The Hub Murray Hill, BW Premier Collection Hotel, New Providence

I've stayed at this property several times and the staff always treats me with kindness and understanding. I don't drive, but the property is close to NJ Transit Rail. This makes getting around very easy. It is also close to several decent restaurants.

This Vest western is conveniently located and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean we stayed for two nights and we had great nights sleep. We plan to stay here again. Good job Best Western

Very clean hotel and excellent customer service. I travel every week for business and have had a lot of issues with hotels. This was one of the best experiences. Clean, great restaurant and excellent customer services.

The wall outlets don't work, the refrigerator froze everything, Maintenance took 1 1/2 hours to come. Manager took 20 minutes to come. I had a terrible experience here 2 years ago but gave it another try. won't go back to this location.

This place was clean, comfortable, and tucked away with a very thoughtful front desk team, snacks available for purchase, and recent renovations. Exactly what I was hoping for when I booked the trip - we would stay here again.

We were very surprised by the overall experience of our stay. The room was clean, the staff was very attentive and the bed was very comfortable. Close to downtown New Providence which had a great breakfast place (Old Glory) and all other conveniences and stores. Excellent coffee in the lobby. We will be returning again in August for another family event. I highly recommend.

Rooms are newly renovated. Staff was professional and nice. Rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable. and staff was great. Didn't get to check out the breakfast as the only had grab and go due to CovidGreat location for us. We will be back to stay here again.

From friendly service to clean room to wonderful food onsite, the stay had all we wanted at a lower price than expected. The front desk staff was over and above friendly. We will definitely return. One thing of note, the hallway carpet had a wonderful cushion to it that really made it nice to walk on.

Terrible breakfast, nice room, but no closet. There is no place to hang clothes, so that any nice clothes which should be placed on hangers, had to be folded instead. The front staff was sometimes nice, and other times, unpleasant to deal with. The breakfast was a cold bagel, with no way to toast it, and only a small orange juice to drink. I would not stay here again.

Unbelievably bad experience. Would leave zero stars if it was possible. We've stayed here several times in the past & while dumpy, it was quiet and conveniently located. It's been recently renovated & looks good on the surface. Curtain rod was hanging loose & at an angle from the ceiling where it had been glued instead of screwed in place. That was our first clue that things were not as they appeared at first glance. Awakened on first night at 5:30 am by a man speaking loudly & laughing/carrying on on his cell phone on speaker in the hallway. He was sitting in the window well wearing a hoodie & coat m, obviously not a guest. Calked front desk & was told 1. There was no one to send up to deal with the situation & on second call after enduring an hour of this outrageous behavior, that 2. He was an outside contractor, allowed to sit there while he watched & waited for his boss to arrive to begin work — wherever. What reputable hotel would allow this? Second night was woken up by neighbor having a lous conversation at the too of his lungs, again using his speaker phone. He started at 5:50 am. This was Thanksgiving morning & he appeared to be having several business calls. He seemed inebriated & in between calls was gaging, retching & coughing. All of this was crystal clear because of the large gap in the base of the door which adjoined our rooms. The rooms have vinyl floors was reverberate the sound & the gap probably wasn't a problem when there was carpeting before the reno. Again, no help from front desk. No security available or on staff. Lodged complaints both days in person after several phone calls and asked to speak to a manager. No e available. Was told he would call me. No call was received. Front desk was not authorized to make an adjustment to our bill or offer any resolution. Clerk on second day appeared unconcerned & did not even offer an apology. Poorly trained staff & lackadaisical attitude. Tonight was roused from sleep by new neighbors making repeated trips to the ice machine to fill their cooler & dumping the ice in — at 1:30 am. Again sound echoing & reverberating because of lack of sound proofing and carpeting. Never again!! Spare yourselves the nightmare & get a good rest elsewhere.

Pros: Recent renovations have made the hotel really chic. Everything is clean, attractive, and modern, with a great TV in the room. There's a grab-and-go breakfast, free coffee, and loads of parking. Rates are very reasonable. There is a rocking bar/restaurant, Moe's Bistro, inside the lobby (you don't have to go outside to get to the restaurant, which is appreciated on a cold day). Cons: Pillows are not comfortable. Towels are small and thin. The bathroom sink had a very slow drain. The front desk attendant was perfunctory but not at all friendly. The room I stayed in, #136, had a distinct mildew smell. I don't know if it was from the mattress, linens, or carpeting, but it was hard to ignore. Overall it was very good and I would stay again (but probably ask for a room on a higher floor, to try to avoid any mildew smell).

Pros: Clean and updated. Friendly staff upon arrival. Convenient to where we needed to be. Great water pressure in the shower. Room had a fridge and microwave. Decent counter space. Desk space. Heat was working great. Cons: No nearby restaurants or fast food. Sink in bathroom was super low. Elevator was ice cold. The front desk said there would be grab and go breakfast, but we never saw it and there was never anyone at the desk to ask. Not enough towels in room, but they did bring some up fairly quickly. Overall, a nice place to stay for a couple of nights. It was inexpensive, but clean and comfy. That's what we needed. I'd definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Staff said they were just about finished with renovations, but our room left a lot to be desired. No place to hang up clothes and no place to put toiletries. Also small shelf in bathroom poorly placed so that it is in the way of my head when using toilet. Not well thought out.

The hotel is nice outside, but the inside (other than the lobby) is old and smells musty. Our room looked like it was (almost) renovated. There was still painting tape hanging from the ceiling, and our smoke detector was covered for painting. The floor also had plaster/paint on it. We only stayed for one night, and it served its purpose. However, it was not worth the price tag we paid. Oh, and the "breakfast buffet" they still advertise is non-existent. Instead, you have to go to the front desk and request a brown paper bag, which is retrieved from a back room. Again, the price was steep for what we received.

My sister and I needed a home base while we looked for a new home in NJ. The BW Murray Hlll was the perfect location. The entire staff was wonderful and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and the beds were super comfortable.

Nice hotel recently remodeled. Had a little bit of a moldy smell. I asked to get from cleaned it took three days they only changed the linens forgot to leave clean towel. There for business but was informed I had to check and couldn't extend my stay by the evening staff. They were very rude and unhelpful . The Best thing about this hotel is the restaurant. Freddy was fabulous and so was the food.

The room had been remodeled and it wasn't finished when we we placed there. There was no hot water.had to take a shower in another room, a/c inadequate for the room,paint splatters,exposed wiring,broken towel bar, broken ledge in shower, a kitchen w/o flatware or utensils.' There was no Maintenence man to call or manager on site. We left the next day!

This is a copy of a letter who I sent to the manger. In addition,my telephone in the room was not working. I was told no manager was on duty and one would not be there until Tuesday. This was sent on a Saturday evening. Hello Mike, My name is Shel I stayed at your location in murray hill rooom 111. I chose to stay here for it was close to my venue on the 22nd, and Best Western Plus are hotels I have stayed at and have been satisfied. I needed a closet or a place to hang up my clothes. When I made the reservation, I was not told there was a chance I would not have a room with a closet or a place to hang my clothes. I checked with the front desk agent and he said they were sold out. Now, I believe I was did a misservice not being told this before hand.

I was pleasantly surprised by what I thought would be another mediocre Best Western. The entire hotel has been renovated it appears. Bright bathrooms with walk in showers, updated decor/furniture, big TVs and very comfortable beds. My wife asked for the information to buy one. Staff went above and beyond with any request. Breakfast is grab and go but certainly provides enough. Moes bistro, attached, had live music and an outdoor patio, food was very good. Hotel was clean, I noticed staff cleaning constantly. Highly recommend

Oh my god. This place is terrible. Night employee should either be seriously re-trained or fired. Toilet wouldn't flush at check-in. Room not cleaned. But the attitude ! Don't understand some of the positive reviews. paid ? Better to sleep in your car.

The image you see in the lobby gives you the idea that this place is a perfect spot. That image reflects the lobby area which is the only area that is refurbished. What isn't made evident are the following: there's construction happening. demolition of rooms is happening. There wasn't any noise, but the dust is present. Advertised "complimentary breakfast" -- it is a brown bag breakfast with muffins, bagels, yogurt and boxed oj. Housekeeping doesn't happen due to covid so you have to ask for towels, toilet paper, you have to put your garbage out of your room. If all this was made clear in a transparent manner, I would have been prepared for my experience at $100 a night. Front desk staff is amiable and hospitable. I have stayed in hotels that have fallen short, but this for me was a bait, switch and smoke and mirrors. I believe I deserved to know the truth.

2nd time staying at this property for almost a week and I could not find the words to express how fantastic our stay always is. We feel entirely at home, the staff is incredible - they are SO responsive, kind, quick and helpful. Every one of them. The entire hotel has been renovated this past year - the rooms are modern, up to date and spacious, super comfortable and new beds. We are 4 people and stayed in the suite room with kitchenette - tons of room, it was perfect. The manager is hand on, on site and incredibly dedicated -and it shows. All protocols in place for a clean and Covid safe visit. Location is also great - quick walk right into town and local eateries and all that you need. Also on site, fantastic bistro which is a hidden gem. I need 10 stars to rate this property

Poor day service. Morning clerk was rude and not happy to be there. Plumbing did not work properly. Room hot and A/c shut off at midnight. Noisy until 11PM. Night Clerk was polite and helpful. Room was not too clean.

I have stayed at this hotel now and then for about 30 years. Unlike many hotels of this age, this one has stayed up to date. Has always been clean. Staff has always been pleasant. The restaurant there has greatly improved and is now excellent. The new breakfast room downstairs is really nice and offers a great breakfast - which is included. Yeah. Will continue to use this hotel in the future.

We needed to be near the Hospital in Summit, NJ.--an area of "very pricey" hotels. Web searched and found this Best Western Plus, with "excellent" reviews and only 3.5 miles West of the hospital. What a find and the prices, quality of the services, room decor and condition, breakfast offered, and a superb in house restaurant called "Moe's" were perfect for our needs. Am making another reservation today for a doctor's appointment at the hospital. Won't waste my time with any other hotels in the area! If you are a "light sleeper"--take earplugs. The commuter rail lines runs nearby, but the trains stop early enough in the evening so as to "not disturb" a good night's rest.

This is a very modest Best Western. I stay there often because it is convenient but it's on the low end of the Best Western chain. They have recently gotten "new" luggage carts which are ugly and things fall off. The old ones were great.

We used this hotel as they provided shuttle service to our wedding venue. We had a wonderful experience. I stayed in the presidential suite beautiful room. Huge bathroom to utilize for makeup and getting ready. Our group had 17 rooms booked and transported over 3 shuttles to and from. The shuttles were ready and lined up on time and very friendly driver. The best part of the experience was working with Christina at the front desk. She helped to make sure everything was easy starting from the pre stages of booking and checking in and anything needed during our stay to easy check out she was amazing to work with. Overall i would recommend and stay again if needed.

My stay was completely problem-free. My accommodations were excellent and I slept well. All staff were courteous and helpful. Checking in took awhile as there were 2 wedding parties in the hotel as well, but it was handled efficiently. Checkout was very easy. Food from the restaurant was excellent and I would definitely stay there again.

Bedsheets were not clean upon arrival, after mentioning 2 times i got another room the 2nd time. after having spoken to another receptionist. Hairs from the former guest in the bathroom. In the 2nd room the closet doors were functioning , again i have mentioned this and nothing was done to repair this during my stay of a week.

Nice hotel, not many others near where I needed to go. The elevator was not working when I arrived which made bringing things to our room a pain, but it was up and running later that day. The room was nice. Sound proofing was good. The breakfast was ok in the morning. Very nice and friendly staff.

Stayed here last year and the room was clean, the breakfast was in a cafe and not some dungeon in the basement, and the food quality was atrocious. Powdered eggs and sad fruit salad consisting of two fruits. we were so disappointed at how this place has deteriorated. The staff is pleasant and helpful, but they couldn't compensate for the shredded chair in the room, the askew lightswitch and another dim lamp, impossible to turn on. The bathroom baseboard was dusty and all in all, the atmosphere was dingy and depressing. Unfortunately this place is off our list.

Mike Camassa is doing a wonderful job overseeing the Mgr.Position here while also working with with the Westfield location as well. Both properties are advancing nicely. In New Providence we especially took note of the Breakfast room which has been recently updated.The constant hot water for tea hot cereal is great.

Surprised of the quality for a Best Western hotel. Very clean and staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Upgrade to a suite for more room at a minimal cost. Breakfast room was large with more options than most higher end brands and at no cost. Wifi fast and gym was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Very clean. Free parking. Complementary breakfast had many delicious things to choose from. Loved the iced coffee! Will definitely be staying here again and recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!

Extremely impressed with my stay overall. Renovation of the gym was amazing, nicest gym i ever seen in a hotel!!! Room was clean, staff was friendly and welcoming. The complementary breakfast had so many options to fit all needs. I look forward to my next stay in New Providence.

We called ahead to check on the electric vehicle charger. Yet, we still had to request for a car to be moved so we could use it. That was not that big of a deal. The front desk lady was very nice. We went to a family function, and as we left noted that the bar was open and made plans to stop there when we returned. We returned at about 9 pm. The doors to the restaurant were locked, yet I could hear a large group of people laughing and drinking. I knocked and a young man did open the bar door. I told him I was staying there, and we'd like a quick drink before going to our roomI was turned away. Then, a front desk person told me that the owners were out of town, and sometimes the restaurant and bar workers (this was a Saturday night) feel like locking up. We went to our room, and after removing my shoes, discovered that the carpet was damp. It was so late, we just stayed. Way too much money for a mediocre hotel. Also, the car parked outside of our room, not our car, had its horn blow several times during the night.

No ac and the staff didn't even offer to reimburse us after we told them we were going out to buy our own fan after complaining for two days straight. We had one front desk staff member attempt to fix the issue by trading rooms but the other rooms had the same ac issues. Unfortunately we could not leave as it was closest to a family event. We will never stay at a best western again. Whoever gave them 8-9 star ratings really let us down.

Not good at all. Not sure if I will stay there again. Not clean at all, the breakfast is horrible not decent. Too noise, I child was crying all night in the room close to mine and I call the reception two time no one responded.

This was probably one of the rudest staff I have ever come into contact with. Upon Check In the staff was incredibly rude. They gave us attitude and were basically uninterested with helping us in anyway. We dropped off our luggage and didn't return to the room until 9 o'clock. It was then when we discovered a sign that said the pullout couch was broken and we needed to order a cot. So we called up for a cot and the woman on the phone said that they were all rented out and that I should have requested one months prior. I tried to explain that my couch was broken but she said, I can't help you with this. She then proceeded to hang up on me. I call back and ask if we can at least get an extra set of blanket and pillows for the couch. She then told me there were no extra blankets or pillows to give out then once again hung up on me. I attempted to call back or to call housekeeping, but no one answered and after 10 minutes of calling, I gave up. The blankets were especially important because the vent was broken and would not stop blasting the A/C. Overall, I would never stay with this hotel again. The rude and unprofessional staff made it a very unpleasant stay.

Most of the staff that was there for years are gone. There is construction going on which effects parking. Just not as nice as it used to be. If it were not so conveniently located, I would probably look for somewhere else to stay now.

We have stayed her in the past with no issues. But this visit hotel dirty and had ants in room. Breakfast with damaged fruit. Family tried to get us to stay else where but the location was convenient.

Came for a swim meet right next door. Walking distance to downtown. Very friendly, accommodating and welcoming concierge/front desk. Clean hotel. Not contemporary style but functional and for the price, excellent. Gym was adequate but in the process of being renovated. Studio room was spacious with a pull out couch bed and kitchenette with microwave, stove, refrigerator and cutlery. First time staying at a Best Western so while I was waiting I asked a lady who walked by how the rooms was. She glowed and talked about how the service is outstanding and she will always stay at a Best Western from now on. Apparently her mother was sick and the hotel went above and beyond to help her and her sick mother. When I read about businesses like this (ie. Southwest Air, Zappos, etc.), you wonder how true it is that employees matter and how culture drives employees, certainly for this Best Western location.

Enjoyed my meal at Moe's Bistro -- which was more upscale than I expected being connected to a Best Western. Rooms were clean and nice, bathrooms were recently updated. Only complaint was that the stairs and hallways didn't ever seem to get cleaned.

This Hotel was extremely clean, rooms were updated, loved the kitchen inside the suite I had. Everything was very nice clean and well kept. I would definitely come back again. Me and my family stayed here for my wedding

We will be back. Great rates the area was great. Lots of parking and the beds were so comfortable there was lots of parking. My wife used the gym facilities. Break menu was great. The housekeeping staff was so helpful when we needed extra amenities

The hotel is very convenient for me visiting relatives in the area, and I appreciate the price and free parking. However it is nothing great - desk staff is barely friendly, elevator is a bit scary, and rooms are nothing special - lighting isn't great, internet goes in and out. But for my needs and budget, it's fine and I am there several times a year.

Best Western Murray Hill is located close to (~5 miles) from Connell Park where HPE and DXC offices are situated. Besides, it is less than a mile away from the town center that has supermarkets as well as restaurants. It is a 10 minute walk away from the Murray Hill NJTransit railway station. It also runs a shuttle during weekdays to drop guests to their places of work, which is very convenient especially for those who are on short stays. It is also a 30 min drive from Newark International Airport. Overall a very conveniently located hotel for Business as well as Pleasure with a very friendly and caring staff.

This hotel would need a good amount of renovation. The lift is scary, the rooms are clean but show their age and the decor is not great. Breakast is good and the restaurant (Moe's Bistro) really really nice, but apart from that this place seems to be out of the eighteis. Prices aren't cheap either.

Each time, staying in Best Western Plus in New Providence is pleasant. Warm welcoming at front desk, confortable room and quiet environment of the hotel is important for relaxing during business trip with time difference to manage. Thanks for accomodation and see you soon.

Great stay. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Food was great. I enjoyed my stay completely. It was very quiet and peaceful. I will come back again, no question. Staff was friendly. Great location too!!

This property was better than expected. The rooms were very clean, and generally the halls were well maintained. This is a no-frills accommodation, but if you're travelling on business like I was, this is a perfectly serviceable lodging. The sheets & towels were fresh, the heat and air conditioning was well controlled, the desk and chairs clean and useful. A highlight was the quantity of outlets, USB and AC, available in useful locations, like next to the bed, which seems to be overlooked by many hotels, old and new. Staff was friendly, and there were free cookies! Speaking of food, the included breakfast offerings were palatable, but ordinary. Weekdays had plenty of overnight parking. Would and will definitely come back.

I need to provide background: I am 73 years old and live in a very small house (much older than I am) in a rural community. I am not in good health and can no longer cope with major snow storms that produce related problems like power outages. During the past 7 or 8 years, I've stayed at Best Western/Murray Hill - just 3 miles from my house - more than a dozen times, generally beginning on a weekly rate and extending the stay when necessary. Last winter was particular bad, and I wound up there for nearly two months.I always booked with the former manager, a person who understood I'm not the corporate traveler that represents 90% of their business. It cost me about $ 20,000 to stay there over that time, but I felt she always tried to give me a fair deal.When I phoned prior to the impending storm on January 19, I was told she was no longer the manager. The "new manager" quoted me a price that would have been $ 1,600 for 9 nights - 5 of which were "weekend" nights when the rate is less because this is a hotel for business travelers. This was appreciably more than I'd been charged before. So I contacted Hotels.com and learned I it would cost 1,380 if I booked that way. I am not a wealthy person. My only income is the $ 1,438 a month I get from Social Security, which isn't enough to live on. I'm trying to stretch my life savings to last until I die. So saving the 200-something dollars was important, even though I always booked with Best Western/Murray Hill before.I didn't realize it meant taking the room next to their heating machinery which made sleeping impossible. Every five minutes or so, there was this pounding noise which would last two or three minutes and then resume again. If I had booked through the hotel, I would have asked for a different room that first night. As it was, sleeping on the bathroom floor (with the door shut) was the only place quiet enough where I actually got some sleep, but it was very uncomfortable. Needless to say, it was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel.

Nice hotel. Older looking exterior, but clean and well kept inside. Nice friendly staff, good breakfast and a nice evening restaurant. Convient to New Providence, Berkeley Hgts and local office parks.

3rd Year staying for a Christmas family visit and plan to return/recommend. Very comfortable mini suite room. Quiet location, nicely furnished and a convenient breakfast included. Staff members were very nice.

I'm sure the staff here overall are great but I had massive issues with the person manning the desk Friday 2018/12/21. He needs significant training to be up to speed. IT should not take 30+ minutes to check in a guest walking in with a pre-made reservation. As a former employee of BW Intl I had to help this person navigate the check-in process. Hotel also was quite out of the way for my trip so i'll likely be avoiding any future travel here.

Stayed at this location for 1 night. Moment I walked in to the lobby I felt like I was home. Staff greeted me and cared about my needs. Absolutely above and beyond to make sure my stay was a. Great one and I appreciate it bc it truly was.

This is a high quality hotel at a budget price. The hotel is a classic suburban hotel. Large, spacious and immaculately clean rooms. It also has a five star restaurant, Moe's Bistro just off the lobby. To have this quality a hotel so close to the city at prices per room under $200 a night is a real value. We loved staying here and would gladly return.

First off, this is a expensive area, and the price for my room was very reasonable. The location is within walking distance to the town center, which has plenty of restaurants, deli's, stores etc to choose from. The staff from the desk, through maintenance to the Buffet were very friendly. Room was clean, had nice large newer tv with cable, frig,microwave, very comfortable beds, which were recleaned every day, modern/newer furnishings. The complimentary breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had with Oatmeal,eggs,sausage,waffles,danishes, toast,coffee,oj etc . Overall great experience, and whenever visiting relatives who live nearby, will gladly stay here.

We just came home after a brief weekend that included this wonderful place. All of the positive reviews were accurate: this is a quiet place with impeccable service, ultra clean facilities, friendly and helpful people everywhere, comfortable bedding, air conditioning that doesn't blow you away or keep you up at night and a fabulous restaurant located right inside the entrance. And did I say quiet? Quiet is important to my husband and I and this place was one of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed in on the East Coast. They were booked solid with wedding parties and one never heard a sound. The place to eat, both dinner and the complimentary breakfast buffet, was called Moe's and it was marvelous. It's menu spanned from the simple, like sandwiches, to the elegant, like a Mediterranean styled lamb dish. My own John Dory dinner was sublime and my husband's burger with wonderful, spiraled French fries was perfect....I did say the menu spanned the spectrum having taken advantage of that breadth myself. The breakfast was terrific and filled with decent choices of hot and cold foods. I would return to this place in a heartbeat. Bravo!

It appears that we delivered on all of the important parts of a comfortable stay at a hotel and we thank you for choosing us for your recent visit to the New Providence area. This BW location is a little hard to rate given the strong positives and couple of negatives, but when everything is considered, it is a really good lodging. The room was large, the bed was wonderful as were the pillows and the A/C worked well, not blowing directly onto us like other hotels. The hotel location is also away from traffic, so it's quiet at night, making for easier sleep. Bonus points for these elements. The bathroom was a little compact though fully functional. We just wished there'd been a bit more elbow room. Hot water was quick to our faucets, though. The complimentary breakfast was among the best we've seen when hot offerings are available without a fresh cooking station. They had decent though slightly dry scrambled eggs, two kinds of sausage and tatter tot potatoes. There was a waffle maker in place, and they had good, hot oatmeal as well as cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, pastries, yogurts and fresh fruit compote. The fresh orange juice was great, and they also offered cranberry juice as well. For the approximately $160 before taxes, this hotel was a winner. We will return when in this area. A word of warning: the housekeeping staff routinely use a strong smelling "room freshener" that we found moderately offensive. Opening the window and door allowed a strong breeze to reduce the impact. The staff were most apologetic about our problem but had no other rooms available, so we stayed the night. The housekeeping supervisor also told us to alert them ahead of time to our sensitivity, and they would not apply the freshener to our room. As said above, we will return and just specify no freshener/fragrance. Ah, one more caution, the breakfast is available in a separate room, actually a restaurant that's only open to hotel guests for breakfast. The room is pretty chilly, so take a wrap.

This was our first stop on our New York trip. The hotel was clean, had a great bistro, and a great breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was good also and the price wasn't bad for what you got.

We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night. As with most places there was good and poor, and in the case of this place the good outweighed the poor. The poor was minor starting with my room not being ready at the advertised 3 p.m. check in time. That is late enough so that a room should never be "not ready" at that hour. The elevator door, when closing, slams shut so hard that if anyone put their hand out to keep it open, they could end up with broken fingers. I mentioned this to the front desk. A simple aid for guest is to have a listing of local churches and service times available but this place does not. Other than that everything else is a positive and a good reason to stay. The rooms were spotless and well equipped with refrigerator, microwave, TV and coffee maker, etc.. One very nice touch was the built in automatic night light. This assured that your 2 a.m. walk to the bathroom would be made without tripping over the furniture. The staff was great and the grounds were landscaped beautifully. . The lobby had a coffee station for our convenience. The complementary breakfast had a wide assortment including, coffee, juice, oatmeal. eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, bagels donuts and a waffle maker as well as fresh fruit and yogurt. All in all I liked this place very much and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends.

I am sorry that your room was not ready (perhaps there was a special request) upon your arrival because that was an isolated incident. The majority of the rooms are ready for arrivals by 1pm each day so I apologize for the inconvenience. The elevator did in fact need a slight adjustment and our licensed contractor was called for that repair. I completely agree that information regarding area churches and synagogues should be available for our guests and that is why this information is provided in the Guest Directory in each room. We appreciate your kind words regarding the cleanliness and amenities that we offer to our guests, and your feedback has been shared with the entire team. We especially like to hear such positive feedback about our breakfast buffet because we know how important it is to start each day satisfied. We hope to see you again in the future.

We arrived earlier than we expected on the morning of the Memorial service for our friend's father, after driving four hours north from Virginia. The service was starting at noon. We decided to take a chance and see if the hotel might have a room ready for us early so we could stow our bags and freshen up a bit before heading over to the service, which was being held at a church just five minutes away from the property. We lucked out and our room was ready for us--clean, neat and located at the quiet end of the corridor. The staff was kind, and eager to help us out. It was a great stay! Many thanks!

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at this hotel and again wasnt disappointed. The hotel is somewhat updated. It is very clean and the staff very nice. On this visit the A/C was working substandardly. I called the front desk who was willing to send a technician down immediately to look at it. Unfortunately this was not an option for us as we had an event we were trying to get ready for. After explaining this to the front desk we were immediately moved and upgraded to a new room! Could not have been more impressed! Thank you to the staff at Best Western Murrayhill!

First: good is the shuttle to the office, unfortunetly could not always use it because had to go to the office at 6am as the wifi connection was a disaster....explanation was the rainy wheather. Seriously? Personel is friendly and willing to help offering a half broken umbrella... but ok, the intention was good. What stroke me most was the attached restaurant, unstable tables trying to fix them with piece of wood which did not really help, the meat was black burned, top of the bill was on Saterday having breakfast on cardboard plate. This all in combination with a too active airco and tables almost fallen apart made me feel being on a outdated camping. Thanks but no thank you anymore.

I am very sorry that we did not meet any of your expectations during your recent stay, and I only wish we had the opportunity to address these items while you were still our guest. I am not sure what type of internet connection issue you experienced during the several days you were with us because our 24 hour support service did not show a record of a call for assistance. When connectivity issues do occur they are usually resolved immediately, and I am sorry that we were not aware of this problem. I have shared your comments regarding the breakfast service with those associates working in the morning, and the "unbalanced" tables have been balanced. I am sorry for any inconvenience you experienced with our extensive hot/cold complimentary buffet. Thank you for taking the time to share your comments regarding your recent stay.

I stayed here for two nights for my friends wedding. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very helpful considering we needed to get ready for her wedding. The rooms are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Nice staff, comfortable clean room. Wi-fi was good, we were very satisfied! The breakfast which is included was not wonderful the one day we had it, so that is an area they can improve on. But there are plenty of restaurants in New Providence to get breakfast, so no big deal.

Never thought we would have such a pleasant experience at a Best Western. We needed a reasonable place to stay for the night, this was just that and more. The rooms were nice and cozy, the bathrooms appear to be just renovated- very nice as well. The carpets in the hallways and the paint could be updated, but were not terrible. Moe's Bistro, a restaurant and bar, was something to really talk about, The hostess, was an older woman who was so kind and had a lot of spunk. There was a piano player, who was outstanding! While sitting at the bar, we also spent some time talking to the owners of the place- we informed them that they we were very impressed. The drinks were made well, a nice selection, and pretty knowledgeable bartender too. We had a wonderful night here, When we woke up in the a.m,, we went back to Moe's bistro for a continental breakfast. My husband and I both made ourselves Belgian Waffles-Very Good!

We booked 14 rooms for our wedding through this hotel, not only did they give the bride a problem during her check in, they were extremely rude and unprofessional during the process. The room was pre paid on my mother's card and they made my wife put a $500 deposit on her own card. Nothing but snotty attitudes. Next my father attempted to check in the day of our wedding and they told him his room wasn't ready, so an hour and a half later (well after the 3pm check in time) he asks again whats going on with his room. They said it still isn't ready, and that 3pm is just a "suggested check in time" and nothing is guaranteed. My father lost his mind on them and the woman said he could call and speak to the manager after the weekend. (How that would help the day OF the wedding, I don't know). He ended up getting changed in the bathroom of another family members suite. Finally one of my groomsmen did not receive his change from the extremely over priced drink he bought at the hotel bar.. when he questioned the bartender he got nothing but an attitude. This hotel, their staff, and service are despicable.

On behalf of the entire team I would like to apologize for not meeting your expectations during your recent stay. I am well aware of what occurred with a few of the rooms from the wedding block, and we have communicated directly with the guests occupying those rooms. We are accustomed to balancing the arrival and departure patterns of wedding groups each weekend, but extenuating circumstances led to a few rooms not being ready at our check in time of 3pm. While I am sure it is of little consolation at this point, we had extended a one hour later departure for a particular group (12PM on Saturday) but many of them did not return to the hotel until closer to 1pm. In an effort to provide superior customer care to this particular group, we were unexpectedly behind schedule to have these rooms ready for new arrivals. We take full responsibility for this isolated incident, and understand the frustration of those guests not able to check in at 3pm. Incidentally, please speak with your father about our resolution for the inconvenience he experienced because I am sure you will agree that we have now exceeded his expectations. You also mentioned that there was an issue with a groomsman not receiving the proper change, and I am interested in speaking with him directly. Now that I have the facts surrounding that scenario I would like to have a conversation with that particular guest. Once again, I am very sorry that a few of the rooms were not available for check in at the appropriate time, and I am glad that we have had the opportunity to resolve this with those affected by this inconvenience. Good hotel and friendly personnel. Rooms are a bit outdated and need to be refreshed a bit. They were clean. Internet was working good. Breakfast offered enough choice and good quality of products. Good location.

Nice place easy to find . The rooms were great. All non smoking. They have a small refrigerator in the room also a coffee pot. The room was very clean , no problem with check in.If you like pillows there is a lot of them. The place is very quiet,no problem sleeping.The breakfast was very good.. I would go back there.

Arrived very late after a long flight arrived and had a rather confused checkin as apparently I had checked in earlier! Once that was sorted out, room was large and clean. Breakfast that was included in my rate was plentiful and pretty good. Would have liked bacon, as that is what I look forward to in the USA! Good value.

This motel was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good with excellent selection. The location was excellent for our destination (Springfield, NJ). There was plenty of parking, and check-out was very easy.

We stayed in this hotel on Christmas night while visiting my mother at her nearby senior citizen residence. Check in was quick and the room was clean and very spacious, with a microwave and fridge. Heating system was quiet and worked well on that cold night. You will want to bring a night light, as the bathroom fan and light are both on one switch, so if you leave the bathroom light on the fan will be loud. Our night light solved that problem and we slept well. Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet. Included buffet breakfast was quiet nice, with lots of choices and very helpful staff. We will definitely stay here again when visiting my mother.

Second time for spending 3 nights over Christmas and would definitely return. Central location, very courteous staff and clean, comfortable room. The complimentary breakfast was really good. Made our holiday travel much easier.

Have stayed in the Murray Hill Best Western whenever we visit NJ family in the area. Always a good experience. However, this time there was problems with the TV and even after reporting it, TV picture didn't work. So we couldn't watch TV during our entire stay. Other than that, it is a nice, clean hotel with friendly staff.

Thank you for choosing us once again during your recent family visit, and I am pleased that you have always had a good experience. I am disappointed to learn that you experienced a problem with your TV (or TV channel) and even after reporting it, the problem was not resolved. Many times a reported issue with a TV is resolved immediately, and if the problem cannot be resolved, the entire should be replaced with a new set. I am confused as to why this did not happen because it is such a quick issue to resolve. Since I cannot determine the specifics of your stay based on the information provided in this review, I am requesting that you reach out to me directly to discuss it further. I will need your assistance in order to further investigate what happened during your stay, and work our a satisfactory resolution.

I love a place that thinks of everything from six outlets by the bed to free refrigerator to microwave to adapter free outlets by the desk for iPhone charging etc. Only complaint is the free cookies runout too early.

While traveling to New York, we were force to find a hotel room to a snow storm. We find BW Plus Muarray Hill Hotel and Suites. The check in was very easy, the staff was great. Very clean and comfit able bed. Due to the storm we eat at a restaurant called MOE's. The food was good , the staff made great.

Good location with very responsive staff. Our room had two problems and the staff immediately moved us to a comparable room in less than 10 minutes. Problem solved, good service. We'll probably come back given we travel to this area with a certain degree of frequency.

I come to the Berkeley Heights area a few times each year on business. My company usually puts me up at the BW Westfield Inn, which, other than the staff and the location, is just plain nasty. This was my first stay at the BW Murray Hill, and it is a better facility. There's not much around it from a shop/restaurant standpoint, but it was clean, and it does have a restaurant. Staff was cordial, but the gentleman who is in the restaurant in the mornings was a fantastic guy. Very warm, attentive and pleasant. Made us feel very welcome. They also serve wine in the evening. The rooms are spartan and are kinda awkward suites, with tiny bars, etc. Nice large TV in the bedroom; smallish oddly placed TV in the sitting room. The bed was hard as a rock, which made sleeping tough. Clean, but a couple of reddish carpet stains made me wonder. A/C units were relatively quiet. I read from another review that you could ask for firm or pillowtop beds...we were never given that option - I would have loved a softer bed. Hotel is very quiet, which is nice. I hear an Embassy Suites is opening up May 2018 a couple miles from this one.

I am sorry that we were unaware of your requirement for a pillow top bed instead of our firm model, so I suggest you make your next reservation directly with one of our agents at the hotel. While there are in fact several lodging options in our area, we hope that the comfort and service we provide to our guests makes a difference in their respective choices. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. I would stay again any time! We had several rooms booked as we were in town for a family wedding and each room was beyond satisfactory. The gentleman working the breakfast room was so nice, and everything was hot and delicious.

A very good hotel for the value. The buffet hot breakfast has many varieties with made to order omelets and waffles. It has the usual eggs and bacon and ham, selection of hot and cold cereals. Service is also excellent. Room is clean with good supplies of in-room coffee and tea. All day coffee and tea in lobby, home made cookies occasionally.

Your feedback strikes a chord with us because you have noted the "value" of your experience and that shows our efforts have made a difference. Thank you for acknowledging our many amenities, but most importantly, the delivery excellent service!

We have stayed at this hotel many times during visits with my brother and his family. The hotel is quiet, clean with very comfortable beds. We have not used the breakfast during several of our visits because the cost for outsiders to join us seems too high for food quality and dining ambiance. The new restaurant does not have a menu that appeals to our tastes and again seems to be overpriced. Over the many years we have stayed here, the price has increased to a point were we have been encouraged to research other hotels in the area. Our past two stays have been at another hotel at which we were able to find great deals online.

The best hotel and suites to stay; walking distance for food and other grocery. Interior and Cleanliness was great. The staff is really helpful. I loved my stay there and would prefer to stay there only

OK. Its clean and functional. Not memorable but a good place to just to rest your head. Very quiet but make sure you eat before you arrive. There is an restaurant attached but not a 24 hour affair so no room service was available upon arrival. There are vending machines but one ate my last $3 change and didn't dispense anything ..aghhhh! Top tip: Steer clear of 'Sam's' Taxi service offered by the hotel...very expensive. I believe i was overcharged by $40.!! Not being local I decided to use the Lyft app the following morning for the same journey and the bill was 1/3rd the previous price by Sam's taxi service. Not a great advert for the Hotel. Staff were courteous enough.

Overall pleasant stay. I had an event in the local area. I would definitely recommend this hotel and/or stay there again. Surprisingly nice. Never stayed at a Best Western before but never thought one with this flag would be this nice

In the morning the waiter at buffet felt as tho he needed to explain how the buffet worked then asked my three times what room I was in. He never asked any other guest. Then when I went to toast s bagel. He threw my whole plate away. I yelled and said I'm not done. He's reply. Get more

Mr.Davis--as I have explained to you in a previous email exchange, our Breakfast Attendants greets each and every guest with instructions for our breakfast buffet, as well as a request for a name and room number. For accounting purposes, we track the number of breakfasts served against our Guest Ledger so that we can better predict activity trends on certain days of the week. I must point out that not only do we have a very ethnically diverse team of associates, but we also cater to an international clientele each day. I can assure you that each guest arriving for breakfast is given the same instructions, and asked the same questions. While I might not be able to change your perception about your stay, I can definitively state that our team takes great pride in the customer care provided to each and every guest.

Breakfast is one of the best I recall in USA that I have. However, I always target hotels that I can have a good night sleep. The bathroom of this hotel has a fun running continuously. So, there is that kind of noise that does not let you to sleep. Called the staff but they could not do anything (not their fault). Finally, needed to drive to the near CVS in the middle of the night to get some ear plugs. I was, then, able to sleep. Bring some ear plugs with you, if you are noise sensitive!. When I was looking the bathroom fan I noticed tons of dust there. I recommend the staff to consider cleaning that at least once a month.

The hotel is a very good value. It is simple and not especially attractive but the room was clean and the bed was suprisingly comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would be happy to return again.

Great value and includes a full breakfast. The rooms are spacious and very friendly and helpful employees. WiFi works great. Easy walk to the train to NYC. Easy walk to coffee shop and dining. Will stay here again.

Very nice place to stay. Quiet. Nice restaurant in the building. Custom omlets included with the free breakfast. Limited other choices close by walking distance. 5 minutes to Nokia / ALU / Bell labs. Fairly good access to/from I-78. I will stay here on my next trip.

Terrific hotel for business or pleasure. Comfortable rooms and a very friendly and welcoming staff. Complimentary breakfast had a wide assortment of both hot and cold items and was very good. There was a strip mall within walking distance where there were two grear restaurants (Italian and Chinese) plus a liquor store and small market.

Service and room very good. Bathroom needs updating - very dark. Price is high for the value and location. Breakfast could be served later than 9:30am especially for business meetings and meeting schedules.

I have stayed at this Best Western several times. Each experience is pleasant. The hotel staff is friendly and professional. They take the time to discuss stay. The rooms are comfortable and the free breakfast offers something for everyone.

This hotel is beautifully maintained. The beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get out in the morning. Full service breakfast was phenomenal; one couldn't ask for more. Value was incredible, i.e., fairly low prices. No indoor pool. Close to train to NYC.

We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a wedding nearby, and the family reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate. If you are planning a wedding and looking for a place for your out-of-town guests to stay, you might want to check it out. It worked great for us!

Very good hotel for business stay. With shuttle options to near by offices, ideal place to be. Less activities around if someone is looking for them, but good locality. Good helping staff. In room kitchen options are not there except microwave and fridge, for people looking for them, it is not suitable.

the staff is very kindly. and room is clean and tidy. but the air condition is aloud. but the breakfast is not very good, everyday is the same for sever years, no vegetables. generally I think the place is good, environment is good.

We try to offer a large variety of hot and cold breakfast selections on our complimentary buffet, and while several fruit options are available, vegetables are not something that has been popular with our guests. My overnight at BW Murray Hill was outstanding. Attended a nephew's christening and it turns out the BW was within walking distance of the church. Bravo! Wonderful welcome provided by Michele at the front desk. Special thanks, Michele, for securing that second floor room (244)...super quite but one little caveat -- better to be up and out on a Monday morning because a huge sanitation truck comes calling on the dumpster in the back...and it's quite the BOOM. Other than that "wake up call" the BW epitomized cleanliness (compliments to housekeeping team) and comfort. Would definitely stay at BW-MH again.

Thank you for sharing some specifics during your "outstanding" stay with us a couple of weeks ago. We are glad that our location, walking distance to town, made traveling to the church much more convenient. Recognizing the efforts of Michele, as well as the housekeeping team, means a lot to us. I am sorry that the sanitation truck may have arrived earlier than the designated 9:00am pick-up time, and that it caused a disturbance. We are happy that, given the opportunity, you will gladly stay with us again!

The hotel was excellent as far as location. We were minutes away from our event. Hotel was clean and staff were excellent. The breakfast was standard buffet servings. The noise level of the AC/Heat unit was disturbing during the night. A quieter unit is recommended.

The hotel staff were most helpful, especially the front desk personnel. We were a large wedding group, and the front desk staff accommodated all our requests as best they can. The hotel rooms were clean and very comfortable. Cannot ask for anything better during our stay at Best Western this past weekend!!!

We stayed at the Best Western Murray Hill Hotel & Suites in New Providence recently after a day of bad weather and multiple cancelled fights at Newark Airport. About a 15-20 minute cab drive away, we were greeted by very friendly and helpful front desk staff. The room was tastefully decorated with classic furniture and immaculately clean. Given that our bags were already checked, we appreciated the amenities and it was especially nice to have real cotton terrycloth robes in the room. There was time to try some really well-made hummus in the on-site restaurant before they closed. The surroundings were quiet and bed comfortable, so we were able to get some rest before our early departure. There was a free continental breakfast with many choices, or "grab & go" bag for those like us leaving early. We would definitely stay again when we're in the area!

We recently stayed at the Best Western in New Providence for two nights as a result of having some work done in our home and were pleasantly surprised. Being up in years, having to leave your home is traumatic enough but the staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful they made us feel like we were on a vacation! The room and bathroom was spacious and very clean. There was even a microwave and refrigerator in our room. The food in the dining room was good. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay.

We were visiting relatives in the area and this was a perfect location for us. The rates were the cheapest we have seen in a long time. The staff was attentive at the front desk and at the breakfast area. The air con was good in that it didn't turn on and off all night long, it was continuous. The decor was slightly older, but for one night it really didn't matter. The room was not far from our parked car, so that was nice too. The woman who checked us in gave us a King Firm mattress which was GREAT because I have neck problems. The breakfast had many, many choices-scrambled eggs, meats, juices, cook your own waffles, breads, muffins, and the usual. Also, freshly made oatmeal. All in all, a pleasant stay.

We were headed out to Long Island and just wanted a place to stopover before facing NYC traffic. The Murray Hill turned out to be the perfect place. Feels like the last small town before you hit the metropolis. Hotel is clean, safe, friendly. Yet easy access to major routes into/around NYC. (People we met were staying there for going into Manhattan for a Broadway show. That seems a little far to me, but maybe not.) The downtown of New Providence is pleasant, and you can stroll into it from the hotel. One very good restaurant (with a full liquor license) downtown (Providence Bar and Kitchen). We didn't try the restaurant in the hotel, but it gets good reviews. Really friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

I stay here every other month for work and it is always a nice welcoming when I arrive. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and good internet connection - that's what is important to me when traveling for work. Fitness center is a bit warm during summer months - but they did place a floor fan to try to help. Very friendly and attentive staff.

During July visit, the quiet Hotel Inside amazing ecosystem in New Jersey: Best Western Murray Hills Plus in New Providence. In summer, the green environment, flowers, some wild animal (rabbit, doe, ...) observed close to the Hotel. A green paradise close to the trepidating Metropolis New York city. The welcome at the Hotel is warm and with many attention. The rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. That's a pleasure to stay in Best Western Murray Hill in the part of New Jersey paradise.

I always believed and will, 1st impression is the most important for any business. This exactly what I received at BW Plus Murray Hill. Ali who checked me in was extremely professional and was well versed with the procedures. Nevertheless, what truly set the stage for for a this great experience at this location was how sincere Ali was. She made me truly welcomed. I also like to recognize the the gentleman who was at the desk during the overnight shift and the gentleman who assisted with the food services in our conference room. This was true hospitality. Super clean rooms. Will definitely return whenever I return to the area.

The hotel is in a really good location but my room was very damp for some reason. The carpet felt wet and the sheets felt damp.We thought we would give it a couple of hours to see if the conditions would improve and it did not. I reported the situation to the front desk receptionist and told they were totally booked. I asked if they could at least put me in another room for the night and I'll find another hotel the next night. The receptionist eventually found me another room. The rest of our stay was ok.

I want to apologize for any inconvenience during your recent stay with us. While I am glad we were able to offer alternate accommodations that met your expectations, it is unfortunate that you had an initial negative impression of our hotel. After reviewing your incident upon departure, it appears that an under-performing A/C unit may have contributed to already humid conditions and this created more moisture than normal. Again, I am sorry that your stay started off with an issue but glad we were able to resolve it.

This was a nice hotel in a very quiet location. The staff was extremely helpful at check-in, during my short stay, and again at check-out. The Mediterranean restaurant offered great food and service. The breakfast was delicious, warm, and fresh. The guest room was comfortable, with nice bathroom facilities, a very comfortable bed, and very quiet surroundings. The hotel also offered a stress free drive back to the Newark Airport. All in all, it was a great break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

While reading the review from your recent stay, it occurred to me that this is exactly the image we try to highlight in all of our online promotions as well as our printed collateral material. The service was very good, but need to improve the room interior and remodel is required. Rain water is coming inside the room through the AC unit, it was cleaned, but again came the next day. I have reported while checkout, hope they will take care of that. Breakfast is good.

Good location, well kept, and convenient to residential areas, this Best Western was above average in its upkeep and cleanliness. The comfort of the rooms was also a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was better than continental with eggs and some sort of ham or pork roll, yet could still use some improvements,

We are pleased to hear that you found the hotel to be "well kept" and that our suburban location worked well for you during your visit. We try to provide an extensive hot & cold breakfast buffet, with build-your-own sections, but feel free to contact me directly if there is something that you feel needs to be added to the variety currently offered. My room was okay, but I saw a strange short curly hair in a place too close to the bed. Form that point on I could not relax. Furthermore, on the first Saturday night there was a group coming from a wedding and they kept running up and down the hall way banging on each other's doors and and continuing their party in the hallway. I had to convince the hotel staff that the group was actually too noisy for 1:30 AM before he talked to them.

I am very sorry to hear that you encountered a housekeeping deficiency and did not bring it to our attention because we would have provided new accommodations to you immediately. I wish we would have been made aware of this while you were here. I apologize that some late arriving guests took some time to settle in and that you were disturbed by them. Hotel is clean, efficient and staff is customer friendly. Complimentary breakfast is great. We always stay here when we are visiting our children and grandchildren who live in Summit, New Jersey. There are good restaurants in the area and good shopping. Overall a great experience and our go to hotel when we are in this area.

This is a good location for the area. While the guest room bathroom could use a bit of updating,the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. They include a very nice breakfast too and complimentary newspapers. Good towels too.

My family stay in this hotel was below expectations. A simple request for a safe in the room went unanswered for the whole week I was there so I had to carry my valuables around. Breakfast buffet is reasonable and staff at the restaurant is very pleasant. Location is another inconvenient. It is my last visit to this hotel.

I want to thank you for staying with us recently and I am sorry that your room was not equipped with a safe. We are in the process of installing safes in each of the guest rooms and should have this project completed in the coming weeks. I am sorry that you did not take advantage of the safe deposit boxes we have for our guests at the front desk because these are also supplied at no charge. While our location in the quiet suburban Borough of New Providence is very desirable to many people, we cannot do anything about those guests preferring the busy activity of a larger city. Thank you for recognizing the pleasant staff at the hotel and thank you again for staying with us.

I stay here almost every week and I always look forward to the experience. The rooms are reliably clean and well appointed. The hot breakfast is good and much appreciated. The staff are courteous and helpful without exception.

They skipped out on cleaning my room. I had stayed there for a short time(two nights to be exact), but they never came to clean my room on the second night. The remote for the tv wasn't very helpful and the Wi-Fi could have been much faster also.

As mentioned in a previous correspondence with you regarding the cleaning concern, a communication error must have occurred regarding a "privacy" or "service" sign room status on your second day. I apologize if the error was the result of an oversight by the room attendant. Like most hotels, a call to the front desk requesting service in the event of an oversight, will usually correct the situation. I am not sure what your comment about the remote implies but we do not have a channel list card in each room for the convenience of the guest. I am sorry if you experienced an isolated situation with our WiFi because the feedback we receive is usually quite reliable. Thank you very much for your feedback.

I spent two nights here while in town for business. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was particularly clean, which I appreciated. The staff was friendly and welcoming. As I woman travelling alone I felt safe and secure at this motel. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a nice addition, including both continental options, plus some hot dishes.

I was visiting family in the area and traveling with my daughter, daughter in law and 9 month old grandson. I called the Murray Hill Inn to book 2 rooms for the night. The person taking my call was very helpful and accommodating. Because I was traveling with a small child, it was important to have adjoined rooms. I was assured this was not a problem. Upon check in we were directed to our rooms that were exactly what we needed. The hotel is older, but was clean and the staff was especially courteous and helpful. We did not need to utilize the train, but I did notice that there was a train station nearby that would be convenient if a guest was wanting to visit New Your City for the day.

What a lovely surprise this hotel stay was. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere but don't let that fool you. Take a walk (yes walk) down to the small but quaint town centre. We visited during Easter holidays so there was a quiet buzz. The hotel appears to be a popular place for visiting family's as central meeting point whether attending weddings etc. We loved the location and hope in the future to short break here in the future. Homely, warm, welcoming atmosphere with friendly front house staff and handyman. Clean and comfortable. Would recommend for short stay in the area.

I love the BW brand. Especially the PREMIER & PLUS hotels. So booking this knowing it's a PLUS I had great expectations. The area is great and clean. Nice location near great BYOB restaurants. Unfortunately the hotel has not been updated. Its very old fashion looking. Decor was not updated in years. The beds were hard. The front service desk staff were nice but that's it. Nothing to write home about or brag about in regards to this property. I will say that the hotel was IMMACULATE! You can eat off the floor! It was quite average stay.

Business trip near Newark? This is the place to be. Good breakfast, comfort bed, decent gym with good and warmth client service. Feels like been in a small place in an episode of Gilmore Girls. Nice surprise is coming from an afternoon run and be welcome with home made cookies and chicken wings at the frontdesk!

Stayed 2 nights w/ my daughter and her friend for a nearby dance competition. Our room and bathroom were extremely clean. The mattress was a little firm, but the bedding was soft and clean. Overall, a good sleep experience. We had a great nights sleep. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good and we also ate Sat night dinner at Moe's (onsite restaurant) and the food and service were incredible. We also enjoyed listening to the guitarist.

Room was large, comfortable and had a sitting area and 2 flat screen TVs. Internet was fast! Room tastefully decorated, bathroom spacious. Desk staff friendly. Would be helpful to have entrances at the end of the long wings for loading/unloading luggage. Included breakfast offers hot and cold choices. Long line at waffle maker. Food stations spaced for easier access; attractively displayed. Sunday morning and dining room was very crowded - no seats.

Seeing that we provided "great value" to a guest shows that we exceeded their expectations, and we thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Large and comfortable rooms, along with spacious bathrooms, set us apart and we are glad that they had a positive impact on your stay with us. As for your breakfast experience, even though we can seat 70+ guests in the dining room, there are times over busy weekends when guests decide to meet at the same time. As a result, there are rare occasions when seating is limited but usually some tables free up in a timely manner. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you in the future.

Stayed overnight while visiting relatives in NJ. Hotel was clean, well kept, and the staff was very friendly! King room was a good size and bed was so soft! Delicious complimentary breakfast and express checkout made the morning a delight! Will be back!

Excellent staff, amenities (breakfast - fresh omelets!) Suggest giving this place a try if you have travel plans to this area. Front desk staff quickly resolved an issue with my reservation, and got me in my room, while they dealt with the issue. Much appreciated.

Only 20 mins from EWR, this BW is a great option for a business traveler on a budget. Close to highways, good wifi, gym and an EXCELLENT onsite restaurant - Moe's Bistro. Breakfast is included in the rate and you can't beat the selection, even made to order omelettes! Dinner here was also very good and tasty- Filet Mignon BLT with fries $16. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel was clean and staff was courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit hard to my taste. All amenities in room worked great. It was close to the wedding we went to. Exterior and interior was clean and inviting.

Stayed one night, easy check in, one of my rooms wasn't quite ready on time but not a problem. Very clean bathrooms very comfortable beds. All the basic essentials available Nice area of town. Didn't get a chance to try out the onsite restaurant.

Hotel was good, comfortable rooms we reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights. Staff was good and helpful. Breakfast was poor. Ice cold pancakes despite just being brought out. Small selection of choices. Breakfast staff seemed to be understaffed.

I am disappointed to hear that a "good" weekend stay was overshadowed by your breakfast experience. We usually receive very high marks for our complimentary buffet but it is apparent that we fell short in your case. We regularly host large groups over the weekends, and while we do staff the hotel accordingly, there can be isolated instances whereby a rush of activity can enter the dining room at the same time. I apologize if you experienced such a moment, and that certain items may not have been appropriately replenished. Thank you again for being our guest this past weekend.

clean rooms, nice friendly staff, close to Nokia for interviews. I would recommend this place to a friend. Very nice restaurant on the hotel property and just down the street in a shopping plaza. The parking lot is in front of the main entrance and very convenient.

We are pleased to hear that our proximity to Nokia made it convenient for your stay with us last week. Our friendly associates try very hard to provide clean and comfortable accommodations for our guests so thank you for recognizing their efforts.

We booked this on the website(as recommended by the venue) to stay at after our daughter's wedding. From setting up the arrangements by phone to the morning after breakfast the staff & personal at this hotel could not have done enough for me my family & guest. The rooms( booked 15 rooms) were clean and available when the guest from out of state arrived early that day. The front desk worked with my wife to give out welcome bags, Jayne was more then helpful when working with my wife & daughter. My family, friends and I have no complaints about the stay here. My wife & I may just book a night to enjoy the restaurant & relax. Thanks to all at the Best Western Murray Hill for making this part of the wedding stress free.

This Best Western is A+ for everything from the service to the restaurant and more. It's great to have a restaurant on site s owe don't have to go out again and it was the same lace for a free hot/cold breakfast. The rooms were great and the beds comfortable. I had given this place a bad review but I thought we were at a differant hotel. Again this if A+ on everything

Check-in late evening and was met by a charming lady. She was attentive and processed my check in quickly. The place has seen better days with wall paper bathroom and popcorn ceiling.but overall it is reasonably clean and feel homey. Breakfast was included. There is a shuttle to surrounding, nearby locations. .

Housekeeping was horrible.One morning the beds were very sloppy and garbage was not picked up and the pillows were left on the floor. The next morning only 1 of the beds were made and still garbage around. Not even sure if sinks were cleaned Pillows still on the floor. Other than housekeeping we didn't have any complaints. This is my first time to complaining about Best Western but we will continue to stay in a Best Western.

hotel is overall very nice, decent restaurant, very nice bed/pillows. and room is large. a/c blew moist air, and exercise room is a bit small for the size of hotel. location is good, we were surprised there were not more hotel options near all the corporate offices in this part of nj

Impossible to sleep due to smell. Room air is really bad. The airconditioning unit pushed bad smell air to the room. Hard to breathe due to bad smell I do not recommend this hotel. They need to fix the smell problem immediately

I am very sorry that you had an unpleasant experience with us recently and it is unfortunate that we were not aware of it while you were staying with us. In light of your comments about a "bad smell" we have taken action by replacing the A/C unit in the room you occupied in case that was a contributing factor. Again, I am sorry very that we did not have an opportunity to resolve this while you were with us.

We stayed at this hotel for a family reunion. The hotel staff was all very professional and helpful. Breakfast included hot items - eggs and ham and oatmeal in addition to dry cereals, bread and sweet rolls and fruit. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Our reunion was in Summit, NJ and the hotel was very convenient.

Nice room, well equipped and clean if a little unusual layout. Wine at check-in and cookies available later. Plenty parking but your gps may find it difficult to get here - use Google maps which finds it easily. Convenient for Bell Labs (Nokia).

Up here with several family members. Rooms are good size, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff are very helpful. Full service including room service. Had a whirlpool tub during a previous stay. Quite an enjoyable place.

The room was very clean, had a couch, desk, microwave, good size refrigerator, nice bathroom and the room even included a Keurig coffee maker. We had the king size bed, very nice. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. It included hot oatmeal with many toppings, 4 or 5 different kinds of cereals, pancakes and waffles with fresh strawberries, rasberries, and black berries for toppings, home fried potatoes, eggs, sausage, bread pudding, toast, bagels, donuts, fresh fruit, juices and coffee and everything was presented beautifully. Enrique, the breakfast and restaurant manager, was there to greet us and show us all the selections. He does an incredible and amazing job there and I can't say enough how nice the breakfast was that he and his staff prepared. In my opinion, you won't be disappointed. It was a very quiet hotel. Parking lot was full but we never heard other guests

We arrived at 10 pm & left early the following day but the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom is pretty swanky. The staff is very friendly and overall I was pleased. Extra pillows in rooms as well. The breakfast was great: scrambled eggs, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, sausage...it was very filling and offered a lot, even bread pudding. The fitness room was small but offered what I needed.

Items which were offered before, are not offered now during breakfast at Moe's restaurant. Items like bottled water, bananas, large selection of fruit yogurt, are not offered any more.I was expecting a better breakfast to be served at the restaurant.It has gotten worse.

Thank you for recent comments about our breakfast and I am sorry if you were not able to find what you expected in the morning. While we try to rotate many of our offerings on a regular basis, the items that will always be present are bottled water, assorted yogurts, and assorted whole fruits. We usually have at least 3 different fruits in the morning and I am sorry if bananas were not available during your stay. We hope we have an opportunity to serve you in the future.

I stayed for two weeks, the hotel is clean, breakfast is very good and complimentary, rich of cold and hot food, sweet and salty. Waiters and waitresses know what to do, always nice with customers, I appreciated that. good Laundry service, guest attendant always takes care of your problems and try the best way to solve them.

Nice hotel with kitchen which helps us to stay close to the home cooked food... clean, quiet and safe environment makes the trip a memorable one.. The staff was good and co-operative..only concerns is that you get all kinds of smells from almost every room when you walk on the hallway...some are delicious but some are :)

Great hotel--we came to help care for a new granddaughter and spent 2.5 weeks here--it was a delightful experience from Waiter Enrique's wonderful smile and helpful service at breakfast to Blanch's fresh baked cooking at night. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Murray Hill Hotel for one night during a recent road trip. I chose this hotel based primarily on its location; we stayed here after visiting a relative in nearby Millington and were heading into NYC the next day. We were also considering taking the train into NYC (though we didn't), so the nearby Murray Hill train station was another plus. We had a pretty good experience overall. The decor in the hotel common areas and rooms is a bit dated, but the light-colored wood used throughout gives the hotel a very warm and homey feel. The lobby area is in an open two-story atrium, and the warm woods and large stone fireplace give it the feel of a ski chalet. The room had a large mini-fridge and microwave, and a comfortable bed (the pillows were a bit small for a king bed). The bathroom sink and counter were a bit small, but the night-light bathroom light switch was a nice touch. The water pressure in the shower could have been better but it was okay. The AC unit is under the window and the fan runs continuously when the AC is on. The window curtains don't come down all the way because of the AC, so they don't block morning daylight very well. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good and served in Moe's Bistro, located in the hotel near the lobby. Moe's has live music on Friday and Saturday nights, but when we went to check it out on Saturday night around 9:30 or so, they were already closed. Our stay at the Best Western was pleasant and we didn't have any issues, and it was reasonably priced. We would stay there again if we were spending the night in the area.

We are glad that our convenient location near the Murray Hill train station was a factor in selecting us as your hotel. Thank you for recognizing our "homey feel" and it is always great to hear that the comfortable bed met your expectations. I am sorry if the A/C unit was running continuously because usually the "auto" selection will allow for the fan to cycle on and off. We hope you do come to try Moe's Bistro because it is a fantastic restaurant and quickly becoming a local favorite. Thank you for choosing our hotel for your recent visit to the New Providence area.

The hotel could not have been nicer except for the odor in the room. The staff was great, the service was excellent. Everyone in the hotel was very accommodating. I would visit the hotel again but in a different room on the 2nd floor not the first.

I have reviewed this property in the past, as I have stayed here multiple times over the years. That said, two years had passed since my last stay, so I'll add a new update. For good or bad, all my observations from the past carry through to this review. The hotel is old but holding up. They do a good job of keeping things looking good, but you can tell the building is quite old. As has been the case during every single of my past visits, the hotel was hosting large groups of wedding guests. This time, there were two separate groups. The hotel must have been fully booked, as they called a few days before our arrival to confirm our intention to come, even though I'd prepaid the room. Still, check-in was smooth and efficient. When I saw the posted schedule of van services shuttling guests to the two weddings, I had fears of again hearing scores of people arriving back late from the receptions, but this time I only heard one group of people come in, so not too bad. The rooms are large, but the bathrooms -- even though they were recently updated to include very dark formica-like coverings -- are still cramped. The makeovers, in fact, make them look almost dingy, with the dark brown colors. My complaints about the stay carry over from previous stays. First, the beds are small. The rooms could easily accommodate two queen-size beds, but they have full-size mattresses, which are snug for two people sharing. The biggest issue remains with the HVAC units. Even though it was not humid during our stay, our room was damp. I cannot figure out how this hotel still has issues with removing humidity from their rooms. The windows were fogged inside and the sheets felt damp. The bright spot remains the complimentary breakfast. Selection was a bit reduced from our last visit, but it still included hot and cold items, and lots of seating. If you have to be in New Providence, then stay here, but weigh location and cost very carefully.

First of all, I would like to thank you for being a repeat guest to our hotel over the past several years, and for taking a few moments to share your experience. While the hotel was built in the 1980's we are pleased with the many renovations and upgrades we have completed in the past couple of years. Your comment about our high occupancy was accurate and since we often have limited or no availability on weekends, we do in fact call to confirm reservations prior to arrival. I agree with you that it would be nice to place two Queen beds in some rooms but the dimensions of the rooms with two beds only allow for double beds due to federal accessibility requirements. I apologize if the settings and/or performance of the A/C unit created an excessive amount of moisture in the room, and that particular unit has now been replaced. Thank you for recognizing the extensive breakfast buffet as being a "bright spot" because it has become very popular with our guests. Finally, our renovated bathrooms are equipped with commercial grade granite and tile throughout and I am sorry if the darker colors did not suit your preference. I blocked rooms at this hotel for my wedding in late May. I was told that with ten rooms booked we would have a complimentary standard room for the bride and groom for 1 night. With this knowledge, I stayed two nights. The day after my wedding when I was checking out, I realized that the hotel had charged for my full stay, despite the fact that I had ten rooms booked for that evening with all my guests. I wanted to dispute it but was told that JANE the front desk manager would not be in until Tuesday since she was out for Memorial Day. But since I was flying out to my honeymoon the next day did not have a chance to make the call. When I returned from my honeymoon to dispute the charges with JANE the manager, she literally scoffed at me with a snooty faux british accent and stated that I would need TEN rooms booked (NOT including the bride and groom's room) , and since that meant technically I had only NINE booked rooms, she would not honor my 1 complimentary night's stay. It is unreasonable and I expressed that I had brought their hotel a lot of business that day and had also ordered catering at their restaurant in the lobby for my guests , and she interrupted and said, "Im sorry you feel that way but your room booking was very small, there are other guests who blocked like 30 rooms" and essentially they didnt give THEM any preferential treatment. So now this made me feel very insulted that because I only had brought them business of TEN ROOMS it was small for them and not worth their effort and energy to treat us with reasonable care and consideration. I expressed I would not recommend their hotel to future guests and that I would file a formal complaint. JANE the manager scoffed and said that she was confident that their hotel will continue to get a lot of business and that I was free to put my review out there. So here I am. This hotel is nothing fancy. Do not settle for this place if you are getting married in the area. You do not want your handsome groom carrying you through the door of this shoddy sad poorly managed establishment. Their wifi did not work. Their "GYM" was a disgrace and was neglected and poor quality. Please look elsewhere.

We needed to attend a wake and funeral. We stayed at Best Western. Staff at front desk was very helpful in telling us how to get to where we needed to go. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a plus and there were staff in there too who were just great!

New Jersey is MUCH prettier than what you see from the interstate highways. Very nice hotel in a very nice neighborhood. One of the very best free breakfasts I've ever seen at a Best Western. The bed room was a tad small, but the suite style made up for that.

Staff was very accommodating and efficient. Room was fine - could have used more light at the desk. Bathroom was okay - but more counter space would have been nice; fan & heater were quite noisy. Closet area was very tight. Yes, I would come back here.

I stayed here for three nights while in the area on business. The staff are friendly, helpful and service at the desk was prompt and efficient. The room was clean and decently furnished, and the wifi worked well. The heating/air conditioning unit was a little frustrating as it was difficult to get a setting that was comfortable - it could use updating to a more modern unit. The included breakfast buffet was serviceable, but not exceptional and was the other area where a small improvement would be much appreciated. Other than those two items, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

All of the digital A/C units in the hotel were purchased within the last couple of years, and I am sorry if you found it difficult to operate. Very well priced hotel convenient to major highways while being in a very pleasant suburb in the Summit/Chatham/Morristown area. Direct train service to NYC. Decor is dated but it's clean and safe. If you need an upscale experience this isn't it. If, however, you want all the benefits of a good hotel in this area at a reasonable cost - this hotel is an excellent value.

This place needs a major overhaul. The staff, service and facilities are fine (though nobody overly impressed us) for the price (pretty cheap), and its not dirty. Just very dated and carpets and tapestries in the rooms smell of old days when smoking was permitted.

Everything was great, internet was decently fast, bed was conformable, they give lots of pillows which is a huge plus (we booked the king bed), comfortable and clean sheets/comforter, temperature easy to adjust, outlets everywhere bathroom was impeccable. Breakfast was served in the restaurant, everything was perfect except they id not have OJ or Apple juice which seemed strange, maybe they ran out for the duration of my stay. But other than that it was a great experience.

Stayed there for my daughter and son-inlaw's wedding. Shuttled us back and forth to venue at Berkley Plaza. Terrific place to stay. Delicious breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Clean rooms with refrig and micro waves. Kurig machine, Too.

The restaurant is pricey but dinner was surprisingly good. 5 of us stayed in different rooms, all had problems with wifi. Speed 2-60mb. Internet access problems. I'll give it one more try the next time I'm in the area. Staff was polite. Exercise room is weak. Weights to 8 lbs. A couple cardio machines and a couple resistance machines.

As I discussed with you while you were staying with us, we have tested the internet access points in question and they have since been replaced. I am very sorry that you and your colleagues experienced an inconsistent experience with our WiFi. Thank you for recognizing the politeness of our associates during your stay. Hopefully, our recently purchased Multi-Functional Trainer will be installed in our Fitness Room for your return visit to the hotel.

The heater was extremely noisy, squealing all night. The TV remote was worn badly so that a few buttons didn't work. The shower head only allowed a trickle despite very high water pressure in the tub. The electrical outlets were so worn that my chargers would only connect in one outlet in the room. It's just tired. Please update it! It was quiet though. And the staff was excellent.

I apologize that during your 4 night stay that one or more of the highlighted issues impacted your stay with us. During a thorough inspection of the room you occupied we were unable to duplicate the problems you pointed out, but have taken preventive measures just in case. While I am pleased to see that the performance of our associates met your expectations, I am disappointed that isolated maintenance concerns impacted your overall impression of our hotel. Again, I am sorry that we did not have an opportunity to address any of these concerns while you were staying with us.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the room was clean and attractive, the staffers at the front desk and in the restaurant were kind, and the food at the bistro was delicious (terrific dinner and fantastically varied breakfast options). Best of all, the restaurant had a quiet (you could still hold a conversation easily) but smart and accomplished entertainer, the singer/guitarist/songwriter Joe Janci, whose music was truly enjoyable. A delight all around!

Comfortable, well equipped hotel. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Everything was clean and set up to create a pleasant stay. The hotel staff were very helpful. We had a slight issue with GF/vegan breakfast options and the restaurant staff were unable to help. We had to buy our own and take it in each morning in the end. I wouldn't be able to recommend that you ate there if you were coeliac. The other breakfast options were fine though.

The hotel is decent, the front desk lady was very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding which directed us to a very good pizza restaurant. The rooms however are outdated, but are clean and comfortable.

My family of 6 (4 kids ranging from 7-13) needed to stay at the Murray Hill Inn because our house was still under construction when we came back from vacation over the summer. Due to the construction taking much longer than anticipated, our 2 week stay was extended to 6 weeks. Each and every staff member was excellent! The room was cleaned every day to perfection. They could not have been more accommodating to us. Everyone was super nice and made us feel right at home! The free breakfast was amazing!! Thanks to Kerry and his awesome staff!!! The Cook Family

Your recent review of our hotel and associates' performance certainly sets the tone for this new year. We thank you for taking the time to share your experience during your 6 weeks with us, and are pleased to see that we ended 2015 on a high note! Your comments validate what we try so hard to achieve and remind each of us that providing superior customer care goes a long way with our guests. We hope you and your family are enjoying your new home, and I thank you for recognizing the efforts of an amazing group of individuals I call my team.

Hits and misses. Bed - super comfortable. I would like to own that bed. Tv controller is "easy clean" hopefully they do, first time I've seen those so it was a nice touch. The grounds and hotel. Rooms look remodeled. The covered drive up is probably nice when its raining and you have old people in the car. The free coffee is good. Misses. We were lucky it wasn't colder, when the heater (or AC I guess in summer) comes on it was loud enough to wake you early or keep you awake when trying to get to sleep. Water pressure was terrible as was the crappy dollar store shower head. Tried to get it off of "cold mist" but then it seemed to only dribble. GYM has a treadmill and elliptical and a DANGEROUS looking weight machine. Weights on one of the sets have pin badly pulled, like if you tried to fix it so you could use it you could crush a finger. And a sort of odd these days sauna. I enjoyed the Sauna - nice throw back to the 70's. I would say it is about as nice as a 1970's vintage hotel could be - its clean. Its not on Route 22 (bonus) Most of the staff was welcoming and friendly. ESPECIALLY the breakfast lady- she seemed to be happy you were there. Nice that they have computers in the upstairs hall to use if you don't have your own along. We arrived to an empty hotel on Christmas day - earlier than check in time - and were told to come back later - but that the reservation was all set. Fine a policy is a policy - just don't go out of your way. The later check in guy was a little befuddled seemed to be running the credit card through a lot (10 times through the scanner?). The breakfast stands out as a highlight- included and well better than most hotel breakfasts... eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, usual stuff too. Yes I would stay here again.

We are always pleased when our guests take the time to share their experiences, and offer objective feedback for us to improve upon. Allow me to start with the "misses" by saying that I am sorry we were not aware of the inconvenience with the heat/ac unit because we certainly would have changed you to another room immediately. These units can of course experience isolated issues and we try our best to resolve the problem once it is reported. The restricted flow shower heads in our guest rooms are in fact a brand requirement, but we will certainly check to see if the one in your room is restricting flow more than it should. We recently purchased new equipment for our Fitness Center but the Multi-Functional Trainer (to replace the gym set you referred to) is on back-order. I am sorry that it was not on site during your recent stay. Finally, although our "check in" time is 3pm, we always do our best to accommodate early arrivals because we prefer that guests not have to wait in our lobby. However, we are 100% occupied over the Christmas holiday and often our "departures" request late checkouts, and this pushes everything back a bit. Although we still have rooms ready for our arrivals by 3pm, we simply cannot accommodate the number of early arrivals. In response to the "befuddled" Guest Services Representative, we have just installed a new property management system and there is of course a learning curve. I am sorry for any inconvenience during the process. In response to the "Hits" from your stay, I want to thank you for recognizing a few of our strengths as well. We are pleased that a "highlight" of your stay was the breakfast buffet and the Breakfast Attendant. We understand the importance of this guest amenity and try very hard to deliver the very best! We do hear great feedback regarding our comfortable beds and glad that you were pleased as well. Thank you so much for your comments and we hope you will stay with us should your travels bring you near New Providence in the future.

Had to pick up my daughter from Philly from school and we live in Massachusetts so knowing it was too much to drive back I decided to stay overnight in familiar surroundings to cut down on the remainder of the trip (I grew up in that town). We arrived late - room was ready and clean -breakfast was really good - and staff was friendly - I don't expect much more than that - A convenient place to stay especially if you want to visit NYC -

Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting the area to see family. Good location, felt safe travelling alone. Good value, very comfortable bed but shower needs updating. Room was a bit musty but leaving the window cracked seemed to help. Clean room, sizable bathroom. Easy and free parking.

The hotel is spotless with personnel that are knowledgeable and helpful with nice personalities. The room was spotless with a mini kitchen and tea and coffee. The breakfast was good and had a very good varity of food. Have stayed there before and will certainly go back.

This is our second stay in two years at this hotel. All of the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help. Our king room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Our room had nice size refrigerator and microwave. There was a nice variety at breakfast and the woman managing the breakfast area was friendly and very helpful. The new restaurant Moe's was terrific. Lots of great unique food choices. The Mediterranean Pizza was terrific. Make sure you take home some of their hummus! I highly recommend this hotel.

From the moment you drive-up to this hotel you know it's not going to be good. Then you walk into the lobby, and it's worse. Our particular room had a strong mildew odor that made all of our clothes smell after we left. The whole hotel needs a remodel, though.

I am very sorry to hear that you had a problem with your room, and that we did not have an opportunity to correct the problem. I wish we would have known that you were unhappy with the accommodations because we could have moved you immediately. Your comment about remodeling is timely because we have been undergoing renovations for the past few months. While phase one has addressed the guest bathrooms, furnishings, and Moe's Bistro, the public areas (to include the lobby and front desk area) will be completed in phase two, beginning next month. Clean, up to date room, great breakfast, nice staff, at a nice price. Rare to get more for your money, so this is a treat! Will definitely stay here again next trip. I got the best price by paying in full ahead of time.

Great hotel in the town of New Providence, New Jersey. A treasure of a restaurant called Moe's Bistro is a must while staying there. The Mediterranean food is amazing and Moe is a great host! The hotel staff is professional and kind. Rooms were big and comfortable. Small refrigerator and microwave was a plus along with service team attentive to room details. Highly recommend for both business and pleasure.

We had an event in the area, and took the train in from Eastern Long Island. Was an easy walk to the hotel from the train station. Staff was friendly. Short walk into town. Nice breakfast served in the morning. We found the layout of the room to be a little strange, and somewhat dated, but all in all it was a worthwhile stay at a reasonable price.

Hotel is reasonable. A bit outdated but has all necessary amenities. Convenient distance to Alcatel-Lucent office. Exactly what you would expect from a Best Western Plus hotel. Rooms are clean and beads are comfortable

What a wonderful place to stay! My family and I went on a cruise leaving out of NYC and needed a place to stay for one night that was close but yet economical. I'm/we were completely satisfied with our choice. I would stay here again and again. Great people and a wonderful place. Clean, well kept, and affordable!

It's my second stay in this hotel during my business trips and I have to say that it's probably "he BEST Western hotel I've seen. The location (in New Providence) really elevates the quality of this hotel and the service. It's nice, clean, quiet,convenient. it's just neat. You might not need to rent a car with the train station located in a walkable distance. Just make sure the trains still work if you are coming from the Newark airport late at night.

This hotel was so clean I thought it was newly renovated. We had a good stay and the staff was very nice. They had a nice complimentary meat and cheese plate with local wine the night we arrived. Also good cookies and beverages available all the time.

We are glad that our newly renovated hotel made for a great stay and that the clean rooms and friendly staff complimented the experience. Our welcome reception held mid-week allows us to visit with our guests, while letting them sample items from our new restaurant. It is very nice to see that the cookies at the front desk were well received, and provided that extra touch of hospitality.

My aunt was celebrating her 80th birthday in Summit and the Best Western Plus in New Providence looked like a good and close place to spend the night. Overall, great place. The front desk people were very nice, the room seemed clean, bed comfy. Had a fridge (which I LOVE when my room has a fridge) and a microwave. Wifi seemed good. TV good with a good selection of channels. Shower OK. There was a robe in my room but I didn't use it. AC worked well. I sleep with one of those noise apps on my phone so I didn't hear any loud noises during the night. One small thing I thought was great. I HATE it when you turn on the AC and it blows the curtain all over the place. They have a plastic container along the top of the AC where you, uh, tuck the curtain into. I'm not explaining it well but it keeps the curtain from blowing all over. Breakfast the next day was OK. I mean, it was't OMG this is great, but it was pretty good for a free breakfast. Had some scrambled eggs and sausage, with apple juice. They had a couple different juices, waffles (I think), yogurt, etc. Nice spread. Not just a couple prepackaged muffins and coffee. I didn't leave the hotel (only there one night) so I can't speak about area restaurants, close to business offices, etc. I don't know when I'll be visiting my aunt again but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Your overall experience of a "great place" tells us that we succeeded in providing you with superior customer care. As you mentioned, we do try to handle the small details as well (plastic diffuser for drapes) because we know they matter. Finally, our "nice spread" for breakfast is exactly the feedback we like to hear!

This hotel is very convenient to the office in Murray Hill, NJ. The value, condition, cleanliness, food and location ranks among the BEST in this AREA! It is convenient to Restaurants, shopping and major expressways and only 25 miles to Newark Airport.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. The location was perfect for our needs. We held two bus tours and the first one was in northern New Jersey and the second one was to NYC.

I've been in several hotels in the past 2 months and I must say this has been the best value! Great room! Excellent staff! Very good breakfast AND it's complimentary!! Spacious rooms and very clean. I usually look for inexpensive accommodations just for a good bed and bath but this was the best! Best Best Western ever!
