We stayed at BW Etche Ona twice in the past year in preparation for our son's August wedding in Bordeaux. Both experiences surpassed all expectations - we absolutely recommend this property! While BW brand may conjur a roadside motel perception for long time US travelers, this Premier location is anything but that. The clean, updated hotel rooms and bathrooms are beautifully furnished and fully amenitized, beds and pillows found to be very comfortable, beautiful breakfast buffet, with a quiet, safe, central city location next to the Intercontinental Hotel and across from the Grand Theater with restaurants, shopping and sights so close by at a price that cannot be beat. The city's easy to use tram system is a block away and inexpensive tickets were purchased conveniently from the front desk. The front door entries at both buildings are unassuming so it took a minute to find. What impressed us also was the quality and friendliness of well trained staff from reception to housekeeping to concierge including the group services staff who helped reserve a block of rooms for wedding guests with prompt, courteous email communication. They even accepted advance deliveries and held them until our event (at a nearby chateau). We went on to travel elsewhere in France for another 14 days and nothing else compared in quality and price. Well done and we hope to be able to return some day!

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Bordeaux Sud, and a big part of that was thanks to the exceptional service we received from Manon, who was in charge during the day. We arrived earlier than the regular check-in time after a morning flight from Canada, travelling with our 2-year-old son. The hotel was incredibly accommodating and did everything they could to have our room ready as early as possible, which made a huge difference after a long journey with a toddler. Unfortunately, the following day, our little one became sick. The staff, and especially Manon, were incredibly kind and helpful. They made sure our room was cleaned promptly and provided us with extra towels and bed linens right away. Their understanding and willingness to help during what could have been a very difficult situation made our stay so much more manageable. Without their assistance, this part of our trip could have been quite stressful, but they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. We are truly grateful for their kindness and professionalism. The room itself was very clean and a great size by European standards. We had specifically booked a larger room, which was definitely worthwhile when travelling with a young child. We highly recommend the Best Western Bordeaux Sud, especially for families. A huge thank you to Manon and the entire team for making our stay such a positive experience! We would happily stay here again.

Lovely location, everything a short walk quiet easy parking in clean comfortable rooms with a good breakfast

I really like Best Western Hotels, and Best Western Hotel Le Bordeaux Sud felt like “home” from the moment I arrived. After a long drive through Spain and France, this was definitely the place to stay. The location is very convenient, just off the highway, with private and secure parking, while still being in a quiet area with no noticeable highway noise. I was welcomed very warmly, and the staff were extremely attentive despite my late check-in, which was almost midnight. It was much appreciated after such a long journey. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the WC/bathroom area was spotless. After a long day of driving, having a clean and comfortable room made the stay even better. In terms of amenities and customer care, everything was great and exactly what I have come to expect from other hotels in the same group. Those little details really make a difference when you're travelling. The breakfast selection was very good and more than enough to make me happy, with a nice presentation and great flavours. The riz au lait was particularly good! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and overall I felt the hotel offered excellent value for money. 5 out of 5 — I would definitely stay here again!

The bedding was good. However, the dinner and the breakfast were bad. In addition to be execrable, the dinner was expensive. I do not recommend this place!

Very nice hotell near the airport. Wonderful breakfast ond helpfull staf. Easy to take the tram to Bordeaux. Great value and no noice from the planes. We had 2 nights there and really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect spot for all that Bordeaux has to offer. Restaurants, shops and trams were steps away from this lovely hotel. Staff were wonderful and the room was a large size for a European adventure. The breakfast was plentiful with multiple selections for everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights . There were 8 of us in 4 rooms. On arrival , we found out that the rooftop terrace & bar were not open. Very disappointing...it would have been good to have been told this before we arrived. The breakfast room below ground smelled of damp. The small lounge area, had a complimentary hot drinks machine which didn't work some of the time. The room: positives:comfortable bed, good shower. Negatives: safe didn't work.informed the receptionist who shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know about it. Shutters on the balcony were tatty & needed TLC Luggage stand was broken Housekeeping on 2nd day was poor ( see photos )...very little had been done in the room. We booked this hotel largely due to its Best Western status. It fell far below the level of quality & service that we would expect.

Few hotels are completely perfect. This one comes close. As a practical matter,it is very comfortable, has a caring and capable staff, a fine restaurant, excellent rooms, a quiet location and ample pubic parking just across the street. The prices are quite reasonable for what is on offer. The breakast is good althougn not remarkable. The modern motel like rooms are behind the old facade, and readily accessible if you don't mind a few down and up steps and a short walk across an inner courtyard. The rainwtaer shower and good lighting in the bathroom are a plus, although a somewhat skimpy sink and no bathroom ceiling fan are minor annoyances. Paillac is a pleasnt although somewhat faded town. It is ideally located in the heart of many fine wine estates.Just under an hour drive from Bordeaux's airport, the left bank of the estuary eventually dead ends, but a ferry to Rohan takes you back to the core mainland without doubling back to Bordeaux.

We stayed here 3 adult family late Mar 26 .. and had a very wonderful stay thanks to the crew, quality of room n especially the buffet. Firstly the reception was very helpful, Ginnieve checked us in despite some booking issues; François Dubois was so helpful recommending winery visits on Sunday,n calling for potential horse rides.. Chanel was serving both breakfast n manning the reception and Evelyn who helmed breakfast was great.. all were so accommodating to us. Left us which such a warm experience n especially so since this was our first time in Bordeaux.. Lastly n most impressive was Manager Dimitri. He would be there to during breakfast and made special effort to make us all 3 comfortable with our special ordered coffee (2 long expresso shots with hot milk) and cut baguette to dip into soft boiled eggs n for us 3 Sporeans. Wow special n yummy! Made our stay so much more meaningful! The hotel is very well located with ample public open spaces just meters away from hotel. And breakfast was super!! Plus their Restuarant on site was very good n reasonable!! See the menu and picturea of food.. We tried for lunch n was v impressed. Additionally there's other nearby restaurants both local n a v nice Vietnamese food run by a homely family.. great beef pho especially for cold nights!! All in, will return n recommend others to Come!!
