We stayed here with my hubby for two nights to attend a big concert in Stockholm. The location was great, only one block away from the metro (Tunnelbana) and three blocks away from the train station. The breakfast was included in the price, and it was good & varied, there were even warm dishes available. The hotel was very clean, the bed was comfy and the air condition worked well. The only thing missing in the room was a window. The room was also very small. However, were there to see the concert, not the view, so so no complaints about that. There were many restaurants, fast food places and a grocery store near the hotel. I recommend this hotel for a budget conscious traveller, who doesn't wish to pay any extra for the hotel but likes a clean room with a good bed and a good air con with good location.
The place where you will sleep in the cave, without windows and not even a cupboard to stow your belongings, all in a super tiny room. The receptionist is unfriendly and even lies, pretending that I ordered a room without windows. I will definitely not come back …
Our friend group of 6 took 3 rooms in this hotel after seeing the reviews and amenities, but to our dismay, this hotel room was like a jail bunker. These rooms had the right amount of beds but that was where the description ended. The rooms were not filthy but they weren't clean either. They stank, had a mildew type of smell and there were stains all over the floor and some of the bed coverings. This hotel is in desperate need of repair. The bathroom is so small -you can't imagine. And reaching your room from reception is like a moving in zig zag jungle.. We tried to make a joke of it with our friends and it was almost comical to the disarray in the room:- we realized how spoilt we were when we couldn't verbalize our comments. It was a super busy night in Stockholm. The cups hadn't been cleaned and no fridge in the room and an electric Kettle kept in the drawer and you had to fix it on the very tiny table. There was no Almira to keep your clothes and belongings. This is a really low star/condition place and super noisy. To top it off, our neighbours were having a brawl which resulted in no sleep at all. Not our favorite hotel by any means: so would urge anyone to take care. If it was super good by any means then what is the definition of good -Let Best Westen management decide themselves.
Stayed here as a family for four days. We had to book two rooms, because the rooms were so small and yet it was quite expensive. And when we arrived, the rooms were even smaller than expected. It was difficult to relax, find place for your things and sleeping quality could also have been better, as they only had queen size beds. The good things were the breakfast buffet and the location.
Great value for money. The hotel is located in the lively area of Vasastan with everything close by: various restaurants, pubs and shops, COOP, SATS. Buses and Tunnelbana (subway) are right there. The restaurant itself (Burgers&Beers) offers the best burgers in the city - and I am saying this as a 'Stockholmare' / someone who knows Stockholm well.
It's a great hotel, has a restaurant not far from the metro, hard rock cafe. Staff were great especially the night man. Hotel is not in the centre of Stockholm but is cheaper and transport is good. My room was underground but was very clean and functional for a 2 day stay.
We caution travelers who may suffer from claustrophobia to stay away from this hotel. Two floors are underground and have no windows. Also many of the rooms are so small as to be cell-like. More appropriate for travels with little or no luggage.
The room was very small, as was the bathroom, but super clean and the shower was fantastic. Good breakfast, warm welcome, fun bar and sort of restaurant. Very quiet room (306). Note the walk from Central Station is around 15 minutes, and on the way are lots of fun bars and restaurants that you do not find in the centre. Great location all round, 2 metro stops from centre, take 17, 18 or 19 to Flanby Strand (or something like that)
A fantastic hotel and handy to the centre of Stockholm. I booked a room with no window and the guy at the desk upgraded me to a bigger room. I did find it weird that there was a ‘fake' window and wardrobe in the room, but apart from that it was a clean and comfortable stay. The breakfast was brilliant, self-service and a good range of food. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Stockholm.
We stayed here for my birthday for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was tiny but felt cozy especially in the cold. Having a window definitely helped and I loved the view. The room was right next to the breakfast room aswell which was handy. The wifi reached every part of the hotel and is free to use. The breakfast was nice, however I would've liked more hot food choice. The staff were so friendly and happy. Always said hi, good morning etc. The restaurant on-site was amazing too, ate here once and the burger was stunning. I'd definitely return here again
Reception was friendly and quick and easy when we arrived. First impressions of the room were not good, the room was like an upmarket prison cell! No window (looking back on my booking, this is stated and just something I didn't notice at the time of booking, I've never stayed in a windowless hotel room anywhere in the world), tiny room with extremely limited storage ( some underbed storage and a safe there too, a couple of hangers but no closet). The bathroom was pretty ok, excellent shower but again very little space for storing toiletries - even a shelf would've been nice. It certainly isn't a room that'd entice you to do anything other than sleep there, thankfully that's all we needed it for. We went out early and returned late. Sleep quality was good, the room was very quiet but very hard to gauge the time if you wake up during the night. I had a flick through the TV in the morning and there are a lot of English shows and BBC News. Location wise there are a number of bars and restaurants in the vicinity but we had an early return flight and found that the metro service to the central train station didn't start until 05:00 (our train was to the airport was 04:20), it's about a 1.7km walk to the station. I think if I was returning to Stockholm I'd either stay in the old town or closer to the central station.
I would highly recommend staying at BW 108 as it was 2-min walk from Radmangstan so wasn't hard to find the hotel. Pricing was excellent as Stockholm is expensive! The photos on the internet did not do justice because of the Mcdonalds across the road, but when I arrived it was so good I forgot about it and everything was the opposite on the websites. POSITIVES: Great bed, towels changed daily, housekeeping daily, compact and has everything you need for an amazing and relaxing stay. Amazing customer service, they are all young but experienced and they do not whinge and can handle even the most difficult customer as they are calm. Love the 2-min walk to two metros, hotel so easy to find, so many places to eat, both restaurant quality and take away kind of food truck on sidewalk,. Great find Thai food!!! Great shower pressure, rain shower, daily housekeeping, breakfast with diff choices, even had pancakes with cream, walking distance to Sturehof, Gamla Stan and Central Station (without lugging your big bag of course). You could walk everywhere as Stockholm city is not that big. Just one tiny negative: rooms are a tad small but I expected this from Europe. I expressed my disappointment but I was looked after by the young team and ensured my stay was memorable and enjoyable. Also make sure you ask for a big window. he Swedish people are all super helpful, speak english, calm and genuine. I would stay here again on my next visit. T
I'm giving it a 4/5 just because i got a good deal on extending my stay last minute, thanks to Anton. Some staff members can be unfriendly and lack courtesy. What's the deal with re-using same towels and not getting fresh ones?! The breakfast buffet could be diversified rather than repeated menu everyday. Very good location with plenty of bars/restaurants around, convenience stores, access to metro and walking distance to all museums and touristic spots.
We stayed at Best Western Hotel at 108 from the 27th till the 30th of June, 2022. The hotel is located close to the metro station Rådmansgatan. We got a room with a small window on -1 floor. We had to go down the stairs, which again we were prepared for. The room small but it has all necessities. Located under the bed is a small safe for valuables (you can fit there even a 15” laptop). There is one more cabinet with tea and coffee. The bed is set in a corner, one person has to alway go over the other. The small window provided little light and it has also darkening curtains, which we preferred. As during summer the sun goes down at 10pm and if you are tired after a whole day of exploring to get back to a dark room and have a good night sleep it great. Note, the mattress is quite soft. We had breakfast included and it was great. You could get what you wanted and the selection was enough. The coffee is only instant so better get one outside.
The rooms are small bordering on tiny but have the essentials. It's very clean, and the interior has a good modern look but it does not come with a fridge nor AC (lots of hotels in Sweden do not have AC) so just a FYI if you care about that. Staff is great! The room we stayed in was in general cool but we would've loved a fan. Now the real winner is the price and location. Way under standard rates in Stockholm while being close to centralstation, 2 subway stops and have all the restaurants etc you need nearby. Also 2 out of 4 floors are underground (no windows), which also is not uncommon at hotels in older buildings. I don't really mind but a heads up if you do!
Great location, a lot of dining options in the area, grocery store nearby, helpful staff, good breakfast but rooms are tiny. It's understandable because it's in the older part of the city, but still, at $250 a night a little bit more space will be nice.
Nice hotel located opposite the library on a main street. Supermarkets and fast food can be reached on foot. For a families which are not a big fans of IKEA style it may be difficult in such a small apartments. We needed an apartment with a kitchenette for a family trip and to prepare food for small child. The kitchen room is equipped, but very small, and without a dishwasher. When you're opening a sofa bed (by the way, it's very noisy), which is in the same room with a kitchenette, it will be impossible to do anything else in the kitchen. Also, windows were old and therefore not hermetically sealed. The hotel people were nice. Good breakfast.
There is a lot to like about this hotel . It has a new and modern vibe, it's clean, with a great location 25 minute walk from Gamla Stan. The breakfast is very generous as well. My caution would be aware that many of these rooms are extremely small. It was barely big enough for one person. It's perfect if you are a solo traveler and won't be spending much time in the room. If there are more than one persons be aware of the room size when booking. I will also say the front desk was extremely helpful particularly the young lady. I had to check out two days early and she went out of her way to help me get refunded for the two nights I did not use. That pushes this to a 4 star.
Good place to stay in Stockholm. An underground station is 100 m near, so getting to city center is easy. Suitable for wheelchair persons. Absolutely professional and kind stuff. Good breakfast. Liked my stay here.
I am frequent business traveler and visit Stockholm often and I choose this hotel because of short stay in Stockholm and meetings around Sveavägen and with my experience with Best Western Hotel at 108 its the worst customer service experience by the receptionist Martin. No matter if you are new or not its important to treat your customers good and always remember customers don't buy products or services. They buy good feelings and solutions to problems. I traveled from Dubai to Stockholm with the shock I was offered a room in the basement without a window even tho the whole hotel is empty due to covid-19. As per booking the single room has tea/coffee maker and electric kettle and offers Gluten free breakfast but no trace of anything Gluten free. I asked kindly several times if possible get a room with window and the reply was No, I have booked a single room without window and upgrade was not possible. The Hospitality Industry suffered greatly during the Covid-19 pandemic and still some hotels like Best Western Hotel at 108 in Stockholm, Sweden so ungrateful and treating their customers bad. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone in my network no matter of how good the location is.
I had to book a room in this hotel. Unfortunately the booking was canceled due to the closure of the hotel. The hotel staff contacted me in the name of martin sock who is extremely responsive and willing to help. Martin quickly helped me find and book a great room in another hotel for the same price. Unfortunately, I did not manage to meet with Martin personally, but I am sure he is a good and responsible worker.
Guys ,Best Western Hotels are great .Price and quality is excellent . Staff is very good, they always ready to help u with advise or with some thing else. Breakfast always in time and very tasty. They have very good coffee machine and fresh juices
Stayed at thot hotel as late as this past weekend, our original booking at another property got cancelled, so we had to find something else. As this was close to our original location and in the same price range it was an easy pick. Turned out to be a very pleasant surprise, newly open, calm, clean, great location and good value! Would go back in a hart beat!
