Description

We look forward to welcoming you at The Best Western Victoria Palace hotel in Central London, for a modern and cozy break in the capital. Whilst staying with us you will enjoy a prime location in the very heart of London, within walking distance of many of the city's most celebrated attractions. Buckingham Palace is less than a 20-minute walk away, so why not head there for 10:30 a.m. and get a good spot for the changing of the guard. You’ll also be a 20 minute walk from the London Eye, for some breath-taking birds eye views of the city. Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and Downing Street (to name a few) are also close by, meaning you’ll be able to tick off all the biggest points of interest. For something a little more obscure – we’ll have plenty of recommendations. Visit the night time food market Street Feast, Kayak down the Thames, or visit Jumeirah Carlton Tower for a spectacular 1960’s afternoon tea. If you’re visiting London for a weekend of spending, Carnaby Street and Oxford Street are both just 20 minutes away by tube. If you feel like a more extravagant splurge, London’s highly exclusive Mayfair is also 20 minutes away. You’re sure to work up an appetite during your day of sightseeing or shopping, so check out Time Out’s listing of the best restaurants in London for some incredible - yet still very affordable – food spots. If you wish to venture away from London, we're proud to be a hugely convenient London hotel just five minutes’ walk of Victoria Station and Victoria Coach Station.

"Very enjoyable stay"
Travel4781, 08 Août 2022

We stayed in a family room which was in a converted house a few doors down from the main hotel, it was self contained and had its own little kitchen which was an unexpected surprise. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and were there 24 hours if you needed anything. The beds were comfortable and the room was lovely and clean, what more could you ask for. Victoria train and tube station was about a 10 walk away on the same road so you can easily find it. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Wonderful staff and great neighborhood!"
Susan N, 26 Juillet 2022

I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. The location is great - just a few minutes to walk to Victoria Station. There are many good options for restaurants nearby as well as a laundromat, supermarket, etc. Great choice for a short stay or a longer one.

"Sleepless night"
160zakr, 01 Décembre 2021

Stayed in room 621 on a short trip to see a play. The service was helpful, receptionist was nice. Easy to find, v close to Victoria and the room was expectedly small. It was basic, clean except for some kinky hand prints on the walls the cleaners hadn't noticed. Nothing really to complain about in those regards. But we had an air conditioning unit outside our window and a door to service it. The window was poorly fitted, with cold air flowing in even when it was closed. But the main problem was noise. The noise from both the trains and AC unit dominated our room. The window and door did nothing to dampen it at all. It was so loud that neither me nor my partner slept. Ironically, our AC didn't seem to be working. Other reviews of this hotel indicate this problem doesn't effect all rooms, but why roll the dice? A hotels basic function is sleep, if it fails in that respect it fails entirely.

"Very good hotel near Victoria Station"
Gl0balCitizen2013, 09 Mai 2020

We had to visit London for 2 days for some paperwork at an embassy and wanted to stay near Belgravia, as well as near a tube station. Best Western Hotel offered the best value for money. We were quite happy with our triple room and the facilities provided. The room was nice and clean, everything worked properly. There was a big window, that looked out on the street, but once you closed it, there was very little traffic noise. Our room was in a different building, from the main reception/dining facilities building, but it didn't bother us much. For me, the fact that going up to our room involved climbing several flights of stairs was slightly more inconvenient. Anyways, our luggage was light, and the lovely young man who showed us to our room, offered to carry it for us. Since, there is no lift, the hotel might be inconvenient for people with mobility issues. However, it is 5 mins walk away from Victoria Station, so one can explore London quite easily, given the transport links. Also, it is easy to go to Victoria Station from Euston train station, in case you are travelling to London from up north, like us.

"First London Experience"
Justin D, 17 Mars 2020

This is my second stay at Best Western with the first being in the Fort Lauderdale area. After visiting that location and experiencing no problems, reasonable pricing and a spacious double room, I was severely disappointed in the London branch. PROS - 1) Check in and check out was fast and efficient with no problems 2) Front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly 3) Internet/ Wifi services were great with good connection throughout and seldom dropped calls. They even facilitated easy streaming. CONS - 1) Rooms were much smaller than I expected especially for a double room. The toilet and shower were extremely cramped as well. You could hear your neighbours very easily and whenever anyone opened/ closed doors or walked up/down stairs. 2) Water heating when showering was fickle. Sometimes the water would get freezing cold while showering and then extremely hot. As I stayed 7 days this began to get extremely irritating. 3) Breakfast was not included in the package and for 12.50 pounds for breakfast, this was extremely steep compared with delicious cheaper options nearby. Even friends living years in England were astounded by the price. 4) I asked room service on 2 occasions for an extra roll of toilet paper but left my stay without getting this. I understand the Corona Virus pandemic and shortages but I was merely asking for 1 roll. Luckily I didn't stay one day extra. 5) Pricing overall was a bit high for what I experienced. I understand it is the city but if I had the same experience as I did in Fort Lauderdale, I would not have complained about this last point. OVERALL - I wouldn't recommend for people staying above 2 days. Definitely could pay a cheaper price in an Airbnb or pay a little bit more at another place for breakfast included.

"Best Western, best value!"
leighemma2020, 03 Mars 2020

Super hotel in excellent position geographically. Lovely staff and everything in the room you could require. A treat to be able to open the window to let in fresh air, though double glazing best for sleep to keep out the traffic noise. Will definitely go again.

"Value for money, no frills"
sgalty, 28 Février 2020

2 night stay while attending a conference nearby. Convenient location with lots of evening eating opportunities within short walking distance. Compact bedroom with a small bathroom and very limited hanging space and would be a challenge for 2 occupants. Bed was comfortable for a single person and desk space was adequate with appropriate USB and power sockets. Breakfast at £12.50 was very expensive for just cereal and coffee; hot food offered but there should be an option for continental breakfast or hot breakfast.

"Friendly and helpful staff and good location. London quality-price, unfortunately"
Matt D, 27 Février 2020

There are few secrets in the London hotel market. For the 150 pounds a night (breakfast not included) I paid at the BW Victoria Palace I got a small room with two single beds on the 5th floor (no lift). This is no worse than anywhere else, expect that room was very average in terms of design and finish. The very friendly staff help to make up for the off-the shelf Ikea style fittings. Honestly, this is pretty typical for central London and I have seen much worse. I wouldn´t not stay here again. Faint praise but that´s the London hotel experience.

"Convenient"
Clare Marie D, 21 Février 2020

Stayed here for 2 nights as I was sight seeing in London Town. Great location, located 5 minutes away from Victoria train station. Despite busy location the room was very quiet and you couldn't here any traffic. The staff were very friendly and the room, whilst a bit tired was spotlessly clean. They have a left luggage facility as well which is handy. Would recommend for a brief stay if you are shot going to spend much tine in the room.

"A very good place to stay"
Roger S, 13 Février 2020

Good clean hotel and friendly staff always will to help if needed, very good location for trains, buses and coaches, with only a few minutes walk from Victoria train and coach stations, nearest bus stop, just around the corner

"It's a lovely hotel"
166selint, 02 Février 2020

The hotel is very well located, very close to the Victoria Station, from where you can go anywhere in London. Even when you don't want to use the Underground, you can walk to many places from the hotel. The rooms are small but they are quite comfortable and clean. The internet connection is fast at all times. The reception is always helpful. It is a good choice for a moderate price. We will definitely visit again next year.

"Has everything you need but in desperate need of some TLC"
annabW4690RC, 29 Janvier 2020

Stayed here for two nights while visiting friends. Location is very convenient, 5-10 mins walk from Victoria station. The area seemed quite safe as mostly just hotels in the are. The room itself is a bit run down, for example, walls and ceilings had marks and stains on them. Some fresh paint would make it look way better. However the bathroom looked recently renovated and modern, although quite small. The room was very small, but enough for one person for a short stay. Would be too tight for two people. The room has everything you may need, including kettle, hair drying, iron and toiletries.

"Good value for the money"
fiona037, 26 Janvier 2020

Good location, at walking distance from Victoria Station. Small, but clean room and bathroom. Very friendly staff. Good value for the money We did not have breakfast in the hotel, there are plenty of breakfast cafés in the neighbourhoud.

"Good hotel for the price "
wunderasacloud, 25 Janvier 2020

Pros: Good price. Good central location about a 10 min walk from the train station. Room was well equipped, clean and recently refurbished. Cons: the rooms are a little small. The shower was a tiny walk in shower (I'm quite petite and barely fitted) and some tatty areas. There was also a lot of stairs to our room (no lift though I imagine there's rooms for disabled guests). For the hotel, price and location, this is a good shout to go for.

"Handy for Victoria station "
moderniste, 15 Janvier 2020

Stopped here through work , great location for Victoria railway station and underground. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby . Buckingham Palace and Westminster Cathedral in walking distance. Reception staff very friendly and showed me to my room as I wasn't in the main hotel but in an annex very closeby . Room has a good powerful shower, shower gel and shampoo provided. Kettle and tea making facilities in your room. Small hairdryer provided . Room small but everything you need on your own is provided. Noisy at times but that's not the hotels fault just some unreasonable guests . I would stay here again for sure

"Absolutely amazing"
Q5193ZPclaudiad, 06 Janvier 2020

I came at the hotel for Xmas. Me and my family were really happy about the staying. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Rooms were tidy and clean. On the last day we also asked to leave our luggages and then come back to take them and they made no problems. I would definitely come back and recommend it!

"Surprisingly quiet!"
Rhian S, 16 Décembre 2019

Myself and a friend booked two single rooms here for two nights. Staff were very friendly on arrival and quick to check in. One of the rooms was upgraded FOC to a double ! We chose this hotel as we were heading to Watford HP Studios and travelling with Golden Tours from Victoria Station. This hotel was a great location for that. We've stayed here a few times before and would recommend this place. Great for the tubes into Central London too. I found the room I had was very quiet and were clean. Bed was very comfortable. We would definitely be coming here again next time.

"Comfortable Visit"
Sam B, 15 Décembre 2019

Stayed over the busy Christmas weekend whilst in London for shopping, The hotel was easy to find and a very good location for going into the busy shopping and tourist areas. Small rooms, but clean and comfortable. The staff were all very attentive and welcoming throughout our time there.

"An excellent stopover"
Hutchl81, 08 Décembre 2019

I stayed at this hotel on my own for one night And as a woman on her own I found it safe, secure and friendly. It is conveniently very close to Victoria station. The staff were helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. I can recommend it .

"Wonderful"
Chris W, 07 Décembre 2019

The staff that greeted us were so helpful, and sorted our every whim. The room was not very spacious compared to some rural retreats, but was clean, tidy, warm, and suited my wife and I perfectly. The buffet breakfast superb, and with my 'dicky ticker', full of wholesome fare as well as the traditional British fried foods. It was an easy walk from Victoria Coach Station as well as the train station. A big plus was the location. Shops, supermarkets, and of course great bars and restaurants within a few yards. The best surprise was the chip shop. We decided to 'eat in' cod and chips. Yeah Right! The menu also has Lobster, Oysters, Mussels, Turbot, and great wine. Like the hotel staff, everyone we met in the area was so nice and friendly. We were there to meet a very long lost relative, and the lobby made the perfect place. With the super staff, great comfort, great breakfast, and perfect location, it made a memorable stay. Thank you all who made this possible.

"Exceptional customer care. Thanks!"
V4192NHemmas, 30 Novembre 2019

We didn't stay in the end however the staff dealt with a situation between hotels.com (booking platform) and ourselves with excellent professionalism and customer service. They were both efficient and courteous with all correspondence and patient with the hotels.com's lack of common sense! If this is the standard of service then I would definitely book to stay when in London next!!

"Perfect for a trip to London"
HelenP3t, 23 Novembre 2019

We needed a base for a short trip to London and this was perfect. It was great value and in a really convenient location. The bed was comfortable and the shower nice and powerful. It was spotlessly clean. The room was very very small but at the price it is excellent value. Not suitable if you want luxury or to spend time in a hotel. But perfect for somewhere to stay while on the move in central London. Also, the staff were exceptionally pleasant and nice. Rohan in particular was so welcoming and lovely.

"Housekeeping Abysmal "
B5372ALbryanl, 21 Novembre 2019

The housekeeping it seems is limited to making the bed. Bathroom tissues left empty. Tea and coffee is not replaced without asking. Coffee mugs are left dirty. Despite asking the reception the same thing the next day. The reception staff were really helpful with directions etc but to me there's better places to stay. Unusual for a Best Western Hotel.

"The best choice near Victoria Station"
anamarciapires, 16 Novembre 2019

I liked everything about this hotel and I reckon it's impossible not to like it. First, the fact that it is quite close to Victoria Station. Second, it's a good value for money. Third, the accommodation was super: the bedroom was the right size, very quiet and extremely clean. It had heating just the right temperature, hot water all the time, modern and cozy furniture and lining that makes you feel at home. A lot of attention is paid to details: you are given welcome cookies, there are amenities for coffee and tea; you have good quality shampoo and hand wash; then, there are lots of hangers, a hair drier and a safe. Although my room was on the 4th floor on a building nearby with no elevator I had the help of a staff member to carry my luggage. Last but not least the staff is unbelievable: everyone does his/her best to make you happy. They lent me an adapter right at check-in. I felt welcomed, safe and a privileged guest. Many thanks to Mr. Rahim Jivraj, who is the hotel manager, a low profile and extremely efficient hardworking man who speaks several languages, Portuguese included; to Lucas, a very polite and friendly member of the staff; to Ms. Otília, an experienced and loving lady who supervises breakfast and pays attention to details; and to the young ladies that provide a wonderful breakfast. Breakfast is really great: besides the traditional English breakfast, you have a huge variety of bread, pastries, jams, cheese, cereals and fruit. It can be no better.

"Good location, staff helpful"
Sharonpaz84, 01 Novembre 2019

Stayed here for one night while we came to watch a show and sightsee. Hotel is a good location, it was very clean and staff were very helpful. Like the photos of London throughout the hotel. Woke up to the nice smell of breakfast.

"Affordable but won't return"
Yoon T, 29 Octobre 2019

Good location. 10min walk from Victoria station and theatres. We were given a ground floor room which was very small. We had almost no rooms to walk around the bed if we laid our luggages on the floor. The infrastructure were very old too and having shower quickly made the room humid.

"Wonderful place to stay"
DQShaw, 28 Octobre 2019

Great location and staff. Just a couple of minute walk to the bus and train stations. Just down the street from Buckingham Palace. Lots of places to eat nearby. We stayed there several times. Each time the room was clean, everything was in working order and the staff was very helpful.

"a good place to stay"
Roger S, 21 Octobre 2019

Have stayed here many times and love it, nice and handy for trains and buses. Most importantly the staff are really good and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable with great beds and fully equipped bathrooms, room has ac and radiators. Will certainly book again.

"Go elsewhere"
thorpite, 10 Octobre 2019

I really REALLY wish we had spent the extra money and gone elsewhere to stay, it would have been worth it. London is expensive, yes, but we would dread coming back here at night. We stayed out extra late one night just to reduce the amount of time in the room. To start with, we were in the main building with the lift, not the annex. But the rooms look nothing like the photos on the website. We had a full size bed jammed into a corner with a small twin in an odd connected room (we requested a double). In going from the "main" room to where this twin bed was, you had to duck as the TV was placed above the doorway. And you had to go past the twin bed to get in the bathroom. The twin bed was also the only place we could put our luggage. The wardrobe was too shallow and narrow to hold anything. The bathroom was so small it was hard to turn around in there. You could not do anything if the door was open. And then I saw the mold on the tiles in the shower and on the paint above the door. Probably because there was no ventilation in there with the shower. Nothing in the room felt clean or looked clean. The floor was dirty and not vacuumed, I wore socks the entire time and wiped the whole room down and I wish I had a picture of the wipe I used, it was filthy. We considered leaving but knew we'd be out the money we had already paid and were so tired after traveling at that point, it would have been futile to try to find another place to stay. I was really surprised, especially having stayed in other Best Westerns. It's also loud. Housekeeping starts around 8am and they were knocking on doors when we were still sleeping and getting ready. And they are loud. An overall disappointment on our London trip.

"BASIC stay"
Tomi H, 09 Octobre 2019

I would say this hotel wins its spot with location and friendly service. Rooms were very average London standard for a mid/low budget hotel. Could do some refurbishing. I got room from the basement next to the kitchen and cleaners so no sleep for me after 5am :( I booked single room nyt got twin room instead so points for that! Overall satisfying stay

"Pathetic for the price."
Bloods83, 30 Septembre 2019

When you think i paid $1639 Australian Dollars for 4 nights here, this place was an absolute disgrace. Dirty, small, loud train noise all night. The room was never cleaned or beds made during the day , we had to ask for toilet paper. Do not stay here, This place is a joke. At the time it was not worth complaining but could not wait to leave.

"Too Costly for What you Get!"
kathy76Goderich, 29 Septembre 2019

The hotel was ok and not a bad location although farther from the main attractions than I thought. The staff were nice. Our room was right on a the train line so very noisy all night and hot if the window closed. Tiny room but clean and adequate.

"Good hotel good value "
kellych007, 29 Septembre 2019

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and stores and restaurants are close by. 10 min walk from train station. ( I have short legs ) and the coach station is walking distance as well. I would stay again.

"Excellent location nice hotel"
jollygilly, 26 Septembre 2019

We stayed 3 nights here in the annex building which is across the road from the main part of the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable, nice shower, good wifi, tea and coffee in the room, air conditioning. The annex doesn't have a lift.... the main hotel does have one, take this into account when booking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, hot and cold buffet , good selection. Hotel is located 5 minute walk from Victoria station. . I would really recommend a stay here.

"Not fancy, basic good value."
2_Romantics, 25 Septembre 2019

Small rooms could do with better sound insulation but clean and value for money. Not a suitable venue for a long stay or a special occasion, may well use in the future as the hotel is close to bus route and an easy-reasonable walk from Victoria Station. Buffet breakfast was good with a wide choice of hot food, sausages much better than your average bland hotel offerings.

"Fantastic"
Tessy14, 07 Septembre 2019

The staff were friendly and polite, the room was clean. Very easy to check in and out. Location was great too with easy walk from Victoria Station, lots of cafes and restaurants near by. They gave us the family room for four so we had Plenty of room. The kitchen was next to our room there was a bit of noise from 8:00am but it didn't bother us as we were already up. During the night it was very quite it. We would recommend and stay here again.

"I do not recommend this hotel"
SophieSt, 04 Septembre 2019

I was very disappointed, by this hotel.Bedroom was very noisy, and bathroom was smelling. I hear train noise, and could not sleep. the other Best western hotel victoria was much better.and very quiet. Would definitely avoid this hotel

"Close to trains and buses"
ethomliz, 03 Septembre 2019

Place was clean. They have the rooms across the street and down the road. Just a small walk. Desk staff are very nice and helpful. Maid service was very good as well. Room was 2 twins. Room was small but for me and my son it was fine. Plenty of places to walk to eat and explore. Near many attractions. Would recommend.

"Great hotel in a great location"
Dani-Jade K, 31 Août 2019

Stayed here last night in a twin room in the annex. We checked in in the main hotel and then someone took us over the road to the annex. The room was a perfect size and the beds were so comfortable! Lovely shower, very powerful with really nice shower gels/shampoo selection. Tea, coffee, biscuits etc were provided aswell. Lovely to have air con as it was really hot last night. Decor was lovely, and the hotel is just a few minutes walk from Victoria underground. I can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't have it but I would 100% stay at this hotel again :)

"Friendly & Attentive to Visitors"
KristyR1276, 29 Août 2019

This hotel has a great breakfast selection (even for my tree nut allergic son). The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms and breakfast room are clean, but the breakfast room is small--each day, I noticed a family that had to wait for a table. If you're driving, expect a 5 minute walk from the parking lot to the hotel. Good value.

"Cramped but nice location"
Larry P, 26 Août 2019

My husband, granddaughter and I were in a “family “ room. I think it was a double room with a twin bed squeezed in. There was barely a foot between the two beds and just enough room to squeeze in on either side. Also, there was no place in the bathroom to plug in a hair dryer which made getting ready to go out a challenge. The location was just a few blocks away from Victoria Station and there were many coffee shops and restaurants in the area. The hotel staff was friendly and helpfu.

"large room in basement apartment"
dmonk58, 24 Août 2019

We requested just a double bed or better, but were given a room which was large, and had a separate living room from bedroom. but because it was in a basement, it smelled of mildew/mold. the outside street noise was very apparent in living area, but in bedroom, it was quieter. Noisy people broke a bottle in concrete stairwell; staff cleaned it up next day. Due to the proximity of the trains, we could hear them all night. The location was in easy walking distance to Victoria Station and nearby restaurants. The bathroom was fine, shower was great, lots of hot water. The bedroom was also provided a large closest which was nice. Upon leaving, I told management about the mildew smell.

"Super small room"
RomanAlbert, 22 Août 2019

London Super small room with thin walls, squicky floor and ceiling in annex building. No elevator. No attempt to carry bags up to the room for the staff member. Tiny shower cabin. Very noisy air conditioner in the room. No fridge, no ice in the hallway. NO HALLWAY.

"SO CUTE"
leyals, 17 Août 2019

First I read the comments I couldn't be sure about rooms. Yes rooms are small but like us only if you are turning your room for sleeping fare enough. We stayed main part of the hotel. There is escalator . Clean, compact, user friendly . Reception helpful and fast. 7 minutes walk Victoria Train Station . You can take almost all lines from hear. Direct train Gatwick and also going easy from hear to Stansted . Finally especially we liked our room and hotel . I advise this cute hotel

"4 star 3 star !"
pb56422, 12 Août 2019

This was the most reasonable priced hotel near to Victoria we could find and we were pleased we did. It advertises as a 3 star which is realistic and as such we thought it was good. Free wifi and a safe in the room the only discomfort we had was a standard double bed which was a little cosy but that was probably our choice when booking. We had one small issue with the AC which was dripping water onto the carpet but his was immediately fixed by maintenance team. Breakfast was advertised as continental served down in the basement but it should have said buffet as there was also a full selection of full english items

"Good for Low Budget Hotel Short Stay"
412JW, 09 Août 2019

It is a 3-star rating hotel so we didn't expect a lot. As many reviewers mentioned, there are two building. We booked a room in Annex (no elevator) for a lower cost. The front desk was very nice to change our room in the main building when we asked at checking. Two thumbs-up!! The rooms are tiny but clean. You could hardly move around in the bathroom. You will need to sort of angle your legs while sitting on the toilet because of the sink cabinets. The bus and train stations are closed by (about 10 min walking distance). We stayed for couple nights and didn't have breakfast at the hotel. There are restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores between the hotel and bus/train stations. The train station also have a food court with KFC and Subways if you want American fast food.

"Great Staff and breakfast - tiny room"
GrandpaGene, 08 Août 2019

This hotel was booked by my travel agent. Never having stayed in a London hotel before I was a bit shocked at my room - which was about 6x6 and then the bathroom, maybe 6x4. No dresser, a desk smaller than a student desk, no luggage rack. Nice bed, great featherbed, fine staff, wonderful English breakfast, but I'm glad I didn't have claustrophobia. Looking at the floor plan, and seeing inside the room across the hall being made up, some rooms were bigger than mine and others smaller. This unit did have an elevator. Again, the staff and the breakfast made up for the size of my room -sort of. But 600 pounds did seem a bit excessive for four nights.

"Short break"
tonianoon, 08 Août 2019

Stayed at the hotel this week for 1 night. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and very adequate for our needs. Good breakfast. We were also able to leave our luggage on day of departure to collect later.

"Best Stay at The Best Western"
freshcrew4, 05 Août 2019

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Victoria Palace. The manager Mr. Rahim Jivraj and his staff were always friendly, professional, and responsive to any and all of our needs during our stay in London.

"Decent digs in the Pimlico district"
Curtis S, 05 Août 2019

We were looking for convenient digs for the couple days in London prior to departing on a cruise. After searching and reading reviews we ended up here. It is not a US-style Best Western. Like many hotels in this area, it is a re-purposed building, not originally a hotel. The layout is a little disjointed but you figure it out eventually. The room was fine until the air-conditioner decided to drip water all night, soaking a suitcase and the floor. It was exceptionally hot in London while we were there and I imagine the A/C was working double overtime. The front desk said they could provide tickets to local attractions at equivalent pricing, but the tickets would be “fast pass.” This turned out to not be the case, as we ended up in the normal (read really long) queues. The location was convenient to the sites we wanted to see. The hotel was reasonable enough. The included breakfast was pretty good, with plenty of variety to keep you full. Recommended.

"Great hotel and staff"
dstone599006, 29 Juillet 2019

We normally don't stay at Best Westerns and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. They weld our luggage until our rooms were ready and our luggage was waiting for us. Good location and close to metro and train station. Rooms were very clean and air conditioning that kept us cool when it was extremely hot outside. Would definitely recommend any of our Friends to stay here.

"The staff is accommodating "
felixa455, 26 Juillet 2019

There was a miscom between my travel agency and the local agency, they booked the wrong hotel room requirement. However it was immediately settled by the front officer. The guys are very helpful however the lady is not that helpful. What I like about the place is the clean resteoom and comfortable bed. For a budget hotel, I like it. Their breakfast start at 7am and they cannot do earlier than that like pack breakfast if you need to go early. Thats the downside of it. Also thw wake up call cannot be changed. If you requested 6am and tdecided to make it 7am they said they cannot accommodate that.

"Average "
natisn, 22 Juillet 2019

The hotel is well situated in Victoria, walking distance up to the underground. The room has tea and coffee and the staff is very helpful. However the room is too small to accommodate two people with suitcases, specially if each person has got 2 suitcases and hand luggages. The bathroom is also very small. The ceiling is not thick and you hear wakings on the upper floor. The room is not noise free, you can hear people walking and talking in the corridor. The cleaning was not very good as well.

"Great location."
Terry W, 20 Juillet 2019

Spent 4 nights here. Great location. 5 miinute walk to Victoria Station, 15 minutes to Buckingham Palace and 19 minutes to Parliment buildings. Breakfast was great and affordable. The staff were very accomodating. Room was quiet and perfect for me.

"Rooms for Hobbits and smells of damp"
switcher33, 18 Juillet 2019

Single rooms are a disgrace. I was given a basement room, I could barely use the toilet as its crammed into a tiny space. Same for shower. The room stunk of damp. I could also hear rats squealing through the walls. Asked to move room ad explained the reasons including the fact I could hear rats, nothing more was said about this and duly gave me another room across the road. Again, absolutely tiny and could barely use the toilet as it as so crammed. Disgraceful considering they asked for £185 for this room per night without breakfast. I would not stay here again and really should have read previous reviews before booking it, lesson learned.

"Great location but tiny rooms"
gsimps101371, 12 Juillet 2019

Lots within walking distance but the rooms are very small and feel cramped. You could easily give yourself a concussion on the TV that is stuck on the wall by the bathroom as it literally sticks out past the door frame.

"BW Pimlico"
sinclairk2019, 12 Juillet 2019

Great location in the heart of Victoria London. Walk to the station was only a few minutes. Catch the #24 bus just around the corner. Close to many shops and pubs. Room was nice, and air conditioning is good.

"Excellent"
Ainsley_rx, 11 Juillet 2019

Could not complain about anything when it came to the stay in Best Western Victoria. Staying in London for a special event with my elderly grandparents and we chose the hotel due to excellent location for where event was due to take place. No questions were ever to much for the staff and they always go out the way to help you. Although due to being in excellent location some places were just a little to far for my grandparents to walk however staff at front desk hailed taxi for us within minutes. Stayed bed and breakfast and again could not fault the food, buffet style breakfast which was consistently hot and replenished as needed. No issues when asked for something else to be cooked either such as fried egg instead of scrambled. Would stay here again.

"Could not have been better"
countconti, 04 Juillet 2019

Walking distance from Victoria station and Buckingham Palace plus many other attractions. Clean, quiet rooms. They offer a lift, AC and Wifi. Staff very helpful. Can't speak about parking since we came by cab. Restaurants and pubs all around. Prices a bit high but not by London standards. London is very pricey and traffic is worse I have ever seen. People and cabbies are very friendly. Would stay again

"Tiny room that needed renovation"
elsbells63, 26 Juin 2019

This hotel was ok but needed some renovation. Rooms were very tight and very basic and could have been a bit cleaner. On the upside, good location with some favorable restaurants nearby. Walk to shopping, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey etc.

"Good Overnight Stay"
Teresa H, 26 Juin 2019

This hotel is close to Victoria Station approx 5 mins walk away. The hotel is lovely and quaint and more than adequate. The staff on the front desk were very helpful/friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Our room slept three people but the double bed in there could have used a new mattress as you seemed to be falling out of bed all the time. Our daughter said her bed however was really comfy and she had a great night's sleep. The room had tea and coffee making facilities and a good size bathroom and was very clean. Breakfast was included in our stay and was delicious and set you up for a day sightseeing. If travelling to London again, would definitely stay there again.

"Would not recommend"
GregandJanet, 19 Juin 2019

We booked this hotel via a 3rd party, and when we checked in the "manager" let us know in so many words, that we would not be treated well (meaning we would get a sub par room). He put us in a room that when we walked in we knew it would be too noisy to sleep. He reluctantly moved us to a back room (that was quiet) but up many flights of stairs.... We were paying customers, and he made us pay for booking with a 3rd party. Don't stay here unless you want a sub par hotel.

"Comfortable and Close to Station"
JohnBuckAythorpe, 16 Juin 2019

Good place to stay for the night if you want to be close to Victoria station. We were in the annex just around the corner from the main hotel. Reasonable size room on the ground floor. Tea and coffee supplied. Comfortable bed. Clean room and bathroom. Only problem was the noisy front door which slammed shut every time someone was in and out. Owners please fix this!

"Handy location"
tudomany, 09 Juin 2019

We had a recently renovated, very clean, quiet, comfortable room with cooking possibilities. The hotel is close to Victoria Station and the train to Gatwick airport. The staff was helpful, especially two gentlemen at the front desk. Breakfast was good. We would stay there again.

"Comfortable stay very close to victoria station"
Shivajasundar, 09 Juin 2019

Very nice hotel. Excellent service. The staff need a special mention. Only the room size was small. Also vegetarian options were very less in the breakfast. Location was very convenient. Very pleasing and helpful front desk staff. Ever ready to help. Had a pleasant stay. Thanks

"Nice and quiet, good central location on quiet street."
jens h, 06 Juin 2019

Hotel in a crazy old house with many small corridors, steps and stairs. Cozy in a way, but some of the rooms are relly really small and not convenient. Rooms facing the street have larger windows and more light. The street is quiet with limited traffic during evening and night. Breakfast is traditional english / continental. Egg, toast, cereals and in many different flavours. Limited selection of fresh fruit (apple, banana) Note, that the hotel is yielding prices - so if demand is up, the rates go up. Book in good time, 3-4 months in advance will most likely give you the best rates. Good location, close to Victoria, and with several bus routes just around the corner. Also close to a range of small local restaurants in nearby Wilton Road. And an excellent London Pub at the opposite corner: The Marquis of Westminster.

"First visit to London"
wallanjames, 05 Juin 2019

Nice hotel but small room. About what I expected. Room was clean. Hallway was narrow. We were in the annex building on the next street from the hotel office. Could hear people moving about in the room above.

"Convenient location"
loikeshi, 04 Juin 2019

I stayed here on a work trip. It is located near victoria train station (about 12 mins walk). The room was very clean, a bit bigger than most london hotel rooms. They let me check in earlier which was great because I had arrived at 11.30am after an early morning flight. I did not have the breakfast. I chose to have breakfast in one of the many cafe's located all round. There are lovely restaurants around the hotel, a Boots Chemist, Waitrose and Tesco supermarket. The hotel is very conveniently located near train station, bus routes, local amenities and touristy sights. I would stay here again.

"Great Location!"
Mary E, 02 Juin 2019

We chose the Best Western Victoria Palace for the location and we weren't mistaken. It is 5 to 10 minutes from Victoria Station for buses, trains and the tube. If you booked tours they often leave from across the street. The room was comfortable and clean, nothing special but clean. The service was good and the personnel cordial.

"Welcome to London Center"
Lylia T, 02 Juin 2019

Fairly clean room, but quite small, they had a coffee kettle and a choice of teas and instant coffee. We had twin beds and our own bathroom. For the budget traveler in London, this place is located near the Victoria train station and tube, about a 5 min walk. The staff is very friendly and breakfast is fine. we chose to go out for breakfast as the area offers a number of eating establishments within a short walk. This is London, if you are traveling on a budget and want a convenient location, this place is more than good. Sleep was comfortable and we appreciated the air conditioner was great as our time in London was very muggy. Thank you to the Staff. We are from Vancouver Canada and we were glad to have a central place to stay in London. You can find bigger rooms, but will pay a premium for them.

"Poor quality"
Navigate59081380060, 25 Mai 2019

For a short stay it was terrible and the room had to be cleaned again! Food crumbs and weird stains on the beds. Absolutely horrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unless your standards are very low.

"Big Disappointment"
CarolynJean, 20 Mai 2019

We arrived at the hotel knowing that we would be in the annex. What we didn't know was that the "annex" was about a block away and across the street. More importantly, we were never told that we would have to climb 44 very steep, narrow and winding stairs to reach our room. We are in our 70's and I good health, but it was still precarious. Our room was very tiny, even for European standards. We bumped our heads on the TV hanging from the wall only a few inches from the bathroom door. The management was not at all helpful. Based on our experience, I would never recommend this hotel.

"Quiet night in"
Tour35295626690, 06 Mai 2019

I appreciated the efficient reception and the list. Myy room was quiet and long but narrow with good temperatire control, TV and En-suite were good. Breakfast was a pricy extra option on top of a higher rate than I usually pay.

"Stopover in London"
Peter S, 01 Mai 2019

My wife and I decided to stay over in London for one night on the way home from France and picked the hotel for it's location to transport etc. Overall the room was clean and bathroom had decent shower etc, plus tv, a tiny coffee making shelf, and dresser. However it was the size of room which really surprised us. It was tiny! Neither my wife nor me are big people but I found it better to go for a walk so that my wife had enough space to get ready. There was nowhere to put a second bag other than the bathroom and any stay beyond one night would start to get uncomfortable. Storage space equally small, there was a lot of street noise and fellow guests could be heard quite clearly. Location is brilliant of course, and as a place to rest for one night its fine.

"Last minute- good stay!"
BrainyBrendan, 01 Mai 2019

For various reasons five of us family were busily looking around for somewhere to stay early on a Saturday evening. It was proving expensive and the rooms on offer were basically cupboards! Where else in the world does a cupboard cost £120!! Literally a cupboard! I'm not exaggerating! Then we came to the Victoria Palace and got a last minute cancellation. Family room. Five of us fitted in and the bathroom was clean and large and room perfectly comfortable. Cost around £270. Staff were great and breakfast a real positive surprise. Special thanks to the man on Reception around 6pm on 27 April. You do great service to the hotel! Will stay again.

"Perfect location, helpful staff"
April H, 30 Avril 2019

This hotel is within a 3 block walking distance to excellent restaurants, pubs, and the Victoria Station. The staff was incredibly helpful & knowledgeable. The full English breakfast was a great way to start the day. Rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job as well.

"Don't always believe the negative reviews"
sleepsearcher, 27 Avril 2019

I had a slight feeling of trepidation when I checked in & was told that my room was in the annexe. I had read a few negative reviews about the annexe in particular & 1 reviewer mentioned that it was down a random side street. It turned out to be on the road that leads back to Victoria train & coach stations & I had passed it to get to reception at the main hotel. It was a short distance away & not difficult to find (although a staff member took me there after I checked in). I arrived early, but my room was ready & I had been given a twin bedded room instead of a single, which I appreciated. My room was clean & comfortable, the shower had good water pressure & plenty of hot water. There was a cabinet under the basin, which would have been useful if I had stayed longer than just 1 night. The only complaint I have is that I found the pillows too hard. Everything else was great. I told the reception staff this. They were very efficient & helpful.

"Clean and reasonably priced accommodation"
AndryshaRose, 27 Avril 2019

Stayed for 7 nights. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Ample hot water and close to the Victoria underground station and coach station. You can hear noise from the street but a white noise app or earplugs do the trick. Definitely not a frills hotel, but for the cost, it is clean, safe and conveniently located.

"Nice overnight stay"
Mike D, 25 Avril 2019

Stayed in room 32 in Annex. room was very clan and bathroom had plenty of hot water. coffee and tea provided. Excellent service. small problem with window which we reported. Overall will stay again as very good location

"Great location. Comfortable room."
charliechunk, 23 Avril 2019

The hotel was nice and in a great location - only 10 mins walk to Victoria station. We had a family room (101) which was an OK size, not huge but the rooms in London never are (unless you pay through the nose) and it had a balcony with a street view. There is a pub opposite and a late-night Tesco, and a few other shops. There is also a Dominoes if you fancy a takeaway pizza. On the first night, I didn't sleep that great due to the noise from outside, but the second and third night we put the A/C on which drowned the noise out completely. Breakfast was good. There was a selection of hot food including sausages, bacon, eggs, beans etc, as well as pastries, bread, cereal, ham, cheese and fruit. The room you eat in is fairly small so it can get busy, but we never struggled to get a table. Check-in was smooth and they let us have our room before the usual time. All the staff were very friendly. I'd definitely stay here again.

"Best Western Victoria Palace"
Cruiser15544080215, 16 Avril 2019

The Best Western Victoria Palace was a great place to stay clean reasonable price comfortable breakfast is lovely good choice i was very happy with my stay staff very friendly and helpful great location close to Victoria Station

"Not as advertised in pictures"
Adventure66868383891, 16 Avril 2019

The room and hotel was not as advertised. Rooms were tiny and not cleaned.. bathroom was dirty and the carpet was not vacuumed at all! Just not what I expected for the cost and in comparison to the previous best western in Liverpool!

"Good for the price"
Elle-Elaine F, 14 Avril 2019

A 10 minute walk from Victoria station. It's on a street of similar hotels but there is a all night Tesco and a pub within a few meters. My room was in the annexe across the street. the building was unmanned but had a security lock on the main door. I was on the floor which I guess was lower ground with a window that looked out on to a patio. I didn't see anyone on the patio but it would be sensible to put a more secure lock on the window. Overall the room was clean and warm. I was in a double, it would have been tight in the room if there were two people but fine for one night.

"Delightful property and staff wonderful!"
Deborah M, 04 Avril 2019

We ended up staying here halfway into our vacation as the Air B&B we booked was a total nightmare, no water, toilet didn't flush, the bed was confirmed as a king and when we arrived it wasn't even a queen. I saw many people coming in/out of this Best Western, so we gave it a try and they immediately found us accommodations. The property is central to everything especially Victoria Station (10-minute walk). Located in a nice safe neighborhood, 24 hr. store across the street. We opted for the breakfast and it was fabulous, four kinds of eggs, ham, sausage, beans, yogurts, cereals, pastries, bagels, juices and fruits. The staff always greeted us with a smile and were very helpful to our many questions. Rooms were average size for Europe, all updated very clean and great wi-fi. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.

"Good night stay"
tjbhart, 03 Avril 2019

My friend booked us seperate rooms here for one night. When we arrived, we were told we would be in the main building instead of the annex. I was upgraded to a larger room with a double and single bed. Plenty of room for one but smaller than a regular room in the states. Good sized bath and the room had a desk. The room was clean, plenty of towels and the air conditioning worked well. The TV came on but there was nothing but static for sound. WiFi worked good for me. I was in the front of the hotel in the basement so there was a little noise in the morning from outside and the kitchen.

"Superb location"
manojt2008, 26 Mars 2019

The thing that I liked the most about this hotel is its location. Victoria station ( Tube and National Rail Service) Victoria coach station are less than a km distance. West Minister Abbey, Buckhingham Palace and practically the entire City of West Minister is in walking distance. The hotel is a nice small hotel with all the required facilities. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast, had several hot servings, which is always welcomed in London's cold weather. Over all a pleasant experience.

"Way above expectations"
Ian G, 20 Mars 2019

I was a little apprehensive as previous experience of small London hotels wasn't great. Was I impressed? Absolutely. I was in a small but newly refurbed room, spotlessly clean and comfortable with good quality bedding. Excellent newly retiled bathroom (well shower, not bath) and the shower was excellent. Breakfast didn't disappoint in the slightest. Staff were all great too. Downsides.....there wasn't a desk in my room which would have been good and staircase is narrow-ish. Road was quiet outside and some good restaurants close by. No hesitation in going back there.

"Misleading booking and no lifts"
NicoleMTravels, 20 Mars 2019

We booked two rooms in the annex of the hotel which is across the street and down a small road. To our shock there wasn't a lift so we had to carry our bags up a very narrow staircase. The hotel rooms smelled of smoke and when we informed the hotel they said the rooms are non smoking... well someone broke the rules. The beds are uncomfortable, and seem very old. My suggestion is to spend a little more and stay in a different room not in the annex, or a different hotel all together.

"very clean hotel"
charlieYorkshire, 18 Mars 2019

this is a very clean hotel around 20 minutes walk from victoria coach station, we were told we were going to be put in the annexe the overflow hotel, but when we arrived we were put into the main hotel near the basement, to be fair the room was so small so my friend complained, they then moved us to the 4th floor on that occasion the lift did not work and felt so tired and exasperated, the hotel staff lugged our cases up to the 4th floor, the room was only a bit bigger (so expect small rooms at this hotel) but the room was immaculately clean and tidy, nothing was too much trouble for this hotel staff, towels were changed every day and cleaned a very modern hotel too, you can have breakfast for around 12 pounds but never tried it. the walk to Westminster and the palace took around 20 minutes walk, we bought a tube ticket for 13 pounds and used all day including buses.

"Good stay, Very small room."
Traveler05320555301, 17 Mars 2019

Staff was great but the room was smaller than expected, unable to plug in my razor or electric toothbrush anywhere in the bathroom. plastic glasses were not replaced, breakfast was good. would stay again IF the room was bigger.

"Great location- too much noise"
760joshuab, 15 Mars 2019

Stayed due to a training in London- fantastic location just 5 minutes walk from Victoria station and so accessible to the city. No restaurant (only serve breakfast) but plenty of local options. Room was small but very clean and well appointed. Staff were efficient although not the friendliest I have come across, you can often pass by reception Un-acknowledged. Corridors in the morning were filled with linen and large trolleys making it challenging to navigate. The worst issue was the noises from the road outside which were loud enough to wake me on the second night- whilst this is not the hotels fault light sleepers may prefer a room away from the road

"Very good"
Amy C, 24 Février 2019

Super well located nearby Victoria station. Nothing special but comfortable and clean. Staff is kind and helpful. I'd stay in this hotel again and recommend for business travellers, specially those who have meetings around Victoria, Mayfair or Bloomsbury.

"Stayed here for 1 night stopover in the city "
KMF28, 18 Février 2019

Myself and my partner stayed here as a stopover night as we were visiting family and friends all over England. The staff were fantastic and kept a hold of our bags until our room was ready. Leaving us to explore London bag free. They even put them in the room when it was ready. The room was great, clean and although it wasn't the biggest room it was perfect for us. Would visit again

"Great location, tidy, neat and compact. Recommend!"
waari, 12 Février 2019

Stayed four nights Sat-Tue. My fourth floor room was very compact single room, but ok for spending the nights and a bit of office work. Everything very clean and maybe recently renovated. Excellent breakfast with bread, fruits and classic warm dishes (bacon, eggs, hash browns, beans,..) Great location -- a few hundred meters from Victoria station, with numerous restaurants and pubs nearby! Colleague mentioned that the 2nd floor room was a bit noisy at night (traffic)

"Good Value Central Hotel"
johncorry, 24 Janvier 2019

Overall a good value hotel for London 10 minutes from Victoria Station on Foot and ideal for getting to see Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre. We were a family of 5 and took two rooms in the Annexe, a triple and a double. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and bathrooms looked new and modern. The Annexe building itself is a rambling buillding but would only be an issue if you had haevy suitcases. The Check in/ Reception Staff were really friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast was STG12.50 pp so we opted to eat outside and there were tons of eating options and restaurants in the vicinity. Stayed in January and the rooms were toasty warm and heard little or no traffic noise in the rooms.

"Cockroaches in the Annex!"
427kerryf, 08 Janvier 2019

I will start with the positives...this hotel is a really good location for theatre trips, the shower was really powerful and the bed was comfortable, and i had a good nights sleep Now the negatives...I stayed here on Saturday night with my 12yr old daughter, we were given room 25 in the Annex (which isn't an annex it is another property across the street and around the corner that has no reception). The staff at check in were very pleasant and walked us over to show us our room. The room was very small and they had squeezed a tiny bathroom into it. On first site it looked clean and although small seemed ok for a bed for the night. Once we settled in and had a good look at everything we could see that the housekeeping was probably not doing a completely thorough job. around the toilet lid was grimy as were some of the tiles in the shower and i'm not convinced the desk had been wiped down but it wasn't anything we couldn't live with for one night. After getting the wetwipes out for the desk we decided it was all fine and got ready for our evening at the theatre. We returned at about 10.45pm completely shattered (London is very draining with all the crowds!) only to discover cockroaches in the bathroom..Ew! Given the time, the fact that reception was across the street and it was only me and my 12 yr old daughter i decided it was not practical to cross the street late at night with her or to pack our stuff up to try and get a different room that may be just as bad so we shut the bathroom door and decided to complain in the morning. We both had a good night sleep, the bed was comfortable but not having breakfast included in the price and being told checkout was at 11 we didn't rush to get out of bed in the morning...that was until at 8.30am the housekeeper knocked on our door until we opened it to ask if she could clean the room for changeover day!!! You can't make it up! i told her we don't check out until 11 and she would have to wait until we have gone, in all the times i have stayed in hotels this has NEVER happened before. When we finally went over to reception to checokut i told the man (assistant manager) there about the cockroaches and although he looked suprised he offered no apology or discount. he was pretty speachless and clearly didn't know what to say. I ended up just shaking my head with a suggestion he calls pest control before putting anyone else in the room and left. I will not book here again and i would suggest anyone else booking make sure you're in the main hotel not the weird little building across the street that is clearly not being inspected by management. The Annex rooms are not worth the £100pn with no breakfast.

"Shocking customer experience."
BinkyGordy, 03 Janvier 2019

I stayed here on business and was told I would be in the annexe. An annexe by definition is an extension to the main building. I followed a guy 100 yards up the main street crossed the road and went down a side street. I then was told my room was on the top floor up six flights of stairs. I needed an iron to press my shirts and I was promised one that evening as I had an early meeting. No iron was brought to my room. I emailed them the following morning from a break in my meeting complaining that I did not receive an iron and could they please supply me with one as I was staying another night. Arriving back in my room I again had no iron and no reply to my email. I was was booked in for the following week but have now cancelled. I have stayed in a Best Western in San Diego where I had similar problem. It's a worldwide issue apparently. Shocking service. No stars and never again.

"Pleasantly surprised"
woody185, 22 Décembre 2018

Having read reviews I was apprehensive about booking especially the only room available was in the attic. Although no lifts, there were not many stairs and the attic building itself was spotless including our room , also surprised at the size of room. Will stay again.

"Very Good Mid Range Hotel"
jeanniedDover_Kent, 21 Décembre 2018

I stayed here for one night and on booking over the telephone was given very clear instructions about finding the hotel on arrival at Victoria Railway Station. When I arrived at the hotel I was delighted to find that I had been upgraded from the annexe to the main building - thanks for that. The room was clean and it had everything I needed for my short stay - en suite facilities, TV, hairdryer, a generous hospitality tray and a room safe. The room itself was at the rear of the building and overlooked a cobbled street. It was very quiet and after my evening out in London I had a restful night. I cannot comment on the food as I didn't have breakfast. The hotel doesn't serve evening meals but that is not a problem in this area as there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. Staff are very friendly and helpful: the hotel is very good value - the room rates are very reasonable and I would most definitely stay here again.

"Very good"
Rupert T, 16 Décembre 2018

I knew that a Best Western would not let me down. This one was really good, particularly given the very good rate. It is one of the many hotels in London which are conversions of former private houses, but it has modernised rooms and bathrooms. The reception staff were welcoming, amd the room was a reasonable size. Breakfast was above average for this type of hotel. It is a very pleasant part of London, with some good restaurants nearby. If you want to travel north on the Victoria underground line at peak times, it is worth walking south to Pimlico station which is less crowded than Victoria.

"Good but then downhill "
TheWonderer12, 13 Décembre 2018

Great location (4 mins from Victoria station), check in was efficient, friendly staff. Our accommodation was in another building which we didn't mind at all. Room was big and the shower was great. There was however, some dust and a couple of hairs in the bed. The worst thing and the reason for the poor rating was because in the early morning, two cleaners were having a full blown conversation outside our room where we put a “do not disturb sign on” and woke us up. Lack of sleep is something that shouldn't happen in a hotel. This is what let the whole hotel down.

"Weekend Theatre Break. "
Phillip O, 11 Décembre 2018

Three star rating is fitting for this reasonabley priced hotel approximately 300 yards from Victoria Station and Underground. Rooms were small but clean and well presented, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and breakfast was an additional £12:50 each but well worth it prior to commencing what can be a very long and exhausting day visiting the numourous points of interest that London has to offer, particularly at this time of year with Christmas approaching. Upon reflection, it was nice to return to the relevant quiet of the hotel to regain our energy before attending the theatre show, which was fantastic. I would recommend the hotel but ensure that your booking is for the main hotel and not the Annexe which is situated opposite the main hotel, approximately 80 yards away and having to cross two roads to it's entrance, not ideal for the restaurant!!

"Good location near Station, bus routes and theatre"
Carno, 06 Décembre 2018

We stayed for two nights, and chose this location because it was close to the Victoria Palace theatre. It was far enough from the theatre and the station to be in a quieter area, but with plenty of independent cafes and small shops as well as a lot of other small hotels. We were travelling in and out of London from Waterloo, and found a bus that went from Victoria Station to Waterloo Station and back. We had to check in at the main hotel, and then a member of staff had to help us walk back with our luggage across a busy junction with traffic lights to the annexe. Our key cards got us into the front door and the room, which was in the ground floor at the rear. This worked well when we were coming back late from the theatre, but failed on the last morning when we came back from breakfast to find we couldn't access the building. After traipsing back to the main hotel and getting our cards reprogrammed, we crossed back and tried again, only to find we were still locked out. I used my mobile to call the hotel and demanded they send someone over. As soon as the call ended, people came out of the front door and allowed us in, and our cards worked on the room door. The man came and found his card didn't work on the front door either, this was the only drawback to staying in the annexe, where the room and facilities were excellent, There was tea and coffee making, with biscuits, a hairdryer, plenty of mirrors, plug sockets for charging devices, storage in bedside tables and an open wardrobe, a safe and a spacious bathroom with a good shower cubicle and a mirror surrounded with lights, Being near the front door was a bit noisy, as people coming and going tended to slam the door at night, but it was generally very comfortable, we could have done with being able to make the temperature lower. I noticed the cleaners had opened the window slightly after they'd made up the room, so they must have got very hot too. This was in late November, but the thermostat wouldn't go below 19. I would stay here again, as it was good value and comfortable,

"Worst hotel I've ever stayed in"
marktilly1987, 06 Décembre 2018

I'm disappointed I can't actually rate this place a zero and we've only been here half an hour!! We have paid £500 for three nights in the annexe. It's absolutely nothing like the images and the rooms are tiny. I'm not usually one for complaining but this is horrific! Looking at other reviews that are positive I'm extremely bemused. I based my decision to stay here on other guest experiences so I can only assume that the bulk of reviews are for the main hotel? It must be better quality as this “annexe” is a completely building altogether that's not even linked, it's across the street and just around the corner. We were put in room 3 on the bottom floor and were disappointed at the room size (bed pushed up against the wall in the corner because it's the only way it'll fit) but hey... it's just somewhere to put our heads down for the night (we thought!). Every two to three minutes there was an extremely loud rumbling noise for ten seconds or so (good luck trying to sleep through it). We called reception and they didn't bat an eyelid or question it whatsoever so I suspect they get so many complaints about it that it's a regular occurrence to just move those that complain and laugh at those that put up with it. They instantly arranged for us to be moved into another room which we were happy about. We were to be moved from the bottom floor to the top floor. As we were passing the entrance hallway my girlfriend asked out of curiosity what the noise was. The guy showing us to the room pleaded ignorance and said “what noise?” with a puzzled look on his face and clearly wanting to just get in and out without confrontation - lovely! Anyway... we thought the nightmare was over because if we're at the top of the building a couple of floors up then all will be good right? But now, instead of the rumble being overhead, it's now under foot. Just as irritating and to add to it, the fan in the bathroom won't turn off, the switches don't even work and shutting the door doesn't block the noise out. I wouldn't recommend it in a million years, it's the worst £500 ever spent, you'd probably sleep better in a bus stop.

"Just ok"
186anitar, 03 Décembre 2018

The room was very hot. No lifts and very small steps. Was hard to get up and down our suitcases. 10 minutes walk from Victoria station. It was dirty outside. My card to the room did not work. Helpful staff. Did not do the breakfast. The room was clean. Will not be staying here again because the long walk from the station.

"Quick trip to London"
Resort18877541948, 25 Novembre 2018

We decided to visit London to go to the Warner Brothers Studios for Harry Potter. We selected this hotel because it was near the train and bus stations. Also, it is about a 15 minute walk to Buckingham Palace. Just ask the front desk how to get there, don't use Google Maps.

"Good hotel but small rooms"
marktiger69, 14 Novembre 2018

The hotel was very clean and very good location just a short walk from Victoria station about 10 mins The staff were more than helpful and friendly the only downside was the size of the room if you were window side you had to contend with a stool in the corner a tv on the wall to limbo under a kettle shelf which could be dangerous as easily caught has you tried to get by and the unit for your clothes and even harder at night to negotiate The floor to the bathroom also sloped upwards which felt odd but the bathroom was big and clean but the shower was not powerful at all but overall still good for the money

"3 out of 5 in hope they will improve"
arghirita, 10 Novembre 2018

Pluses: good access to centre of London, good breakfast, room was clean, bed was good. Minuses: Now, I am accustomed with the closet-size rooms of most hotels in London, as well as with the crazy prices they come at (165 GBP/night, no breakfast included). It is what it is. However, for that price, there must be some minimal standards of cleanliness, as well as of health and safety measures. In the Annex building across from the main hotel, there are 4 rooms which are in the basement. Rooms 1 to 4. I didn't much care for it, as I was out all day and did not spend too much time in the room. Had it been otherwise, it would have been very disappointing to open the window and see the brick wall of an inner shaft. The dirt and garbage accumulated there is a health risk. I don't think it be too much to ask for it to be kept clean. It is quite disgusting, right outside the window (see photos). Also, I fear that using those rooms for accommodation would be totally against any fire safety measures. If a fire happens on the first floor, the people below have no alternative exit. The door accessing the shaft is locked and even if it weren't, there are no fire escape stairs. Additionally, there you can hear the subway passing underneath (or a tramway, could not really figure it out), until late in the night. If you care about noise, it can be nerve wrecking. Bathroom ventilation did not do the job.

"Yes, 'only' a 3 star place, but it does better than that"
627pw2015, 10 Novembre 2018

Arrived late, but excellent service. Room was good (including kettle, good shower (although instructions would have been helpful), decent mattress and pillows), affording a very decent night's sleep. Clean, more than just functional.

"Upgraded for our anniversary. Very nice"
130KevinS, 05 Novembre 2018

Booked in well in advance. Conveniently only about a 7 to 10 minutes walk from London Victoria Stations. Staff were really friendly at check in. We had also been upgraded by management from the Annex over the road to the main building which was very thoughtful. We were in London early to do some sight seeing and we were able to drop off our bag and this was in our room when we got back. All good service and with a smile. We usually stay in Premier Inns but chose this as around the corner from the coach station so a good choice. Room is smaller than usual but it is only a room to us when on a city break so not problem. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean and new. TV and hairdryer also in room. View out of the window to the right was brill of the London Eye. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but took some pictures for those interested. Would thoroughly recommend as a central base.

"Great Location in London England"
GeorgeS589, 31 Octobre 2018

My wife and I spent two nights at the Best Western Victoria Palace in London, England. We found the hotel is the perfect location with restaurants, train station and Buckingham Palace all within close walking distance. The rooms were very neat and clean and quite spacious for Europe. We had breakfast included in our stay and we could not believe all the different varieties of hot and cold food you could choose on the buffet. The staff were all very kind and helpful especially the manager Mr. Rahim Jivraj. He definitely went out of his way to assist us in planning our two day visit and went above and beyond to help us locate our transportation driver to the airport on our final day. He literally went outside and scoured the streets to locate our driver which he did. (note we did not book our driver through the hotel, it was from an outside agency but he still helped us find the driver.) Simply outstanding and courteous. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again. Thank you to all the staff at Best Western for making our visit to London so enjoyable.

"Convenient and friendly"
Jay L, 24 Octobre 2018

Our party of 4 adults reserved two rooms. Unlike several reviews that talk about the large king room, which was available for a higher price, we had a small double room and an even smaller room with two twin beds. Probably the smallest hotel rooms we have ever had. However, the hotel was clean and comfortable and close to Victoria Station. There are a number of good restaurants and pubs within a few blocks and a convenience store across the street. The staff was friendly and very helpful in arranging transportation and providing advice on tours and other activities. The hotel offers a traditional English breakfast, eggs, sausage, baked beans, tomatoes, etc. However, the same breakfast was offered at several nearby restaurants for a few pounds less. We walked to Victoria Station to get a Hop On/Hop Off bus. Also walked back from the British Museum, Big Ben and Parliament, and Buckingham Palace. Nest time I would take a cab from British Museum, but all others were easily walkable. The reasonable price offset the small rooms, so this was a pleasant stay.

"Nice place to stay in London"
daneenhfo, 08 Octobre 2018

This hotel is within easy walking distance of the train station and close to bus stops and all downtown London has to offer. As with most London hotels, the rooms were on the smaller side, but big enough for sleeping and dressing which is all we do in hotels. The breakfast was good with a large variety, albeit a bit common.

"Hotel not far from Victoria"
Stefan T, 05 Octobre 2018

Good hotel with clean rooms and helpful staff. Large rooms. Straight ahead up to Victoria and Gatwick Express. Stayed at the annex that is just over the crossing. Stayed at the first floor and it was pretty calm even though a street outside.

"Conveniently located, great service"
Brad D, 26 Septembre 2018

In London for one night, we wanted a place close to both Victoria Station and walking distance of Westminster and the Thames. This hotel was both - when we arrived they checked us in right away and summoned an employee who walked us across the street and up the 3 flights to our room - however, he carried our heaviest luggage. Room was cozy and bright, facing the what was a quiet street at night. Had a great sleep and were on our way the next morning with a very short walk to the train.

"A thoroughly decent 3 star hotel"
Jo M, 13 Septembre 2018

Would recommend this hotel for the solo traveller - having stayed at 'affordable well located' hotels in London in the past I know that it is rather a bit & miss affair! I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was - I booked a standard single expecting a room the size of a cupboard with accompanying ensuite which one could barely get into -this room was a decent size with a very comfortable queen size bed and nice ensuite - clean comfortable and very nice staff - thank you - great location too with fantastic restaurants nearby and very close to Victoria Station - will stay here again when next in London

"Double room with king size "
413Sverre, 11 Septembre 2018

Pleasantly surprised with the size of this hotel room in victoria London. Big king size bed and en suite bathroom. Duve and pillows and loads of towels. Check in was not complicated. Only drawback is that tv is small....really small

"Clean very small WiFi very slow in room 16 "
Pascal M, 05 Septembre 2018

You book and you go to another building The room is very very small far from the one advertised The window has a view on a wall at less than one meter To summarize REY very small Very clean Too expensive

"Weekend in London"
dareyn2018, 03 Septembre 2018

We decided to have a weekend in London so looked around for a hotel. Victoria Palace popped up and was reasonably priced for what we wanted plus it was only 5 minutes walk from Victoria Station. On arrival, we were greeted at the reception desk and told we had been moved over to the main building from the annex as a room had become available. Access to the room was easy, in the lift, up to the third floor and just across the corridor. The room wasn't over big but as it was going to be used to sleep in and not stay the whole weekend it didn't matter too much. Everything seemed clean except for the cups which had not been washed. We unpacked and on our way out we reported to reception that the cups were dirty and they said they would deal with that straight away. The hotel was as said, close to Victoria Station so access to all parts of London providing there is normal rail service, is possible. It also has a few pubs nearby which serve food as well as drink one being just across the road. There are local supermarkets and shops should you need to buy bits and pieces required for your stay. The noise from outside was minimal however there was lots of door banging on our floor on the second night of our stay which seemed to go on into the very early hours. The are two things I can say were not very good. One is that the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were like sandbags. The other is that on the Saturday morning we were disturbed by a knock on the door when a member of staff had knocked on the wrong door and on the day were were to check out, (checkout was at 11.00am), we were disturbed at 9.45am when a member of staff knocked on the door and wanted to come into the room and clean. As you can imaging we asked him to kindly go away. I am not sure if I would return to this particular hotel but it was still ok for a short stop over.

"Very nice"
Venita M, 02 Septembre 2018

We stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon. I requested a surprise welcome note for my husband and they really delivered. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon special! It's close to the subway. Across the street from the main building is a great restaurant. We were in the annex and I think we had the largest room which still wasnt big but we didn't spend much time there as we were touring the city. The front desk was very nice but the bell hop was the most friendly and helpful. The annex did not have an elevator but the bell hop helped carry our bags and even helped us mail a post card. The room was clean and bed was comfortable.

"Cozy, perfectly located hotel"
fcal0707, 30 Août 2018

The Best Western Victoria Hotel is perfectly located, a 10-min walk from Victoria Station, ideal for flying in from Gatwick, and easily connected to all the main sights in London, by tube or bus (n.24 takes you straight to Westminster and Trafalgar Square). Besides, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, mostly along Wilton Rd. We travelled as a family, with our 10- and 13-year old boys. We had booked two rooms, and had asked them to be adjacent. To our surprise, when we checked in we were told that we had been upgraded to an apartment in the next door building, for the same prize (apartment Z). It was incredibly roomy for the four of us:it had a fully equipped kitchen, spacious lounge, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, both en suite. You need to be fit, though: the lounge and kitchen are on top in the second (counting the European way) floor, and the rooms were on the third, no lift. The stairs were rather steep! Although overall it was nice, some details detracted from the experience: the kitchen cabinets were rather basic, and one of the bathroom doors couldn't be closed because it was too big for the frame! Breakfast was a British fry-up with lots of Continental options as well. Although it was not included in our rate, we ended up having it all the five days we stayed. The breakfast room is in a basement with no natural light, and can feel a bit cramped. Wi-fi was basic, but sufficient for our kids. The reception staff was courteous and efficient; check-in and out were a breeze. The breakfast ladies, though, had Soviet-bloc brusque manners.

"They had let my room to someone else!"
Helene Christin... P, 28 Août 2018

I advised them that I would be a late arrival but when I checked in at 8.30pm they told me that I was already there! I booked as a single person but they had given it to a lady with a child who didn't speak English - she allegedly had the same name as me. I don't think so! It took them an hour to free up the room and change the bedding etc. Meanwhile I had to eat sandwiches in the lobby and wait, after a long day travelling and needing to get up early the next day for work. They gave me free breakfasts to compensate but in fact I had already had had this included on the original booking - a fact they disputed. The room itself was very small with an open hanging space and nowhere to put anything else. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The breakfast was satisfactory. Would I book here again? Probably not, given the difficult circumstances of my arrival. I have always felt that Best Western was a brand I could trust but not any longer.

"Wonderful Accomodations"
Paulette M, 27 Août 2018

I recently returned from my 9 day trip to London last night and I was quite impressed with this hotel. I stayed in the annex building and the room was cozy and spotless. I had a double bed which was very comfortable and slept well. The hotel is located on the same block as many of the shops and restaurants and only a few minutes walk to the Victoria Coach station and Victoria Tube station. The taxis were very accessible and the staff were accommodating as when it was my time to check out, they had booked a taxi service to the airport which was more than reasonably priced. This hotel is centrally located to all the major attractions as you can walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey etc. It is a neat and safe area and the people are very friendly. Housekeeping services do a great job as the cleanliness was top notch. I just want to say thank you to the staff for making my stay in London comfortable and enjoyable!

"Does not meet safety standards - NO FIRST AID KIT"
Min Young L, 27 Août 2018

During our stay one of the guests had a severe cut and was bleeding heavily. Front desk brought a first aid kit which was laughable, there were maybe 4 surgical gloves, one burn kit in the entire box. NOT A SINGLE band-aid, gauze.. Hotel staff were useless at pointing us to the right emergency room at midnight, when we eventually found one and told the doctor about this, she was appalled. This is definitely against safety regulations or any public buildings. Luckily the injury wasn't severe, but hotel definitely is NOT EQUIPPED to handle anything.

"We had a lovely time here"
LEH748, 22 Août 2018

We stayed here as we were at the Queen's garden party and thought it looked like a good area to stay close to the palace. We couldn't fault it. It is a lovely hotel in the midst of loads of coffee shops restaurants and only about a 10 minute walk gets you to Victoria with a further 10-15 min walk and you are in Parliament Square. I have to say the staff were lovely even looking after my hat on the last day when we went for our last wander before catching our train. The breakfast options were more than adequate, even for me as I am wheat/gluten intolerant and when I mentioned it they immediately brought out a loaf of bread and advised me of which toaster I could use and where it would be stored for my other breakfasts. You need to be aware that the hotel also have annex rooms which are actually not part of the hotel but I am sure when you book you can inquiry about this. Would I stay again? Yes I would without hesitation.

"Central location to transport shops and places of interest in London"
Claudia B, 19 Août 2018

6 night stay a 5 min walk from Victoria train/coach statio ..we arrived while a storm was brewing and as our room was in an detached building nearby it was impossible to walk there until the storm passed...we were kindly offered a cup of tea while waiting by checkin staff. Our room on the 3rd floor with 2 single beds was small but had everyhing neccesary, bathroom sml but new, modern and clean. Restaurants pubs and shops in walking distance..I wouldn't mind staying there again in future. Our booking didn't include breakfast but was available at an extra cost if we wanted.

"Comfortable- good breakfast!"
Steve R, 14 Août 2018

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Victoria station so ideal if you're planning on using public transport. Check in was quick, painless and efficient. The room I had was small (double) compared to some but would be ok for two adults with a bit of coordination. However it was clean and well equipped (included a welcome tray with biccies and a safe). Wifi log in worked fine which is always a bonus. Worth remembering that there is no dining facility in the evening herebut there are plenty of places close by. I would recommend the pub opposite (The Marquis). Anyway, on to bedtime and I had a reasonable nights sleep which is unusual for me first night, rooms are air conditioned as well. Breakfast is served in a room in the basement and was very good. The usual selection of fruit, cereals and pastries plus a hot buffet to give the arteries a workout if you wish. In summary, a good hotel for a business stopover or for a longer stay.

"Best home base in london"
RonWaer, 08 Août 2018

Pimlico is such a great neighborhood. Walking distance to Victoria station tube, Buckingham Palace, and Westminster. Also, the hop on hop off busses stop at Victoria station. The hotel rooms are smallish but not by London standards. There are all these great little restaurants between the hotel and Victoria station. Must stop at pimlico fresh, great food and the staff will make you feel welcome

"Great Location"
ghbeachgirl, 07 Août 2018

I stayed 2 nights at the Best Western Victoria Palace, July 17-18th. I had stayed here 5 years ago and found the breakfast to be just as good as before. We were booked in the annex, but ended up in the hotel. We were down a flight of stairs and across from the kitchen. It was quiet and never heard anything from there. This hotel also has air conditioning which was a bonus, since it was warmer than normal in London. The front desk people are always helpful, held our luggage for us when we arrived at 7 am, and answered any questions. I did notice some cobwebs in the room high up, but that would be my only negative.

"Annexe is Fine"
GOM99, 06 Août 2018

I stayed in the hotel's annexe which was fine as I did not take breakfast. It is marginally nearer to Victoria Station and the shops. If you want the hotel breakfast you have to walk to the main building – not too far but, if cold or wet, it would not be a good start to the day. I would opt for a room in the main building if you think it might affect you. The room was smallish but well-appointed with a/c and good WiFi. The plumbing was rather loud and, as my room, was quite close to the front door, you could hear it opening and closing – especially when being used by selfish individuals who do not know how to use a door handle to close doors quietly. However, these did not seriously interfere with my sleep. Coffee cuos were not washed up and coffee used was not replaced.

"Well located, comfortable but small"
Julia C, 04 Août 2018

This hotel is really conveniently located near to Victoria train and bus stations. I was actually staying in the annex, which was down the road from the main hotel. Like a lot of London hotels, there was very little space in the room, however the bed was large with nice, crisp white sheets. The bathroom was small and functional and the shower was a good quality. There was a desk to work at, but there was very little space between the desk and the bed to get the chair out so it was quite cramped to work. There was only one small window in the room which looked out over a central shaft through the middle of the hotel and, in the great heat that we have been having recently, didn't give a lot of ventilation. There was air conditioning in the room, but it was struggling to keep the room cool. You had to go back to the main hotel for breakfast which gave an excellent choice and was in a really nicely decorated area. All of the staff that I came across were really friendly and helpful.

"Whirlwind visit to London"
Ridleyp, 31 Juillet 2018

My husband and I live in Canada and are sightseeing across the UK and Scotland - we were lucky enough to get booked into the Best Western Victoria Palace. Our room was a couple of doors away from the main reception and was perfect, it was like a tiny apartment with everything we needed. It was nice and clean and although we only stayed for 2 nights it was cleaned after the first night! Price was reasonable and the hotel is 10 min walk from Victoria train and bus stations. Staff were super friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel!

"Conveinient position"
compon, 24 Juillet 2018

This is a nice clean hotel with relatively polite staff and clean functional rooms. It is very close to Victoria station, no more than a 5-minute walk for a fit person. There are pubs and food outlets close by as well as a convenience shop opposite for papers, magazines and sandwiches etc. Prices were good when we went at £80 for a double room

"Comfortable but small"
Greg K, 22 Juillet 2018

This hotel is in a great neighborhood in the city of Chelsea. We could walk to great food options and an easy walk to victoria bus station and has restaurants, markets, atm all in close proximity. It is about a 10 min walk to Buckingham palace.. It has 4 of the classic old red telephone booths out in front, great for photos. Rooms can be very small in London, and unless you get a suite these are small too but definitely nicely appointed and liveable. I found the bed very comfortable. Room had a safe and a coffeemaker, and was quite adequate for our needs. There is a small 24 hour market across the street as well as a laundry and dry cleaning service and spa. I found the staff very helpful and polite. Our room had a plumbing issue and the staff immediately gave us another room and handled it well. My only negative is that there is not an elevator in all buildings but the bellhop can help with the luggage. I would definitely come back and suggest to a friend.

"Shoe box"
sobaka50, 19 Juillet 2018

Perfect location, excellent stuff, the room is the size of a shoe box. One can't unpack as there is no place in the room to put clothes. There is a space for only one suitcase. There is a modest breakfast, not included. There are two USB ports, four electrical outlets and a powerful air conditioner in the room. You might be ok if not claustrophobic.

"Nice people, bad stay"
nick0leary, 16 Juillet 2018

The location of this hotel is just perfect if you are visiting London as you are a stones throw away from a lot of the great sites that London has to offer. The staff were generally were very nice and friendly, however the room I stayed in smelt of smoke which was not pleasant, as the hotel is meant to be non smoking. The Hotel was also quite expensive for what it was.

"Nice Hotel in a Good Location"
birminghamx2, 10 Juillet 2018

Check in was quick and efficient, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and offered a map of the local area if wanted. Our room was a fairly good size, the bathroom a little tight for longer stays but we were only there one night. The room was air conditioned and had windows that opened so we had a very comfortable nights sleep following a 30degree day. The breakfast room is clean and spacious with a great selection to suit all tastes we had a full English and the choice and quality was fine, but there was continental, cereal every sort of preserve and bread available. The restaurant staff were efficient but not intrusive and the tables were cleared quickly once people had left. This is a great hotel close to Victoria which means you can get anywhere easily and Pimlico is a great area to stay with good choice of pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel which is good value for Central London

"Loved our stay"
Lyle E, 06 Juillet 2018

We found this hotel excellent for our stay in London, All the staff from the Manager to the bag carriers were great. Nothing was a problem. We booked some trips through the hotel and were given advise on the public bus service, and they were so helpful with any issues we needed help with. I would like to add the room we had was small, but we were happy with it. Can be a bit noisy with door closing late at night. That was the only issue we had. The staff in the kitchen , very good, excellent full English breakfast provided, along with fruit and all the other trimmings, We would stay there again...Loved the place. Good value for morey

"Small room"
Vladimir S, 04 Juillet 2018

Very good location. The smallest room I ever stayed in – if you just a bit claustrophobic make sure you do not get that small room. If my plain hadn't been several hours delayed resulting in my late arrival at the hotel (2am) I would immediately have left for a different hotel.

"Room too small but perfect location"
kidermit, 03 Juillet 2018

great location, with easy access to Victoria station, so ideal for business or tourist. The room was too small and basic, it had all the amenities though. In terms of price it is considered budget - given location and surrounding attractions, however I would question if it is value for money.

"In the Middle of London Attractions "
Jeff_MN, 23 Juin 2018

Just a couple blocks away from Victoria Station. Friendly front desk but nothing to write home about. We stayed in the world's smallest room with a double bed. If you put your suitcases down you can't walk. The hotel has multiple buildings and be aware that some have no elevator. Internet worked well. Shower was lukewarm. This hotel was OK for two nights and made us want to get out and see things.

"Walking distance from Victoria Station "
nerysm2017, 14 Juin 2018

Located just 12-15 walking minutes from Victoria Station. Property is composed of several buildings throughout the block that can easily accommodate the solo traveler (standard room) or a family of 5 (apartment). We were greeted by Vincenzo and he even assisted us with our luggage. He advised of the dining options nearby and where the local grocery store is located. Definitely will stay here again.

"Small but location is perfect"
plfkgf, 09 Juin 2018

We stayed in what is called the annex across the street from the reception desk and main hotel. When you stay in this small hotel, there is no elevator (lift) to the upper floors. The staff carry your bags up the stairs for you. The room is tiny. There is a breakfast that costs about 12 pounds and is quite adequate. This is convenient when it is raining. The hotel has many restaurants nearby and is close to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral. The best thing is that the trains, buses and underground are within walking distance. The National Gallery and the British Museum are accessible by bus or underground. The train runs directly to the airport.

"Good location; A Repeat Client"
ElTouristo61, 07 Juin 2018

I tend to use the BW Victoria Palace hotel every time I'm in London in part to earn points but also the great location and friendly staff. Some of the rooms are admittedly small and breakfast is an added charge (I skip it), but the clean rooms, location (few minutes walk to Victoria station and a quiet neighborhood), decent prices and free WiFi are all big pluses.

"Cheap and thats it "
Seb W, 01 Juin 2018

Probably depends which room you can get I got basement and I could hear tube and noises from road , room was small but clean ok , however had bit of strange smell , overall ok for 1 night cheap and easy access to Victoria station

"Great Location near Victoria Train Station"
Ginny A, 01 Juin 2018

My daughter and I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location was very good for walking to many monuments, Buckingham Palace, the Thames River, local restaurants and lots of places to shop. We stayed in the annex across the street from the main building. There are many hotels in this area. We were very happy with our choice. The air conditioning did not work in the room so it was stuffy. We slept with the window open until the staff showed us the location of the controls - on the wall behind the TV set. Odd location, but It worked out.

"Great hotel"
stonetara, 31 Mai 2018

We stayed for two nights over the bank holiday weekend. It's in a great location just a 5 minute walk from Victoria station. We choose this location because we were going to see wicked at the Victoria Apollo which again was only a 5 min walk away. We stayed in a lovely family room just big enough for what we needed. It was spotlessly clean, with tea &coffee facilities. Clean towels and Room tideless each day. Our room was near the top of the hotel so was good exercise getting to our room. You could definitely feel the burn in your thighs. But this was okay for us. Can't make a negative comment as we didn't experience any. Great place and will definitely book again.

"Comfortable accommodations tucked into a nice neighborhood"
Pepi25_11, 27 Mai 2018

The hotel is in converted private residences, with the office around the corner. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. It is an easy walk to Victoria Station or check out the international neighborhood -- shops, delis, restaurants and bakeries that are distinctly Portuguese, Italian, Indian and Old English. Great pubs and pub food nearby. Have a traditional full English breakfast in the downstairs dining room or enjoy Continental-style rolls, pastries and juices.

"A little gem"
mjm27_13, 25 Mai 2018

We stayed here as we were attending the Chelsea flower show. Stayed in main hotel. It was very clean and excellent value. Breakfast was excellent. The staff in the dining room were very attentive and helpful.i would recommend this hotel as very convenient to Victoria and Westminster. Helpful pleasant reception staff. Definitely will use again.

"Excellent hotel near Victoria Station and Westminster tourist sites"
LeeCary, 16 Mai 2018

We chose this hotel because we were attending a function at Westminster Abbey and Central Halls Westminster. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the staff were amazingly helpful. Within easy walking distance of all Westminster attractions and fairly reasonable for Central London in summer. Near to Victoria Station. Easy to hail taxis and lots of places to eat and drink from supermarkets to restaurant standard. Can recommend Italian Restaurant Uno (separate review).

"Placement and accommodating staff are the wow factors here."
Elvis123, 16 Mai 2018

Second time stay to attend the Queens Garden Party and the location was a key factor when booking. Originally we were staying in the annexes but the poor reviews made me ask for a room in the main hotel. The manager was lovely, helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay great. Rooms are a tad small but in London what do you expect if you're not a millionaire! All in all, top notch.

"A great hotel in a great city"
rdstrickland, 14 Mai 2018

I have stayed at this hotel twice, in 2017 and in 2018, for leisure travel. The location is excellent. It's easy to walk to many attractions or to catch the tube. There is also a wonderful Sainsbury grocery store near by. The people that manage and work at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. They know a lot about how to get around in the city, and were happy to help us with all of our questions. It is their helpfulness that encouraged us to stay at the same property this year. We found our bed extremely comfortable.

"It has its good points! "
Keeley B, 14 Mai 2018

Booked a room here before checking Trip Advisor, then looked at the reviews simply to check out location better ie. places to eat, distance to tube etc. Then wished I hadn't. The reviews for the 'annex' rooms were worrying and I felt like an idiot for spending £167 for one night without checking first! However, I've come home from my stay feeling that I need to extol some of this hotel's virtues, for it has many and often, I feel that people can be far too quick to give a bad rating. So here is my review based purely on my room and stay. We arrived 2 hrs before check in, hoping to be able to leave our luggage. We were greeted at the reception desk with not one but two beaming smiles and offered our room immediately, as they believed it to be ready early. Check in was swift and we were escorted over to the 'annex' which is a building across the street from the main hotel. The guy carried our bags and showed us to our room, which was up 2 flights of well kept but quite narrow and steep stairs, as there is no lift. The reviews had already given me the heads up on the rooms being small, but to be honest, I hadn't quite anticipated that it would be THAT small. Thankfully I was with my grown up daughter but I wouldn't have been happy sharing with a colleague or even a friend to be honest. The window looked out onto other windows and a brick wall and there was no where for our suitcases. It was so pokey and I did moan about it for a while! However, my daughter pointed out to me that it was just a place for us to shower and sleep and it did actually have everything we needed ......albeit in a confined space! The weather had been exceptionally warm and it felt very stuffy, so the air conditioning was absolutely wonderful. The TV was a good size, the room was well equipped, the bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. The sheets were crisp and of good quality and the mattresses and pillows were the comfiest I've yet encountered. It really did serve it's purpose. Location was absolutely perfect for us as we were seeing Hamilton and there was a really good selection of pubs, shops and eateries between the hotel and the theatre including a sainsburys! I can see why some people would be alarmed at the room size and, if I'm honest, I still think the tarriff is way too high for the size of accommodation. I begrudge paying through the nose just because of the SW1 postcode...I expect £167 pounds worth of room and I don't feel I got that. There were a couple of tired looking areas in the bathroom, the light above the mirror wasn't working and the view was, well, terrible. But, it was all part of our treat away, and we were very well looked after. I cannot fault the staff at all. They were very polite, helpful and welcoming and I would stay again for the right price. I feel £100 would have been a more fitting amount for our room. As for breakfast, it was very tasty. There was plenty of choice but again, a very small space with too many tables crammed in and slightly over priced. Overall we had a lovely (but expensive) stay and be warned, when reviews say small....they mean small xx

"Victoria Palace Hotel London"
daviddW2740BE, 13 Mai 2018

I have stayed regularly at this hotel, travelling from the North of England, over many years All staff are friendly and most helpful. The management should be highly commended as there is clearly little staff turnover; always a reliable indicator of good leadership and a caring management.

"Normal"
Roberto S, 02 Mai 2018

Normal hotel in Pimlico. Shame about the windows because during the night all the noices enter easy the room. It could be better Isolated. Also if you like to sleep in darkness please be aware that the curtains don't hold back all the light and sunshine will wake you up early if you can't stand the clearness. Hotel staff was really, really nice.

"Cheap overnight accomodation"
ab06122017, 12 Avril 2018

Stayed here in March, location is good for central London and easy to get to the tube. Room was very small and in annexe building. There was a window but it looked straight onto a brick wall in the basement. Continual hum and vibration from the underground nearby. Was taken to room by one of the staff who made no effort to help with luggage or tell me about the hotel. A clean bed for the night near Victoria but not much else.

"A pleasant surprise"
travellingbaby_8, 11 Avril 2018

Our family of 3 stayed for 5 nights to see the sights of London. The location, close to Victoria station and to many tourist attractions was why we chose this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to get a larger room that slept 4 on the lowest level of the main building. The breakfast dining room was right next to the room so it was a bit noisy in the morning with dishes clanking but we were always up early anyway. The front desk staff was very helpful with any queries we had. The only thing that we were not impressed with was there was no control for the heat in the room and it didn't turn on until later at night so I always had a sweater on and my toes were cold. We would consider staying here again.

"Birthday trip to London "
loumooresx, 10 Avril 2018

Near to Victoria train station and the theatre. Comfortable bed, clean, hot shower with lovely smelling toiletries. Very impressed with the breakfast, great selection, & good strong coffee to keep filling up on. Definitely stay again.

"Great value. "
lorna79, 09 Avril 2018

Only stayed here one night, it is only a short distance from Victoria train station . Staff are really helpful and we checked in quickly. Breakfast was included and was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

"Good clean place to stay for a short time "
Klaithem S, 09 Avril 2018

It is a good hotel in a good location. I booked only one night that I was attending a ceremony. The staff were so helpful and checked me in early that I could prepare for the ceremony. The room was small but cozy and enough for me. The bed was comfortable. There was a closet, safe deposit box, dressing area, coffee and tea facility. The bathroom was really nice and clean. I loved staying there. I checked out so early that I didn't experience the breakfast.. In general it is an affordable good place to stay for a short time

"Traveler Be Aware"
User, 26 Mars 2018

Traveler beware : read print no refunds if there is a family sickness ! My sister and I are senior women ! My sister has a lung bacteria that she contacted from Hurricane Katrina ! The morning we were to leave for London she started spitting up blood from her lungs ! Needless to say she could not fly ! I contacted the hotel immediately and was told “ no problem ” just present a doctor certificate which we provided . When we tried to book two weeks later, management said no the excuse was not good enough , it wasn't like a broken leg and he was not going to accommodate or refund . The whole trip was cancelled ! Management / owner totally uncaring and kept the entire amount for 7day stay !!!! A total loss How unfair ??

"Peculiar but fine"
sportingfruit, 19 Mars 2018

Checking in at reception then having to cross the road to get to your hotel room, without a lift to go up several flights, was weird. That said, there could be few complaints with this basic hotel in a central part of London.

"Very good value for money"
jemmamatthews11, 17 Mars 2018

We spent one night in the Best Western Victoria Palace Hotel as a group of three. Our room was in separate building from the reception which was a very short walk away. Pros: - Nice and modern decor in the bedroom and bathroom - Incredibly clean - Powerful shower - Comfortable beds - Tea and coffee making facilities - Good location, just a short walk from the nearest tube station. Also ideal accommodation for those seeing a show in Victoria Theatre - Friendly staff Cons: - The room was uncomfortably warm - Very thin walls meaning we could hear our neighbour opening and closing doors, watching tv, showering etc

"Excellent Breakfast and Warm Welcome but noise was a problem"
Laura H, 16 Mars 2018

Check in was very friendly and told you all the basics and staff were not over imposing during our stay which was good. Room is small and compact but has most of what you need for a short break apart from an iron and ironing board. Good radiator and air conditioning. Very clean room, stayed 2 nights and cleaned and tidied after the first, comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast, they use premium quality produce for their cooked breakfast and have a huge choice of cereals, pastries, breads and coffees. Only negative and unfortunately quite a big one was the noise both inside and outside of the hotel. In the morning you could hear every creak of the doors being opened and closed and TVs on in the adjoining rooms and outside you could hear mainly traffic and pelican crossing beeping at all hours of the night, this gave a broken nights sleep on both nights, not great when a day of sight seeing is planned followed by a show! If they could get the noise sorted out by investing in some noise cancelling measures this hotel would be perfect.

"Short getaway in London"
Päivi I, 08 Mars 2018

Nice hotel close to Victoria station. Easy to get there from the Gatwick airport. Very friendly & helpfull staff. Clean, basic room. Good bathroom. The only minus was loud neighbour, so we couln't sleep well. There's also easy to get breakfast close to the hotel.

"Good place to stay."
Naga H, 04 Mars 2018

I like rooms and service. But they do not provide breakfast, we need to pay additional money. Apart from this rooms and service is very clean. I recommend my friends to this hotel for stay. compare to other hotels cost also Ok

"Happy in the annexe"
Mbp6, 03 Mars 2018

When I booked a room in the annexe I wasn´t very sure of what to expect, as the room was cheaper than in the main building. I do not know how the rooms in the main building look like, but I was very happy with my room in the annexe ( 2 min walk from the hotel). The room was small, but for the price and the location (10 min walk for Victoria coach station) was more than adequate. I would book this hotel again!

"It does the job"
Martin W, 03 Mars 2018

After checking in rather late one evening and being told that I was staying in the annexe, I wasn't too impressed. checking wasn't the best of experiences however we made our way escorted across the road to the said annexe. Here I found a warm building well lit, the only unfortunate thing was my room was up three or four flights of stairs and I was offered no assistance with a heavy case. On arrival at the room, I found it was clean, tidybut not the largest however perfectly acceptable. I grew to like this little hotel and it's annexe, it does the job perfectly well and I would consider staying here on a budget in London again.

"Again our favorite"
Roger S, 02 Mars 2018

Stayed here foranotherv 2 nights, this was our 4th or 5th visit, pleased to say that the staff and good, helpful and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the heating is good, looking forward to coming back

"Good Location"
christinebeaver, 18 Février 2018

My partner & I stayed here at the end of August 2017 for two nights. We chose this hotel as it was close to the coach and tube stations, as well as being a short walk from other popular locations. Overall the hotel was good and fairly clean with friendly staff. They offered free WiFi which we used, as well as a breakfast service which we didn't so can't comment upon. We were placed in the second building across the street from the main hotel and our room was below ground level. The room was very noisy, as to be expected in London, however we had requested a quiet room and feel like this wasn't achieved at all. It was also quite small but we didn't mind as we weren't spending much time there. Nice hotel and good prices, would recommend if you are looking to stay in this area.

"Great location and staff"
cintuchi, 16 Février 2018

Great people at the front desk the clarify every question, fivr minutes walking distance to Victoria Station, a couple traffic lights down to take the city tour bus wich I highly recommend, the best and inexpensive way to visit all the attractions around town.. The room was little but clean, perfect for a couple days trip. Get the room with the breakfast included totally worth it, excellent variety.

"They saved me from a horrible experience!"
Catherine V, 13 Février 2018

I booked a room at another hotel a few blocks away. I arrived to find that I was given what appeared to be a refurbished broom closet! I walked into the Best Western Victoria Palace on Friday night and, after informing them of my predicament, asked about rooms and pricing. For $244 (for two nights) I received a great room, with a king bed, ample space, and great service. They were even kind enough to show me the room first. They saved my London visit! Thank you. And, It is just a couple of blocks from Victoria Station!

"Great location"
Darren99999, 04 Février 2018

This hotel is all about location. 5 minutes walk from Victoria station and only 10 minutes from Buckingham Palace it was ideal. We arrived on Saturday night and could even park for free on the side streets. This was an unexpected bonus. Most are park with permit Monday to Friday. The 24hour Shop was convenient. The actual hotel was somewhat quirky, quaint and rather small. The whole room felt like it slanted to one side. The shower did not work properly but everything was clean and the staff were friendly. Downstairs for breakfast and the full english was great. Overall, I would probably stay again if this location was needed.

"Worst hotel ever"
User, 04 Février 2018

Dirty bedding (and no service on the 2nd day) Full recycle bin at bathroom when arrived Coffee cups with marks of lipstick Cold bathroom (no heating at all) Strained towel No air evacuation in shower cubicle (it makes you breating only in steams, feeling as you are in bathhouse) Not working handle of toilet doors Noisy: you hear every single step and every word speaking of other guests at their rooms and public areas Positive things: Good location Fast checking in and out Shower gel, shampoo in bathroom A posibility to drink coffee in the morning There are problems with heating- as room was very small, when heating is on it makes room very hot, when off- too cold.

"Location....location....location!"
Ann G, 02 Février 2018

Best Western Victoria Palace was a great find. As they say, location...location...location. It was within walking distance to Victoria Station, the theaters for HAMILTON and Wicked, and Golden Tours. It was perfect for us. The room was a bit dated, but the extra (unrequested) bed provided a great spot for luggage. The bath was HUGE. The breakfast was very good, offering many options. Would return.

"Meets your needs"
gpan911, 30 Janvier 2018

We've stayed in three days. The second day the room was not cleaned at all and the third day the coffee facilities were not replaced. Pefect location. Nice room although little bit small. Breakfast was not included

"Great value, fantastic location"
Kathryn V, 30 Janvier 2018

We stayed here for 2 nights this past summer and it was exactly what we were looking for - an affordable hotel within walking distance of many of the "must-see" London sights, and very close to public transit for taking trips further away or to/from the airport. Even though it's close to Westminster and the palace, the neighborhood itself is quiet and there were several great places to eat nearby. I'd definitely stay here again!

"Very good value"
BeverleyC518, 19 Janvier 2018

I was in an annex single room. It was very spacious with brilliant facilities. Excellent value for central London. Had a very comfortable and safe stay. The staff were very helpful. Ideally located to Victoria mainline and underground and a regular bus service number 24 to Trafalgar square.

"Night away in London "
Lesley W, 03 Janvier 2018

We were up in London for our annual Christmas outing for dinner and a show! Of course, we needed somewhere to stay and chose this hotel in the Victoria area as it is very handy for Victoria station. The reception staff were very friendly and our room was what you would expect in a Best Western. The bed was really comfortable and was so comfy we even managed a little lie in! It was Christmas after all! We didn't have the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Our room was on the front of the building, but we weren't disturbed by any passing traffic. Recommend this as a place to rest your head when on a visit to London.

"Very helpful staff; clean and reasonably comfortable rooms near Victoria."
Muireann O, 23 Décembre 2017

Recommend this hotel highly. The rooms are small and fairly basic, but clean and comfortable. (Can get too hot: lower radiator setting before sleep.) Location is excellent: 5-10 mins max walk from Victoria Train/Underground. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, answering queries and requests readily and efficiently.

"Great value in the centre of London "
Sarah S, 22 Décembre 2017

Stayed here for a night after seeing the musical ‘Hamilton' (I know - lucky me!) & shared a room with my daughter. Great value, could have slept 3 as there was a double & a single. Everything we wanted was there & breakfast was very good the next day. Very helpful staff, room was spotless & nice shower. For the price I paid it was excellent value considering the location was so central. Will definitely come again.

"Two parts to this Hotel"
sonyafield, 22 Décembre 2017

We wanted an overnight stop near Victoria main line station and this did fit the bill. It took about ten minutes to walk and was easy to find. We'd book through Booking.com and found ourselves in the annex. The annex is across the road and not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, as little stairs to levels. The room was a lot smaller than a Travelodge or Premier Inn and the bathroom minute. I found the bed hard, but the room did have all you needed, even if very small. One has to wonder if we'd booked direct, we may have had a better room in the main building.

"Comfortable "
Meme A, 17 Décembre 2017

Room was clean and tidy. I stayed in the single room annex. It was perfect for a one night stay. I would suggest to bring ear plugs as the walls are thing and you can hear other guests and their nightly activities plus guests walking in the corridors. Otherwise it was ok. A bit pricy so try to book in advance for better rates. Location is a short walk to Victoria station which was very good.

"Excellent base for Hamilton the musical"
Mary L, 17 Décembre 2017

Hotel excellent base to see Hamilton the musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre. Just a quick 5 minutes walk. Reception staff extremely helpful. Hotel also convenient for Victoria bus/tube stations. Room excellent.

"Lots of stairs"
bobwarren, 17 Décembre 2017

This hotel..like so so many hotels in London is expensive for what you receive. But that's London..small rooms at top prices. We had to haul suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. The good points are it is close to tube and front desk staff were extremely helpful.

"Terrible customer service. AVOID"
Maria P, 15 Décembre 2017

This is probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The room is small, and there are virtually no amenities, but even worse than that is the Hotel staff. In every room there is a book of recommendations or places the hotel has "deals" with. One being the laundry service across the street. DO NOT DROP OFF ANYTHING THERE! i dropped things off in the morning and was assured that they would be finished by 5-6pm and that they would even drop them at the desk for me, I dropped in at 430 to see if they might be done early, and he reassured me that between 5 and 6 they would drop them off at the desk. I came back to the hotel only to find out they were not in fact dropped off and the cleaner was closed for the night. I asked the hotel staff about it, and they said that there was nothing they could do, since they only recommended the place. And that he was a "good guy" and to wait until morning. That was the end of the conversation they were willing to have. No way to contact this man no way to get my things back. This is absolutely outrageous, there is no way you can have a deal with a business and then not be able to contact them. Also if you are in the hotel, the Wifi goes out at least once every hour. Literally stay anywhere else.

"Convenient and friendly"
David N, 15 Décembre 2017

The hotel is only a 5-10 minute walk from Victoria Station. The room we had was a good size, with an excellent shower. The bed was very comfortable. Despite being on the corner of two roads there was no problem with traffic noise. Excellent breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

"Great visit"
GemmaLC5, 14 Décembre 2017

Lovely large room. Most peaceful place I've ever stayed in London. Friendly staff. Would recommend and will stay again. Had room only booking so couldn't comment on breakfast. Easy to get to from St Pancras station.

"Not the Best, Best Western hotel."
HughDe, 13 Décembre 2017

Never stayed here before and probably wont stay again. It feels more like a B&B than a London hotel. It is in a good location close to Victoria, Pimlico, Vauxhall. The hotel is on split sites with one being described as 'The annex' which is actually 70 yds away across two roads. The annex is over 4 floors with no lift, so not suitable gor anyone with mobility issues. My room was lovely, small but extremely clean. Breakfast was pretty dissapointing, overcooked eggs, hash browns etc and soggy tinned mushrooms.

"Cutest hotel ever!"
emilyix, 10 Décembre 2017

I booked last minute at the Best Western Victoria, and I was not disappointed. I was given the tiniest, cutest room in the basement of their annex building. It was clean and cozy and perfect because I was only ever there to sleep. About a 10 minute walk to the nearest Underground stop, but in a very safe and cute neighborhood. The men working at the front desk were also extremely helpful.

"Small rooms and cold breakfast"
SurreyGirl27, 01 Décembre 2017

For £123 a night single room it remains pricery for London B&B. The room was of average size, but th bathroom was tiny, you couldnt even sit sqaure on the toilet which was right up to the sink and it was impossible to turn round in the shower cubicle. I had a problem with the TV which was sorted very well and the staff were fantastic in general, even heting up food for guests in their microwave. The breakfast had a fantastic choice, 2 x fruit juice, fresh coffee, coffee machine, pastries, assorte dbreds and fruit. The buffet cooked breakfast was great in choice, 3 x egg, sausage, bacon, hash brown, mucshroom, beans, tomatoe etc (£12.50 if not on B&B price), but the scrambled egg, mjshroom, beans and has brown were cold and I dont think the hot plates worked. Nice location, 5-6 min walk from Victoria Rail and coach station. One small issue is the windows which are not double glazed (possibly due to age of property) but the pedestrian crossing outside bleeps almost constantly and can be heard in the front rooms.

"What we needed..."
Anna T, 16 Novembre 2017

After 7 days of sharing accommodations at (very nice) hostels, it was nice to be able to spread out and open your suitcase without having to consider the mess you're making that may impose on other people. The room was small--but it was all the space we needed. Bed: comfortable. Bathroom: clean (even included complimentary toiletries). Heated, but also had an air conditioner, if you need it. There was a desk, there was a TV, there was a wardrobe. Friendly staff; very accommodating. Very close to Victoria Station, so it was a great location. Would recommend staying here. Note: This is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but there are grocery stores and a starbucks at Victoria station which is a 5-10 minute walk so not too far.

"Good value for the money"
jiris359, 31 Octobre 2017

Excellent location, helpfull staff, safe neighbourhood, very good breakfast (high quality of foods), clean rooms, close to the underground station and bus stop, WiFi included, good value for the money

"Great Central Hotel"
Arlene G, 28 Octobre 2017

Overall can't really fault this hotel most of the staff were amazing BUT breakfast room was very small and you felt squeezed in on some busy days and couple of staff, from the breakfast room where rude. Room was smallish - but typical of room I London and spotless, free WiFi but only can connect to one device per person at at time (found this out trying to connect the 2 devices each my partner and I had. Victoria is less than 10 mins walk and all the tourist things such as the Abbey and HoP are less than 30 mins walk. Plus we arrive about 7ish in the morning - the hotel kept our bags and we had breakfast before we headed of to do sightseeing.

"Tiny Gem nestled in a prime location "
Sudeep M, 25 Octobre 2017

I had a last minute trip planned to London and had a short 3 night stay so took the easy way out of opting for a known brand which is centrally located. Can't complain about the access to the hotel.London is so well connected that it's hard to be more than a mile away from public transport. Located at a 7-8 mins walk from Victoria station which is well linked to all of UK. Getting to the hotel was fairly easy. The building is a typical old school London building with 2-3 floors and adjoining other buildings. The hotel has tried to make best use of the available space. We got a room on the 1st floor which was pretty convenient. Some higher floors might get difficult to access with lot of luggage although they have elevators. The rooms are very compact.. you will need to skip your floor exercises! The shower cubicle might get a tad uncomfortable if you are over 6 feet. No minibar! The front desk staff was pleasant during my limited interaction. The breakfast was pleasantly good compared to most London hotels of similar standard. Wide selection of bakery products and eggs and space used efficiently. Kudos to the staff More managing operations in such limited space. Would visit again.

"Nice home base location for our first extended stay in London."
pingvuiini, 22 Octobre 2017

My friend and I stayed at the Best Western Victoria Palace from September 29 to October 4, 2017. Our choice of this hotel on was based on location and previous favorable stays at BW properties in Venice, Italy, Amsterdam and Palm Springs. We arrived at Gatwick Airport and took the Gatwick Express train to Victoria Station and walked about a quarter mile to the hotel. The Victoria Palace is split into two locations: the main office lobby building located on Warwick Way and the annex section just around the corner on Belgrave Road/A3213. We were given room #33 at the annex. There is no elevator so we had to climb 4 sets of stairs to reach the third floor, which we found to be tiring after the long flight or after extensive sightseeing. The room was small with two beds, a desk, flatscreen TV, closet with safe, a small shelf with tea service, wall unit A/C and small bathroom. No icebox or microwave. Outside the window is a view of adjacent rooftops and buildings and in the distance to the northeast the London Eye can be seen peeking over the buildings. The free wifi was quite stable and fast in our room. The A/C worked fine but there was a loose plastic part that made a loud buzzing all the time which made it hard to sleep. My friend took a tourist brochure and jammed it into the offending loose part of the A/C and stopped the noise. The fan inside the bathroom also had a rattling cover which fell off and we stored it under the sink for the duration of our stay. Bliss. The immediate surroundings were on the quiet side at night, although on Friday and Saturday nights there can be boisterous pub activity going on into the wee hours. There are a lot of similarly sized hotels in the area and also a high concentration of restaurants just behind the annex on Wilton Road. We had wonderful fish & chips at Seafresh for our first meal. For extended stay grocery shopping there is a Sainsbury's Supermarket that we visited several times, especially since breakfast was not included with our room. There is also a small 24 hour convenience store right across the street from the hotel for quick after hours snacking. On October 2 we walked from the hotel to The Regency Cafe for their highly regarded Full English Breakfast that we both wanted to try. Afterwards we walked across Lambeth bridge and up along the river to the London Eye and then back across Westminster bridge to Parliament/Big Ben, the New Scotland Yard and finally Westminster Abbey, where the Lord Chancellor's Breakfast ceremony happened to be taking place. Interesting! We wandered around nearby Strutton Ground Market where a bunch of business type people were grabbing lunch in a neat farmers market type environment, then headed back to the hotel. So while not in the immediate area there are many major sites that are within a long walkable distance of the hotel, which also include Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street and Hyde Park. To get around quicker there is a reasonably priced Santander automated rental bike station very close by, although it could be hazardous if you're not used to riding on the other side of the street. Be careful! For our first long term stay in London the BW Victoria Palace served as an ideal home base to explore the key spots of the city. The nearby Victoria Station was a very useful access point to the Underground as well as for the Gatwick Express to get into town from the airport and to head down south for our day trip to Brighton. The additional propinquity of numerous restaurants and stores added to the convenience factor of the hotel. That being said, the high cost for the small and spartan accommodations for five nights stung a little bit. During the planning stages of our trip we also checked on the slightly cheaper Best Western Plus Vauxhall which is about 1.5 miles away on the other side of the river. Many of the TA reviews make mention of the smallness of the rooms at the Vauxhall location but I can't imagine those rooms being that much smaller than the one we had at Victoria Palace. Should I return to London on a budget I will probably give the Best Western Plus Vauxhall a shot just to see what it's like. But the Best Western Victoria Palace is also a fine property and I will definitely keep it filed away for possible future stays.

"Close to Victoria Station"
ockandrea, 19 Octobre 2017

Our room was quite small, as was the bathroom, but fortunately we didn't spend much time in it. It was a tight squeeze with our suitcases. The breakfast (included with our stay) was better than I expected. A variety of breads, cereal and juices to choose from, with some hot items to put together an English breakfast. The best thing about the hotel is the location, within a ten minute walk from Victoria Station and close to a variety of restaurants. Also, the front desk staff were very polite and helpful.

"First time visit to London"
tracywpaul, 14 Octobre 2017

When we first arrived to London, our first leg of the vacation was spent here for 2 nights. I'm not sure who designed the rooms but the ones we had were both very cramped and not at all easy to move around in with 3 people. The mattress needs replaced badly , is not comfortable at all. Pillow cases had dirt spots I noticed on the flip side, one of the towels had a black ring on the inside of the fold. For the price we got what we needed, beds to sleep with a shower. The 2nd part of our vacation was improved or the room part. A little better room configuration not by much. Linens were free of stains thank god. Their breakfast left a lot to be desired for the price which we passed on. Our next trip back I don't think we will stay here , best part of this was location of hotel not far from Victoria Station.

we stayed for one night needing to be close to Victoria station. we were in one of the annexes. we didn't mind being over the road from the hotel's main facilities as the room (like most best westerns) had everything we required including air conditioning (that worked!) and a room safe. it was however somewhat cramped - so much so that one side of the bed was pushed up against the wall. in addition it was somewhat noisy - the floorboards creaked from the room above whenever someone moved around, the water pipes in our room reverberated and sounded like bagpipes when water was used in adjoining rooms and the noise from trains trundling under the building were heard late at night and in the early hours of the morning. a little disappointing considering the cost of the room.

"Second visit to this hotel"
mhap, 06 Octobre 2017

I had stayed at the Victoria Palace in 2012 so knew it was in the perfect location for enjoying all London has to offer. With lots of restaurants, pubs and Victoria station nearby it is well situated. The rooms were a decent size, clean and quiet. The air conditioning worked well and unlike a lot of hotels wasn't noisy. The staff was friendly and ready to help with directions and suggestions. All in all a good place to stay and would certainly recommend it.

"Location"
N1892ORkenm, 05 Octobre 2017

Amazing location 5 blocks to the most central "tube" and train station-Victoria Station. 10 minutes to Buckingham Palace, and all other close sights are walking distance. Easy access to Picadilly and Soho...awesome pub experiences. Crowded city, but "go with the flow".

"Relatively OK"
Stewart W, 04 Octobre 2017

We stayed at first one night before going on a three day tour. Our second stay was for two nights and we were given a room that sharply slanted down to one side, including the bed. On leaving we remarked about this being extremely uncomfortable for 70 year olds like us and we were given a certain refund. The hotel was otherwise clean, tidy and has a lift to all floors which is rare and very convenient. The breakfast was everything self service with hot, cooked food and take as much as you like so that was excellent. Would return if promised a room with a straight floor!

"Great Location !!"
rajeev2309, 04 Octobre 2017

Very close to Victoria Coach and Railway Station. Peaceful surroundings. Small but neatly done rooms. Small and just manageable bathroom. Major attractions are close by. Got upgraded to room with balcony providing good roadside view. Helpful and smiling staff, specially Stanley. Enjoyed the stay and will come again on next opportunity.

"Just what you need for a business trip"
Rana C, 02 Octobre 2017

The room is spacious the bathroom is clean and well designed, the hotel is so close to places of attraction yet in a quiet neighborhood, therefore you can enjoy your stay with comfort, the staff are helpful and friendly The hotel used to be a palace for princess Victoria if I'm not wrong which means it holds history and style

"Great Location !"
mcin2shclan, 02 Octobre 2017

Enjoyed our stay here very much. They had upgraded us to a room with a balcony and had allowed us to check in early. The staff helped us with all of our needs. The rooms are small but very clean. Walking distance to the Palace and 2 blocks from Victoria Station. Great pub across the street and a corner store across from the hotel.

"Good location with a quick walk to the bus stop."
Michele G, 28 Septembre 2017

We are able to check in early since a room was available which was nice to drop our luggage and freshen up. Room was small, but still a decent size, as was the bathroom. Good shower with plenty of hot water. The AC also cooled great. Quick walk to the bus stop with lots of place to eat around, and a grocery store at the bus stop for good price on drinks and snacks. There is a small safe also that is easy to operate to put your valuables and passport in.

"room 504"
joesimith, 28 Septembre 2017

Substandard stay. drafty hotel No Privacy Room 504 had all sorts of racket going on staff did nothing Woman in 504 would bother others and the staff did nothing about her When I asked to be moved to another room they said no And as a group stood up and looked me over

"Great location, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and nice room with big towels and tall wall mirror"
GailLHerndonVA, 24 Septembre 2017

Great breakfast! Only hotel during our 16-day vacation that offered hot egg choices (omelet, fried egg, hard-boiled egg). Bacon (ham) was very good. Fresh croissants. Juice was tasty. Loved the expresso/coffee/chocolate machine. Can't say enough about the over-the-top assistance and kind demeanor of the hotel staff. Room included two windows and a closet, plus a tall wall mirror. Bathroom shower included body wash dispenser and a separate shampoo dispenser. Towels were nice and big. Located close to Victoria train station in a nice neighborhood with good restaurants nearby.

"Small, simple, comfortable"
Champion713, 21 Septembre 2017

London is obviously an expensive city, so we expected to pay a lot for a little. The price wasn't so bad, but the room was definitely VERY tiny. Don't expect to be able to bend down to shave your legs in the shower. That being said, it was still a warm, cozy home base during a cold week in December. Friendly staff, GREAT location, and relatively tidy. But be warned: we stayed in the annex on what I believe was the 5th floor (and the stairway is quite steep). Though we appreciated the exercise, I'm sure many others would not. Thanks to the staff for helping us carry our bags up.

"Do not stay in the annex -Overpriced hotel, not worth the money !"
Alejandro V, 18 Septembre 2017

Had a two night stay there recently. was not good room so small that 2 people could not be moving at same time in the bedroom area, our room was in the basement of this building which was a 7 min walk from the reception area in another building, our window looked at a brick wall so no sunlight what so ever, the cost of the room was overpriced for what we checked into. we stayed at a 4 star hotel for a night elsewhere in London and paid half the price from what this hotel was charging .

"Clean hotel. Staff was friendly. "
Jackie C, 17 Septembre 2017

The hotel was close to the Victoria tube and coach stations. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The rooms were extremely small. We had a triple and it was difficult to walk to the toilet and find places for our luggage. The beds were not very comfortable and were hard on our backs. This was on ok hotel for us since we didn't spend much time in it.

"Extremely Small"
lil_amy, 16 Septembre 2017

When we opened the door and saw it couldn't open all the way because the room was so tiny that the door hit a large desk/dresser we laughed so hard we almost peed our pants. We had to hoist our 50 pound bags up and over the beds just to get into the room. Three of us stayed in the room with one double bed and one twin. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. You can feel the springs. The room is very well lit. The bathroom small. The water pressure good. The temperature would go from hot to cool and back to hot a few times during a shower. The reason I'm giving it a 3 and not a 1 is because of the staff, location and excellent wifi. It's very close to Victoria Station. Safe, quiet area. The staff was so very nice, helpful and friendly. The WiFi always worked, never dropped me, and was fast.

"Too small"
Pelinkizilay, 02 Septembre 2017

The room was so small that after opening two luggages there was no room for us. We didn't have hot water at our first night so I had to wash my hair with cold water. Staff was very friendly, They accepted not to cancel our reservation as we were on a day late because an overbooked thy flight.

"Noisy and tiny room"
Kirsten C, 01 Septembre 2017

I booked this hotel through booking.com for my husband and I for 2 nights. We checked in and was told we were in the annex building across the road. When we got to our room it was tiny, the bathroom door didn't shut properly the lights over the bathroom mirror were just bulbs we could hear shouting and yelling from upstairs and elsewhere. We are now in a different hotel that we have stayed in before would not recommended this place at all. Staff were friendly and welcoming though

"Great Location, Friendly Service, Great for Budget Travelers"
D M, 27 Août 2017

I enjoy this hotel every time I stay in London. The location is perfect! Three block walk to Victoria station, short walk to Buckingham Palace, 15 minute walk to Trafalgar Square. 15 minute walk (the other way) to Harrods, and other stores on Sloane Street and Sloane Square. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Hotel/rooms are small and quaint, very clean, with comfy bed. Room has safe. Hotel is reasonably priced! Great if you are on a budget.

"The room will make your cruise ship cabin seem large"
GWP917, 24 Août 2017

My wife and I chose this hotel for a 7 night stay in London before a 12 day British Isles cruise. We wanted a location close to Victoria Coach Station and this seem to fit that criteria. We had several tours leaving from Victoria Coach Station over the week. After getting our bearings, we found that the coach station was about a 10 minute walk. So, the location of the hotel served us well. When we got to the room (in the main building), we were a bit surprised by the size. The hotel website does not show a room with this layout in their photo tour. It was extremely small. In fact, it made our inside cabin on the Caribbean Princess seem large. However, since we only used the room for sleeping, it turned out to serve us well for our 7 day stay. We were out and about London or the surrounding area from before 8 am until after 8 pm almost every day. Our prepaid hotel package included breakfast, which was very good. There was a nice variety of hot and cold items from which to select. The selection is very much like what is shown in their photo tour. On a couple of days, we needed to leave the hotel around 7 am and the restaurant staff was very accommodating of our needs on those mornings. We were able to partake in whatever hot food was already prepared and obviously all of the cold selections, even though the buffet did not officially open until 7 am. There were many restaurants in the area, which also aided in ability to return to the hotel in the evening without worry about where we would eat dinner. There was always someone at the front desk, if you needed something for the room or instructions to get somewhere. Overall, I would recommend the hotel based on price and location. This is especially true if you need quick access to Victoria Station for tours while you are in London. Just beware that you might get a very small room.

"Staff lovely"
Katie T, 24 Août 2017

We were in the annex, in a room that was larger than we expected. The beds were comfy, and the room clean. I saw the receptionist having to deal with awkward customers, and did an excellent job at trying to work out what they wanted. Would definitely stay again.

"Very nice stay"
Matteo B, 18 Août 2017

We stayed 3 nights in August 2017 and it was very pleasant! The hotel is located near Victoria station (10 minutes walking) and Westminster abbey (15 min walking). Our room was on the 4th floor of the annex building with an amazing view of the city (Big Ben and London Eye). We strongly recommend room number 39!!! The room was clean and comfortable. Quite and no noise at all! In the room you can breath the atmosphere of London. The only complain is that there is no elevator in the annex building but some physical exercise does not kill nobody!!

"Gorgeous room and fab location "
lmaccy19, 08 Août 2017

The room was absolutely lovely and was so close to everything! Local tube station just down the road which was brilliant. At check in the staff were very helpful, we did have to go across the road to a different building to our room but the staff were great and took the bags for us and showed us in well. It was brilliant as well as it was incredibly hot when we were in London and the air con was a great feature! Would definitely recommend

"An acceptable hotel near the Victoria Coach Station."
Stephen607, 05 Août 2017

The only reason to stay at this hotel is its proximity to the Victoria Coach Station. Our room was extremely small with no adequate area for a decent chair for reading. The lighting in the room was, however, very good and the bath room was large and highly acceptable. The front desk receptionists were courteous and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and they were indeed helpful in every possible way. Buffet breakfast was very well set up and really most adequate. Overall, I did not feel that this hotel was up to the usual Best Western standards.

"VERY GOOD HOTEL"
Consuelo G, 03 Août 2017

This is a very good hotel. We stayed in the annex. There is no elevator, but we were aware of that, so that wasn't a surprise. The hotel location is good. (It's close to Victoria Station which means that you have a tube stop and the train station close by). The room was nice and the bathroom had very nice modern finishes. The beds were comfortable. We did have one problem: The phone in our room was broken and although we let the front desk know, it was never repaired or replaced during our three night stay. If we needed to ask the front desk a question we had to either use our own cell phone, or walk across the street. I did pay for an international plan for our phones but that could be a real problem for some folks in an emergency, especially when you have to run down stairs and walk across the street. We did have breakfast one morning, it was nice. The reception desk gave us a great recommendation for an Indian food restaurant called Paradise, which was a five minute walk from the hotel. Excellent food.

"Good value"
Mike M, 03 Août 2017

Overall good value for money, excellent location for visiting tourist sights in London. Have stayed before but first time we have taken breakfast. This was very good with a good selection. As usual all staff very helpful and pleasant and would not hesitate to stay again.

"Cramped and noisy room"
Lynn S, 03 Août 2017

We stayed here one night. We were in the annexe and our room was up two flights of steep stairs (no lift) my 90 year old mother was with us luckily she is fairly fit! Our rooms were very cramped only room for one bedside table in ours. We were kept awake all night by a noise that sounded like a a washing machine on a full spin cycle. We complained the next morning, the guy on reception apologised half heartedly and offered us a free breakfast as compensation. We were attending an early wedding followed by brunch so didn't want breakfast at the hotel. No other compensation was offered.

"Really helpful staff and decent room"
Charlie L, 02 Août 2017

Rooms differ quite considerably from speaking to colleagues who also stayed at the same time. I pressed for a larger room with a desk as I had work to do, and ended up with a pretty tight double with a small desk area, which was at the top end of what they could offer, I think. But they were helpful in changing my original room to this one, which was up the road in an annexe, and carried my bags up there for me. Breakfast is in a basement restaurant like a lot of smaller London hotels, but very good value and choice. Staff were very accommodating and helpful.

"Everything perfect buttttt...."
Andrea L, 02 Août 2017

The staff was extremely friendly and kind, everything was so good until I saw a crocarache on my bed. Apart from that, I would recommend it. Very close from Victoria underground station. Good location and lots of restaurants and markets around the area.

"The highlight was the helpfulness of the front desk staff!"
Miriam D, 25 Juillet 2017

The hotel is very conveniently situated near Victoria Station and within walking distance to the Tate and Buckingham Palace. It has been recently refurbished and is very smart and clean. The room was small but adequate with a new bathroom and again spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good with a good range of cooked and continental items. The front desk staff were extremely helpful in managing our booking and helping us to book tours etc.

"Good cost benefit"
Paulo C, 24 Juillet 2017

Best western hotel is very well located, 20 minutes walk to the Buckingham palace for exemple. Although I must say that the rooms are extremely small and it has almost no space to put your luggage. Breakfast is average, not fancy. Good option if you are looking for a good cost benefit.

"Noisey room"
HbsLittlehampton, 24 Juillet 2017

We were given a room in the basement next to the breakfast room, dustbins and road. It was very noisy late at night and early morning. The room was modern and clean and staff were friendly so maybe other rooms are better.

"Nice place to stay"
LoveEurope411, 23 Juillet 2017

This is our second stay at the Best Western Victoria Palace. Actually both times we have stayed in the annex across the street. The rooms and bathrooms have been upgraded since our last stay two years ago. Great location and a reasonable price for London. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Rooms in he back have a view of Westminster and the London wheel. My only complaint is that there is no elevator. A stay on the third floor required four flights of stairs. Good exercise, but it could be a huge problem if you have mobility problems. However, even with the stairs we'll be back.

"Comfortable 10 night stay"
teinertone, 23 Juillet 2017

Two rooms for 10 nights in annex building - very good experience. Rooms are small but clean with good beds. Bathrooms are tiny but with nice finishes and good water pressure. Air conditioning was a big plus. Helpful staff. Excellent and safe location close to Victoria train/tube station and Victoria coach station; 10 minute or less walk to both. All you need is one block over on Wilton Street: Sainsbury grocery store, Pimlico Fresh for breakfast, SeaFresh for fish & chips. Many other restaurants too. Also enjoyed Marquis of Westminster and Uno Italian. So many pros; only one con: no elevator, which meant dragging luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Would definitely stay here again.

"Well located for sightseeing"
MungoDragons, 19 Juillet 2017

My son and I stayed here for 3 nights on a quick sightseeing visit to London. Our room was in the annex building and on checking in the receptionist helped us across the road with our bags and to our room. The room was a bit on the small side but good enough for our purposes and overall was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and we both slept quite well. Wi-fi worked well and the TV had a good range of channels. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the road which was nice. Noise wasn't a problem and we were not aware of others staying in the hotel so it felt quite private. The location is great - you can pretty much go on a walking tour from the front door and take in many of the key sights in the centre of London. There are also various shops and pubs in the area which was handy. We didn't try the hotel breakfast offering - instead we just picked up some basic items from one of the supermarkets nearby and on one morning we had breakfast at a pub up the road (St.Georges Tavern) which had a 2 for 1 full breakfast deal if you ate between 10am and noon (it was also a good spot for dinner). The hotel is easy walking distance from Victoria station - we caught the Gatwick Express train to get there and it all worked quite well. The hotel also has a luggage storage service which we used on our last day after checking out so we could see some more sights before we had to catch our flight home. Overall I was very happy and would definitely stay here again.

"I rarely give bad reviews but as a Trip Advisor I need to advise. "
sunnileo, 14 Juillet 2017

When we first arrived at the hotel I was greeted by a nice front desk and the room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable and nice. I was happy with the area surrounding the hotel. The next day my husband woke up with 2 big bites on his arm. We thought a mosquito got in the room or a spider had bit him and I shrugged it off. We went to breakfast which was very nice and I was happy with the morning. Throughout the day my husband became very itchy and was complaining that his skin was irritated. The bites started blistering. We went to the pharmacy up the street and got cortisone. We went to bed that night and in the morning my husband was really complaining and the bites looked worse and I started to worry it was bed bugs. I didn't have one bite on me so I thought it couldn't be. Well the second day more and more started happening on him. The original bites growing worse. The third morning we started thoroughly inspecting the bed. We found two tiny mites and googled bed bugs. They looked the same. We put them in a container and my husband went to the front desk. By this time he had over 20 welts on his body. The front desk told him that he would receive a refund. He came back and told me that yes it was bed bugs and we would be reimbursed. I was fine with that and quickly packed up my luggage and was terrified we were infested and I was taking them with us. We were halfway through our travels. When we checked out I was informed that no we were not receiving a full refund but a refund for one night, because according to the desk, "These things happen." I have never had this happen in all of my travels and neither has my husband. We went to the pharmacy after receiving a refund for one of three nights. The pharmacist was very informative, kind and considerate. She told us these bugs are discerning to what they feed on so that is why I was not affected. Reading about bed bugs, they can be contained to just one room so if you move they probably won't be in another. Well we got a bad room and I feel that a full refund should have been given. That would have been the right thing to do. My husband will have to see a doctor when we get back because his sores are still pretty bad after a week.

"Good value hotel in great location for city trip"
Amy B, 09 Juillet 2017

Stayed here for one night with two friends in a triple room. Was able to check in early which was fab. Room was a little small but was more than sufficient for our one night stay. Only a 5 min walk to victoria station which was great for travelling around the city. Also stored our luggage for us on our departure day which was an added bonus. Breakfast was good, but the dining area is very small but there was plenty of food available. Never stayed in a best western before but I would definately stay again considering the price we paid.

"Loved it!"
Sue F, 05 Juillet 2017

Great stay here. Booked a standard double for one night and got a suite! No complaints there so a good start. The room was clean, spacious and had all the things we needed including air conditioning which was very welcome as it was roasting. The bed was comfy and we both had a good night's sleep. A little bit noisy in the morning as our room was next to the lift. We couldn't hear the lift just the people waiting for it chatting etc. The breakfast was ace! Full English, continental, cerial, toast... Lots of choice and quality produce. All in all a great experience and we would definitely go again

"Close to Victoria Station"
Q6840RTtomc, 03 Juillet 2017

This hotel is located within a 15 minute walk to Victoria Station, making it easy to access the bus and subway systems. The hotel is within walking distance of most all major downtown attractions. The rooms are small, and breakfast was not included in price of room.

"Great!"
sdang88, 24 Juin 2017

First time staying at a Best Western hotel so didn't know what to expect really. I booked for 4 night for the Standard Annexe Double Bed. I checked into the main building then the guy offered to carry my suitcase to the other building where my room is at. Which is only 2/3 mins walk from the main building. It was really hot this week and so glad the room has air con! So put it on full blast! The double bed was really big actually! So comfy! Location wise was pretty close to restaurants / pubs and tube! Would stay here again!

"I expected better from Best Western"
Dianne R, 23 Juin 2017

Where to begin? Room 404 was tiniest hotel room I've ever had. Expected small because it is London, but this felt like a converted linen closet. I have to do Yoga stretches for my back and when I laid down in the floor, I could not stretch out full length. I am 5'3" tall. Only available floor space was about 4'. Bed was lumpy. Hard to adjust air conditioning because of room size; either freeze or stifle. Bed pushed up against the wall under the window. When I turned to my right side during the night, the window curtains slapped my face. When I got down in the floor to do my stretches, found a toenail. IT WASN'T MINE. The reason I didn't request a different room is that they originally planned to put me in the annex. It doesn't have a lift and I have a hard time with stairs. However, the elevator was out of commission twice and I got to walk up 4 flights of stairs after a long day of sightseeing. If you can tolerate a jail cell with basic amenities, then this is the room for you. But be sure you get a really good price to make it worthwhile.

"Good Location, Friendly Staff and Clean"
Hossein S, 02 Juin 2017

Me and My mother stayed there for 5 Nights, at checkin we found out Annex Building (our reservation) is actually apartment and it was the best for us. Big Room, Complete Kitchen (except dish washer and Washing Machine), Clean room and Beds, Small but good Bathroom. Location is 10 minute walk to Pimlico Metro Station. Santander City Bike Share Station is 2 minute walk. Grocery Store is in 1 minute walk. It was expensive but in comparison with other hotels in London, We recommend it. Hossein Shamloo, Tehran, Iran

"cramped room, tiny bathroom, paper thin walls"
RBadami, 30 Mai 2017

We booked a triple room in the annexe and got an ‘upgrade' the night we checked in. it was mentioned while booking that the annexe didn't have a lift so not much to say about that. This hotel has multiple buildings in the same area and only the main building has a lift as well as a reception. The room was spacious and meant to accommodate 4. Had a big bathroom. However it was in the corner of a basement with a window overseeing the sky and a wall. Had a fire door next to us whose glass was fully shattered although taped together and open almost always. Thought it was weird they didn't rectify this first given the hotel was undergoing renovation in the main building. Didn't give us a sense of security (especially with no reception in the building) being in a room like that and we requested to be moved to another room. This time we were in a triple room two floors up in the same building. As is the comment by many, the room is cramped, the bathroom unbelievably small. The shower stall is so tiny it makes you go grrrr. The walls are paper thin and we couldn't sleep till wee hours one night owing to a guest in the next room who was talking loudly. Despite bringing it twice to the notice of the reception in the other building nothing was done at that time and so we were offered a complimentary breakfast the next day. A safe, basic open shelves to hang clothes and kettle with tea/coffee sachets is provided. No complementary water however. Staff was prompt with other assistance like carrying luggage and booking a cab to the airport (going to heathrow by cab may workout the same as taking an uber to Paddington stn and then the Heathrow express) Convenient access to Victoria Station which is couple of min walk. Trains to Gatwick airport also leave from Victoria making it very easy for folks who are flying in and out from Gatwick. Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace are nearby. Though we enjoyed sightseeing London, our stay here was honestly very average.

"An expensive night sleep"
Peter S, 29 Mai 2017

We were accommodated in the annexe for four nights, in a room not much bigger than 3m x 3m where the majority of the area was occupied by the double bed pushed against a wall. I had to either climb over my wife or slide up the bed to actually lie down. Yes the bed was comfortable, the location is within an 8 minute walk to Victoria BUT...without an included breakfast, it cost me £718 for the four nights so if you must stay at this hotel, make sure you are NOT in the annexe.

"Very friendly, clean comfortable basic room and a very good breakfast"
Steven S, 23 Mai 2017

A one night stay at low cost (for London) and I was very pleasantly surprised. Hotel was clean and modern. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, good quality, laid out logically and cooked very well - and good coffee. The only downside to my room (605) was it was near a staff entrance, so there was quite a lot of noise from 6am, this was not such a problem to me as my alarm was set for 6.30 but for later risers could be a source of irritation. But I would definitely stay at this pleasant affordable hotel again.

"Small single room, but then it's London"
globetrekker728, 16 Mai 2017

Had a small single room for a couple nights, The hotel has multiple buildings in the same area, so make sure you find the main building to check-in, The room was nice and clean, just tiny. It's the perfect location to Victoria Station and the Gatwick Express. Nearby is a good walk to Westminster Abby, Buckingham Palace and the Victoria Theatre where Wicked is playing. Perfect area to do walk to the popular sites.

"Great Location in London, England"
David R, 16 Mai 2017

The room was very comfortable, and the staff was excellent in helping me with all my concerns. I loved that the hotel was located very close to Victoria Station - making it easy to get to any form of transportation to places I wanted to visit.

"Good location"
P S, 10 Mai 2017

Stayed in twin room which was in the annexe . It was small but compacted and had everything you needed out of a hotel room .it had been newly furnished. The location was 6minute walk from Victoria Stn .

"An amazing trip and stay "
Emanuelaonmars, 07 Mai 2017

Me and my friends stayed in the annex building and it was worth it! Our room was new, had new furnitures and an amazing bathroom with a huge shower; sheets were clean and beds were really comfy which I think it's the most important thing after a long and exhausting day spent visiting the city. We had an amazing stay since the structure is located five minutes on foot from Victoria station and about twenty mins from Westminster. I have been to London several times but it was the best one so far; if you are looking for a structure with a good relationship between quality and price I truly recommend this hotel, you won't regret it.

"Don't stay at the Annex"
Tizee, 19 Avril 2017

Where do I start? My room was in the annex ( this was mentioned when I made the booking) what was not mentioned was the flight of stairs I would need to carry my luggage down! Whew! Even remembering it gives me the jitters When I was leaving I asked for help with my luggage and the guy at the reception was very helpful. However, he got locked out of the main hotel reception in the process! It was a very affordable hotel considering the location. One might say I got what I paid for

"March 2107 stay at Best Western Victoria Palace"
Rob M, 06 Avril 2017

This was my first visit to London. I was traveling with my 24 year old son. We traveled to Victoria Station from London Heathrow Airport. The hotel is about an 8 minute walk from the station. The hotel is in a good area. I never felt unsafe at any time day or night. We arrived around 4pm. There were three employees at the front desk when we arrived. There was not waiting for check in. The hotel manager, Faizal assisted me. Faizal seems to be a no-nonsense professional innkeeper. He took the time to explain everything about the hotel. I was very pleased with the service he provided. The hotel is housed in an older building. The inside of the hotel has been recently remodeled. The lobby was clean and in good order. The elevator (lift) is located in the lobby and there is room for more than one person and luggage. If you have never been to Europe, this is not always the case. The corridors of the hotel were narrow. Our room was on the second floor. The room was neat, clean, and recently remodeled. I thought the shower was a little small but it was more than adequate. The only thing not knew in the room was the windows. The bathroom window had an old fashion roll down shade that was pretty beat up. I thought it was out of place in the nicely remodeled room. I had been told about the small hotel rooms in Europe in advance. If you are expecting an American sized hotel room you will be disappointed. Our room had a twin bed and a full bed (both very comfortable). The room was small but it was more than adequate for our needs. We were there on a tourist vacation. We left our room early in the morning and we returned at night. We had no issue with internal or external noise at the hotel. I paid for the breakfast when I booked the room. The breakfast room is also a small area located one level below the lobby. The hot breakfast items were the same every day. The hot items were British bacon, sausage, fried eggs, boiled eggs, plain omelet, and the breakfast beans. There was a variety of baked goods and breads. The breakfast was 12.50 pounds a day. The next morning, we passed a pub on the way to Victoria Station which advertised a full breakfast for about 6 pounds. Save your money and eat at the pub. We were at the hotel five nights and had a very pleasant stay. Check out was quick since I had paid for the room in advance.

"GREAT LODGING IN LONDON"
807randallf, 06 Avril 2017

BW Victoria Palace is one of BW's better properties. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the Wi-fi works as it should. It is located within easy walking distance from Victoria Station, and close to restaurants.

"Upgraded"
megajodie, 05 Avril 2017

Booked this hotel purely due to the location close to a dinner and dance event that I had to attend. My partner and I were upgraded to a suite upon arrival, the check in was fast and smooth and we were escorted out of the building and a little further up the street to what I assume is an annex. We were suitably impressed but could not make the most of it due to the fact that our stay was so short. We only had the opportunity to get ready and sleep in the suite so I would definitely like to come back and enjoy the full experience

"Overnight stay"
k4zdh, 03 Avril 2017

6 family members booked 2 triple rooms. Both rooms were clean had tea coffee and shower facilities somewhere to hang clothes and place clothes in, a bit on the small side but didn't cause any problems. Breakfast was £12.50 presented nice and tasted nice, could help yourself to all breakfast foods and drinks. All staff where polite and helpful given maps and advice. The hotel is minutes walk away from Victoria Coach and Train station. Overall an enjoyable stay would recommend and stay again.

"MIDWEEK ONE NIGHT STAY"
SATSJT, 30 Mars 2017

Upon arriving the greeting from the 2 reception staff was superb, they clearly explained about the hotel and its rooms and the breakfast times. A great meeting after a train journey and the short walk from Victoria station. A very short stay near to Victoria station, a very clean and mostly newly refurbished hotel (some rooms in the annexe were being refurbished). We asked to stay in the main building and spent our night in a spotless room with high quality fittings, a small but well planned bathroom, lots of soaps and fluffy towels etc. A built in safe was included and a wall mounted tea and coffee station wired in very neatly. All in all a very pleasant room and we were comfortable in it. Breakfast was very good in a very well planned breakfast buffet room, with both hot 'full english breakfast' and cold 'continental' food available for self service, very good. All in all, very recommendable for a short stay in London within easy reach of the underground and bus sevices with superb service from both day and night staff. Congratulations to them all.

"Good Hotel!"
Teoni B, 24 Novembre 2016

This hotel was a great find. Cheaper than alot of others in the area! It wasnt the biggest room which is normal for London but was big enough to sleep in, as you're out exploring every day! It was a 5 minute walk from Victoria station, which was great! Right near a whole bunch or resturants and shops, and really close to the Apollo Theatre if you're interested in seeing Wicked the Muscial. They also have shampoo and body wash in the shower and sink ready for you, and it smells so good. The bed was super comfy and there was coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast was amazing but very expensive. Would definitly stay again!

"The smallest hotel room in the world??"
richardposty, 23 Novembre 2016

Avoid room 404. Refuse the key if you are given it. I could have opened the room door from the furthest corner in the room. At over 6feet tall I could not sleep straight out. And don't even try to sit down on the loo - impossible. And all for £125 per night, excluding breakfast. Come on guys, I know it's London but that really is taking the....

"Terribly tiny and dirty room"
Anna J, 20 Novembre 2016

We stayed in the best western annex building, and were allotted a room on the 4th floor. To start with, there is no elevator in the building and we had to lug our bags up 4 floors to get to the room. The room was extremely tiny and dirty. The bed ( not sure if I can even call it that) was unstable and the linen looked old and dirty. The room floor was rickety and we could hear the people in the next room walk around their room. We could even hear their conversation! Thought it was terrible for the price we paid. The only upside to this hotel is the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. 5 stars to them, but no amount of good service can cover for the dismal conditions of the room. Would not recommend.

"Excellent location, reasonable price, friendly staff"
TheP0wells, 13 Novembre 2016

This was our first visit to London, so we wanted a reasonably priced hotel close to Victoria Station (we were coming in from Bristol by coach) and to London transportation. This small hotel is located ten minutes maximum walk from Victoria coach and train stations, as well as the underground. Given the price of most central London hotels, it was excellent value. The room was small but comfortable, although somewhat overheated, which we solved by kicking off the blankets. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, as we found a nice restaurant up the street that served a full brekkie at half the price. The staff were pleasant and helpful, providing us with maps and directions and other tips much appreciated by first time visitors. There is also a computer in the lobby from which one is able to do on-line checkin for flights, which is a nice touch. We would certainly stay here again if we go back to London.

"Avoid !!!"
jfsep, 09 Novembre 2016

Hotel location is ideal just a short walk to Victoria station. Room was in basement right next to a toilet and kitchen , breakfast room. Very noisy would get woken up at 6am with kitchen and breakfast room noise. Room wasn't very clean and half of the light fittings didn't work. I would not class this hotel as a 3 star, very dated and over priced for what you get. I would not stay here again

"Mother son weekend (saterday-tuesday)"
Yvonne N, 09 Novembre 2016

My son (4 year) and I stayed from 5-8 nov 2016. We had a nice room (201). Friendly people! And 5 minutes walk from Victoria station. There is a pub across the street were you can stay for a drink and diner (also very friendly staff). The breakfast in the hotel was very good (croissant, toast, english breakfast, yoghurt) I found it a bit expensive (€12,50 a day). In the morning there was no warm water (sometimes we had warm water for a few minutes) so best thing to do is shower in the evening ??. We had a very pleasent stay in this hotel!

"Good for one night"
Vacaro777, 03 Novembre 2016

This is very small hotel, i had to book a room for my nephew to by close to my hotel. I would recommend for one night stop by in London. Room is too small just like most hotels around for the same price. If this what you looking for this would be your place. The hotel management could do a better job " Skill their receptionist" to SMILE rather than making us fell like we are here to off our debit!!!!! If was too obvious she hated to work their!!!!! Not knowing there are too many hotel close by? It would be better if they can leave the keys at drop box by the room! Never go back! I would pay a little more and stay at close by hotel.

"Best Western Victoria Palace"
Carly R, 30 Octobre 2016

We stayed at this Best Western for 3 nights in London. The hotel is just down the street from the Victoria train station which was very convenient. The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. Our room was literally behind the front desk, so it could get a little noisy some nights with drunk people coming back to the hotel late. It wasn't really an issue though. You can buy the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus tickets from the hotel front desk as well. There was a breakfast downstairs in the mornings. The room can get quite crowded as it's not too big, but the breakfast is very good. I would recommend this hotel for sure!

"Great location, rooms vary"
PriscillaJo, 22 Octobre 2016

You really can't beat the convenience of a 10 minutes walk to a major train station Victoria, with trains and coach options to London City, airport and other parts of UK. Many restaurants and cheaper eating options within walking distance. We felt safe, despite walking around late at night or early morning around the hotel vicinity. The rooms are basic and small. We stayed 6 nights in two different rooms, one at the annex and the other in the main building. The room at the annex required us to climb 4 flight of stairs to our room but staff will volunteer to bring your luggages across the road to the annex and up the flights of stairs. The room in the annex was cold, despite heaters. We dreaded talking showers because of the small bath cubicle and cold coming through glass window in the bathroom. We stayed in the main building on request for the last 3 nights. Despite the basic room, this time, the room was warmer, the bathroom and cubicle was larger and comfortable. Plus no stairs to climb. Bed was queen size for both rooms. We enjoyed early check in an hour before check in time and one hour late check out.

"Mmmmm...I've Definitely Stayed In Better But the Staff Was Nice"
danielleeu9, 21 Octobre 2016

Stayed here for 3 nights (in a 2 person room). The rooms are tiny, which I was expecting, but the bathrooms are CRAZY SMALL! Had to dress in the shower because there was no room anywhere else in the bathroom! We could hardly keep the bathroom door closed when just standing by the sink. I know bathrooms are smaller in Europe, but I have been in Europe on 3 occasions and this was the smallest bathroom I had ever seen! My overall rating for the hotel because of its cramped quarters would have been lower, however I upped their rating because the staff here was very good. Our party got in early at 9am and they went to the computers to try and get us rooms as quickly as possible. They had 1 out of 3 rooms we booked that they could get us into in a matter of minutes and the other 2 they said we could just leave our luggage with them and they would take it to our rooms as soon as they were ready so we could go and explore London. When we got back from our day out our luggage was ready and waiting in our rooms for us. That service was genuinely helpful and really appreciated. Overall, I would say, there are better places to stay...but this place will do in a pinch. And the people who work there at least make it better if you do find yourself staying there.

"Do not stay in the annexe"
Lyn B, 13 Octobre 2016

As a female traveller to London on a work trip travelling alone, when booking into the hotel I was advised I was in 'the annexe', a building out of the hotel, across the road about 100 metres and down a side street. The annexe is a house converted into hotel bedrooms with no hotel staff on site. The whole point of booking into a well known chain to stay is to provide secure and safe accommodation and, staying away from the main hotel without any staff, this was not provided. Coming back later in the evening I felt vulnerable going down the dark street only to find I couldn't get in the house as my hotel card had been deactivated! The hotel need to find a way of advising people that they will be staying away from the main hotel because the whole experience was poor due to this.

"Ideal for London"
John C, 13 Octobre 2016

This is a smart hotel. Although the room we stayed in was small it was high spec. Attention to detail throughout the hotel. There is a busy junction outside even though the hotel is in a 'residential' area with plenty of place to eat close by the traffic could keep you awake.

"Good Location"
Andrew_Thomas_2015, 12 Octobre 2016

Staying here you have a great location to start your exploring of central London. Only fifteen minutes walk to Victoria Station, we're you can get the tube to most parts of London. The hotel staff here are very friendly and helpful. If you get breakfast here you will not be disappointed, with a good selection of hot and cold food items. The only downside is the size of the rooms. They tend to be on the small size, but there again you won't be staying in the room all the time. The room we were in the storage was a little cramped. Bathroom was fine. Overall a nice place to stay if you want quick access to center London.

"Location Location"
ajwalsh61, 09 Octobre 2016

Found this hotel using google maps. The location to Victoria train and bus stations is only 6 minutes walk. There are plenty of restaurants close and a pub on the corner opposite, a small 24 hour shop straight across the road and a Sainsburys supermarket only minutes walk away. The staff are very friendly. Our room was bigger than we expected for London, it was cleaned daily and quite, has 5 nights of good sleep after big days sightseeing.

"Nice hotel nearby Victoria Station"
Lena L, 09 Octobre 2016

Had a nice stay at the hotel. Good service. Just a few minutes walk from Victoria station, so a very central location. consists of a annex close to the reception. Some local pubs and restaurants in the area.

"Good value"
smudge115, 03 Octobre 2016

We were a bit nervous when we turned up as the outside of the hotel is a bit shabby. We were told we were not in the main building and taken to the Annex which is a property a few doors down. We were on the ground floor and basically had an apartment. There was a decent sized bedroom, full kitchen (Kettle, toaster, fridge, cooker etc) and living room and downstairs was the bathroom. Also, good air conditioning. The only disappointment was the shower which alternated between drizzle and weird pulsing. Shame because the rest of the room was fab. It was noisy in the morning and there was work being done on the rest of the Annex. The hotel is brilliantly situated. Walking distance from Victoria Station and very central. There are good restaurants etc nearby. The price we paid for the room was very low but were told by the manager that we had been upgraded and unlikely to get it for that price again. This is a simple, clean hotel - You get what you pay for. Ideal as a base if you aren't going to be spending much time in the hotel.

"bed bug infestation"
Judy D, 02 Octobre 2016

Stayed 4 nights from 22 to 26 September. On the 25th I found a bed bug crawling on my pillow. I crushed it and blood came out. Management did not seem surprised and told me there had recently been a problem in the next room. I was moved to another room for the final night. Staff were very apologetic and said they do their best, but bugs are brought in by guests. I was given a discount but not a full refund. Since then, I have had a severe reaction to the bites I received and I have had to take expensive and time-consuming actions to try to prevent bringing the bed bugs into my house. The stress caused has been terrible and will not be over soon. The hotel has a duty to protect guests and since they knew there was a problem should have been more vigilant.

"Affordable hotel, quiet & clean"
ChspkeGirl65, 01 Octobre 2016

Good hotel for the money in Pimlico area of London. Within reasonable walking distance to Victoria Station and also only about a mile from Westminster Abbey & bridge, Big Ben, the Eye, etc. Room was small & bathroom was really small, but it was clean and quiet and we didn't spend much time in there but to sleep and shower. Good for the price - $156 per night on Expedia and that included a wonderful breakfast each morning!! Best deal I could find for central London. Wi-fi was good and the front desk staff very helpful. Seemed like a very safe neighborhood too.

"Good location and quiet"
daviskirstin, 30 Septembre 2016

Located a 5 minute walk from Victoria station this hotel is split into different annexes. The administration at reception was smooth and they told me everything I needed to know and more. I was escorted over to the annex and shown to my room. The room was clean and well equipped and quiet. It was however a little expensive. In the annex there was a long climb to the room which was at the top of the building, so it would be difficult for people with mobility problems. However the staff were very willing to help to carry luggage etc.

"Good"
TJ E, 25 Septembre 2016

The room was really small. But it was clean, the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable so what more do you need. It is really close to public transport which is handy and is a nice walk down to the london eye and other attractions.

"Gem of a hotel within walking distance of London attractions."
sylvianbm7, 20 Septembre 2016

I stayed at this hotel from 12 th to 15 th September 2016. The room was clean, not large as British hotels are basically converted from what were once town homes. There was a TV, a hot pot to make coffee or tea, free Wi-fi and as it was very hot we were happy to have airconditioning. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous, every variety of egg, fried, scrambled, omelette, bacon, sausage, baked beans, tomatoes, croissants, toast, jam, cereals, orange juice and a machine that had every variety of coffee to choose from, cappuccino, expresso, mocha etc A wonderful way to fuel up before a day of sightseeing. There was daily maid service and the beds were so comfortable. I have a bad back but slept like a log! Definitely would recommend this hotel and I will be returning!

"Tiny, dingy single room"
Paul B, 18 Septembre 2016

Smallest room I've ever seen in a hotel, hardly enough room to stand. "Desk" was approximately15cm deep - not big enough to place a laptop on. Every time guests upstairs walked about it was extremely loud. And, not well maintained. Walking distance to Victoria station. Stay away at all costs.

"Great Staff and stay"
Wayne C, 12 Septembre 2016

If you want to see all London's sights then stay here. Great location near Victoria station so could get anywhere quickly by tube. Arrived early at11am and allowed to check in but if weren't then would have allowed us to leave luggage. Did leave luggage on last day until 5pm without charge. Rooms clean and modern and daily maid service. Couldn't eat there do to wife's dietary requirements but plenty of places nearby with authentic London community feel.

"Convenient"
Mary B, 10 Septembre 2016

This was a very clean hotel in an excellent position for shopping or sight seeing. The twin room although small was comfortable , clean and quiet . It was just a few minutes walk from the tube and bus station. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of both cooked and cold things in very pleasant surroundings. The hotel did not offer evening meals and as we were late arrivals we needed to eat. There was several pubs serving food in the local area and also a few at the tube station

"Standard"
Andrew H, 09 Septembre 2016

Booked this one for the location only, very high price but walking distance from the places we wanted to be. Wasn't expecting much, rooms small but clean with a good shower and nice breakfast. Staff were very helpful at all times. If looking for luxury this isn't your place, good base of operations though.

"Great location and value"
Lisa B, 06 Septembre 2016

My friend and I just returned from a cruise where we had a one night stay before and after in London. On the way there we stayed in another hotel and on the way home we stayed at Best Western Victoria Palace. So my review is not only based on general experience but I am also comparing to the hotel we stayed before the cruise which was a block from this hotel. Staff at this hotel was so friendly and helpful. Immediately on stepping in the lobby I felt welcomed and cared for. We checked in early so our room was not ready but they took our luggage up to our room anyway and in less than an hour it was ready for us. Beds in the hotel were very comfortable. After sleeping for 7 nights on the hard cruise ship mattresses - sleeping on this bed was a pleasure! Breakfast was much better than expected and way better than our other hotel. They had both hot and cold choices. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel. Victoria Station is very convenient and this is the hotel to choose when staying there!

"Tidy little number… but no alcohol"
Delbongo, 04 Septembre 2016

For a hotel that's barely 10 minutes' walk from Victoria train station, the Best Western Victoria is affordable, clean as a whistle and perfect for people visiting London only fleetingly. The staff are exceptionally helpful and the rooms are small but very clean and compact. You won't want to chill in your room for too long (the TV is very small and there's very little space to move around) but you're in the middle of London! Go for a wander. It's amazing how many hotels in central London cut too many of the important corners, but the Best Western isn't one of them. It's a terrific budget hotel for those that aren't looking for needless frills. Our complimentary milk (for the tea and coffee) curdled instantly so it appeared to be out of date, but that aside we had no complaints. Great hotel. NOTE: Don't head back to your hotel late and expect to pick up a beer or some wine on your way. Westminster council have barred the purchase of alcohol past 11pm. Pretty daft really, but be prepared for that.

"Very nice accommodations"
KathiM17, 03 Septembre 2016

We are ending a 3 night stay and have been very pleased. As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are small, but have all that we need . Was pleasantly surprised that our double room has a king sized bed. Bathroom is adequate size, big fresh towels every day, room cleaned well. Has a small lift and the a/c works well. Is in a great neighborhood, just a 5 minute walk from Victoria Station and lots of nice restaurants nearby. Breakfast has lots of selections. Another plus is that it is quiet at night. Very pleased with our stay.

"Good location and price!"
AlliCatBlues, 01 Septembre 2016

Easy late check in. Friendly and helpful staff. They were able to arrange a taxi to pick us up in the morning to get to the airport. Room was way better than expected. Modern room with 2 single beds and a queen. We were expecting 1 single and a double. Victoria station is a easy 10 min walk. Bus stops and restaurants near by as well. Would definitely stay again.

"Good enough "
bego l, 25 Août 2016

We booked a twin room. All the rooms are a bit small, but if you're going to spend the day visiting the city there's no need for more! The rooms are clean and they have a well equiped bathroom. There's a TV in every room, but there are only english tv channels. There is also WiFi which runs good. Something i miss? A little fridge. We wanted to buy something to keep with us in the room, but there's no fridge here... a real pity. In few words: a small, nice hotel with nice people and comfortable enough for the tourist.

"Good hotel for the price in the Victoria area"
hootsmon2015, 25 Août 2016

Reception on afternoon 25 July was extremely helpful. Room was clean and normal size for this part of London. It is conveniently within easy walking distance of Victoria station. There is also a good selection of restaurants and pubs nearby. The hotel is modern and well cared for. However on the negative side the breakfast was nothing to talk about. And for those who are coming with lots of luggage please make sure when booking that you are in the main building where there is a lift and not in the annex where you have to use the narrow stairs with no-one to assist you.

"Good Stay"
borealis_boi, 24 Août 2016

Was very happy with my stay at this hotel. Stayed in the annex with a double bed and a single. Rooms are modern and the air conditioning worked well. Enjoyed the area of town and was very easy walk to Victoria station. Good value given the prices of hotels in London.

"Very close to Victoria Station"
Evelyn S, 17 Août 2016

I stayed one night in this hotel and I would stay again. It is about 8 minutes walk from Victoria Station. The room was on the small side, however as I was at a conference during the day I was only sleeping in the room. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

"Great location, nice ammenities"
lyeager, 16 Août 2016

The location for this hotel can't be beat - it is about a 10 min walk from Victoria Station in central London. (Maybe a bit longer if you have a lot of luggage to haul.) We unfortunately had only a short stay, but it would have been fine for longer. And the price is great if you go with the no-breakfast option.

"The Best Western Victoria Palace exceeded my expectations!"
SoosanL, 15 Août 2016

Just returned from a 4 day stay in London with my family! The Best Western Victoria Palace exceeded my expectations! Location: The location is FANTASTIC! Very central, easy to get to by tube and the neighborhood is buzzing - full of restaurants, shops and cafes. Hotel: Hotel is quaint, very well maintained, clean and has a small personal feel. The beds are comfortable and the rooms bright and cozy! We had a family room and it was perfect! Staff: The staff of the hotel are AMAZING! They are very friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make your stay wonderful! This is the perfect hotel for families and I look forward to my next stay!

"Great Stay at The Best Western Victoria Palace"
Healthtrainer, 13 Août 2016

Not long back from an excellent stay at the Best Western Victoria Palace. The staff are brilliant there so friendly and helpful especially Rahim, The Manager and his co workers Murad and Lori. The rooms are very clean and beds comfortable. Lovely fluffy white towels in the bathroom and loved the toiletries, body washes and shampoos can be so bland in hotels but not here. Breakfast great with plenty of choice and again staff lovely and friendly and quick to clear away. The location was very central and just a 7 minute walk from both rail and bus station. Would definitely stop here again.

"Good value"
bfuller485, 30 Juillet 2016

We had 2 rooms and stayed for 2 nights on a theatre weekend break. Convenient location, small clean rooms and friendly staff. We stayed in the main building but were out and about most of the time - for our needs this was a perfect stay. Would definitely stay again!

"Small and friendly"
MPounder, 25 Juillet 2016

Stayed for 4 nights for trips into central London to meet up with friends. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room/bathroom clean, bed comfy. Usual amenities, more than adequate for our purposes. Weather very hot during stay, air con very effective, though at night had to have window open and a lot of traffic noise. However no restaurant or bar, but Marquis of Westminster pub opposite excellent food and drink. A cheaper, and excellent, breakfast available at the Cafe Mignon only a minute walk away. For evening meals plenty of choice in area.

"Good, clean hotel "
physette, 24 Juillet 2016

We were very happy with our stay at the Best Western Victoria Palace. We stayed in the main building. The breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, and there was AC in the rooms and an elevator. The rooms were small, but that's what you'd expect for London. The hotel is also a 5 minute walk to Victoria Station which was very convenient. The only thing we didn't like was the recommendations from the hotel front desk. They arranged tour bus tickets with Golden Tours, on which we had a terrible experience. Their restaurant recommendation also wasn't too great, we did much better searching out food on our own.

"Small but convenient"
58Tinlady, 23 Juillet 2016

The rooms are a little tiny but they will do since one is out and about all day any how. It's nice and clean. Did not pay for the breakfast which for the price should be included. It's a great location close to the train and bus stations.

"Tidy but small "
Jup_travel, 22 Juillet 2016

Hotel is 10 mins from Victoria. Hotel has a main building and an annex building over the road. What's good -Location - situated about 10 min walk from Victoria it's a great base to explore London -staff- Check in was welcoming , very efficient and I was in my room within 10 mins -clean and tidy - I stayed in an annex room which was very clean very tidy and modern. Think travelodge standard. What's not so good - Rooms are small - this really does need to be just your base. The rooms are small, barely enough room to walk around your bed . - hot- because the rooms are small and packed in the place does get hot. Although the room has air conditioning it's noisy so you have to balance heat with noise! -price- I paid £109 for the night room only. For London this is ok but in the rest of the uk this is a £60 per night hotel. -noisy - lots of noise and banging in the rooms around me. I think this is partially because if you are in the annex there is no reception or staff so it feels like you are on your own . -few facilties - this is basic hotel with rooms and a breakfast room. Overall all. Trip advisor allows you to score "Average" of "Very Good" , actually this is somewhere in between but def more average than very good. The rooms are modern , clean and tidy which for me is more important that size which is small. But over £100 for a hotel with no facilities is a lot, If I had paid £75 or £80 per night I would say it was excellent .

"Best Wwestern London, Victoria Palace"
Q314UJteresab, 21 Juillet 2016

The location is a 7 minute walk to Vistoria Station,,,,,The front desk staff are great.....The A/C works really good and so does the WIFI.......But the room is extremely small. the bathroom is worse ...The rooom is clean......The bed is the worst I ever slept on in my life.....If you can handle the bed and shower its NOT bad....lots of great little eating places very near by....great pub across the street.....It less money that The Grovesnor but it sstill not that cheap.....

"Great location, tiny room"
RWeaver54, 20 Juillet 2016

Stayed here in May,2016. Staff were helpful, room was clean, and small. We're talking cruise ship room small. Stayed for three nights and found it to be all we needed. Breakfast was included and very good. Included both hot and cold buffets. Hotel we a two block easy walk to Victoria Station were all of London was accessible using the tube. Would stay here again. Close to several pubs and nice restaurants.

"Convenient hotel close to Victoria station"
Aggie83, 20 Juillet 2016

After we took a National Express Bus from Heathrow airport to Victoria Coach station, we could easily find this hotel from the station. My wife was enough active to see around the area, while I had no energy to check the area. There were grocery stores around the area and also #24 bus stop available. It was very convenient to go to Trafalgar Sq via Westminster Abbey.

"Loved it had the one bed appt "
lilhobo, 19 Juillet 2016

We were in a one bed appt in the annex. Clean, large and well equipped. Really close to restaurants takeaways and has a little shop on the corner. 2 TV's kitchen and new bathroom. Was so nice will stay again! 5 mins from Victoria Station

"Great location and friendly staff"
Vicky O, 19 Juillet 2016

Stayed here for three nights. Great location a 5 minute walk from Victoria station. Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and a good size. Air con was lovely as it was very hot in London during my stay. Didn't have the breakfast as I preferred to grab something on the go.

"Great Stay"
Lindsey H, 16 Juillet 2016

This was a perfect choice for a girl's weekend! Location was perfect, the staff friendly, and the rooms comfy! Our A/C broke the first night we were there and the staff was very apologetic and helpful. When they couldn't fix the A/C quickly, they moved us into a new room and gave us a free breakfast one morning. On our last day they watched our luggage so we could explore a little bit more and get the most out of our trip. The rooms are small, but for just a place to rest your head in between exploring London this is a great place and I highly recommend it!!

"HOTEL"

"Palace? Don't think so"

When is a hotel not a hotel? When it's a series of annexes! Check in OK and I used the TripAdvisor room tip of saying I didn't want the basement room I was offered.Settled for a ground floor one - but as many guests find out it was down the street to an annex which resembled a small house. The room was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in ( and I have even stayed in hotel staff rooms!) Not convinced Best Western are checking on standards effectively - curtains didn't reach the window sill but did hide the view - a brick wall. Got a stiff neck trying to watch the wall mounted TV glad it had more than the six channels listed in the in room info! Amazed they could fit toilet, shower and wash basin in the bathroom at least there was very little floor to clean. Positives? Well it was clean and towels were soft. Phone signal poor although wifi free. Won't ever go back - just glad the company was paying although will ask them not to use the same agency for hotel bookings if this is the best they can come up with. Best Western also gets my thumbs down won't be using any of their properties based on this experience.

"Excellent location"
Murray P, 06 Juillet 2016

Close to Victoria Station. Within easy walking distance of Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Hyde park and the rest of Westminster. Room was clean and comfy with shower, tea/coffee and WiFi. Room was rather small, but fine for a day or two stay.

"Extremely pricey and Small"
GemmaP31, 05 Juillet 2016

A large group of us stayed here for two nights, however we were not in rooms next to each other...with some even staying in the annex! Reception is very clean and modern and doesn't fit in well with the rest of the building. The room we had (106) was tiny! for £268 it was not worth the money. Room very narrow, bathroom was the smallest i've ever seen, we had to sit on the toilet sideways as the sink was blocking the way, the shower door did not close and to dry yourself you needed to go out of the bathroom. Beds we comfy and clean except one of our friends had ants crawling all over her bed on the last day. Hotel is noisy, could hear everything above us. The best thing about this hotel is the location, but would not stay here again

"Clean and new rooms"
melccc111, 01 Juillet 2016

Well furnished room. Walkways and staircases are a little tight so travelers with big luggages will have issues. Then again upon check in one of the staffs helped us with ours. Grateful for that. Almost 10 min walk from Victoria station. Along the way there's cafes, restaurants, William hills, pharmacies and a supermarket. Convenient area.

"Walk away unless you are really stuck with no plan for the night !"
omairal64, 30 Juin 2016

I spent 3 nights in the hotel or should I say in the annex of the hotel. That was the first bad surprise. You need to go to another building not that far but still... The rooms are probably the smallest ones I have ever seen albeit I had a double one ! I do not even mention the bathroom where 2 people cannot fit at the same time. I was on the foor flour with not elevator... The bad quality was not good and the rooms are hyper, hyper noisy ! I did not put horrible as the global rate because the location is quite good in London, the breakfast was ok and wifi connection works fine. My conclusion would be that I won't go back there not even with family for a short stay in London. I'm sure we can fine something better for cheaper.

"Ideal base for our London trip"
Julesglass1977, 29 Juin 2016

Nice place, rooms clean we stayed in the annex which was fine, good central location. Breakfast a little expensive so glad we had it included in the price. For us was perfect for our needs a place to sleep and use as our base for our London trip. It was a 5 minute walk from Victoria station and from there so much is just a short walk away, would definitely use again.

"Central location."
Tom20152015, 28 Juin 2016

Very clean room. Staff were very helpful. Hot breakfast was fantastic ! Excellent WiFi. The first room had a very small bathroom was very small, so they moved us. The mattress springs were protruding, so they covered it with a duvet. Usually the manager hides in a back room, but this gentleman sits right up front. He was very helpful in booking a river cruise.

"Close to the show we were there to see."
philrita_fawkes, 17 Juin 2016

The rooms were ok but need up grading beds were clean , staff were friendly and helpful but felt there was room for improvement on the hotel side. We felt that the hotel was in a good position for the shows and easy access to Buckingham Palace and other places you wanted to visit.

"Beware hotel Annexes"
Kathleen B, 16 Juin 2016

Some of the rooms are in 2 separate annexes across the street that don't have elevators. You have to walk back to the main building for breakfast, talk to reception , pick up newspaper. If you are a solo traveler no one is noting when you come and go. My room was in the basement where the hall lights only come on if activated by a sensor. Felt like I was in a hole. I am a single traveler over 65 and this was a completely inappropriate place to be placed. The room wasn't secure and could be easily entered through the window, from the street. The building was card access but the back entrance had been propped open to the outside. There was a sewer smell from the shower drain. The shower door had been removed and there was no shower curtain. Drinking glasses were not provided. The lights over the sink in the bathroom didn't work. One light over the bed lights didn't work. I requested a quiet room but there was lots of street noise from above on the sidewalk. At check out I gave the reception a list of 9 things that needed attention and negotiated 50% of it was the least they could do for the worst stay in London The staff were good, room was clean and modern. Within walking distance of Victoria Station, Gatwick express and the London tube station.

"Just one night thankfully"
Annette C, 15 Juin 2016

Stayed at the Best Western Victoria Palace last night. I was put in the annex in room three. The room is in the basement of a building across the road from the hotel. The curtains to a very small window was drawn and I know why because it looks at a wall in a small recess of another building which is scattered with litter and rubbish. The room is very small and unfortunately it is also extremely noisy. You hear everyone coming and going and showering. The room is reasonably clean ( stained carpets, damp walls) but there is an unpleasant odour in the bathroom. I was only here for one night but I will not be coming back to room 3 of the annex of the Best Western Victoria Palace.

"Absolutely nice & clean – but maybe overpriced?"
Limpydog, 15 Juin 2016

A nice experience all the way: A friendly welcome from a reception packe with smiling emplyees. Clean rooms – but would've loved to see a fridge. Convenient location only a 7 minute walk from Victoria Station. And a very, very good breakfast with all you need. Nice staff. But I am sure we could have found better options for thwe price we paid.

"Good location"
Chris C, 10 Juin 2016

I accidentally booked the room at the Annex building (on Belgrave St) instead of the main hotel located on Warwick, but the wonderful manager was kind enough to accommodate us at the main hotel. Thank you again! The room was small but clean. The air con was very good. It served our purpose to wash up and sleep in. Please bear in mind that most of the hotels in London are small. I couldn't be happier with the location. By the American standard, it is only about 2 blocks away from the Victoria train station & Metro. You can easily walk to some of the top attractions ie) Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Harrod's (anywhere from 15-25 minutes). P.S. We have now completed our grand Europe tour and looking back, the room doesn't seem that small anymore when I compare it to the hotels in Venice and Rome.

"very nice experience"
samsharma1303, 03 Juin 2016

i stayed there for five days, it was very good experience . room was neat and clean . the staff was very humble and caring, they took care of each and every need of yours. very fine experience.the food was really awesome espcially chicken in white sauce with chickpeas. i tried some indian dishes also they were also good. the best thing was there hospitality.

"Great service"
Denise S, 02 Juin 2016

Hotel was clean and tidy, staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were maintained everyday. Pillows were very hard but other than that everything was very comfortable. Free WiFi worked excellently.

"Great Place - Great Location"
keithoflondon, 31 Mai 2016

I found this hotel on Best Western's UK website. We were warmly greeted when we arrived. The staff could not have been more helpful. My wife needed to see a physician upon arrival and the front desk staff pointed us to a nearby medical clinic. The staff were so considerate. The room was small, but that is to be expected in an English hotel. It was very clean and the bathroom was recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is very quiet. The hotel is located in Pimlico near the Victoria Station (the tube, coaches, and the National rail). One is a short walk to Buckingham Palace. There are lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. The breakfasts are fantastic at this hotel. The food is superior in quality. We were there for a week and were so very well taken care of by everyone.

"Pleasant Experience"
Kitty A, 31 Mai 2016

The BW Victoria Palace was neat, clean, cool, and overall a great experience while traveling abroad. During my stay, I made request for several items; each item was provided by pleasant and willing staff!

"Great location visiting London "
KKelly41, 31 Mai 2016

Brought my daughter on a surprise trip to London for her 16th birthday. We were arriving into Gatwick early morning so wanted to get the gatwick express into Victoria so chose this hotel as its closeby. Literally walked 10 mins with our wheelie suitcases to the hotel. Don't bother with a cab!! Check in not until 2pm I think but at 11am our room was ready. Lovely and clean ground floor bedroom in main hotel. Double bed for me and a single for my daughter. Tea/coffee in room. Great shower. Couldn't fault it breakfast was excellent too the usual juices cereals hot breakfast pastries etc. The location of the hotel is fantastic 20min leisurely walk to Buckingham palace and Big Ben etc. Some nice restaurants bars in the area in particular Uno Italian on the corner. Sainsburys round the corner if you need any essentials. Will definitely be staying here when visiting London again.

"Consistant quality, cleanliness and service"
521JonathanG, 31 Mai 2016

Our annual stay in London was as comfortable and trouble free as always, thanks to Rahim and the team at Victoria Palace. We rely on this as our base for over a week and find the whole team helpful and friendly. Safety and security is never a worry and Ottilia's breakfasts are good too, an ideal start to a long hard day's work. And we use this hotel for social trips to London too, very good location for nearby restaurants and visitor attractions.

"At Home in London"
George K, 28 Mai 2016

We chose for location and were rewarded with a comfortable niche for visiting London. Our room was a small flat with all the amenities of home. The flat was in short walking distance of Victoria Station. The neighborhood is replete with shops, restaurants, and theaters. Service is excellent and luggage handling makes up for the absence of lifts.

"Queens Garden Party"
nannycook, 28 Mai 2016

We booked into the Victoria Palace for two nights - Monday and Tuesday 23/24 May as we had been invited to the Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday 24 May 2016 as I received the British Empire Medal at the New Years Honours List 2016. We thought the rate was reasonable for London when we booked and was near to Buckingham Palace and Victoria Station. The hotel reception was welcoming and efficient and spotlessly clean. Our room was small but with all amenities including a safe for no extra charge and once again spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the self service breakfast was excellent - beautifully cooked breakfast, plenty of choice and everything perfect. Would highly recommend this hotel. Free WiFi was brilliant.

"Weekend Away for Mum and Dad."
Robert W, 25 Mai 2016

When you look for accommodation ANYWHERE, you read some apparant horror stories, making an important choice more difficult. I sometimes wonder, if some of these people live on the same planet. Perhaps they are highly strung or are hoping to get a refund or are from an unscrupulous rival. I have used Best Western before and having an appointment in the centre of London, I opted for the Victoria Palace. Booking was easy, booking in was easy. The hotel was clean and welcoming. All the staff, from Reception, the catering staff and the cleaners were ALL welcoming. The Twin bedroom (104) was compact (2 double beds), but sufficient for our needs. The air conditioning was welcome There was the odd carpet stain within the building- this is a working hotel- not a shrine. Within the room some lightbulbs needed replacing. However the ceiling lights were the brightest, I have ever seen. Great for reading and would do justice to the floodlights at Wembley stadium. Just a couple of points, the shower is good, but slippy when wet and perhaps does need a mat. Perhaps the clear glass window in the bathroom would be better with opaque glass and a curtain, rather than just plain glass and a lace curtain? The Breakfast choice was great, Cereals, Pastries, Juices, Toast, Jam, Tomatoes, Bacon, Sausage, eggs, beans, srambled eggs, fresh fruit, assorted hot drinks. ALL well cooked. Staff were constantly replenishing as required, clearing tables and cleaning spillages. Very Well done. Staff were helpful and eager to help, booking out was easy. The hotel is near to local shops, supermarkets, tube, coach station. We stayed Monday and Tuesday nights avoidind any loud visiters. Well done for a perfect stay.

"Good for when seeing wicked "
Mel M, 25 Mai 2016

I stayed here with 2 friends and the distance to the theatre was great not too far especially leaving to go back late ... The room we first had someone had used the bathroom so we Called the desk and they moved us straight away . The staff were friendly and helped us find our room which was across the street not I the main building . It was noisy but most people were returning from nights out so its to be expected . The only bad thing was it was expensive for one night and we chose to have breakfast in the station as it was cheaper but I would stay there again if going to the theatre :)

"location"
foncho72, 10 Mai 2016

We traveled at the end of April. The hotel is located in a good area nearby (a few blocks) from 1 main train station and another service station. The hotel is located along the same street where many other hotels are also. The room was comfortable. The building we stayed in was 4 stories high and did not have an elevator, however, the hotel staff helped us with our bags. It was a bit expensive but it is London after all. Victoria is an area south of Westminster, so it is about a 20 minutes walk from Parlament and the Buckingham Palace. Overall, our stay was confortable and what we expected. It is definitely a chain hotel, good for spending the night safe and comfortable.

"Not the Best.......Western."
Haydn42, 09 Mai 2016

This is by far not the Best Western We have stayed in. We are here for two more nights and will not miss it when we leave. We are in a basement "apartment" a few doors away from the main hotel with two bedrooms and a kitchen. Whilst the kitchen is ok the bathroom has dozens of flies. The mattress is old and noisy, the furniture old and tired looking. There is also a lot of noise from the upstairs apartment where conversation can be heard together with doors slamming and loud footsteps. From our experience I cannot recommend this hotel as it is the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in in many years of travel.

"LOUD Hotel"
Wanderer3247, 06 Mai 2016

I think the point of you paying for a hotel room is so you have a place to SLEEP and I got very little sleep in this hotel because of the very loud banging of the doors in the corridor (they need to invest in slam proof doors), the loud creaking and footsteps of the upstairs guests and the fact I could hear the people in the room next to me talking (in a normal volume, I could hear every word). The room itself was fine, but I couldn't get past all the noise throughout the hotel. I stayed in the annex and unless you stay in the main building where perhaps it is less noisy, I would never recommend staying here. It's a shame really since it is in a great location and not a horrible price.

"Ok location....."
Pizzachickensteak, 02 Mai 2016

Nothing to write home about. VERY small rooms. wouldnt recommend for holiday travellers, more of a business hotel Friendly staff, but should be for the price.close to victoria station, so lots of decent pubs and eateries.

"One night"
Salagean S, 29 Avril 2016

Verry good staff , very clean rooms . Best Bang for the Buck! The showers ar clean . The location in my opinion is perfect to the main attractions . Great pubs nearby like you get out of the hotel close with good food and beer I didnt tried the breakfast, so no comment about it . Overalls i am verry happy for the decision i made for us to stay here . Thank you !

"Good location"
Hakan T, 25 Avril 2016

The location of the hotel is perfect. Rooms are clean and a bit small. There are many restaurants around the hotel. You can have a breakfast or dinner in a short distance. Reception is very polite and helpful. ? definitely stay that hotel again.

"staff very helpful could not do enough for you polite and made so welcome"
Pauline O, 23 Avril 2016

3 night stay, bedrooms extremely cleam and fresh, fresh linen and towels everyday breakfast on lower floor everything you could ever want from continental to full English and many added extras, once again staff wonderfully attentive. Well done to you all, and we will be back ,

"Good location "
Darshan N, 22 Avril 2016

We had stayed for 3 days. Location excellent and helped us visit most attraction in short period. Rooms are small and more like furnished studio partment. Breakfast was not free and seems little overpriced for what they serve. 5mins from vitoria station. Walkable distance to station and Buckingham palace. Even London Eye and nearby attraction not so far. Good to have a walk through the streets at night.

"Excellent "
DOODLEBUGS95, 20 Avril 2016

Very clean and comfortable ... great location...good breakfast... reception staff very helpful ... only concern was breakfast staff speaking in their own language and spent most of their time looking at another staff members mobile phone not the best impression for staff to show to guests

"Good value and great London location near Victoria Station"
LJH528, 17 Avril 2016

Planned a last minute trip to London for spring break with my daughter. We were staying for one week and wanted to be close to transportation so we didn't waste time traveling each day. London is an expensive city so finding something relatively affordable is a challenge. In Rick Steves' London book he recommended Best Western Victoria Palace and it suited us perfectly. It is just a 5 minute walk from Victoria Station which makes it very easy to catch the tube, train or bus. There is a grocery store near Victoria Station and lots of restaurants. To save money we stayed in the annex across the street. The room had 2 twin beds, desk, TV and bathroom. It was not big or fancy but was very clean and had excellent free wifi. The walls are thin so if the guest next door has the TV up, you will hear it but our neighbors did not stay up very late. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and held our luggage the day we checked out until we were ready to leave. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe walking around at night. I would definitely stay there again.

"Very good hotel"
Barry W, 14 Avril 2016

We stayed for two nights. Room quite small but spotlessly clean and very nice decor. Reception staff excellent and all the staff were really helpful. We needed to go to Belgravia and Victoria Station only 10 minutes walk. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it.

"do not stay in the annex building"
SianJ1984, 11 Avril 2016

Having stayed in the main hotel earlier this year we returned last weekend once again due to the hotels great location & value for money. However ...... upon check in it became clear that we had been booked into the annex building across the road (room 32) - immediately upon entering the room I was very disappointed to see that the rooms do not reflect that of those in the main hotel! Dated, cramped & faulty; the annex certainly does not reflect the value for money the main hotel does. Upon looking around it became clear that the reason the radiator was on full blast (on a warm sunny day) was to detract from the huge breeze coming through the windows, having investigated the reason for the draft was due to the fact that the windows did not close properly! Being on the first floor I was considering overlooking this fault until i noticed that the toilet was also looking, So, having upacked & repacked we went to reception where they swapped us striaght to a room in the gotel without any questions which was fantastic & I cannot thank the staff enough for this, although the lack of questions makes me feel I am certainly not the first person to have complained about the annex buildings The main hotel itself has recently been redcorated to a fantastic standard & looks lovely, the breakfast is great & the location even better. I would recommend this hotel and will certainly return myself just not to the annex building!!!

"Very comfortable hotel, has had a makeover"
Catherine G, 09 Avril 2016

Stayed at the Victoria Palace recently and it has had a makeover. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable, staff are really helpful and professional. Bed was of a good size, well made up and very clean. No complaints. Will stay in this hotel on my next trip to London

"Clean and convienient"
purplemulberry, 09 Avril 2016

Very helpful reception staff. The room and bathroom were small but had all we needed. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Victoria station with plenty of good eating places around. Breakfast was excellent, everything was fresh and a good choice, The breakfast room was small but very well run and clean. It had a quick turn round, I guess you might have to wait a few minutes at peak times. We will use this again as we found it so convenient, we walked into the city after breakfast and enjoyed the stroll by the Palace and the parks.

"Cramped and compact"
Jemma Y, 01 Avril 2016

Booked a last minute deal as we missed the last coach out of London! For £69, I can't complain. Cramped but it was clean with a decent size shower-room. I wouldn't recommend it as a break-away but for a quick stay over, then it's perfectly fine.

"Bed bugs"
Melanie K, 27 Mars 2016

Worse bed I ever slept in! Got bites from i don't know what animal, but the bed had bloody stains on them and I can't seem to get ride of the bites! Also the rooms are so small! And the room we stayed in was so dirty! I'd never ever stay there again! Bed bugs or some kind and now I had to buy so much stuff the help ease the itch but nothing is helping! Do not stay there if you have sensitive skin or are allergic to bug bites like me!

"Cramped but good"
BlackHat7, 26 Mars 2016

Small rooms, so took a double to get reasonable space (single occupancy) bed mattress a bit lumpy, one light out in bathroom; but generally fine for overnight stay; would stay again and would prefer if breakfast was included, the internet was exceptionally fast and easy to log on

"GREAT LOCATION AND STAFF"
Chantal A, 24 Mars 2016

Small rooms but clean. Staff bending over backwards to assist all guests with ANY problem they had. Nice neighborhood, plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Not far from Victoria Station, but need taxi if you have suitcases. Two Best Westerns within 100 yards of each other. Make sure you are at the right one before letting cab go with luggage.

"Victoria park in the heart of London"
josephmJ7808TF, 24 Mars 2016

This is a lovely hotel close to main line trains and transport and close to tourist attractions. As always in London the room and bathroom was on the small side. However it was very comfortable and clean. We stayed in the annexe. The staff were friendly and helpful. So a good all round experience

"Great little gem!"
MrsBzly, 23 Mars 2016

This is the second time I have stayed at this Best Western hotel. The first time was a year and a half ago with my husband. This time I brought my college daughter, instead. We had the two twin beds and they were surprisingly comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The location is awesome! The Victoria Station is only a few blocks away with transportation and amenities. At the station you can access a pharmacy, grocery store, clothing and restaurants. It is also close to Buckingham Palace and parks. You can't beat this hotel for the value!

"Good basic hotel, fine for tourists"
John A, 23 Mars 2016

Well located, convenient for the many attractions around Victoria and Westminster. The room was small, but warm and clean. Good free wifi, and an excellent buffet style breakfast. If you're out sightseeing all day, and want a basic room, this is excellent. There's a good pub across the road, and a number of shops and other places to pick up a snack nearby.

"Be fit for the Annex"
Christina M, 23 Mars 2016

If you are staying in the Annex, but sure you are fit. There are 6 flights of stairs to reach the shared rooms and another 2 flights to reach your bed room. The accommodations are very nice and clean. The shared room also housed our luggage, as we couldn't carry them up 2 more flights to our room. The kitchenette was very cozy and useful. The bedrooms with the en-suite were well kept and cozy. The location is great. We utilized Victoria Station for rail, underground and bus travel.

"Great hotel"
brindley27, 21 Mars 2016

The staff at this hotel are really helpfull nothing is to much trouble had a great room stayed 2 days room was clean towels were amazing the only complaint was breakfast to expensive and were you eat breakfast overbearing heat to many at one time should be booked but overall 4 out of 5 stars

"Value for money"
leahb19, 19 Mars 2016

I stayed here for a short business trip and the location was exactly what I needed for my meetings and the cost was low. The room I was in was very spacious but this may have been because it was a twin room. However, I very much liked the room. Breakfast was great - a large selection.

"Get what you pay for"
xenon308daily, 18 Mars 2016

Stayed at this hotel as they were offering a reasonable rate for the area, which can be expensive. Staff were welcoming, friendly and courteous. Room was very small but clean and tidy. Bathroom had modern, clean , tidy decor. Staircase is narrow but clean. Road is noisy at late night & early morning. Accepted it is in a handy location and not far from the back exit of Victoria station complex. Breakfast room in basement. Breakfast had wide range but average. In the morning only cold water shower available as problem with boiler, which I was informed by staff they they were trying to fix. Reception staff very apologetic concerning hot water problem and gave discount for the inconvenience. Overall average.

"Good location. Good basic hotel"
Tracey G, 17 Mars 2016

Stayed here for a few nights while visiting London. Hotel reasonably priced. Location great. Only a 5 minute walk from Victoria Station. Lots of bars and restaurants close by the hotel. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Hotel clean and tidy. Will certainly stay here again on future visits to the capital

"When we return to London, we wont be going to this place."
Erlend S, 15 Mars 2016

The hotel room had a useless mattrass and a bathroom in which you could not actually sit straight on the toilet. The shower had no pressure and there was no heat in the bathroom, which resulted in a very cold room (which btw had mildew and Im guessing some sort of fungus).

"business marhc"
Bryan L, 14 Mars 2016

good hotel, recently refurbished, great staff, excellent breakfast... extremely quiet hotel, no road noise, new bathrooms, air con... would recommend and stay again defintelty a great hotel, check out very efficient, local shop opposite hotel

"Basic accommodation "
Lililanza, 12 Mars 2016

Rooms basic, clean laundry but rooms not too clean. Good location and good reception service, they couldn't do enough for us. We weren't in main building and they even brought over some info flyers to our room (in annex!) Room has tea facilities, TV and small bathroom.

"Okay....ish"
Mike t, 11 Mars 2016

The hotel was nothing special..... i stayed here for two nights and to be fair it was pretty average.... for the area it is located in i expected something a bit more... maybe thats just me. Location is just about the best aspect of this hotel.... The staff were friendly but can be a little bit more smiles to make the customers feel a bit more welcome. The room on the other hand was not to great. I personally felt like the room was very small and just looked worn out... maintenance is definitely needed. Not to mention i am a hygiene freak .. was the hotel up to standards with my hygiene? No. I am coming to London frequently now due to a promotion, so i am looking for a good hotel where i could feel at home every week.Would i stay here again? Maybe ... if the other places are fully booked.

"Small rom in the cellar"
AndersOhman, 09 Mars 2016

Good location in Victoria hotel district. The room was in the basement in the annex. Very small but clean and quiet. Good and friendly service. Perfect for a lonely traveler that only wants a good nights sleep.

"Great location"
marron222, 28 Février 2016

The room was recently refurbished with great lighting and two mirrors where most needed. Lovely towels and very well cleaned room. Breakfast was typical British. The best feature was of course its location within walking distance of Victoria Station .

"Better than expected"
Tommy D, 27 Février 2016

Had to book a hotel for a friend but end up staying myself. Booked a triple room and it was nice and clean, plenty of space and nothing to disappoint. everything up to 3 star standards. staff maybe not from around because they couldn't answer any of my questions, but got me take away I wanted so no problems at all. its cheap and good for the price. Doubt you will get disappointing for the price you paying. No bar !

"More than expected!"
Courtney W, 25 Février 2016

Travelling to London can be expensive at the best of times, but we got a deal for 1 night in this hotel for a very good price. I think it was so cheap as we booked a room in the "annex" section which is a separate section of the hotel across the road. Although we had booked for that, we ended up in a room in the main hotel. We were well chuffed with that and although the rooms are tiny, they have everything you need for a comfy night. The showers are a bit pants but the location of the hotel makes up for it. You're near loads of restaurants and a 5-minute walk away from the coach station or the victoria station itself, this made it ideal for getting about London whether you're there for shopping or something else. We saw Wicked while we were there and it took us 5 minutes to walk to the theatre and had plenty of choice of restaurants nearby. There's a nice pub across the road, but as northerners we saw it as expensive! They serve nice cold pints and homemade pork scratching. The hotel staff are lovely and you have the choice to leave your bag in the hotel after you check out if you still have sights to see. We were doing London on the cheap and walked everywhere (yes we're mad and yes our feet hurt after) but it's easy enough to do as you can walk to Buckingham Palace and other touristy places. For a cheap/comfy night in London I would definitely recommend this! It's on a nice quiet road as well with some very pretty houses.

"Good"
Julll22, 21 Février 2016

We spent there two nights. It is small, clean hotel with nice and polite service. We had very small room, but the bed was very comfortable and the true is that it is good accomodation for reasonable price in London. We appreciated perfect location!! 5 minutes from Victoria, 15 minutes to Buckingham palace, 30 minutes to Oxford street. Taxi from Selfridges shopping appx. 10 libras.

"Cozy"
Julian B, 19 Février 2016

A small hotel spread over a few buildings, close to supermarkets and cafes. Just a few minutes walk from the train station. Also a few minutes drive from the main attractions in central London. About 30 minutes drive from Heathrow airport. The staff were very helpful to carry my luggage when I checked in and offer advice on where to go around the area.

"Nice stay for family"
AdyaLaras, 17 Février 2016

Had a good location 5 minutes walk to to Victoria Station. Nice stay for family with childrens triple room. The room was clean fit size for 2 adults + 1 children. The staf was friendly and helpful. We got a room at the basement with window but no view.

"Kinda cr4p but no other choice unless you're a millionaire "
mmatley, 13 Février 2016

Our room in the annex, tiny but clean. 3rd floor, no lift, tiny staircase, luggage carried by very friendly porter. No bar fridge in room and view of adjacent roofs from small window. As everyone has said, the location is handy but really that depends where u get out from Victoria station. Basic toiletries provided. Small kettle and hair-dryer. Short off street parking. The annex building only contains a stairwell and squashed in rooms, no staff presence. Probably wouldn't stay here again but it's not too bad if it's your first time in London and you're not rolling in cash (it's still pretty expensive though).

"Basic, very basic!"
Mark M, 13 Février 2016

If you are travelling with a significant other, by yourself, or with a friend and on a budget this hotel will get the job done. If you are travelling with family DO NOT STAY HERE. The rooms are very small, our baby stroller wouldn't fit in the room! The walls are very thin, no exaggeration, we could hear the man/woman snoring through the walls every night. Room temperature was a constant battle trying to maintain a consistent temperature. The beds were brutal, old, very old and they weren't even level. For a London hotel is an ok price for what you get. It was manageable, because we spent most of the day out, but on my next visit I will be spending a bit more, so that my family and I are more comfortable.

"2nd visit"
Roger S, 09 Février 2016

Would recommend this nice warm hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Good location for trains and buses Easy to find a few minutes walk from Victoria main line station and Victoria coach station. Hotel is split into two areas the annexe is only a few metres away with good security. Will certainly stay here again.

"Decent location but pricey"
DaveH2423, 09 Février 2016

Good location for tube access to theartres but when checking in was told our booking was not on the system. Good job I took a printed copy of our reservation confirmation so please be aware and ring before travelling.

"1 Night stay in London"
Michael O, 09 Février 2016

Ok for overnight stay. Very convenient for Victoria/Westminster area. Small bur clean room and limited services compared to larger hotels. Not much out of room facilities e.g. for lounge relaxing. However good value for London.

"Dirty and old hotel"
Elena S, 09 Février 2016

Stayed in a double room, but it was small even for 1 person. I had to squeeze between a table and a bed to get to the mirror or use a hair dryer, which couldn't not be moved. The hotel furniture is shabby! And the room was disgustingly dirty! Layers of dust everywhere and spots on the sheets and the shower.. yuck. Adding to all of the above, you can easily hear people walking in the above rooms, which woke me up several times a night. I just do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone... It is not cheap, and it's definitely not worth the money.

"Must be better than this"
Mightymark9, 07 Février 2016

Great location near Victoria And the restaurants of Wilton Road. very friendly staff. Roooms are quite large for London. but- the other guests are 22 year old Itlalians and Spanish, thr walls are wafer thin so you will not sleep well. My no smoking room smelled of smoke and the wifi was slowfi, just about useable in 2002. There are lots of hotels nearby and one must be better

"Excellent value in a good location"
Val D, 07 Février 2016

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. The location of the hotel is excellent, within easy walking distance of Victoria station and only 10 minutes walk to Westminster. Although on a busy road, the room was very quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. The room is basically furnished but perfectly adequate and very clean. Breakfast was not included in the price and probably not worth paying extra as there are so many places nearby where you can but breakfast. The surrounding area has lots of small cafes and restaurants and is very pleasant to walk around. I can definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be close to all the amenities, theatres etc.

"We probably had worst room at the hotel "
anthony F, 06 Février 2016

Stayed here recently probably had worst room at the hotel. Our room was in the attic of its subsidiary building which is located approx 150 yards from main building. 4 flights of stairs to get to the room with no elevator in the building. There is a porter onsite to help you carry your bags to your room .The room was as expected....basic but you get what you pay for. Can't say the room was clean as there was spots of blood on bed sheets when we arrived apart from that we were happy with our stay.

"Great bargain hotel"
kmillen1958, 05 Février 2016

I'm not saying this is a 5 star hotel but for the price paid it is brilliant. Booked a couple of weeks before and paid £108 for 2 rooms. Yes the bathroom is a little compact but rooms were fine, well equipped with decent hairdryer, TV and tea, coffee facilities. The staff on the front desk were very friendly and helpful. A great location, 7 minute walk to Victoria, would have no hesitation in staying here again.

"Nice hotel in good location"
Ramiras, 05 Février 2016

This hotel is situated a short walk from Victoria station amidst lots of good pubs and restaurants. The staff was friendly and the room was just refurbished. Also very affordable price. Good free wifi connection.

"Average hotel but really good helpful staff"
RichiesTrips, 30 Janvier 2016

We booked this hotel and booked an "annex room" because we were 3 adults. On the second floor, this room proved to be very cramped, set out in an L shape that was wrapped around the lift shaft. We had 3 suitcases and there was barely room for 1. There was no door between the two sleeping areas. One bed was double the other single. I'm a platinum card holder with Best Western and never been offered or requested an upgrade but thought I'd ask due to this room, the staff couldn't of been more helpful. The lady on reception said they didn't have much but took me over the road to look at a room over there, it wasn't much bigger and a bit tatty to be honest. She said we could move the next day to a larger room so we persevered. The room with 3 adults in was really stuffy. The next day we moved to a basement room which was a big improvement. The staff moved our luggage while we were out which was good, and for our 3rd night we got a room over the corridor for our son at a reduced rate so the last night was good. We had breakfast on the last morning, it was very average. The staff here really are excellent and the hotel is quite conveniently located, so perhaps if you pick your room carefully you might have a decent stay.

"Great stay"
dsl_falkirk, 29 Janvier 2016

This hotel is in an excellent location, only minutes from rail and underground stations and walking distance to many of the big London attractions. The staff are first class and the rooms are very comfortable. There are plenty of good eating placed in the immediate area. I highly recommend it.

"Enjoyed My Stay"
AbdulRashid P, 23 Janvier 2016

I arrived the hotel a bit late and my room was ready and the staff were very helpful. The room was in another building 2 blocks away from the hotel reception. I got an extra as the accommodation was like a studio apartment with small seating area, kitchenette and dining table. The internet was good. I was, however, told that check out was 11am. Which seems too early in my opinion. The following morning, I was able to extend it to 1230pm after a special request. The bath tub in my bathroom was under a staircase and could be a safety issue.

"Cheap hotel clean and friendly staff"
David S, 16 Janvier 2016

stopped here on the 15/16 01 2016 as a surprise for the wife and was not disappointed the annexe were we stayed was clean as a pin even carried your bags over from main hotel . Would recommend this hotel to anyone and only a short distance from Victoria Rail Station and Coach Station ,and within easy reach of Buckingham Palace Big Ben Houses of Parliament

"Great value Central London"
644julieannem, 12 Janvier 2016

Room was clean and comfortable for a surprising £49! Internet connection was reasonable. Hotel felt safe, 5 mins walk from Victoria Railway Station and not too much road noise (back of hotel), so slept fine. Window opened which was good as I can't cope with aircon! Would recommend!

"Great stay"
Andrea-Washington, 12 Janvier 2016

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the end of November 2015. I thought the hotel was brilliant, we had a family room on the ground floor, it had recently been refurbished, in fact the workman was busy putting pictures up as we went into our room! The room was huge and clean, bathroom was ok with great shower. Room was cleaned every day and we were left clean towels, tea/coffee replenished. For the price we paid for room only it was brilliant, staff on the reception were lovely and couldn't do enough to help you, every time you saw them they were running around! Only negative points were, we were placed right next to restaurant, so you could hear the door constantly opening and shutting on a morning, but we were up early so wasn't an issue for us, maybe for others? Also there was traffic noise from outside, again central london, to be expected, not an issue as we slept well, again for others maybe a problem! Would definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend to others.

"Clean, friendly and a good night sleep."
bambi851, 05 Janvier 2016

I wasn't really expecting much from my stay at the Best Western, I thought it was in a good location and fairly inexpensive. But actually I was pleasantly surprised. Walking into the lobby, it was bright, clean and felt modern. The staff were friendly and showed me to my room. The room wasn't huge, but it was big enough, bright and very clean. The bathroom was a good size with plenty of nice soft towels. I couldn't hear any noise outside of the room and got a good night sleep. I'll definitely try it again when I return to London.

"London trip 15"
Pzooch50, 01 Janvier 2016

We stayed one night.7 mins walk from a very busy Victoria Station.Nice priced London hotel. Normal for Europe smaller room. In a good location.we had no issues with our 3 person room.would stay here again.

"Small but clean"
ay07, 29 Décembre 2015

Stayed there for 4 nights. The Hotel is distributed around few streets :) I did not stay at the main building. The room was very small and compact. Definitely not for two people but was fine for a single traveler. The WiFi was free and really fast. Breakfast was not included which was not a big problem. The location is moderately central. The Victoria metro station is about 10 min. walk. There are supermarkets and restaurants around. The room was really clean and the bathroom was fine.

"Good location and friendly staff"
KrystelcP, 21 Décembre 2015

We really enjoyed our stay, the room was small but clean and quiet. The breakfast was really good and the staff were very helpful. The location was great for us as it was near Victoria station and close to shops.

"I expected more from a Best Western..."
touifi, 20 Décembre 2015

I spent only a night in the hotel and it has been a last minute booking. As expected accommodation prices in London are usually very high, but at least I expected a better service. The hotel is located in an good spot, really close to the Victoria station. I was given a room in an annex building. The carpet was quite dirty and despite the dark colour one could spot the stains. The shower cabin was full of hairs. Last but not least there were a couple really kitch pictures hanging over my bed. I would not recommend it or go the again...

"Good location really small room!"
Deenie645, 15 Décembre 2015

Great location and easy to get to Brixton from here. However the room was really small. Nonetheless the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. You can park right outside but you might need to pay depending when you are staying. Would stay here again.

"Friendly and priceworthy"
bookworm84, 15 Décembre 2015

I was overall very satisfied with this hotel, the best part being its vicinity to Victoria Station/Gatwick express, but also close to Pimlico tube station, if you want to avoid the crowds. The reception was very friendly and helpful, though we stayed in the annex building across the street. The room was small but felt clean and the hotel was newly refurbished. Once the cleaners had forgotten to put in new glasses, but they arrived immediately after I called reception. I also found a used plastic cup in the bathroom cupboard once. There is no elevator in the annex, but that was no problem for us - however it is worth noticing when you book. We had no breakfast included but paid extra for it. The buffet was very good, but the price was high,12.50/pp and breakfast. The blocks around the hotel are very nice with lots of restaurants, and a huge Sainsburys just round the corner. I might stay at this hotel again on my next trip!

"Helpful staff and Good facilities"
mmeagss, 11 Décembre 2015

Arrived at the hotel to be greeted by friendly staff, I was booked for a single room in the annex but was given a room in the main part of the hotel. The room was very clean and modern. Short walking distance to Victoria station and Buckingham Palace, neighborhood is relatively quiet. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to London and wanting a good neighbourhood to stay in. Rooms and lobby in the main building have been recently updated, more modern compared to the pictures on here.

"Excellent staff, great location"
crmpicco, 10 Décembre 2015

I have just stayed in this hotel for two nights and would highly recommend it. The rooms were spacious, although perhaps a bit dusty in places. The breakfast options were excellent and 7am-9.30am is a generous time slot. The staff were excellent too and I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone. I'd be more than happy to return to this hotel in future.

"GREAT LOCATION, ROOMS IN NEED OF UPDATING"
Ian C, 09 Décembre 2015

Located to the South of Victoria station to the west of Westminster in Pimlico we found this to be in a nice quiet location and within easy access to tube or train. We arrived into Kings Cross and you can catch a single tube from there to Pimlico with no need to change which was a bonus. We were put in a room over the road from the main hotel which we didn't know before booking. The rooms were small and run down but fairly priced for the location. With a bit of TLC the rooms and our stay would have been greatly improved. If I returned I would probably look for a different hotel in the same area. Certainly not the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and cant really grumble for the price.

"A night in London"
209NickS, 04 Décembre 2015

The room was very small, but it had what I needed - a clean bed, a shower and air conditioning. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. I did not stay in the area for the evening, but there seemed to be plenty going on.

"Excellent base in London"
LynneBarnsley, 02 Décembre 2015

This hotel is in an excellent location to explore London, being only a 5 minute walk from Victoria station. The staff were extremely helpful & courteous - even going outside to hail a taxi for us. The room was clean, bright & airy & had everything we needed for our one night stay.

"No, no, no, no.... really no."
Traveller-935, 01 Décembre 2015

This is the type of hotel where I just cannot understand how people can give it these ratings... #484 of 1000+ at time of writing. This means that it's in the top 50% of Hotels in London and I simply can't believe there's 500+ hotels out there that are worse. No way! Staff very uninterested and almost offended if you pull them away from their phone, freezing and very rickety building & rooms that have not seen a refurbishment in 20+ years, horrible (often non-existent) wifi and a breakfast room where you do an immediate 180 after you walk in. There are many, many more pleasant hotels (in te same price bracket) in this area, do yourself a favour and browse on. Will not return.

"Good location, walking distance to Victoria & Westminster."
Biddy50, 01 Décembre 2015

Well situated in a nice area of Pimlico, near nice restaurants. Rooms are very clean & tidy, if a little small (bathrooms tiny). But the cost per night is very competitive. Reception staff are friendly & helpful. We were very pleased to be offered upgrades for all 3 of our rooms. We booked room only, so did not try the breakfast.

"Good location near Victoria Station. Good value for price."
SSakaPebbles, 30 Novembre 2015

Went with a group of friends. Decide is you want main hotel or annex. We choose the main hotel due to no elevator or breakfast available out in annex. The rooms were clean, and serviced while we were gone. The hotel staff was friendly and even worked to get me a different room upon check in so I could have a queen size bed not twins =D. The breakfast was great. It had a nice selection of juice, coffee, cereal, fruit, yogurt as well as hot food (soft eggs, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage) along with bagel or croissants. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from Victoria. There are some pubs and resturants within walking distance. There is a very small 24 hour market across the street for water, pop, and a few snack items.

"Well situated in nice area of Victoria"
127phillipc, 29 Novembre 2015

Stayed for 3 nights 26-29 Nov, room 603 which was newly decorated and clean, however bear in mind that rooms commencing with the number 6 are in the basement - handy for the breakfast room, but no view. Hotel has several pubs and restaurants in the immediate vicinity which is great after a full day of sightseeing. Staff are friendly and helpful.

"good value city break"
Laura B, 24 Novembre 2015

we found the hotel quite easily, all the staff were helpful and friendly. we didn't take the breakfast and were a little disappointed there was no bar/café/restaurant at the main building - otherwise we had no complaints at all.

"frinedly staff good for families"
Liz B, 24 Novembre 2015

nice staff basic hotel but had everything we needed .nice and quiet.good family rooms together in annex.Breakfast better than average,Staff helpful. It was near the transport links we needed as near the tube

"Good little hotel"
M130454, 19 Novembre 2015

Stayed at this hotel for one night. The room was small but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good a selection of cooked and buffet foods. Staff were also very helpful and checked me in early so that I could get to a meeting.

"BEST WESTERN COMES THROUGH AGAIN IN LONDON"
Pam J, 15 Novembre 2015

Great little hotel in ideal location in London, walking distance to tube, rail and the coach station. Clean, comfortable (albeit small by US standards, but this is Europe so quite roomy by that standard). Staff so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. In terms of price, good value for money. For food, check out the Warwick pub just down the street. Really good eats and a great atmosphere.

"Good service, basic room, good location "
HHV H, 14 Novembre 2015

If you are looking for a good location and don't mind about luxury this is the place. Rooms are very basic, make sure you get a room with a Window that looks to the street, if bit you might end up having a wall view. Victoria station is 10 min walking, good restaurants around the corner, quiet area, easy to access. Not sure if I would stay in that hotel again but price was good compared with similar properties in the area. Breakfast is 12 dollars, you can get something better outside.

"Lovely hotel, friendly staff and excellent location! "
KirstieTaylor, 12 Novembre 2015

Lovely hotel situated within a 5/10 minute walk of Victoria train station and underground which gives you easy access across London. Hotel is situated a 20 minute walk away from Westminster. Within walking distance to Westminster abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London eye. Hotel room was basic but clean and big enough for what we needed. Bathroom was small however had a large shower which was a nice surprise. The hotel reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The check in and out process was quick and easy. Our room was ready on arrival even though we were 2 hours early which was great. They also kept our luggage for us on or last day as our train wasn't departing until 7.20pm. Breakfast was lovely, a good variety of food and good quality. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend.

"Clean, comfortable and reasonable location"
Sandra N, 12 Novembre 2015

10 min walk to Victoria, 15 walk to St James tube. The street the hotel is on doesn't feel like the best area but it is okay, as a women walking round on my own I feel safe. There is a good selection of good, reasonably price restaurants nearby on Wilton Road. I was a little disappointed that my room was not in the main hotel not over the rad in an annexe building up three flights of stairs with no lift. Breakfast is served in the main hotel so a bit of a trek for breakfast and they don't do room service! The room itself is spacious, with everything in working order. The bed is comfortable, the bedding and towels have a fresh feel to them and are reletively new. All it all the hotel is fine, but nothing special.

"Lovely hotel"
jbennettwales, 11 Novembre 2015

We were in the annexe and after reading reviews we were very wary. How wrong. Fabulous room, small but I didn't go to spend my time in hotel. Bed was very comfortable, always hot water, tea coffee and biscuits. Would definitely go there again. Plenty of places to eat and just around the corner from Victoria station.one happy lady.

"Good Hotel, Pricey breakfast for what you get"
DNpics, 09 Novembre 2015

A very good hotel with excellent location and good equipped rooms. Breakfast at £12.50 each was expensive for not having much on offer at the buffet. I would have had a much better choice of breakfast at half the price at a Toby Carvery Breakfast offer. The breakfast quality was not up to scratch neither, the hot food was generally cold. A waste of my money to be honest for the breakfast which is a shame as it is a good overall hotel at a decent price.

"Why did I book here?"
karen g, 03 Novembre 2015

I wanted somewhere reasonably priced, close to Park Lane and comfortable. The hotel is a bit off the beaten track, and at £135 wasn't that 'reasonable'. A strange set up, in the annex, along the street, an apartment with kitchen and a sort of living room. Very clean but just felt a bit tacky. No lift, although the staff at reception did offer to carry my bag. I think I could have done a lot better in this price range.

"Lovely hotel, very clean, close to Victoria & lots of restaurants & amenities"
jhwilts70, 01 Novembre 2015

We booked this hotel for a cheeky London theatre getaway. The hotel we wanted to stay in was full so looking for other places near Victoria this looked fine. We booked a double room in the Annexe without breakfast as to be honest there are so many great breakfast places there and cheaper too. Having read some reviews I was slightly concerned that it might be horrific and hostel like. To be honest I don't know what people expect. The hotel was lovely. Great staff to greet you, took us straight to the Annexe, helped with bags etc. Reception were great as well. Polite, friendly and helpful. Yes the room isn't a master suite but then if that's what you want look at the £1k a night hotels! The room was clean, had window and air conditioning so no problem. Lots of hanging and storage space. It was quiet too so no complaints there. The bathroom was wonderfully clean and huge towels too. Only niggle was bed perhaps but smaller and mattress but soft. But otherwise absolutely fine and will book again next time we're in London.

"Nice hotel in a lovely area"
MadiYo, 01 Novembre 2015

It was my second stay in this hotel and everything was great - we stayed in a building across the street from the main building with the reception. The room was similar size (not very big, but there's everything you need). Nice, clean and big bathroom. There was an issue with the heating and hot water and they offered complimentary breakfast as an apology. The problem was fixed on time as they promised. Definitely would stay there again as the area is very nice - close to Victoria station, but it has the small neighborhood feel. A lot of shops, restaurants and nice places to have breakfast.

"Not going to go back to say the least"
Beth D, 27 Octobre 2015

We arrived in the early evening and went straight out for a nandos (extra cheeky) so didn't really see our rooms until we got back at about 8pm, at which point just relaxed and watched the TV, which was freeview and had many channels. I was at the hotel with two other people, however in separate rooms (requested) one on lower ground, one on the top floor - described as an attic - and me just bellow. When on the phone to the person at the bottom, they could hear me even though I was FIVE FLOORS above. I think that just says how much you can hear everything. I planned to have a shower in the morning, so when I woke up and saw a text asking if I had hot water or not, I was less than impressed. I turned on the shower and it did not warm up. I thought id swivvle the nobbles, and then I put it back to the defult for 10 minutes to let it warm up, however this did not happen. I found out just before I was to leave that if you wanted a shower you could ring up reception, go over to another building where they would give you a room with hot water and shower there, however this shouldn't have to happen and I discovered this too late, so had to go without. Before leaving at 9AM the cleaner knocked on the door, but the check out time is 11 which I found abit odd When we got over to the main building for breakfast, it was what it said, full English, cossionts, cereal etc but nothing to rave about. There were only two flavors of juice; orange and lemon (who drinks lemon juice?!?), however I was told the coffee was very good by my friend. As we were waiting for our third friend, a family of four walked in. The blonde Spanish member of staff moved our table for them to use without asking, and took my bag of the sat and put it in the corner and walked off. I had to go out of my way to get my bag from a corner, even though I was happy taking it of the seat when she was like 'don't worry, ill move it', yeah to the other side of the room?! this left me loosing a scarf until they ran to give it back. When we were checking out, we said we would like 20% back. now for 3 rooms it cost over £300, therefore we should have received atleast £60, but somehow breakfast was removed from the discount (£12) authough we paid for it all at once and we recived a mear £35 - which should have been £31 but he was so kind to round it up?!? - not to sure how that one worked out. Not worth £115 for one night, about 289347 stairs and no lift, tubes running beneath, no hot water, thin walls and standard breakfast.

"Never again."
ppatchpaddy, 27 Octobre 2015

If you want a hotel that caters for your every individual need, has a clean room, a mattresses that has no bumps or dips, hot water and clean rooms, then this is not the hotel for you. Victoria Palace is lacking many important features that make a great hotel, at my stay, I had no hot water, the taps in the bathroom were turned off, my bed had very large dips in the bed, making it un-sleepable. The tube kept me up most of the night and morning, but obviously they can't fix that, but they can fix the mattress, it was horrible. I put the air-con on to cover the noise of the tube, and because I do like a cold room, I set it too 21 degrees C, but it insisted on blowing warm air all night. Do I mention all the nose hairs around my room and the leftover excretion marks in the toilet? The buffet breakfast was very nice, the desk team were very smiley and the wifi is super fast and reliable!

"Great location, just don't expect to sleep!"
Elvis123, 26 Octobre 2015

I'd wanted to stay at this hotel as it looked great with a superb location close to Victoria station, good restaurants and theatres. All started well when we got in the double room which was on the small side but perfectly OK for our needs. We went to the theatre and arrived back ready for a good nights rest. The windows may as well have been open such was the noise from the road with stiff competition from the wafer thin walls where you could hear everything from someone on the toilet to every single word said ... do I need to go on? A hotel such as this has to invest in double glazing as a minimum. Truly hopeless so I'm writing this to warn others then going to bed to catch up. Finally, I told them it was our special celebration and guess what they did?? Nothing!

"I recommend"
Ulaxir, 26 Octobre 2015

I recommend warmly Best Western Victoria Palace for a traveller who searches a hotel nearby Victoria Station. 5 minutes walk straight, very helpful and kind staff, clean rooms, good beds (we were a group and had 4 rooms and all shared the same opinion), no noise (one of group had a room on ground floor giving to the traffic lights) and a complete breakfast!

"Clean but tiny room"
TravelingAuthor, 18 Octobre 2015

First off this is not "a building" but collection of disconnected ones. We unloaded our luggage before we learned where we would be. As there were no luggage carts it was "interesting". The clerk assisted with a trolley like the one used to transfer Hannibal Lecter. The room was tiny without a single drawer. We were leaving on a cruise later so we had four bags. It was like a giant game of Jenga. There is NO storage under the bed which was also small. The soundproofing was nonexistent and we could hear any in the hall and the footsteps of the persons above us. Positives: Good WiFi and it was clean

"Great location and very clean"
Kate K, 17 Octobre 2015

Stayed here with my sisters in a family room. The location was excellent and only a 15 minute walk from Victoria station and the underground. Our room was very clean and certainly larger than we expected for a London hotel. The bathroom was larger than than my bathroom at home let alone the others I have been in when staying in London. My bed was comfortable although my Sister had a bit of a 'lumpy' mattress. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked with a good selection of both full English and continental elements. All in all a great room and stay.

"Excellent value with friendly staff!"
jenny p, 16 Octobre 2015

The staff were particularly friendly, helpful and informative, the room was clean and spacious and, best of all, the towels were so large and soft!! We were also well supplied with coffee and milk.Thank you!

"extremely small"
David R, 16 Octobre 2015

we slept ok, the room was clean enough, but we had stomping neighbors above - stomped for hours - a teeny bath, teenier shower, no fan in bath, room barely has squeeze room around the bed. we were in the annex; the guy who took us to the room told us all the rooms were the same size (we were shocked at the size & asked as soon as the door was open). pretty hefty price for such a sub-standard product.

"Not good!"
Jan A, 15 Octobre 2015

Stayed for one night. The hotel isn't particularly clean and the shower tray was one of the worst I have seen in terms of cleanliness and it wasn't even that good a shower. Both myself and my colleague stayed in the annex which doesn't feel particularly safe; is very noisy due to the walls being paper thin and very creaky floorboards meaning that you are constantly disturbed through the night! I didn't bother to go for breakfast & decided to eat out. All in all, the place could do with a refurb and a good clean!

"Good staff but very small room"
Stephen W, 12 Octobre 2015

This hotel is very handy for Victoria stations and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room was smaller than some singles I have stayed in! There were no wardrobe or cupboard doors nor any drawers as there was simply not enough room to open them. The door to the en-suite could not be opened more than half because the bed was in the way and it was the smallest double bed worthy of the name! My wife and I are tall which exacerbated the problem.

"Well equipped but very small room"
Sue W, 12 Octobre 2015

Well located just 7 minutes walk from Victoria rail, tube and coach stations. Entrance lobby bright and modern and staff friendly and welcoming. Room was modern and well equipped but so small. The ensuite door could only be opened about halfway as it hit the bed. Bed was only a 4'6" and the walk around the bed space was narrow. In the clothes hanging area was a suitcase stand but nowhere to stand it! Other rooms may be bigger but based on this visit we would not go back which is a pity because lots of things were good.

"Great hotel to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday!!!"

Hubby and I decided to book at this hotel, as we always like to be in a quieter section of a city. This hotel is only a 7-10min to the Tube and have such great restaurants in the area, and close to some tourist attractions. This place was the best value in the area and you can decide to have breakfast included or not (breakfast costs extra but can be worth it at times). Rooms in the main hotel have breakfast included, and rooms across the street in the Annex do not come with breakfast. We requested a double room (2 twin beds push up together) specifically Annex 32 (has a balcony) as it was recommended in other reviews. The front desk staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful with confirming reservations, giving us directions to places, and loaning us an outlet converter all to ensure that our stay was pleasurable. The bell hop carried our luggage upstairs as the Annex building does not have an elevator and provided us some nice recommendations for places to eat and visit. Overall, I would definitely stay at this place again and would recommend this place to others.

"Good value"

It is nothing special in terms of accommodation if you are after a lovely hotel, but the bed was very comfortable and it was very reasonable for a last minute booking. The staff were polite and I'd happily crash here for the night again. Good value for money.

"London Visit"

Stayed here for 6 nights in September 2015. As many have stated the room was a bit small by US standards but not prohibitively so. The Wi Fi was fine. I didn't interface very often with the front desk but when I did they were helpful and friendly. They even have power adapters if you happen to forget yours! The bathroom was a decent size but the shower was very small--I would say on par with a RV shower. Overall a good stay

"Great location and service"
Zimfamily4, 24 Septembre 2015

We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased. The service was great and the breakfast very good. The room was very clean. The location was about a 10 minute walk to Victoria Station and there were many restaurants within a few blocks. We were also able to walk to Westminster Abbey from this hotel. Free wifi very good too.

"Great location. Very efficient."

The hotel was very convenient to the tube. About a 10 min walk. The rooms are small but really met all of our needs. The desk was staffed 24/7 and all were helpful. I requested an early check in to which our room was ready as soon as we arrived.

"London break"

Stayed for four days at this little hotel and cannot fault it.Ideally located for all the major tourist attractions,15mins to Buckingham Palace, 15mins to Hyde Park.Rooms are a shade small but spotlessly clean and well maintained.
