Best Western Hotel Le Bordeaux Sud

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Bordeaux Sud, and a big part of that was thanks to the exceptional service we received from Manon, who was in charge during the day. We arrived earlier than the regular check-in time after a morning flight from Canada, travelling with our 2-year-old son. The hotel was incredibly accommodating and did everything they could to have our room ready as early as possible, which made a huge difference after a long journey with a toddler. Unfortunately, the following day, our little one became sick. The staff, and especially Manon, were incredibly kind and helpful. They made sure our room was cleaned promptly and provided us with extra towels and bed linens right away. Their understanding and willingness to help during what could have been a very difficult situation made our stay so much more manageable. Without their assistance, this part of our trip could have been quite stressful, but they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. We are truly grateful for their kindness and professionalism. The room itself was very clean and a great size by European standards. We had specifically booked a larger room, which was definitely worthwhile when travelling with a young child. We highly recommend the Best Western Bordeaux Sud, especially for families. A huge thank you to Manon and the entire team for making our stay such a positive experience! We would happily stay here again.

I really like Best Western Hotels, and Best Western Hotel Le Bordeaux Sud felt like “home” from the moment I arrived. After a long drive through Spain and France, this was definitely the place to stay. The location is very convenient, just off the highway, with private and secure parking, while still being in a quiet area with no noticeable highway noise. I was welcomed very warmly, and the staff were extremely attentive despite my late check-in, which was almost midnight. It was much appreciated after such a long journey. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the WC/bathroom area was spotless. After a long day of driving, having a clean and comfortable room made the stay even better. In terms of amenities and customer care, everything was great and exactly what I have come to expect from other hotels in the same group. Those little details really make a difference when you're travelling. The breakfast selection was very good and more than enough to make me happy, with a nice presentation and great flavours. The riz au lait was particularly good! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and overall I felt the hotel offered excellent value for money. 5 out of 5 — I would definitely stay here again!

The bedding was good. However, the dinner and the breakfast were bad. In addition to be execrable, the dinner was expensive. I do not recommend this place!

This location was perfect for our needs of city atmosphere and winery visits. The queen sized rooms are smaller than we expected, but when we spoke to Fanny, she upgraded us as Diamond members. We do enjoy Best Western for it's members privileges, but this one was so much better. Fanny made this visit the best with her kind spirit and incredible attitude. The value that we got here far exceeded the others that we've had on this trip so far. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable with great pillows. Our sleep was uninterrupted as this place is very quiet!

Rare case of hotel deserving more stars. Easily as good as our 4* stays in St Jean, San Sebastian, etc but under half the price. Helpful front staff, directly across from a grocery store and a discount goods store (luggage, batteries, etc).

Satisfied guests👍. Good stopover location off A63 UK -Spain travel. (But our car sat-nav gave different name “comfort hotel?) Gated car park not big, spaces at back. Hôtel opposite 2 shops. Area looks ok. Check in & out v good. Price value good. Didn't have breakfast, expensive €14. On-site restaurant good food. Fair prices. Service excellent. 2 glasses wine, bread, 1 starter, 2 side salads, 2 main = €58 Beef Parmentier (cottage pie) good. Dish of the Day Veal not so good👎 Think booked Superior as only 1 room left. Spacious. Slept well in big comfortable bed. V quite in & outside hotel. TV. Mini fridge. Coffee & tea making. Nice looking sofa-bed with coffee table for extra comfort. Coded safe. Excellent walk-in shower with on/off heater rad & turbo button to get rid of condensation. Bar/lounge small, opposite reception & as a walk-through to restaurant. Beer €8. Free display water & biscuits/fruit. Winter visit didn't try pool. Wooden surrounding in between restaurant & road! We would be happy to return to this hotel & thanks to the staff👍

Very nice hotel - better than expected, with friendly staff, free parking in the grounds, nice room and good facilities. Well recommended if you looking for something just outside Bordeaux, with reasonable pricing

Great welcome, good value for money. Staff were helpful and spoke their languages. Swimming pool is nice to cool off, nothing more. We stayed for one night and did not try the restaurant, menu didn't look appetizing.

Please stay away from this hotel, the front desk people smell like they smoke 10 packages a day. They are outright rude and the room is filfthy. It is very far from the city center of Bordeaux which is a lovely city.

I booked a (not refundable) room+breakfast offer ; this was not taken into account at check in : only the room booking was considered. This hotel is in the middle of an industrial area where you can't go for a walk. Beds are good and room sound proofing as well

Visited the hotel on a recommendation. Comfortable beds, pretty quiet. Car parking ok. Food ok, nice eggs at breakfast. Fresh orange squeezer. Outside pool was frozen out of season. A bit off the road to find - use sat nav. One to go back to again.

Wonderful staff, very clean & modern. Complimentary fresh fruit, plus more. Close to the airport & easy to get to the center of Bordeaux & to the vineyards. I highly recommend Best Western Hotel Le bordeaux Sud

We just left the hotel this morning on a stop over night from Spain to the Netherlands. First of all the staff of this hotel is fantastic! Never have I stayed in a hotel where everyone was so friendly from the reception to the restaurant etc. Thank you all for that. Hotel is all you need for a nice stop over, restaurant on site, good food and even a pool for the kids to enjoy after hours in a car. We booked a family room which consists of two connected rooms with one big bed, two single beds airco and two bathrooms. Beds are very comfortable and it us nice to have a room where everyone can have their own space. The one unfortunate experience we had is that there was a short circuit in the lights in one room which caused the lights to go on and off several times all night. Although we understand that those things can happen it does not help my rest or my husbands rest specially when you drove 10h and have another 10 to go. When checking out this morning I explained the situation at the reception and although she was very apologetic no compensation was offered. About 1 h later I received a call from the hotel explaining how they had been made aware of the situation and that the electrician had had a look and indeed there was a malfunction. Again very apologetic and sincere but no offer of some sort of compensation, free breakfast of some voucher. On a room of 165euro plus 90 for dinner and 48 for breakfast, having not slept all night a gesture would have appreciated. All in all a great place with friendly people and things can happen so i would recommend this hotel but a gesture would have come a long way on a bill of 300 euros for 1 night. Regars, Maite Vazquez

This hotel fits the bill if you like to get through Bordeaux before stopping - giving a great start in the morning. The hotel is opposite the intermarshe which closes early, and far enough away from main roads to give a peaceful nights sleep. Reception (and indeed all staff) were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The evening food menu was excellent for the price (note restaurant closed at weekends). Breakfast offer was one of the best we had ever encounter on our trips in France, (pancakes, eggs, bacon, cold meats and cheese, juices including squeeze your own oranges and all the usual French pastries , breads and croissants ) really quite remarkable after some mediocre offerings in other chains. I expected to find a grassy area opposite the hotel but Google didn't show the fence! It was a METRO wholesale site but the gate was open and we walked round the grass with our dog anyway - no problems encountered! Hotel is recommended.

The rooms are a decent size and are very clean and modern. The pool is very good (we spent all day at this pool). To say how small it is it isn't that bad at all. Unfortunately there isn't many places to eat nearby and we had to resort to Uber Eats because all the shops where closed. Overall though very good stay and I would come back again!

We used this hotel as a stopover on the way to our camping trip in the Dordogne. Although the location is somewhat unusual- on a small industrial estate /retail area on the outskirts of Bordeaux- it is very well placed for accessing/exploring the city. The hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are ‘no frills' business style but are kept spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfy. Each room has a good bathroom and everything you need including toiletries and even travel toothbrushes and toothpaste. We had a family interconnected room which was great as our teenage son had his own room and tv. At night the hotel is very quiet and we slept very well. The hotel has a little swimming pool and sauna/gym which is a nice touch. Breakfast is buffet style at €10 per person and is very tasty. We also had dinner on our first night and would have had it again but they only do it Monday to Thursday unfortunately. The dinner was excellent! I'd definitely recommend this hotel for exploring Bordeaux or as a stopover.

WELL! We had been driving for 7 hours so were a little techy and when the directions to find the place led us into an 'industrial' area = our hearts sunk = but worry NOT!. The Comfort Hotel was great! Bar open (1st important element) bed comfortable (2nd important element) staff lovely (3rd important element) breakfast tasty and lots of choice (4th important element) = car still there in the morning (5th important element) (locked in car park = so never any worry! Great for a stop over = we were on our way to Portugal

We booked a room here as we were passing through the areas on our way back home form holiday and it really ticked all our boxes - comfortable room, great breakfast and helpful staff. We found it to be really excellent value for money.

Booked here as it's south side of Bordeaux on my way to Spain. For a budget hotel it's outstanding. Room was clean, all usual products provided so gowns, towels, shampoo,etc. Used the on site restaurant and service was good and food was great. Every member of staff was polite and helpful. If you're wanting a small place to stay going South through France this one is top notch. Definite for future use for me.

Stayed two nights during week in July, just lovely. Spacious room, big bed, restaurant on site, pool, alfresco area, helpful English speaking staff, supermarket across the road, tram close by, great access to city, free onsite parking, would definitely return.

Used the hotel as an overnight stop and was very pleased with the accommodation. Hotel could easily be used for a longer stay. Receptionist was extremely helpful when I had made a mistake on the booking and helped me contact the booking company and alter the reservation. Room is fairly standard and was well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Comfortable bed and good linen. Didn't have breakfast as I left early and unfortunately did not have the opportunity to use the pool.

Pleasant rooms airy and spacious, manned reception not sure if 24 hour limited parking onsite but plenty nearby good breakfast pets allowed restaurant not open some of the time but there is bar service very good for an overnight stay.

Needing an overnight stay before a river cruise the next day we were extremely grateful that we had booked a room at this hotel. A very warm welcome, very comfortable room, reasonable rate, and its central location made this an excellent choice. Being surrounded by restaurants we enjoyed dinner and breakfast locally. As we arrived on a Saturday afternoon foot traffic in the adjacent shopping streets around the hotel was extensive and our taxi was required to carefully negotiate the limited access pedestrian malls.. but did so quite successfully. Based on our experience we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we will certainly return to this beautiful city in the future.
