that the free parking was not 'guaranteed' and we would have to find street parking in a timed area. Drove around for 30 minutes before finding something about 4 blocks away - had to lug our luggage into the hotel. We were placed in a basement room which was 2 doors away from the breakfast area, where there was a HUGE party going on until 2 in the morning. People were going in and out of the door to the garage which SLAMMED every time it opened. I tried calling the front desk to complain and they said they would "see" what time the party was scheduled to go until, and I never heard back. Tried complaining upon check out but the front desk attendant said she could not help and would let her manager know. I've now called 3 times to speak to a manager but have yet to reach one! Room and breakfast were fine - nothing special but comfortable enough. We would never return though.

I have stayed in probably 35 – 40 Best Western hotels, for hundreds and hundreds of nights, across the United States; as well as other hotels especially during my work career. I mention this only to show that I have a certain amount of experience. I love getting good reviews and I hate giving bad reviews. This is a good review: This was my second stay at this hotel and it is becoming a favorite especially because of the staff, location, and quality offered. It is located in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn which is filled with many different restaurants and has become a rather trendy area. It is only a few minutes to either the Belt Parkway, if you are driving, as well as public transportation. It is perhaps 20 - 30 minutes from JFK airport. The rooms are large, clean, and very nicely decorated. I did not have the breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The one drawback about this hotel is the parking. Parking is free but limited and because it is in a high use area, street parking is also difficult. However, I fully recommend this hotel both for couples, family, friends, and for those who are traveling solo.

Best Western in Brooklyn was a very nice hotel.Very Clean and rooms have a modern decor.Staff was very helpfull. Breakfast was very good .Had a variety .Has a parking garage ,but i found it a little tight to park.Other than that it was a very nice experience..Recommend if you are staying in brooklyn
"Not Bad!"
In comparence with Europe its rather expensive. But for States its Ok. The Breakfast was good enough and rooms are clean. But because of the location in rooms are very nosy. The road behind my window was busy and the windows are too weak to pretend this noice... so I was hard to sleep. And its a litle bit far from metro. ( 15 minutes by walk) Anyway, for the business trip its ok for 3-5 days to stay.
"Good Night"
Very good location for inner city travelers that do not want to go to Manhattan to stay for a couple of evenings. Not far from Kennedy airport and Coney Island. Buses and a Subway nearby. Close to many restaurants .
"Great place to stay"
This hotel was great value for the cost paid. The hotel was located a short walk (15 min) walk to a subway station. It looked great from the outside and our room was very comfortable and roomy. They also had a very nice breakfast with hot items as well as the usual cereal and toast options. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Average Place"
Came in recently for a trip. The room was decent (luckily I didn't get a basement room), there were some upgrades that were done, but you can tell they still need some work. In my case, the bathroom needs a new paint job, the door and wall paint is peeling and chipped. Shower water pressure is fairly weak and water isn't hot enough. If you are visiting during cooler seasons, the hotel is pretty cold in the common areas including the lobby. Be aware, there is a lot of road nice that you hear. Breakfast is also included which is nice, but nothing special - your typical free breakfast staple items.

Thank you for the review. We do keep our rooms nice and clean, so you can enjoy your stay. We do keep rooms in 100% working condition and as such, regular maintenance is required to keep up with the wear and tear. I apologize to you for the inconvenience. During very cold weather, the water takes time to reach the taps and even having the most powerful water pumps, this does become a little inconvenient for our guest to which we are working to fix. "Good for an overnight stay"
Rooms are small but decor is very nice, walk in shower also. Breakfast food, eggs, bacon, sausage, a no for me. Eggs cold bacon and sausage tasteless. Dining area nice with a booth. Front desk was a little slow with checkout and there was only one couple in front of us. Pleasant though. My biggest complaint security for that back exit door especially when people are sleeping right in front of it. Also door leading to parking lot was cracked and taped up. Until these security issues are addressed, I would not go back or recommend the hotel to anyone.
"Being afraid at the Best western on Emmons st. Bklyn N.Y"
Hotel was clean, Breakfast was better then most. The noice level from street traffic really bad. Need double paned windows. Also on the 4th of November at 2or3am 3 or 4 young men were on the corner , yelling at cars, kicking bus sign , climbing the bus sign . I was very afraid . They could have come into hotel lobby at any time. Hotel has no security. Nor did hotel staff call police . Also glass door to parking lot cracked and just taped together. Why not repaired,
"BEST WESTERN BROOKLYN"
This hotel was very cozy and all the amenities were good. Good value for your money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the New York area and seeking somewhere central to stay. Staff were great and the rooms were quite comfortable.
"Great Location, Average Hotel"
This Hotel could use some updating. Room and bathroom size were ok. Chair was missing from the room, never replaced even when commented to front desk. No place to sit but on the bed. Parking is definitely at your own risk! Two extremely small lots. One with worn plywood over a huge drop off, the only way in or out of the upper lot. The lower lot was almost impossible to get out of because it is so small. The breakfast was always late in setting up, no variety, everything is microwaved while you wait to eat. The staff at breakfast was nice and tried to be helpful. Front desk staff seems unknowledgeable, not very helpful. The location is good for restaurants, public transportation and Coney Island. Don't think we would return to this Hotel.

And we are the only hotel in the area where we have a generous breakfast times and have a great lineup of food variety to meet every guests needs. Everything was great. Location was great for a walk and to restaurants. Near bus stop to take to train. Its located near the bay allowing for a good night stroll. Everyone was so professional and respectful.

"Comfortable and Convenient"
This was our second stay at this hotel. We have been impressed during both visits by the cleanliness of the premises.It seems there are people cleaning 24/7! I passed the breakfast room on my way to the ice machine at 4:30 PM and saw a young woman washing the WALLS! There was a parking glitch the afternoon we arrived due to repairs on the upper level parking ramp, but staff was very kind to accommodate us in the VERY LIMITED basement level parking area. A very safe place to stay. Plenty of convenient dining options within walking distance. We will return whenever we visit family members in Brooklyn.

"HUNG UP OM"
as you can see by my reviews below, I LOVED THIS HOTEL. Tried to call hotel to make a reservation for several members of my family for a Brooklyn family reunion. MANAGEMENT: I called at 8:53 tonite, 9/27 to try and make a reservation for several rooms and whoever answered phone hung up on me, your biggest fan! i called several times immediately after and no answer. then i tried again and asked him what his problem was. He YELLED at me and hung up on me again. I guess me and my family will find another hotel in Brooklyn to gather....like that will be a problem. what a jerk. what happened to the wonderful people at the front desk who used to answer my calls and book at room at was once a wonderful place to stay in Brooklyn. Will never all again. will never go to this hotel again. Bully's answering the phone is a real bad idea.
"Great choice."
Accomodations were very good. Sleeping was extremely comfortable. When we first stopped by to make a late reservation just 5 days prior, we were offered some great discounts we were not expecting. If we needed directions in finding a particular store, the staff was very knowledgeable.

Nice, very clean hotel with very helpful and nice staff ! Good continental breakfast. Nice contemporary design,especially did like the shower cabin ! Cleanness is a #1 priority for me and it was spotless. Staff at reception area were very nice and extremely helpful when we got a problem with directions around NYC.

Good hotel-parking is terrible. Had to street park-on a Saturday night-in Brooklyn. I was told the parking would be available and when I arrived it was not. the hotel was great besides that. Close to many restaurants and the breakfast was really good.
"Reasonably Good Experience at Brooklyn BW"
Stayed at Brooklyn BW due to business since it was near a customer. Now that this property has been updated to a BW Plus, it's much better than before and the modern rooms offer all you need for a short stay. Bathroom is modern and efficient, high-speed internet and cable television work well and there are various dining options within walking distance.
"Really understands the needs of the customer"
It amazes me that expensive hotel chains STILL do not pay attention to what the customer, esp a business traveler, needs. THIS hotel does = 1 - enough plugs/connections for phones and laptop 2 - shower, not a tub (who takes a bath in a hotel? Ick) 3 - toilet that was high enough to be comfortable 4 - TV ON WALL!!! This is my benchmark - why don't ALL hotels do this!?? 5 - AC was easy to regulate and not loud 6 - breakfast sausage patties were delicious (not a big deal, but still nice!) And the desk personnel were very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely return.

"very good Hotel"
We stayed for 2 nights and were very satisfied. The employees are very friendly, knowledgeable, professional. The only problem is parking. After fixing it (they are working on that now) it will become an excellent Hotel.

Stayed there 10 years ago, returned last week. The hotel is completely redone. Rooms are decorated nicely and room was always cleaned to perfection each day. The staff could not have been nicer. Great location right in the heart of Sheepshead Bay. Will definitely stay there again on my next visit.

My stay at the South Brooklyn, Best Western Plus Brooklyn Bay hotel was very good. The room and bathroom were up to expectations. the staff were all helpful and welcoming. "Clean and Comfortable "
For the location and the price, I think this was a clean, comfortable hotel. We were visiting Coney Island for a concert and the amusement park and one has to take an Uber or taxi to get to Coney Island but it is close. It looks like the hotel was renovated recently and the staff was helpful and the breakfast wasn't bad considering it came along with the room. It was nice that it had free parking though the parking lot is somewhat awkward. I would generally recommend this hotel.
"Beach Vacation in Brooklyn"
This is our 3rd stay at the Best Western Sheepshead Bay. It is a great location, close to many beautiful beaches and great restaurants. The area is very easy to get around cabs, subway and UBER are very easily accessed. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, easy to get in and out of, traffic wise. Looking forward already to our beach trip next summer.
"Horible hotel with rooms in the basement!"
I booked a room cost $175 plus tax with city view. When we arrived to the hotel we got the room in the basement close to huge laundry room. The 'city view' was half under the ground and half at boots of people walking on the street. When I asked to change the room I was told this is the only available room, it was midweek and empty parking. Hotel located at the corner and bus stop 20 feet from hotel windows. I will NEVER be back to this hotel!!! Shame they call themselves Best Western name!

I truly feel your frustration and yes, its unacceptable to be told one thing and getting something different from what you have booked. Upon reviewing your reservation details, you booked the reservation through a 3rd party agent who have misled you about our property and have little to no knowledge to what our property has to offer. This is the reason we encourage our guests to book directly through us to get the most accurate information about the hotel and its room locations. Our property has newly updated rooms that complement the most luxurious European hotels and we are definitely above in the completion of the other hotels within our area. This is the reason we are always sold out. Although, your reservation was for a downstairs room, our staff loves to upgrade our guests anytime there is a room available. Unfortunately, due to many groups, corporate and leisure guests, sometimes it becomes a challenge to upgrade. "Across the street from Brooklyn Bay - Nice !"
This south Brooklyn hotel is reasonably-priced & easy to get to - even if you are driving. Nice, pleasant location with restaurants close by. About 20 min to walk to the train that goes direct into Manhattan. Parking is free, but cramped. The room was small, but very nice, appearing to be newly decorated & tiled. They also have one of the nicest breakfast rooms I have seen, as well as decent breakfast food.

"Great room as usual"
Love it here been there many times with husband. Rooms very clean and love the new decor. Lobby fun to sit and watch guests in and out. Breakfast is fine and plenty of seating. Great place to stay in the Sheepshead bay area and near Rollin Roaster. Front desk workers always there and been there for a long time and love to chat with guests about what did they did or help with what to do.

"Best option around; don't count on parking"
We visit family in Breezy point down by the beach a couple times a year and this is the best option in the area. (Don't stay at the Comfort Inn a few blocks away, by the way). The rooms are nice and clean with spacious walk-in showers. The staff seemed mostly pleasant, and they have your standard hotel continental breakfast. A few things in the hallway looked like they were in need of repair--there was a taped-up broken glass door, for example. The real kicker is that parking is not guaranteed, which is a problem if you are trying to street park on a Saturday night. They have parking areas, one above ground and another under, but the spaces are VERY tight. Still, this hotel is the best place to stay in the area.
"Not the room I reserved"
During the check-in, employee at the front desk did not instruct me at all that the room that I have reserved (with one king bed) was not available and yet proceeded to check me into a two-queen bed guest room. When I have arrived to the room, my girlfriend and myself have contacted the front desk via room phone and asked why were we checked into a room that we did not ask for during online reservation, nor we were told about it during the actual check-in. The front desk employee has said that "well the room that you have reserved with one king bed is in the basement". The employee has added that it is an upgrade to what I have, but clearly it wasn't. I honestly didn't know what to say to that kind of response. There was no assistance or any further suggestions from the staff if I even want to move into the room that I have booked or appologies for the inconvenience. We have asked for 20% off for the stay and the employee has agreed to do so. I have yet to see that 20% to reflected on my bill... Not sure if I'll stay here at this location again.

Upon reviewing your reservation, you did book for a lower floor room which is cheaper due to its location, which is in the basement level. Our Front Desk clerk definitely gave you an upgrade on the second floor. Altough you did book a room with one bed, but room being in the basement, you were given a room with two Queenz size beds for the same price with no extra charge. We love to upgrade our guests when we have available rooms and this is one exmaple of our great Customer service we provide to all of our guests and I feel sad this didnt appeal to you. Nevertheless, we will work harder to provide amazing experience for our guests and we love to see you satisfied. Thank you!
"Glad we chose THIS hotel to stay at"
Coming back to Brooklyn for my 50 yr Lincoln HS reunion. The Best Western in Sheepshead Bay was a perfect location for my friends and I. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was healthy. The treadmill wasn't working ;-( ... So I got to walk by the bay. That was fun! I would stay there again!
"Pleasantly surprised"
We only stayed for 2 days and 1 night but the over all stay was comfortable quiet and clean. The only issue was the guest parking, we were able to park on arrival but when we stepped out for a few hrs there was no available parking in the parking lot when we returned .Otherwise we loved the hotel and the room and we plan on making this hotel our go to hotel.

"This place is terrible."
Normally, I use the Comfort Inn across the Street. This week decided to stay at Best Western. Worst decision I made this week. This place is terrible. The front desk guys are rude and clueless. Management is no existant. Avoid this place at all cost. So upset that they took my money. Did not even stay the full night. Parking is also non existant. There is only like 10 parking spaces for the entire building! Good luck finding parking. However, they do cord off additional spaces so no one can park. Not cool. there is no spaces on the street either. The restaurant patrons and neighborhood residents monopolize the spots. . Internet was nonfunctional and disasterous. Numerous restaurants in the area. Spend you money on a place that will respect you. We will never stay at this place again.

Dear 146annanj, I'm very sorry to hear that you had a very bad experience. I'm sure this was an isolated issue because we strive for excellent guest satisfaction. On the contrary, many guests prefer our hotel over the completion because of the great customer service our staff provides and to back up my statement, our trip advisor reviews tell it all. Parking is 100% free however we do let our guests know to arrive early in order to get a parking spot. This is to maintain a fair environment for all of our guests. And the additional spaces you speak of, is the no parking zone which is a fire lane, reserved for the emergency vehicles such as a fire truck, in case of fire. "Gem in Brooklyn"
Parking is horrible, but hotel room is well made, walls are not thin, you can really feel the privacy. The night staff was very good at handling situations. When you come to the hotel late on a Saturday and it's fully book, no parking, you'll know you get an irate customer. He handled it well for me as a customer not to lose my temper and later on offered assistance. Top rated service!

"Great stay"
The hotel was extremely clean! The bed was perfect (clean and comfortable). There was plenty of hot water for long showers. The breakfast had hot and cold foods. The eating area was maintained constantly. The food didn't run out and the entire room was kept very clean. The staff was great. All of them were very helpful and courteous. I would definitely stay again if I were ever planning to return to NY (I'm not!). The staff were truly the nicest people we met in NY!

"Great Stay, Friendly Helpful Staff"
Stayed here to go to a spring baseball game in Coney Island. The hotel inside and out is very clean. Location has bus stop right out front and subway several blocks over with ample places to eat in very close proximity. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Room was perfectly sized and very clean comfortable and new. Not very much street noise, outside of the group who were singing while walking by. Hallways were a bit chilly, but your not sleeping in the hall. Breakfast area was cute and was a step above continental breakfast which was nice. We are planning on coming to area again, and will definitely stay here.

Stayed here recently while visiting family. Clean, renovated rooms with free parking. Yes, free parking in New York! They offer a good complimentary continental breakfast, and an excellent Italian restaurant is across the street- Il Fornetto. "Forget about parking a car"
Although we made hotel reservation, we were unable to utilize the facilities as we were unable to find a parking space. We arrived at the hotel approx. 6:30 PM and were told that no parking was available and we should attempt to find it in the neighborhood on one of the side streets. After driving around for roughly half hour without success we asked the hotel clerk for a refund. Was told by the desk clerk that it was not possible as the hotel would have to provide same consideration to other guests in similar circumstances. At this same time there as another couple in the lobby that had been driving for an hour without finding a parking space. Hotel suggestion was to drive some more. Corporate office was not helpful in refunding our deposit.

It's very unfortunate that you didn't even check in at the hotel due to parking and wish we could have tried to serve you in a better way. Parking is a luxury that not many hotels in NYC have. Very few hotels have parking but come with a premium cost. However, at our hotel, parking is 100% free but is limited and to make it fair for all our guest's, we encourage them to arrive early as to get a parking spot. You will be surprised that we are the only hotel that offers free parking. This is because, we want our guests to have the most comfortable stay and enjoy being with us. But sometimes, due to busy weekends, our parking lot does fill faster and this is when the only parking is available on the streets. There is also a Municipal Parking lot just 10 minutes away from us, that you can park, if street parking isn't available. To make sure our customers get the correct and right information, we have our Best Western Website clearly mention that we have "Limited Parking and is based on First come First park basis", this is to make aware of our parking situation to our guests so that they are not caught off guard. If you had stayed at our hotel, you could have enjoyed the most comfortable stay that comes with premium amenities like, Deluxe Continental Breakfast, High Speed Wi-Fi, Premium TV Channels and may more. "Don't bring a car"
There are 30+ rooms and maybe 20 spaces. If however, you want to catch a bus - don't worry there will be one outside your window every 15 minutes. The hotel also has not upgraded to chip card and will swipe your card and then take a copy of your ID - definite ID theft potential.

However, our hotel charges "0" dollars for this premium facility. The reason we provide free parking to our guests, so they can enjoy their comfortable stay and not having to worry about finding a parking. Although spaces are limits, we always encourage our guests to come early to find a parking spot. And for your credit card concern, we handle guest privacy and security with extreme care. And almost every hotel requires a guest to provide an ID at check in. This is to make sure we charge the appropriate guest with their matching credit cards. With high fraudulent credit card fraud outside, we take strict measures to make sure our guests have a stress-free stay. This place is the best, price is reasonable. Rooms are brand new. Staffs went beyond their way in helping me out with directions. Excellent internet connection. If you want to stay in a good clean hotel . This is the place to be.

"Good night's rest"
Came in for a family event. Walking distance to subway station. Felt hotel was over priced. Rooms were good, beds very comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. No staff at check in desk upon arrival. Would return to this hotel if rates were lower.
"Very good experience"
This is the second time that we stayed at this hotel. We had a good experience each time. It's been updated since our first stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. They welcomed us back. It had been at least 4 years since we had been there and we were still in there system. They had a great breakfast. They call it a continental breakfast but it's beyond that. There's scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, great coffee and even honey for your tea. The room was large by New York standards and very nice.

Close to Coney Island park. I came here for an interview. Easy access, friendly staff. Quick simple check-in. Elevators available and tea/coffee in lobby. Room was clean, spacious, and quiet. Coffee/tea available in room. Nice layout / setup. Standup shower (no tub, at least not in my room). Pretty good breakfast (hot and cold): eggs, sausages, waffles, breads, pastries, muffins, fruit, cereal, yoghurts, beverages, lots of spreads too (nutella!). Breakfast area kept clean and constantly maintained during breakfast time. Not entirely decided whether the room is worth the price, could be a little better priced (especially since it is pretty much all the way south Brooklyn away from downtown Brooklyn, let alone Manhattan), but not a deal-breaker.

Me and my fiancé checked in they were soo nice at the front desk and one guy even joked that my fiancé looks like football player Marshawn BeastMode Lynch lol! They were very helpful there's limited parking but they made sure we had a park and made someone move for us someone was parked in handicapped park without a sticker and because of my fiancé disability asked them to move which was very sweet of them. I will stay here again

"Great accomodations"
This hotel was spotless, the staff was helpful and courteous. We felt secure in the surroundings. This particular hotel was perfect in convenience for our trip venue. We had read that there wasn't good enough parking. although the 2 lots were small we were always able to get a spot either there or right on road next to Hotel. This made our stay more pleasurable

"Great stay at Brooklyn Bay"
Stayed here for a weekend with two small kids. Good location, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection at breakfast (although better on the first morning). Parking is limited but I didn't have a problem finding a spot either day. Our room was located on the main floor which i was concerned about since my kids are sensitive to noise but it was really quiet and we all slept well. Walked around the neighborhood a little and felt very safe. i would recommend this hotel to others.

booked 2 rooms both were on the 2nd floor, rooms are clean and comfortable with a mini fridge and plenty of storage. At times it can be a little noisy from outside traffic and or other rooms. There is a complimentary expanded continental breakfast, with both hot and cold items on the basement level. There is a musty smell at times in the basement so request a room on an upper floor. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is very limited and tight with restaurants in walking distance

"Clean, friendly, convenient hotel"
We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. It was newly renovated, clean, and in a good location. We were going to a concert at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island. All the staff were friendly, the breakfast room has a lots of room and the food choices were fine. The only issue is that their parking lot is small, spaces are very small, and hard to get in and out. There is street parking, but it was hard to find a space. This was a very nice hotel to stay out. The room was very comfortable and modern.

Paying this amount per night and no parking. The food (breakfast) was cold or warm. The room was nice and clean, . beds to lumpy, the shower had very low water pressure. The hall ways were way to hot.

But would like to Thank You for your compliment over our famous Deluxe Continental Breakfast and our new European style rooms. I'm sorry you believe you paid a lot for a night that had no parking. Actually, we are one of the fewest properties that offer Free Parking to our guests, and recommend to arrive early to find a spot. Most of the other hotels either charge for parking in excess of $40/night or charge for valet parking, where as we have for free. I'm sorry you experienced low water pressure, but did you try turning the knob all the way to high? This is a common mistake that most guest don't get at first, and is very easy to be missed. We have also upgraded our hallways and rooms as well and in New York, especially near Bay, the temperatures definitely exceed higher. And this is why we have windows in our hallways that open for the fresh breeze to flow in. "Perfect for Smoking!"
Only hotel we can smoke. This hotel is nothing special. What attracted us, is we can smoke here, and we smokers. Room was a little durty. Other tenant forgot his cigs in the bathroom, and they forgot to clean. Too, toilet was not cleaned. This room was ok, but old furniture and advertised renovated. Very humid too. Breakfast ok. Perfect for us, because we smoke.

Our property does not have Smoking rooms and as a matter of fact, we implement heavy fines for guests who smoke in our rooms. "Convenient hotel in Brooklyn Bay"
Stayed here one night for a business trip. The room was renovated and clean. It's within a few minutes walk from many restaurant choices on Emmons Street. There is parking in the back and free breakfast on the morning. Coney Island is a 10-15 minute drive away

"Reasonable priced, updated, clean, good location"
Was going to Coney Island for a concert at the new Ford Amphitheatre and needed a hotel for one night. Selected this property for price/location. Was happy with the cleanliness of the property and the pleasant staff. Bathroom was updated with walk in shower and was very clean. Room was clean. Beds were not the most comfortable but were fine. Parking spots are VERY limited at this property so if you have a car, better to leave it there and walk or taxi around. Overall good experience and would choose this property again.

"Comfort stay in water front neighborhood"
Im very impress with the new look on and within Best Western. For I'm not a big fan of this brand it is an eye opener stay. Under new management and renovations, made the stay comfortable for my kids and wife. Warm breakfast clean room and staff, there was much little fault we could find. Great neighborhood with middle eastern restaurants, 1 franchise bar n grill and a hip strip on the waterbfront. You'll also enjoyed a 45 year old fast food restaurant (Roll & Roaster). With a few more house keeping personals and a little more variety in the daily breakfast. It could be a summer stop for driving or fishing travelers. Enjoy

"Worst hotel! Stay elsewhere!"
Terrible place! Staff unfriendly. Booked a non-smoking loft room, as advertised and was given a basement smoking room with a porthole window that was opening onto the street at street level and with a smoking sewer just outside. Smelly, humid and simply dirty. Not the loft suite that was advertised online. There was no vacancy, so no other room was available. However, we did not see any other guests during the day or at breakfast, which was really gross. Next time in Brooklyn, I'll be staying somewhere else. This rat hole does not even deserve one star. And it cost almost $300 for one night.

"Clean and Quiet"
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I usually expect best westerns to be a lower end hotel. The rooms here were just upgraded according to the manager. Very modern and exceptionally clean. The beds are extremely firm so do not expect pillow top mattresses here. Nice staff and decent breakfast. The parking is free but there are way less spots than there are rooms (but this is NY so that is the norm). We counted 14 parking spaces for the whole hotel. There is free on-street parking available. Overall, very good experience. Its close to numerous restaurants and attraction and very reasonably priced. The shower door is just a half clear glass. Very unique. On the whole, I would recommend this hotel. Comfortable and clean.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was very nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were in town for a concert at Coney Island. It was a 10 min cab ride away from our destination. Breakfast was good.

"Room location an issue"
A number of rooms in the basement; faint odor in room; shower had very low water pressure; bathroom door stuck--alot! We selected hotel based on location for a party we were attending. There were no other hotels in the area. It worked well for location, as we could walk to our destination.

Don't stay by the door. it smells like smoek there . if you likek so smoke it's fine otherwise don't do it. unless your on the higher floor then it's ok. but that's the only way. they have wifi to pokemon on hahaha. pokemon that's funny
"Unclean"
I was very disappointed with the room. I had a late check in and after driving all day just wanted to lay down in a nice clean bed. When I turned on the lights, there was a spider web from the ceiling to the light and the spider was sitting there. I killed the spider and thought ew. Then I went to the bathroom and found one in the shower near the drain. At this point I felt like I couldn't even get under the covers in the room. There was no internet and I felt ripped off. For $200 I should have been able to have a clean room without spiders and some internet.
"Bait and Switch! Would give 0 if I could."
They advertise "well appointed loft guest rooms" I booked a non-smoking double room to attend a wedding in the area. When arrived, the room was smoking and in the basement. The management needs tips in hospitality. Did not have another room, so it was take-it-or-leave-it! After discussing the issues with the Best Western 1-800 number rep, I was offered to leave without penalty... really? They could not find another Best Western in the area, so the manager called the car service for me. At that point I left and they charged me the full price of the room - almost US $300. NEVER AGAIN! I am disputing the charges, but the hotel insists that I requested a smoking basement (dirty, smoky, dingy, humid, damp smelly carpets!) - even with Asthma. I sent a complaint letter to the president of the Best Western International, and the reply was "we are sorry we cannot resolve the issue to your satisfaction and won't refund you". Best Western International, Mr. Kong, President and CEO! Horrible hotel, horrible service, horrible rooms, horrible administration.
"Nice hotel"
We stayed here for 5 nights. Rooms were clean and modern. Grounds were clean as well. Nice area lots of restaurants. A good walk to the train but doable. About an 40-50 min ride to Manhattan. Breakfast was good everyday. Eggs, sausage, bagels, muffins, cereal,yogurt. The Parking lot isn't huge but we always found parking no problem and the hotel was booked completely. I would definitely stay again. Staff was great!!
"Brooklyn Bay: Home of the Second Best Best Western I've Ever Stayed"
The Best Western Plus in Brooklyn Bay is an excellent place to stay while you're in Brooklyn, especially when you consider its amenities, its location, and it's cost. I've stayed there every year since 2013, and each year the Brooklyn Bay Best Western has taken strides to make their hotel better. This past year, it would appear they've upgraded the back splashes in the bathrooms, along with new hardwood floors, which give the rooms a very clean and warm aesthetic feel. Additionally, the front desk staff (I dealt wtih Kabir and Jacqueline) are most helpful, especially when it comes to finding places to eat in the area. Definitely recommended.
"Best Hotel Location in New York with a car"
Good for parking and only about 22minutes walk from Subway station and there can't be many Hotels in New York about which that is true. It's a small Hotel but probably all the better for that and still good choice of breakfast without needing to queue.

Very clean, nice location staff very friendly was in walking distance of different places right near the waterfront so if you want to do any water activities this is a great place to stay. Free breakfast served daily which was great nice way to save money when traveling with your family. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others.

Great location, near all the beaches, fishing and great restraunts . Has parking lot. Also only 30 min into New York city.the best room was very good. clean. At night you can go for walk along the bay, fishing boats, cruises and plenty of outdoor places to drink or eat.

Very nice hotel just stay on the first floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms below the first floor in the basement are smoking rooms. The smell comes up into the first floor rooms. There was a strong odor in the room including the smell of weed.

Not one problem with a group of 30 people (17 hockey players and their parents) staying at this hotel. Would recommend to anyone - anytime - any place. Everyone was so helpful and was the hotel was spotless. Everywhere you looked, someone was always cleaning. Made us feel very safe and comfortable.

"Nice clean for a good sleep"
This hotel was nice and clean. However, I had take a smoking room nothing else available at the last minute. I am not a smoker so it did reek of smoke. The air condition made loud noise all through the day and night even after maintenance man claimed he fixed it. Breakfast was a little more than continental with meat. Glad to see turkey bacon but it was not cooked. Price was high for a best western but i guess in nyc everything is expensive. The hotel does have parking that is a PLUS the camera's are right in the lobby at the front desk.

I was concerned about the quality of this hotel because the quality of Best Western hotels vary so greatly. This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The PLUS realistically represents the stepped up room with nice sheets, quality pillows, and decent furniture. You need a car to navigate the neighborhood and can park on site on an availability basis. The spaces are narrow and awkward in placement. But, have patience to park. It is better than finding parking on the street. Coney Island beach and amusement park are nearby. It was fun to visit.

Our room was on the first floor facing Emmons Avenue. It had two King Size Beds, a walk in handicap shower in a large size bath room. It is an immaculate motel, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, a good flat screen TV on the wall, ample closet and drawer space. Breakfast is served self service daily in the lower floor cafe. Coffee is available all day. Each floor is accessible by elevator. As you enter there is a lift that takes you to and from the lobby. AC and Heat is controlled by each room. Car Service would pick us up and drop us off in the parking area which was very accessible to our room. Several restaurants are within walking distance. I have difficulty walking and found this moyel to be perfect. The staff are warm,courteous, and helpful. This was a Home away from home

Great place to stay, conveniently located on the bay and many restaurants. Short walk to all trains if you want to go to Manhattan. Breakfast is included and offers a large variety for everyone's diet preference. Rooms are clean and modern, bedding is very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and friendly

When we are in Brooklyn we always stay at this Best Western. It's very clean , a super shower. Only set back is small parking lot. Over all this is a very nice hotel. Right near the water and plenty of restaurants in the area for breakfast if you prefer to have a big meal.

Stayed here for a week in March. Very nice front desk staff and very accommodating house keeping. The room was absolutely beautiful. Didn't like that we were per say 'underground' but the rooms were beautiful. The area is quiet so the room was quiet. The downfall was the parking lot is small and narrow. It was hard to maneuver out of it. But very thankful it offered parking as a lot of hotels do not in Brooklyn. Will definitely stay here again

I was at this hotel on October 2015 for 2 nights ,and on March they put us in a room 2015 for 1 night.. ( room# 311) My first 2 nights they put me that had no heat... when I told them about it.. their response was " there is nothing we can do about.. in march they put me in a room that had beautiful heat but the heating system made to much noise when it turned on making it diffcult to sleep..

I was beyond thrilled with the customer service of this hotel. During my stay, Kabir A. did all that he could to ensure that all of my needs were met and I was taken care of. He, along with his staff, went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service to me. I will recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

"Overall a nice place to stay"
Overall a nice hotel a clean well laid out room with new furnishings. The bed was comfortable. During my stay the hotel was being renovated so there was construction dust dirt and debris throughout the common areas of the hotel. However the rooms were clean and the breakfast was good.
"It was a nice stay!"
We were in town for a funeral and this Best Western was the closest to the funeral home. We were only there for the night but it was comfortable, newly renovated, and clean. The breakfast was adequate and had enough of a variety for all of us and nice hot coffee. Not sure in that location and that price what more you could want. All the employees were efficient and courteous. Only complaint was the heating unit was unusually loud but it did not interfere with our sleep...not really a problem and we didn't mention it to the employees so would not be fair to knock them or the hotel down for that. We would probably go again if we go back to the area.

Very, very high price ....on the 1st floor it stinks of cigarettes and more than more than a cigarette ...check out very early ....TV channels few and yet pay for a package of channels....breakfast is cheap ...nothing to choose...
"Great Stay, will come back"
I reside in Florida,and my mother in-law passed away and lived in Brooklyn N.Y. With my head in spins from the sad news, all I could think about now was where I and my family were going to stay in Brooklyn for the funeral. I called Best Western in Sheepshead Bay and explained my situation. Without hesitation, they booked me a double room. Once we arrived, the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The hotel and room was clean and comfortable, the service was great and the staff was very friendly. And to my surprise, they even offer a free breakfast buffet, eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, muffins, bagels, cereals and so much more to mention. Would I go back? Absolutely! I personally want to thank Best Western for making my grieving time comforting. Thank you.

I was extremely upset with this hotel. They advertised free parking, which I had checked when I booked the hotel. It was not until after I signed in that I was told that the parking was on a first come first served basis. There are only 15 spaces for 48 rooms!!! There was absolutely no place to park either in the lot or on the street. I ended up driving home 2 hours and never used the room. The hotel refused to issue a refund for my 2 unused rooms. I am extremely dissatisfied with the hotel and the website. This is false advertising and very misleading.

Excellent hotel and so conveniently located with exceptional and friendly staff. The rooms are great and all the extra's and help was available 24 hoursa day. In particular the night staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area
"Great staff, good service"
I was extremely lucky to meet with supervisor Kabir Amed, who was very helpful and professional. Everything we asked for was resolved. Definitely recommending to my friends. Area is full of nice restaurants and bars.
"Great Staff, great rooms, unlovely area"
It is the best place in the area and the staff are very professional and helpful. We were there for a sports meeting and it was the closest place. It is a quiet location one of the other hotels in area is next to a crazy nightclub. The staff did their very best to make sure we had a nice stay. There was always parking in their lot. The area is middle class-industrial and bayside. The hotel rooms are nicer than the common areas and lobby, which are utilitarian and not new.

We at Best Western Plus Brooklyn Bay hotel, commit to the most superior service and try hard to achieve every satisfaction from our guests. We have very enticing complementary amenities, which every guest loves and appreciates. We have complementary breakfast, high speed Wi-Fi, premium TV Channels, free parking, but limited. With such complementary and great customer services we provide, we maintain a very loyal customer relationship. Hence, our customer return to us. And anytime a customer is not happy, we take this very seriously. And to your parking concern, we do have limited parking spaces and its strictly based on "First come-First park" basis. The reason we have this policy is, just so we are fair with every guest that check into our hotel. If we try to give you a priority over someone else, it would be very unjust and goes against our principles of fair business. Our website is corporately operated and no corporation would every put anything deceiving, because it can hurt them in return. Our policies are very much straight forward is stated clearly. And I'm sorry you still find this very unclear. Also, even with the full parking, our Front Desk staff went beyond their limit to actually accommodate your vehicle at a high traffic parking spot, risking their own time and by also offering you valet, to which you declined. We understand our guests come from far and don't have time to find parking and this is why, we have clearly stated the policy and also have this information on my Confirmation receipts, website, phone inquiry, and signs in the parking lot for our customers to read. You have also signed the credit card receipt that clearly stated in the acknowledgement section before you sign about the "Limited Parking". And if you signed it, you have read and agreed. And again apologize you still didn't see it when you signed. And not only that, buy the front desk personal also verbally informed you and also said he would assist you, and you declined the help. Once again, I personally apologize that none of the information from the, website, phone, confirmation details, parking signs in the lot, credit card receipt or the front desk staff members verbal dialogue, was not helpful to you.
"Reminded Us of San Francisco!"
Trying to save some money, we decided to head outside of NYC and give Brooklyn a whirl. We were not disappointed with the hotel. In fact, being just across the street from the water, it reminded us a little bit of San Francisco. The staff was very friendly, the room was smaller but comfortable (and appeared to be recently remodeled) and there were tons of dining options near by. We hiked it to the subway station, where several people we talked to found it a bit strange that we were all the way out in Brooklyn, but everyone was helpful and we felt very safe. A great part of our trip was discovering how well Hollywood has captured the look of Brooklyn. When we got to the subway station, it looked just like something you'd see in the movies. The hotel is also very close to Coney Island, so we took an afternoon to eat Nathan's hot dogs, ride the giant wheel, and enjoy the aquarium and boardwalk. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we'd recommend it if you don't mind being away from NYC and doing a bit of walking.

Clean hotel, reasonable rates, pleasant staff, easily accessible. Will definitely not be my last visit to this hotel. Only part I don't enjoy is having to have a certain amount of characters to submit this review!!

Checked in on 12/15/15 @ 1:30am Checked out on 12/15/15 @ 11:00am Hotel is under contraction so fixtures are missing and there is a district smell of Spackle. Room was clean and breakfast was simple but adequate. At 8:55am the drilling and other construction related sounds could be heard which was very disturbing however I was already up.

good location, clean, quiet, great staff, interesting selection for breakfast. A good find I will absolutely stay here in the future. I had some dinner sent to my room from nearby Italian restaurant. Food was great just a good night overall.

"Nice rooms, lousy breakfast "
Rooms were quit nice and updated. Our room was clean. Beds were okay, and bathroom was pleasant. Only real complaint was breakfast. The packaged yogurts were the best part. We had no complaints about the staff. Location is decent for out of towners looking to go to the rockaways with easy access to the Belt Parkway. Their parking lot is very small, but it's New York, so...

"Terrible staff.......Decent Room "
I was really looking forward to staying here with my friend as its right near the bay. The hotel itself looks really run-down and is under construction. It also felt like we were the only ones there. We checked in on a Wednesday at around 2am as my flight was delayed and requested a late checkout for Thursday. Please note the hotel seemed empty. When we asked for a late check out on Thursday the rude front desk guy told us that if we were not out in 5-min (it was 12:20pm) he was going to charge us another day and we would still have to leave. I can understand if it were peak season or if the hotel was busy and bustling with people but it wasn't either of those. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and I truly hope Best Western Plus knows how to treat there customers better.

We have the most contemporary rooms, free-limited parking, high speed internet and the best Deluxe Continental breakfast that every guest loves. With such services, our property gets the highest mark and this is why we maintain a Plus distinction in the Best Western class. In addition to this, you are welcome to read our guest reviews on Trip Advisor, Best Western website and many more, who praise our front desk, housekeeping and maintenance staff members, for their great service and job well done. And to your second concern, the check out time is 11AM, and we only allow guests to stay until 12PM, as a courtesy. Keep in mind, the check in time is 2PM and so as to get the room clean and ready for the incoming guest, we have to allow the housekeeping staff enough time to disinfect and clean the room. And you stayed past 12 PM, and we didn't even charge you for staying later than 12PM. Thank You!
"Best Hotel to Stay in Brooklyn, NY"
Was in Sheepshead Bay, NY for a 6 night stay with Best Western on Emmons Ave, Brooklyn. The hotel staff, parking, breakfast, room, all around was a perfect stay for my trip. Will be staying there again next year when I return. I was so comfortable, safe, room was spic and span, and it felt like home away from home. Thank you all very much for such a pleasant stay. "Excellent Brooklyn Bay location"
We picked this hotel for its location near the water and the subway to NYC. We were happily surprised by the like-new condition of the hotel. It apparently had been completely remodeled recentlyu and everytrhing was clean and spotless. Helpful desk personnel and a good breakfast. Many good restaurants nearby. The only negative is some street noise at night, but hey- this is Brooklyn! We would stay there again.

Nice place to stay in Brooklyn. Good parking and nice full breakfast a good way to start the day. I thought it was a little pricey for the location. Not close to much, it is by Sheepshead bay a few places to eat near by . We stayed there as we were visiting family close by.This is not a place to stay if you want to go into the city.
"Great Hotel, But If I give high rates I may not get the room I want!"
Nevertheless, I really really like the Best Western on Emmons Avenue. The two managers are fabulous---always professional, firm in representing their hotel, friendly, understanding, competent. The housekeeping and maintenance staff is equally great! If something was not up to par I asked the manager on duty if it could be corrected and they took care of the problem immediately. They had great recommendations for car service and restaurants. When visiting my hometown of Sheepshead Bay I will always stay at the Best Western on Emmons and Nostrand Avenues.
"Nice hotel in a good area"
Nice hotel with great front desk staff. Friendly and very helpful. I was there for a week on business, and was on the 2nd floor on the Emmons street side. I am a light sleeper, and the first night was a little noisy. I asked to be switched to the opposite side, and this was no problem. Courteous front desk staff helped with dinner suggestions (Maria's a must if you like Italian). Rooms were clean and well maintained. The only issue would be if you need to check out earlier than the initial check out date. Was charged a full night. I can understand perhaps a half night, but a full night is a little too much. Other than that I had no issues. Parking can be tight if you have a larger car, and parking under the hotel is impossible unless you have a Smart car. Hotel is in good area with lots of food choices (Randazzo's Clam Bar, Roll & Roaster, Maria's, and a host of others). I would stay again if business takes me to the area.
"Nice efficiency hotel"
This is a very nice, clean efficiency hotel. If you need a comfortable room for a short stay, for example before taking a long flight, it is a clean, safe place. It is not a luxurious hotel for that long awaited vacation, but it is a good option and good value when you need a place to stay.
"Very nice hotel for business or vacation trip"
We chose this hotel to be near to Coney Island. Hotel has been newly renovated and is very attractive. Staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating from the front desk to the breakfast attendant.
