Hotels in Hautes-Alpes

This was a distinctly average experience. The room was very disappointing with the 'bath' room only able to hold a shower and handbasin and the separate toilet was too small to allow it to be used comfortably. Breakfast was fine but when we had dinner on the second night of our stay the food was tepid at best and they forgot the wine - it was brought when we reminded them - and service was so slow we left without waiting for dessert or coffee. We ate elsewhere on the first night but when we asked reception to get us a taxi to the restaurant the person on duty didn't know how to do it and needed to contact a colleague - we ended up trying to contact a taxi ourselves but failed and opted to walk which was okay for us but it was about 1km uphill so not everyone would have been able to do it.

Check in was messy. Four members of staff required to check us in. Had booked a superior double and the hotel photos suggested there would be large windows. We actually got an attic room - see photo - and when I questioned this I was told “well all the rooms are different”. Bed sheet didn't fit bed and also had a hole in it. No extractor fan in the bathroom. Hotel is half way between lake and old town. There is a shuttle bus but not on a Sunday. Hotel restaurant is also closed on a Sunday which seems a bit short sighted. Had to book a one hour slot to use the spa. There's a pool inside and small sauna/hot tub outside. Steam room doesn't work anymore. On checkout they tried to charge for breakfasts despite us not having any given we booked room only. Not a brilliant experience but they have little competition so they can get away with the poor service.

Wonderfull place to go. The BW La Robeyere is an old "Logis de France" (meaning in the past was in the best hostellerie servicing). Today the hotel still very attractive, rooms are beautiful, the restaurant nice (visit in summer is the best for a romantic diner as well on the terrace. People working there are also part of that superbe experience.

Excellent location and facilities, we used the swimming pool and outdoors hot tub after a long day on the bikes. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. All staff was welcoming. The restaurant serves very good food in a lovely setting.

Wonderful and luxurious mountain estate with cosy rooms in country home style, each with a splendid mountain view. Spa facilities to relax after your hike or mountainbike tour. Perfect base for a romantic and sporty (Indian summer) getaway!

The hotel itself is very nicely restored and the rooms are just amazing, All staff very service minded and always in a good mood. It has a spa area with a perfect view to the surroundings. The hotel is located in the hill with a very nice view of the surrondings. Breakfast was excellent and the coffee was very good. One of the better hotel experiences in quite some time

We booked last minute this hotel on our way back home. Big plus the family room and be booked for four adults and has two single bed with ensuite and a double double with ensuite. You door all over to close the room so ideal for our group. The spa is quaint and small and can be pre-booked for 1h, which we appreciated so it was not over crowed, very good move done by the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lake is just a short drive away and parking is free at the hotel. The historical town center is less then 10 minutes walk from the hotel or again just a short drive. It was very hot when we arrived and we appreciated A/C in the room but then temperature drop at night. A little gem for a stop both the hotel and Embrun, small cute village with plenty of shops, bars and restaurant. Would love to go back.

Great hotel with wonderful service. We loved it. Big plus for the spa and the dog friendliness. We stayed in one of the rooms with patio and had a nice relaxation opportunity in our own small garden. Very convenient when travelling with a dog.

The staff is wonderful. The dining room is excellent. The Breakfast is excellent. Check was fast and easy and you are shown to your room. Even though we extended our stay and had other charges check out took less than 3 minutes. If you are looking for a wonderful experience in Embrun look no further. A few minutes walk to town and just a little longer to the extensive and impressive beach area.

Gorgeous view, lovely food (fresh,local,organic), tastefully decorated rooms and especially AMAZING staff. So kind,very personal service. Location is super, right in the middle between Embrun center and the plan d'eau
