"Exceptional"

User 09/02/2023

The room was very clean, the breakfast was very good, the television cable service was excellent, with the local channels, HBO and Cinemax. If your conducting business in the Flushing, NY area this is the excellent spot it is near the local restaurants and all the amenities you would want., The bottom-line is that I felt at home!

"Near the subway and restaurants"

3
Time_Traveller_CA, Toronto, Canada 09/01/2023

Hotel is not too bad. Very convenient location. 3-4 minutes walk to Main subway station which runs express to Manhattan/Time Square. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Breakfast is good, though breakfast room is very small and only has a few tables. Bathroom tiles have some molds.

"Good Location"

ScottReedLogistics, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania 17/11/2022

Nice, small room. Everything was clean and nice, except a little mold in the shower. You couldn't hear any other guests, but there were planes that flew overhead since it was so close to the airport. Breakfast was small but had good coffee, and it was open for more than 3 hours. There were only 3 parking spots for $28 per day. You have to move your car when you check out. The Skyview mall was less than a 10 minute walk, so we parked there. It was $24 per 24 hours with plenty of space. The LIRR was also less than 10 minutes walking and we used that to get to Penn Station. We liked it there and would stay again. It was especially convenient for walking to restaurants, taking the train downtown, or taking the car in and out of the mall parking garage.

Cleanliness is an issue, lobby is dirty with spider webs and dirt. Bathroom unsanitary and bedspread was soiled blood stain. Mildew on walls in bathroom. Outside toilet bowl was not clean. Has potential to be better if they would clean it.

"Nice find in Flushing"

4
gregmay12, Baldwinsville, New York 01/09/2022

Very convenient location. Two blocks from the 7 subway, 20 minute walk to US Open or Citi Field. Many good restaurants close by. Staff was very helpful in giving in directions and making recommendations. Our queen room was small but clean. All we did there was sleep and keep our clothes there. The sixth floor was extremely quiet, elevator was quick. They held our bags after check out which was very handy. Bed was soft but very comfortable. No fridge, small closet, one dresser for clothes. Breakfast was meager but got us through the morning. We felt safe in the neighbor even walking back about 12:30A. Two valet parking garages nearby about $25/day. We would definitely go back.

"Don't go there"

M3287VYjohn, Tewksbury, Massachusetts 28/06/2022

Lack of parking, lack of amenities, and overall nickel and diming everything.. we were not treated like valued guests. It was almost seemed to be imposing on their time. The lack of on-site parking (3 spots) alone cost me Lmos $30.00 for a 10 hour stay.

"Room too dirty to stay"

1
User 06/06/2022

We saw bugs after 2 nights and had to investigate the cleanliness. Ac filter was filthy, black mold found in one of the drawers, there was a hole in the wall behind the TV that we think the bugs had come through, and there were condoms and used qtips behind the bed. At this point we needed to leave immediately and when we went to the front desk, they originally wanted to charge us for the full length of our stay (including the nights we had yet to stay) as well as a fee for leaving early. It took a couple of hours of waiting for someone to contact us for them to agree to just charge us a fee. Very dissatisfied, literally scared to stay here again

"Be aware of rip off by front desk staff"

1
Q Z, Collierville 23/05/2022

Because of a flight cancellation, This was the only hotel I could find on Hotels.com. When got to the hotel, there was a very strong smoking smell. The front desk staff was rude and insisted to increase the price by $15 on top of what I paid at Hotels.com because I had a child, who was included in the reservation with exact age already. I simply rejected the request because if she didn't agree the price, she should talk to Hotels.com, not me. The check-in process was unpleasant. The room was OK, although outdated. The bath tub was filthy and did not drain appropriately, the water accumulated fast. The breakfast was one of the worst, if not the worst among all BW hotels I've stayed. Compared to other BW properties, the selections were pathetic, the croissant was cold and sticky, coffee was sour. However, the location of the hotel was excellent, easy walk to nearby restaurants, etc.

"Nice and clean, GREAT food options close"

5
CaptMorgan1776, Old Saybrook, Connecticut 23/05/2022

A nice clean hotel with the usual amenities. The best part is the 'Coop' restaurant across the street. Great food and drink. Overall this is a nice hotel, good price for the tidy room. It was close to the marina we were working out of so that was nice as well.

"Mold in bathroom; FIX THE FAN"

2
User 13/04/2022

This hotel let us check in at 11:30 A.M. which helped us a lot. Could improve on the cleanliness. Room was very small, no room to put our suitcases to open except on the bed. Not a variety of restaurants to choose from as this hotel is in the middle of Chinatown. The one thing that made us very dissatisfied was the fact that the bathroom fan did not work and their was mold growing in several places. You could see where mold had been wiped off and that it had been growing before. FIX YOUR FAN! Won't be staying here again!

"Nice clean Hotel with comfortable room"

3
User 21/03/2022

The hotel is clean. I have no complaints with the condition of the hotel or the professionalism of the staff; however the hotel is located in the center of a densely population community, and because of this, the hotel has only 3 on-site parking spots. Guest that are not lucky enough to get one of these spots, must park down the street. If you are not accustomed to driving in NYC, then driving in the area surrounding the hotel will be a challenge. It is bumper-to-bumper and pedestrians everywhere.

"It is a perfect location for stay"

4
aishanscott, Boston, Massachusetts 11/10/2021

The front desk was not so friendly at the beginning when we tried to ask some parking spot information, but overall the hotel is a convenient location to go to a lot of restaurants. It was a great experience to stay in this hotel for 1 night.

"So so stay"

2
dym328, Chicago, Illinois 15/09/2021

Great location to get to the US Open. Rooms are dated and service is non-existent and front desk staffs are quite unfriendly! Do not recommend if not going to the Mets game or the US Open event. Beds are no comfortable. Beddings and towels could use an upgrade.

"Convenient location"

5
mariezbi, Boston, Massachusetts 02/09/2021

Stayed here for the US Open Tennis Championship. Within walking distance and everything you need is close by. Shopping mall, great food options, reasonably priced parking and a helpful friendly staff.

"Bed bugs"

1
User 14/08/2021

This place should be demolished. It was very unclean, toilet dirty, and tissue holder barely holding on. There were roaches and bed bugs. The entire 2nd floor smelt like rotten fish. I paid $1300 to be bitten up by bed bugs. Not only did I have 2 rooms, I also had family to stay in two other rooms. As a military veteran, I will not advise any of my fellow military nor family to stay. I wish I could give it negative ms instead of a 1.

Maryann M, Watertown, Massachusetts, USA 28/07/2021

This hotel is in Flushing NY. It is a short and easy walk to a 7 MTA subway stop that goes to Manhattan. With one transfer one can also get to Forest Hills Stadium. Took about 40 minutes on a Saturday to get to Manhattan. The hotel staff is helpful and courteous. The bed was comfortable. There are 3 parking spots at the hotel entrance. Cost is $26. day. Other public parking is available nearby. I felt safe in the area, which was primarily during the day and evening. The hotel itself is clean and well kept. The hotel is in Chinatown area with a ton of restaurant options and Asian cuisines. A few have outdoor dining. For those with covid concerns... everyone indoors and most people outdoors wore masks. I know it is NY but was sad to see so much trash along the streets in the neighborhood. During my visit, room was quiet. Giving the hotel 4 but thinking it is more 3.5.

"Great location"

4
newmanshee, Boston, Massachusetts 18/06/2021

Best western, great location, small as expected, parking is off site but has a loading zone to move luggages. There is no breakfast due to covid-19. Walks to all the Chinese restaurants and night life. Checin out was easy. Had a room away from the streets and was reasonably quiet.

"Warning: Booking online includes a $19.99 nonrefundable fee"

4
tedrS9126AQ, Charlotte, North Carolina 08/06/2021

I stay here regularly because I go to Mets games. Basic hotel, reasonably priced, front desk service is generally good, the hotel is generally quiet, the mattresses are okay not great. A fabulous location in the heart of Flushing. I have never had any problems here until now. I am posting because after booking, i found a $19.99 nonrefundable booking fee on my credit card. I plan to update my review following my stay. Just wanted to point out this fee as most people do not like undisclosed nonrefundable fees.

"Comfort and safe in Flushing"

5
rodk868, Salem, Massachusetts 08/05/2021

We always stay at the Best Western when we visit Flushing to see my father, who lives nearby. In this season of pandemic, the hotel is taking all the health & safety precautions that one wants (instead of a breakfast room, a bagged food package is offered, for example). We were able to park in one of the hotel's spaces--a huge plus. The room was clean, the Internet connection strong, the staff super-friendly and courteous. The location is excellent, whether you want the best Asian food offerings in NYC or if you like being a short walk from a new upscale shopping mall. Walk a little farther? See the Mets play or enjoy the Queens Botanical Garden.

"Excellent Hotel"

5
TLatta413, Springfield, Massachusetts 18/03/2021

I am in the process of potentially relocating and have stayed at all the major hotel chains in NYC. The only pleasurable and non racist experience I experienced was with Best Western. I am 41 years old and am very cognizant of discrimination at hotels. And none of that was present here, and the staff top to bottom where great! I highly look forward to only staying at Best Western locations whenever possible, everytime it's possible across the country. Thank you for the piece of mind! I appreciate it!

"Great Value"

"Best western"

User 28/07/2020

Nice place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are alot of restaurants right outside the entrance. There are many banks and convenient stores. The 7 train is only a few minutes away and will take you straight into Manhattan. You can also move easy within Queens. You also have the option to take any of the local buses to your desired destination. This area provides a good cultural experience and has a variety of cuisines to choose from. There are alot of good Asian restaurants. There are many dine in and take out restaurants. There is also a really good taco stand on Roosevelt Avenue if your on the run. There is a Target store only a few minutes away walking distance if you need to do any shopping as well.

"Convenient and Quiet"

Serena L, Vancouver, Canada 18/02/2020

I've stayed here a few times for my holidays. I travel alone to meet friends there these last few years. It has become my first choice for hotels when I visit NYC because of location, convenience and friendly staff. The lady at the front desk has begun to recognize me already although I am there annually . At least I like to think so. The staff is helpful and polite. The rooms are decent, fairly quiet and very comfortable. The location is near many restaurants and the subway so getting in and out is very convenient. Even the Shuttle to the city and brooklyn chinatown is a short walk away!! Definitely recommend this hotel!

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Serena: Thank you for making us your first choice as well as your loyalty and we recognize that. We are glad to hear that you would recommend us.

"Good way to do Flushing"

4
rodk868, Salem, Massachusetts 18/02/2020

We've stayed at this Best Western several times now. It's a well-run hotel with a welcoming, efficient staff. The location? Excellent if you're in Flushing to enjoy the exotic cuisine and cultural life of this enclave--and it's an easy walk to the Long Island Railroad and the subway. It's great for the price range--not super fancy but no hardships.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Dear rodk868: Thank you for the review. We are glad to hear that you are satisfied with our hotel and our staff. We hope to see you again.

"If possible do not stay here"

If possible do not stay here. The room is not clean . Someone's hair still stick on the towel and on the carpet. The sink is inoperative. The staff is not friendly and you can not drop bags in this hotel.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Hong: My apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your stay. Our rooms are checked twice before we let any of our guests enter them. And our staff is known for their great service. Perhaps things were lost in translation. I hope you allow us the opportunity to show you what the hotel truly has to offer. Thank you

"NY vacation"

RichardXh, London, United Kingdom 26/10/2019

Hotel located in bustling community within Flushing. Easy for amenities and access to subway for line 7 straight into Manhattan. Front of House staff at reception, generally helpful and friendly, of particular note was Fannie. Fannie is confident and fluent in English, and being this tuned in with the language helps with understanding guests and their needs as well as being able to respond appropriately and as such was most helpful on handling our general enquiries. She was an efficient and pleasant member of staff to deal with and demonstrated efficiency in making travel arrangements for us to the airport from the hotel.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Richard: Than you for the wonderful review. I am glad our staff was there to help you with anything you needed. We pride ourselves on our superior customer care and I am glad we were able to show that. Fannie is a great asset to the hotel. We look forward to seeing you again when you are back in NY Sincerely,

"The worst nest western hotel in US"

1

They do not clean the rooms. The check in procedure is very slow and hotel attendants were not friendly. The hotel does not like you to reserve the rooms through any travel agencies. The breakfast room is dirty with low quality foods

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Woodbridge: I am sorry to hear that your experience with us was not a peasant one. We thoroughly clean each guest room unless there is a Do Not Disturb sign on your door. We are also in the process of redoing our breakfast so please bare with us as we make this transition. Thank you

"Best Western Is always Worth the Stay"

5
User 11/10/2019

I have been a loyal Best Western member for more than a decade. Time after time, my experience with this fabulous international hotel chain has proven be consistently positive and worth my loyalty. There is no exception with my recent stay at the Queen Court BW Hotel located in Flushing, NY, from Sept 13 to Oct 11. This lengthy visit naturally presented many demanding situations and sometimes intricate issues, all of which were quickly and professionally dealt with to my complete satisfaction. Special thanks to Judy, Fannie, Frank and several other members of the front desk crew including the managers. They are resourceful, dedicated, patient and thoughtful in handling all kinds of issues. While amenity, price, hygiene and comfort matters at a hotel, only a trustworthy and reliable service crew can present you with a complete package that gets you the best bang for the buck, and keeps you coming back.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Wilson: Thank you for the great review. I am glad Judy and Fannie provided the customer care you needed. They are valuable assets to the hotel. We hope to see you again soon Sincerely,

"Very basic for what you pay, but this is New York City"

3
0emmast, London, United Kingdom 04/10/2019

First the negatives, then the positives, as that was the order in which I noticed these features. My first impression wasn't great as the toilet seemed like it hadn't been properly cleaned when I entered [including being inadequately flushed, there was some sort of (I shudder to think what) debri and a hair in there and it even smelled bad]. Whenever I tried to take a shower the only two temperatures possible seemed to be freezing cold or scalding hot. Breakfast was absolutely abysmal, and in one of the most depressing little rooms I've ever come across - even though it was included I ate breakfast outside every day anyway. The front desk was always rather intimidatingly brisk and unfriendly, but perhaps they were just busy. It was a dark and dingy room, generally, and the sheets and towels seemed a little old and even slightly stained here and there (but not unclean). The bathroom fittings were old and a little grubby-looking from wear and tear. I say all this with the caveat that given how high prices are for hotels in New York City, this wasn't actually that bad. The A/C worked just fine, it wasn't filthy, and it was cleaned on a daily basis and after my first day seemed to be cleaned perfectly adequately, too. The rooms were quite big and the beds were really comfortable and big, too. There was a huge TV screen for those who are into that sort of thing, with a seemingly endless number of channels. And when I did approach the front desk things were well sorted even if they took a little while. And even though Flushing is quite far from central NY - if that's where you need to be, as I did - the upside is that there's a wealth of really very yummy and affordable restaurants at your doorstep. All in all, NYC is one of the few places in the world where I'd put up with paying over 200 dollars a night (including tax) to stay at a place like this but it is unfortunately the nature of visiting this city and it definitely wasn't all bad. The only additional critique I would add but that's characteristic of most smaller hotels still (so not at all specific to this hotel, just something worth noting to encourage rapid change) is that having a small recycling bin in the room is probably something that needs to happen soon; also, there should be a substitute found to putting out those small plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles that can't be recycled at all.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi 0emmast: Thank you for the review. I am surprised to hear about the condition of the room upon check in. All of our rooms are checked twice before we even let our guests enter. I will definitely speak to our housekeeping manager to make sure this does not happen again. I am glad you were able to enjoy the area and that the bed was comfortable. Half the stay in a room is in the bed and that is one of the most important items in the hotel. I hope you allow us to show you how great the hotel truly is on your next stay. Sincerely,

"Only When The rate Is The Lowest I Would Come, Otherwise I Wouldn't"

2
t0mj865, Plattsburgh, New York 07/09/2019

So this had happened many times and that's why I don't like to come here only when the rate is the lowest in the area. The front desk staff rushes you out 10 minutes before check-out and I had twice"if you check-out later than 12 it's going to be 11 some dollars for an hour." I don't have problems when the front desk staff tell me to check-out if I'm late, but they should speak in a nicer way. Sometime I'm having trouble with my sleep at night so I can't really wake up early enough to check-out on-time. The front-desk staff usually told me"what do you want to do because you are late for check-out." I told them I need 5 or 10 some minutes and they never had problem with it, but this one... The attitude of the front-desk staff was also rude when I was leaving, it was like can't wait for me to get out. How rude is that... I'll only come when the rate is the lowest in the area, that's all! Otherwise I'm not going to come because most of times I had felt not welcomed here.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Tom: I apologize for the staff service if they did not offer the superior customer care they are well known for. Thank you

"Horrible Experience! Very Rude, didn't want to speak English, etc."

User 16/07/2019

Horrible experience. It started in April when I called to see if we can get a group rate for 10 rooms. The lady that answered the call told me 149.00 but that she will check with the manager and call me back in 24 hours. After 2 days I called back and she said that the manager told her it was too cheap and the best he could do was 169.00. My family found rates for less than 169.00 on travel websites and we took 7 rooms. We checked in on Friday at 2 pm and the check-in person took almost 20 minutes to tell me that she was trying to find out why the 2 rooms I had reserved had different rates. I told her that one room was for 3 people and the other for 4. She had to pull out a calculator to add her totals per room to find out that it was the same as my reservation. After she made me sign and agree that this is a non-smoking room, she finally gave us the room keys on different floors. My daughter called me to tell me that her room smelled like somebody had smoked in there. We went to her room and just coming off the elevator the hallway stunk of cigarette smell that filtered all the way into her room. We went to the front desk and the lady said that she had to check the room. After she talked to somebody on the phone in Chinese she told us that the manager would check the room. When a guest complains about cigarette smell in a non-smoking hotel you don't make the guest feel like liars, by checking the room, you change the room and deal with the smell later. The manager after checking the room came to the front desk grumbling in Chinese and said very angrily in Chinese to the front clerk that we were lying, that no one else except us complained about the smell, and that the room was fine (we are Chinese, we knew what she was saying!). She was very dismissive and claimed that there were no rooms available, and she could not change the room. She started to yell at us over and over again that there are no more rooms and that no one else complained in Chinese. My wife asked the manager to speak to us in English and she refused to talk to us, she told us to talk to the front desk clerk. After arguing with the front desk clerk in English and the front desk clerk was translating it to the manager in Chinese they somehow "found another room, 207, on the same floor, with the smell. We refused the room and after more yelling and arguing with the front clerk she said something like "forget about her, I'll give you another room". She was very angry but gave us another room (606) on a different floor, this room was OK but she didn't change the rate from the original room reservation to the new room 606. When we were checking out on Sunday, the check out person took 15 minutes to tell me that I owed them $140.00 more. That the total was almost 900.00. I showed her that my reservation for 2 nights, 2 rooms was 766.88. She said she didn't care, that the computer was right. I showed her that total on my reservation and the amount I paid at check-in was the same and I didn't owe anything. She said in very bad English that the computer stated the amount owed was $140.00 and kept insisting that I pay her, instead of trying to resolve the issue. She finally called the manager and at first, he said the same thing but after arguing with him he said something in Chinese to the clerk and said that he will fix it. It took another 20 minutes for him to tell me that the check-in clerk didn't change the rate when she changed the room. He said he was sorry but by this time I was fuming and angry. On a different subject, my daughter, my nephew's wife and my brother had bug bites on their bodies. Breakfast was horrible, the line for the microwave was so long that we never got a chance to use it. The coffee machine has 5 types of coffee but only one work. There is construction going on in the front of the building even on Saturday afternoon, the workers on the scaffolding were able to see inside when my sister-in-law was changing her clothes.

"Basic no-frills hotel. No parking. Poor WiFi connection speed"

1
VACATION1122, Seattle, Washington 07/07/2019

This is a basic no-frills hotel in Flushing Chinatown. If you're looking for a basic room to sleep at a reasonable rate and do not mind bad Wifi connection speed, old dated room with tiny bathroom and slow draining sinks, this hotel is for you. If you're driving to the hotel, be forewarned that the hotel does not have a driveway. You have to park you car on a busy narrow street to offload your luggage. There is no parking on the hotel premises either. The nearest parking garage is at LAZ parking garage located at the basement of One Fulton Square building across the street from the hotel at $25/day. We made our reservation on Best Western's website for a room with double beds for 3 guests. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were told by the front desk lady that we have to pay an extra $22 for my child as my reservation was for 2 adults and 1 child and my child was over 13. I showed her my reservation email from Best Western which showed my reservation for 3 guests. She said, “that is what is showing on my computer,” and proceeded to whip out her calculator to calculate the amount to add to my bill. I was displeased with the extra charge. Not willing to find a different hotel at the last minute, I grudgingly agreed to the extra charge. The room is basic, dated and small with a small bathroom designed for one person. There is only one small sink with no shelving to store your toiletries bags; barely enough space on the counter for one toiletries bag. Sink is slow to drain and bathroom fixtures are old. The shower fixture is missing parts that allow you to adjust the flow and water pressure. There are two tiny robe hooks at the back of the bathroom presumably to allow guests to hang clothes or towel but they are so tiny, your clothes and towel keep falling onto the floor. There is a mini fridge in the room but no microwave. Hotel offers complimentary breakfast from 7-9am. Unlike other hotels which keep their breakfast rooms open all day for guests to enjoy coffee or tea throughout the day, this hotel locks its breakfast room at 9am. They do offer steamed buns for breakfast but they were cold and uncooked. Coffee machine only has one setting which only allow guests to get a half cup coffee at a time, presumably as a cost-saving measure. Based on our experience, it is unlikely that we will ever stay at this hotel again unless it undergoes a makeover to improve its dated interior and exterior, and customer service.

Hi Vacation: I am sorry to hear that your stay was not a very pleasant one. It seems that the underlying concern is space. From the parking to the size of the rooms but as you know NYC is very limited in space. That is why we always build up and not out. We are in the process renovating the hotel and the rooms so please bare with us during this transition. You can see some of the improvements we have made and we will continue to make these strides. Thank you and I hope you allows us another opportunity to show you what we truly offer. Sincerely,

The room was clear and the bed was also very comfortable. The hotel is near the subway and this was the best in our stay! The breakfast has nothing to eat not even chocolate for the pancakes , the room was noisy because of the airport .

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Geonasta: Thank you for the review. This is actually the first review ever about noise from the airport. We are actually 2 miles from the airport in the heart of Flushing NY. Anyway, I am glad that you enjoyed the comfort of our room and I hope to see you again. Sincerely, Frank C

This hotel was further from the airport than expected. They have No Hotel Shuttle service so we had to take a cab to & from the hotel. The hotel room was clean & neat, but no outlets to plug in phones or computers. The decor is a bit dated.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Lori: Thank you for the review. I know we are a bit further from Laguardia but that is actually a good thing. There is more to do in the neighborhood and easier access to the subway to get you into Manhattan. We are always improving the hotel and continue to impress our guests. We hope to see you again soon!

Manish M, Indore, India 26/05/2019

The hotel is near to the LGA airport but due to lot of construction going on, the time required to reach hotel from the airport is more. Rooms are very big as compared to other Manhattan hotels. The hotel is in the China Town. If you are a vegetarian, you will find it little difficult to find veg meals.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Manish: I apologize for the way the area is. I know construction is going on in the neighborhood but New York is ever changing. We have all sort of cuisine for your choosing. Next time you are in the area, we can direct you to a great vegan place. Thank you

"Quiet & spacious room next to Flushing Main St subway station"

Hanoverian1968, Hannover, Germany 29/04/2019

We had a spacious room with two large double beds which were very comfortable (mattrasses manifestly of recent vintage) on the seventh floor. The room was clean and the room service was professional, flexible (we slept in the first night), and very good. The hotel has a modern elevator. Breakfast is served on the groundfloor and offers basic breakfast foods (the coffee is freshly brewed in a maker and very good). - Whilst the hotel - like all the hotels in that area - in the air corridor approaches to LaGuardia Int'l Airport, we thought the windows provided very good insulation against the noise and had no problems getting sleep. Overall, for a central New York area hotel, we thought this was a hotel that offered a very good price-quality ratio and would definitely consider returning there (especially if in case affordable locations in Manhatten are not available).

This hotel with super. We enjoyed our time in New York in this hotel. Room was very big compared to most of the rooms in Manhatten area. Very near to Metro station and main bus station. 5 min walking. Area is safe. Very live. Lots of Chinese shops there. Very nice sky dive shopping malls very near to the hotel gives good offers. Breakfast is great. Quality of items is fresh and great and it is re filled every 30 min. Staff is very kind and very friendly. House keeping is very responsive. Excellent and very fast check in with May. Our room was super no 601. Very warm check out with Excellent luggage care and offering help for taxi or shuttle bus to airport or even car rental from FAINY. Thanks FAINY and MAY very much. Really appreciated. Definitely we will come again in our next visit to New York. Very recomnded. You will not regret it.

This hotel is in a great spot in Flushing. It is very close to several fantastic restaurants and an easy walk to the subway/LIRR/bus. Our room was clean and quiet, and the staff was very helpful. The beds were comfortable and the shower was very good. The breakfast was bland, but easy and fresh (my family loved the Chinese buns for breakfast.) This one will be first on my list to stay at in Flushing.

Great hotel in Flushing Chinatown. Two blocks from #7 subway. Many restaurants in the area. This hotel is my first choice when I visit NYC. Secure parking at a private lot for $15 per day with in and out "privileges" - a bargin in NYC.

This hotel is located in a part of Manhattan that is congested and has no parking. I had to pay $75 for the parking for my 3 night stay. My room had roaches. I was really dissatisfied, I had to go out and purchases cleaner to wipe down the place. My room smelled of cigarettes and I had to burn a candle (scented) and then finally incense to get rid of the smell .

Had a great experience at this best Western in Flushing New York. Though perhaps not as large or swanky-looking on the outside as neighboring hotels, the cleanliness of the room, room size and comfortable beds makes this a hotel I would definitely recommend to others and stay at again! I attended the area for a conference nearby and am glad I saved a lot of money by staying here. Front desk staff was helpful friendly and accommodating. With just a few rooms on each floor it almost felt boutique-y. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the room! The only hiccup was that we returned late in the day (4p) to find our beds not yet made after we'd been away all day, but with a quick phone call things were made right. Great location with good restaurants near for dining in or out. We parked for 25$/day next to the Sheraton in a garage which was fine. Breakfast is free and there were steamed buns, yogurt, coffee from a machine- maybe not the best but it's there, and other items. Nice staff and great overall experience! Comfy comfy beds with many pillows too!

This hotel is located in Flushing near the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and was a great location for our recent trip to NYC and the US Open. The rooms are on the small side, but tidy, clean and quiet. The hotel staff was always helpful and very friendly. There is no laundry service onsite, but we found a laundromat within a few blocks. The subway is just a block away and the Long Island Railroad is about two blocks away -- very convenient for getting around. The hotel is also near LaGuardia Airport and you can take the Q48 bus route to/from Terminal B, almost door to door for a couple of bucks. Free breakfast was somewhat disappointing, but included basic staples like coffee, bagels, pancakes, cereal, hard boiled eggs and yogurt. There are several great pastry/coffee shops and Asian restaurants all within a short walk from the hotel. The price was reasonable for NYC and the value of our stay was very good.

t0mmyp77, Portsmouth, New Hampshire 08/09/2018

Amazing!!! easy walk to the Open(which is why I'm there). Fanny at the Front Desk is incredible!!! She(& Manager Frank) helped me out HUGE both this year & last. i got scammed by the booking site i used last year & drove from NH to the Hotel, only to find that there were 2 rooms in my name, but neither were paid for(although i DID already pay for the 1 i needed). they clearly could see i was in panic mode, as my credit card was on freeze due to suspicious activity in another country(due the to the travel site i used). they helped me sort it all out & in time for me to be able to relax for a bit before heading over to The Open for the night. and this year, they both recognized me from the last few years & Fanny especially was so friendly & welcoming! it's a nice feeling to be kind of a "regular" at a place that you only go to once a year. She got me in early & kindly printed out the Open schedule each day(for free). The other staff i dealt with were equally nice & helpful as well. and parking, considering the city, perfect! there's a LAZ garage right across the street. it's only $25 a day & safe/secure underground. it's technically on Roosevelt, but there's an elevator that takes you to the street level & you're looking right at the hotel. perfect! the hotel technically has 3 spots right out front for the same price, but those aren't always available. however, the hotel will give you an easy map to go around the block to get into the parking garage. rooms have always been clean, & because Fanny knows i drive all the way down from NH, she always gives me a quiet room away from the rest(bonus). i always find hotels a means to an end, in the sense that i'm there to do something else(in my case, the US Open). so i just need a quiet, comfortable place to crash in between my adventures in awesomeness w/good people there to help me out if needed & the Best Western Queens Court Hotel(w/Fanny & Frank) is definitely that!!!!

Good hotel to stay for the US Open. 1 subway stop to the tennis center and the Flushing subway stop is around the corner from the hotel. The hotel is in Chinatown so lots of Chinese restaurants here. Hotel has ESPN and ESPN2 so you can watch the tennis on TV too. And there is free breakfast.

"Great spot for USOpen visit"

4
User 03/09/2018

The location was great for our trip to the USOpen, about a mile walk to the tennis center. The room was comfortable and clean. And being in Chinatown area provided easy access to shopping and eating. The only thing missing for what we wanted was onsite parking, but we found a lot about a block away.

"Stay away from the breakfast room!"

User 01/09/2018

Located in Chinatown, close to the Billie Jean King Tennis Center, that's the only reason to stay here. The free breakfast is a joke, the internet is so slow you won't use it. The check in process is unbelievably slow.

"Good value for money"

Good price-benefit. The hotel is clean at the same time nothing special, but relatively cheap for NYC standards. Midst Chinatown in Queens. Unlike NYC standards there's cheap parking space on the streets.

Love the cleanliness of the room. Overall was really comfortable! The staff at checkout was really efficient, nice and friendly. Room amenities were great like fridge was provided (i stayed in their other rooms before and there wasn't any and this time when i had it, there was left over rice in their from previous staying customer...), cable tv was great, bathroom was spacious.

We had 3 rooms here for a 30 day stay. Steven the manager was AWESOME in making sure that any request or need we had was met. His front staff on all shifts and all days were always pleasant and brightened your day with a smile. Our rooms were always clean and the beds slept very well. The cleaning staff I only met a few times but they too were always pleasant and smiling. They have a restaurant on site. I never ate there, but it was always busy. The motel location is great. I few minutes walk to Main Street, Shopping Malls and subway. Would stay again!

Close from the subway station (7). Safe neighbourhood no matter what time you arrive, always vibrant, full of people walking. Duane reade next to the station, very convenient when arriving from manhattan. Skyview shopping complex with target, old navy, marshalls, applebees close by as well. When you leave the subway station to the street it is kind of dirty and crowded but I like it better than a desert place at night that makes me feel insecure. During the weekends when the subway schedule gets crazy we had no problem since Flushing is huge chinese community and the only train that goes there is the 7 train. So 7 train is always operational from grand central or times square. Good breakfast (yogurt, pancake, bagel, toaster, juices, mil, cereal). The only drawback (not hotels fault) is that once you leave to manhathan dont expect going to the hotel many times a day. It takes 1:30 trip. If you take the express train can be faster.

"One day in Little Asia"

4
User 31/07/2018

Located in a predominately Asian section of Flushing, the hotel was nice enough, the staff was friendly and helpful. Bed and bathroom were very clean. Room was very quiet. The breakfast was adequate but the breakfast room was kind of small. I ended up taking my breakfast back to my room to eat which was fine. The only drawback was our room was missing our smoke detector, wires were dangling from hole in ceiling, luckily there were no fires that night. Keeping my fingers crossed that our room was the exception! Lots of restaurants and markets within steps of hotel, the food was terrific where we dined close by.

This is an awesome hotel outside of downtown NY. Our family is traveling out East for 2 weeks and this was the best Best Western we stayed at. It was in a community that we had never experienced before but glad we did. It is in walking distance to subway station. It is on the end of the line, but subway was the way to go to get into NY. The hotel uses a parking garage, that was nice to know our car was in a secure garage and we didn't have to keep it on the street. The restaurant choices were amazing. On the day of our checkout, we wanted to go back into NY, they kept our luggage for us until we were ready to leave. Wonderful and helpful staff!!

this hotel is in the Queens Chinatown so there's lots of AUTHENTIC Asian dining options. we actually skipped the hotel's free breakfast and went for some traditional Chinese food for that meal too. the hotel does not offer parking, but there are several garages less than 1 block away. the last stop on the #7 subway is 2 short blocks from the hotel so getting into Manhattan (or to Citi Field in our case) is quite easy. the room was fine, beds comfortable (a little stiffer than usual which we like). internet worked well. there's a fridge, but no microwave. we didn't use the TV.

Jenny P, Epping 18/07/2018

We recently spent a night at this hotel as we were in transit from Europe to Australia via NYC and this hotel seemed to be located centrally and not too far from La Guardia airport. The experience was very disappointing. My particular concern were the dirty sheets. When we went to go to bed there were stains on the sheets. I rang down to reception and asked for them to come an put clean sheets on the bed, when housekeeping arrived to do it he appeared not to speak English. He rang down to reception and spoke in Chinese to whoever was on the desk who then wished to speak to me and tell me the sheets were not dirty but they had just used too much bleach. As someone who does the washing I know that too much bleach doesn't cause the sort of stains that were on the sheets!! There was no apology, they really didn't care. To make matters worse I had organised for a parcel to be delivered to the hotel a few days prior to our check in. Because the parcel was in my name not my husbands they would not accept it and it was sent back. Our surname is the same so I cannot understand why they didn't just check that against the parcel delivery. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of other options in the vicinty.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Jenny: I am sorry to hear about your stay. Our rooms are checked thoroughly before we allow our guests to stay in the rooms. I will definitely look into the matter. The parcel is standard policy. We do not accept packages even if the surname is the same. Take my last name for example, Chen. How many people have that last name and we cannot afford to make those mistakes. If you sent an email about the parcel and the name change we would have logged that and gladly accept the parcel. We hope you understand and allow us to serve you again Thank you Sincerely, Frank C

My family made an overnight trip to Flushing, NY to visit our friends and stayed at Best Western Queens Court Hotel. The hotel is clean and at a very convenient location. Good value for the price. The staff is very helpful, especially the one at the lobby counter whose name is Fannie. She was fantastic in helping us to check-in and check-out; giving many pointers in where are the good places to eat and shop; helping us with luggage and many others. "A Week in Flushing, N.Y."

2
Jerry W, Plano, Texas 13/04/2018

The hotel is located in a Chinese community in Flushing, N.Y. All the employees were Chinese but they spoke English also. There was a hotel restaurant but I did not try any of the food because I questioned the quality of food and service. They are open only in the evenings and the number of people I observed eating therefor the week could be counted on the joints of three fingers. However, there were plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood one can go to. The rooms were small for the price but clean. There were no microwaves and refrigerators in the room. The cooling/heating unit worked and we were comfortable while in the room. The hotel staff was neutral toward the guests. There was a complimentary breakfast between 7 AM and 10 AM. They had cold cereal, bread, roast pork buns, fruits and a pan cake maker. There were no proteins available for breakfast. There was a juice maker that dispensed only orange juice. The other choices dispensed only water. All the other hotels I've stayed at had coffee and hot water available 24 hours. The hotel did not. They also did not have a toilet on the lobby floor. The location of the hotel is pretty good. There was mass transit available nearby and the Flushing to Times Square subway line was near by. It was easy to get around. If you are flying in and want to stay in the hotel area, I would recommend you fly into LGA. The Q 48 bus stops at all the terminals and ends on Main Street in Flushing near the hotel. The fare is $2.75. You can also purchase mass transit tickets all the subway stops.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Jerry: Thank you for your review. I am wondering why you gave the hotel only 2 stars. Was it for the area or for the hotel itself? It sounded like you experienced everything the hotel and the area has to offer. I did not hear complaints to warrant 2 stars I hope you allow us to show you the 5 star service we are accustom to giving. Please let me know the next time you are in the area. Thank you Sincerely, Frank C.

In addition to the hotel not have the two main items I listed in my search, a hotel shuttle to LGA and a hot tub/spa (so disappointed) this hotel is not kept clean and has some issues with noise and lack of quality and supply of linens/pillows. Sheets had not been changed from previous tenant. YUK!

Hi Teresa: We never list that we have a shuttle service to LaGuardia airport or a spa. Also I am shocked to hear about the cleanliness of the room. We inspect our rooms daily to make sure each room is up to standards before our guests check in We hope you allow us another chance to show you what the hotel really has to offer and the great customer service we are use to giving Thank you Frank C

Few breakfast options, broken coffee machine, tiny room, bed not super comfortable, wouldn't give out the welcome bags the bride made for the guests staying in her room block. Overall nothing special.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi mbjohn: I am sorry to hear that you had an inconvenient experience here at the hotel. We are in the process of a renovation to the entire hotel and I hope you come back to see what we are doing Thank you Sincerely, Frank C.

"They charge you for everything"

1
LeeRyder, Pittsfield, Massachusetts 08/10/2017

This place is awful, when asking for help to find a local restaurant be told they're not allowed to. They don't speak English very well. They will charge you for amenities offered..EVERY SINGLE ONE the coffee machine is often on the fritz, if they say they'll help you with something it will be when they feel like it. The decor is dated and old the rooms smell horribly like mildew and the halls are hot and smell like old cigarettes. They do not refill at breakfast what you get is what you get so if they are out of something you have to wait till the next day. The machines don't work 90 percent of the time and the lighting in the room doesn't work. This hotel is very dated and doesn't offer the things they say.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi LeeRyder: I am sorry to hear about your experience. It surprises me to hear all these complaints. I will definitely look into each one of these items. I can assure you though, the staff if here to help and assist you in any way. Our purpose is to make sure we can help navigate our guests to whatever they need assistance with. My apologies if their english is not as good as others but we believe that what hey lack in grammar they make up for in hospitality. I hope you allow us the opportunity to show you what we can truley offer our guests. Thank you Sincerely, Frank

Located in predominantly Chinese occupied area. Location is excellent within 4 minutes of subway. We went to Flushing for US Open Tennis and all hotel prices were markedly increased in view of this event. At other times, this hotel may be a good value for money.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Fakhruddins: I am glad you enjoyed the area. It is true the area is predominently asian but there are many things of different cultures to do around here. Next time you are coming into the area, please give the hotel a call directly and we can help you find the best rate we have during that time Thank you Frank

"Just good enough for a one night stay"

Ed_Kal99, North Attleboro, Massachusetts 03/09/2017

We were in the area for the U.S. Tennis Open. This hotel is about a mile and a half from the tennis grounds or Citi Field. Walkable in less than 30 minutes or you can take the train one stop. Parking is at LAZ parking one street over. There is almost no parking on the street in front of the hotel, even for a minute to check in. Another note, the hotel is in the China Town area of Flushing and most for the restaurants and stores in the area reflect that. If you need to find a restaurant with spaghetti or chicken fingers for the kids, it may take a little effort. We drove about 7 miles to an Italian restaurant and driving in Flushing / Queens is a nightmare. The hotel itself is serviceable and not much more. Rooms were a good size and very clean. But furnishings were worn. The chest of drawers had a broken handle, our toilet always needed a little jiggling to get it to stop. While we had a nice big flat screen tv. The Direct cable service was a disaster. Our remote did not work - could not go up and down on channels and it took us a half hour to find the tennis on ESPN. Also on a rainy night there were a lot of problems with the picture. Free WIFI, but we did not use it. We had two full size beds (not queens) that were comfortable. Our room was on the third floor on the street, so there some some street noise at night. When we arrived we had to initial the page stating "no smoking" but our room had a faint smell of smoking, so this policy may not be too old. Breakfast was included and not special. Breads, bagels, cereals. A pancake making machine. As mentioned parking was a block away and cost $25 per day. Overnight we paid $18. One night cost $251 with all taxes and perhaps a little higher than normal due to the tennis. Oddly, they charged my credit card for the full amount on arrival. Can't remember any hotel doing that in recent memory. No mini bar or extras to buy. While this was okay for one night, if we come back next year for the tennis, I would look into the Hyatt across the street that seems to have its own parking.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Ed Thank you for your review. Flushing is known as the second Chinatown with its vast asian community. There are so many reataurants with different types of cuisines to choose from. I hoped you asked my staff for recommendations. They would have given you great suggestions for Italian We really hope you consider us again when you return to the area. We will make sure to find you a parking spot around the hotel Sincerely Frank

"Hotel price should be lower"

User 16/08/2017

We recently stayed in this hotel because it the nearest hotel for our pick up point for our tour with Niagara Take Tours. It is about 2 blocks away where the pick up point. Hotel wise it's comfortable. Beddings and toilet were clean. Theres a couple of issue with the toilet but its bareable (exhaust fan was open and you can see build up dust). It was summer so we need to keep the aircon on but at the middle of the night I felt warm and when I check the aircon automatically shuts down. Hotel offered good breakfast, a variety of western to chinese breakfast. Because we have early checkout on our first stay, we didn't get a chance for breakfast. We did asked for early breaky but they serve it by 7am. So better asked the reception if they have something for pack breakfast (water and a couple of fruits) they will actually prepare it for upon checkout. Talking about the area you can never go hungry a varieties of fast food in Main Street and surrounded by chinese restaurants. Transportation is accessible, there's Flushing Train Station that would take you to Manhattan and its about 10mins walk. Taking Uber from hotel to TimeSquare would cost you $48.00 depending on the traffic.

Hi Erol: Thank you for your recent review. I will definitely have my maintenance department take a look at the issues you described. Hotel is very old. Musty dirty smell in he room. Carpet is gross to walk on probably has never been replaced. Mattress is the cheapest matteres you can buy and is worn out. Two power outlets in the room. The outlet in bathroom broken. Don't waste your money on this hotel.

"Nice hotel, congested location, sloooow check-in"

4
John H, Baltimore 04/08/2017

The hotel was nice enough. Beds were comfy, it was quiet. There was construction next door so it was a little tough maneuvering around the immediate area. Parked at a different hotel's garage across the street, as the BW staff recommended. Only real complaint was the amount of time we had to wait in line to check in. It was 4 pm on a Saturday so they should've expected to be busy. Instead, there was only one woman working and she was very slow. Friendly and professional, but still slow. It took 30 minutes for us to get checked in.

"Stink"

2
Charla S, Kentville, Canada 02/08/2017

Struggling to even find the words to describe our room at this hotel. The carpet was filthy, scared to walk barefoot on the floors. We had a smoking room (not our preference) and the room STANK!!! It was like a wave of stale fumes when you opened the door. Horrendous. First night coming back to the room after being to a ball game, there were plain clothed police men hanging out in the hallway two room doors down. The next morning when we came out of the room there were two armed uniformed police officers guarding the room. Our bathroom ceiling fixture looked like at some point it had caught on fire and was melted and black. The breakfast buffet served dim sum, bagels, cereal, pound cake, breakfast sandwiches that you could heat up, assorted fruit, fresh made pancakes, coffee, juice.... The front desk arranged for a 3am taxi for us which was helpful. When leaving the room found a pair of socks by the bed that didn't belong to us so again made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned after the last occupants. Overall, very glad to get out of this hotel.

Frank C, General Manager at Best Western Queens Court Hotel, responded to this review
Hi Charla: I apologize if you experienced any inconvenience during your stay. This is not the type of service and standards we deliver to our guests. I will most certainly take a look into this matter. The next time you are in the area, please give us another try and we will make sure to take great care of you Thank you and our sincere apologies. Clean. Friendly. Very urban setting. Be aware that they do not have their own parking facility. You must drive around the block. The garage costs $25 per 24 hours. I stayed there for its proximity to Citi Bank Field (20 minute easy walk)

"Not good"

1
Greg S, Boston, Massachusetts 01/08/2017

Check in process was horrendous and employee was rude. She would stop attending to the person at the desk and take phone calls constantly. Waited 20 minutes to check in and had to come back for key as room was not ready. Waited another 45 minutes when I returned to pick up my key. This type of onerous process is unacceptable - not sure if it was the employee being slow or the system she was using being clunky. This experience reflects poorly on the Best Western brand.

"Everything but the pool -no complaints."

5
PickInCT, Hartford, Connecticut 17/07/2017

I loved the location, but even more I loved the price. Everyone here was nice, clean and professional. Close by to parking and coffee shops. All it's missing is a pool and a hotel shuttle service. Their continental breakfast had many choices: Sausage Bun(dim sum), Coffee, Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, Bagels w/ Cr. Cheese, Pancakes, Pound Cake, Muffins, Heat-n-eat egg sandwiches, Apple, Orange, Banana - and I'm surely forgetting something. They don't currently have a BAR but it seems they're in the process of building one. Which was ok, because you can walk to one.

"Short Stay - Learned Flushing-Queens District, NYC"

4
RayWoo, Fort Worth, Texas 23/06/2017

Great learning experience - learning about Flushing-Queen district around Main Street, Roosevelt Boulevard and the Northern Boulevard area where the so-called "New Chinatown" (looks like something from San Francisco or Toronto-Vancouver, Canada) is located. Took the convenient #7 subway train to midtown Manhattan without issue or hassles. Great dining experience - scrumptious Chinese food, priced competitively, much like California, but with a novel atmosphere like Hong Kong. All in all, very happy with our stay in NYC.

This is a great place to stay in Flushing. Good value, comfy rooms with free HBO and WiFi. Lots of Chinese restaurants nearby, the only problem was deciding which one to go to. There is also convenient shopping nearby as well the 7 train which will take you straight into the city.

Only advantage is you can pick your morning tours from Asian Jewels restaurant. Location is the only good thing about this restaurant and nothing else. They won't allow outside food to get delivered at reception.

"Transferred booking"

1
Christina20611, Scranton, Pennsylvania 17/05/2017

We were transferred from our original hotel because they were overbooked. We asked if there was available parking or valet parking and was told there was valet. When we arrived there at1230 AM we were told that there was no valet parking and we would have to park a block away in a private lot and pay an additional $30.00. Then we were told that they wanted to know how we were going to pay, It was previously set up by the first hotel that the payment would be transferred to them. I was asked twice for the payment. The staff seemed indifferent to our situation and asked for an additional amount of money for the room. The staff finally conceited that payment was made by the previous company. We had to park a block away and walk back to this hotel. The service by the check in staff was terrible, the room was barely cleaned and smelled of smoke. We are non smokers. When we checked out and went to retrieve our car, we found that it had been booted. We had to explain the situation to the parking company to have them release our vehicle. In summary, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a tiring and exasperating experience for all of us.

This hotel is located right to the subway station, Flushing. Easy to access to Manhattan. Here have China town, Chinese tradition market and a lot of restaurant....etc. It's convenient location. The hotel room is small but neat, the rate is also reasonable.

"19 movie channels"

LodgerFromChicago, Chicago 29/04/2017

Of the 4 budget properties that I've stayed at in Flushing, this is my new favorite. I have also visited the YMCA, the more expensive yet dry Marco, and free-toothbrush Asiatic. Judy was very personable at the Best Western check-in. I was assigned one of the 4 cellar rooms, and LOVED IT. It was very quiet. A quiet night is a great feature. The TV had a solid mix of 19 movie channels: HBO, Cinemax, Sundance. I stayed 8 nights. Comfy bed and excellent hot shower. The hotel is a short walk to the 7 subway. There are yummy nearby eateries on Prince Street. There are fancier hotels at the same corner: a Hyatt Place and Sheraton. The free breakfast was very good, even though the coffee machine often had to replenish itself with water, and sometimes one of the 3 juice choices also needed replenished. Hot chocolate, mocha, and coffee. Juices: orange, apple, cranberry. Daily there was bananas, apples, and oranges. Steamed Chinese buns were kept in a hot dog machine. Both Activia and Yoplait Lite yogurts, instant oatmeal, and microwavable Jimmy Dean sausage-egg sandwiches. A few guests took advantage of the pancake machine. Hard boiled eggs. A selection of breads. At one time, it looks like the cellar hosted a bar: The lower level is now used for storage.

"Do not stay here"

1
User 23/04/2017

This is the worst best western i have ever stayed at. The service was Terrible. There were only 2 cups in the room so I went to get cups from the breakfast room at 6.57 am and i was been told that i had to wait for 7.00 am to get the cups as the breakfast will start at 7.00am, when i told the front desk agent i just want cups he acted like i had asked him for his life. DO NOT STAY HERE.

BinLim, Manila, Philippines 23/04/2017

We stayed at Best Western Queens Court in Flushing, New York last September 2016 because of its location. We were joining an escorted tour and one of the pick up locations is opposite this hotel. The hotel is in the heart of chinatown, and I loved it! There are many restaurants, supermarket, laundromat and shops nearby. Train station going to Manhattan is very accessible and convenient. The neighbourhood is safe. La Guardia is 15-20 minutes by car. Hotel needs to improve its services and cleanliness. Hotel has free wifi. Breakfast was okay. I recommend this hotel for a layover or 2 nights stay.

The best economical hotel to stay in Flushing in my opinion. Walking distance to the best authentic Chinese and Korean cuisine North America has to offer. Also close to Citi field and subway to Manhattan. Staff is very friendly but parking is limited to 3 cars at $22.00 a night. Need to find other parking lots if you have your own car but this is typical for any downtown NY hotels.I always stay here if I am working in Queens or vicinity.

very good price for NYC, clean, good-sized rooms with bathtub, located near bus stop direct to LaGuardia and subway to Times Square (20 minutes via express subway, 35 minutes otherwise, express doesn't run on weekends), adequate breakfast, located in very safe Chinatown district, highly recommend overall

Good area, Queens China Town, employees seem very nice except for the lady at front desk and her employee. Rooms were nice and the beds are comfortable. Katherine L, Toronto 27/10/2016

I got this hotel for 2 nights. I got a very good deal on the price. I found the room and bed to both be clean and acceptable. The bed was a bit uncomfortable for sleeping, but otherwise everything was good. Cleanliness is a top priority for me when I travel. This hotel has that. It doesn't have a lot of other things I have come to expect when travelling such as a room safe and fridge. On that I was a little disappointed. For the price point it should have those things. Please keep in mind I slept in the bed prior to taking the pictures.

"Overpriced for a below average hotel"

2
ORDnHKG, CHICAGO 13/10/2016

If it is not about I have a $50 BW gift card from the BW summer promotion, I would have stayed at the Quality Inn just behind the BW. Lobby was unusually dark (saving on electric bills perhaps ?) Front desk older Chinese woman wasn't rude, but she wasn't friendly either, no greetings no smile, she is meant to work as a OL in an office rather than in a hotel facing people. I was giving just one room key, no room key card holder, she just put a sticker with my room number on the key card, and another sticker with a bunch of numbers presumably that's the password for wifi, really tacky (saving on key card holders ? but really how much would that cost ?) Room is on the small side, but it seems like judging from the fire escape path map, the rooms that are facing the street are bigger. The furnishing seems old compare to the Quality Inn behind the BW. Wifi had a really weak signal to simply non-existing, until I read through the hotel property guide in the drawer, I should connect to the network on my floor instead of any network from BW, as it mentioned there are routers at each floor, each router use a different network, once I switched to that then suddenly I get a good signal, I don't understand why they would hide this information ? Some poster mentioned there is Asian selection for breakfast, well the only thing Asian I can see are just two kinds of bun in a hot dog steamer, vegetable buns and barbecue pork buns. I pick a few so that I can try both but seems like they are just all barbecue pork buns, and they were quite bland. Other than that, they have a pancake machine instead of a waffle machine that you usually see in other 2 stars hotel, and Jimmy Dean's frozen sausage egg and cheese croissant. There was a Chinese guy doing some restocking at the breakfast area, he just starred at me point blank then walk away, no greetings no good morning nothing, just exactly like the woman at check in the day before. The particular person also checked me out when I leave the hotel, I wonder if he is the manager, if he is then I understand why their customer service is so low. All in all, I would never come back to this hotel, if I come back to this area, I would definitely go back to the Quality Inn just behind the BW, not to mention it seems like Quality is cheaper than BW as well. (BW was charging $143 a night vs Quality was charging $123 a night for my stay, not to mention if you want to print something out from the BW hotel computer next to the front desk, they charge $0.25 per page, absolutely ridiculous !!!)

Bravo to the staff of the said facility. If you could stray breakfast bit earlier say at 6:30am, it woule be much better. This is for some guests who need to go for a bus tour and need to leave the hotel earlier than your breakfast time starts. Also, if you have spare storage room/s for guests to store their secondary or tertiary luggages and need not to carry with them to the travel bus tour...that would be perfectly awesome! Thank you very much for listening to our feedbacks.

Unfriendly hotel reception. Shows typical do not care attitude from Asians. Dopes not reflect well for Best Western group of hotels. Was charged USD244 when I had been confirmed for USD202, which is mentioned in the invoice.

This hotel is located very close to the subway in Flushing with easy access to the line to Manhattan. Rooms are clean but not large. Beds are comfortable. The tours to Niagara, Boston and Washington DC start from very near the hotel and was very convenient for the family. The hotel however does not have the facility to keep your luggage overnight. If you are on the bus tour trips you would need to lug your luggage around in the tour bus. Hotel near all Chinese restaurants and with lot of options for shopping too. The staff were helpful and the continental breakfast was nice.though no vegetarian options. I did have a problem with a billing where I was charged higher than the online booking amount, but the front office staff had it sorted out and arranged for a refund of the excess amount. Definitely worth returning.

This hotel is centrally located in Flushing with easy access to the subway station. Although parking is not included with the room, it is available nearby. The hotel caters to the Korean communitee offering ethnic breakfast specialties that are delicious. Staff is helpful and courteous. The surrounding are offers a wealth of Korean and Chinese restaurants and bakeries Rooms are clean. Ours was not large, but adequate. There was no refridgerator in the room, but there was plenty of ice available. We will definitely return.

Very nice and reasonably priced. The hotel is clean and well run with a very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and we had no trouble sleeping depsite all the bustling activity just outside. We found this to be a great location for shopping and dining in downtown Flushing and it was an easy walk or subway ride to Citi Field and Flushing Meadows park. There is plenty of off street parking with a block of the hotel.

Zhigang X, China 22/06/2016

Hotel near all Chinese restaurants and shops. The restaurants in Flushing are all so good, all my friends on east coast come here for the food and shopping. Hotel is nice, clean, our room had a King size bed in it and the room was clean and roomy. Free Wifi, breakfast and HBO, there was Chinese programming also. If you need to go into town, the subway is only a short 2 blocks away. The subway has Express trains in rush hour times, and can conveniently take you directly to the new station right outside Javits Convention Center.

The hotel is not bad. The rooms were almost clean though I had to request for replacement of coffeemaker which seemed dirty. The Chinese lady at the front desk was very rude! Though our room was ready, she first said it wasn't and after protesting, we got a room. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Hotel has good size rooms for New York, is clean and affordable. It is also very convenient, close to No. 7 Subway train. Tons of restaurants in the area, some very good shopping places as well. Dim sum at Asian Jewels restaurant is very good, just 50 meters away. I didn't drive, but because this is a busy and popular area, that may be an issue.

Best Western was a last minute ditch effort from my side to get a place in New York and I was glad that it turned out to be a good choice, especially with my family being there. Firstly from location perspective it is very close to local market, subway station and bus stops. This is right in the middle of Chinatown. Although very close by you also have Indian temples. We did not have food or breakfast at the hotel. Nothing wrong with food, it's just that when you have a traditional Indian family, you are not very comfortable with the Asian cuisine options. So not much to add there. However we did have a lot of Indian joints and Burger King in close vicinity. The staff was polite in every possible way, including their manager. They were very helpful to say the least and helped us out with a couple of odd situations. The tours to Niagara and Washington DC start from exactly opposite side of the hotel. So it was a very convenient option. Rooms were very clean and size of beds in double room is quite good. Loved the way we were treated at the hotel. If I am ever back in New York again, I know where to stay.

The hotel room was satisfactory, including the Wi-fi connection. When I arrived, I was quite surprised to find no parking lot or parking garage available. I had to walk about a block and park at a Sheraton Hotel. You'd think there would have been some concession for the parking, but none was offered. I had not considered any other hotel chain. I like Best Western but this was not the best of the chain.

"Clean, no-frills hotel"

This is a clean hotel and a good place to rest. Given the location, it is a good deal and also compared to other hotels in the location, it is comparatively clean. This is listed 3 star, but I would not go that far in terms of rating. And it is definitely not a resort. It is dated and bathrooms need refurbishment, but for a night or two stay while you go around the city, this is more than perfect. It is at a convenient location and a mecca of great Chinese/Cantonese/Asian/street food one can find.

"Very nice! Perfect for out of town NY Mets fans! "

My husband and were in Queens for the Mets game. This hotel is perfect! Less than a mile from the stadium. We had a queen bed in a non smoking room. Room was small but we literally only slept in there since we were out and about and at the game all night. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly! We would definitely stay here again. There is no parking at the hotel but there are two parking garages within a block.

"Rude front desk receiptionist"

Rooms are pretty clean but there is no fridge in it. The plug on desk didnt work. Front desk receptionist, name Judy, is very RUDE!! VERY UNFRIENDLY. I was talking to my sister in front of the door for 30 seconds and the receptionist was telling to get out of the door because it is too cold for her. What a rude way to speak to a hotel customer!!!

"Nice place to stay"

Was in New York for a family thing, and booked this hotel in Flushing on recommendations from family. nice and comfortable rooms, free premium and Chinese channels. Also, we liked that its very close to the subway, which we used to go into the city for some site-seeing. I would definitely stay here again.

"Great location."

Good location near subway station where you have access to a lot of things. A lot of great Chinese restaurants in the area to get some awesome food, some are open very late into the evening. Flushing is a bustling area and you can see that by the amount of people on Main Street, yet you can safely walk around late at night. The 2 double beds room that we got was larger than most that you find in NYC.

The room was small, but expect them to be in the New York area unless you are willing to pay a lot more. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Sink faucet broke off and swiveled loosely - needs repair. Otherwise bathroom was clean and hot water readily available. A/C worked well to keep the room at the right temperature. There is only one elevator that is quite quick so no waiting problem. Breakfast room at the back of the lobby is small with limited seating. Breakfast consisted of cereal, fruit, and breads and Chinese steamed buns. I only had a cup of coffee. There are plenty of places to eat in the surrounding Chinatown where you can get breakfast to late night supper. A few restaurants are open 24 hours. You won't go hungry in this neighborhood. There is no shuttle bus to LaGuardia Airport so you have to take a taxi or Q48 bus. Free WiFi available in room - typical free hotel WiFi speed. I was hesitant to book this hotel as it received lots of negative reviews a year ago. I found the staff to be polite and helpful during my stay, so there must have been some changes. Would stay here again due to the very convenient location and reasonable rates.

"Nice Hotel for the family"

Nice hotel for the family. The staff was friendly and nice. The double bed rooms are large and roomy. Very close to downtown Flushing. There are shops within 5 minutes walking distance of the hotel (ie. Target, Old Navy, Best Buys, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, Applebee, etc). Only 2 blocks to the #7 subway to Manhattan.

"The worst hotel I have been."

The place is unclean and food is not fresh. The manager is extremely rude. Very unprofessional. I would never go there again and told all my friends. It is not a bargain. Other newer hotels are much better. I saw flight attendants staying in a new hotel across the street called hyatt place.

"Scary Stay"

AMR4FUN, Caledon, Canada 02/01/2016

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is in a section of town that is not safe, the hotel is old with poor views, they have closed the bar and the management is very rude with poor comprehension of English.

"Suprised Check-in."

User 02/12/2015

The reason why I gave this a 2 star is because... I booked the room 1 week before checking in, and when I arrived at the hotel, they told me they overbooked and had no room for me. Normally I'd give one star, however they got me a room across the street at Comfort Inn. Now this gesture i would probably give 3 stars, but they proceed to tell me they lost money because the other hotel was charging like 20$~30$ more. This is why I am giving them a 2 star rating. It should not be my problem that they have to pay more to get me a room, nor should I hear about it. Still, it was nice enough for them to get me another room, and I don't have to worry about finding another place myself.

"Great Experience Again"

This is my second stay here. The hotel is in good condition, clean and maintained. There was some construction next door however only during the day and temporary. Having a good and free breakfast was an added value that got our day off right. All employees were friendly and courteous. One in particular was Judy L. at the front desk. She was professional and personable. After a long day Judy L. would always have a welcome home smile and attitude. The location was perfect having access to the subway or bus within a few minutes. Thanks again to the fine employees and of course Judy L.

I stayed here because the location was perfect and the price. Some reviews I read had said the hotel was old and smelly, and the staff not nice, maybe they fixed these issues, because it was great. The building is older, but it is in great condition. The staff was great, before they gave me my room, they checked to see if it was ready,, checking the condition etc..It was very clean too. The shampoo etc was great, not a cheap brand!! The area is safe too at night. The area is like China town , very vibrant and fun, lots of Asian influence. If you need to be in this area it is great

"Perfect choice!"

We did alot of research before booking this hotel and we are so happy to say that it was a perfect choice! The location is great, the staff is friendly and the hotel itself is beautiful with all the amenities you could ask for at this price. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly, attentive and polite which made our stay wonderful! We would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great stay in Flushing.

"An Excellent Hotel"

This hotels is not expensive and is wonderful and located in the flushing area of newyork and Times square can be reached in just 30 mins from Flushing Metro. Its is inexpensive and provides free breakfast which is plus. The Best hotel to stay if your are in newyork. We stayed here as the Pickup point for the 3-day tour to Niagara falls is just opposite to the hotel.

"Comfortable Hotel"

Mayra A M, Trujillo, Peru 25/10/2015

This hotel was comfortable, convenient location (two blocks from train 7 station) to take me to the city. It has the basics and that's good for me because I needed a place to get at night and sleep (I was mostly outside), and I found this hotel for a good price. The free breakfast was good too.

"They do not understand English!!!"

1
User 13/10/2015

I made this reservation to use my FREE NIGHT VOUCHER. This is specifically indicated on my reservation. When I checked in, I told them I'm using my FREE NIGHT VOUCHER and also gave them a hard copy of the voucher. When I checked out, I again asked them and the front desk person assured me that they will not be deducting points and instead use the FREE NIGHT VOUCHER. When I login in to my account today, I see that 28,000 points have been deducted and now I've to get this sorted out because no one at the hotel can understand English....PATHETIC!

"Good Stay"

I was in this hotel with my wife for three nights. It was a nice time, nice environment full of Chinese. The only thing is that nearly all their staff were Chinese and some could not speak English making communication challenging.

"Don't judge this hotel till you stayed here!"

Xgerian, Singapore, null, Singapore 01/10/2015

Let's just start off by saying you get for what you pay for, not a luxury hotel but good enough, the rooms were clean everyday and best was the shower pressure in the bathroom so after a long day It was great to go back and take a shower. The distance from the subway is another plus point to this hotel. The surrounding area is filled with Asian eatery and American malls, so it's good place to stay in, so if you just need a hotel to put yr head down and rest your body it's good enough! Keep up the good job guys

"Nothing Special"

Nothing special about this hotel. I do not speak Chinese so there is a little problem with this location and communication in the area. I wouldn't stay here again unless this was the last place with available rooms.

"Reasonably priced hotel at the end of the 7-line from Manhattan."

Hockeyrink, Calgary, Alberta 28/09/2015

We had reserved a pair of rooms before the Pope announced he'd be in town for the UN General Assembly, so we did not get swept up in the Pope-tax that seemed to hit ALL the hotels in the greater NYC region. Fortunately, this meant we had a pretty accurate idea of how this hotel is based on it's price. It's decent. Solid. Not extraordinary, but pretty much clean and only a block over'n'up to the subway, which was the end-of-the-line for the #7 line from Manhattan. This is about a 35 minute local train ride (much quicker on express during rush hour), but the time allows you to enjoy the progression of housing quality from way-out to into Manhattan. It's definitely in a strong Asian neighborhood, so there was some good sushi and sweet pastry shops around the block. You're only a short block over/up to a Duane-Reide 24-hour pharmacy convenience store, so all amenities are near by. We spent most evenings across the street at the Hyatt or Sheraton where other associated enjoyed a staffed bar (nothing like that here), so it's a nice "poor-man's" accommodation in this area. The rooms are juuust big enough for the beds and walking space. It's not too small, and the beds were clean and comfortable. I had the opportunity to use the "Fitness Room" in the 2nd basement, and it's sufficient. A pair of multipurpose weight machines complement a bike and treadmill. Good enough to not allow me to bail out on my usual fitness routine due to lack of equipment. Wifi was ok, but not amazingly fast. Just sufficient to keep connected. The room could use a few more outlets, as I had to unplug the TV and coffee maker to power up my accessories. Wise to bring along a plug expander (forgot it this time-grr). The continental breakfast is the weak link here. Green bananas; marginally drinkable coffee; slim assortment of baked goods. We resorted to eating breakfast out every morning after nabbing a coffee in the breakfast room. They were nice enough to hold our bags after we checked out so we could explore Manhattan once more before our afternoon flight. Checkout process was a bit painful and prolonged (no auto-checkout?), but that's a minor issue. I'd definitely keep this on the list of places suitable for a home-base while out in the Flushing area on business, but grab some fruit of your own for breakfast.

"Better than I expected...sort of"

My flight at LaGuardia airport was cancelled last night so I needed to find a hotel close by. Everything in the immediate area was booked due to the U.S. Open, but one of my fellow passengers suggested I try the Best Western in Flushing. I called and was able to book a room at 9:30pm. The taxi fare from the airport to the hotel was only $17, and the trip only took 15 minutes. The hotel is in Flushing, which for you non-New Yorkers, is like China Town. (Actually, it's kind of cool and there is some great food in the area, but that was not the purpose of this particular trip.) Anyway, the hotel was clean and quiet and met my needs. Having said that, they did totally screw up my wake-up call, but I had my own alarm clock as a back-up so no harm done. Be aware -- this hotel is in the heart of a very ethnic Asian community and caters to Asians. There is a Hyatt Park Place across the street that is a more traditional business hotel, but also more expensive.
