We stayed at BW Etche Ona twice in the past year in preparation for our son's August wedding in Bordeaux. Both experiences surpassed all expectations - we absolutely recommend this property! While BW brand may conjur a roadside motel perception for long time US travelers, this Premier location is anything but that. The clean, updated hotel rooms and bathrooms are beautifully furnished and fully amenitized, beds and pillows found to be very comfortable, beautiful breakfast buffet, with a quiet, safe, central city location next to the Intercontinental Hotel and across from the Grand Theater with restaurants, shopping and sights so close by at a price that cannot be beat. The city's easy to use tram system is a block away and inexpensive tickets were purchased conveniently from the front desk. The front door entries at both buildings are unassuming so it took a minute to find. What impressed us also was the quality and friendliness of well trained staff from reception to housekeeping to concierge including the group services staff who helped reserve a block of rooms for wedding guests with prompt, courteous email communication. They even accepted advance deliveries and held them until our event (at a nearby chateau). We went on to travel elsewhere in France for another 14 days and nothing else compared in quality and price. Well done and we hope to be able to return some day!

Perfect spot for all that Bordeaux has to offer. Restaurants, shops and trams were steps away from this lovely hotel. Staff were wonderful and the room was a large size for a European adventure. The breakfast was plentiful with multiple selections for everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This property we stayed in for six nights at 4 Rue Martignac is quite nice in its updated art deco format. Getting off the tram at the Grand-Théâtre stop, the hotel is just a block away! M. Florian at the front desk was busy when we arrived too early for check-in; but Mlle. Marine took care of our luggage, and we were free to go on our way to explore the beautiful city of Bordeaux! Returning to the hotel, we were warmly welcomed, and we engaged in friendly conversation with M. Florian (and did so almost every time our elevator stopped at the Reception floor; sometimes, we just poked out our heads with a cheery “Bonjour!” on our way up to our third floor room)! Mlle. Marine and Mlle. Sonia were also a joy to chat with or surprise with our “Bonjours!” Upon entering our Double Club - Medium room 305 at our “home away from home,” beautifully maintained by their wonderful staff, we delighted at its high-end design and the extra touches in the bathroom!! We very much enjoyed our view from our single window that looked out over rooftops of retail and residential properties, especially as we faced west and enjoyed some beautiful sunsets in our room when we were just too tired to go out anymore! A bonus was hearing the sounds of the neighborhood—voices of passersby, the gentle clang of the tram as it approached the Grand Theatre stop and the bells at Église Notre-Dame de Bordeaux a half block away from our front door on Pl du Chapelet! We chose a perfectly beautiful and restful spot in staying at the Best Western Premier Bayonne!

There are two hotels on different streets with the same name. So, you first need to know which hotel you will be staying at. We found the hotel to be a bit tired and seems to cater to tour groups. We were in the midst of one such group when we found the last breakfast table. Check out was a bit chaotic as both the group and we were leaving at the same time. Also, the check -in desk was usually empty as the help would be in an adjoining room with a closed door. We accidentally stayed at another Best Western hotel, Grand Hotel Francais. It was a much better experience and seemed a cut above with better decor, friendly people who were actually there, and a wonderful upscale bar.

"High quality city centre hotel"

Difficult to reach. You have to drag your luggage from the public underground car park about 500 metres away. There are actually two hotels and we arrived at the wrong one. We had to pick up the luggage and go down the street. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast is reasonably generous, though the room is small. They do not understand the idea that water for tea should be near boiling, and so a heavy metal tea pot lowers the temperature rapidly. Egg boiler was not switched on, so there was a long wait for it to be ready. I had to ask for an egg cup, which added another word to my vocabulary! BIG bistro is nearby past Galleries Lafayette and is good, if a little pricey.

Our family of 10 spent 3 nights at the BW hotel Bayonne in medium club rooms. The relatively small rooms largely made up for the well appointed room, great mattress and bedding, quiet AC, perfect location, and attentive staff. The hotel is near restaurants, pedestrian shopping areas, and key monuments.

The hotel is decorated with taste, located in the heart of Bordeaux with a very friendly staff and decorated with taste. We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was very nice, perhaps a bit small, but the bathroom was large with a very good shower.

The location couldn't be any better. 2 minute walk to the tram, right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants in Bordeaux. We were upgraded to a larger room than we had booked, so we enjoyed lots of space. The breakfast was very tasty. The front desk woman recommended a very good restaurant a bit away from the main tourist zone.

Had an excellent stay at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Bordeaux. It is in a perfect location in the center part of town, is near the tram and walking distance to most major attractions. The hotel was very clean and the service was very good. Breakfast was good too. I would like to especially commend Florian at the front desk who provided excellent service throughout our 5 day stay. He helped with everything from directions to recommendations for restaurants and activities. I especially appreciated his willingness and patience in speaking French me (I am an English speaker with limited French language skills). Thank you Florian.
