"A clean hotel with a good breakfast and very friendly staff"
Ewa G, 13 Novembre 2024

We spent four nights at this hotel as tourists. I want to single out the lovely receptionist. She gave us excellent tourist advice, helped us change the room to have one with a bath tub, and was overall extremely helpful. This is a decent, clean hotel, with a good breakfast, a small indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna, with a free parking. The entrance is gated, and one has to press the button to be let in. We always had to wait quite a while for the gate to open. On one occasion I had to walk in myself as there was no response. This can definitely be improved. The hotel is well situated, about 15 min drive from the centre of Avignon, and within one hour of many tourist attractions such as Arles, Nimes, Pont du Gard, Orange.

"One night at Best Western Plus Le Lavarin is enough not sure what the plus is for."
rangiora72, 18 Juillet 2024

We booked the hotel as it was close to the Avignon TGV for an early start next day to catch a train that is a plus. Arriving at the hotel it has a large fortified electronic gate which made us feel it was not in the best part of town and is more in an industrial area and quite a ride back into Avignon town center. The swimming pool and grounds are nice on a hot day but the pool needs some maintenance. The room is on the smaller side but ok for one night. We decided to have dinner instaed of going back into town as we had dropped of our rental and this was a mistake. There appeared to be a shortage of staff took ages to order. There was a nice outdoor area but no tables set outside only inside on a lovely evenin. The food arrived and to be honest they need a new chef we had to leave most of our food so give the dining a miss.

"Worn around the edges, poor organisation"
Gonzalo_de_Berceo, 06 Juillet 2024

I would qualify this hotel as 'passable'. Poor organisation in terms of welcome, breakfast, check-out. Infrastructure and rooms worn around the edges. Too expensive. Staff should go and visit the Mercure Avignon TGV to see how modern hotels are being run nowadays.

"Rude"
StephenS599, 20 Juin 2024

Rude staff. The receptionist was rude and has no customer skills. Was even sarcastic to me after I waited 2 hours for my room. Would like the manager to call me , refund me and I will check out and find another hotel. Avoid at all costs. Terrible place.

"Rude attitude"
ali37rose, 20 Juin 2024

Extremely disappointed with the attitude of Nimon on Reception. Not apologetic. Actually sarcastic when we were chasing the 3pm check in which was late. We are told the manager is on holiday. Very unhappy. There is no need for rudeness. We have had a long journey and are tired. We sat in the bar buying drinks we didn't want, waiting patiently until 3pm. There was no explanation or offer of a complimentary drink. People arrived after us and got in their room before us

"OK but needs improvement"
Barbara K, 19 Avril 2024

Clean-Bed is hard, pillows no fluff. It was so hot in the room we left the door to the balcony open all the time. Seems the heating system was on and could not be monitored. Ie. We could not use the A/C. Also pain the butt having to get out of your car & push the security button every time to want to enter the grounds. They should have a scan card system or put the button on the pole so that you don't have to get out of our car in the rain. Location: not good- you have to drive to everything. No restaurants within walking distance- it is quiet though Staff- are very nice, lovely cleaning staff Restaurant- is ok food, but high in $$ for what you get- Service was ok- Breakfast was included: ok for yogurt/fruit that sort of thing, but the scrambled eggs were either old and hard or undercooked, then left to go hard YUCK! Front Desk- is a hit and miss on service- ladies were great, but the man on duty one day could care less- How about a smile? Internet- not good Early check out and was not offered late check out. Balcony is a nice bonus. This would be a nice place in the summer for the grounds, but again you have to drive to everything

"BEST Best Western EVER"
buddhamind, 25 Août 2023

As an American, I can't wrap my mind around the fact that this hotel is part of the Best Western brand. When you think of Best Western in the U.S., you imagine a tired and basic motel sitting of the side of some innocuous super highway. This property is anything but tired or basic. For me, it was small, private, intimate, beautiful, and bordered on luxurious. The staff were helpful and kind. The room was cool, clean, quiet, and modern, though some might think small. The breakfast was in a setting, both inside and out, that seemed to me like a fine restaurant, and not your standard "breakfast with room" motel blandness kind of space. The glassware, the special jams, the juices, and crepes; all sweetly displayed and ready for enjoyment. And then the pool area in a garden setting, enough space for morning yoga and relaxing. Where am I? Shall I even go on? Maybe I'm not the right guy to write a review; I'm smitten with this Best Western. Oh boy, Avignon. Thank you.

"First time with Best Western definitely will return"
Jessie_Grosse, 10 Mai 2023

This is our first time with Best Western. High recommended place. All staff were so friendly and approachable that made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. 3-nights stay in the hotel, room was kept clean throughout. Bed was comfortable too.

"Made us feel very unwelcome"
sjoerdw756, 29 Avril 2023

When we checked in a couple of days ago after a long journey by car, we found that the restaurant was fully booked for a meeting of automobile enthousiasts. When we asked if we could have room service, this was denied. When I begged to make anything for my pregnant wife, who was not feeling well and desperately needed some food - a salad, a soup, a fried egg anything would do - this was refused also. We were advised to drive to the nearby mall and get some take away food there. I have never felt so unwelcome in a hotel. What is the point of a restaurant if you cannot serve your guests? When I complained about this in the email survey they sent me afterwards, I got an email from the hotel management saying they were sorry but I should have made a reservation. How was this going to be possible if the restaurant was fully booked anyway? Anyway, after having stayed here a few times, I wiil definitely NEVER COME BACK AGAIN.

"Best overall hotel in Avignon"
Tal H, 05 Octobre 2022

Very good hotel surrounded by beautiful and well maintained gardens, includes 2 pools, one heated, and I should must say very clean. The rooms are spacious, clean and makes you feels like home, at Best Western standard. The hotel serves very delicious breakfast and we have experienced Fabulous service. I would be grateful to mention Novi who was very professional, kind and representative.

"Very good hotel ..... but not perfect"
sadLsore1, 13 Septembre 2022

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting the area so had plenty of opportunity to assess its merits and overall I would give it a four out of five. Initially I was a bit doubtful as it seemed rather soulless but its one of those hotels that grows on you the longer you stay and we really enjoyed our time there. It's fairly small for a Best Western and situated in a commercial/industrial area to the south of Avignon and beyond what most people would consider to be a walkable distance so you need a car or you can make use of the local bus service that stops close to the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a small balcony overlooking the pool and garden which was all well-kept and pleasant to use. We also ate in the restaurant on 3 evenings and enjoyed the food but the menu is very limited with only four starter and main course options so not perfect for everyone. The big plus for the hotel was the quality of its staff who all seemed to be bi-lingual, enthusiastic and engaging, particularly Fabiola who was wonderful. If I was visiting the Avignon area again I would happily book BW Le Lavarin.

"Average hotel"
StationFive, 26 Septembre 2021

Stayed here as part of vacation. Average hotel - probably would not stay here again. Positives: - Rooms are clean. - Breakfast is good - Nice pool - Good secured parking if you have a vehicle Negatives: - Hotel is understaffed. As a consequence staff are over-worked and so some of them are not very friendly or helpful. (Others are nicer!) - Location is OK but not great if you do not have a vehicle. You can take a city bus to the centre of town or a moderate walk. - Dinner menu is limited and overpriced. But there isn't much around. If you are mobile, you're better off going into town.

"EXCELLENT "
roberttaa2016, 15 Janvier 2020

I will start with the fact that I didn't really like the feel of the hotel when we walked in (too cold)! And just like that, it all changed to HAPPY when Bastién welcomed us in with a handsome smile and warm welcome! The checkin was like lighting speed that it was painless! We planned on going out but got lazy so I went down and asked Bastién for delivery options and if he could make something to order. While he couldn't, a burger place was suggested. I went to the room and started calling and not one place that was less then one mile away from the hotel would deliver so back to plan 1, called Bastién and asked for their pasta special. And who delivers it? BASTIÉN! OMG! He was so fast I didn't get to give him his tip! Let me tell you, that PESTO PASTA was AMAZING! No picture cause I completely forgot to take one! Guess we were hungry! This was day 1! Next day we had their continental breakfast and it was good for what it was. What we loved was the service! Laura, Wlledet (not sure if that's the spelling but she's the Housekeeping Manager), Patríce & Simon wore so many hats that they ran that place sufficiently! We were impressed to say the least! Our room didn't have carpet so imagine how cold it was the first night. Turns out if you ask for a Balcony you will get a room with no carpet because the tracking in of dirt! We told Simon the next day, and when we got back from a very long day of exploring there was a manual heater in the room which kept us toasty all night! When we checked out there was a minor mistake and Patríce felt really bad! I told him not to worry he can fix it later! And yes it was fixed the very next day! The only thing I'd fix is maybe add a few more items to the continental breakfast! That's it! I couldn't find my printout to look over any charges cause Patríce did give me one and noticed charges on my bill! Called in and who answers? Bastién! I think the man lives there! Haha! Explanation was delivered and fixed almost immediately! I love when businesses don't dilly dally around you and immediately research and fix the problem if needed all within the same phone call! Expect the beautiful person that checked you in to bring you your room service order up, possibly sit you for breakfast and may very well check you out!! Have some cash and please tip these lovely people! Because of them this review is 5 stars! Loved it!

"Excellent hotel"
SLaraL, 31 Octobre 2019

We stayed in two rooms with our kids in August. It is really close to the TGV station, just a few minutes' taxi ride and easy to get into Avignon on the regular bus from outside the hotel. We stayed five nights and didn't hire a car at all. Great rooms, very clean, lovely pool and gardens and gorgeous little indoor pool too. Food and drinks are expensive so we only ate once in the evening and didn't have breakfast at all although would have done if it was cheaper. We knew this in advance and brought plastic bowls for the kids to have breakfast cereal in the room and made use of the bedroom fridges for milk and wine for the evening. No balconies but we relaxed in the very cosy chairs in the garden in the evening.

"Nice stay in Nice"
chloefrank428, 05 Octobre 2019

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The room/bathroom is tiny but it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It has a great location with walking distance straight to the beach and they have a relationship with a beach club where they'll reserve you a bed with a slight discount. There's a cute courtyard and the hotel staff is helpful, gave us a great dinner recommendation. They do have indoor parking which is helpful (extra cost) but if you're not from Europe just beware the spots are tight!

"Doesn't deserve even 1 star"
cheryl c, 04 Octobre 2019

My friend and I arrived at 4:30pm for a one night stay after having travelled from the south by train and taxi from the Gare in central Avignon. We hadn't eaten since 7 pm the night before and were starving. After checking in,we BEGGED the hostess for something to eat. She said there was nothing until 7pm AND nothing close by in the area. We asked for anything small......a croissant a piece of bread etc but the answer was "no have a nice stay" We actually had to taxi back to Avignon to get something to eat. My goodness I guess I should have asked to speak to the manager but was dumbfounded. This would never happen in Canada. I'm fairly confident hotel staff here would scramble around trying to help weary travellers.

"An overnight stay "
2FlyingCoconuts, 01 Octobre 2019

We expected to be in the Avignon area and chose the Best Western there. This is our normal choice when traveling. We arrived in daylight and found the hotel fairly easily. At night, returning from dinner in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, it was another story. The hotel is definately in an off-the-beaten-path area in Avignon. We found a very comfortable, nicely furnished room awaiting us. My husband is physically challenged and uses a walker, and he could not use the pool - a ladder, no steps with a handrail. This is a problem we encounter all over France. The French hotel branch has not yet discovered that guests with special needs travel too. Ah, and no handicapped parking was available either. Best Western Plus Le Lavarin is a quiet spot, with a courteous staff fluent in English. Now that we have found it, it is a spot worth returning to another time,

"Plus Plus Pool (interior)"

"Returning again to a little paradise"
JON T, 25 Août 2019

Each time I return to this little paradise hotel set in magical surroundings, the experience is even more special. Uniquely in my experience, Hotel Lavarin has offered me a true bespoke service with its exceptional standards - preparing exquisitely designed exotic health salads not on the regular menu, serving gloriously made desert delicacies and drinks anywhere and any time by request in the idyllic gardens, arranging precisely the exact perfectly peaceful room to my request, and all conducted with the finest discreet style by each and every one of the staff. They are meticulously chosen and supervised by the elegant and urbane and supremely tasteful owners Patricia and Simon and their superbly resourceful and devotedly committed manager Bastien, who takes the greatest trouble to ensure that each guest is personally looked after as ideally as possible. All this in a true beauty spot that calms and heals the stresses of life in a matter of minutes. Try having a gourmet dinner sitting outside in the peaceful quiet underneath the plane trees watching the sun set over the gardens - I know of no more therapeutic experience.

"Like a country house "
Irina M, 23 Août 2019

The garden with roses, lavender, singing birds and a pool turn it into heaven. The area is perfectly maintained, beach towels are provided. Not in the center, but the bus stop is nearby and buses were free because of the festival as the driver explained. One more nice option: Best Western guarantees ironing facilities. Highly recommend!!!

"Best deal in all of Avignon you don't want to miss!"
607Chicago607, 22 Août 2019

We arrived in the night tired and hungry after a long flight from LA and asked for a snack. Although the kitchen was closed, a staff member set up a table and served a beautiful assortment of cheeses, wine and a small entre. The magic of French hospitality had begun. Breakfast by the pool among the olive trees was sublime. Bastian, the restaurant manager, catered to our every whim throughout the day and evening. Clean rooms, enchanting grounds and the superb service made our stay in Avignon really special. Do not miss this hotel if you are in need of an oasis in Avignon City Center. Don't miss the dining room. Price value and top service by the staff make this a five star experience you won't want to miss! Thank you to all.

"Clean rooms and beautiful pools"
JasperRose, 31 Juillet 2019

The room was clean. A little basic but everything we could have asked for from a Best Western. The two pools were both beautiful. We swam in both the indoor and outdoor pools while we were there and it was very enjoyable. They both feel very new and clean. The sauna is also very nice and they seem to use fresh lavender in the room. The location is a little bit out of town. We had to catch a bus into Avignon centre but it was okay. We had a car and they have free parking so we were happy.

"Short break"
blessing112, 26 Juillet 2019

We chose to stay just outside Avignon to take advantage of the beautiful gardens, outdoor and indoor pools, air conditioning and our lovely room with private terrace. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and it only takes 10 mins to get to the centre of Avignon by taxi or local bus. We will recommend this hotel to our friends.

"Not in the best part of Town in Avignon"
Timothy R, 08 Juillet 2019

We were a little shocked by where this hotel was located, not in the best part of town, and a thirty minute car ride to downtown Avignon. It was however very secure, with a large gate with cameras everywhere. The hotel was relatively nice and clean, with only a few issues with broken furniture. We probably will not be going back to Avignon, as it has become a major tourist trap, and pick pockets are everywhere so be careful.

"Hidden Gem"
PaulL972, 29 Juin 2019

From the gate that opened to a peaceful interior to the lovely service in the restaurant, this location was a tranquil oasis. Both swimming pools were pleasant with the sauna an added bonus. The fitness center was just enough with an elliptical, treadmill, and weight machine. Breakfasts were a little crowded as this appears to also be a bus tour spot with a different tour every morning. Dinner was very well presented and tasteful.

"An exceptional hotel"
Dave C, 16 Juin 2019

We stayed five nights at the hotel and were very happy with the polite and friendly service and the very high quality and amenities of the room. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, because we thought the price was too expensive, although they offer a small breakfast for half the price. The hotel is only suitable for people with cars, and parking is free, but it is a bit out of the center of Avignon. The location of Avignon was fantastic for touring around Provence. The day we were in Avignon we took the bus which is near the hotel which goes to the center of Avignon.

"QUALITY NOT TO BE MISSED IN AVIGNON"
check_check, 12 Juin 2019

We returned to the hotel in May 2019 for the fifth year and spent a week in this superb location. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds in the southern part of Avignon with easy access to the centre. The staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble for them. This clearly comes from the influence of the owners who are very much in evidence around the hotel and you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the accommodation, meals and general ambience at the hotel is second to none. The bedrooms are very comfortable with all facilities and really good sized beds. There is a lift available to rooms on the first floor. There is excellent car parking but without a car you have a regular bus service outside the front gate which will take you into Avignon in 15 minutes. There is a central train station in Avignon and the TGV station is only a short distance from the hotel, again with a bus service available outside. The hotel is bright and airy and has both outdoor and indoor pools, the latter with a small gym also available. Quality and choice of food is excellent. Dining from breakfast onwards can be inside, in a covered outside terrace or actually outside in the beautiful gardens. It is a truly wonderful hotel with equally wonderful owners and management. We will be back next year to spoil ourselves again.

"Exceptional stay"
camillae1964, 05 Juin 2019

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Le Lavarin last week at very short notice, when my father was hospitalised in Avignon. The care and attention we were given, at extremely short notice, was second to none. Simon, Patricia and the whole team looked after us all so well and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the dining facilities first class.

"A tranquil oasis"
Julian L, 09 Mai 2019

This hotel is really for people with cars as it is a little way out of town and there are no restaurants nearby. Behind the high walls is a beautiful garden of mature olive trees, plane trees, roses, and many other plants. I suspect the hotel has been built on the site of an old farm. There's an indoor and an outdoor pool as well as a gym. The restaurant on site serves very good food. We had a room with a terrace and a view and it was very comfortable - bed linen and towels are very good. It's only a very short drive to a Centre Commercial if you need to do some shopping. As it's behind a high wall with an electronic gate the car park is very secure. I would give this hotel 5 stars, but for a couple of things: 1 Breakfast goes off at 9:30 - it's meant to be a resort!!! This is far too early. 2 I wasted a lot of time and energy finding the place. The signage from one direction is okay, but from the other is non-existent!!! You need to do better here folks.

"NEW CLEAN COMFORTABLE"
Voyage26185200626, 21 Avril 2019

Brand new interior, absolutely clean, very comfortable bed! Exterior is very nice, swimming pool is good. But I have some recomendations. The food should be more delicious, the receptionist(not Patricia) should be more attentive.

"Comfortable hotel"
Yoramshap, 29 Septembre 2018

It is located outside the center but only about 10 mins drive. Quiet and clean with all the amenities needed. Owner very friendly and helpful. Great brekfast. Very nice restaurant for dinner. Swimming pool.

"Best breakfast and a gem restaurant for dinner!"
JoBeDeBa, 27 Septembre 2018

Although the room was on the smaller side, the garden, the pool , the friendly and very accommodating receptionists and waiters, compensated for that. The breakfast serves a huge selection of choices, from local meats, cheeses, to fresh fruit, jams, pastry and breads! Ah, the French breads.... We also had dinners at the restaurant and we were very impressed by the modern style of the dishes, the wine was excellent; we would go back anytime! Compliments to the chef, Alex!

"Great location in Provence"
marcied414, 24 Septembre 2018

We stayed three nights at the Best Western Le Lavarin and it was very nice. Our room was very clean and modern. It is fairly small by American standards for a Best Western though. The garden and pool were very nice and private. The whole property feels very safe and the gate out front is locked a good part of the day (just ring the bell for reception and it opens automatically from the inside when you drive up to it). It is a hotel that it would be better to have a car since it's not in the old city walls of Avignon (and much easier for it). Nearby grocery store and gas at Carrefour made quick meals easy instead of always eating out. Tiny fridge in the room available. We did not eat breakfast or other meals at their restaurant, so I can't say much to that, but I know it is EUR 16/per person for breakfast. Front desk staff very helpful about parking locations to visit the old city and they speak English. All in all, I would definitely stay in this hotel again to be able to explore Provence.

"Good hotel but noisy room, friendly staff, secure parking."
AnneTr2015, 22 Septembre 2018

Choose this hotel because of the secure parking. We were unlucky because they gave us a room closest to the lobby. From early in the morning, slamming doors (probably 1 of them needs fixing) and loud cleaning staff woke us up. No sound proofing. Therefore avoid rooms 29 and 11. Breakfast is nice but would expect more for the price they are charging. On a positive note: staff are very friendly, easy bus service into town and had we been given a different room, it would have received a better rating.

"A Little Paradise"
jontolansky, 01 Septembre 2018

“A little paradise” – and yet this unique gem Le Lavarin, with its gloriously spacious and magically flowered and tree-lined gardens nestling serenely and tranquilly in a leafy rural location, its soothingly peaceful and delicately designed bedrooms, and its large and private surrounding grounds and swimming pool, is yet just minutes from the centre of Avignon. That alone qualifies Le Lavarin as a rare ideal place to stay in if you are sensitive about location, privacy and peace near a city. But this is only part of the story of this very special hotel. The cuisine is magnificent, of the very highest and healthiest calibre, with a chef who designs individual dishes with great subtlety and imagination. And the service: every person in the first-class staff has been chosen with great care for their urbanity, resourcefulness and obliging conscientiousness. And that is because the owners of Le Lavarin, who oversee everything and welcome their guests in style, are refined and caring people with the very highest of standards and tastes. One would expect to pay a high price for such special quality – but Le Lavarin offers remarkable value for its excellent comfort, beautiful location, marvellous cuisine and exemplary service. This superb hotel truly is a little paradise. Especially if you are of a sensitive nature, it is an impeccable place for mind and body. Jon Tolansky

"Very Relaxing Hotel with Beautiful Gardens"
Randy C, 08 Août 2018

We stayed here for a few nights upon arriving in France. Great choice! The room was clean and comfortable but definitely on the small side. The restaurant was very good, and that's fortunate, because the hotel is well away from the old city and a choice of restaurants. We found the quiet, the beautiful grounds and the good service to be acceptable trade-offs. If you take the train from Marseille, debark at the high-speed station on the outskirts of Avignon and take a short cab or Uber ride to Le Lavarin. Very highly recommended for travelers who need to rest and decompress!

"Wonderful holiday in Avignon"
RS187634, 07 Août 2018

We stayed 6 days in this lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. We ate breakfast in the hotel a few times and there was lots of choice. The garden is lovely and the swimming pool was great given that we were there during a heatwave. The aircon in the room was powerful. The hotel is on the outskirts of Avignon, close to the TGV station. The bus stop is just outside the hotel and it takes about 10-15 mins to get to the town centre. I recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

"Rooms are very clean"
RU_EU, 02 Août 2018

Their rooms are very clean. Generally this is what i care the most in a hotel. However, they messed my reservation confusing me with another person. Also there is nothing near this hotel, no grocery store, no places to eat, no entertainment. You need a car if you plan to stay here.

"Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the best of Provence"
Sukneva A, 27 Juin 2018

The hotel is an excellent place for a getaway in Provence. Lovely garden with lavender and olive trees make you forget about all the troubles and enjoy every moment spent here. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all necessary equipment and accessories. Breakfast is good , with selection of cheese, ham, salmon, fruits, pastry. Dinner is good as well, with a choice of starters, soups and main courses. It's very helpful to know you don't have to search for anything in the city centre and wait for a table in order to have a good dinner and relax on the terrace with a place of wine. For those who travel by car there is a spacious free parking. Outdoor pool is also a bonus after a day of travel. The staff is very friendly and helpful in everything. We would return again for sure.

"Best Staff"
93kirsteng, 04 Juin 2018

We ended up in Avignon due to a family members medical emergency on our trip, and were in competition with a huge soccer tournament for hotel rooms in the area. Although this hotel could only accommodate us for 1 night, their staff went above and beyond to help us find another hotel nearby, and we really appreciate all they did for us! The rooms, although small, were clean and the beds were comfortable.

"We appreciated this hotel"
gmagoes, 29 Mai 2018

We had reserved rooms at another hotel that did not meet our needs, so wound up arriving without reservations at 11pm. The receptionists were VERY helpful and showed us several room options which were all acceptable to us. We had a nice, clean, quiet room and the receptionists also gave us several restaurant and tourist suggestions, all of which were helpful for us during our stay. We stayed there for two nights and felt very welcomed.

"NEVER CEASES TO PLEASE"
check_check, 29 Mai 2018

We've just returned from another delightful stay at the Hotel Lavarin - our third visit. Although the hotel is a little distance outside the centre of Avignon, there is an excellent bus service from directly outside the hotel. It is only a 5 minute drive away from the TGV station and there is also another station in the centre of the town. The hotel is set in lovely grounds with plenty of secure parking as the electric access gate is quite often locked. The owners are very much in evidence and take a personal interest in the comfort and well being of their guests. One of their duty managers in particular, Bastien, is a real credit to the place. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he has helped us on a number of occasions with arranging a hire car and other travel arrangements in Provence. The senior staff are just so friendly and obliging and many also speak very good English - as do the owners and Bastien. There is a choice of bedrooms and the superior rooms overlook the gardens and the swimming pool - very nice. We have always found the beds extremely comfortable and it is a lovely quiet hotel. From next year there will also be an inside pool. Breakfast is self service but you have a choice of sitting either inside the hotel, or at a table in an open fronted area or at a table outside in the garden. Dinner has to be pre-booked but we can highly recommend the quality. From the moment you walk through the door it feels 'light and airy' and it is in excellent condition throughout. Highly recommend Hotel Lavarin and my wife and I will be returning next year.

"Very good rooms"
StuVern, 12 Mai 2018

This hotel is a little way out of central Avignon but there is a pleasant walk in to town if you go via the residential areas. The room we stayed in was very good indeed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good car parking and secure. The restaurant is ok but I would suggest eating in Avignon.

"Perfect Spot to explore the area"
cirtropical, 05 Mai 2018

The Location is ideal to atart your visit through Provence. From there we drove to winneries, lavanda fields and medieval cities. Make sure you talk to Novie. She paid attention to the details, point out others attactions around the area. She made the difference.

"Surprised "
TACCooke, 26 Mars 2018

Arrived after 8pm and found the restaurant closed onsite, the very nice staff member did say we could ring a local takeaway for delivery but it all became too hard, no vending machine either but we could purchase drinks and some fruit so that was fine. I must say the young gentleman did go out of his way to assist so thank you to him. Our room....what a surprise! The appointments were excellent. The layout was typical for a hotel room but the thought and quality of the fixtures and fittings, eg full size walk in shower with glass door, excellent quality bed and pillows, lighting, the actual design of the room made it quite special. Colour palette very nice too. We didn't have breakfast as I felt 16 euros each was on the high side. A quality property that is close to the tgv station. Would definitely recommend.

"Great location and super staff"
ana_leon1986, 02 Novembre 2017

Stopped by for a couple of days with my significant half for a couple of days, ordered the “lovers package” - 85 euro bottle of champagne, heart shaped rose petals on bed and all over, expensive chocolates and for an additional 45 euro per day we upgraded to the executive room with terrace which was great. The staff was amazing, room unbelievably clean, the restaurant food super affordable and delicious! What more can we ask for? Perfection at it's best! Can't wait to go back! Thank you for everything!

"Day before Viking river cruise"
Gwmorgan63, 25 Octobre 2017

We arrived in Avignon on the TGV from Paris around 17:00. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the train station. The hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The grounds are very beautiful and well maintained the staff are very friendly and attentive. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious. The room was very clean and well appointed. The room rate at 89 Euros was reasonably priced. Breakfast was buffet style with many available choices including , squeeze your own orange juice. The hotel is only a fifteen minute taxi ride fro The cruise ship. However if you want enjoy the charms of old Avignon you will need to take a taxi as well. This hotel was well suited to our needs and I would strongly recommend it for its charm and value.

"Lovely hotel and friendly staff"
lovemike, 18 Septembre 2017

Currently staying here until the 22nd Sept. Don't normally like hotel meals but have had 2 enjoyable meals during my staff. The staff are very friendly and helpful and would definitely stay here again

"Outstandingly fine value for the beautiful location and exemplary service"
jontolansky, 27 Août 2017

This recently renovated hotel offers outstanding value for its excellent comfort, beautiful location, marvellous cuisine and exemplary service by all the urbane and resourceful staff. Its prime assets are: i) its glorious spacious and richly flowered gardens, with swimming pool, in a leafy rural location that is yet just minutes from the center of Avignon; ii) its soothing peace and tranquility, both in the day and at night - I am a very poor and nervous sleeper, yet here I slept with ease; iii) its superb food, truly first class, imaginative and healthy; iv) its exemplary service by all the staff who have been carefully selected for their urbanity, resourcefulness and obliging conscientiousness. As a long-time, very experienced international traveller with many unhappy experiences in far more costly hotels, this superbly managed place offers remarkable value, especially if you are of a sensitive nature. "Perfect place, nice room, nice dinner and breakfast"
peterzE13JL, 21 Août 2017

We rented bikes and drove to the center of Avignon. Pool is perfect to relax a day or two....The service and receptionists were perfect and Austrian. the rooms are big and quiet. All in all a perfect day in a very nice atmosphere. You also can dine in the hotel.

"Great base for exploring Avignon and further afield"
Sennockian2014, 18 Août 2017

We stayed here recently for 5 nights while we explored Provence. It's clean, modern, well-run & maintained, has a nice pool area, onsite parking and has a great breakfast buffet. Also serves good evening meals if you don't fancy going into the city of Avignon for dinner (there are no restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel). We also found the staff very helpful and pleasant. In fact it's very hard to fault this place and we'd like to thank Novie for her particular help and kindness to us during our stay.

"Overpriced but excellent service"
m1st3ryGu3st, 30 Juillet 2017

Well, we booked this hotel because of the good reviews and pictures. And because of the swimming pool in a green environment. We booked an "executive" room with sofa bed for our daughter. Well, probably they only have very little executives in France because the room, with the sofa bed extracted, was SMALL. Well maybe not the total square metres but it felt SMALL. we had to put all our luggage in the closet to make some room for ourselves. However, beds were Excellent, nice big flat screen tv, nespresso coffee maker in the very clean room. The bathroom was very clean and relatively big with an excellent shower and seperate bath. And a funny gadget, a window from the bathroom into the bedroom part with..... electronic luxaflex!!! Why? Why? Anyway, room was small but very clean, and everything worked so that made up for the size. Unfortunately we had a bad experience at the restaurant. We ordered medium rare steak (all 3 of us) and had to send it back once because it was well done, even the second time it was well done (so the cook screwed up 6 steaks!!) but since we were very hungry we decided to eat the steak anyway (waitress felt very embaressed, the second round she waited to see if the steak was good, and was even more embaressed when she saw the steak was again well done) (after complaining we didn't had to pay 1 steak, nice gesture but imho every euro paid was too much) Breakfast is ok, but the coffee, from a Nescaffe machine, was the worst i ever had!) furthermore since hotel is nit on an A lication the breakfast should have been invluded in the price, nit an additional €15 p/p extra! Anyway. Staff is extremely friendly and willing to help. Rooms are very clean and bed was awesome. Nice garden and swimming pool. Too bad for the price, bad food and expensive breakfast. Will i go back? Probably not, but it's a good choice when going to Avignon

"Surprising good hotel on the outskirts of Avignon"
Ruth B, 19 Juin 2017

Firstly there was on site parking, which is a real bonus. The hotel was a little bit out of town, which suited us, I loved that we could park the car safely and easily. It was a very quick trip to the centre of Avignon, plus close to the TGV station where we had to return our car and catch a train the next day. The staff were amazing. Earlier in the day I had done some washing, but some of the clothes were not properly dried. The receptionist arranged for them to be dried and folded for me and they were done before we'd even finished dinner. Plus they didn't charge for this (I was willing to pay). They were so helpful. The room was just a little small, but it was very modern and comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious. I would heartily recommend to others visiting Avignon by car to stay here and travel to the centre of Avignon (about 10 minutes), rather than try to get a hotel in the centre of Avignon and have to negotiate the tiny streets and limited parking. This hotel also has a lovely pool and garden and it is very quiet. The restaurant was only average for dinner. But the breakfast was good.

"Great value, great hotel."
PhilNichols, 09 Juin 2017

This hotel is situated close to the TGV station. There is also a bus stop 50 metres from the entrance so travelling into Avignon centre was easy (and cheap!) The hotel has obviously undergone recent refurbishment and is very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and efficient. The gardens are extremely well designed and once in them you would never realise that you were in the suburbs of the town. There was virtually no noise at all. The swimming pool was well maintained and most welcome after a hard day's sightseeing. We ate in the restaurant on two occasions. The food was very good (if a little on the pricey side) All 8 of us ordered a variety of dishes and all were completely satisfied. The staff were aware of what food was gluten free and what was not. Breakfasts were lavish if (to my mind at 14 euros) a bit expensive. There was plenty of high quality food available and to be able to sit on the terrace in the morning sunshine was a real treat. My only slight criticism is that the hotel was unable to supply any gluten free bread in the morning hence why only 4 rather than 5 grade.

"Nice hotel on the outskirts, good value for money"
Tapashya M, 30 Mai 2017

We stayed here for 3 nights and we had a classic double room. The room was very clean and the shower was very modern. We also found the bus connection really easy to get to and from the centre of Avignon. It takes less than 15 mins to get there with the No 2 bus which runs almost until 23:00 on weekdays every 30 mins or so. On Sundays, the bus stops around 19:30 though. Since the hotel was on the outskirts, you get really good value for your money and the pool is also a very nice size for a quick dip or two in the morning and evenings after a long day out.

"SUPERB HOTEL AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED"
check_check, 30 Mai 2017

This is a lovely hotel, situated in its own grounds with plenty of car parking. The electric gate provides great security. We stayed here in 2015 which is why we booked to stay again when we returned in 2017. We found the staff to be superb - friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The whole 'feel of the place' appealed to us. The grounds are well kept and breakfast can be taken outside or inside (with lovely views of the gardens). There was a good selection available for breakfast and it was very enjoyable. Our bedroom was clean and spacious, overlooking the gardens and had everything we might require. Wi-fi worked very well. There is ease of access by bus into Avignon (from outside the hotel) and very cheap fares. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the town and once you go through the gate it's like an 'oasis of its own'. We will be returning to Avignon as we just love the area and we will definitely be staying at Hotel Le Lavarin.

"1st Night in France"
Randy B, 13 Mai 2017

Wow, this place was VERY clean and secure. The meal in the restaurant for dinner was good. The staff was was very helpful, and spoke a little english. We loved the breakfast, with many choices. The one downfall was no A/C. Although we opened the window and slept great.

"Very nice stay and close to Palais des Pape"
Diana H, 18 Avril 2017

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in November 2016. It was very quiet, comfortable, clean, and modern. They were refurbishing, and we had a great room. My husband speaks a little French, and the staff was very helpful in pointing out the roadways to get to the Palais des Pape, which is wonderful and another story. We stayed two nights. I would recommend this hotel.

"Top and flop"
Philip7691, 31 Mars 2017

- the property is just beside the crematory! - The proposed superior room was not more than a small cabin with tiny toilet and bathroom. - The breakfast costs EUR 15.- but was of low quality and served by slow waitors. - the car park is good and safe.

"Nice place to stay"
Andrea F, 14 Mars 2017

I got the impression that this hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment, and some parts outside are "still work in progress". The hotel is very attractive and modern inside, more so than the outside currently suggests. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a modern ensuite. The restaurant wasn't open on the Sunday night that we arrived, which was disappointing as we were tired and hungry, and the nearest eateries still required a car trip, albeit short, and these were "fast food" type places. However our second night we were able to eat in the hotel restaurant and the food was good. The breakfast was very good indeed, with a juicer for fresh orange juice, pancakes, fresh fruit and the usual cereals, cheeses and meats. Our original reasoning for choosing this hotel was that it had private parking and, being a little out of the centre of Avignon, was lovely and quiet! Would stay again.

"Happily Surprised"
Jusso1, 12 Novembre 2016

I arrived here around 7.00pm and was checked in by a really helpful lady on reception. My room was great, a large lovely comfortable bed, a lovely bathroom with a great deep bath and rainfall sort of shower from the ceiling. I went to the restaurant for my evening meal and had gorgeous garlic mushrooms for starters and a lovely fillet steak for my main, very nice. All washed down with a glass of wine. I retired to my room and had a lovely sleep. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with lots to choose from. I would stay here again if I go back to Avignon.

"Mosquito central"
SimonCDorset, 22 Octobre 2016

What a shame. If the main thing a hotel offers is a night's sleep this can't score well. Whilst the room was lovely it had a serious infestation problem with many mosquitos in the ducting biting all night. As the air conditioning doesn't work you have a choice of open the window to the ferocious insects, no air, or hot air. Food was nice but expensive. Extremely helpful Indonesian receptionist rather better than the 14 year old who didn't know where the hotel was.

"Great hotel for an overnight stay!"
Caryl T, 13 Septembre 2016

Welcoming staff, rooms are on the small side but very clean and well fitted out our bathroom also had a big bath. The beds are comfortable.. The restaurant food was good, service was quick and friendly. There is also a swimming pool which we didn't use but looked very inviting!!

"If you are driving, this is the best place in town"
thebipbip, 19 Août 2016

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are slightly on the small side but very well equipped, clean with great bathrooms. The garden and pool are very pleasant. The restaurant serves good food but it has a very limited selection of dishes and it is pricy. I ate there on the first night, noticed that most other patrons were Dutch. Therefore the dishes were what the Dutch consider to be French food :-) There is a secure free parking for your car. I was told there was a bus going into town but I used my car, it was easy from there to the inner city parking garage. I recommend this hotel because it is safe, clean, pleasant and much cheaper than its equivalent inside the town.

"GOOD HOTEL BUT BAD STAIRCASE OF THE SWIMMING POOL..."
SAG291137, 04 Juillet 2016

Best Western hotels are a medium class one , with a reasonable price & service and this one complies with the expectations , but this time I would like to point out one problem we had with the staircase of the swimming pool : It wasn't fixed well on the ground an at the moment to get in or out of the pool a dangerous movement acurred. My wife got a sprain in her ankle because of this. They were warned about it . The maintenance of that sensible facility is a must. It happened during 2 days , later we don't know because we left the hotel.

"Great hotel for a few nights stay, ."
Chaz57, 04 Juillet 2016

Not overly impressed with Avignon, once your in the old town, its fine, outside the old town walls, we never felt safe. Hotel fine as protected behind electric gates, Hotel approx 10 minutes & 15euro cab ride into the centre. Loads of bars restaurants to choose from. Hotel clean, modern & boutique style, excellent breakfast, but pricey compared to other places, but convenient , as hotel is isolated from bars & cafes. would I use again.. Yes because of price, but if you can afford to stay with old city walls, go for that.. your safer.

"Very good hotel "
meehal1090, 01 Juillet 2016

Free parking / a friendly welcome and a lovely room - all the staff were very attentive and friendly to be honest. The pool area is lovely and the dinner we had was of a very high standard. The hotel is near a bus stop - €1.30 to go into Avignon centre and takes about 15 minutes. Breakfast has no English option and is very bread fruit and continental breakfast based but was nice and plenty of choice. Use this hotel as a base to visit Avignon orange pont du gard and nimes. Would def stay again.

"Very relaxing experience "
primozhoce, 23 Juin 2016

This is how a really nice hotel experience should feel! Very kind and supportive staff, beautiful and clean facilities (pool and the garden) beautiful rooms. I would just expect little more choice at breakfast and a mini bar. Easily recommended! Would definitely return.

"Good 3-star hotel"
tomwO6177GV, 20 Juin 2016

Nice 3-star hotel that is modern and set in pleasant gardens with swimming pool. Staff are very friendly and competent. The hotel is in its own gated grounds, around 8-10 minutes drive from the walled city of Avignon. There's also a regular bus (No. 2) that passes close to the hotel every 15 minutes until late evening. The area around the hotel, apart from a major hospital, is not a proposition for an evening walk and you're best to spend time in the main city area. Overall, we had an enjoyable four nights there.

"Friendly staff, great room & close to transport"
Ian H, 19 Juin 2016

We were greeted by friendly, informative staff who were happy to profer suggestions on areas we might like to visit and the best way to get there! The room was modern and well equipped and the restaurant meal was equal to anything we have had in our two weeks in France. Best way to visit the old town is by bus which stops less than 50 metres from reception. Our car stayed in the hotel secure park for the 2 nights of our stay.

"Lovely 3 star"
Heiðar K, 16 Juin 2016

Stayed one night with the family. It was a plesent surprise to find this lovely hotel. Service and food was good. My boys loved the pool and the ping pong table. Only two floors so it is a quiet place. Short taxi ride to the city center 8 to 13 €.

"comfortable nice hotel"
Shlomit L, 11 Juin 2016

great hotel if you have a car and you want to use it as a base for trips. about 9 minutes drive from the old city of Avignon, and located in a quiet street of a suburb. The rooms are big and comfortable, great shower, rich breakfast and the tables are facing the lovely garden and the small pool and very helpful stuff.

"Fantastic all round!!"
Sophie W, 13 Mai 2016

This hotel is fantastic & well deserves its 3 star rating. From the street it doesn't look so appealing but step behind the wall & you are greeted with a well designed & pretty space. Lovely outdoor area, with pool & dining courtyard & good sized/equipped reception area & rooms. The hotel is modern & has everything you need. Nice complimentary items (hot drinks + extras available from reception). Bathroom is slightly on the small size but very functional & well equipped. Beds & pillows are very comfortable too. We had breakfast & dinner at the hotel restaurant & both times we really enjoyed the food. Great menu, excellent presentation, lovely flavours...couldn't ask for more! What really makes this hotel great though is the staff. All are very friendly, speak great English & bend over backwards to help you & make you feel at home. I can't speak highly enough of them & just listening to other guests who were staying at the same time as us, they felt the same. Particular thanks to Novie, who was so kind & helpful & we looked forward to coming back second time around to be served by her. She is a real credit to the team. Thanks for a great (x2) stay!!!

"If you re going through Avigon .. don t hesitate not stop there"
bronaldsfr, 12 Avril 2016

Once you ll reach the parking lot, you ll discover that you re in a different world... amazing environment, very nice hotel, very typical and modern at the same time .. The style, colours and decoration used there are very awesome ... I d like to stay more time .. but unfortunately as any great thing . it s always has an end ;-) I won t forget the People working at that hotel, how professional they are and the smile won t leave their faces even if they are fully booked ... Great deal and very very nice experience... Thank you for your kindness and your lovely smile :-)

"Exceptonally friendly and homely atmosphere"
GalwayJko, 20 Octobre 2015

We stayed here for two nights while visiting the lovely town of Avignon. It was a short bus ride from the town and the stop was directly outside the hotel. We were bowled over by the friendliness of the staff from the moment that we arrived until we left. The lady that greeted us on arrival was thoroughly professional and was genuine in her interest in making our stay just perfect. We had dinner in the restaurant and were spoiled with first class service and food from beginning to end. We wanted to make a special mention and thanks to Novie who was delightful in her service and conversation in fluent English.

"Does exactly what it says on the tin"
Matt F, 13 Octobre 2015

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is modern and the rooms are small but functional and extremely clean. There are no shops or restaurants around the hotel so you either need a car or to take the bus into Avignon but we found the bus stop, as advertised, within 20m of the hotel. Although the bus is regular during the day, beware that it stops running regularly after 9.20pm. We had breakfast but, while it was OK, found it to be a bit expensive, particularly when you can get a perfectly nice breakfast at a boulanger for a fraction of the cost. Dinner was very nice however. The staff were bend over backwards helpful throughout our stay. All in all a very nice hotel and excellent value for money (we booked online and got a significant discount to the advertised rate).

"Delightful surprise"
Cynthia N, 06 Octobre 2015

After escaping the flood in Cannes, I could not drive far so we took the first available hotel in Avignon France. The location is clearly for business or people dealing with the local hospital, BUT the service put the Raddisson Blu in Cannes to shame. So did the kitchen. Kind souls who could tell we had had a very bad time, when we came down to dinner after talking about ordering take out chinese, the concierge asked why we didn't ask her for help. (The person at the Chinese place couldn't understand my French). I explained I was too exhausted to fight the language fight. The entire staff cosseted us, with an immaculate steak smothered in a wild mushroom sauce, a firs gras du canard that was divinely sweet and astringent at the same time, and perfectly crispy frites, to go with the beef and the double serving of sauce. The house wines were a lovely crispy rose, and a richly flavoured red that complimented the beef perfectly. And the kicker, at the end I ordered Armagnac for my kids and a Marc for myself, and the pours were at least doubles. They were incredibly generous. Again, service can overwhelm poor things like location. And a conscientious chef with good ingredients can save an otherwise horrible day.

"Pretty good hotel"
Wilfred N, 30 Septembre 2015

Stayed here for two nights. The hotel itself is a bit modern to my taste but good. Ample parking is available. As pointed out by others, you do need a car to go to the old city (well, you could take a taxi of course). We had dinner in the hotel after arrival, quality was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK but no more than that. Elevator was broken and stayed that way during our stay.

"Good two days"
JackNicklaus, 27 Septembre 2015

We stayed here for two days. Hotel is not in the City centre but there is a goodbye service which takes about 10 minutes to the city walls. Convenient for car parking and easy access by car to places like Pont du Gard. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms and fairly quiet (some traffic noise, some bedroom doors need oiling!). Pleasant staff. We didn't eat in in the evenings - breakfast good. We would stay here again.

"A bit far from the city centre"
JackRobinson10, 21 Septembre 2015

We stayed here twice and enjoyed the comfortable bed and generous breakfast buffet. The bathroom was painfully small, and the pool is not large. It's on a quiet street more than a mile from the old city, making it rather complicated to get back and forth.

"Highly recommend staying here if you have a car."
damyd, 12 Septembre 2015

Loved this hotel. The property appears to be fairly new and I am also partial to the modern style. My biggest pet peeve when I book hotels in Europe is that the pictures almost never represent what you actually get. I am happy to say that this is not the case with this property. As with my other hotel reviews I am breaking down the rating based on various criteria. Location: 3 stars, really this is not near any tourist attraction. You need to have a car or use the local transit system. Property: 4 stars, you get free parking, a nice pool area and a very nicely kept property. Rooms: 4 stars, rooms are clean, air conditioning works wonderfully and beautiful modern bathrooms. Staff: 4 stars, very friendly and helpful staff. Note: We did not eat at the hotel so I cannot rate the food or service. In general, great hotel in a quite neighborhood. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are driving.

"Convenient for an overnight but nothing else good to say about it."
SafariSam, 09 Septembre 2015

Room adequate, car parking good, restaurant poor, service poor, location terrible for city amenities. Disgraceful restaurant service with an officious member of staff who was actually only a trainee refusing tables to guests on the basis that did not have a reservation, who on check in had been told they did not require a reservation. Don't need that on a long journey. Not likely to repeat visit

"Garden oasis in business park by the tgf station"
JocheRoche, 06 Septembre 2015

The trivago map showed this hotel as being in the centre of avignon which it is not and when I booked direct I was not advised of this so was very disappointed on arrival. Good points Clean room Comfy bed Nice bathroom Lovely pool area and garden very relaxing Bad points The manager was very well rehearsed and mean when I asked for a partial refund due to the lack of clarity about the location Things to know Great stopover if you are arriving by tgf - you can walk to the hotel from there there is a bus from the hotel from the centre which is about 1euro each, much better than taxi at 25euros I would choose the very central hotel de l'horloge above this every time our friends stayed there it was cheaper and better

"Very pleasant stay! Most recommended!"
annalisa_m89, 23 Août 2015

If you are to spend a few days in Avignon this is definitely a nice place to stay. Clean and very quiet and situated in a good position even if (like us) you want to visit places in the countryside near the city. Location: the hotel is 4 km away from the downtown and in a very good position, because you can enjoy the tranquility of the place and still you can get to the old town within 10 minutes by car. The only "problem" is that there are no restaurants nor pubs near the hotel, so you have to take the car and go downtown if you want to eat or have a drink. The room: it was super comfortable even if we stayed in the "Standard room" (the cheapest). Both the room and the bathroom were VERY clean and the place was so quiet. The room is equipped with anything you may need: a good WiFi connection, a tea pot with coffee, tea and milk offered by the hotel, a small wardrobe, satellite TV etc.. The restaurant: on the menu there's not much choice and I think it is a bit too expensive, so if you can, I suggest to dine in one of the many restaurant and bistro in the old town. The extras: the hotel as a nice garden, also very quiet, with a nice swimming-pool, some beach chairs and a place where you can have breakfast or dinner outside. The staff is very nice and helpful.

"Serenity"
Alicia b, 20 Août 2015

Can't say enough nice things about this hotel. Was pleasantly surprised at the modern Decor, and the amount of space, both indoors and out. All hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite plentiful with many choices, also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent, purchased a lovely bottle of wine which we took to our room to enjoy. The hotel is located away from the city center and we chose that since we did have a car. This is a tranquil hotel which is a nice treat after traveling and sightseeing all day.

"Fabulous Staff"
NZSailfish, 15 Août 2015

We needed a hotel for 2 nights when our travel plans were disrupted. We did not realise that the Avignon festival was on and this was the only option we could afford even though the rates had almost doubled due to the festival. The bus to Avignon stops right outside and its really easy to catch it there and back. We had one meal at the hotel which was just fine. The menu is limited but the food we received was great. The staff, especially the indonesian woman (sorry didn't get the name) went out of her way to be helpful. She is a real asset to this hotel. The reception staff also had wonderful attitudes and really demonstrated superb customer service. The pool was a life saver. We had a room on the top floor with a little balcony which was fabulous. The only variable was that the shower needed a bit of a clean. If you run blue lights in the shower they show up all the blemishes. Apart from that and the outrageous price which we reluctantly agreed to pay, this was a good stay.

"Thankyou to the very helpfull staff"
ukgirl23, 14 Août 2015

I just want to say a Big thanking to novie i think her name was She showed us a map to the car autorail because we where lost thankyou for your help ! Thankyou :) We wouldnt off found it if we didnt find this helpfull hotel Would visit here again it looks loverly

"Excellent"
Alan K, 07 Août 2015

We could find nothing bad to say about this hotel or its food. I would recommend it to anyone. The local bus service into Avignon ran on time was fast and low cost. A little studying of the time table reduced waiting to a minimum, dinner was excellent.

"A bit far from Avignon Rempart"
Richard B, 22 Juin 2015

The restaurant and the pool area are all together surrounded by a nice garden. Dining alfresco was very enjoyable. The hotel is not at walking distance from the train stations nor the Avignon historic district and there is no shuttle service provided by the hotel, bus or taxi are your only options. The reception staff was outstanding but the restaurant servers were inexperienced and slow, the food portion was small for the price.

"Great Stay"
Jane M, 20 Juin 2015

Lovely ambience in the hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Slightly out of the centre but the city bus route was convenient and regular. Great facilities and easy manner. Gardens and poolside area was a delightful area to relax in

"Hot week in Avignon!"
nickBed4d, 07 Juin 2015

A gem of a hotel near Avignon. Temperatures were over 30 degrees and the beautiful lawned garden and outdoor pool were a wonderful refreshing retreat after sightseeing in the city and towns of Provence. We arrived by Eurostar and caught bus 14 from station directly to hotel. All bus journeys are 1 euro 30 and the no 2 bus takes ten minutes to the city. Hotel was very welcoming and spotlessly clean. We didn't eat at the hotel but there was an outdoor restaurant. Kettle and fridge in room were very handy. Bathroom was newly renovated with great shower and bath. We caught train to Arles and Orange and sailed on the Rhone. A fascinating destination and a very pleasant place to stay. Merci beaucoup!

"Secure and modern"
Anndi100, 10 Novembre 2014

The gated compound provides ample secure parking for a visit to Avignon or a night passing through. The rooms are modern and bright with all amenities needed. The hotel staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The restaurant serves a very good meal in bright surroundings. Make sure you have good directions for the last 700 m. from the roundabout beforehand.

"Fab staff and fab hotel"

Party of 4 adults stayed for 'special' wedding anniversary. Weather beautiful except for freak storm (heavy rain, thunder, lightning, hail) one evening which wiped out swimming pool for next 3 days. Hotel very comfortable and exceptionally high level of customer service from staff - thank you. Limited dinner menu of 3 starters, mains and desserts which apart from one daily special of each didn't change. Hotel on no. 2 bus route so easy and cheap (E1.30 which can last for 1 hour on multiple buses) to get into town but beware last bus back in evenings Mon-Thurs 21.20. Taxis congregate at TGV station rather than Gare Central and they didn't answer phone! Breakfast (continental) at hotel E14 - we found a lovely café in town that did coffee and pastry for around E5. But overall a fantastic hotel and if we were to visit Avignon in the future we'd definitely stay again.

"Very nice hotel i quiet neighbourhood"

Very nice hotel in the quiet neighbourhood, away from the city noise. Comfortable beds, rooms on a small side but adequate. Free WiFi, very helpful staff. Leave your car and take bus to the old city of Avignon. Relax in a quiet garden by the pool after sightseeing.

The hotel is an oasis in the middle of a strange and slightly hostile area of Avignon. It has lovely gardens and swimming pool, good friendly & helpful staff. The dinner is overpriced and poor quality

"A great find in Provence!"

This is a gem of a hotel on the outskirts of Avignon. Amazing service - we were welcomed like long lost friends- and a fantastic room with a big balcony. Perfect! We had breakast and dinner at the hotel. The food is really excellent and far exceeded our expectations. We booked an exective room and weren't disappointed.

"BEAUTIFUL HIP HOTEL AT VERY AFFORDABLE PRICE"

everything was good except there was no elevator. if you have a heavy bag, you will end up growing up some muscles. it is a little hike from the hotel to the old city but is still walkable, through a less desirable neighborhood.
