The room was okay even if the double bed was not confortable and the curtain broken. The area is nice and it is a good place to rest. Unfortunately i forgot my sport trouser in the room and it has disapeared despite asking for it a couple of days later. Very disapointing.
Lovely hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room was really lovely, and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, replenished daily. Breakfast was amazing. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
The environment was pleasant. The restaurant was stylish and excellent service with good choice of menu and really good food. The room was comfortable with a stylish decor but a little tatty with chips on furniture. That did not diminish our pleasure but needs attention.
Poor service, poor cleaning, no ventilation, lousy breakfast buffet, weak WiFi! The room was not properly cleaned between guests, bedsheets had permanent stains on them, towels in the bathroom was wet due to a leaking sink so they've started to smell bad. All mirrors were poorly cleaned and there was no working ventilation in the room, so even showering in cold water made the whole room damp. Parts of the staff were really friendly and helpful, the rest, not so much. They might think about a quick customer relation training session with parts of the staff, especially those manning the reception. The breakfast buffet does not live up to the price they charge for it and the quality of the food stuffs is mid-range! (Not something you would appreciate on a "four-stars" hotel) The WiFi does work, but don't expect any speed while surfing if there are more than you and a couple of other guests using it simultaneously… The hotel is divided in a "traditional" part and a new part, I was placed in the traditional part so my review is based on those rooms. According to other people I know have stayed at this hotel the new section has a higher standard than the "traditional" section! I will not recommend this hotel to anybody, next time I'm in the area I will choose one of the other hotels nearby (and of course write a review on that one!)
Just awful experience Uncomfortable beds, shower tiles wasn't clean, no English speaking staff, overcharged tax (couldn't resolve as they didn't understand) the rester-aunt had French only menu, no English translation, staff could not translate. Room wasn't cleaned one day, and no fresh towels, or water put in room. Breakfast was good! 18euros. Staff are friendly enough.
I,m shocked at previous bad reviews. We have just returned home from a National Holiday. The hotel was lovely. We booked our holiday on a bed and breakfast basis. There was a menu offered in the bar/ restaurant area every evening apart from Sunday were we offered a menu for room service only. The staff were all friendly. Anything we needed they would accommodate for. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is only a half an hours drive into Paris. I would definitely recommend. Thankyou for a lovely stay.
NOT RECOMMNDED!! The rooms were not cleaned properly, there were insects in the rooms and the air conditioner was not working AT ALL! Most importantly the service after reporting these issues was also very poor. There was always only one person (the concierge) who would respond to these issues after calling the front desk. After arriving hours after we called him, he refused to fix the AC and when he offered a different room it had the same issues. Our family had 2 rooms and was forced to sleep in this hotel for ALL 4 days with the windows open all night which allowed more insects and mosquitoes to come in. Our new years holiday experience was ruined as we could not rebook any other hotel as they were all booked out. The room temperature was unbearable during winter so i would DEFINITELY AVOID during the summer season as the hotel management do not know how to operate or fix their air conditioners. What was more irritating was how clueless the management was with the lame excuses of 'the temperature should be kept on 25 due to climate change' & 'just give it some more time to cool down' despite the fact that they could see the thermostat was stuck on fan mode.
I never taught we will experience racism now a days. One employee was very rude to us. His name is FRED from the dining area. Our transport was late to arrive the hotel, but the hotel was notified that we will have our dinner late. We have 15 minutes to eat as per the other waiters said and approved but this guy FRED started shouting and getting the food trays while some of our group was still getting their dinner from the tray. What an awful experience from this hotel.
We had a horrible experience with the hotel, 2 buses coming from Belgium..we had a package tour for 6 countries and this hotel is the only one who treated us badly . facts: we arrived at past 10pm for dinner, the food staff were still there and some of us still managed to put some food in our plate and some food intake when a French manager in charge of the food stopped us to eat. Our tour guide argued with this manager staff, but the latter said, your time is up when we have just arrived .I hope somebody manage to video the incident, but unfortunately all of us where hungry already, with some group members having kids and a baby, and senior citizens . Some hotel staff are new and doesn't know the address of the hotel, some are rude ...I suggest not to go to this Hotel..They are racist.. we didn't beg for food , as we paid them, but we were denied dinner when the hotel staff are still in the restaurant...
Overall OK, few more touches needed. Personal touch - welcome letter. No refill at breakfast - pretty bad, especially if products are consumed within the first hour. Rooms generous in size, restaurabt OK.
My review for the hotel it was a fine stay but the man at the desk was not That kind.. and i was suprised That i have to Pay extra deposit for the room.. because i already paid for the room! The room was clean and quiet.
The staff of this hotel is extremely unfriendly. You get the impression that their goal is to get you out of the hotel as quick as possible. They do no effort at all to make it their guests as comfortable as possible. Regarding the rooms: I found restaurant and train tickets from the previous guest on the table in my room.
It seems we entered a perfect storm when we stayed with several days of lift breakdowns / power cuts / air-conditioning problems and lack of hot water - not all every day but at least one on every day I think the hotel had been unlucky as some problems may have been outside their control with the exceptionally hot weather - but, it was the speed of getting things resolved and lack of communication that we both felt was very poor, plus the indifferent attitude from a few staff
Receptionist insisted on taking another 100 euro deposit even though I had already paid in full. I was promised this would be back in my account on the day I departed but it hasn't been so far. Room was good but only one pillow each. Was promised a forest view but got a car park view instead.
The hotel is located in a beautiful area, near a lake and with many options on hiking. A good parking area. Unfortunately we had to change our room twice - first there was a serious water leak and in the next room the air conditioning didn't work so we opened the window but woke up from mosquitoes. The restaurant was closed and we counted on it as the hotel is far from the city. The only option was room service. The gym has new equipment but without explanation or a guide so not easy to use. As well, there is a special key for it that has to be taken from the reception.
Near the city yet surrounded by nature! The rooms are spacious with modern amenities and great breakfast. We would be happy to visit the hotel in the future and would strongly recommend if one likes nature and stay away from the city noise.
nice people, great rooms.... forrest view rooms with balcony are highly recommended, very good food. Potental for improvement: Opening hours of the gym (at least form 6 am onwards) and lounge chairs on the balcony :)
In few words, the facility is very well appointed (it is rather new), in a very nice setting (I think it is surrounded by a National park). The service is excellent, breakfast and the en-suite restaurant are worth a visit. Very quite environment, not far from Paris but I may guess a car would be advisable
What a fantastic hotel, the staff couldn't do enough for me, this being my first ever trip in my life out of the U.K. and being a disabled person, the staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful, the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable.
Great hotel and very pleasant stay! Nicely located. Close to Paris and Versaille. We had a very comfortable room and spent superb evening at the bar serving tasty drinks. All in all we liked it very much!
Excellent service by the very kind and attentive receptionist “Minh” We were running late for a wedding reception and our room wasn't going to be ready until the ceremony would have been over. Minh did all she could to arrange for an early check in and ensured we attended the wedding in time. She is a credit to your establishment. The hotel is also very clean and tastefully decorated. We will certainly stay again if we were to come back to the area.
Nice new rooms and perfect breakfast and dinner. !! Pity parking is limited, and the entry to the garage is too narrow. Car chargers would be needed too to keep the planet clean. I can recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel but parking not lit & not secured. Large and pleasant room but impossible to find the right switch to turn off the light ===========> I had to remove the card. & a bit expensive considering the proximity to Paris
The hotel was great, clean, close to Paris, and the car parking was free. Everything was good in this hotel. The reception staff were very nice. There is also a restaurant in the hotel that serves delicious meals, but I do not recommend it for those who do not have a car, because the train station is not close.
Positive: restaurant was good. Neutral: breakfast is expensive. No coffemachine in the room. Negative: no glasses in the bathroom. I like to tuse some water after brushing the teeths. But without glasses no way. The sign outside the room indicated that is was a room for disabled persons., but the toilet is too small if you are handicapped. No grips at the wall to raise yourself.
Our stay was perfect. The front staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We had a van and he even came outside to help us park as it would not fit in garage. The rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable. Plenty of hot water and pressure in shower. Thank you for a lovely stay!
We were disturbed 4 times without knocking on the door, somebody simply came in. I went went out of the Room and told the Person to Respect the Room was occupied and she said that it was ok now. 2 times someone entered with knocking on the door. There was no room cleaning, the key card did not work and I had to go to the reception twice to be able to enter my room…..
Away from Paris location, there are no food on the night, the internet didn't work every time. The cost of the transporting services to the hotel are very high, if you want to know paris it is not a good place to stay
We arrived around 1900 hrs on a Sunday. There was one receptionist. We soon discovered he was the only member of staff on duty and a such had to run reception, the bar as well as deal with the myriad problems befalling numerous unhappy guests. The restaurant was closed. The first room we were shown to (apparently a “superior”) stank, had no pillow cases on the pillows and the armchair and wardrobe were broken. There was also uncollected breakfast trays in the corridor and a dog barking in a nearby room. Having insisted upon being given another room we were eventually shown a more modern room which, although smaller, did not smell unpleasant and appeared clean. After having accepted to change to this room we then discovered that there was still rubbish in the room and bathroom bins and that the stack of folded towels in the bathroom was actually not of clean towels but dirty and wet ones. These were replaced by the harassed receptionist. Given the non-availability of motor fuel we have had no alternative but to maintain our booking and presence here - otherwise we would have left soon after seeing the first room. Be very wary of staying here and probably best to avoid the “traditional” rooms
It was our first time at Best Western and we were surprised we never booked before. the hotel is charming, bedroom and bathroom very clean. king size and incredibly comfortable bed ! Nice breakfast as well.
Restaurant and bar with very friendly staff and great food, same for the breakfast, lots of choice and good quality. First room was good, but the second room we had on the ground floor not, not clean and many things broken, the room felt very old.
The hotel is in a lovely location, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was good for both dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately the room allocated to us in the older building was pleasant enough, except there was a unpleasant smell of drains in the room and corridor. Some bathroom fittings were loose. I have seen the bad smell reported in previous reviews, and this needs serious attention by management.
Our stay at the Meudon Ermitage was again very good. We have returned for the 5th time and this time was special. Through a mistake of our own, we had a big problem. The staff helped and was friendly and Professional at all times. We want to thank mr Beuve Mery especially, thank you for being so nice. It may, or may not be true that the Hotel it self could use a little more pollish but I never saw a more inviting garden, we celebrated every evening the bar (good cocktails!) was open. The breackfast is equally sensationell and where do you find people that make you a delicious ‚Planche' even after the kitchen is closed, or a lovely front desk manager that turnes on the sauna just for us? Not one time at one of our stays, did we encounter unfriendly personell. And lets be honest, the most beautiful Hotel meens nothing, if the people working there, do not give you the feeling to be wellcom. To us Meudon Ermitage is our Hotel whenever we are in Paris.
Very friendly personnel. Hotel is clean, updated and very nicely decorated. Very animal friendly, we came with our medium/large dog and he was allowed everywhere, amazing!! The room was big anough for my husband and I with our dog. The surroundings were very pretty with the very well kept forest to go for a run or walk.
We arrived about 19.30hrs on the 12th of August 2022, we had been told unroot, that there would not be any food available from the restaurant when we get there. Got room keys and made our way to room 115 on the first floor, on the way there we saw 3 dirty breakfast trays on the floor outside of the rooms. Into the room, adequate , but nothing special, the door handle on the toilet door, all the screws were loose, we reported this when we went down to reception, and also asked for another pillow, pillow was delivered to our room, but the toilet door handle never got fixed. Asked about having a drink, only a small ( expensive choice ) available at the reception, asked about the main bar and was told it was not open, but would be open , tomorrow ( Saturday ), we had to get a taxis to the Mall to get some food and drinks. Saturday down for breakfast, looked good, thought I would go for hot food, scrambled egg, sausages & hash browns, all luke warm or cold ( not edible ), cold food was ok. Got back from day out about 21.00hrs, yes the bar was open, had a couple of drinks. Went to be at midnight, no towels in the room for the morning, we had hung them up to be used again, went down to reception and saw the night porter, he took about 30mins to find me two more towels. Next morning, cold breakfast again, went out for the day to Paris , great trip, back to hotel about 21.00hrs, no restaurant tonight or main bar, got to room they had taken our towels again, no replacements, complained to the maid, she tried to hand me two bath robes, I said I want bath towels, she put me on the phone to reception, they told me they had run out of towels and that they are waiting for a delivery, I would have to use bath robes, ( why take my towels, that were hung up to use again, if they cannot replace them ) not happy. Sunday same again ,cold breakfast, day out to Versaille, brilliant day, back to hotel 16.00hrs, dirty breakfast tray on landing again, no restaurant, no main bar, breakfast tray still on landing the next morning when we got up at 06.30hrs. Hotel looks like it is running down , lack of staff, and facilities, no nice restaurant and bar to use as advertised. Would strongly not recommend this hotel, does not live up to the advert.
First, the location is kind of nice but I would guess you need a car to go around. Staff is very pleasant, breakfast abundant, the restaurant a bit too innovative for my taste and style. The room is OK and generally wider than typically in Paris. All in all, a good place for a business mission to nearby facility
I was there for 8 nights for Roland Garros Tennis Tournament. All in all it was a decent stay if not exceptional. The best part of the hotel is its staff. Exceptional staff. Every one I talked to and dealt with had great etiquette. Very well trained people. Where hotel failed me was the cleanliness and quality of the room. The comforter sheets were stained when I first entered the room. Very bad experience right there. Housekeeper came in and change the sheet but told that most comforters are like that. May be quality of the linen ? Safe was not working. It got fixed. Two days I noticed water on the bathroom floor and found out roof was leaking water. The four star hotel shouldn't have roof leaking water for guests travelling from abroad for week long stay. That got fixed eventually. I felt that building is getting run down and need up keep and maintenance for the hotel to be called 4 star hotel. This is not a 4 star hotel. It is a decent place and value for money if you do get a good rate.Breakfast was the best part . Excellent options , high quality food, great staff and I have to say best part of the stay for me. Everyone in the hotel is great in communication and etiquette however they can only do so much if the facility supports them. Hotel need more help at front desk. often crowded and they are overwhelmed. The mindset is to get the job done since they are so overwhelmed. Nothing over and above experience. There is a bus station walking distance from Hotel. Going to Paris is not a challenge from hotel. Coming back is a hassle because of how the transport works in the city and location of the hotel. All in all I very much recommend this hotel if you are on budget and looking for a decent place to stay to travel in Paris. Not a quality you should expect from Hotel in Paris so that you are not in for any surprises !!!
A last minute booking - recommended by a colleague. I was given a forest room - Nice view with a decent sized balcony, bathroom was OK with a good shower. Breakfast was comprehensive - even too much for me!! I wasn't there long enough to comment on more
When we've arrived, there was no shower gel in the room, no toilet paper. Leftovers from cigarettes standing in the ash tray on the balcony just near open balcony door, which made roome smell with cigarette butts. Coffee machine was in the room but no coffee. 2 reception ladies who were not busy refused bring what was missing to the room or send cleaning when I've asked - had to go myself. We were tired but couldn't get a dinner as we were told on reception that the restaurant is booked.
restaurant in hotel is good and proposal for food and wine follow the season and is super ! wine list is complete and collect white & red wine food plates are prepared with attention and waiters are professional and with a courtesy level high
The rooms are neat and clean, however should be more better for such a 4 star hotel. The lights on the wall against the head part of the bed were flickering. The lights need to be replaced. The receptionists were friendly. The breakfast is super. The shopping mall (Velizy 2) is very close, which is great if you do not need to go to down town Paris.
I was literally amazed about the friendliness of the crew:) It was such a nice time with an additional mushroom party surprise. The room was taken care of clearly with additional tea bags. Surely will come again.
Fantastic Restaurant with the most tasty dishes, true tasty traveling every time we Go on this spot. That became my very prefered spot since we est so well and the bed are such a good quality. We are always happy to come and rest very very well in this hotel very cautious about their client expectations. 20/20 for us !
No responsible staff at the reception No weekend cleaning service not available . No fresh breakfast. Deposited money is not released during the checkout. No clear instructions in the hotel website. No
Everything was OK - Location , price and front desk until I tried the wifi connection and access the internet ; whoa ; I have not seen a connection so bad , slow and inconsistent in a long while ! That make me drop the rating
Good for me... so it could be good for you if you want normal price , elegant stay and a perfect, very clean breakfast!! I liked it, clean, nice location, nice smell allover, elegant decorations... i recomand it!!!
I arrived on an early flight and although all other hotels accommodated me they simply had me sit in the lobby for 2.5 hours even though I told them I was feeling quite ill. They did not even try to accommodate me and said their cleaning lady wasn't near a phone. Do not go here!! I called the other Best Western a mile away and they got me a room immediately.
Very nicely located hotel with good parking not that far from Versailles and Paris. Very nice and friendly reception, good breakfast and snacks at the bar. Comfortable beds, though bathroom need some refurbishment. Good internet
Nice place to stay, seems to have had everything I needed. Great Staff. I would have liked the food to be better but all in all it was a good experience and I would stay again. My only issue is that every time I had to go there or go back to the office it was a mission. But thats not really the fault of the hotel.
Me and my colleague stayed here on tuesday the 6th august. We booked this hotel as we have stayed before and we liked the rooms. A couple of hours after checking out we both got a charge of 17.70 to our credit cards. I contacted reception and they said it was for the breakfast which we certainly did not have as we left at 6am....before breakfast had even started! I was told by the guy on the phone at the reception of the hotel that I had to email the reception. I thought this was a bit strange as I was already on the phone to them. As you can probably guess i have sent numerous emails and have just been ignored. I would avoid this hotel if you do not want breakfast as you will be charged for it anyway. So we are now 35 euros plus out of pocket with no one answering the phone or email. Certainly not what is expected from a best western plus!
A pleasant stay, efficient and friendly. I enjoyed the isolation and being able to walk through the forest and around the lake. There were snacks available which was welcome but the used cups and plates etc were not cleared away soon after use. This meant that arriving guests are greeted with messy coffee tables in the foyer.
The Hotel is as ususal great, some Things should be improved such as the Sport area. What is really great they have nice bathrooms and it is really clean. On some rooms unfortunately you see already wear which should be repaired
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights for biz meeting 2 - 6 June 2018. Front desk only manned by 1.5 staff so you need to wait in the line for check in and out. It was not a very pleasant stay having 2 fire alarm ringing in 2 different days without any announcement that it was a false alarm. The 2nd one triggered at 4 am in morning!. Bed room was OK with a large LCD TV and comfortable bed. Bathroom OK apart of me asking the front desk to refill the bathroom soap which should have been done automatically. Hotel location is far south of France nearby a forest so unless you don't plan to go around its OK. Breakfast is good.
I stayed at the hotel for one night for a business trip. Normally I stay closer to or directly in the city, but since the office I visited was also in Meudon, I decided to be more nearby. The hotel in and of itself was very pleasant. Clean, quiet, well appointed, and my room had a balcony which I really enjoyed! The only thing that brought the score of my review down, was the location in reference to finding a restaurant in the evening. This is no fault of the hotel, as such, but if you are looking for somewhere to eat outside of the hotel, do a bit a research. I did not, unfortunately, and I walked to the town area (about 10-15 min walk) and although there were a few places to eat, it was not really that great. In hindsight, it would have been better to take a taxi elsewhere to eat. Otherwise, I had a good stay and would recommend this hotel.
Best Western standards can, unfortunately, vary rather widely and we tend to be cautious of them these days - however, this particular hotel is of a good standard. Its only problem is finding the right "level" from the main lift - and its impossible to find the right staircase - with its 2 "wings" causing confusion
I was also part of the Just You holiday group who check in last Friday. Check in was slow but once we all had our keys we scattered and found our way to respective rooms. I was thrilled with my room - huge double room with massive (very comfortable!!) bed, a safe, large TV screen, plenty wardrobe space, fridge, coffee/tea making facilties, air conditioning, view over to forest and bathroom with an amazing huge bath with shower over. All spotlessly clean and looked brand new. What more could we want? Our meal on the Friday evening in hotel, although set menu, was excellent and service efficient. The sweet in particular was to die for!! Breakfasts were adequate for the number in our party although the last morning there was no fresh fruit and we could have done with a toaster for the brown bread they had supplied us with. On the Sunday night our itenerary didnt include a meal which I personally was looking forward to as thought we could eat out somewhere, however we didnt see anywhere around the hotel so eating in the hotel after a long day out seemed more appealing so a few groups got together and booked tables in the hotel restaurant on the Friday evening to give plenty of notice to hotel. As it turned out nearly the whole group ate in the restaurant which, although previously booked, didnt prompt the hotel to increase the staff numbers! There were only two servers and one lady taking the drinks orders and manning the payment desk. To me it was like Fawlty Towers and expected Manuel to appear any minute!! In fact one of the servers reminded me of him so much...! Isnt humour the best thing to dissolve a tense situation? The staff worked SO hard to cope with the numbers but when the food came it was delicious and of high standard although quite pricey for what we had. Hey ho it was the only meal we had to buy all weekend - so who's complaining!! Perhaps the hotel just have to improve their staff numbers which is a housekeeping/management matter which can be worked on. Jackie, our leader dealt directly with the hotel and I am sure for future groups the hotel will be better armed. As previous comment perhaps an included meal on the Sunday would be an idea....although again not everyone may be happy with that either? All in all, its a great hotel, fab rooms and public areas, great location for city and country - just needing to improve staff levels to cope with bus parties!! I do hope JY dont remove from their list of hotels in Paris (they have high standards and dont hesitate to change if hotels dont come up to scratch!) as once staffing problems solved this could be one of the best hotels they use!!
I would actually rate the hotel as 31/2 stars. There are definitely more positives than negatives. Arrived at the Hotel on a Friday as part of a Just You group. Check-in was a little haphazard but once I eventually got to my room it was terrific. Lovely comfortable bed and I had a bathroom with a bath and a small balcony which overlooked the outside seating area and the forest. There were also tea and coffee facilities in the room and I think I saw a machine near to the bar as well. I had a problem with my to remote control. They did their best to deal with it but it was a busy weekend for them and I had films on my iPad. The set meal on Friday night was very tasty and as part of the group holiday we had a welcome drink and they actually let me have a second glass for free as well which I took in to dinner. We were in a separate room for breakfast every morning but that was fine. The breakfast was actually fine for what it was although there were some items missing such as jam and marmalade on a few occasions but the croissants and pastries were very tasty and there was a hot option as well. The only real let down was our meal in the restaurant on the last night but it was a shortage of staff more than anything. As there is another group due to go this Friday for the bank holiday weekend they are trying to organise a set meal for the last night for €20-25 possibly €30 if they throw in a bottle of table wine into the price which would be very reasonable. It is more a hotel for people doing business in Paris as it currently stands but with the slight tweaking I would improve my current rating up to at least 4. Having problems being able to rate sleep quality and location so Sleep Quality 5/5 Location 4/5.
I stayed here in June 2017. The hotel was modern and clean. Check in was quick and efficient and the room comfortable with a nice view looking into the forest. The food in the restaurant in the evening was good but nothing special. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment. Not sure there is much to do to in the surrounding area (apart from the forest) as you may have to get in a taxi or car to go anywhere.
Me and my friend arrived at the hotel quite earlier than check in a lady named Nadia helped check us in early without any further costs and was very friendly and polite. The place looked so pretty like it was just made recent and was very clean. So we went into our room and it was really spacious the bed was one of the most comfiest bed I've slept in. The toilets was also done up quite modern. The window was the downfall but that is something minor. Clean room quite room. Nadia was very good she went out her way to help with everything we had asked for. If I was to return definitely would love to stay here again.
I have stayed at this very nice hotel a couple of times, and I have been very pleased both times. My room was spacious, with a very comfortable double bed, and a modern, well equipped bathroom. On both occassions my room was clean and well presented. I also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant on my visits and I am delighted to advise that the menu choice is very good, the service excellent and the quality of food outstanding. I will definetely be visiting again on my next trip to Paris.
We booked two rooms for five nights costing £1,000 between Christmas and New year. The hotel looked nice and well presented and not far from outer metro stations and shopping centre etc. Arrived and checked in. Quickly realised we were given the wrong room selection (two doubles instead of one double and one twin). Managed to find two rooms on same floor and went up. Double was ok but twin had been smoked in. Returned to reception to request different room and given two rooms on the next floor up. Single was ok but lock on double wouldn't work. Went down to reception again to get new keys, but they still didn't open the door. Duty manger opened the room and said the keys might work after a while. This wouldn't work for us, as we would need staff to open our room each time. Even though the hotel was empty, they could not offer any other rooms on the same floor, so we had to stay on different floors and then move to the same floor the following day. Not ideal when we needed to be close to our dependants. In the morning we went for our complimentary breakfast. There were pastries, bread and cheese, which were ok. We were disappointed with the hot food selection, which consisted of some bacon, chicken sausages and wet scrambled eggs. You could boil your own egg but no fried of omelettes on offer. On our 5th day the bain-marie for the hot food was not turned on. I mentioned to it to the lady on duty and she switched it back on and suggested I wait 10 mins. After 25mins it was still cold and breakfast had ended, during which I had some bread and pastry only. I enjoy a hot breakfast if I can and was assuming it would comprise more than there were. It's possible to squeeze your own juice, which we did. My wife put her plate down and after a few minutes of juicing, turned around and realised other guests had been pinching items off it and putting them on their own plates! We didn't see who did it otherwise I would have accosted them. Rule of thumb, if you see sliced bread on a plate, it's had an owner - the person that sliced it. The rooms were not facing the road so were quiet. The view of the ‘forest' double overlooked woods, however the view of the ‘forest' twin room overlooked the undustrial area of a high school. It's a really bad view, and as all the twin ‘forest' rooms had the same view we had to put up with it. Probably wouldn't be a problem if we were there for a short time and didn't enjoy sitting down with a coffee looking out of the window. The housekeeper knocked while we were getting ready at the beginning of our stay, and we requested she return a little bit later - once we were out. She didn't come back. After a two days I went to reception to inform them our rooms had not been serviced. Our sheets were not changed during our entire 5 night stay and no dusting or vacuuming was done. My wife and got tired of being ‘those guys' who always go to reception and inform the staff of basic things. So we didn't mention about the cleaning after the 3rd day. I had to go to reception again to get a new key as it stopped working again. We ate out as we didn't find the restaurant economical, however we ordered room service one night for our son to eat, so we could go out as a couple. Apparently the food was ok and he put the tray outside once finished. This was on our fourth night and that tray sat outside the room waiting to be collected even after we checked out. The reception staff were generally friendly. They kindly printed some tickets for us and helped where they could. We will be coming back to Paris in the near future but I don't think we will return to this Hotel. We are used to Holiday Inn and have not had these types and frequency of problems before.
We had traveled to two countries prior to our stay in Paris. We rented a car in the other countries and decided to only use public transportation during our Paris visit. It was a good decision. We arrived very early, due to flight schedule and expected to wait a few hours for our room to be available. The Hotel Associate, Minna, was exceptional. She expedited our room check-in, by reaching out to house keeping. The restaurant was closed so she helped us order in food from a local food establishment. She was able to find some tools to repair a luggage malfunction and then helped us navigate access to public transportation. Truly exceptional service. Other hotel staff interaction supported that this Best Western takes pride in their service. The environment at this hotel was quiet, charming and very clean. We liked the fact that the Hotel was built around a Chateau and kept the integrity of the original building. It was a nice blend of old and new. Regarding access to public transportation: It is a short walk to the bus stop. Bus leads to a Transit center with easy access to Paris via both buses and a well organized and managed metro system. The bus to the hotel operates all hours from the transit center. The restaurants around the village were limited and not very good. After two disappointing meals we decided to eat the rest of our meals in Paris. We did have the breakfast buffet at the hotel, which was a good value, with great variety and good quality offerings. The restaurant is bright, modern and very comfortable. We liked the fact that the restaurant offered a good value dinner menu but our time in Paris, did not give us an opportunity to check out the chef. Finally, we asked for a late check-out and the hotel was very accommodating, even though they were expecting to be totally booked by day's end. Overall our experience with this hotel was highly satisfying. We would book with them again, if we ever make it back to Paris.
The hotel is in a good location in relation to Paris, it isn't too far away from central Paris. However on the journey there it took a while to find as it isn't well sign posted. Check in was speedy and our rooms were clean and presentable. However there are no drinking glasses in the room, and there are not enough tea and coffee provided. The hotel restaurant at night is on the pricey side and has a lack of selection. We were planning to eat out every night already, but not on the first. Instead we went to hippopotamus restaurant up the road which does excellent steak and is better value. At breakfast the price is much more reasonable and there is a good selection to choose from. Unfortunately the facilities at the hotel didn't always work. We were told the sauna was open but when we went to it, it wasn't working. Not the worst place i've stayed in but I doubt I'd come back!
Very old structure with several renewals in times so the Hotel has mixed looks but is very cosy and enjoyable. Even the entry is pretty, it looks to be hidden in the middle of the forest. The restaurant is good, but a little bit too gourmet for my taste. It is a little bit outside of the network so public transportation is not good here. Best it to use taxi or car rental. Many rooms for meetings, can be good for business.
Stayed for one night Room was big and very convenient, bed was ok. It's correct for an overnight stay, well maintained and clean but doesn't feel cosy. Reception was helpful and nice. Did not use the restaurant or the breakfast. Location is very cool, close to Paris and the main road and it's close to the forest so it feels good.
The hotel is located just outside the Meudon Forest, and next to the motorway. The rooms are comfortable but not necessarily up to the 4 star standards. There was a bad smell last time I was there, and the bathroom and toilets were not very clean. Would still recommend it, for someone who doesn't have high expectations regarding the quality standards.
It's not the firt time I'm staying in this Hotel, before everything was OK but this time I got a room at the 3rd floor which was really bad (although cleaned as usual). The roof-window wasn't working and the shower was difficult to use (few amount of water, door broken, etc.). I suggest to ask before which room will get and/or be prepared to ask for a change. I will anyway go again in this hotel, but with the above in mind.
Warm welcome, facade, reception and restaurant tastefully renovated. Food ok but nothing special. Room old fashioned, loveless. No minibar. Breakfast very good. Location ok for business in Meudon/Vélizy. For holidays too far away from Paris center and no metro connection.
Stayed here on business and had enjoyable stay of 2 nights. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Stayed on the older side of the hotel yet understand the newer side is nice but I wouldn't be concerned either way! Our business group had an arranged dinner also in the hotel one evening which was held in a separate suite to main restaurant it was a nice touch and the food was stylish and quite tasty.
We were booked into this hotel as we weren't able to get into a hotel in Velizy nearby. The place was a pleasant surprise and offered much in the way of comfort especially as this was a work trip. The room was well appointed despite being slightly dated. I was located in the older section of the hotel as the newer 'forest' side was quite full. Despite being adjacent to a rather busy highway I could detect no noise at night and had four nights good sleep. The hotel restaurant which we tried one evening was a tad ordinary and short in supplies of the more poulare dishes on the menu. Service throughout was very good and when I requested an electrical extension lead one was found and loaned to me for the duration of my stay. The hotel is within walking distance to Velizy on a dry day and within walking distance to a few nice restaurants in the evening.
I have never been impressed by BW in the past. But this BW was very clean, chic and modern. It took my private tour guide 15 minutes to drive there. My room was spacious, the bedding and linen were comfortable and clean. There was a security box and a electric kettle. The latter was to my surprise, a rare item in Europe. I had to pay €1 for a cup of hot water every time I needed a hot drink in a couple of the hotels I stayed at during this Europe trip. The breakfast buffet was top notch for the price we paid . It has a warming plate to heat up the pancakes, a juicer to make fresh orange juice, a egg boiler to boil eggs to your liking. A good variety of cheese and cold cut, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs and so on. Check out was fast. I would recommend this BW, to those who go with a private tour or who drive. I noticed there was a shuttle bus and the receptionist was booking taxis to go into city center of Paris for the customers.
Good business hotel near Paris. I had read some reviews before booking, but I would say that it is actually better than what many wrote. I cannot fault it in many areas: quiet rooms (forest side), very clean, good beds, well equipped bathroom, good selection of TV channels, good wifi. For me only the pillows felt a bit too large/hard (I prefer soft/small). The breakfast, however, was a great disappointment (just like many reviewers had written). It is mostly a "bad carbs story" with very little excitement. And it is certainly not worth the price, so it's best to have a good dinner the night before and skip it (or have it elsewhere). For a 4* hotel they've got to do better than that.
The hotel is situated in the outskirts of the small town of Velizy, within driving distance from Paris downtown. Whereas its location might require a car or other transportation for Paris sightseeing, the location works very well for business trips to Velizy without the hassle of a rental. The hotel offers a very well organized and effective shuttle service in the morning, and while other hotels do not provide such service (which means walking in the rain) or a service with a very unpredictable schedule, Best Western Meudon, always takes me to where I need to be in the morning, on time. The distance from Velizy center, might first put one off, but it shouldn't. From the Velizy center a taxi is €11 (which is mainly the show up fee), two bus lines stop just outside the hotel from the center, which is a great low cost option to get to the hotel. Walking by foot is not a bad option either, depending on your pace, an 8 to 13min walk takes you there. In case you do have a rental, one of the more well kept secrets is the large underground hotel garage, free to use by any guests. Easily accessible, clean, lit up and with lots of free parking space. I have stayed at the hotel a few times and I guess one can say I'm well recognized by now, though what strikes me is that during my very first stay I did get the very same warm welcoming as one would expect a regular visitor be given. The friendly welcoming and efficient handling was one of the major reasons I returned a second time and ever since the hotel staff have continued to deliver beyond what I'm used to at other hotels. Rooms come with different styling depending on where in the building they reside, in the old more traditional part of the building or the new part of it. In common for them are that they are clean, comfortable and equipped with all what one needs for a stay during a business or leisure trip. The breakfast served in the hotel includes many different options and will give you a great start of your day. All the staff working at the hotel restaurant are genuinely interested in your well-being and with a smile, will serve and help you out. Not all master English, which however usually do not cause any major issues. Things work out. Lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant is usually also a very good experience. Since some time, the hotel more frequently updates the menu, which is greatly appreciated by a regular… The menu includes a variety of fish, meet and greens, so most people do find something for them. It was a while ago now, but I have had some desserts that were not on par with the starter and main course. The desserts might have been updated since then. There is a well-equipped hotel bar too. It's great if you want to chill out, if you are more after a pulse it will let you down a bit. Besides the hotel guests not a lot of other people find their way to it. The noise from the nearby highway can possibly disturb a few, me personally not. Instead, I do appreciate the short entry and exit to the highway for further transportation. The trees and wood behind the hotel and with that, mosquitos can cause some irritation in the fall if one insists sleeping with windows open. The mosquitoes are harmless and can easily be avoided by using the AC instead, which works well. As expected these days, the hotel upgraded their WiFi a year ago, and now offers a free of charge connection with a very good bandwidth and low latency. So, overall, I'm very happy to recommend the Best Western Meudon hotel. I stop by regularly, enjoy my stay and always come back. I'm sure the welcoming and friendly staff will make your stay as enjoyable
We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Although quite far from Paris (around 30mins by Uber) we enjoyed the quiet environment, clean room (stayed in a big family room) & quite good service from the reception staffs. If you only need a place for bed & breakfast only (most of your time is for wandering out on holiday) but you want to enjoy quite nights, then this is the place to stay. Make sure you don't return to hotel when it's dark.
If you need to organize a meeting outside of busy Paris but still close by, this is an excellent choice. The only problem many of our participants had was that we were more close to Orly than to Charles de Gaulle, but many of us came in through CdG. There are rooms on the park side and these are very quiet and relaxed - just a very good preparation for the meeting you need to attend. Breakfast and dinner are excellent, and especially the buffets prepared for group lunch were great. Dinner was a bit of a disappointment as the restaurant has more to offer and the choice for dinner was limited. All in all a good stay. When you leave, be sure to book a local taxi as the hotel orders taxis to come from the city center, which adds to their cost. Or in any case, discuss this with the front desk so as not to be surprised by the taxi when it comes time to pay the bill.
Our tour company had been disappointed with the standard of the hotel they had used for a a previous trip so changed to this hotel at the last minute. I am so glad they did as the service and food were excellent - far superior to the usual fare encountered on coach trips. We stayed in the forest (modern) side of the hotel and the rooms were good. A very comfortable 6 foot bed (memory foam I think) and a clean bathroom with a large walk-in shower made our stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were excellent with cooked English and/or continental, lots of fruit, delicious breads and even smoked salmon! The 3 course set evening meal was well cooked using good quality ingredients and they were able to cater for various food intolerances and allergies without a problem; they do of course need prior notice. The only down side for me was the desserts which I found very sweet, but I'm sure some people would find them delicious, however some of our party did have fresh fruit instead. The drinks at the bar were expensive as were the bottles of wine, but there was a never ending supply of still or sparkling water provided by the ever diligent waiters. We had a coach to visit Paris and Versailles etc but I am not aware of any public transport to Paris if you are visiting with a car. Would I choose to stay here if I was holidaying alone? Well probably not for any length of time as it is rather isolated, expensive and there is really nothing to do apart from watch the large screen TV. I believe there are forest walks behind the hotel but it is on the main road between Paris and Versailles so there is no local entertainment or village centre. However for our purpose it was an excellent choice.
stayed there the 29.06. - 30.06.2016. the hotel looks good from the outside. and it looks good from the inside. it has a secured undergrounded garage (free of charge). I heard is has an "old" part and a "new" part, and I was unlucky, I was situated in the old part (well, i think this was the old part, it can not be new i think..) depressive furniture, colours, bathroom. And this for 160 € + 16 € breakfast... if i could get a "new!" room i think the price would it be worth, but for the old ones... no thank you. In addition a reception without any charme, only with the minimum of kindness, no reason to come back again. the staff while breakfast were friendly.
First time stay at this hotel. Very helpful staff. Restaurant is very good although i wish they have some additional selection for vegetarians. Very easy access to local transportation to get to city.
The outside looked so promising, and the lounge area is really nice. Then we squeezed in the elevator and I had to pass several doors with my small suitcase before I finally find my room in the "old hotel" a long way down the hallway. The room was all but modern, and the bathroom hopelessly ordinary with the typical hotel hairdryer - noisy and inefficient. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant late in the evening. It was a very nice dinner! The restaurant is in a charming old building with untapped possibilities when it comes to interior design. The lightning is a catastrophy, no comfortable lights at all, and the furniture are very worn and hopeleesly outdated. A dream for an interior designer to dig into, but right now not very welcoming for quests. We were there on business as we have a subsidiary in the area.
Best Western Plus Paris Meudon Ermitage is a lovely property literally on the edge of the famous Meudon forest. There are many offices and businesses nearby, and the hotel shuttle is very helpful in dropping people off there. They also pick up after work, and one day the hotel Director himself drove because there was no other driver, so that is a mark of great service. Generally, service at the hotel is very responsive, from the reception, to the restaurant, to the shuttle drivers. Their restaurant L'Ermitage was an exceptional find, it offered innovative dishes like risotto with saffron ice cream (it was delicious, I should note). This restaurant has existed since 1895, and is in a league of its own. My room was large, with a nice sofa in a separate living room-type area. The bed was large and comfortable. I also had a lovely balcony, which I regrettably did not use much, despite a nearly week-long stay. The breakfast was nice, with many European choices, fresh fruits, jams, amazing yogurts, eggs, and pancakes. The breakfast is served in the L'Ermitage restaurant. Wi-Fi was very dependable. The hotel is also within 15-20 minutes of Versailles. I saw many tourists there that seemed to be at this hotel for vising Paris, which I found strange as there are so many hotels in Paris, albeit their rooms will likely be much smaller. We did go to Paris by car a couple of times, and it was easily half an hour to get to the center of Paris. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, loved its restaurant, and would highly recommend it for visiting the Velizy, Meudon areas.
Very much enjoyed a lot about this hotel. We had a forest facing room which was spacious and, it felt, newly decorated. First room we went in, while non smoking did smell of cigarettes. Possible that a guest had been smoking by the doors to the balcony rather than being outside as it has been wet and unseasonably cold. Anyway we were moved to another room, which was great. The dining room was again pleasant and service was very efficient and friendly. Weirdly, despite there be in several beers on the menu none were available. The dinner did feel 'regenerated' and lacked seasoning, and was therefore expensive for what it was. Breakfast was good. Location good for what we wanted, but as we were not going into Paris can't really comment on that, other than that there were bus stops and various train stations nearby.
Dear reader, I stayed here during a business trip to Velizy. This hotel was cheaper than the ones in Velizy and the pictures on the websites looked nice, so i decided to give it a try. In my opinion, this is a hotel with some ups and downs. Let's start with the ups. The breakfast room looks exclusive and I felt at ease here. The size of the buffet is a bit small to justify 16 euros but the food tastes good and they have a great choice of Bio Tea. And typical french: the pastries are heaven. I also liked the fact that the hotel has a fitness room and a (small) wellness area. I tried the rowing machine and the bycicle. I had to stop rowing after 5 minutes because the strap holding the right foot in its place, was broken and it was dificult to row without the support. The bike is of an unknown brand and was ok. They have one sauna which is ok because not a lot of people seems to be using this area. In the evening around 8 i went to the sauna and there was one other person in there and nobody was working out in the gym. In the morning, I was the only one in the gym. Also positive is the free parking outside. I dont know if they charge for the garage. The staff is also friendly. Now to the downside. When you look at the pictures the company posts on websites like Tripadvisor, Booking and co, you might feel betrayed when you are given the keys to the traditional room. This is a nice word for the old part of the hotel. When I entered this part, i felt like entering and old fashionned english hotel. Like someone else noticed, the room is big but not the most cosy. And it was my first hotel with blinds. I dont know if the old part and new part use the same gym. The area is used was in the old part. You can also hear your neighbours so i understand the comment from another reviewer that a room next to the elevator can ruin your sleep. Luckily this was not the case for me and i slept very well. I sleep with earbuds so i wasnt woken up by the neighbours. I liked the bed. Not too hard and not too soft. I would give the hotel 4 stars for the new part but since i slept in the old part, i give it 3 stars. Maybe tripadvisor should think about splitting up the reviews: one part for the new hotel and one for the old hotel. I didnt think that the hotel was dificult to find with a GPS and there also signs next to the road. The WLAN is not so slow as described in another review.
We were looking for a place to sleep after a late flight into CDG Paris and an early departure the next morning for Versailles. We wanted to avoid the higher prices of Paris and also wanted to get a headstart on the visit to the Palace. As a result, the Ermitage was chosen for price and location. The price was reasonable and the location turned out to be a short (15-min) drive to Versailles. Good points: quiet location, comfortable mattress, clean room, good size. Business clientèle mostly. Restaurant. Weak points: make sure you have a GPS to get there. Food was adequte but not memorable, dining room decor bland and depressing (not a dealbreaker, but still...) and an unjustified 16 euro breakfast fee to which we said "Non, merci" and instead stopped for coffee and pastries in a little town on the way to Versailles. Not sure I'd go back.
I spent one night in the hotel for business. The location of the hotel is really awful: it is right next to the highway and if do not have to go there for business, I am not sure why you would pick this hotel. When I checked in, I specifically asked for a room towards the forest (because others told me to do so) but was told that the hotel was fully booked and that they only have what they call "chambre traditionelle" ("traditional rooms). The hotel room was very depressing. It was quite big, yes, and it was clean, however, the overall atmosphere was really sad. Old brown furniture, a brown carpet and a brownish/whitish bathroom. The view was directly onto the highway. In addition, I got a room that was right next to the elevator. When someone took the elevator, it was so noisy in my room as if the elevator came directly through the room. The air in the room was quite sticky and warm, I could not open the windows because of the noise of the highway (even though it would not have a difference because I anyway could not sleep because of the noise of the elevator). The only reason why I do not give only one point is because it was clean and the staff in the restaurant was extremely friendly. And may be the experience is different if you are in one of the new rooms towards the forest. However, I will probably not find out myself as I will try to avoid the hotel if I can.
Lovely modern suburban hotel, but extremely difficult to find without GPS. This hotel is not suitable as a base for exploring downtown Paris, it's much too far by car or bus to the metro and then it's 10+ stops and several transfers. This seems to be a nice business hotel in a business/bedroom community on the edge of metropolitan Paris. Somehow we read the reviews on Trip Advisor to say that this is closer to downtown Paris than it is, and that it's a good suburban base for exploring the city. It's not!
Driving, from UK, down to the Creuse, via Paris, after dropping off an exchange student, stopped at this lovely hotel overnight. As we have a dog sometimes difficult to find hotels to accommodate. We had ground floor rooms, with their own patio, opening onto an enclosed grasses courtyard. Great for Roo to run around in. Rooms 23 to 26, all open onto it. Rooms are well sized, comfortable and in great condition, good facilities. Great evening meal and excellent breakfast. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.
The hotel is located just outside of Paris. You can reach the hotel by metro + bus. OK better if you have a car but even if you take the public transportation, it is worth the travel time (the bus stop is in front of the hotel). Positive things about the hotel: - CLEAN room and bathroom - spacious room - big comfortable bed (and when I say comfortable bed it means you will wish that the nights are longer so you have a good reason not to wake up yet) - spacious bathroom even so the toilet and bath are together it did not bother me at all because of the space - good aircon in the room *very important especially now that it is very hot here in France* - - the furniture are well chosen, modern design - very quiet at night even if you leave your window open (it helps that the hotel is located at Meudon Forest) - the breakfast! A wide range of breakfast choices : hot and cold buffet. A variety of food that you will forget about your diet girls! :) - the hotel personnel are nice and always ready to help. Negative things about the hotel: - nothing unless you don't like to compromise taking the metro + bus to reach the hotel (if you don't have a car) BUT in exchange a very good quality hotel near Paris then you should consider. ***we stayed for the weekend there's public transportation on Saturdays and Sundays***
We had a devil of a time getting to this hotel using a navigation system but liked it a lot after finally getting there. I wish we had a decent map when we first arrived. However, the room was very clean and well designed and beds very comfortable. The location turned out to be great for visiting Versailles. I think the the hotel would do well to provide written directions and a simple map to make it easier for guests to find their way to and from the hotel and Versailles. There is a fairly simple way to get there by bus as well, which runs every 15 minutes even on weekends so that is a possibility. The breakfast spread is really good with a lot of variety (it costs 16 Euros). We had dinner there one night and the food was very good and the prices very Parisian.
We had a quaint room on the 3rd floor, complete with a motorized skylight window. The room was clean, and the pillows were substantial. The bathroom had full size body and hand soap in pump bottles. I would give the hotel 5 stars, but the front desk folks aren't as helpful as the should be to foreign guests. We ordered a taxi to go to the airport. When we got in, I noticed the meter was already at €27. The cab driver said since the is no taxi depot in Meudon, they have to come from another town, and we have to pay for that travel time. She said the hotel should have told us...yah! We could have dragged out bags to the city, and then caught a cab.
I've stayed at this hotel for a conference. The hotel itself is beautiful, outside and inside. It got recently renovated and was newly furnished. The room was great! Very spacious, with a flat screen, mini bar, W-Lan, water kettle, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The bathroom was clean and provided enough room for 1 or 2 people. The restaurant of the hotel was good. I've had dinner one night and ordered the salmon, which was amazing! The price is not cheap but there's not a lot around the hotel that you could reach by walking, so if you want to safe the taxi or bus costs, then you cannot go wrong with having dinner at the hotel! The breakfast was good as well. Again, I'm a big breakfast person and I know that French breakfast isn't very hearty. However, the breakfast did have a quite big variety of foods, including hot breakfast choices like scrambled eggs, beans, stuffed tomatoes, and porridge. Also, cold cuts, cheese, many different sorts of jam, marmalade, Nutella, honey, salmon slices, etc. There was baguette (of course!), rye bread, rolls, fruit, fruit salad, yogurt, milk, cereal, muesli, and small baked goods, which is very French. All in all, the breakfast variety was great, however, the eggs were cold every morning and even when I asked the waiter to heat them up again, he didn't understand what I meant. (I don't speak French..). That was quite disappointing. Also, there were only 2 coffee machines for all guests, so there was quite some traffic when there were more than 8 people eating at once. The machines were right by the buffet, next to the fruit salad, so even if you didn't want coffee or tea at this time, you still had to wait to reach most of the buffet items. The location of the hotel was far outside from everything. I've walked around a little bit and found a small supermarket but it was quite hidden and you had to wonder through the streets. For shopping, bars, and restaurants, as well as sight seeing, you'd have to take a bus, or taxi to get there. Paris is a little far away, Versailles is about 30 minutes by bus, but I took the bus organized by the conference and not the public transit, so I am not sure how this works in this area. All in all, the hotel is beautiful. The renovation and futuristic interior make it a very comfortable and quite luxury stay. The location is not great due to the distance to shops, restaurants and sights. However, if you're looking for a nice quiet time to take a deep breath or enjoy time as a couple, I can definitely recommend this very nice hotel.
