Best Western Hazlet Inn

Needed a hotel near family and this BW was the most convenient. Clean and friendly staff. Updated rooms. No issues at all. Close to dining options. Will use this when I need to travel to the area again

This hotel has some of the best staff anywhere. All very friendlyy and ready to help with whatever you might need. Any time i asked a question, they took the time to answer and not rush. Have stayed 3 times in the last three months

I stayed at this hotel for the past few years on Thanksgiving Day. I have family in the area that we celebrate with. Its a perfect location that has many eateries to choose from. There is a Starbucks located a very short walking distance from the hotel in case you choose to get their coffee.

We stayed for a family wedding. Excellent customer service and great stay. Great location and many amenities available We stayed for easy access to wedding hall for a family wedding. Check in and checkout service was excellent and easy.

I spent a week at the Best Western in Hazlet, NJ recently. I found the hotel very clean, the service was EXCELLENT, and the price was great. Breakfast was wonderful: Waffles, scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, and potatoes were delicious. WIFI service was spot on. Close to everything! Will definitely stay there again.

poor internet. Many sites could not be opened. Slow. Room was clean. It is a good location with easy access to Route 35. Breakfast center was too crowded. Close to Shop Rite and COSTCO. A microwave would make this a better experience.

We stayed one night because we were attending a concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center, which is located in Holmdel, New Jersey. Overall, our stay was fine. The layout of the room was somewhat unusual. The sink and countertop were at the door. The refrigerator was completely on the other side of the room.

Checked in late on a Thursday night and was immediately greeted by a cockroach on the bathroom door. I killed it (first picture) then back down went to the lobby to request a new room far away from that room. We scoured the second room for roaches and thankfully, didn't see any… until morning when there was one climbing up the wall (second picture). This hotel definitely wasn't worth the price we paid (approx. $130+taxes and fees = $160). Especially with the added risk of transporting cockroaches back home with me. I will say, other than the cockroaches the hotel was ok…. It was run down, but felt safe.

My room was clean stay in 104 only thing is don't leave nothing behind because u may not get it back lost my AirPod I search it and it was still pinging in the hotel room but they said it wasn't found one in the hotel ones in use near by. ..so make sure u leave nothing behind

This hotel charged way too much for the cleanliness and over quality they give the customers. No issues at all with the staff just a disgusting stay overall. We opened our hotel room door and was met with a disgusting smell of smoke, mildew, and a spray to cover it all up. Thought we walked into a motel room.

Service was good employees were polite. They give you your privacy and don't enter your room unless you ask for something, but the beds are absolutely terrible, springs have go give makes your entire body so sore and achy.

Very accommodating. Jessica at the front desk is excellent! You can tell this place has good management. Elevator is a little scary. Breakfast was great. Over all great experience. From parking to checking out. Will definitely stay again!

The stay was enjoyable and the staff was extremely friendly. I didn't like that I had to ask for housekeeping though (post Covid world). However, when I did, they came and cleaned thoroughly, replacing all the towels, soaps, etc. The rooms are dated; however, they were clean and our beds were comfortable. Breakfast is included, and they have a lot of choices, including scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, and of course coffee tea and various juices. I thought that was a great value considering the room price. They even have a little gym on site, but I did not use it.The hotel is proximal to a lot of things, including performing arts centers and sightseeing. I was there seeing family, but we were able to drive to Asbury Park, Red Bank, and New Hope Pennsylvania all within less than an hour's drive. If you are looking for a fancy place to stay, this is not it. If you are looking for a no frills stay with good value, then this is the place! We plan to be in the area again within the year, and this is where we'll stay.

We were greeted upon check-in, associate offered to change our bed to king size and asked if we had any other requests. We said preferable not the first floor, the higher the better and a quiet room away from the elevator. She did just that. We never stayed at a Best Western and were pleasantly surprised about how clean it was and comfortable the bed was. The only "odd" thing was the sink was in the room as soon as you opened the door. We would def stay again.

Beds were okay. Location okay. Starbucks right in the parking lot. The lady checking us in was wonderful. She was very helpful and gave us maps and even wrote down suggestions for restaurants and must sees in the area. We were here for one night and it was good for that.

Only stayed one night since we were attending a wedding nearby for a family member. Room was clean and AC kept us nice and cool. Beds were comfortable enough and clean. I wish the breakfast was offered a atleast until 10am. We missed it by 20 minutes since it ended at 9:30. The two ladies cleaning up the breakfast area did bring out coffee for me, which was super kind and much appreciated! If you do miss it though, there is a Starbucks literally next door.

From the moment we stepped in, after a really long day of travel, we were met with a smile. The man was so friendly, and that was the case with everyone we encountered that worked there. The place was very clean, but quite dated. They need some new mattresses at least.

Nice hotel, it was clean and we had no issues for the 1 night we stopped by. The workers at the hotel were also very nice and helpful. The parking lot was clean and there was plenty of room to maneuver. If I am in the area again, I will use this hotel again.

Everything was good had no issues front desk staff was excellent never got to enjoy the breakfast I left in the morning to early!!!would have been better if there was a pool to sit by and relax convenient located to all major highway and beach

I stay at the Hazlet BW about 3 to 4 times a year. Every stay is enjoyable. The facility is always clean and the breakfast is always delious. I been staying there for about 5 years and I will continue to return. Thanks for the clean rooms and facilities and will willingness to keep your customers happy. A++

Rate is little high compared to other hotels in area came in for a funeral so there was not many options after I book I searched found better rates you would think as a reward member rates would be better

They couldn't even supply cereal and milk. If you stay in the front section of the hotel, be prepared to listen to the Starbucks drive thru order taking all the time. Premises was old, but clean. Be prepared to get your butt down to the service front desk and make up your own pullout couch.

I always stay here when I travel up to Jersey . The past trip it seems like a welfare motel . There is a smell of weed on out floor and "guests" in the parking lot asking for cigarettes or change . getting kind of sketchy

I loved the customer service provided at this hotel. Our room was upgraded to a king room and they were able to provide us with necessities that we wound up forgetting. We even got a call to our room asking if we owned a specific car because that car had its lights on. It's the little things that the people at the front desk do that set this hotel apart from many others!

I had lost my credit card whihc was not used to make the reservation. The receptionist worked around itand got me redgistered. This could have been a MAJOR problem. She was very accomodating. She worked out a two-part registration that allowed me to registere without my card

The staff at this Best Western were incredibly kind and gracious. But the hotel decor was totally outdated and the initial room I was put into smelled a bit stale and the rug seemed damp. I realized later that the window had a really bad leak. I had come back from a funeral to find the window actively leaking and there was a puddle on the window sill and the AC unit. I asked for and was moved to another room that smelled much better and was sans leak. The hallway also smelled strongly of pot smoke for the entire stay. The pictures of this hotel looked much better than it was in person, but the staff was exceptional.

Check-in was a breeze, but disappointed in the layout of the room and the condition of the shower area. The sink was immediately to the left as you opened the door to the room & in a separate room was the shower & toilet. What an odd & slightly annoying layout :( Additionally, the shower area needs to get cleaned up a bit.

All room furniture should be replaced, foot long black on ceiling, toilet rocked when sitting on it. Room was small, thankfully I was staying there alone. Staff was friendly, grab and go breakfast was nice. Location to New Jersey beaches were about ten miles so for the price it wasn't bad.

Based on some of the reviews I had read, I was a little nervous about staying here but the room and the bathroom were both extremely clean. The furnishings are a little worn but I am mainly concerned with cleanliness and they exceeded my expectations. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel room was a dump, "continental" breakfast next morning was a Jimmy Dean branded frozen egg sandwich that can be bought from a local supermarket. Don't waste your time and money coming here... Even for business travelers, try your luck somewhere else...

The hotel needs to be refurbished. Definitely overpriced. It's okay. There's a cheaper hotel 5 min away that's cheaper,nicer, and it has a pool. I find beat westerns are only good if they are plus or premier

If you are in the Keyport-Hazlet NJ area, You will find the Best Western Hazlet Inn to be a great choice. They offer quality rooms with great amenities, coffee, TV, internet in the rooms. No charge for connection. Staff is very friendly with a friendly and fast check-in, Check-out experience. This has been "MY" place to stay for the past 12 years when I travel to this area.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at this BW in Hazlet, NJ. It is conveniently located to the water park and beaches. The hotel property was safe and quiet- we kept forgetting we were in New Jersey. Friendly and helpful staff- the rooms were comfortable in size. We will DEF stay here again the next time we're looking for a close getaway!

This is an average hotel at best. It's quite old and could use some refreshing. However, compared to other hotels in the area, this is about as good as it gets. For some reason, hotels are just not that great around Hazlet, NJ.

Two night stay in Hazlet,NJ. Fast check in. Rooms were above average, super clean. Biggest down was the guest this weekend were very loud, slammed doors, some had dogs that were left alone and barking. Having a Starbucks literally sharing the same parking lot as the hotel was super nice and conveneient.

Been coming for years. Always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The Inn is very well kept up. The guest rooms are relaxing and comfortable. Anything you need, they are quick to address. The Inn is close to everything, ideal location.

Hotel is nice and clean. Staff was all very friendly. They offered a grab and go breakfast. The ac worked great. It was a very hot week and the room was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and water pressure was very good.

While I was staying at the Best Western in Hazlet, it was very rundown, the toilet got clogged and I had to plunge myself after asking them repeatedly to fix the problem. In addition, the room was expensive and they didn't even offer cleaning every day. When I told them about the issues they said they would have the manager call me since they were not in at 9:15a.m... I am still awaiting the call.

This was undoubtedly the most disgusting hotel I have stayed at. The elevator was smeared with penne pasta, the room wreaked of cigarettes, the carpet had not been vacuumed, the shower drain did not stop running, the bed did not have pillows, and the wifi didn't work. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights but left after the first night and went to the Holiday Inn instead.

Room was very clean, service was wonderful, breakfast was plenty! I highly recommend this hotel if you need to be anywhere near Hazlet, NJ. Comfortable beds, plenty of breakfast, quick desk service, no complaints at all!

Hot water didn't work , moved rooms. Heater had issues, coffee maker didn't work, toilet bowl didn't flush. Worst stay would not recommend. If you can stay at the Holiday Inn located a little more north of this hotel.

We checked in early on friday, the woman on duty was very nice. She explained the elevator was down and she was hopeful it would be fixed soon. We left on Sunday, the elevator did not work our entire time there. This hotel is at least 30 years old, I remember when it was built. It needs a complete and total overhaul. It is 1 of 2 hotels in the area, the other being Holiday Inn. With its location being right off the Parkway, it has the potential to be a very busy hotel, however I doubt there are many repeat customers due to the overall rundown appearance. Over the past 30 years I've stayed at this hotel at least 4 times and have recommended it to family and friends when I lived in the area. It looks the same as it did the first time I stayed there, just much more run down and dingy. It used to be very nice. This will be the last time I stay here unless it gets a total remodel and upgrade. I will not recommend it to anyone.

Stayed at this hotel because of a power outage at home. Basic room that was clean with free wi-fi and great air conditioning which was a real plus. Room was quiet even with the hotel fully booked. Staff was helpful in making and changing reservations on short notice. Would definitely stay there again!

This hotel is no frills. It must have been a former motel that Best Western bought and tried to convert to their brand,. It falls short. Bathroom is so small with sink outside of room. Not hygienic at all as you have to touch the door handle and soil it before you can wash your hands, Rooms are noisy with an air conditioner that goes on and off all day and night. Housekeeping staff knocking on neighboring doors and talking woke us up early. I have been at Best Western's before and am usually very impressed. This was the worst one I ever stayed at. There was no table or chairs in the tiny room. This is an issue because of Covid-19 we had nowhere to sit and eat our dinner that we ordered because restaurant indoor dinning are closed due to the global pandemic. Same situation for breaskfast as the hotel's dinning area is closed off due to the pandemic. I would recommend going to the Holiday Inn across the road which has a pool. This hotel has no pool either.

I come here every week. I work night shift at a local hospital and I check in at around 8:30 AM, and check out at around 5:30 the same day. I never have a hard time with my weird hrs. Other local hotels wont book for these hrs. But Best Western always accommidates me.

I've stayed here a few times and it is consistently a solid experience. Always nice staff, quiet hotel, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast is nice (just enough food to get you going) and it is included in rate.

Convenient parking. Friendly and professional desk people. Clean well stocked room. Hot shower water with good pressure. Everything in the room worked properly. Breakfast was fine. Tv had lots of stations. It was quiet.

The hotel has the best price in town, and they made the check in and out process very quick. The hotel was clean and for the most part everything worked great. The only criticism I have was that the eggs and sausage at the continental breakfast were really not good, but for an included breakfast (with a lot of other options) I can't really complain too much.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was fine for a short stay of 2 nights, but we wouldn"t want to stay for a long term vacation. There are some improvements that could be made, but overall it was a pleasant wekend stay. They offer a free breakfast which was very good, but the seating area is very small and the tables are so close together that you may feel like you are eating breakfast with another family.

This is my third stay here over the last 3yrs and I must honestly say that each experience has always been pleasant.The staff has been very professional accommodating and welcoming. If there is anything that was needed they went out of their way. That really makes a difference to a person it makes you feel like you matter. We have used this hotel since 2018. We go back there because it is convenient and we enjoy their breakfast and the staff. The room is very well supplied and clean. The parking lot is well lit and the main entrance is the only one open from the outside.

This was a gem the price was good.Hotel is clean and quiet. Staff was very tentative. I give it 5 stars. Would recommend enjoyed my stay thank you Best Western staff kudos. The price was the deciding factor for me.

I've stayed at this property several times and highly recommend it. The rooms are spotless and the bed is comfortable. The lobby is clean and neat and the staff is very helpful. They have an amazing breakfast - pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausages, potatoes, breads and muffins, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice - coffee was even provided in my room. I had free wi-fi. The parking lot is large and the hotel is located close to anything you might need.

I came here to stay overnight with my family from out of state. The staff was great! So helpful and friendly. Even on check out they were Extreamly friendly. The room I stayed in was about average to other hotels I've stayed in before. It was clean and comftorable. There was no microwave which if I was staying for more then a might I would find a little inconvenient.

I can only give this hotel 3 stars. Yes my wife and I were upgraded to a King room. And the room was clean but the windows were filthy and the TV service was terrible. 20 channels all of which were horrendous picture quality believe that Hotel was still using Antenna signal. And when your staying in a hotel for a family event and have a long night in your hotel room TV can be very important.

This Best Western Hotel in Hazlet New Jersey had the best price for this area location. It was near family, friends, shopping & restaurants. Enjoyed the variety of breakfast items. Friendly staff. Glad they had a fitness room available. Room was kept very clean.

This is a rather dated hotel but the service was great. We were offered a choice of rooms & advised that as we'd prepaid our room online we'd have to pay a refundable deposit of $50 which I thought was peculiar but it was returned on check out. The room was spotless, bed very comfortable & we slept like logs. Breakfast was a self service buffet included in the price. There was a varied selection of hot & cold food, cereals, juice, tea & coffee. Everything was spotless in the buffet area & was restocked while we were there. Friendly & efficient staff. For the price we paid I thought it was exceptional value for money.

I have stayed at plenty of hotels in my life and this one by far after all the BS Taxes and it almost coming to $200.00 for a one night stay in basically a shoe box room was totally overpriced..I could have stayed in Manhatten for the same price!

October Riding is some of the best weather rides you can take. Cruised thru New Jersey Pines up to the eastern shore of central New Jersey taking in the shore towns. Our stay in Hazlet was convenient and to our surprise located next to an excellent Italian Restaurant just steps away. The Hotel was very accommodating and the breakfast started our day out right. I would highly recommend this Hotel for those seeking a comfortable experience.

For a single night, this hotel met our expectations. We were there for a concert, so didn't need much. Breakfast options were varied and kept stocked. Will use again if we are in that area. Will just check hot water and appliances at start.

clean nice room but a bit small---breakfast was great-had a good variety of breakfast pastries also had waffles and pancakes -close to where I wanted to go---will stay again--staff were great---asked for first floor and was accomidated-

My 3 main expectations were met... asked for a quiet room, lady said no problem because there weren't a bunch of people in the hotel.... had a great night's sleep. Wife was happy there were no bugs and it was pretty clean. And I was happy the AC was nice and cold. Took a while for the shower to get hot... maybe because we were on the 3rd floor. Bed was a little hard for my liking... but it did the trick. Would easily stay here again. Left my pillow in the room (DOH!) - would have been nice if the hotel called me about it since I was in the area all day.

The rooms were very clean but extremely small. The bed was very comfortable.The breakfast was awful cold eggs and sausage. Bacon was barely cooked. stayed here 1 night after a show in Asbury Park, on our way to New York City. It was not worth 144.00 but we needed a place to sleep.

So many electrical problems in our room that I'm sure there were fire hazards. Reported the problems and nothing was done. The other issues we had were endless...felt springs in both beds, horribly noisy, couldn't get the room cooled off, musty smell, and no help from staff.

Awesome stay it's been a year since I have stayed at this property. It's close to sandy hook beaches, local places to eat, and a nice place to rest and sleep definitely one of my favorite properties to stay at

Staff is great, location is good , room is comfortable. I have family and friends in the area, so when I come to NJ I try to always stay here. The Manager is a great person who goes out of his way to make sure everything is good and guests are comfortable.

A very friendly run hotel, with excellent staff and facilities. Nancy on the reception desk was an absolute star, nothing was too much trouble for her. The rooms were very clean and the beds extremely comfortable

I stayed 5 nights while visiting the area beaches. The hotel was renovated: carpeting, bathroom, paint, beds, etc. All areas were very clean and I observed the staff working hard to keep things presentable. The breakfast was quite good: cereals, instant oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, waffle maker, eggs, potatoes (swapped with bacon on Friday), sausage, juice, coffee. The breakfast area is quite small with the tables close together, but it is workable. There is also a small fitness center. The area is nice with lots of shopping centers and restaurants. It's kind of a pain to drive around though due to the "jughandles" that divert traffic to avoid left hand turns, but you get used to it. Go for it.

We stopped in Hazlet on our way to Wildwood. This is a great hotel of you are in the area. It's very close to PNC art center too. Rooms were very clean. Only downfall was breakfast area was small, so go early or it gets crowded fast.

The Best Western Hazlet Inn was a great sleep! We traveled from Va Bch, VA for a N. J. visit and we stayed in a very comfortable room, updated; beds were great, lovely decor! Excellent staff, all very helpful and a wonderful breakfast included with eggs, sausage, hash browns, bagels, juice, coffee...nice breakfast area, very clean! When you gotta travel the Jersey Turnpike it's good to have a restful night at the end! We enjoyed it and you will, too!

Our reservation was a very last minute due to issues with our reservations with a prior motel and when I call the receptionist was very friendly and very helpful. She was able to give directions from the location we were at as well. The staff was very welcoming. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

The room we reserved at the last minute was recently renovated and clean. Bed was very comfortable and free breakfast in the morning was great! Check-in was easy and the Express check-out option avoided any lines in the morning before heading out.

Arriving late and exhausted, we were greeted by a friendly young lady who processed us and allowed us to get to sleep. The motel it self, was close to all the places we needed to get to from The Statue of Liberty, Cape May, NJ, Philadelphia and Washington DC.

We stayed here for a quick overnight while visiting friends in the area. The lobby was nice, breakfast area was small but lovely and clean.The breakfast attendant was very attentive. Breakfast included muffins, yogurt, eggs, sausage, cereal, fresh bananas, delicious coffee, etc. Our room was clean, and although the furniture looked a little run down, and the 3rd floor hallway need a little updating, our bed looked new and was actually VERY comfortable. We slept great.The bathroom was small, the sink and counter space were outside the bathroom ~ which I ended up actually liking because the counter space was very large and I could spread out all my toiletries. We were able to have the ac unit running as a constant fan, which was a huge bonus because we always need a little white noise to sleep. The nightly rate was good and we chose this hotel because it had a no pet policy, unlike the other nearby hotel. The check-in/check-out desk clerks were very friendly. I would definitely stay here when visiting our friends again.

I'm a volunteer for a local dog rescue in NJ, but live in NY, so whenever we have back to back events I stay here. The rates are very reasonable, the hotel is clean and the breakfast is amazing! Check in and check out were efficient. It's located to a lot of shops and restaurants. There is a Staples right across the street, if you need any business done, like faxing or copying. The hotel has free wi-fi, too!

We went to visit family and got to change plans because our Airbnb was horrible, but we found a good rate on this hotel. I got to stayed here before. The receptionist very nice. They were working on first floor but didn't bother us. Everything went well until one night we got to the room and the smell of marijuana was awful in the bathroom, so someone got into my room and decided to smoked it. We called the receptionist and they gave us a product to spray it. They offered to change us to another room but it was our last night and we were super tired after we came back from New York City. They need to be careful who they hired there. It can give bad reputation to the hotel.

Upon turning sheets down for the night, found several dark hairs on sheets and severe piling of sheets (we do have pictures) Called front desk to report and requested either clean sheets or a new room. Personnel responded-you check in in the afternoon-is this the first time you turned the bed down? Reply was yes that it was-then she asked if we used the room otherwise and again I replied yes-we had used the bathroom, tv and coffee maker. I was then asked if I would be changing the sheets myself-a resounding No was the answer. I was next asked if we REALLY needed a room with 2 -that is what we booked. Finally we got relocated to another room. The woman checking usout the next day was kind and understanding and did comp us what amounted to the taxes on the room. Said she would report the incident to the manager-we have not heard from the manager at all regarding this.

First of all, the hotel smelt like weed. I'm not sure who it was, but we would take up to the smell coming from under our door. The stair wells and the whole floor smelt like it too. Also, the cleaning ladies asked to clean our room. We told them it did not need to be cleaned yet, since we weren't even there a full day yet. When we left they went into our room. Everything was cleaned up and we had personal belongings laying out. Very disrespectful in my opinion.

Lack of enthusiasm from front desk staff, too firm of bed in my opinion, but overall, better than the Shore Point Inn? If I had to do it over, maybe I would have went for the Holiday Inn as it was comparable for pricing and hopefully their energy would have been more positive.

There are not many hotels in the area. Half of the third floor was closed due to construction. Newly remodeled room, fresh paint and new carpet, but they kept the shower enclosure and toilet in bathroom. The chain for the flush handle broke due to rust. Didn't appear that there were fresh sheets on the bed the first night. They were changed on our second night. A couple of the pillows had a very bad odor. Cover of bed was dirty. Small area for breakfast that was cramped. Breakfast was not very good. Orange juice dispenser didn't taste like orange juice and I'm not sure what was wrong with the coffee. Staff was friendly.

Overall this was an adequate one night stay. The bed was comfortable, staff welcoming, and room clean. Two things prevent a 5 star review. We booked ahead through Best Western's website, and our rate was much higher than people who booked that day and compared to other hotels in the area. Also, the hallways and elevator area smelled like cigarette smoke during our stay.

Hotel was small but clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and kind.Had overnight stay for wedding and this met our needs. Quick breakfast and coffee area a plus. Wifi in rooms. Would stay if in this area again.

About fifteen minutes from Sandy Hook, I stayed here on a solo surfing trip. This is an inexpensive place to stay. The staff was helpful and friendly and the room was large and clean. I was able to bring my longboard into my room for the night. There are many grocery stores & eateries within walking distance.

Very bad company policy. Any reservation made and cancelled is still chargeable. Now I have requested booking.com to reverse the charges and also the hotel plus my credit card but no reversal of charges has been made. Do not use this hotel beware and be wary. I did not use or stay in the hotel changed my mind but even if reservation was cancelled within a day they still charged my credit card.

Very nice people , and good service, breakfast is good, I've stayed here quite a few times, and will continue coming as long as service stays good. The only downfall is the price always changes depending on time of season..

I stay there whenever I need a place near Holmdel. It is convenient, inexpensive, and easy. I am always impressed with how friendly the staff are. Both the front desk staff, and the person serving breakfast. I have no complaints, the room was clean, everything worked. I am not expecting a 5* experience, the room is clean, the people are nice, the breakfast had fresh eggs and good yogurt. There is a very good Japanese restaurant right next door (Fuji), and there is a donut and a bagel shop also next door.

This is our 2nd visit to this hotel. The staff is always polite, helpful and professional. The room was spacious enough and the beds very comfortable. The bath and shower were excellent as well. Was pleased with the breakfast choices . Just would say they need to choose another coffee as it doesn't taste good . Checking in and out was quick and efficient. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby. Strongly suggest checking out Lisa's in Cliffwood Beach area which is about 2 miles or so away from the hotel. The overall price for our stay was reasonable compare to other hotels.

I can't express how much we enjoy staying at this location. When we are down visiting family and friends we always stay here. It's close to restaurants, stores, and even the Keansburg boardwalk and runaway rapids.

Smelled like pot all the time in the hallways which didn't really effect me till it started to creep into my room under the door. Weak internet signal, ok but rowdy group at every breakfast, cops called multiple times, a/c rattled heavily and constantly woke me up, bed feels like its 6+ years old, no microwave or fridge. A couple unwelcoming staff members. Hands down the Worst/Best Western I've had the displeasure of staying at and that's sad because they're always my first choice. 9/11-9/14

First of all, staff are friendly and hotel is clean but it is very run down, and our room smelled like stale smoke that was masked with some sort of industrial spray. We were only there for 1 night so we didn't bother switching rooms. Also, disappointed that we didn't get any breakfast. It ended at 10 am and we made it down at 9:45 am. Disappointed to see almost everything edible had already been cleared away. Couldn't even get a bagel. Overpriced for the condition of hotel.

A good 3 nights stay, good breakfast but a little more space for the breakfast area would sure be a plus, a reasonably sized room , comfy beds and a good location . I got what I paid for. Hotel staff are nice

The rooms very outdated. We were put in a room near elevator and asked for a different room but that room was more run down than the room near elevator. We were concerned the elevator noise would bother us but it hardly ran. We stayed her one night. I couldn't imagine staying here longer. The breakfast is mediocre. Orange juice concentrate did not taste fresh and neither did the milk. I don't recommend and will not be returning.

travelocity website froze, never received email confirming reservation. didn't realize the charge went through till 5?days later! best western refused to credit my account! 196.00 and i didn't even stay there! scammers

This is a clean, well located motel, just off route 3. It is somewhat worn for use but looks like portions were recently redone (in some case, not very efficiently. The wallpaper was peeling in our room). Efficient and welcoming reception, free and ample parking

Front desk personnel are very nice. The lobby and exterior are a little dated, but the rooms are okay - clean and have everything you need. Breakfast is abundant - good variety. Haven't had a bad experience with this hotel.

We had 5 or 6 rooms booked for my family members from out-of-town for a funeral. They allowed us early check-in to rest up from red-eye flights from the west coast and myself coming from Atlanta. They were very courteous and the rooms were neat and clean. I slept great on a hotel bed for the first time in a long time.

I stayed at this Best Western for a hockey road trip. The hotel is just minutes from Middletown Ice World, along with a wide variety of attractions, shops, and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also provided a very nice goodie bag for being a Best Western Rewards Member. The room was spacious and clean, though there were a few spots that needed a touch up. The bed was super comfortable. They offer a typical hotel breakfast, which was delicious and well stocked. If you are traveling in this area, consider this hotel to rest your head.

Hotel is well located on highway and does not suffer from the noise of the road. Rooms are good size and breakfast is decent. Could use a few more stations on the TV. Has Tim Horton's next door. Ample parking and internet works just fine.

I've stayed at this hotel several times because my family lives nearby. I like the location, close to restaurants and shopping and the Garden State Parkway. The front desk clerk, Nancy, is very nice and welcoming. The rooms are tired and need a facelift. The breakfast room is small and the choices are mediocre. There are not many choices for hotels in this area so they probably don't feel the need to spend money on refurbishing.

I stayed at this hotel for three days. It is OK, certainly not better than that. It filled the need of providing a bed and bathroom in the area I was visiting. The room was reasonably clean and the housekeeper I encountered was courteous. The rest of the staff was not rude, but not friendly or hospitable either. Somewhat dour. The mattress was fine, but the pillows were awful - bags of lumps. I covered them with my bathrobe. The toiletries were very basic - cheap soap and shampoo that appeared preused (washed off label). No conditioner or lotion. The drain in the tub/shower was sluggish. The resolution of the TV is not set correctly and was annoying to watch. Because the option to adjust the settings was locked, I streamed a couple of movies and news shows off the free WiFi - a plus. The facing of one of the drawers was loose and hanging forward. Breakfast was not worth eating and the assistant seemed miserable. The coffee maker in the room made good, hot coffee. The hotel was not bad enough to leave, but the next time I am in the area, I will not revisit.

Hotel was close to the venue we needed to be very early next day. You walk in you smell how clean it is. With the exception of the elevator, people went who went outside to smoke brought the smell in. Otherwise, from walking in, hallways and room. Very noticeable how clean it all was. Very happy with my choice. No problems.

I've stayed at this hotel every Christmas visit for the last 10 years. It has greatly improved and modernized, and is my favorite hotel. It is well managed, and staff are very well trained, efficient, friendly, helpful at any time. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay here, having just come from a very tiny luxury boutique hotel room in NYC. The bed, linens, etc. were lovely and comfortable. Internet worked great. Service was friendly and exceptional.

The room wreaked like it was a former smoking room. There was no hot water and just an overall terrible experience. We left for our event quickly and returned around 10 pm. We had difficulty getting to sleep because of the odor. We finally fell asleep to wake up at 3 am and could not get back to sleep because of the smell. We gave up and packed out bags and left.

Although this Best Western is located on a very busy highway, the overall hotel and room made it a very good choice. The hotel was immaculate and quiet. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The room and bath were very clean and spacious. Breakfast offered a nice variety of items and was well presented. The staff was quick to clear messes and refill any missing items in the breakfast bar. We were very pleased to stay and this Best Western and would recommend it too anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Best Western Hazlet NJ has very comfortable rooms, a great breakfast ,courteous help and great location. Staff is very helpful. A good location on Rte 35 central to Jersey shore points and local activities.

The location is easy to access and near an interstate (not near enough to hear it), and near any store, restaurant or other type of retail (auto, etc). you might need but it's not a busy industrial area. The lobby and parking lot were clean and comfortable, guest room was clean and appropriately appointed. The breakfast was average and we did not use any other amenities such as the fitness center. We (2 women with children) felt safe.

This was our third stay at this location. The corridors smelled of disinfectant, the hair dryer did not work, there were other electrical problems. The toilet kept running. It was very run down. The AC was not working properly. On our third day, we returned to our room at 3:00 PM with a guest and the room had not been made up. Even after supposed upgrades this hotel is shabby and not worth the money.

it smelled bad! the Wi-Fi wasn't working. the bedside light on one side had a faulty switch. First it wouldn't turn on, then in the middle of the night it turned itself on twice! it also has a really strange layout. You open the door to the room, and immediately to your right is the bathroom sink. The toilet and tub are behind a door immediately to your left. Just a weird layout. Glad it was me and my husband, because if I brought someone else back to my room I wouldn't want all my sink stuff be the first thing he would see! but that's a minor concern compared with the mysteriously faulty light and the horrible smell.

Thie staff at this hotel were very efficient and friendly. The hotel itself has clean rooms, a great bed for comfortable sleeping, a nice breakfast bar in the morning and lots of parking. The decor is a little dated, so is the bathroom, but all in all it is well worth the price that they charge you. Only real negative were the drunks from a wedding party that arrived back to the hotel around 1 AM. Specifically the bride and her two maids of honor. Will not go into detail but because the BW does not have late night security, there was not much that could have been done.

It was very basic and served it's purpose. My biggest qualm is that I killed two bugs. I am just hoping they weren't roaches. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had a few issues that they took care of with smiles.

The room was extremely small. The bulbs were burnt out in the vanity. The toilet ran all night. I complained to the front desk and no one came to fix it. There was a strange stain on the floor. WiFi password was incorrect and front desk could not fix.

I have to say the staff was very helpful and pleasant . Unfortunately that didn't make up for the run down hotel. The elevator was too small and the door open button didn't work. Also I used the stairs and they were filthy. We stayed overnight since we had a wedding in Long Branch. I was not fond of the sink outside the bathroom either. It literally was right by the entrance into the room. I won't be back. Also like other reviews state, the Breakfast area was too small.

Stay in nice and clean environment and very close to city centre. Room is well maintained and breakfast is good. Availability of enough free parking space is another advantage. For lunch and dinner multiple choices are available in nearby locations. Prices also reasonable.

Room was OK, staff were friendly and helpful, but breakfast was chaos! There was no room to sit down and eat, as all the hotel staff were sitting at the tables, tucking in to the breakfast! This is unheard of! I won't be back!

This was my 3rd stay here as I like the location and the hotel. However, this time I had a bed so hard it was like sleeping on a table. I will stay at this hotel again but will, hopefully, go back to the king bed I usually stay in. Had my daughter with me instead of my husband.

needs to be updated hall ways smell the elevator door is covered in like a wrap tape that is peeling and it has a very tiny lobby, breakfast bar is gross eggs look like a custard jello, rooms are really small, just pay the extra $10 and go to the holiday inn down the street!

Staff was great. Water pressure was terrible. No microwaves in rooms. Convenient to just about everything, location wise. This may seem silly but, breakfast potatoes were only served on weekends. Never did get a reason why. Paper plates and plastic ware were terrible....cheapest I've ever seen. Coffee was good though! On the whole - I give it a C+.

The rooms are average to poor in the quality. In a pinch its OK. Rooms really need update. Bathroom also needs some update, the floor was really in poor condition, looked like poor workman ship done on the walls and floor.

The hotel really needs an update, aesthetic of the lobby & rooms are really aged. The staff are nice, which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2, but honestly the stay really isn't worth the price. The rooms don't have refrigerators, there's no pool, and it doesn't feel like they have renovated in a decade.

This was a pretty nice hotel.the refrigerator was a pretty good size for a hotel fridge.the breakfast was good..location was great..all sorts of stores around the area..i have pretty severe allergies and something in the room triggered them BADLY..but I still felt alright and not completely miserable.

We looked for a hotel, being a BW loyalty member, went to book online, however friends traveling with us booked through trip advisor, the site they were taken to gave them a better deal than a direct booking, making me realize there is no value to the loyalty program, when questioned at the hotel was advised to make the booking via 3rd party site to get the better rate. Reception staff were very helpful and room was great, however at breakfast we were competing with staff on the limited buffet.

Went to see Lady Antebellum at PNC and didn't want to drive home after the concert. Michelle at the front desk was very friendly and gave taxi info so we would not have to deal with driving and parking at the venue. Jersey driving is like no other and really appreciated the help. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really nice. Do it yourself waffle iron and everything kept fresh and stocked. Quick check out with helpful staff. Enjoyable visit.

The staff makes it easy to keep going back to this hotel when I need to be in the area. Breakfast is good, except for one of the breakfast items I had on Sat. morning. It tasted like grease. Everything else was good. Missed the bagels though.

First thing when i checked in was that i found a used crack pipe with residue when i pulled the tuck sheets from between the matress, the toilet didnt flush well had to flush 2 times for it to flush well, found mold on the bread one morning

Standard older hotel. Comfortable bed, nice, friendly staff, breakfast items were fresh and numerous. Has older, noisy, window air conditioners that freeze up if you run a low temperature on the low fan setting and it is very hot and humid outside.

We stayed here a few days ago to have a place to crash after a concert at PNC. I highly recommend the hotel. They were very accommodating. The room was spacious enough to hang out prior to heading to the venue. They include a continental breakfast, free wifi, and free parking and it's miles from the venue. I think the Uber/Lyft was roughly $14 which was amazing to be dropped off at the front gate and not have to deal with parking and hop on the shuttle with lawn chairs. You can also pick up the Uber/Lyft outside the Box Office when the concert is over. Anyway, the hotel was a great choice. Well worth the money to know you can get ready there, have a few drinks prior, and then have a comfy bed to sleep in and possibly hit the beach the next morning.

It was a Good value for the money. A decent breakfast is included. Convenient location. The rooms were Clean and A competent staff was very helpful. Everything, appliances lights television air conditioning worked in the room.

The Hazlet Best Western is a great place to stay and always my first choice for this area (Hazlet,Keyport NJ). The property is well kept and clean, and all the staff I have ever worked with (8 years now...) have been awesome, very friendly and ready to help with any needs. I've never had any problem with room amenities, fixtures, bathroom, air-conditioning... all have been in excellent repair during my visits. makes me feel like home away from home.

We stay there whenever we visit our family. The only drawback is you have to get to breakfast early if you want food especially the pancake /waffle mix, they do NOT refill. The front desk lady is really nice and helpful.

Rooms were small the price was high. Had my grandchildren with me and there was a lot of prostitution being run from rooms and the smell of marijuana was strong in halls. Breakfast was cut short ran out of food

Cost varied by night greatly. Bed was comfortable and room was mostly clean and workable. Bathroom floor and TV remote could be better. Swimming pool was spotty and dirty = outside. OK warm breakfast. Staff was pretty neutral.

We always stay here when we are at the Jersey Shore .I have nothing bad to say about the facilites,employees,manager. Everyone is accomidating to meet your needs,friendly,responsive if there any issues which are far and few between .I think we have been staying here over 10 years

This hotel seemed to be a welfare hotel, there was a woman sleeping on the carpet in the hallway late at night. It is not a hotel that I will be returning to anytime soon. I also would have not felt comfortable if we had any young children with us.

Awesome place to stay, close to NYC and Liberty State Park where you can park and take the ferry to the city. Definitely stay again when heading to the city. Also close to fine eating establishments with a variety of choices. Staff was friendly and very helpful, room was comfortable the bed wasn't like home obviously but after a day in the city it more than suited my sleeping needs.

This hotel was disgusting! The rooms were dirty and bathrooms were filthy. Nothing in room was fixed. You could tell there was a complete lack of care. Staff were rude. Shady people hanging around the front.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable room. Close to the beaches, great restaurants, shopping, and only a mile to the train that goes to NYC. Prices were reasonable for the area. Will definitely stay here again.

I booked this place last minute, and it was later in the evening. Was given a small room on the far end of the property and was happy to have it, however the electrical panel wasn't working (that charges your USB devices and also has normal plugs). That was annoying more than problematic because everything I needed to charge had to be done in stages at another outlet far from the nightstands. The toilet also ran on and off. The bed was ok, air conditioning was also good. Breakfast adequate but the breakfast room was tiny and cramped. The front desk team was outstanding and helpful. I did let them know about the electrical panel issue and they were empathetic and understanding. Overall I would go back.

I was pleasantly surprised at all the renovations the hotel made! The bed was comfortable, extra towels in the room as requested and the staff is always great. Thank you for making our stay great. We will be back in July.

The wifi didn't work in room 300. I cleaned up spilled water with a wash cloth and it came up brown. The carpets need to be steam cleaned. I recommend wearing shoes in the room. One of the lamps didn't work. The ac growled loudly at times. There is no microwave or fridge. The location is convenient to the beach.

We find this location comfortable,clean ,easy access to highway. There is always plenty of parking and the spots are large. Its not a five star hotel but its perfect for our weekend getaways. However what makes it the perfect place is the staff. Especially Nancy ,always with a smile on her face has continually gone the extra mile for us. We also here in passing her pleasent manner in dealing with other visitors. If for no other reason her professional and friendly manner keeps us comming back. We have stayed in the other area hotels and we find there is no ine like Nancy at any of them . This is not a one time experience since we stay there 10-20 nights per year .

We went to a concert at the stone pony in asbury park. We stayed here overnight. It was a very good choice. The hotel was easy to get to from the garden state parkway. Very clean with a friendly staff.

The beds were a nightmare, but I wouldn't know because I couldn't sleep on them. Square pillows with too much filler added to the mess. It was a perfect location, but we would never stay there again. We were told there was new management, but thery need to change the beds and bedding.

Stayed here while visiting family for the holidays, we used to live not far from here. Clean, comfortable and quiet despite being close to the highway. Missed the turn coming into the lot the first time at night, not a very big sign marking the entrance, nor was there enough light marking the entrance. Overall a great place to stay, plenty of restaurants nearby, Sandy Hook/Gateway National Park is 20 minutes away, several ferry's to NYC are close by, Newark airport 45 minutes.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms seemed to have been updated recently and the decor was very nice. The free breakfast included plenty of options. When we got there they were doing what seemed like a lot of work to the landscaping.

Nancy is always an upbeat experience, the new manager was very charming, interacting with the visitors. New decor is nice and the price can no be beat. Good beds, quiet rooms, clean facilities . Will be staying again in the summer!

This is a well kept, clean hotel with very helpful personnel. I came down to take breakfast for my grandchildren at 9:30, not realizing that this service closed at 9:00. The personnel were very accommodating and unlocked some boxed cereal, yogurt and milk for me. My only complaint was limited cable service. There was no MSNBC.

Best western hazlet was very nice. Room was good, breakfast was nice. The only problem we had was trying to connect to the internet. It eventually connected though. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is a standard BW property. The decor is worn a bit and dated. The overall cleanliness of the room was okay but some details were missed (build up on bathroom fan). The property could invest in a handyman that can repair things a little better. Some shoddy looking work. I did like that they installed power and usb plugs on the night stand. The amount of noise coming from other rooms was huge. Both nights woken up by what was going on above and next to my room. Hard for the hotel staff to control but you should bring ear plugs if a light sleeper. My rate was exceptional which made the experience about what I expected. Would I stay again, maybe but may not be my first choice.

Beds in hotel were very comfortable and pillows also were. Room did lack having a fridge and microwave so if you are planning on staying more than one day i would take that into consideration as there is no were to keep food or way to heat it if you do. Other than that the stay was good. Also dont feel like i was thanked for my loyalty to the brand as i am the highest level of rewards member there is and wasn't even thanked for that

I grew up in Hazlet, and needed to come back because of a death in the family. I tried making the reservation online however it was giving me weird errors, so I just called the hotel directly. I had the reservation made and confirmed in about 5 minutes flat. One small quirk is that when I was asked for my last name, I said well I can just give you my rewards number if that will help. The clerk said no not really? Left me scratching my head for a second as from being a Front Office Manager for a BW Plus(they had no idea I was as I did not travel using a special rate), I know it would. But being in her shoes I would have off days and she was in fact nice enough. Once I arrived into Hazlet about 1 hour before check in, I was greeted by a nice lady at the desk (I am terrible with names sorry!), and when I identified my name, gave my ID, credit card etc, of course we got to talking about the quirks of hospitality/hotels and the differences between computer systems. I was assigned a room on the 3rd floor, as apparently there was a soccer team or something coming in the same evening, I spent 2 nights there and did not hear a single noise. The room was literally next to the elevator, so I would hear a person talking loudly into their cell phone once and awhile, but never had kids running up and down hallways like I used to have to control. Kudos for them room assignments to the front desk staff! Once I got in the room I could see that this property and management company spent a pretty good chunk of change on renovation when they acquired the property. Literally everything appeared new, or old with a very nice make over(only the ptacs stuck out like sore thumbs). On closer inspection the room was immaculate! The housekeeping staff seemed to be some of the best. I would be proud to call this small gem of a property mine and work at it. The beds although I could tell the mattresses were older, were comfortable and the toppers supplied were adequate. Two minor issues in the bathroom, the toilet would not stop running all night(doesn't bother me as I am used to that from my hotel, spent many nights during snow storms) and the shower curtain doesn't have a liner or anything so water goes right onto the floor? Don't recall if that is a difference in standard for BW vs BW Plus or not. Room overall was decent sized, the TV fits the requirements for a BW but seemed a bit small for the room, perhaps investment in slightly larger TVs compared to BW Plus standards would go a long way. A better channel lineup for watching on those later nights when you need to wind down, but cannot hold them for that as my hotel has very much the same limited selection. I cannot speak for the included breakfast as I found it easier to just grab something as I make my way to where I need to go, but I did see some smaller family's eating and they seemed to enjoy it. Upon checkout the same agent was on that checked me in, check out was a second longer only because I threw a curve ball and used a travel card(gift card) for most of the bill, and that requires access to a different website for the hotel to verify for those who don't know. But she was very efficient, more so then I could actually say about some of my agents, unfortunately. The rates are extremely fair for what you get. I will most definitely stay again if I come down for any reason, as sleeping at a relatives house is over rated! To the managers at this property, please keep it up! The front desk staff is impeccable and the most hard working and back breaking department that is housekeeping also is top notch! I would hire them all without hesitation. Shout out to maintenance as everything in the room(minus the toilet) was good, all grout clean and in proper order, all outlets work and no wall vinyl peeling. Nothing. Should pass your next brand inspection with ease with rooms and staff like you have!

Nice hotel, staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and everything work. Though not a new place it seems very well maintain and a good value for the money. Though on a busy highway room was quiet and bed was clean and comfortable.

We arrived at the Hazlet Inn in Hazlet, New Jersey for an overnight stay. The front desk clerk was polite and helpful. We were processed quickly, out room was clean and comfortable, and the next morning's breakfast was fantastic. We had a very pleasant stay and will be sure to stay here again in future. Lisa

The property was an excellent facility. Quiet, clean, up dated rooms, and excellent breakfast. The location added to its benefits as you were near major arteries and shopping. It was well worth the visit and a facility I would recommend to others with confidence. It was top notch.

Nice clean hotel that provides free breakfast. Plenty of parking, elevator , and modern furnishings. Not a luxury hotel but a nice place to lay your head down for the night. Located right next to Horton's and across from McDonald's.

It's clean , the location is convenient if you are in the area . The place is nothing special , nice room comfy bed , and a nice large flat screen tv. The best part was that it was reasonably priced. We did not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast as we had other plans. We were only there overnight. Late at night I walked the second floor hall in search of a vending machine but there was none on our floor. Worth mentioning that the young lady behind the desk wearing her " I CARE " badge was as nice as could be.

Nancy at the front desk was the nicest, sweetest, most accommodating person I have ever come across. She was just AWESOME! Everyone in our group cannot say enough about her! The hotel was clean, the rooms were clean. Great value and great service!

Plenty of parking spaces, the reception area was very nice and not overly bright (annoying when they are too bright), and the staff was very helpful and professional. The room was very clean and was probably the most fresh smelling room we've ever stayed in. It did not smell like a hotel room at all. The bed was super comfy and they had a variety of pillows to choose from. Their walls were thick so we didn't hear other guests unless they were in the hallway.

Best Western Hazlet Inn in Hazlet, New Jersey, USA is a good hotel and provides friendly and efficient staff and good service. We did not have negative experiences while staying in the hotel. The breakfast was fairly elaborate.

King room was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable with nice fluffy pillows. Front desk staff was very friendly at check in and check out. Only negative thing I have to say is the signage at the turn into the facility is difficult to see at night, especially when it's raining. We passed it twice. That being said, I would definitely stay here again!

Great staff really went out of their way to make my guests and me comfortable. They assisted with any request we had. Breakfast is good and rooms are clean. No complaints from any of us and we really thank the staff for being so helpful.

Hotel is clean and close to an array of businesses. Also close to train that will take you to Monmouth Racetrack. The staff is helpful and courteous. Best part is that no flea and tick infested mutts are allowed.

This hotel is well located near the PNC Arts Center (a 10 minute drive). Hotel is very well maintained and super clean with comfortable beds, in-room coffee maker, great air conditioning and convenient ice machines. No restaurant, but there is a Tim Horton's across the street. A nice continental breakfast is included in the reasonable room rates.

I like this hotel because of the location and caring staff. The only problem is some of the rude guests. Why so many, I don't know. They go out of their way to try and accommodate all requests and try to fix problems as best they can.

Good for over nite, Low water pressure in shower . 1 st floor was hot. . A/C not keeping up . I liked to it had a Timmy's next door . I missed the driveway for the hotel, Had to pull in Timmy's lot and drive over grass to get to the hotel or drive a mile or more to get back , it had a rail blocking the middle so you can only go one way.

I was quoted a price of 179.99 for two sites stay at the hotel. On checkout the receptionist presented a bill for 179.99 PER NITE! I felt like I had been misled by the hotel's phone representative when I made the booking.

good stay for the price except for bed being LUMPY.... I had 2 queens so I used the other bed . Free breakfast was good for my situation and free Internet location was perfect and staff was courteous.

Best Western is about 30 minutes from Sandy Hook National Recreation area. We wanted to see the inlet so ate at Keyport ony 5minutes from the hotel with a nice walkway along the water and a few restaurant/bars with water views. There is a cruise/fishing ship that we watched coming back in to port. There are not many hotels closer to Sandy Hook we've found. It was easy to get on the turnpike from there.

Tired and worn. Friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast good and much choice. Coffee better than Tim Horton's next door. Rooms are ok but too many quilts etc and pillows are weird wads. Location next to plaza with food choice and next to Shore funeral home.

Used this hotel twice in the last 2 yrs. Extremely satisfied on both occasions. Check in and out was flawless. Clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Very cordial staff. We were there both times to attend funerals and were offered condolences each time at the desk without mentioning it, other than on the phone earlier in the week while booking the rooms. Nice people!

This hotel was an excellent value with our group rate. The only thing we didn't like was the cigarette smoke smell in the room (107) The entire hotel was supposed to be smoke free. It was clearly obvious that former guests in the room were smoking in the room.

Old musty smell, toilet seat toooo small (perfect) for a two year old. Bath tub slippery, good size refrigerator in king size bedroom only, paint looked old and patch worked. Would have been on @ $60.00 to $65.00 a night. Breakfast was good. Staff were nice.

The hotel was close to the highway on a busy thoroughfare which provided many options for dining. I suggest that you request a room in the rear of the building as the early morning traffic is noisy. Check in was fine with the exception of the clerk pushing the BW rewards program & although I declined 3 times she still sign me up via my email on the reservation. The room was very basic & appeared clean. There was a refrigerator which was a plus. They only provided one set of towels per person & a very small amount of shampoo. Breakfast consisted of sausage,eggs,waffle,pancake,yogurt,assorted pastry & rolls,cereal etc along with coffee,juice & milk. Mostly tables of 2 & a slightly cramped area but serviceable. The sausages were barely warm so not very tasty. The rate was very reasonable & it served our purpose as we were only in the area a couple of days. I would not recommend for a long term stay. Easy paperless check out.

After having a few terrible experiences on a recent cross-country bicycle trip, the Best Western Hazlet was a pleasant exception. Clean motel and helpful, pleasant staff - big difference from the iffy service from other national chains in the Northeast.

stay just a few hours after a reunion. we were able to hang out in the breakfast area about 12 of us with no complaints from anyone. very accomendating. everyone who stayed there was extremely nice stopping to say hello when they walked in

Staff is helpful and courteous especially Nancy.The hotel itself is clean as are the rooms. Best part is that this hotel doesn't allow flea and tick infested mutts. Close to the train that takes you to Monmouth Racetrack.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and I would not hesitate to stay again when I'm visiting the Atlantic Highlands area. The rooms are clean and the hotel is well cared for. Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. It is a good value for the money, not high end but nice and clean.

Centrally located to our event location. Staff were pleasant and helpful when needed. Approximately 7 basic rooms were booked for our stay. The accommodations were what we needed, centrally located, clean and a safe area. Many options on the main strip to eat which was very helpful.

Had a room above the laundry. Room shook until about 645pm. New shower head with good water pressure but would have been nice to have a shower curtain. Floor got a little wet. Friends in another room had little water pressure but their bathroom floor stayed dry helped by the shower curtain. Breakfast was good that was included. Place was clean but just ok. Nothing more. Would stay again but.... You get what you pay for!

This Hotel has been updated and is in good condition but it is still an older style hotel. Quite comfortable and reasonably priced it offers good value for an overnight stay when in the area. Service at the front desk was very friendly and efficient, Free wifi is a little slow but works OK. Bathroom is basic but clean and everything you need is there. King bed is comfortable and sheets are in good condition. AC is a bit noisy but not enough to want to complain about. All in all offers good value for money in the area.

Not a bad location, the hotel itself is very reasonable and at a good price. The morning breakfast that is said to begin at 6:30 never showed up in its entirety until 6:50. It arrived in dribs and drabs until the worker moseyed to get everything in place. The food, though, was very edible - the usual scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cereal, coffee, etc. The fail was they require your credit card to be hand transacted - no swipe at a machine on the counter. They take it behind the counter and do whatever they do. Knowing what I know now, I would have watched more closely. Five days later, having not used that particular card since nor had it out of my hands for the month before that - all machine swipe use - I had three fraudulent charges on the card brought to my attention by my credit card security department. Had to destroy the card and wait for a new one to arrive. Over the next nine weeks, I'm traveling to that area for three overnight stays a week. I'm staying at a different hotel now.

Very nice - clean - helpful staff - located close to New York City, 1 hour train ride away, 1hr 30 min by bus - ample parking - good price - but bring your own showerhead, very poor pressure for showering.

My recent stay at the Best Western in Hazlet New Jersey was an awesome experience, with every traveling need met by the friendly and caring staff. Check in and out was a breeze, Any guest service requests were filled quickly by caring and friendly staff, and the room condition was excellent with plenty of hot water. Continental breakfast was just fine with a nice assortment of choices. This was my 7th stay at this property, for a reason. They do it right!

The rooms are dated but well appointed and clean. The staff remembers us from year to year (this is #4). They have a free breakfast, wifi and parking that helps make this a good value. Lots of local restaurants nearby and close to the Jersey Shore

Wonderful overnight while we were in town for a concert at PNC Arts Center. We weren't sure where to stay but the amenities were perfect. 5 minute ride to the center for the show. Staff friendly and knowledgeable.

I stay at this property multiple times every summer when my wife and I travel to Sandy Hook in NJ. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. On my most recent visit, I went to walk into our room upon arrival only to find it was already occupied. Back at the front desk, they were shocked that there was someone in there as that room had been assigned to me that morning. Upon checking further, it was determined that said occupant was a blind baseball player who was supposed to be in the room across the hall and apparently scammed housekeeping to let him in that room so he would not have to double up with another player. Officially, the hotel was sold out. the front desk staff apologized and said they were holding on to two rooms, one next to the elevator and the other across from housekeeping's laundry room. We took the latter to find out it was a handicapped room, The staff did what they could with what they had.

It was better then I expected! Clean rooms, comfy beds, nice looking room. Breakfast was not horrible but not greatest quality. The coffee WAS AMAZING! The best Ive had in a long time, Dunkin Donuts has nothing on them!

We made reservations at the BW Hazlet because it was close to family. The pictures on the website do not accurately reflect what we saw. The room was dreary and dated, the carpet was stained, the bathroom floor looked dirty and the room had a musty smell. We had gotten there late so we decided to stay since we were so tired. In the morning, I spoke to the desk about the musty smell of the room and they said they would take care of it. The smell went away and we stayed because of the location and the fact the the other hotel in the area was booked.

We stayed for one night to take my teenage daughter and friends for a concert at the PNC Arts Center. It was very clean and quiet and the staff was very friendly. It is right on the highway but the plus for us was, while looking for a restaurant we found we were 5 minutes away from a town called Keyport, which was right on the water and beautiful! It also had many restaurant choices. I would stay again.

I chose to stay at the Best Western Hazlet because of the great reviews I read. I am writing a review because I am surprised by the high rating. This place is in desperate need of an update. Upon arriving to the hotel for check-in, there were no clean rooms ready. After the wait and getting to the room, there was a stench of a mildew/urine combination. The other issues were: 1. The iron and ironing board did not work. 2. The shower barely had more than a trickle of water. 3. The toilet handle needed to be held down for at least 30 seconds for the toilet to flush. 4. All outlets on either side of the bed did not work. 5. The elevator was broken. I would expect this kind of accommodation to go for $30-$40 per night, and I paid a lot more than that. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is that the front desk attendant at check-out was sorry for the issues and took a small percentage off the bill.

My wife and I spent a night here to attend a local engagement party. This hotel was closest to the party and despite some concern over earlier reviews we found it to be clean, comfortable, and quiet, with efficient friendly staff. We had a minor problem with a light switch which was promptly taken care of. Check-in was quick, express checkout worked fine. It is not a fancy hotel but decent and the price was more then reasonable. We skipped breakfast but it was offered in the price. While we prefer a more upscale hotel we will stay here again next time we visit.

Hotel was really nice except for the bed. The mattress was somewhat hard. I enjoyed the fact that the queen size bed was little bigger than some other hotel beds I stayed in that same week, but not as comfortable.

Hotel was very nice and I liked that there were some healthy options for breakfast (low sugar yogurt, oatmeal, granola). I also liked the french vanilla creamer option, would like to see more flavors as well! Hot water and pressure were fabulous (very important) and bathroom was very nice except it would be nice to have an additional sink in the bathroom as well. Some hair found in bathroom but overall pretty clean. Bed was super comfy. Classy, and nice but definitely a little pricey. Had to pay $113 dollars for 10 hours of stay. However, was the best price in an expensive area.

Stayed here last minute. Check in took a long time. Behind check in counter was a ripped black stool. Looked tacky. Tells you how they maintain property. Room had funky smell. It appeared clean. AC worked. Basic room. Breakfast had juice, coffee, waffles, bread, yogurt , cereal and eggs and sausage.

Our Family booked 4 rooms for 6/24. Reasonable rates. After reading recent posts on TA & Yelp, we were concerned what we would find. Upon checking in, we each found our rooms clean & comfortable. Some rooms at this hotel have been renovated, some not yet. Would not call it a breakfast buffet - we ate at a local diner.

The room was smelly, the carpets were filthy, the bed was uncomfortable, the air condition sounded like an eighteen wheeler was coming in for a landing -- every hour on the hour. I hated this experience.

First time back to this property since it was acquired by Best Western. It is much improved with great bedding, clean rooms and a wonderful breakfast in the morning. The location is great for the Hazlet-Matawan area in NJ and is very convenient to everythng.

This hotel seemed nice when going into. Rooms where nice size and the AC worked great! BUT...the first room I was in the bed did have bugs...I went to desk they moved me without a problem and the second room was fine. My father was also with us and had his own room and his room was fine..just another reminder to check every hotel bed. Doesn't make it a dirty hotel...people bring the bugs in with them sometimes....

My boyfriend an I didn't want to spend a fortune and wanted to be close to the beach. This was a good choice. Overall clean and tidy and the customer service was great. The front desk greeted us and we're accommodating. Even watching NBA finals game 7 was good in the room, big enough tv and space.

We had a great night at this hotel after a long flight and the staff were so helpful. So nice to know that a good night awaits if you are travelling and just need a smooth nights sleep and transit ready for the next day.

This is a good hotel. The staff try hard to please, but the person handling the breakfast made a complete mess of it. Late, to start with, very small portions put out, eggs were cool and in very small pieces. Some parts of the breakfast were missing entirely. They need to get the person back who used to do this. It was always ready, hot, and kept neat.

Hubby booked this hotel to suprise me with a concert being held nearby. he doesnt' alway check reviews like me lol. I checked them on the way there and they didn't worry me too much. It was a pleasant suprise. he got a good deal with a prepay deal they had and it was absolutely fine. Hall ways look older but once inside the room it looked completely up to date, room and bathroom was perfectly clean. Bed was so comfy, wish we could have stayed another night. Breakfast in the morning 9:30-10:30 included. We didn't partake and ended up with some friends going to Tim Hortons right next door. They were very happy with their room as well. Good wifi, TV. Water pressure was a little disapointing in the shower but overall, I would definitely stay again.

I've stayed at this property before and have never had a problem. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. I had to attend a function and stayed in NJ overnight, rather than drive back home to NY, and even though I arrived at almost midnight, the staff was friendly and checked me in very quickly. There was plenty of parking. The bed was comfortable and even though I was on the first floor, I didn't hear any noise. Breakfast the next morning was great, and I felt decadent for eating waffles and sausages in my king size bed all by myself! The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful and I totally enjoyed my short stay!

The Best Western Hazlett inn is a unique hotel because of its caring staff. From the time that you check in, you feel welcome and are treated like family. The rooms are clean, well appointed with nice amenities. The continental breakfast is more than adequate and is also very accommodating. In short, I would recommend staying at this hotel for business or pleasure.....

Our room looked clean, however it smelled like someone had been smoking in our room. The hotel is supposed to be 100% smoke free. The maids tried to help with the smell. It was a temporary fix. My pillows reeked of smoke. We informed the front desk of the problem. They didn't seem to care.

I drove from Ohio & was very tired thru most of my stay. I spent a lot of time at the hospital visiting my dying cousin. The staff here made sure I had everything I needed. Even though I was alone I felt safe. You do not find "staff" like these everyday. The hotel itself was very clean & comfortable.

While traveling, we stopped late in the evening at this Best Western, Hazlet Inn. The clerk was friendly, professional and explored all available discount options. We got a very attractive, clean, comfy room at an affordable rate, and a hot breakfast the next morning. The room even smelled fresh and clean. Several coffee options in the room, and the coffee pot was clean. Just what we needed.

Most prices for hotels in the area are much higher & the Best Western-Hazlet Inn was clean & in a great area with restaurants, etc. The staff was very accommodating & the breakfast was satisfactory & free. I would recommend this hotel.

Our room was clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and loved the complimentary breakfast offered each morning. My family would definitely stay in this Best Western again when we visit NJ.

I'm giving this hotel a 4 rating, if it was anywhere besides North Jersey I'd be giving it a 2. Everything in North Jersey is disgusting. The front desk staff here is super nice and helpful. Housekeeping does a good job at surface cleaning, but the HVAC filter in the room is clogged with dust, the return vents in the hallways are also clogged with dust, and there is a random wire on the first floor running from the electrical room all the way to the lobby, tacked into place over the doorways. The breakfast is pretty good with a nice variety. The carpet in the room had a few random stains, and the tile work on the bathroom floor is sloppy. The mattress and pillows are comfortable and seem fairly new. The window in my room was cracked. The elevator makes lots of scary noises and broke down the first night I was here. But like I said, this is North Jersey, so keep your expectations in check. The room rate was very reasonable, so I would most likely stay here again the next time I am in the area on business.

The room smell like mold. The bathroom was still dirty from previous clients, and the tub had a annoying and constant drip. This hotel was Dark and dusty. The bed linen was dirty with several noticeable stains. Unfortunately, the only other hotel close by to my stay was a Holiday Inn which was completely sold out. I reluctantly stayed here but if my family would have been with me I would have left. This facility needs immediate renovations and/or should be demolished for a newer facility. Every evening there was an unsavory group of individuals out in the parking lot.

We had quite a few family and friends staying here due to my daughters wedding on Saturday 4/9. I had asked to all be fairly near each other and that request was fulfilled. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant, but the rooms do need to be upgraded.

Everything was clean. The rooms were just enough for a short stay. We had a double queen bed room. The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet. This hotel is located in a nice spot..tucked away from the street noise. Complimentary breakfast: Mr Angel is amazing. He really takes care of the breakfast area. He keeps the area clean and is there to get you anything you need. He made my mom and I waffles nice and crispy just the way i love it. Free internet!! Check out is at 12...which is pretty generous. I will stay here again.

The heat wasn't working. The room smell like urine. The bathroom was still dirty from previous clients, you were able to see all the soap stains in the walls. The cover of the bed was dirty and had hairs all over.

Chose this motel for location. Next time I will be willing to pay a little more and drive a little further. No hot water three days in a row. Breakfast items very weak...tasted like powdered eggs. Fortunately there is a bagel/donut shop right next door.

Stayed here to attend a wedding in the area. The room smelled like cigarette smoke, the sheets, while maybe clean, looked extremely well worn, the pillows were beyond uncomfortable, the bathroom was sketchy and every TV channel was filled with static. There are limited hotel options in this area so it's not like you have much choice if you plan on staying in the area but it's still a shame the Best Western couldn't do better...

I was pleased overall with this hotel. It is obviously an older property that is being brought up to date. Some nice things have been done, such as nice bedding, countertops, draperies, etc. and some left to do - the chair in my room was heavily stained but when I mentioned it on checkout I was shown that it is on the list for replacement as soon as the new ones on order are delivered. The breakfast is more than adequate, the staff very friendly. Located in an area where there are many stores and places to eat which is helpful. I was very pleased for the low rates.

This was my second stay, one night each time, during the last 2 months. Once in a suite and once in a king size room. On both occasions I found the rooms to be very clean. The décor is a little outdated but sufficient for one night. When staying in the suite, I was disappointed to find there is no door between the bedroom and the living room (not good for privacy issues). Both visits the front desk staff has been very friendly and the person who keeps the breakfast area neat and clean does a great job.

If you want the same minimal breakfast everyday, not enough light to read while in bed, a tacky lobby probably last decorated in the eighties, a terrible selection of TV channels then you're really going to like it here.

We needed one night in the Middletown area and chose the Best Western for the rate and the appearance of the room. We were very happy with our choice and the room was perfect temperature upon arrival and the bed was extremely comportable. Plan our next stay with them again.

All of the staff were great! We were snowed in and they made it a good experience. We felt like family staying there. I am a diabetic and they went out of their way to find somewhere that was open and delivering, so that we could have food.

While staying in Hazlet I stayed here and was not impressed. The room I was staying in had a running toilet, I did not get much sleep the first night. I told the staff about it the next day so they gave me a different room. Overall impression is that I would stay again but just not really impressed.. Young lady at the front counter was very nice!

I would say it met my expectations. Bathroom needs some upgrade. Price was higher than I expect. Overall cleanliness was good. Nice staff as well. Spacious room, Breakfast was good. I liked that it is a smoker free environment.

Stayed here on Saturday for a place to sleep after a family celebration. First impressions not so good - lobby is somewhat dumpy with couches that looked like they came from Grandma's house. Also found the front desk attendant on the surly side. Rooms was decent sized and beds were actually very comfortable. Cleanliness could have been somewhat better, one sticky stain on the nightstand which I easily wiped away with a tissue and water and coffee grounds which came out of the coffee pot upon trying to make hot water for my son's hot chocolate. Came with a bigger than expected fridge, which I didn't use. Bathroom had a fan - I have been in $300 a night hotels that don't have a bathroom fan so that was a big plus in my book. The "gym" was awful, one treadmill, one bike, one eliptical - nada for strength training. I had a family brunch to go to offsite but I sampled the free breakfast - sausage and eggs were on the low end of ok, coffee was really pretty decent. Passable hotel if you are in need, especially considering the $89 I paid.

Cons: Hotel check in time is 3 pm. Arrived at 3:30 pm and room was not ready. Breakfast is limited to pretty much all carbs: bagels, muffins, pastries, cereals, toast, waffles. The only hot item offered on the buffet was scrambled and hard boiled eggs, 1 day they had sausage. I would have been pleased to see a wider selection of fruit besides apples and oranges, and some more selection with meat. We were only provided with 2 bath towels in our room for 2 people. The water pressure in the shower is weak, and the ceiling above the shower is abnormally low. There was no microwave in the room which was pretty inconveinent, and while we were gone one day the mini fridge stopped working. Nothing was cold and we had to throw away our food (dairy products) because of it. Also, no in-room safe which I have also become accustomed to after staying at many best westerns. Pros: At check-in, Michelle was helpful and gave me some good tips. The NJ transit train station is just a few blocks up the street, so that made getting into NYC pretty conveinent. (NY Penn station is about an hour train ride away.) The room was clean and the bed and pillows are very comfortable, as I have become accustomed to after staying at many best westerns. We visited on a Wed-Fri and it was quiet. I always appreciate the free wifi and free parking, and free breakfast. The nightly rate was competitive to other hotels in the area. I would stay here again.

I stayed here for 1 night and couldn't be any happier with my experience.The staff was very courteous upon check in and especially during checkout, calling me about a jacket that I forgot in the closet. The room itself was clean and comfortable, credit to housekeeping. I would definitely stay here again

Was in town for a family funeral and was too old to couch-surf. The breakfast included eggs and sausage and the coffee was strong enough. Even the hot cups were well insulated. Also a waffle machine, but don't try the pink batter. Wi-fi was super fast and I was located at the far end of the motel. Quiet motel so I was able to get a good night's sleep.

I wasn't impressed with the size of the room or the decor. The hotel was perfect for someone staying alone or with children. The staff was e x t r e m e l y helpful and kind. Breakfast was sufficient and the scrambled eggs were top notch. I loved that I felt comfortable enough to go into breakfast area in the middle of the night to toast up a little bagel. Staff catered to my every whim. I would have liked a more fluffy mattress, but it was fine and didn't keep me from a good night's sleep.

We come to the Hazlet / RedBank NJ area twice / year to visit my Mother. We choose the Best Western Hazlet for 3 reasons: The hotel is very convenient. Rooms are very clean and accommodating. Finally, all of the staff really care about you and make you feel "like family"......

This might be the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms smelled musty, bathroom was disgusting, rug was crusty, bed looked as if sheets weren't changed. And worst of all, my friend who stayed in the room next door found a used condom on the floor of his room. GROSS. Besides the place being completely nasty, the woman at the front desk was rude and seemed irritated with us during check in. Do not stay here.

Excellent. Petra, one of the staff who checked me into the hotel was so professional and pleasant. This is one of the primary reasons I would staff at this hotel again. She was so helpful. The room was a nice size room and very comfortable.

This hotel was extremely close to a family party which is why we picked it. It is a bit outdated. The furnishings are worn. The hotel looks dirty, but it is very clean. The staff was helpful and lovely to deal with. At this price it is amazing that they include breakfast. It is a good breakfast as far as hotel breakfasts go. Nothing fancy, but I appreciate that I don't have to leave the property before I have breakfast! Check out is at noon, which I also appreciate. I don't feel like I have to brush my teeth and run out the door! Overall, a good experience in a worn hotel.

If you need to be in Hazlet for whatever reason this is a decent if unimpressive option. The price is reasonable -- I stayed three nights for about $275 including tax. While some other reviewers wrote of the rooms being less than clean, mine was perfectly fine and everything in it worked. I particularly liked the charging dock that was on the bedside table, which was a nice way to deal with the fact that many older hotels don't have sufficient plugs for the variety of devices most of us carry these days. It was perfectly adequate as a place to sleep although the bed had something protruding from the bedframe on the right side. I finally put the suitcase stand right over it so I would't accidentally get in the bed from that side and cut myself. The TV didn't get many channels and for some reason CNN didn't come in at all. Breakfast was completely uninspiring with stale mini-danishes and mini-bagels. I only ate there one out of the three mornings. Nevertheless I would stay there again if I need to return to Hazlet because I doubt the other alternatives are any better and the price is right.

This hotel is in a good spot. I use it when I have appointments and see my family. The staff is really hard working. The only complaints are regarding other some of the other guests, who have absolutely no consideration for other person(s) other than themselves.

Rooms were clean staff very helpful.. Only thing there's a odor when you first come in the lobby. very affordable place, breakfast very good. I would stay again I only stood 2 days. perfect for family or friends visiting.

Upon arrival I realized I made a huge mistake. I found the bathroom to be dirty, there was hair in the sink,and a foul odor in the room. When I reported my complaint to the front desk I was offered Febreze !

Nice affordable place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful with local information. I will stay here every time I'm in town. Good clean rooms. Sausage, eggs and waffles for breakfast. Nothing to complain about. For the price this is the best place I've stayed.

not good...... dirty room, bathroom and shower head was horrible. go somewhere else. Shame because the location is very good. old decor, just enough service to keep place running, but dont ask for much else. which is fine with me if room is clean.

The hotel was out-dated however clean. The staff were all very friendly. The complimentary breakfast in the lobby was the best part of our stay, my family enjoyed it very much. The room was clean. The air conditioner in our room did not seem to be working properly and my husband had to get up numerous times throughout the night to adjust it, with little success. I went down to their exercise room which contained 4 pieces of cardio equipment. Only the treadmill worked and even that made me nervous. It was loud and the control paneling was rusty. There was no TV in there and looked as though someone had come in and ripped it right off the wall. Overall, our stay was decent. The hotel itself was clean despite how old and out-dated it appeared. The breakfast was a bonus and all of the staff there were very pleasant. Great value for the price.

Had a very comfortable night in this hotel. Staff great. Our only complaint was the lack of regard as far as handicapped parking. There was all sorts of construction supplies, dumped in handicapped parking spot, and I think they could have found a more appropriate place for it.

I let somebody else book this for me. Mistake. I know it's cheap, and I can deal with that. But not this. When we arrived, I told the desk clerk CLEARLY I needed a quiet room. I had an important meeting the next day. Well the idiot put me on the ground floor right around the corner from the front desk. At midnight, two tour busses arrive for check in. One of them Hispanic and was very loud. The noise from people yelling to each other and laughing out loud was unbelievable. I call the front desk and I ask him to tell the groups to be quiet. After 20 minutes nothing changes. So I put on some clothes and I go out and I tell them to be quiet and go to the front desk and request he do the same. He says "I can't do anything about it". I then tell the group they are 20 feet from my door and they give me crap as if I'm out of line. One of them has the nerve to say "You're staying at the wrong hotel". Truer words were never spoken. In the morning I pack my stuff and tell the front desk I'm not staying the second night. They tell me I have to contact Hotels.com to get a refund. I contact hotels.com when I get home and they say it's not refundable. I had to fight with them. They have to get an OK from the hotel. They call the hotel leaving me on hold for 20 minutes. The desk clerk can't find my reservation and hotels.com has to call them back the next day. Great. I call the hotel and tell them what happened, and spoke to Mina and ask him to contact hotels.com to say it's OK to refund the money. He says I have to contact hotels.com as if he didn't hear a word I've said. He offered no help. He should have bent over backwards to make this horrible experience come to an end and I had to argue to get him to help me simply get a refund which he finally did. He argued with me for 15 minutes telling me he couldn't make a call that took 5 minutes. Incredible. Oh...by the way. The chairs in the room were covered in spooge.
