Best Western Plus Orange County Airport North

It was a very nice, clean hotel. The overall area is very much a business district, but the street the hotel is on is in a sea of other hotels. We felt very safe there. The pictures on the website showed tubs in the bathrooms, but we did not get one so if that is important to you, as it is to us, make sure to ask for one. They were not able to change our room. The breakfast was good. The hot tub was luke warm, at best. Most of the employees were very nice. I received 2 bottles of water at check-in for being a platinum member, which I always appreciate. I would stay there again, if I was in the area.

The facility was pretty much as expected. Room came with a microwave and refrigerator which was much appreciated. Amenities were really good. Free parking, wifi, and full breakfast. Staff was friendly. Overall a good experience.

Horrible experience. It was Saturday and the hotel decided to drill and hammer into the ceiling in the room below below our room fr the entire day. When asked to please postpone the drilling and hammering the person on staff at the front desk was very rude and refused to do anything about it while my family was desperately trying to sleep. With the rude staff and the refusal to put the client first I would absolutely not recommended this hotel for couples or families. There are tons of hotels all around this hotel next door and a cross the street on all sides, and I would definitely reccomended that you stay in one of them

We stayed here three nights. First two nights were quiet and we were able to sleep fine. But the last night, we had a problem, which wasn't handled properly by the staff. We went to sleep around 10pm, but noise from above woke us up. It sounded like the guest above us was sawing something. Whatever it was, it was loud enough to woke and kept us up. It went on for a while then I called the front desk. The front desk called the room above us. Then suddenly there was a stomping started… wtf? The guest above us was stomping like a child… So I called the front desk again, but this time the this guy decided to yell and berate me… ok so now I had to deal with two psychopaths… couldn't believe what was happening. It was like a shanty town drama. The front desk said this, “you're creating the problem, you're the trouble maker” what f is the problem of this guy? Why is he working at the front desk if he can't talk like a decent human being?? Really unbelievably disgusted to be at this place. Next morning, when checking out there were two ladies at the desk and they understood the situation and apologetic. They gave me the info of GM and told me that GM would give me a call, which never happened… I wouldn't recommend this place. Also breakfast was pretty bad. We ended up getting breakfast somewhere else.

This location is at the 55 at Dyer, near Red Hill. Closer to Tustin than Santa Ana. Clean, good service, reliable internet, free very basic breakfast, good coffee, hot tub and pool. We;ve stayed there 15 or so days over time. Same and consistent.

The staff are always warm and welcoming, with superb knowledge of not only their property but of the area. The free breakfast offered is always fresh and warm with friendly staff to serve it, and they never run out of coffee. The rooms are impeccably, clean, updated and smell fresh when you first walk in. overall superb level of service and a wonderful property, each time I stay.

It's about 7 to 10 minute drive to the park. It is very easy to get to the toy story parking lot and catch a bus from there to Disneyland. Stay outside of Anaheim and save yourself some money because you are paying more in taxes to stay in Anaheim and that's more money better spent on feeding the family

I would absolutely stay here again. Especially for the price. The front desk staff were very friendly, the room was very clean and well updated. It had everything you would need: microwave, mini-fridge, usb charging ports, air conditioning, etc. The hot breakfast was an appreciated bonus.

Horrible experience after staying there almost 8 times in the past! Manager and staff very rude and couldn't resolve an unsafe situation that escalated with other parties at hotel during our stay. We were bullied and allied against and threatened. There were people spitting in the pool to our child and over 15 people in the jacuzzi (capacity is 4) and wouldn't let other guests in. No parking spots enough for guests. Staff at breakfast acting as if we are stealing food although we already paid for our stay plus $200 deposit ridiculous. Management did nothing and recommended us to leave and we did. They never reimbursed us for our night that we didn't stay not even a discount! Definitely not a best western but a worst western. So many better hotels to stay in area with nicer rooms and staff with less cost.

Stayed for one night in August 2023. The front staff in the night was very friend. Check in was quick, the front staff went over all the amenties and timings, provided a map of the room and the best parking spot for the room. The room was clean nothing fancy. Perfect for a 1 night trip. The break fast was standard continental breakfast. Eggs were kind of made to order. Enough fruits and other continental breakfast items. Over all value for money and I would stay again at this location.

I am reposting this review again because it was absolutely the worst hotel and experience I have EVER had and I travel A LOT for work. This reveiw is several months old and since then NOTHING has changed. I can tell by all the 1 star reviews. I recently stayed in another OC Best Western in Placenta also OC. I was nervous about staying in another BW since this one is such a train wreck. Wow so glad I did and I highly recommend the manager was outstanding! I WILL NEVER STAY at this location AGAIN and since I left this review the first time. The manager HUY never once reached out to me to apologize for WALKING OUT ON A CONVERSATON. We were having a private conversation. I regret not recording it. It was regarding his very RUDE and unprofesional staff and the unbelivable mistakes and unprofessionalism. He had his opportunity to make it right and he DID NOTHING got up from this chair and said THIS CONVERSATION IS OVER and walked out!!! The most unprofessional MANAGER i have ever encountered. He seriously needs to find a different career??? If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would...I usually stay at IHG's as I have been staying in them for years and have always had EXCELLENT service but I thought I would give Best Western a chance. Wow do I regret it….SMH. Okay so let's start when I first checked in…I travel a lot for work. I don't have a company credit card. I get reimbursed and it can take as many as 3 weeks. Lately work has been quite busy and have been traveling a lot and it gets quite expensive as you all know. My BF has been trying to help me out so we booked the room under his credit card. I thought it was paid for but unfortunately it was just being held. So when I checked in they wouldn't let me use the card because he wasn't there. It was going to be approx.- $400. I asked if we could call him. They flat out told me no we can't accept it. Great now I'm out $400. After I got to my room I realized I actually did have a cc that I could use. I immediately went downstairs and asked if I could switch cards because I did have a credit card. They told me it's too late they already ran my debit card and it includes a $200 deposit that can take up to 3 business days. They did tell me the following: PRIOR TO CHECK OUT GIVE US THE CARD YOU WANT TO USE AND WE WILL BILL THAT CARD. I figured I was there working for 4 days and by the time I checked out the funds would be available on my debit card and I would have access to my $400 again. Breakfast: I specially called prior to booking this place and asked what time do you serve breakfast? They told me 6:30. I explained to them I start work at 7:00 so can I get to go? They told me yes. Eating a GOOD breakfast is vital I usually work 10 hr days with no break. They are so strict with breakfast it's ridiculous? There are post it and signs everywhere about the rules its ridiculous and makes the place look cheap. They give you this paper meal ticket that you MUST take with you which makes no sense because breakfast is free for everyone so the ticket is a waste of time buf if you don't have it you don't get breakfast. You give them your ticket and you pick what you want off another sign RME. I asked them, don't you have anything that is ready that I can just grab? They said no, you tell us what you want and we will cook it for you. Are you kidding me??? I don't have time to wait for them to cook something??? Not everyone has the luxury to take ½ hour for breakfast. How hard it is to have breakfast sandwiches, yogurt etc in a brown paper bag for people to grab and take with them as an option for people that are in town for work. That's what everyone else does…So now I have to go shopping to buy my own food to make breakfast for myself for the rest of the week so I can be out the door by 6:30.. There was another sign in the front that says “Ask us about our grab and go breakfast”. I asked them how do I get this? After they just told me they don't have anythig to go.They said you can get a granola bar and I piece of fruit to go. This is not breakfast it's a snack…RME The room: There is no carpet just hard floors so you better bring flip flops or slippers if you want to walk around barefoot. Gross…. I opened a drawer and it had hair in it and it smelled strange and when I opened the closet door moths flew out! Ewwwww! In a nutshell the staff is FLAT OUT RUDE! I literally got yelled at because I didn't walk across the room to put my tray away because I was running late for work since I had to make my own breakfast.... The clerk was literally just standing there behind the glass with a stupid smirk on his face??? I was hung up on and they charged THE WRONG PERSONS ROOM to my card so now I have to wait for 3 days for them to release the hold of over $1,200 on 2 different cards!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!!! The Manager Huy gave me a snotty apology and said we are finished and WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM. Do youself a favor and stay somewhere else. Unless you don't mind RUDE employees, strange smells and moths in your room and a breakfast that belongs in the trash! You will thank me later...SMHagain

This property is excellent! Everything was clean, great facility, super friendly staff, hot breakfast included, SAFE location, pool...perfect! Our family will definitely be staying here in the future.

We have been staying at this location 2-3 nights a week for over two years. The employees are top notch and we would not stay at any other location while working part time and 90 miles from home. So grateful to have found a comfortable place to stay.

The breakfast staff and cleaning staff are excellent. Rooms were well-maintained and in good working order. The general manager (Huy Teng) and Ian (Night check-in clerk) were extremely rude. They wanted to keep a copy of the guest's ID on file for the stay. The reason was that due to hotel guest was an out-of-state visitor thus to comply with state and federal laws. As far as I know, there is no law requiring this therefore it shouldn't be necessary. I was able to check in without requiring a photocopying ID but it should not be this difficult to check in to the hotel. I understand each property can set its own rules and regulation regarding ID verification, but this is unheard of in many years of traveling in North America/the state of California. If the hotel wanted to make a photocopy and keep an ID on file, they will need a sign/notice at a check-in desk citing their policy. Just as they do for CCTV/Security cameras.

The property is extremely clean and quiet. It is close to the freeway, so that was very convenient. The hotel is located on a street with a number of other hotel chains and the area seemed to be largely comprised of offices/industrial use. I had to use Google Maps to find a drug store and a grocery store because I couldn't find one just by driving around and hoping to stumble on one. It would be helpful if the hotel could provide a list of nearby amenities and place it in the room. Oddly, the hotel doesn't have a restaurant but has an extensive room service menu. I'm curious as to where they source the entrees. The staff is friendly, helpful and responsive. The breakfast was okay and has room for improvement but, hey, free is free and the coffee was fresh and hot.

Outdated hotel. Pictures seen on booking site are not accurate. Would pay more for a modern facility. Beds need replacement, pillows are from the 60's. Furniture also needs to be of this decade. Only ate the breakfast once because it was cold.

This Best Western was excellent. It was convenient to the airport, very nicely updated rooms and common areas, excellent customer service, very tasty full breakfast, etc. Good price for the room (used partial points, but still reasonably priced without the points) Definitely recommend staying here.

Had a great stay with my daughter. Great price. Very clean. Nice staff. Pool and jacuzzi. Convenient to all freeways.would definitely stay again.Minutes to all Orange County attractions. Recommend for an affordable, quality stay. Real eggs at breakfast. Nice choices.

SUPER CLEAN property and rooms! Friendly staff, Good Breakfast, EXCELLENT coffee :) King bed was very comfortable, towels above average. Hard floors were great- NO smelly, yucky carpet. I always felt very safe. Good Location for my needs. Would DEFINITELY recommend and will stay there again.

This Best Western Plus in Santa Ana is a very good place to spend a night or two while in the area. Located amidst several other hotels along the Hotel Terrace road, the spacious facility is in line with other Best Western facilities. Clean, quiet rooms combined with free parking and a reasonable hot breakfast proved enough for a quick stopover stay. Would strongly consider staying again.

Not what I expected, there was a spider in the bath tub, and a water leak wetting the bed and floor as well. I told the attendant while I was checking out and they really acted like they didn't care!!

This hotel is very clean, comfortable beds, nice rooms, with all the amenities needed for short and long stay. Daily hot and cold breakfasts menu are prepared quick easy for those on the go. Staff is always available for any questions as well as they help each other.

Great characteristics there and breakfast was awesome. Never had a problem with anyone. Deposit is reasonable and fair. The customer service experience was great. My partner enjoyed his stay and would like us to return back here.

This hotel is in a nice location. Even though it is by the airport, you don't hear any planes whatsoever. Overall great experience. Room was clean, staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The young woman at the front counter was so kind to my husband when checking in. He arrived on motorcycle and she was knowledgeable enough to show him a good spot to avoid the sprinklers. Breakfast was very good. Room clean. Would stay here again. I really want to share how awesome the staff were. They had smiles and did whatever they could to make us feel welcome.

Staff was judgmental didn't appreciate their attitude with me checking in they assume I was there to party and i was apparently planning on having multiple other friends over to the room which was not even the case at all

I had 2 king sized room that were spacious. The Wifi and internet were very good along with the breakfast. Check in and check out were easy and the staff were considerate. I will stay here again. Especially because the priece was right

No complaints here! The room was everything we needed. The hot breakfast was very nice and the menu changes daily. Great front desk people. Nice grounds, clean everywhere. Plenty of parking. We could hear a little ‘neighbor noise' but overall a quiet place.

We stayed in several BW plus properties near UC Irvine and this was the closest, most convenient, and most business like compared to other BW plus in the area. It is located in a hotel row, right beside the hampton inn, but with a more friendly rate. The room is not the largest but fits a family of 4 - two teens, comfortably. It does have all the BW plus amenities, including a full hot breakfast (one plate per person, keep your voucher, menu varies daily), although not self service but sufficient for your needs, plus it keeps the rate low. We actually stayed twice in this property, and the first time, I was going to quibble that the hotel has a BW plus label without a waffle machine for breakfast, but on our second stay, about a week later, the waffle machine was there (although not self-service). So I am grading 5 for location, cleaness, rate and convenience, and grading a 4 for room size and breakfast. All in all, I think this is the place to stay when in Irvine for a quick stay.

Enjoyable stay for my son's Junior National Swim meet in nearby Irvine. The hotel was very clean, comfortable & had a nice breakfast and pool. The maid service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again!

I booked this hotel based on ratings I had no idea it had a heated pool or that breakfast was included. I was very pleased with all the amenities and my daughters and I can't wait to go back. P.S. The beds are extremely comfortable!

Checking out: This if where It got interesting….I should of grabbed a valet when I checked out but I was running late for my 7:00 start time for work. I was completely loaded with my luggage work stuff, food etc. There was an Asian guy behind the glass. I explained to him. I do not want to use the card I checked in with. I want to use this card. He said okay and took the other card. I also asked for a receipt. I took it thanked him shoved it in my purse and ran out the door. When I was loading my car up I realized that I had the tray from my room in my car. I was using this since I had to cook my own breakfast and eat it on the way to work. I grabbed the tray ran inside and there was a young man behind the glass doing NOTHING. No one else was in the lobby. I told him “Oh I forgot I had this in my car”. He points across the room and said “It goes in the cafeteria”. (Actually it doesn't it was what the ice bucket was sitting on in my room) I told him sorry I don't have time and left it on the front counter. He SCREAMS AT ME! THANKS A LOT&%$!! YOUR LOVELY$%^! I almost laughed because I couldn't believe this PUNK was SCREAMING a t me and doing NOTHING! I go to work and just happen to call my credit union about something else. Oh can you check my account please, I checked out of a hotel this morning and want to make sure that there are no holds on my funds. They tell me the following: There is $620 on hold!!! Im like what? $620?? First of all the hold is not supposed to be there and 2nd of all that's too much???? I told her hold on a second let me check my receipt…THEY CHARGED the WRONG ROOM to my card????? It wasn't even my name??? It was someone else's...Now I'm mad…I called the hotel back and talked to Cashell or something like that. She pretty much said there's nothing she could do and that I needed to speak to the manager and then SHE HUNG UP ON ME??!!! She did tell me if he was an Asian guy that was Huy and he was the manager and would be in at 3:00. I immediately called Best Western Cust Serv and told them everything. They told me that you could of filled out an authorization form re your BF's CC and they could of used it….I told them that they never offered that to me. After I explained everything they pretty much just listened to me and said any compensation for anything needs to come from the manager? I got off early that day and decided to talked to Huy in person. When I arrived the lobby was full. I was so upset but I didn't make a scene. I just waited and asked to speak to the Manager. He said he was the manager. This was a different guy that checked me out this morning. He said we could go in the cafeteria and talk. I told him how upset I was and I was going to try my best to keep calm. I told him EVERYTHING and how rude his employees were, how the rooms were dirty etc. I told him how corporate said I could of filled out an authorization form re my BF's CC. He flat out said. WE DON'T DO THAT HERE. He said all BW are run independently. RME..When I was finished he took both of my cards and left came back and handed everything back and said he put the correct room on my card and credited me back on my debit card. He said the hold can be up to 3 days! Now….I have 2 cards with holds…The one that was charged with the wrong room and also my debit card so now I have almost $1000K on hold??? Again he just sitting there with a BLANK look on his face. I told him, you know you haven't even apologized ONCE for ANYTHING???? Don't you train your employess re cust service or spot check rooms. He looks as me with a blank look on his face and in a smart aleck tone says – I'm sorry and WE ARE DONE HERE AND I KID YOU NOT….WALKS OUT OF THE ROOM. I was shocked…When went through the lobby I told everyone that they should stay somewhere else because they will charge the wrong room on your card and then you have hold on your account for 3 days? I called BW Customer service and they told me how embarrassed they were that this hotel is part of BW and how embarrassed they were in the way Huy handled everything. I am being compensated for this poor and pathetic excuse for a hotel. Do yourself a favor and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE and Huy I have one word for you and your RUDE employees…..KARMA

If I could rate the hotel and the experience it would be a NEGATIVE 5 stars. NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE. There was no POSITIVE coming from this visit. Nor the manager or front staff was helpful. Poor customer service. Awaiting Check in to my room that the manager stated “There is no reservation for you” “I can give you a handicap assemble room, that's all I can do” A 200.00 deposit was needed, that was only suppose to be a hold until check out. The manager assured me the 200.00 hold would be released and not charged by checkout the following day. I checked out early and was charged the full 200.00 the next day. I called the manager to inform him I was charged. His reply “You weren't charged, give it 1-3 days” I explained to him that I was in fact charged the full 200.00. His reply “I don't know what to tell you, maybe you need to call your bank” I had to open a dispute with my bank, awaiting a response. The hotel staff was not welcoming at all, the manager was the worst one of them all. Not helpful, not accommodating or trying to find a solution. The room had a horrible smell. The bathroom had no ventilation, and the water from the shower filled the whole bathroom. Multiple towels had to be used to clean up all the water. I couldn't image a handicap individual having to deal with that issue in the bathroom. It wasn't safe for me or my child. Definitely a hazard for falls. Not a good look for this hotel. We will not be staying at any other Best Western Hotel. That was the last of my money they will receive. The room was nothing special, definitely too low budget to even charge a 200.00 deposit. I didn't understand the deposit being more than the hotel price itself. Other High end hotels only ask for a 75.00 deposit and that is just a hold placed if you happen to charge items on the room. This is ridiculous and the Corporate office definitely needs to take a look at their hotels, management and employees. I will definitely share my experience with Best Western to anyone who is traveling. That will be to “STAY AWAY, save your sanity, money and your time”

Horrible customer service before and during stay. I booked 9 rooms through the Best Western rewards app for a team event. Five days prior I called the hotel direct to cancel the first night for two of the rooms and cancel one room. Upon checking in LATE Friday night, which was a unnecessary difficult process, we went to our room which was clean, but nothing special. The next day when one parent goes to check into one room that is supposed to have been changed to Sat only, they are told we did not have any and that my card was charged due to no showing for these three rooms that were supposed to have been cancelled that night and they only have one room to give us for that night. When I went down, the manager would do NOTHING, basically saying he has no proof I called. I went back in my phone log to show him the call. Then he said he has no proof of what I said when I called. I told him I reiterated my requests several times because I could tell the person wasn't listening but said they had it. He said then I should have called back the next day, really? My husband lost it at this point because of the horrible customer service abs the manager would not reverse the charges. I will be fighting them through my credit card. Terrible, incompetent and dishonest.

If you have to Uber, it's under $10. The room was exceptionally clean & quiet. The towels are excellent quality. I had 4 wash cloths in my room, enough towels to wrap my wet hair & body towels. The room had working heat.

This hotel is a great place to stay. Very clean, quiet & feel safe. Conveniently located within a few miles of Tustin Legacy and Diamond Jamboree where you can find many delicious dining options among a great variety of cuisines.

Excellent place to stay at reasonable price. Management and staff were courteous and professional. I would definitely stay at the hotel the next time I am in this area. Not only is it located near the airport, but also near shopping and restaurants.

That is a little bit busy when we arrive, but the helpdesk personnel was checking us in very quick and helping to set my family room are close to each other. Breakfast was hot and tasty. The internet was good and reliable. Express check out option is so convenient for us when we taking off early and didn't want to bother anyone. We absolutely recommend this great hotel to everyone. Enjoyed my stay,The breakfast was good but only concern was the restrictions on the items served for each guest.The heating unit stopped working but the front desk helped me to shift to a new room. Definitely would consider staying again.

This is a very clean hotel, the customer service is so friendly, and the location is perfect for traveling around and good amount of parking and I feel safe here. I will stay here again whenever I am in this area

Needed to be in OC for my grandmother in the hospital. Staff were very courteous about my constantly adjusting schedule extending my stay. Location very convenient to Newport Beach (and Hoag hospital) being right off the 55. Rooms recently updated, very nice.

Clean and safe place to stay. Management and staff are courteous and professional. Plenty of near by restaurants and shopping. I was on a business trip and the Wifi was excellent. Even though the hotel is located near the airport, noise was not a big problem.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The room was big, clean and nice. There were ice machines on the hall way. Check in and check out were quick. There is Costco not far way and many of my favorite restaurants were near by. It was good location and the hotel is reasonable.

The rooms are beautiful, the pool is great. However, we had to keep socks on while in the room. The floors were filthy, just a few steps and we had Flintstone feet. We found a pill under our bed and the beds move with any type of pressure, no locks on wheels. It's a great place just needs a little more detail on the things that matter, like being cleaned properly in a pandemic.

Celebrating birthday at Best Western Plus- Santa Ana. FIRST NIGHT after midnight I awaken to something crawling and biting. Awakening my boyfriend we turn on lights and bite marks, welts and bumps all on dude I was sleeping on. We look at bed and see something crawling, we kill it with blood coming out, take a picture and call front desk. We demanded a new room reporting the incident. A maintenance man came with new room keys. We showed him the welts and bites and the bug on a Kleenex indicating pictures takened. HE said "they're suppose to check rooms for this". We get Manager's name HUY TANG. Front desk stated he will be in touch at 8:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m. we call front desk..not in until 12:30p.m. NO CALL so we go to front desk. Huy Tang accused us of lying saying he " didn't trust our pictures or phone". Showed him fresh bites, pictures and DEMAND for room change and maintenance seeing all. He still was rude, indifferent, and when asked for 1st Aid to treat said they "don't have anything" He finally said you can check out and he'd take 1/2 off of my sleepless night/morning. We tried to find another hotel near because of our plans to stay August 9th to 12th. Couldn't find. WE were forced to stay in other room having tickets, reservations and living 1 1/2 hours away. This was a damn nightmare with $72.00 and change compensated. I am in itching, welting, rash pain. DON'T GO!

The room and staff were fine. There were sketchy people hanging outside in the evenings. It made our stay very uncomfortable going to the car or even to the ice machine. Once we were inside our room, it was ok.

As usual, BW offers hotel guests best valued travel accommodations without compromising on comfort. BW will be our family's first choice when it comes to hotels. The location was most convenient and guest services were excellent.

We stayed on a Monday night in July, and this Best Western was an enjoyable part of our trip. The hoel is older but well maintained, and the room was remodeled and was spacious and comfortable. There were a significant number of channel options on the television, and the bathroom was well laid out and functional. The morning breakfast was good, but was still operating under Covid conditions (someone took your order from behind a barrier, and served us a pre-prepared plate). Parking was a bit tight with smaller parking places, but, compared to other area hotels, was FREE, with no required valet. The price we paid was commensurate with the costs of the area (gas was $4.41 in CA and $3.01 in AZ, so....) Staff were nice, and check-in / check-out went smoothly and quickly. We will be travelling to this area often the the coming months, and we will likely be staying at this Best Western when we do. A very good experience.

The hotel was decent overall. The room was clean and comfortable, but did have an odd chemical smell that lingered despite having the door open for an extended period. I don't know if it was a cleaning chemical or something from the A/C. It was well-maintained otherwise. The location was good for what we needed. The pool and landscaping were attractive. I'm maybe a little tough on my overall review score, but it was significantly overpriced for a basic mid-range hotel. I realize that the past year was tough for hotels, but trying to recoup it all this year won't make many friends.

It was a pleasure to stay here good people awesome service and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was modified but it was very good still with being modified. The helpful service from David and the others working the front desk was awesome excellent service overall . I would recommend this hotel to friends and families looking for a good and comfortable hotel to stay.

This is one of our favorite hotels in the area. Clean and comfy rooms. Excellent customer service. from friendly,, courteous staff.. Nice hot breakfast. Convenient location. Minutes to shopping centers & restaurants. Highly recommended.

When compared with other hotel stays I've had, the Best Western Plus Orange County Airport North was excellent. They changed sheets and towels daily, and they provided a great hot breakfast. Well done!

We had occasion to spend a night at the hotel preceding a flight out of John Wayne. It is very convenient to the airport, though the hotel is currently not offering shuttle service. The room was very nice and well-maintained. All the usual amenities included, and the price was very reasonable. Overall, it is a comfortable spot to stay. The only downside with the room for me is that the bed was very soft -- not enough support for me -- though some may like it that way. There were a couple of other complaints. One is that I asked for a wake-up call and it never came. (Don't rely on them) The other is that the breakfast room was understaffed. Once COVID ends and self-service is permitted, that should alleviate some of the issues.

Visiting family in the area so was barely there. Room was average, and I slept well. Slow toilet drain but no biggie. Staff was great and above average. Disappointed the pool was closed but its Covid19 so kind of expected but other pools on the trip were open. Outside looks great. Met expectations for the price. Recommend for no frills stay.

There are some not so great BW's in the local John Wayne area. THIS BEST WESTERN IS A GEM. I AM GRATEFUL I FOUND IT! Clean, great location, and very helpful front desk staff. This will be my go to when I'm in OC!

I have stayed at this location several times over the last year. Breakfast staff and front desk had always been friendly and helpful. This time has been very disappointing. My husband was talking on the phone right outside the hotel when a homeless man started harassing him. Benjamin at front desk was on the phone and ignored my husband's plea for help. Benjamin let the homeless stay in the lobby without a mask. When asked for the general manager's name, Benjamin failed to furnish the information. His lack of consideration for customers' safety is unacceptable by any standard. How can a big brand name like Best Western can afford such egregious mistake and forsake customers safety during this pandemic. Go somewhere else. This is not worth your life.

Beautiful, modern, clean rooms with superlative hospitality from staff. Breakfast and, on-site parking included in rate. Very reasonable rates for a hotel in North Central Orange County. I would highly recommend however, area security concerns can pose an issue.

Located close to the airport and within walking distance of a decent indoor/ outdoor restaurant. Shops and restaurants are within a few minutes driving distance. Front desk has always been friendly and fast at check in/ checkout. Layout is a bit odd if you like using the stairs as stairs are towards the outer corners of the building. You can access your room on any floor from the outside, no need to go into the lobby unless you need the elevator. Rooms have nice clean hard surface floors, some have territorial or pool views. Rooms have a work desk , small couch and table to eat..fridge. microwave and a good size closet with luggage stand.. Outlets on lamp bases are a bit misplaced for many wallwart plugs. Clean shower and tubs all worked well. Occasionally have seen water drain slowly on 3rd floor, but everything worked. The climate control is a wall unit and they are a bit louder than central systems, but they work well and the room was comfortable. Breakfast has a variety of choices that change over the week. Pancakes, waffles,breads, hash browns, eggs, meats, yogurts, fruits, juices and pastries, served up quickly by nice ladies. No gym or other recreational facilities were open yet, but that is a product of the uneducated local health dept.workers keeping some geographical areas amenities closed while others are open.

My stay here was GRREAT! I get it with the whole Covid-19 going on and restrictions but thank you for the wonderful breakfast. Amazing service from Front Desk to Breakfast ladies, even housekeeping. Ty!!!

My wife and I stayed here on Thursday September 17, 2020. I checked out on Tuesday 22 and I did not have a good experience. We stayed on room 332 on the 3rd floor. Our first night while my wife was in the bathroom drying her hands, she saw a lizard on the floor. We assume it was on the towels but my wife was really scared. We were shocked since we had never had a problem in any hotel and this one that is supposedly "highly recommended" offered us this horrendous experience. After a few seconds when the panic went down, we caught the lizard with a towel and put it in a bag. We decided to take it to the front desk to let them know what happened and even worse was the experience with the receptionist. Without even apologizing, he just made a rude comment asking if we were afraid of a lizard. Later he told us that he would write it in his notes to let his manager know and no one ever followed up. Instead we followed up with the morning receptionist the following mornign and she just said that she did not know why it happened. I can't believe that this hotel did not do anything about it. Other thank that the service was okay

I stayed at this facility due to having an early flight the next morning. I later realized they charged me an additional $200. When I called about that fee I was told it was for having a dog in the room. I offered proof that I traveled to and from California without a dog. I requested they review their security cameras to see that I arrived and checked out without a dog. The GM that identified himself as Huy Tang only replied (repeatedly) with, “The housekeeping supervisor verified it so there is nothing I can do.” The dismissal of my requests makes me think they are trying to make up for some of their lost income during the COVID-19 pandemic. Beware!

Had a house rented for our trip that was canceled last minute. All the hotels were pretty much booked up because of a convention. Booked this place because it was the cleanest looking one left. What a relief when we got there. I give it 5 stars for being clean, quiet, friendly, with comfortable beds, free breakfast, pool, jacuzzi, nicely decorated & easy on & off the freeway. . We had 12 of us & rented 4 rooms for 11 days & have no complaints. Our stay was EXCELLENT! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything about the hotel was good. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the tv worked. Best of all was the free cooked to order breakfast. No more scrambled only egg options, I got to have the runny yolk that I love.

This is hotel was quite clean, had a great location (safe and close to everything), and the staff was very friendly and helpful! I was quite impressed by their freshly made breakfast served on hot plates, nice coffee as well. I noticed that they had a nice pool but I was too rush to use it this time, wondering if it's a heated pool. Would definitely try it next time. Overall, this hotel is of a great value!!

During my late evening check-in for three rooms the staff was very courteous. They were patient and flexible with the explanation of three different names for each room, amt of keys and checking in at different times. They explained the grounds and where to park very thoroughly. Our request to have two of the rooms adjoining was honored and they were able to place the third room two doors away, so our party was close. The floors are laminate flooring, which feels a bit loud and cold, but the temperature of the room without using any air was comfortable the entire stay. Our room was facing into the middle parking lot, and with exception of our party (7 women) and another group of youngsters, the rest of the hotel was quiet, although it seems to have full capacity. The breakfast was delicious with different menu options each day including eggs, meat, hashbrown/waffle or pancakes, and a self-serve bar for cereals, oatmeal, juice, bread & bagels w/ cream cheese, pastries and beverages. The staff in the dining room were also very courteous. If I am in this area again, I will stay at this hotel.

**they are doing renovations on the 3rd floor My room had the new upgrades... wood laminate floor, new bed, furniture, etc and I thought it looked really nice. Check in & check out was fast and easy. Breakfast has the typical continental fare as well as your choice of 3 options of hot items. Eggs, pancakes, waffle or toast and some type of breakfast meat which was pretty good and was cooked when ordered which was nice and it was served quickly. Also, I was on the 3rd floor so I'm not sure how the laminate floors are going to sound on the 1st or 2nd floors, hopefully not to noisy. I didn't use the pool or fitness center but I did notice the pool was heated. I would stay here again when back in the area.

we stayed there 5 feb-11feb 20, have stayed there once a week for 4-5 years when we have had problems in past visits they were quickly addressed(see my yelp /google reviews for details), no issues this visit except for smoker on walkway , desk said to call and they would send someone.No credit card issues, maid left extra towels as requested each day, used bike in fitness room, staff has been always been helpful when we interacted with them. no wifi to business printer so front desk emailed our boarding passes to front desk and printed them, wifi in rooms is good

The hotel is great our family saved a lot of money. Breakfast is free with your stay and the breakfast is hot and fresh all you can eat .The rooms are so fresh and clean .The swimming pool is clean .Excellent customer service the .The whole family was impressed with the hotel.We will definitely come back to this Best Western hotel when we come back to Disneyland.

I'll try and keep this short. To be clear, the hotel was nice and clean, breakfast was good and they had a lot of options for that. It was quiet. I would have stayed there again if it wasn't for the night manager. I was offered a free night voucher for staying at a previous location. I was told to have the voucher faxed over upon check in. I checked in and said they needed to call customer service to have my voucher faxed over, the night manager said they already had faxed it and showed it to me. I thought everything was taken care of and I paid for my extra night. We left the next morning to our activities for the day and when we came back at 8:30 that night, we were tired and ready for bed and that's when we had a problem. Ultimately he made a mistake with my free night voucher, (apparently it wasn't the one they needed) he locked me and my family out of our room, didn't call me to tell me. I went down to tell them my key wasn't working and he said my voucher was invalid and I didn't have a free night because I didn't have enough points. My free night wasn't due to points, i had a free night due to a promotion. He made my brother and daughter hang out in the hall for an hour while me and my sister were trying to take care of the room with the night manager. He offered absolutely no resolution, he did not apologize, he made ME call customer service and I sat on hold for 15 minutes waiting to talk to a staff member that would actually help me. Every time I asked him a question the answer was "I don't know." I asked him why my voucher was invalid: "I don't know." I asked why Best Western would fax them an invalid voucher and his answer was "I don't know." He said there was nothing he could do, handed me customer services number and told me to figure it out. He was treating us as if we were lying. I called customer service and I did, in fact have a free night, the woman on the other end was very helpful, gave him the voucher number and it was resolved quickly once I got someone on the phone. This person could absolutely use some training in customer service and customer escalation. Its unacceptable that I had to call customer service myself to resolve this issue and received absolutely no apology. maybe I just have high expectations due to being in the customer service industry, management at that for over 10 years. I have honestly never had such a terrible customer service experience.

I don't usually do any reviews online, but I made a TripAdvisor account so people are aware of how unprofessional staff is. I stayed from January 3rd to 6th, 2020. I checked in on January 3rd around 6:32 am. Fortunately, there was a room available and we were given keys to Room 315. When we walked up the stairs, we noticed a 5'6- 5'7 guy wearing a grey zip up with a black beanie two doors from our room. He looked a little odd and was staring at us. He paced back and forth on the 3rd floor. We quickly went inside our room to take a nap. Around 10am, we heard loud knocks on our door. My partner looked through the peep hole and she said it was the same guy we saw. We didn't open and he knocked again! The knocks were loud and sounded as if it was an emergency. We ignored it again and couple of minutes later, he knocked again! We looked through the peep hole and there was no one there the third time. We were scared because what if we open the door and he barges in? I called front desk immediately. I gave details of the guy and she said maybe it might be security. I was confused because why would security knock that loud and the guy was not in uniform. She said she would call security and ask if they came upstairs to room 315. She put me on hold and it took awhile, so I called front desk again and Fernando from front desk answered. I told him my concerns and asked if we could switch rooms and he said no. He asked if we wanted the police to come and I said no because no one is getting hurt and we feel uncomfortable because the guy is probably hiding somewhere and he knows our exact room door. I wanted a switch of rooms so that he does not know where we are staying. Fernando said rudely "we are not switching rooms for that reason" I said why? He said "because we are fully booked". I asked him "what if the guy comes in and takes our stuff?" He said "why would he come in and take your stuff?" and I said "what if he barges in while we walk out. I feel uncomfortable". Even though Fernando was willing to call the cops for us, I was SO UPSET that he disregarded the safety of our lives. I don't think he understood that the guy is nowhere to be found at this point. We don't know which part of the hotel he is at. What if he is hiding? But what we do know is that he knows our room number. It is even more dangerous at night because what if he comes into our room out of nowhere when we didn't see him? It is our safety at this point. I cussed at Fernando and hung up. He called back and my partner answered. Fernando said "I'm calling the police. You're checking out". We told him go ahead and call the police. He told us to cancel through Expedia before 12 so we get a full refund. I have worked at a hotel for 7 years in San Francisco. Guest satisfaction is always a priority and Fernando was disrespectful and unprofessional. Who is he to kick us out of the hotel? This is how women go missing because of employees like Fernando who doesn't seem to care and believe us. We packed our things and went to the front desk where we did see Fernando and voiced our concerns. Michael, the accountant was able to talk to us and offered another room. We did not drive from San Francisco to LA to have these problems. We agreed to the room change. I thought Fernando told us the hotel was fully booked? How is Michael able to give us another room? That shows Fernando lied and disregarded our feelings and safety. We have stayed at Best Western Plus before and we chose to stay again because of the nice staff and stay. We are SO disappointed and will never stay here again. When we went upstairs with Michael to check out the other room we were switched to, the suspicious guy came downstairs to front desk. THEN Fernando seemed to "care" and got the guy's license plate. We were not lying and it felt like he took us seriously after he saw the guy, which is not okay. That is not how you treat guests to your hotel. I informed the general manager who also stated the hotel was fully booked over the weekend. That is a lie because you can't check someone in at 6:30 am if rooms were not available!!!! I know how these operations work so it's funny that he's trying to cover up for his employee especially when his own accountant told me directly there were multiple rooms available!!!!

Overall it was a good stay. A little disappointed in that other guests did not require their children to not run up an down the landing and they were not aware how much noise they were causing by heavy walking or jumping in the room above us.

My wife and I planned to stay here for 3 nights but bailed after 2. The bed was comfy but we had never been in a hotel room with zero carpets. Cold floors for December. Breakfast was my main beef. It's crowded with almost no place to sit. Lots of families on their way to Disneyland. At the front counter you are show a choice of four laminated cards. These are your breakfast choices. After you choose they punch your ticket and give you a number. You try to find a place to sit or get your coffee, milk or juice plus utensils. Finally they bring you your food. It comes on an 8" plate. Some eggs, hashed browns and bacon that tastes like WWII surplus. Day #2 the bad bacon had changed to a thin piece of ?ham? that would make Spam feel proud. The only thing you can serve yourself is some fruit that has been picked over my hundreds of kids. No seconds, you get what they give you. Eight inch plate! If you're a big eater and expected a big breakfast, I guarantee you still be hungry an hour after you leave here. The owner of this franchise has it down to a science and is making lots of money. Get the people in, feed them quickly and out the door. We won't be back.

Stayed here as we were flying out of SNA airport and we were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was one of the best "hotel" breakfasts I have ever had- eggs made to order! Very friendly staff and clean property.

When I first arrived at this property, it actually looked like it had new floors , and it appeared to be clean. The first night as I was sleeping I felt a bug crawl over my forehead. It was a roach. I killed the bug and hoped I would'nt see another. I left for work in the morning and when I came back in the evening I saw another roach, which I killed. After that I went to bed with the light on..... fell asleep ,woke up and saw another roach. This place had a breakfast bar, which i had eaten from the first day I was there, and the second day, I refused to eat there, as I believed there might be roaches in the kitchen area. I had originally planned to stay 3 nights, but checked out after the second night and I told the person at the front desk. I took a video of the roaches and showed the person at the front desk. I wouldn't recommend staying at this place unless you like bugs!

Happy helpful staff upon arrival and departure. Breakfast started on time and staff was attentive. I had one issue with A/C in room not working I called down and in less than 3 min staff was there to fix the issue. No issues with cleanliness or smell. It's a great place to stay.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, I was traveling alone and the Manager made me feel welcome and safe. The next day the breakfast was served quickly and hot (you pick the combination you want and the order is given to you). It was well made and the staff, once again, was great - big smile on their faces and prompt service. I wish all hotels were like this, it would make travel a pleasure.

I have stayed here many times over the past 5 years. The rooms have been updated with new flooring, HVAC units, beds, wall decor and soon will have new furniture. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Did not have a chance to try their breakfast during this stay but in the past it has been very generous.

Great price and neat many attractions. Was able to have a restful night wake up early and go for a job down the wide streets that are near hotel. Felt safe and the area was friendly. Check in and check out was quick. Rooms clean and water was hot :).

Overall, this was a good hotel stay. The beds were comfortable. It was quiet and the staff was friendly. The issues were one bed that was very squeaky and noisy. It needs a new mattress. The shampoo and conditioner were not good. The business center had the slowest computer in the world and it was annoying. The breakfast was pretty standard and they make you bring a stamp card to get food. There's easy access to the freeway, but there's no good food close by, just fast food.

Working spa and heated pool was great. The hot breakfast was incredible with many choices too. The rooms were clean and quiet. Everything was in working condition inside the room. Great to travel with kids.

We have probably stayed here 8 or 10 times over the past 10 years. Several things bring us back. The owners are constantly upgrading and/or maintaining the property. They care about their business and the customers. Two times ago, they were replacing the carpet in the rooms with laminate. This time they were repainting the parking lot. The rooms are adequate size (how long are you in a room) clean and well maintained. The grounds are well groomed and nice. The provided hot cooked to order breakfast is outstanding for a moderately price hotel. Believe me you won't find a better breakfast unless you stay at an Embassy Suites hotel.

As I entered the courtyard I eased into the comfort of an easily accessible parking space. The friendly welcome of the ‘desk clerk' who gave the impression that I was indeed a ‘friend' and had a right to be here, further solidified my comfort level. I was even offered the choice of floor/level. The room I chose was accelerated by the recognition of its cleanliness, space, privacy, amenities and cozy comfort. You see, to be in a place for the first time is scary enough. You made me feel like home away from home. Not forgetting, the evidence of security measures I could not ignore, video surveillance and security were all around. We were also educated on safety measures from information left in our rooms. And the parking options were endless. The swimming pool.. I loved the different levels of depth.. you catered for the swimmer and non swimmer. Great breakfast each morning as per my preference and buffet styled, as long as I arrive and leave within the allocated time.. awesome!! So, as I left your presence to return home.. I smiled.. you made my dream perfect!

I have been staying at this property for several months now as I frequently travel for business. During a recent stay, my corporate credit card was declined. My bank informed me that the card reader at the Best Western wasn't reading my card chip for some reason. They asked me that I have Best Western add it manually. Best Western informed me that they cannot add it manually and I was a bit taken a bit that they wouldn't be able to offer an alternative for a system glitch. I wonder what would happen if their system crashed altogether. I ended up checking out 3 days early and reserved another room at a different hotel with no problem.

Centrally located located to various activities. Staff is helpful and kind. The breakfast is good and freshly made to order. The grounds and buildings are clean and very well kept up. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable.

We have stayed at this Best Western probably 6-8 times. We return over and over because the hotel is close to our family, is the best of all the local hotels (we have stayed in most over the years), has the most caring staff and an amazing (cooked to order) breakfast. There is a lovely pool area and weather permitting is a great place to enjoy your breakfast! It is close to John Wayne Airport and has a shuttle bus, always on time! The staff recognizes us now and are so pleasant. Sorta like family?

Excellent location, very clean, nice staff, amazing rooms and just an awesome stay. When I travel back to the west coast, this location is definitely on my list of stays. Don't sleep on this one! It's worth it!

Hotel is very clean, maid service is excellent, breakfast provide is good and provides a good start to the day. The location is excellent for travel to all areas of Orange County. Very close to Anaheim, Angel Stadium and Newport Beach.

Good-sized rooms, it was great to see hardwood floors instead of carpet, much cleaner. Bathroom had a walk-in shower, good water pressure, with shower head high enough for my 6 foot 1 inch body. Cooked-to-order breakfast. Good location just of the 55, close to John Wayne Airport.

Very nice stay. Front staff very helpful. Bed was great, pillows were very much to my liking. Garbage could have been emptied every day, but seems to be on an every other day schedule. Freezer needs defrosting.

The title is correct, I have mixed feelings and thoughts. This motel has been here a long time. I remember being interviewed for a job at a local company in one of their conference rooms here some 35-40 years ago. Got the job so great feelings. This visit was to see our son who was in a hospital not far away. He is better now so more great feelings. However, right from our initial check in to our check out ALL interactions with the front desk left me with negative thoughts. It confuses me when management places people with non USA ethnicity and poor English comprehension at the very desk in which great communication skills are needed. They are the front line of customer interaction and most of the people I had to deal with failed miserably. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It had been obviously been remodeled to bring it up current expected standards. Suggest they figure out a way to service rooms quicker. We had a couple of occasions where after being gone for 8+ hours to the hospital our room was still not yet serviced upon our return. They have a system of preparing 4 set menus at breakfast that appear to change every other day or so. Nice touch, however the people preparing those breakfasts rush the cooking process to the point of having UNDERCOOKED eggs, bacon and potatoes 3 of the 5 breakfasts we had. Nice plan, poor execution in my opinion. Need to mention also that the breakfast room is small and crowded. There is overflow outside but still not enough seating in my opinion. Lastly, I need to also mention there are only 2 guest washers and 2 guest dryers for this VERY large motel. When inconsiderate guests leave their clothes unattended in the machines long after cycles have completed and the front desk refuses to intervene it can be difficult just to wash up a bit of underwear.

Very friendly staff. Rooms are large and comfortable. The location is perfect for the OC fair and beaches. Great restaurant style breakfast, eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns, watermelon, cantaloupe, apples. Comfortable and spacious rooms, nice pool.

I'm a Diamond Member, I visit MANY BW locations. This one is the worse of them all (even after giving a second chance visit). Go to Newport Mesa, Costa Mesa location - same price with MUCH better service, appearance, EVERYTHING. Also same distance from airport. I promise you'll thank me!

The rooms were newly renovated with no carpet - as we know carpet can get very gross. For this price point you get fresh made breakfast. The staff was very helpful as I was a last minute check in from a horrible experience at another hotel. Although I could not check in early, I was given towels and able to lay by the pool and use the internet. The rooms were not huge but I'm there to sleep and get a few extra hours of work in. It was clean, towels soft, bed comfortable - that's all I need.

Great hotel. Great price!. Great room/layout. Very thoughtful/useful/relaxing in design. I was very pleasantly surprised. It appears I need to make this review at least 200 characters (for some reason...) so I'm adding this...

For a 3-star hotel, this place is great. The hotel seems to be clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly. The rooms have laminate floors instead of carpet so you know what you are waling on is clean. The hotel was very quiet, though there were many guests based on the number of cars in the parking lot. With the great cook-to-order breakfast included, it makes this a good place to stay!

The is a beautiful hotel, with modern remodel and clean rooms. Rooms have small refrigerators and microwaves. The hotel wraps around the pool area. The breakfast was very good, with many choices including fresh fruit, waffles, yogurt, etc. and a choice of 4 menu choices of "made to order" breakfast. They offer a free shuttle to the airport (5 minute ride), though only runs once an hour on the hour. The shuttle driver was super helpful. Though I had requested a crib for my granddaughter, there were none available. Apparently it is "first come, first served" basis and we were just "out." We ended up putting one of the mattresses on the floor to accommodate a toddler. We were immediately not impressed with the two clerks at the desk (with no other patrons around to serve), as they watched us struggle to move the unwieldy cart with luggage without even offering to help. Later, when we went looking for milk for grand-daughter, they said there wasn't any, even in vending machines. My daughter-in-law found some in a vending machine. Shower head in the bathroom was not movable–and positioned too horizontally, so one would need to be pressed against back wall of shower to get anything below shoulders wet. Also, it pointed toward the curtain, so even with shower curtain closed properly, it created a lake on the bathroom floor.

I find this location the best as it is very close to the freeway at yet tucked away surrounded by enough other hotels that you do not hear the freeway. Try and get a room facing the swimming pool. The breakfast is ok. The coffee not so. The WiFi is good and has not let me down in my several stays here. Have not had the time to use the exercise room or the pool. so cannot give you much feedback there.

This property is older but well maintained. Everyone treated us well and the breakfast was excellent. I especially liked the made to order entrees and the friendly staff throughout the hotel. The airport is nearby but we didn't hear any noises during the night.

Great place to stay. Friendly people, comfortable clean rooms at an affordable price. Easy access with lots of parking. Staff makes it easy to check in and out. They serve a complete breakfast. A great way to start your day!

I've stayed at this Best Western before, and have noticed some changes since that last stay a couple of years ago. They changed the flooring in the room from carpet to tile. I'm sure it's easier to keep clean, but it makes it so that the beds move around at the slightest nudge, and isn't as comfortable to walk on in bare feet. Also, they got really weird about their pool towels. They used to let you get as many towels as you needed from the front desk, and then just put them in a bin near the pool. Now they keep track of exactly how many your room gets, and then they want you to take them back to your room. I thought this meant we would just use the same towels for our whole stay, but the maid removed half of our towels when making up the room, and I was hesitant to ask for more, since I didn't want to be questioned as to why I needed more. It made for an unnecessarily awkward experience.

Great experience, clean and roomy, well maintained, helpful staff, nice breakfast options in a comfortable relaxing room with very helpful staff. Property is well maintained, and very pleasant visually.

Stayed at the hotel to support an early morning flight, very convenient to get to the Orange County John Wayne Airport. Make a right out of the hotel continue to light, drive straight onto 55 and take the next exit to get to MacArthur and the airport. Asked for a ground floor room but would have had to wait an hour, so it was on me. Very nice shower water, best I've experienced at a hotel in a long time. Unfortunately we left too early to get the breakfast. Some little things were bothersome, such as only 1 trashcan in the room and the AC would not work (at least until I noticed it was unplugged). However, would definitely consider staying at this hotel again. There is a gas station on Dyer street near the light to fill your rental can, or get some snacks for the room.

I didnt even sleep at the hotel I was treatsd so poorly from Ben. He assumed I was going to take something and told me there are alot of expensive items and would need an additional hold on my Mastercard. I was incredibly offended and ended up sleeping somewhere else. I couldn't get a refund but did pay for a room I didn't spend the night in.

The front desk David and Tua go out of their way to assist you in anything you need. The kitchen staff both in front or in the back. But YES But there is a few things I should tell you about when you get toast with your order it is 3 pieces and it could be a heal of the bread. The coffees is very watery. Know to say that over all the people who take care of you are great, but management needs to step up mostly on the coffee. They should change out the 6 ounce cups for the Best Western cups and not use styrofoam cups and not use heals of bread. This is the first BW plus that I have ever gone to that has had this kind of review from me

Rooms ok and pretty clean. Breakfast was good and made to order (hot). Biggest gripe was being told there was a $100 extra charge that would be refunded but I was charged $200 and still has not been refunded

Super clean, great location, reasonable price, and most amazingly, breakfast cooked to order!! Honestly, we booked this hotel at the last minute because many others were fully booked. We thought we might just stay for one night (Sat.) and move to another nearby hotel brand that we have more trust in. Surprisingly, we were amazed by the overall quality of the place and the team and we ended up staying for the entire three nights. This experience really has lifted up our impression on Best Western. BTW, their breakfast was of restaurant quality, cooked to order, with a variety of choices on fruits, drinks and breads, all fresh and yummy!! We definitely would stay here again for our next trip in summer. By then, we probably can jump into their sparkling pool....

Pool was clean. breakfast was good. Friendly people, housekeeping was organized on daily basis, clean room, hi speed internet, big TV screen, comfortable beds. Room has a good size desk, powerful lighting features, bathroom was roomy and clean too

Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, the hotel its self is located in a nice clean area. Breakfast is made to order REAL EGGS! The staff is super nice and helpful : ) Took my family to Knotts Berry Farm and the only bad thing is the breakfast seating/buffet area is WAY to small.

The hotel lists an airport shuttle and a fitness center, which is why I booked it. The shuttle only runs from 6:00-11:00, so it is not available to anyone with an early flight. The fitness center is only open from 6:00-11:00, again unavailable to anyone needing to use it early. The staff was extremely unhelpful. Very unimpressed.

This is a good, safe place to stay. We use this hotel every time we come into California. The rooms are always clean and well taken care of. Location is close to the 55 Fwy and easy access to 405 Fwy.

I frequently travel to Irvine for business meetings. Finding a great value in a clean and sanitary hotel is extremely impute me. When it comes to the Best Western Sant Ana hotel it is very consistent. Great service. Clean room and bathrooms. Quiet night and good sleep. That's why I keep coming back.

Do not choose the room which facing the highway, it will be your nightmare. We barely can sleep during that night, so many trucks and make a loud noise. Also the room has order, not for sensitive people.

I am a rewards member for BW and have never had issues staying at one before, so I tend to always look for any BW in the area when looking for a hotel. We were going to disneyland and did not feel like playing 200+ a night just to be close to the park. This hotel was about 15-20 mins away and we ubered to the park with no problems. The price was such a good deal, I still couldnt believe we were able to have such great service at such a low price. Not only that, but the hotel was really nice and clean. Breakfast was good and the employees were all so friendly. I had a great experience and recommend this location to anyone and will be keeping this in mind the next time I need to make a trip down to disneyland or anything in the anaheim area.

Great stay and delicious free breakfast. The beds were comfortable. Large rooms with fridge and microwave. Free parking and nice pool/ spa area. Easy check in and check out. There was a nice outside area with tables to sit enjoy.

The shuttle van pick up from John Wayne airport was very prompt. The room was very clean and seemed to be well maintained. It was pleasantly quiet except for the morning drone of what appeared to be a large A/C unit or exhaust fan. The hot breakfast in the morning was very good, fast and hot. It was in easy walking distance to Spoons, a nearby Mexican sports bar.

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel for our Disneyland trip. Our room is nicely decorated and newly renovated. The room is very clean and beds are very comfortable. Staff is wonderful. Breakfast is excellent. Service is fast. I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Next time we come back to Disneyland, we will definitely stay in this hotel.

I had a very rough day - needed a place to regroup and recover. Best Western is my retreat every time.Excellent service upon arrival to exit. I highly recommend this location here in Santa Ana. Looking forward to my next stay!!!

We have stayed here once or twice for several years. Each stay was multiple nights. Caring staff and great breakfast. Convenient location with easy access to the 55 freeway. Many excellent restaurants and other stores are nearby.

Rooms were clean and service was friendly. Good prices for the rooms compared to other similar level hotels in the area. The breakfast was quite good. The lady there taking the orders for breakfast is very polite.It was quiet during our stay so we weren't bothered by excessive noise. The hotel is close to our family's place so it's convenient

Location is great for access to the airport. Need a car as there is not much else in the area. Hotel was quiet, clean and more than fair with the price per night. No issues at all and would stay here again if in the area.

Normally start with the drive up to Hotel. Have to mention breakfast has real eggs. Yes real eggs not powder like most Best Westerns. You order and they bring it to your table. Now back to parking. It is free. Lobby was warm and friendly. Desk staff was not so inviting. I am Diamond member but still had to give 100 dollar deposit. Luggage cart had hard wheels, so no flats. Elevator has 3 floors and we were on 2. Room has lots of space even with king bed. Little couch and two luggage racks. Mine and hers. Shower nice and roomy. Refrigerate is mid size. Microwave and coffee. No TV getaway, so no help on that one. Pool outdoors. Headed to Knotts Berry Farm, next. Navigation says 20 minutes. Loved our brief 8 hours here. Work ran late Saturday.

Stayed here in past so I decided to go with them again , always a nice experience, just wish they had the buffet style breakfast like there other locations. Great staff no hesitation to offer me late check out free of charge.

Unfortunately, one of the bad hotels I ever booked. The front desk staff are very bad and they don't ever respect their customers. It is like the hotel give the front desk job to any one from the street!! In addition, the hotel is not clean, and the staff are not helpful at all and have a bad attitude. Honestly, this is a half star hotel which worth $20 a night. I will never stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is very close to the John Wayne Airport, the 405, and the pacific coast highway, and Disneyland. it is on a strip of nothing but hotels, and is the most reasonable one on the strip. Breakfast is a step above the usual buffet. The hotel itself is industry standard, but unless you plan to do nothing but camp out at the hotel, it is perfect. Only drawback - the provided bathroom toiletries don't include lotion.

We stayed in room 101 nice looking room Great girl who serviced room. Door does not close completely without pushing bottom with foot, bed squeaks and be sure to tell your customers when you give them a breakfast voucher that if your husband accidently leaves it on the table in the dining room it will cost you 14.00 a day to replace it. Not that you did not already pay 450.00 to stay there. Pool is heated and very nice. grounds are well kept. Young lady that took care of the room was wonderful.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, because the location is so convenient. This has actually become a place that my family and I regularly stay, we have even planned trips around availability at this hotel. The rooms are always clean, the staff is friendly, the pool is located right in the center of the hotel and the staff does a nice job making sure the quiet hours are obeyed by pool users so that guests are not kept awake, I've never had a problem with pool noise. Their complimentary breakfast is by far the best I've ever had at any hotel, and they provide a nice breakfast area that feels less generic than most hotels of the same level.

The pillows are awful. They are like throw pillows for a coach but in pillow cases. The first night I did not have a good sleep because of this. The Front desk said they had no other pillows to offer but they seem to know right away what I was talking about (I assumed it was not the first time someone complained about this issue). So I bought my own pillow. Other than that the hotel was OK.

The staff was friendly and skilled - attended promptly to any and all of our requests. The facility was clean and staff; very up-to-date.The breakfast room and outer area were nice, and the breakfast choices (option of 3 types, with other morning food items available) was hearty and delicious.

The Best Western Plus Orange County Airport North, is a quality hotel, with excellent service and very clean and updated rooms. Highly recommend staying at this location for a great experience. The breakfast has a very good selection and quick service. Also a good selection of self serve food and drinks. Their shuttle service is very prompt and very nice shuttle divers. The check in service is excellent.

We have reviewed this property in the past and had occasion to stay there again. A lot has changed since we were there last, before our retirement, three years ago. The lobby, rooms, furnishings, flooring, window treatments etc. have all been updated. A lot can be said about a hotel whose staff remains the same-e.g. the front desk has had the same outstanding staff in the over 15 years we stayed there, twice monthly. The room is always quiet, clean, comfortable and has all the amenities of home. The breakfast is always hot and cooked to order. Service is always helpful and friendly. We have stayed in luxury hotels all over the world, and although this is a mid-range hotel, it rivals luxury hotels in attitude and comfort. We have, from time to time, stay at Best Westerns elsewhere in the U.S. and each time, we left comments to Best Western corporate that they should use this property as a model for emulation.

Place is really nice. Staff very kind and professional. Very clean. Sitting in a very nice area and only like 15 minutes away from Disney. If ever decide to come definitely will make my stop atbthis Inn.

We stayed for 11 nights as part of a sports team and was fully accommodated by Huy and his team. They went out of there way to make us feel comfortable. Self coin operated laundry, free parking and breakfast included made this stay memorable for the team. The rooms are serviced daily with good showers over a bath and very clean. The pool and spa were well ultilised. Thanks again for the amazing stay

If you need an overnight adjacent to SNA (Santa Ana, Orange County/John Wayne Airport) and if the price is right, book here. The draw on airport hotels is location and therefore not particularly unique. What you're likely looking for is a good clean room, reasonable price, and if possible a nice breakfast included. This BW Plus has all that including made to order eggs for breakfast ??. And if you need it, a ride on the hour to the airport. Yes, there's a nice pool and courtyard area.

When we come to Orange County, we always stay at this hotel. Great location, good value, friendly staff. Carpets in rooms replaced with wide-plank vinyl flooring; clean! We always get a room on the third level at the rear of the hotel. Quiet and comfortable.

The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. The Rooms were nice but the TV remote did not work. The best part is the cooked to order breakfast. Ham an scrambled eggs with hash browns, very good. I'll be back.

Kindly do not select this hotel for your stay. Management is notorious, will surely accuse you of breaking something in the room and forcibly charge you thousands of dollars. Please please stay away and never ever stay here

We needed a room last minute for a birthday party that turned out going longer than expected and on short notice this turned out to be an all right pick. The room itself was a standard Best Western... not bad, but not great. Everything worked and was clean. The one thing that stood out over other Best Westerns was that they had a "cook to order" breakfast where you could choose three options from a menu and they actually gave you a number and brought it to your table when it was done. We would stay here again, but not go out of the way to do so.

Counter staff is very helpful. The hotel has convenient location and adequate amenities. I like the breakfast. The comfort of the bed may be improved, however. It generally offers a good value to your money.

Checkin wasn't the best however breakfast made up for it. Good location with bunch of hotels around. Rooms were fine however I have had better Best western experiences. I wish I had some more time around

This Hotel was booked for my by our travel agent as it was close to the airport and I did not have a car for the night before my flight the next morning at 8:05AM. I needed airport transportation in the early morning on 11-2-17. I checked out at approximately 2 hours before my flight or around 5:37 am that morning and handed my only card key to the person at the check in counter of the hotel. The time was clearly marked on my check out receipt that I checked out at 5:37am. The bill on the receipt was for the amount of $114.87 for the night with taxes. At the time, all seemed fine as I made my way to the airport. It was only after a couple of weeks went by that I was notified by accounting that my receipt was different than the actual billing to my credit card by exactly $300. The bill I thought had to by a typo since the new bill of $414.87 was exactly $300 more. It had to be a typo on the credit card billing machine at the front desk I thought. After calling the front desk trying to inquire about the mistake in billing, I was told by the manager (Lets just call him David) that the additional billing was correct and that I had been charged for smoking in the room. Since I am highly allergic to cigarette smoke, this was an absurd claim! I said there must be some mistake as I have never smoked in my life! He then said that someone in housekeeping caught me red handed in my room smoking in that room at 1pm on my check out day of November 2 2017. I told him that could not be correct because I had checked out that morning at 5:37am and could prove that I was at the Denver Airport at the time that his claim of Housekeeping catching me smoking occurred.... Then David's story accusation changed to "Well it was your roommate then!" I had no roommate as I was on a business trip and my company books only 1 person to 1 room! Well, at this point, it was fruitless to argue with this fraudulent person. I went onto trip advisor and found that this had happened to another person who had stayed at this hotel as well at least once so I could see a pattern here with smoking accusations as well as billing for days folks had not stayed there. I collected all the data and disputed the charges and we were finally refunded the over charges after 3 months from the credit card company. I would never recommend staying here to anyone. If you do so, you may be putting yourself at risk. Check your credit billings and make sure they are the same amount as your receipts if you are forced in staying here.... I don't write up very many bad experiences but when I see fraud and deceit, I feel I should warn other people of my experience.

This hotel was a delight. The grounds are lovely, the rooms clean and fresh and modern and the cook to order breakfast wonderful. Beds were comfortable, too, and the room rate was amazing considering it was greater L.A.

The best hotel. Every single time I come to Cali this is my go to hotel without hesitation. The staff is great. The breakfast is great. The rooms are so nice and bed is comfy. The small weight room is a small weight room but it does the job of staying in shape while on your trip.

1 minute to freeway 55, and 17 minutes to Little Saigon town. Love breakfast with many choices, and great service. Ample parking space. Without the noisy of air condition unit then I should able to give 5 stars.

This is a good choice for the price.. fast checkin/checkout, free parking, free hot breakfast, free shuttle to/from airport (10-15 wait), fridge and microwave in all rooms.. what more could you want! Pillows are really small, and housekeeping doesn't clean the rooms daily (not sure if you have to tell them too). Stayed in room 326, same bldg as main lobby so it was convenient. It can get a bit noisy (i could hear kids/adults yelling something about breakfast from inside my room). Need more seating in breakfast area. About 20-25min to Laguna Beach. Otherwise i liked this place, good value.

Stayed here with my bf for the weekend. Checked in around 9pm. Fast and easy check in. Around 1am i needed to pick up my bf at the airport. When we arrived at 1 45am we had 6 luggages, and in the 3rd floor. We thought it was gonna take us a long time to settle in. But at night they have security. And Fernando (if i remember correctly) help us with all the luggages. We really appropriate it after a long flight. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, thanks to the entire staff for making it pleasurable.

I have been coming here for years and the rooms are always clean, the staff is awesome and the rate is always reasonable! Thank you Best Western for always taking such gapped care of me when I am in town. Cheers, Pat

my experience is terrible especially at this best western I'm receiving complaints just for walking around my own room, the hotel staff like to grip about it as well, this has gone on for the better part of a week and the fact the people below me can here my feet hit the floor is their own problem not mine, I'm going to recommend the same thing to everyone I meet, never use a best western hotel ever again, especially this one. I am also calling my place of work and telling them about this experience as well so they never make the mistake of putting any of their employees in this awful experience ever again regardless of state.

Neither the ceilings nor the doors and walls are insulated. We constantly heard every footfall of the people in the room above us and I could hear word for word conversations of the people in the room next to us, plus their baby screaming off and on in the night and morning. What they call a “desk” is barely wider then a single chair so do not plan to do any work in these rooms. Not to be a downer, if you are a family and/or don't mind noise, the beds were moderately comfortable so if you are a family with children this probably would be a good place for you. The room was clean, and when the Kleenex ran out after only a few Kleenex, they were quick to bring me more. Quick freeway access and central OC location in a decent part of town. Could be closer to a Starbucks, but that's just me.

Everything about this place was fabulous. Centrally located to everything in Orange County. Service was exceptional. The room was remodeled and everything looks sparkling new. Full hot breakfast was delightful. I can't say enough about the service here. They took care of everything. This hotel is located approximately in the center of Orange County, a good choice if you are planning to visit several parts of the county. The room was clean and it looked like some thought had gone into making it easy to thoroughly clean: hardwood floors, stone tabletops, clean remote. The rooms have limited soundproofing so other guests can be noisy.

rushed feeling. Arrived at night late. Needed to slepp in. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning but it was over at (:30 am. No food left out. Maid came early and knocked on door looking like why aren't we out yet. Manager at front desk upon check out couldn't care less about our experience. Never even responded to my issues.

Our usual Best Western quality of care was sadly lacking in this location. At checkin the floors were not properly clean; despite daily maid service, they remained so over the next two days. I literally had to gather the garbage into plain site for it to be taken out. At checkin I found the air-conditioning unit disconnected. The service man told me that they often turn units off in unoccupied rooms. One bedspread had an obvious stain on the cover. The beds, though freshly made up the next day, still carried the stain. And again the following day. I wrote the manager upon checkout and got an auto-response thanking me for the survey; zero comment on my listed shortcomings. It was a strange experience as we've always enjoyed BW in the past.

The hotel is clean and the staff seemed to be friendly but the best part is the hot breakfast that comes free with your stay. They have certain 4 different options to choose from each morning that you order and they prepare and bring to your table. Besides this, they also have the bagel, cereal and juice like other hotels.

We picked this hotel for a Disneyland Stay. It was conveniently located right off the freeway and we could jump in the carpool lanes on all freeways and get to Disneyland in about 15 minutes. The weekend we picked was a busy one, so everything closer to the park was at least $200 a night. This one was closer to $100 a night and for the short drive, it made a lot more sense to do this, than to spend an extra few hundred that we could put towards food and souvenirs. The front desk staff was super helpful when we checked in. Quick and efficient and gave us great directions and advise on the carpool lanes to make our drive each morning to the parks super easy. My husband had the breakfast only one day at the hotel and said it was your typical crappy hotel breakfast so we ended up eating elsewhere the other days we were there. So I wouldn't factor that into the value of the hotel since we still ended up going off site for breakfast 2 of the 3 days we were there. We had an issue with the sink when we got up the first morning but my husband told the front desk and they had it fixed by the time we got back to the hotel that night. Our only real "complaint" was the lack of electrical outlets in the room that were convenient to get to. To plug in our phones and camera batteries we had to either use the bathroom plugs or hunt behind furniture to find them. We usually plug them in on our nightstands, but there were no additional plugs or USBs on my husband's side and there was not even an outlet on my side of the bed to plug the bedside lamp in. It's probably an older property and this is the reason, but that was a little inconvenient.

Nice hotel, clean and friendly. Walking distance to a nearby restaurant, though it wasn't the greatest. A bit noisy on the inside courtyard rooms near the pool. I recommend an outer room. Minor issue with the air conditioner, but otherwise OK.

Good value for the location. Good breakfast, nice friendly staff. Clean rooms, nice pool and outdoor seating area. Easy access to multiple highways and airports. Quick drive to the beach, Disneyland, etc.

Room is a bit small but bathroom is larger size than average. Water at sink in bathroom has no pressure, take forever to fill up a cup. Room is clean. Pool is large, but water is a bit cold, even it says heated pool on a windy day. It has fridge and microwave. There are plenty of parking. It is more like a motel or inn than hotel set up. It call BW PLUS, but more like a regular BW.

I am a Quality Control Consultant and have stayed here many times on business trips and always come back because of the location, friendly staff, comfortable beds, amenities such as the coffee maker, microwave, fridge, large screen TV, free parking, nice pool area etc etc. The staff are great and will always accommodate requests where possible, for me 3rd floor Quiet room.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now and I truly enjoy it. The front desk people are very friendly and responsive to requests, the room is comfortable and nice and the breakfast is made to order. No complaints.

Nice hotel with a great breakfast. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. All of the employees cheerful and helpful. Having traveled alone, I felt very secure at the hotel. I appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport, which made it easy to get a rental car outside of the airport, saving me money.

SHADY!!! Charge me upfront for three nights and they told my employees at check in that only two were paid, I confronted the receptionist/Huy, he told me my employees stayed three nights, which is not true because my employees were back home a day early based on the info given by the receptions at check in. I requested a refund for the third night and they denied giving wrong info. although the third night was already charge I believe they re-rented the room the third night to someone else because the house keeper swears the room was used a third night.....not by my employees, my employees were back home a day early.

The hotel was really clean, breakfast was good, everyone was really nice and courteous, was really worth it for the money I paid to stay there, I will definitely stay again. No issues at all. Family friendly, quiet, good area. Overall I was really satisfied with this hotel.

Decent price and clean rooms. Staff are helpful. Breakfast was meh. Pool area was nice. Liked the Pantene products. The breakfast room was difficult to navigate the way it was laid out but it is a small space.

Great hotel but much needed updates need to take place to put this location to a 8 or 9 on a ten scale. The bathrooms (stuck in the 1990's) are in desperate needed of serious cleaning. Small spots of mold can be found in room 324. And the towels, time to throw out ones that are completely worn out. We stayed over four days and came across several towels that needed to be throw out.

Reception - Nice & Pleasant people Room - No carpet Bed - has wheels, be careful sitting on the bed with back support on the wall while watching tv. The bed may move :)) Letting know the hotel upfront of number of guest in the room has no difference on amenities like coffee, which is for only one person. This time and in past.

This has been the most pleasant hotel experience I've ever had without exception. The staff, the rooms, the lush property, the surrounding view, and full complimentary breakfasts were above and beyond expectation. I will truly miss it, but I'm moving to a new area. Will recommend it highly and look forward to visiting again when back in the area.

There are often misunderstandings. But when a misunderstanding occurs I am disappointed when the manager of the hotel and the customer care representative are dismissive, defensive and rude. This was the case when I thought I had canceled two rooms. But in fact they were never canceled. Unless the Best Western is the only option in a town. I will never stay at a Best Western again because of Huy, the manager of the Best Western OC Airport and of the dismissive, rude and defensive attitude of the corporate Customer Care staff.

We use to stay at this hotel, we were thinking that it was one of the best value on the area, but we tried another in lake forest, then: - rooms are small (you sleep between the noisy fridge and the AC machine) - the breakfast is only one plate per person In the mean time, the good point of this hotel are: - good location to go to the beach in 20 Minutes - nice pool area, beautiful - wifi works perfectly - No issue to Park

Hotel has not been updated with such things as short toilets, cramped rooms, too few plug-ins for electronics. The hotel has easy access to the John Wayne Airport with shuttle service. The hotel is close to all Newport Beach activities and shopping. The short order breakfast service is likely the best in the chain. This is a good self-service hotel in a key area.

Clean and comfortable at a good price. The breakfast area was very busy and a bit chaotic. Was visiting Disneyland and the Uber ride wasn't that bad. Might have been the reason why the free breakfast was pack. Overall a good stay.

I had a good experience with my family, being close to so many museums, the beach and malls. Having breakfast and meetings others guest in the pool .I was lucky my parking spot right in front of my room.

I have stayed at this Best Western for over 25 years. They have always been extremely kind, nice, and helpful. Over the years they have made excellent changes to the rooms; I enjoy every new change. Lots of the staff stays on over the years; don't leave a great job. Whether I am there on business, or alone, or with family it is the best in the area.

Spend several days at this hotel. Room was clean and nice. Huge free parking space which is nice because most hotel in California will charge you for parking. Nice swimming pool with hot spa. Breakfast was good and different. Most hotel they do buffet style, but this one they have four different set of menu you chose daily, with extra cereal, muffin or toast if you are still hungry. Which is nice

At first glance the outside property looks nice but the rooms are dated and not in good condition. Sofa is very old, armrests are oily and smells. Same goes for a chair in the room. I should have taken photos. Rips in wallpaper with some hokey repair. No toilet paper - started with a 1/4 roll then ran out, no back up rolls. Upholstery just seemed old, not clean and smells like old socks. Hot, Cold water reversed in sink. Hot Breakfast was limited to 3 items and they started to close up dining room before 9:30am dining time. We have stayed here many years ago and it just feels like no cleaning was done since we were last here and owners really trying to cut costs. Limited parking. I would recommend Hampton Inn or other hotels on the same street.

While this is a bit away from the beaches (10 minutes), it is easy to get to and from. It is a short drive to The District for great restaurants and shopping. The front desk help was friendly and the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was great as well.

I arrive late on Friday night and had to walk by loud, shady looking groups in the parking lot. By the time I went to bed, I discovered the bedspring/mattress was broken and caved in on one side. By that time, just slept on opposite side and vowed not to return. The cheap, tile floor felt gritty...appearance from outside looks fine...inside my room conformed to low, no pride standards.

It is located on concentrated area of hotels, BW plus is one of them. Parking was limited to size of the hotel property. Breakfast was not the usual buffet type as i recall with other BW hotel, now they turn into a packet of menu that limits the serving to one set of food per person.

Close to where I had business At . Easy to get to just off the 55 freeway. Room's were clean and comfortable. Had a nice hot breakfast better than most other motels had a choice of scramble eggs or fried for a change. Nice clean grounds with pool & Hot Tub quite enjoyable.

This hotel is located right off the 55 freeway and the Dyer exit. There was plenty of parking. The front desk staff were quick, friendly and efficient at check-in. The room was very quiet and comfortable. It was clean and inviting. The bathroom was an okay size with a nice hot and multi adjusting shower head. The bed was super comfortable. There was a very nice sized work space, a fridge and Microwave. The hotel has a coin Laundry, The swimming pool is in a very nice setting with many sun lounges, tables and chairs and there is a spa as well. Hot breakfast is with a coupon and is very good except the coffee is barely dirty water and tastes horrid! Wi-Fi worked well. There is an elevator (hotel has 3 floors) There is a shuttle van to the airport.

Nice place, close to freeway which place all the entertainment spots with 15 to 20 minutes: beaches, Disney, Knotts, shopping. If you are not looking for a full-service hotel, this is a good place to drop your bags while you go out and play tourist.

My family recently stayed here for an entire week. This hotel was the perfect location for visiting our family in Costa Mesa. Even with rush hour traffic on 55 and 405, we were never more than 20-30 minutes from the other places we visited in Orange County (Irvine Regional Park, Huntington Beach, and the Newport Back Bay). The hotel was clean and the grounds were well kept. All of the staff were polite and excelled at treating the guests well. I could tell the owner/operators held them to high standards. The noise level from the room next door and upstairs was much less than what I'm used to from this kind of building, even with tile floors. We were pleased with the hot and cold breakfast options and none of us left hungry. I appreciated that the hot options changed daily with cooked to order eggs as the mainstay. We'll be staying here the next time we're in OC.

We stayed several nights while visiting friends nearby. Good value. Room very clean, and friendly. helpful staff. It was very busy while there, and parking was limited when we got in after 11 one night. However, the night manager took care of us.

Having family in the area this is the main hotel we stay at when visiting the area. 1st the title "Airport Motel" is a bit misleading. This one is located near the airport but far enough away as not to be annoyed by the flights in and out. You can and do see the planes landing but its more entertaining then anything. Rooms are always clean and bright. The motel features an actual cooked breakfast every morning with a choice of 3 or 4 offerings per day with the price of the room. The kitchen/breakfast staff, I cannot say enough good things about them! Always pleasant and helpful they really add to this establishment. The pool and hot tub are 100% clean and worth a swim or bubble at night. The desk staff is also 100% on the mark helpful. If you need a nice place to stay near the airport I could not recommend a better stop.

Over the past 5+ years we have stayed here 5 or 6 times. Clean rooms, great staff, great breakfast and when you consider the cost of breakfast, you can not beat the price/value for the location. Highly recommended. We would not return if it was not good. It is not a "5 Star" hotel, but if you are looking for a good clean room to spend the night and to have a good hot breakfast (not a continental) you an not go wrong with this location. Stayed here many times for business.Check in is always quick. I stayed so much one year they knew me when I walked thru the door. Always very courteous. This is one of my favorite Best Westerns, and I've stayed at quite a few. Rooms are nicely decorated. Love that I get a fridge and microwave to save on going out to eat all the time. Never had a noise disturbance. Parking is all around so you can usually find a spot close to the room. They have always been good when I ask for a room in a specific location. Breakfast room is large so never too crowded. Good size desk for working. Nice pool if you are just vacationing.

Great location. Great facility. It is very central to lots of shopping and dining. John Wayne airport within minutes of facility. Rooms are nicely appointed and clean. I would highly recommend. Professional staff.

Our first room had a condem hanging from the ceiling and gross tissue plugged in the peep hole and other disgusting things. No idea how house cleaning missed it. Should have left after that. Second room had dirty sheets, but we were too tired to go back to the front desk and have to move all out stuff again. Usually when I have had issues with rooms I at least get an offer to help move rooms but not here. No upgrade either. It was very disgusting and not the best memory. The shuttle only goes every hour and be prepared for a ride cause although nice, the driver was terrible at actually driving. Be prepared for no sleep. The walls are paper thin and the beds are terribly lumpy. At 10:30 pm it was still really loud. We swore we thought we heard gun shots twice. Woke up before 6 to employees hosing the parking lot. Could that have waited till a little later? Also, which wasn't the hotels fault, but had a rude man harassing us for parking our small car next to his truck. I thought that was what parking places were for. And considering the parking lot had cones and blocked off spaces due to some sort of construction we didn't have many options of places to park. Breakfast was just ok. The room is so crowded. Hard to find somewhere to sit. When we tried to call the front desk to check out from our room we realized our phone did not work. I can honestly say I didnt feel safe here. I grew up near the area so I knew Santa Ana wasn't the best place but being so close to the airport I thought it would be ok. Pay a little extra and stay somewhere else. Will not return. I am really surprised at the good reviews. I usually don't write reviews this bad but this place was terrible. We checked out after our first night and finished our stay somewhere else. When I told him we were leaving because we had a bad experience here he didn't ask why or anything. How can you fix problems if you don't know what they are?

This is our 5th stay at this location. Their lodging is usually the lowest on this street. We really like their breakfasts where you choose among 4 main options consisting of eggs, meat and toast, waffles or hash browns. 2-3 fruit selections and the usual beverages. No oatmeal or yogurt though.

Room was not held as promised at attempted early check in. Front desk attendants were surly and not helpful. Bedding was unpleasant. Direction to room was poor. Room was clean. Breakfast was just barely ok.

I love this place, I am weekly traveler and I stayed at this place last 5 years. I like the location, rate, staff and rooms. People are friendly and they always try to provide for me optimal offer for my commuting situation. I'll continue to use this specific hotel and I would always recommend it to others.

A good hotel offers value to my money. It is at a very convenient location. It has a quick access to freeway that leads to numerous amenities in the surrounding neighborhood, the Orange County Airport, and UC Irvine. I have stayed for numerous nights at this Best Western Hotel since 2002. The breakfast offers good quality and quantity of food and is fulfilling.

Terrible breakfast food, I had to stop eating and have breakfast - on my dime - somewhere else. Good location, and staff was good. But room was noisy in general, and cable TV wasn't working properly. The overall experience showed that this room - priced at over $100 - is not worth the cost. I will book somewhere else in the future, and would not return to this location for sure.

The hotel grounds were very nice. Hotel check in was a breeze and the front staff very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean, good sized as well and was nice. However, there were people outside all hours of the night shouting and yelling that kept us awake. This is a motel style so your rooms are exposed and outside. Clearly this property has zero security to allow people to party in the parking lot disrupting guests trying to sleep. Keep this in mind if you're looking to stay here.

This Hotel was good for the one night we stayed. We ran the marathon in the morning and cane back and showered after. Staff was nice. Hotel was clean and beds comfy. If you expect a high dollar hotel look somewhere else, however this hotel was very updated and good for the price!

Rooms are big lots of space, very clean. The pool was nice also very clean. Complimentary breakfast always a plus and it taste pretty decent. Great location lots to do! Wifi works good! 3rd floor rooms recommended no noise. Plenty of parking. Great price for long term stay. Nothing bad to say about this place.

We loved this Best Western Plus hotel! Our family highly recommends it! The breakfast was delicious with many options like waffles, eggs, hash browns, bacon, cereals, and even sliced fresh fruit. The rooms were nicely renovated and clean with a huge fridge, microwave, closet and television. The pool and jacuzzi were big with Beautiful landscaping. The hotel was quiet and we will plan on staying there again in the future. :)

-0 I cannot even fathom giving this hotel one star. I have stayed here continuously for the past years since I do travel a lot for my job. I am in town for a tradeshow and I decided to stay here as I always do. On my way up the stairs returning from grabbing a bite (I'm staying on the 2nd level) near the back end of the hotel where there is obvious construction and yellow tape surrounding the premise. I hear this loud commotion coming from downstairs, I quickly look down and there is this young woman in her car, she seems as tho she is on her phone, and I hear loud yelling coming from what seems is an Asian woman in a red vest yelling at this lady in her car. she is yelling "what is your room number!!?? Are you staying here??? "you cant park here" !!! this Asian woman then gets in the young womans face and continues to yell "WHAT IS YOUR ROOM #??" the young lady in the car seemed frightened that this woman was yelling at her and harassing her. this Asian woman after yelling at this poor girl then comes back with what seems as a maintenance man he was dressed in grey, to come berate and further harass this young woman In her car. he came to her car window I don't know what he said I couldn't hear, but I was on edge I thought this Asian woman and this guy would possibly assault this woman. couple seconds later this young woman drives off. I was confused as to why these workers would be harassing this young lady that was just sitting quietly in her vehicle. As I am walking back to my room I encounter a housekeeper who I asked who this Asian woman was and she confirmed to my disbelief it was the owner! WOW I would never have imagined the owner to be this nasty clearly racist woman who berated this young woman in her car. I will never again be staying at this hotel!!! and I will tell all my young colleagues to stay away from booking at this hotel!!!!! Clearly the owner is an unstable, unprofessional woman who harasses women in front of her very own customers. I would hate to be in my car and this happens to me. The owner should be ashamed.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was no parking in the parking lot. 5 spaces were blocked off for "construction" but during our 2 night stay the construction workers parked in spots that were not blocked off for them. We asked the desk clerk if we could park in the spots and move our vehicle before the construction workers arrived in the morning, and they told us no. We asked them to call the manager, because they were giving construction workers priority over their paying guests, and the manager told the clerk to tell us that he would speak to us between the hours of 9am and 5pm, and we'd have to wait until then. He wasn't willing to help or to even speak to us. They had construction materials piled up on 2 designated handicapped spaces, making them unusable. We ended up having to park in a business park, and one of us slept in the vehicle to make sure the valuables we had in it remained secure. Management was unwilling to work with us and told us it was not their problem. Those who parked in the spaced with cones in them (for the construction crew that didn't use them) got towed, and the construction crew didn't even end up using the spaces. So disappointed. I've never had such a poor experience with Best Western before.

I had a great experience at this Best Western, needed a quiet comfortable room with good Internet and a good breakfast and all my needs were met, rest assured you won't be disappointed if you stay here.

Excellent service and clean rooms. Really pretty grounds and the breakfast is cooked to order! That really impressed me. Not a huge selection, changed everyday, but the idea that the eggs were real eggs and not those powdered eggs was fantastic. I never eat eggs at hotels because they are not fresh eggs. The coffee here was some of the best coffee I have ever had at a hotel, outstanding.

The Airport North Best Western offers clean comfortable rooms at a great price. The staff is always friendly and helpful making each stay a pleasant and rewarding experience. A hardy breakfast is served each morning. A great and convenient way for guests to start their day. We visit Orange county many many times each year and always stay at the Orange County Airport North Best Western. You should give it a try!

This was a time to visit with family and friends, we chose the location to be central to those we visited. The only. Issues were that breakfast was crowded and ended a little too early. It was nice and quiet.

as a loyal BW traveler I must point out this property as somewhat bizzarre. My check-in experience was unsavory as the staff was rude and unprofessional, the next morning the breakfast experience was surreal, having to choose from three pre-packed plates of slightly different hot food items...as a result I monikered it the "Pyongyang Cafe"....enjoy your stay comrades!

This Best Western is located on the same block with several other mid-range price hotels, and is very convenient to the Dehli Center where I teach. I think the number of surrounding hotels help to keep the price down to a more reasonable level for Orange County. The hotel is not directly adjacent to the highway which meets my criteria of being quiet enough for my afternoon nap. The breakfast was made to order which was very nice. I may stay at the Hampton next door next time depending on price variation but this time, when I checked the Hampton it was $50 higher and though a nicer hotel, this Best Western is certainly adequate. I will stay here again if there is still a large price variance.

This fairly new hotel is conveniently located near the John Wayne Airport in with a collection of other mid-range hotels but this one is more reasonably priced. The people were friendly and helpful and the room was neat and clean. Breakfast was cooked to order and included in the price of the room making this a good deal. In addition to the standard cold items you could order eggs cooked as you like them along with meat (varies with the day) hash browns and toast or other form of bread. There were also waffles and pancakes available. Not bad for a mid-range hotel!

I have been a travelling Engineer for nearly 20 years, a fair share of my time is spent in hotels. I have frequented the Best Western Plus Orange County Airport North for the last 8 years. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast (real eggs and fresh fruit!) keep me coming back.

The price is right, location is good. Although this hotel has exterior entrances to the room which I normally don't like, this time it was great because the window opened all the way allowing that fabulous California breeze in. The outdoor pool and lounge chairs were great. Breakfast was fantastic! Housekeeping very efficient. Air conditioner was annoying. Would definitely stay again.

Decent hotel in good condition and kept up pretty well. Bathroom was newly remodeled and in good working condition. That was comfortable though the pillows were a little bit too firm. The hot breakfast is a nice touch, but they don't have many healthy options.

My corporate offices would rather I stay at the very expensive hotel they have a program with but I much prefer this one for comfort, great room setup, freindly staff and value. I spend half as much and more comfortable. I love the full working desk, office chair and fridge/microwave setup. In the spring I can open the windows and door to enjoy fresh air. The air conditioning is the quietest I've ever experienced with a "sleep mode" that keeps it from waking you up every 10 minutes!

It was a very nice location, the service was great, the rooms were decent, good breakfast, helpful and courteous staff. I don't have any complaints. The grounds are well kept and everything was very clean!

I was pleasantly surprised when i crossed the road to stay at this hotel as the other one was a roach motel and I was prepared for the same here, but no. This Best Western Plus was very clean, the front counter guys were very nice, the room was squared away and all the appliances worked. Even their breakfast was a nice surprise as you could get eggs fixed fresh and a number of ways. Across the road you had to fight the cockroaches for table scraps at breakfast! The only thing that I think could make this hotel better is if it were pet friendly which it might be. I didn't check.

Stayed here one night before flying out. the staff are very friendly, happy and helpful and the rooms were perfectly clean. Shuttle service was on time, and we were especially impressed with the breakfast, which included eggs, bacon etc. plus the normal continental breakfast. A great value.

I stayed here on a business trip, had not stayed at this hotel before nor was it recommended - chose off the internet. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and very clean this Best Western is. This is an older hotel but you wouldn't know it by the room - very clean and has all amenities needed. The staff was great, from the first person I met to the last. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting this area.

Other than it could have been a little cleaner, this place was a 10 including the cooked-to-order breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was the most pleasant I have ever seen. I will absolutely stay here again.

The hotels only 15min drive to disneyland, the pool area was great for the kids, the rooms a bit small but it done the job, the breakfast was ok, I would definitely stay here again, great value for money..

Excellent value on Hotel Terrace in Santa Ana. It fits the description of an up-scaled Best Western and I have stayed at three other adjacent properties. It;s just a notch below the Hampton level and a bargain for the money.

I've stayed at many Best Western in my lifetime. I would say the staff here is one of the best. However, they should wear more professional looking uniforms. The room is a good size. It is clean and the beds are comfortable. However they could be more generous with the amenities. For example, I used up their coffee packs on the 1st day and they were never replaced. I always make coffee in my room because most breakfast coffee is like water. Although there is made to order breakfast included, I didn'to order because I don't eat that kind of breakfast(pancakes and sausage) . I eat oatmeal which they have, but they don't have anything to go with it, no raisins, walnuts, or brown sugar. I eat yogurt, but it's behind the counter and I have to ask for it. There is ample parking and I felt safe here. But there are many hotels near here that are more generous with the amenities.

terrible customer service, mis-information, the bill was $109.88 including taxes, on my partners bill she was charged an extra 100 dollars, on discussing this long distance from Canada when we reviewed our credit card bill, his attitude was dismissive and 'couldn't care less' attitude, claiming all BW's engage in an extra deposit...this is NOT true, we have stayed at BW's many times in the US and Canada, this has never been practice before, and we were NOT warned of this extra deposit at book in!

While the overall stay was nice, we were not informed a $100.00 deposit would be taken and not returned for 3 to 5 working days. Using a Visa Debit this has a direct impact on my cash balance. The manager was not helpful at all and brushed me off with the attitude of "Oh, well". NOT happy at all!! We've stayed at various Best Western's in Canada and the U.S. and it has never happened before! Still NOT happy!

Great place to stay that is centrally located to anything in the O.C. We stayed 2 nights and it was a great place. Close to Disneyland. The room was comfy and the breakfast was also very good. We will stay here again for sure.

Best western always treats us great! On this trip what stands out best was the check in service and breakfast staff, I was checked in and in my room in less that 5 minutes with all that I needed. And on Saturday morning they were extremely busy in the dining area(Standing room only) and they still had my food out in less than 10 min! Need more seats. But I brought my food to my room and it was fine

Room was a good size with newer furniture, clean and comfortable. They provide a cooked breakfast, not a buffet breakfast. Hotel is better than many Best Western Plus Hotels. Stayed three nights and would stay here again.

The whole staff at this location were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the safety, professionalism, and overall experience of our stay here! I was pleasantly surprised that the breakfast set-up went so quickly due to how busy it was. We'll definitely be staying here again in the future!

Very clean, safe and comfortable hotel. It's not fancy, but it does the trick for an overnight stay for business. There's breakfast served in the morning to get you going on your day too. Overall a great hotel for a reasonable price.

This appeared to be an older motel but it was well maintained, clean and comfortable. The pool area, as well as other public areas, was very pleasant. The price was reasonable. The only negatives I can comment on are that there were few restaurants within reasonable walking distance (I did not have a rental for my overnight) and shuttle service had limited hours. The shuttle was quick to pick me up at John Wayne but I had to call a taxi for my early morning flight next day. Other than those two issues my stay here was very pleasant and I would gladly recommend it to others.

It is conveniently located, comfortable and very friendly. We have stayed here a couple of times before and like to stay here when we come to visit family. It's very quiet and a great place to get a good nights sleep. The full breakfast makes it a great value.

We stayed here for just one night on our way back from a California trip. We chose the hotel due to the proximity to John Wayne Airport but were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and nicely appointed with a flat screen TV. There is a pool and hot tub on the property, again, nice for an airport hotel. The pool area closes at 10 pm. They serve a cooked to order hot breakfast from a menu that varies each day. Pancakes, eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage are all on the menu at varying times. In addition to the cooked to order breakfast,there are plenty of buffet options such as cereal, fruit, pastries, coffee, and juice. The rooms can face either outside the property (not much to look at there) or toward the inner courtyard and pool area. The individual A/C unit in the room was one of the more quiet ones that I have encountered and didn't disturb my sleep as some of these units can. The bathroom was on the small side but the sink was outside of the privy/shower area so two of us could get ready at the same time.

This is a very nice hotel with excellent amenities including a cooked to order breakfast, pool and hot tub. It's a nice place to stay for one night or several more due to its excellent location and very well appointed rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy place to access because it is close to all of the freeways. Also the hotel offers free parking.

I stay here often for work, and enjoy a full cooked breakfast, very comfortable beds, clean room and nice staff. I have never had a problem here. I would recommend this property (and do) to all my work associates and friends.

This is our second stay at this location which is convenient for our trip purpose. Our stay was affordable being that we were gone for most of each day while there. We enjoyed their breakfast options and being able to revise them. The internet connection was weak at times, but otherwise mostly operational. We did not use the pool or gym.

Stayed for 6 nights at the end of July, check in was a little frustrating but got sorted quickly. We had a room at the back which was very quiet, the room was clean and smelt fresh. Breakfast was good with a good variety, cooked and continental. We had a first floor room, there was a bit of upstairs noise but earlier enough not to disturb us. Will be staying again at the end of our trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Check in was quick, and the staff member who helped us was friendly. Our room was modern and clean. The air conditioning was nice. The bed was comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast in the morning was very good. There were real, hot scrambled eggs, and other healthy choices. Check out was quick and easy. We will stay here again.

Good location, just off the freeway, easy to get around. Great value for the money, full American breakfast prepared by very attentive and caring people. Good sized rooms. House keeping services well done, very happy with visit.

Loved the cleanliness of the entire hotel property.Their cooks also do the cleaning of property, rooms & maint. Very polite & eager to assist w/any needs however the shower heads need desperate help. The breakfast options could be better I know its free with reservation, but come on..

Lots of parking, good size room for two, frig, microwave, comfortable bed, cold air to get great sleep. Good breakfast with plenty of coffee. Small area to eat. Close to beaches, Hollywood, zoo and just off the freeway. Easy to find hotel and suggest asking for 1st floor as they have several levels. Back side where we stayed was very quiet.

There are a string of hotels around this property and this hotel strikes a nice balance with cost and amenities. I really enjoyed the made-to-order breakfast and the good quality of the fruit that was available with the breakfast. The coffee was also above average for a moderately priced hotel and I do love my coffee. I'd stay here again.

A solid average hotel in a centralized location around the Santa Ana, Irvine area. An above average hot breakfast, but there was a hint of salt in the fresh apple wedges. We've stayed at this location several times and haven't a bad experience yet.

I would not stay at this hotel again. The bedding was stained on both the sheets and duvet cover. The breakfast tasted horrible. The eggs were rubbery tasting. The apples had some sort of preservative and had a horrible taste.

The hotel was overall clean and comfortable. I have only two complaints. First of all they say it is a non-smoking hotel. However, they allow smoking outside the rooms. The smoke drifts into your room if you happen to open the door while your neighbor is outside their room having a smoke break. My second complaint was at checkout. I asked for a late check of 1:00 pm instead of 12:00 pm. They said they could only give me until 12:30. Any later would be an additional 1/2 day charge. It seemed to me that for only 1/2 hour they could have been more flexible.

We stay here whenever we our in Southern California. It is comfortable, especially the mattresses, and it is centrally located to the places we need to go. We have family and friends within easy travel from the hotel. It is close to freeways and to entertainment.

Friendly & accommodating staff. Clean room, pool & spa. The breakfast was great. Cooked food as ordered. We estimated that in the LA area, the breakfast would have cost approx. $10 or more per person somewhere else. So if you deduct that cost from the price of the room, you really see value.

From the beginning of check-in to the time we checked out absolutely rude people in the front desk no help whatsoever, the breakfast area was very small very loud disorganized and the food was not so great, bedrooms looked old, my friends kids got bitten by bedbugs, Supervisor in front desk basically told her if she didn't like the other room she could check out, didn't want to take care of the situation and denied that there was any bed bugs, even showing him pictures of the bites... don't understand how this hotel has many good Stars rating management is absolutely rude and it's a shame that the Best Western Plus should have people like this managing their hotels.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast was hot and served fresh so no instant eggs. I had fresh fried eggs!!! The rooms where very nice. The only downside is you pretty much have to drive to get to a restaurant with exception of a Mexican bar and grill.

Almost all similar level hotels are in the same street. Staff were nice, breakfast was included just some crowded, easy parking. Saw some families with kids playing in the pool in the evening. Quiet neighborhood.

Hotel was clean, nice, and family friendly. Quick check-in. We did come across a minor issue in the room but it was fixed quickly. Breakfast was made to order, which is always a plus. Pool was clean. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Definitely coming back with the family.

We have stayed at this hotel twice now for periods of three weeks in each case and have found it to be extremely satisfactory. Before we settled on the Best Western we had used various other hotels in the area of John Wayne airport and consider this to offer the best baslance of comfort and price.

This was the last night of a 2-week trip to California. It was a relaxing stay with the hotel and surrounding buildings epitomizing southern California architecture. Breakfast was a little weird with guests being asked to choose between several packages of food rather than being able to choose individual items from among those available.We especially appreciate the driver who got us to the airport.

We have stayed at the Best Western Orange County several times. We continue to return because it is a clean, quiet hotel at a reasonable price. The hotel is close to the Orange County Airport, close to our family and friends, close to the beach and various places of entertainment.

All of the room doors are from the outside which means it's an older Motel. If you stay on the first floor your windows look out at people walking right by all the time so you have to keep the windows and blinds shut all the time. It is convenient to the Freeway and a inexpensive motels so expect inexpensive and cheap accommodations. I cannot believe the rating of this is so high. It looks nice from the outside and staff are friendly

This well-located hotel delivers a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. The access to freeways and businesses makes it a desirable location. An ample breakfast is included. Plenty of free parking. There is a well maintained swimming pool.

Hotel breakfast requires a ticket. If misplaced, a new one will not be provided. The breakfast supposedly included ham that was really a mystery meat. Long lines at breakfast and is not buffet like other great Best Western hotels.

I came here back in 2009 and it's about the same as I remember it. Decent place to stay - not the newest sheets, but still good. They have a great breakfast with good choices that will leave you full. The only bad thing was the smell of cleaning agents in the room is pretty strong on initial whiff.

From stepping into the lobby where Mitesh check me in carful to not expose my room number, of which I am very aware "others" may be looking. He stated they are trained to not expose room number. My impression continued upward from there. Personalized fresh cooked breakfast selection to of street parking are a couple of the highlights.

The hotel is quite large and has all rooms in the older style with the door opening to a balcony. Despite the imposing size of the property the breakfast area was well managed with a reasonable variety. The pool never seemed to be used whilst I was there. Given the location of it this may not be a surprise. Would stay here again quite happily.

Clean, fun pool! Interesting building with fun bridges. Super nice, genuine staff. Easy to check-in and check-out. Clean, comfortable room. Lots of space in the room and bathroom. Mini-fridge in room. Great hot breakfast for a hotel. Free on-site parking. Even some slight views of the mountains. The furniture could be considered a little 90s dated but still clean, functional, and comfortable. Clearly, it's a chain hotel so you know what you are getting.

Have used this hotel many times over the years. Nice to see the remodel of bathrooms with lots of new tile and fixtures. Generally quiet and trouble free stay. I do not enjoy he breakfast room. It could be remodeled and made much larger. So I go elsewhere for breakfast and still save a lot compared to upscale hotels.

This hotel was more like 3.5 stars. I stayed here after driving up from San Diego. The following afternoon I would be leaving out of OC Airport and I wanted to be somewhere close by. I should have mapped it. It's about 4 miles away from the airport - not bad, but I would have preferred to be closer. Nevertheless, the grounds are beautiful, parking is abundant and free, and the bed was delicious. The previous night I stayed in a higher end hotel in San Diego, and I can tell you that Best Western's bed was like a cloud in comparison. A comfy marmallow-y bed is so comforting for a weary traveler. As an extra bonus, there weren't any awful unclean comforters on the bed. The beds were covered in crisp cotton white sheets. They should get rid of the decorative pillows though. I don't think those can be cleaned after every stay. Otherwise, the room was clean, tidy and up to date. Nothing chipped or in disarray. My only complaint was that the shower head was too high and could not be positioned lower. It could have been just in this room. They had a free breakfast that I missed out on as I left early. The palm trees inside the courtyard and the pool looked very inviting. I would stay here again.

This hotel is close to all the freeways needed to get around Orange county. The staff is friendly and helpful. the breakfast has a wide variety of food to choose from. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place for business or pleasure.

I have reviewed this hotel before...it's still at the top of my list for a mid priced hotel. Honestly, when you see the star rating on travel sites it always comes in at 2.5 stars! I just don't get it.. it should be at least 3.5 if not four stars!! This hotel is extremely well managed, you can tell. The rooms are impeccable the grounds, pool and common area are also impeccable. Frankly, it's the best hotel I have found in all of California for the money. I would highly recommend and I will continue to stay here when in O.C.

I have stayed many times in Santa Ana for business recently. This is my first trip where I stayed at this particular Best Western location. The rooms are very clean and spacious. This is the first time that I've stayed in a hotel that has storage basket/shelves, in the shower....nice! The hotel is clean and quiet. The breakfast is good. The pool and hot tub are clean and seemed well maintained, as was the surrounding area and hotel grounds. All-in-all I am impressed with this Best Western. When I return to California next month, I'll be staying here!!!

One of the better BW motels. Fully recommend staying here plus a good breakfast.. Employees are courteous, efficient and helpful. If there is a problem, do not hesitate to contact the desk for a quick remedy.

I stay at this hotel often and haven't had any problems. Very comfortable and clean. The staff is very nice and makes you feel welcome. Breakfast is decent but as long as they have coffee I am happy. Very happy and will be staying here again. No problems with anything in the room.

Easy access from airport. I arrived for late check in. Front desk person very nice and quick to get room which was nice after a long day of travel. Nice quit location. Lots of places near by for quick bite. Room was clean, maid service daily, breakfast was good.

Our family (large group of 8) loved the stay here. The daily hot breakfast, is awesome!!!! The staff was always courteous, the rooms are very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The amenities in room are another wonderful addition. The coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave are great for a family, especially with young children. The pack and play offered was clean (however I had to buy a mattress mat so the baby would have more padding) However target is really conveniently located. So not a problem for us with transportation. We had room 106 and 108 connecting, both were quiet and close to pool. The location is awesome as it's only a few minutes away from the Newport Beach and minutes by freeway to Disney and beaches. The first thing you look for in a room is cleanliness and having an atmosphere conducive to productivity. Overall a super stay. Great staff to check in and out… Very clean, and close to John Wayne Airport and LAX.

I have stayed at this Best Western for over twenty years. At least once a year the room has been changed in some way. This time it was an upgraded bathroom. Always good, but now, much nicer. good job!

We decided to stay here instead of our usual hotel across the street, since they were having major remodeling construction and did not want to deal with all that. We ended up saving almost $200 by staying here for three nights. We were pleasantly surprised by the hot breakfast! You get to choose from four combinations daily of different style of eggs, pancakes or waffles, one option has hash browns and another toast. Meat of sausage, bacon or ham changes daily, no substitutions. 2-3 fruit selections, several pastries and the usual juices and coffee. We did not use the pool or gym. Internet hookup is very easy.

Over the course of 10 years, I have stayed at this hotel so many times it's not even funny. If you look close enough, you will find flaws - things can be a little dated in the rooms, some rooms have musty smells and things aren't always super clean. But, ultimately, it is a clean and comfortable hotel. If I needed a hotel in the area, it would be my first choice given the price. It is convenient to the freeway and about a 10 minute drive to South Coast Plaza. Also, the free breakfast is real food and the best free breakfast that I have encountered at a hotel.

Room, bedding, towels, etc...all is very clean, bed is comfortable. Staff are friendly & proficient. Can't ask for more! We traveled a lot to Orange county and definitely will stay here in the future!

Great 2 night stay. Every one of the staff was friendly and helpful, the entire property was clean and beautifully landscaped, the room was comfortable and quiet, and the price was good. We have stayed at quite a few Best Western Plus properties in the past few years, and this was probably the best (and better than a lot of other places we've stayed that cost a lot more).

We arrived almost past midnight. The staff at the counter was very courteous, friendly and helpful. Rooms were very well kept and clean. I will would certainly comeback to stay if reasonable & affordable price is available in future too.

This hotel is quiet, clean, very comfortable, secure for woman traveling alone, good service, central location for Orange and San Diego county business. I will definitely stay here again when I travel to the area.

Not knowing exactly where to stay, Best Western Plus was a quality stay - price, staff, amenities, especially the bed and the breakfast! The location to my conference was fairly close, as was the restaurants were within walking distance.

Stayed here for four nights. Flawless check-in and check-out. Staff was friendly. Everything about the hotel was pretty standard. Nothing outstanding but nothing really bad either. The room itself was pretty much standard. Nothing to complain about. Wanted a king room since I was by myself but gave me a double queen instead. There was some construction on the top floor. As a night-owl, the mornings were tough with the banging. The new toilets and bathtubs were semi in their boxes but laid out in a particular section of the parking lot. So a somewhat eye-sore. Also, certain nights I could hear the room upstairs. Not sure if they were walking loudly or the ceiling/floor is thin. Breakfast was cooked to order. Free but had four choices to choose from. It was decent in the end. There was a business meeting on-site so depending what time I went, it was somewhat crowded. Wifi speeds were amazing. Never experienced this kind of speeds before for a hotel. Thumbs up there. Weight room was underwhelming. Equipment could use updating. The room decor could have looked better instead of the appearance of stuffing equipment into any room they could find. Location was great - if you have a vehicle. There are a couple of fast food options if needed but otherwise, it was about 10-20 minutes drive to anywhere and everywhere I had wanted to go on this trip in any direction. The laundry was awkwardly placed. I'm used to the machines be inside a separate room where key is required. Here it is out in the open - no security at all.

I was given this hotel for one night and I expected it to be better than the two across the street. For some reason, I got booked a room that was next to some other rooms be reno'd. Honestly, I suppose they are doing it for the better, but the room was kind of old school. I usually stay at the LQ across and prefer their layout. I'm sure the BW has improved, as it was more open. I might stay here again if the price is right, but the LQ is more preferable at that point.

Perfect for my situation I commute from bay are every week and I stay at this hotel at least 2 nights a week. Place is very convenient because it's close, clean and safe. All the stuff is friendly and helpful and I will continue to use this hotel for future.

Do not waste your money and stay elsewhere, I have tried all the hotels in the area and none can compare to this one for Value, Comfort and Service. I have been staying here for about 5 years, I visit my office once a month for a week and this is the best location for Orange County visits. Close to Airport, Irvine, Orange, the Beach's, Santa Ana and direct route to LA on the weekend, just leave before 8 going to LA.

Set among several hotels just north of John Wayne Airport, this property has a resort feel to it. The staff was professional and attentive. The rooms look very recently remodeled (even the bath tile grout looked fresh). Our king room had plenty of room to move around including a sofa bed and desk. The WiFi was fast, the hot water instant and everything very clean and fresh. The best part was the price for all this. On the slightly negative side: the bed was really soft and the breakfast didn't offer any yogurt. OK, our eggs to order were perfectly done, so I guess our nits are pretty picky. For the price, the place is truly outstanding.

The hotel and staff were very good. However your website is horrible. As a member the frustration trying to log on using my iPhone with all the security questions and photo matching. i was sitting in my car in the Holiday Inn parking lot and was about to give up after 20 mins.

I have stayed at this property twice. Once in 2013 and once in 2015. In 2013 I had a very nice stay and thought the rooms were very clean, free breakfast, free parking great location with nice pool area, all a plus. In 2015 we had ants in our room and had to call several times to the front desk, I finally went down there and they responded quickly. Our car also became infested with ants. There is obviously a huge problem. They said many hotels had the same issue, but I have never seen anything like it. Over all it seemed dirtier than my previous stay. I hope they improve it again because it was a great place. I can't handle ants. my 2013 review would be 4 stars and my 2015 2 starts so I gave it 3 overall.

this is a good value, good breakfast, clean, excellent internet, EZ parking, good location place. when traveling, we spend little time in our room and this BW fits the bill. close to airport, no plane noise issues.

Be aware. If you have an early morning flight, you might be paying for a cab because the shuttle service doesn't start early enough to catch the first flight, and you might not get to eat the included breakfast. They wouldn't/couldn't even give me a yogurt and bread the night before so I could eat in my room before leaving.

Everything was fine. We were there to fly out of the Santa Ana Airport and the Best Western is generally a hotel that we can count on and this one was excellent: easy to find, clean, large room with plenty of counter and drawer space. There was also a pool that looked just beautiful and we got there early enough in the day to use it, but it was a cold day for southern California so we passed. Darn!

We have stayed here before and I did not hesitate to book again. The hotel is updated and clean. The fact that breakfast is included is always a plus. It was cooked to order, delicious and fast! My kids weren't even hungry for lunch. :) I made dinner in the microwave (brought frozen from Trader Joe's), which meant more to spend on activities. I checked other hotels in the area and was pleased at the AAA rate at this hotel. The location is great, too. We were close to the zoo and the Discovery Center. It was a short drive to the outlet mall and movie theater. Will come again!

We stayed here for one night while visiting friends nearby. Friendly, helpful guy on reception when we arrived - offered us a choice of rooms. Room was spotlessly clean and quite spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Quite decent complimentary breakfast although the breakfast room is a bit on the small side and was quite manic while we were there. Would definitely use this place again.

I originally booked the room for 4 nights , but I checked out the very next day . The room was smelly , strong odor , blood spots on the carpet , white stains on the sofa , smelly cushion , It was worst night of my life. terrible experience . Please Please do not trust online pictures !

I will have to give this property 1 just because I have to put something but in reality I would really like to just give them a complete negative. First issue while checking in I told the rep that I need it to use 2 credit cards one for the incidentals and one for the actual price of the room. He charged both of my cards $330. During the holiday this can really be an issue because well you didn't waste the money but he bank is still holding the money on the merchants behalf. Second issue the manager on site during the fallowing morning was just an A^#*+%E. I send me daughter to ask for a breakfast ticket that we had misplaced hard not to loose thing when you travel which minor they wanted to charge me a sum of 20$ for their continental breakfast. Which I did pay for the convenience to not have to travel outside the hotel. Once eating we notice a black long hair in our food my wife has red hair and I don't have hair so we came to the conclusion that it didn't belong to us. I took the plate to the manager in charge he continue to be extremely rude towards me, I kindly ask him to look at the plate and he looks at me with a look that came across like he was not caring or even bother to make it better he just really didn't care. The hotel over all is good, no parking fee which makes it ok but if you loose your breakfast ticket you will need to pay 20 dollars for that price your better off staying at the embassy suites across the street and pay parking and still get a better deal. This could be a decent place if the employees knew what they are doing and when the hotel can do something about making a guest happy they should try and not just be rude

I was highly impressed at the quality I received for the price I paid. Beautiful facility, wonderful staff, unique but pretty good breakfast, you order a main meal and then it is delivered to you from the kitchen, then your continental service starts, unexpected service. Pool and spa are really good. Very pretty facility.

I stayed here the last day before heading home, after my son had major life threatening surgery and had been at UCI for several week and I had been driving back and forth from his home 3-4 hours away...., so I was extremely stressed. I was able to drop off my car at the airport the night before, and their shuttle picked me up and brought me back. The rooms were comfortable and I woke up refreshed., Only complaint was that as a woman alone-- I would have preferred to be in the main area rather than across the walkway near the back of the hotel where it was dark and had outside access. The shuttle drivers were light and fun to talk with, the made to order breakfast was very good. I felt safe on both shuttles (to and from) with the way the drivers maneuvered traffic, Both drivers were conservative (non risky or scary, which is common feeling where hwys merge together ) .

Very close to the airport and even closer to my former workplace.The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Having a full breakfast menu was excellent since I am a morning person. Then work it off in the fitness. Room was very clean.

PROS: - Clean Grounds - Spa - Free Breakfast - Free Wifi - Quite street/Area - Great parking - 15-20 minute drive to Disneyland - Lots of food, cafes & take away places just around the corner on Harbor Rd. - Cute little Gym room - Great price we paid only 1800 AUD for 14 nights on the peek happy holidays period. CONS: - Lied about 'heated' pool in all their advertising, it's FREEZING.... Kids were devastated! - Quite a few issues with room service ladies flipping my bedding over instead of changing the cover (old stain was seen by us) and forgetting to refill tissues and toilet paper so had to use receptions toilet a few times but this may be managements fault expecting to many rooms cleaned in a short time by their workers (over-worked) which causes rushing and not perfecting things. - Mexican Ladies in the kitchen didn't understand me when I asked for some more knives for the dining room and a housekeeper on another occasion when asking for more tissues & toilet paper (they say Kleenex). - We were there when they started to renovate something so drilling and banging at 8am wasn't to pleasant. - Mini bins in rooms are way too small for a family, we needed to go out and buy bigger bin bags. - No toilet brushes to clean the toilet. - Reception is in a weird place, we drove right around the building to try find the entrance. - Deli is a waste of time, I didn't even see milk in the tiny 2 metre by 2 metre shop lol. Don't totally dismiss this one just be wary :)

The nice, clean, comfortable accommodations and excellent service in this hotel make it comparable to brands priced 30 - 50 percent higher in this area. We always enjoy staying here. The cooked to order breakfast is not fancy but very satisfying, with many additional choices of fresh fruits, cereals, and pastries.

I came from my graduation. Quiet, staff was very accommodating. Plenty places to eat within a couple of miles. I would suggest a drive to the water. Only 12 miles. They even cooked breakfast choices and bought to your table.

This was our second visit to this Best Western. To use the SoCal expression, "it's freeway close", just a stone's throw from SR 55 and Interstates 5 and 405. Despite that proximity to the freeways, it's relatively quiet, particularly the rooms (like ours) which faced the courtyard. While the rooms aren't huge, they're adequate for their intended purpose, since presumably you'll be spending little time in the room during the day. The complimentary breakfast is somewhat unique in that it's served from a kitchen with 3-4 options given to the guests. The food itself is the standard fare for motel/hotels, with nothing to write home about. The breakfast room is relatively small and usually packed to the gills during the breakfast hours. The only real criticism I can make of this hotel is the water pressure in the shower. Due to the drought water restrictions, the flow from the shower nozzle is VERY WEAK and barely adequate to do the job. Surely, the motel can loosen up the flow somewhat. Parking is also somewhat problematic if you want to be close to the lobby for load-in and load-out. We had to park a country mile away on the backside of the hotel due to our late check-in this time. Other than those issues, we'll probably continue to stay here on our visits to OC.

I stay in Best Westerns a lot when traveling, because they're usually very budget-friendly and offer a consistent level of comfort and cleanliness, along with free breakfast. There was nothing particularly bad about this hotel, it was just a bit underwhelming compared to others I've stayed at. There were a couple of run-down, possibly inoperable cars in the parking lot and the layout was a bit... odd. Upon entering the room, immediately to the left lied the bathroom. It was pretty standard: sink, toilet, stand-up shower. Walking further into the room past the bathroom was a lounge area with a desk, coffee table, and sofa. Beyond that was the bed and TV, then the window. Mine was on the ground floor facing the parking lot. Now if you were to turn back around you would notice something quite interesting that you walked past on the way in. There is bathtub and a very small sink located in the lounge area. Nice I suppose if you want to lounge in the bath and watch some TV... or if you want to open the curtains and give everyone in the parking lot a free show! Not sure what the purpose of the tiny sink there is, but maybe you're more creative than I am. I don't know, I just thought it was strange for the bathtub not to be in the bathroom.

This is an older property that has been fairly well maintained. It is extremely close to the airport which makes it attractive. The only downside to the room was the product they use to clean with - very fragrant and for someone with allergies it is a bit over powering. The best thing about the room was the bed - very comfortable.

The place was litteraly below cheap motel level. I usually stay at Best Western plus because of their service but this one..... might be because its West Coast I usually stay East Coast only. But after this experience I will think twice before booking Best Western again. Card key had to be renewed every day almost. Personnel less than friendly and even less competent or professional. Rooms were clean on the surface just dont take a closer look.

This hotel is clean with a nice outdoor pool. They offer a free shuttle to John Wayne Airport (SNA) that starts at 6:00 a.m. I didn't have a vehicle so finding an evening meal was challenging. I didn't feel comfortable walking in the dark alone because I hadn't been there before. The area was "hotel row" and looked clean and safe however. I was able to order from a restaurant close to the hotel that offered free delivery. If you find yourself in that situation call Spoons Bar and Grill for a great burger! I stayed on the 3rd floor in room 326. There is an elevator on the property.

Stayed at the Best Western Plus Orange County Airport North ~ excellent service, courteous and friendly staff. Definitely going to stay there again. Excellent place for business as well as pleasure. We were down to visit a friend in ICU and checked in very late, staff was very courteous, helpful and went out of their way to make sure everything was great for our stay. The breakfast is one of the best we have had in all of the chains we have stayed at. You get to choose which breakfast you would like and they cook it right then for you! Clean rooms, comfortable bed and the internet was great! Most places you wind up with free internet but rarely get a signal, here the signal was strong the entire time!

I couldn't have asked for a better stay at a hotel. Bathroom was new and fresh, with great decor. Fridge and microwave were great. Internet always had a strong signal. Breakfast was best free breakfast I'd ever had.

We have discovered that we enjoy staying at Best Western the most. Bang for the buck, Best Western Hotels are always the best value. The price is right the beds are comfortable the rooms are quiet, and the staff are always professional and helpful. The full breakfast at this hotel is superb. I would strongly recommend Best WQestern to everybody.

Room was clean and everything worked. Bed was firm the way I like it, pillow were not comfortable I like a very soft pillow but didn't use the pillow, Everything worked, nice tv room was clean. Very close to John Wayne airport and Jack in the Box and Subway plus a Shell gas station is at the corner which was nice. They cooked you a hot breakfast if you wanted it, which you normally only get at Embassy Suites or Hilton. The young man at the front desk was extremely polite, kind and helpful wanted to make sure my stay was good. Could not log into the computer in the business so he was kind enough to print it out at the front desk. The airport is less than 5 minutes away and easy rental car return.

Very nice hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was simple but very nice for the price. The staff was freindly and helpful. We didn't have any issues during our stay just one quiet night and breakfast made to order in the morning. My eggs weren't quite right and the staff remade them quickly.

I came to the hotel after an intercontinental flight, and needed to continue to NYC the next morning. I told the staff I needed to wake up at 5:30 A.M so I could get som work done. The room had a strong perfume scent, but I did not want to make waves...just get to bed. Despite sleeping in the bed next to the phone, I heard no wake up call. I got up on my own 90 minutes later, had a very mediocre breakfast, and then waited for the shuttle. My large bag weighed about 20 lbs. The driver, John Paul, grabbed the bag, and the handle, which had been fine, broke. I asked him what I should do about it, and he told me "it broke itself." He gave me the hotel card, but not the central BW number. When I asked him to write his name on a slip, he wrote John Paul and an initial for his surname. When I asked him to write his whole surname, he refused, saying "you dont need that." Once at the airport, I called the hotel, and a few minutes later, the manager returned my call. Instead of offering some remedy or compensation, he too, denied any responsibility. Ive used that suitcase many times, and it never broke. The first time the hotel employee handled it, it broke. That should tell you something. I asked for compensation ("20 dollars or some points") and the manager refused. I had told his assistant (after all this happened) about the fact the wake up call did not go thru. The manager checked it and said they had tried three times. I asked him why this didn't work, and he flippantly said "probably the prior guest turned the volume down!" I should add that my room was only 20 steps from the lobby!). He told me I should have checked the volume on the phone!!!! Ive stayed at many hotels as I travel worldwide. I have never experienced anything like this. I should add that this was my first BW experience, and I am very,, very disappointed. This could not have happened at an IHG or Carlson hotel! When the manager does not act professionally and take responsibility, is it strange that the staff follow suit!

I can only saw good things about this hotel, no complaints at all. The breakfast was AWESOME, close to made to order. Loved our stay! It would have been nice to have a connecting room but they went out of their way to give us rooms that were next to each other.

Great place to stay and great staff. The hotel is surrounded by other hotels but this was a great hotel to stay at. They might need a little bit more parking because it was hard to find parking at night. Internet was good and breakfast was also good. Restaurants are not to far from the hotel as well. And easy access to the freeway. Will definitely stay here again.

People in room next door were constantly smoking in and outside the room which ended up in my room. Spoke with front desk and they said they would send staff to talk with the people. I called again a few hours later because the people kept smoking. Nothing was ever done to stop them. The bathroom smelled like a urinal the whole time. The shower had no warm water, it was either full on hot or cold. Had to soap up step into very hot or cold water. I did not report the shower or the smell because I did not want to deal with the hassle of changing rooms.

This was a leisure trip my husband and I desperately needed. Although we love comfy beds, the free breakfasts is at the top of the list. We were surprised the online picture looked nothing like the real thing. Guests were tripping over each other to get a table in the small dining area and it appeared the kitchen staff was rationing the food. They were literally putting small amounts of food out at a time. We were confused how the whole ticket worked so my husband went alone the first day. They not only took the ticket they handwrote for the whole family but they wouldn't let the rest of us eat without it so I practically begged. After not getting my way, I had to let them see my bad side and got in a pissy mood (I was hungry!) so they let us eat. They weren't rude just firm. They second day I went down first and took my ticket and before they confiscated it I got "smart" and told them I had other family members eating as well a little later. They wrote down the info and they still had a hard time getting their food. Their dining system really sucks. If they see someone with eye boogers and Medusa hair, YES, they are guests! Let them eat!

Best Western is normally a great place to stay. However would not recommend this location. Poor check in check out, poor choice for food delivery, noise early in am. Other hotels in the same area, so I would chose one of those over this hotel.
