Hotels in Vaucluse: what our guests say

Grand Hotel d'Orange, BW Signature Collection
"A lovely hotel in a beautiful courtyard, great facilities."
MichellABurton, 06 Octobre 2026

Our stay at this quaint hotel was faultless. It is located in a magical courtyard where we enjoyed drinks. Staff were really helpful. Safe, covered parking was provided for a small fee. An excellent breakfast was available, again for a small fee. The room contained tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge / stocked mini bar. The bedroom furniture was slightly dated (or may just have been designed to be in keeping with the rustic building), but the bathroom had clearly been recently renovated and was lovely and spotlessly clean. A range of high end (L'Occitane, local) products were provided for guest use including hand gel, hand lotion, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The hotel had a pool for guest use which I sadly didn't use (due to our itinerary). Following checkout we were able to leave our car in the secure parking lot until 2pm, enabling us to visit the stunning Roman theatre, which was just a short walk from the hotel. A faultless stay. Thank you.

Best Western Plus Le Lavarin
"Easy parking just outside of Avignon"
David S, 25 Septembre 2026

We spent one night at the Best Western Avignon. I had mixed feelings about it. The rooms are small. It's hard to knock modest accommodations where the expectations should also be modest. This worked well for one night for us because we had a rental car and could drive into Avignon and park in the public parking lot just outside the City Walls. The drive was short and easy and there was plenty of parking. Some friends who stayed inside the city walls had a very hard time figuring out how to get into the underground parking area, and a lot of streets are closed off near the city centre, so I highly recommend staying outside IF you are using a car. It was easy to park here. We were planning to spend the next day driving around the Luberon villages so a car made sense for us. But Avignon was so amazing if we came again I might stay two nights in the city center without a car. The Best Western was convenient and safe and works well if you're expecting to be out and about.

"Perfect for arriving from long trip"
Paige G, 01 Septembre 2026

After a long flight overseas, followed by a long train, we arrived at this hotel. It's in a great location and the room was very spacious bright and high ceiling and big windows and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel staff was delightful in every way and there's a nice place to have breakfast there in the morning. No issues a very simple and clean delightful experience!

"Perfection"

We booked this hotel on our way down south. I am a Best Western Rewards member and was thrilled to find something that looked modern. I was right - this hotel was an absolute treat. The check in was courteous and they offered us 2 drink coupons at the bar. The lobby doubles as a bar - it's very tasteful decorated. You also don't have to pass through the lobby to get to your room. The rooms are beautiful. Old style building with gorgeous modern furnishings and a spacious, beautiful bathroom with a gigantic shower. The Chardonnay scented toiletries were a nice touch. Breakfast was pretty good as well - they had full sized viennoiseries and even gazpacho! The personnel was lovely as well . The salle du petit-déj itself was gorgeous too. We absolutely didn't want to leave. The front desk did give us an hour extra that allowed us to visit the Palais des Papes in the morning and to come back and shower after such a hot day before heading back to our car. We will definitely come back. This, along with the Best Western Premier in Orange , is among my best BW experience.

"A very nice option in Avignon"
efpatters, 16 Juin 2026

We recently spent 2 nights at the Hotel while on an independent bicycle trip in Provence. We were greeted warmly on arrival and since the room was not ready, the very friendly front desk staff was happy to take our bags and kindly allowed us to use the restroom in the bar area.= to freshen up. (It was a hot day and we had been bicycling) When we returned at 3 pm, the room was ready and they had already taken our bags to the room. The hotel is in a refurbished historic building and the rooms are all remodeled nicely. Our was a good size, the bathroom was totally modern, air-conditioning worked well (it was a hot week!), the windows blocked out all noise, wifi worked fine. The breakfast buffet was very complete and the breakfast room was well-kept even with a lot of guests coming and going The hotel location is great, just steps from anything you might want to do in Avignon. We would definitely stay here again.

"Nice hotel in centre of town"
JennyT887, 10 Juin 2026

Lovely friendly hotel that was in a great location. The hotel was clean and felt like the downstairs communal area had been renovated. Our bedroom was a good size, with a terrace and comfortable beds. In a great location for everything in Orange.

"As good as it gets!"
Adrienne M, 12 Mai 2026

An excellent hotel - very comfortable and clean, good beds and bedding, as well as modern bathroom and lavatory fittings. The staff are charming and the provision of a hospitality tray in the room was an unusual and a welcome amenity in a French hotel. The buffet breakfast is excellent with fresh home-cooked options, cereals, a varied and interesting selection of viennoiseries, freshly pressed orange juice and very good coffee. The small bar is well stocked, the drinks generous and reasonably priced. They will even lend umbrellas if needed! The location is excellent - at the end of the main shopping street, within easy walking of the museums, galleries, Papal palaces and gardens and - a real bonus- 5 minutes walk from the central railway station which also has regular services to the TGV station (about a 6 minute journey.

"A Wonderful 4-day stay in Avignon"
mdrpr, 27 Avril 2026

We stayed at Hotel De Cambis for 4 nights in February 2026. The hotel is ideally situated in the very attractive city of Avignon, a five-minute walk from the Centre train station, 12 minutes to Pont d'Avignon & 10 minutes to Palais des Papes. Lots of excellent places to eat all around. Coin-op laundromats nearby, & a very useful tourist office a few steps away from the main hotel entrance. The staff (front desk, breakfast, cleaning) at Cambis was outstanding in every way. Antoine & Angele at the front desk were very pleasant & helpful for the duration of our stay. Julien in particular did everything possible to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable & memorable. Our room was large, attractive, quiet, spotlessly clean & comfortable, with a beautiful (big shower) bathroom. We also had a French balcony with a lovely city view. Breakfast was served in a large, bright & pleasant room with big windows overlooking the street below. The food was all very good & the selection was quite nice. We look forward to staying at Cambis the next time we're in Avignon, which we hope will be soon. Un grand merci á tous. R & M Russo

"Solid hotel in AVignon"
ThomAtlanta, 21 Avril 2026

The Hotel DeCambis is a very nice hotel in a great location-a few blocks from the train station and a less than 10 minute walk to several restaurants and palace of the popes. Our room was very large with a comfortable king bed-decor was not very fancy but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size but the shower had a floor which was quite slippery. The standouts here are 1) the breakfast which has many fresh selections for a small hotel and staffed by a very kind man and woman and 2) a very friendly and helpful front desk.
