Very pleased with this hotel, close to transit options, bus/subway and a mall within easy walking distance for shop/groceries. and easy access to Hwy 400. I would stay here again without question. The room were very clean and bed was comfortable.

We came to Toronto.. weren't planning on spending the night but very glad that we did the whole experience with this hotel was wonderful from the minute I checked into the minute we left. The front desk staff were amazing very friendly and very helpful. It was Labor Day so the restaurant was closed which was the only thing that I missed because I would have gone down for a drink or dinner and breakfast the next morning other than that overall a great experience

Found this nice hotel hidden in a quaint area north of downtown. Really quite hotel with free parking and a swimming pool. No complaints whatsoever. The staff was pleasant and was quick to say hello on the way in and out. Would definitely recommend. And for safety it is next to a police station.

This hotel is next doors to a police station so felt safe staying there. We walked down to the main street to take bus for a ride to the subway which is convenient. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast wasn't included with our stay, so hopped onto McDonald that isn't too far way on that main street. I used my Best Western points so didn't have to pay for the room.

This works out well for us. The subway is a short walk which made it easy to get around. The bed was comfortable but there was a smoke smell in the halls. Nice that the window could be opened. Really good breakfast and good value.

I was a bit worried after booking this hotel for I had heard that this hotel is located in a high crime area of Toronto. I booked because it was close to wonderland and one of the lower cost hotels. The hotel had a good sized pool and hottub. Restaurant on site (no buffet). Room was fine and all needed. My worries were gone once I arrived to see the hotel is right next to a police station . Would stay here or the holiday inn on the other side of the police station again.

We liked the hotel and the staff was accommodating to our change in plans. Liked that it had a couch in the room so had place other than bed to sit on at times. is a good location. close to transportation and close to expressways.. planned it as it was close to Black Creek Pioneer Village we wanted to visit and was close to public transportation. They have a discounted deal with the restaurant next door.

Stayed one night with my family. It was flawless. I did not experience one issue. Pool was great, tons of towels, restaurant looked nice. It was quiet and clean with super fluffy pillows. I have worked in the industry for 20+ years. I will stay here again.

We have stayed here in the past and previously enjoyed it but this time it was horrible. Where to start..first of all our toilet stopped working at least 5 times during our 5 night stay. This was clearly a recurring issue the staff was aware of and each time we told them about it they would fix it temporarily only for it to happen again in less than 24 hours. The toilet in room 420 CLEARLY NEEDS TO BE PERMANENTLY FIXED OR REPLACED. Also, the first night we stayed there was the last night of an EDM festival, and we were put right around several rooms with people obviously going to that festival - they were loud, drinking,etc. As soon as we got to our room and heard the noise coming from the rooms around us I went down and asked to be switched but we were told we couldn't. They need to have a quiet floor or section of the hotel, clearly. There was absolutely no soundproofing (I hope the construction that is going on is to address that) and we could hear everything- people shouting, music, laughing, even talking, until about 2 a.m. when we finally called down and they brought someone up to tell them to be quiet. The ice machine was out of order on at least two of the floors when I went to get ice. The pillows were lumpy and unsupportive. The service in the restaurant where we had breakfast a few days was spotty, had to wait quite a long time for a coffee refill. The bathroom for the restaurant also looked like a scene out of a horror movie. There were lights flickering, stains on several of the wall tiles and one of them was half caved in, it was very broken down looking and clearly not taken care of properly. Half of the toilets were unflushed/couldn't be flushed and also when I went to wash my hands I got scalded by hot water even when I had turned the tap to cold. The one positive was the wifi speed was good. In summary, this hotel's standards have fallen way below our expectations and previous experiences and as there are many other hotels in the area to choose from the next time we come to North York, we will be staying elsewhere unless they address these issues.

The amenities are very good. I did not use the restaurant this trip but when I have, the food is very good. Service in the hotel and the restaurant is always professional and helpful. The renovations are also very nice

We did enjoy our stay and any requests were addressed by the front desk. However when it came to correcting issues the people responsible to correct them were late or forgot to even acknowledge what was wrong. Hence going back to the front desk and gong through the process again. We did experience an power outage twice on the last day of our stay, which is out of their control, yet I thought that it was odd that they did not have any backup emergency lighting in the building with exception to the Exit signs.

The Falkenburg Arms in Coxwold is a gem. Comfortable accomodation, good food, and amazing staff who go the extra mile who made our stay particularly memorable. They could only offer a room with walk in shower for one of our two night stay, but invited us to use the walk in shower in an un-occupied room on the first night at no extra charge.

We had a mixed experience. Plus Side: Staff, room and public area cleanliness, room amenities and ample parking. Minus side: Tight room, little storage space, terrible commute to downtown (90 minutes) and about 1/2 mile to public rail. This would have gotten a higher rating, but like another review I read - The assigned room had a sleeping person in bed when we entered the room. Another room was quickly assigned Good for northern attractions (eg Science Center and Edward's Garden) For downtown attractions I suggest leave at 11AM and return after 8PM.

Our family got a room with two Queen beds, but were still cramped. The beds are about 1 ft. apart and the refrigerator was tiny in the room we booked. A bonus is that there is a cabinet door in front of the refrigerator that you can smack your hand on every 2 seconds. Everyone kept walking into the dresser, which was about 3 ft. from the beds. The pool was decent, with a long pool that goes from 4 ft. deep to 8 ft. deep and a 1 ft. deep hot tub. The pool room was small, and only had chairs for your belongings and a towel shelf. The glass door of the pool room was across from the elevator, and people can see you when you are in the pool from the elevator! The fitness room is small, and only holds a jump rope, two outdated 8-bit cycling machines, and two outdated 8-bit stepping machines, and one out-dated 8-bit treadmill. There is a tiny television in the the fitness room, and the wallpaper and carpet were hideous. I felt extremely cramped and the hotel just felt too populated for me. The bathrooms in the hotel rooms are the only good thing about this hotel. I was disappointed.

"Lovely hotel"

We stayed here last week for seven nights, we were on holiday, a long city break in Toronto. This is a lovely hotel, friendly reception staff and restaurant staff. We stayed in a queen room for two nights and a king for five nights (this was due to use changing our plans). Both rooms were spacious, tidy and modern, with a large tv, perfect for watching the England game in bed at 8am! Only used the pool once but it was ok, although there were no towels and it took a while to get some. Ate in the restaurant a few times both for breakfast and evening meals. Very good food, you get 15% off if you are resident. I would recommend the bruschetta for a starter. Excellent. Using public transport it takes exactly an hour to get from the hotel to downtown Toronto (this includes walking to the bus stop), take the 36a bus to Finch West subway station then get on the Southbound train to downtown Toronto. Very friendly and helpful staff at the subway. This information would've been handy before we went so hope it helps someone. Would definitely recommend this hotel even though it's a bit out of the centre.

James at the front desk is a gentlemen and all the staff professional and accommodating. I booked online through Hotels.com because my daughter needed a place today. Passed along the confirmation number to her and figured we were all set. Wasn't thinking about the need for a security deposit credit card as is typical for any check-in. Unfortunately, when my daughter arrived she was very upset and crying as a consequence of an unrelated issue that prompted me to go online and book the room for her so she could have a place to stay. James was a gentleman. He called to tell me he would need some paperwork (pre-authorization visa form and driver's license) from me since I booked the room and would be paying (my daughter didn't have a credit card) but he gave her the room key and let her in without me having to have the paperwork done first. A class Act! I mean, it only took 20 minutes or so by the time he sent me everything, I filled it out, copied and sent it back, but James saw immediately that the right thing to do was to give the young woman her room rather thatn make her sit in the lobby waiting for some paperwork to be done. As for the accommodations, I arrived the next day. We needed a second bed now. I asked to be moved to another room and offered to pay something additional for the change in accommodations and a second bed. James said, no problem sir, put us in another room and said "no additional charge" Nice touch. The following day, my daughter had dance rehearsal all day that would take he until 4:30. Check out time was at noon. James wasn't on duty. Another staff person was at the desk. Regrettably, I can't recall her name but for a small fee of $30, I could remain an additional 3 hours. No problem there. Happy to pay it and relax indoor as I watched Work Cup action. Oh, and the waitress in the kitchen, friendly, professional and the Club Sandwich was excellent. All things being said and done, iI was very pleased with the accommodations, the staff and the experience,

Rated very high for Value. Low cost, but well-executed, easy parking and accessible to major thoroughfares. Room was modern, spotless, well-supplied, staff pleasant and helpful. Restaurant very pleasant. Used for an appointment at Davisville and Yonge, no problem getting there by car (except for usual Toronto gridlock) and way cheaper than a midtown hotel.

Lobby has very harsh lighting when arriving at night - energy efficient bulbs all around the check-in desk - very aggressive. Smell in hotel not great, kind of old and musty but window can be opened in rooms. We were impressed with how well noise levels were low despite party a few doors down (we were on main level with conference room just down the hall). Rooms are small, lighting in room is energy efficient. All in all, good value for the money.

Enjoyable hotel, lots of parking despite being a holiday and was not busy with people. Arrived early and staff were able to give us a room 3 hours ahead of check-in time. Staff are friendly and my family and I had the pool to ourselves! Only complaint is the clogged bathroom drain which was full of hair and was removed by us!! not the staff, and the tub wasn't filling as it should. When reported, staff came to look however was unable to provide any remedy and seemed to shrug it off as though there was no solution.

The already low price includes parking and breakfast, so we were not expecting much when we went into the room. However, the bathroom was modern and the room was clean and tastefully decorated. The bathtub was bubbled up a little on the bottom, but otherwise we had no issues with the room itself. Our room was in the "courtyard style" portion, and the streetlamp kept me awake. Also, breakfast is not until 8 a.m, so that can be a bit of a burden if you are a morning person, such as myself. The location is in walking-distance of the falls and the "main attractions", just be prepared for a hill.

we stayed here in may 2017 (tripadvisor only let me go back til june) for two nights. staff was friendly and the manager seemed to be on duty all time. it's right off the highway. there's not much around but if you take the next exit you'll find the riocan colossus centre with all kinds of stores, restaurants, cinema... to get to toronto, staff suggested driving to finch station which we did. we parked in the west lot and took the 1 train downtown. pretty easy, all together probably 60min, but if we took the car it would have been the same, so we chose less traffic. the rest of the facility looked nice, but we didn't use it. would stay here again.

I have been staying at this hotel now for about 3.5 years. Every month and sometimes twice in a month. People are pleasant and professional. The halls have been re-done recently and are bright and clean. Rooms are comfortable and offer everything I need. Coffee, Iron, Fridge and Microwave. The location is convenient for work and shopping. Really a very good location and value for the accommodation and service you receive.

Not sure what this property looked like before but it appears to have undergone renos and the place looks great. I was only there for a short stay so did not check out all the facilities.Nice bright lobby with desktop computers for guests. The room was fresh with very good lighting. I loved the fact that you could open a window. Bed was so comfortable. Lots of pillows! The room was well appointed with a sizeable fridge and microwave. TV worked great. Wi-fi worked like a charm and there are no limits on the number of devices. Staff were very friendly. Parking was free. Property was easy to find off the 400 north. I ate fish & chips at the coffee shop Element and it was quite tasty. Would definitely stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised! Room was newly renovated. Comfortable and very clean. Facility was very clean overall. We enjoyed our stay! Restaurant was great! We ate breakfast there twice and dinner once. Food was fresh and good quality. Price was VERY reasonable.

Pool and hot tub were excellent. Towels were provided in the pool area. Room was very nice. The café didn't open until 8am though. There was complimentary coffee, no water and no snackable breakfast items for those leaving before 8am.

Stayed overnight on a Monday at this hotel. Booked hotel via Airmiles Blue Card. Cost was 1455 dream miles + $39 Can for King Suite. Hotel was undergoing renovations, however disruptions to guests were kept to a minimum. We were able to check in early, approx 1:30pm on date of arrival. King room on the 4th floor away from elevators and vending machines. Room had separate living room, sofa bed, full bathroom, TV, desk, microwave and mini fridge, coffee maker, as well as heating/cooling unit. Separate bedroom with glass door partition, king bed, TV, closet, full bathroom and heating/cooling unit. Pillows were excellent and bed nice and firm. Overall very comfortable room with sufficient space to relax. Hotel cleans and empties hot tub every Monday so we had to wait till 8-9pm for it to heat up enough to use. It was quite comfortable. Next morning we used it again and it was VERY Hot. Did not try the restaurant, but it looked good with reasonable prices. There was plenty of free parking but due to snow storm, it was a bit slippery and slushy. The hotel has free coffee in the lobby, free newspapers and free WiFi. This is our first trip to this area of Vaughn, did some shopping and eating out. Would recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay again if we are in the area.

Cindy & Nick at the front desk were awesome! King suite with jacuzzi was clean, very large, accessible from parking lot through patio doors. Restaurant was excellent ! Jacuzzi was clean, pool was a little chilly.

We stayed at this hotel last year as it is easy acess off the 400, and fairly close to the airport. We had fast friendly check in and the room was modern and clean. The restaurant was under staffed, but the food was good. Great hotel will stay again on our next vacation

Clean, quiet and close to transit and lots of free easily accessible parking. Getting to downtown Toronto was easy with one bus and a transfer to the Metro. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A very enjoyable place to stay.

One night stay for 2 people. Location is convenient and easy to find just off Highway 400 at Finch Ave and parking was ample. Easy check-in and out. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Nothing flashy but perfect for what I needed. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed here because I didn't want to drive downtown. It is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but if all you need is a good bed and good food, it's a pretty good deal. The bed and bedding were nice. So was the ambiance. The colors. There is a bathtub. Room was perfect for one person but might seem cramped for two. They are renovating but there wasn't an issue with dirt or sound. The restaurant (Element?) was above and beyond. Excellent freshly made carrot soup and a wonderful grilled portobello mushroom/veggie sandwich. The yogurt and fruit parfait was also very good. My only complaint was that the coffeee wasn't ready at 7 am.

This has been our fourth stay at this hotel, and we'll be back on our next visit with our son. We had to make a change at the last minute with playoff hockey games, but the hotel was able to make it work with our room request and with only one change. A big ‘shout out' to Al with our 2nd check-in late last night. We absolutely love our room. Thank you. We love the friendly staff throughout the hotel, and know we'll be back on our next visit to Toronto.

We were in Toronto on a family visit for the weekend. This hotel was near where we having an event. The hotel had been recently renovated and it was excellent. Clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful and the value I got for what I paid was excellent. I recommend this hotel.

I stay often at this hotel during my business travels and it is my preferred hotel. Clean, comfortable and consistently meeting and exceeding expectations. Staff is fantastic and makes the stay a welcoming experience. Hotel is completing a renovation but it has not affected my stays at all. Looks great!

My Husband and I are still on our 3 week Ontario business trip. We enjoy staying at Best Western hotels, so decided to stay at the North York location. Nick, the manager, was very friendly and efficient. This hotel does NOT have breakfast. You have to go to their adjoining restaurant. The room rate we had did not include breakfast. As diamond members, and seeing as though we would be staying for more than one night, we requested if it was possible to receive at least one complimentary breakfast. Nick gave us vouchers for our length of stay. Huge kudos go to Nick for his generosity. Our room was nice, clean and airy. It had the amenities we require. Recommended ......

I always go back to the same hotel because it's location is good ... just off Finch. It's beside the police station... nice and safe. Nice pool and hot tub and good service. The food is usually good been several times and only a couple of complaints the kitchen is quick to fix food.

They make it very clear they are going through Renovations. Our beds we definitely comfortable, and our housekeeping staff was extremely friendly. The pool and Spa are awesome, and open pretty late. All the front desk staff have been really nice too!

Best Western for many years now has been a run down chain with sites needing a much needed updating and Reno. They have tried but this site showed signs of poor workmanship and going halfway to catch up with the other chains. WiFi signal was weak in the rooms, cleaning staff were less than thorough and no complimentary breakfast. Won't be staying at Best Western sites any more.

The hotel has recently been renovated making the interior look and feel new. There is a restaurant located on site with decent food. It's a little outside downtown but it's a short 5 minute ride to the subway making it convenient to get downtown in 30 minutes. Hotel was clean quiet and comfortable. Will definitely be using this hotel on future visits to Toronto.

Josephine in Elements restaurant which is attached to the hotel was superb. She was kind, courteous and great with our two 11 year old children (boy and a girl), making suggestions for fun activities to do while we stayed. They looked forward to seeing her each day to tell her about the adventures they had whilst we were away. Thank you Josephine!

We had a 2 night getaway booked in Toronto and unfortunately weren't able to sleep either of these nights. The first night everyone was very uncomfortable due to the very firm pillows (not the end of the world though) and we did ask if there were other pillows and were greeted by a housekeeper with an older style. I do have to admit this was a positive during our stay - that our concerns and complaints were addressed and resolved immediately. However, the second night we had multiple calls to our room from midnight until 4 am. The phone doesn't have a distinct ring, but rather a "beep" so we had a lot of trouble in our sleep trying to determine what was happening. I spoke repeatedly with whoever was calling and with a thick accent they kept specifying "wrong room, sorry" followed by multiple other calls and breathing and hang-ups and voicemails. I went to the lobby and they advised to take the phone off the hook. I realize this is beyond the control of the hotel and/ or staff however it really did have a huge negative impact on our trip. We have always had really good luck with our local best western located here in London Ontario, which was why we chose this chain when visiting Toronto. Due to our experiences I can't say we will be returning or recommending this specific branch. We will also be learning local area codes for the future and ensuring we don't get put in the same room #.

A business trip brought me to this hotel. Sadly, it was a choice that came with many bad moments. The management of this branch needs to pay closer attention to training their staff, who are friendly but not professional. The lack of maintenance is also evident, with chopped plates, scratched furniture, and damaged window screens and bathroom curtains! There is only one restaurant with a small menu but nice food. The service is okay, although I had my order mixed up once, and waiting for 5 minutes to get the bill is almost normal here! Free WiFi is available everywhere in the building, but it gets slow at times. This hotel can give a much better experience, if the management believed it.

My experience: 1. Fecal matter on back of toilet 2. Filthy unchanged bedsheets from previous guest 3. Staff who checked on me, but did nothing to rectify my issues or compensate me when notified of them. 4. I ended up cleaning the toilet and replacing the bed sheets in my room for clean bed sheets from house keeping. 5. I would not recommend a stay at this hotel for anyone.

We stayed in the king suite. Having the jacuzzi in the bedroom was excellent after a long day of walking for sightseeing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and pillows. We are planning to return in July and have already decided to stay at this location.

Recently renovated, excellent restaurant and fairly priced, this location was the best value for the area. Staff were superb. A well managed establishment. We stayed 3 nights on a recent visit and had no issues. Hotel staff go out of their way to please and seem to genuinely like their jobs. Food was excellent, so no need to seek restaurants nearby. There is also a huge mall 10 mins north by car. (Vaughan)

Ya know I really want to like this place. With the new renovations the lobby looks gorgeous. They're trying, an effort that's not going unappreciated but I got some issues. WiFi..when the speed is so bad you find yourself at Tim's down the street to get anything done, that's a problem. It randomly drops my tablet, my phone keeps giving up and going back to cellular, and my laptop won't load basic webpages. It's a mess. Tv, what is going on with the audio blackouts. Every channel, random audio blackouts. In the course of a 30 minute show, you'll lose audio for 10 of them. Don't watch anything important, you'll have no idea what was said. Bathroom remodel looks good, well lit, nice tile. However they failed to fix the cracks in the tub enamel which looks tacky. I also found several hairs on the tub on check in which shows a lack of good cleaning. Beds are super comfy, thick pillows, thick blankets. Honestly their great. The room clock is at least 8 yrs old, has an old school 30 pin iPod dock which benefits no one. The AC is good, quiet, wall controlled. There are definite signs of lipstick on a pig in places, you can see poor workmanship in the paint on the walls and in the hallways recently redone. I don't ding the trip for their renovations as hey, it's got to happen at some point. But the issues above are why I took it down some stars, not the renovation noise and debris.

Check in was easy and the 2 men working the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It had a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. We did not eat at the attached restaurant. This was the first Best Western Plus we have stayed at that did not have free breakfast. The free parking was nice.The hotel was very quiet, so sleeping issues. The only negative is that the shower could of been cleaned better as there was a lot of hair on the shower floor that we had to rinse down the drain.

Over all, we were quite pleased with our three night stay here in early October. First the positives. We were on a driving holiday so staying downtown with traffic issues, parking costs and the general exorbitance of accommodations downtown made this a convenient and ideal place for us to stay. Lots of free parking and contrary to a few posted observations, it seemed perfectly safe to us. Its in amongst several other hotels in a wide open area and I suspect that can be foreboding for some folks. We had a suite consisting of a living room, bedroom and best of all, two large bathrooms, ideal for two people getting ready for the day simultaneously. There were TV's in both the living room and bedroom, again an ideal scenario for a couple with different tastes in programming. We had no concerns with the condition or cleanliness of the rooms and furnishings and the beds met our demanding standards of comfort. One unique feature of the bathrooms was that after a hot shower, only the peripheries of the mirror fogged up, the large middle portion perfectly clear! Lastly, from check in to check out, we found the staff of the hotel proper unfailingly polite and attentive to our needs and requests. There were just a few niggly things that I felt were just irritating enough to prevent me from giving 5 stars. First, the TV in the bedroom worked perfectly but the one in living room had, for some reason, some reception issues. Prime channels from 3 to 8 were unavailable period, and all the channels from 31 higher would break up constantly. We noted our concern on the first day but the matter wasn't rectified during our stay. Not a big thing to be sure but... Secondly, the hot tub was not operational during our stay and the poor maintenance fellow who tried to get it working indicated that he reported the issue to the owners and the ball was in their court now. Judging from subsequent reviews, it looks like this was an ongoing issue for quite awhile but may have been recently resolved. But for those for whom this perk is important, I'd be sure to inquire as to whether it's working properly before committing to their stay. Finally, we were visiting the sights and golfing during our stay. Hence, we tended to dine elsewhere during our travels but liked to have a nightcap in the lounge prior to retiring. The attached restaurant/lounge seems to fit the bill for many. Our experiences are somewhat mixed. The lounge area is relatively small, an extension of the restaurant which had the ambience of a cafeteria. That aside, the facility closes at 10:00 P.M. and toward the closing hour, it seemed that the bartender/waitress was responsible for serving the whole facility and doing closing tasks. That meant that she was absent from the bar for extended periods. I imagine that extra staff wouldn't necessarily be cost efficient but under the circumstances, I think it behooves staff to assure customers needs are met before moving onto other tasks. All in all, the positives far outweigh the gripes and if it was possible, I'd give the place 4 and 1/2 stars and perhaps on another three days in a different room, it would earn 5 stars. The potential is there. Still excellent value for an expensive city to visit!

My favorite part of this room is the separate bathroom. It is not located in the bedroom, which for me is wonderful. I wake up earlier than my boyfriend to get ready and it was nice to not have to worry about disturbing someone.

This spot is close to the highway 400 and very convenient to shopping and great dinning. Our room was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Or room was on the fifth floor and very quiet. Cleaner , Anna was lovely and took great pride in her job. Poole was clean and warm. Breakfast was good but service was a little slow. Kitchen manager fellow seemed to be working hard and was very attentive to us. The lady who worked with him, not so much. I will stay again with these folks. Everyone seemed very happy to be working there which often is a reflection of how they are treated by management. Thanks

We saw some "poor" reviews on other sites and were concerned if things would be OK. They were just fine. A nice clean room, free parking and WIFI, a quiet area, friendly service. One think that was often given poor reviews was the attached bar and lounge. We ate there three times in three days and were pleased by the flavors, servings and price for the food. NO complaints here. We even got some poutine that wasn't listed on the menu. BREAKFAST was LARGE ! It's about maybe 30 from downtown so you're going back and forth. That was fine with us. We recommend them and would return.

My brother,sisterinlaw and i had a 2 day appt at princess maragret hospital.instead of driving home we decided to stay somewhere.my sisterinlaw booked at the best western.even tho it was a far drive from the hospital and we thought before we go there again it was to far and not worth it.but once we got to the hospital and it was lovely we decided it was worth the drive.a great place to stay.all the stuff where very helpful and i loved my room.

The hot tub did not seem to work. It did not get hot and wasn't even warm. The restaurant is nice and food is good. Additional staff is needed in the restaurant. One member is not enough. Room was nice and bet was very comfy.

Hotel is reasonably priced with good amenities. Parking was free and that is a bonus when traveling in the Toronto area. Location was great for us a we were attending an activity at York University. I also enjoyed the location right off the 400 avoiding the heavy traffic on the 401.

This hotel was well appointed and clean with comfortable rooms. The disappointment was in the pool where the hot tub was cold and then drained the next morning. Breakfast was not provided but the restaurant was very reasonable in breakfast at around $6

Recently held a large meeting for 30 people at the Best Western Plus. The staff was extremely professional and helpful. Paula, the lead kitchen manager we directly worked with was phenomenal, very accommodating. The room was laid out very well, Paula was able to coordinate a timed breakfast for our early morning working staff, which was greatly appreciated. Lunch was excellent, great variety of sandwiches on fantastic breads. Some of our key participants stayed over the night before, the rooms were very clean, well kept and comfortable. The only issue I noticed was that in three different hotel rooms, there were distinct scents that assailed the nose as we entered. Each room was different, the suite smelt of smoke and the other two normal rooms had other unusual smells. I'd recommend this hotel, and the in-house restaurant with it's great selection and reasonable prices.

The staff was exceptional (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Wait Staff in restaurant). We would recommend a wider selection of pillows. The one's in the room were all firm & for us arthritus people not good. The carpet needs a thorough deodorization or a change in cleaning product as it lacked a sense of that clean feeling.

Recently stayed. Wifi was horrible - horrible. Pillows were crappy. The box spring was on a metal platform and every time you moved it made noises. The "patio" that I paid extra for was a joke. We could hear everything. Not worth the money and would not stay and/or recommend. Hotel restaurant was very expensive.

I really enjoyed that the room had a microwave and fridge (great sized fridge). It was far enough from the chaos of Toronto, but close enough to enjoy the sites. The staff were very helpful and supportive. Within 1 hour of being in my room they called to make sure I liked my room. It was a quiet hotel and parking was VERY easy. The pool was a little smaller then expected but still great for a casual swim. The hot tub was hit and miss whether it was working which was a concern. Overall I would stay here again!

The reception at this hotel was most warm. The people went out of their way to satisfy our needs. Although we are in town for a funeral, their pleasant attitudes picked up our spirits. The bed and linens were marvellous after a long trip. Even though we were on the top floor near the airport, we heard nothing. A restful night for sure! They have been informed about the need for brighter bedside lamps and for better shower heads in the bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay in a very clean, quiet, modern, hotel with friendly helpful staff and a nice warm pool. We traveled into the city for work, but with our two very small children and felt very welcome. Staff also made check-out in the morning quick and simple to let us get on our way with our two groggy toddlers. Overall, it was an excellent experience and we'd go back there a second time in a heartbeat if we were traveling through that area again.

This hotels fulfills the criteria when you are driving through Canada and looking for a hotel outside city centre, next to highways. But dont expect anything more. Pros: comfortable room, generally clean Free and plenty of parking Very tasty food in hotels restaurant, either for dinner or breakfast Easy access to highways Good priced breakfast Cons: we found some hair in bathtub at arrival Veeeery slow service in hotels restaurant, reserve at least 45min even for breakfast Generally, we would recommend this hotel.

Even though we are next to the highway, we are very frequently complimented for having very quiet rooms, with no highway traffic noise problems. "A nice hotel that's a little too far away"

It's a nice, clean hotel with decent service and a great, but slightly pricey restaurant. Beds could have been a little more comfortable and I got overcharged for room service one night. It's a little too far away from everything though.

The Review and Pictures posted are deceiving not at all what is at the property a shabby shady property located in a high crime area no lighting around,rooms are very small,not clean,smelly and dark corridors no internet services available in room and absolutely disappointed and disgusted when i went there with my family.I checked in and checked out the same night.

I had a very positive experience here. I selected the two room suite and was quite pleased with the space. If staying for more than a night or two, this is the way to go. Everything in the room worked fine, no complaints at all. The staff was professional and courteous and all my interactions were positive. I did not use the restaurant; therefore, cannot speak to the speed of service or lack thereof that has been mentioned in other reviews. There are several restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The rooms have a fridge and microwave so you can stock up on groceries and go the cheap route. If I was to pick at anything, I believe some upgrades can be made to the fitness center equipment. It is ok but does show the wear and tear. With regard to the location, it is actually a pretty good distance from the highway and traffic noise is not a factor. Buses run along Finch Ave every few minutes; therefore, it is possible to get downtown and elsewhere without having a car at your disposal. The comments about this area being a bad/rough area are certainly a matter of perspective but I never perceived it as being dangerous at all. After deliberating on deciding where to stay, I chose this hotel and am very happy I did. I believe the staff makes an honest effort to provide a nice place to stay. I would certainly return here.

The hotel is very modern looking and is of a high standard , I could not pick fault with anything , the rooms, lobby, reception were all kept in a clean and welcoming way,breakfast was a delight. The indoor pool was true to photographs upon the hotel website, large, clean and warm too, it was a great way to start the morning.

I would not recommend this hotel. The staff was snappy and abrupt. Service in restaurant was lacking in staff. My room was left open for hours and my bathroom was dirty. I was disappointed in the front desk service and that my room was not ready at 5PM at night and I had to wait to check in.

Went for a holiday weekend. Great price. Close to shopping and dining not far from downtown. The staff was very helpful in every aspect. Location on the map seems far from everything. But it's actually closer.

Don't take the breakfast option, it is not worth it. You have a very restricted menu...one item only!! The item: 2 eggs, bacon , toast and a small coffee...that's it. The price is $5.99, breakfast option is $10.00. The service was extremely slow at breakfast. Line up of unsatisfied people. Avoid it!!

This hotel is just okay. I booked here to be close to the airport as well as a wedding venue. The photos looked nice enough. When I got into my room, it smelled like someone had been smoking for days in it. I was tired and wanted to crash so I left it and kept the air conditioning on full blast the entire weekend to help with the smell. I had a hard time locking my window (which was opened when I arrived - maybe related to the smoke smell?) and after about five minutes of toying with it I was able to secure it. The padlock on my door didn't seem to engage either, but I was able to keep the latch the make sure my door was secure. It was only okay for a hotel in my opinion and wouldn't book again. . It didn't feel the cleanest or most modern and could use some updating for sure. Maybe it was my bad luck with scoring a dud of a room. That being said, I mentioned the smell to the desk attendant at checkout and he was very apologetic.

I pick this hotel because it is 10 minutes away from York University where my son goes to school and I am able to get a suite where I can be in a separate room with separate bathroom. I find this to be very practical as he tends to stay up much later than I do. The food is actually very good but the service is VERY slow particularly at breakfast. I would leave a good hour to get in and out. Last time I stayed I ate at a separate restaurant because I knew it would make me late. Other than that the pool is great after a long drive and the hotel staff is nice.

Highly recommend this Hotel! Great staff, clean spacious rooms, wonderful restaurant, loved the pool and hot tub! Front end staff were professional and went the extra mile for our family. Would definitely stay here again for future trips. Thanks Nick!

I had a very good night sleep the bed was extremely confortable and there were no noise around the room. The staff at the clerk was friendly and it had lots of parking spaces and the hotel was near Canada's Wonderland wish was a big plus. Pleasant stay.

I said in Best Western's before. They are usually decent for the price you pay. But this one! I arrived late. They gave me a key and when I go to my room, surprise! The room was not made or there was already someone in. The TV was on and the bed was messy so I ran away as fast as I can!!!

its nice, downside was when we stayed on Aug 27/17 the pool was closed, was working in the afternoon when we got there, but was shut down later on, main reason I booked this hotel aside from the cheaper ones around was because of the pool. Kids were disappointed. The room was nice and clean, updated, pillows were really fluffy, you melt into them which is nice. Everything was what I expected in a room. Had a microwave and mini fridge, not all have the microwave. It was quiet, didn't hear much of the 400hwy which was a concern. Overall if the pool was working which was very warm and kids loved it when we first got there worked when we went back after supper it would have been a perfect start to our Canada's Wonderland adventure. They also sell tickets to Wonderland for 50 each (65 at the gate) we got our tickets at Costco for 40 each.

Everyone went out of their way to make my life easier. Helps me out with three kids! I booked a Canadas wonderland trip and it was well worth every penny. Room was great! Beds were soft and not much light came through the windows!!

I didn't appreciate what a huge benefit 2 full baths would be in our room. Great benefit. Hotel is clean, quiet, with easy access to Hwy400, close to Hwy407. Kids liked the pool (open till 11:00pm). Pullout sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. Fridge, air conditioning worked very well.

Great location for our event. Very friendly staff and comfortable room. We have stayed here before and will be returning this fall. Hopefully the construction in the parking lot will be complete. Pool is enjoyable to use.

Great service with professional staff ..the rooms are very nice and clean and the beds were comfortable, we did go to the pool and it was cloudy, but it was big enough and loved that there was a shower to rinse yourself. The breakfast at the restaurant wasn't as great as I was hoping and it was very pricey.

I stayed here in August and asked the front desk staff for a somewhat quiet section of the hotel. They put us right next to an elevator which clanked ALL NIGHT! The room was noisy and we didn't sleep at all. In the morning there was actually a crane outside out room window going up to the roof to fix their damn elevator! What a joke. When i messaged management after the trip they never even bothered to respond. I would never stay at this dump again...

"Nice enough place to stay"

Bit of a curious location; not close to downtown and not close to the airport either. In hindsight I wished I'd booked somewhere a bit closer to the city centre. The hotel was having work done on the parking lot which meant some of the spaces were taped off and couldn't be used therefore parking was at a premium, especially when a local limo firm clearly has permission to park its fleet there overnight taking up a lot of spaces. Our room was nice enough although the air conditioning unit was a bit loud at night but you needed it on because the room was very warm otherwise. Beds and bathroom were clean and overall the room was satisfactory. The kids used the pool and said it was fine but we didn't eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on the food there. We had a busy full day out in Toronto planned so didn't spend much time at all in the hotel and then the next morning we checked out early to get to the airport. All in all a decent enough Best Western but nothing outstanding or out of the ordinary. Top tip: if you are staying here and intend heading into downtown Toronto drive to Finch Station approx.15 mins away. From here you can catch the TTC subway train into town for a flat rate fare of $3.25 one way. Also there are 2 huge parking lots at the station which each hold 1500+ cars and it's $5 to park your car all day - pretty good value.

We went very late night.Front desk was very accommodating and help me to get cab booked for next day. Room was very clean and cool. Wifi was very good. Only one thing is housekeeper but both bottle of conditioner in shower so I told her mistake(it's happen ) Overall I recommend this place.

We arrived for our check in at 14:45 and were told the room was going to be ready in 15 minutes. The front desk staff ('Nick' the front desk manager) called the maid on the radio with a rude tone and told her to hurry). At 15:20 I went back to the front desk asking if the room was ready and was told it would take another 20 minutes. I told them we were told that already 20 Minutes ago. I asked them if something was wrong with the room and she nicely said she would go and check on the room. Meanwhile, the front desk manager (Nick) was arguing with another hotel staff member in front of customers because she says he can't handle customers who complain and that he refers all calls to her; Nick replies to her very rudely and could care less. When my husband went back to Nick asking again about the room 'Nick the front desk manager' was curt and rude, he also blamed the previous customers for the room not being ready. (Three other guests are also waiting for their rooms at that point and one of them is unhappy about the way his reservation was handled and a previous one had asked a hotel staff to speak to a manager. ) 'Nick the front desk manager' lies to us about having been waiting only for 5-10 minutes and that he can always cancel our booking. At which point I said 'yes please cancel' and he appeared surprised. I asked for the name of the manager and he proudly showed his name tag with 'front desk manager' on it. I asked for the name of his manager as he is not the hotel manager and he refused to give me a name. As the 'front desk manager' he has ZERO skills in dealing with customers which also explains his front desk argument with another member of the staff. We did not cancel the room because of the wait, we could live with that. We canceled the room because of the 'front desk manager' s rudeness, keeping in mind that should there have been any issue during our stay it would not have been addressed properly. We had a simple concern with the wait and he could have easily addressed that concern with professionalism but instead he laid the blame on us and the previous customers. His response was out of proportion and inappropriate. He was overwhelmed with the simplest question and defensive while there was no need for that and he could have addressed the issue in a professional manner. I travel for business regularly and never have I had to cancel due to poor customer service.

Location - was told by cab driver, "roughest area in Toronto." I would agree it's not a nice area at all. Canada Wonderland Package - a rip off. Buy your own tickets (even seasonal passes) for cheaper. Rooms - nice Service - below average. A majority of the front desk staff are not helpful and even rude. Restaurant - food and service is excellent! After my experience with this hotel, I would not stay at a Best Western again.

Very quiet clean hotel. Extremely comfortable beds and nice up to date decor. Excellent location. Backs onto corn field, on a road with decent Hotels; next door to Police Department. Felt very safe. I would stay again at this location if need be for meetings/appointments. Also, close to Pearson Airport, yet far enough away to be quiet. Paid a premium for main floor. Vehicle parked at room door. A bit unhappy with check out, however, overall very nice hotel and excellent value.

We spent three nights at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. the two room suite was great for when one of us wanted to go to bed earlier than the other and having two baths was also great. Beds were comfortable, appreciated the refrigerator and in-room wifi.The hotel is out of the city center, but easily accessible to subway with a short drive. We left a valuable item in the room when we checked out and the housekeeper found it and turned it in. When we realized our loss, we called the hotel and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The item is now back in our possession!

Arrival at 4:00, was greeted by a new young lady, learning the ropes and trying her very best to check us in. We had the $10 coupons to redeem and I wanted to be sure they could be used so was moved to Raj. He has excellent, helped us with an upgrade (?) and redeemed the BW coupons against our bill on the first night. The upgrade had had some smokers and when i went back to Raj, he changed rooms for us again. The pull out sofabed is reallly the pull out springbed. NO padding at all, slept on pillows on top of the springs. Super uncomfortable. We should have just stayed at the two bed room and forgone the upgrade. Breakfast was included in our rate, however, our conference was starting at 8:00 am. and that is when breakfast opened so we missed for both days. That was our own cost outside of the hotel. The halls were quite noisy at night, through the night. Not sure if there was something going on in the area for younger crowd, but we heard them coming and going. Had dinner in the dining room, food was normal, service not terribly friendly. Took forever to pay our bill. And.......guests were bringing their own alcohol and food to the patio. Did inform Raj of this, and he immediately stepped away from what he was doing and headed to the restaurant. No management on site for the hotel or restaurant on this Saturday night. Not sure what the outcome was of that. This hotel could be tidier, cigarette butts outside at the front door in the morning, musty smelling. Not likely to stay here again. BW brand and proximity to conference is what brought us here.

We only open 8 am on Saturdays and Sundays and 7 am on weekdays. The hotel, staff, value for money and restaurant all very good. My only issue was with the internet, which was very bad. I called and the front desk re-booted it, but it didn't help. Wasn't able to work in the evening, or stream on my laptop. If they can address the internet issue, this is a great value for your money!

This location near Canada's Wonderland, etc. is good. There is really no where to walk to from the hotel, so I wouldn't want to be without a car. The hotel itself is pretty standard. The restaurant was really crowded on a Sunday morning and there were only 2 servers, so it was pretty slow, but the food was good. I can't say anyone was overly friendly, but they weren't rude, either. It was a decent place, but nothing outstanding.

Albeit a chain/franchise, this BW on the outskirts of Toronto offered exactly what we wanted. Good clean rooms,helpful staff, quiet,food on site and the ability to travel into Toronto downtown and be near the airport. Two nights wind down on arrival,before heading North to Huntsville and Sudbury. After a round trip to Ottawa,Montreal and Sherbrooke the BE Toronto beckoned for the final night before returning through Pearson to Manchester. Good front desk assistance and all staff very pleasant.

This hotel was chosen for its proximity to Canada's Wonderland, and we were very happy with our choice. Modern, fully renovated rooms. We had the basic small room, which had surprising very well designed storage (large backpacks could be tucked into the side tables). Best feature is the restaurant. Basic but tasty food, and at a much lower price than expected. Cora amount of food for half the price. We loved having a great option at the hotel especially after a long day of Toronto traffic. Clean, new, modern, good computer access, nice pool, comfy bed, and good food. Wouldn't book anywhere else in the future!

Great location for Canada's Wonderland and Vaughan Mills. Friendly staff with great service. Room was a little small but nice and clean. Pool was good. restaurant downstairs was quick and the food wasn't bad. Rooms are a bit loud as far as hearing when yor neighbor is in the shower, the water sound but otherwise quiet.

Just your basic hotel. Staff was okay. Did find most to be friendly with the exception of one. Kids loved the pool but it seemed dirty to me. Looked like mould on the floor. Rooms seemed clean. Attached restaurant was really good and the staff in there were ultra friendly. It was close to the Vaughan mills shopping centre so that was a plus. Parking and wifi was free.

We were looking for a quiet, clean and affordable option for our trip to Toronto and this was the perfect spot. Plus it is really close to my brother's house which helped tons. It's about 1 1/2 hours away from Niagara Falls. Will be going there again when I visit my brother. The one bedroom had it's own room and a little living room with pull out sofabed which helped when my nephews came for a "sleepover". Only con was that the iron didn't work. Bathroom had a funky smell and they fixed it right away.

This hotel had great comfortable rooms and the pool was great. Staff were very helpful giving advice on public transport. The hotel is a bit tucked out of the way. Fine if you have a car but we never. Bit of a walk to get to the main road to get the bus, a little walk further and there are some shops and restaurants. On site restaurant served a pretty good steak though!

This hotel is located not far away from the airport and was a close distance to YORK University - the main purpose of my visit. The rooms are typical American hotel style and comfortable. Breakfast though was not included in my rate (for the rate I paid, normally it should have been possible to offer bed and breakfast). I suspect that this is because the restaurant is not owned by the hotel. Hotel has a gym and a (small) pool, so abit of exercise is possible. Close to the hotel is a police station so one f else secure here. Along the busy main road close to the hotel are also supermarkets and a small mall. So all in all, quite ok... if not for the price.

Good place to stay, employees were nice and helpful. No continental breakfast and internet was slow at times. but overall a good place to stay. Lobby décor was very nice and room décor was also nice. Great location for travel centered in the middle of Toronto most locations were only 15-20 minutes away with traffic. Not many restaurants near or banks, but could easily find one that wasn't too far away. Beautiful city to visit, will not be disappointed in hotel.

For being a moderately priced room this hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and the amenities were a nice surprise. My family was on a cross Country trip and were pleased when we found out they had coin operated washing machines for guests to use. We also had dinner at their restaurant and were quiet pleased at both the price and quality of the food.

Family of 4, kids 9&11. 10 minutes from Canada's Wonderland. Hotel staff prompt and friendly. Can't thank Nick during the day, enough for his knowledge about the park and busy times, and for directions elsewhere. Also Savio at night who gave us a new room since ours had a plumbing issue and couldn't be fixed by their maintenance man-who also arrived promptly. He also gave us a complementary breakfast for the next morning for our inconvenience of having to change rooms late at night. Room was clean and comfy. The sofa sleeper was a little uncomfortable for the kids, but when you're tired, you're tired. Kids enjoyed the pool as well til 11 pm. On site free parking, quiet street, police department next door. Would definitely stay here again!

I stay at this hotel often for work and it's a great stay every time. Staff is absolutely fantastic. Shout out to newer "Kativa" for being an excellent front desk agent! This place is clean, comfortable and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

This location was very easy to get to right off the Highway, it was modern and clean with computer stations available and a great restauraunt. The rooms were good size with a refrigerator that was really appreciated after staying in a hotel without one! The reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations for local places to eat and shop. it was nice to be able to have a conversation and know that the other person was really interested in helping you.

I selected this hotel on Booking.com a couple of months ago and got a great deal. The hotel offered free parking which can cost $20-25 a day in many hotels. The room was modern and well equipped. We were assigned room 515. The only real negative was that the lift was quite slow. The reception staff was courteous and well informed.

The rooms are basic but functional. Cleaning very poor not only in room but generally- someone left empty pizza box by drink machine-2 days later still there! When you ask for something generally it appears too much effort for the person-there are a couple of great people on reception which is great as you have to renew your room key card every time you leave the hotel or even just go down a floor. Attached restaurant -food nice but service extremely slow- definitely wouldn't recommend it

Stayed at this hotel for over a week to settle some family affairs. Hotel was clean and service was great whenever asked for it. Huge car park, front and back, so no problems with finding a parking spot anytime. Rooms are quite decent in size. We had the king suite which had two bathroom/toilets which was handy as there were three of us. There's a gym and indoor swimming pool. Also there is a coin-operated laundry - washing and dryer, on site. Across from the reception desk are three computers for guest use, and a printer. We had access to free wi-fi in the hotel. There is a restaurant on-site which seemed well patronised, especially at dinner time. We had dinner and breakfast there and the menu was sufficient to our needs. Close by, 5-10 minutes walk, are two supermarkets. However be aware that the suburb of North a York, where this hotel is located, is big, and having access to a car is very handy. Further, getting into Toronto city is quite a drive - give yourself at least 30-45 minutes drive. We did not have a chance to go into the city this trip, so can't comment too much on the journey to the city.

I really liked this hotel. Everything was so easy from booking and the checking in/out. The rooms are very nice, the bed is comfy, and the breakfast was very price friendly and still a great quality. It came very handily that they had a laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer.

Had an awesome stay here while visiting Toronto, Canada. I didn't know much about this choice while booking, but I'm glad I choose it. As we landed at the airport we took an 10 minute UBER ride to get here. We were checked in immediately upon arrival. The staff was great. The hotel room was very clean as was the whole hotel. The hotel is also located next to the Toronto Police Station which was always quite. We choose public transportation as a means to get around. It was in walking distance and took us straight to the subway line. We had no problem at all walking to and from the bus. There's a outlet mall close by, not many stores but we found a few bargains. There are fast food restaurants located near, but there's also a restaurant located inside the hotel with great eats!! I recommend this hotel!!

Didn't spend much time at the hotel. Was a good place to sleep, clean with comfortable pillows and bed. Pool and hot tub were nice. Would have been great if there was a continental breakfast. Nice and close to Canada's Wonderland.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean and the food was great. Room was comfortable. I normally stay at the Hotel next door, but will choose this hotel in the future. My first time in Canada I stay here this place pretty nice clean! As soon you walk in restaurant to the right the staff was helpful! Next door police station which give you extra security plus! Walking distance bus stop and shops around the way pretty Cool! Thump up!

From the moment we checked in till we left all the staff at this hotel are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and very nice. We had a Wonderland package. They are very organized. The pool area was nice and clean and the pool was warm. The breakfast was very good and filling. A great little getaway!

While the hotel was, overall, relatively decent, I do have to point out a number of small issues that were a nuisance: The free breakfast that I saw mentioned online when making my reservation turned out to only be "discounted", not free. Of course I then tried to find where it had said "free" and couldn't find it again. Full price would have been ridiculous, but the "discounted" rate made it "reasonable". HVAC system in the room would not turn off. Even with the control in the "off" position, the noisy fan continued to run all night (just a little slower, but still noisy, without cooling). Office chair was broken/bent, leaning to one side and extremely squeeky (had to try to sit perfectly still to not bother those sleeping.) There was popcorn under the bed-skirt that wasn't vacuumed up before our arrival. The corner lamp plug was bent as though it has been roughly yanked out of the wall on an angle, and the cord all knotted up and shoved under a chair. I had to un-knot it, fix the plug with my pocket knife, and plug it in. And, as usual, another god-awful hotel Internet service that is entirely unfriendly to business travellers and modern Internet protocols. This isn't 1996! Ugh! Good think I'm a network geek, and can find workarounds for just about anything. A layman would have been completely S.O.L.

We stayed in this best Western for 3 nights. Price was okay, Service is friendly. We were informed that there is a pool with whirlpool free to use. Also they have a big parking lot which you can use for free (as a guest of course). As we had mostly rainy days in Toronto we used the offer one day and spent a hole afternoon at the pool. I can also recommend the restaurant located in this hotel. Price, food and service were good. We're definitely coming back!

Stayed there with the family in April and enjoyed staying there. Staff was very friendly and accommodating during our whole stay. Restaurant service was good. I had dinner the first night, and it was ready really fast, breakfast was good, of course not too many staff so service was slow. Rooms were nice and the little one loved the pool. Internet connection wasn't the greatest. It will come and go.

Staff is very understanding and helpful, beds are amazing and the rooms are very pleasant. We hadn't planned on staying over at a hotel but after being talked into it by family members we hoped to get a room. Not many were available and the ones that were available were higher in price then I could afford. The staff was so helpful and made sure that the room we were given was brought down into an affordable range for us.

We always stay at Bestwestern's and this one was ok but by far not one of my favourites. They usually offer complimentary breakfast, this one didn't. Our shower curtain was mouldy and toilet was loose, room was not as clean as most Bestwesterns we stay at .

This hotel is conveniently located close to the 400 Highway, zip up it and you are on the 407 and out of Toronto (which is usually my goal as quickly as possible) . Hotel is pretty clean, parking is free, common areas nice etc. Cooling system works well, bed is comfortable. Here are my cons however. Outer linen,such as bed scarves stained. Soil mark on white duvet that looked like from shoe or suitcase. Desk chair basically unusable unless you wanted to lay down gaming. I actually called reception, but they never came to replace it. I really wanted to like this hotel, but it was hard to do business at a desk while laying down. Finally WIFI by Purepages, sucks! I ended up using my phone hotspot.

This hotel was very good for the price. The room was clean. The parking was free and the check in was a breeze. I gave only four stars because of the check out. You have to be out by 11 and they charge you 20 for every 10 min that you are late checking out. Some hotels allow late check outs. Obviously it is not encouraged but they allow it. Overall good hotel for the price.

A very comfortable and clean hotel with all necessary amenities with very pleasant staff. Very handy for the airport and good public transport links to the city centre which takes approximately an hour by bus and subway outside of rush hour.

I only stayed here for 1 night, but it was a pleasant night. It's not really the best neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, but if you're just passing through it's convenient to several major highways. The lack of free breakfast was a bit of a pain, considering it would have been a perfect way to get my day going, but if you're really in a pinch there is a restaurant, and they offer a fine breakfast. I guess the best way to describe this hotel is very pleasant with no extras. For a single night on the road this can be very good, but I imagine that someone staying in Toronto for a few nights on a budget might not like this place at all. Again, you need a car if you're going to stay here, there really isn't any other option.

First time I have staid here and what can I say, staff very very friendly. Always smiling and helping. Room was clean and big. Very comfortable beds. Restaurant was onsite that's very convenient as when you coming back from business trip you don't wanna go drive around to find restaurant to eat. I will definitely coming back here

Paid close to $200 per night so an average hotel. No breakfast included in the morning. If you're travelling here for business, it's fine. Wouldn't pay out of pocket for this hotel. Room was average, clean. Bathroom was nice.

Our stay here was very good. Comfortable beds, soft and firm pillows and clean nice room. Customer service is Beyond what I can imagine. They give us direction as well as what's to see near there. Restaurant food was very good. Will be back again

Excellent value, I really love my room. Bed very comfortable, lots of space, lovely bathroom. Friendly staff, very clean and quiet. Great restaurant with discount. Some brief issues with the washing machine that I would have preferred to be handled differently, but overall a wonderful experience.

I went to Best Western in march 2017 - it wasn't the best place. First of all, the guy at the reception charged me more for the deposit so not professional at all plus it took a few days before it was refunded to my credit card, which I did not appreciate since I did not plan that. Staff: They were not friendly...0 for their guest experience. Location: You need a car because nothing is very near by. With the car, you are a few minutes away from the hotel there is a coffee shop, grocery store, popeyes (fried chicken), pizza pizza, drug mart, etc. Price: Place was expensive for the room I expected ! Their heating system was noisy for me it was not the best especially that I had a baby with me. Gym VERY small (3-4 machines total) // swimming pool not the best. Wi-fi was available for free in their rooms. Lobby: their furnitures are old and worn out. They have three computers with wi-fi available for their guests. Washer/Dryer: You can wash and dry your clothes by paying. The machines are near by the lobby. They are nor responsible if stolen or lost items though. Overall, I do NOT recommend this place because everything was old and worn out. Plus side: Parking was free which a lot of hotels in Toronto Downtown can charge you between 20-50$/night.

I do not recommend this hotel, quality price not worth it, and extremely poor customer service. Restaurant breakfast hours are late during the weekends and not included with room. On the bright side, the room was cleaned and they have plenty of parking space.

We stayed here on two occasions. Nice clean rooms, service at front desk was great. The restaurant on don't recommend. The food is bland and toast tasted like old bread. Upon checking out we witnessed what I would call total humiliation and bullying towards an employee. The manager/ supervisor was yelling at the top of his lungs at one of the employees and seemed proud of it. I walked out embarrassed for him but walked back in and told the young lady at the counter that their boss was disgusting with no respect for others.

Although it was a little out of the way from downtown and the main hotspots I was pleased with the stay at this hotel. The room was clean, staff were friendly and the cleaners came round pretty much everyday. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very Nice hotel I would come back. Safe, Clean, modern, the restaurant was very good,and the staff were really helpful. It is close to the freeway to get to and from with my rental. If you are visiting from the states the place to exchange your money was just down the street.

I truly recommend this hotel the staff is great specially Pringal every time he is working he makes my stay so much more pleasant I never have anything to worry about. The rooms a fairly clean the beds are very comfortable. The hotel location is pretty close to many restaurants and malls Canada's Wonderland. The rooms were clean - friendly staff. I wish I had booked through the place direct and would have got a medical rate. The price was ok anyway. Would have liked a free continental breakfast. but was not included in the price.

Worst hotel i have ever stayed in. We got to our room which was not the room we were expecting, there was no bath tub when i had told the Manager at the hotel twice that my room needed to have a bath tub, instead there was a very small shower (the hot water had a setting so it didnt get very hot at all) and there was mold all over the edging.. We were accused of smoking not even 5 minutes after being there (while we had just watched the young fellow walking past the house keeper outside having a smoke) we were told the manager was coming to inspect the rooms (not aloud because we were leaving the premises for a bit) and then once the Manager had come off the elevator he pointed us out immediately as the people who had obviously been smoking. He was going to check our room and our room only again not aloud. At the end of our trip i had to wait 20 minutes for the house keeper to ok my room, a couple beside me goes to check out and the manager says " no damage, no smoking? I dont feel like waiting for house keeping to call back" and immediately refunds this couples money back. My husband and i will never ever stay at this hotel again and i will be very sure to tell everyone i know about how horrible my stay was.

Majority of our rooms have bath tubs, but we also offer a few rooms with standing shower for guests who have special requests preferring standing shower instead of a bathtub. We try our best to accommodate all requests, unless we are unable to do so, like in a sold out situation. Ours is a non-smoking hotel. Every guest is reminded of this fact upon check in, and also non-smoking signs are conspicuously placed in each room. We have designated smoking areas outside the hotel for guests who enjoy smoking, but smoking is strictly prohibited, and enforced, indoors. When any guest smokes inside any guest room, the deposit is forfeited to cover the additional costs associated with cleaning a smoking room, and bringing it up to par for future guests expecting a completely smoke free environment. It may cost up to $2000 to clean up, and the cost maybe be billed to the guest who smokes. We inspect every room upon check out. When it is informed that a guest may have smoked in a room, the manager on duty is called to double check and confirm, before releasing or forfeiting the deposit. Most hotels were sold out in Toronto when we had to make a two day trip up for a funeral. We booked the last room in this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. The room was on the small side but it was clean, which is the most important thing to us when considering a hotel. The hotel is located very close to a major hightway (400) and local attractions. We would stay again.

Don't stay in this hotel if you want to explore downtown Toronto and the sights.. It is much too far away and Toronto traffic is horrendous. Spent a lot of wasted time on the road.

This hotel is not luxury but very reasonably priced with free parking and good wifi. Breakfast in adjacent elemental diner is adequate and you get discount if staying at hotel. Good dinner menu if required. Good room size and comfortable bed and bathroom. Noisy A/C which can be turned off. The hotel tends to have Chinese coach parties and they can be noisy in the corridors and fill the restaurant making it a long breakfast meal. I had one complaint that the room smelt when we entered the room. Soon found it was the musty shower curtain and this was immediately changed upon my request. Hotel staff very amenable and friendly. The trip to downtown is easliy made once you get to the Finch Road Metro station about 10 minutes away by car. Buses stop at the end of the road. Cost is $2.00 for single trip to downtown area for over 65's and $3.25 for younger. $12 buys you a day ticket for all day travel.

I loved this hotel the room was fantastic with a jacuzzi and lounge area. The restaurant staff were very friendly and treated us really well felt a valued customer. Although the hotel is quite a way from the city of Toronto it was interesting making our way into town on the great transportation system that Toronto has. Having free Wi-Fi was a added bonus, compared to other hotels in Toronto this was very good value for money.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Hotel staff at check in was nice. Even though the room seemed to be cleaned, there was a bit of dust on the night table. Besides that, everything was good. I have little complaints on this hotel. Clean, pretty, and well appointed. Huge and modern room with a jacuzzi to top it all. Only the blowdrier didn't work; not a deal breaker. Would likely come again for another Toronto trip. The only major complaint I have is the restaurant attached. Breakfast isnt't complimentary. Waiting times were abnormally long for the duration of our stay. Food was decent; best for lunch or dinner. Breakfast wasnt bad either except our last day. Bacon was overcooked and bread stale. It was a weekend and packed with people. Perhaps understaffing is an issue.

Main Lobby Elevators appeared to not have had maintenance in a while. Doors made scrapping noises and did not open automatically. Had to manually push door open button to open doors. Hotel room (#212) had issues with wallpaper pealing around window and A/C Unit. Ceiling above shower/tub was peeling and split. Bathroom sink did not drain properly. Toilet ran constantly - had to lift tank lid and adjust flapper manually. Hairdryer cord at plug end was cracked exposing bare wire (SHOCK hazard). Restaurant got breakfast order wrong on two occasions. LCD lights in hallway (2nd floor by elevator) blinking and flickering. Desk staff upon check-in said breakfast was 50% off for guests, when in fact it was 15% off main menu items and no discount on the specials, which were available to anyone. General look of lack of maintenance and lack of pro-activeness on fixing things. Also: Room had an old smoker's room smell to it.

The room is OK until I found stains on the comforter. I made a complain at the front desk, and the front desk manager said because we booked the room thru third party, he can't give any discount against the room, but offer discount for breakfast and gave me a business card saying he will give discount for my next stay. I found that is not acceptable. Also the staff are not very friendly when we checked in, don't have a smile on them at all.

I have been staying here fairly regular over the past year. It is easy to get to which is important for a non-city driver. The beds are super comfy with lots of plush pillows. The room is clean (although I might take a toothbrush to the grout in the shower). The food at the attached restaurant, Element is good and reasonably priced. Staff at the front desk have always been polite and helpful. Free parking is a bonus.

The hotel staff at check-in is very friendly. There is only one computer that prints. The room had an odor. The AC was not working, but someone came and reset it. There were children running up and down the hall in the middle of the night and knocking on some doors. The wifi is not the best in the world and is very slow. The indoor pool is a great feature, but it is small. The work out area is nice to have, but it is not a lot of options and if someone is on the treadmill, you have to wait. The restaurant is kind of expensive. This was a friendly-staff hotel.

Recently spent four nights here after a satisfactory stay last year. Once again I was in a ground floor unit, this time on the opposite side of the building (facing the Comfort Inn parking lot). As before I was quite happy with most aspects of my stay, the bedding, towels etc, are of decent quality and the room and hotel in general seems fairly well kept. . The updates that have been made still seem fresh for the most part. In the latest unit the bathroom vanity lighting was a big improvement over the unit I was in last year, The wifi worked well and the heating cooling unit functioned well. Staff were courteous. We ate breakfast in the attached restaurant a couple of times. Service was excellent on a Friday morning and not so great on the Saturday when it was busier. There's a small discount of 10% I think if you show your room card. As far as breakfasts go it was basically fine. We also used the pool where I noticed a previous "conditional pass" notice from the health authorities had been superseded by a newer unconditional pass notice. I bet it's hard to maintain standards with the volume of guests they have but you hope they stay on top of things in the future. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention a few issues. On arrival my room wasn't ready and I had to wait 15 minutes while they attended to that. I don't think I was an early arrival unless after 3:00 pm is early. The hair dryer in the room didn't work. The screen door on the patio sliding doors wasn't fixed on the track and fell off completely on me the first time I tried to slide it and the sliding doors only move with some muscle. The table legs on the desk looked like they'd been kicked a thousand times. And they didn't have any towels by the pool one evening, though when informed they promised to deal with it quickly. It was close to 30 minutes however before they arrived and in insufficient quantity to last for long. Maybe they looked after this after we left or maybe another guest had to go to the front desk again, At this price point there aren't a lot of (decent) Toronto hotel options and I still feel that this is a good choice for someone looking for value. The location is not all that suitable unless you know you're going to have to hop in a car and drive to get anywhere but overall, still a pretty good choice for a stay.

This place is great. Friendly staff with access to pool and gym. Board room and laundry. Very clean, and affordable. Close to malls and transit accessible. Nice sitting area in the lobby with tv and fireplace.

Just stayed overnight here again and I was Impressed with my room which was a King suite. Room was very large (size of two standard rooms) and it was appointed very nicely. If you can get this too. For the right price I'd recommend it. The restaurant is consistently great as well. You should check out Element if you are staying here.

Yes, this is a very unusual sour grapes review from me but I have never been unhappy with Best Western visits. Hotel was pre booked well in advance. Arrived and was told I requested single bed? Really? Unable to quickly access my receipt on my phone quickly. I then asked to simply switch it. No double rooms available sir. Being there three nights with family this did not set well but kind of stuck having pre booked and pre paid. Settling in the room I then found the receipt on my phone an sure enough it was for a double room. Back downstairs and of course the story changes. So call it what you may, it was no mistake as I had previously escalated to manager they chose to lie. Now offered a double room I was so upset by the lie and aggravation I told them they could keep it. So now please allow me the sour grapes as THEY chose to set the tone. Room had no towels, had to call for them Exhaust fan ran but absolutely no draw, this a killer with a family, Im sure you get the specifics. By th way you can check if the exhaust is actually working and not just sounding if its working by placing a tissue against the vent surface. The rooms are small, very very small. Ceiling over the tub peeling terribly. Many of the hall lights in the corridors constantly strobing. Think a dance scene from Saturday Night Live. I was supposed to get free breakfasts. Had to request those too. Breakfast is not the standard buffet we have all grown to love, be it paid or free The have a restaurant that opens at 7:00 which is fine. The voucher though is for one egg bacon toast and potatoes. One egg..yea. Felt like running out and buying them an extra dozen. Way behind the times here and the restaurant remains empty through other meal times. Restaurant staff were very nice people. Again just an example of the shoestring management at this establishment. Yea, its an old hotel with a nice lobby remodel which suites me fine usually, but that is where it ended. Oh and one other thing, sticking a piece of drop style ceiling tile inside the wall picture frame looks terrible. Enough said. Please do not further offend me with a response.

We stayed at this relatively newer hotel and parked our vehicle for our 18 day trip to Nfld. To register was a breeze and when thier vending machine failed to deliver my beverage the front desk said come on down and gave us two free soft drinks. Dinner was a bit lacking as there was only one waitress who normally serve breakfast and was therefor unfamiliar with the dinner menu. Not her fault but it took over 1 1/2 hrs for our meal. The food was just ok and having mentioned my concerns the next morning management discounted our dinner meal. Room was excellent great mattress but my wife was disappointed that thete was no bathtub. We will certainly book this hotel on our next flight out of Toronto.

I booked the room with the Canada Wonderland package, 10 minute drive to Wonderland was the main reason. We were pleasantly surprised by the really friendly staff, the restaurant was not included but there was a fifteen per cent discount, I highly recommend the big burger it was so good the first time I ordered it again and it was better than the first(different chef?). I can also say don't just get the fruit bowel for breakfast it is small and disappointing, but the blueberry pancakes are good. It is close to shopping and Pearson, planes constantly flying over.

Stay overnight at the Best Western. Had tickets to see a show in Toronto. Room was clean but one of the bathroom had hair on the side of the tub. Television was breaking up all the time. However I didn't go to watch T.V.

Hotel experience was excellent but the restaurant service was terrible for breakfast. It took more than an hour to have breakfast. Far too long especially when kids are involved. The waitress forgot a couple times what we asked her to bring to us.

We selected this hotel for its price (online through third party) and its location to Canada Wonderland and Vaughan Mills Mall. We were very pleased overall due to its clean and comfortable rooms. The pool was perfect for our family. The pool was WARM and the hot tub was HOT, decent amount of sunlight and the size was good even on a crowded night. We stayed for 4 nights and had a quiet night's sleep even though it was fairly close to the highway. The room's air system seemed a little touchy at times as it got really cold fast and then sometimes warm/stale air. We needed to redirect/deflect the air from the kid's sleeper sofa because it would have been on them all night. All though it was close to everywhere, i found it a little difficult to find a sit down restaurant (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to eat with the kids - didnt want to eat at the hotel. Finch street didn't have many options that worked for us so we found ourselves driving around at times and wound up in the Vaughan area that had many nice options. Two recommendations: Montana's Cookhouse and Romano's Classic Italian. Also there is a lot of traffic in the area at rush hour so make sure you plan accordingly. A perfect, affordable family vacation and would highly recommend to other families.

I stay at this hotel frequently because it is clean and comfortable but most of all because of the amazing staff. Nick and Andrea on front desk make every check in/out a pleasure. They're fantastic members of the hotel staff and I look forward to seeing their smiling faces each time I visit. The hotel itself is great. Close to Canada's wonderland and Vaughan Mills Mall as well as Colossus Centre. Easy exit off HWY 400.

I needed a reasonably priced hotel near the 400 North of Toronto. This Best Western fitted the bill. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel which was clean, neat, quiet and seemed to have been newly decorated. I saw that they had a pool which looked good, though I did not use it. I'd stay here again if I needed to.

Stayed here for a few nights when visiting Toronto. Very close to Wonderland with a shuttle which is nice. Some malls not too far away. About 15 minutes to the train station and close to direct route highways. Room was very clean, restaurant was great service with good eats. We would stay again!

I have been staying at this hotel once to twice a month for over 2 years. It keeps getting better. Rooms are very comfortable. They have an excellent restaurant. They have updated the elevators now and have updated the mirrors in the rooms. The staff is excellent! Why would you want to stay anywhere else.

Nice rooms and a great place to eat but, if you're going for the hot tub and pool please call before you visit to make sure that they are in working order. The staff in the restaurant went above and beyond to make our order the way we wanted and customized it to our liking and great prices. A must stop place for a meal especially breakfast.

The staff was very friendly at this hotel. The pool was great, we loved it! The room was very comfortable and clean, if a bit dated. They have a free breakfast which was great, lots of selection! For the price you can't go wrong. I would definitely stay again.

Their rate was cheaper online or through a different website and they weren't willing to work with the rate but they weren't full. They apparently were sold out of there Canada's Wonderland deal. Shuttle was extra even though online it says free shuttle service or free hot commentary meal but they didn't offer this as well. They said they had a restaurant but it closed at 5:00pm because it was a holiday... That's no help for dinner time! There was no towels in the pool area. The dryer was out of order and the other one was too busy to be able to use. All the drink vending machines were "sold out". The wifi was down for a long time and kept going out. Not impressed! Pool was nice but it was over crowded! Not enough chairs around the pool.

We booked the hotel according to the positive reviews. However we were disappointed that the room had lots of hair on the sofa bed and the carpet next to the master bedroom toilet. The next day the housekeeping didnt do a great job in cleaning and the hair was not removed. So the day after we went to the receptionist and told him to tell the housekeeping to vaccum the room, he said they do it everyday, we told him just remind them again. The good news that after that there was no more hair in the room. Another problem was that the room was dusty. And my husband is sensitive to dust so he cant breath normally if there is a decent amount of dust in the room. So he was not relaxed in our stay there. The only good thing was the room size comparing to the price.

We are currently staying here for one night. Check-in says 3pm. We arrived at 5:30, to find that out room was not ready yet. We had requested a double queen room. Frustrating. We finally got our room and noticed that there was no coffee for the coffee machine, small.. But frustrating. I then received an email from my credit card company that stated the Best Western just charged $350.00 to my credit card. The person at the front desk stated that there was a$150.00 deposit. He apologized for not explaining that at check in time. What kind of hotel does that? Also, the hotel claims that it has a new restaurant.. Which we found to be not open yet. You will also find the pool entrance to be right across from the main stack of elevators by the front desk. Nice and slippery. Other than that everything is good so far.

We wanted a hotel within walking distance of the Rogers Cup and it worked out very well for us. Took about 35 mins to get there and then back. If you are not a walker, then you could easily take a taxi or book a parking spot at the event. Had an early dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and a couple of nice beers (which is why we were walking), all very pleasant and relaxing! The in room fridge and micro was great for a late night snack/drink when we returned from the tennis. Shopped at the Vaughn Mills Mall the next day, all good!

I was extremely satisfied with my first stay at the BWPLus Toronto North York Hotel. Within walking distance to my purpose for being in Toronto...Rogers Cup Tennis. Also, close to other amenities - shopping, public transit, grocery shopping, pharmacy. Staff was phenomenal - very helpful, professional, friendly - front desk, housekeeping, and wait staff in on-site restaurant, Elements. I definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed for only one night, but enjoyed our stay. Our check in was quick and smooth. Our room was exactly as pictured on-line, which was a pleasant surprise. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, which was a huge concern for me because I have severe back pain. The room and bathroom were very clean and updated. Love the soap and hand lotion dispensers on the walls! Smelled wonderful. The hotel is close to the highway, but yet surprisingly quiet inside. There was lots of free parking, which is a bonus. I require several ice packs to get through a day because of back pain, so needed them to be kept in a deep freezer. The hotel itself didn't have a freezer, but the restaurant within the hotel did and they were more than happy to accommodate my need. When we left, I had several frozen ice packs, ready for my trip back to Ottawa. The staff at the hotel and restaurant went above and beyond to ensure that my ice packs were kept frozen. We've been to other hotels before where they either lost my ice packs, or put them in the fridge instead of the freezer. I will definitely stay in this hotel again!

When we arrived for our 2 night stay, we were having problems with our rental car and I was on the phone with the company. Pringal, at the front desk, checked us in through my daughter and listened sympathetically to our issues. Although they have no shuttle into town, he did offer a local rental car company that they do business with and called him directly. Although we ended up not using him, he was also very pleasant. The room was small, but fine for the time we were there. The 2 queen beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean, a major concern for me. Nice sized bathroom with dispensers for shampoo, soap, and conditioner, full and ready to use. Room was clean and ready for us when returned the next day. We didn't use the pool or the restaurant on property. Unfortunately, this BW does not have breakfast, but there is a Tim Horton's and McDonald's nearby. Easy access off the freeway, but we didn't hear a thing!

The check-in process was very smooth and staff were friendly. The room was small and basic, but did the job. The bathroom was not very clean, the shower curtain was growing mould at the bottom and was heavily stained. Food was OK in the hotel (we were told that as guests of the hotel we would get a discount, but this wasn't applied to the invoice). Pool area OK - I didn't use the facilities as its more of a plunge triangular pool, rather than a pool for swimming in. Overall, the stay was basic but convenient.

Went to front desk twice to ask for main sink water draining issue. Nothing fixed. Extractor fan doesn't seem to take anything out. Noisy neighborhood as highway near; just the sound of high speed cars and cannot let the window opened. Bed was clean. Decor was quite modern. AC worked well. Room cleaning was ponctious.

First day remote for the TV didn't work. Second day the "shuttle" to Wonderland leaves at 9 - 10 am and they won`t return till 9 - 10 at night so if you wish to leave early get the parking pass. Came back to the room to find the shower soap dispenser empty. No water in any on the vending machines (each floor) Told me the water from the tap was fine to drink. Next day had to pay $20 parking pass at the park cause the 1 night two day package only included the shuttle on the first day. Came back to the hotel to find the temp changed in the room it was hot and humid and still no soap in shower. For the amount of money I paid for the room and it being over the price quoted on the website even after they took $20 off for the bad service.. I would look to another hotel in the area.

Will not stay at this hotel again hair on the bed and blood on the covers oh that's a no no ! I hate bad service especially cleanliness! Then when the cleaning staff comes he still leaves the old sheet on the bed and left the sheet for me to change and then I ask for new pillow cases he brings me a pillow case with more hair on it.

This hotel was very nice and clean. The rooms are small for two queen beds. There is a small fridge and a in the room. The only one elevator was working the days we were there. It was 10 minute drive to wonderland. It was right off the highway(400). Great location! Eight minute drive to subway station.

My friend booked this hotel for our girls trip to Toronto. We were staying four nights. We have never traveled to Canada before so she called twice ahead of time to see if the hotel accepted USD (we split the room cost between us evenly with cash instead of making the hotel charge four different cards). They said yes, both times. Well, when we got there it was a huge issue. So, now we had to find a place to convert our money. The man at the desk told us to walk to the bank across the street and they would exchange our money for us (mind you, we just drove 45 minutes from the airport, we would have exchanged our money there had they told us this was going to be an issue). So, we walked out to find the bank and low and behold, it was across a huge field and a busy six lane intersection. It took us about a half hour to walk there and the bank manager told us they do not change currency, to tell the hotel to stop sending people there to do so. They then told us a bank across the street would change our money. So we went there -- 20 minutes away. This bank told us they don't exchange money either -- to tell the hotel the same thing (apparently others have been sent there too) but they listened to our issue and made an exception for us (at least someone had decent customer service). We then proceeded to walk back to the hotel. It took an hour and it was at least 94 degrees out. We got back and had to wait 5-10 minutes. There was a couple at the desk on the phone about fraudulent charges on their bill. I wasn't surprised. When the same man asked us up to the desk we began to tell him about how wrong he was about the bank being "right across the street" and how they haven't exchanged money for people for the past year, to stop sending hotel patrons there; That we had called twice within the past week to make sure they would take our cash so we could make the payment easier. Then, this other man comes walking over and begins to yell at my friends. And I mean he raised his voice as if all four of us were yelling at the top of our lungs at him and only one of my friends was talking. That went on for five minutes, this man, with no name tag, shirt unbuttoned, we had no idea who he was, telling us in every way that we are stupid for not coming with Canadian money. He kept saying "well this isn't my fault. you should know better. why would you come here with no money?" And kept on and on. The other man, and a younger woman behind the desk, looked mortified that this man was acting the way he was. I was livid. I had enough and stepped in. I asked the man "why on Earth are you yelling? you have been yelling for the past 5 minutes while my friends explain to you what happened; that were was huge miscommunication on part of this hotel and we were accommodating to get our money changed and we were sent on a huge search to do so in the heat. Had we been told the correct information, this would have never been an issue, why don't you understand that?" Well, we then started to yell at me. Saying it's not his problem, looked at the other man who we dealt with first and asked him if this was a reservation, the man said yes, and he then proceeded to tell the guy to cancel our reservation. Never in my life have I ever been so disrespected by a business, let alone a hospitality establishment. My friend turned her camera on towards the end and explained to him that he was being recorded (and rightfully so because it went straight to corporate) and she asked for his name since he had no name tag. He said "we don't give names here. i don't care, tell them management made the decision to cancel you all" and he walked away. The woman behind the desk then came out and showed us to our bags (they kept them in a room on the side while we went to get our money converted). Her name was Andrea and I asked her, "Would you want to be treated like this?" she said, "No, absolutely not..I'm so sorry." I said, "We were not wrong. He is not taking responsibility here and now we have to suffer...in another country with no where to stay." She replied, "I know. He's my boss...I'm just so sorry." And we left. I made a few phones calls and found a cheaper and much nicer room at the Westin Prince. They upgraded us after hearing our story and treated us like gold. They were also 20 minutes from downtown...not 45-50 like the other one which was in the middle of nowhere.

I spent 3 nights here while up visiting with my wife and found the property to be decent overall. Service was okay, but we found burnt out lights in the bathroom, and dim ones, and the sink not draining. We made a call late in the afternoon at which point they said it would be fixed after we left. Many hours later we returned to find nothing was repaired - so we had to call down again, this time the service was much better and the items were fixed, and it was quick and courteous. It is just frustrating to have to deal with that - otherwise the room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower and such were fine, and amenities great. My only other note is you may want earplugs as the sound from the not-so-distant expressways was pretty noticeable.

Nothing super special but nice, clean and comfortable. Would have been better if the elevators were working..1 was broken for the 3 nights we were there with the 2nd one broken as well for a few hours. With a bad hip, climbing 5 flights of stairs was very inconvenient. Technicians were trying to fix things however. Not impressed by the restaurant service. Location was good - close to York University )important for us) and also close to the Wonderland Amusement Park for families with kids. Shuttle was provided to the park as well. Lots of interesting different ethnic restaurants in the area. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

I had to attend a graduation in Toronto and needed a place to sleep one night that was not too far from the Airport. I arrived in the evening, the person at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. The first room i got smelled cigarette so i requested to change rooms immediately and i was given a room on a higher floor, even had a small view. The room was very clean, had enough space and the AC worked fine. The free wifi worked well and i was able to print my boarding pass from the business center in the lobby, bed was also comfortable.the room looked like it was remodeled not too long ago. I didnt try the restaurant on the lobby but the front desk mentioned it was open til 10pm. Overall, it was good for my one night stay and 15 mins drive to the airport in the morning,

I stayed at this hotel for a small shopping trip. It was perfect for my needs. I usually stay at Best Western Hotels all over the world and this one was exactly what I expected it to be. If you need an affordable place while in town then this is the place for you. The rooms are small and it is outdated but since I only used the room for sleeping, this did not bother me. It was clean. The food at the restaurant was very tasty and reasonably price. I want to say thank you to the waitress at the restaurant who was warm, friendly and patient even though she was the only one serving the entire restaurant. Keep up the good work my dear! Bear in mind this is a budget hotel so there is nothing luxurious about it. I would not stay here if I am on a romantic getaway with my husband but it is great for business and shopping.

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is very modern and up to date. Our room and bathroom were great. Everything you need- free wifi, hairdryer, ironing board, flat screen TV with a good range of channels, comfortable bed- and very clean. There is an indoor pool and hot tub which looked inviting and a fitness centre. Unusually, in our experience, the hotel had a restaurant. This was very handy as there did not seem to be others within walking range. The restaurant is very modern and has an excellent menu- with a Europen twist and imaginative take on meals. Breakfasts are taken in the restaurant and you can choose between a good range of hot and cold options for about 5$ or from the wider range on the restaurant's menu with a 15% reduction. We had breakfast and dinner on both days. Every meal was excellent and great value for money. You can also dine outside which many guests did. Service was excemplary throughout the hotel and restaurant. Hotel rates are very good for a major city- it is about 10 miles from down town Toronto- but you can get the subway if you drive to Finch Street. Everything you expect in a BW and more .

We stayed at this hotel with our kids so we could take part in the deal for Canada's Wonderland coupons. We got two adult coupons for the park with a parking voucher. As for the hotel: Room: very small. Smelled like curry. Carpet needed a vacuum badly. Hair all over the floor. Bed clean. Bathroom clean. Remodelled with new tv and furniture. Bathroom vanity pleasant to look at. Pool: paint flaking off bottom of pool. Water slightly cloudy. Smelled ok. Hot tub tepid at best. Service: pleasant staff at front desk. Restaurant: two staff for whole place. Slow service. Sarcastic waitress to other customers. Would not recommend to friends. Likely would try a different hotel next time.

There's a lovely restaurant onsite the element lounge. We ate breakfast there a couple of times. Although this hotel is a little ways from downtown Toronto we would stay here again when we come back. I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel looks nice and modern. The room looked clean but it had a bad smell. The carpet near the entry next to the closet was kind of wet. I was not sure if the this was causing the bad smell. I wanted to open the window to let the bad air out but didn't. The counter space around the sink in the bathroom is a little bigger than some comparable hotels I stayed at. For the location of the hotel is not good for me. I didn't find many restaurants near by. The swimming is kind of small. There is only one equipment for weight training in the fitness room and it looks pretty old. One of the screws to hold a pulley is missing so I was afraid that it's going to fall off.

About what you would expect from a BW property. Room is average, if a little bit dated. Had breakfast (not included) in the restaurant. Fast service - good food. Front desk can be hit and miss. Check in was warm and welcoming. Check out was surly and indifferent. Fairly secure area as there is a police station next door.

Have stayed here @ least 4 times, always a great experience ! Nick on front desk was very pleasant & welcoming upon our arrival, early check-in request accommodated. All areas of hotel super clean, free guest parking, stylish furnishings in our suite, luxurious linens & towels, king bed super comfortable, lots of good pillows! At check-out, Pringal (has a very nice smile) genuinely interested in quality of our stay. We had 1 dinner & 2 breakfasts in on-site restaurant & bar, Element- very pleasant atmosphere, modern decor, all meals were very enjoyable & reasonably priced - hotel guests get 10% discount on food. Will definitely return again!

I stayed three nights in this hotel. It was average at best, but the bed was comfortable and there was a pool (which I did not use). Breakfasts were not free and began on 8:00 on weekends. That was too late for me. The room was quiet. The carpet needed attention. I think it could become a party place. On Sunday morning there were beer bottles in the elevator, but I didn't hear anything. There is a bar attached to the restaurant.

Just spent a night and booked the Wonderland package. It was worthwhile. Included two admissions to the park plus parking and breakfast at the hotel. Nice enough room. Restaurant was a bit loud but the food was good. Easy on and off Highway 400. Pool was a bit small.

the rooms and facilities such as pool and sauna were welcomed after a long hot day touring outdoors. however, room service for our dinner was unacceptable in its duration of trying to contact room service over 2+ hours having a response of we will call you when not busy and then hang up. we encountered this from 7 pm - 9 ;15 PM. Our order was taken at 9:17 PM and delivered at 9:35 pm. inadequate service for a hotel quest who is diabetic with 2 broken wrists!!!!

Nice friendly staff, lobby smells, looks and feels clean and refreshing to tired travelers. We have to wait for our room because we checked in bit early. We decided to have a late lunch in their restaurant while we wait. Josie, our server, is very helpful with directions to Lake Ontario. After lunch, we were greeted by this nice young gentleman (he's probably the boss) and compensated our wait with free breakfast for 2. For that, I'm giving this hotel 5 stars for customer service??. I will definitely comeback if I'm in town and will recommend this to my friends and family.

We stayed at Best Western Hotels in the past and wanted to try this one out. Previously we stayed at the Westin Harbor many times, but their pricing is getting out of hand. The Best Western gets an "average" rating. Nothing really negative or positive to report other than stained bed sheets that were removed after we complained. The room was fairly clean however we found the street and airplane noise somewhat loud. Restaurant and 'bar' looked rather primitive and did not entice us to try the food or drinks.

I headed to Toronto with my daughter and her friend to see a show at the Sony Theater in downtown Toronto. We chose to stay out of the downtown core. We had a great stay at this hotel. We have stayed at this hotel several times before. I have never had an issue. This stay was a little disappointing, in that, there were hairs in the bed. This gave cause to wonder if the sheets were clean. My suggestion to the housekeeping staff would be to be aware of things like this to prevent questioning of cleanliness.

We were very happy with our recent stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel in North York. The room was spacious, very clean, included a fridge, microwave, free Wi-Fi, good selection of TV channels, nice shower and a comfortable bed. Hotel included a very nice restaurant, swimming pool, hot tub, laundry room, gym, etc. Nick did an excellent job and was very helpful behind the reception desk. We will be recommending this hotel to our family and friends.

A conveniently location, clean room and decent attached restaurant domes up this hotel. It has a pool which was nice but pretty dirty so that we weren't comfortable using it for long. The rooms looked recently redecorated. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and dinner but there child's plates are expensive. Overall a positive all they need to do to make it perfect for families is to clean that pool.

The reviews and ratings listed this hotel as a 4 star hotel, when i booked the hotel that is what i was expecting, however it is only a 3 star hotel. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the rooms were clean, the pool facility was clean and nice. The food wasn't the best and the coffee needs improvement. Overall if i was in Toronto on business i would still stay here again.

I was greatly impressed with my room at the Best Western this past weekend. I stayed on a Saturday night, and the total cost was $120 which included the taxes and parking. The rooms were very clean, had all the necessary amenities, free wifi, and the bed was super comfortable. I also really liked the location as it was in a quiet neighbourhood, yet close to many restaurants and an international grocery store. I'd definitely stay here again and avoid the chaos (and prices) of downtown Toronto.

?? Another fantastic experience cannot complain!?? Stayed there on medical stay , I have to say staff was very great and cater to all needs and beyond ! I have to say I was very frustrated to hear a lady there screaming and ranting about the staff because they had booked a room online,and was taking it out at the staff because there was an issue ! Not realizing that when they book a room not through the hotel there's nothing the hotel can do ! I feel it is totally unfair to give a hotel a bad rating because they are ticked off at a booking company ! I have stayed here many times I have to say great Pool ,great hot tub ,great room service ,newly renovated bar and restaurant , food is absolutely fantastic! This is our 2nd time at the hotel and once again it did not disappoint. There is not much in the immediate location but we just needed a night to stay before heading into the city as we were travelling through. The room (king suite) was large, clean and provided us with a separate sleeping area from the kids. We enjoyed the pool but didn't try the restaurant. The internet was fast and had no issues connecting. Good value if you are looking for a suite in Toronto and convenient to the the highways (400, 401 ,407) so you can get to a lot of different areas of Toronto.

We stayed a total of 6 nights during two stays here. We had 3 rooms and all were the king suites. They all had separate bedrooms from sitting area but all had two full bathrooms. We got in on a multi-night deal so paid about $125/night/room. Coming from Alberta and given the size of the rooms we thought this was an extremely good value. A similar size of room in Calgary last year at the same time of year was just under $200. Check-in was very smooth and easy. All 3 rooms were very nice and clean. They were on the south side of the building with a bit of view downtown (and police station next door??). We noticed one of the rooms was missing a clock but they brought one up right away. The hotel was very close to hwy 400 but we did not hear any noise at all. Even with traffic backing up north of the hotel, we couldn't hear anything. Being close to the 400 getting to and from anywhere was very easy. Took about 15 min from Pearson Terminal 3. Hotel had good breakfast deals that we took advantage of each day. We had our 3 year old son with us and used the pool a couple times. Everything was clean and working. All in all we were very happy and would come back without hesitation if we were back in Toronto.

We stayed here one night before our trip. The rooms were clean. Just a nice moderate hotel nothing special. We stayed here because we needed a shuttle to the airport which was provided at no extra cost. We were able to leave a car there while we were gone too!

The Short: Great stay, great staff, CLEAN ROOMS, warm pool, easy access, Discounted breakfast (although not continental and no lobby coffee) Service: 5 star, plus ammen : 5 stars, Clean: 5 stars. Just lacking the most basic of basics! The long: I have stayed at this location twice now, the first time for 2 nights, this last time only the one night. (Checked out April 7/2016) This last time. Would stay and will be staying again. Jamae was responsible for our check in both times, very kind girl. She was quick and understood exactly what I was looking for. In the morning I got to deal with Pringal, also a great fellow and one other fellow, I didn't catch his name. My husband and I visited the attached restaurant, the food was great and our waitress was also phenomenal. My husband and I am a bit more reserved, a few of the other guests were a bit more rambunctious if you will, Paula did a great job making all parties happy. My only complaints: No free breakfast, I am happy with an apple, granola bar and a bottle of water/coffee for the road in a squeeze, sadly you wont find these in the lobby. I usually arrive late at night and out of there first thing in the morning and I need coffee... LOTS of coffee. Some in the lobby would be nice, or tea alternative if the issue is "freshness" Rooms are fair sized for the price range. Typically I am use to a larger suite or even standard room for a BW, but again my first focus is always is it clean and bug free... and YES it meets this criteria. The room, the lobby, the restaurant are all clean. The pool rooms floor could be kept a bit more cleaned up, although come on now people put your towel were it belongs your right there. Again, water was clean and warm. (not overly deep. Didn't check out the hot tub.)

My largest problem with this location is that my room, at least, has inadequate soundproofing. I was woken 6 times during the night. Two of those times were the people in adjacent rooms who were talking softly in an effort to be considerate. A couple of other problems were that the room smelled musty (I started down to the desk to ask to change rooms when I noticed that the same musty smell was in the stairwell) and that the sheets on the bed either had not been cleaned or had a stain even after laundering. I was exhausted and in my pajamas when I noticed the stain. It seemed too much trouble to ask for a change of rooms at that point. When I was checking out, I was asked about my stay and said that I would not be back. The desk clerk gave me $20 off my bill for my trouble, which I appreciated considering that I had already spent the night in one of the hotel's rooms. But given how poorly the rooms are soundproofed, I still won't be back. This is my second Best Western visit in a row where I had to deal with an odor in the room, so I think instead of giving Best Western a third chance, I'll give some other hotel their first chance. Sometimes reviews here on TripAdvisor get a reply that is clearly copy and pasted: "We hope you'll return to give us a chance to show you" etc. See, the thing is, you have to EARN the chance for a return visit, not just ASK for it. When I'm staying overnight, I don't ask for much: a clean room and a sound sleep. Nought out of two.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during a business trip to Toronto. Location is just next to the Jane and Finch area which can be a bit dodgy, but the hotel is located next to a police station and other similar hotels, felt quite safe. In general, the hotel surroundings were clean and well maintained. The lobby is attractively decorated and there is a small business centre with computers and printing available. There is a restaurant on site where we had breakfast every morning. Hotel guests get a discount on meals purchased there and there is a special, heavily discounted breakfast menu which is excellent for the price. I enjoyed the spinach omelette from the 'Healthier Choices' part of the menu. I was not impressed with the state of the swimming pool which just didn't look inviting and on the second day we were there, there was a notice on the door of the pool area saying that the hot tub (spa) had been closed by the Health Department. The room and bed was adequate, if a bit small. There is an LCD TV, a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. All in all, I would definitely stay there again if I have another business trip to that area, or even for a weekend in Toronto.

My husband, 3.5 year old and 6 month old and I were in Toronto for an athletic competition hosted at York University. We came down for the same event last year. At that time I stayed at the Best Western Plus Toronto North York and had been happy but for the restaurant. I'm happy to say the restaurant has been much improved since last year! We stayed in a king suite, one bedroom and one living room area. The furniture (including mattress) were in good condition. The room was clean and well appointed. Just like last year, we were particularly impressed by the staff at the hotel and we found the pool very nice - though I think the water needs to be cleaned more thoroughly, not that it stopped us from going in. The new restaurant is called Element. We were told it was like a Moxie's but a bit more family oriented. We aren't Moxie's customers, but we found the menu at the restaurant VASTLY improved from last year. We ate at the restaurant 4 times while we stayed there. Very good for both adults and kids and the evening restaurant staff was excellent (morning staff was a bit spotty…) Oh - and there were lots of value menu items for breakfast. Excellent value. Stayed March 2016, travelled with family.

My family and I visited this hotel last March(2015). There were six of us and we rented the two room suite. In one room there was a queen bed and the other room had a sofa with a pull-out bed. We also rented a cot (which cost too much in my opinion). The rooms were clean and each room had a deskt, a tv, a bathroom and closets. We did have a few problems at first with our bathroom. The tub wouldn't drain and then there was a clog in the sink but after contacting the front desk someone came and fixed it. I was reading the hotel book and it had mentioned some of the amenities of the place. It said they have shaving supplies but when I called downstairs they said they didn't have any. The channels in the book were not correct. We wanted extra pillows but they didn't have any they said. My kids enjoyed the pool (as they always do). There was some confusion with the washer and dryer. It said on it $2.50 but it actually cost $3. The guy at the front desk didn't realize it when I was asking him why the machine wouldn't work. There was no free breakfast. This hotel is connected to a restaurant. I forget the name but we went there a few times and it was OK. One time we went there and there was no staff working and it was not a pleasant visit. There was only one waitress and she was having a hard time and people were complaining and walking about and one guy was yelling very loudly about the service. After we got served, my wife felt bad for her and gave her a big tip. There are other amenities in the hotel, like an exercise room and computers and printers and things but we never had a chance or reason to use those. My wife's sister came by and she really liked our room. She lives in Toronto but when she couldn't use her apartment for a few days she actually rented the same suite from this Best Western because she liked it so much. If we were to go to Toronto again, I am sure we would probably go back to this Best Western. There are many hotels in this same area but this one had the suite that was able to hold all of us. It is better than having to rent two rooms.

Elevators need improvement. Small, old plastic buttons that are turned in every direction. Rooms are small, but comfortable. The hotel itself is very close to a major highway, great for getting too, but very loud in the room.

Fabulous customers service!! Absolutely loving be the pool and hot tub! Home away from home! Rooms are so clean and beautiful! Fabulous pub on site great food and karaoke on Friday nights!!! We stayed one night as we had a competition. It was a clean hotel and the pool was a good size and warm with a hot tub area. The fitness center was ok. Warning - breakfast was not included. Staff all seem like they need an upper but at least they weren't rude. Room was clean. The fuse of the hairdryer blew.

Jaime, Front desk clerk is so accommodating! She's super nice. Our room is a little small, but her kindness makes the stay worth it. She said she loves her job and it definitely shows. Even when she was busy, she handled it with ease. The room is very clean and I like the modern decor. The pool and hot tub are nice but I thought it would be a little bigger for a big hotel. I also wish there was more wheelchair accessible rooms for a big hotel or at least more shower chairs. Overall, Jaime has been our stay comforting! Thanks!

I slept one night in this hotel. The room is OK for the star rating and the Best Western Chain, the bathroom was a positive surprise. Fast wireless internet (Free), good selections on TV channels. Bed was a little bit old and hardly used which affected to the sleeping quality. Room was clean, and had a really good size. Good looking reception area with computers, and sitting area. The girl at the front desk has extremely beautiful eyes. Check in and check out was fast and simple. The elevator is the only one negative thing. Looks very old, and like an freight lift.. Was not clean at all, like the front door area. That would need more cleaning, especially the windows.

Is this the best hotel I've ever stayed in? No. Is it the best hotel I've stayed in for $86 a night? Quite possibly. When you arrive you will notice that the hotel is nothing to write home about. Its not flashy or grandeur, and inside will not massively blow you away either. This is not to say its shabby or dirty or old, but its not the Ritz Carlton we're talking about for sure. The car park is big though, plenty of room for your car and its clearly well maintained in the winter which makes parking even easier. The inside is pretty nice when you arrive, and its clearly been well maintained in the lobby area. I was greeted by friendly and attentive people at the front desk who helped me quickly and I felt pretty welcomed. They gave me my room and key and the lift was right next door which is always good when you are carrying a suitcase. When you get in the lift you begin to worry a little bit....they are clearly in need of a spring clean and a bit of a repair, but they work fine and get you to where you need to go. Where the real value in this hotel lies is in their rooms. While they are not huge, they are clean, modern, well maintained, with comfortable beds and a smashing bathroom! (The shower works great as well which is always a relief!) I've got to say for $86 a night, I was surprised with the quality. All in all, there is some real value in the price you pay for the rooms here and I always try and get in here when I work in the York Region area of Toronto.

This was a Christmas Gift for our grandchildren, ages 6 and 8 - they loved the pool and then we shared a movie in our room - great time had by all. It was very cold so we decided to eat at the restaurant at the Best Western - the food was very good - but the restaurant not busy at all - too bad because the staff were very friendly and cordial

Stayed here for one night. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The rooms were nicely appointed and very clean. Elevators could use a face lift, but then again it is just an elevator. Enjoyed my stay and would use this hotel again.

I stay at this hotel often. The location is perfect to get around to all areas of Toronto. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is fantastic too! Jaime, who usually checks me in is great and Nick who I see in the morning is always friendly and efficient. By far, my favorite hotel in the GTA

The hotel is alway clean and rooms are large and with nice bedding. Pool is really warm and hut tub hot, but wish alone was stronger jets. They have new movies to watch at a fair fee and like how the use refillable safe bottle for soaps. The new Resturant is awesome with cold beer on tap and food is better then most chains. Also the price is fair and close to Vaughan mills and movies at hwy 7. Yes the area is not as nice but safe and clean right beside police build with no noise.

This is a great hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. I had the opportunity t stay in the 2 room suite. It was great. No need to sit on the bed all evening. The sofa and chairs were a pleasant change and much more enjoyable than having to sit on the beds as in most hotels. I will definitely stay at this hotel whenever I am in Toronto.

Great service, bar and restaurant was very convenient. Restaurant prices were a little high, but average for Toronto. Servers were very friendly and inviting. Guest services were helpful and polite. Decor was great for a Best Western! Very Modern and up to date. Pool area was clean and well kept. Enjoyed the hot tub!

I needed a quick, no frills overnight north of the city... and this place delivered. The exterior and foyer are a bit tired but the girl at the check-in was super friendly when I called and when I arrived. I was surprised by the updated room and I could open the window for fresh air which is a bonus! There is a restaurant on site and it looked too bright and open for me, so I opted for room service, which was delicious! There are a lot of this range of cookie-cutter hotels in the area but the staff make this one stand out. IMO. :)

"Doubled preauthorization"

The hotel is fine for the price but they somehow managed to put 2 separate holds in different amounts on my credit card for a prepaid stay. When I asked about the second preauthorization I was told that it must be a computer glitch and that only the first $150 preauthorization is showing in their system and that when I check out they should both be cancelled. I'm not sure how the second hold will be cancelled if they can't even see it I'm guessing I'll be waiting until it ages out.

I came to Canada with a group of 7 people. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were very spacious and really clean. Unfortunately, the hotel was refurbishing their restaurant so we wasn't able to try a traditional Canadian breakfast. Muffin, an apple and juice was offered. The swimming pool was bigger than expected however, for an indoor pool you would expect it to be warm. The pool was freezing. Other than the restaurant being shut and the freezing pool, this hotel is perfect. would definitely stay again, good value for money.

we stayed here for 2 nights, this hotel is in a good location close to Canadas Wonderland and the freeway if going in or out of the city. The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfy, The have a nice indoor swimming pool and hot tub also. We were able to purchase our wonderland tickets at the front counter which was convenient. Nice front desk staff and overall a great stay at the best western, would go back. Good value.

I stayed at this hotel with 3 other friends during thanksgiving weekend. I have no words for how nice the staff is. The bartender in the restaurant, Samantha, is a very nice lady with a kind heart. The front desk employees were also very nice and helpful. We stayed in one of the suite rooms and it was just wonderful. We will definitely be staying in this hotel for any future trips to Canada. "Ensured We Were Satisfied"

I chose this hotel because I was specifically looking for a room with a jacuzzi. Many great hotels near Woodbridge were available, but this one seemed like the best option. Sadly, on arrival, the room reeked of cigarette smoke. Although a non-smoking hotel, it appeared the person staying before us had been chain smoking. Pretty unsatisfied about this, we called the front desk and invited them to come check it out themselves. No other rooms of this kind were available, and the spray they gave us to cover the smell only made the room smell like a bouquet of fake flowers, they finally decided to compliment the room for us. Obviously, this was not necessary for them to do, but it was very obvious that they felt horrible about the situation and wanted to make up for it. Thank you very much. Also, for any smokers out there, please don't smoke in a non-smoking room.

The hotel is just off the 400 HWY north of the 401. I was there on business and paid half of what other Toronto hotels charge. Parking was free, internet was free and as for breakfast, it cost $10 for a great full breakfast. Totally worth it. The hotel décor is older and could do with an update. I am there for a place to sleep and shower so the older carpet did not bother me enough to pay an extra$100 to stay some where prettier. I would like to say I an very fussy and a bit of a diva, YES I would stay here again. The staff at the front desk were relaxed and friendly, nothing was to much bother.

We reached the hotel arriving from ottawa so arrived at 1320 and the receptionist respond was "You are a little bit early". The hotel is nice and clean. Free parking. Linen cover was dirty. But our stay for the night was okay and good. Little bit far from downtown but with its price its good.

Mediocrity awaits! If you like the 24/ 7 drone of one of Ontario's busiest N/S highways, (Hwy 400), abandoned cars in the parking lot, the occasional cracked tile, third world elevator detailing, and a/c that churns on even when its 15 C then this place is for you.

Great suite, super comfortable bed & pillows with luxurious linens, very clean & nice furnishings, fridge & microwave, 2 large FS Tvs, work desk & free wifi; 2 full washrooms with tub & shower, separate seating area & comfortable sofa bed for our granddaughter. This was our 3rd stay & our preferred hotel when visiting this area!

Would have given them 5 stars, except on the first morning I was there I didn't have a breakfast menu in my room. I was trying to get ready to go get family members at the airport, so I called down stairs and asked for a menu which she said would be up in a few minutes. Over an hour later, I was ready to go so called back to tell them never mind, but no one answered then 2 minutes later a menu showed up. It's to bad they didn't have one in the room. This isn't a big issue for me but it could have been if someone was calling down to get food because they're diabetic. Something for the staff to keep in mind. I ate there twice and the food was delicious.

Spent two nights here in October 2015 and we were very satisfied. The front desk staff were very professional, courteous and accommodating. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We had a slight issue with the phone connection and with the help of the hotel maintenance staff the problem was resolved quickly and attentively. This property is relatively close to downtown either by car or metro. Metro station is about a 15 minute drive, but parking is only $5.00 CA. We highly recommend this hotel for either pleasure or business.

First, I got it for $58 US on Priceline. I needed a hotel near Vaughn Mills. Unlike the first BW Plus hotel I got (Brampton ON), this one was nicer. Room had updated furniture and the lamps had plugs built in plus there were plugs by the bed's nightstand lighting. Note the dispenser in the bathroom in the photos. Only con would be the lighting in the bathroom. Not that the hotel has control of this but I still have the 'pending' charge on my credit card for incidentals and I stayed there on 9/27/1205.

I always stay here, rooms are always clean and new. The staff is amazing and so friendly and accommodating. The front desk honestly makes you feel like you are at a family member's home. There is nothing they won't do to help out. WiFi connects easily and you don't loose connection. Nicely located right off 400 and lots of stuff right by. Took under 10 minutes to get into Canada's wonderland parking lot. The new restaurant located in the hotel was great. We had breakfast and were very pleased!

Our room was a standard hotel room, as expected; clean and comfortable, although both beds tilted slightly to one side: time to turn the mattresses! The room smelled very stuffy. Although the hotel sits right next to a busy highway and beneath the flight route of the nearby Pearson International Airport, the room is very quiet. The location, though in a neighborhood with little to offer, was perfect for the purpose of our trip. The staff is very friendly. At the time of our online booking, their webpage stipulated that "Our restaurant will be closed for renovation until August 17, 2015." (I have a printout of that page). However when we arrived Thursday August 27 in the evening, we were told that the restaurant was still closed and would re-open September 1. As a compensation we would receive a paper bag with a muffin and a juice box in the morning. So here we were: arriving at dinner time after a long transcontinental flight without dinner possibilities and with the prospect of a miserable paper bag breakfast in the morning. (There is no place nearby where you can have dinner if you do not have a car). We were paying for full hotel services, yet we were receiving less than B&B or motel services. Then, by some overnight magic ( the dwarfs must have been hard at work that night), the next morning the restaurant was open for breakfast! This hotel clearly has a communication problem: first they do not update the re-opening date of the restaurant and then the front desk did not even know that the restaurant would be open for breakfast the next morning. There is no breakfast buffet. Instead you choose from a menu with a choice of set breakfast types: eggs (scrambled, sunny side up, ...) with sausages or bacon or back ham, or pancakes, etc. Each choice has fresh fruit on the side and the portions are generous. Breakfast tasted very good (it usually does when you went to sleep without dinner the night before). The hotel has an indoor swimming pool. When I went for a swim at 7am when the pool opens, used towels were still laying around on chairs and on the ground. If I could post a picture of the stench of the towel I found in the dressing cabin, you would leave this page immediately. There is moss growth where the water stagnates on the uneven floor around the pool, making it extremely slippery. In some places you can actually see the green on the tiles. The water in the hot tub was not clear and did not look inviting at all. The day we left, the elevators were out of order. So we had to carry our luggage down the stairs with nobody to help (we are no longer in our twenties and I use a walker). They change US$ to CAD at a rate of 1-to-1. I fully understand that when changing money you pay a commission, but this seems quite a generous commission to me, considering this is a service to your guests. All in all, our stay was not a pleasant experience.

Checked in around 1pm and there were no towels in our room. We figured since we were early that they would get stocked. Left the hotel and came back around 7pm and there were still no towels. Called front desk and towels were dropped off. Went for breakfast at the restaurant and took my young daughter to the washroom there - only one stall had toilet paper. Went out for the day then to the pool then went to the room and There was no plug for the tub so my children could get a bath. It was late and we couldn't be bothered to call for one. Checked out on a Friday and realized on Saturday morning that my daughter left her puddle jumper (for the pool) in the bath tub where we put it to dry. Called the hotel at 9am to ask to have it sent to us. We were told someone would call us back within a few hours. It has now been almost a week.

We've stayed here for 2 weeks time . I can definitely say that this is the place to stay in the north area. This hotel is wonderful. Exceptional rooms clean comes with everything you need. The staff is always friendly and helps at a seconds notice. There are a variety of rooms. I stayed in a suite normally a person hears that word and avoids due to price. Here the suite rooms are unbelievably priced and wonderful if your looking for something alil larger or staying alil longer . The suite I stayed in had one king sized bed new LG mounted flat screen tv a large bathroom very modern and clean . The second room is attached . In the second room there is a desk another bathroom and a queen pull out bed . Both beds are very comfortable bedding is immaculate. Another large screen flat screen TV and microwave and fridge. They also offer kitchenette suites if you wish to cook while here . There is a door between rooms that locks for privacy if and when needed. Free wifi, a huge indoor pool area w hottub open 7am to 11pm daily. Fitness center, guest laundry and even a restaurant right on site to make dining for breakfast lunch and dinner very easy. They offer a menu full of delicious dishes to suit any palate. Or stop by for a night cap before heading off to bed. Room service is also available. The pool area is great for all ages not to deep in some areas for the little swimmers. Very clean and lovely to use. There are 3 large computers in the lobby for any guest to use free of charge. Everything is modern up to date new and exceptionally clean. The lobby area is a great area as well offering couches another large flat screen t.v and done in lovely decor. The hotel is very close to many stores shops attractions such as Canada's wonderland or Vaughan Mills Mall. Close to highways making it a commuters dream. Hospital is literally 2 min away. I cannot say enough good things this truly has been the best hotel experience in my lifetime here in North Toronto. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a affordable place to stay with fantastic amenities on site or just steps away. If trip advisor offered 6 outta 6 that would be what the Best Western Plus deserves hands down the best hotel in area and maybe even further .Thank you Best Western for a truly amazing stay.
