"Super helpful and accomodating staff"
We were in town for a family emergency and had to make a few changes to our reservations. The front desk staff were extremely thoughtful and diligent in making sure we were able to change our reservation dates and room setup, mid-stay. The rooms overall were perfectly comfortable, and the location was just a few blocks from multiple subway stations, 1-2 stops into Manhattan.
"Great deal for city visit"
This hotel may not be in Manhattan but it is so close and easy to get to everything. Great price and all you need to have fun all day in the city. Safe area. Pretty close to trains. Just a no frills hotel and a great price.
"MOLDED SHEETS"
If I could give this hotel a 0 star rating I would. Just look at the pictures… how is this hotel a 3 star hotel with 4 star rating. This hotel is beyond disgusting and needs a health inspection asap. I've stayed at countless 3 star hotels and this was is actually unlivable. First off the hallways smelled like cigarettes, second the bathroom shower floors were so gross that we wanted shower shoes. After discovering the molded sheets, we left. There is no way we are staying at a hotel where they have MOLDED SHEETS. Service was absolute sh*t too. Night auditor had no respect, did not want to help whatsoever. However, the security guard Sam was the one who came up to talk and help us, so shoutout to him we appreciate it! Anyways, do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel.

"The best price/quality combination we have found"
We stayed at cheap ones. We stayed at pricey ones. This was the best overall. The interior is a little bit old, but the cleaning made up for it. It felt very comfortable. Since it was older, the faucets and things were a little bit iffy, but that was very minor. We had a great view while lying in bed and felt comfy. No problems with the staff, they were great. It is an 8 minute subway ride to Times Square. The 4 block walk to subway felt very safe and the station was nice. Street parking is impossible to find. Expect $30 a night for parking anywhere in the area. We kept our car in the underground hotel parking. It was safe and secure. This is our place to stay when in NY.
"Definitely would stay again"
This hotel seemed completely safe and we had no noise issues when in the room. The neighborhood around it seems mostly residential and quiet. We walked several times to the metro station and even after dark we didn't feel uncomfortable. Check-in and check-out were easy although the front desk staff were not very friendly but maybe that is because they are New Yorkers. The hotel is surrounded by 2 or 3-story apartment buildings and there is a typical NY small grocery-deli in the same block as the hotel. It seems to carry everything a person could need and we got a few hot things from the deli which were pretty good. The hotel has a rooftop bar which was very loud and crowded on Saturday night. I reserved the Manhattan view room and it did not disappoint, great view of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings. Our room was on a high floor so we had no street noise but the neighborhood doesn't seem noisy anyway. If you're looking for a hotel surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants this is not it. We did walk down the street past the deli to a small local restaurant twice for breakfast. This is a great choice if you have business in Long Island City or are just planning to take the train into Manhattan every day.
"Unprofessional Service"
I booked my stay at the hotel only for 7hr. I was told by the phone that they have parking available. When I get to the hotel after 4 turns I call and the front desk advise that the only parking that they have is valet. I was surprised because that was not the case in my previous call. I advise “that I wish to cancel the reservation, I'm not from NY area and my stay was only for business. That I will look for a hotel near my business meeting.” Front desk hang the phone (in my mind I'm like maybe my phone service is bad). I call my credit card travel company and told them about my situation and that I will like to cancel my reservation and get another hotel. The credit card company call the hotel and told me that front desk where rude to her and the will not waive the cancellation fee (witch it was the full payment). I decided to call back andddddd no surprise for me front desk 1324pm unprofessional and super rude told me “that will be no waive, it's your fault that dint find parking and don't want to pay for valet and you are the one how decided not to stay at the hotel.” The only thing that she can do it's give me credit for a next stay. After that behavior who will like to stay in that hotel. Bad look for the hotel franchise will never recommended this hotel to colleagues or family members.

"disappointment"
I will not refer to benefits that about are advertised but about those that you should at least have had. A fridge with the basics should be there. Garbage bags in the baskets too. The ceiling of the room has many dangerous spots. The curtains have signs of stains. I went up to the roof to drink coffee and as the manager said, the machine was not working. They brought me coffee in a paper cup from the restaurant and charged me double the price of what was included in the breakfast. This seems like a scam to push the drinks. Last night while I was eating a burger, I noticed that at the next table, when the group got up to leave, the waitress just knocked it over and didn't clean it. Before the restaurant closed, the waitresses were eating at adjacent tables.

"DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL"
Waited 1 1/2 hours in the lobby to check in. (never have I ever had to do that before). finally got to room and the shower was black all over - I would never have stepped in there to shower. 2nd room-shower slightly better (but still black spots and gross). Cigarette Smoke smell near our room the entire stay - when I told front desk, there was then a air freshener smell in the air. I realized the smoke was coming from the Linen Closet! which means the employees smoked there. The blanket also had a funky smell. I kept wondering where the smell was coming from and finally figured it out on the last day. If we could have moved to another hotel upon seeing the rooms, we would have. Absolutely tried! the lighting in the room is awful. can barely see anything. Maybe that's the way they want it to be so you don't realize how gross it is. The area is just OK, I thought it would have been much nicer. I couldn't believe they consider this a "PREMIER COLLECTION" hotel. I've stayed at many BWs and this was the most disgusting. Would never stay here and would NOT recommend it.

"Great Hotel in a perfect location"
Manhattan in walk distance. The rooms with Manhattan view are breathtaking. So is the roof top restaurant. Dining with a brethtaking view and real good food... a little pricy but hey, it's New York. Next trip to New York: I'll stop here again!
"Unresponsive and not interested in keeping the customers happy"
We have booked 2 rooms for 2 nights in mid September to see a band at the concert. The band unexpectedly postponed the whole North American tour 2 and a half weeks from the concert date/hotel booking date. We tried on multiple occasions to call, wrote a couple of email to see if the hotel would be willing to give us a refund or at least let us move the stay to a future date with no response. After involving Expedia, the manager finally responded to the agent and refused to refund or work something out. I understand that it is somewhat of a short notice but I thought good customer service is important and that the manager would try to be understanding of the situation that is completely out of our hands, considering we would still use the 2 days later. We live 6+ hours away by car so it's not a quick trip for us to make for no reason. I guess they really do not care in making their customers happy. I hope the $800 is worth for them losing 4 customers and receiving bad reviews on multiple platforms.

"Nice hotel for the price"
We stayed at Vista LIC for two nights while attending the US Open and it worked for us. It was convenient to the subway (about a 10 minute walk), had larger rooms than you would find in Manhattan, and it had both a cafe and a rooftop restaurant with breathtaking views of the the NYC skyline. Really, a lovely hotel. The staff at the cafe and check in were nice and professional. At other times the front desk staff was very rude. The neighborhood felt a little sketchy at night, but there were some cute places around also. Overall, a good stay.
"Value and guest service"
Value… I didn't see a whole lot of value for the nightly rate I paid. I've worked in customer service my entire career. My first interaction, I haven't arrived at the hotel yet… Two phone calls to request early check-in… Response from guest service agent ““ well you have to pay for it “. I get that, it wasn't my question. Both phone calls, a little bit rude and short. Upon arrival I did have to wait, and I'm OK with that. I simply asked to use the exercise room while I waited. Front desk representative “well you have to have a key “… I'm a guest waiting for my room, out of courtesy I don't see an issue being allowed to use the exercise room.
"Run away!"
I almost tripped running to write this review. I literally pre-wrote it while still at the hotel to make sure I wrote this. I hated my stay so much I totally found my inner Karen, I didn't know I had, and made sure I put it on multiple platforms of reviews. GO SOME PLACE ELSE. don't stay here. Premiere. Premiere is the new catch phrase of hotels and the photos, I'm not sure what hotel they took those at but it sure didn't seem like this one. Let's just start at the beginning. The area. No thanks. The listing makes it sound boutique. That could range. Nope. I'm good. Never again. Parking. 30 spots, they're full. No bigs it's NYC Right. And $25 parking. That's not bad, unless it rains and you're 6 blocks away with kids in tow. Pfft. Forget this place. Plus by the time we got in I can't say I felt totally safe walking to the hotel - and I'm from the Chicago area! I'd walk through a war zone for ice cream. Check in. Whatever. Sorry to bother you. Dinky unfriendly lobby. Ohh but our room. Typical NYC size. But forget you BW PREMIERE. those aren't queens, those are full beds. What a scam!!! And the smell. Well there's 45 different signs saying not to smoke a but a chain smoker must have lived in our room. That's cool we will turn on the air and flush it out, it is only 85 in the city. Nahhh you have a PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER from 1992!!!! WHAT?! well great since the bedding was like sandpaper we didn't need it because we were sleeping in the stinky smoke ridden sauna of a room. At this point I'm beyond! But it's only a night. Lesson learned. We spent a week at the Graduate Roosevelt last week for the same $$, go there folks HANDS DOWN ohh but the restaurant upstairs. I mean we have to salvage the night somehow. Card tables and 1970s banquet chairs in a filthy environment. I get NYC prices but this was a whole new level of scam. Omg. What a joke!!! Really. I'm not opposed to laying in NYC I brought a family of 4 here I know what I'm getting into but literally the soda was about $1.00 and ounce. The size of the cup with ice. Yeah. What a joke. I wouldn't even look this way in NYC again, it literally is a building I wouldn't even bother seeing in the skyline. I can't believe this place can exist as a real hotel. Just no. Run. Don't stay here. There's so many better options. Really. It's 4am. I'm writing this because the bed here is so uncomfortable- it sags in 2 different directions. How is this even possible?!! RUN AWAY. I keep checking for bugs because I feel just gross here. Go across the river - pick anywhere else. DO NOT STAY HERE

"A good place to just lay your head."
I was arriving late to the hotel (like after 9pm). I tried to call the hotel to let them know and to find out about the parking situation but they never answered their phone. I called 3 times and it just keep ringing. That was unsettling, and made we wonder what I was walking into. I get there, park at the fire hydrate in front to check in. The lobby of the hotel was very nice and there was staff at the front desk, it wasn't busy so I wonder why they didn't answer the phone. I did ask they claim they didn't get a call and that maybe i had the wrong number but it was the same number on their business card. whatever i let it go. Check in was quick, apparently they only have 7 parking spots that were already taken so i needed to find street parking. Fine. Luckily I found parking not to far and go to my room. The room is very small but clean. Good for my one night stay. Check out was easy too. I have lived in NYC all my life and in this particular area but moved about 2 years ago. I came back for the day to see family and only stayed the one night to basically sleep before heading back to my home in PA. So i didnt get to truly see what all the hotel has to offer. Room wise there were no frills ( like no fridge if thats important to you). But it is a good hotel if your just looking for an affordable, comfortable and clean place to just sleep and shower.
"Excellent Stay at the Vista Lic"
This is a great little hotel if you know your way around. Easy to get to Manhattan - subway 2 min walk away, or by ferry, bus etc. Lots of great restaurants around. Totally felt safe. Hotel itself is great, nice lobby, room is small but no complaints (some folks may need a fridge) but bed is comfy, room has table, chair, aircon, tv etc. Loved the rooftop terrace (sunsets are spectacular) food not bad too. Did not have breakfast at the hotel as i opted for Rosa's Cafe around the corner. Had lunch at DK PubLIC (two steps away) and got anything I needed from the L.I.C deli around the cornet, sort of higher end then most. Walked to LIC itself is about 15 min. For the price, this is a great find.
"Unexpected great spot"
We went for a soccer tournament weekend with a group. Parking was easy on the street. There was great places to eat in the area (walking distance). Nice lobby, gym, and places to hand with the families . Room was clean and nice. Would return and recommend
"Close to subway line but noise and puddle in the bathroom"
Close to the subway and the rooftop is nice. There's a lounge on the 7th floor overlooking the Manhattan skyline. We were able to get a parking spot but very tight space so be careful if you have a large SUV. Unfortunately, during our stay noise was a concern from other guests and banging of doors. The standing shower door is leaking and every time we get out the shower there was a puddle which is a danger and we could have slipped. One of the night light switch is broken too.

"Best experience I've had at a Long Island City hotel"
We visit LIC frequently to visit our son, who lives in the area, and have stayed at several hotels. Our stay at this hotel was by far the best! The property is very attractive and in a pleasant, mostly residential, neighborhood. All of the desk clerks were very friendly and accommodating, including welcoming me as a BW rewards member. Our room was good sized for NYC, very attractive, clean and comfortable, and everything worked. The 7th floor terrace was a nice spot to gather with our son to visit, though some way to shade it from the direct afternoon sun would be nice. A bit strange that the 1st floor restaurant is only open certain days of the week (W-Sa, I think?); it wasn't open when we were there, so we found a sort-of nearby diner for breakfast. The metro stop (Q, N) is four blocks away (streets, not avenues, so not bad). There are several nice restaurants within easy walking distance. My main concern about this hotel would be parking; we arrived at 2:30 pm on a Sunday and got a great spot in front of the hotel; there were several other spots available nearby. When we walked out to dinner at 6:30 pm, I did not see any spots available. That notwithstanding, I would definitely book this hotel again!
"Great Views and Quiet"
Great place to wait for a flight or get a bite to eat. The parking is limited but it's NY so don't drive there anyway. The view from the terrace was top notch. Make sure to eat at the rooftop at night or at least go up and see the view.

"Mr&Mrs."
The location was very convenient for our needs. Manager was very helpful and even upgraded our room. The price for our 3 day stay was fair for NY The room was clean and shower was also, the location is a mix of commercial and residential so a little difficult finding parking. We were very happy with our stay at this location and would return.
"Room with a city view and a balcony!"
What a surprise this was! Needed a place to lay my head to catch an early flight out of LGA. I wasn't expecting much, as it was so reasonably priced. I loved the room. While the tv did not work it didn't matter, as o was able to sit on the balcony and look at the city view. Ordered room service. The portions were LARGE and the food tasty. The sheets and bedding were SUPER! I will definitely stay there again.
"Clean fun affordable"
This is my second time i stayed there never had an issue if your looking for peace and quiet and professional staff i strongly recommend staying here looking to throw a party ? Vista got you go ahead give it a shot
"Amazing!"
I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It was comfortable, convenient, had good amenities, and the staff was super-friendly and helpful. It is located in a relatively quiet neighborhood and you feel like you are living there for a little while. Very walkable area and close to cafes, restaurants, stores, and attractions like MoMa at PS1. We chose a king room with city view and it was definitely worth a few extra bucks. This hotel was a great value and I would definitely come back again.
"So far the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed"
We have stayed in different Best Western hotels several times and we were shocked when checked-in to this hotel.Very unhelpful staff and don't expect to have a pleasant stay there.Face masks are not required, room was cleaned so poor and dust was everywhere. Didn't see any sanitizing stations at this hotel. This hotel do not follow a green protocol. Overpriced. Do not book this hotel.

"Visit to NYC"
This hotel was perfect for our needs and is a very good hotel for its' class. It has very comfortable beds, the rooms are clean and well appointed and the Manhatten view is spectacular either from the roof top bar or from the Manhatten facing rooms. There are two subway stops very close by that take you quickly into Manhatten, and shops to pick up take out breakfast. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay and the one night when there was a gathering in a room down the hall, the staff reacted quickly to stop the noise. We will defintiely plan on staying again on our next trip.
"Disgusting!"
Stay away from this disgusting hotel! Simply nasty, dated and horrible customer service from the front desk agent, Joseph, to the terrible and disrespectful hotel manager, Patrick! We have submitted a complaint with the health department And to sum the shape of the rooms, there is no usb port LOL. A hotel room in 2021 for $250 a night without a usb port in a Premium Best Western Hotel! Is this a joke?!

"The worst hotel and customer service, dirty room"
Never stay at this hotel. All people who want to stay in this hotel first check pictures. Never stay in this hotel. We booked 2 rooms there for few days but checked out after 5 mins as rooms were so dirty and I am allergic to mold. Both rooms had very bad smell and was super dirty. Curtains had stains, carpet was so dirty. Front desk agent Joseph was unprofessional at all. When we complained and said that room is dirty and we can't stay there he said” I am not a housekeeper” and we can complain to manager. But manager is not helpful at all. He said that anyway they need to charge at $50 at least because they didn't sell that night both room. Who will stay in the room where hair was on the bed, mold in the shower? Corporate please look closer at this hotel and we are forwarding our recorded phone conversation to BBB and health department as this is ridiculous to charge someone for room where we didn't stay because it was not even healthy to stay there. Horrible experience, horrible management. I am a BW platinum member and I never stayed at hotel like this. I can't believe they are a Premium BW. Furniture has scratches everywhere. This hotel deserves not even 1 star. All my family who were with me will write a review and will leave there pictures from their rooms also. It's a shame to charge for a room when we checked 5 mins later. Everyone check pictured before book this hotel. Go to downtown and stay there.

"Horrible experience, incompetent staff"
A dear friend selected this venue for her wedding. As part of the bridal party, I called her designated hotel wedding concierge to make a reservation, then the front desk proceeded to kick us out 1 night early because they overbooked. They never emailed confirmation of the original reservation so we had no recourse.
Jean Tomasicchio, Sales at Vista LIC Hotel, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Sir or Madam, We do show for the wedding venue the room confirmations sent to the bride/groom as well as to the individual booking the room. If a confirmation is not received we will resend. Unless there is a confirmation we can not hold a room. We apologize for the inconvenience.
"Meh!"
We stayed at this location when it was Four Points. Now it's renovated and it's Best Western. But it's rates are more Sheraton. And it's mediocre. See the photo of the rooftop? You won't get that sunny view as It's only open in the evenings. Deceptive. If you ask, they'll tell you there's a small corner on the 7th floor that is a deck available during the day. I have no idea where that fitness room is. There's no breakfast and NO fresh coffee in the lobby. No fresh cream for your in-room coffee - only that nondairy creamer. No mini-fridge. I think the lobby redesign looks cheesy. I think the restaurant could have been done more modern & tasteful. What used to be parking was enclosed & turned into the restaurant space. But it's only lunch and dinner - no fresh breakfast coffee available***. I went to the bodega on the next corner for my coffee fix. (*** This is the Best Western downgrade.) For parking they have an arrangement with local apt buildings to use their space, which is fine, & whether we were lucky or not, they eliminated the price of parking from our bill. :-) We liked the new bathroom sink & shower, & plenty of plug-ins for our devices. They didn't have a separate basket for recyclables which it absolutely should have. So it's a mixed bag. But I have to say that next time we may try to find a different place to stay.
"Stay away from room 708 or the entire hotel for that matter"
COVID has become the universal excuse for shoddy service in the hotel industry. No more room service, no more decent housekeeping, limited services in general and using the extra inventory for section 8 housing. This creates an overall embarrassingly poor showing for a name brand hotel property. Tiny rooms, desperately needing an update. Tiny TVs that should be newer and much larger, and stupid motion sensitive light switches that turn on and off when you least want them to. Room 708 is an especially interesting story. I am a platinum for life and asked for an upgrade for my stay and this was the room they gave me. As stated above, tiny, dingy, small TV. overall lousy, but this room was special. As you will note in my pictures you will see one window is open, broken, and bolted into this broken position. I could hear outside buses, sirens, etc. but it wasn't until my last night that I understood why. My last night had wind gusts over 50 mph and the wind was whistling through this crack, causing the pressure in the room to change, which in turn made the room door jiggle which was enough to trigger the motion sensor in the hallway to turn on the light. This went on all night such that I didn't get any sleep. Knowing the excellent lack of service and amenities, I wasn't going to be told to move rooms in the middle of my last night to resolve the problem. Shame on me for not discovering this incredible blunder when I first arrived and before I unpacked. When I told the front desk about my miserable experience, I was apologized to and nothing else. Not a room credit, not any kind of remuneration for what might have been my absolute worst night in a Marriott owned property. If this story doesn't get to stay somewhere else. I am not sure what will.
"Really nice hotel. Great place to stay"
We have stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed. It's a perfect location with just a short subway ride to midtown. The hotel is always very clean and it was apparent during this trip they put a huge emphasis on thorough sanitizing. The view that we had was amazing of Queensborough Bridge and Manhattan skyline. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a trip to NYC. Dave and Carolyn, Wappingers Falls NY
"Another good trip here."
Our 4th trip to this hotel. Had to get out of the house so we came back to Four Points. In the past we came to experience Manhattan and all it offers. This time we came to relax and enjoy the view from our room and the roof top lounge restaurant with family. Enjoyed drinks and a meal , good food , great service. We will be back . Hopefully the virus will be gone.
"Birthday Stay "
The stay here was nice surprise by a friend at the time . Only issue we had was during check in for some reason my card was decline multiple times but after calling it was resolved quickly . Rooms were not huge but decent size. Staff were nice bed was comfy and pillows had a nice balance to them. Not much in the local area have to drive a distance for food or activities.
