After travelling many years, this hotel hit the mark in all areas: helpfulness, check-in, cleanliness, restaurant, location (for my needs) and exceptional staff. The two gentlemen at reception were outstanding. They were patient, informative and had a sense of humour. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Thank you Annabelle for the great service and all the assistance. The original checkin was done by a different receptionist who provided a room on the 6th floor,a room unclean, smoking cigarettes, with a window open. When I addressed the issue to Annabelle, she fixed it right away. Only because of your service/assistance I will consider returning to the property.
Best Staff ever; from the incredible welcome and exceptionally helpful throughout my stay.. Premier Best Western hotel is definitely my favourite choice; it's pet friendly; which is a bonus.. Rooms are immaculate and mega comfortable.. the location is extremely convenient; especially if you are travelling. Trust me when I say this hotel does not disappoint
Good choice for air travel. The hotel is convenient for a stay before or after a flight and the shuttle service works well. It's handy to have a restaurant on site. The rooms were clean and the staff great. We have stayed at Best Western, Carlingview many times and will again.
Incredible, friendly service. Great food & bar. From the front desk to the bartender, we felt so welcome. The bed was very, very comfortable The entire decor and interior was upscale. This hotel was the finest Best Western we have ever stayed in!
Well....breakfast doesn't start till 7:00am -only android phones work on the televisions which ARE NOT SMART tv's -staff was reasonable but short, unfriendly and not helpful -no good restaurants close by - not the best curb appeal ......
Close to airport, but quiet, comfortable beds. Nice pool and hot tub, nice stay, close to restaurants . Nice , friendly staff. Quick check in. Nice clean lobby, good fitness centre, had restaurant- looked ok but did not use. Good amenities in room
Right from the check in to check out the staff was very polite, friendly and accommodating . Best chicken quesadilla I have ever had. Pillow and mattress were so comfy I had great night sleep! Very affordable and close to hotel plus shuttle service. Would stay there again and do recommend. .
Location is not accessible to any shops. Pillow was less softer and puffier. No complimentary breakfast. Fast check in, security deposit of $50. Hallway was noisy for passerby and whose vacuuming. Airconditioning doesn't get any more colder.
Comfortable bed and clean .room Very near the airport but we never heard the planes in our room Helpful shuttle driver. Lovely shampoo products and the breakfast is off the menu not buffet . Staff very helpful and friendly. We will return on our next trip
We arrived late on our first night. The room looked clean and all, however, as soon as we walked in we could smell a very strong odor that smelled just like cat pee. It was late, so we had hoped maybe it was just the smell of an ammonia based cleaner and that it would dissipate over night. We woke up the next morning and the smell was still extremely strong. We informed the front desk, and they accommodated a move to a new room for us for the remainder of our stay. Our new room did not smell quite as strongly, but still very much smelled like cat pee. It must be an ammonia based cleaner that they use in the rooms. They visibly look clean, but the smell is absolutely horrible. After our second room smelling the same way we did not mention it to the front desk, and made the assumption that it was the cleaning solution. This was enough to turn us away from staying here again. There is a restaurant and Cafe in the lobby. We had breakfast at the restaurant once. It was okay - nothing extraordinary. The cafe was not open during posted hours when we went to get something there twice. There is a free shuttle back and forth to the airport so you can get your flights or use it to catch the train downtown from the airport. When we arrived at the hotel we were told the shuttle left every half hour. However, the next day we wanted it around 4:30pm and were told that it only ran every hour on the hour at that time. You have to book a spot on the shuttle to leave the hotel 3 hours in advance, or a day in advance if its early morning departure, and have to call for it to come when at the airport. This was a bit odd if it works on a regular schedule. Nonetheless, it worked, but it was just strange. We've stayed at a number of hotels near the Toronto airport, and all of their shuttles we've experienced ran on a set schedule of every half hour. No need to call to book, you just knew when it would be there and when it left. Again, it worked out for us, but it just seemed odd if the shuttle was running on a scheduled time. Definitely not sure what is "premier" about this hotel. If this is "premier", then the others in this brand must be bad. We checked out yesterday morning, and have yet to receive our bill//invoice or receipt for our stay. Will not be staying at this location again.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Bathroom was not clean with hair and dirt everywhere. They won't clean and refresh your room unless you give them 24 hour notice. Room was on 2nd floor next to the elevators so you can hear everyone walking and talking going by. Someone called us at 3 am (front desk???) and woke us up for NO REASON, when we picked up the phone they promptly hung up. When I booked the hotel I didn't realize it was the same one (different name) as the one I had my car broken into years back...and asked if it was any safer to park and their response was "better park in the lower levels as there is a camera there at least". They said there were no reports of car safety issues despite other reviewer having their car/truck stolen. Plus they charge $15 + tax a night for parking! That's outrageous. DO NOT STAY HERE. There are better options near the airport. I totally regret not paying more attention and booking this bad luck place.
Excellent hotel close to Pearson Airport. Rooms are comfortable, quiet, clean. Beds + pillows made for a good sleep. Hot tub, pool + exercise room, all very good. Breakfast was good. Free parking on site. Service was timely + excellent. Will stay again.
Had a one night stay and an 18 day car park. Room was clean, tidy and spacious. We happen to be BW premier members so two of us had breakfast included, which is sit down... and was made in to go containers for the room. The parking lot was tight, and by the time we arrived, the only space was outside. Entrance into the hotel from the parking garage is only on the floor where your room is....a bit like a labyrinth. I assume there's some security in the garage, but I didn't see any. Our car was there, untouched upon return. Shuttle to and from YYZ airport was clean and prompt. Location near airport is very nice!
We stayed for one night for a layover. Shuttle pick up at the airport was quick and drop off at the airport was scheduled. Staff was friendly and treated us well. Food at the restaurant was average but I would stay here again and recommend it for short stays.
Decently priced and close to the airport which is what we needed. Thankfully they had a shuttle running early morning which was really convenient. We had a domestic flight at 6:45am so we had to be at the airport by 5ish. They had shuttles running even at 4am. We got on the 5am shuttle which got us there in plenty of time for us to drop off our bags and catch our flight. Sleep wasn't the greatest but that is likely due to anticipation of getting up on time. The room temp could have been a better. We had the ac running all night and found the room a bit stuffy/humid still. Staff was lovely and friendly.
This was a comfortable stay at an affordable and will run hotel. Very close to the airport, excellent shuttle service, a reasonable restaurant, not fancy. The room is clean, excellent and despite it being on the flight path for one of the runways, I heard, no airplanes in my room. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything worked.
This Hotel was very close to airport. The airport shuttle was available with a quick call to the Hotel. The room was great. The bed was comfortable for sleep and the shower was so relaxing after a day of travel.
Good place to stay outside the down town of Toronto. Reasonably priced just wish the AC was stronger to cool the room better.
Great stay. Friendly courteous staff upon arrival and willing to help. Food was good although the variety wasn't exceptional.
They advertise room service but make you come down to get it. Even though I use a cane. Shuttle driver took me to the wrong terminal, caused me a lot of physical pain and I was in danger of missing my flight. It takes a person with mobility issues longer to get around an airport.
Well located place! if you have a stopover: choose this one. The rooms are really old, but for one night it's ok. I was at the 5th floor whoch is quite complicate as the elevator is only going to the 4th. The reception staff was extremely helpful and friendly. they offered airport shuttle, helped, etc. The staff in the bar was unfriendly and not helpful. pity. I recommend this place.
I was surprised and disappointed at the poor service from the staff and the poor cleanliness of the room, having stayed at hotels near airports quite a few times before around the world. Please note that there are 3 different airport hotels, and they do have a business card at the front desk which clarifies the locations for the shuttles! I really would have liked not to have problems, considering I had an early start the morning after my first night - I didn't get breakfast vouchers until I asked for them, although I paid the breakfast rate, and didn't learn about them and what's included until I overheard from other diners in the restaurant. Please bear in mind that there will be loud banging of doors and talking outside your room at all hours of the night!
We bought it at the last minute, a little far from everything in Toronto, you need to have a car, the room was very decorated on the wall, the painting was very soft, the mattress was very soft and the room cleaning service only had to clean the bathroom once during our stay
I stayed in room 319, and while the decor was a tiny bit dated, the bed was very comfortable, the black-out curtains were amazing, and the staff and restaurant really made this stay very enjoyable. I appreciated the fact that the lady at the desk helped me with my luggage, given that i use a mobility aid, and had been struggling a little bit. Oh, and the room i was in was an accessible one, with the roll-in shower, and accessibility bars, etc. I was right around the corner from the vending machine, so that was a great perk as well. The room appeared to be relatively soundproof, and I barely heard the planes, so my sleep was quite restful.
A good, convenient location close to the airport with a free pre-booked shuttle service, running every 30 minutes, was a plus. The front desk staff were helpful in explaining all the amenities available at the hotel and booked the shuttle in advance, as well as a wake-up call. However, we received the wake-up call 20 minutes later than requested, so I wouldn't rely too heavily on this service. Upon checking into the room, we noticed it needed attention from housekeeping; the towels provided were not clean. On a positive note, the self-laundry service was a great option for travelers. Overall, it was a decent one-night stay, especially for those needing to catch a flight.
I typically don't write reviews, but my experience at Best Western Premier Toronto was exceptional. The proximity to the airport, complimentary shuttle service, and nearby restaurants made it incredibly convenient. Although I didn't get a chance to check out the pool or gym, the standout feature was the staff, especially Tatiana at the front desk. Their posative attitude and professionalism were truly appreciated. It's rare to encounter such outstanding service, and it made our stay memorable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Toronto!
Why is someone vacuuming right outside my door at 9:30pm? lol This hotel isn't bad. I didn't eat there, but there's a restaurant (looks kind of boring) called The Flight Path. That makes sense because this hotel is right under the flight path to the Toronto airport. So every 5 minutes a very loud plane goes by and sounds like it may land on me. I read other reviews before booking here that said it was so quiet and they couldn't hear a thing, but not my room haha. It could be worse though, could be trains instead of planes I guess. All in all, I'm happy. I feel comfortable. Staff is nice, room is clean. Pool and area is lackluster. There's a free shuttle that takes you directly to the airport, so we'll see how that goes in the morning :)
Stayed at the Best Western Premier for one night before an early morning flight at yyz. Booked A room with 2 queen beds and the price was good for 3 people. Clean, fast and friendly service and close to YYZ. Tips when booking this hotel included close to Parknfly, close to Airzona bar and grill with good food at good prices and if you like plane spotting this hotel is for you. Overall the property is quiet, clean and the staff were excellent. Will be back!
Looking for a good price in Toronto for a 10 night stay was a stressful nightmare, but i managed to get a decent price at Best Western. Considering the price I paid, I wasnt really sure what to expect for a room. Yet when i checked in, I was greeted with a nice, big king sized room, fridge and microwave which was helpful for my long stay. The bathroom was alrger than what i expect from hotel bathrooms, ans the open half glass wall shower made showering breathable (as someone who overheats easily). The internet was surprisingly fast and all of the staff I saw during my stay was amazing. I ordered from the restaurant once, and the server on that night was just as friendly and helpful. I have never had such a good stay in a hotel before. Thank you thank you thank you for such a wonderful stay! I look forward to my next trip to Toronto. I'll be looking to book here first.
Room was very clean and price was reasonable. On site long term parking was also reasonable. Shuttle service to the airport was on-time. On-site restaurant served good food at a good price and service was excellent. We would book this hotel again for a future stay when flying out of Pearson.
Room is dirty. The stair well smells horrible and I had to listen to doors slamming all night. Wanted to stay close to the airport. Pay more for a better place. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The parking is very minimal. Had to circle twice to find a spot as they allow park in fly but the lot is to small to accommodate the overnight guests
Staff were rude, beds were definitely a double not a queen, everything in the hotel was overpriced, water pressure in the shower was horrible, plug ins didn't work in the room, noisey and could hear the people in the next room clear as day laughing and talking all night which made it hard for the kid to fall asleep! Hottub was barely hot, steam and sauna room was old and out dated and loud when turned on and not hot or steamy at all either. Parking was expensive as well.
In January/2024 stayed 1 night with parking for 2 weeks. As usual, it was an excellent stay. We have stayed at this hotel several times mostly in the past, but decided to stay prior to our trip in January/2024. I phoned the hotel this morning to make another reservation. I needed a room, 2 beds, parking for 2 weeks. The same package as we had in January. To my complete shock, the gentleman on the desk quoted me $420.+ tax.!!! When I asked why the price was so high, he responded with "well, it's the time of year. We need the room for the night of Dec. 19/2024, & we return Jan. 3/2025. Why are we expected to pay a higher price for the date needed, rather than what the rate is on the date of booking. In Jan. we paid approx. $340.00...this increase is not acceptable., & I'll be calling someone come Monday morning. If this is the way the Best Western operates, you can be sure we'll be staying elsewhere.
We stay at this hotel whenever we fly from Pearson The restaurant staff, food and service are excellent The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The shuttle is reliable and the driver friendly We are pleased with the parking packages that are offered
This lovely hotel is close to the airport and has everything you need to make your stay and enjoyable one. The rooms a clean and spacious. The Staff are kind and helpful. The Flight Path restaurant serves delicious meals from incredible servers. The pool and fitness areas a clean and have great hours. There's covered (paid) parking (great for Canadian winters) and a shuttle to the airport (free) should you need it. Great stay - we highly recommend it...plus, the price was just right!.
This was what I've come to expect from BW. I found the room was almost sound proof from the constant air traffick. Love the shower stall. Appeared to be a new renovation. They offer 24 coffee in the lobby with fresh cream and milk!
This is a good option to stay in Toronto for a night as is close to the airport and the shuttle service is really efficient. The hotel is perfectly located: close enough to the airport and far enough from the noise. The girls at the front desk were super helpful, nice and friendly.
Very nice hotel and the staff were great. The rooms aren't carpeted, which I prefer. I wasn't expecting to have to pay for parking for my overnight stay. Disappointing. It's $35 for a pet. It was close to the airport and close to the Park n Fly lots.
We stayed for two nights after a number of delayed or cancelled flights. The staff were so kind and accommodating - they definitely made a stressful time easier! The cost was reasonable and the hotel had all the essential amenities.
When we first got out of the car and a plane flew over, I thought we had made a mistake booking here. It was so loud from outside it sounded like the plane was landing right on us. But in the room, we never once heard anything. The room was clean and comfortable and the price was reasonable. I would stay again.
The room was super clean and lovely, the front desk staff was the best.. The breakfast was beyond terrible .. I understand it was included in the room rate and was a continental breakfast HOWEVER I had tell the wait staff that I got breakfast included, even had to get the manger involved ( not the wait staffs fault at all they weren't informed ) Then, the opened the back private room for my breakfast, left me in there with pastries, apples and toast- No juice or water, no milk, no coffee, the toaster wasn't turned on and no one came and checked on me. I left with a muffin and was vey upset. Then on checking out i was told I had to pay $2 per day for the breakfast that was included as a tip to the wait staff. I dont mind tipping at all, but I did not get waited on and did not go any other days.
The hotel was decent for a one night stay. The food at the restaurant at the hotel was mediocre. They did provide any information on w How we contact the shuttle service once we return from our vacation out of province so my husband called two days before we were to return and was told to go to ground level at airport and call for shuttle pickup. By the time we landed, got out bagged it was around 10:30. We called the number provide, pressed zero and didn't get an answer at hotel for shuttle service. We tried calling for a half an hour with no luck. We then took a taxi to the hotel which cost $26 for a 3 minute ride which was suppose to be included in the package. When we arrived at the hotel we asked to be reimbursed for the taco fee and were told no. We also did not the I r an explanation or an apology for the poor customer service. We travel often and will not use this hotel or park a d fly set ice again.
We stay at a lot of best westerns due to their amazing government rates. The staff at this one were so friendly from check in to check out. As well as accommodating our early arrival and having a standard 12pm check out
A lot of partying going on. Just needed a place to sleep near the airport in between flights. Sleep was minimal, doors slamming all night, loud guests. Vomit outside the exit doors, could have been much cleaner. Definitely won't stay there again if I plan on actually sleeping.
Right under the runway flight path -- a bit scary at first. Staff on the reception were a bit slow and unhelpful. But Sheila in the bar/restaurant more than made up for this. She was great. Rooms were fine.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and troublefree stay. Breakfast was a little expensive. Complimentary airport shuttle service, even at 4AM. Easy to find and a big car park just outside the entrance.
I booked a room that stated it was 2 queen beds on Agoda. When I arrived the staff said their 2 queen bed rooms were booked out and that room wasn't even a valid room type. What shocked me was the attitude of 5 different staff members, who seemingly had no intention to assist me. They instantly blamed me. I explained to them that all I did was book a room I had no knowledge of this, to which they got a 4th manager out who told me “I should have called them to confirm, they would not have offered this room type”. I showed them my booking over and over, however they kept repeating it was somehow my fault and they couldn't help me. I searched Agoda to show them that I could book that same room that night. This actually made them angrier. I was just trying to help by saying they should get that advert amended before this happens again, whist also proving this was not my fault. 4th manager said "let them book it I will tell them the same thing". SHOCKED! This person does not deserve a customer facing job. That could be you booking that same room right now and the manager will simply tell you to bugger off, its your fault and they won't do anything about it. A 5th person became involved who looked up Agoda himself, but then asked ME to contact Agoda and tell them it's not a room type they offer. At this point I was shocked the problem was still somehow my fault and now i had to fix it for them with Agoda. I was in disbelief 5 different people had the same careless attitude and had no empathy for their own customers. Thinking of solutions, I asked for 2 single rooms to which they scoffed and said we would have to pay, they literally treated me like i was trying to scam a free room or something and that again I was the one at fault. All I wanted was for my friend to not have to sleep on a trolley bed!! I find it incredible that a room would go unused yet my friend had to sleep on a trolley bed, thumbs up for a great customer experience NOT. One of the worst hotel experiences ever! The staff need to be taught the value of customer service. None of this was my fault all I did was book a room. If they had been able to resolve this the review goes from a negative 10 to a plus 10 (for helping) instead my friend spent 5 nights on a small troll bed and i am urging you to avoid at all costs. DO NOT BOOK - if something like this goes wrong for you they will have no empathy or ability to help you and you could end up on a small trolley bed as well.
The staff are lovely at the hotel and extremely helpful. The room was clean and basic. It is right on a flight path, but the noise is not noticeable at night. Parking is covered so problematic if you drive a larger vehicle such as a pick-up truck. No other options nearby to park. The restaurant is good and their staff helpful but has limited choices. This makes it difficult for those who have food restrictions. The Internet is slow, and TV is a little baffling regarding figuring out channels but that could be me not figuring it out properly. It is a pleasant hotel with courteous staff. Very responsive to communications as well.
Best western Carlingview a hotel is the most convenient hotel to the airport with long term parking and a great hotel with wonderful helpful staff. The rooms are spacious clean and well appointed and the restaurant serves good meals.
We had a need for an overnight stay in Toronto with our dog - and this hotel is pet friendly and near the vicinity of where we were going. The room was fine - the floor a little sticky from disinfectant we assume- but ok. We did need to pay a pet fee, but it was reasonable compared to some places. Breakfast was not included but there is a Coffee Time nearby and also a Hooters offering some food options.
My parents used this hotel for there extended park and fly and one night stay for there trip to Punta Canta; and loved this hotel, staff was amazing and the bed was there best night sleep of there entire vacation!
We arrived at the hotel check-in, but the receptionist named DARRIL D'SILVA yelled at my 5-year-old daughter because she was removing tourist discount cards from the wall of their hotel. The child cried for an hour, they could not calm down, and at the same time, that they were wrong, they refused to check into a hotel with a 5-year-old child. worst staff we have met. The staff at the reception in particular DARRIL D'SILVA behave disrespectfully towards visitors and with a raised tone towards visitors and their children. Discrimination against children and people of other nationalities in relation to Ukrainian citizens entering the hotel. The owner of the hotel is strongly advised to change the staff at the front desk so as not to pollute the name of the hotel.
The front desk check in, cleanliness, location, sleep quality and quality of the room were excellent as expected from Best Western brand. Where it differed was in value. Price per night was at high end compared to other hotels and offered far less amenities. Note that every Best Western is independently owned and operated. This particular location does not offer any continental breakfast and charges $3 for a very small cup of coffee in the lobby. There is limited parking and no outdoor parking if you have a larger vehicle. We chose this location for the Stay, Park & Fly package but they could not accommodate our vehicle. Tatiana the front desk person was able to quickly locate an alternative parking for us to try at the regular Airport Park & Fly lot and arranged for us to get a shuttle back to the hotel via the airport once we parked there. It did not appear that the gym or pool were available either but even if they were by the time we got the parking sorted out it was quite late and we had to be awake at 5 a.m. the next morning. If you don't have a larger vehicle and don't need any amenities this is a great place to stay. Only because the price we paid for the night was high and the amenities low I am rating VALUE as low on this chart. Otherwise the room was extremely clean and comfortable and staff very helpful and friendly.
The staff is pleasant and helpful at this location. Shuttle driver is helpful with bags and safe drive. The cost is a bit high, but location is convenient near the airport and parking available reasonably
For over $200 a night, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I called Best Western 5 times. The 1st time I called I was told the wrong bus pick up station, so I missed the first shuttle. The 2nd time I called, they hung up on me as I was asking a question about where to meet the shuttle. When the shuttle finally arrived, the driver said it was full and he would have to come back for me. It was 11:30PM, and I was the only person left standing on the platform. I had been waiting an hour outside in sub zero temperatures at the point. At this point, I was in tears, and I asked the driver if the shuttle could possibly fit one more person. And low and behold, there actually was space, he just didn't care to look. He rather leave me, a woman, standing outside all by myself in the middle of the night. The next morning I tell the front desk about what happened and all I got was a condescending “aw I'm sorry” from the woman working the front desk. As for the cherry on top, on the shuttle back to the airport, the driver was extremely comfortable making the most sexist comment I have heard in a long time. A woman was parked in the way and he said “you know what the problem is! It's the lady drivers! They don't know anything.”
I just had the pleasure of a 2 night stay at the Best Western Premiere on Carlingview & from the moment I made my first call to Yami at the front desk to confirm my reservation, I was met with l Superstar Staff during my entire stay! I am disabled with a chronic pain condition & when I arrived in Toronto 4 hours before check-in, I asked the impossible and Yami found a way to make miracles happen & get me checked in early. You have no idea how much I needed that rest. Thank you so much to her, and especially to Bogie in Housekeeping for getting my room ready so quickly on such a busy day. As my stay progressed, I met the similarly incredible Tatiana who went out of her way to help me at the end of her shift on her own time on my first evening when I literally couldn't move another inch. I didn't get to meet Marita face-to-face, but she was excellent to work with when I called the front desk for assistance. Bogie went the extra mile helping me to & from the elevator with my suitcase upon arrival & departure. It's the small things like that that mean everything! And I wish I got his name, but thanks so much to your shuttle driver who waited until past his scheduled departure time so he could take me to the airport. The room was spotless. The bed comfortable. The walk-in shower wonderfully hot. Breakfast sounded amazing, but sadly I didn't make it there - hopefully on my next stay. But, it's the PEOPLE who make for a terrific stay & this hotel has an amazing team. Thanks to everyone who helped this weary traveller “scoot” on along her way. Look forward to my next stay.
The hotel was very clean and the amenities provided in the bathroom were well thought about. The food was not superior in any way. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The rooms are made up every second day which I would have appreciated being made aware of. Some people might be annoyed at the constant aircraft flying directly overhead but I found the sound proofing of the room excellent.
Unforunately, the interior decorator did not know the concept of visual editing and and uses way to many contrast colours, bold designs and bright lights that can not be turned off. The small room had a super bright night light and microwave which made the bright room impossible to fall asleep, thus leading to sleep deprivation before my intercontinental portion of my trip. There were so many contrasting colours and bood shape designs in such a small room that the interior design was a painful to look at. There were not enough pillow in the room adding to the sleeplessness and discomfort. The room would benefit from using less contrasting colours inconjunction with a more neutral and calming palette. The shuttle taxi from the airport was lack luster and a little rude, as they refused other hotel guests in favour of only taking on couple at a time instead of filling more seats in cold weather.
It was really nice to stay in a place that resembled the pictures they advertise on the Internet. I can't say enough good things about my experience at this location. Highly recommend it! The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home, the facilities are clean and inviting, and it was perfect location for myself and my husband to get to the airport and for my business meeting at the Congress centre.
The rooms didn't feel or smell very clean, especially the towels. Hotel restaurant not good. Can still only use this pool facilities for one hour and have to book times in advance. Was never advised of this when we booked and this is why we booked this hotel. Great pool facility with pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Friendly front desk staff. Parking garage good but is a fee.
Nice, well situated, prompt shuttle service from airport. Excellent, friendly staff. Possibly overworked because there were a few oversight which I don't want to lay blame as the over sights were not usual.
Very run down and outdated hotel. This is a 1 star hotel at best. It is supposed to be a Best Western Premier, it is the worst best western hotel I have stayed at. Room was very run down, hotel has a musty smell throughout, bed was not comfortable, breakfast was not included and restaurant breakfast was not restaurant quality food. I highly do not recommend.
The hotel was clean and comfy, staff very sweet and doing their best. If you are physically challenged in any way please call ahead to the hotel directly because you have to park in the parking garage on the 4th floor to get into the hotel from your paid parking spot, and there's no way you're getting a wheelchair in those doors, stairwell unless you can get out of your chair, lift your leg over large thresholds. It was difficult for persons walking with canes or a walker I'm sorry to say, including myself. Again, the hotel was clean, staff are friendly and helpful, good people.
Poor room Perhaps the hotel was full??? But we were given what appears to be a canine room Not very happy This best western should have a lower rating Check in was good as was check out The hotel is quite close to the airport and yet it was quiet We will avoid this hotel in the future
This hotel is well maintained and conveniently located. The Airplane noise can be intrusive, but it is close to the Airport for a reason. We had a mix up with our room but he y fixed it for us with no issue.
I am totally disgusted the way my friend and I were treated on our recent stay at the above noted hotel. Since 2017, I have stayed at this property 5 times and never had an issue, however, my stay from14/9/2022-18/9/2022 was a nightmare. First our room was not cleaned once in the 4 day stay. Apparently you have to make an appointment at the front desk to have your room cleaned. Leaving the sign on the door for housekeeping is no longer sufficient enough and we were never told we had to make an appointment and no where in the room or on my reservation does it state you have to do this. After accidentally finding out about making an appointment, we did that on Saturday night by calling the front desk and again on Saturday morning in person at the front desk and yet our room still never got serviced. Late Saturday night a hotel employee drooped a plastic bag off to our room containing towels, garbage bags and bed sheets. What an insult to me as a loyal customer! Tis hotel expected us to clean our own room. Is this the new norm with this hotel? Overcharge/ price gouge customers and expect us to clean our rooms, change garbage and bedding etc! I will NEVER use this hotel in the future and I am doubtful I will use The Best Western brand again. The management and some of the staff could use courses in customer service. I am appalled by the disrespectful treatment we received at this hotel. I rate this place ZERO!
The staff here are very pleasant and helpful. She helped us very quickly with an issue we had that was our fault and not the hotels. Have stayed here before and will stay again. Hotel is close to amenities
A nice and comfortable hotel. The staff is friendly and attentive to requests. I love the fact that the hotel is very close to the airport. I was picked up from the airport promptly and returned to the airport efficiently after my stay. I recommend this hotel.
Had a great 5 nights here for a get away with my partner. Not to far from dt $30 Uber or less the $15 with buss and train. Few restaurants in walking distance as well! Staff are also very friendly. The room was clean! It's right next to the airport so be prepared to hear the planes. Was not a problem for us!
Nice hotel. Stayed here for 1 night after arriving at midnight form a flight. Just 7 min away from the airport. There is a shuttle service running every 30 min during the morning and every 1 hour during the evening. I believe that they should maintain a 30 min frequency all day long, as I had an evening flight and had to wait almost an hour for the next van to leave. Rooms are big and wifi service is quite fast. My room was clean as well as all the hotel common areas.
AC could have worked better Coffee could have arrived earlier than 3 calls n 1 hour later. Staff named Kalissa was extremely rude and unapologetic about her undesired behaviour. Behaved as if i am staying fir free
Great Hotel. Exceptional service by the reception team. The rooms are clean and a great location to access the Toronto Lester B Pearson Airport. Shuttle service is very efficient. Would recommend this hotel.
No shuttle service after 2 am +++inconvenient we had to pay for a cab for 40$ to get back to the hotel when it's 5 min away. The rooms are outdated, and we had to pay extra for parking. Overpriced for nothing. I will not recommend it. Location is excellent, but no shuttle!!!!
Love that the room I was in was lino instead of carpet. The Indian dish from the attached restaurant with the homemade chili sauce was excellent. The hallways above ground floor are a little scary because they are dark and the air system is loud. Mixed feelings about the pool and spa area . Enjoyed having it to myself ( you have to book ahead) but do not use the wet spa. I turned it on and a LOUD high pitch buzzing came out of it and stayed on the ENTIRE 45 min I was there. Just use the dry spa. Much quieter and more enjoyable. The hot tub was tepid. The guy who drove the shuttle at 530 in the morning was super rude to me which I didn't understand as I was feeling happy and grateful. Oh well. I was even more happy and grateful after I was away from him so I'll call it a win. Overall I was really happy with the hotel even with some of the negatives. The people working the desk were all very friendly. I'd stay there again.
Called hotel one week prior to be told on telephone that I could book a one night stay and pay the $12 nightly parking fee to leave my car at the hotel for duration of my 7 day trip. On checking in I was then told this was not possible and also told by the manager on the telephone that no one at the hotel would have told me it was ……. i.e. I was not being truthful. Awful treatment of a loyal customer.
I have nothing bad to say about my stay at the hotel itself, but their “shuttle service” is the worst I've ever seen. The hotel is 5 mins from Pearson, yet when you call it takes 20 mins or more to show up. I stayed for 2 weeks and had to wait over an hour at one point. No excuse for that. When you call, it should come. End of story
Needed location near airport for early flight with free shuttle to same. Best Western is a reasonably priced brand I know I can trust. I was very impressed with modern décor of room and bathroom AND individual shampoo/conditioner- so hard to find these days. They really got it right with a shower cap and make-up remover towelette. Bed was extremely comfortable. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean. Keurig coffee machine was a nice touch. Definitely recommend this hotel. Due to covid didn't use pool/tub.
Take the airport shuttle from the airport if that's how you are coming in to avoid the ridiculous minimum cost of taxis (it's only a ten minute drive and they charge more than forty bucks). The room is solid and clean, and desk staff SUPERB at dealing with your short stay. One of the best airport hotels I've been to in Canada period.
This was a very nice hotel at a great location. Shuttle service was great to get you to and from the airport where you can catch the UP train to downtown Toronto. Front desk staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. The rooms aren't overly big or fancy, but they were clean and the beds were comfortable. All you need at a great price. Would definitely stay there again
We stayed at a high end hotel in Niagara on the Lake for 3 nights before our stay at this Best Western. The Niagara on the Lake hotel room was not clean, the safe was inoperative and the sink would not drain. Our stay at the Best Western was great ; the room was very clean, the sink drained and the safe worked all at half the price of the Niagara on the Lake Hotel. What more could you ask for!
Great hotel, economical rates and pleasant helpful staff. Restaurant on premises. Covered parking garage and shuttle service. Rooms are clean and provide everything you need for a great stay. Lose proximity to the airport.
Prior to making my reservation I called the hotel to enquire about a late check out. I was told to ask upon check in. Which I did, which was promptly refused. I had booked the hotel specifically for this reason, having a late flight the next day, so I was not happy at all. The room was fine, although I question the need to make guests pay for using the safe. The shower needs looking at, the spray goes all over the place. An easy fix, but obviously overlooked by housekeeping. There is no power outlet next to the bed, to the extend that the alarm provided by the hotel is not plugged in. Upon check-out (at 12, since I could have the late check out) I was charged for parking. While I understand this to be normal practice, I feel guests should be made aware - on the website as well as during check in. I was able to leave my bags at the hotel (no charge this time), I appreciate this. Overall, the staff was friendly.
I like this location because it is close ( 1 block) to an Enterprise car rental that is outside the airport. That way I can save hundreds on picking up a rental car. I fly in to Toronto , take the hotel shuttle over and then walk up to the Enterpise. If you arrive late there are 2 restaurants 2-3 blocks from the hotel, that are open til after 12am.
TRhe hotel is conveniently located near the airport. They have a complimentary shuttle, and the parking facility is convenient. Staff was pleasant so that made the experience good. Lighting could have been a bit better but was ok
Hotel personnel were very professional and friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was exceptional. I will be returning to this fine hotel. The rooms were very cleaned. We booked a park and fly package which was an excellent deal and we parked our car here for 21 days.
Excellent hotel, efficient shuttle service to the airport. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly , kind and helpful. We will return!!
I was disgusted with the stay. I called Friday to speak to the manager. Did not hear back. When I checked out Sunday we again asked to have a manager call me. As of mid day on Monday I haven't heard from anyone. My bed had dirty sheets on it. When I called down she told me to wait until morning. After saying they was totally unacceptable and some back and forth I finally convinced them to find a way to send me some sheets. In which I the had to change in my own. If they were short staffed I should have been offered a new room. Was locked out of my room regularly I had 4 additional keys by the time I checked out. None in which worked. When systems were down on Saturday we waited an hour after saying our keys didn't work and just needed into our room. Finally asking for someone with a master key to please just let us in! Awful experience. I stay at the convention centre often for events. Will never ever stay here again and I was there on a Friends and family from the owner of another location!
Stayed here for 2 nights unexpectedly because my flight home was delayed. Very happy I randomly chose this place - I wanted something budget friendly and didn't need extra frills or anything. All the staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful, restaurant's food was good, beds were comfy, room was clean. No complaints! I'd stay here again. The airport shuttle every 30 mins was very convenient too.
This hotel is not the most chic but it is very clean and mere minutes from the airport. I live two hours from the airport and loathe the idea of delving into airport traffic. Travelling is hectic enough! This hotel offers a one night stay rate with $10/day parking for your trip and a free shuttle that keeps you out of the airport melee. It is really a great solution and the staff are helpful, solicitous and courteous.
You will be happy with your stay here, the staff really care about you and you'll see that in the quality of service, your accomodations and the great value that goes along with it. I recommend this hotel to everyone!
Very clean room, excellent service in restaurant. Covered Parking. Great for against the elements. One of the closest to the airport for a park, fly, stay scenario. You can stay either at the beginning or end of your trip. Shuttle to the airport is included.
Always a nice way to overnight close to the airport, from the shuttle service to check in. Lounge/Restraunt great food. All staff friendly and helpful. I have previously stayed at this property on both business and pleasure and same great service every time.
We've stayed here on numerous occasions. Front desk staff are nice but under pressure from a very rude manager who needs some management training in customer service. Rooms are lovely and clean. Prices have gone up alot. Paid $222 for 7 days parking and 1 night stay. We will however never stay here again!! Part of attraction was the shuttle service however after a minimum of 6 stays here and giving numerous recommendations to friends, last night totally disappointed. Upon arriving at pearson at 2am we call for shuttle only to be told no shuttle service between 2 and 4am. Had to call for a cab to hotel. Upon enquiries with front staff who were also rude, a discussion with the manager He so much as called us liars when we said we have never been told about no service and that we saw other hotel shuttle services at the airport at well after 3am. He didn't allow front staff to speak for themselves and argued that they had told us about the time restrictions. How would he know what we were told!!! This is the second time this particular manager has been very disrespectful but we thought we'd give the hotel another chance. Wrong idea. No sense contacting best Western head office independently owned and operated so no recourse. We will not be back and all of our friends will not be going either.
It's an ok hotel. There are better close by. I was here on business, the staff were friendly for the most part. As my employer was paying for the hotel costs, I did not have much of an option. They tried to get me to give them my personal credit card for the security deposit. I explained that they had a card on file and they could use that for the deposit. After some discussion they figured it out and I went on my way. There were a few families living at the hotel and although they were noisy in the early evening but by 9 pm quieted down. Due to Covid protocols there was no room service, but I could call to the front desk if I needed anything. Everyone was friendly including the 2 security guards working the front lobby. The room was clean, except for the coffee maker, which I decided not to use as it looked like it had seen better days. The refrigerator worked well and kept my stuff cold. When I checked in they told me the restaurant would be open for breakfast, but I did not use the restaurant for any meals. Overall it's not bad, I have stayed in worse hotels. Next time I might try a hotel that is closer to restaurants.
If your vehicle doesn't fit the parking area, they tell you can park in the driveway, as long as the charter buses get by it is ok to park, but you get a $250 a fine because you are parked in a fire zone
Tried to charge my CC $300 over my total bill. No house keeping staff there for my room was never cleaned. Room was terribly hot and AC was not working. Unexplained extra charges on CC that know one knows what for. Very very rude manager when contacted to explain our stay. I elevator not working and stairs were closed off.
Staff was especially welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean and dog friendly. But we caught this hotel at a bad time. There were two elevators for guests but one was not working when we arrived. Then the second one failed as well. The security people in the lobby helped guests to find the service elevator to go up but any guest on the fifth floor who had baggage and a child was left wondering how to go down. Signs would have helped them. The HVAC in our room did not work and neither did our coffee maker. Coffee in the lobby cost $3/cup. Despite being next to the airport rooms seemed well soundproofed.
This is my 2nd stay at this hotel. Will return again when we fly out of Pearson Airport. The Room was clean, hotel staff were friendly, and very close to Pearson Airport. Parking at the hotel was also very easy.
This was a nice, clean hotel. Close to the airport, with shuttle service. Our room was spacious and included a King sized bed, walk-in shower, mini fridge, and microwave. We were a bit worried about our quality of sleep, being so close to the airport but we slept very well and didn't notice the noise of the planes taking off/landing. Our only issue was that both elevators weren't working when we came in after dinner. There are no indoor staircases, which was odd. A staff member brought us up to our floor, using the staff elevator, so it wasn't a big deal. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a place to stay, close to the airport. I should also add that the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming.
We stayed in this hotel following a short trip to Niagara Falls. It was awesome! The hotel and rooms were immaculate. The beds were great and our sleep was amazing despite the landing planes. We were able to use the gym and pool (with a sign up sheet) and the kids were thankful for that. The hotel is minutes from Pearson Airport and you can jump on the highway and go anywhere. The hotel staff were absolutely amazing and super-responsive! They were so good, in fact, that we impromptu extended our stay by a night and hit up Canada's Wonderland the next day! Would recommend!
While you can hear the airplanes coming in and leaving YYZ, it's not horrible. The lobby is presentable. The rooms are pretty quite and nice. The clientele are a little sketchy though. Not many of them wear a mask, even though it is a mandate. Nobody enforces it, so people just walk around without one in the lobby, in the elevator.....it was rather unsettling.
This is a great place to stay when you need to be near Pearson. I booked mainly for the free airport shuttle (takes 5 minutes to get to the terminal) and the economical room rate. I was happy with the room - nicely updated with a really comfy bed and great walk-in shower. Restaurant was closed for supper but there are options just down the street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant was fast, tasty and not overpriced. This hotel does what it's supposed to do, and does it well.
I had a good and comfortable time in the hotel i had enjoyed staying in it.i will recommend my friends to stay in this hotel.most of all this hotel is closer to all other hotels if to see some friends if they stay some hotel .but i was satisfied with service i received from the people who work there.thank you for everything..
The food is absolutely disgusting. Literally inedible. They fed me powdered eggs for breakfast and they were grey. For the amount that they are charging, they could make the effort to feed you something that is actually not poison.
It was a compulsion that we have to choose one of the government approved hotel for quarantine purpose. The food was thrown outside the room and they were very bad quality, they did not provide drinking water and when I asked they demanded $.2/- for a small water bottle, that was too much. The ladies at the reception were very rude. Another horrible incident was, the front desk booked a taxi for me and I was told to pay $.60/- but the taxi driver charged me $.75/- since I gave him $.100/- bill, he easily took 75/- and gave me the balance 25/-. The driver also used filthy language in spite of taking higher charges. I would not recommend this hotel. But as the compulsion by the government we have to pay lot of money, it's like robbery.
IF you have to quarantine this place is great! I was not able to take advantage of the hotel's full amenities but the brief reprieve from my room gave me a glimpse of what to expect from them the next time I am in town and need a room!
I think the negative reviews have more to do with people unhappy with mandatory quarantine than this hotel specifically! I am just finishing my second day here, and the beds are comfy, rooms are clean, and the staff is just phenomenal. They are friendly, responsive, eager to make your stay more pleasant. The chef found out I don't eat gluten or sugar and has prepared some fabulous meals with extra fruit and veggies! Everything is cooked perfectly and portions are generous. May not be the fanciest hotel on the block--but it's much less expensive than the other quarantine options and I'd stay here again, even without the mandate! Thanks so much for making this experience more pleasant than I'd have expected. Keep up the great work! :)
I had a terrible time at this hotel, virtually in prison in a room with sealed windows, as my welcome to Canada. I was incarcerated here, with very average meals in paper bags, while quarantining - this despite the fact that I had had *two vaccinations* and a negative PCR test. I was charged $1050 for my one night's stay. (I was released from hotel quarantine after my second test result came back negative.) It is a disgrace that the hospitality industry seeks to profit from ordinary people's misery - the pandemic is bad enough already. The facilities were fine, and the staff friendly and capable. But why could they not find it within themselves to **refund** what I had paid for the other two nights. It is my hard-earned money, not yours! $1050 for one night in a sealed room and indifferent meals in paper bags = not OK.
I had a horrible experience here. The food is pathetic. I wasted 1050 CAD for worst possible service. They have no food menu, no choice. Not even a single alternative, they should not call it a menu. For today's lunch, they sent me freshly cut tomatoes, and carrots with a bag of chips after telling them that I am vegetarian. They forgot to bring me lunch yesterday, and when I called at 3:30 pm I was told that I might not have heard door knock, and they blamed it on me. After heated discussion, they gave me microwaved stale fries and a wrap. Water is charged at 2 dollars a bottle, even though GAA rate covers food. Some front desk people are horrible. My yesterday's calls were answered by someone who had zero value for guest service and hospitality. Stay away from this hotel. Total Money Grab.
Despite letting know the staff about my meal requirements they sent non- veg options and when i informed them they were rude stating that they have many guests. No value of money. No customer appreciation.
The checkout bill higher than quarantine package booked on line, not honest and not clear hotel website , The manager Richale runaway from responsibility and I wait him for 3 hours to resolve the problem of extra fees and he came and run out of hotel with out met me ,service bad , one of receptionist name Allan was very rude . I never recommend this hotel for any one .
We did our Covid19, 3 night stay and it was horrible. Staff treat you like you are a wild dog afflicted with rabies or what not. The food was pre-packaged frozen MSG foods. It was the most disgusting food I've eaten my life. My wife and I are healthy individuals and do not consume any processed foods. The windows in the room don't open, so lack of fresh air an oxygen for those healthy fellow humans. For anyone who loves being fat, unhealthy and hates fresh air, this is your place. Anyone else who loves respect, healthy diets and fresh air, you'd have better results setting up a tent at the park.
Staying during mandatory hotel quarantine. Loved having a microwave and fridge available to me. All other amenities were good, bed, bathroom ect. Food quality was mediocre but plentiful. Would have been nice to be given a choice between meals (the meat and vegetarian option for example)
One if the staff member he was very rude and was not able to give me right answer,,he claimed that my deposit its not returnable because of covid.once I called headoffice and explained the situation, they right away opened ticket and start to call the hotel regarding this scam.
I was there for a 3 day quarantine. The whole thing was a disaster. First of all, they ended up charging me more the price I had reserved and when I tried to inquire, the front desk manager was very rude to me and telling me they are charging me to tip them without even my permission. The food itself was garbage. I had to order food delivered even after paying over $1000 for a 3 day hotel stay. They only provide 1 500ml of water per meal and you have to buy if you require more water or juice. Don't book with them and go with another hotel.
First of all, the service at the front desk of the hotel at the address 135 Carlingview Drive was really bad. I called the front desk around 10am on April 25 because my test results came back I wanted to ask how to check out. The receptionist's attitude was so bad that I just didn't hear what she answered and I asked: Can you please repeat that? Then the receptionist yelled at me and hung up the phone. I really don't know what I said wrong? I also didn't know exactly how I was supposed to check out, so I got my bags and went downstairs and the receptionist simply ignored me until I ask her to check my test results, which I think you guys are very irresponsible. Secondly, on the first night of my stay my dinner was messed up. I received pasta, but I am not a vegetarian. So I called the restaurant for a replacement. They told me they gave me the wrong bag and I didn't have dinner until after 8:00 and it was only four pieces of potatoes and a piece of fish, which I don't think it enough for any adult. At over $1,000 for three days, it was very much not worth the experience.
Although they charged me much more than the normal prices, the room wasn't cleaned and disinfected. I was disappointed. The portion of meals was not enough for a mature person. The shuttle bus driver was really impolite.
Very disappointed with the stay at this hotel. Highly unprofessional staff. Reservation issue, meal issue, cleanliness issue, TV and heating issue, Calling front desk but no prompt responses. Making mistakes to fulfill the meal requirement. Deliberately put more taxes in the bill and then argued.
Firstly gouging guests for a ridiculous amount of money due to a mandatory quarantine regardless if you have to stay three days. Also serving fish as meals without given a choice. In addition, tried doing something nice for an individual that was staying there as part of the quarantine by trying to send a bottle of white wine. Was told no white wine as we are in a pandemic. We have been in this for over a year now and you would think they would have there sh't together especially since they were assigned as a federal government quarantine hotel. Shame on you Best Western for not giving individuals your best during these difficult times. Will never recommend you for a stay at this hotel. Shame on you.
The price was crazy of course, but a better value than the other hotels on the list. The beds were comfortable and the staff was super helpful answering calls and helping out when they could. Food was delivered cold and the air a bit stale with no windows that open, but I certainly felt welcome and not like a hostage.
I paid a total of $100 for two nights in case anything got damaged during my stay. After checking out, I noticed the money was not refunded back so I called to understand why it was not refunded because i know for a fact there was no damages. I don't know his name but I do know that he was a Indian male, he was being extremely rude to me over the phone. He was shouting and not allowing me to even finish my sentences. I told him that there was no reason to be rude I was just trying to understand the situation. He said that they released my payment so it will show up in my account over a couple of days. I was very dissatisfied with the service I received at this place.
price was very good, room was very clean and comfortable, staff were very pleasant and helpful...sadly no breakfast due to apocalypse, nice and close to airport and major highways.Would definitely stay there again
My wife and I stayed for 1 night prior to our flight. The hotel is so convenient to Toronto Airport and their package pricing was very competitive. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are attractively decorated and the walk in shower is a real plus. Very good towels and bed linens and the king sized bed was really comfortable. We would definitely stay here again
This hotel was used by guests to throw a party and gathering of more than 10 people and the hotel did nothing about it! This clearly breaks the bylaw in ontario. They booked 3 rooms and had more than 12 guests between all 3. They were constantly moving between rooms slamming doors and screaming. I called to complain about noise and they did nothing except ask them to keep the noise down. I confronted the group in the hallways and counted more than 10 people. They claimed they weren't breaking any rules because they had 3 rooms (however they were clearly all jumping from room to room together). I reported it to the hotel staff who I heard knock on their door and asked them to keep 10 or less in a room. They knew they were breaking the bylaw and let it happen! If it wasn't after midnight and I was in desperate need of sleep I would have and should have called 311 and reported the party. The hotel should have done the same. Instead I continued to hear doors slam and screaming all night long. So much for a good rest before travelling. I travel often and would never stay here or at a BW again. Beware of this hotel.
There is no shuttle from the airport and then they charge you for parking..even though you have no choice...staff are rude and dont care..spoke to manager of hotel and he was nasty and rude too..they dont care at all..room dirty.. sheets itchy and air conditioning didnt work..elevator floor so dirty and sticky my shoes were sticking to floor..never stay here even if you get a great price..never worth it
I love this hotel. Perfect rooms, prefect parking. Everything is amazing when you stay in this hotel close to Pearson airport. They offer 15 days parking package for traveling. Rooms are well decorated, modern and clean. Breakfast and amenities better than any other hotel in the area.
I stayed here for business travel during COVID-19, during an extended overnight flight layover and it did the job. The hotel was clean, check-in was quick and it's less than a 5 minute Über ride from Terminal 3. My room faced the airport which meant I could hear the low rumble of aircraft taking off during the night but it wasn't that bad that it bothered me. There are two things I base a hotel recommendation on; a comfortable bed and a nice shower with excellent water pressure, and this hotel had both of those. The TV was also wall mounted and larger than most hotel room TV's, which I appreciated. The coffee maker used the pod system, so if you are staying here for an extended period, you could use your own pods or a refillable one. The coffee was quite good, but I can't remember the brand they use. Due to COVID, all their other services and ammenities like the free breakfast and the gym, were closed, so I'm unable to comment on any of those. I would stay here again without hesitation.
No facilities in operation, no food options, no fitness options, and no reduction in rate because of NOTHING being available. Was a comfotable place to stay, and location was good. Would not try again until services are actually offered.
This was in a strange location without a car, really nothing around. The room was very nice in a very new hotel, very comfy. The pool area was ok with a nice small gym as well. One disappointment was no breakfast like we traditionally are used o at most best westerns.
We needed to stay over night at the Toronto Airport and where looking for a convenient hotel to stay. Our King room was comfortable and clean. Service personal friendly and efficient & breakfast was also good. Can be recommended.
After flying in from Mexico early as a result of Covid-19 it was good to be back in Canada. The front desk was staffed appropiately and precautions were in place. Although the dining room was closed take-out establishment names were available, as well as a cooler with sandwiches, beverages and yogart for sale. I requested a room close to the elevator as I was walking with a cane and have a bad knee. The shuttle driver on both trips to airport was friendly and extremely helpful.
Lovely clean hotel, easy check in. Hotel restaurant very good. Great breakfast for $9.99. Friendly, helpful staff. Shuttle to and from the airport prompt. Covered parking. Easy to find from the 401. Highly recommend.
We recently took a trip out of Toronto and needed an park n fly hotel. Our travel agent suggested the BW Premier Carlingview. We had never used this hotel before but she said we should give it a try. The hotel was very nice, quiet, had lots of amenities and a very good bar/restaurant. What we appreciated the most though was the covered parking. Any one leaving on a winter vacation knows the value of coming home and not having to clean off your car while not dressed properly. The other major reason we loved this airport was the shuttle. It is a 24 hour shuttle and it goes directly to the airport and does not stop to pick up others from additional hotels. That is important when you have to be up at crazy hours and are in a hurry. The price was very reasonable too so you really have no reason not to try BW Carlingview.
We have stayed here 3 times in 2020. We stay here every year as you can get your room, 1 to 2 weeks covered parking while you are away. They have a shuttle that takes you to and from the airport. They also have a restaurant on site which is only average but you can park your car, check in to your room and then go down with out having to go outside and eat. Makes every thing so much simply.
We had booked this hotel since the price was right and bonus there was a shuttle.Great hotel except we were facing issues where the heat wouldn't come so the front desk agent had given us a discount on our room rate plus a blanket.Next morning we were going to catch the shuttle when the driver who appears to may have started his shift had blood red eyes which looked a bit disturbing. We ended up going in the shuttle where this driver drove at a high intense speed to the airport it was unreal. As we got to the terminal we got out and he asked us to pay him $20.00 to take out our luggage and we said we don't have Canadian money on us where then he shut the door sat in his vehicle and told us to take our own stuff out.I was shocked and never expected that's to happen at 5am.I had called the hotel and I told them what had happen and asked what the drivers name was and they mentioned his nam was Vas.Unbelievable I hope that agent I spoke to reported this incident to the manager as this is unacceptable and my daughter who is 7 years old did not have to see.Beware of the shuttle service as it is unsafe and drivers may be intoxic.
Food and restaurant service was very good, parking lot was full had to park in driveway. room was comfortable, Check in and out terribly was very slow and check out just as bad. Will not be staying here again
Stayed here recently and my review is mixed. The room is clean and bright and overhead air traffic is not a problem. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Disappointed in the parking availability. Definitely not something you can bet on. Internet and tv were down for the majority of the time is a major disruption when you're travelling for business and need to connect. The restaurant is handy but overall you'd be better off elsewhere. Don't think I'll choose this property again.
We booked here again, along with a friend because of the free parking and shuttle to the airport. In addition, the rooms are clean, and they have a nice little restaurant on site. Good service, pleasant staff, and easy to get to. Oh... and one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in!
Best Western is very close to airport. Staff were very courteous. Hotel was very clean. Room was clean, roomy & bed comfortable. We ate at hotel eatery hostess was very nice and food was good. Airport shuttle is available.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. It is immaculately clean, great service, & the restaurant on site provides delicious meals at reasonable prices. There's really no need to go off the property to eat. HOWEVER I recently called to get a quote for a room for 2 people, 1 night (park'n'fly package). The reservation I want is for December 23. Yes, that far in advance, as our vacation package has us booked for an outbound flight Dec. 24. I was advised by the woman on the desk that as of the time I called, the room was $X., which I thought to be very reasonable. HOWEVER, upon learning of the date I was wanting, I was quoted a ridiculously higher price. She said that they base the cost of the rooms on the number of guests at the time I want. To me, when I'm quoted a price today...then told it will be $ higher for when I want, you can be sure I'll stay elsewhere. The woman also suggested to me that I wait 'til the 1st week in October to see if the price quoted would be lower. At peak travel time during Christmas, nobody is going to wait that long to book a room. I therefore said "no thank you, I'll go elsewhere", which I have already booked. By the way, Best Western the "elsewhere" quoted me $150.00 +tax for a one night stay, & 1 week parking which is there park'n'fly package. I asked if the price would go up when the reservation was indeed needed & I was told that "No, we quote you a price today, that's the price you get it for..it won't increase'. No thank you, Best Western. You've lost a loyal customer.
Hotel is close to Airport, morning staff were friendly. Restaurant at this hotel had a good selection. Meeting room was comfortable and nicely laid out. Coffee in the lobby cost $2.00, and nice selection of snacks available at the front desk.
Front desk staff was unhelpful and more interested in monitoring their own cell phones than helping guests. Room had no heat, parking is difficult to access from hotel, all around a disaster, will never stay there again
I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel, located right across from a park N fly ..... newly renovated. The rooms very very large and clean and decorated comfortably. Service at the front desk was friendly .... quick easy shuttle to the airport. Will always use this hotel when flying out of Toronto international airport.
We had to change our plans due to weather which required us to stay in Toronto overnight. Booked on line, called to arrange an early check in as we arrived at 8:30 AM. We arrived and yes our room was ready. Great room! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant and enjoyed both experiences. Shuttle to and from airport seamless. Check in and out quick.
Stayed here before going away for 2 weeks at end of January. Room would not warm up. Their solution was to bring a space heater. There was no follow up or apology. On returning in a snow storm we called to find out when the shuttle would arrive. Was told that he would call the shuttle driver to find out and then he hung up. No call to update us on where the shuttle would arrive. I called back (total of 6 calls made). Finally got told that the shuttle was coming but he would call the driver to find out. Hung up again. Finally with one of us in a wheel chair. Went out to the post specified by the hotel (37) and saw the shuttle at post 43. On my way there with the luggage the shuttle pulled away. Immediately called hotel. Same person said that he would call the driver and hung up again. Called again and was informed that the shuttle had returned to the hotel. Asked for a phone call when the shuttle was returning. After a 15 minute wait decided to take a cab at a cost of $21 plus tip. Received a call from the hotel that the shuttle was on its way when we were almost there. Let them know we were taking a taxi. No empathy or offer of recompense. Will not be going back there
The Best Western Carlingview is much closer to the airport than some other hotels, which can save a lot of time. Traffic jams and bad weather can cause big delays if you're staying farther away. The shuttle bus operates frequently, unlike other hotel buses that go every 2 hours. The rooms are well soundproofed but there is a small amount of noise from the jets, which wasn't a problem. This hotel is well organized and a great place to stay if you're using the airport.
We booked this hotel for one night at the last minute as we found out upon landing from our flight from the Caribbean, that our connecting flight to Halifax was cancelled due to winter storms in Atlantic Canada. The front desk was very accommodating and let us stay in the same room a second night when our new connection was delayed another 24 hrs again, even though they were completely booked from all the flight cancellations. The food in the bar was fantastic and the servers kept our beer mugs replenished regularly. We have stayed in BW's all over the world and they have always been very comfortable but this one is the best with top notch service and updated rooms. We will choose this hotel again whenever we have future layovers in Toronto.
Excellent stopover going and coming from a trip. Covered garage is a plus. Front desk are so friendly, laid back and helpful. Restaurant is simple, has great food and staff are also very friendly. Rooms have been updated, are very clean and bed and pillows ate so comfortable. Rooms have fridge, microwave and coffee maker. We have been here before and will return again. Join the Best Western Reward Club, get points to put towards a free stay but be sure to quote your rewards number when making your reservation. FYI..your charge on credit card may be $50 more than your actisl bill but that is a hold charge that will be credited back to your card within a few days later. I would suggest they tell you that up front so you understand that when your card is charged. Shuttle is prompt and courteous.
We stayed one night before flying out to Barbados. Location was perfect. The room was clean and very comfortable. Location was perfect. The shuttle was right on time both going and coming. We had the best stir fry dinner in the restaurant that we had in years. The covered parking garage was a bonus. Glad the wake up call service worked because I set alarm on pm instead of am.
We stayed here so I could drop my wife off at the airport. Literally a five minute drive. Room was great. Restaurant was cozy and had great service, great food and good value. Parking is limited and you have to pay extra for it.
Clean, modern and welcoming hotel; great stay, park and fly packages. Free shuttle to and from airport. Covered parking lot! No snow to shovel off when arriving home from winter break. Fabulous amenities. Staff is excellent and very welcoming.
When travelling in or out of Pearson Airport, this hotel presents the best value for long term parking. Most spots are covered for winter snowfall protection. Unfortunately, we got there late in the evening and had to park outside. That's on us, not the hotel.
Booked because we had an early morning flight to catch. Room was decent size, but dreary and dark and not 100% clean. If you're a very light sleep bring ear plugs. Room is as sound proof as it can be considering planes are passing over a couple of hundred feet overhead. Check in / Out was easy and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Parking is $12+tax overnight, payable at the hotel. Would recommend it for those who don't want to risk a winter drive down the highway for an early flight.
Loud noisy repairs was on going and were never told about that. Our phone rang randomly at 4am saying something like your alarm for your flight and we never asked for that plus worst, a cleaner I guess just randomly entered our room without knocking and switched on the lights while we were sleeping and literally ran away when realized we were in.
This Best Western is a very well designed and appointed property. Our room was well appointed and the bathroom had a walk-in shower. The restaurant offered a great menu and the food was excellent. Extended parking is also available. We will definately stay here again
Very modern hotel and close to airport. Only complaint would be that it would have been nice to be notified that there was a charge for parking, but it was a minimal charge. would def stay there again!
Stayed here the night before leaving for the Bahamas. The staff was very friendly and check in/check out was quick. This is the third time we stay here prior to travelling and we have always had great service. The shuttle service is very efficient and simple. When you check in, you simply let the staff know the time of your departure. When you return from your trip, you give the hotel a call and the shuttle picks you up within fifteen minutes of your call. Will definitely stay here again And recommend this to other travellers.
Stopped overnight on our way to Jamaica. Great location to airport. Hotel was exceptionally clean room was wonderful. Great stay. Easy to get back to airport. Breakfast was very good, service was fast. Got to hotel late but Lounge was still open which was nice. Bed was very comfy. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
We love this hotel because the reception staff are very friendly, the restaurant staff are amazing and the food is delicious and very generous and the rooms do not have carpeting and the decor is contemporary..... they are very clean.
we needed a good room to stay between flights .. they had great shuttle service to and from the airport & all staff were extremely very nice ... they even gave a wake up call & had reserved our very early morning shuttle for us ahead of time
They take advantage of the elderly, financially Not giving my grandma all the information and confusing her. Just the absolute worst customer service I've ever seen towards the elderly. She had the worst day flying, delays, upon delays and then this best western experience just made things so much worse. I expect more out of such a reputable name.
Hotel was clean but does need some updating, registration area was very nice but the rooms do need some work. Did not know until we arrived that we had to pay for parking and to leave our vehicle for the length of our trip was very expensive far more than to leave it at othere facilities.. Very close to airport and airport parking.
Stayed here on Saturday Nov 30, spent the day at the Toronto Christmas Market and went out for dinner in Toronto, check in was pretty smooth, front desk was helpful, got to my room and the keys didn't work, I was advised to come downstairs again to get them re set. Would have preferred the option to have someone bring me new keys but I went down, 2nd time to room they did work, rooms are all standard, so they had no upgrades for Platinum members. Room was clean, big window, bath and shower clean. Didn't use breakfast tickets as we had to drive out early the next morning. Wanted some water but the vending machine was broken on our floor so we had to go to the lobby again to get some water. Overall nothing wowed me, also you can hear the planes all night, which doesn't bother me but my husband didn't sleep.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The recently renovated room was well appointed. The shuttle was available quickly. The restaurant served the best quesadilla that I have had to date. Sure there's a bit of airplane noise, but that comes with the handy proximity to the airport.
Stayed here due to power off situation at my apartment. All services are rendered courteously and professionally. The location is great for a quick stay close to the airport but there is very little happening in this neighbourhood.
Located very close to the airport. It's a great place at a very good price. The rooms are newly renovated. Nice big walk-in shower. LVP flooring in room. There is a coffee maker, microwave and a small fridge. They offer a shuttle to the airport. In order to leave your car at the hotel you have to book a park and stay package. The self park ParknFly is right across the road. There is a restaurant in the hotel. I did not try it. I walked up the road to Arizona's. The food was awful. Further up the road there is a Turtle Jacks and a Marriott that probably has better food.
Room was WAY too hot and temperature control on the wall was just a sham and staff didn't give a rip. The room was 70 degrees fahrenheit on arrival which is TOO WARM for me. I used the wall unit to decrease it to 66. An hour later it was 71 degrees. I called the desk and that's when the fun began of someone coming to the room to "fix" it and me being informed that I was stuck with 70+ temps. This was 10 pm. The next morning the room temp was 74 degrees F! (I have a photo of the thermostat). I reported the issue to the front desk AGAIN that morning upon leaving for the day and said I expected it to be resolved when I got back that evening. That night I called to report that my room was still 71 degrees, and was told basically too bad you're stuck with it. It is UNACCEPTABLE that I should not have an option to reduce the temperature in the room. I was informed that the "chiller" (? Air Conditioner) had been turned off for the season. I feel that I should have access to temperature control in my room YEAR ROUND. I couldn't even open a window to get some relief. Another issue was that the breaker popped one of the morning causing me to be delayed leaving. I assume it was because the hair dryer and the coffee pot were on at the same time but don't know. They also offered parking in my room rate but parking was full so I had to park on the street.
Stayed here for airport convenience as they give you a shuttle. Checked into one room, hair balls and hair everywhere in the bathroom and something that looked like blood on the floor. Second room, one of the staff took me. He opened it to find trash in garbage and hair on the bathroom floor and it was obvious that they didn't use a mop on the floors. At this point, the employee told us to wait in this room while he went to check on other rooms. 3rd room- still did not meet any hotel standard and was a motel level. Hair in bathroom, no Kleenex in the Kleenex container, desk had a sticky spill on it and the end table had hair. Very gross and don't recommend. I'm sorry,I used to be a diamond member with BW and stopped going to their hotels as their standards seem low at various properties. Very disappointed in the way they handled this and my last room was dry too.
I often visit family in Toronto. I stay at the Best Western Carlingview usually about once a month. It is a great hotel. The service is very friendly and helpful. As a Best Western Rewards customer I receive points each time, and also additional bonus points. The last time I got 500 additional points. I have also redeemed my points to get a free stay at the hotel. The breakfast has wonderful muffins, and great coffee. This location has an excellent shuttle service if you are travelling. Wonderful stay!
After my 1st night I called to ask if I could get a room on the 5th floor was told no it is booked. And the kind of room I choose from Hotels.ca is not available on the 5th floor. How am I expected to know that the front desk offered no help. I also called to inquire if the bathroom were functioning was told yes and they were not this was based on a previous experience at the same hotel
I stay at this hotel because it is clean and the beds are so comfortable . It isclose to the airport and highways. The price is affordable. Is located under an arriving aircraft runway. Is awesome to see the planes so close when they are landing. Love this hotel.
Staff are very friendly, very clean, reasonable price, very nice retro decor, pet friendly, great location!! Right at the runways end, great view of the planes from the fifth floor!! It was very relaxing for me with all my travel!
Very nice hotel, but front entrance was easy to miss. Great front desk service reprensentative. I did not know there is daily parking charge, and the way it show up pending in credit card was very confus, it seems that I was charged double for parking each day.
I gave the hotel 5 because there was absolutely nothing wrong with our stay, everything was convenient, friendly and at least as good as expected. The bed was comfortable, parking was on the property and covered (good for winter) . The restaraunt and bar served us well, with excellent service from Mira and Sade. We will definitly return next time we fly out from Toronto!
The room was clean and check-in was efficient. The shuttle service to the airport was on time to take us to the airport and very prompt to pick us up. It was a great service to be able to leave our vehicle at the hotel while we flew elsewhere.
Location is very convenient, outside decor is attractive, room decor is average and dated, complimentary breakfast is appreciated .... BUT BE AWARE ... $12.50 nightly to park your car was a disappointing and unnecessary surprise at check-in
So we were leaving hotel very early, of course that time of day there was no breakfast available, so the offered us sandwiches or what ever we wanted from the cooler. So we chose a tuna and one egg salad sandwich each. We thought we would save it for the plane, which we did. Later on the plane, we did open our sandwiches and they were super bad, enough to make you spit out the bite you took out of the sandwiches. Both the types of sandwiches were foul. Bad Bad Bad. We were so disgusted. but the airline stewardess had already passed us by, so no food for us on our flight to Edmonton.
I stayed at this Best Western Hotel on my way to Phoenix Arizona on a business trip. The proximity to the airport was amazing. I took their shuttle to the airport and it arrived at the exact time I was quoted. The room was very modern and clean. The staff, during check-in, were very professional and friendly. The check-in/out process was very quick and efficient. I had dinner in the restaurant/lounge. The meal was very good. The menu selection was excellent and the bar staff were very friendly and courteous.
The BW's great hotel near Toronto's International Airport with free terminal pickup bus to/from the hotel. We especially liked our free breakfast (the BW level got this for us) the next morning after our 34 hour flight and transfers from Australia and Dallas/Fort Worth airport. Note one thing there are several BW hotels that you could mistakenly take the wrong bus like we did, but the driver took us to the correct one near by! I highly recommend this BW as a layover to our real destination in Niagara Falls. For Toronto you might want to go on into town by the train....just so you are there the next morning.....
Positives: - Friendly check-in - Clean, bright and modern rooms - Our dogs and child loved this place - Waitress at restaurant was very friendly and atmosphere was nice - Despite being directly by the airport we found the plane noise fairly quiet Negatives: - Served raw fish and then undercooked fish with no discount given - Cheese cake wasn't pulled out ahead of time before dinner so had to take it to my room frozen and let it thaw only to find it had a weird cake bottoms instead of the traditional graham cracker crust which was slightly disappointing - Hallways are noisier than most hotels. You can hear people and doors closing very well inside your room All in all it was a good stay. Our biggest disappointment was the food.
This is a nice hotel. Positives: Bright clean rooms - nice bathroom. Yes, only a shower but it was good. Friendly and helpful check in staff. Negatives: no free breakfast, paid $12 for parking. Loud because of the airport - but not unreasonably so.
Requested a late checkout and got it, requested extended parking and got it. WIsh they had a bathtub, my barkhole doesn't quite feel clean without a bath! Plenty of indoor parking accessible without going outside is a bonus!
Best Western Premier hotel is the best accommodation near the airport. Excellent service and very clean, Staff friendly and efficient. Shuttle bus available at any time. Driver friendly and assisted with your bags. Our stay was perfect.
The hotel was very clean including the hotel itself, the interior, the room and the restaurant. I was very pleased. I requested a quiet room when I made the reservation and I had a great room. The layout of the room was nice and had all of the amenities I needed. I would definitely stay here again.
The night auditor was rude. The halls were dirty. Laminate flooring in the rooms. We had 2 kids that needed a bath. They said they don't have any hotel rooms with a tub. The website said their restaurant opened at 5 (photo attached) so we paid for the buffet breakfast. It didn't open until 7am so we had a crappy continental breakfast. We overpaid. The only redeeming thing the place had was the bartender. when I went looking for milk for my kids the bartender was very kind and great at her job. My partner also went down for food later and had a great experience with the same bartender.
Other than service, and the beds. This hotel is falling behind on its experience. For the quality it is trying to hold, this hotel unfortunately falls short. Holes are found on the wall were things such as old toilet paper holders were previously held. At least you can tell they attempted to patch it, but didn't care to do it right. Cleanliness is overall good, however looking at the rooms heaters you see terrible filth that really leaves you wondering how clean the hotel really is. The design is old, however I did read that they were renovating, but nevertheless the hotel needs a modern transformation of it is going to keep calling itself Premier. Best Western has better “Plus” hotels than whatever this hotel was.
A shuttle from the airport, a friendly and helpful front desk, a lovely room that was not too "hotel Like" with the decor and lovely food in the restaurant. Loved my stay and would highly recommend even if not just a place to stay flying in or out. The hotel shuttle can drop you at the airport and an easy 3 stop ride into Union station allows easy access to Toronto city
We stayed at the Best Western Carlingview Hotel several times. The room was great, the service was very friendly & helpful. The restaurant provided excellent food & drink. The staff allowed us to check out a little bit later than the normal 12 noon check out.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Toronto Pearson airport to which it provides a shuttle. The unpretentious lounge and restaurant serves excellent food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, excellent value.
Stayed here with family while visiting Toronto, we checked in rather late, had 2 rooms, lady at the desk was very friendly and got us in quickly, rooms were nice, beds super comfy, nice showers and very clean, we didn't get to use the pool because we checked in so late, breakfast was really good, our waitress was extraordinary but now I can't recall her name! Would effeminately recommend and go back if I'm ever in Toronto again.
Reception were arrogant and most unhelpful. Sign at parking says you must register at front desk. BUT THEN YOU MUST TRAIPSE BACK AND PUT PARKING STUB ON YOUR DASH. This property is highly overrated. Last time I will use Best Western!
Great location close to many restaurants. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Business center is equipped with computers and printers. Everything you need for business or pleasure. A+
Absolutely no complaints. Front desk was helpful and sent someone to sort out my TV problems. Room service was very helpful and my meal was delivered in record time. The shuttle to the airport was on time and comfortable. I will be back.
Front desk staff was very rude and disrespectful. Very much focused on Proving me wrong and very inflexible about simple requests. There was one receptionist answering three phone calls while making me wait at front desk. Overall very poor service and not willing to accommodate to special request such as extra cot for a child.
From the minute we arrived the staff at the front desk were so welcoming. We had a room with 2 Queen beds, the room was spacious and inviting. The beds were super comfy and what I loved loads of pillows. Microwave as well as coffee maker in the room. Shower to was great a great size walk in.( free coffee in the lobby another bonus) The Pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna was really wonderful. My nephew had just travelled 7hrs and it really helped him unwind. The restaurant on site had decent food and reasonably priced, we ate there for dinner and took advantage of the early breakfast. I was wanting a swim before leaving and very kindly the girls at the front desk give me a half late check out so as not to have to rush the relaxing time I was having at the pool and hot tub. First class service and again everyone who worked with us was more than helpful I would highly recommend this location. Shuttle service to and from the airport was efficient and a great service.
Always love to visit this hotel when we're in the Mississauga area. It's conveniently located next to the highway and represents Best Western fantastically. Arun is a wonderful front desk representative and I hope he receives acknowledgement for this.
Accommodations were fair as described in advance by AAA, but Park, Sleep and Fly shuttle service was poor. Attempted to phone BW from airport for info on shuttle times but no answer. Had to use another service to get to hotel. Unacceptable.
Check in was fast. Room was newly renovated. Great night sleep. Shuttle to the airport was fast and the driver was very nice and drove carefully. The price for the hotel was quite reasonable. I would definitely stay here again
Location is perfect - near highways, restaurants and the airport. Rooms are neat and presentable. Best of all, the service is OUTSTANDING!!! Very friendly and professional staff at the front desk, displaying an eagerness to serve you. Brenda in particular exceeded our expectations in understanding our needs and worked with us to ensure all of our needs were met. We will certainly stay at this hotel again when back in town. Well done!
In a world where hotels all seem to be the same, this one stands out. From the moment I made my reservation to the time I checked out, all I encountered were friendly, helpful people. Great work folks.
This was an ok experience parking is extra not a fan of that there is no Express Check I asked I was told "NO" the water is only Nestle no real variety. The smokers would smoke in front of the hotel not a fan of that at all
I would love to say that this hotel is great but at the time we went in late May early June 2019 they decided to do renovations on the third floor, tearing out floors, walls etc. We were on the third floor and they did not tell us they were going to do this. The stench of the flooring being ripped up was unbearable! On the third day I had to quickly find another hotel for the 4th night. I was lucky to find one. If the hotels were booked in TO for a big event I would have been out of luck. The smell of cleaning products was very pungent in the air as soon as we walked into the hotel. Hotels have to start using unscented enviro friendly cleaning products and this hotel does not. It was a disaster and I would never go there again. I have never posted a negative comment on this site but felt I had to warn people to ASK about renos before booking any hotel. On the postive side the rooms were very quiet despite being next to a major highway and very close to the airport. That was about the only plus for this hotel.
I had an overnight in Toronto and chose this BW because of location and reviews. It didn't disappoint. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was comfortable. Restaurant is handy and offered very good service. Shuttle service was prompt.
Very friendly service, beautiful gym , and located very close to the airport. I had an excellent meal at the restaurant, food nicely presented in timely fashion, and reasonable prized Also complimentary shuttle bus to and from airport running every half an hour.
Check in was friendly and efficient. Just a few minutes on the shuttle from the airport.Room was nice with a new shower and a comfortable king size bed. Nice feature was the restaurant was open until 11 PM. So even though our flight was late we still could have dinner.
Hotel is clean and staff are friendly we had no place to park because flights were delayed due to snow storms so we parked beside hotel where we were told too when we return we had $500 worth in fines the management needed us to give them permission to go to court so they could fight the tickets in the end after numerous emails and four month the tickets have been taken care of at no cost to us but we probably won't stay there again. We thought they might offer a comp night but no be careful.
In May 2019 we used the car parking and airport shuttle service and stayed here the one night prior to our departure. Front desk staff was excellent upon check-in, the room was immaculate and had everything we needed. The shuttle both ways was seamless and prompt. I would stay here again.
Have stayed at this location several times. Short drive to Lester B Pearson International Airport. Went with 11 family members. Brenda at the welcome desk was amazing. She ensured that our arrival and ability to get everyone in their room was done quickly and efficiently. Brenda even ensured that we had something to eat, even though our departure was well before chef arrived. (Breakfast was included) Place was very welcoming and clean. We will definitely be staying here again next time we travel out of YYZ (September 2019)
If I was rating the staff alone, this place would have all the stars! The front desk staff went out of their way to make my daughter's 5th Birthday so special. They had balloons and a small gift for her when we arrived and were so incredibly sweet to her. When they saw my son had a toy plane, we were given tips on the best spots to go around the hotel to watch the planes take off and land. The hotel location is very convenient being directly across from the airport. Our family had the pool, hot tub and saunas to ourselves for the nearly two hours we were down there on a Saturday which was amazing. You have a lot of choice near the airport and this hotel is a bit older and underwhelming but the staff are phenomenal and will make up for any shortcomings!
Spent a night each way on a Cuba vacation. Friendly staff, decent rates, 2 blocks from Hooters Restaurant and also has an in-house bar and restaurant although we did not use. Shuttle drive is only 5 minutes and no issues with the shuttle service. Rooms were comfortable but lots of planes flying over until about 10:00 which did not bother me at all. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed an outstanding stay at the Best Western Premier Toronto Airport Carlingview Hotel! Every member of the staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful. The hotel's location is very convenient to the airport and local office parks, and there is ample parking available for a small fee in the hotel's covered parking garage. The large, beautiful lobby features comfortable seating, fruit flavored water, a small convenience store located next to the front desk, and a fully equipped business center. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a great menu, freshly-prepared entrees, and wonderful service. The spacious guest rooms are beautifully appointed with a wide range of deluxe amenities, and the beds are very comfortable. In addition, the high-speed Internet was fast and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel!
The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clear. The bus going to and from the airport was great 15 minutes from the time we called for the bus and the bus arrived at the airport. Great parking for our vehicle. When we fly again Best Western will be on our list. GREAT JOB EVERYONE AND THANK YOU.
I stay here occasionally before flying back home from YYZ. The hotel is clean, quiet and well-appointed. The staff have always been great to deal with and the shuttle service is quick, efficient and as-advertised. Walking to nearby restaurants can be a bit of a hassle depending on weather, etc due to location, but the hotel restaurant and bar are both quite good.
Always stay here when flying out on trip. Park the car for however long you are away. Great clean rooms, great shuttle, and fast check-in. Rooms have always been clean with nice amenities. Will stay here again for sure!!!
Nice and clean. Super accommodating Front Desk staff upon check in (Allan). Good parking but with extra fees ($12/day). Not much to see around but very close to the airport. Shuttle runs to the airport every hour or 45 mins (I think), not very frequent though. Should be every half at least, if not 15. I love the bathroom lightly scented amenities. The highest floor is on the 5th floor but the to get there is quite weird, where you have to take the elevator to the 4th floor and go through the door right to take the stairs up to the 5th. Not convenient. Comes with free breakfast though I didn't get the chance to actually go for it. Overall, good quality, good stay and will return.
We stayed in an accessible room as I use crutches so require one when at a hotel - the room was close to the elevator and had a full walk in shower so was fully accessible for me. It also had visual fire alarms for individuals who are hearing impaired in the room and washroom. Floors were hardwood with no carpet so it would be easier for wheelchairs/crutches, and much cleaner in my opinion. Overall, very satisfied with the room - although it is very close to Toronto International Airport and is on one of the flight paths so the planes come fairly low - I didn't find it noisy or bothersome but some might. If you like plane watching (like I do) this is a great option as the flights could be seen passing by our window when using that flight path.
Great hotel for a quick stay. Very clean, cozy room. Hotel staff were very friendly. The shuttle driver was so kind. Super short ride to the airport and quite a few restaurants within walking distance.
We astray at Best Western hotels frequently while traveling, but were totally unimpressed with this one. On check-in the young desk clerk was apathetic and unhelpful. She was more concerned about monitoring her personal cellphone. We were assigned to a room that had no heat on a cold evening in early April. When we complained, a man who attended the room couldn't speak English and when I went to the front desk to request a room change, another front desk clerk gave him a list of rooms to check to see if there was heat. After a half hour delay ( and the hotel was not busy ) we were assigned to another room but it too was cold. We found the front desk staff very poorly trained. As we were leaving our car there for a week, one would expect that advice would be given as to how to contact the hotel upon our arrival back - but no, we had to ask for that information or else we'd still be looking for our vehicle. Breakfast was sub-par for BW standards. Poor show all around. Will never stay there again
So dissopointed, rooms stuff so old and looks tired, needs to renewed. Breakfast is not satisfactory, best things is the shuttle service... Besides the good things are rooms clean, beds are comfortable.
We stayed here 1 night before our flight. Close to airport and offered shuttle service. It is an old hotel but rooms are updated. Price is reasonable. Check in and out was smooth. Staff at front desk friendly.
Excellent location, clean & comfortable rooms with the usual appointments for business travel. Easy access parking. A good location for flights to or from Pearson. A number of good restaurants close by
Nice hotel. Nice modern room, but hallways are very dated and look like an old motel. There needs to be more signs to get back to lobby as well as exit stairs. I opened the door that was marked exit, and I was on the roof the door was not locked nor do ti lead to stairs, which is very unsafe especially for kids.
Stay here before and after flights to nd from YYZ. Good price, good beds, love the wooden or composite floors and walk-in showers. It is next to airport so during the day you hear planes. I'm trying their long term parking for the first time - love that it's covered. We had a strange reaction to the sheets - hot and prickly The shuttle challenges me - I'm a bit grumpy before and after flying - so much fun these days lol That said we always get there and back in time! We leave too early for breakfast, usually. And I like to drive to a nice restaurant for a good lunch (this time Kleinberg Belsito!, last time Terra Cotta Inn in Terra Cotta lol) so a snack before bed is all we need. Internet was good. Towels were great!
W arrived at 10 pm after an 8 hour flight. Shuttle ride was great but full. Front desk fellow was really helpful. Bar and restaurant were closed. Needed Canadian change for a 4$ coke from the machine so we were out of luck. We were told we would need to go down the street about 3/4 mile. That was a choice of Hooters, 2 stripper joints or a place called Arizona(about a mile). 5 am next morning, you will hear EVERY JET because it must be located at the end of the Pearson runway. This is not an off hours place to go. We needed to leave for an early flight next day. Not going to be a repeat visit here.
We chose this hotel as it was the best price for the YYZ airport, had shuttle service and also we are BW Reward members. The hotel was a 10 minute shuttle ride, a new, beautiful hotel, gorgeous lounge and restaurant, lobby, room and large bathroom and shower. The bed quality was excellent, unfortunately we only stayed about 8 hours! I would definitely stay here again if we needed a hotel near the airport.
My teenage daughter and I stayed here one night as she had an early morning flight to catch. Check in was quick and efficient. Hotel was busy (March Break) and was pretty clean overall. The rooms were a little more dated than I expected, but still good considering the price and comfort of the beds. Bathroom was very large and had a huge shower - but it didn't really have a shower door or curtain so it was a little weird. Parking is cheaper at this hotel than many others in the area. Our room was on the top floor which wasn't too bad at night, but when I returned from dropping my daughter off around 7am the noise from the planes was considerably louder. Shuttle was good, took longer than expected on my way back to the hotel even after calling to confirm. Overall good stay.
I stayed here for one night. Arriving late at night the shuttle service was good. Only had to wait about 5 minutes. Once I arrived I smelled a strange odor coming off the elevator on the second floor. My room was sub par. Paint was splotched on ge wall above the floor trim. The window was filthy from the outside. The was dust under the bed. The carpet on the floor had several thread bars hanging out. The bathroom shower wall needed grout. All this for $160 plus parking. I did discuss this situation with the front desk lady and she made notes for housekeeping. There was no compensation offered and not much of an apology. Parking was very good being under cover in the hotel garage. The hotel lobby looks very dated. I inquired as to whether the hotel is currently under renovation. The response was a definite no. As much as I like the convenience , shuttle and parking the overall experience was not worth it. Respectfully peterland1954@gmail.com
excellent food and room. wonderful service , covered parking . Excellent service . checked in early and room was ready - has a pool , all of the amenities you would need . Shuttle service on time for pickup and delivery
We stayed here in Dec2018 and again in feb and March2019 fast check-in, friendly staff, great service to and from airport, clean rooms and parking for two weeks, smaller hotel than some and very quiet.
Our stay was great staff was friendly and quick at checking and check out The room was very nice bed were extremely comfortable slept wonderful. Great location for getting to anywhere airport or travelling around Toronto. I will recommend stay here and I will be stay here next time I return to Toronto.
we had a room for the night that was very nice, left our car there for a week and had an airport shuttle ride to and from the hotel. Everything was great. Staff were courteous fun and helpful as well.
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times when flying as they offer parking for the week, and shuttle to airport.Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable, also love that the rooms have flooring instead of carpet.Front staff is super friendly ,we will return and highly recommend!
We have stayed with the Best Western chain for years. Recently we phoned them directly to ask if we could arrange a reverse park and fly, as we were flying out earlier in the day, but returning very late at night. After 20 minutes on the phone, which included the central booking area phoning the hotel, we were told this was not a problem and was booked. The rate was not wonderful, I could probably have beat it with a cheaper hotel and doing a park and fly - but booked it for the convenience. What was a huge disappointment was to arrive at the hotel and have Joseph at the front desk basically say they did not do reverse park and fly's anymore, and then spend 40 minutes - time including his trying to get central office to find and play a recording of our phone call with them - to tell us we would have to sort this out on our return. What a sad beginning to a holiday! Luckily on our return another person was at the desk and we got things sorted out and they did agree to honour the original price, not the higher one Joseph was insisting was required. However, I will be very reluctant to book with this chain again after this experience.
If you're looking for a place to stay out at the Toronto Pearson Airport, consider the Best Western Premier. I travel for a,living, and I recommend the hotel, highly. Good value, a dedicated shuttle service, an in house Restaurant, and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. The front desk staff, especially, stand out for their attentiveness and professional attitude.
Stayed the night prior to flight and they went out of their way to help me get a park and fly service. They were also kind and courteous at the bar/restaurant with exceptional food. I will use this establishment again.
hesitant to tell how great this hotel is a it may be difficult to book when people find out what a gem it is. we stayed here several times prior to our flight and utilized the parking facilities. Close proximity to lobby and covered parking make parking hassle free and convenient. Rooms were very clean and modern. I am a clean freak and was impressed with the covered remote and no carpeting.
Called hotel for pick up was told driver would be there shortly. Waited 20 minutes called again told driver would be there is 10 minutes. Hotel is 3 km from airport. Driver informed us that they come to airport on demand and had been sitting at hotel until 10 minutes prior to our pick up. Front desk had no recollection of the first call. This is the 3rd time this has happened.
We had a great experience with this hotel. Easy to get to, check in was a breeze. The room was nice, beds are comfortable and the shuttle service to the airport was on time. Staff in the bar/restaurant were very nice, food was.good. We would definitely stay there again!
Went on business last September to Toronto. Stayed the 2nd time at the Best Western. Location and proximity to airport is great. Service and Hotel room quality are goo too. Perfect for one night. Will stay there again in April.
After getting stuck in the Toronto airport we couldn't find anywhere to stay. The front desk staff at Best Western were amazing an the most helpful we had found all night. It was worth the short shuttle ride from the airport.
One nite stay prior to leaving for holiday in DR. VG room. Parked car in covered building for 8-days. Ate dinner in their restaurant (VG). Shuttle to/from Terminal 1 was A1. Reasonable price for total package. Staff was VG. Clean Hotel.
We make it a point to stay here on our way down south and our return trip every year. The staff are great the airport shuttle is great. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and the restaurant has good food. If you need a relaxing place to stay between flight this place is great
Don't bother trying to reserve shuttle because driver and reception doesn't do anything about others that jump on when they shouldn't. Had a group of 10. Had to stand in the van because it was over capacity! Parked where we were told to by front desk because there was an issue and parking was full. Only to come back to $500 in parking tickets. When front desk had keys to move vehicle.
I don't usually so this but I'm giving the Best Western Premier Carlingview hotel a bad review. Not the hotel or the room or the service of the desk/restaurant staff. The shuttle service to and from the airport was dangerous unsafe and drivers were unskilled and lacking in communication. Also the parking in general was overloaded. People had to park in the laneway/lobby firelane and leave the keys with the hotel since they overbook their park and fly rooms. We had a group of 10 and were told the van was taking us in one group since there are only seats for 10 people. The driver started loading 4 other peoples luggage on the van as well. When we complained and said we weren't gong to fit he just kept saying yes ma'am yes ma'am. We were crammed in and 3 people were standing. He drove the van like he was being chased. Also the van is not a park and fly shuttle with standing room. It's basically a van with a couple feet of extra head room Very unsafe for people to be standing. Upon arrival back from our week away I called the front desk/shuttle service and told them what happened on the way to the airport and requested our group only on the van. The woman on the phone said sorry and she would tell the driver. Again crammed in with two extra people standing this time. I don't know if this is the hotel policy or just the disregard of the driver. Either way it's not a benefit to anyone. The drivers didn't get a nickel out of any of us for a tip and with hundreds of hotels to choose to stay and park at I sure wont go to this place again.
I have stayed at this Hotel for past 15 years while travelling- when it was an Indigo and now that it is BW. First off - how this is rated as a "Premiere" is beyond me. It is a bare bones basic hotel. Which is fine- just there to sleep and catch a flight next day. But NOW they have changed their rules suddenly on parking. I have always booked the Hotel and then paid for parking separately. So now you HAVE to book the park and fly option. (with not notice) And get this- they flat out refused to just let me pay for parking when i was checking in- they wanted me to cancel my room and re-book at an over inflated price. AND Diamond level status meant nothing. They checked and saw i had only stayed there once in Nov and none since. So they couldn't help me. She said they could of helped me if i had stayed more often recently, but would not help because i had not. And Diamond level status means you have stayed 30 Days in a BW Hotel in a year. So a month of your life per year in a BW Hotel, and this is how this Hotel treats you. I had to check out in the morning and drive my car elsewhere to park before my flight. Unbelievable- this place used to be great. Will never be back.
We stayed here after returning from punta cana and waiting for our flight home. This hotel is very under rated in my opinion. Nice and handy to the airport with a shuttle that will get you there sooner than they tell you. This is awesome! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room and rest of the hotel is super clean. The beds are so comfortable and they have excellent pillows. We will stay here again when in the area and hopefully for a longer visit.
Great hotel, clean, comfortable, easy parking and shuttle to Airport. Restaurant was as good as any on the stip so super convenient, all staff were courteous and helpful, would recommend it highly and will stay there again for sure.
This is our favourite hotel close to the airport. The staff are friendly and accomodating. The hotel is clean and the rooms excellent. They even welcome our little dog when we are travelling with her. You can't ask for better service than that.
Quick easy airport transport! Long day of travel and a quick call and they were there to pick us up in minutes! Had to leave around 3am next day and again quickly arranged and we were off! Clean and comfy beds and hooters down the street!
Over the phone from Cuba, quick easy and fantastic rates! Staff was super when we arrived exhausted, the shuttle service was quick and comfy, and the driver had a fantastic sense of humour! Arrived safe and sound to the hotel , front desk staff was excellent.
I have nonreal complaints about the comfort if the rooms or most of the service. Although the beds are advertised as "queens" they aren't. They are doubles. The front desk staff are mostly good although one of the ladys was SO rude. She was snippy and catty and kept talking to her friend and ignoring the customers. Everyone else was fantastic.
We required a pet friendly hotel, in NW Toronto area. This Premier property was welcoming and staff friendly and helpful. Encountered no issues. Parking is extra ($10) and pet fees apply as usual. Room well appointed and set up well for pets. Enjoyed are stay!
Stayed here again while going on vacation. They have great rooms, very good & friendly staff that go out of their way to help you. Never have had a problem. Also have great parking for your vehicle long term.Their shuttle service is great going to or from the airport. Would highly recommend.
The good: -Good location near the airport. Shuttle was quick. -Room was fine. Clean. -We arrived later evening and ate at the lounge. Server was friendly and food was fine. Could be better: -Front desk staff. I had checked us in online when prompted by an email from Best Western. Assumed that would make actual check in quick and easy. Nope. Staff couldn't find the reservation. I gave them the confirmation and reservation numbers. Said they couldn't search with that info. ?? Found it eventually but should have been easier and less stressful. Checked out early in morning. Male staff member looked like he'd rather be anywhere else then couldn't figure out how to apply our gift card to the total.
Shuttle service and location was really good, desk staff very friendly, the room and amenities were very modern, proximity to Pearson was great! There is luggage storage, coffee and water in the lobby, shuttle can get you to Pearson where you can take the UP Express.
Stayed overnight while flying to the Grand Caymans. We arrived late and hungry! However, the chef cooked us our choice from the menu even though the kitchen was closed. The restaurant staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was included but owing to our early flight missed out on this, but was told we could help ourselves to sandwiches, juice, coffee and pastries in the cooler. Overall, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Shuttle service excellent. Would stay here again.
I would stay at this hotel again. The rooms were clean and appealing. The beds were very comfortable. Check in and out were quick. Attended a banquet and the meal was very good and the food hot.. Very affordable. Staff helpful and friendly. Close to the airport and easy to get to/from Hwy. 401.
Quite nice modern hotel just be a to Toronto airport, convenient location, clean, good service, close to parking locations. Highly recommended. Very easy on & off access from highway 401. Stayed here twice
Our room was very appointed and very comfortable & clean. We request an earlier check in Saturday morning and the staff was very accommodating. Parking was easy and very safe. We attended a banquet in the evening in one of the meeting rooms. I was well decorated and the meal was the best buffet I have had in a long time. Everything was well presented and I think he was the Food manager was there making sure everything was hot. I thought this was a nice touch as it says to me that they care. There was a cash bar that was a little expensive but great selection of drinks. I would definitely hold a meeting or event there. In the morning we had a special room for a continental breakfast which was also wonderful
Clean, comfortable accommodation, great location close to the airport with reliable shuttle service, excellent arrangement for leaving the car while out of the country, covered garage, and a nice restaurant with good food and service. Staff very welcoming and courteous.
I have stayed at several best western hotels over the years the quality of the room and the amenities are continuing to decrease. Her most recent stay was terrible. We called to ask that the pool and hot tub are in working order and that they were warm enough to swim (80°) or higher. We were told that it was. We we're going up for the Royal Winter fair we checked in a day earlier because we wanted to use the pool and the hot tub. We went down to the pool the temperature was 78° which is 20° colder than your body temperature needless to say way too cold to swim in. The hot tub did not work well we had to keep playing with the buttons and the Jets were so weak you couldn't feel anything. Then we tried to use the sauna and it was broken. We complained asked for the pool to be turned up they refused. Asked to speak to a manager they refused said there was no one on duty for the weekend. We asked for somebody to call a manager so they can get the OK to turn up the pool so we could use it the next day no one ever got back to us. The beds were very uncomfortable the floor is cold with the linoleum and the showerhead had very little water coming from it and the temperature would go from extremely hot to extremely cold without even touching the tap. The toilet would not flush unless we held the handle down for several minutes. The last day trying to check out none of the room keys worked for the entire hotel therefore we needed people to hold doors to go back-and-forth to get our luggage out to our car. Another thing that was not told to us when we called that hotel directly to book was that we had to pay $10 a night to park on top of our room Bill. Will never ever stay at a best western hotel again.
Their airport shuttle was fast picking us up but that's the only positive feedback I have. The TV didn't work initially and the room could have been cleaner. We had the a/c on and the room kept get hotter which made for a horrible night. The restaurant had crap food that was served extremely slow. Not up to typical Best Western standards in my opinion. I even used points for this stay and I was unhappy.
great room and service and great pick up service from airport and great restraint food and pools were great staff was great I would stay there again close to airport lots of parking in parking garage very clean
After my Ordeal from the quack hotel (WEST QUEEN WEST HOTEL in Downtown Toronto), I got highly compensated by having a world class friendly staff here at Best Western Premier Hotel, clean environment with indoor gym and swimming pool at the basement. I cannot for any reason fault this hotel rather than to highly recommend it to anyone visiting Canada. Free airport shuttle to Pearson airport and nice carteen and quiet atmosphere. I highly recommend and please keep the professionalism up. Thank you for looking after me and allowing me have a great stay.
Whenever I fly out of Toronto this is my hotel of choice - Convenient highway accessible location, Safe Extended Parking available, Super airport Shuttle Service, Ultra modern Rooms, Swimming Pool & Wonderful Friendly Staff!
Many of the rooms on the fifth floor of this hotel are reserved for a business that provides "entertainment" for men. If you stay on the fifth floor, you will hear a lot of noise of people doing it. Fair warning.
This is a very nice, well kept hotel with friendly staff and comfortable beds. It us very quiet. It reminds me of a European hotel. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and enjoy coming back.
I needed to stay at an Airport Hotel and picked the Best Western because of my past experience with this chain. I was not disappointed and found a new level of customer satisfaction. Front desk staff were ever so helpful and friendly. The shuttle driver was great ensuring the safety of passengers and their comfort. I was a bit nervous about the plane noise but once in my room did not hear anything. Of course the signature bed was great. Slept great as usual and enjoyed a great breakfast from another staff member who was friendly and provided great service. What can I say. I will be back
Comfortable room, welcoming staff, efficient airport shuttle & secure garage . Everything you need for a quick stop near Pearson Airport. The restaurant was good, and staff there and at checkin were very efficient and friendly.
Warm, welcoming and attentive staff at front desk. Facilities and rooms all excellent. We stay at this hotel every time we have occasion to overnight in Toronto. Located right next to the airport with 24 hour shuttle service. Just 5 minutes to get you to your terminal. There is reasonably priced express train service from the airport that will have you downtown Toronto in 25 minutes, and leaves the airport every 15 minutes or so.
We have stayed several times at this hotel. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. The airport shuttle is available 24 hours a day. The rooms are recently renovated and the price is exceptional for the airport strip. The restaurant has very good food. Inside parking is included in the room rate when you fly out at no extra charge. We will continue to use this hotel on our next trip.
We stayed here recently and booked for the night prior to an early morning flight. Booking was fast and easy over the phone, a great deal that included one night stay and 5 days parking. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The restaurant has amazing nachos, and the 24 hour shuttle to the airport was so nice! No issues getting to and from the airport. Friendly staff and drivers. Would stay here again on our next trip!
My Sister and I stayed here and did the park and fly it was a nice hotel and it had shuttle to and from airport and it was very affordable and clean I would definitely do this again next time I fly out and do the park and fly
Had a great overnight stay at this newly renovated hotel 10 mins from the airport with a complementary shuttle. Good were lovely. Very modern decor in bright clean colors. Bed was amazing! Front desk and restaurant staff were all very friendly and helpful. We plan to return and stay for a longer visit.
Shuttle bus picks you up at the airport. The hotel check-in was quick and easy. The room was very modern and had everything we needed. The restaurant was incredibly friendly and the meals we had there were excellent. The shuttle bus took us to and from the UP train for our trip into the city and again to the airport to catch our plane home. Checkout was straight forward and prompt. Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff at the hotel were excellent.
Although i cancelled my booking due to some circumstances, i was still charged. However, tripadvisor listened to me, looked into my case and within a short period, solved this issue for me with fully refunded.
Room was clean, which is always my top priority for having a hotel room. I found service was a little lacking... they couldn't bring my friend up a tooth brush because they had only one person on the front desk.. had to go down and leave our room to get it.. a little odd! When we got down there wasn't even anyone at the desk so I had to wait a little bit. I do like this hotel, and it's the second time I've stayed. Never have tried the restaurant, I usually eat out! So many restaurants in the area. Proximity to airport it great!!
The hotell is close to the airport but not within walking distance. The room is not big, but comfortable enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 children, during our 1 night stay. After a long flight our kids wanted to go swiming in the pool, we ended up to only be in the hottub since the water in the pool was very cold. The food in the restaurant was ok, big portions. As we expected there is some noice from the airport with planes landing and taking off. However beeing really tired from a atlantic flight, this was not a problem for us. We where happy there where blindes that made it dark in the room. Thumbs up for the free shuttle service to the airport!
We used this hotel for a Park, sleep and fly. The booking online was easy and customizable for the nights needed for parking our vehicle. The parking is on site, so we were able to check-in and then go for dinner. There is a computer station if you need to print a boarding pass. The shuttle to the airport was prompt and friendly. We did wait a bit for our return shuttle, but it was a very busy time of the day. We would stay there again.
DO NOT BOOK - EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF WHO TRIED PICKING A FIGHT. The air-conditioning was not working. Waited half hour because staff was out. Staff came back to the room, rude, still drinking milkshake. Tried fixing it but unable to. Insisted that it was working, when it clearly wasn't. Argued with him several times, he was being extremely rude. Insisted that it was working despite clearly no air-conditioning! He was just lazy to sort the issue out. The hotel should really look into its staffing better. I will never stay in any Best Western Premier branch again, and will be spreading the word. This has really ruined my trip.
We arrived to Toronto airport around 1 AM and the shuttle picked us up to the hotel. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. A bit of a wait at check in which wasn't great to wait after a full day of travel. My only issue was that our room was on the 5th floor which required us to take two elevators to get to our floor. Breakfast was excellent with a full menu to order from. The staff were so helpful and allowed us to use the Shuttle back to the airport after we spent 3 nights in a different part of Toronto. Enterprise car rental was two minute walk .
Our family group of six was staying for one night before flying out from Toronto Pearson the next day. We arrived overdue for a Blue Jays game, and they checked us in very quickly. Sheila in the restaurant was very welcoming and kind to us over breakfast. Even though our airport transfer ended up being well after the checkout time of 12 (delayed flight), the reception staff were very happy for us to stay on, including using the swimming pool to entertain the children during that time (even providing extra towels and hairdryer). The transfer to Terminal One was only 10 minutes. It really was an excellent hotel for a pre-flight stay.
We booked this hotel so that we could leave our car while we flew out of Toronto airport to Vancouver. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful in getting us checked in to a nice room, helping get the car parked and shuffling us to and from the airport. They also have an on-site restaurant which made it nice for dinner the evening we arrived and breakfast the morning we came back. Well done!!
We checked into this hotel in the evening and the power was out. We were told that the power had been out for several hours before we arrived and that there was no timeline on when the power would be restored. We were not offered any arrangements at an alternate hotel so we decided to check in. The power was finally restored at 6am the next morning. The hotel manager would not offer any discount as we were told that the power outage was beyond the control of the hotel. I understand this however why should we still have to pay full price for our room? The manager made it seem as though I was annoying him with my complaint and informed me that no one else complained about this issue. I will not stay at this hotel again.
We stayed at this hotel on our last night of our vacation it was clean, welcoming and lots of comfortable relaxing places to sit The staff were very helpful and friendly they made you feel so welcome and nothing too much trouble! The bar area was a pleasant and staff friendly, which served a good variety food.
I've been to many many regular Best Westerns that were much nicer than this one, not sure how this one is a "premier". The smells are what bothered me the most, I've been all over the world and the smell reminded me of third world country hotels. Even my room stank, it smelled like a dirty smoker was in there and the hotel tried to cover it up with cleaning spray? So that I'm not completely negative... The tile floors in the room were very nice and it's always awesome when the room has a nice walk in shower.
We booked this hotel last minute and were so pleased with our booking. The front desk staff (Sumit especially) were incredibly kind, even while they were very obviously busy. The room was awesome, bed was super comfortable, parking was awesome, and the shuttle to the airport took no time at all. Will definitely book again.
Five of us were stuck in Toronto overnight due to a cancellation of our connecting flight to Sudbury. It was difficult to find any hotel rooms near the airport until we lucked out with this one. It turned out to be real gem! My husband and I had stayed here years ago, but last week we hardly recognized it when we arrived! It has been totally refurbished and I believe it is under new management. Check-in was friendly and professional. The rooms are beautifully-decorated and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. Even the little in-room coffee-maker made surprisingly good coffee! We went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast and were overwhelmed by the service and the quality of the breakfast offerings. I had what is probably the best omelette and home fries that I have ever had! Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh! The portions were generous and the price very reasonable. Our server was very helpful in giving us directions to take public transit to the Ontario Northland bus station (since we couldn't get a flight out of Toronto till 11:05 pm. OUCH!!) and even tried to give us the TTC fare from her own money! We didn't allow her to do that, of course, but we sure appreciated getting some Canadian change for our $20 bill. Then the hotel's shuttle driver gave us a ride to the bus stop. WOW! At every opportunity they treated us like royalty! I can't say enough good things about our experience at the Carlingview. I applaud the management and staff for making this stay such a pleasant one. Thanks so much!
I would like to thank Rana! If it wasn't for her I would not return. Had a bit of a bad experience checking in and the called twice for the shuttle and it never showed up. We ended up taking the TTC got dropped off at Carlingview/Dixon and walked the rest of the way. They changed their policy and we almost had to go to another hotel. The first person I dealt with was rude but the other member or supervisor was very nice and made things work. The next day I spoke with Rana about how awful check in was and she explained things very well on how they had to change their policy and apologized immensely for our experience. This was our third time staying here and it was almost the last but thanks to Rana we will return.
This hotel is a very convenient place to stay, super close to the airport, parking include, shuttle to the airport, very clean rooms with all that you need during your stay, and the best of all are the employees, very kind, polite, educated and eficiente, they help you with all your needs, there is not a problem that they couldn't solved, Yami works at the reception, she is the Best one!!!!!
Great choice for overnight stay on the way to the airport. Staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. We were quickly checked in. We used the wakeup call and pre-booked shuttle to the airport. Everything went smoothly.
I cannot rave enough about the service at this hotel. Their star employee, Allan, went above and beyond to assist me with a late-night booking and arrival. Their shuttle service from and to the airport was prompt. The room was sparkling clean and beautiful. Staff wore smiles all around. I felt safe and welcomed. Thank you once again for your hospitality.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good, with airport prices. The room was updated and comfortable. Lots of pillows. Good air conditioning. The shower was great.
The staff at the reception is very helpful. We travelled to Europe for just over two weeks and left our car in the covered parking lot. For the price of the room (one night, C$214.00) we left the car for 14 days. The only draw-back is that the air conditioning system can be very noisy and does not respond well to adjustment. The room are very clean. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport. The dining room is open until 10 PM, an advantage when arriving from Europe, which is usually between 5 and 8 PM.
We decided to stay close to the airport for convenience for our travelers arriving from across Canada. Airport shuttle was also a key factor. From the time of booking the conference, to the rooms, the catered food and the staff they get a +5 rating. Very willing to please and get us what we needed. I love the Meal Package pricing as it made it very easy to plan. I will definitely be back! Thanks Best Western Premier Toronto Airport Carlingview Hotel!
the hotel is more than adequate and the staff are all exceptional. our compliments to them and to the management. close enough to the airport and rooms are well equipped, comfortable and clean - if a little sparse.
This hotel is close to the airport and has a complementary shuttle. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff member that checked me in was pretty rude but the other front desk person was really nice and helped me get an Uber.
Parking is in a "ramp", so it would be great for winter trips. We parked on June 12, and came back on the 19th, found the car in great shape but very dusty ( nothing to worry about). Found the room to be very clean, staff friendly. We would have no trouble staying here prior to our next vacation. We didn't eat in the hotel, so can't comment on food. The shuttle was prompt, the driver cordial.
Second time staying at this hotel. Still good value to do a park & stay. Efficient front desk, comfy & clean. Their dedicated shuttle to Pearson International was excellent. Left on time from the hotel, and when we called for pick-up after our flight back to Toronto, it was there in 15 minutes. This is the only hotel I will ever stay in when flying out of Toronto Pearson.
This property was formerly an Indigo hotel and as such it has the feel of a boutique hotel with slightly upscale rooms. In fact, this was the first hotel near Toronto Airport to not have carpet in the rooms. The bathrooms are spacious, clean and contemporary as well. Yami at the front desk was fantastic and was a pleasure to deal with. If you need a hotel just for the room near Toronto Airport this is a great choice. If you're looking for amenities and walking distance to activities there are better choices.
This is a long review. Please bear with me. Trip stay May 24-27th. Lovely decorated hotel a long walk away from the main drag, First time staying with this Brand and actually booked because it had a Wet n Dry Sauna in addition to pool and hot tub. For waterbaby me? A dream come true. Plus I could visit old friends, spend time with son n dil and take care of some business. I am a snowbird with a mailing address in the Toronto and actually reside in USA. Check in was weird. “Nav" insisted that it was hotel policy to take all my room charges up front plus incidentals. Making my bill a whopping 842. Up front. I found it weird as most hotels hold incidentals then you choose your method of paying but OK. I used two credit cards( This will come up later) We all decided to check out pool. Lovely group there made new friends. No towels. Called for towels 30 minutes later still no towel. So I went to front desk to ask for towels. Finally 7 upstairs towels were brought to pool with group of ten people already there. We left close to 11 no other towels ever came. Now the saunas. The dry worked fabulously but wet kept bugging us. It was wet n cold with some steam near the ceiling but cold, clammy tile everywhere else. The buttons outside kept saying it was building temp but never went past 80 without shutting down. Knowing that older saunas sometimes have a silver square button that releases steam I searched in the sauna and casually smacked it with the back of my hand. Yep I burnt the crap out of my hand. The night auditor gave me some ice for my hand as I was leaving to meet friends at midnight. I ended up STAYING with friends the entire weekend eating pain pills and keeping my hand in cold water. The lovebirds enjoyed my room. Pfft! To add insult to injury the hotel charged both cards for the stay. That was not resolved until a week after my stay. The night auditor said the Manager would call me. No calls yet. Day 10 and well..I STILL have no use of my Right hand. It looks like it will scar and since the hotel has offered no compensation my kids are urging me to see my lawyers. My review. Great for just sleeping. Staff r friendly. You will be better served at the Marriott or Sheraton. DO NOT BE TEMPTED by the Saunas. Never got on their WIFI and I tried, or there would have been immediate pics on my social media. The rest of this week was in too much pain. Day 10 pic.
The best western premier is by far the best hotel where I stay in Toronto. I have tried them all and it is the only place where I really feel welcomed and at home. Check in staff is excellent as for the restaurant staff. Food is excellent.
This is a very nice hotel just south of the airport. Very clean and the rooms were above standard. They gave me an option for a view of the golf course which was nice and quiet. I will definitely return when in the area.
Definitely will return...time & time again. Every stay (with 2wks parking) has worked out well for us. The staff are friendly & very helpful. I'll mention how front desk staff, Yammi, saved the day for us. After making reservations several months before our stay, we arrived at this BWP. Unfortunately the booking had been made(my mistake) for a different location. Yammi was able to get a room for us with 2 wks parking as well as cancel the other booking. She also set us reservations on our return. Could have hugged her! The shuttle bus driver was very attentive, caring & sincere. No chance of us staying elsewhere. They have our return business! Yes, you can hear the airplanes, but that comes with being close to the airport. Didn't use the dining room this visit.
When we started traveling (25 years ago), there were lots of Toronto Airport Hotels offering 'Park/Stay/Fly, now they are few and far between. You can seldom get a parking pkg. with more than 8 days parking, extra days $18 - $20/day. However we found a Hotel where you are treated so very well. From the Reception Staff (they are marvelous) to the Restaurant Staff to the Chambermaids to the Staff working around the Hotel to the Shuttle Bus driver - they are all amazing! They make you feel like you are their number 1 priority. If I had to offer a negative, it would be that the small shuttle van be cleaned and any more than 4 people, it's really crowded! The Hotel itself is very clean and very well maintained; our room was immaculate, beds & pillows so very comfortable. I could go on about this Hotel, suffice it to say we will be returning to it when we are off on our winter vacation.
check in was great , check out not so much --- too busy training another staff member -- small room with large shower --- room was clean but on our floor (3) lots of noise at midnight till 1:45 am with door slamming, loud talking laughing in the hallway then more door slamming --- great location for overnight stay to connect with another flight ---- our shuttle drivers were very good and helpful but the van needs to be cleaned inside ---- restaurant on site with friendly service , food okay --- no complementary breakfast that we were aware of ---- not a premier hotel in our view
Though we live in Michigan, we often fly out of Toronto when the price is half that of Detroit Metro. We book a Park, Sleep, Fly.. We drive to the hotel, park, catch the airport shuttle, fly to Europe that night. Then we return, catch the airport shuttle to the hotel, spend one night before driving 4 hours home to just north of Detroit. This was the best hotel we've used for this option. Staff was so friendly and helpful. We did not use the restaurant, but there are two others that you can walk or drive to very close. The room was really comfortable and the bed was great. This hotel is also closer to the airport than others we have used. Plus, the price is a good value. We will definitely use this hotel again and would recommend it.
Had a reservation booked before our holiday and was told parking was not an issue to leave the vehicle. Upon check-in was told the vehicle could only stay one night as no room for extended parking. Explained that I had asked prior to booking and was told not a problem which the clerk said that could not be, essentially calling me a liar and kept insisting I was lying. Asked to speak to a manager and was told none on duty. Front desk staff (2) were very rude and extremely confrontational and unhelpful in every way. Wrote to Best Western hotels head office and never even received a response. WORST hotel experience and chain EVER! Had to go elsewhere. Thanks to Sheraton Four Points for bailing us out and providing excellent service and care.
Third time staying here, and this hotel is always a class act. I use the park & fly service and stay overnight when I return. Good covered parking, although it can get a bit full at times. Excellent service at the desk and the shuttle is quite convenient. Very little waiting. Rooms are great, spacious, comfortable and quiet. If you arrive back early enough, the bar/restaurant may still be open. Breakfast service in the restaurant is always friendly and the food is excellent.
Want to say thank you to all staff members for the best service I've had at this hotel so far! Spent the week there. Had breakfast and dinner every night too. All was excellent and I look forward to my next stay. Keep up the dedication and commitment to great service.
Great service, friendly staff, clean, comfortable, quiet and close to airport. Great and quick check-in and check-out experience. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Wireless internet is fast and efficient. Well situated. Always enjoy my stay.
Beautiful clean rooms. $10 for parking a day, its covered parking garage. Breakfast included with is nice. Enjoyed property a lot. there was a lot of noise in the hall at night, and nothing seemed to be done about that. It ruined our stay as we couldn't rest from 2am-5am.
We booked our hotel stay for the end of the trip when we knew we would be arriving back in Toronto at 0145. The day we departed we checked in for when we got back, left the car in covered parking (thank goodness since it snowed while we were away) and got the shuttle to the airport. We were given a number to call for the shuttle when we returned and at 0230 in the morning were picked up and taken to the hotel where the night clerk speedily checked us in and gave us late check out. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and their service.
We arrived at hotel night before our flight. Parked our vehicle in enclosed parking garage. Check-in was fast and so friendly. Hotel was very clean and the room was good with comfy beds. Had drinks and dinner in the lounge/restaurant and the waitress was also very friendly and helpful and food and drinks good. Took shuttle to airport the following morning. Shuttle was on time and shuttle driver very nice and helpful. We phoned for the shuttle when we got back a week later and didn't have to wait too long before he showed up to pick us up. Arrived back at hotel and picked up our vehicle and headed back home. Really enjoyed this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Check in was great the lady at the front desk was so friendly. Airport shuttle was quick and on the way home we called for pick up and they arrived within a half hour.
Booked on three hours notice when we found our flight connection out of Toronto was cancelled. They picked us up and the desk staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Brunch in the restaurant the next morning was marginal. Bacon and eggs were good but the eggs benny was very poor. They were good enough to transport us to the airport and back to see if we could access our luggage (no joy). Room and simple and clean. On the second day of our storm stay, Toronto had power outages. Make sure to ask for extra blankets as our room had electric heat. By the morning of our third day, the electricity was back on. The desk staff helped us identify a local mall where purchased some essentials. On the morning of the fourth day we were able to fly out. This facility was very friendly and accommodating, not luxurious but clean and recently renovated.
Stayed at this hotel the night before our flight. We had the park sleep and fly package, which was a good deal. The check in was fast, room was modern and very comfortable with the king size bed and great shower. Microwave and fridge in the room. Hotel is right under the flight path, but we did hear hardly anything. Check out was fast too. Food in the restaurant is nothing special and pricey as are the drinks at the bar. Service was good. Reserved a spot on the shuttle in the morning, it was on time and the driver was friendly. Coming back we called and the shuttle was there in 15 min. very help full driver. Parking in the garage was a challenge as it was almost full. We found a very tight spot at the very top of the garage which is not covered, and after our trip it took a lot of going back and forward to get out of the garage as more cars were looking for a spot or also trying to get out. Wonder if there is more parking space available for if the garage is full.
Nice & friendly front desk staff. Very welcoming. Rooms are recently renovated. Not a fan of the shower head and the shower. The shower was either too hot or too cold. The free shuttle is always nice. Too bad breakfast wasn't served earlier than 7 in Sunday's, we couldn't take advantage of it as we needed to leave at 7 for our flight.
We have use Bestwestern rewards to book this hotel before our flight in the next morning. A good hotel to stay before your flight. Coffee in the lobby. Gym and indoor pool. You need to reserve and pay a fee if you want to leave your car in the hotel or you can leave your car at th park and fly nearby. No breafast provide. Shuttles to the airport are prompt.
Where to start? We are long time Best Western Hotel guests and typically make BW's our hotel of choice. 1) Called for shuttle pick up while waiting for our luggage. I was placed on hold for over 5 minutes and had the pleasure of a recording tell me, over and over, the hotel was 5 minutes from the airport. When the desk clerk finally took my call he told me to call back when we left the luggage area. I tried to inquire about where to meet the shuttle or where a courtesy phone may be to make that call, but was told to look for a pay phone and just call back. We found an information kiosk at the airport and they had a courtesy phone with a code for the hotel. Spoke to the hotel desk clerk and requested the shuttle. We were told to wait by pole 37 which we did for over 20 minutes. So much for being 5 minutes from the airport like the recording kept repeating. 2) After a long day of travelling we were hungry and thirsty, so we headed to the lounge/restaurant. Here is where the comedy started. - The POS system was down, so the waitress/bartender/bus person had to calculate everything by hand. Good thing she was decent at math and was not over run with customers. Probably about dozen or so people. I did feel for her though and she kept her composure the whole time. - Because POS was down, we could not charge to our room. So much for using the $55 in BW reward cards we had acquired in the last few months. That was disappointing. - Wanted to order Fish & Chips, but apparently they were sold out. Picked the steak sandwich. It was decent. Hubby had the gumbo soup which he said was delicious. His chicken parmigiana was just OK. - After dinner we stuck around to watch the hockey game and enjoy a few drinks. Well, they ran out of Canadian Club rye after 2 drinks. Switched to Crown Royal. Apparently, the price switched from $8.75 to $12.00/ drink which we did not know until the bill had been hand calculated. Is it our fault they ran out? Felt ripped off. - More patrons came to the restaurant and were told they could order, but the meal they wanted did not come with salsa, as they ran out. Who runs out of salsa when you have quesadillas and nachos on the menu? 3) Final straw occurred around 3:00 a.m. when a very loud family of 4-5 checked in to the room next to us. We heard them coming down the hallway and unfortunately were given the room right next to us. We were rudely awoken and had to call down to ask for them to be quiet or for a new room for us. This was taken care of in about 15-20 minutes. I understand this is an airport hotel with guests arriving and departing at all hours, but why give them a room right next to other guests when the hotel was not near capacity? Not sure whether to chalk everything up to a full moon or it being April Fools Eve, but this stay was definitely a comedy of errors. Most of it we tried to laugh off. The hotel in general is very nice. Recently remodeled with clean, comfortable rooms. We enjoyed our free breakfast for being Diamond members. Service was good and the majority of staff were friendly and helpful. Not sure if we would stay here again though.
I booked this hotel on someone recommendations and this is going to be my go to place from now on. We go away every winter and the biggest plus was the covered parking. We have a large truck and there was no problem fitting it in. We stayed after our trip so we parked, paid and caught the shuttle to the airport the week before. They have two large vans that shuttle you to the airport and it was excellent. It was the first time the driver actually dropped us off right at the counters for our airline. They always ask but then you never seem to get dropped off at the right spot but they did. On our return we got in at 11:00 and had our luggage around midnight. I called as we were walking to the front and they said they would be 20 minutes. They were actually there in 10 which was fantastic. It's a very quick drive from the airport as the hotel is located up Carlingview Drive so they don't have to come near the busy Airport / Dixon Road. Check in was great and we were in our extremely comfortable bed by shortly after 1:00am. We were with another couple and I had asked for us to be close by each other. We were right across the hall and they put us at the end so it was really quiet. First time ever that someone getting up at 3:00 to catch an early flight didn't wake me. The rooms are fresh, modern, clean and well appointed. There was coffee, tea and water available in the lobby too.
Overall satisfied with the experience of staying at the BWP. Lobby was mainly manned by 1 person every day I was there, which caused line ups. Did not appreciate that. Room was clean and modern though. Totally acceptable for a short stay.
What more can I say...really...the front desk staff will make you feel right at home immediately...Yami (pronounced pajamas)...Leanna...Sahari are 3 names that come to mind ...very clean rooms with more than adequate amenities...the cleaning staff honor the "Do Not Disturb" sign...unlike so many other hotels that I stay at...which is necessity for me quite often...a Keurig coffeemaker with sufficient coffee is provided...as an added bonus the breakfast cook makes the "BEST" poached eggs consistently...my only complaint is that there are very few TV channels to choose from...a sports channel or two would be nice
My husband and another couple stayed here at the end of our trip. We parked here and took the shuttle over to the airport. The parking is covered so that is a great choice when we deal with snow. We came in late and the shuttle was there in 10 minutes so really great service. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. As per our request they kept us together in fact they had us at the end of the hall so it was very quiet in the morning. We will for sure stay at this hotel again. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and fun.
Great, clean, small rooms for the hotel price & conveniently located to the airport. Not great for bar & restaurant, but close to all kinds of restaurants .Easy access being that it's not a huge hotel & convenience of long term parking.
Hello and as always thank you for reading my review. My husband and I decided to stay at this hotel the night before our flight to save us from having to get up at the crack of dawn to travel 2hrs. The location of the hotel is a little confusing you can not see it very well. When we entered the hotel the lady at the front desk was very nice but informed us that since we had booked through expedia that we did not have the option to keep our car at the hotel for the week (which was the reason we booked here) so be warned to check ahead because we had to park our car somewhere else and make alternate plans. The hotel itself if fairly dated but our room was fairly nice. Comfy/squeaky bed, soft sheets and the bathroom was quite big with a nice big shower/warm water. We went for dinner at the restaurant and the food was pretty good for the price. I had the prime rib burger which was very juicy and my husband had the chicken Caesar wrap. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodated my nutrition concerns. Other than the parking fiasco our stay was good but we will probably choose another hotel next time. Cheers!
Best hotel close to Pearson Airport. Amazing staff whom make you feel at home with clean updated rooms and exceptional service. This is my go to hotel in Toronto as close to everything with many restaurants within walking distance
The price was very reasonable, friendly staff & good sized room. Our king size bed was very comfortable, room was exceptionally clean & it's very quiet. Free parking. Not that it mattered but their in-room phone didn't work. We had to call the front desk with our cell. We told them but they didn't even acknowledge so I'm thinking they don't use them anymore. Lol I mean who really does!
I was only there from early evening to 5:30am so did not experience all the hotel has to offer, but my experiece was good. The transfer was quick and reception staff friendly and efficient. My room was very comfortable.
When we arrived at the hotel and tried to reserve the airport shuttle back to the airport the next morning many were already booked up and we had to book one for 5am, a couple of hours earlier than intended. The hotel room was lovely, the bed was so comfy, even if we were only in it for about 4 hours!
We needed a place to stay one night waiting our connecting flight.so we choose a hotel near the airport with hotel shutle for more comfortable way to go there and back to the airport.we didn' t like that nowhere is written that you have to call the shutle.so seeing shuttels coming and going one may think that they are circulating automaticaly.the reception stuff were very friendly and helpful.the restaurant is offereng food which is realy not tasty and you can not have breakfast before 6 am.the room was cold when we arrived.and the place need ‘ face lift'.
We only stayed one night as our flight came in really late. Absolutely beautiful and modern hotel room with the most comfortable bed ever!! If we didn't have a long drive home, we would've stayed longer! We'll definitely stay here again!
Way too much money for an outdated room that is extremely small. Not comfortable and not a warm feeling at all. Front desk staff hid behind a wall and every time we needed them we had to yell for them. Will not come back here at all. Will not recommend.
Stayed there before our flight to Dominican Republic. Rooms are clean and spacious. Front desk staff were very helpful and pointed out the fact we could get an express breakfast in the AM as we were leaving before breakfast started. Covered parking for a week this time of year was a bonus but it does fill up fast. Close to the airport and shuttle service both to the airport and on return was prompt. The shuttle bus does need a little TLC both mechanically and inside.
Stayed at this airport hotel on Jan.20 and Jan.30. Price included 15 days free covered parking. Room had King bed and was clean. A little noisy with planes overhead but was fine for the brief time there. Free shuttle was prompt arriving at airport upon return. Has mini fridge and microwave. Would recommend for park stay fly.
A bit expensive for what it is...a bit over rated in that is a 'Premier' BW. Didn't find it that different to a 'normal 'BW' - that said, Parking Good, Staff Good and Room Okay. Gave us a later check out 13:00 without charging which was nice of them.
This hotel serves its exact purpose when your flying out of Toronto and leaving your car while away. Check in is fast and easy. The rooms are modern and clean. Tv's have a hookup panel so you can watch usb tv shows or movies you bring if you like. Shuttle service is quick as they are directly across the highway. Coming back when you call shuttle its about a 10-15 min wait is all. Overall a great stay as this was my second visit. The prices have jumped like many things but with 8 days parking not bad. Price jumped about 80% since my 2016 visit.
We stayed here several times when this hotel was the Indigo. This was our first stay since it became a BWP. Not sure how it rates premier status. It has been spruced up a bit but overall I didn't see a ton of change. We always liked it before and nothing has changed in that regard. Rooms still comfy and clean, front desk services were great, and very prompt shuttle service. You do have to call on your return for a pickup, they give you a card with the number and p/u location. They will also book your shuttle to the airport. The on site restaurant was ok, convenient although there are places walking distance. Parking is covered...which is a big reason we always stayed here :) there is a super 15 day package! If you like planes, you're at the end of a runway and it's great to watch, and not noisy. We would certainly return here. Very handy to the airport!
Our daughter is getting married in Mexico so here we are at the BWP. The rooms were ok and Daria at the front desk was helpful. The restaurant was a disappointment. We had 10 people for drinks and dinner. The food was ok. The service was unacceptable and substandard. Hopefully the staff will read this and improve. But, we had a great time and better then a day at work.
Hotel was close to airport which is why I chose it. Had an early flight next morning. Only downfall : We waited for the shuttle after we landed for an hour ! There are apparently 2 different waiting spots and we were at the wrong one - - so make sure you're at post 36 (I think it was and not 6). I called and the other couple called and they were told post 6, and I was told 36...When we got to the hotel after 10pm of course the restaurant was closed - so we had to walk to the closest restaurant at 1030pm for food as we didn't want pizza pops or a dodgy sandwich (what they offered in their fridge in the lobby) Room & bathroom was nice, the heat didn't heat up all throughout the night and the floor was freezing.
We stayed here after a trip to Grenada and arrived around midnight. Reception was quick, efficient and welcoming and showed that as Diamond loyalty members, we were valued. Our 4th floor room was modern and very comfortable, with all therequired amenities, The king size bed was excellent, the bathroom clean, modern and very functional, and the flat screen tv, in room electronic safe, mini-refrigerator, etc and toiletries all made the room ideal. The room was very quiet and we enjoyed a sound sleep. An a la carte breakfast was served in the main floor restaurant. The service was excellent....friendly, professional and fast. The food was very good, and an individual carafe of coffee was left at the table. There is a lap pool and gym, but we did not use either. Wifi was fast. This hotel offers paid covered parking which is most useful on a snowy evening! At checkout, we were greeted by Yami, who again made us feel valued and important. She did an excellent job of representing and itemizing the merits of this fine hotel and ensured that we will again visit this fine facility. This hotel is a 5 minute drive from the Terminals.
We stayed a night before we flew out, hotel was clean. The pool was small and the restaurant was cold and uninviting. Staff were helpful. However I expected a little more from the premier title. The rooms were quiet and I did not hear the noise from the incoming flights.
It was a quick over night stay in Toronto out by the airport. Shuttle service was quick. The convenience of staying by the airport was good. We took the UP train downtown from the airport and it was simple and easy!
We did not originally look to stay here but with the traffic that we encountered on our drive home for Christmas, this is where we ended up and it was a pleasant surprise! Room was spacious, bed was comfortable and I usually have a hard time sleeping in hotels. We had our dog with us and it was only a $20 pet fee which I find cheap compared to some hotels. Breakfast was included and it was good as well. It was nice to have a few options off a menu rather than the normal continental style. Parking is $10 dollars. I found it a little odd that there was a fee for parking so far outside of downtown Toronto but I have paid much worse so it wasn't a big deal. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.
We checked into the BW Premier on Dec. 3, 2017 for our overnight stay prior to flying to Cuba the next morning. AS Platinum members we were given a snack pack with juices and treats as well as being offered a free breakfast the next morning. As we were departing very early and would miss breakfast, we were offered muffins and juice in place of breakfast. This was also offered to our friends that we were travelling with. The price of our room also included one week indoor parking. The 2 young ladies at the check-in desk were extremely helpful. Later in the evening we had drinks at the lobby bar and were served by a young lady named Ita who was very pleasant too. Overall the 4 of us enjoyed our stay. The rooms were well appointed and clean. The shuttle bus to the airport only stops at this hotel and is very convenient. Will definitely stay here again before our next vacation.
We were greeted by excellent receptionist/desk clerk who organized our stay as well as our shuttle service. Since it was Dec 25th, she also asked had we required somewhere to eat as most places were closed and made recommendations on places that were open. The shuttle service was great back & forth to airport. The rooms were very clean/beds were great & breakfast was exceptional. Overall great stay--Highly recommended!
Stayed here to be near the airport. The hotel is a four minute drive from the airport. The hotel has a very reliable shuttle service to the airport, we used it twice. I would describe the hotel as generic. The rooms were clean as was the lobby. Rooms were small. The staff was available when we needed them to be. No one was overly enthusiastic or especially friendly, which was ok. The attached restaurant was mediocre. The hotel is not within walking distance of any other restaurants. Cab fares were very pricey as the cab drivers can charge whatever they feel like ($22 for the 4 minute drive from the airport). So, location of hotel is ok but I'm sure there are better options especially if guest is relying on public transportation. We stayed for two nights. The cleaning staff did not replace our face clothes or towels after the first night. Rooms were not very sound proof as I heard elevator noises starting very early in the morning. Hotel has a small parkade and charges $10 a night. It looks like hotel rents lot out to travelers so parking was minimal. The bed was comfy, room was cozy and clean. I wouldn't mind staying here again but would likely look for sometime different if I were to stay in the area again.
Well as a Diamond Elite member with Best Western you can guess that I frequent them a lot. My experience at this one in particular fell short in the expectation level. The room I had seemed very crammed. The TV was offset from the bed and had no side adjustment, squeaky bed, toilet tank under the counter in the bathroom, the non-functioning climate control (room was a sweat box), to the....wait for it....parking fee! Think about it - an airport hotel that charges for parking. Most hotels offer free parking and for week or 10 days as an incentive to attract customers. Not this one. Nice hotel though, glad I wasn't there any longer than the 5 hours I was there unfortunately. I have stayed in Best Western Plus hotels that were far more superior in layout, décor and value.
Hotel close to airport and the front desk staff are amazing, especially the Front Desk night staff, I think his name was Allan. It was so nice to see a smiling face at 2am upon check in. Rooms are super clean and modern and the beds are very comfortable. We will definitely stay again. Also we were away for 2 weeks and we left our vehicle in the above ground covered parking. Was nice to come back to vehicles with no snow on them :)
Great big clean room, a very comfortable stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great shuttle service to and from the airport. Convenient restaurant on site with super attentive staff. Free on site parking.
I have stayed at this hotel several times when flying out. This hotel is close to the airport. And there is a shuttle that runs every half hour. The rooms are nice and super clean. The beds are very comfortable. There is an on site restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is good and the price is average. Now what brings me back to this hotel........The Staff. I find the staff at this hotel are amazing. Whether it be reception, housekeeping, the restaurant......the staff go that extra mile to make you feel right at home. During the years I have stayed at many hotels at the airport. This hotel is the best by far!
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room super clean and surprisingly well equipped for the price. Overall it was a very nice experience and the rest was well needed due to work. I will be back when on business.
Room wasn't very big. Not a fan of the cheap flooring that was installed. For a Best Western hotel I was expecting a little more, such as larger room and more upscale décor. But I was not upset based on price point.
Good hotel, close to airport, great caring staff, comfortable clean rooms with good internet service. Shuttle service to airport, restaurants at walking distance and restaurant on site. Well equipped meeting rooms with good service.
We decided almost last minute to stay a night before an early morning flight and chose this property. It was EXCELLENT - everything from the check in, to the room, parking/shuttle service... all great! When we arrived back, the shuttle arrived very quick and we popped inside and grabbed a coffee to go before re the drop be home. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks BW!!
Very clean hotel. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Great spot to rest after a long flight. The bed was comfortable. Restaurant had an excellent selection for breakfast and was reasonably priced. I would advise this as a good place to stay pre or post flight.
An excellent comfortable hotel, excellent food in restaurant, good transport to and from airport, covered parking for vehicle although access to hotel was initially confusing. Would stay here again. Also note easy access to 401/427
This hotel is good for an overnight stay and has great access to the airport but that's as far as I would go with it. Some of the staff are hard to understand and coffee is sub par. The park and fly they offer is very reasonable and cars are covered.
We were very impressed with this hotel. We liked the location, decor, amenities, an especially with the staff. Allan at reservations was friendly and helpful in booking a parking package and an additional room. Daria at check-in was delightful. She acknowledged our gold status and gave us bags with drinks and snacks. The server, Sade , in the restaurant, The Flight Path, was outstanding. She was friendly, efficient and provided great service. The food was delicious, especially the pizza that Sade suggested. The BEST part for us was the covered parking and the shuttle service. The shuttle is a van that exclusive to this hotel. The shuttle to the airport was on time as booked and was at the airport within 15 min. after we phoned. We have been travelling out of this airport for 50 years and this is definitely the best shuttle service we have ever had.
Would have liked to have spent more time at the hotel but our return air Canada flight was cancelled by a day, yet managed to get a late check out. Hotel was accommodating with that. Unfortunately, unable to partake breakfast as family and I slept in and missed it
Excellent Hotel! All staff members were so kind and helpful. The shuttle was fast and efficient. Restaurant was good, food came out pretty fast. If you're looking for a park and fly hotel this is the best it gets in the airport area. Worth the price. I look forward to returning. Thank you BWP!!
Check in was fast and friendly. The lounge was decent for a drink and snacks before bed. Comfy big bed and great bathroom with walk-in shower. I really liked the covered parking as it was not a nice night to be outside. We left early and did not get to have breakfast but I would definitely stay again...
All staff at this hotel are so friendly and efficient. Room is bright and spacious and shuttle service is excellent. The front desk was extremely friendly. The restaurant was just as good. Food came out fast and hot. Will definitely return and recommend.
Hotel is clean with a free shuttle to and from the airport. Very good for an overnight if you have to transfer in Toronto airport. I would highly recommend and stay here again if you need to be by the airport. Hotel appears to be recently remodeled so it's in nice condition. Rooms are very clean with newly remodeled rooms. Bathroom is in excellent condition, and the shower was great. Internet was of good speed. Can't complain!
My main reasons I booked this Best Western property was the free bus shuttle to Pearson, bonus miles with my frequent flyer program and the funkyness of the room. I flew into Pearson and no problem with the shuttle. Great bed, comfy bed, plenty of hot water and great wifi. All hotel staff I interacted with were very professional and helpful.
Really nice room. Friendly staff. Bathroom was Brand new. Bed was really comfortable as well. Location is close to Arizona grill, keg tickets, Boston pizza and lots of resurants in the walking distance. Will stay again.
This hotel is very central to Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Yorkdale etc., etc... We have stayed at this location many times and will continue to do so. We left our car while traveling and felt very safe and confident about doing so. The beds are very comfortable and the staff are terrific!! Breakfast was very good.
This hotel has everything I'm looking for. It's close to YYZ, close to my office, has a fitness center and pool, in-room coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer (with cool shot), iron, etc. And a good value as well.
Stayed here for one night before an early flight in the morning. The Staff were friendly and check in was a breeze, they asked me upon checking in if I wanted to book the shuttle bus to the airport and put me down for a time. The room was clean, bed comfortable and there were great amenities available. The shuttle bus in the morning was on time and fast. Would definitely stay here again.
Located just by the airport and the international center this is probably one of the best place to stay. Hotel is well decorated, staff is great and joyfull. Breakfast is a menu on weekdays that you can choose from and a buffet on weekends (from last time I was there on the weekend) and they are excellent. Just waiting for them to get electric outlets for cars and they'll be #1 destination as far as I am concerned.
Arriving in the middle of the night it was nice to have a pick up service available with just a phone call. The staff on arrival were very inviting and thanked me for my loyalty to Best Western. Over all a great hotel, but they do charge for your breakfast.
The hotel staff is very helpful.Hotel it self is clean as well..however, rooms from inside needs a bit upgrade.may be its time to change the beds and put a new flooring.Internet is a bit slow too.I love gheir staff...all of them are lovely ppl and really take care of you.
From the free shuttle service to the airport to the park & fly rate for extended trips, this hotel is hard to beat. Rooms are tidy & comfortable, breakfast & dinner service available and good staff interaction makes your stay here a gtreat.
If somehow you need to be close to Pearson Airport, this is a very good option. Large and comfortable room with wonderful beds and a spacious bathroom, good amenities and a life saver microwave, haha. By the way, they sell frozen food at the hotel, if it happens that you are too tired to go anywhere. Even being close to the airport, rooms are very silent. Only thing you must have in mind is that the hotel is located in a place without many attractions. Far from downtown attractions and there are no good places to eat on a walking distance. Besides this, is a very good option if you need or want to be close to the airport.
This hotel has newly refurbished rooms, a free shuttle that runs about 22 hours per day, excellent service from every employee we talked to, comfortable beds, and is conveniently close to the airport, yet surprisingly quiet. We will stay here again if we need a good hotel in this area.
The hotel is in an industrial area approx. 10 minutes via free shuttle from the airport (YYZ). The hotel in in the process of updating the rooms. We were given an updated room with a large walk in shower and nice tiling. The room has a small fridge and coffee/tea maker. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean with no carpeting on the floors!!!! There is a complimentary breakfast starting at 6am. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Rather cold and indifferent welcome at reception. Close to the airport and good roofed parking is available for a nightly fee. Rooms are normal size, not too small (we were three in one room). Beds were quite good actually but the walls are paper-thin, we heard the neighbour's TV throughout the night. In the morning the constant arrival bell of the elevators close by made sure we wouldn't oversleep. Breakfast was a mess. For each morning we had vouchers for the three of us, but apparently only one glass of was juice included (not per customer, but one glass per morning) which left us perplexed and the staff struggling to find an excuse (we ended up paying for the extra juices). Breakfast was small tasteless portions, uncaringly prepared and slowly served by staff that made you want to leave as quickly as possible. Overall, a typical airport hotel with better-than-average beds but noisy halls and a terrible breakfast experience. Can't recommend for more than one night (and skip the breakfast).
Last minute trip and I arrived very late (midnight or about). I found this Best Western Premier... Big expecting!!! Cold welcome by the young man, cleanliness in the room was so so (all I could see while brushing my teeth was the dust on the countertop backsplash eeehhh!) Ah and also the smell of sweat on the pillow yuk yuk! Why not asking to change room? Well after a 6h of driving all I wanted was to sleep. I was really exhausted. The morning after there was nobody at the reception to have a copy of my bill (I took the time to go pick up my car and when i came back there was a nice lady who could help me to conclude this sad stay). Overall experience: Very deceived... Still searching the meaning of the Premier. Will I go back there: nope.. unless it is the only place available within a 100km area! But hey! at least I found a place to sleep right!?
The location was excelant covered parking rooms were a good size with a fridge and microwave and coffee machine staff was really nice hotel was very clean with nice toiletries check in was easy good view of planes but no noise
Our party selected this establishment due to its proximity to the airport, the free shuttle service to and from the airport, it honours the "military" rate discount and the free 14 day option for a Park & Fly vacation. This hotel was easy to find off the 401. The lobby was well lit and clean. The Reception staff was friendly and informative. Our room reservation was on record and honoured as to our specific requirements. Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was well laid out and had all amenities required for a pleasant stay. The bar area was clean, well lit and serviced by friendly staff. There is a restaurant on site yet we did not visit as we had other plans. As we were leaving quite late in the day, we had no problem securing a shuttle to the airport. Our driver was efficient and got us to the airport in a timely manner. This an be said on our return as all we had to do was contact the hotel upon our return to Canada and the driver arrived in a short time (we called at 0200hrs). All in all we will return to the establishment for future Park & Fly vacations and we found it to be a good value and pleasant stay.
We stayed here for three nights on arriving in Canada Rooms very clean with plenty of toiletries Used small gym and pool which were ok Staff helpful and friendly Good shuttle bus service which we used every day.look forward to returning here at the end of our holiday
I purchased the stay and park for 14 days and I was impressed all the way. Easy hotel to find and quick and courteous on the check-in. Shuttle to the airport was easy and fast and the return shuttle pick up was just as good.
Very noisy room but great staff. Room needs to be better sound proofed. Hot tub broken, very few bubbles. Staff very friendly and nice. Quick shuttle to airport with good driver. Very expensive night at hotel for what we got. Poor value for your money but adequate stay.
Comfortable and nice decor! Resturant right on site and good menu selevtion! Easy to get to from Barrie Ontario! No hesitation to return! Great for early departure as shuttle was prompt and helpful with luggage!
Convenient and would stay again. It is a quiet hotel and 5 minutes from convenience stores, highway - So location is a big advantage. Would recommend to anyone for its great value for money. Has a decent restaurant for a quick meal
would recommend highly, central, close to rental car area, close to airport and restaurants.staff very friendly. hotel was also clean. the swimming pool and jacuzzi were very clean. the work out area was also clean.
Room was recently renovated. Modern with walk in shower. Comfortable bed, quiet sleep. Only downfall was having to take different elevator to top floor. Great spot for plane watchers - roof access to take pictures is perfect. Right off the runway at Pearson but little plane noise. Free coffee and newspaper. I am used to free breakfast at BW but my rate did not include it. Rate was good so I could not complain. Pool and hot tub were lovely and the staff was sooooo helpful and nice. Would definitely return.
I stayed here prior to an early morning flight from Pearson. I was able to leave my car until my return a week later. The cost was modest. Staff, room and shuttle were all excellent as was pick-up at the end of my trip.
This hotel is great. Location, room design and amenities, house keeping and front desk staff are all great. But the breakfast staff and experience is terrible and in serious need of training in customer service and efficiency. Tables are left un-bused for way too long. Twice during my week long stay, I ended up setting up and wiping down my own table. Or they forget to add utensils, salt, pepper etc.. After the second day in a row they got my order completely wrong, I ended up only ordering cereal and toast. I figured it's pretty hard to screw that up! Staff is slow and seem nonchalant about their job and role as an important part of the overall customer experience. Actually, because of the poor breakfast experience I ended up having dinners elsewhere the entire week. I did want to risk room service either out of concern for the quality and cleanliness! Also, I must say that the coffee is absolutely terrible. So strong and bitter tasting it tastes more like old coffee that has been warmed up or left pon the burner too long. Plus I really do not think the coffee carafes they put on the tables get properly cleaned after daily usage. On day one I returned my coffee carafe because the coffee was cold. They brought it back and it still had the coffee drip stains from before. Server did not bother wiping it clean. The next day, same thing happened. So I stopped having coffee there the rest of the week. Guests sitting close by agreed as well, that the coffee is terrible. Food service management really need to pay attention and train/replace staff. Another weird thing is that they only get the daily newspaper delivered after 10am!! So the only papers available to guests in the morning if the old news from the day before! Hereto, serious guest experience management training is needed!! Bottom line, I might stay there again because of location, room amenities and convenient indoor parking, but not for the food services!
Generally OK but restaurant staff were slow in some aspects! Room had numerous problems that obviously hadn't been reported in the past! Check in staffer not that caring, check out staff were great! Had to walk baggage up and down 3 parkade levels as access to hotel doors was not available... Front door access only to hotel regardless of what level or room you were in!
I would highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly staff, comfortable bed and not to far from downtown Toronto. Room had every amenity that I was looking for which was the fridge and microwave. Bathroom shower was very spacious.
always a good place to stay, whether flying in or out, or going to the West or North side of Toronto. Great reception, nice up to date rooms and lots of restaurants and other places within 5 minutes distance
This hotel is just off of the end of the runway east of Pearson Airport. Hotel relatively well sound insulated as we were staying on 4th floor facing highway and airport and noise did not really bother us. Hotel had a small pool, water was cold, hot tub with jets that didn't work, small dry and wet sauna and shower with no soap dispenser. There was a lot of chlorine in hot tub so really not that enjoyable and could only stay in for about 10 mins. They are still renovating some parts of hotel and except for the odd noise, wasn't noticeable. Hotel does NOT have free parking, it is $10per night, does NOT have Free Breakfast, though there is water dispenser, coffee and tea in lobby. Business area and lounge. Free wifi throughout hotel. Large flat screen tv in room with microwave, mini fridge and kureig coffee maker. Airport shuttle which we didn't use. Would recommend to all for those flying in and out of YYZ.
Prices reasonable, clean rooms , good decor. Some issues with the restaurant, fruit fly problem, also gave us muffins with raw batter inside, potential health issue if raw eggs used in batter. Would stay there again.
Tucked away a few kilometers from Pearson, this hotel has friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms at an affordable price. We stayed at this hotel as we were leaving on a flight early the next morning. As an added bonus, we were able to leave iur car at the hotel for the week we were away and the price was nominal.
Came to the big city by train not by plane so getting courtesy shuttle was out of the question. Period !! They didn't care or offer any alternative other than go to and from train station by cab. $$ to us.
After reading some mixed reviews I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Lovely lady on reception checked us in with no fuss at all . Decor in hotel. Little tired but certainly couldn't complain about the comfy bed and the hot shower . Young waitress in the restaurant serving breakfast really friendly . What more can you ask for in a stopover hotel . We would def return .
My husband and myself decided to stay here the night before our departure to Cuba for our honeymoon. We parked our truck on the 4th floor of the parking garage at the end of the row closest to the path where vehicles drive around each level. When we arrived back our vehicle had been stolen!! The young ladies working the desk were very polite and sympathetic regarding our situation, gave us a sandwich and drink while waiting for our ride and even offered us a free night to stay if we couldn't get a ride home. The part that bothers me is that we were told that they do have cameras in parking area but that there was not a manager on duty and only they could access the camera feed from previous days. Was told the manger would look into it the following day, myself or the police have not heard anything regarding what they may or may not have seen on the cameras. Room was clean and comfortable but not a great feeling returning and having vehicle gone and no access to see what may have happened! Will not stay again next time we travel
We recently spent two nights at the Best Western Premier Carlingview as we were awaiting a flight out of the Country. We stayed on Aug. 19 and Aug. 20 and departed on August 21, 2017. We stay quite often at this hotel and have never been disappointed. The staff are truly exceptional-Yammi, Sahiri and Daria were outstanding at the Front Desk. When we arrived Yammi treated us as if we were family and made sure everything went well - this was amazing since at that point she was extremely busy at the Front Desk dealing efficiently, effectively, and professionally with three sets of guests. The room staff was excellent and Veronica and the staff did a great job. Clean rooms and excellent service. We ate in the restaurant twice and both meals were excellent and Christina did a great job as our waitress. The secured parking was excellent- supervised and easily accessible. The Shuttle service to the Airport was also very efficient and on time and the driver was most pleasant and helpful. There are several nice restaurants in the area and many other amenities in the hotel. We will be staying in this hotel again in September and January and February. We are big fans of this hotel and appreciate the family atmosphere they have created. Julie and Bill Dodd
Rooms were updated, clean and spacious. Onsite restaurant had a variety and was reasonable. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool temp could have been a bit warmer. Would stay here again. Shuttle service to and from airport was prompt.
Highly recommend staying here if you are making a connection (particularly early morning) at Pearson and need to stay overnight and get up early to go to the airport. Many airline employees stay here because it's a clean, lovely spot, 5 minutes from the airport. It was recommended to me years ago by an airline captain!
We stayed overnight close to the airport, this location was ideal, we were worried with the Hotel being under the flight path but the rooms are wel insulated and we didn't,t notice the planes. room was great and the service even better, highly recommend
We stayed here for one night before flying to Victoria, BC. Very close the Pearson Airport. Parking is underground/covered. A bonus for Winter travellers. Our room was spacious and clean. The King size bed was comfortable and spacious..
The hotel is only a 5 minute drive by their shuttle to the airport. I parked my car here for a week in their covered garage which is on their property, maybe less than a minute walk. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room & bed were comfortable. I would have loved to eaten breakfast there, but we had an early flight. The shuttle was great both ways. It runs 24 hours/day and 7 days/week. We ate at the hotel restaurant because my wife did not want to go back out. We had Pizza, which was ok, but slow service. It took 2 hours from sitting down to leaving. I observed this woman working 4 different jobs, one of which was making & serving our Pizza. So, it was not all her fault. If I were to stay here again, I would pick a restaurant outside the hotel BEFORE I registered. That way, you do not have to go back out, and possibly losing a good parking space in their garage, and you avoid the slow service. Breakfast would not be a problem, that is always self-service. By the way, Breakfast begins at 0600. I liked the hotel, BUT $162 US seemed high, but it did include parking for a week, but my experience in the U.S. is this is included in your room, so I think it is high, but very convient. carlhistory
Room facilities were acceptable if unspectacular. Breakfast arrangements were poor with weak coffee. The hotel advertises free shuttle to the airport but this service is contracted to another provider. The service at the airport was very slow with a 40 minute wait after a telephone booking.
Excellent value, great rooms, helpful staff and very comfortable beds! Definitely a place to stay and have no worries about comfort or value for you money. An awesome Continental Breakfast is also offered!
I stayed at the hotel the night of 08.11. I used my iPad charger to charge my iPhone. When I checked out the next morning, I didn't realize it at the time, but I had taken the phone and left the charger. My friend called the hotel the next day to explain the situation, as I was already flying back home. The ultimate response was that housekeeping didn't have it and it was not in the room. I'm confident of three things: My own haste caused this issue, the charger did not "get up and walk away," and I never will stay at this or any Best Western property again. I think the integrity of the housekeeping staff certainly is at question here. Enjoy charging your device with MY charger, whoever you are!
Very accommodating facility... last minute booking. Clean room with a great skyline view. Liked the upgraded shower stall and brightly lit bathroom. Pleasant and cheerful hostesses in casual dining area. Unfortunately was not aware that buffet was only for tour groups. Hotel is close to airport
The airport shuttle was a treat and the driver certainly knew his way around the city when answering my questions. Front end staff were pleasant, friendly & helpful. The service at the bar nice and the food was actually pretty good. I liked that they chose to go with Local wine and although I didn't have a great selection to choose from it was pretty good.
Two hotels with the same name, huge mix up with hotel shuttle and staff were unsympathetic. Had to haul luggage 1 km down the steet to this hotel as they refused pickup. They offered no info as to what shuttle to get on. Both are Toronto Airport Carlingview Hotel. Staff were rude, uncaring. Ilana ilahoukd look for a new job, not in customer service.
Location and facilities were good. Room was very good with all the amenities. The restaurant could use an upgrade but the casual dining was convenient and not pricey. It took a while to catch the airport shuttle to the hotel. Had to call to get service. Jet path tended to be over the hotel but the noise was not too bothersome.
parking was extra,Breakfast wasn't included, the toilet didn't flush properly, 9am renovations on the floor above us, when we told staff they said sorry but banging still was happening at 12pm checkout
I want to start by acknowledging two good things about this hotel: The staff are excellent -- cheerful, friendly and competent. Also, my room, on the fifth floor, was modern and perfectly fine. The lobby, hallways and elevators, however, are worn and dowdy. Breakfast was normal and reasonably priced, but I didn't venture to try the ketchup. The common areas and restaurant are overdue for an update.
Option for extended parking is a great, especially given proximity and shuttle service to toronto airport. Room was decent, felt a bit dated and needed better cleaning. Pool indoor, clean and good for my 7 year old to burn off some energy before a long flight.
This hotel is close to the airport. We selected it because of that and it was rated fairly well. I booked 2 rooms. One of the rooms had a large bubble on the floor where the wood floor laminate was separated and formed a bubble! It would be tripped over if you did not see it. The so called restaurant was a joke. We expected to be able to get breakfast before having to go to the airport in the morning. Waited 30 min before getting lukewarm coffee. No menus were given because there was only one waitress. Many people were in the restaurant. We waited and then were told the waitress had quit! We had to leave to catch the flight! No apologies were given. I am still waiting to hear from that hotel. All the Best Western reps offered were some points that didn't even give me a free night. Very disappointing.
We chose this hotel for its proximity to Pearson International airport. Best Western came through. We had a chec in problem but this was the fault of Hotels.com. Apparently our reservation was not forwarded to B w. The check in staff were very patient as this problem was resolved.
Stayed before an early morning flight. Found the staff very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were modern clean and quiet considering the hotel is under a flight path to the airport. The hotel had a parking deal and a pleasant resturant.bar for a light snack. The airport shuttle was timely, and service could not have been better, coming and going. Glad to return to this property
I stopped at this hotel on my way to Toronto, Canada. The experience we had from check-in to check-out was great. My family loved the stay. Despite being closer to an Airport, the hotel was quiet and peaceful.
Great experience , staff very helpful and pleasant . Hotel room was clean modern , very quiet even though so close to airport. Breakfast was enjoyable , all fresh but didnt have to wait too long . Feels safe leaving car here :) will definitely be returning .
Read some mixed reviews on here. Stayed over (and parked for 8 days) to go to americas cup in Bermuda. Staff were effecient and friendly, rooms were clean and to me the important thing was the shuttle. Left the hotel on the minute it was supposed to and called after we got our bags and return shuttle was there and waiting. Would stay again anytime flying out of YYZ.
Stayed here for an event nearby . Had just been here in April for stay & fly (great stay as well ) this hotel has exceeded my expectations ~ which are very high . Clean; as in, I actually look for dirt , finger prints , dust ect . Couldn't find anything . Bed comfy , shower clean , good customer service ... these employees need to be recognized as they are hard working and make this hotel what it is . Hallways maintained , yard work tidy & clean . Good coffee in morning . Tried to come up with something to complain about and would have to say - leave more towels & facecloths in room . However , when I called for some they got delivered within 10 mins . Hope it stays this way ~
Very clean and quiet. Only problem the mattress was very soft. Room was very quiet even with road close to our room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night waiting to catch flight to Newfoundland to visit family.
Stayed overnight for a jays game. Convenient with free shuttle to airport to catch UP Express train to downtown. On runway path if you are an airplane watcher. Overall clean and comfortable room. Improvement needed on soundproofing from hallway noise. Would definitely stay again.
I stayed at the Best Western Premier Toronto Airport overnight prior the a trip south. The price I paid was very reasonable and included up to 15 days parking. The shuttle to and from the airport was on time and efficient. I purchased this hotel through Groupon and would definitely visit again.
Very convenient for Toronto Airport, part business part pleasure trip a few day s ago. Rooms very comfortable, great shower,. Good parking $10 per day. Only drawback is the service in the restaurant. Wednesday morning not that busy and we waited over 30 minutes for out food after placing the order. seemed to be just 1 waitress and they had run out of decaf coffee, not acceptable as many people have to watch caffeine intake. Wednesday evening not bad, waited maybe 20 minutes after placing an order for dinner. This morning was atrocious - placed our order and after close to an hour still not food and i had to be on a conference call and then head to the airport. Coffee and juice was prompt, coffee was luke warm - did not even try to ask for decaf, if we stay again will skip breakfast and eat elsewhere. The hotel needs to increase staff in the restaurant and ensure proper inventory, when placing the order today we were told thet were out of the fruit salad option for the full breakfast. Not the fault of the waitress, it is hotel management, spoke to another guest who heard me cancel the order ans he said it was his third time there and it was the same before
If your looking for a comfortable hotel near YYZ without the ridiculous rates then this is the place. Friendly staff, nice room, and right next to Pearson. The property aligns with a runway so ask on how to get to the roof to watch the planes land from the deck. Just like the shot in Wayne's World.
Easy to get to, short walk up to restaurants. Parking on site. Updated rooms, clean and comfy beds. Bit of walk to restaurants. We stayed to go downtown Toronto, worked great to take shuttle to the airport. Only downside was coming back on fast train the wait for shuttle, hotel staff did not tell us they used Sandman shuttle service after midnight so we waited longer then necessary.
we stayed 1 nite check in / out ok , bed really good right next to airport very quiet got what we payed for breakfast /staff real good but were under staffed especially seeing they were fully booked it left people waiting over 10-15 minutes for service to order breakfast
Our flight from Vancouver arrived in TO at 10:30 but we did not check in to hotel until 11:30 PM. We wanted a glass of wine so headed to the bar with all our luggage as their web site states the bar closes at 12:00. The Bar Manager said we were too late as she had closed out her cash. She then stated their hours are only to 11:00 pm but she stayed open later this night. Disappointed, we headed to our room on the 5th floor. Imagine our surprise when the elevator only went to the 4th floor!! We returned to the front desk and were advised there is a separate elevator we could get down the hall on 4 - "BUT IT IS NOT WORKING AT THIS TIME!" We were told we would have to "walk up from 4" NOT ACCEPTABLE! we asked for another room on a lower floor and after some discussion, we were given a room on three. We were still on BC time so we wanted to watch TV. No remote! One was delivered to the room in 15 minutes. The next morning is what was the last straw. At breakfast all we ordered was two coffees and a Danish. After 15 minutes I asked what the problem was and was told we would be served immediately. 10 minutes later we got up and left. Two coffees and a Danish ~ 25 minutes?? Again I stopped by the front desk where another guest was complaining about the wait he had for breakfast, I discussed our experience with the Manager, and to her credit she said she would issue a credit on our room charge.. This was not requested nor expected, but it was appreciated as a sincere gesture to help make up for our negative experience. However, I doubt if we will stay at this BW again on our next visit to Toronto.
Stayed here for 3 nights while I was in town for a wedding. The hotel was very clean and modern, and the beds were super comfortable. They had everything ready for us (including a crib in the room) when we arrived. The parkade was great for parking, especially since there was lots of rain. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The only downside is that the rooms offer stand up showers only (no bathtubs) so it made it difficult to give my baby a bath-but we figured it out. The pool area was great. We will definitely be staying here again.
We have stayed at this hotel while traveling before. Although we usually leave before the breakfast is available because of early flights, the staff usually offers us a sandwich from the ridge in the lobby which is a very nice touch. We usually start out holiday the night before we fly out on vacation and need a place to leave our car. We appreciate the airport shuttle as well. This hotel is comfortable and relaxing (pool and hot tub) It's a great way to get ready for the next days flight. We'll be back for sure!!
Two of the receptionists were very unfriendly and not helpful. The first room we were booked in faced a dumpster. We requested another room and the second room had two satellite dishes and a bright blue light outside of the bedroom window/door.
Very good stay with reverse vehicle 15 day option. Precise pick up at airport after hours and excellent check in. Location to airport important and close. Staff very professional and competent. Have used this hotel many times and always receive very good service.
First time ever and definitely will come back. Well furnished rooms, clean and modern. Well equipped. Great beds. Very close to a major car rental with off airport rates. 24 hour shuttles to airport. Quiet.
Surprisingly quiet considering it is on a landing path and the planes pass about 100' overhead. The hotel restaurant waitress we had was bubbly and made our stay that much better. I got a milk bottle of beer...perfect.
It was a great experience, the front staff of the hotel were very nice and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant and we ordered a long island iced tea, we waited over 15 mins and the server did not come with our drink. I believe there should be more trained staff to work at a restaurant of a hotel because our drink order was a very common drink nothing complicated and the server should have not needed google!!!!
If you are a plane spotter, this is your go-to hotel in Toronto! Clean quiet rooms, and great views of departing planes make this hotel particularly appealing to plane spotters! Most if not all rooms have a laminate type flooring, which I find much cleaner than traditional carpeting in hotels.
Very close to the airport, excellent shuttle service to airport and back. The restaurant has good food, rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Covered parking included, no extra charge even with a late arrival home, putting us into more than 7 days.
Our room was very clean and the queen size beds wonderful. The front desk ladies and waitress were very friendly but the food was so terribly slow and cold by the time we got ours. We were to catch their airport shuttle so we allotted an hour to have breakfast. NOT ! We had to cancel our order to make our shuttle. The waitress was all apologetic wrapping muffins to take as our order was still going to be another 5 minutes. We were not the only ones who cancelled breakfast orders. Sad. It's close to the airport, clean, friendly but not meal friendly.
It was a wonderful stay at best western. Very clean & modern furniture. I loved the decor and the bed was comfortable . The whole entire was pleasing & refreshing. Thank u & good job! Appreciate your efforts
We paid for 4ppl but was provided service for 2ppl and cleanliness was poor. Bath room, lack of towel, shampoo, conditioner, pillow, bed sheet. Mugs were not cleaned. Not the best hotel to stay when it comes to value for money at least provide for what was paid for and keep the room clean
A great stay at the Best Western Premier Toronto Airport Carlingview Hotel, Toronto, ONTARIO, Canada. Had a great sleep in a very comfortable bed with a delicious breakfast in the morning. Very nice and helpful staff at the front desk during check in made my stay more enjoyable, and I would highly recommend this location. https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g181801-d182120-r436735155-Best_Western_Premier_Denham_Inn_Suites-Leduc_Alberta.html#
The hotel is very clean and up-to-date. Free shuttle service, which actually took a little while to show up at the airport. I arrived to the hotel late and the morning shuttles were fully booked but they did have a cab waiting for me at the desired time in the morning.
A pleasant and comfortable stay with good shuttle service for the airport. Room and facilities all perfectly clean and in working order with comfortable beds. Heating/cooling worked well. Restaurant meals and breakfasts were prepared to a very high standard and served in good time by pleasant staff members. It is on the airport landing approach but no flight activity during the night (at least that I was aware of). Bar fittings could benefit from an upgrade but it all serves the purpose and is a good place to chill out after travelling.
Very friendly staff but that's the only thing going for this hotel. The bed are hard as rock and they have very limited food options. The pool area is in need of a very good cleaning when we arrived the hot tub had hair and other dirty floating around not to mention it was on the cold side. Neither sauna worked well either. Overall a very disappointing stay for a best Western
They have their own shuttle to Toronto Airport which runs every 30 minutes from 5 am to 10 am. You do a sign-up so you know exactly what shuttle you will be getting. Shuttle was on time and quick to airport. Be aware this hotel has a parking garage with an 80 inch height limit. Our Nissan Xterra did fit (4 inches to spare).
Went for a business meeting and staying 2 days. Make note elevator only goes to 4th floor. There is a service elevator for the 5th floor, but do not have any more than 1 bag as you might not fit. Water pressure in rooms is non-existent, which is the same for the temperature controls. Don't bother wasting time with the staff as they cant get up from reading a book to look at you. There are tons of other options around look carefully.
super location - close to Pearson airport - modern updated hotel - welcoming staff - liked my room # 330 - large room - great work area - loved the shower in the bathroom - comfortable bed - given how close to the airport the hotel is quiet - surprised that there is an extra charge for parking.
We love Best Western Premium on Carlingview. We have used it for several years. Nice clean, comfortable, convenient location. We love to use the facility for month long parking needed for our trip. Whether short trip to Caribean or long term we highly recommend. The transportation shuttle is easy and efficient with limited wait times coming home. We have recommended this hotel to all our friends.
We stayed in a two bed queen room for 5 nights, plenty of room, cleaned and replenished towels etc every day. Shuttle to and from hotel was excellent, driver very pleasant. On arrival the girl on reception told us that all the rooms were totally sound proof, being so near the motorway and airport, not true, you can't hear the traffic but you can hear the rumble of the planes, it wasn't a huge problem, but her comment was a lie. We hired a car from Enterprise which was next door, but were told we would have to pay $10 per day to park even though we were staying at the hotel, so we asked Enterprise if we could leave the car there through out the night, they were happy to oblige. When we received the bill it had the parking fee for the whole of our stay even though we had told them that we wasn't going to use their car park That was really the only problem we had.
Very nice place to stay. Clean, comfortable, great shuttle services. Very friendly staff, great parking. Very close to airport, about a five minute trip. Clean Vans for shuttle. Nice Driver, Lobby was clean and had nice snacks if you needed.
Excellent place to stay near airport. 2 rates offered, higher reasonable rate included 15 day free car parking in parking shelter. We were away 3 months so only paid 55 days @ 7.00 for parking because we stayed at end of trip giving us another 15 days retroactive to our stay. King bed really comfortable, great sleep, quiet room.
The "Free Shuttle" is just that! I flew into Terminal 1 and the pick-up is on the lower level at station S 5. The problem is that no one told me you have to call and the hotel is not listed on the marquee inside. Once I called it took 1/2 hour where every other airport hotel shuttles had come by at least 3 times. The driver was surly and the equipment had broken seats (not comfortable.) The staff at the hotel are fantastic and the rooms are very nice with props to the bed and the bathroom. The shower was amazing. This is a great choice when you need convenience and a great price. You are just 25 minutes from downtown Toronto (use the express train from the terminal) cheap and wonderful.
This hotel was as advertised, no surprises. Very clean, quiet and comfortable night's sleep. Good value and easy commute to and from the nearby Pearson Airport. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and found both well prepared and well presented. Friendly staff and easy access to the restaurant.
Would never go back, breakfast served after 1.25 hr, breakfast yogourt (supposed granola) too expensive. Reservations totally messed up. Billing was wrong and had to be corrected for many in our group.
This was a great stopover before and after our trip. Friendly staff. Nice rooms, hardwood floors are great for allergies. The first room we were in was an adjoining room with a loud group of men. We asked for a change and the front desk were more than happy to help us out. Beds were very comfortable and room was nice and clean.
Stayed before flying back home. Nice, clean accomodation. Food at the on site restaurand was above average. My wfes meal was served after i was done eating mine. Little things that can happen. We were not in a rush, so it did not matter.
We needed a room for the night and parking for two weeks. This hotel had everything. The shuttle to the airport was great. Only thing wrong was that the breakfast wasn't available at the time we needed - bright and early.
Stayed one night before an early flight the next morning. Staff at the front desk were very helpful. My wife and I forgot a cork screw and the front desk said they could get one from the kitchen and if I bring the bottle to the front desk that I could use the cork screw. The lady at the front desk also gave us a couple of wine glasses to take up to our room.
We usually stay at this hotel before early morning flights out of Toronto. They have great front counter service, a full breakfast, and you can get a park and fly rate. The rooms are comfortable and you are close to the sirport, for which they have a free shuttle. Overall, a reasonable choice for a park and fly option.
FRUSTRATING, NEVER Again!!! I called for the shuttle pick up and waited in the airport for 50mins at 9:30pm, I do not understand as the trip to the airport only took less than 10mins (Where did this driver come from to and back Timbuktu??? I was tired, hungry, mad, frustrated and scared. Insult to injury! When I finally came and checked in, not even a heartfelt apology from the staff nor the driver, I asked to book a 6am shuttle to the airport. Guess what? It's fully booked!!! I f I had not waited so long in the airport, I could not have run out of spot in the shuttle. To my surprise, not even an apology, an offer for a complimentary cab, or anything to get me to my flight. Nothing there indicated that I was a guest, a valuable customer, a repeat business. Terrible, worst ever, and surely not the cheapest around. I strongly discourage anybody to book with this hotel. We always booked with Best Western, but this one is surely the rotten egg in the basket.
Close to Pearson International and great value for money. Super comfy bed and the bar/restaurant was great for a layover stay and early start. The shuttle bus was a tad small so if it was a busy time you might struggle to get your ideal tine slot.
Room were very clean and up to date, walk in shower was great for us older folks, Rooms had everything you would need for your stay, We have stayed on the 2nd front and on the 5th, The planes flying over didn't bother us one bit. We stayed before and after our trip and the car was parked in a covered parking garage.
Chose the Best Wester Premier Carlingview for our return flight, arriving late in Toronto, after enjoying our stay there prior to our departure from Toronto. The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. The room was clean, bathrooms equipped for anyone with mobility issues or more mature guests which makes it most pleasant for taking a shower. The beds were so comfortable! There is a restaurant on site where we enjoyed a delicious meal and appreciated the efficient, personable staff. We would recommend this hotel and would stay on future trips.
We booked this Hotel for it's proximity to the Toronto International airport. We could leave our car there for a fee and the Hotel offered a free shuttle service to and from the airport. Our room was basic but clean. We ate at the restaurant and the food was just OK! It is a three-star hotel at best but it's proximity to the airport makes it a good choice for an overnight stay.
First of all, the staff were outstanding. Our problem was they were doing pool maintenance and the chemicals fermented throughout the hotel. Their beds smelled of bleach, but we're comfortable.a little outdated but it looks like they are updating
Over all a great stay. From the front desk to the shuttle service, it was a pleasure. Thanks to all! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay close to the airport. We only had drinks in the restaurant but the food being served to other guests looked and smelled wonderful.
Stayed here on a weekend getaway with my wife. Place was very quiet with friendly staff. Room was clean except the wood floor seemed a bit sticky like it hasn't been scrubbed in a while. Would have preferred if the TV was aligned with the bed, but not a deal breaker. Was disappointed about the in room coffee, the website made it look like they had Kierig in each room when in fact it was a cheap knock off machine with one type of coffee.
Shuttle on the way back was almost an hour, and even then it was another Hotel's shuttle who picked us up. When I book an airport hotel, shuttle wait times are important and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this hotel based on those. The hotel was clean, not really sure I would say it was a Premier though. Rooms were decent, but we had to transfer to a second elevator just to get to the fourth floor. A little awkward. The bar/restaurant closed earlier than expected.
This is a nice and quite place for a frequent flyer. Being very near to the airport and other nice access to Toronto this place gives all flexibility to your purpose of travel. Hotel has a nice restaurant where nice food and drinks are provided at very reasonable rates in a very quite environment. The staff is from so many different nationalities that you really can find your world within this hotel.
Best western is moving upscale with this gorgeous hotel offering a nice lounge, shuttle to the airport, we went at 4:30am Having stayed at other Best Westerns this was truly the nicest with an upscale boutique feel, staff were friendly, room was great, bed was comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything more for a budget priced hotel stay.
The staff were friendly and accommodating on our stay. We didn't appreciate being given room 235, which is right beside the access door to the parkade, as it slammed all night long as people arrived or left. Overall, the decor was nice - even though the rooms had no carpet, just tile on the floor. The pool looked very nice, as it should be for a Premier BW. The hallway lights were a bit glaring white, not very soothing. The restaurant staff were equally pleasant, and the food a decent standard.
Stayed here for 1 night & left our car here during our trip. Easy check in with friendly staff. Free shuttle to & from the airport. Clean room with good beds, left too early for free breakfast, but were given food to take to the airport. Very handy place to stay for anyone flying from Pearson airport. Reasonable, competitive rate to sleep & leave car here during trip. Would definitely stay here again
We booked this hotel because it offered the option of parking for up to 14 days with one night's stay for a decent price when we flew to London for 10 days. Other hotels only offered up to 8 days. Shuttle service to/from the airport was extremely efficient. The major problem was that the floor in our room was warped with a huge bump on my side of the bed that I tripped on multiple times. Mentioning it on checkout, we were told that room is usually only given out when all other rooms are taken and we were offered a free bottle of juice. It would have been nice to at least been warned when we checked it, but even better if they just fixed the floor! I would stay here again though in a similar situation,
Great place to stay for business or pleasure, flying out is a breeze from here. business travel is also good from here, you can jump on any hwy in seconds! full breakfast is good not one of those warmed over buffets Comfortable rooms, air traffic noise is down to a minimum, parking for my stay was included with my room rate
We stayed for two nights and in point form here is what I can say: Location and free shuttle is very good Staff was very nice While there is a pool we didn't use the small of chlorine in the lobby area was quite pervasive. The king size bed was comfortable but of average quality Furniture in our room was quite basic but functional Given the proximity to the airport, planes at certain times passed right over the hotel and can e a little noisy, I guess that's why there was only I non opening window in the room. A Keurig coffee maker and small microwave in the room was certainly appreciated. The restaurant in the hotel was good at least for breakfast, although if you are in a rush to depart service and the kitchen can be somewhat slow, but they try, take that into consideration, parking is 10.00 a night + tax
This property is near the airport and reasonably priced for an overnight. The shuttle took 40 minutes to arrive even though the hotel is about 6 minutes away. The lobby is very stark and uninviting. The room however was quite nice, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant is terrible. It feels like an old age home. The breakfast service is deplorable. You can see management comments that they take these comments seriously but clearly they have done nothing. 15 minutes for morning coffee is just bad. The restaurant opens at 5 and had no pizza at 630. This makes up 1/3 of the menu. At breakfast the 4 muffin choices was only 1. When there are 2 servers and 5 guests and service is terrible I cannot imagine busy times. However price and cleanliness get points.
Get your breakfast elsewhere if you're on a tight schedule. Restaurant is badly undermanned. The pleasant and hard-working wait staff can't keep up to even half-full tables; budget at least 45 minutes. Well engineered building is surprisingly quiet considering it's next to a runway and freeway.
Normally, the last day of a vacation is not a happy day, especially if your flight is in late afternoon. You must evacuate the hotel during the morning, so you arrive the airport tired and nervous. In the Carlingview hotel we enjoyed the hospitality till noon and then were taken to the airport by the hotel's shuttle exactly on time.
this best-western is one of the best ones for park and fly ..from check in to check out staff very friendly and accommodating excellent shuttle service and covered parking ..only one drawback the restaurant i would not recommend very slow and some things on the menu not available not even cheese for the pizza ..other than the restaurant this property is excellent .noise from the airport that is across the road is not bad very good sound proofing special thanks to the frond desk staff make you feel at home ..
Stayed for 2 weeks and thought almost everything was great. The staff was terrific! Really helpful and friendly. Loved being able to park indoors and get easily to my room from the garage. Travelling alone can be tedious and I really appreciated the extra attention. It is located in the airport oblivion corridor,so curb and neighbourhood appeal, not so great...but inside, everything seemed recently updated and contemporary. Room was always clean ( special mention to Lucy , who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome...even checked to make sure I remembered to pack my lunch for work !) The only caveat was the restaurant. I ordered room service once and waited for two hours to get my cold meal. Also, had breakfast in the restaurant on weekend and waited almost half hour to get a cup of coffee. I ended up using outside restaurants for delivery,if ever I wanted hot food in my room. If the service and food were better, I would likely have used the restaurant more often. That being said, there are ample options really close by, and a microwave and fridge in room, so not really that big an issue. All in all, a great place for extended stays. I have already booked my next trip.
I went to the restaurant with my free breakfast voucher (because I am a loyal BW customer) and then was wondering where all the waiters were spending their time as they certainly serving the customers. After 15 minutes I finally got an menu and then another 15 minutes I got my meal.
The Best Western Premier Carlingview exceeded out expectations. Had a wonderful night of rest. Good food and extended Covered Parking for our car. Very friendly and courteous staff. Great Value at a fair price.
The Best Western Premier is an older hotel but the upgrades make it quite comfortable and one of the most responably priced stays at the YYZ. If you're a rewards member enjoy the hot breakfast and a host of other incentives. We stayed here and made use of the Park and Fly option which is good for one or two weeks without an extra cost. Check them out, great staff and access to the Airport right across the the 427. There was also know bother with flight noise as being on the East Side planes were landing.
Ended up settling on this place due to price. In the end it was a good alternative to staying downtown (being right near the highway). Other than the room and Wi-Fi , I can not comment on any of the other amenities, but if the friendliness of the staff and comfort of the bed are any indication, I would suspect they are very good too. The parking is a level parking with key access - a little tricky since access is through the second floor only. They were kind enough to allow me to unload my baggage from the front door to make it easier (as I was on the 4th). Given that it was near airport I was pleased by the level of sound proofing in the rooms.
I booked a room for a week for a business trip to Toronto. The room was reasonably priced, and the amenities were fine. Nothing too fancy, but well maintained, although the whirlpool was out of order. The service at the restaurant was very poor, however. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, but it is clear that there is a major staffing problem in the kitchen. Food took hours to prepare. This was true for both dinner and breakfast. When I am on a business trip, I need a quick breakfast - in and out in 20 minutes at the most, but at this place, every morning was an exercise in frustration. In summary, the price, location, and amenities are fine, but I would not return here because of the restaurant service.
Rates are excellent for combining sleep and fly. Hotel is more or less non descript from exterior, but very clean, practical, and efficient once there. Staff were professional in appearance and very friendly. Room was very clean, ( do inspect) and comfortable. Free shuttle to airport was on time and we definitely will re-book with this hotel again! Have stayed in 2 other best western in different states in the last 12 months and we are impressed with the consistency of service and quality.
The Best Western on Carlingview St is conveniently located near Pearson Airport. We stayed a night & parked the car for 2 weeks in a covered garage. The room was nice, the hotel had a pool, sauna, etc which was nice. Coffee in the morning, breakfast was extra. & the shuttle to the airport was close & easy. For the money it was excellent & I would recommend this option for future trips.
We got a great deal on travelzoo for this hotel and were delighted with the hotel, the 14 day parking and the breakfast voucher. The reception is very friendly, the rooms are nice, the bed and especially pillows so comfortable. And very close to airport, a 5-minute shuttle drive. Within a short walk are Casey's and the Keg. And you can park on site. Will consider another time.
Travelzoo deal, $99! Clean large room with microwave, fridge, safe and Keurig coffeemaker. Included free breakfast, but had to leave for airport at 3am so we got complimentary muffin/sandwich/juice or pop. Close to restaurants (Jack Astor's).
We purchased a Travel Zoo deal which included hotel, breakfast, shuttle service to and from the Toronto airport and parking for 14 days for only 99 dollars. I think we got an amazing deal. The room was very nice and looked like it was recently updated. The bed was a king size and very comfortable. The breakfast was a bit of a challenge. No fault of the hotel but one of the chefs was a no show that morning and there was one chef to prepare everything on his own. It was very busy so it was a bit slow for service. We will definitely stay there again next time we travel.
My Husband and I stayed at this BWP last night. It was a perfect stay. The rooms are spotless, housekeeping staff was amazing and friendly. Upon check in yesterday the reception staff was excellent. Very informative and super friendly. Our room had a huge comfortable bed, pillows were very nice as well. Good size bathroom! Room itself is quite large with nice chair for viewing very large screen TV. There was a nice bar fridge, microwave and single brew coffee maker. So close to airport but you do not hear the planes at all....zero! Great indoor parking to leave your vehicle.....a great park, sleep and fly! They have a very nice Business Centre as well. Nice pool and work out centre. Very good restaurant near Lobby with a nice menu, breakfast was perfect, everything cooked the way we like it, and delicious coffee and it was nice and hot! The waiter was excellent, a very friendly informative young man who aimed to please. The reception staff on check out was not the same woman as on check in, but was just as polite, friendly and informative. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the night at a hotel where all the staff aim to please....amazing! We will definately be staying here on our return flight home.
Arrived Friday.Parked at the front to unload and oh my god, there's a 737 just overhead - what have we done!. Lobby staff nice, but still worried about noise. Get to room on 3rd floor. View of Moores warehouse, ok, but as i watch the planes land overhead, I can't hear them - smile! it's an ok location just of the main hotel strip. 5 mins to nearest lcbo. room nice, but as others said, floor buckled. Nice bathroom and clean. Only complaint is breakfast. Took 20 mins to order and it was awful. Worst $12 each I have ever spent. Go elsewhere! Service was also every, very, poor. Took 30 mins to get the bill. The four US folks next to us, waited 20 mins for a coffee so we gave them our pot. Fix this and it is a nice place. They do charge for parking just like all the others but is only $10. If you are bored at night, take a beer and go on the parking roof and watch the planes - great if you have kids. Did not try the pool so cannot comment
Was put-up here by my employer for some on-site training. Compared to the dozens of budget motels I've stayed at over the years, this was heaven. It's not perfect, depending on how high your standards are, but it I enjoyed it. There were some humidity-control issues due to the hot and humid weather that was ongoing during my 3 day stay. Rooms are clean and modern, service was great. The restaurant food was good, but really slow for some reason. I'm going back for another 3 days and looking forward to it. It's directly under the landing path of a runway that's not used too frequently, so noise wasn't an issue.
As hotels go, the Best Western Carlingview, is fine. It ticks all the boxes that we needed... Our stay was for the last 4 days/ 3 nights of our Ontario vacation. We were advised not to bother with our rental car, as the train from Pearson to downtown was affordable and much safer ( and after seeing the driving downtown, I now understand!!!). The reception staff are brilliant and really helpful, offering us great advice on travel and places to eat locally. We were even allowed to use the airport shuttle to get to and from the airport to catch the UP express to Union Station... The pool and gym were also great ( and really needed after the amount of beer drunk!!) All in all, brilliant place. Affordable compared to other hotels in the area, and we will definitely be back here the next time we are in Toronto
Great hotel. Front desk was very friendly, rooms and bathroom were very clean, beds comfortable, but the buckling floor was a bit uncomfortable. At one point I almost fell on my face. Pool was wonderful but we couldn't get the saunas to work and the shuttle drivers need a lesson in personality, but I would stay there again.
I stayed here for a night while awaiting a plane out of Toronto. The staff was super friendly/helpful and the hotel is very clean, though older. I used their shuttle to get from the rental car area to the hotel and back to the airport the next morning - it was prompt. I had dinner at the restaurant and it took an hour and a half to get a chicken sandwich. Apparently, they had staffing problems, but the waitress was apologetic and did the best she could.
Hotel is very convenient for travellers leaving by air from Toronto. Staff is friendly and hotel is excellent for amenities and convenience. Rooms are very convenient and clean, and all services are available.
I have stayed in several hotels of the Pearson area for business and this is the one that I would definitely recommend. Extremely friendly staff, and good quality for the price paid. Also, it is closer to the airport than other hotels but somehow its a very quiet place! You can barely hear the planes from the rooms.
Although the location was wonderful to get to and from the Rogers Centre, this hotel is lacking in good management. Yes, they were friendly enough, but our room on the 2nd floor had a balcony that was flooded with water and that same water was seeping into the room and popping the floor. The floor by the nighttable was elevated by at least 6 inches, causing a giant hump that sqeaked and posed to be a wonderful tripping hazard when trying to place a cup of hot coffee on the nighttable. I mentioned it to the front desk immediately after check in and they declared they had not heard about this before but blamed it on the humidity. They did offer to move us to another room, but then realized the hotel was fully booked so they reneged on that offer but gave us a free breakfast instead. That takes us to the restaurant. Horribly slow service! We waited half an hour for coffee and an additional 40 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. Thank goodness we were not trying to catch a flight! Friendly enough and the food was good, but overall, just not acceptable. The room was clean and the bed and pillow were comfortable, but in general, this was not up to the same standards as other Best Western's.
Excellent experience. Arrived ar 12:30 pm and eas informed we could not check in till 3:00 pm. Was surprised but the issue was handled VERY PROFESSIONALLY AND IN A VERY CARING MANNER by LEEANNA at the reception desk. We were checked into the room by about 2:20 pm. We were concerned because of a very difficult situation involving the health of a family member. We simply mentioned this -, quietly and politely - that this was s very stressful day for our family. LEEANNA was very sensitive and we were prepared to simply wait tiill the check-in time. Without mentioning this to us she worked to accommodate us ad early as possible so that we could deal with our family members situation. It was greatly appreciated and we really felt that LEEANNA cared sbout helping us. The hotel was excellent, the food at the hotel was great, the reccomendations for ordering in to our room were excellent. Parking was excellent. will be returning again at the end if Eotembet.
I have stayed at many Best Western hotels. This one is a perfect location, with great rooms, of course clean, but with a touch of home. Great staff and a good place to eat if you don't want to go out ( but if you do you can choose from many great nearby places)
Purchased a Groupon and had nights at beginning and end of a four week trip, with parking included. Excellent front desk staff, caring in spite of dealing with many customers. Very good king size bed. Breakfast was ok, with vouchers, good omelette bar. Parking was handy in covered garage. Was under renovation, but no major problems with facilities.
We booked here because of a great price found on Trivago and we were very happy with the property. It's newly renovated, beds are comfortable and the staff was attentive. Didn't like the $10 per night price tag for parking but it's Toronto. They also have free wifi, a pool and hot tub although the pool is freezing. All in all a good place to stay. My young son loved watching all the airplanes and they weren't loud in the rooms. My only complaint would be the inconsiderate travellers leaving for the airport between 3-6 AM. People are sleeping and the rooms are not soundproof. Yelling in the hallways is just rude. Have a little respect for your fellow guests and save it for the lobby.
Stayed here during a recent visit. Great place to stay, great rooms. Room cleaning service is excellent. Only issues: the coffee maker was broken, jacuzzi wasn't 100% functioning. The sauna was not working. I would stay here again if I ever visit Toronto.
We stayed here for the first time as a pre-vacation getaway with parking as offered on their web-site. At first the hotel looked nice however noticed the lobby being a little humid. We enjoy a soak in the hot tub before dinner and this was partially the reason for booking this hotel, however we soon found the hot tub not working. This was reported to the front desk however nothing was done during our stay that we noticed and there was no towels either although these were brought shortly before we left the pool area. The room layout was nice however the air conditioning was not working on one of the hottest days of the summer and was reported twice with no resolve or options given to switch rooms, nothing. Honestly i travel outside the country three times a year for vacation and each time book a hotel with parking. There are other better airport hotel options that i would suggest you try.
Great property - newly renovated. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable modern rooms. Nice bar and restaurant. Lovely young lady working in the bar - very friendly and informative. On time shuttle service to airport. Definitely recommend staying here. Great rate for stay and park when travelling
Stayed at BW Premier for one night before catching our early morning flight. The room was great, bed very comfortable, even had a Keurig coffee machine in the room. The breakfast was included too. Would come back.
The room was nice. The service at the front desk was great. The hotel itself is a bit run down and planes very loudly fly right over the hotel constantly, but you might expect that if you're that close to Pearson. We liked the hotel itself, and the planes aren't that loud from inside. My only real complaint is about the shuttle driver we had, and it's a big one. I don't know what their system is or why, but they don't want you calling the hotel for a pick-up until you're in the exact spot they tell you to go to. So, when we got off the train at the airport, I phoned... figuring that by the time we got to the post, we'd already be down there. We didn't want to be waiting around while my hubby's son was dealing with very bad stomach pain. Well, we went outside on the wrong level and spent a couple minutes wandering around trying to figure out where this post was, and by the time we figured it out and went down to the next level he had already come and gone. So after getting to the right spot and waiting for 20 minutes, I phoned the hotel again to ask where he was. She calls him, finds out he was already there and tells him to come back. Unfortunately, just before he showed up my hubby and his son had gone to find a bathroom because he thought he was going to get sick. When the driver showed up I told him the situation, and he lost it on me. "I was already here once looking for you guys and I have other customers to pick up" etc. Completely unprofessional and awful. He tells me that the hotel receptionist told me the second time I called that the name on the van would be under another name (not the name of the hotel), and I told him I didn't hear that part of the conversation... which is true. She may have said it the second time I phoned, but I didn't catch it until the 3rd call. So then he calls her up and starts complaining about me while I'm sitting right behind him, and he tells her that I denied she told me that at all. Just infuriating. He and I got into an argument because of his poor behaviour towards me and he impatiently asked me how long it was going to be before they came out of the bathroom. How am I supposed to answer that? It didn't seem to matter that he was sick to his stomach; a situation out of our control was inconveniencing him. I got tired of his attitude and offered to get out of the van so he could go pick up his other more important passengers, and that's when he told me it was fine because he got someone else to go pick them up. Apparently all the fuss was over nothing. We got back to the hotel and I marched straight over to the receptionist and explained to her that he communicated the situation wrongly to her and she was completely understanding and advised me that he was being rude to her too and that she'd already left a note to management about this. It just upset me so much. It was the night we came back from seeing The Tragically Hip, and we were all in a good mood from the show, and then that happens.
TRANSFER: The hotel reception was called immediately after we exited customs and were instructed to go to one particular exit. We did. The shuttle bus arrived rather quickly. Another customer was picked up as well after us. She was picked up from an empty corner of an industrial building with no entrances nor exits nearby. She had no luggage or carry-ons. Strange. Upon drop-off at the hotel she asked the driver "Which room? Ask her." She waited a fair distance from the reception desk and the driver walked over to reception exchanged some words and called a room number out to her. She tipped him $10 and proceeded to the elevators. Stranger. RECEPTION: Check-in was quick and painless. ROOM 1: The room certainly was no Best Western Premier room let alone a Best Western Plus room. It was a basic run down Best Western room. Numerous hairs were found on the bed and behind the bed and under the pillows. Not acceptable for a 'clean' room. Reception was called and a 'clean' room requested. They sent a porter to bring us keys to a different room. ROOM 2: This room was no different than the first room. I digress. It was slightly different. It had just as many hairs on the pillows, under the pillows, between the sheets, a blood stain on the sheet and a shower with hairs everywhere. Apparently a clean room here means making the previous customers bed only. Reception was contacted and told this was not acceptable. I had suggested we just leave and embark on our few hour drive home but my wife was exhausted from our travels and needed to sleep. The manager came upstairs after a long wait and apologized and and replaced the sheets and pillow cases only. We had to demand that the complete bedding set be replaced as the dirty comforter was reused. We also had to demand the bathroom be cleaned. It took an hour to complete this exercise. BREAKFAST: Ensure you bring the coupon provided by reception to gain entry to the breakfast hall. On offer was standard fare for a lower end hotel:Scrambled eggs, sliced breads, bacon, sausages, cereals, yogurts, fruits, cold & hot drinks. OVERVIEW: This location is a run down basic Best Western at best. I'm not sure where they get the gall to call themselves a "Premier." Don't waste your time nor money here. If you absolutely have to stay here; bring plastic sheeting to cover every surface, a bottle of bleach to disinfect anything not cover-able, your own sleeping bags and pillows and a hand-held black light if you are really curious.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the Pool, hot tub & sauna. Comfortable & clean room. Room could use a little sound proofing, could hear hallway noises. Easy access to highways, therefore getting around was easy.
In general a good hotel for its purpose. Due to closeness to airport we stayed there while visiting Downtown Toronto. The hotel's Airport Shuttle functioned very well. Negative that we had to pay 10 $ a day for parking at the hotel. Boring hotel restaurant, but there is an ok grill restaurant 200 meter down the road. The hotel should have a bench or two to sit down on the outside.
It was a nice hotel and probably the nicest Best Western we ever stayed in. Very easy and quick to check in. Liked it better than the Sandman Inn at the Toronto Airport where we had stayed earlier Left early so did not get a chance to try the breakfast.
The front desk lady was very rude not only to myself but other travelers. The room was on the second floor and noisy until after 11:00p.m. The restaurant was absolutely terrible. The young server did her best but the cook made one meal at a time, when it was served it was look warm. We waited almost an hour and a half. We had two young children and five adults ordering breakfast from a limited menu. It was not the servers fault she could only deliver what was ready. Just a poor experience. We asked for a discount and received one. We thanked them for their consideration.
We used a Travelzoo voucher in mid-July: $99 for room, breakfast and up to two weeks airport parking. It was a top notch experience in every respect- friendly welcome, clean, comfortable, quiet room, tasty breakfast, covered parking, and efficient shuttle service to and from the airport. We couldn't ask for more!
This BW was an excellent place to stay during our trip to Toronto. Right next to the airport, it was appealing both from a vacation standpoint, and from a plane-spotter perspective! We will be back next time we are in Toronto.
The room we had was clean and bed was comfortable (loved the pillows) and in spite of being right across from the airport, is was very quiet. We have two young children and got a king room with a sofa bed. With the sofa bed out, it was a tight squeeze in the room. Loved the wood floors and bathroom decor, although it's a walk in shower with partial glass enclosure...not the best setup for kids that do better in a bathtub or for little girls that need to use the potty while daddy is in the shower. And the water pressure in the shower was AWFUL. Wifi was good and staff was very responsive & helpful. We booked through groupon so parking was included as was breakfast for two, although we didn't take them up on the breakfast. Location was convenient to the airport but we were glad we had our own car to take into town. Parking there was $20 or so per day in the parking garage across from CN tower.
This hotel was not bad but they need to change a few things to before we would ever stay again. The good things are the staff, parking, location to airport! We had several issues that were addressed right away. We did not use the park and fly with the shuttle but in our time at the desk the service seemed very swift with the front desk communicating with the shuttle to get guests to and from the airport. Parking was great at only $10.00 a night here instead of $20-25 at so many other hotels in the area. Breakfast~ The breakfast buffet is 11.99 if not included with the room. They had fresh made omelets and waffles. Cereal, assorted toast, muffins, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns. As well as 2 kinds of juice, tea & coffee. Perfectly fine to get you on your way for the day:) Pool and hot tub were very nice and clean. Our boys lucked in with no one else using them which was nice for them to enjoy the whole pool. Beds.... this was one of our main issues. They are on bed frames that squeak every time you move. After our first sleepless night we mentioned it to the front desk and they had maintenance attend to them. In the end it did help one bed but they either did not do both beds or one was beyond repair. For a family in the room it made for a sleepless night for mom and dad. Pillows were very comfortable! The air conditioning would not go off of 72 no matter what we did but we forgot to mention it to front desk which was our fault. Just check it first and call to have it attended to if an issue for you. Room was clean and loved the hard wood floor instead of carpet! We were on the back side of the hotel. The planes literally fly right past the front of the hotel but with the room fan on we did not hear plane noise. You might if you were on the front side. The switch for the bathroom is in the hall and has a very bright night light as part of it. We ended up put a piece of paper with a band-aid on it to block the light at night... The other thing is the giant blue lights that light up the side of the hotel. It shines right up and make a glow in the room. Not to appealing when actually wanting to sleep. We drove to find Drug store, grocery store and restaurants, which were within 10 minutes of hotel. No suitable restaurants for families within walking distance from hotel. Lots near by but you need to drive. This would be a good hotel for a single person or couple but I would not recommend for a family. This was our first time booking through TripAdvisor. It shows up at the hotel that we booked through Expedia. The other thing that was a big issue was that we selected hotels that included breakfast with the room in our search. Once at the hotel we were told no breakfast was included that is why we got a lower rate. I will address this with TripAdvisor so other people do not suffer the same fiat. The lady at the front desk was very kind and gave us a voucher for 2 breakfasts our first morning. This worked out as our younger son was child rate and my hubby only wanted toast so it all worked out to not cost to much over what we thought would be included. So just beware just because you have it in your search it is not always included in the end once booking the hotel.
I bought a travelzoo coupon and felt it was worth the $99 plus tax. The room was nice and clean and they had a Kuerig coffee maker which was nice. The breakfast was a bit sad but it sufficed. I liked the on site parking and I put my car on the top level and the outside door from that area was close to my room. One thing to keep in mind is that their shuttle stops at midnight and I got in just past. They don't pick up the phone to tell you. I had to take a cab to get my car which worked out ok as the driver took me right to my car and helped with my luggage.
Stayed for one night to catch a flight the next day, location was very convenient. The hotel was clean and up to date. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking for our vehicle & airport shuttle were an added bonus. Location is close to several restaurants, some even within walking distance. Would stay again.
Things started going wrong right out of the airport. I called for a shuttle service and he said the driver was at the airport. I asked him to make sure the driver waited for me as i had a meeting and was 100 steps from the pick up point. He said he'd try. 45 minutes later the driver came, refused to take me to the hotel, said he was from a different Best Western. WHAT!?!? A $23 taxi ride for a 4 minute ride and 10 minute walk to make my appointment - i was already late- and found that there were no bathtubs. Got a message i couldn't access and the tech guy never came (couldn't get the cold air turned off or the remote working). They gave me a coupon for breakfast that i had already paid for and it was mediocre at best with no Hollandaise sauce on the eggs and bad coffee - no pastries included and no options for cappucino. Look, the bed was comfortable, thank goodness and hotel quiet given it was so close to the airport. There were no bathtubs and nearly missing my meeting and having to pay for the honor just put me off. Competition between the hotels caught me in the middle and put me in a bad place. Make it half the price and stop pretending to be what you're not.
This is not the nearest to the airport, but close enough. As frequent BW users we can compare BW hotels in North America, Europe England and Scotland. While the room was clean and well-appointed, the service in the restaurant was not good. We waited for cream or milk for so long that a couple at a nearby table gave us some of theirs.
Everything went well. No surprises .The location was perfect for all activities I had to do in the area. I just wished they would have provided the free breakfast. This is something I always look forward to when I am staying at a Best Western.
We bought a Travelzoo voucher and thought we would try this hotel for park and fly. We were pleasantly surprised. It was very modern, clean, quiet and comfortable. The parking was in a parking garage attached to the hotel. We liked that the hotel had a breakfast included. Yet, even though we had a very early flight, they had some sandwiches, muffins, fruit, juice out so that we could take our breakfast to go!! Impressive!! The shuttle service worked great. We will absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.
It was a very nice stay - I was there on a training trip and the room was clean and quiet, the staff went out of there way to help and make you feel at home. Very close to the airport and also near the bus system.
We arrived at this hotel 4 am, we over paid just to sleep the night, the bathroom had hair everywhere, we asked for one hour late check out the front desk was very rude and mean said no what so ever 12 noon you have to leave, my kids and us were in rush. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN...
Very helpful staff at check-in. They have a large garage for parking, then took the shuttle to the airport. Stayed at the hotel on my return. Great staff when I got back. The bar was just about to close for the evening, but I was able to get a meal to take back to my room. The room itself was a decent size, spotlessly clean, and a very comfortable bed. The hotel is located on a flight path, but I did not hear anything. Breakfast was included with my stay. No buffet - everything cooked to order from the menu. Excellent, again.
Booked a stay through Travelzoo before our flight to British Columbia. Price was great at $99 and the car can be parked for 14 days free of charge. The hotel was very clean and the shuttle to the airport was fast and efficient. You must book the shuttle as you check in. It is every 1/2 hour before 10 am, then every hour after that. Wifi was great and HD television was great. Spent some time at the pool with hot tub, sauna and wet spa (which was out of order during our stay). A complimentary breakfast was included with the voucher from Travelzoo. For supper, we took a short stroll past a Hooters and ate at a new grill called Arizonas. Very good meal and reasonably priced. Will return when we will need a flight out of Pearson.
It's not only close to the airport, but also close to prominent places of visit (both official - say, Toronto Congress centre and personal - depends where each wants to go)! If I fail to mention the courtesy extended to me by accepting my request for late check-out, I will be the most ungrateful person in the earth!
We experienced a very nice experience staying at this hotel. The front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly, We were pleasantly surprised how nice the room was, compared to many other best western hotels we've been at.
This is my first stay at a Best western Premium and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was amazing and the room was very nice. Parking was convenient as well. I have now found my first choice Toronto airport hotel and have booked again next week. Great job guys! Bob
I stayed here for a hockey tournament. Upon check in my A/C was not working. They sent up a guy to fix it and it just never worked right. Looked behind the panel and in was extremely clogged with dust. The breakfast buffet was horrible. Very old dried out food and a small selection for the price. This would be a good place if it where $50 a night or something. The rest of my team stayed at the Hilton for only $10 more than I paid and it was like night and day on quality. The only good things here where you could stand on top of the parking garage and watch the air planes land all night, the bed was comfortable and the staff was some what good. Don't drink the water in the lobby it was super old. I'm not a real picky person but I will not be staying here again that's for sure.
I chose an airport location as I had an early flight home. The Best Western offers a hotel shuttle, and the price was reasonable. My room was comfortable and clean, and offered good value for the price paid. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was not very responsive. I had a difficult time finding someone to help me when I needed a new key for my room (there was no one at the front desk for 5-10 minutes) and one night when I was returning to the hotel the front desk clerk was less than helpful in providing guidance about the hotel shuttle, telling me it would be there in 10-15 minutes, and subsequently blaming the late arrival (it took 40 minutes) on how busy they were in dropping people off, which the driver denied. All in all, a reasonable stay, just disappointed with the front desk staff.
I think they trained the front desk night clerk to drive away as much business as possible. She was incredibly snotty, and not just to us, but to the guests before and after us. She would deliberatly ignore what guests said, and then tell them the exact opposite of what they said.
the stay was amazing just did not like that I had to pay for parking and I was not told that before I got there. Comfy bed and room did not want to leave. Shower was weird at first because no door on it.
My friend and I got a fantastic room with lots of space. Despite being close to the airport we heard not a single plane or noise outside our door. There were only a few things that made my stay a little rocky. Prior to reaching the hotel the day of check-in, I had called to make sure everything was still set, I was told my reservation was still there but the payment made for the room over 2 months ago didn't go through (Even though I called a week prior and the person I spoke to told me nothing about the payment not going through. I received not a single notification) So I ended up paying a crazy rate for my room. If I wanted to pay such a high rate I would have gotten a hotel closer to the event I was attending. In addition, during our first dat the elevators were not working so, my friend and I had to lug our suitcases up the stairs to the third floor. There was also no key assess to the 3rd floor when coming from the 3P. The 3p door also failed to open for us on our second day.
We were flying out early the next morning, so needed a place to crash. The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly. 1 elevator was broken, but no big deal as the hotel wasn't that busy. The room was clean, and the pool was nicely heated. The hot tub was broken, which was a bit of a let down, but the pool was warm, and the area was well looked after. They even had a shuttle service to and from the airport. Very accommodating as we needed a 6am shuttle. The restaurant had wonderful food!
My husband and I Stayed here May 2016. Service to and from the airport was prompt and very good. Breakfast was included. Microwave and fridge in room. Nice big shower. The staff are all very friendly, would stay again.
Nice hotel, decent hotel. Stayed 2 nights. First night, the room had no heat. Staff were not able to correct problem. Brought in portable heater. Heater wasn't very effective. The second night was great. I would stay at this hotel again, and I recommend this hotel to other people. Efficient airport service
The staff at this hotel stands out with their pleasantness and helpfulness. They are willing to go an extra mile to make their guests happy. All the staff from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the chef at the restaurant are just exemplary in their roles. The hotel itself is kind of stylish, the room I stayed at had floor boards not carpet, which was okay, not great.. Just okay. The room seemed clean and room service always did a great job. Now the things that I think they need to work on. The elevators are extremely slow, it sounds trivial to complain about something like that, but the fact that I am mentioning it should tell you that it is SLOW! It is the difference between making it on time to ur meeting, or work, or being late-slow. They really need to look into it. Whats worse is they have no staircase that goes directly to the lobby, the stairs go to the basement with the pool and gym, they go to the roof, and they go to the parking lot, but not to the lobby..... I don't think they thought things out in their design. Another issue that could have been avoided easily, the hot tub did not work for my entire stay. I was there for the Victoria Day long weekend, the hotel was packed and they should have brought a rush repair for that. Last issue which really bothered me was the bed. Although very comfortable and clean, it squeaked every time you move on it, sit on it, stand up from it, I'm not sure if it's because there is no carpet underneath or if it's just an old bed. But I hated that fact, and that alone will make me not return. Everything else was satisfactory; the gym had just 3 treadmills, 1 elliptical, and a few free weights. Not much for a real gym nut. There was a pool and non-working hot tub. Parking was about $11.00 a night which I hated. The buffet breakfast was great and all other basic amenities were fine.
Basic hotel, needs updated, needs faster elevator or at least let you take the steps up to your floor. One elevator was broken so you had to wait. The stairs do not allow for outside entrance to any floor except the 2nd so it forced you to use the slow elevator. And if you are on the fifth floor like I was you had to get off one elevator on the fourth floor and change elevators to get to the 5th floor.
Stayed one night before a morning flight. The hotel was updated, clean and comfortable and very close to airport. We did encounter a couple of issues during our stay which I brought to the attention of management the next day. Our concerns were addressed in a very caring and professional manner. While Amanda, the manager, was not able to change the issues we had, she did do everything in her power to compensate us for our inconvenience. She also thanked me for bringing my concerns to her attention so she could use our experience as a learning tool for the employees, as they are striving for excellence in customer service. And that is why I would definitely recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay here again!
Used this hotel to park the car for 7 days in the covered parking garage. We then stayed the night on our return. Flight did not arrive in Toronto till 1:30am but we had no problem getting the shuttle and the desk clerk was very friendly when we arrived at 3am for checkin. Used a Groupon and it was great! Nice, clean room and breakfast was included with our stay. Will use this service again!!
We stayed for one night in April 2017 and then used their parking and shuttle service to get to and from the airport for a week trip. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful, especially the front desk attendant Naomi. Will go back next time we are heading to the airport for a week long trip.
Loved this hotel and will use it every time I fly out of Toronto from now on. Right next door to the airport - with a shuttle. Extended parking with a hotel night stay - had a Groupon and it was great! Nice, clean room and covered parking garage. Front desk staff was great and super helpful!
Good hotel to stay at with small but nice suites with a comfortable bed. Extended stay parking available and unlike previous review you do have access to the hotel from the parking garage. Heat didn't work in room and no one to fix it but did provide a radian heat source which worked ok
I really like this hotel, small, convenient to the airport, great price. I have my own cleaning company in Muskoka. First notice in 'our' room. the hardwood floors were dirty, bathroom floor had dark hairs on the floor, yuck! but..beds were lovely & clean, room very quiet in the am, the staff are always great, super helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant, fish & chips were delicious, very slow, new guy starting..understandable. We'll def. stay again~
Without having a reservation, I was welcomed by the front desk staff with a smile and very warm personality! The check-in process was quick & easy, as the room was beyond comfortable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
Was there only one night...had a perfect stay. Nothing to complain about! Rooms are great, clean, comfortable, much better than a lot of other hotels i've been around the airport. Parking is 12$ but most hotels will charge you around there.
We actually did not stay here in order to fly anywhere, but the next time we do fly out, this place will be on our list. Although it is directly over the flight path, when we checked in on a Thursday afternoon, we heard only one plane during our entire stay. This was a different hotel until early 2016, when it became a Best Western. The hotel is filled with paintings and photos of airplanes and airport stuff. Front office staff was very friendly and provided us with an upgrade. Our room had been re-decorated and instead of the usual bland but safe colours, had bold strokes and unusual colours. Another unique feature was that there was NO carpet on the floor! How refreshing. The TV was huge and the WIFI worked well. There was a KEURIG coffee maker in the room and a fridge with a freezer compartment. We had a pull out couch and believe it or not, it was as comfortable as a regular bed. There is a restaurant on site, and a few others within walking distance. We had dinner there and found that one pizza was enough to feed both of us AND it was one of the best that we have ever had. Breakfast was free via a coupon and you could order off the menu. A huge bowl of freshly cut up fruit, was really a great addition to the breakfast. There are only two minor complaints. The hot tub was not working and parking was $11.00, but this close to the airport, every hotel charges. We will return.
Hotel room was good for my stay. The girl at the front desk was really friendly. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because breakfast isn't included with the stay. The biggest one is parking, if I am staying at a hotel the date should be marked on the ticket they give you and should be free. 10 dollars for one night parking when I am staying at your hotel is ridiculous. But as stated before stay itself was good.
We stayed for one night, and parked our car for the week. It was ok for a stop over like we did. Do not expect anything fancy. I saw a raccoon walking at the front doors of the hotel. The front desk staff was good. We had a drink at night at the bar, and had coffee in the morning, and our shuttle came on time. Pick up was a breeze. I just called the hotel, when I got off the plane, as I was picking up my luggage. The shuttle came in 5 minutes, so no issue there. If you are just using the hotel as a stop over, then I recommend it~ other than that, I can't say much.
The front desk people at check in and check couldn't do enough for me, friendly and accommodating, I would defiantly stay here again. The rooms were clean and comfortable. best nights sleep in a hotel in a long time.
This hotel is probably fine if you're looking for a clean place to stay for one quick night. I was a bit annoyed with all the things that didn't seem to work: the coffee maker wouldn't work, toilet didn't flush, and room temperature was too cool and heater was very noisy. I didn't find the bed particularly comfortable, so I didn't sleep well. When I mentioned the coffee maker not working in the morning, I was given a voucher to use in the restaurant, but it was so busy and the one server was so overrun that I left without my coffee after waiting 5 minutes. On the plus side, everything looked clean and stylish here. If nowhere else is available or this is the only thing to fit you budget, you'll probably be better off than me (assuming they fix the things that don't work). Another small note: This hotel was called BWP when I booked online - I had no idea what that meant and I almost did not book here because I tend to stay at chains I know. When you get to the hotel, the sign says Best Western Premier. This was confusing and I'm not sure why they wouldn't make the Best Western brand clear online if that's what they're using.
Front desk lady was argumentative when I told her that the hot tub was broken, gym equipment was broken, dry sauna was broken, wet spa was broken. I didn't have a bath tub (which to be honest I didn't ask about but kind of assumed I'd have). And this is one of the only places I've ever stayed that didn't offer breakfast. When I pointed these out to the front desk girl she kept telling me that these were "unforeseen". Clearly missing my point that I'm paying for amenities that were advertised but not available. Needless to say, I'll never be back here again. Of all the hotels available in this city...I'm kinda pissed actually.
did a late check-in and was advised no room for us on airport shuttle so we had to pay for a cab. Parked on top floor of garage (no lights on top floor) but wasn't given a key to get back in to hotel so walked down 5 flights in the garage then hassled to buy drugs by someone in garage. In at midnight and leaving at 3 am so not worth sleeping so watched a bit of TV but half the channels didn't even work. We will never go back to this location...and they call this place "Premier"? Wow.
This is the 2nd year we have stayed at this Hotel (previously Indigo). Smooth Check in and out. Comfortable rooms - great bed and shower. Service to Airport was prompt at both ends of the travel. We did not use any of the hotel facilities - other than the restaurant (which was good) Not much in the immediate area (if walking) but for a airport hotel great service, close to airport, good shuttle service, comfortable rooms at a reasonable price.
Though I booked this hotel just because we had an early flight, I was so surprised how nice it was! The rooms seemed to have been renovated recently, and were clean and in good shape. We had a quick dinner at the restaurant, which we thought was quite good (and at a good price!) Staff was friendly and helpful, and it was a quick commute to the terminal in the morning!
By far one of the better hotels I have stayed in. The staff were very friendly and outgoing. I was made to feel very welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The place was clean and looked very nice. I would definitely stay there again.
Hotel has been upgraded, but the floors were dirty and the pillow cases were wet when we got in bed.At least they smelled like bleach. Bugs in bathroom by toilet. We got in at 12:30am and the parking garage was full.
Very nice hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Wet spa, dry spa, pool and hot tub. Restaurant served a great meal at a reasonable price. Air traffic does not disturb sleep. Will definitely be back. Parking for airport available as well.
Happy and helpful people make a big difference! Great layout, great T.V.,nice coffee station with fridge and micro. Excellent water pressure and could get very hot and very cold water from the tap. Big desk, ample drawers and hangers. I was not a fan of the ergonomic desk chair and the lamp shades were too big for the side tables. Great airport pickup and drop off service. I am going back on my way back home.
The steam room and whirl pool were not functioning. The electricity went off in the entire hotel on more than one occasion. I got stuck in the washroom pitch black with no way of seeing how to get out. Luckily, I had my cell phone and used the limited lighting to feel my way out. What a horror story that was! The hotel has a different color of paint but still looks like the Indigo. I won't go back because it is not a Premier Hotel. We usually stay at the Marriott but wanted to see how this hotel was upgraded.
Hotel was undergoing a remodel at the time of staying. Close to the airport which made an early morning flight reasonable. Very reasonable price and included an airport shuttle. Would think about staying here again.
We only got there late in the evening and left early the next day, so not a lot to comment on except we didn't feel safe using the parking garage in the back. It was dark, narrow corridors getting in&out, no window in the doors to see what was on the other side and plenty of blind spots. Not my first time in the area, but it was the first time feeling this way. Also, you're right beside the airport, so don't expect it to be quiet with all the planes flying over you.
we stayed in this hotel march 19th, we must say we were quite surprised by the other guests. we had not been informed of the event they were hosting that weekend. the pool/hot tub area was not very comfortable to be in with the amorous other couples. and a ride in the elevator left my wife wanting a shower and me wondering if we had stumbled into Amsterdam. somewhere on the 4th floor they mentioned they were serving alcohol in the hallway and the music was so loud it could be heard in the elevator as soon as you got on in the lobby, so other then a few hundred very lets say "open" other guests. the hotel was itself not bad. the bed was comfortable. the food at the restaurant was very well done, although a little long to get to the table it was definitely worth waiting for, I wont hold the hotel responsible for the actions of the other guests. most were very polite. ( MOST ) over all nice hotel that we would stay at again but would ask at booking of any Lifestyle events being held. our room seemed very clean, and while we didnt see and house keeping staff im sure after the weekend lots of laundry and steam cleaning would have been done. if you are expecting a Best Western Premier then this may not be the best fit. if you want a nice hotel with good food and maybe an inappropriate encounter then this is definitely the place,
We stayed for 1 nite before our fight. Rooms were spacious, simple, and clean. We did not like the half shower wall (water everywhere). This was a good value for price PD. We would stay again. There was no real noise from the planes!!!
Walking distance to many restaurants and clubs,Shuttle to airport, and onsite covered parking, really make this an easy stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious, and recently renovated. The lobby was large and comfortable, with easy access to the on site restaurant that was quite good. Staff were friendly and helpful.. I will definitely stay again.
I stay at the airport often, and this was my first stay at this property. I was happy with everything. Location is walking distance to many restraunts and other attractions, although the on site restraunt wase fine. Parking was easy, and covered. Room was clean and comfortable, and the Wifi was good. I will return.
We stayed here in February, 2016 the night before an early flight and parked in the covered parkade for nine days. The shuttle service was prompt and courteous and so convenient. Another guest told us the rooms had been renovated, that it was actually an older hotel but it looked like a new hotel. The walk-in shower was a treat and the room was outfitted with every necessity. Although it is located right off the end of a runway and planes pass low overhead, it was quiet in our room. We met friends elsewhere for dinner so we were not able to experience the dining room, but we would definitely stay here again so maybe next time.
We have stayed here for years when it was Hotel Indigo, then it became BWP airport Hotel as it worked it way towards becoming a Best Western Premier Hotel which it has just become after doing work on it. The rooms are great and the staff are friendly. You can stay there overnight, with one weeks parking and with 2 weeks parking packages including shuttle. The down fall was the lobby and especially the restaurant were freezing and we had to wear our coats in the restaurant. They only had one waitress who had worked there only one month. They should had 2. Also the food was not bad but not great. This will be a great hotel if they correct the heat (or lack of one the first floor) and improve the restaurant.
Totally disgraceful.. BEDBUGS (I actually caught and showed to management).. had to change rooms 3 times upon arrival.. first had wrong room as per booking arrangements.. was told they were full and had no alternate room for me until I got angry..miraculously they had a queen room avail suddenly lol.. then moved to a room that was unclean and had no working television..then to another room where I was finally happy everything looked fine and worked properly but at 3 am rolled over to find bed bugs crawling on the blanket and arm chair. DISGUSTING! staff was rude and dismissive from beginning to end. Then it took a week for them to take the room deposit off my credit card (which I shouldn't have had to provide anyways because I was traveling on business and the arrangements were the responsibility of the company) DON'T STAY HERE UNLESS U WANT TO BE FRUSTRATED AND GROSSED OUT AND THEN HAVE TO HAVE ALL UR BELONGINGS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED SO U DON'T HAVE BEDBUGS COME HOME WITH U.
The hotel has a great location in accordance to coming off the highway and getting to the airport. So easily accessible. Very clean. The front desk wasn't busy at all and was very fast. The parking is indoor parking which is fantastic during the winter. You return to your vehicle not buried in snow. The shuttle service to and from the airport was very quick as well. Your so close to the airport, look out your window , you see the highway and the airport right there, its great and not surprisingly not noisy at night. Room was nice and big, very clean and comfy with a great walk in shower. I highly recommend this location
Stayed here one night. Nice and clean, comfy beds. Lovely staff. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and it was good and reasonable. Covered parking. Fantadtic shuttle and driver to the airport...very friendly. Shuttle also fits 8 people with all luggage. Only negative the hot tub is not hot, just warm, with no powerful jets
We booked here for a park and fly before our flight. I put address into GPS so had no problem finding it but friends who came after dark drove by twice. Was told they could not turn sign on until official name change. Check in was easy- looked like new staff just learning but efficient. Room was very clean and very quiet. Pool was cool but the hot tub was not working- water luke warm and no jets. Dining room staff was brand new- only one new waitress for the whole dining room. Paper copy of menu but food was ok. Worked fine for us as we did not want to leave hotel on cold night. Parked on 4th level (covered) and used the inside access to the car when we returned so no difficulty wandering around the ramp. Would stay there again- price was right
Our room was very clean and comfortable. Close to Pearson International airport. Parking in a multi-level garage is very secure. Free shuttle to and from airport was very prompt. Would stay here again. There is a restaurant on premises.
