On a very warm day all the air conditioning had been turned off. And the room temperature was unbearable. The restaurant wasn't open and after a 9 hour drive we would have liked more than the 3 poor options offered. Reception desk staff were not interested. If a hotel advertises that it offers certain facilities then these should be available
Things don't work. Shower scalds and then freezes. Poor TV options in English. Rooms from 1970s. Windows only open a few inches so rooms are too warm even when temperature outside is 15-18. Room service menu on hotel's website is incorrect, you must go to restaurant to order. Food prices are absurd for what you get.
I have attended HEC Business school on regular basis for over a year and got the opportunity of staying at the Best Western Plus Paris Saclay. The hotel has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, which is made all the more inviting by the amazing and friendly staff. They were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that my stays were comfortable and flawless. The rooms at the Best Western Plus Paris Saclay are comfy and spacious. The food here is nothing short of delicious. Whether it was breakfast to kickstart the day or a delicious dinner to wind down in the evening, the culinary expertise of the chefs was evident everytime. Overall, my stay at the Best Western Plus Paris Saclay was exceptional. It's an ideal choice for anyone visiting the HEC Campus area. highly recommended
The hotel itself is a reasonable value for the affordable price. Unfortunately, the students at the neighboring school have no respect and nobody to stop them from holding very loud parties very late into the night, including weeknights. This fact certainly must be well-known, but the hotel didn't disclose it before booking nor upon check in.
Stay for 2 nights for business trip. Restaurant prices too high for the quality offered. Bed somewhat uncomfortable warm due to plastic bed sheats (protective?) Generally the hotel looks dated. Some staff very good and some seem to be just hired and missing the right attitude.
Very average with elements that need to be worked on. Given that many people stay here on business for HEC, odd that each room does not have its own ironing board. You have to check it out at the front desk and carry it back when you are done. I have never seen this in a mainstream chain hotel. I also had Privacy on my door the whole time but they came in anyway to clean up, so it must be mandatory after a few days.
Comfortable and friendly staff. The breakfast options can be improved. There was no egg station. Scrambled eggs were under cooked. I booked a double bed, but was given two single beds joined together making the night sleep a little uncomfortable.
Happy with the bed. Big enough. For an excecutive room, the bathroom could be bigger. Shower/bath to tiny. The furnitures can use an update as well. Modern furniture. Breakfast more than OK. Very friendly staff at the breakfast room. They greet you with a big smile
The hotel itself is very nicely renovated and had a very good breakfast spread. The room was nice and had extra pull out beds that helped us. However, the guy at the bar behaved very rudely - I went to warm up a cup of noodles and waited for a couple of minutes as there was no one in the reception area. Since no staff war around, I tried to use the microwave, then the guy appeared and started shouting. Insulted me by saying are you normal? Please get out... there are cameras here. As if I was trying to steal something from the bar. Just spoiled the good vibe I had for the restaurant.
I was so happy to find a large clean room with everything I needed. All the staff were friendly and I liked that my little dog was welcome. I signed up for your fidelity program and booked my second stay in a Best Western Hotel as well.
The staff was professional, polite and helpful. They made a difference to our stay. The lift are old, rattling up and down the floors. The corridor on the fifth floor was smelly and there was some left over trash lying around. Our room smelled weird, something between mould and urine. We wondered if a dog had stayed in this room. Bedding is on the hard side and pillows are uncomfortably high and firm. We picked this hotel as we had pleasant stays in other Best Western Hotels, but ultimately we were disappointed by Best Western in Saclay
I just stayed Best Western Plus Paris Saclay for 3 nights last week. And the room was warm and the air condition is not working as expected. After complaint to the hotel, there is no remedy action taken from the hotel.
Friendly staff who made an effort to speak English The restaurant was pricey with small food portions compared to American standards The bar had a good mix of drinks with huge TVs The breakfast was really good with a wide array of food and fresh orange juice
The condition offered was all right the only problem it's was the location a bit to far away from Paris we lost at least 40 min stuck in traffic but the rest overall we had all that we needed … good size or the bed very comfy
Overall a good experience, If I could suggest to work on the internet, a real frustration to have to reconnect twice per day. Also some work on the bar service. Beside this 2 points, BWPS remain a decent place to stay
Aside from their front desk, everything else was average, they did not take into account my preference for simple things and the staff in the restaurant hardly spoke any english. The dustbin near the elevator was not cleared for a week.
The room is simple but have all basic necessities covered. Breakfast very good and diversified. The social areas are good. A The restaurant could have more options on the menu (very limited options). If you are at an Executive Education program at HEC there will be no better option (the buildings are connected).
Extremely poor service, lazy staff and understaffed overall. They're just taking advantage of being the only hotel inside HEC campus. Also good quality is terrible. Surprised that Best Westerns is sacrificing their brand name!
The location at the entrance of the HEC Paris with direct access to Executive Education buildings makes it very practical and convenient for executive program participants. Rooms are big, well equipped and clean. Employees are friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel definitely.
Very nice and kind stuff, great breakfast and outdoor garden. Very good value for money, in case you have a car and can drive to Paris. It's only ~ 30 minutes drive to the top attractions in Paris. Would definitely go back here next time.
I want to thank GP and Ons for their great help. They're extremely helpful and always go out of their way to make my stay as comfortable and as pleasant as possible. They're the main reason why I choose to stay
best value for money, very good breakfast, clean, helpful personnel, car parking very useful in the area, calm and perfect for business and family. Best location, near to Versailles and HEC University.
Friendly reception with unfortunately many CORONA regulations. Beautiful hotel and well-kept rooms. Everything you need for a business stop! Maybe a next time in Paris in a Best Western Hotel. Thank for your Work in this times.....
The hotel is definitely comfortable and very convenient for HEC students. The room is quite and clean, the breakfast is fine and restaurant as well. The price is not cheap but definitely in line with other hotels in the neighborhood. I will stay at this BW again during my studies.
Nice hotel, nice staff, nice bar, nice restaurant, you feel good when you're in this hotel. It is just what you expect. Only negative side: there is absolutely nothing to do as it is in the middle of nowhere.
-customer-driven resort, from the reception desk to the room service-convenient location for HEC executive education participants-breakfast time limit from 10am to 11am would be appreciated,-as a good snacking formula for people studying at HEC school
The quality of the rooms was good, clean and large. Parking area was strange, since they indicate it costs 8 euro per hour, but in the end they don't charge you (or forget to charge you). Employees were friendly and breakfast ok.
Like its "sister" (?) hotel at Meudon, this is a better than average Best Western. Good service, clean and well decorated with a pretty good food offering - however, there is a sports type complex next door with an event going on that was rather noisy until the early hours
Definitely choose a “Plus” Best Western if you have no other choice, but I was not impressed with this hotel chain. While the “Plus” does give you a refrigerator option in room which is stocked with several items, but not sure if this is in all rooms as I booked an executive one. The instant coffee is disgusting. How can you be in Europe and serve such bad coffee! Step it up and get a Kerrigan or some pod system. The rooms are small but the heat can't be regulated, it was extremely hot. The water pressure in the shower was good and they did have face cloths and a small bar of soap & slippers! Staff at front desk was not friendly except upon checkout. It is 20 minutes from Versailles by car and I would recommend looking for something closer so you can walk around and see the city.
This is a very simple hotel but the entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, equalling the service of much fancier hotels. Also quite accommodating for babies. Downside is that the breakfast is mediocre and the room service food quite appalling.
Very friendly staff at check-in who spoke excellent English. The room was great, very clean and a nice bathroom too. The pillows were a bit too soft for my liking but the bed was comfortable aside from that. The WiFi is free and I found it pretty fast. I would stay here again.
My experience at Best Western: Poor customer service! They don't care about you! The staff at the hotel lobby lost my sunglasses. I got back to them three days in a row. They never came up with a solution and didn't even apologize. Their attitude raises serious questions about their capacity to address customers' problems. The item doesn't matter. It could have been a passport or something important. My recommendation: stay at a trustworthy hotel. There are options nearby HEC Paris.
Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst in France with work. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was very modern with a powerful shower. Only ate at the hotel for breakfast, selection was ok, with fruit, yoghurts, toast, meats, cheese, scrambled egg and sausages. Supermarket over the road to the hotel and a decent pizza restaurant is also opposite. Hotel was quiet, comfy and clean which is all I want when on business.
Quite area near business school and very close to Versailles. Not so far from Paris if you want a late dinner... even so you have a Pizza place cross street or Hotel restaurant that will suit your needs... Rooms very convenient for business stay.
I have consumed about 60 nights at this property in the outskirts of Paris. The main reason on my choice was the strategic position of this truly no frills hotel. Rooms are just perfect for this type of product: good size (I was pretty much always upgraded to an executive room, which differentiates for size and the presence of a couch) good shower pressure (although a walk in shower would be a plus) comfortable bedding and lighting. On the negative side I have to remark that the bathroom sinks work all very badly, the closets are extremely uncomfortable and small and that the cleaning is not always (some travelers could comment "it's France, and - at this level - this is the best you may get") acceptable, especially when it comes to bed sheets. As per the food and beverage side, as an HEC eMBAstudent I have granted access to daily buffer luncheons: here the creativity of the chef does not cope with the overall quality of the dining experience. I would suggest to propose more simple options with less frills, but more oriented to superior taste. The breakfast scene works just perfectly, but I would suggest to management to change the coffee machine which is extremely slow in preparing even the most simple "single espresso" as well as the quality of the coffee beans: the coffee really sucks! Regarding the fitness centre: the hotel has a tiny gym, where the treadmill broken in January 2016 was in the same conditions until February 2017. A plus is the little and clean sauna. What makes this property indeed different is its staff: both during day and night shift each member is always extremely nice, available and precise. In a world were artificial intelligence is becoming more and more relevant, the presence of a professional, smiling, and proactive staff is what makes a hotel standing out from others, even if I don't know if Jouy en Josas offers a comparable benchmark in terms of hospitality.
• I stayed two nights in the hotel one night in the basic room the other in the comfort room except from the price there is no difference between to both rooms. • The bar staff very unpleasant. • Restaurant manager and receptionist was professional.
I cant work out why this hotel only has a 3.5 rating on Trip Advisor This is a great hotel. Noted it is not ideally located for Paris but i was here for a meeting 5km away early the following day. I also only saw this hotel in the dark. Reception was pleasant & open. Greeting from staff was friendly & polite. Bar area downstairs was small but adequate. Drinks in these places are a little pricey & it would be good to see this addressed There is also a restaurant that looked good but we did not use Bedroom was A1. Very clean & it looked almost new. Shower was a good size but i did note that the shower head was close to my head & im less than 6ft tall. It was a good shower though. Room is one of the best i have stayed in Hotel was also quiet & i had a great nights sleep Price was also reasonable - approx €125 for the night. Good for Paris !!! I will stay here again when i have meetings in this region
Our room was clean and quiet. The staff speaks both French and English and were very helpful with us trying to figure out the public transit system. They were even able to store our luggage for us while we visited the Chateau Versailles.
I recently stayed at this hotel while visiting my son who is getting his masters of finance at HEC Paris. Location is right at the gate to the University and could not be more convenient. As well a very short drive into the center of the very pretty town of Jouy en Josas . I booked a suite, which was perfect so we had a separate living room with a desk and table for my son to study at, and the accommodations were very clean and well organized. The staff could not be nicer or more eager to please. In particular I would like to thank Ali who was able to arrange a late breakfast for my son and I. Will absolutely be staying there again for future visits, if I had one wish it would only be that they improve their workout facility. Other than that top marks all around.
Stopped off for a overnight stay before going onto Paris. Booked a triple/family room which turned out to be a pleasant surprise as the room was spacious with very comfortable beds and clean and functional bathroom. Wouldn't particularly recommend it for a longer stay as it is in the middle of nowhere and nothing to see or visit within walking distance.Caters principally for the business school over the road, a rowdy bunch who know how to have fun .... work hard & play hard. Nonetheless a good short stay hotel .... Recommended
Very conveniently located to attend a seminar next door. The staff was very friendly, although the checking clerk was not aware of a room change arrangement that had been made, and told me to change rooms in between my 2 nights. This was later corrected by the organizer of the seminar. The rate was not cheap for a hotel well outside Paris.
Stayed here once every two months for nearly two years & while its costly in comparison to other accommodation on campus its well worth it for location alone if your attending HEC. The rooms are basic, but clean & functional. The only real option to get to the hotel is by taxi If your travelling from GDG airport, don't try the RER!
We booked this hotel on a Saturday in August while driving back home. We booked through hotels.com, which resulted in an acceptable price for a room of 4 for our family (incl. 2 kids). This price was significantly lower than the standard prices advertised at the reception, which were in my opinion too high for this level of hotel. That being said, we had nothing to complain about: the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and there was a complementary mini bar. Breakfast was fine as well (free for the kids), but nothing exceptional. We did not use any of the hotel facilities like the swimming pool etc. There is a private parking at the hotel which was very convenient.
The hotel is very well located if you intend to go to HEC business school. Very convenient. However the price is too high for the level of services provided, especially given that the swimming pool is not available and you are not informed of that when you book!! And the rooms are relatively small for such a price. All in all - it is acceptable when you have no other choice.
New hotel, comfortable if you are in business trip for this area. I will not recommend for tourist visit. It is nothing else around the hotel, you need a car to move around. The swing pool was closed. The breakfast was average. The good thing is all the room is new (bed, chairs, bathroom ....) It was clean hotel.
We stayed there for a week and it was fine. One thing that could be better is the air conditioning could actually cool down the room. It was very warm all week. It is a good idea to rent a car while staying here as there is precious little in terms of restaurants and other services nearby. There is a supermarket which is good just over the road. All in all adequate
Stayed a couple of times during a recent trip. The housecleaning staff was good and a little eager (be sure to leave the "do not disturb" tag on the door if you have jet lag or intend on sleeping past 8:30am). Nice bar and decent restaurant. Location is away from main town (can be accessed from bus lines right outside of hotel) however, there is a low cost supermarket across the street and a decent Italian restaurant that is very popular. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a mini fridge and office work space. Overall a decent value.
I was put up in this hotel as I was visiting HEC for a couple of days, so I would say that is their biggest plus, i.e. if you are visiting HEC this is the only decent option which is right next door to their business school. The rooms were good, with comfortable beds. However service at this hotel lacked a bit, especially some of the staff were nowhere to be seen when needed. The restaurant was good for dinner, breakfast was adequate nothing to rave about. Not sure how much they charge for the room typically but I would not pay anymore than £75 per night if I was paying out of my own pocket. I would have rated this hotel slightly higher if it was a 3 star hotel.
Overall, I would expect more from Best Western (Plus) since this hotel is in need of updating and trades on the fact that it has a captive market and charges high rates accordingly for students and executives attending the HEC Campus. I stayed in total for 11 nights. The standard room (which I stayed in) was adequate. the bed comfortable - but the air conditioning was not working (apparently not operational in Winter/Spring). Some colleagues of mine stayed in Executive rooms and found the same experience. Noise in the corridors can be problematic with people entering/exiting the lifts, or when the cleaner(s) clatter around and do not seem to care about sleeping/studying guests. If you open the window for air then the noise from traffic from the road and/or delivery trucks to the hotel make it difficult to sleep at times. The restaurant is standard and the food expensive, the wine (by the glass) very expensive. The breakfast is good, but the breakfast area is often busy when everyone tends to eat at the same time, resulting in some queues and food and coffee not being replenished quickly by staff. Breakfast is extra (if not included in the price) and may be expensive. The gym is very small and has 5 pieces of equipment, with a male/female shower area just off the gym area (on 1st Floor). The small sauna is rarely switched-on, requiring you to request reception to switch it on before it can heat to optimal levels. The wi-fi is adequate, but signal strength can be intermittent. It is sometimes easier to use the HEC wi-fi (if you have a password). With no other hotels in the immediate area, Best Western is taking advantage of its dominant position on the HEC Campus - consequently, it does not have to give real value-for-money. Do not get me wrong, the stay is adequate but I believe Best Western can, and should, do better for its guests, many of whom are international travellers and executives that would not be impressed by this standard. Ultimately, the advantage of staying here is the proximity and convenience of being able to walk to/from the HEC Campus (with building X actually attached to the hotel).
Great location if you go to HEC Paris. Very good room, clean and with a big table to work. The bathroom is not very big, but enough and with a good shower. The bed is confortable. The restaurant is a bit expensive.
Nice rooms with all the required comfort, I appreciated the audio in the shower too and the coffee maker that is not always present in France. Restaurant: could a bit more of a variety of food, difficult menu if you are looking to eat healthy with vegetables. It is remote from Paris, so OK if you are working for a company in Jouy or at HEC.
The hotel is remotely located, most useful if visiting the HEC Paris campus right next door. The room was of the standard sort one would expect in a mid-range chain hotel. Clean, but nothing special. Breakfast - standard buffet. Fine. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. More sombre in the restaurant. The lunch and dinner left a lot to be desired; very disappointing food. If you are expecting the tourist trappings of Paris then avoid, but otherwise fine for local business.
This is not my first stay in this hotel and I used to be satisfy. But this time I'm really upset with the noise. Very easy to hear to door opening and closing same as if it was your own door. 6am big noise inside the hotel for 5min. Not sure what it was. That's really not good to have such noisy environment
Stayed here for New Year on a cheap coach trip. The hotel seems quite new, rooms are very good, large desk area which may indicate a target business clientele. Staff all very nice, but a disappointing breakfast, probably done on a budget for the coach parties staying there. A good hour or so into Paris from here so really not great for tourists....All that said, the hotel is very comfortable and a good standard
My partner and I stayed at this hotel as part of a new year's eve booking with coach travel thrown in. The journey to the hotel took nearly 45 minutes longer than it should have done because the sat-nav didn't show an underpass the coach was too big to go through so we had quite a de-tour. On arrival, we had a reasonably quick check-in then went to our room to dump our case before heading for the bar that had been kept open for us. Bar staff were cheery and welcoming despite the majority of our party, and others that arrived after, not attempting a single word in French. The hotel was full of English people whose ignorance was quite embarrassing. Breakfast was lukewarm and a strange mix of English and French. Croissant were, disappointingly, cold. The greed of our fellow travellers was, again, embarrassing. Piling their plates high with food they had no intention of eating. The bar was kept open late for our early return on new year's morning but we decided against it. Nice hotel. Shame about the visitors.
It's a nice hotel but out in the wilds a bit but has a supermarket over the road . The Rooms are quite nice the food is just ok nothing more it has ample parking but you would need your own transport here but all in all its not a bad place to stay and would use it again!
Having enjoyed my visit to the Best Western in Westport, Mayo, Ireland I was looking forward to my stay at this Best Western in Jouy en Josas, not far from Versailles. The hotel was light and cool, very pleasant as it was warm outside; our room was comfortable and clean. The receptionists were helpful and polite. Our evening meal was a disaster. We were given a menu and after forty five minutes when our order was taken we were told that nothing which we had ordered was available. Too many other disasters happened during our meal. This should have been a very special weekend for my nephew, sister-in-law and I. Best Western must address the problems in this restaurant otherwise their reputation will be permanently damaged.
The hotel is located just outside a charming village called Jouy-en-Josas, which is situated a 10 minutes drive from Versailles and a 30 minutes drive to Paris. There's a bus stop outside the hotel which makes it possible to go by bus and train to Paris. So the location isn't the best but good if you have a car and if you don't want to stay in Paris. One very negative thing is that it costs 5-10 EUR per day to use the hotel's parking, depending on how many ours you will use it. Very strange that a hotel with this location will charge you for parking. The hotel itself is good with a nice interior and fresh rooms. The rooms are pretty small and the bathroom is very small. Breakfast is good and you will find everything you need in the buffet. The hotel also has an own restaurant but we didn't eat here during our stay. Across the street there's a supermarket which is opened until 20.30 and also a restaurant serving mainly pizza and pasta. There's not much in the area and we selected this hotel since they have an outdoor pool and sunbeds. It's nice to be able to relax a bit and enjoy the sun between the exploring trips to Paris and Versailles.
I traveled on business and had very mixed experiences. Good point - quite smiley staff and decent accommodation and space (executive room). Bad points: In the morning there is not table prepared for breakfast. I choose my table and staff just relocated me. They have asked if it is OK. I said not really. Still moved me to very uncomfortable place where I had no chance to enjoy my breakfast. Second - I asked to get a taxi that accept credit cards at the reception. Very unpleasant lady driver first pretended she does not have terminal and after that pretending it does not work. Not speaking english obviously. When I tried to open door - because I saw colleague walking by and wanted to ask for support in translation. The crazy lady driver started to drive away while my door was opened. After that she drove me to cash machine to take the cash out. Third - breakfast again. Not a single table prepared at 8:30. Fourth - I tried again to ask for a taxi following morning - I have explicitly said to make sure that credit card is accepted. Guy from the reception called back that he cannot arrange taxi for me because the company is not accepting credit cards- just french cards. If I asked if there is any other company he can ask - he said no. It took me 3 seconds of online search to arrange taxi by myself without any french speaking ability. This is simply lack of customer service. Fifth - room service menu is absolutely poor. You can get mostly omelet or some fish surprise or steak., Very very limited choice. Painful if you are staying longer. I however really liked the guy working evenings in restaurant. Such a great smiley person. Sixth - I was working from hotel one day. I put on the door knob do not disturb. Someone called from reception if I do not require cleaning. I said that it is OK not to clean today. In 30 minutes - someone else is calling with same question... Big problem? No. But shows lack of communication among the staff. Seventh -wifi connection keeps dropping and you need to constantly relogin. Not pleasant during work if you are on the remote conference. Eight - very noisy in terms of lack of noise insulation. If somebody is at the corridor or room next to yours you will hear it very well. I will try other place next time. I travel to area quite often and I must admit that this place despite good first impression disappointed me greatly,. I will come to this place only if absolutely necessary.
Temperatures hitting up to 38 degrees in Paris we left for the weekend to this hotel with A/C and an outside pool. Not easy to access by public transport (taxi from Versailles) and nothing around but it was just what we wanted. Very helpful staff who chaged our room late at night as when we came back from dinner the room was still very hot as the A/C wasn't working properly. Also saw the waiters dealing very nicely and professionally with other rude guests (they were there on a conference) who didn't understand that the table they wanted was already reserved. They seemed a understaffed the first night we were there so service was a bit slow. We had an executive room, clean fresh and the sofabed already made up for our 4 year old. Lots of towels in a very clean bathroom. Breakfast buffet was extensive, although the cooked breakfast (sausages etc), wasn't cooked enough..sausages looked almost raw. We just ate poolside and apart from the grillade the portions are very small for the price. A "grand assiette" of tomato mozzarella was starter sized. All in all would recommend it and would return.
Stayed here with a colleague for two nights in early June. It's a comfortable hotel, clean and tidy, and adequate in every way, but very uninspiring. I have eaten here before but not this time. The food last time was similar to the hotel; ok but indifferent. I've stayed in much worse places around Velizy and Igny, and this hotel is at least very fair value. Advantages; has a nice, but small, outdoor pool. Very convenient for Bievres and Versailles, but in a quiet neighbourhood Disadvantages; soulless, expensive bar, they charge for car parking (although there is some free parking on the campus) The pizza place directly opposite is quite nice, but there is no other bar or restaurant nearby.
I spent three nights in this hotel and it is quite comfortable one. But some small things can be Really improved. For example, to prepare the room before the guest arriving, specifically when you come at 15:00 and the hotel is quite empty. The apartments doors are really noisy and when your direct neighborhoods arrived in the middle of the night, you will know it. But one really bad point regarding the parking that you have to pay : the location is Jouy en Josas, not Paris or London, come on ! But for the price, I would recommend this place.
A really nice hotel in a great location to visit HEC Paris. Went to visit my daughter at HEC and had a nice experience at the Best Western right on the campus. Clean, convenient, great location... I would most surely stay there again.
I recommend this hotel for anyone going to École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris HEC. 20 minutes in taxi from the Orly arport, or 6 minutes in bus from the Train Station at Jouy en Josas. Excellent service, good restaurant, reliable internet and good coffee and bar service.
