"Never again"

This is not a 4 star hotel and unworthy of the Best Western logo. Staff very unprofessional or not interested, probably due to lack of good management. Staff at reception was most of the time not there or talking on the phone outside to friends. Bar unoccupied. Bad smell in toilet space in the room, floor dirty. Ventilation bad, windows were damped on the inside. Breakfast below average, "fake" eggs are used in the scrambled eggs, sausages probably left overs from the day before, inedible. The only good thing worth mentioning is the food in the restaurant, that was very good. Stay somewhere else.

"Close to the motorway in a quiet location"

We stayed here en-route to Italy, and I would stay here again. Located just off the motorway it is easy to find and located in a quiet position close to Metz. The hotel staff and facilities are very good, and being a car club they had reserved parking places for us... a very nice touch. Food was good although service a little slow, but that could be due to lack of staff. Definately worth considering.

"Excellent Service"

We visited the hotel with a group of 14 friends on a motorbike tour. Our tour company had not booked us in for dinner. However, Keryan and Ludivine the only two staff available gave us first class service to ensure we had space in the restaurant and great food and drink. Fantastic help and service from two dedicated and hardworking staff. Thank you.

"Great hotel for a stopover"

We stayed here for one night each way on our trip to Switzerland. Easy to find just off the motorway. Very quiet, spacious rooms, modern decor and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was very welcome. Check in was easy and on both occasions the receptionists were very welcoming and efficient. On our first visit, a Sunday, we visited the bar before dinner but there were no staff to be seen. We had to go to reception and even after paging we had to wait a considerable time before a very surly young lady arrived to serve our drinks. On entering the restaurant again we had to wait whilst the server carried on moving equipment to another room, that could have been left , surely guests come first. The menu was very limited to begin with, and some things were not available. Service was extremely slow. On our second visit, a Monday, I am pleased to say that the service was much improved and we enjoyed an excellent meal. We did not have breakfast.

"Tired basic hotel but very close to the train station"

The junior receptionists were nice but managerssenior staff were quite rude and need training to be polite and respectful to customers. The hotel is very handy for the train station, literally across the road but I think that is the only benefit of it. It's a bit out of the city centre with little around it. It feels old and tired even though it appeared they tried to do it up a bit. I was given a room right beside the lift and asked for one further away but they had none available with AC. The AC did work in the room (101) and was good but be aware that some rooms obviously don't have it or doesn't work. The room turned out to be very quiet, I heard no noise and bed was comfortable. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend to a friend There is a very nice restaurant, ABC, nearby that I would highly recommend the food at.

"Excellent overnight stop"

This is ideal for an overnight stop if you're driving and do not need to visit the centre of Metz, which is about 5kms away. It's close to main roads and has plenty of parking. The hotel is modern and clean with excellent staff who were unfailing helpful. The restaurant is excellent. I would have been very happy if I had had food of that quality in any restaurant. After a really good dinner, a good night's sleep and a plentiful breakfast I felt thoroughly rested and ready for another 370 kms on the motorbike the next day. If I need an overnight stop in Metz again I won't even consider anywhere else.

"Could be so much better if it was cleaned."

Lovely staff, great breakfast, lovely refurbished premier room with comfortable bed. But, the levels of cleanliness really were not good enough - every surface in the room was covered in dust and the cover had all sorts of suspicious stains on it.

The location of the hotel was great. Right across the street from the train station and near numerous restaurants. The desk staff was friendly. The room was small but clean. The bed comfortable. Parking was available at a nearby parking garage for 9 euros. I would stay here again

"Stopover from the U.K. to Germany"

I stayed here to break up a long drive across Europe. The location was good, close to a motorway junction with a 24 hour petrol station nearby. I arrived quite late but the reception desk was manned and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and modern - in particular the shower room. The separate toilet room was a bit dated but it was clean. I didn't stay for breakfast as it was not included in my rate and I thought it was a little pricey.

"Surprisingly nice business hotel"

The hotel is in an office park and is very business-like. It was a little tricky to find, but Google eventually got us there. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and were surprised at how truly delicious the food was. We had escalope de veau (veal) that was outstanding with a lovely wine and herb sauce, frites, and salad. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The breakfast wasn't quite as good (tasteless eggs) but had a lot of variety. The staff was happy to let us leave our luggage in a storage room while we drove into Metz to sightsee. Metz is a fantastic and fascinating small city worth visiting, especially the Porte des Allemandes.
