Hotels in Lorraine: what our guests say

Best Western Plus Hotel Metz Technopole
"Never again"
Linda L, 24 Septembre 2026

This is not a 4 star hotel and unworthy of the Best Western logo. Staff very unprofessional or not interested, probably due to lack of good management. Staff at reception was most of the time not there or talking on the phone outside to friends. Bar unoccupied. Bad smell in toilet space in the room, floor dirty. Ventilation bad, windows were damped on the inside. Breakfast below average, "fake" eggs are used in the scrambled eggs, sausages probably left overs from the day before, inedible. The only good thing worth mentioning is the food in the restaurant, that was very good. Stay somewhere else.

"Close to the motorway in a quiet location"
jennieldc, 10 Juillet 2026

We stayed here en-route to Italy, and I would stay here again. Located just off the motorway it is easy to find and located in a quiet position close to Metz. The hotel staff and facilities are very good, and being a car club they had reserved parking places for us... a very nice touch. Food was good although service a little slow, but that could be due to lack of staff. Definately worth considering.

"Excellent Service"
jonwU6105SW, 07 Juillet 2026

We visited the hotel with a group of 14 friends on a motorbike tour. Our tour company had not booked us in for dinner. However, Keryan and Ludivine the only two staff available gave us first class service to ensure we had space in the restaurant and great food and drink. Fantastic help and service from two dedicated and hardworking staff. Thank you.

Best Western Plus Thionville Centre
"Leaking Ceiling, Flooded Bathroom, Poor Breakfast"
Rézan S, 20 Juin 2026

Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing. During the night, one of the ceiling panels actually fell down because water had been leaking from the air conditioning unit. The carpeted floor became completely soaked, and we had to place towels all over the floor to limit the damage and keep the room usable. This is not something guests should ever have to deal with. The bathroom drainage was also almost completely blocked. Every time we took a shower, water flooded across the bathroom floor. It looked as if the drain had not been properly cleaned or maintained for a very long time. The room itself had a strong and unusual chemical smell that was unpleasant throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet was by far the poorest hotel breakfast buffet I have ever seen. They placed raw eggs on the buffet and expected guests to boil them themselves. Seriously, am I supposed to stand there cooking my own eggs? If guests have to prepare their own breakfast, it should not be advertised as a buffet, or at the very least it should not be charged as one. Communication was another issue. The staff member responsible for the breakfast area spoke very little English. Something as simple as asking for water became unnecessarily difficult. Overall, the hotel appears poorly maintained, the breakfast offering is inadequate, and the service falls well below what should be expected. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others.

"Great hotel for a stopover"
JSL94, 17 Juin 2026

We stayed here for one night each way on our trip to Switzerland. Easy to find just off the motorway. Very quiet, spacious rooms, modern decor and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was very welcome. Check in was easy and on both occasions the receptionists were very welcoming and efficient. On our first visit, a Sunday, we visited the bar before dinner but there were no staff to be seen. We had to go to reception and even after paging we had to wait a considerable time before a very surly young lady arrived to serve our drinks. On entering the restaurant again we had to wait whilst the server carried on moving equipment to another room, that could have been left , surely guests come first. The menu was very limited to begin with, and some things were not available. Service was extremely slow. On our second visit, a Monday, I am pleased to say that the service was much improved and we enjoyed an excellent meal. We did not have breakfast.

Best Western Premier Le Chapitre Hotel & Spa
"Great spa and pool area"
Angela S, 14 Juin 2026

Stayed here for one night on our way to Italy . We booked a standard room but our room was very cramped and on the top floor . The real disappointment was that though the toilet was separate the bathroom area was open plan to the bedroom meaning if someone was asleep you couldn't really use the bathroom , suitable only for single occupancy in my opinion . The receptionist told us that was the only room in the hotel like that so be warned when booking . Apart from this hotel was impressive with an amazing spa and pool area all included in the room rate . Reception was friendly . We didn't bother with breakfast as at €23 each a bit pricey so we walked round the corner to a cafe of which there are many .

Best Western Metz Centre Gare
"Tired basic hotel but very close to the train station"
IrishTraveller0, 07 Juin 2026

The junior receptionists were nice but managerssenior staff were quite rude and need training to be polite and respectful to customers. The hotel is very handy for the train station, literally across the road but I think that is the only benefit of it. It's a bit out of the city centre with little around it. It feels old and tired even though it appeared they tried to do it up a bit. I was given a room right beside the lift and asked for one further away but they had none available with AC. The AC did work in the room (101) and was good but be aware that some rooms obviously don't have it or doesn't work. The room turned out to be very quiet, I heard no noise and bed was comfortable. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend to a friend There is a very nice restaurant, ABC, nearby that I would highly recommend the food at.

Nancy Best Western Crystal Spa, How do I love you, let me count the ways. Sorry (not sorry) but there is not enough numbers in existence to list all the many wonderful features and deliveries of services. But for this review, I promise to all travelers that I am a seasoned world adventurer who stays in hotels half the year, and Nancy Best Western Crystal Spa hosted by the Gatinois Family is the front runner for the following reasons: 1. Exceptional staff. Each team member goes out of their way to make guests feel welcomed and well attended. 2. Close distance to Gare Nancy train and bus stations. A gout minute flat walk on reasonable paved sidewalks good for wheeling luggage, wheelchairs and strollers. Even in snowing weather. 3. Gorgeous furnishings that are fresh and modern. Many rooms with large bath tubs and separate toilet add to privacy when sharing room. 4. Fancy bar and cafe with outdoor seating as an option for smokers or those wishing to chat on phone while enjoying a beverage. 5. The Spa! An added bonus of which fluffy robes and slippers are offered to swim, sauna, steam, relax in chaise lounge. Plus one may order spa treatments for massages and facials at affordable prices. 6. For foodies, fans of Art Nouveau architecture, cinema, exciting walks in safe city at all hours of the day and night, this location is ideal. The UGC cinema is around the corner and many films have VOSTF (usually English) options. 7. Shopping is excellent with several nearby malls, boutiques, pedestrian zoned stores. A perfect place especially at Christmas season during the Christmas Market by the grand cathedral square. 8. Marina at front desk. 9. Ennes at front desk. 10. Camille at front desk. Bravo! I will be back again for certain in the near future, thank you for your hospitality. Your fan, Louise

Best Western Premier Le Chapitre Hotel & Spa
"Lovely Stay but very priceable"
Maja K, 01 Novembre 2025

We loved staying at this hotel! We received a warm welcome, and the hotel itself was beautiful. We had a wonderful time. The spa was amazing, too. It had a sauna, a hammam, water beds and a whirlpool. The massage was an added bonus. If you wanted to use the spa all day, there wouldn't be enough places to lie down inside. The water could have been warmer. There could have been more options for cheese and fresh vegetables at breakfast. The restaurant didn't offer many options either and was expensive. We declined. The room was clean and beautiful, but it could have been bigger and quieter.
