SureStay By Best Western East Brunswick - One Star Review My wife and I booked a room here based on the photos and Best Western's reputation. As members of Best Western's reward program, we've stayed at many of their hotels over the years, but this was by far the worst experience we've ever had. We checked in at 7:15 PM Eastern time. After swiping our card, we went to the room only to find it hadn't been cleaned. The floor hadn't been vacuumed, and the bedsheets were dirty and didn't even fit the bed (the flat sheet was for a double bed, not a queen). There wasn't a single lamp in the room. The bathroom had about a third of a roll of toilet paper, no Kleenex, and only two gross pillows for the bed. The clock radio was plugged into the wall, but its two USB A outlets didn't work. To top it all off, the room smelled strongly of marijuana smoke, which filled the hallway as well. Realizing the girl at the front desk wasn't going to do anything but encourage us to wait until the next day, I called the national Best Western Customer Relations number and spoke with 'Tiffany.' I told her of the issues, and she asked me to wait while she contacted the property. About three minutes later, Tiffany got back on the line and said somebody would be right up to help. After about half an hour, the maintenance guy arrived and said he was there to "fix the radio." When I asked him about the dirty room, etc., he advised that he and the front desk girl were the only staff available. The general manager had been out on maternity leave and the assistant manager resigned and went to a different property weeks ago. I'd like to add that this maintenance guy was very helpful. When he told us about there being no manager or assistant manager, things began to make sense in terms of the horrible condition of this property. When the maintenance guy looked at our room, he said, "What happened to this place?" He went around the whole room and noted the lack of lamps, only one working light in the room, no linens, minimal toilet paper, no Kleenex, dirty carpet, etc. He was very apologetic and explained how he took pride in the motel, but if it were him he wouldn't stay at the place either. He also confirmed that there were no sheets or a vacuum cleaner available because the motel contracts with an outside firm that brings all those things when they show up in the morning. We went out early the next day, and when we came back around 5 PM Eastern, the room was exactly the same as the night before—it hadn't been cleaned. The contract housekeepers had left at 3 PM Eastern, so we were out of luck until they showed up the next day at 9 AM—when we planned to leave. At that point, we packed up and left. Also, Tiffany—the customer relations person who told us somebody would help us—went home at 5 PM AZ time, so she abandoned us on this too. When I called back, I spoke with Michelle who said that she worked in reservations and couldn't help us. She confirmed that the customer relations department had closed. The day after we left, I called the Best Western Customer Relations department again and this time spoke with "Chris" who was very nice and told us that they would "look into" the situation when I told him I wanted a refund for both nights. It's been a week now and I haven't heard anything from Best Western. Looking at various review sites, I see that others have also had this poor 'one star' experience. But the overall rating of the motel is moderate because somebody posts five-star reviews to buoy up the overall rating. The 4 and 5-star reviews all sound like they're written by the same person, highlighting the location, amenities, etc. Obviously, these glowing reviews are posted by the management. Avoid this place if you value cleanliness, service, and a decent night's sleep. This experience has seriously made us reconsider staying at Best Western properties in the future.
I stayed at Surestay Best Western Hotel East Brunswick NJ from June 9-13. Room was clean, everything worked, however extra 80USD was charged to my credit card. I paid my stay via well known travel agency and tax included. I have written to Best Western 2 times so far, 20 days passed, but there is no return about what happened and why this 80USD charged to my credit card. No information was given to me from the hotel. I have been coming and going to America as a tourist for 35 years and this is the first time I have encountered such nonsense.
I had the worst experience ever staying at this hotel. The two-star rating should be downgraded to one star due to the poor treatment of guests and the terrible conditions of the rooms. Unfortunately, I would never choose to stay here myself, but as a wedding vendor, I had no choice but to stay here for an event. I was assured of a late check-out for my stay, but the service I received was appalling. At 12 PM, I was harassed for leaving the room, even though the parking lot was empty, clearly indicating low occupancy. It felt more like a hotel that caters to short stays. Despite informing the front desk that I would leave, within five minutes, a cleaning lady knocked on the door. Shortly after, a rude maintenance man appeared, demanding I vacate the room immediately. To make matters worse, the non-smoking room I was given reeked of cigarette smoke, and the walls were paper thin—you could hear every noise from the surrounding rooms. Being treated like a squatter at a place you're paying to stay, along with dealing with such poor room conditions, is horrendous and unacceptable. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Even though I booked a mobility accessible room thru Best Western, a mobility accessible room was NOT available. The front desk manager said the accessible room had not been cleaned and the maids left at 3:00. This was the 2nd Best Western motel that did not have an accessible room that I had booked. My wife is in a wheelchair and really needs an accessible room. All other motels on a 16 day trip had accessible rooms. The ground floor room the manager put us in was not very clean and the A/C did not work very well.
Hotel is run down. Rooms reek of cigarette smoke and marijuana. Rugs were filthy, bathroom faucet broken, HVAC old and dirty and hard to regulate. A lot of people live there full time and loiter around the property blocking the sidewalks, smoking, heavy marijuana smell. Breakfast was Jimmy Dean Sandwiches. No room to sit, filled with the people who live there. It's too bad because the location isn't bad and usually Best Western products are not run down like this
Online review were right about the place. Excellent standards and very helpful staff. Very and close to transport.
It was an excellent stay. Customer service was outstanding! Very nice and they were there to help me with anything I needed in a timely fashion. My room was very clean and comfortable and close to restaurants and grocery stores if I needed it. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get away and relax for a few days. Thank you SureStay for making my stay truly memorable and I will be back soon!
In the middle of nowhere east brunswick I found this hotel last minute while I had to visit my sick uncle at the Hackensack Raritan hospital. It was just up the road on highway 18. The breakfast was great. Associates were friendly. And I got a discount at the IHOP next door when I told them I was staying at the hotel. All in all it was a good trip. Uncle is fine BTW and I'll be glad to visit this stay western again if I need to come this way.
Rooms were dirty, really disappointing. Hotel seemed like a place you rent by the hour. Will never stay there again. We only stayed because of proximity to Starland Ballroom where we were attending a concert. If it wasn't below freezing, we would have slept in the car
Staff is so friendly and accommodating. You can tell that they prioritize making guests feel welcomed and appreciated. The rooms are a great value for their price and all amenities are reliable. This hotel is my go-to.
concert at the ballroom in Sayreville. All was so clean and great. Many nice peoples they are hired. Mi family very happy. Morning food is nice and a lot of choices. I will come arrive back inn2 months for concert again. Love new hotel!
I was attending a funeral in the area and took a shot staying at this hotel. I was so pleasantly surprised. From the front desk staff to housekeeping, everyone was so welcoming and nice considering I was going through a personal crisis.
We had beautiful time with the family. I come from overseas and so overjoyed with participating at the hotel. I love to come back again next time in the summer next year. Danke and merci to all lovely people.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights during a music festival at the NJ shore. We thought the room was clean and comfortable, same as all the other Best Westerns we have experienced. The decor is a little outdated, but décor isn't high on our list of priorities. Our only negative feedback is that the breakfast selections were limited to cold cereal, instant oatmeal, and packaged pastries. We skipped the breakfast room on both days and grabbed food elsewhere. We have been spoiled by the breakfast menus at other Best Western hotels where they had scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. That being said, we would still consider staying here again next year during the festival.
This was a great place. Pleasantly surprised. All the front desk people were excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They went out of their way to help me and daughter. My room was clean and sufficient. Breakfast was really nice and the most important the wifi. The wifi was super fast and I had no trouble getting My work done without any disconnections. This was truly a memorable experience.
What a cute place in the middle of suburbia. I was in town visiting some family and this by far was beyond my expectation.i even invited some family back who have never seen the hotel. My room was on the 2nd floor. It was cleaned snd smelled lovely. Im a stickler for dust and didn't see a speck! Staff was friendly. The free breakfast was a surprise with the sandwiches. I will only stay Here going forward.
Our reservation started on a bad note, my "ADA" reservation was switched online and I missed it so partially my fault. The attendant Rosa was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. The hotel looks a little sketchy from outside, but carpets, bathroom and walls were clean but "older" inside. A/C was ice cold!! They have a COVID era housekeeping policy of "by request" which needs to be eliminated ASAP. Clean and comfortable with a few wrinkles in teh customer service. Not enough cons to not stay for us..
We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting family. It is located in a congested area and our GPS had a bit of trouble every time we got near. It is a large place, and very busy. It is handy, since you are able to park right outside of the unit, rather than needing to drag everything through a lobby. It was comfortable and provided a refrigerator and the breakfast was more than adequate. Staff was friendly. Though our room was "non smoking" there was a bit of a smoke smell and we found ashes in one of the drawers.
This place is by FAR the WORST stay at a BW we have ever had! Sketchy full time residents loitering peeking in windows as they are walking by. LOUD music till the wee hours, walls vibrating. Called front desk at 11:45 PM to report loud music and no offer to investigate was offered, basically request was ignored. Booked a Non Smoking room, upon entering room there was a very noticeable scent of stale smoke. Requested freshening of room to be done for following day that was never done. Towels/Lines had a stale odor bad enough that we bought a can of room deodorant at a local store. Witnessed residents milling around entrances to their room smoking what smelled like Marijuana. Continental breakfast was minimal and residents occupied tables and chairs. This place should be shut down it gives a bad rap to SureStay/Best Western! Avoid and go somewhere else if your looking for a decent nights sleep and the feeling of a Safe Secure Environment.
This hotel was neat and clean from the jump. Outside was clean. The lobby was very neat and updated. I think I was checked in by the manager Tanila. Very friendly. Great service. My room was large and clean. 1 King bed. Shower was hot. The next morning I had breakfast which was great. Lots of variety. Checkout was seamless. Overall a excellent trip and I will be back.
handicapped accessible rooms are over crowded and to much furniture. The door didnt lock so had to place a refrigerator in front one night and left. This used to be a great hotel but since new corporate took over it not worth staying there if disabled in anyway.
Stayed here overnight for a local concert. The clerk when we checked in was absolutely pleasant. Lobby seemed to be updated recently. We were handed the keycard and headed to our room. Upon driving around we noticed many of the ground floor doors open and children playing. It seems there are many long term residents here. Our room was on the second floor. The stair wells aren't secure(there were key card locks there that were not operational). The room itself was pretty outdated but clean. Sheets didn't stay on(kept popping off, too small)The bed was very comfortable tough. The shower had some water pressure issues that seemed to work themselves out after the water ran for about 15 minutes BUT the smell of mildew when the shower was running was a bit overbearing. The walls are VERY thin. I heard the conversations in the next room easily. Refrigerator in room ran ALL night loudly. Wouldn't stay here again.
What a great decision. I was not sure at first as I have never heard of a surestay but I have to say this was quite a surprise. Clean hotel and cool breakfast. They had mcgriddle type sandwiches. That was tasty. Lobby was nice. Outside was nice. Hallways look like theyre doing some updating and I saw a few people working up there on the walls and new carpets. Everyone was friendly. My room was excellent. Comfortable bed. Comfortable pillows. Shower was strong and hot. I will definitely be back.
The people here make want to come back over and over again. I sold my house and stayed here for 3 weeks. They were all truly amazing. Manager went above and beyond each day. The rooms were clean and smelled great. I will definitely stay again when I come to visit NmY kids.
Frequent visitor to East Brunswick New Jersey. Have stayed in all the East Brunswick New Jersey hotels and find that the SureStay is best value for the money. It's clean. All staff from front desk to housekeeping and maintenance do an excellent job.
Prices were attractive compared to the other hotels in the area. At first glance it's nothing special but the inside was clean, smelled great. Front desk people were very friendly and courteous. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was very clean. I am very sensitive to dust and chemicals but this room was very well kept. Mattress was excellent. Shower was great too. In the morning the breakfast was great. Check out was easy. Overall I would recommend to everyone.
During my visit to New Jersey stayed at this hotel and I would say that it's good value for money. Room was of average size but clean. Break fast option was basic with no hot meal provided. One can hear some noise from adjacent rooms during night but not loud enough to disturb sleep. Location of hotel is great with close proximity to malls, eatery and gas stations. A big negative is lack of swimming pool at this facility. Over all I am satisfied with stay experience at SureStay East Brunswick.
Clean hotel. Have stayed there many times and never found any mysterious bugs while staying there. Breakfast (grab and go) consists of yogurt, fruit, cereal, or a muffin with juice or coffee. Prices have soared over the summer but it's usually priced well. Nice staff and management. Wi-Fi is good.
My suggestion is that you find another Motel...They call this a Hotel, but it is not!....This place was dingy and smelled. We had a hole in the ceiling of our room where the Fire Alarm was, The bathroom was so small I had to step into the Bathtub in order to close the door and the sink are was outside of the bathroom so there was no privacy. We met several other customers in passing who all told us at some point that they had just sold their homes and that is why they were staying there, which raised red flags as if the place was a shelter. The only good thing about our stay, and not really, was their breakfast. It was what I expected. All things you had to microwave, no sit down service, so that was okay, but other than that. I would never stay here again. Run as fast as you can.
We were met with our first ever Karen. Yelling at the receptionist was the first Karen I've ever met. When I tried to intervene she almost lost her mind. Felt bad for desk staff. Manager handled that situation very well. Although things look very old, everything was clean and worth the price. 99 on a weekend is a steal in this area. Beds were cool. Pillows were like a luxe hotel. Smelled like lemons throught the entire place. I'll be back.
To my surprise this was a very peasant trip. The hotel was clean once we entered the lobby. The exterior was clean and well maintained. Some sketchy looking people but overall I felt safe with my family for 5 nights. Staff was excellent. Super friendly. My room was clean and spotless. I recommend to everyone in the central Middlesex area.
I've stayed here a few times because its close to where I have to travel to. however, the BEDS ARE horrible !! there is only a mattress and the hard platform bed ! the mattress itself is Old and you can feel the springs coming out of the bed . making it for a terrible nights sleep ! they need new brand new mattress is with the box frame and platform with it. And along with breakfast there is plenty of bread and cereal but it would be nice to have some breakfast meats sausage or bacon . I'm sure the hotel brings in a lot of revenue to provide brand new mattress is for all rooms. over all the room was nice and clean. Also in handicap rooms you should make sure that the bars and the shower seats connected to the wall it's sturdy ! I would stay away more often if the amenities were elevated ( the New Bed )
My company placed me.here for work for a few days. This is a nice hotel with decent amenities for the price. No pool but that's not a deal breaker. Breakfast had a lot of good options. Pretty big variety of items. I had the sausage egg and cheese sandwich and an oikos yogurt. The room was very clean. Furniture seemed a little outdated but clean nonetheless. Hallways smelled great. I very specifically rememebr a lemon lavender smell throughout my stay. The staff was incredible. Always helping me get around and with options for food. Manager helped me secure another best western in Chicago for the second leg of my business trip. She was great. I hope I get to visit this area again soon. I would recommend this location for anyone looking for standard basic accommodations. Definitely worth it.
So...I left Massachusetts during a sleet, ice and rain storm with a nervous, traumatized dog, I just had returned to me. I was heading South to NC to bring the dog to her new home. But, I decided I needed to stop to let the dog and me, relax. We stopped here in NJ. At first glance the room looked ok, so I brought the dog in and our stuff. Then I noticed the table the coffee maker was on, was gooey from coffee splashes....then around the sink, gobs of soap, then the bedside table who knows what was on that. I called the front desk and asked for cleaning supplies, he was very apologetic and told me to come and get some. I usually carry then with me but was in a rush to leave before the storm got worse, so I forgot to pack it. I cleaned everything, it needed it for sure!!! Then decided to take a shower...eek! I forgot to look in there. So much hair everywhere! On the walls, on the shower curtain, in the tub, etc. So I called the front desk again. Again apologetic. Offered me a new room, which I agreed to check out. No hair in tub but, again everything else was dirty. I was too tired to clean another room. I opted to stay, I just didn't get to take a hot shower. The room was in front, which seemed convenient, but it was very noisy. There were a lot of cars coming and going all night.
My room on the second floor was very spacious and clean. This is very important during covid. I saw the lobby staff cleaning quite a few times during my stay. Employees are all wearing masks and are quite professional. Clean hallways. Mt room smelled like lemons when I came in so that really makes me comfortable. I will be back and recommend to all
My room was very clean, and the staff at the front desk were excellent ... especially upon my arrival. Although the hotel does not have many amenities, I also did not EXPECT it. My priorities were CLEAN and affordable, which is exactly what I received ... Kudos to the SureStay Hotel team. This will now be my new preferred choice when in the area.
Bad customer service, bathroom in the lobby was out of service. If you arrive early and they have rooms available they will ask you to pay an extra $20. TV has very few channels and not clear. Luckily we only stayed one night. Never again stay at This facility.
This cute little hotel off of the main state highway 18. Very close to 95. Great area. You can walk to a variety or restaurants or shopping. The hotel itself is very clean. Lobby looks great. Staff constantly cleaning. Then the rooms were spotless. Furniture is a little old but still it was very clean. Room smelled great too. If I can suggest 1 thing, it would be to spend some money to replace carpets in hallways and rooms. Other than that everything was great.
I like that there is a mall across the street. The staff were friendly and accommodating. However the room was dated and the carpet had stains and cigarette burns. The furniture was beat and I dislike the little pillows. If you don't mind staying in a frumpy room and need a great location, this is the ticket. Oh, I did enjoy the breakfast buffet.
I have to say this was a last minute getaway. I was initially not sure about this hotel but WOW what an amazing hotel! I cannot believe some of the older reviews. This place was immaculately clean. The staff was absolutely winning. They were so friendly and helpful. The manager woman went out of her way to help us out. I was just taken back by the energy and morale of this group of people. Everyone down to the maids were welcoming. Even if I have nothing to do in this area, I will be returning. I recommend this best Western for everyone. Breakfast was a hit with the family and room was super clean. Smelled like lemons and lavender.
Our room still had a previous guests coffee in the fridge. The microwave did not spin at all. The beds were comfortable but they were two different levels of queen beds. The door to our room had a huge gap. The bath was especially run down with the faucet to the bathroom somewhat detached from the wall. The sink faucet was unusual and hard to use.
I reccommened this hotel for all travelers. In the middle of the pandemic these workers came in everyday and worked hard each day. Even when they are short staffed they made it work. Everyone was always cleaning and with a smile I might add. My room was clean and smelled great like lemons. It was an excellent stay overall. Food was good. The area around is great too. Everything in walking distance.
Looked pretty clean on the outside, but not so on the inside. We arrived late so getting another room was not an option. Walked in and had a musty odor. The chain on the door was broken and the weather stripping on the door was gone. You could see daylight coming through and wide enough for insects to get in. Went to take a shower and the light was not very bright. Had to use my cell phone for light to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. When I woke up I looked up at the light and noticed that whomever painted the room, never painted around the light. They used a roller and never used a brush to make the perfect circle around the light. When I went o brush my teeth and turned on the water, it came out like a bat out of hell. splattered everywhere. Call the front desk to ask about the ice machine. Was told where it was but was not told it was out of order. So had to go find one on the 2nd floor and that was not in the best condition either. Considering the chain name, you would think this would be a great quality hotel but looks were deceiving. Not worth the money. Don't let the breakfast fool you either.
This hotel is located in a perfect area. Everything is walkable. Restaurants, mall, grocery store, liquor store, gas, etc It was very conveniently located. The employees were excellent. Manager went out of her way to ensure me and my friends had a fun time in this area. Rooms were clean. A little outdated but overall clean and it looked very taken care of.
I was amazed by sowm of the reviews seen for this hotel. I have to say the employees here were absolutely amazing. Front the desk to the cleaners, every aspect of my stay was exceptional. Breakfast was great considering covid. Great variety. Even some sausage egg and cheese sandwiches. Classic nj breakfast with hot sauce. Very pleasantly surprised and I will be back many times over.
complained to manager, was told we would not be allowed back. was never told room would not be cleaned, or that we woiuld not get towels. if we wanted towels we could get them between 9:00 am ans 10:30 am only. fridge had to be replaced, made so much noise couldn't sleep.
So we check in to the hotel and get into our 1st room (I will explain why I said 1st hotel). The first room we noticed the toilet did not flush. We called the front desk and the lady offered to give us another room. We had to walk back to the lobby and get a new room key. We get to the second room and the shower faucet was sticking out of the wall, but works with hot water. There was sticky spots on the carpet, one over large mattress with a smaller box spring on top and our TV didn't work. I called the front desk again to let her know what happened. She again offered me another room key. We were tired of moving and just was frustrated from lugging all of our stuff around ugh. We didn't feel like moving anymore. On top of that my Dad had a room here also and this 1st room the sink water didn't go down with big bugs in the shower. Plus there was only one wash cloth in the room!!! His second room was supposed to bed a non smoking room but the room smelled like cigars! So he has to move to a 3rd room and it was a smoky smell but it was doable. I decided not to change my room since it was slim pickings, at least the bathroom worked even tho we didn't have a working TV smh. We used our laptop and phones to watch TV. Were moving to another hotel for the remaining two nites visiting this area!
Few of past issues under new owners. Fairly well maintained. Issues from years ago aren't current. Fifth stay at this property. Serving a grab and go light breakfast. Well located and clean, lots of restaurants and walkable Brunswick Square Mall.
"Sketch" is how our children described this hotel. The lobby looks nice, the rooms are out of date, dirty. I did not see any cleaning staff and our room was not serviced the two nights we stayed. There was a cigarette burn on our toilet seat in the non-smoking room we stayed in. Beer caps and a empty beef jerky wrapper were also in our room when we arrived. The hallways wreaked of smoke and in the mornings, it was worse and wreaked of marijuana. The whole floor was a non-smoking floor. The first night we were there we were there, we had to make way for an inebriated older man who was bouncing from wall to wall of the stairwell as he tried to stand up straight and make his way downstairs. It was 6:30 p.m. on a Friday. The nightly gathering of beer & hard-seltzer drinkers by the trash can outside the second floor stairs really added to the ambiance. Leaving their beer cans and hard-seltezer cans strewn about the ground outside the door of the stairs really helped boost our opinion of the place too. The price we paid for the room was WAY TOO MUCH. We were in the area for a soccer tournament and the hotel was chosen by the travel company for our team. I know that several parents have let the team and travel company know that we would not stay at this hotel or recommend they book anyone at this hotel again.
The motel has free parking. My check in went quickly and I was given a snack bag. The rooms (which include free wi-fi and breakfast) have outside entries. The room was well laid out except for a lack of electrical outlets in useful locations. I was a bit chagrined to see hair in the sink upon my arrival. I did get a good night's sleep. My check out was quick.
worst ever. they said weed was coming from my room when i was alone and don't smoke and they then threw me out because they blamed it on me. worst hotel ever. and the house keeping lady and guy were terrible. room was still filthy. ok
Changed rooms 3 times due to broken toilets and water puddles. Third room closet door was not attached to doorframe and nearly fell on my elderly mother and I. Weird stains throughout room. Only positive was the bed was comfortable.
I stayed here during the third uptick of the covid pandemic. I must say I was surprised and very pleased with the cleanliness of this hotel. The desk staff was wiping the counters down multiple times. They cleaned the bathrooms and all high traffic areas. My room was spotless. Very clean and I felt very safe. Although I bring my own wipes everywhere I go these days, I felt comfortable knowing the staff took time to really disinfect the rooms and lobby area. I will be back hopefully once the pandemic is over.
Although their website claims rooms are sanitized, they are pretty dirty. Had to switch room upon arrival because no a/c & refrigerator not working...In 2nd room, floors were dirty, after one night, white socks worn while walking. Rice on one of the chair seats..top of beds dusty, we had to sanitize the room ourselves as best as we could....wifi not working...Ice machine on first floor broken, no ice in machine on 2nd. After two calls to front desk over 1/2 hour, ice was not replenished on 2nd floor. a/c kept running, wouldn't shut off even when reached temperature.
I stayed here a 6 or 7 yrs ago and it was TERRIBLE, so when I came to town I would stay somewhere else. I saw that is was now a SureStay Hotel so I thought there must be new owners and since it was so convenient and close I booked it for 3 nights. Well, I couldn't be more wrong. The bathroom floor was dirty, the shower curtain was not plastic so the water went right through it and flooded the bathroom floor. The internet didn't work and when I called the desk the clerk just said, "yeah I've had a few complaints about that" and that was that. The bed was hard like sleeping on cardboard, every TV channel had fuzzy snow except for one Disney channel. The website said they had a modified breakfast so I thought it would be some prewrapped muffins or juice, but was given a bag with a small water, hard as a rock trail mix bar and a rice krispy treat with m&ms in it. A new low on cheaping it out and using the Pandemic as an excuse. After one night I checked out and went someplace else.
This is the fabled hotel from Hell. I don't usually fill out hotel recommendations because they can be highly individual however I'll make an exception in this case. The heat didn't work and it was 40°outside. The hairdryer was so high on the wall my wife couldn't reach it. The door didn't lock unless you slammed it shut. The outside doors didn't close and people could walk in off the street. Breakfast is everything you would expect from reading the above, only worse. There was a strange foreign looking guy (think Borat) smoking a cigarette and leering at everyone through the lobby window. Water pressure = zilch. The hotel guests in the breakfast room looked like meth heads. Just missing roaches for a full house.
This motel offers an excellent breakfast. Great options with the friendliest staff. These individuals are the reason I will come back. They are on top of their stuff. Rooms clean and I even saw the mange helping her employees with painting and cleaning. You can tell they really are a great team. Kudos to all of you . Great place to stay!!!
This is a very nice hotel. I have stayed here many times over the years. Sometimes for wor . And sometimes for fun. Everything is in walking distance. Good for me because I dont have a vehicle. The hotel is great. Always nice people and clean rooms. Breakfast is always nice and wifi is strong in the rooms and lobby. I recommend to everyone
Located in the perfect spot for walking. You can walk to the brunswick mall where there is a great movie theater. There are many restaurants to walk to. I even printed a free pass to the jersey strong right in the back parking lot. The hotel is cute. Its clean and decent for a Sure stay.
This new hotel is a great place to stay in my opinion. The people are great. Front desk clerk always so helpful. They use folgers coffee instead of the generic cheap hotel brands. Pancakes were great. The internet was fast and reliable. My room was neat and clean. Everything worked fine. And it smelled nice. I will be back!
This is one of the places I can stay in the area with my dog. They have a small section on the 1st floor with pet friendly room. They treated me very nicely and all of the staffs was very polite. I will be back next year!
Room was dated but clean, no frills it's a motel like best western the breakfast is nothing to write home to, cold eggs, premade microwave fare. The bed was not really comfortable. On the upside there is a mall across the street.
This SureStay Best Western is in an exceptional location with many eateries in walking distance. Theres a cute little mall.across the street. I believe there is a movie theater there as wel . The hotel itself looks a little old but it was very clean. Maybe not the best 1st impression but I can assure it was safe and tidy. The maids were nice and always did a good job cleaning the room and replacing my coffee. I was missing a remote when I arrived for the TV but i was quickly given a new one when I called the desk. Breakfast was decent and the most important thing was the wifi. It was strong and didn't disconnect while I worked for many hours on my laptop and tablet. Great place to sta .
I have stayed at many hotels for leisure over the span of a few years. Although this is not a hyatt, the rooms here were clean and satisfactory. The sheets were clea . Towels were clea . Lobby was pretty and internet was excellent. The staff is phenomenal and I recommend to anyone looking for a quick stay. I will be back again in February. The manager and front desk staff were very pleasant.
Very reasonable rates for this central area in east Brunswick This is located across the road from the east brunswick square mall. Lots of food in. the area My room was clean. Smelled fresh. No dust or dirt. Bathroom and shower was spectacular I will be back
It looks like they changed their name. But the staff here is the best. Always welcoming and warm. The rooms are always exceptionally cleaned. Breakfast is well put together. I have been here many times over and it is always a great stay.
This hotel was the best. Very very nice people and very excellent good price all the days and nights. My family have good time on holiday and we come back and 6 months. We tell more family member is come back again. Very good hotel
Nice property and excellent location, not only that; pretty close to shopping mall and good restaurant.. even you are down here for business or pleasure; you will enjoy as much as we do every time we stay over..
Upon arrival I had to fix the sink that wouldn't drain as well as the toilet that wouldn't flush. The shower worked other than it had no water pressure and the temperature fluctuated from hot to cool without touching it. The heat in the room couldn't seem to stay consistent either.
Nice hotel. Stayed here from Massachusetts for two nights for a football tournament . Room was nice. Housekeeping was good. Breakfast was good. Coffee was really good! Beds were comfortable. We were the only ones from Massachusetts staying at this hotel for the FBU tournament. The rest were from Connecticut and Rhode Island. Rhode Island's team was super loud. They finally quieted down at around 10:30pm. I assume someone called down and complained, and it looks like the staff took care of it. The noise didn't bother me though, they could have been loud all night while my son was sound asleep. No wonder Massachusetts won the NE tournament. Self discipline leads to success!
This was a great place to stay for 1 night after driving for many hours. The staff was so friendly and the mattress must've been brand new. I nearly melted right in and fell asleep in a few short minutes. I recommend this inn to anyone looking for a great nights rest.
I had an overall good experience with this hotel and staff and close to restaurants. This is too many words needed this is too many words needed This is too many words needed This is too many words needed
My kids and I were on a road trip and we decided to take a break at this best westeen it was such a pleasant stay the girl at the front desk was so helpful anything we needed she helped us out. She truly went out of her way
I study reviews prior to making reservations anywhere. Some of the reservations about this hotel were negative, and I was concerned. However, I discovered the negativity was unfounded. I would absolutely stay again. I stayed on ground floor. Never felt unsafe. Room was immaculate. Manager fabulous just as previous reviews stated. Didn't eat breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Excellent location, speedy check-in.
Stayed here as it was the closest hotel to the Starland Ballroom. The price was very low which concerns me sometimes but it is located in a good enough area and we felt safe here. Access to the lower floor rooms are from the outside but everything is well lit so again no worries about safety. The room itself was in good condition, nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The only issue was the bathroom, while clean, it has had a rough life. The flooring was cracked and the grout was missing in spots and the toilet was cracked. But everything worked as it should and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Overall we had a good stay for 3 days, the location was great and the room for the price was very good. Would stay here again.
People very nice and helpful. Hotel not in best condition, though clean and comfortable. Modesty curtain in shreds. Porcelain on Support, safety bar in shower cracked. Bathroom sink faucet leaks. Included breakfast unappetizing, though coffee and cereals good. Two floors, but no elevator. However within walking distance of several named restaurants and every kind of shopping. Should have checked reviews before booking, but foolishly thought a Best Western would be as good as.others we had stayed in.
We booked the room for two days, but checked out after the first night due to noisy unacceptable room. They have better rooms upstairs like the one in Paradise, PA Best Western. Unfortunately, we had the same poor experience here too.
I come here once a week with my girlfriend. It is a very clean place. The people are so nice. They always treat me like family. The prices are truly reasonable. All the hotel is very nice and clean. I come again and again. Love staff!
I enjoyed my stay very much. The room was spotless. Very clean. The bed was comfortable as I enjoy a softer mattress. Upon entry the room smelled delightful. My bathroom was very clean as well. We were visiting for a funeral and the staff here made this trip a little less stressful. I appreciate it more than one can imagine. I would recommend to anyone visiting this area.
Stayed her for a funeral that I had to come into town for. From the minute we stepped inside the hallway I was very uneasy. You have to walk into an outside door in order to get to the room doors. The outside door didn't lock making it very unsafe. The room smelled, the ac didnt work, the bed had an egg crate foam topper on it, and the light switch had to stay right in the middle for the lights to turn off.
This is a great hotel located right on route te 18. It's right by the mall. I love that jts close to all things walking distance. The staff here is the best. The manager Tankila is so sweet and takes care of us everytime we are visiting for work. Our rooms are always ready early. They're always clean. Housekeeping is very thorough. They're grea . Even john the handyman is helpful. He always says good morning. Great group of people. I recommend to all
Great rates. I have been coming here for years for business. I've never had any problems with my room or reservation. The staff here has changed a bit over the years but everyone is fantastic. The manager now has been there for a while and she is a delight to speak to. Always remembers my name and treats me with respect. MY room is always clean. I always have a few requests and they have never denied me anything. Great people. Great rates. Checkin and check out is always simple and quick. I love coming here and I will be back over and over again!!
I've stayed at a lot of hotels in the central jersey area and this one is really decent for the price and the area. The people are nice and decent people. I like the area. Walking distance to food and restaurants and shopping. All inn1 plac . Movie theater across the street. I will be visit again next month
We were going to a concert at the Starland Ballroom and this was the closest hotel. Everyone was so nice and they were very helpful with calling us cabs back and forth. There is a cool mall accross the street. Lots of food in walking distance. The hotel was pretty clean. We stayed one quick night and I am sure my girlfriends will bring me back for another concert soon. Good job Best western people!!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone with a family and small children. I parked my car right outside of the room which was nice so there wasn't a lot of going back and forth. Our breakfast was nice. easy for the kids also. My room was clean and neat. I have very sensitive allergies and called ahead to let them know so they can really get all of the dust without using too many chemicals. They did an EXCELLENT JOB. I was very happy. And I do not remember the manager's name but she was a delight to work with. I would be back again and again. Very nice place with great staff.
Well located especially near the mall so convenient if transport limited. Reception on arrival needs to be worked on....no greeting, almost indifferent attitude of check in staff. A safe deposit box would be welcome
The hotel is very clean and the staff was not too friendly at all during check in and check out,The communication was very short and tempered and front desk staff was more concerned with their personal cell phone call and not customer. our room had to be switched due to television not working in room.
This particular best western was nice on the outside. Our room was clean. My girlfriend stays at upscale hotels for work so this didn't meet her standards but I thought it was nice for the night. We went to starland BALLROOM for a concert and this was the perfect place to crash. Only a few mins away. I enjoyed the breakfast the next morning. They even gave us a late check out without charge. It was pretty decent. I'll come back to this best western next month for another concert. Decent rates too
We stayed here while attending a funeral. I have to say although the other custkwmrs were questionable, the staff was lovely. The manager let us use the brakfsdr room after hours to host a lunch after the funeral. All of our rooms were nice and clean. That was important. It was overall for a sad event but the experience here was very pleasant. I will tell my extended family to stay here next year when we come to visit.
This was a last minute ttrip that turned out amazing. The staff here was awesome. I have never met more happy and helpful people. My room was clean and smelled great. In then2nd floor. The breakfast was nice. I would recommend to all my friends and family.
I have to say I travel a lot for work and this hotel is one of the better hotels which would follow under the more moderately priced hotels. My room was clean, although a little air conditioning would have helped upon arrival. Breakfast was nice. I was in and out. Over all a decent place to stay for a good price.
Carpet through-out the entire hotel is very dirty. It is noticeable as soon as one enters the main floor lobby area. The entire hotel needs to be cleaned up. The shuttle service was very slow. It is time for someone from the main corporate office to send an inspection team to look at this particular Quality inn and clean it up. I have stayed in many Quality Inn's, and this is the dirtiest I have ever seen.
I had a wonderful stay at this best western. The girls at the desk truly made an impact on me. I wish there were more people like this in the world. My room was small but clean. The wifi worked great. No issues there. I will be coming back this way in a few short months and I look forward to seeing you ladies then.
The staff was very friendly and courteous, the room was clean and beds were comfortable plus the breakfast was good. I was surprised at some of the negative reviews as that was not what we experienced at all. Everything we needed was near the hotel. We only stayed for one night but we were very satisfied.
After leaving another hotel in the area, we needed to find another room that would accomodate 4 adults and 1 baby. The gentleman at the front desk was very accomodating and booked us a room immediatly. I did not find the room to be expensive. On the contrary, I found it to be very reasonable. The air conditioner was noisy but did not prevent sleep. I found it to be a very plesant experience.
I went to the hotel today in the afternoon for few hours rest. They always gave it to me for a discounted price from the daily rate. Today they refused. and charged me the full daily rate including taxes of about $150. In the past they always charged me between $70 and $80 for up to 4 hours stay.. I asked the receptionist Ankit if he believes me when I told him I always stayed at a lower rate, he said that he does not believe it. So I asked him to check my name as a former guest but he refused. a business like this one who treat loyal customers like the way they treated me, should not exist. A business that does not believe their customers when they could easily verify, should not exist, and will not succeed as a business. And a receptionist like Ankit should be fired. I ill never go to this hotel again in my life and will advice friends to do the same.
We have been coming to this best western for many many years on end. Even if we ever had a problem with our room or air conditioning, the people here are so helpful and act with a sense of urgency. They do their best to make sure we are always comfortable and feel at home. The room is always clean. I would reccommend a room on the second floor as they are a little more spacious. Only down side is no elevator. I need the exercise anyway. They have been upgrading and remodeling over the years and I am veyr pleased with the outcome each time. I look forward to many more years of staying at this best western.
Bathtub would not drain. Some lights not working. Refrigerator had a very bad smell. Only spent one night and when I reported the issues to the front desk there was little concern so I doubt repairs would get done. Room 149.
I was booked here by my company and before arriving I read some not so nice reviews so I was very skeptical. At arrival I was greeted by the manager who was very warm and polite. then the front desk person made my check in easy and seam less. the lobby was clean and neat. looked updated, when going up the stairs it was very warm in the hallways but that didnt bother me too much. once going into my room it was still a bit warm but once I let the ac run for a few minutes it cooled down nicely. the room was clean but just dated. i was very surprised because of the reviews i read online. my room was spotless. smelled great too. the cleaning staff looked as though they were working very very hard and i can tell by the way my room looked. next morning breakfast was pretty decent. typical continental. it was a grab and go type which worked because i was in a hurry. overall a great stay. there were a lot of families there which was nice to see and some tourists too. i would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap stay in the area.
this was a last minute plan for enjoying the area's 4th of july celebrations. we en joyed ourselves so much. the immediate are is very nice. there is a malll across the street and walkable. my room was clean.. furniture was a little outdated but clean nonetheless. we had breakfast for a quick minute and it was delicious. eggs and turkey sausage. my daughter had the frnech toast and she seemed to enjoy it. no issues for us, i would recommend to anyone passing thru. its just youd expect for the price. nothing crazy fancy but it was nice overalll.
This was a gem in central Jersey. We decided to stay here for a getaway weekend and go to the beach. This location is in the middle and about 25 mins away from several different amazing beaches. We went to belmar 1 day and sea bright another. The staff was amazing and nice complaints about the room and breakfast. Everything went smooth. We will stay here again for many more summers to come!!
This hotel is clean from the inside and outside. I had no problems or issues during my stay. Everyone was so nice and polite. They even helped me learn how to download and use my uber app. I'm old school. Breakfast was good. The gym center can use some updated equipment but otherwise clean and functional. I recommend for all.to stay on the 2nd floor. No elevators but I'm not lazy like some of the people who left reviews. If you have a hard time bringing kids up and down the stairs, then dont have kids if minor things like stairs inconvenience you. I appreciate the patience of the staff and managers.
The staff members were very great. I appreciate the American hospitality Food is delightful and I am very happy to visit this hotel again. Young man help our family assist with luggage. Many items to second floor. Breakfast time is very beautiful.
I enjoyed my room that was in the 1st floor. 174. It was nice and clean. Smelled like clean linen. The bathroom although small and tight space was immaculately cleaned as well as the rest of the room. Food selection was nice and employees were all a pleasure to speak to I will be coming back and I recommend people to stay.
Great place to stay for a night or 2. We were visiting family and this was the only.hotel near old bridge. I will be back. Everything was great. The dont have pool but the prices you cannot beat. My family had very nice and clean rooms
This establishment was dirty, room was filled with spider webs. Mildew smell in both rooms. I say both because I had to change my room due to television not working in first room. When I figured out how to “Jimmy” the phone to work in the first room I called front desk to inquire about the television. His response to me was did you see if it was plugged in??? I asked if he could come see because I didn't feel that was my job. He told me it would be a while because he was alone ( and just got back with his White Castle burgers) and that this was a 2 star hotel so there are no maintenance people there at that time. So I hung up and proceeded downstairs to ask about another room. I'm the meantime he checked room 174 and said it was empty and suffice to change to. He brought key to 224 so I could move to new room. BAD CHOICE!!! Room 174 smelled like someone left water in the room for days!!! It was completely mildewed. Flies and spiders/web all through the room. After getting rid of all the insects and stench for the couple of hours I had to be there with my daughter I cannot tell you how happy I was to LEAVE THIS PLACE!!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND OR STAY HERE AGAIN
Pretty much what I expected given the price & reviews, so nothing came as a shock. The room was clean but had some obvious signs of being old, especially in the bathroom. The water pressure was bad, the pillows were terrible, and the room did smell like cigarettes but I either got use to it or it faded about thirty minutes in. On the plus side, the guy at the front desk was extremely nice, the hotel is located in a good location, and the rooms were quiet.
I had an amazing stay at the best western in east east Brunswick. The room was great. We had a basketball tournament group that stayed and all attending had great things to say. I hope we can come.back next year. The housekeeping was excellent. Manager was exceptional. She took care if all of our needs. And went above and beyond. Great hotel. Mice landscaping too in the front parking lot Great job guys
I stayed here in lieu of traveling back and forth fighting parkway traffic as I had a 70th Birthday party on Saturday in Staten Island and my grandsons birthday party in Matawan on Sunday. Upon Checking in late on Saturday night 10pm we were given a room on the second floor - no elevators.. We took our luggage upstairs to find an old under par room. Since it was late and we were tired we stayed the night ABOVE the dirty sheets WITHOUT proper working LOUD air conditioning. The bathroom was FILTHY. The tub, the sink.. totally unacceptable. DEFINITELY would not return here.
It was a short stay Nice hotel overall I will be coming back later this summer for a concert at the starland ballroo . My room was nice and clean. I was here for business. Everyone was very nice and looked like they were wrong really hard.
i enjoyed my stay here at this best western. the workers were all very polite and professional even when dealing with rowdy guests. i wasn't bothered by the guests but they were yelling at the manager who managed to keep her cool and stay professional the entire time. kudos to you Tankila R, i could never do that. my room was clean and smelled great. the big brown chair is that room was so comfortable i would purchase it for my home. it seemed like they were nearly sold out the night i was there so breakfast was pretty busy. lots of chinese tourists. overall breakfast was great and i didnt have any issues other than my tv remote batteries dying out. i will come back in july and stay here again. i truly enjoyed my stay
this hotel was extremely clean. the lobby was very inviting and i took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. it was a really great breakfast. the staff of this hotel was very very attentive and so accommodating.
This hotel was conveniently located off exit 9 on the New Jersey turnpike. Easy to get to on route 18. Location is perfect if you're not from the are . Theres a mall and movie theater in walking distancw. My room was clean and spaciou . Pretty basic stuff. The price was kind of high but when shopping online for other hotels this was the most fairly priced at 109 for the night. Most other hotels were over 140. Not sure why this area has such high prices. Although it did seem they were very busy. Couldn't find parking at night. Staff was friendly. Overall nice hotel for a quick stop.
It was a nice place for the night. They were very busy. Lots of people outside. Not really the hotels fault but there were some weirdos too. The workers were all.very nice. I had a nice stay. My room was clean and check in/out was quick and painless. I recommend to anyone passing thru or just looking to for a place to sleep.
We stayed here for two nights as part of a large group package. The good - AC worked, Beds were comfortable, employees were nice The bad - toilet worked intermittently and not fixed after telling front desk, some "clean" towels had stains, shower pressure was non existent, breakfast was options not really worth offering. F
I found this room on booking.com. I had to travel because of a funeral. Room was clean but smelled funny, pillows were TERRIBLE and very uncomfortable. The location was convenient and close to the mall and many restaurants. If you choose to stay here, bring your own pillows.
Great staff. Nice hotel with great atmosphere. Nice and friendly people. My rooms were clean. Breakfast was busy but everything was stocked adequately. I will definitely be back in the fall for my family reunion
DO NOT STAY HERE! I've stayed at a lot of hotels, and this is the worst experience I've ever had. The hallway smelled like rotten trash, and there was dog food on the carpet. The non smoking rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. High-pitched squeals were coming from the fridge and the fan. There was make-up smeared on the wall. One bed was missing a mattress pad. There was pee in the toilet. We complained and after a lot of back and forth, and us trying to get a refund, we were given a new room. Black gunk came out of the faucet. In the morning a man knocked on the door and said he needed to come in and check the bathroom. He looked hyped up and was acting aggressive. He didn't have a uniform on or tools, and he looked like he was on drugs. I said no and he started yelling . He said he came all the way from New York to check the bathrooms and that I was on my own. I closed the door. When we left our rooms the young man was hanging out with friends in the parking lot. They all got in a car and started doing donuts driving as fast as they could around in circles in the parking lot. They drove really fast right towards us and we dropped our bags, were scared and we ran. We complained in the office, and the manager said she had no control over the situation because he was hired by the state to look into a water problem. She did comp our rooms. I believe there is illegal activity happening at this hotel. None of the employees seemed concerned about any of the complaints we had.
This place is ok I guess. The bed wasn't comfortable but it was a clean room. The staff here were very friendly. Although breakfast is always a complimentary item it didn't look that appealing so I skip that.
I'm not sure if this is considered a motel. The 1st floor you can access from the outside. Meaning it's not inside of a building. But the property itself is very clea . Hallways smelled like someone was smoking but as soon as I called the front desk they young Indian man took care of i . I would recommend this to anyone either passing through or visiting familt. I did see many corporate people as well. Staff is very friendly
This hotel was located in a great space. Lots of places in walking distance food and shopping wise. The room was clean and the property seemed pretty neat. I will be back next time I'm visiting the area.
I was attending a wedding in old bridge and this was the closest hotel. The rates seemed a little high for this area but it did look like they were sold out for this weekend. Room was clean. looked dated but it was definitely clean and smelled like lemons Mgr was very nice to us and took care of my party. Thank you Tankila
this hotel is located in a very central area of east brunswick. i was able to walk to the mall and there are tons of restaurants and shopping all in walking distance. it looks like the hotel itself has mad some improvements from the last time i was here. newer furniture in the rooms and a much much better breakfast experience overall. Breakfast time was very very incredibly busy but the young girl working in that area kept the area very clean and all the different varieties of foods were filled. very nice people work here.
I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was clean and proper. No issues at all. Breakfast was very busy but within just a few minutes the staff filled every item. Fresh and delicious Coffee was excellent I recommend this hotel to anyone passing thru this area.
I haven't stayed at a best western hotel in many years as I dont travel often. This hotel staff really blew me away. The nicest group of people I have met. Upon arrival i was greeted by the manager with a smile. Front desk young lady was exceptional. My room was clean and well maintained. I only noticed a small spot on the curtain but no other issues during my stay. Before checking out I had some breakfast and the sausages eggs French toast was phenomenal. I will try my best to stay at best westerns going forward. Everything was lovely.
Very nice place. Nice people. Very convenient location. My breakfast is was very well. I will be back again for my job. Very nice hotel. Room was clean and smell exceptionally great. Lobby was very pretty.
This best western was very nice. What I've expected of best westerns in the past. Always a good experience No problems At check in the young lady was very friendly. Maintenance fella said hello each morning I saw him. Over all staff and room were comfortable. I had some issues with the ice machine but there was another on the 1st floor. I'll stay there again when I come back.for work.
This is a fairly nice hotel of the Best Western brand. I try not to compare the other best westerns to each other as I understand it wouldn't be fair. This one is an outside entry hotel. I stayed on the 1st floor and I drove up to the door. The 2nd floor looks like it was enclosed. Meaning you have to walk in the hallway to get to your room. When I arrived it looked like there was some repairs going on on the outside of the building. Some siding repair The employees were all very delightful. My room was clean. Facing the front of the highway area. It was very very busy the night I checked in Lots of people walking around outside and in the lobby area. Only 1 person at the desk who was very overwhelmed with the amount of people. Perhaps having a 2nd front desk person would be a better idea. Better for guests and for your staff. Breakfast was pretty standard. Nice selection and variety. I would recommend this location if anyone where looking to stay in the east Brunswick area. There is a mall across the street in walking distance. And a IHOP denny's redlobster in the parking lot. Also a lot of car traffic from the gym located in the back. Not part of the property. Overall hotel is in an ideal location for travelers not from the area and not looking to drive around too much. Everything is right there.
I'm rarely impressed with younger staff. But this group of young people are truly delightful. As professional as millenials could possibly be. You can see everyone is always working hard. Even the manager whose name I cannot remember was sweeping the floor and not only deligating. Eva at the desk was a pleasure to speak to. Young man cleaning outside was very friendly and helped me with my bags. My experience here was entirely pleasant. I will recommend others to stay at this site. My unit was clean and seemed well maintained.
I will always come back to this hotel It is very convenient. I can walk to restaurants and the Brunswick mall. The people are very polite and professional I am here on business and very happy with everything
The location was excellent: right along the NJ Rt. 18 commercial strip. A mall is across the street. I saw at least three restaurants within easy walking distance of the motel. There were several aspects about this establishment itself that impressed me. However, I was particularly disappointed to learn when I arrived that it had no spa, after one was listed among its amenities. Apparently, no spa was available for a long while; so there's no excuse for it not having been removed from the amenities list earlier. While the property showed signs of diligent upkeep, I was appalled by the profuse amounts of scattered litter along the property line in the back parking lot. (I probably should have submitted photos to help prompt the management to clean this up right away.) As with urban graffiti, while this might be typical in the greater NYC metropolitan area, it is simply unacceptable in most of America. There were no working elevators either when I visited. Otherwise, the property seemed well maintained. The buildings' exterior color pattern of brown, dull yellow, and off-white isn't exactly my preference, but it seemed to work okay here. While my room was comfortable and accommodating, I noticed a few instances in which the cleaning could have been more meticulous. The continental breakfast was probably better than most but would have been even better if the fried eggs and turkey sausage were warmer and if the muffins and pastries weren't noticeably stale. Introducing fresh fruit such as bananas and clementines and offering small containers of yogurt would be a welcome addition. The various toppings for the oatmeal was a nice touch, though. So, while there are aspects about this motel that I definitely appreciated, I think it really wouldn't take much effort to make it considerably nicer.
Cleanliness is the most important. The hotel was very clean. My room didn't have 1 piece of dust. I'm usually very particular about my hygiene and this room didn't disappoint. The only downfall was that breakfast was very very busy with tourists from China. But the staff did a wonderful job of replacing anything that ran out. Sausages were very tasty.
I'll start off by noting the staff here is excellent. They're very accommodating and friendly. We had a few candid conversations and they made me feel right at home. I travel a lot for work and this place feels like old friends. My room was clean and the hallways were clean. The ice machine and vending machine worked well. I checked out without an issue. I will be coming back every time I'm in the area. These girls are wonderful to talk to.
We stayed at this hotel for one night on 3/10/19. We were given our key card by a very unfriendly woman at the front desk and told where our room was. It was quite a walk from the front desk. When we got there, the key card did not work. My husband walked all the way back to the front desk. The unfriendy women at the front desk ran it through a machine and gave it back to my husband assuring him it would now work. Another long walk back to the room only to be find out it again did not work. My husband now walked back to the front desk. He told her it still did not work, and she started arguing with him telling him it had to work. This went back and forth a few times and my husband asked that we be given a different room. At this point, she grapped the key and stormed off to the room to try it herself. Without so much as acknowledging me, she tried the key and realized it did not work. I said to her "did you think we were not telling you the truth?" Again with not a word, never mind an apology, she walked back to the front desk, with my husband following (she let the staircase door slam in his face) and finally gave us a new room. The following morning when I checked out the Manager was there along with this same woman from the night before. Only now with her Manager standing there, she was all smiles and nice as could be. I said to her "you are being very nice now but you sure weren't last night." I then relayed the whole story to the Manager who literally just stood there and stared at me - no apology - nothing. I told the Manager "I just thought you would want to know". Still nothing. I will not stay here again.
This was a quick trip for fun. 1st impressions I wasnt too sure on what to expect. Especially looking at other reviews but surprisingly this place is really clean. I will be back next time in NJ. My rooms as clean. Lobby was clean and smelled great. Breakfast was typical but nice variety and everything seemed fresh. Get staff!
The lobby was very updated. My room was clean. No problems. Everyone was very nice. They even paid for my uber. The wifi was little in and out but over all this is nice place. You can tell the building is old but everything was clean.
The room stayed in was a handicap room and the room was very accommodating for handicap. The staff was friendly and kind. There are three food options in walking distance plus a bank and a mall across the street so you do not have to travel far for goods and eats. The only issue which is not the property's fault was the other guests making noise late night and the breezeway doors to the stairs was next to the room so the door would slam and shake entire room waking me up. Maybe a sign to remind guests to mind the noise and something to keep from door slamming like a soft close mechanism.
I have stayed here a few times in the past and despite some of the negative reviews I have always enjoyed my stay. The room was on the 2nd floor. Pretty large rooms. It had the basics. Tv fridge microwave. Beds are very comfortable. It smelled nice too. The manager and front desk employees are the funniest people. They're so nice and helpful. They really helped me a ton I am grateful. I will definitely be back!
I have to admit the hotel looks pretty shabby but the folks that run this place are doing great. Staff is amazing. They listen carefully and really treat me like a VIP everytime I'm in town. I figured I'd finally give them the online thumbs up they deserve. Rooms are clean. Housekeeping was fantastic each day. I stayed on the 2nd floor. Clean hallways. It seemed pretty full but all other customers were pretty quiet throughout the night. I'll definitely be coming back in the fall.
Do NOT stay here! The Hyatt down the street is cheaper and much nicer! We had 2 working lights by our bed in the whole room. The outlets stopped working intermittenly. Our last morning there was no hot water!
I've stayed here many times while going to a bunch of different concerts at the Starland Ballroom. Great hotel. Pretty cut and dry. Its just a room with a bathroom. The people working are super friendly. I got along with the manager. She is awesome. Overall this place is basic and meets my needs when I'm in town for the night. I'll be back in February for the JaRule concert.
This place is in a great location. Theres a mall right across the street that has a movie theater. Lots of restaurants to walk to. The Hotel itself is pretty basic. Standard stuff. My room was clean on the 2nd floor. Smelled great. Employees are pretty cool. They're helpful. Breakfast was good but it started at 6am which is too early for me. Overall nice hotel. I'll be coming back.
This is a nice hotel overall. Pretty clean which was my main concern. Some of the furniture looks old and dingy but most importantly it was CLEAN. I opened the drawers and they seemed very neat. Lobby was clean. Breakfast was neat and clean, They had doughnuts and coffee cakes which was nice touch. Coffee was excellent. CONCLUSION: PRETTY DECENT HOTEL. THE STAFF IS POLITE AND DOWN TO EARTH. YOUNG KIDS BUT THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK THE NEXT TIME I AM IN TOWN.
Clean, good price, better then I expected for a hotel with 2 star rating. I spend 2/3 of my year in hotels and I view hotels for vacation and work differently. This is a good hotel for work travel. My only issue was that the exterior doors leading up to level 2 was unlocked/broken/did not require a key to enter which made me feel unsafe. Great location Mall across the street with a Barnes and Noble, restaurants and bar, Ihop Dennys and East Brunswick Bagels with awesome fresh bagels and smoothies fresh made and open at 6am. If I were not travelling alone I would have gotten out more but I was waiting for the Boogie Man to appear having gained entry through unsecured doors.
I was visiting some family members in the areas and this hotel happens to be the only hotel in the area that is actually walking distance to restaurants. The place itself is clean. Lobby looks pretty updated. Smells good. Young lady at the desk and the manager were very nice and helpful. At first when entering the room it looks very outdated with the furniture but it was very clean. That was the main objective. I only cared if everything was clean and it was. I slept great and woke up refreshed. Breakfast was good too. They had doughnuts which I haven't seen in a hotel breakfast before. So that was cool. Overall ur was great for the 1 night. Everyone was helpful. It was a great night's rest. I'll definitely be back!
At first check in was quick and easy. The lobby was clean and modern. My room furniture looked dated but was overall very clean. The room and hallway smelled great. Awesome for the price. Bed was comfortable. TV worked fine. Bathroom was sufficient. In the morning the breakfast was pretty good. Check out was easy. No issues during this stay. Staff is excellent. Very funny group of girls I'll be back for sure.
I have stayed here over 20 times in the past few years and I have to say this past stay I have definitely noticed a huge difference. More breakfast options, although you still get the discount at the IHOP if you want a full breakfast.Even thought the bathrooms on the first floor are pretty cramped in space, my bathroom was clean, room was clean, and whatever deodorizer they use smells amazing. The manager is amazing. Anytime I see her she is always smiling and engaging with the customers and staff. Her name is Tankila. It looks like they are slowly upgrading the furniture in the room. Chairs and lamps look new. I love staying here and I will be back next time I am visiting my parents again. Great rates too!
If you like cold showers, you will love the place. The mattress sagged, the staff behind the the front desk seemed to be more interested in if I was checking out than taking care of my problems. I will be looking elsewhere when I return to the area in the summer
We have stayed a few times at Best Western before and they were pleasant experiences. This particular is quite different. Breakfast basically includes nothing except a few slices of bread. No fruit, no juice, no yogurt. Coffee is very watered down. The room decor is out dated as well. Internet is very slow and can't watch youtube on it. TV is very old as well.
This hotel is more like an upgrade motel. 1sr floor rooms are open to the outside. I was first in a 1st floor room then I moved to the 2nd floor which has a bigger rooms. Then I moved back to 1st floor because of the convenience. I like being able to see my car and just getting in and out easily. Food in the morning was good. The area seems pretty safe. I was there for a few days alone and didn't feel unsafe at all. Prices are very reasonable.
This is the best hotel in the eats brunswick area. No issues here. all rooms are nice and the price is the best in this area. all other hotels are very expensive or very dirty.i had basic 2 bed room and it was clean. food was nice for the morning. all employee was nicei will be back again next year
My room was clean. No issues with the employees or anything else. Parking lot is kind of dark. Overall not a bad hotel. It was what I needed for the purpose I was there. I liked the rooms on the 1st floor because I was able to see my rental car right outside. Breakfast was decent. Nothing super fancy. But they had french toast so that was nice.
I have stayed at many hotels in the East Brunswick are in central NJ and I can confidently say this staff has always treated me the best. I can overlook certain things about the hotel because the staff is always so accommodating. The rooms here are nice. THIS IS NOT THE RITZ CARLTON. I have read some other reviews and I honestly don't understand what people are expecting. You get a bed, tv, bathroom. The basics. Prices are always reasonable for the area. The Hilton down the road is ridiculous price-wise. Best Western has a pretty basic breakfast but it does the job. I have literally seen this staff get yelled at by annoying customers whining and complaining about the dumbest things. If you want an amazing full service breakfast, go to the IHOP or Dennys in the parking lot. I guess you can't make everyone happy. Kudos to the staff for always keeping their cool. It gets crowded for sure in the breakfast room when there are tour groups. I realized if I go right when it opens or right before it closes I am usually in the room alone. Staff is great with refilling the items. I'd say be practical about this place. Have realistic expectations. If you compare it to every other place you've stayed you are setting yourself up.
I thought this best western was so run down, halls were dirty, outlets were broken, phone and remote were filthy. Breakfast was ok, late to be set up. I stay at moderately priced hotels, but I'll rethink all Best Westerns from here on in.
Not good. First night couldn't get the T.V. to turn off. Second night sheets were changed and had a large black stain where your head and shoulder would lay. Had to sleep way over toward where my husband was. We got back to the room late so couldn't get new unstained sheets. No clean cups in bathroom. Exercise room light only stayed on for 5 minutes, no towels, and treadmill faced away from T.V.. Refrigerator made loud noise all night.
We stayed 1 night and it was comfortable for what it was. The desk person seemed overwhelmed. There was about 200 Chinese tourists in the lobby so it was tough to maneuver around them at check in. And it was super loud until they left. She did her best though. Maybe they should use a separate checkin system for all those people. I can't imagine checking in each person all at one time. Must be hard. Over all my room was super clean and well maintained. Bathroom was a fair size. It's not the Ritz so dont go here expecting a Ritz room. Be realistic. You're in central jersey. Nothing fancy very basic. And if that's what you're looking for then this place is perfect.
We needed a place to stay for an unexpected NJ trip and the Best Western checked all the boxes - good location, affordable price. The decor was a little dated, but overall the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Check in and check out staff were friendly.
Staff was great they were zuperrei fly and helped me find a nice place to dine with my husband. They recommended so many places it was very nice they went out their way to show us restaurants and make reservations
It was a nice room on the 2nd floor. Faheem at the front desk was an amazing person to talk to. We were there for a family emergency and he seemed like he really cared. The room was clean. I stayed on the 1st floor but the bathroom was very tight so upstairs was more space. The room looked a little more spacious as well. They had cinnamonn French toast which was a nice surprise because I haven't seen that at a hotel before. Mostly just had to make my own waffle. This was nice they were already made. I'm a healthy eater so the chilled hard boiled eggs were a huge plus for me and my family. Seemed like a fairly safe area. I saw the cops outside but it seemed like they were monitoring the Dennys and ihop because they are open 2r hours. Over all I didn't feel uncomfortable in the rooms or outside. Hopefully I don't have anymore family emergencies otherwise I'd always come to this best western. It was lovely.
everyone was so nice. it really changed the mood of my entire trip. so glad i choose this place. my room smelled reall y great. i even asked maria the supervisor what they used. great place. clean and quiet parking lot. that was important since i had my 4 yr old daughter with me. ill def be back
my room was really nice, breakfast was okay but they offer a discount at ihop which is cool. open 24 hours. the mall across the street was trendy. cool updated movie theater atthe mall and really inexpensive.
My initial response to my first encounter with the room was that of shock. A hook on the window curtain was disconnected which allowed ambient night lights to illuminate the room. The bathroom faucet was defective. On two out of my 7 day stay, the hot water for my shower was cold. Except for the television, the hotel room furnishings were a scene from 1978. The price I paid for the room was outrageous. The breakfast, although it was complimentary, was at best sorry. The house cleaning service was the only thing that I found satisfactory. The breakfast pancakes and eggs were cold. The breakfast was lacking of any bacon or sausage. Some of the fruit items offered was molded.
No elevators here to second floor! Breakfast was ok - nothing extra special & not too well attended by staff!! Clean throughout. Comfortable beds! Variety of pillows! Quiet location! No pool! Older hotel, plenty of parking! Several buses pulled in with lots of kids, but the hotel was quiet throughout the evening and over night! Dining area was small for breakfast - couldn't handle the buses of folks!
For the rate you aren't going to get The Ritz. It was fine for me, but I probably wouldn't bring my wife. Everything is very basic and mostly functional. Wifi went down at a crucial moment, water pressure in shower was weak.
My room was clean. Only bad thing was breakfast when it was very busy but louis cleaned up very fast and stocked all items. Basic continental breakfast. And French toast and vanilla cream puffs. That's was cool. Lobby smelled nice. No elevator but I need the exercise so I didn't mind the staircase like another guest who was yelling at desk clerk eve. She kept her composure. That was very professional. Nice people and very happy housekeeping
i travel for a business a lot throughout the country and this is a nice little getaway. rooms are clean and breakfast is nice. staff is very friendly. I can admit I was worried according to the other customers leaving troublesome reviews but i was very pleasantly surprised. I will request to stay here again next time my company places me here.
Our stay missed the mark. Left our room at 11:00 am and returned at 10:00 pm to a room that was never cleaned. Was told that cleaning crew went by prior to 11 and since we had the do not disturb sign out they would not return even though the sign was removed once we left. Also there was an odor in the halls. Price was very reasonable and was in town for a few days visiting family. If came back I'd probably stay somewhere else even though I am a BW rewards member.
Employees are rude and not helpful at all!! When I asked for the room service to come and clean the room, they answered rudely! Also when I questioned how can they talk in such a way with their customers, this employee told me literally: I'm done talking to u (this is only after a 2 min talk!!!)!!!!! And if u don't stop I'll get u the cops!!!!!!!!!!! Of course I did a complain and I wanted to check out immediately but unfortunately we didn't find any availability in other hotels at that moment!!! AND GUESS WHAT?! He refused to apologize! That's aside that rooms smelled horrible, breakfast should be till 9 am, and I never found any food starting 8 am!! Disgusting place with rude employees!!!!!
No rooms available to check in after 2pm. Once able to get in to room,AC not working, beds not made hair in sink and on bed. Upon asking for another room, we were told sorry. We won't charge you. We had to drive home and come back early next morning for softball tournament. This place sucks.
This hotel is moderately priced. It has been redecorated since we last stayed. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave which we like. Liked the decor and clean look in the room. Brunswick Square Mall is across the street (Route 18). There are restaurants on both sides of the street.
Four people age 16-77, one night Giving "stars" for: * Room was clean * Beds were very comfortable and clean * Hotel was quiet Deducting "stars" for * bathroom faucet very loose * bathroom exhaust fan not working * water pressure not very good * room was very hot when we arrived and took a very long time to cool down, but it eventually did * The two employees who were supposed to be overseeing the breakfast area - restocking food and drink items, etc. - were extremely lazy and inattentive. I had to make a request of the desk clerk, because I didn't know who else to ask, and it turned out that it was two employees who were watching TV in the lobby. There was a large tour group having breakfast before heading out on their tour, and the two employees did not even attempt to keep the tables wiped and ready for others to use. Other helpful info: * Two floors - first floor rooms open to the outside, second floor rooms open to the inside * No elevator so rooms with handicapped facilities (walk-in shower) are on first floor. * easy to get to
in town for meeting and ive stayed at this hotel before. it looks like theyre updating a lot. i saw landscapers outside until late at night working in the rain and they were really getting in a good cleanup. the outside of the hotel looks pretty basic, lobby is nice and clean. rooms are pretty clean, bathrooms are a little on the smaller side but they were clean. i stayed on the 2nd floor this time and the rooms seem a little bigger and so does the bathroom. 1st floor seems a little tight but i liked that i was able to see my car last time i was placed on the 1st floor. it looks like they changed some of the furniture in the rooms and when i asked i was told they were under new management and that the new management is really taking care of the staff now and investing in them. employees seemed very happy and excited to be at work. hallways smelled a little funny but its probably because it was 95 degrees and very humid. if i ever have to come back to this area ill try to stay here again. my company likes the fact they are much less expensive than the other mediocre brands in the area.
i must say after reading some reviews i was skeptical but i was allowed to see a room before checking in by the manager. i can tell the staff was working very hard as everyone was moving around in an urgent manner. they were very attentive and even gave me a few free water bottles. The room was clean and smelled like lavender. i think this place is great. Unlike some other reviews i read there were no shady people outside. mostly tourists from another country, there was a lot of people in the breakfast room but the selection was there and the girl who worked in there kept everything fully stocked even when things disappeared within minutes. this hotel is close to the mall and has a bunch of restaurants in the parking lot so its definitely a convenient location. ill def be back towards the end of the summer.
Looks like things are changing. I've been here before and the rooms look better than ever. Breakfast is still free and had a good selection. The staff is probably the best part. Everyone is friendly and they always ask if I need anything. All smiling when I see them.
This is definitely an Inn and all lower rooms are accessed from an outside door. We had an upstairs room that should have been accessed with the card key, but the lock was not only disengaged, but taped and painted over. Lobby looked like it had an overhaul, but the first thing I smelled was cigarette smoke, so someone had either been smoking in the building or close to it. Once assigned our room, we walked to the closest stairwell and found it unlocked - this is a safety issue and a half! the stairwell smelled of camphor to the point of being nauseating. Once upstairs, the smell went away. The room was clean and of adequate size, but the towel allotment was cheap - only two full size towels where most hotels offer you 3 to 4 for double occupancy. I would only stay here again if absolutely no other hotel was available.
Checked in Thursday for my elderly parents. I saw the parkng lot was being paved. I asked if this will be done today and the front desk person assured me it would be. That night we could not get the car in front of their room because the parking lot was closed off. I had to have them walk each day to get to the car in a different lot. This was a holiday weekend. Why would they start work like this and cause this problem. The full breakfast was held in a dark room. There were dried pancakes, bagels an butter when asked about the eggs they were told they didn't get a delivery. The front desk staf was not helpful at all. I would never recommend ‘‘this motel. Not even overnight.
Lets start by addressing the plastic covering the hallway floors and room numbers written on paint tape attached to all doors. Because I'm in the hotel business, I have a habit of checking the sheets for any stains to ensure there are no bed bugs especially in motels. And of course there were tons of disgusting stains. The bathtub floor was covered in what appeared to be rust. Oh and the door was open when we first got there. I hadn't actually checked the beds right away when we first checked in bc we had been in a rush to attend a concert. When we got back is when I checked the sheets (room 267). I called the front desk around 2 am to ask to be changed to another room without bed bug blood stains. The Housekeeping dept should at least be smart enough to discard sheets with this many stains. We were changed to room 221 which seemed to be better until the next morning when we were looking for something right before checking out we noticed a pair of dirty socks which clearly weren't ours. The worst part is that it's a platform bed so there's no reason why housekeeping shouldn't have noticed these at the corner of the bed. There was a brownish stain on the towel hanging on the tub. At this point we didn't even want to shower. We just left. NEVER again!
We arrived after a long drive at 2:30am. Someone was sleeping on the couch in the lobby. The person who checked me in (not the sleeping individual) was nice. We were traveling with our dog and our room was handicap accessible. We did not request this. The entire bathroom was tiled and smelled of urine. The chairs were stained (did not use them) and the carpet was dirty. If we weren't so tired we would have left. The bed seemed clean so we opted to sleep the 4 hours and left without using the shower. The hotel is extremely outdated and old. For the price you can do better elsewhere. We called the hotel about an hour before we arrived looking for a dog friendly hotel. It was the 4th hotel we called. We weren't told about the free breakfast but after seeing the quality of our room we didn't want to eat there. We opted for Dunkin Donuts right down the street. The checkout person was friendly but couldn't get the printer to work for my receipt. I'd say yo keep on driving and find another hotel.
Will not be staying here again on account of the all night prostitution activity. Don't even want to know what other criminal activity is taking place at this location. I'll be staying in the Hazlet, NJ Best Western instead.
Issue with broken toilet was resolved on check-in. Given a different room. Hallways accessible to public in our upstairs room since main outside door lock was not working. TV remote didn't work. Had to get desk to reauthorize key card several times during 4 day stay after they stopped working periodically. Shower water pressure very low.
Not a great experience. Broken TV remote. Leaky drain pipe. Heater didn't work right. Bathroom floor was dirty. Sink area was not clean. But, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and we felt safe.
Avoid staying on the 1st level, it seems like those rooms have not been renovated. Had major issue with the heating unit in the room, had to switch 3 rooms and even then the one we stayed was warm air.
It was good for a quick stay, but I would never stay there again. There was mascara stained on the pillow cases and trash was left in the hallway for all 3 days that I was there. Although staff at the lobby were nice and helpful and breakfast wasn't bad.
I spent only one night in the hotel. The heater in my room was broken, it was either on or off, the auto button did not work. I warmed the room up, turned the heat off as it was hot and dry but woke later freezing needing to turn the heat back on for a while. Also the check out clerk was rude and unprofessional. BW typically offers a grab and go bag in the morning for those without time to visit the continental breakfast, this particular BW did not have the grab and go and I was told to go to the vending machines for water at $2.50 a bottle. Oddly the sign for the grab and go amenity was prominently displayed at the check in desk.
We had a very good stay at the Best Western in East Brunswick. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a nice and quiet location. We would like to return. There was many places to eat nearby and the price was right!
Upon check in, I was given a key to a room that had not been serviced (unmade beds, wet towels all over, etc). I called down the the front desk who instructed me to come down and get a key to a different room. The staff apologized but this was a major inconvenience. I had to carry all of my luggage from the first room on one side of the hotel to the new room in a different building. This made me late for the event that I was in town to attend.
night clerk was lost for an hour, even called the cops for a welfare check, nobody seemed to care when I got checked in, next morning informed of the hour and a half process and they said they would email me a new invoice with a discount, did not expect much but got the invoice that they gave me at check out (so no discount) Room was nice (some smoke odor) but probably would not go back.
great design for room for the price, extra touches such as arched, lighted soffit over bed, double sinks in bathroom, triple mirrors. However, breakfast was cramped, harried and hurried. Too many people in too small a space. Food not kept up with demand.
Our stay was great start to finish! We had a nice large room with 2 queen beds and a microwave and fridge. It was clean and modern. I was very surprised. The staff really went out of their way to make sure all our needs are met. The helped with directions, restaurant suggestions, and extra towels.
The hotel is a good Best Western...an hour from NYC...coming from the south, rest here before your trip into New York---save some hotel money on first night...same for the other way...Save some dough on the last night by transferring to this hotel on the way home...
We had a very pleasant stay at the Best Western in East Brunswick. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help with reservations and suggestions for the area. The room was very clean and spacious.
I've been a customer of this hotel for the last 12 years (since it was the McIntosh Inn). No, it's not top of the line. It was never meant to be. But for its class, it's one of the best around, especially since the new management came in. I can credibly say that these people have put some money into this facility, inside and out. Before they came, there was no landscaping to speak of. They have done a great job at that including benches and that patriotic flag pole...with a flag!! The interior renovations were a much needed improvement. But as with many hotels in this class, failure to maintain the hallway carpeting can result in a stale odor, sometimes. Yes, the breakfast variety has been reduced to more of a continental style in the last couple of years. But, there are two affordable, national restaurant chains directly in front of the hotel. They may still have a discount arrangement with IHop. I know that they have increased their extended stay and tour bus business. But the bottom line is profit. And, they are not the only area lodging to seek out these markets. So sometimes it may be a bit noisy. And sometimes it may be crowded in the small breakfast area. But you can only make so much money from the "one-night stay" crowd flowing along Route 18. My only real issue with this hotel is the tendency to allow the hallways doors to remain propped open. When asked about it during one of my stays, the staffer's response was that they have cameras. Of course, I didn't see one pointed over the doors which are accessible by anyone passing along. I have gone into the hallways myself to purchase items from the vending machines with ease. When I mentioned it to one of the maids, she suggested that I rent a direct access room on the first floor. Both answers were wrong from my perspective. Since patrons and staff have card keys, why would any of the exterior doors need to remain open, period? I feel that is their one safety issue. The facility is across the street from a mall and in front of a busy gym. The town of East Brunswick is a low-crime bedroom community but it is not crime free! The exterior door situation is definitely a safety issue. For the most part, I've found the staff to be okay. They did have staff who smoked and would stand in the doorway to do so. Of course, this allowed smoke to filter back into the lobby. But, I figured that perhaps staff is hard to find. Television reception is not always reliable and channel selection is fairly limited. But, again, it is what it is...and one of the most expensive BW's in the county. I will stay here again (in a couple of weeks as I do every year). And I do recommend it to others for a convenient night or two. The manager's at my former job used it a lot during bad winter weather. They could walk across the highway to open the store! Give it a try.
I guess Best Western just decided to give up with this one. From the typically surly NJ desk clerk to the non-operational ice maker and the burnt out light bulbs and disheveled room features, this has been a pretty poor stay. But it's nearby where I need to be, it's relatively cheap, the room IS clean ... it's just lacking any type of flavor or personality at all. Usually BW tries to keep things updated, but this one falls far short.
From start to finish the stay was excellent. The staff was very friendly and the lobby nice an modern. Our room was very large and clean. We even had a fridge and microwave. Breakfast was great, nice pancakes and toppings!
Every employee I encountered was friendly and happy to help with what ever I needed. The rooms were basic but served their purpose. The room was a little hard to locate from outside due to the layout.
We were looking for a dog friendly hotel for one night, and happy we decided with Best Western ! Very clean room, no sign it was even a pet friendly hotel. Kind staff, decent internet and tv selection. Name brand shampoos provided, and polite staff that greets you each time you pass them! Awesome stay.
Hotel looks great from the outside. The inside is another story. This place is badly in need of repairs and updating. There are holes in the wall, falling tile, and old age most obvious to the eye. No fault of the staff however as everyone encountered was most friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and a quiet sleep was had.
Terrible experience!! When we checked in we were given the wrong room number!! The person didn't know where our room was as she was new! We had no water in the bathroom!! Door lock was on backwards and not usable! No coffee or breakfast as there were too many people!
the windows open! and you can breath fresh air! the first thing I look for in a stay..window opened just enough and safely ! so no feeling of being suffocated with stale air or running fan all night Room was clean/nicely arranged and quiet! no complaints here...
I had a wonderful here! My place was being painted, so I stayed here for the night. The staff really goes out their way to help a guest. They helped me and others happily. My room was surprisingly very clean and modern. Lots a freebies--wifi, breakfast, fridge microwave etc. I strongly recommend this place.
I got a great deal at this hotel in East Brunswick! The price was the best in this town. My room was very spacious and clean. The front desk girl was very friendly and helped me with directions to the restaurant I needed to be at. The breakfast in the morning was free and had great coffee, pastries and bagels. I definately recommend this hotel.
We had a great stay at this hotel. It all started with the friendly staff at the front desk and was matched by the clean, large, well appointed room. Location is truly unbeatable with everything that one would need within few minutes drive. The breakfast was great too. Highly recommended & we will definitely be back.
Save your money people. Stay away from this hotel! Feel confident in spending $100+ at another chain hotel to get a comfortable, clean room. It's not here at the BW East Brunswick Inn. Rooms weren't clean. Complimentary breakfast was HORRIBLE and LATE without even an offer of coffee for the waiting guests. Guests/visitor (?) outside the building talking/yelling loudly on the phone late at night/early in the morning. Did I mention the cleanliness is highly suspect? RUN!
.... ..you don't mind a poorly maintained, poorly serviced, relic of what must have been quite nice when it was built 50 years ago. Then again, maybe not. My favorite “highlight” is having to run around under the shower head trying to get wet. Or was it the ancient heating/ac unit that makes a billion decibels of noise every time it kicks on, blowing freezing air right on you in the adjacent bed? Or maybe my room key card that twice got demagnetized from, the desk guy told me, my cell phone, credit cards, or my car key fob (due to the fob's battery). Or perhaps asking the desk guy how to turn off the blinking red phone light indicating a waiting message, only to be told he has no idea. Never again. Hoo boy.
I stayed at this hotel only because I was in the area for a funeral and it was inconvenient to check out and go else where. The cleanliness of the room and hotel are extremely poor. Bathroom was aged and poorly maintained. The door to the bathroom scrapped along the floor as you opened it making a load sound every time you opened and closed. The toilet flush mechanism was broken and had to be flushed several times. I would advise putting fire exit directions on the back of the doors as required by law. The window to the outside was broken or never installed correctly since it did not close or lock. I placed a coat hanger in the track to stop it from being open from the outside. In the window track was a family of shield bugs which occasionally would find its way crawling up the curtains inside. I thought that I killed them all but one would keep appearing. The air conditioner is loud and does not run continuous as normal air conditioners do, on any setting. The clock on the bed stand was broken and stuck at 12:00. I tried to adjust it but internally it was broken. The entry doors to the outside of the hotel were open around the clock adding to the security threat with the window I described. The second outside door was magnetically latched but had a large gap that anyone could reach in through the pulled door and unlatch it. This had to be the worst hotel in all my years in spite of the occasion.
Just needed a clean no frills room for one night for a family wedding. Don't stay there. The first room had been occupied by a smoker. The second emmêlés of disinfectant and urine. When we checked in there was a 4 police car incident happening in the parking lot of the motel.
Our stay at this specific best western was very good. The front desk clerk , Vanessa, was so so helpful and friendly. We had a rough time at other hotels, i.e. Motel 6, best western hazlet... but this one was definitely different. I would definitely stay again , the room was clean and more up to date, the breakfast was clean and always full.
Stayed here for one night for business. Actually motel style which was not clear from booking website. Room smelled of smoke despite being non-smoking. Blanket on bed had crusted brown goo on it -- ended up sleeping in my jacket rather than using the blankets on bed. Room was very loud with guests from other rooms yelling and smoking outside. Did not get quiet until after 2am, and then was loud again by 5:30am. Heater gave off a burning smell. Towel rack in bathroom seemed as though it had been ripped off wall and re-attached several times. Hand towels and washcloths were discolored. Will not stay here again. Would not recommend.
Hello, We had a horrible experience with Best Western. The amount we were quoted when we made our reservation did not match what was charged to our account. Our room felt dirty and was not clean. It was the weekend of the Diesel Nationals and Friday night we barely got any sleep because of people running around/ being loud outside of our room. We would NOT recommend anyone stay at this hotel.
I would recommend this place for its serenity. It is also recommended for a family stay. IHOP and Red Lobster being close was a good idea. The Brunswick Square was an added advantage. Other shopping malls were also quite close.
Stayed over night with my family. Room was clean and check in was smooth. We had no issues at all. They have free continental breakfast and you have a Denny's and an IHOP right outside. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel before with my family. This hotel is comfortable and the staff is always friendly. We always look forward to having breakfast here. We will definitely be returning here in few months.
I stayed here for 2 nights and i was extremely dissatisfied. The air conditioner only worked sometimes...It was way to hot to sleep in the room. The shower curtain bar kept falling and it hit me in the head twice, there was some sort of blackish mold in the bathtub and the room had a weird smell and not all the lights worked....AVOID this place
Nice hotel, in terms of location next to I hop, Red lobster, cross from the mall. the room was very conveniently complete of everything like refrigerator, micro wave, coffee maker and nice TV with HBO and it's really clean with a cool air and breakfast was very good .
We stayed at the Best western in East Brunswick in August and had a great stay! From the room to the free breakfast--everything was great! Room was neat and clean. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Free breakfast was a nice value and had several options including non dairy soy milk. Location was near to many restaurants and shopping.
Room was aged, needed updating. Bathroom wont even close properly. I waited at front desk for someone to show up. Had to wait..room key was inop. Room was viewed on internet since I was coming from 7 hours away.
I gave a 1 only because it goes no lower. Outside of building, furniture, rooms in general were old and worn. Room smelled, flies in room, parking lot broken glass, cigarette butts outside door. Turn off AC.. room became sweaty, and moldy smelling. Secure door? Try a chain. Breakfast was nasty. Yellowish, rubbery hard boiled egg. We grabbed the one and only apple. It was dark and late.. and we lost our minds. Dont stay here.
Nice decor, decent beds, rug needs deep cleaning, same as bathroom, hair left on the walls and behind bathroom door nobody ever clean, door with dirty marks, over all hotel room needs deep cleaning and supervision of it.
Defiantly not impressed with this hotel. They barely gave us any pillows and the breakfast was one of the worst I have seen. The door to the 2nd floor was propped open and there was an odor in some of the rooms. The bed was comfortable, but that was about the only perks. I would not recommend staying here.
This location had an exceptional staff working here. Everyone made sure we had a wonderful stay from the front desk girl to the breakfast girl. Price was right for the room and got free breakfast and wifi too. Location was great! near too lots of things to do, but yet quiet.
The hotel was extremely outdated, the rooms were in very poor shape, the bathtub filled in the night and drained leaving debris in the tub, the walls were cracked, the non-smoking room smelled of smoke etc
I have declared before that I would never again book a night in any hotel associated with Best Western. The quality standards must be low to allow some of the worst hotels to be part of their group and they have not been able to resolve serious problems when hotels have serious problems. On this occasion, someone else booked a room at this Best Western, probably only because of the location and the fact that it says that the rooms are renovated. Our flight was late and we didn't get to the hotel until almost midnight. There was a gang of young men in a car in the parking lot... I'm not sure what they were doing there but, it didn't make me feel comfortable. The room was dirty, smelled of cigarette smoke, and it appeared that the sheets hadn't been changed from the last guest. There were a couple of young ladies who spent the night on the street near our room looking for short-term relationships. We spent a fitful night on top of the bedcovers, in our clothes, and got up early to get the heck away from this place. The young ladies were still working on the street when we left. This hotel doesn't deserve a one star rating. Do not stay here (unless you are looking for the type of place I described in this review). Having been to this hotel, I cannot believe that the rooms that I and my father stayed in could ever warrant a five star excellent rating. It is not possible unless other guests were staying at the East Brunswick Best Western in an alternate universe where everything that is crap is good.
Mold in rooms. Shoddy maid service, electrical outages in room, sheet did not fit mattress, noise in back area,Have been here before when visiting family as it is close, hoping each stay will be better, no way. Will spend $100. more/niight to stay in a more up to date hotel.
Had an excellent stay at the Best Western in East Brunswick. Staff was very helpful to get around. Had terrific recommendations. Room was very clean and modern. Loved the double sink room we had. Breakfast was small but had the essentials. Free wifi was a plus! Location was great--2 bars across the street--Bar Louie and tilted kilt.
Dirty dirty dirty Rude clerk who was on phone making personal calls and smoking Staff was useless and rude No towels no soap Bathroom floor dirty Room smelled of smoke and this was a " no smoking room" Overall a waste of money at any amount
The rooms were not clean. There is a large group that stays on the weekends that makes it impossible to get anything from the continental breakfast! You can hear everything going on in other rooms. Highly recommend not staying here!
Outdated, grainier tv services, hotel needs to be remodeled in order to keep customers. My family planned to stay at that location for 6 days, unfortunately we had to leave ahead of time. The location and customer service were great, but the hotel business plan needs be to reviewed.
This hotel is awesome Right near everything. And hotel staff is really accommodating. Front Desk person who checked me in was very polite. Breakfast attendants were nice. Overall very nice stay. Will definitely be back again
Stayed one night in a 2 queen room. Beds were ok, but room was not very clean. Found corners were not vacuumed or washed, stains and burn holes in bedding, air conditioner barely pushed out lukewarm air because it was filthy. Shower either burnt your skin off or froze you. Breakfast was ok, but very crowded due to a large tour group. Had party people next door which made it hard to sleep . Will pay an extra $50 per night for a cleaner hotel next time
We really enjoyed our stay at the best western in east brunswick. The staff was fantastic! They were very friendly and helped us get around the area. There was tons to do nearby. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was clean and spacious. Wifi was free and very fast. Free breakfast was a great perk!
Loved the stay at the hotel!! They had a lovely staff and a welcoming environment. I and my friends loved the breakfast service as well as the gym service they had. We enjoyed the location that the hotel was at. We had access to the mall at a walking distance. There were good places to eat close by as well, as a hotel guest we also were given good discounts to the close by food places which was a great benefit.
excellent room, excellent service, good breakfast, internet, gym. I stayed there for few weeks for business and it was good experience overall i will rate this hotel 10 on 10. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone travelling to this place.
I definitely coming back again with my friends to stay for long here and i will give 5 star for this hotel and i will recommend this hotel to my friends and family for sure..Thanks Best western see you soon
This review should be taken seriously. This franchise will reflect BW in a bad way and will affect business. The other businesses beside it will also be affected. The suggestion to have unannounced inspection will show what this hotel really is and how it function.Need to improve staffing esp during times of check in and check out.
This hotel is very friendly. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The check-in and checkout process was very efficient. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. The fitness room was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!
Outdated facility, no amenities for me to speak of. Rear entrance locking mechanism was broken allowing anyone to get in. They did do a sloppy temporary fix. On the positive the front staff was very friendly, housekeeping doesn't smile. But all in all it was a decent value for the dollar and the right location for me.
Most every year we travel to this area for an event and stay in the Best Western East Brunswick. We have been very pleased with every stay. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and appealing. We also enjoy the proximity to three major chain restaurants.
I've never been so disappointed in a hotel experience. My uncle had just passed away, my family and I needed a place to stay in Jersey. I got the two bedroom with another family member. When I first arrived, I was greeted with a front desk attended who tossed me my key card and said "out the door to the right". She pointed to my card for the room number. I walked over to my room to notice water bottles and old ice bags around the landscape of the property, not very presentable. I inserted my key and the reinserted it slower and it didn't work. I tried this 4 times until I went back to the front desk. As if I was asking for the keys to the owners suite, annoyed, the hotel employee walked with me to my room. She tried to enter twice and then reassigned me a brand new key for the room. I opened the door to a room Edgar (the cockroach from Men In Black) would have called home. The room was disgusting but I had no time to worry as I was late for my Uncle's wake. After coming home I just had to take pictures and show this to the attendant. I walked to the front desk and no one was there. I was completely alone with my dirty pictures and disgust. I had to go back and sleep for the night. Blood stains aligned the walls, meeting the floors filled with dirt from years of build up. The room was so dirty that I felt like I was sleeping in a garbage bag. Mystery spots were on the walls, in the light fixtures, on the furniture, and even in the bathroom filled with mold. I couldn't even attempt to go back to the front desk as right outside my room crowds of people formed and started to party outside until 4 am, I thought it was unsafe to leave the room with a broken lock. The following morning I had to attend the funeral mass. I went to check out and no attend was behind the desk, once again, so I left my key behind the desk. Furious with the customer service and experience I knew I would get in touch with them after. Just a day after we checked out of the hotel, we both had went to the doctor after feeling extremely itchy to find we had lice from the hotel's bed. BED BUGS. We had called the hotel and company to express our frustration and experience. All they offered to give us was 25% of the room instead, of for free as we had insisted. I sent them the pictures attached and even a letter to corporate and they said that 25% is the best they can do - they didn't even offer my family condolences for my uncles passing. I had to dispute the charge and thankfully my credit card company saved the day. I would highly recommend staying away from this hotel and if I could sum up this review with a symbol it would be the ice bags I mentioned in the begging. Right before I had left the hotel I decide to take advantage of the ice machine (with my own zip block bag). I figured why not get some ice? I went to the ice machine and it was broken. No sign or anything just broken after trying multiple times. I now solved the mystery of why so many ice bags lay around the hotel property. When staying at this hotel customers get so fed up they just toss the bags like their tossing their money - into the ground.
Room was tiny room was not clean the toilet was loose and rocked on the floor the coffee maker didn't work the room was not worth the money i paid the night time front desk guy was not helpful for anything
NYC metro area hotel that is generally over-priced for the value. But it is among the lower cost in the area. Seems like tourism (people touring NYC) is primary clientelel. Beds ok, breakfast average to poor. location to our activity was reason chosen.
The hotel has a perfect location near to every store you can imagine. The staff is absolutely wonderful! The hotel is older, but very clean and well kept Free wifi and the room is filled with everything you need--fridge and microwave too! I will surely be back!
My partners and I found this best western to be in a perfect location Near to shopping, food and major roads. The staff was incredibly nice and really went out of their way to ensure we were happy. Free and fast wifi too!
Had a great time at the Best Western East Brunswick. Everyone there was very kind and helpful, it really makes a big difference when you feel welcome! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the area.
Although each Best Western is different, this did not meet the usual quality standards The keycards continually malfunctioned. The room was very sparse, very limited breakfast. Only good thing was free use of Work Out World behind the hotel.
I had family coming in from all over and we needed a central location to meet to spend time in NJ and NYC. This hotel was perfect. Great location, amazing value and wonderful staff! I would recommend this hotel to anyone or any group looking to stay at a clean , well run hotel near NYC but not with NYC prices!
I had a very pleasant stay. The service here could not be matched! Everyone would go out of their way to help you. The room was clean and modern. Breakfast was free and lots of options. Wifi was fast and free also!
I spend a couple of days with my family. Everything was great. The staff was extremely welcoming and informative about recommendations for food places. The room was clean, large and well appointed. They offered a very good selection of breakfast items (Healthy too!!). Would definitely stay here again when in the area!
If you are looking for an up to date hotel with a bar and such, this is not your place. If you are looking for a comfortable and quiet small hotel, this is it. The lobby was remodeled and very nice. The rooms need a facelift, but again, are quite comfortable. And the staff is outstanding. The breakfast is so-so. I've had better. But there is an IHOP and a Denny's on either side. This was my second visit and I will definitely stay again.
Lots of freebes here! Complimentary breakfast, free wifi and parking! I don't see it often. Room was very large and had lots of amenities like a fridge and microwave. This was very helpful for my medicine. Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was good, nice pancakes and toppings ;-)
My colleagues and I had a nice stay at the Best Western. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beds extremely comfy and rooms large and spacious. SHower was also very nice and pressure good. Location was convenient to a lot of shopping and places to eat.
Not a good stay. Bathtub was clogged no water pressure. The linens on the bed were stained. The air conditioner was so controlled that it went on for 2 seconds and it shut off. It was extremely hot in the room
Property is not the newest Best Western and is a combination Motel and Hotel. They do however appear to try to maintain the property and make the most of what they have. Staff is very friendly and helpful, property is clean and the rooms a comfortable. Though not the Ritz Carlton it is a decent place to spend the night.
I personally, would not stay at this specific Best Western in the future. First of all, I do not like that the set up is outdoors. Our room was on the second floor, thankfully, however the door to go upstairs was not locked at all. It was open 24/7. So the only sense of security I thought I had, was not secure at all. Obviously the actual hotel can't be changed too much (with the first floor rooms opening to outside), but at least that door to the second floor stairs can be locked. It should only open with the keycard but we never had to use the keycard. Also the fact that someone could be lurking around there because there's parking lots on either side, was concerning as well. I will not return to this location for these reasons. Also we could not turn the air on. The unit was not working properly and we were so hot during the night and day. The shower head also had terrible pressure, so it was almost coming straight down, instead of shooting out. I am NOT one to complain about anything. But these key issues really turned me off to this hotel.
Hotel is average in quality, it's good if you just want it to crash overnight. Staff are nice and helpful, rooms are fairly clean with fair room service, breakfast is fair too. It is not luxurious or modern
The hotel is the role model for Best Western. Large and spacious well decorated rooms and nice breakfast. The staff ,specially Jeff was extremely friendly. The internet speed was excellent . the shower temperature and pressure was perfect Very Nice Excellence at par!!!
It was a random selection but I totally liked my stay at this particular location. The stuff was nice and accommodating, had good internet (well, good for a hotel) and clean room and beds. I guess what i liked the most was the aesthetic sense of the room plus it was bright and felt spacious.
Stopped to stay the night on the way to New York City. The location was out of the way and when I walked in to check in, none of the employees had shoes on. One was barefoot and it was 35 outside. The room was rundown with wires hanging out of the walls, cobwebs on the ceiling, carpet that has not been vacuumed for ages. The bathroom wall was being held together with a piece of duct tape. No hi def tv. Breakfast was underwhelming, like this whole experience. No bath towels in the from, took half an hour to receive them when I asked.
I've stayed here 2x's in the past 30 days. I do not think I'll return unless I'm in a jam. It needs help. Things need to be repaired......looks sloppy and dirty. Definitely needs a thorough cleaning. First room didn't have a hairdryer...so when I get out of shower and I realize there isn't one...i have to wait for someone to bring me one and then i'm questioned 2 times about did I look in the closet? It should be in the closet. There was no hair dryer in the room. The bedding was disgusting. They should've been ashamed of themselves to let people sleep on it. Burn marks on the sheets and comforter. Big marker stains on white comforter and lots of other stains. SO GROSS. I didnt notice until the morning I was leaving because I didnt check. I complained to manager and she didnt seem to care. My current room has dead bugs in the lights...clock doesnt work. outlets don't work. curtain is torn and not hung properly. Lampshades ripped/torn. Missing towels in bathroom. Overall..if you are looking for a cheapish place to lay your head and you aren't paying attention to details....it's fine. Otherwise, go somewhere else.
Some background, I had stayed here in the past and felt it was value for money. This time, whole I noted the new carpets and other uncompleted renovations, I shuddered at how much the standards had dropped. Mainly the cleanliness or lack of cleanliness in the rooms.. the bedding was not sanitary. . Then the air conditioner in the room wasn't heating anything... I shudder what would happen in winter... the hallways had some uncompleted patch work in several places... My overall conclusion was standards had dropped fast and management was slacking and this is fast becoming a motel rather than a hotel. while the location is great, there are other places on the area that offer much better value for similar price.
We had a four night stay here and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our room was clean and the bed was excellent. It is a busy hotel with many tour buses but we found it to be quiet in our room. The check in and checkout processes were quick and efficient. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as we chose to eat next door at IHOP. The location of this hotel is excellent for shopping with a mall just across the street.
I enjoyed our stay at the BW Hotel in East Brunswick, NJ. Check in was easy and the rooms are very nice and clean. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located nearby many restaurants and there is a big mall across the street. It is only 35 min from NYC which is a big plus. I will stay here again. Highly recommended.
Stayed there four nights with bus tour. First room was foul smelling like mold. The room next door was filthy so both moved upstairs. Better room but still dirty. Plug in bathroom not working and no heat. Room across hall had broken toilet. Bedbugs found in two other rooms and despite pictures management refused to acknowledge. They also avoided contact. One person works the entire hotel from 3 onward. My up most respect goes to Kia at the front desk who does her best to resolve issues for customers. Lovely person and deserves a raise. After complaints some improvement shown in daily cleaning. The whole place needs to be gutted as carpet dirty and stinks, plaster crumbling, mold, just yuck. Room keys had to be reset every day. Worst of it was management just really didn't care.
Went on a bus shopping trip, the worst mistake we ever made was staying at this dump. All the rooms had a smell not a fresh smell, it was musty/moldy, the blanket had a stain on it, one of the towels had five holes in it, I wouldn't even give a towel with holes to a guest at my own home, the chairs were stained, lamps had no light bulbs with torn lampshades, bedskirt had a hole and was very wrinkled, the windows were so filthy dirty that they were gray in color, the dry wall was not taped properly to the wall by the window you could push on it and it would move, each day we left to go shopping we had to get our keycards re-activated, mold on the ice machine, the door to the upstairs rooms was kept open by a rock when it should have been locked after all it was keycard entry, the staff didn't wear uniforms or name tags so you didn't know if they were guest or workers, when I requested towels they didn't give them to me until the next afternoon, we put the do not disturb sign in our door but they went in anyway and they took the sign, this place is so bad that the pop machine was also messed up, you press orange pop you get lemonade. Our tour organizers wanted to meet with the manager of the place and she would not come in to meet with them, we were there from November 3-7,2016. I wouldn't stay there again if they gave me the room for free. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
This hotel is the worst!!! Dirty, items don't work and the staff is not helpfull. The rooms have a stale odor, beds have a foam topping on the mattress, sheets are worn and so are the towels. Worst experience I have ever had!
We stayed there only once because it was close to family but we were disappointed in the condition of the room and breakfast. When we arrived for breakfast we were greeted by a bus load of people. There had to be at least 30 people in the very small eating room and most of the food was gone. The hotel needs to be updated. We have been back several times to that area and stayed at a different hotel.
Great hotel for the price. Location is nice, very close to the mall and restaurants. Rooms were clean. Only negative thing I noticed was the smell of smoke in the hallways, but the rooms smelled fine.
First, the good points: most of the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a issue with our room not having hot water and they quickly moved us to another room which also happened to be nicer. The king bed was comfortable and there was a choice of two size pillows. The room had a microwave and refrigerator and the location of the hotel is convenient to restaurants and a shopping mall. Our room faced the back and it was quiet. Now for the negatives: the first room was non-smoking but smelled awful and we couldn't get hot water in the bathroom. The floor was filthy and appeared to have only vacuumed in the center. There were wrappers and dirt behind the furniture and along the sides by the walls. The chairs in both rooms were dirty. The hair dryer didn't function correctly. The shower water didn't drain and flooded the entire bathroom floor. The ceiling had major damage that was poorly patched. They ran out of towels. Breakfast is sad with some pancakes, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, mini muffins and bagels, juice, and terrible tasty coffee. There was a sign saying to ask for gluten free options which I did and the woman at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about. She got rather annoyed and finally told someone to take the sign down. While, we realize the price here is much lower than other hotels in the area, and you can find a coupon for an additional discount, we don't plan to stay here again.
The room was ok but the internet was terrible...it kept shutting off and i had to constantly reset it, the 2 chairs in my room were filthy so i stayed on the bed. The lady at the front desk was friendly, the room has a fridge, microwave, and iron. Internet is important to me so hopefully this property addresses the issue with it.
not the best and not the cleanest but you get what you pay for. the rooms could be cleaner the staff nicer but i guess that's way its only a 2 star hotel. the area this in was great, motel and dinning in walking distant.
No matter how many times we asked for towels. we never got them. This being said we asked the cleaning ladies and the desk. But it would take hours for them to bring any and we needed them within 5hr not 24.
We stayed here for just one night. The room itself was located on the 2nd floor, and adequate for our needs. This motel establishment does not have an elevator, so we had to lug our bags up a flight of stairs. Breakfast was chaotic as there was a large group of college-age young adults getting their food to go while their tour guide yelled at them to get on the bus ASAP. The trash can was filled to the brim, with coffee grains spilt on the floor. The tables were not cleaned up after the guests' use. At the end of our continental breakfast, a staff member did come along to clean up the mess on the floor. The only saving grace was the motel's close proximity to Olive Garden across the street. I don't think I'd stay here again, although I think the other motel choices may be similar in value.
This BW is one of my favorite locations when driving up to JFK from NC or vice versa. Quiet location for good sleep; walking distance to good restaurants and short drive for shopping. Variety for breakfast and good coffee. My only complaint is that the carpet in our room needed a good cleaning and shampoo.
Stayed one night. When i first come to room everything was ok. But when i sit down to toilet i saw a lot of bristles on the ground from previous customer. it was disgusting And when you are in the room you can hear all the steps at main hall
I checked in at the last minute and got a very nice single room. There were many people in the lobby getting new keys for their rooms. My sleep was great until I got up early to start my journey home and wanted to just have a nice shower before I left. I let the water run for about 10 minutes, but NO HOT WATER. When I went to the desk to check out, I was told the entire hotel had a problem and that the manager would contact me about a credit. Gave them my email and cell phone. We shall see.
Length/Type: 2-night stay, tour package accommodations Hotel Rating: 3-star Tour Company: Sinorama Tours Travel Dates: August 24-26, 2016 (Wed.-Fri.) Overall Experience: Fair Good Points: - Free Wi-Fi, newspapers available in lobby - Comfortable bed - In-room coffee maker - Hotel located across the street from a shopping mall Bad Points: - In-room A/C was noisy & weak (had to change rooms) - Included breakfast was poor, buffet & sitting area much too small - Second floor smelt bad - Far from NYC (1h drive from Manhattan) General Overview This was an included 2-night hotel stay, part of a New York City sightseeing tour. I will admit, this is more of a motel rather than a hotel. The lobby was small and the breakfast area was even smaller. Speaking of which, the included breakfast wasn't very good. You had a small selection of toast and bagels, juice, coffee and cereals. There were also a few hard-boiled eggs and firm flapjacks, which weren't too appetizing. As for the breakfast sitting area, there were 4-5 tables, each siting 4 people. It was very small and compact. Once it got busy, there was nowhere to sit. The self-serve buffet reminded me of a typical airplane galley. The whole area became very crowded once everyone on our tour showed up for breakfast (serving yourself was impossible). As for the room, it was average size (as well as the bathroom), but clearly outdated and run down. On the upside, there was Wi-Fi available and there were shops and restaurants located in the vicinity. The Room The furniture in the room was worn out and broken in certain cases. The knobs on the drawer units were loose, with run down corners. The wall- mounted lamp by the desk didn't work and the A/C unit wasn't very powerful (we had to switch rooms when we first arrived, since the first room we got had virtually no A/C). The second floor hallway (where our room was located) had a strong cigarette smoke odor. Yet the beds in the room were comfortable and the room itself was relatively clean. Advice to those staying: - This is a budget hotel. If you're visiting New York City and just need an inexpensive place to stay for a few nights, this hotel is ok. Bare in mind, it is a 1-hour drive from Manhattan (and that's with good traffic along the New Jersey Turnpike). - Don't bother going to the breakfast buffet. Spend the extra $10-15 and go to IHOP or Denny's instead, right in front of the hotel. You'll get a much better meal served to you in a quieter setting.
Vanessa was very friendly at check in. The rooms were clean. I enjoyed the fact that ihop gave us a 20 percent discount. East Brunswick Square Mall is right across the highway, which is walking distance. The room was clean, maids were friendly in the morning. I had express check out which was very convent.
My family and I stopped in around 11pm and left before 8am the next day. As a stopover, this hotel was acceptable. The room seemed clean, the beds comfortable. The morning breakfast had hard-boiled eggs, pancakes (in a hot-plate, so crisped in the bottom layer), cereal, milk, coffee, tea, juice. pastries. No make-it-yourself waffle, but whatever. The only real complaint I have is that our non-smoking room certainly smelled as if smokers had inhabited it more than once or twice before our stay.
I spent 2 nights in this hotel when I visited New York earlier this month. However, this is way too far from Manhattan. First of all, for me this is not a hotel - this is Motel. Very far from new York and if that is a purpose of your visit (to go to Manhattan) it is much better to find something else. This is about one hour ride from there. There is very small breakfast area and I had to take my breakfast in the room. It was impossible to find available chair or table. Breakfast itself is not too good with almost no warm stuff (just pancakes). My room was on the ground level and parking is just 3-4 meters from my window. Room was clean and bad was OK, however bathroom is very small. It is not that bad, however I will never come again.
The price is right. The service was great--we had a terrific interaction with the desk attendant. But...the included b'fast is not great. They put out two towels for a room with two queen beds (there were four of us) and there was one caffineeted coffee for the in-room coffee maker. Also, they have an adjustable showerhead, but the water pressure is so bad, that this is ridiculous. Fine for a quick stop. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
Absolutely horrible stay. The staff was rude, the room was unclean, the guests were loud and using drugs outside. Forced to sign a waiver that stated that I agreed to increased police presence around the area due to a group of guests also staying there. Costs way too much for the location.
Had a cery comfortable stay at Best Western staff was great the Continental breakfast was and Mrs Vanessa was a big help with stay so thank i will come again . I would recommend if ur traveling to stay at the motel. There restaurants, stores and even a Mall within walking distance from the place
We stopped here supposablly it was right off the highway, but it's right about four miles down the highway. At the hotel there was wiring that needed to be taken care of, they were sticking out. All that needed to be done was to have a cover on it. Both ice machines didn't work. The breakfast room was as big as a walk in closet. There was a bus load of kids so they had the whole kitchen they stayed in the kitchen until it closed. At 9:00 sharp. So no one else could eat. They should have extended the breakfast meal but they were on a schedule.
My stay was great & the girls name was Vanessa who checked me in and she was very friendly and helpful thank you for everything You were a really help and I would deff come back and stay here now till next time thank you again Vanessa ??
Vanessa at the front desk in east Brunswick, nj on Rt 18 was the nicest person and very helpful. My room was clean and it was a very peaceful environment. It's also next to a iHop, Denny's, and a red lobster. Across the street from the mall. Would def. come back.
Nice place and great service. I was unsure of how it was going to be until I spoke to the lovely young lady at the front desk she was very welcoming and friendly. I believe her name was Vanessa. Will stay here again.
Had a great stay here the other week. Who can complain when you have ihop on one side and workoutworld on the other. The rooms where clean and all but I was surprisingly satisfied with the staff. The girl at the front desk (Vanessa I believe) was really helpful with everything. Needed towels, got them in less than one minute. I had left my charger in my room after my stay, came back and it was ready and waiting for me at the front desk. No complaints there.
This hotel is a great option if you're in the area. Friendly, helpful staff, nicely appointed rooms, and a great value for the rate. The location is really convenient to everything and other amenities such as breakfast and the fitness center were nice. I looked into other options in the area but this one seemed the nicest. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again
very nice and thoughtful people who care about there customers, the rewards programs is nice and offer free nights as often as u get your rewads points up.it is a cozy exceptional experience with desirable accomendations.nice people, nice surrrodings, cozy rooms, television offers nice programs ,air conditioner is good.the staff offers there politiefulness when the need for towels and washrags are available.aint augustine, florida with lady named felicia froom jamaica, she works front counter and offered excellent customer service.she went out of her way be on the calll of duty to exempplfly a good moldel citisen who cared about her customers.she was extremly nice and kind and was very friendly young lady.
I stayed there with for 3 nights , It was a college reunion. Service given at BEST WESTERN was nice they responded to our needs even at early morning hours. I liked the fitness center it was pretty decent had almost everything needed. It was value for money, would definitely visit again.
Nice and clean, great customer service. Located right opposite the mall. Dennis and iHop walking distance which makes last minute dinner very easy. I would recommend for families as well as people on business trips.
Really poor cleanliness, and hotel wouldn't return calls afterwards when we forgot something in the room and requested that it be shipped. We offered to pay for the shipping and do anything we could to help.
although the hotel could use face lift as far as mattresses etc it has gotten alot better over the past few years . Fast check in and check out close proximity to the race track and other ammenities what else could you ask for ?
it was a clean room. everything looked new. tv was pretty big for a hotel tv. breakfast was very busy with asians but once they cleared out it was nice to see everything was cleaned in amatter of minutes and restocked. kudos to the breakfats staff. lobby is cold and clean. bed was the most confortable ive been in. ill come back here as often as possible. thanks guys
Tuesday May 17th I checked in around 4:30pm. Vanessa at check in was calm but efficient. I was given a quiet upstairs room in the back. The room was clean and everything worked. The bed had a foam pad on top which made for good sleeping. I realized I left my credit card at check in and Vanessa had it ready for me when I asked for it. There is an IHOP and a Denny's within a short 3 min walk or so from this motel that are 24 hours so that's convenient. It's not new but quiet and clean. Good deal for the money.
This hotel is very central and across a big shopping center. The hotel has loads of restaurants around it, like 24 hour IHop (pancake and all day breakfast) plus Red Lobster plus so much more. The rooms are very clean. Plus the hotel does offer a free small gym (but if the gym isn't big enough or you want a full gym you will find a massive WOW exercise gym at the back of the hotel, they give you a free 5 day pass to train) The only thing I wish the hotel had is an on-site laundry area. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I hotel I would recommend.
staff always smiling and helpful in any way needed .Will give directions or help with things to see in area .Conveniant to all highways and NJ Turnpike. Food available in many locations within walking distance and delivery available.Fitness center quiet
Gotta say this hotel, was clean and best of all near everything. Several restaurants at walking distance. The mall was right across the street- great place to stay. Definitely staying there again and recommend it.
Just take my word for it. Do not go through booking.com or to this best western. Lost about 100 dollars because they screwed up my reservation. The walls are so thin if you are a late sleeper expect to be woken up at 8am or earlier. The lights didn't work so every night I had to unscrew the light bulbs, Toilet didn't flush, desk was cracked in half. Whole room smelled like chorine when we checked in.
Needed a hotel while attending a conference. Open arms welcome from the staff. Hotel is comfortable and convenient. Breakfast is available but very close dining options nearby. I would stay there again in the future.
This is the best place to stay within the proximity of everything around and easy to get to places. I have been traveling a lot and found this is the best place to stay as they give great attention so that your stay is comfortable and smooth.
I stayed overnight at this hotel to attend a conference It was clean and convenient. I felt welcomed by the staff. Breakfast was available. You have other dining options near the hotel as well as shopping. Was perfectly suited for my needs.
My husband and I decided to go on a road trip to explore New Jersey. Before, we knew it, it was 9:00 and we decided to look for a hotel. The nearest hotel where we were located at was Best Western so we stop and checked in. When we checked in we ask the young lady Vanessa at the front desk a lot of questions, such as ,"Is there a washer and dryer machine," "What will you guys be striving at breakfast," "Are the rooms and bathrooms good in size" and etc. She asked so professional that me and my husband were in shocked. She is a very nice and professional young lady! Im so glad that this respectful lady checked us in, Vanessa helped my husband and I a lot!
It was an awesome visit. Vanessa at the front desk was amazing and not only woke us up with her amazing energy but was able to answer all our questions. Vanessa even made sure to ask if we needed a wake up call set as we were telling her our big plans for the week.
Vanessa was very kind and generous in helping me at the front desk. She chose the best suited room for me which I gladly appreciated. I would definitely recommend other friends and family members to stay at Best Western Inn
I stayed at the east Brunswick location a couple weeks ago and I am just in awe with how great and how quick anything I needed was taken care of. Vanessa ferreira was the definition of hospitality. the energy and professionalism was on point from beginning to end. Just wanted to thank you guys and her for an amazing experience will recommend and use again.
I had a great stay! I'm new to the area and Vanessa at the front desk was very helpful and sweet. This is the type of customer service the hospitality industry strives for, great job! I will be staying again this summer.
It was a great price and if you're just there to sleep and hang out like I was then it'll definitely be worth the price you paid. The breakfast was good. Really great location. Close to everything. Will be staying again in the summer.
Very clean and comfortable room. The price was more than I wanted to pay but I didn't have reservations and it was on a weekend. Breakfast was conventional. You got 20% off your meal if you ate at the nearby IHop. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Terrible experience. Not clean, felt unsafe, breakfast was not available because nothing was restocked and people were walking out with trays of food- no monitoring. Bathroom was dirty and when AC was turned out black ash was shooting out of it. Was a smoking room/floor and still has smell. Very unsatisfied. Switched to a Hilton for the same rate and had a much better experience. Will not stay at a Best Western again.
If you need a room to sleep in this is a good place. Price was above average for this hotel. Stayed at 4 star hotels that cost less than this one. Beds comfortable. Dennys and IHOP right in walking distance. Front desk staff very nice and helpful.
This hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, My kids were attending a dance competition event, where we have been competing for the last 10 years, and never have i stayed in such a terrible place. Rooms stunk of smoke, room was not cleaned properly, no room attendant service, no replenishment of towels or toilet paper. Garbage left for 2 days. They lost all my information after i checked in and then tried to check someone else in at 1 am. was not offered any accommodations at all. worst ever.
This property is so run down, old, gross, stinky and horrid. I'm ashamed that Best Westen keeps its name on this. It's really a waste, because it has a great location for getting into the city, but it isn't worth it. Pay a little more to get somewhere that isn't nasty. The ice machines didn't work, the floors are all uneven. The rooms stink. The hallways stink. They are just milking this property for money and not putting a dime back into it.
The door knob was broken and they never came to fix it, but everything else was ok. They didnt let me a deposit, everything was clean, the staff was very friendly and is near to airport. Just a few minutes from Walmart and other stores too.
Last minute booking, location wasn't the key. Price was surprising good via Hotwire, I guess it was because there was road works on Rt 18, a bit noisy, but door sound proof was good enough, didn't hear a thing in the room. Cleanness, wifi, reception, parking...everything was just what a BW should be, except bathtub didn't work well if you want to have hot bath after a long day. Breakfast, standard...
This is best place to stay if you are in central Jersey area. There are lot of places around so you will never be bored. Hotel is very clean and staff are excellent. Very quit in the night so you can sleep well. I am coming back for sure!
I was there for a night.. and the room could be better.. but cant complain too much as it was very good price... We booked this hotel by mistake.... coz of the link glitch.. we wanted to book hilton and booked this and it was non refundable.. so ended up staying here..
Good location. Polite staff and hearty breakfast. Unfortunately, if you have noisy neighbors in the next room, you'll have to solve this problem yourself. Although the room looked clean, the carpet on the floor is very dirty and stinks. It's time to cover the laminate flooring.
Easy access to NYC, Rutgers and Phila for an affordable price. Rooms are clean, wifi free, free breakfast and newspapers with accommodating staff. Restaurants and great shopping nearby. We stay here often.
Great value, clean rooms, and very close to my business meeting. I come here all the time. Vanessa was an absolute charm and was extremely helpful, friendly and personable. Seemed like she really cared! The free breakfast was nice, and the coffee was hot and fresh. NICE JOB!!!!!!!!!
I really had a great stay. I visit East Burnswick twice a year to visit my family in the area. This was my first time at the Best Western. I wish I knew about this place before. My room appeared recently upgraded. Very spacious and nice decor. The staff all around was very friendly and helpful. Tip*request 2nd floor--nice and quiet rooms.
My company booked my stay at this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised what a great stay I had. The location was excellent --near many restaurants and shopping. The staff amazing--always greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. My room was very clean and smelled good too. I will recommend this hotel to my company.
This Best Western is in a fantastic location--convenient to highways and easy walking distance to several shopping malls. I had a difficult experience due to problems with the doors (to staircase to second floor and room door locks not working properly with card key) as well as the toilets not flushing well in either of the rooms that I was put in. However, I will say that the management was very responsive to my concerns and I would give this hotel another chance in the future. Wifi, TV, and breakfast were all decent (although the fruit selection was a basket of nearly rotten, tasteless apples) and as I mentioned, the location is terrific. A pretty good value if they fix the doors and the toilets!
Strongly recommended This was my second stay at this hotel there price is very fair ,staff is very friendly and clean good room service girl on front desk Name VANESSA she is wonderful girl very polite and helpful thanks a lot to her Definitely if I have to stay around this area will use this hotel again and again
It was very pleasant stay at this hotel, but i had very bad experience at the time of check in. The front desk staff assigned me the room where someone was already was there, and that was vary embarrassing for me. The front desk manager charged me $10 extra as she/ he didn't know about my rates. But rooms were cleaned and breakfast was good.
The Hotel is not is not great, it just served it's purpose for a 3 day Business trip. The Beds were good and the Restaurants were within walking distance and a shopping Mall was across the RTE#18 High way. If your not looking for a Waldorf Asotria, It will fit your needs. Ask for Crystal.
My fiancé and I needed to stay at a pet friendly hotel that was close to my aunt and uncle's place. We initially found a different hotel that was gross... then we found Best Western and we were greatly impressed with the benefits of staying at Best Western.
This was my first time staying at Best Western. Vanessa is one of the most enjoyable people that I have meet. She was very helpful and make the checking process very enjoyable. She bring life to Best Western. I have travel to many different place and I have not encounter a more enjoyable people. I wish all hotels had a person like Vanessa. If she lived in my home state I would most definitely offer her a job with my company.
Enjoyed a very nice stay at the Best Western. This was one of the better Best Westerns I've stayed at. Friendly staff, Vanessa was very helpful checking me in and telling about restaurants nearby. I had a very good experience and will return to the BWI next time I am here on business.
I enjoy my stay at the best western. Vanessa was very friendly and funny I didn't have time to go into the breakfast area. The gym was small but useful I didn't even know it was their until Vanessa told me about it. I will stay here again and I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
Kristal at the front desk is so pleasant and helpful. She helped make my stay very enjoyable. Lots to do near by mall, restaurants ect. Easy access to major highways.I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in town.
I very recently spent a few day at your hotel in East Brunswick while visiting some old friends. The room was great, the bed was comfortable, but the part was Vanessa Ferreira. She checked me in and was very energetic and helpful. Whenever I came into or exited the hotel she greeted me with a big smile. Whenever I needed something she made sure I got it in a timely manner. Very great time and when I'm in the area again I definitely will be staying with you. Thank you for the great stay.
I had the pleasure of spending a night at the Best Western a few days ago. I was greeted by Venessa who made sure that all our requirements were met. The bed was really comfy for my bad back. Will certainly be back.
I was traveling through the area and needed to lay over for the night. Having stayed at Best Western hotels in the past I was relieved when I saw this one show up on my GPS. My room was clean, took a while for the heat to get up to where I was comfortable, but that I kind of expected. The bathroom was clean, I think it is time to get a new mattress and box spring though. I had the breakfast that was available in the morning, not bad, there sure were a lot of Asian people and they were pretty loud, but I wasn't there for too long so I just dealt with it. The young woman running the front desk Vanessa was a pleasure to deal with. Very accommodating and answered the questions I had for her quickly. She is an asset to this organization. All in all a decent spot to catch up on sleep before continuing my trip. Make sure someone praises Vanessa for her hospitality.
Overall, it is a nice place to stay when traveling to celebrate an activity after a few cocktails. I only wish they had a restaurant with a breakfast menu instead of a few items buffet style. Best Western in NYACK provides a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
stayed at this hotel this weekend with some friends to attend a concert at Starland Ballroom. The hotel looks gross from the outside and the rooms are not any better. the beds are uncomfortable and the bathroom so tiny you can barely move (i am 5'2 and thin) we checked out on Sunday morning with no issues.. then on my way to work on Monday i checked my credit card statement and see a charge for $200 .. I called the hotel and they said it was a "cleaning fee" added to the room.. They never called me or emailed me to inform me they would be making this charge on my card and its even more ridiculous because the "cleaning fee" was DOUBLE the price of the whole room itself..
The Good: Comfortable Beds, Hot Shower and Clean. Rooms are a little older and have shown signs of repairs, but clean. House Keeping is above average in most hotels. The Okay: Breakfast was average, consisted of cook yourself waffles, cereal, toast, oatmeal, boiled eggs, coffee, juice basic fruit and yogurt, but not always ready at the time of posting, so leave extra time in the mornings
Nice Hotel great location and very nice staff. The beds were okay and the bathrooms were nice and clean. The Breakfast could be a little better but there is a IHOP next door that takes 20% off your bill if you stay here. The mall is across the street.
The pictures on all travel websites for this hotel are either from when the place just opened or from another location altogether. The inside is filthy and broken down. I requested a new room after my first room had no closet door, a room lock that didn't work, missing ceiling tiles in the bathroom, what appeared to be blood on the shower curtain, a leaking faucet, and a hole in the wall. The second room honestly was not ANY better. However, I only needed to be there for a night and at least there didn't appear to be stains this time and the lock for the door worked. The staff was unfriendly and more interested in watching Botched then fixing the messed up reservations. They are still trying to charge me double for a place I didn't want to be in the first place. Don't be deceived by positive reviews from people most likely who stayed years ago or were payed to write them. Keep driving and find a cleaner, safer environment for yourself and your families.
one room had a faulty lock that didn't lock. the other a broken heater, and it was more important to the clerk that it looked bad to have one guest with two issues in one day than to satisfy the guest. thought it might get him in trouble. amazing.
We stayed with a group using 15 rooms. This is a great location for shopping and food. Everything is in walking distance. That being said, I'm sad to not use this hotel again until they upgrade. The rooms had a strange odor. From the cleaning chemicals I would guess. The king size beds had old spring type mattresses that they put the egg carton type foam on the top of to make them softer or so the springs wouldn't poke through. This did not stop the beds from sagging in the middle and being extremely uncomfortable. A couple of our folks even changed rooms. Didn't help. The cleaning staff needs training as carpets were dirty and bathrooms not cleaned properly. Other than a great location, this one is not for us until they get new beds and clean up a bit.
Called for reservation and was greeted by the friendly voice of Tenisha. My call time was short, informative and a pleasure. Arrived and check in was a breeze! Traveling with our dog asked for a ground floor and was pleasantly surprised to learn all of their dog rooms are ground floor! Plenty of green space to use and nicely groomed. Our room was comfortable and clean. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Breakfast area was kept full and fresh. We stayed for a local dog sport event, looking forward to returning in the spring!!
Tankila the front desk manager is amazing she made me feel right at home she checked me in right away to my favorite room the room is clean the area is quiet the bed is comfortable thanks again for every thing
I wanna tank The front desk Tankila for making me feel right at home thank u she always go out of her way to make sure i'm enjoying my stay she is also lots of fun to talk place is quiet and clean and comfortable excellent customer service
The short night's stay was quiet. The amenities are older and in need of an upgrade. There was plenty of hot water. I only stayed several hours due to an upcoming engagement. Mattress was a tiny bit uncomfortable.
Came just for a night for diesel nationals event with friends. Checked in room stunk of mildew and had a used dirty razor in the bathroom. Switched us to a new room, still stinks. Gonna drive an hour home and eat the $100 than stay in this gross Smelly room
All is good except for the included breakfast, wasn't upon expectations, need to work on the hygiene part of the breakfast hall , and the variety of food, apart from that the place was convenient for sleeping , clean and fairly comfortable
Hotel Front desk was rude at check in and room stunk like pesticide and had half dead roaches. Would never stay here again. Then Breakfast ? what a joke. Nothing to eat unless you wanted syrup coated waffles, sweet rolls or cereal. If you are a diabetic or lactose intolerant you are in trouble.
