Self service in very small reception but there's someone there to help. Bar area nice and functional near the reception but very small. Knew I was booking a room in the basement with no windows but it's decked out very much like a prison down there. Room small and functional, shower pretty good. Breakfast included but left too early to get any.
Good Hotel. Rates are good. Located in centre of the city. Walkable to tourists places. Walkable to any kind of restaurants especially Indian. Nice breakfast. Near to Stockholm central railway station. Rooms are very compact but clean. Kind and supportive staffs.
A fantastic hotel all round. I was visiting family so I spent most of my time out during the day. I had a double bed with single occupancy and the room was actually much bigger than I thought it would be. Compact but highly functional with everything you need, The room was really quiet. Staff were all super friendly and the breakfast was totally amazing. Would highly recommend
It was ok. The breakfast was nice but the rooms were terrible. I had a single room with no windows. It was very hot even with the temperature all the way down. It was so stuffy, no fresh air especially after a shower. It was dark and felt like I was sleeping in a closet. The location was great but I wouldn't recommend this place.
We highly recommend this hotel to others! The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! It was the best of our experience in four hotels in three countries. There was a large variety of fresh, tasty food and drinks. It truly was an extraordinary breakfast experience. The location of the hotel was ideal for us. It was only about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Restaurants and shopping were close by. It felt like a safe neighborhood. The room was compact, but it was also high-tech in comparison to the three other hotels we stayed at. It had a good amount of light and outlets. The shower was comfortable with two kinds of showerheads to use. The automated shades for darkening the room was ideal and the bed was very comfortable. It was helpful to have various hooks and bars and hangers for hanging clothes. The staff was always friendly and attentive. The gal with long blonde hair, who worked in the morning, was especially knowledgeable and very accommodating. It was a wonderful way to finish our 13 days in Scandinavia!
NOTE: This is a review of the Family room, which was spacious and we recommend it. The regular rooms are TINY. :) We stayed here twice. Once before our Helsinki ferry and then again after. They allowed us to leave our luggage there that we didn't need for the Helsinki portion of our trip and the staff was very helpful, welcoming and kind. Our stay was excellent. The family room was large and spacious. The rooms are hot (as noted in other reviews), but the bathroom window opens, so we were able to get air into the room. My parents stayed in the double room and it was very small and stuffy. The design was nice and clean/modern, but not dark. The big windows with black out blinds were great. The cleanliness was a little spotty because when we checked under the sofa bed for a dropped toy, there was lots of dust and under our other family room (sister's room), there was an old soda bottle. :) Breakfast was really good, fresh ingredients and overall well stocked. They also allowed you to eat in the bar/restaurant area and in the lounge in case the breakfast restaurant was full. Since we stayed 5 nights though, we were tired of the food because they didn't change it. Everything was the same every day. The milk was always needing to be replenished too. :) There's free coffee in the bar area during the afternoon and a water station, which was great. The Lounge and terrace were beautiful and great place for families to hang out, so you don't have to all gather in the room. It was cozy and very well designed. The terrace we didn't hang out in because it was cold, but it was still nice! Location is excellent. It was just a 10-15 min walk from the Arlanda Express through the main strip of shops, so it was easy to get to. It is sitting midway up a hill though, so just beware if you have heavy bags, but overall it's easy to access. The area around is walkable to "everything" and we loved the location. Lots of shopping and food. We would recommend this place and definitely would book the family room again.
I am in the hotel now that it's written that you have air conditioning and they offered me to open the window and a fan? This is unacceptable! The least you can you do is give my money back! Thai is so wrong to the customer. There's no air conditioning in the room. It's a sauna in here! This is only the first night and we booked this hotel because it's says air conditioning. I'm so disappointed with this hotel.
The rooms are extremely small but well thought-out and functional. The price is a bit high, but reasonable by Stockholm standards. Breakfast is very good but do plan to arrive early as seating space is limited. A metro station is half-block away and the hotel is well-situated.
If you prefer being in Stockholm City and having a superb breakfast buffé, and service minded staff - this is it. Nice beds and pillows. Our room unfortunately had "thin walls" and we heard the neighbours talkning...
And has relatively small rooms but if you look at their description this is clearly stated. The hotel is extremely well located in the centre of Stockholm. The rooms are well equipped coffee, tea and with ironing possibilities. Fantastic breakfast and big, nice lounge, and a gym. Really a hotel where you feel at home with the wonderful staff.
The room I stayed in had no windows. OK for one night, but slightly odd. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine with a wide selection of food. Good place for few nights stay. Bathroom quite small but fulfills it's purpose.
Hotel is always good, nice small and very clean rooms. Stuff is very helpful, good breakfast and nice dinner selections. Wifi connection is good, enough for phone and computer to work on. You always get the same atmosphere and always what you have expect.
Very affordable compared to other hotels I stayed at during my trip in Scandinavia, the room was clean, the tv sadly had no channels/ couldn't use it with my phone. The rooms was great! but mine didn't have a window and the lighting inside wasn't enough alone i think, so get a room with a window if you can. Overall great experience, would stay there on my next visit to Stockholm.
The staff of this hotel is friendly, respectful, and is allways prepared to help you. Nearly all the sights of Stockholm are a maximum of fifteen minutes' walk away. Minuses: it's hard to get a good air quality and tempature in your room, and there is not enough place for everyone who wants to have a breakfast. But overall: a good value for money
Lovely experience at this hotel. Room was larger than expected and it was cleaned and vacuumed every day. Breakfast was delicious and diverse. Great location and personnel was nice, engaged and present.
Our experience at the Best Western and Hotel in Stockholm was very mixed. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, breakfast is great, food in the bar/restaurant is also good and the staff are friendly and helpful. On the other hand, when we first entered the room, the safe was dirty and didn't work, there was a bit of hair in the bathroom and we were shocked and disappointed by the size of our double room, the likes of which we've only seen in Hong Kong. The room was essentially a bed with access from one side, a short corridor and a bathroom. Had the hotel posted room size in sq. m. or a more appropriate photo, we would have reserved a larger room or stayed elsewhere. (A larger room only became available closer to departure; we were grateful for vouchers offered as compensation.) The location is okay and we enjoyed Stockholm.
Great location: A lot of sights can be reaches by foot. Great breakfast: Everything that is need was provided and delicious. Rather expensive: 200€ a night for a small room with breakfast. Very little rooms: 12 square meters is ok for 1 person but too small for two.
I love this place, great lounge to chill, work or have a drink. The rooms are perfectly quiet, you won't hear any noise from any cars. Would highly recommend this place. The rooms without window are probably the quietest in town.
We stayed in Stockholm for 3 nights, and choosing Best Western & Hotel was a great deal. The hotel has several room types to choose from but the only available ones were the small ones. Can't say this would be my first option, as I like large rooms, but it was comfy enough to get some rest at the end of the day. The breakfast was very rich and tasty. Great staff also! The hotel position was central and most of our trips were walking trips. The lobby and bar had a cozy atmosphere, making a great place to grab a drink and relax. Overall it was a great experience. Hotel position: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Breakfast: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lobby & bar: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Staff: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The hotel location is very central. The rooms are clean and practical. The food is delicious. The staff is very welcoming. It's a cash free hotel with a very modernized interior design. Very highly recommended.
10 mins walk (slightly uphill with luggage) from the central railway station, this modern hotel is a good base to explore the city by foot. As other reviews mention, the room is on the small side (akin to Tokyo) but functional and clean. The double bed was only accessible from one side. The bathroom was large for the room by comparison. Breakfast was good and served until 11am (very busy if you are there mid morning at weekends). Sone great restaurants of all cuisines within 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
First of all the location of this hotel is really good. walkable distance to most of the tourist places and also from the Stockholm central station. we walked from central station and easy to get the metro from the hotel. Breakfast was good! overall it was worth an experience from location, food and stay.
Best Western and Hotel is in Stockholm city center, close to metro station Hötorget on the green line, just one stop from Stockholm Central Railway station, where the train and bus from/to Stockholm Airport Arlanda arrive/depart. I had a very good room on the 7th floor (actually it's the second floor, since there are floors below ground, too). The room was quite small, and so was the bathroom, but this was OK, it just made the stay cozier. The room was perfectly insulated from outside noise, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked well. Breakfast was very good, with enough choices available. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
I stayed 3 nights on a solo weekend, in single small room with windows on the 9th floor. The room was bigger / better organised that I expected from the pictures. For one person is perfectly fine, even with luggage. The room is a bit noisy: you can hear noise from other rooms and the corridor, the conditioning is also noisy. Moreover, the room was a bit cold and I couldn't make the heating working more (maybe it's related to energy savings?). However, the duvet is so warm, the night was super comfortable. Mattress and pillows were good. The location of the hotel is very handy: 10 minutes walking from the train station, 2 minutes walking from the metro station, 5 minutes walking from the shopping area and 15/20 minutes from the old city and other places of interest. Breakfast is rich, even if sweet options are limited.
I have no complaints about the hotel except the size of the rooms for that price. A simple drink like a coke was so overpriced. If you want to stay in downtown and not so fussy about the size of the room then it's just perfect.
The good things: location, walking distance from center town, old and new, near public transportation. Breakfast is excellent, including local products. The lobby is nicely decorated. Less good: the rooms are very small, maybe 10-12sq m. Little place to stay. Our room was without a window and without air really. The bath was extremely small and not in good shape. I guess it is all in the price.
Smart Scandi room design, variety of foods to choose for breakfast, always clean tables at breakfast, self service check in-check out, comfy mattress, 4 elevators, overall it is a very good value for money hotel
I really enjoyed my stay here, there was a bit of a miscommunication when checking in as I paid online through booking.com, and they hadn't received my payment, even though I showed them the confirmation, however they let me go up to the room and told me to come sort it out the next day as they'd speak to head office, turns out 2 bookings were made in my name accidentally, and they were looking at the wrong one. The room was small but really nice, the bathroom was insanely nice, couldn't get over how amazing the mirror was. The breakfast was fab, I used the sauna in the gym downstairs which was great too. Ideal location as it was walking distance from everything, and the staff were all friendly and really nice.
The location so good, but the rooms are very small and the beds could be better. Breakfast is average, but lack everything that James breakfast something extra. They didn't clean the room although I stayed there for 3 days.
Never never never. the hotel looks nice from the outside, but then you discover that half of the building is underground and without windows. The ventilation of the rooms is very bad and above all they are cold and humid. To avoid absolutely!!!
The Best Western & hotel is very conveniently located. Short walk to central train station and old town. Lits of restaurants and shopping nearby. Rooms are typical European...a little small. They are very clean and have lots of amenities. Breakfast is outstanding. Lots of tables to eat at. Will certainly be back!
The photos published on the homepage must come from another hotel. The standard room offered (without this being made sufficiently clear) is on the second basement floor without windows. This is not a hotel room, but a cellar compartment. Even an "update" to a regular hotel room does not add any value to a hotel. My room was substandard, even with a window. The staff here are uncooperative, unfriendly and unhelpful. Breakfast is sparse, service lousy. I was never happier than the moment I checked out of this hotel.
Great location that allows you to walk to every touristic attraction! Also very close to the subway. Even though the room is pretty small it's functional and very clean. Adequate temperature. Kind and welcoming personnel.
I visited this hotel in 2019 and I recalled the great experience I had, so I chose to stay at it again in 2021. The location is great (2min walking distance from the subway) and 5 min walking distance from the main pedestrian street. The hotel is very cozy and clean, overall lovely. The breakfast is fantastic, a wide variety of food is offered.
We were a couple who stayed there for three nights. With the rooms being small and both of us working remotely, we were concerned there wouldn't be enough space for us to work. Little did we know about the amazing lobby with plenty of work and meeting space! The location is in the absolute heart of Stockholm, close to everything you need. The self check-in and out made everything really easy and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The best part about this hotel though, is the breakfast and lunch! Make sure to get up in time, because it is not something you'd want to miss! We'll definitely be back soon!
As soon as I walked in, I got a sense of grounding and calmness. The cozy lighting and casual atmosphere of the lounge immediately set the tone. Although I live in Stockholm, my night at this hotel felt like a vacation already. The bed we had was a lofted large bed with many cozy pillows and a dark screen you could move up and down for privacy. The tv sat in the alcove of the bed for easy viewing pleasure. But the final cherry on top was the breakfast spread in the morning. Eggs, pancakes, fruit, smoothies, juices, it was all extravagantly arranged and made me want to stay longer just to try everything at breakfast. Cozy atmosphere, extremely comfortable bed, and perfect breakfast. 10/10
This hotel is down a quiet side street but very close to all the action and a 5 minute walk to the waterfront. The breakfast was excellent and the dining room was really nice. I booked a single bed room but when I arrived I was told I had been upgraded to a double. It was a small room but suited me perfectly. The bed was very comfy. The shower was a bit odd in that the glass was see through and anybody else in the room could see you in the shower but as I was on my own it didn't matter. I did have trouble with the lights. Firstly when I put my keycard in the slot, the slot broke, then there was one set of lights I couldnt find the off switch for, so I had to take out the key card for some darkness at night. The only other weird thing was that although I hung the do not disturb sign on the outside of the bedroom door the maid still walked in and found me with my boxer shorts round my ankles!
Excellent staff beautiful meal.bedroom first class. Great nights sleep. Cant fault it. Highly recommend the service and locality to train station and town centre. Iron ironing board and tv in room Lift to all floors
I really liked the location and the value for money that you get there . The breakfast was really acceptable and i liked the room so much and the shower is really remarkable . You get what you pay for and way more for this to be honest
Hidden on a side street, very central hotel Room rather small but actually never felt cramped. Clean and professional. Good breakfast. Bar and restaurant on the premises. T-bana station Hötorget a few steps away, central station 10-15 minutes walk away. Will stay again if the price is right!
Very friendly staff and a warm and cosy hotel. Situated in the centre of the city of Stockholm. Nice restaurants around. Free wifi available. The hotel has a bar, lounge, restaurant. The breakfast is very rich with lot of healthy stuff.
Lovely location, really central. Rooms are compact but surprisingly bigger than what I anticipated. Good for a few days, not for weeks etc. Breakfast was lovely and even the takeaway breakfast was good.
Really nice room, the staff was amazing Farah and Franciska are high skilled professionals. I'm very happy with the experience of my stay at the hotel. The was perfect to me near by Vauxhall station zone 2 very close to central.
Breakfast was standard quality although service was fast, whilst we went to breakfast our room was left open from the maids( by a laundry bag) and was unattended with no staff on the corridors, after we complained about the room being left open with our belongings still inside it was then left open again by one of the staff. Wouldn't recommend to stay here. Most staff are polite but higher management come across a rude. Very upset with our stay and will not be staying again. Wouldn't recommend
Temperature in the rooms is surprisingly cold many time I have stayed at the hotel. Other than that, small but cozy, in the way, rooms are just enough for couple night sleep if you are travelling alone or as a couple. Location is right in the city center , next to metro station and shops - perfect! It happened to be not as good room cleanliness as I would expect BW chain hotels to be, but definitely not bad.
Location is great. Room very very small, bathroom is tiny no space to put toilet bag. Found bed uncomfortable / uneven mattress. Only one chair in room and no table, as room is small I think a folding table would be great.
We stayed at Best Western and hotel for 4 nights in January (one adult and 3 children). We had a very pleasant stay - our family room was huge, staff was very friendly (quick check in and out) and breakfast was varied and delicious. The location is really good, super close to lots of shops and restaurants as well as the metro station and only a 12-minute walk from the train station. The cleaning could be improved: there we lots of dust bunnies on the floor, a couple of towels weren't very clean and one day the bathroom window was left open (and it's 1C outside). But this didn't take away from our positive experience, we would definitely stay there again :)
This hotel was a great option for a weekend in Stockholm. The staff are cheerful and helpful. The rooms are cozy, stylish, and clean. The price was fair and included a high quality breakfast. Walking distance to many locations within central Stockholm.
Warning! Don't stay here. The cleaning staff forgot to close my door after cleaning. When I came back it was wide open. When I called front desk they didn't care much. With a sleepy voice they said ”ok” and hung up.
It's Centrally Located,You can walk to all attractions. I have traveled all Europe but I got Best Shower here. Breakfast also great with avocado salad and Ginger, lemon shot. From airport take arlanda express, ask for return ticket, if you're couple, you will get Deal! You have to walk one km to reach hotel and last 150 meters on slope! Cardio!
We spent two nights in this awesome hotel. 100% loved everything about it. Room was well laid out, loved the bathroom pod - everything was super modern, big window, warm and cosy. Couldn't have asked for anything better for a few cold days in Stockholm. We walked everywhere - great location. Breakfast included was a bonus and had really great variety.
We brought our teenage daughters with us to Stockholm for the lights at Christmas and for a retail “Safari” The hotel is perfectly situated on a quiet side street near Hötorget. The rooms we had were cozy, if a bit small. The bathrooms are very cool and modern. Overall the rooms are a good standard. The breakfast buffet was terrific! Very extensive selections both Swedish and English cuisine. Despite so many guests during the weekend the staff handled things beautifully We enjoyed both the bar and the guest lounge. The bartender was courteous and was creative making non-alcoholic drinks for our daughters. Thank you to the entire staff for making us feel at home and taking care of us during our stay!
The only thing, which is mentioned in the web page, is that rooms are small, but as the web page says, you only need the room for sleeping (but rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped). Hotel is overall very comfortable, near Underground station, and easy to reach from the centre. Thumbs up!
We stayed at this hotel on the 6th of December and I had my medication on the side where it should it be safe in my hotel room and I came back from day out with friends and they were gone the cleaner or how ever had cleaned my room had stolen them from my room went to reception for them to stay they can't do anything about it they were prescribed medication and had to go with out my meds for 2 days just be very careful but apart from that it was a really nice hotel very clean rooms lovely just watch out for the showers they will burn a child if they init they get very hot very quickly staff were okay too
Wonderful hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable, modern rooms (spacious for Europe). Easy walking distance to Central Station. Good breakfast. My only issues- walking up to hotel (final partial block) was a challenge because I was lugging a large suitcase, and the tv streaming was spotty. I would highly recommend staying here.
The hotel is very nice. Small rooms, but very well planed. Restaurant has good food. Metro and bus stops are 2-3 min walk. Shops and restaurants outside hotel, lots of them. Stuff is friendly. Elevator, gym and sauna are available.
Hotel in perfect location right in Stockholm city center. Clean and cozy rooms, good breakfast. Rooms are quite small, but with excellent design and with everything you might need in them. Great service from all team!
The hotel is very central. 20 minutes away from the old town. It right on the shopping street. A 5-10 minutes walk from the airport shuttle station. The breakfast in the hotel was very rich. Lots of things to choose from. The rooms were modern and warm. There was very good wifi connection. Highly recommend this hotel.
Sheila served us well and was very accomodating .She was very welcoming, smily ,patient and understood us .she was quick to act when we encountered some few challenges here and there.Thank you so much for work well done .
A centrally located hotel that you can walk to from the train stations. Close to old town and all the shopping you could possibly want. Great restaurant and bar. Breakfast is included, but does get crowded in the mid morning. Good space in the rooms with a modern bathroom. No closet but good hangout rack on side wall with ample space. Blackout curtain for bay window electrically powered and works perfectly. Do you not think you will go wrong with this hotel we would certainly stay there again.
I would have to say I really enjoyed my stay here. All the staff were amazing and friendly. Breakfast and dinner was good, atmosphere in the bar was good. Nice area to just sit and chill and a outdoor bar area was good. Very centrally locates easy walking distance to everything. Only downside was the room had no window, air con that didn't seem to be able to manage and the bed even though it was comfy you have to climb over each other to get out of bed and it got stuffy . It reminds you of a bomb shelter..
Friendly reception, everything works, overall clean and excellent free wifi. Location is very convenient for travelers as you can reach most of Stockholm from there by walking. Massive amount of rooms but it's fine for it's star level.
The room was very small. You cannot control heating from the room and window cannot be opened. They do not accept cash and they have send me an email informing me about that one day after my arrival. Luckily I have paid my stay in advance. In fact they like to brag how positive it is that they don't accept cash but they actually offer one possibility of payment less to the visitors.
The hotel has put a lot of effort into the bar and restaurant space, which you can pop into even if not a guest. The ambience is modern but with a touch of the past. The restaurant offerings are a hidden gem - chef prepared gourmet meals, for 155-200 SEK an entree at dinner. Also a very reasonable lunch menu. Homemade and fresh, and the chef is available to answer questions and truly cares about his craft. Highly recommend for a relaxing lunch or dinner and drinks.
Clean, friendly staff, centrally located. But the rooms are too small. No closet, no extra table to put your belongings, no fridge. The bathroom is behind glass and poorly isolated, so you can see your spouse taking shower and hear when the toilet is being used. Apart from that it's a nice and very convenient hotel a few steps up a very steep road. You get a good, but not extravagant breakfast. The bread could be better. The main shopping street and a metro station is just 3 minutes walk away. Cosy and comfortable lounge area.
- very small room, only sufficient for 1 person (the width of the room is like the length of a bed) - room felt stuffy.. not sure whether the windows could be opened (in fact it looked pretty dirty, as if it hasn't been opened in awhile) - very dim hallway (no lights at lifts area), honestly this made me feel pretty uncomfortable especially being a solo traveller Positives - value for money - good breakfast spread - good location, near the train station - bed was surprisingly comfortable Overall - as a solo traveller, would prefer to stay elsewhere. This is a sleep-and-go hotel, not a hotel where you would want to spend any extra time in. I intentionally stayed out the entire day and only get back just before nightfall coz I didn't want to stay in the room
The whole experience of staying there was satisfying except one thing! When booking, I decided to pay more for a room with windows so that I can get fresh air. Surprisingly the windows in the room were locked and I had to get fresh air from either the ventilation in the toilet ! or the open door of the room !
I have stayed in the hotel for 3 nights with my daughter. The room was really small. They did not have rooms with 2 single beds. No problem but with one side at the window side we had to climb over each other to get out of bed. Nice hotel bar and great breakfast.
I had a standard room with the window for 1 week, while working in Stockholm and I am very happy with my choice. The room was small but well organized with very smart use of space. It has everything you need and I did not feel lacking space while there. Bathroom is very modern , even though small and separated only by glass walls. The hotel has very nice bar area with really good food and quite large outdoor sitting space. Breakfast was very good, however it got quite busy. Location is very central, just next to the main shopping street and walking distance to the most landmarks and to the Central Station. There is underground station around the corner and couple of supermarkets. Also and plenty of restaurants and bars around. Overall I am very happy with the hotel and would return. I am giving it 5 stars, as a single traveller, however I can see that it can be a bit uncomfortable for a couple.
Fantastic hotel, very close to central station and Gamla Stan. Didn't need to use taxis or public transport to get around. Clean, modern and stylish. Nice bar with a good selection of food. The windowless rooms were fine, especially during midsummer. Didn't feel cramped.
Room was cozy, staff are super helpful and friendly, breakfast is ok, and the Internet speed is very good. I was also allowed to check in early and I was given some extra time during check out for free.
I was in this hotel for one night on my day trip to Stockholm. Although it was a bit strange for me to stay in a room with no windows for 80 Euro, I must say that overall the hotel was very nice. The room was nicely designed, very new. The bed was very comfy and the toilet and shower very clean. The breakfast was really nice and tasty. They had a great variety of cold meats, breads, fruit, and also some hot meals like scrambled eggs, bacon or boiled eggs. The hotel is conveniently located near the city center. Around 10 minutes walk to the city center and around 15 minutes walk to the old town.
Friendly and kind staff with good knowledge of the surrounding area. You live in the middle of stockholm city and everything is close. Rooms have everything you need but they are small and that is their thing this hotel. They have a few family rooms. Great bar, restaurant has good food and the breakfast is nice.
The hotel is located in a quiet street and at a walking distance of the old city of Stockholm. Every member of the staff was kind. Check-in and check-out procedures are easy and quick. The breakfast proposed a wide variety of dishes.
The Best Western And Hotel is located in Norrmalm, the downtown of Stockholm. The tiny room faced the light shaft, but at least it had a window. The hotel is built into a hillside, and I understand the cheapest rooms don't have windows at all. But you get what you pay for, and this weirdly named hotel appears to be cheap for downtown Stockholm. The room was furnished with a big bed, a safe with charger, an extra duvet, and a tea maker all under the bed, a small desk/nightstand combo with a chair, mirror, a wall outlet with two USB chargers, suitcase rack, sprinkler, TV, and telephone. There was no closet, but a rack with hangers, which also held a hair dryer and iron and ironing board. Next to it, there was a funny wall mounted wastebasket like in a subway station. The room card is needed for power, but the outlets have power without it, so you can charge your devices. The designer bathroom had toilet, sink, and a rain shower of the sort that floods the floor with a revolving glass screen and shampoo. There was a blackout curtain in front of the window and a curtain in front of the bed to block the view of the shower stall. Wi-Fi was free and worked well. The staff was polite and helpful.
My 2 nights at Best Western and hotel was comfortable. I liked their early check-out breakfast bag option. Their service was well consistent with the price they have charged. However, the bathroom door without lock option seemed to be wired to me...
The location of the hotel is perfect - in the centre of Stockholm and close to all things (walking distance) Rooms are ok when comes to equipment etc but they are very small and if you stay more nights it is not the best experience Breakfast very nice and you really enjoy to see how breakfast can be made (Well done)
Rooms may be small but very modern and clean!! Breakfast is incredibly good and the service is nice. Location is perfect, 10 mins walk from centre/central station. Would go here again next time in Stockholm.
This hotel has 2 storeys beneath the ground. Nothing for those with claustrophobia. The rooms are very small, But on the plus side is coffee and tea amenities. The shower and toilet room is with glass walls and open on the top, therefore not too private when using the toilet.
I stayed here for my first visit to Sweden. The bathroom was my favorite part of the room. I loved the restaurant menu ( you have to try the shrimp sandwich!). The staffs were so friendly and inviting. The lounge was comfortable and the sauna was a treat after a long day of walking.
This is the first time I've been to Sweden, and I have to say that my trip in Stockholm was amazing. The hotel (Best Western And Hotel) is located in the city centre. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly from reception to the staff in the dining area. I would definitely be staying there again, when I return back next year.
Small but functional room. However very high bed with drawer underneath containing waterboiler etc. For this you need to be fit. Elderly and handicapped might find this a problem . Very good breakfast.
This may possibly be one of my favorite places I have stayed. The location is fantastic and the staff is very nice. They have a restaurant and a bar in the hotel which is great for late night drinks or food. My room was perfect for me. It was in the basement with no windows, which I thought was going to be terrible but it turns out it makes keeping light out very easy. I loved the bathroom since it was large and the shower was very nice. The bed was comfy and I really enjoyed my stay here.
First of all the hotel is in such a great area, literally in the middle of the city and right next to a metro stop. The room was clean and we loved it! However, do be warned the rooms are small (which we thought was cosy) and they have no windows if you end up underground; we didn't mind this too much though because they managed to make room room light and airy. There was a wide selection for breakfast however is only catered to a certain taste. Overall I would come back again!
Horrible hotel,it seems to be a young party hotel where the staff at lobby and director do nothing at all.Unpleasant workers, poor quality at breakfast, charging for warm bottles of waters to be picked up at lobby (not at the fridge!!!). Far away from the city centre, not easy to be found.Impossible to connect wifi for some minutes. No ammenities at all.Dangerous shower where to climb if you wanna get inside.COLD COLD COLD bedroom and the staff did not give us any heater.THE WORST hotel ever been in
This hotel is a good find in Stockholm. If you book early you get good rates for the rooms. The breakfast was good yet packed and little bit chaotic but very tasty. The rooms adequate and tidy. There is kettle in the room you can get more coffee and tea from reception if you run out. The see through bathroom makes it interesting, especially if you are sharing with a friend. I would stay in this hotel again as the location is great and it is very suitable for a city break hotel.
I loved this place, the location couldn't be better, and the service was superb. A few key details for the American traveller, the concept of this hotel is to provide hip, comfortable, superbly located accommodations at an incredible price. Real estate and space are at a crazy premium in European cities, so they got creative and made use of the subterranean space. Rooms are indeed small and many are windowless (think capsule hotel or interior cabin type space) but incredibly well appointed. USB plugs aplenty, killer WIFI, TV, coffee in room, deluxe rain or regular shower heads, iron and board, valet style wall with hangars and hooks, mini desk. (Now have a quick think about what kind of a room $60 a night is going to get you in the US) You can request and pay a small premium for your window if it's important for you. The street-level public spaces are terrific and give you all the space (and window gazing) you need. There's restaurant/breakfast room with excellent food that gets lots of lively traffic, a separate bar with great atmosphere for a cocktail, and a big "living room" area with couches, armchairs, tables aplenty to make yourself comfy or get some work done. The gym room is also very well appointed. No sad closet with one treadmill, a stationary bike, and a dirty yoga mat here, more like a mini Equinox outpost. If you have issues with small spaces, this isn't your place, so scroll on to find your perfect hotel but I had one of the best nights sleep I've had in ages in my little den. Total darkness (and control of all the lights from the bed) no street noise, great sheets, pillows, and the typical Scandinavian duvet to snuggle under. Very friendly staff, always a friendly greeting, perfect English, and a manned lobby, even though there are kiosk check-in/out stations. Super helpful with directions, closest place to buy a SIM card, restaurant recommendations, and more.
First thing, rooms are small, this is understatement, they are tiny. we had a double and seriously we took turns to get dressed and ready so we would not bother each other.... what a small rooms! never seen anything like it! literally the room was as wide as the bed, 2metres, and was hardly any space to leave your luggage or anything else there, Admittedly, it is well equipped, even iron and board but you would have to go to the corridor to use it! the bathroom is within the room separated by a glass and a curtain.. not the best,,, you hear everything , and the door kept making a clack sound all the time. I could also hear some noise from the next room. Positives, great breakfast, nice bar and lovely lounge area and of course it is in the centre. but if you feel claustrophobic in small spaces find somewhere else like I will
I was in town for a week on business two blocks away from the &hotel. It is a short walk from the Arlanda Express airport train. The Hotorget metro stop (and shops including Coop grocery store) are less than 200 m away. For me it had somewhat of Citizen M vibe - check-in kiosk, friendly staff, comfortable modern lounge, very small room with nice TV and shower. The breakfast was bountiful with many delightful option for someone like me following a keto diet. My business kept me very busy and I didn't get a chance to check out the fitness center or dining. All in all the &Hotel met my needs at a good price and I will likely stay again.
Great hotel!!! The bar is so nice! Breakfast was very good as well!! They even offer to pack it for you on the go if you are in a hurry! Was here on a business trip for 6 days and had a pleasant experience! Friday afterwork party was litt!! All star of my stay here was the Bartender/bar manager Isaac! Super friendly and hospitable!! He really takes the bar experience on another level! Kudos to the young man! Housekeeping was nice, room was tidy. Super cool bathroom! Gym was nice as well. Had some basic equipment Only reason I gave four starts was was that there were some ventilation problems occasionally.. And the biggest issue for me there was draft for me in my room at night and made me use the pillows to fortify the windows. But I made the staff aware I am certain they will take care of it! Would return again!!
This hotel is in a perfect location close to centre "Sergels torg". Great breakfast, nice bar with music. Rom is a bit small but have everything you need and was very quiet and clean. Nice food at the restaurant and good service. Small reception, but friendly service. All you need for a few days to check out the city. Will certainly use this hotel again next time in Stockholm
This weekend the Sales and Management personnel at our hotel, the Best Western Condado Palm in San Juan Puerto Rico hosted a Super Bowl Party for their guests. I am a part of a rather large group of extended stay personnel supporting the Hurricane Irma and Maria recovery effort here in Puerto Rico. Since we have arrived at the Condado Palm facility the service has been nothing short of exceptional, as is evidenced by the wonderful gathering arranged for the Super Bowl event. I wanted the Best Western corporate offices and management group to know that I have never felt so comfortable and welcomed at a hotel as I experience at the Condado Palm in Puerto Rico....I credit both the General and Sales managers for that in that they have created such a wonderfully comfortable and family oriented environment that is evidenced throughout the facility from the front desk to the service staff. I have been working disaster assignments for over thirty years now both as a FEMA manager and a subcontractor to FEMA....I have stayed in many facilities and experience many forms of customer service....however, I do not believe I have ever felt as comfortable or been as pleased with an extended stay as I have at the Condado Palm. Thank you Best Western Corporate for recognizing the managers and staff of the West Western Condado Palm for the superb work they do, for when excellence in the work place is experienced I believe management should be informed. Thank You Dale Peterson Senior Policy Advisor AECOM Recovery
I loved staying here, it's location is ideal for exploring the city by foot. We walked everywhere and it took 15/20 mins. The rooms are quite small, however, it has the best Bed I've slept on in a long time. The room is still cozy and comfortable, the breakfast was great, Good selection and really tasty food! Well recommended! :)
Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Fantastic location and an amazing breakfast. So reasonably priced for Stockholm and I really don't think you could get better value for money anywhere else in the city. The hotel was really clean and friendly staff. Room was small but that was to be expected.
A comfortable, well located and not so expensive place to stay at Stockholm.Stayed for 4 days. Good breakfast, nice bed, and an acceptable wifi. Near many spots at the city. Up to a couple of blocks from the main street and Sergels Torg. I recommend it.
I wish I could afford to stay here every time I am in Sthlm because it's an excellent hotel. There is a sauna and a gym that are seldom busy, the restaurant attached to hotel is very good a reasonably price and the staff are very nice. The front desk staff are great and accommodating to making sure you have a breakfast packed if you leave before breakfast time. The rooms are a bit odd, the bathroom is just separated from the room with a glass wall and a light sheet for privacy. Don't know i I would want to share the room with someone else like that, but for a single person it is fine. The room is very well equipped, they have mastered the Scandinavian art of making use of very little space. The room even came with a tea kettle! The lighting in the bathroom is excellent. There are no windows in the room and it was on the colder side, which is perfect for me, but maybe not for others. Not sure what parking is like, but the metro is close and so are many shops and restaurants.
I stayed at this hotel on an extended business trip for 2 weeks straight, so got a pretty good feel for the property. The pros are as follows: great location in the business district and within easy walking or couple stop subway to shopping and top attractions; nice Swedish breakfast (free) but seating is limited so go early or else it's an unpleasant mob scene; the restaurant also has pretty good food for lunch and dinner too; they have a bar and a lounge area that's cozy but gets some mixed clientele some nights depending on the guest mix; the fitness area is functional and has sauna and showers. I was a bit taken back by the guest room at first (very small) but we'll laid out (the Swedes know how to design for function) and it was very clean with good daily housekeeping. My biggest complaint was that I was in a below ground floor with no window so it was a bit claustrophobic at times. Walls are very thin and you can hear everything your neighbor is up to. After day 2, I asked to be moved to a room with a window but was told by the front desk that none were available for the next 12 days (?), kind of unbelievable. The front desk staff is mixed, they have a semi automated check in, so they are not always as customer focused compared to other places. So overall an okay stay but ask for a window room (maybe request it 2 months in advance?)
BEWARE! Don't go to this hotel. I had a room 2 stories down below the surface in a claustrophobic tiny room. Later they said there was a cancellation and I got a room with a window. But then I had to pay 200 kroner more - for a cancelled room.
Second time I came, same great professional service. Although small, the rooms are very efficiently and newly decorated. Watch out because some are underground and without windows, and that can be a issue if you suffer from certain situations. Both breakfast band dinner are good, varied and reasonably priced (compared to the Stockholm price level, which is high). Try and go feed yourself at off peak hours because it can get very crowded. The lounge is comfortable, plenty of space for informal work meetings. Dj sets organized on certain nights. Wifi is very good. Will go back if can get a good price (prices fluctuate quite a lot, be the early bird)
Great hotel for its price range. Nice and clean and great location. Good size rooms and staff very friendly and polite. Very good options for breakfast as well. Only the bar can be a bit expensive for what it offers but again the decor and mood very nice. Will definitely stay here again at next visit.
Great breakfast Great location ( you're close to a subway station and Gamla Stan is an easy walk) The underground room that a few people on here have moaned about is actually grand . It's clean comfortable and the bed and shower are great . Will definitely stay again ( trust me I can't abide serious moaners who gripe about the stupidest things - go for this hotel you won't be disappointed )
Stayed in the hotel from 5 to 7 October 2018. Not sure if the concept is fit for 2 persons per room. Friday night had dinner at the restaurant and headed to the bar for a drink. Was waiting for a colleague staying in a different hotel. I drank a gin tonic. Was perfectly sober, unlike some boys at the bar tables looking underaged drinking beer and shouting and laughing. I did not tip. When I asked for another drink a different guy to whom I didn't even speak (seemed the manager) said: "I will not serve you cause you're too drunk". This was around 10.30pm. We started an argument where the guy said unbelievable things (probably because I didnt tip) and in the end he just said "ok so what do you want then?". the treatment they gave me is just outrageous, after all I was a guest in the hotel. They refused to say their names and to give me the complaint book. In the front desk they just told me that the bar operates independently from the hotel (what??). In the end the guy seemed afraid of the proportions of all that and left 2 little girls, looking also underage (one with rainbow hair and the other with black and white hair) arguing with me, trying to justify the way I was treated. She told me: i asked you the same question twice and you didnt reply, so you're drunk; and also threathned to call the police. Again, this treatment was just outrageous. They say the bar is separate from the hotel but the waiters spend all afternoon chatting in the front desk. I was experimenting this hotel to see if it fits for my team to stay while finishing a project in Stockholm. Of course after this we choose another hotel. I filed a complaint with the Konsumentverket. I guess the hotel will soon be summon. I informed the fronk desk about this and received no word from the Management. Just sad. Never again. These kids serving people at the bar as if they were at a house party.....
Great compact hotell with great atmosphere. Comfortable beds, quiet room, nice lounge in the middle of Stockholm. Please note that the cheapest rooms are without windows. No problem för me but not everyone appreciate it.
It is located nearby the city center and shopping area, just a walkable distance. Very near to the Metro station so easy to commute. Hotel staffs are very cooperative and friendly. Great breakfast & I enjoyed the gymnasium. Rooms are decent & very neat & clean, however the Beds are too small and not very comfortable. Some rooms has absolutely no window or even a glass to see outside.
e quiet hotel near the center of stockholm, but the rooms are very small and no storage for the cloth. Breakfast ist very good and in a nice ambience. The bathroom is inclouded in the bedroom and separated with glass. Very very small.
Great location which makes it perfect for a business trip Rooms are decent sized and sufficient for a person or two. Necessary amenities included. Staff was friendly Very close to the actions - bars, eateries and station. Loved it.
It was really nice place to stay in amritsar. Service was very good. We reached late night around 11:45 PM. They served us dinner too. Really a supportive staff. SATINDER JI FROM RECEPTION IS REALLY A GEM. NIce person helped us alot. Overall 5 star to this hotel.
Hotel is perfectly situated, near metro and bus stations, shops and restaurants. Hotel is modern. it has nice bar and restaurant, prices are good and food is also. Stuff in the restaurant is a little bit strange, and during breakfast , but overall hotel is perfect to stay.
After a debacle overnight stay down the road at the Best Western KOM, we checked out of there and into the Best Western And Hotel. The lady in reception was warm and friendly, and checked us in in no time at all. She heard of our predicament, and gave us an upgraded room, which was nice. The room was quite spacious and had a funky glass bathroom which was nice and modern. Even had the option of two different shower heads. It has a small but functional gym. Breakfast was nice, but the dining room a bit tight for space with so many in there.Likewise a really quick and efficient check out.All the staff we met were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Upon arrival I was met with a musty smell that hits the back of your throat like old smoke a smell that has been since described by the front office director as the hotels Usual Smell. I ignored the lack of smile from the check in clerk and went straight to my room to be met by the smell of fresh paint much like the smell of gas. I turned around and requested an alternative room and invited the team to check room 714, of which they responded, yes there is a problem with the ventilation the hotel always smells like this. Embarking on my second room on the 10th floor the same smell from the lobby was also found in the room. Approaching front office again I was informed there was no leadership onsite, no one could assist. I checked out on the spot and went to the Best Western Kom around the corner. The Front Office Director is now refusing to refund me as I booked through booking.com and the money is non refundable. I paid for a hotel room of which I expected to be of a basic standard to allow me to stay. This was not met and now my money is being held to ransom for a service I did not receive.
I should feel happy to describe about the best Western ramachandra visakhapatnam. Choosen this hotel looking at the reviews and it's worth for it. One of the best hotels stayed in. The services provided are extremely good almost reaching 5 star. Starting from the checkin, room house keeping and the restaurant people are very smart helping me all the time. Visited for the first time and really impressed by the services experienced. Specially mention about manager Me. Raju yadav, prabath and Deepak at the restaurant who were everything to me during my stay.
While this hotel is no budget hotel, it was still within a reasonable price for Stockholm hotels. Location was very good - short walking distance to central station and Gamlastan. There's also a metro station right next to the hotel. Breakfast was ok, nothing to weite about. Staff was helpful. Room was tiny - Tokyo size like - but had everything we needed.
We had the cabine room and it was a very small room, just space for the bed and not for something else. The room also had no windows. The worst was the transparent door and wall to the toilet, so it was a little odd situation for a two people in the room. The rest was nice, clean and cozy. The breakfast was delicious and rich. The location was perfect to see Stockholm, very central, so everything could be done by foot. So in total it was ok.
Clean and compact with all the amenities one needs..I just wish I could have booked myself as i think we got fleeced by our travel agency. Hotel groups should perhaps start looking at ways to get corporate travel done easier and allow public sector organizations to procure much easier..sadly South African public sector procurement is stuck on the ice age still. It seems also construction work in the city happens at all hours of the day and night, which makes it difficult to sleep with an open window
The basement rooms are extremely small with very little space. Bathroom smelled of drains. The room had no windows. The room was clean and amenable. The table and chairs were barely big enough to be usable. Reminded me of a dolls house. The staff were nice and the breakfast was average. Good location for sites if you can put up with the cramped and dark slightly depressing aspect to the rooms.
If you are 2 people ask for a room upgrade. the room is to small for 2 people. the location of the hotel is ok with walking distance to everything in city center. The hot food for breakfast could have been better. room was clean and the staff was polite and efficient
Stayed here for a week in August and found it ideally located, near metro station and restaurants. It is within walking distance of the old city (an easy 30 mins walk). The room was well equipped and normal size by Stockholm standards, where hotel rooms are small. The room had no window, a first for me, but in fact did not detract from my stay. It was quiet as a result. Good buffet breakfast and good base to explore Stockholm.
The Norrmalm area, where the hotel is located, makes for easy access to all major tourist attractions by metro or bus and even on foot. The rooms are small but have everything you need. We had a cosy clean room with a window. The room included a compact bathroom with a lovely shower, blow dryer, soap, shampoo, and clean towels . The room has a comfy bed, cable TV, ironing board, a place to hang clothes (not a closet) , a safe, and drawers under the bed for storage. Also included were a kettle, coffee mugs with tea, coffee and creme. Breakfast was a good buffet of cheeses, herring, eggs, vegetables, fruit, jams, cottage cheese, blintzes, sausages, bacon, breads, and more. The concierges were helpful and pleasant. The only thing that made the experience a bit off putting was a musty smell in the room. Other than that, I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for an excellent location in the heart of Stockholm city on a budget.
It's a modern and contemporary hotel with all modern facilities. We took a deluxe room which was Ok in size and had some space to move around. Cozy room and excellent location which is very close to central station and old town area. Also the hotel staff was quite friendly.
Was on a short business trip and the hotel served the purpose. Great location, center of city, walking distance to the central station and the metro lines. Easily reachable from airport by a short ride on the Arlanda Express and a short 10 min walk. small but well designed rooms, comfortable beds, noise free. Restaurant is very good for breakfast with wide range of fresh hot and cold food. not so sure about the dinner menu which seemed limited. But then the city center is nearby with hundreds of options. staff is friendly and had no issues settling.
Staff was very friendly, good location, not far from historical center, walking distance from bus terminal where the airport buses arrive.Good breakfast, variety of choices. Room had a small kettle which was very useful. Size of the room is very compact, complete absence of the window.
After reading other reviews, we went for a Superior room. Particularly enjoyed buffet breakfast. Be aware that entrance is on quite a steep hill, otherwise good location with Metro, buses and Coop very close.
Just a minute or two from Stockholm's most popular shopping strips this hotel is in a prime location. The rooms are compact but very well appointed with most of the essentials - hair dryer, iron, ironing board, TV, safe, tea and coffee. Hint: the tea and coffee is tucked away in under-bed storage but it is there. The bathrooms and facilities are great with good water pressure, a rain and high pressure shower shampoo and soap. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of meats, hot options, cereals, fruits and pastries. Coffee was top notch, even though it was just filtered. What's it missing? A small fridge would have been ideal for keeping drinks etc cool. It also seemed my particular room had been finished a little odd as the TV was mounted on the wall at the foot of the bed which left a large gap behind the pillows at the head of the bed which could not be closed as the bed was mounted into a frame. The pillows, however were ample and plush so it did not end up causing any discomfort. Would stay again.
We stayed for more or less one week in the hotel, for a city visit of Stockholm. The hotel is very near to Gamla Stan and the most important things of the city can be reached walking from the hotel. In the neighbour of the hotel there's plenty of restaurants so you have a lot of choice. The reception was very nice. We had the room changed after one night as the first room we had, smelled very badly. The new room was made exactly as the previous one, but the conditions were better. The room was enough big for the four of us (two adults and a girl of 14 and a boy of 10). The Bed-Sofa was not really so comfortable. The WC was put, according to my opinion, a little too high from the floor. Breakfast was very rich. I can say that we have been largerly satisfied by this hotel.
I booked a room without windows and was concerned about it prior to arriving. The room was terrific! There are curtains with a strip light to make it seem like there's a window. The bed was super comfortable and I was upgraded to a double, even though I'd booked a single. If you're traveling as a couple, the double bed is easily comfortable for two. The bathroom is tight but efficiently laid out with a really good shower. The location was fine, an easy walk to the train station or to tourist sights. There were many restaurants nearby.
The best thing about the hotel is it's central location. The rooms are extremly small, but modern and clean. The bed is large and comfortable.Although we booked a city view room, there was no view at all.The breakfast was okay, but without a possibility to order an omlet or fried eggs.I will look for another hotel when we will return to Stockholm.
Some excellent features, 6 or 7 minute walk from central train station, 5 minutes into town, nice little exfras such as a gym in the basement and a courtyard outdoor relaxing/sitting/reading space. Also the breakfast is plentiful and wholesome BUT the rooms are tiny, one person it's comfortable but for two it's tight and strangely for UK people, they don't accept cash - it's card only ?
This my default hotel @ Stockholm. This hotel offers relatively moderately priced & quiet rooms at a great locations in Stockholm. In addition, they have an ok gym with Sauna and the the breakfast is great (for a 4* hotel). There's a big comfy lounge with electric outlets if you need to work from the hotel! Recommended!
Basically it is a cabin room and if you pay the money you get a window!!! Very cramped and basic probably okay for one night only but I would not personally return as it is akin to being in a cabin on an overnight ferry. The breakfast was acceptable and the bed is very comfortable.
I could never recommend this hotel, and cannot see, how anyone else could, despite their own personal experiences because it is certainly not suitable to all. How could the very elderly or disabled customers possibly get in and out of bed when one side of the bed is inaccessible as it against the wall or window ? Surely this should be stated on booking ? This was not a problem for us, but for some it would be. Also, for some, the 'boxed in' claustrophobic effect is clearly an issue - please see the number of reviewers that state that this was a problem for them. The main problems I had with this hotel was the noise and the staff. We were disturbed by smokers congregating below us in the street to have a chat and a laugh at 12am in the morning - this happened every night, but was worse on the Sat and Fri, when it went on until 1am. And then the staff - I couldn't say that they were rude - they really didn't look like they were bothered or even noticed the customers. Customers were directed, curtly, to use the self service check in by staff, who then went on about their business as if you were not there, standing in front of them. On the plus side - excellent breakfast and good location, and internal noise (ie from people in adjoining rooms) was very low.
I usually stay here when I'm in Stockholm on my own. The rooms are not spacious and the bathroom is basically a glass pod, but if you're travelling solo, it's not an issue. Very comfy bed and great breakfast, even for me (I have allergies). You do need to be careful when booking, the windowless rooms can give claustrophobics a bit of panic. Also, be prepared for a rather steep climb to the hotel. It's not far, but a person with limited mobility might struggle. I like it, it is perfect when you just need a clean, comfortable place to sleep in the city centre.
Their floor s r underground. Have never seen a hotel like this. It's like being locked up in a locker.. horrible and claustrophobic. We were booked there. We shifted to another hotel and let go of the money. As it was difficult to spend even an hour underground. They need to mention that their rooms are under ground
Cosy - pricey, but think that it was an expensive week to be in Stockholm. Food - sufficient but breakfast not laid out well as even at 6.45am I felt like a was sitting next to very one hearing lots of conversations at once. No fish selection or nuts/dried fruit to add to cereals like others. Location - fantastic electric blah shutters so no light could come in. Helped me to get to sleep quickly but the noise outside between 2.45am to 3.45am was deafining. I couldn't hear any music but definitely lots of drunknown noisy people. I could also hear the snoring of next door, but that is probably because I was awake and it was the noise outside that had woken me up first. However, rarely hear snoring at other hotels. The hotel is also on a steep hill with narrow pavements so probably not ideal for the infirm and/or elderly. Bedroom - okay size but with lots of things there that are hidden away or attached to the walls. No problem with shower/bathroom except that it is not hidden from the bed which I prefer to have it in a separate room, but that may just be me. Coffee and tea with kettle available though no decaffeinated coffee. Bed was a single which was uncomfortable as it had metal bars to one side. Duvet was long enough just narrow/thin and for someone like me who cannot lie in a bed and keep still for 8 hours it is not ideal. Gym - close to a proper gym which for a hotel is a compliment. The strange thing was for all the 1.5 hours I was there no one else appeared! Television screens, paper towels, changing rooms, cold water tap. No complaints from me. Decor - all clean. There is a lift that misses some floors which is positive for people on the higher floors and I had no problem in understanding it. Staff - pleasant and helpful.
This hotel presents itself in perfect Scandinavian style: simple, good value for the money, effective. However, I have to remark upon three things: The air conditioning was centralized, and the temperature in the room was in my opinion too cold. There was a little wheel that you could turn down, but it did not produced the desired effect, the temperature stayed the same. I asked for an additional blanket, which arrived the following night. Unfortunately, I caught a cold and went back home with a sore throat. The gym is very small for the numbers of guests (if the hotel is fully booked) and during the peak hours it gets crowded to the point that it is unpractical to move between machines. It would have been nice to have more dairy-free choices for breakfast. Well before the check-in day I was told by the staff that I would have found several items like veg-milks and yogurts upon request to the waiters, but I did find only soy milk. There was also oat milk, but the color and the texture had a doubtful consistency and I preferred to skip it (I drink it regularly, so I know how it is supposed to look). I sent an email to remind about my diet specs, but none answered.
If you are coming from the airport it is 40 minute bus ride then the subway then a half mile walk dragging your luggage! And the lady at the desk was more interested in her coworkers phone conversation then checking me in “kiosk please” if this turns out okay I will add that also
The rooms are very compact but also very efficient. Really too small for a couple. There has been a lot of talk about the bathroom being all glass and open to the room. This is not quite true. You cannot see who is in the shower and for added privacy there is a curtain. The common spaces were lovely and the outdoor patio also lovely. The location was fantastic. It was less than 5 minutes walk to several restaurants and bars. 15 minutes walk to Gamla Stan and 10 minutes or less walk to a huge pedestrian shopping area.
Enjoyed my stay. Room was excellent. For budget reasons, I choose a room without window but that was no problem, it assured me enough darkness to sleep. Sauna was basic but I liked it. Hotel was expensive but I think I come again.
Great location, however it is up a moderately steep hill (which may be a problem if you have mobility issues). Near to subway stop and buses, but also walking distance to many places. Rooms are small, but the lounge area is comfortable to sit and work if required. Reliable internet.
I am currently staying at this hotel and have been here for 2 nights with 1 more to go. I cannot rate it highly enough. The location is perfect- central and well within walking distance of the main train station and major tourist attractions. The rooms are small but perfectly formed and have everything that you need. Clean and comfortable. I have to say, that coming all the way from Sydney, Australia, I am jet lagged and need some quality sleep as I am here for work- the bed is one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever had, and I qualify that by saying I travel a lot! I am a single traveller and the room is not huge by any stretch of the imagination but more than adequate for me. The room is quirky with all sorts of imaginative storage spaces that can only cone from the innovative Swedes! I guess, however, it might be a little more challenging with 2 people. I requested a room with a window and it was not a problem. The communal spaces are modern and nice and the breakfast more than adequate. Thank-you for a very nice stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to lone travellers and I hope to return,
Spending three nights on a business trip here was a good choice. The room was clean and well equipped. I was particularly impressed by the clever shower in the otherwise very compact bathroom. Many power outlets including USB-charging outlets also impressed me as a fairly regular hotel visitor in Sweden. The breakfast is adequate with cold and hot dishes (although the hot dishes were not kept very hot one of the mornings during my stay). Check-in and -out is quick and the staff kept a low professsional profile.
Amazing location, clean rooms, Nice breakfast. They created a very cosy lounge area. Internet works very fast . 10min walk to old town, lots of shops, restaurants and bars closeby. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great staff and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delish and fresh. Walking distance to some intersting places. Fresh deli right downtairs i an attraction and healthy food. We will be back for sure in the future
The room was clean and small, but square meter smart. It even fit a small desk and an iron with ironing board. I liked the cool makeup mirror in the bathroom. Unfortunately there's no conditioner in the shower. The breakfast wasn't anything special, but what you can expect then the hotel is cheaper compare to the other ones in the neighborhood. The location is really good. I'm happy with my stay and can recommend it to people who travel for business.
We booked a tiny room without a window, but a missing window is not a big deal if you're out exploring the city for most of the day. It's a bit weird though that the bathroom is basically inside the room itself, with an almost see through glass wall. So take that into consideration as you'll be able to see your partner doing their things in the bathroom... :D otherwise the room is very well designed, clean and comfy. Breakfast is just great, very diverse and rich. Location of the hotel is also perfect. I never hang out in the lounge area of any hotel, but this one is so inviting. Very airy yet cozy at the same time, designed in a nice Swedish style. I'd definitely want to book a room in this hotel next time I'm in Stockholm.
Best small room with now window - comfortable and had everything I needed. Perfect for short stay or when you only come back to hotel to sleep after sightseeing and events. Really good choice of for breakfast.
Over the past month we had been touring Central Europe. This was the last hotel of nine. It was also the worst. By a considerable margin. You kinda know the sort of hotel you've booked when you arrive at self check-in terminals in reception. Except two are broken ('ur funktion' featured prominently across a number of devices during our stay) and a very stressed front-office staff - as it turned out THE (as in only) front office staff - is attempting to check everyone else in at the third. Now you really know the sort of hotel you've booked. THE - as in only - was a sort of recurring theme. It wasn't that the BW And was under-staffed per se, just that at any given time there seemed to be one very stressed working individual plus any number of others 'attending their place of employment'. The bar and restaurant are lively. Fortunately we had booked a larger room which turned out to be on the top floor. If you are unwise enough to book at the BW And you probably wish to avoid the lower floors - depending of course on how you feel about throbbing bass riffs. 'Larger room' is relative. I understand from other reviews there are windowless pods in the hotel which must be truly awful. Our (excessively brown) room, although perfectly reasonable in terms of square metres, managed to give a pod-like impression by dint of having to circumnavigate the bathroom to get to the bed. Half the room was given over to 'interior corridor'. Best Western does have form when it comes to 'bold design' but usually that stops at décor. This was a truly dumb use of space. Breakfast was chaotic and overcrowded. Unsurprising really. They advertise for walk-ins as well as guests. As there are no checks on room numbers and no payment facilities they probably get a lot of external patronage. One suspects the BW And differentiates itself by including breakfast in its rate - not the Stockholm norm - and, as the signs in the lift indicate, it truly is 'available' until 9:30. (But, as the signs also indicate, if you want a seat best to be there at 7:00). What else? Our safe was broken. We reported it each day. Each day THE front desk bunny (without really bothering to appear credible) promised THE engineer would fix it and, from day two on, expressed amazement that it hadn't happened yet. THE engineer, of course, is an imaginary friend - Godot will show up first. By way of a defence, THE front desk explained they were a three-star hotel (reminiscent of the Bristol City 'we're **** and we know it' supporters chant) which might elicit more sympathy if they didn't charge four-star prices. But, wait, I hear you say... it's a Best Western. Yup, no expectations of luxury. Best Western is boring, mid-range, know-what-to-expect (excepting the occasional décor atrocity), 'safe'. Except this time it wasn't. We have stayed at a number of Best Westerns over the years. This (the last) was the worst. By a considerable margin.
The rooms are very small, and the bathroom is tiny (well designed, but very small). There was continuous bass music played each night until at least 3:00 AM. We could feel it in the walls and furniture! Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The Wi-Fi worked well. I intentionally booked a room without a window, thinking a window is not worth £12 per day. I was wrong! It was impossible to tell if it was light out in the morning. Also, the clock on the TV is too bright.
I stayed for one night booked for aprox £188. Very Dry air conditioning which resulted in coughing all night with very noise environment. Very poor air conditioning. Low ceilings felt like I was in a prison. Tiny rooms with no windows! Staff was not interested in detail of the suffering and uncomfortable night. Never Again
I booked a room with no window and thought it would not be an issue. For me the room was too hot and even with the air con on the coolest setting and I found it very claustrophobic. I am not blaming the hotel as I knew what I had booked, hence my very good rating. I was a solo traveller but if you were a couple having a romantic few nights together be prepared not only is it hot in the room but the en suite is basically a glass pod in the bedroom with frosted glass. You will see as clear as day your loved one sitting on the toilet emptying their bowels! I only had breakfast and no complaints, nice selection. I would go back to the hotel but book a room with a window.
The hotel is very conveniently located (just 15 minutes by walk from Gamla Stan old town, 25 minutes from Vasa Museum/Skansen/Nordiska Museum, 10 minutes from central railway station), there are plenty of good restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast offered some nice selection and was quite tasty (although during the weekends it gets quite busy so you might consider getting up a bit earlier). The rooms were very clean albeit very small. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I´m a reccurring guest at &hotel and for a good reason. Very happy with service and hospitality, tidyness and comfort. Spend time in the bar or just chill in the hotel room. Breakfast is fresh and nice.
My friend and I stayed here for the weekend whilst in Stockholm. The room was ready as soon as we arrived which meant we could leave our bags and go to explore. The room itself was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a fairly small room however we spent our time exploring and so it was not a problem. The main issue with the room, I would say, was the shower/toilet situation; it wasn't in a separate room but rather behind a glass panel which wasn't very practical considering we were two friends sharing the room. There was not even a shower curtain available (as I had seen in the online photos). The hotel itself has a nice lounge area located near their bar which you can chill in and the hotel is in a great location with restaurants and clothing stores within walking distance. Our package deal included breakfast for the Sunday and Monday morning; and on arrival we were told breakfast would run until 11am. We arrived downstairs on the Monday to check out (I believe it was either 9am or 9.30am). We planned to eat breakfast before spending our last fews hours visiting the high street. Unfortunately, the restaurant had already removed all the food so there was absolutely nothing available and we were told that the breakfast had finished. This pretty much meant we lost 25% of our package benefits, and it seemed as though we were not the only unfortunate ones as another group of girls had also arrived in the restaurant to find the breakfast had finished.
I've traveled to Stockholm at the end of February 2018 and although I got there after midnight due to a delayed flight, they've kept my room available and ready for check in which was nice. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, the only thing I want to mention is that my room didn't have a window and it felt a bit claustrophobic, missing the natural light. Breakfast had nice choices to go for. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Additional from the great location, easy to move around with the public transportations, compact rooms, good enough breakfast buffet, gym to use I like to lift the nice ”living room” with working space with relaxing areas. AND what make me really feel welcome is the great guy in the bar (you regonice whom) that get you back to basics out from business and help you with good local information and good service. This hotel is great for business travellers
I had a four night trip to Stockholm and originally I was only scheduled to stay here for two of the four nights but I ended up cancelling my other booking and extending my stay here. I stayed in a single room without a window and I thought the lack of a window would bother me but it didn't. After being out exploring all day, I kind of liked coming back to my hobbit hole at night. If you absolutely need a window, there are single rooms with windows. :) Some people think the shower is weird. It was fine - as long as you use the plastic partition, you won't flood your bathroom. This place is clean and comfortable. The rooms are in good shape—feel new and modern, but if you're looking for a hotel that is going to cater to your every whim, this place probably isn't for you. The only downside was there was a bit of noise on Friday and Saturday nights from the bar. But only a block from the T-bana, a block from Gallerian, a great breakfast, and cheap nightly prices — can't beat that!
The location is great for central Stockholm. There is a metro stop (Hotorget) only a block away. The rooms are extremely small, but well appointed. It is impressive that they managed to fit all of these facilities into the available space. One thing to note is that the bathrooms only has a glass wall that separates it from the bedroom, which reduces privacy somewhat. The buffet breakfast was very good. Full English breakfast and some more Swedish dishes available. I personally enjoyed the liver pate and Swedish breads the most. The gym is impressive for a hotel gym. This Hotel is great for couples or business travelers.
The hotel has a great location, very centralized to everything. The check in process is computerized and amazing, so simple and streamlined. The rooms are simple and designed with a Swedish touch. The bathrooms are handicap friendly in the room and the black out shades will let you sleep in if desired.
A freschand very central hotel. In spite of this it's a very calm and quiet street, making the experience very relaxing. Nice and confy beds and a descent breakfast. The bathroom had glasswalls, which made it feel very exclusive but perpaps something to be aware of if you've just started dating someone, since it makes a lack of privacy, as it feels ??
It is fitting for a city defined by water, and situated on an archipelago that this hotel provides cruise-ship like rooms. Only better. Yes, the rooms are tiny by usual standards, but they are the model of Swedish efficiency. Be sure to book a window room (all the sites list window or windowless) if that sort of thing is important to you. I have to say that the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and that includes luxury hotels many times the price of the BW & Hotel. The duvets and pillows made it hard to get out of bed. But I'm glad I did, because the included breakfast is a treat. While there is no Eggs Benedict, there is a very wide variety of foods to please any palate. And local specialities like pickled herring are a treat! Given the cost of food in Sweden, this breakfast makes an already great deal even better. The hotel has a small but well equipped fitness room in case you don't get enough walking around from the hotel's central location in Normmalm (downtown). I also have to add the staff were incredible - helpful and pleasant. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning to see more of Stockholm with the & as my hotel!
I will start with the positives first. The hotel is nice, neat in a great location just off Kungsgatan/Sveavagen and has very nice open areas in the bar and around the reception area. The gym is also small but basic with a very nice sauna for use after exercising. The breakfast was good and included in the rate, I hit there at around 7am every day so missing the rush. There was plenty to eat and a good range of food. But the negative of having a single room with no window was kind of annoying. I obviously read some reviews here about the rooms having no windows but thought that as I was staying for four nights costing nearly 4000 Swedish kronor that maybe I'd get a room with a room. On checking in and checking the room, I went back and asked if there were rooms with windows. The guy working there said that I'd booked a room without a window. Wait! I booked on the hotel's official website, and at no point did it mention my room was windowless. At no point. If I'd known I was booking a windowless room, I wouldn't have booked it and would have stayed elsewhere. So don't say I booked knowing I was getting a room without a window. He said I could upgrade for another 300 kronor a night and get a window. Ridiculous. The hotel would have got a much better rating if it wasn't for this.
Booked four rooms here.. one double.. three singles. The singles were perfect for three teenage boys. The double was a little bit TOO small for us. Even though hotel was perfectly located etc room just a bit cosy for two. Breakfast great.
I found this hotel to be a very good value for money. Two of us stayed in one of the cheaper rooms without a window and it was a bit small. However, the room was really cleverly designed so it had plenty of luggage space and I never felt cramped. Like others have mentioned, the small bathroom was separated from the room with frosted glass so don't get this kind of room unless you're very comfortable with your companion. A few things in no particular order: My favorite part of staying in this hotel was the breakfast! It was an amazing buffet with lots of cold and hot choices. I really liked trying local breakfast items that I otherwise may not have had a chance to eat. They provided fairly minimal toiletries of soap and shampoo/body wash. You will need your own conditioner and lotion. The hotel has a large communal hangout area next to the bar that has a very cozy vibe. The hotel is some ways up a large hill. The location is fantastic with everything close by! The hotel was sort of futuristic with automated check-in and check-out process.
Nice hotel in a good location. The rooms are small, neat and efficient, but clearly for one person, i.e. business travel. Should you opt to have two in the same room, be advised that the bathrooms' walls are all glass with a hexagonal frosting. The frosting will not block any visibility into the bathroom per se, so no intimacy will be available.
Just returned from a 3 night business trip. Booked a non window small room, I was gobsmacked how amazing it was... there was little room so ideal for me but there was a place for everything! Iron and ironing board, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, storage space, hangers but not in a cupboard, plenty of lighting, great Tv, wifi, comfy bed and the best hotel bathroom I have seen... it was spotless. The hotel bar was great, the breakfast delicious and varied and ideal location. I can't fault it and will stay here next time
Hotel is in the very center of the city, with everything really close by (incl. train station with Arlanda express). Rooms are clean, well maintained and modern, but REALLY small. Literally a bed, small bathroom and minimal space to access both of them. As business traveler staying alone in double room it was ok, but might be problem for family or people planning to spend more time in the hotel.
Nice hotel in great location. Stayed 5 nights, comfortable room, easy check-in/out, great buffet breakfast. Reception, service and breakfast staff were really friendly and welcoming. Bar staff weren't as welcoming but that was a good motivator to explore other bars nearby.
Me and my wife stayed three nights at the hotel. Our first experience was check in: really fast and simple. The room has everything you may need in the minimum area, but you will not need any more. Don't be impressed by opinions saying the room is too small; believe me, I have been in four and five star hotels all around the world and you will not miss one single thing in this tiny room. Moreover, the bed is so comfortable. Breakfast is very good. The feeling inside this hotel is really friendly. Don't hesitate to book.
We spent 3 nights here for New Years. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and even offered us late check out for free. Breakfast was very good and varied. The gym was surprisingly good with more equipment than most hotels I have stayed in. The hotel is located on a quite street, in walking distance to the main attractions in Stockholm. I would definetely recommend this hotel for anyone travelling alone or couples.
I visited Stockholm in late December for three nights. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel as I was not expecting much from an affordable small room without a window. Yet, the compact and quiet room had everything necessary and I never noticed missing the view. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was versatile and tasty and the wifi worked perfectly. The location is great, too. It's only 10 minutes' walk away from the central staton and just a few blocks away from Hötorget metro station. So what's there not to like? I will definitely come back!
We chose this hotel as we assumed Best Western would be a guarantee of quality. The hotel has great design and atmosphere with a very fancy reception and bar. We knew the roomdidn't have a window but we weren't prepared (nor was it even mentioned in booking.com) for the size of it. It was less than 10m2, wide enough for the bed itself and that was it. Design was great but we felt trapped in there. It was very difficult to even open our luggage. We had some problems with the safe and ended up being moved to another room. This one was significantly larger (still small for most standards) and much more enjoyable. Breakfast is served in a very nice but clearly undersized room given the size of the hotel and it was always busy. The food was spotless with good options in local products. don't know how much it would cost but I would even recommend it to someone not staying at the hotel. Staff was mostly friendly but not at first interaction. We found it hard to explain that our safe was not working (they assumed we just didn't know how to operate it) and hard to have someone actually going to the room to fix it. ended up having to wait and it cost us 1 hour of our morning when we only had less than 7 hours of daylight in Stockholm. Location is nice, with plenty of options to eat nearby but it is a bit far from the main attractions. Would probably stay again if in a different room with a window and a bit more space.
Excellent hotel with great value, rooms were very tidy, bar is trendy and modern, large breakfast buffet, good location near shopping street - I was really surprised because of the price, but I will book again!
This hotel is ideal if you are not planning to spend most of your stay in the hotel itself. It is close to most things in central Stockholm and offers every facility you want to find in your hotel room. However, it is very efficiently planned so you will not find any excess space in your room. Handy for business trips or if you plan to get out of the hotel and spend your time exploring town.
The rooms are tiny, service at the front desk lousy the breakfast okay and so packed on weekends you can't get in. Yes, it's cheap and well-located, but you're better off finding somewhere further out than staying here. You don't want to spend any time in your room because it's so tiny.
Excellent hotel in the city center of Stockholm. Smiling personnel and efficient offer and services for the right price. Compact rooms with all you need granting a good nights sleep and the generous breakfast buffet will give you a perfect start of the day. Try it!
Stayed two nights in November 2017. Excellent location but person in wheel-chair is facing an up-hill struggle if coming from Sveavagen. In particularly liked the sanitary installations with a big and well-lit bath room mirror. Room very small but compensated by the lobby sitting area, that was unfortunately over crowded Monday afternoon. Main critique is impossibility to charge bar consumption to hotel room. Explanation was different companies, BUT having faced same situation in London with a hotel and a steak –house next door they had made an arrangement. Thus a score of average instead of very good
This hotel is located on a side road in the centre of Stockholm. Even nine floors up we were disturbed by lorries, trash collections, people shouting right through the night. At least this took our minds off of the cold draught coming in through the windows which don't seal shut properly. Best Western advertises as having smaller rooms with increased communal space. Here's the first mistake guys, no one staying in a city centre hotel cares about the communal space, even people staying on business go out to eat and drink. A sauna and gym look good on paper but are useless to most travellers. Mistake two - the rooms aren't ‘smaller' they are the type of cubicle barely big enough for one person you expect from bottom end budget hotels. Two people with a suitcase each in a double room and you can't move. Mistake three - the glass panelled bathrooms. I love my partner, and showering together is sexy, but I really don't want to watch him go to the toilet. A thin, gauzy curtain does not make for privacy. Mistake four - I am sick to death of hotels who think they're four star simply because they have a rain shower. Mistake five - Double beds don't work well with single duvets. Not unless you have divorce lawyers on site. Awful and overpriced, we booked for two nights but will only stay for one. I'd rather go to a chain which knows how to treat their guests like human beings rather than trying to crate in as many as possible.
My wife and I had visited Stockholm over the midsummer weekend in 2017. When looking for a hotel we mostly found hostels or properties with fixed or no windows, shared bathrooms etc. (which we didn't want) and hence chose this based on the reviews and because it fit our budget. Having read (a lot!) about the 'adventures' of other people in the kind of properties described above, we didn't get our hopes up much and thought we would be spending just a night at the hotel so not to bother much. But boy! Were we surprised! Right when we entered the hotel we were greeted with warm and pleasant smiles. Sophie was most helpful in making the check-in process absolutely seamless. We were in our room in 5 mins of arriving! The room is another story altogether. I have stayed in a fair share of rooms & suites but I haven't come across a more functional room in any of the countries I have visited. Don't get me wrong, the room is pretty small by normal standards but here each square inch has a purpose. Nothing is out of place or unnecessary and though the room is small, none of the stuff gets in your way. Not to mention how spic and span it was! Amazingly comfortable beds, cozy & warm blankets an Plus the rain shower! The breakfast also had a good spread and sumptuous (though not many options for vegetarians like us but still enough to get you started for the day). Not to mention it is a lane away from the walking street going through the heart of Gamla Stan and a walkable distance from the Ciyterminalen as well as Central Station. Lastly, Sophie & Amyra were very helpful and generous with helping us with our luggage. Not only did they accommodate our request to hold the luggage for a couple of hours the day we checked out but they did so also on the next day (when we were staying at a friend's place) because our bus was delayed. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Stockholm and looking for a good place to stay. Visit here not for elaborate and spacious places but for clean and functional rooms with warm, courteous staff as an added bonus.
The staff is mostly busy serving themselves and do not give the costumer any attention like they dont exist but the rooms were ok swedes do not have a clue about service. Terrible music. Location is exilent. Swedes must try to make their sevice better. The attitude of the swedish server is terrible.
I travelled to Stockholm alone for a week and stayed here because of other reviews. What a fantastic hotel. I had a single room with no window and was expecting the worst but it was delightful. The shower was amazing! And the bed was comfy with plenty of space. Breakfast was included in the price and was delicious with lots of variety and constantly replenished. The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in the communal lounge and bar are lively and enjoyable. The food at lunch and dinner in the restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced for Stockholm. The location is ideal with the nearest tube station about 200 yds away. If I come back to Stockholm I will stay here again ??
Small but very well functioning rooms in mostly Nordic design. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious with many local choices as well as the traditional continental breakfast choices. The location is very good and within walking distance to downtown Stockholm.
We have stayed for a weekend at Best western hotel in Stockholm. All was grey: entrance, room, dining room. Our room was small, with little space.... Not too much to say. Breakfast was ok, could be better. Conclusion: will not stay again to a hotel from this chain.
Centrally placed, friendly staff small comfortable bedroom with tea making facilities and a safe. Serviced daily small criticism no wardrobe or cupboards. The breakfast is of a superior quality and eclectic nice atmosphere reasonably priced well worth a visit.
I stayed at this hotel in downtown Stockholm while in a stopover. It is very well located in the middle of the action but yet tucked away in a secondary street with little to no traffic. The rooms are as advertised with a small footprint but well designed. The bathroom is impressive considering the small space it occupies. The bed was very good, although the pillows were a bit soft. Check in and check out were a breeze. The only minus was the hours for breakfast, starting very late for a tourist side like this (7 am). Other than that, great value and a good choice if you are only looking for a nice place to stay.
YES IT IS ON A HILL! I will just get that out of the way as many people have mentioned this as a complaint of not knowing this beforehand. to get to the hotel lobby from the street, you do have to go up a small hill which is not that great of an incline, but could be a bit cumbersome if you have quite a bit of luggage. I did not find it too difficult to do, but that is a personal thing and I am sure everyone is different. Upon entering the hotel, you are greeted with the lobby bar to your right, the restaurant to your left and the check in kiosk right in front of you. It is a small check in kiosk which also lets you do a self check in if you want, but it is manned at all times if you need help. The pictures of the rooms from the hotel website are exact and provide a good representation of both the size and layout of the rooms. I stayed with another companion on this trip so there were two people in the room and although a small room, we never felt that it was too small to move around. We did have to make sure that were had a plan of where we put our luggage and not to leave things out so as not to take up space. The rooms decor is modern and fun. Although there is not a closet, there is an available area to hang your clothes, hats, etc... on the wall. There is also an area under the bed to store your luggage. The bathroom was a bit small, but useful and offered a shower only option in the room we stayed in. I did not find it too small to shower in or move around. There were plenty of outlets available to charge everything I needed. Breakfast was included in the room rate and is a buffet which takes place on the ground floor. It is a small area and fills up quickly as it is a first come first serve seating. Everyday, you can also find people sitting in the bar area as well which seemed to be okay with the hotel staff since the bar is not open at that time. The buffet is the normal European buffet with cold cuts and cheese, but also had a selection of cereals, fruits and yogurts in addition to some meat products which rotated like sausages, meatballs and even eggs although the scrambled eggs were too runny for my taste. The downside of breakfast is not the seating, but the lack of staff to help clear up used dishes to free up seating for other guest. The location of the hotel is great and was walking distance to everything that I needed from shopping to eating to the hop on hop off bus stop. I would stay here for sure the next time I visit.
The best thing about the hotel is the location, maybe a ten minute walk from Central station and a 15-20 minute walk from Gamla Stan. It was also spotless, with a television in the room and a brilliant shower. The room itself was pretty small and basic, with no window which felt even darker because of the brown colour scheme. I was staying with a friend in a double room, but unfortunately the bathroom walls are pretty transparent so there wasn't really any privacy! There wasn't really any storage space either, and it was far too hot which meant I didn't sleep particularly well on my two night stay. The reception staff were pretty helpful and friendly however some of the kitchen staff at the breakfast were quite rude which didn't really make for a great start to the day. I think there are better budget hotel or room rental options in Stockholm, although all in all it was okay.
Very cozy hotel in the center of Stockholm. Clean and nice. Good bar with knowing staff. Gym is great and they have a very nice sauna! Breakfeast was great with a lot of different stuff for every taste.
I recently stayed here for one night until my accommodation was sorted in Stockholm. I chose a windowless small room which was perfect for what I needed it for. Breakfast was standard and the service was a little better but it was the room for me which was the best part of it. Although, like I said, I booked the room without the window, I was thoroughly impressed with the compactness of it all. there was hanging space, underbid storage, a small desk and chair, TV, modern and clean bathroom as well as kettle, tea/coffee/milk/sugar and an iron and ironing board. Being a single room, there was only a single bed and it is lifted off the ground substantially more than normal beds... This didn't bother me but if you are not travelling alone this is something you may need to adjust on your plans. My only complaint is that it is a little expensive for what it is. I would've liked to stay here for longer, but the price was just too much. --Also, the hotel opens up onto a steep hill so if you have suitcases be careful they don't roll away or if you have issues walking/walking up steep inclines, please keep this in mind.
When i got into town I took the Arlanda express from ARN airport to the central train station (very convenient - something like $30 USD one way). The hotel is about a ten minute walk from central train station (once you exit the station on the correct street level, it's literally two turns so easy to navigate). The hotel sits on a San Francisco like hill so mentally prepare for the last block. Excellent wifi, and very good breakfast buffet here. It's a very efficient room (the all in one bathroom where the shower is basically part of the entire bathroom). The only dings were no washcloth (I didn't ask if they had any so maybe i just got skipped) and the heavy room doors tend to slam (we can all be good hotel people and manage this as we leave our rooms - haha just kidding, that will never happen, but would be nice). The lobby where you check in/out is cramped, but you don't spend a lot of time down there, right? so a very good central place to check out the city.
We were 3 nights at BW & Hotel. We were very happy with everything except room size. We had not experienced a hotel room this small. It was interesting to see how efficiently they use the space. Technologically up to date. Excellent breakfast buffet. Excellent food in bar & restaurant. Hotel was clean, pleasant. Best of all - location is excellent. Highly recommended.
We stayed here for several nights in July. The hotel is a 5-10 min walk to the train station and pretty much central to shopping and with some nearby restaurants and bars, the metro is very close by also making it easy to get around. We had a small room with no windows which some people may not like but we found it quite cosy the room is very modern with all amenities, comfy bed and great shower room. breakfast in the hotel was included in the room price and was fantastic.
They will ask you to pay in advance, and when you enter your room you'll understand that you have been trapped. The room width is exactly 2 meters and is entirely occupied by the bed, which is located from right to left so that the person on the farthest side of the bed must pass over the other to access its part. No wardrobe, only hangers. If you want to open a suitcase on the floor you must choose whether to lose access to the bed or to the the exit door. If you only have a light movement limitation, or light claustrophobia, this room will be a nightmare. Forget about privacy: the bathroom walls are all in semitransparent glass. Never again.
I stayed at Best Western and hotel in August for a business trip. Hotel room was small but clean. Great breakfast buffet. BUT, the hotel staff erroneously double-charged me for my 5-nights stay, and so far have refused to refund the money. Mistakes happen. It's how you handle those mistakes that makes or breaks customer service. Best Western and hotel dropped the ball. I will never stay there again, and I don't recommend you do either, unless you want to spend hours on the phone trying to correct their mistakes.
This hotel is well located few meters away from the metro, which is very convenient to visit Stockholm. The rooms are small but well designed and equipped, good for a weekend stay. The breakfast is good and well diverse. Service is friendly. The negative point is noise from the street, which we found quite inconvenient -requiring hear plugs.
I canceled my first booking choice in the last minute, and booked this hotel. And it was not a mistake. This is so great place, that I wouldn t thint twice if I come to Stockholm again. The staff is great, smiling and helpfull. Self check in and check out is available, also, and it is super easy. The rooms are not big, but when you are in such perfect town as it Stockholm, you need a room just for sleeping. The bed- omg- I ve never slept in such cozy bed with just enough pillows. Shower is also great, but a see- trough. :) if you are shy- don t come here. Hehe. The lobby and a bar are so perfect, design is on the top of my thumbs up. Breakfast is various- coffee great. A bit crowdy, not enough tables for so many guests. And- the last day, after we checked out- we asked if we can leave our luggage till our flight- and there was a positive answer- they have free licked luggage room. So again- a big plus for this place. In the center of the town, 1 minute from Hotorget station, 5 minutes from the shopping alley , 10 minute from central station and 15 minutes from Old town. Coming soon again, i hope so.
20 min walking from the heart of Stockholm (Gamla Stan), and 10 minutes from the railway station! The room is clean and confortable, but really small! despite the dimensions, there is everithing you could need (iron and ironboard included)! Buffet with continental breakfast, there is also soya and oat milk in case of intolerances :-)
stockholm is an expensive city and we chose the hotel, because of the recommendation and the breakfast. the check-in was one of the fastest ever I had. very friendly staff. the rooms are not very big, but all is very efficient sorted in the room. we were happy to have a water cooker in the room to make the own tea and coffee. food prices in stockholm are very high and for us was a good breakfast buffet important. you got not disappointed in hotel. hugh choices from fish, meatballs, cheese, sausages, vegetables and fruits. with this breakfast you save your money for a lunch in stockholm. also we liked the breakfast time till 11:00 great. in the peak hours is the breakfast room very, very busy. but the staff is busy that nothing is empty. if we go again to stockholm, we will go again to this hotel. very close to the main shopping street.
Absolutely enjoyed my stay at this modern BW hotel in central Stockholm. Located in central Stockholm only 7-10 min walk from the Central Station, or 2-3 min walk from nearby Hötorget metro station. Quick check-in, my room (single bed) was located in a basement, with no windows, easy access by elevator or stair. Some folks may feel claustrophobic. Very fresh and modern room, comfortable bed. My next morning started with a superb breakfast. The buffet breakfast has a wide selection of hot and cold food, also fresh fruit. See photos.
About 2 dozen of us stayed here for a wedding in Stockholm. Couldn't have been much closer to the metro which made it easy to get around. Had a slight problem at check in when one of the rooms I had booked didn't seem to have been reserved but it was soon resolved. The family rooms were a good size, but the doubles were very small. However, once we organised everything we had with us then it served us well. We paid extra for a room with a window and it had good blackout blinds. (Check your booking to ensure you have booked what you want.) There is a safe, hair dryer, iron and ironing board in the room. The beds were very comfortable and the air con was good. The bathroom was well laid out and the shower was excellent. The bathroom wall is made of frosted glass in the double rooms so I was glad not to be sharing with someone I didn't know very well! The rooms were very clean and were made up every morning while we were at breakfast. There was a good choice of food at the breakfast buffet and it was served from 7am-11am, which was great. Not a huge evening menu but everyone found something they liked and enjoyed. Drinks were quite expensive, but that's Stockholm! There was a pleasant lounge and a good outside terrace that suited our large party well. I would recommend this hotel and will probably stay here again.
Very nice hotel. Breakfast in nice and varied. Also if you have nothing to do it's got a nice outside terrace on same floor as reception. Although there is a bar no body ever served at it but u can get a Fri k by reception. The rooms are nice with everything you need. The bed is probably the best I have ever slept in so comfortable. Room had no windows which was fine. The only downside is the bathroom. I wouldn't suggest friends staying in the same room as the toilet and bathroom are see through. Also in our room the bed was facing the toilet which wasn't the best.
We (2 adults and one child) were one night in family room. Room was very nice !(recently renovated). Also Service was friendly and hotel is in good location! Great choice for this price! Will definately check this when visiting in Stockholm next time
Ok I know its Stockholm and its expensive, but SKr1,800 for a small windowless basement room is ridiculous. That said the room was clean and well equipped, even if it was like a cabin on a submarine and breakfast was really good, the bar was however overpriced even by Swedish standards.
Great stay in Stockholm overall Some pro/cons Very small rooms Some room has no window No AC but wasn't really needed all times Family room is great Great location Free wifi Great hot breakfast Self check in take time Nice bar
Great location for sightseeing, great breakfast, excellent welcome upon our arrival, Rooms are very very small for two people, one had to ask for a handle to open windows, no A/C as such.Although small shower room/bathroom was well designed. As we had the window open at night our room was very noisy, suggest ask for an inside room for peace and quiet.
Breakfast was fantastic and my favorite part of this stay. Room was clean if small. Bathroom was interesting, as it is enclosed in a frosted glass, so if you are staying with someone, I hope you are comfortable with them potentially being able to see you doing your business in the bathroom. Location is great. Value is alright (everything in Stockholm was expensive, but I still found the price to be a bit too high).
Best Western & Hotel is located in the center of Stockholm, close to the underground and at one stop from Stockholm central station. For a hotel in the center of Stockholm, it is not expensive at all but be aware that single rooms are without any window. If you want a window, you must take a double which is not too expensive (someting like 30€ extra compared to the single). The room was extremely well-equipped and the hotel was calm. The breakfast buffet was just wonderful. Regarding the staff, some were extremely efficient and ready to help while others were more cold and in "minimum service" mode.
We went to this hotel after a cruise ship trip within the Baltic Sea and we found out the hotel very relaxing. The internet was very fast and had no problems with work mails. Unfortunately the rooms where not that big and they didn't have windows but equally based on that I feel it's a very good hotel for short time.
The staff are friendly and accommodating. I checked in with a bike bag (on the way to the Vätternrunden) and they assisted me with the key to the luggage room so that I didn't have to have it stay in the room with me. It is a modern, comfortable and well located hotel. Walking distance from the main hub of the city and also the train station. Check in was excellent as was the breakfast, with the hotel a accommodating the overspill guests in the bar area rather than keeping them waiting for a table. Superb and highly recommended.
This hotel does everything it says it does and goes that extra mile! From a smooth unhindered check-in to arriving in the room we knew what was in store. The room size is adequate for a business meeting or whilst on a city break because you are out most of the time but to come back and have a good quality shower and nights sleep is essential to start the next day. The iron is better than many 5 star hotels so if you need something pressed ahead of a dinner date or your business meeting then, its perfect. Flat screen TV, fast internet and all the mod cons in the heart of Stockholm within easy reach of all the tourist sites and many businesses, this place is not to be missed!
We had a room without window (like we booked) was ok. Nice and clean. Not too big. Breakfast was nice wth a lot of options. You can walk to the trainstation in about 15min. The central city is at about equal distance.
The hotel is at a great location in the center of town, was very reasonably priced, and the room was small but just what I needed. The 1 pers room is really small, not even much room to place your suitcase, however as I did not pack much it was just perfect for me. I stayed here one night, bed was nice, breakfast was great (much different things) and staff was very nice to me. Free wifi as well.
It is pretty new, very clean and modern hotel. The check in and check out you make by yourself with a computer, it is very easy and in 2 minutes you have your room's card in your hands. The rooms are small but perfect size, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. One of the best things is the breakfast. Huge and delicious buffet with many kind of fresh food. The location is perfect, the hotel is in the center, and at 10min walking from the central station. I think it is the best choice to spend some days in Stockholm for a reasonable price.
I hated this hotel before we even arrived there. I asked them to take the full payment off my card prior to arrival in order to avoid problems with my card abroad but they asked me to fill out an application form, send them back and front of the bank card plus passport. I don't have a scanner at home, so this was a hassle. There wasn't much time left to play around either so I didn't manage to do it. I wanted to cancel the hotel because of this situation. However, that was not possible, because the booking was without cancellation, which means, if we hadn't turned up, they would have taken the full payment off my card WITHOUT seeing a copy of my card or passport! They also do not accept cash payments for the room, a possible alternative in order to avoid getting a blocked card! Unfortunately, this unhelpful theme carried on throughout our stay at this hotel. Staff very obviously do not care about helping guests or making their stay as enjoyable as possible. In addition, the overall set-up is not meant to be user-friendly. Check-in is supposed to be self-service; there is no phone in the room to get in touch with reception, instead you have to queue downstairs; there is no lobby to sit down and relax but a loud bar/restaurant with bar stools; even though we were two people in the room, we were told that they do not have a second chair to give us for the room; breakfast stops at 9.30 on weekdays; and the bathroom is a tiny cupboard made of ... glass. Yes, you got that right, glass, which means zero privacy and a bit of a stripper club atmosphere in the room. If you are slightly larger, you will be unable to use the toilet with comfort. We also found that the daily servicing in the rooms would avoid doing things like replacing toilet rolls, glasses etc. It looked lazy and we could not do it ourselves either but we had given up on asking staff to do anything at that stage. The lowest point definitely was when a staff member opened the door to our room one hour before check-in time on our last day and while I was in the glass bathroom! When we complained about it at reception we got the response "OK". They didn't think they had a reason to apologise to their paying guests! We also thought it was bad when we found some blond hair on the freshly replaced bath towels. In terms of facilities, the room layout could have been more convenient but there is obviously no intention here to be helpful... Breakfast can also get VERY busy. It looks overall like the intention was to run this hotel along the lines of a youth hostel... We were not happy with the location of the hotel either. It took between 15 to 20 mins to walk to the old town and slightly less to the railways station but the boats were really far. On the plus side, there are plenty of places to eat in the vicinity. Other pros were a black-out curtain to cope with the night-time sun, a great breakfast (which finished at 9.30 am Mo-Fri), a gym (without a leg-curl machine) and sauna. They also kindly gave us a radiator when we complained that the room was cold, however, the radiator arrived covered in dust... Overall, we thought that this hotel does not live up to expectations and we thought that for slightly more money we could have stayed somewhere nicer and closer to the waterfront (we stayed six nights at the &), which, we thought was the best place for tourists to be. If we're going back to Stockholm, we will try a different hotel.
The hotels is okay. Very small rooms (I had executive!), getting in bed is not easy. Very small room to work. Quiet area. Check-in is too complicated for self service... The breakfast is good, but the breakfast room is very small.
Let's start with the good side: the hotel is conveniently located and you can walk to all places of interest in the centre of town. That is all the good I can say. The underground (!) room was tiny and windowless. I have fortunately never suffered from claustrophobia in my life. But here I felt locked into a creepy cell. You don't even know what weather to dress for in the morning as you can't see out. You first need to take the lift a couple of floors up to the ground floor to see daylight. Reception is a small table with two self-service computers. As many guests seem to have difficulty with these there is also a rather flippant receptionist available to help guests feel unwelcome. Finally, there is breakfast. The food is average. After two days it gets rather boring as there is no change on the buffet at all. When you come down you have to struggle to find a table as the staff don't manage to clean up after people left. It all looks very unappetising with dirty plates standing around. Once you get up to fetch some more coffee and food from the table, however, you can be sure that somebody has swooshed in to clear your breakfast away and other guests have taken over the table. The whole breakfast experience was so stressful that the rest of the working day seemed quite relaxed in comparison. In summary, this hotel was one of the worst places I have stayed in for years. Fellow travellers, stay well away!
So just stayed her for work. Was a bit surprised to learn when checking in that my bedroom has no window - as in literally no window at all. Even most basements have small windows! If this is what they're selling they need to be much clearer. Wouldn't have booked if I'd known. It's a real shame as I've stayed several times before but I'm not sure I'll go back again now.
We found the hotel on booking.com after booking cheap flights and needing somewhere that fit in with out dates and not too expensive. We were a bit unsure at first at the prospect of having no windows (as most of the rooms are underground) but realised you don't come to stay in your hotel room all weekend! We were really pleased upon arriving at the hotel, it is up a quiet street but right in the city centre and really close by to a lot of the tourist attractions. The room itself is lovely. A really comfy good size bed with plenty of pillows. The bathroom is different as it is in the room and separated from the room by a glass screen - which is fairly see through! However the bathroom is great, shower gel etc provided and plenty of towels, hairdryer too! In the room there is an ironing board, iron, kettle and hot drink supplies. There is also a safe, which is big enough for passports and tablets, however if you have a laptop, it probably won't fit in unless it's less than 13". All in all a really great room with everything you could need! If you are planning on staying for longer than a weekend there isn't really much space to unpack your stuff as there is only one drawer under the bed and a few hooks on the wall, this wasn't a problem for us though. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well, a good mix of meat and breads, some cooked stuff (including meatballs!) and fruit. Plenty to choose from and always lots of it on offer. We would definitely choose this hotel again!
The rooms are quite small, given that only downfall, it's a vacation, why would you stay in your hotel for more than just sleeping? Missing out on a cool city if you stay in the hotel all day. Rooms were very clean and the rain water shower was heavenly. Highlight is definitely the breakfast. Holy crap it was awesome. We stayed in 5 countries and 6 different cities and wish we could have had this breakfast every day.
This hotel is located very close to the centre of Stockholm. The rooms are not too big but pretty comfortable. The style is compact and there is not much room to move around on. The bathroom is quite something. Its located behind a glass wall in the room and gives you first hand knowledge of pretty much everything thats going on in there;-) The breakfast is pretty ordinary and can be abit crowded. The staff is friendly.
Centraly located hotel, for classic seesights stay its perfect spot. Considering hotel level also breakfast was superb with touch of local food. We havent tried gym. As mentioned milion times here rooms are very very small. Actually we found our room smaller then some of our hotels in Japan. If you survive that for couple of days, its fine. For longer stay it would be difficult.
We spent a weekend in And hotel. The location was great and you could say it was near everything. The rooms were very small, felt like a cabin on a cruiseship. Still it was very convenient, for a 2-night trip the size didn't matter. Very disappointing was the breakfast serving on weekend. The food was great, really was, everything else not so. Felt like the staff was doing wrong things, such as arranging tea bags... The buffet was empty all the time, dirty plates everywhere, no plates, mugs etc. The complete experience at the hotel was ok and i would recommend it for relaxed weekend getaways.
We had very nice experience throughout our stay in this hotel. Staff are friendly, foods in the breakfast buffet were outstanding and the room was really cozy and clean. I would probably say 'The best 3 star hotel in Stockholm with great value for money'. We will definitely choose and stay in this hotel for our next trip.
Was looking for a non expensive and central hotel for one night. A colleague had stayed here before and mentioned that the rooms were very small and with no windows. I got a room on the 2nd floor, which was actually 3 floors down from reception area. Almost felt like being on a ship. She got a room above reception area, so would reccomend asking for that. I almost had no cellular phone coverage in my room, but internet access via the hote worked very well. Even though the room was very small, and with no window, it was just what you need for a few nights. A bed, a bathroom and a small desk. The room, and especially the bathroom, seemed newly renovated. Bed was very nice. You have all you need within walking distance from the hotel, even the Central Station. The breakfast was nice, and the the other parts of the hotel (bar and lounge area) looked very nice as well. I would definetly stay here again.
I was very pleased with this hotel. Close to the most popular sightseeings, bars and restaurants. Close to metro station, we didn't have any troubles to get there from Viking line ferry terminal. The room was cozy and has modern design, very impressed with bathroom.
My stay at the Best Western and hotel exceeded all expectations. I had booked quite last minute but was immediately impressed with the efficient check-in process and helpful staff. My room was a double and although relatively compact, had everything you would want and more - super comfortable mattress and pillows, tea set, iPad, blackout blinds, free WiFi and one of the best bathrooms I have seen on my travels for quite some time. The shower was super hot and came complete with a rain shower head and great water pressure, often so lacking in the hotels I visit! The room itself was nice and quiet save for the occasional slam of other doors on the corridor. In terms of location, the hotel was well placed. From the main station I would suppose it is 10 minutes walk or so with only a slight incline towards the end. My excursions were done on foot and the hotel was certainly central enough for that, although it is also right next to a underground station if you prefer to use public transport. Breakfast...where do I start?! It was included in the price and was THE best spread I have ever seen at a hotel before. Copious amounts of cereals, freshly-baked sourdough, cold meats, eggs, bacon, meatballs, fresh juice, great coffee...I could go on. I understand the breakfast is quite popular among even non-guests which showed as the place quickly filled out each morning - although not so much that you couldn't find a table. All-in-all I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western and hotel and would hesitate to book anywhere different the next time I visit Stockholm. Five stars!
Quite a tricky hotel to find-as the Swedish numbering system is a little say....quirky. But oh it was so worth it. Lovely helpful welcome, a small but perfectly formed & totally adequate room complete with an iPad, a superb shower & a bed that filled up the complete width of said room i.e. huge, & as for the rest of the hotel...well. Literally the best breakfast I think I've ever had in my life-ranging from homemade muesli to meatballs & a sourdough, cottage cheese, avocado creation to die for; cheese, meat, tuna, as well as tons of hot stuff.....seriously it just went on & on-superb. And a beautiful funky bar/seating area, all with that lovely Scandinavian feel....all a true delight.
I enjoyed my stay here. It's a great location in central Stockholm, close to a metro station ad well as many places to eat and shop. Breakfast is included in the price, and has a decent selection. The room is on the small side, but for $60 a night it wasn't an issue. I would have no issue staying here again.
I was really impressed with this hotel. The single room was compact but so well designed it didn't feel small or cramped. The roomy shower and bathroom was ingeniously integrated into the room and the bed was comfortable and big enough. It appears to have been renovated recently so it had usb plugs, near the bed, and modern furnishings. It had tea-making facilities and tv with international news channels. There was no window but this is quite common in Scandinavia and actually the lack of daylight in the morning led to a better night's sleep. This option also makes the room cheaper. The location was great for the centre of the city and to get to the main bus/train station was only about a 15 minute walk. The breakfast choice was plentiful and the quality of the food really good. I ate in the hotel restaurant one night which was also decent. I'd definitely stay here again.
Location was close to many sightseeing opportunities and underground. Hotel rooms small but comfortable. Breakfast quality good. Bar and lounge not part of hotel but nice selection and quiet. Close to subway and Manu attractions
We had booked a compact hotel room for two for a long weekend to visit our son in Stockholm. Then the terror attack happenend the same day we were supposed to arrive late at midnight. We re-booked and spent the first night at the airport and arrived Saturday morning. Friendly personnel and small walk-in rooms. Thanks to generous ceiling height (2.40 m+) you did not become claustrophobic. Big glass cage bathroom with great shower, comfortable bed etc. Small but well planned so not a big problem to live so compact. Ok breakfast, great coffee, various sorts of bread, limited selection fresh fruits, ham and cheese on the simpler side, not fancy cheese, not smoked ham etc. , but ok. Perfect for a 2 day stay, but probably not for longer stay. Can be recommended as a price worthy hotel with good location.
The hotel is modern, renewed and very nice. It's nice to find in a room iron, ironing board, teapot and so on. For me everything was perfect except that: - you can't control the temperature in a room (or I didn't find how to do that), but the ventilation system worked good. -they don't have green tea to offer during the breakfast... But I enjoyed a lot staying in this place.
I've been in BW only for one or two nights (can't remember) but it was really nice. Location - great. very close to Hotorget metro station; Close to main streets; Close to centre; Quite close to bus stop and quite close to McDonalds (if someone cares). The hotel itself - very cozy and with interesting desing. I like it. Like a bathroom in the middle and twin sized bed between three walls. Personally - I loved it as it was new thing to experience. I;ve seen many many hotels and many of them in STO, but this was really nice. i will always go there in case of Scandic's unavailablity (that's due to fact that i am TopFloor member in Scandic). Food and breakfast - very nice! Staff - good. maybe was a little bit cold in a room as like in january, and A/C was working all the time, but i was too lazy to complain to staff - so in conclusion - all good!!!!!
I have now stayed at the "&" hotel 3 times, its perfect for my business meetings for its location. The rooms are small as you would expect in a capital city but they are immaculately clean and well thought out. The staff are friendly and the ambience in public areas is chilled out. Staying again in 2 weeks for another business trip and would recommend it over hotels I have stayed at in the city and its only 5 min walk from Arlanda express and main train station.
I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast so much, and the location is perfect for enjoying the city center of Stockholm! It is also a short walk to the Gamla Stan (Old Town) and if you don't want to walk, the metro stop is nearby. Even the grand central station is close by -- I walked from the grand central station to the hotel and it took me some 10 minutes. I will stay here again. I didn't have a hard time with the self-check in and check out process because the written instructions are easy enough to follow, and there is always a staff nearby to help if you need any.
We recently stayed at this motel. Overall we had a great experience. The breakfast was included in the price and the meal we had was great. The room we stayed in was on level 2 and unfortunately the whole level smelt very bad especially near the lifts. The room itself was very tiny. No room even to put the suitcase on the floor without tripping over it walking to the bathroom. The bed was great and the bathroom was also ok. If your expecting a window in the room forget it. We thought we had one but was shocked when we found there was a fake ledge and curtin. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful. The best thing about this place is the location.
I booked this hotel, based upon the location and the majority of reviews. Firstly the location is great, although the road is uphill, OK for us but due to the heavy snowfall they'd just had it was a bit tricky pulling a suitcase. The Metro station is just at the bottom of the road and is so easy to use to get around. If you choose to walk, so many places including the old town is around 15 minutes away. All the staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, a good selection that was being topped up. We took the advise given and got up early to miss the peak times at the weekend and could see that there may be seating problems (lack of ) if you did go later. We did have one of the windowless rooms, 2 floors underground. This didn't both us and the addition of a curtain on one of the walls to give the illusion that there was a window behind it was a nice touch. It isn't the biggest room but compared to some city hotels there was plenty and it was well thought out and designed. The bathroom is within the room and it is made of glass walls, although there is pattern across so you can't see straight in. There is also a thin curtain across the end to separate from the bulk of the room. Having read other reviews I packed some thick PJs (!) but we had no problem with the temperature of the room. If we were to return to Stockholm we would definitely stay here gain.
The room is built around the bed and the bathroom is like a small transparent cubicle. But who needs a lot of squaremeters that you dont use anyway! A nice bar for a drink before or after and the location is perfekt.
The rooms at this hotel are well laid out, comfortable and comfortable. However, I had bit of trouble getting the room to a warmer temperature. The bathrooms was also well set up and attractive. If you like walking this hotel is less than 15 minutes walking distance to many important areas, so there shouldn't be much need to buy a transportation card.
I'd give this place 3 1/2 stars. The rooms were tiny but I guess that's stockholm? I booked the room with no window - it was fine since stockholm got dark at 3pm anyway. To their credit given the small space the rooms were modern and designed with functionality so there were lots of hooks and places to put your stuff. As a BW Diamond member, there was not much to offer. Staff reception at the lobby is minimal - self check in and check out is expected. I asked for an upgrade and I was ignored... I didn't know if it was because of the language barrier or they just didn't want to say that I couldn't be upgraded? Later I came back and asked again for clarity and was told no, the hotel was full. Not very pleasant attitude. As a Diamond my welcome amenity was a bottle of water and some chocolates. I also got 2 vouchers - one per day for each day of my stay work 125 SEK. Fine but later learned that each can only be used on that specific day - staff was very inflexible with this. I only noted the rule after the first one "expired." Not much of a benefit in that case. Room was cold even though thermostat was adjusted to high. Later learned that the thermostat doesn't work because it's central. They eventually gave me a heater the second night. Saving grace of this hotel is the breakfast. Wide range, delicious high quality food, big tea selection. Still on the fence as to whether I'd want to come back again.
Rooms nice knew I was getting one without a window, good shower and tv, bed ok. Staff not great, I walked into the resturant/bar just after arriving because my room was not ready yet so decided to stop for a drink, as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a stern 'yes' rather than a hello how are you? Staff on reception not too helpful either, have stayed in much better places when I return will be choosing somewhere different.
Absolutely the best location. Pretty much everything is within walking distance; restaurants, Sergels Torg and Gamla Stad. It could be a little noisy with fire trucks late on Saturday evening and construction noise early in the morning. Breakfast was quite crowded but manageable. The room was quite fresh and newly updated.
Small quiet hotel, self check in. Rooms are small, but very nice. Good shower, confy bed. Nice area, just 2-300 meters from everything. Arlanda Express direct train drive to airport just walking distance (400m). Highly recommended. Also good buffet breafast
I love the small rooms with the clever, modern and cosy layout. Only this time we got a room with windows (its better without, if you ask me). The room was a bit chilly so we increased the heat. The room never got warm and the street noice held us up all night. In the morning we lookt at the windows and one of them where actually half open. They are not able to be opend/closed by the guest. I also (sadly) have to complaint about the warm part of the breakfast. We have always been happy with our stays here and loved the breakfast. But this morning all the "warm" food like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage (witch also looked gray and unhealthy) was cold. Not even a little warm. I still want to recommend this hotel and I hope that this day were only a "glitch".
Really cool place - don't be fooled by the Best Western name - this place is a great city based hotel which has ounces of Swedish style. The only thing even worth mentioning is the fact that some of the rooms don't have windows, but given the room is cool as hell you don't even notice. Highly recommended spot for a Stockholm city break.
The room was quite small and had no windows. There where no toiletries in the bathroom, we had to ask for it. The best memory of the hotel is the breakfast with a big range of bread, fresh fruit etc..
This place is spotless. I wanted to rate this hotel lower but I cannot. I thought I would get used to not having a window but I didn't...it's weird. Then I wanted to post a photo to show how tight it is...but the travelers photos already there perfectly describe the hotel. Check-in and out is automated and there is help right there. Train entrance is a very short walk, like one short block. Lots of food nearby. The one thing I can add that might not be mentioned is that there was not a deadbolt or even lock latch on the door, the key lock was the only lock which ess weird. Overall this hotel is a great value. Be sure and check discount sites for even better bargains. I'll most likely be back, this hotel is exactly as advertised...clean and tidy, very tight at a great price.
My first thought when I entered the room was, this is like a cabin on a cruise ship. The room was not big but very beautiful with dark wood details. The bed was super comfortable and I couldn't hear a sound from the city outside. Smart storing, ironing supply's in the room, "rain shower" and a tablet for me to use if I wanted to spend time on internet. Easy check-in, do it yourself kind of way, same easy way while checking out. Large breakfast with a lot to choose from! Staff was really nice too. Highly recommend this for staying in Stockholm!
I found the hotel on TripAdvisor. The location of hotel is si good and near the metro station ?? Our room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. we really enjoyed Swedish breakfast ?? I liked lobby of hotel very much it was friendly
The hotel located in the city center and in a quite street. It is a modern style hotel which provide a nice breakfast. The room is very small in one hand and on the other hand for a buisness visit is perfect. The room includes all you need for staing comftable. The only disadvantage is that the windows of the room are closed with no posibility to open them and having fresh air.
The room was nice, very clean and the bed was comfortable. It's a very small room mind you. The room had an electric water boiler with tea, nescafe and milk. The room has A/C and you cant turn it out. The breakfast is good and you have plenty of choices. The common areas are very nice. The location is wuite good, 20mins walk to Central Station. If you want a window in your room, you have to ask for it and pay for it.
Seems pretty new , room was small but modern , clean & with a window. Check in was automated but someone on hand to help , like wise check out . Bar looked pleasant . Handy location for Stockholm business district at a good price.
The location of the hotel is very central and easy to get to from the Arlanda express station; it was maybe a 10-15 minute walk. It is also just up the street essentially from the Hötorget T-ban station entrance. The hotel is just one building from a very major street, Sveavagen, but was in a fairly quiet location. There are a lot of eating options no matter what direction you went. The location lets you be many find restaurants and bars in a matter of minutes from the Sturplan area, to the Drottinggatan pedestrian street or to the Haymarket and Sergel's Square area. The checking process was very quick and easy and the staffs were very nice in answering my several questions. I had read from the hotel's website about their rooms being well designed but small. All of that is true. However, as a single traveler, it did not matter as the design made up for that and allowed for an area with cloths hangers and pegs for clothes. Also, an ironing board also hangs on the wall, very accessible and easy-to-use. The room was also very clean. The bathroom is small but very well laid out with a wonderful rain shower head as well as a hand held unit. As with most hotels now shampoo and liquid soap were provided and these were scented with a very pleasant refreshing subtle scent. While traveling in Europe I have had rooms that had a smaller bathroom space but why waste space just use it well and here they did not. The bed was very comfortable and after a day of walking and sightseeing and on my feet for hours it was perfect at the end of today. Also, there was a sauna in the gym that was very useful after a hard day of sightseeing and it was very relaxing. The breakfast buffet can be chaotic to say the least because the number of people trying to go through a very confined space. However, there is no faulting the amount of food, variety and quality. There was something on the breakfast buffet for everyone with European breakfast items as well as American breakfast items. The chaos comes from the space where the food is available and the number of people trying to get breakfast; it seems all at the same time. For breakfast there are three different areas that one can sit so I always found space to sit even being invited to join some friendly people at a table. I would return here but understand the space limits of the rooms but I did not come to spend much time in my room so efficient design, a comfortable bed, a relaxing rain shower and great breakfast made this a good choice.
Better than expected. Spotlessly clean room full of facilities of a high standard. Good helpful staff, great breakfast. Some of the rooms don't have windows but that's not really a problem as the rooms are brightly lit.
Very nice hotel, very clean, very good location, good breakfast, busy staff, room was too small, but nice. The problems were: 1- Room has no cupboard because too small. 2- there was flowing air from A/C & they can't stop it. We enjoyed a lot.
This room was booked for me by a colleague. He probably didn't notice that the rooms he had booked were marked 'without window'. In fact they were two floors underground, tiny and very claustrophobic. I could't wait to get out. Apparently, they also have lots of other rooms above ground and with windows but as we paid the equivalent of 175 € per room for the cellar, I can't imagine what price these may be. The check in/out is supposed to be automatic and 'self service' but they still have to have somebody explain how it works so it defeats the object. Breakfast was crowded, too many rooms, not enough space in the breakfast room. Would I go back ? Not on your life !
This hotell reminds me of a hostel, in a positive way and more modern and exclusive of course. Great areas for work, study, reading, chatting with your friends. Cozy sofas, books and a nice fireplace. Small but very nice, clean and fresh rooms. I would stay here again especially when traveling alone.
Four nights stay in double room. Good: friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms and new towels every day, reasonably central (15 minutes walk to central railway station and to the old town) and reasonable price. Less good: very small room and extra pay for room with window.
Good location, Swedish breakfast (best recommendations of herrings and natural yoghurt with berries) and chill out zone which is a part of restaurant are really good things in this hotel. Prices and room size - typical for Scandinavia.
Excellent hotel for short stays in a handy location. Space age room which is small but well laid out. Great breakfast. We checked out before kitchen was open and they prepared a breakfast pack for us to take on the train.
I booked really last minute and so ended up with a basement single room as they didn't have much left...despite it being a bit hot (no window and the air con isn't that strong) I was really pleased with the room. It was really well designed for such a compact space, the TV was enormous and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was the best bit - great shower and really stylish. The restaurant and bar area are super cool and breakfast was lovely. It's also in a super location, very close to the Train/Bus station and easily walkable into the centre.
I had a single room with window on the 7th floor. The room had a terrible strong strange smell of some chemicals which was giving me a huge headache. On the first night I was thinking maybe its because it was cleaned with some detergents before I moved in, but the smell was always there. I tried to opened the windows, but I couldn't, there was not handles. On the second day I spoke to reception about it and they told me that they cannot change my room as hotel is "fully booked" and gave me a window handle (!!!!!!) so I can open the window. I am currently trying to do it now - but I don't think the problem would be solved and I read before that other people had similar issue - I am not sure even if its safe for the health. The other issue is AC, it can only be adjusted 2 degrees up or down, you cannot turn it on or off when you want and in my case it was blowing directly on my pillow and gave me a cold. Funnily enough I had to use the same trick as in one of reviews here and cover AC... Additionally the room was "empty", its a style of Holiday Inn - there is nothing extra in the room, not even information about hotel facilities, what time they are open etc, NOTHING AT ALL. Soap and Shampoo are in big dispensers and there is no other toiletries like shower cap and other essencials and its a 4 * hotel. I tried to stay positive despite of the room size and no wadrobes etc as the location for my visit was good, but honestly I couldn't. I am coming to Stockholm on business quite often and the services which other hotel of similar style provided me were much better - there is Miss Clara just round the corner and Kungstgarden and they are 100% better.... Much more friendly staff which is super helpful - here every time you ask a question its like they do you favor to reply, breakfast is very limited - it is fresh, but selection is much smaller then in hotels I mentioned above and they don't even have a proper coffee machine for a cappuccino or café latter and also there is no deserts - just a time muffin cake cut in small pieces. Overall it is the first time I am disappointed so much with hotel and I am coming to Stockholm for the past 4 years.
Best Western And Hotel in Stockholm is a great location, within walking to old town and all the sights, shopping, variety of restaurants. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great. Service is good. Would definitely return
Dirty towels, with blonde hair on it. Very uncomfortable bed - the mattress should be changed. I woke up tired because of it. In the breakfast room, tables were not cleaned. The check-in info sent by the hotel to sms and e-mail, prior to arrival, were written in Swedish. I find this unacceptable, to send info to foreign customers in a language they do not understand. Info in english would be much appreciated. Good location, not far from the city center. Easy check-in at the hotel.
Centrally located 50mtrs away from hötorget station. well furnished rooms. tastefully decorated interiors and amenities are good. it is definately a good place for business travelers. nearby places offer good options on restaurants too
I was staying during 6 days. And really enjoyed it. But pay attention, for example, I knew that I was ordering a room without a window. My room was always clean. Breakfast was perfect, food was fresh and delicious.
Warning: If you have any sort of issue with your legs then DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! The access to the hotel is up a very steep small road and it is not accessible if you have any problems with your legs. The hotel brands itself using the '&' sign for everything so you are staying in the &Hotel, have your &Room, enjoy a drink in the &Bar and eat in the &Restaurant... But it would have been nice with some &Atmosphere re and a bit of &Service. The rooms are tiny(!) and there is no closet for your clothes only a bar with hangers. For 2 people the room will be very hard to navigate. For business traveler like myself it is okay for a couple of nights but anything longer would be suffocating. While I visited the restaurant was only open for breakfast - a decent breakfast - and the only dinner offering was a few dishes on the bar menu.
Comfortable hotel in the center! Clean room and professional services! Just too small area for breakfast. And there is a kettle in the room, no information about it in the room description. Highly recommend!
The location was good, in a quiet street, near to the underground and within short distance of shops, trams and restaurants. Room was particularly small, although nothing was lacking, The bed was made from a sofa bed into a double which was disappointing. Get to breakfast early or you may find yourself carrying everything through into the bar or even the lounge area - not ideal but the selection and freshness of the food was very good.
I stayed in a windowless budget room, and was impressed at the very clean, modern, well-designed amenities in my room. Lots of lights, and really neat glass-enclosed personal bathroom. The elevators are a little confusing in the hotel, but not a big problem. There is also access to a small gym and very nice, modern sauna, and a breakfast buffet with a good, nutritious selection of items. The location of this hotel is excellent: within easy walking distance of the main streets in Stockholm and the Central Station. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel has rooms with a window and rooms with no window. We opted for a window. I can see how a windowless room could be appealing. A. I believe it is cheaper and B. No late night sun. Our window room is perfect. It has a full bed that fits right under the window, a small desk, hangers on the wall, an ironing table, a safe, a cubby and a drawer for luggage. We do only travel with one backpack each. This room might feel cramped with large luggage. The bathroom is modern and the space is used well - with a half moon sliding glass shower enclosure. The neighborhood is great! The hotel us close to the Central Station, shopping, and restaurants galore. Overall, this is a great little hotel!
Nice place, friendly and helpful stuff, value form money. Modern style. Good breakfast. That hotel has very good location? Its near to metro station and the main shopping. I highly recommend that hotel. The only thing I didn't like is that don't like to smile much, otherwise all were brilliant.
The location of the hotel is excellent as it is walking distance form the main transport hub such as the main train and bus station. The facility itself is very compact and very good, and on top of that the staff are very friendly and very helpful.
First of all, we walked here from the train station and had a hard time finding it because the street looks like a little alley! We quickly discovered that most of the ‘side streets' in Stockholm look like this! It probably would be about a 15 minute walk if we hadn't have gotten lost! Anyway, we had booked this hotel using Air Miles and were expecting a tiny room – even the hotel's website stresses how small the rooms are. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the room wasn't horribly small. There was a large queen sized bed and enough room to manoeuvre around. Not a lot of places for unpacking though. The bathroom was small but efficient and very modern. Our room was below ground (which was a little freaky) and had no window (which was actually a good thing, the room was super dark and we slept great!!!). The hotel itself was nice, there is a self-check in kiosk at the front but always someone there to help out. The worst part is the entrance doors – they were sooooooo heavy! I had trouble opening them to get in/out of the hotel! The breakfast buffet was good, there was a wide variety of foods and even though it looked pretty busy, there was always somewhere for people to sit. Would probably rate it a 3* for the room amenities (because you can't unpack and settle in) but that seems low considering how well we slept so we're bumping it up to 4* based on the comfortable bed/pillows, nice dark room, and good breakfast.
Excellent service and location in center of Stockholm . Good breakfast. Good wi-fi in room and lobby. Room was clean. Staff was kindful and helpful. It was possible to get early check-in. I would recommend this hotel for business trips.
A staff of nearby hostel recommended me this hotel. It is near by T subway. I do not regret by agreeing to his advise. The reception staff was charming and friendly. With in minutes, she offered a good deal for a single room. The room was decent with good bed and large TV screen. Bathroom was nice with shower cabin. There was a spa like shower, which was quite surprise for me. Bathroom had a big mirror with rounded light on it. I could not figure out how to see magnified glass while shaving, as it was at a height. Breakfast was good, with limited choices of cereals, bread, eggs, milk, yogurt, coffee etc. On Sunday morning, there was a huge crowd and there was no space to sit and eat breakfast. Hotel management, should look in to this. Staff was courteous and friendly. Room amenities include free coffee inside of room with milk etc. There was iron board provided. Windows had automated, black screen to prevent sun light. I liked this. Check out process was quite fast. I would recommend this hotel for every one.
The hotel is ok. But check that you have rooms with windows. The rooms without windows is an urge disaster. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. Central location close to all amenities. 10 min walk with suitcase from the central station.
This new hotel is a perfect stay for a city trip. The room we had was quite small, but it was absolutely ok for what we needed (we needed it mainly to sleep). The room even had a LG tablet in it for our use!!! The bed was absolutely comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and new. The only complain we have is the beakfast buffet. The selection of bread and marmelade was very small - just 1 marmelade and no honey :( The rest of the buffet ws very nice and good quality. The location of the hotel can`t be much better. A quiet neighborhood but only a 10 min walk to the harbour or train station. I will certainly book again next time in Stockholm
Superb hotel with a great location and reasonably priced for Stockholm. The room was more than big enough for two and had a huge TV and comfy bed. Compared to other hotels in Stockholm and certainly in this area it's well worth staying.
Great hotel in the centre of Stockholm. Rooms are small, but I guess this is a hotel for business people or people who wants to visit Stockholm and will not stay a lot of time in the hotel. Breakfast is amazing. There is sauna in the hotel.
I have stayed in Best Western Hotels is several different countries. This particular one in Stockholm fell below my expectations. The rooms are so tiny, it feels very uncomfortable to be inside the room. Your bag will barely feet in the room.
This is a brand new hotel, which is quite noticeable. The bed we slept in was extremely comfortable. It is air-conditioned, designed in a minimalistic and practical way. The room offers an iron, hair drier, kettle and tea/coffee selection. The internet connection is very good, and there's even a tablet for the guests. The staff was very helpful, and check-in and check-out were easy and problem free. Breakfast was great, big selection and food to a high standard. Some things to take notice of: There is a toilet, and there is a shower, but the bathroom isn't actually a room. It's a semi-opaque, or rather transparent, bubble in the middle of the room. So unless you're extremely comfortable with the person you're sharing the room with, using the facilities and showering is going to be quite embarrassing. The room was on the small side, so if you need a lot of maneuvering area, you might want to inquire about a bigger room upon ordering. The dining room is also on the small side, so there's a chance you'd have to wait for a while to eat breakfast until a table becomes available.
Great hotel with accessibilty to all places, comfortable & well designed though room is compact. A hotel with the best rate & best services during my entire stay in the Scandinavian countries for the past 2 weeks.
The hotel has the beast location, right in the heart of the city, and close to every central neighbourhood. The central station is just a few minutes to walk, and the old city is right outside the doorstep. Beautiful trendy interiour and tasty breakfast. Easy check in / out.
Everything was good. I like the hotel: small and modern room, very good breakfast, good location. The only (tiny) negative thing is that some of the receptionists should learn how to smile with customers.
I stayed one noight in June this year and what was my surprise when : -You have to do your check in by yourself and wasnt working, so you have to queue 15min -my room was at the minus 3rd floor.. without windows.. -you have to wait to find a seat atthe breakfast buffet.. Will never go back there,,,, even if the hotel is central and the wifi is good, for the price better to choose something else.
Fine hotel with very stylish if compact lobby/lounge and dining area. I had a basement double room that was spacious enough for me as a single person although it is fairly minimalist - no wardrobe but a rather nice hanging and utility kind of wall and a small drawer in the bed. Comfy bed, smart bathroom and good shower. The lack of window was a bit odd - I got used to it and was out early and back late, but it didn't make me want to go back during the day for a rest or break between things. Probably helped with sleeping as was mid summer and didn't suffer with the lightness at night. Breakfast was really nice with a good mix of things, but bit of a scrum at times and not always easy to find somewhere to sit.
Small Excellent Roms with smart solutions. Nice restaurang and lobby as your on livingroom. Kind and helpfull staff. The hotel is situated in the absolut center of Stockholm. Shopping, restaurangs and tourist sites just outsider the door.
Reception desk is understaffed and overwhelmed. At first they could not find my reservation. Then they gave me a room which had not been cleaned. They made amends for this by giving me an upgrade, which I appreciated. I left an item in the safety box when I checked out. I called and they promised to have it at reception for me so I could pick it up on my way to the airport. It wasn't there; the person I spoke to wasn't there and could not be found. And it turned out they had asked housekeeping to retrieve it from the box but they forgot. (If housekeeping has the combination, why put anything precious in the box!) I got it in the end but almost missed my flight. I will not be returning to this hotel despite the good location and reasonable price.
I booked a double room at the hotel without window because it was cheaper. What they don't tell you about these rooms is that they are underground - quite a long way underground in fact. On the positive side the room itself was newly renovated, well finished and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. On the negative side the air quality in the room was poor, and it was warm - and the air conditioning unit couldn't be adjusted very much. Outside in the corridor the opposite was true - cool and fresh. Also I'm not sure how they could call this a double. The bed was 140cm and could only be approached from one side - one person would have to climb over the other to get in and out. The room was one of the smallest doubles I've stayed in and I'n not sure what you'd do if you had two suitcases. I would therefore only recommend this kind of room to people who are sure they wouldn't be bothered by this kind of thing. I guess the rooms with windows are a far better option and worth the extra.
I stayed here just last week for 4 nights. The rates were reasonable, the hotel itself is beautiful and there's a huge free breakfast buffet! I stayed in one of the twin basement rooms (only 1 floor down from the lobby) and I thought the size was perfect for 1 person, it didn't feel small to me. The room was clean, modern, spacious bathroom and super comfy bed. Plenty of storage on the wall to hang your clothes or store luggage. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful ..and the location is just right. One block from the nearest metro station, Hotorget. And restaurants were all around, Kungstragaten has many bars and take away places. Try K25, a cool dining hall with all kinds of food stalls for cheap. I would definitely stay again :)
We stayed for 3 nights in june and we liked it...it's small but clean and modern. The breakfast was great as it had a lot of options and the downstairs bar and lobby are nice spaces. The only minus is the bathroom...separated by glass from the room...it offers little privacy
I stayed here for 2 nights and it was perfectly adequate but I wouldn't have wanted to stay for much longer as the rooms are very small. I was travelling by myself but if I was with my partner the room would have felt incredibly small. The room is the width of a bed so there is only one side you can get into the bed. The bathroom is a small pod in the room and the rest of the room is for some small basic furniture and limited storage. The breakfast was perfectly fine and the selection was good although as with the bedrooms, the breakfast room was quite small. It was very clean and fairly central which were some good positives. If I was visiting the area again on leisure I would probably look for another hotel, purely due to the very small bedrooms. If I was on business for a few nights then I might consider it again.
This hotel has so many pluses, the size of the room did not matter. It is centrally located, very clean and they were very efficient in designing the room and organizing it. We were basically there to sleep and it was great for that. Through trip advisor, I had paid a little more for a room with a window only to find out at arrival that our room had no window. They "upgraded" us automatically. I would stay there again.
This hotel is sort of self-service, but we did get good support checking in. Room was "cozy" and reminiscent of a Hotel M. Located about two blocks from the metro, it's easy to get around from there. The breakfast was really good. Multiple elevators so you don't know which one is coming next, looks like they merged two hotels at one time.
Positive things : modern hotel in the city center. Location is great. quite comfortable rooms. WiFi works great, good rich breakfast. Negative things : - Rooms are VERY VERY small. I had a double room ( solo traveler) and it was quite small.. I think that for 2 people double room will be a very small box. - Daily room cleaning skipped my room for 3 days.. no reason why... - breakfast room very small and not enough for the hotel guests. They open the bar place next to it, but still i do not want to sit in the same table with other guests while eating breakfast. - Reception stuff : the guy was very helpful and nice. When I left/ check out (Tuesday 14.6.16 around 09.30 a.m.) the lady at the reception was very unfriendly & even didn't ask how was my stay... not to say that even goodbye was difficult to her.. (maybe had a bad day).
We stayed at Best Western and Hotel for three nights while touring Stockholm in June 2016. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff was very friendly, accomodating and supportive. Our room was on the 11th floor, which gave us a view of the courtyard behind the property (Note: some rooms do not have windows). The room had all the essentials and our floor was quiet and enjoyable. Can't say enough about the breakfast and lounge at this hotel. Outstanding breakfast!!! The lounge was also a great place to enjoy a drink, have a snack or even dinner. The hotel is located near Kungsgarten, a vibrant street (area) with many restaurants, markets and watering holes nearby. We also walked to the train station to catch the train to the airport after our stay concluded. I would recommend staying here if you are planning to come to Stockholm.
In short: this hotel is excellent value. Pros: - Super central location but still quiet, located on a side street of a busy road - Not expensive at all for Stockholm prices - Modern room - Good Wifi - Delicious breakfast included in price Cons: - The reception relies a lot on self check in/check out with limited assistance. We didn't mind but some might. They need to keep the price low of course so that will mean saving on something. - Rooms, while very modern and clean, are quite small. Did not bother us but if you have a lot of bags or want a lot of space this might give issues. - The bathroom is a glass cubicle (with some frosted effect) may not give the amount of privacy some may seek if sharing a room.
The gentleman at the reception should learn how to smile. He is like living in his own insulated world. We took more than half hour trying to locate the hotel. Not that far from the central station but needs a bit of knowledge to navigate the alleys and back way. Near to Hotorget. Nice market selling delicious looking strawberries and flowers.
Location, location, location! Located at the heart of Stockholm, but set off on a quiet street (which I like). Hotorget Train Station at the next block corner within 5mins walking. 10 - 15min walk to Arlanda Airport bus terminal or Arlanda Express train. Concert hall, shopping district, underground fish market (where you can find the famous fish soup!) are within 5-10mins! Gamla Stan, Ostermalm, Sodermalm are all within walkable distance! You can pick up necessities from Coop and Urban Deli which is also within less than 5min of walk. Small decent rooms, but still feels spacious with the unique design of the room. Pretty much everything you need included in the room, tea, coffee, hair dryer, hot water pot, USB port outlet (no adaptor needed yohooo!), a large TV, and best of all a tablet to use in the room (free wifi available)!!! Love the bathroom design. Cleanliness is a 4 star! Cleaning lady does a great job maintaining the cleanliness of the room, no water stains, so sign of dust anywhere, just cleannnnnnnn! (although she doesn't give me tea refills after the 2nd day... but, that was very minor) One thing about my room is the noise, the constant noise from the next room, the elevator bank, and the people from the hallway... Love the relax vibe music in the elevator, I would love to own that playlist. Gives me some extra ease at vacation mode. :) The staff at the front desk could be a little more informative and helpful, but they are still friendly and nice. Breakfast is good, but I do wish that they can rotate their food through out the week, I was a bit bored with the limited food option on my 4/5th day... But food is still fresh and delicious. (I love their orange juice!) Overall the experience here is a 3.7 for me, and if I ever come back to the city, I will definitely stay at this hotel again!!!
Desperate to find a decently-priced hotel in an area that is walkable to everything we wanted to see, we stumbled upon the & hotel, and are so glad we did! Very new, this hotel is so cool – great design and vibe. Not what we were expecting from a Best Western, to be honest. Location: On a quieter side-street in Norrmalm, the location was perfect – a 10 minute walk from the Central Station, near so much shopping, 15 minutes to Gamla Stan, and totally walkable (although a bit longer) to Ostermalm and even Sodermalm. Close to the Metro also, but we found we didn't need it and walked everywhere we went! Room: Listen, the room is small…but it is so well designed, not once did we feel like we were stumbling around each other, and we even had space to open our suitcases and still be able to walk around. I've stayed in much larger rooms that were so poorly designed, this wasn't possible! The very comfortable bed is to one side, which was kind of nice – almost like a little nook. The safe is a drawer underneath, and another drawer houses the kettle and coffee packets. There's a small desk beside the bed, which had 2 usb plugs – a saviour for us given we had multiple devices and only one power converter! The bathroom is also very cool – a frosted glass wall to one side of the room, with an amazing rainfall shower, and a small, but again well-designed counter. And the lighting! Oh the lighting…I wish I could do my makeup all day with that lighting! Outside of the bathroom there was a wall with various hangers – perfect for our coats and nicer clothes that we didn't want to get wrinkled. Food: The breakfast here was AH-mazing. I couldn't believe the quality and variety for a free breakfast! There was a yogurt bar, hot food (sausages, bacon, eggs, crepes, etc), a great selection of fruit, traditional Swedish breads and spreads, and a good selection of cold meats and cheeses. We were able to get our fill every day, and then some! We didn't eat at the restaurant for other meals, but we did sit in the lobby bar one evening for a pint of micro-brew, and listened to the 2000s hip-hop they were playing (our favourite! ;) The lobby bar had a good number of people – some didn't seem to be guests at the hotel, so I think this is a place locals come to visit, which I think is quite nice for a hotel bar. Staff: Staff were generally helpful and friendly. One night we asked for a restaurant recommendation in the area given all we'd found was already closed for the day (note: coming from a city where things are open late, we struggled with how early things close in Stockholm!). We were given one option (Urban Deli) which was fine, but there wasn't much help in offering up other suggestions – would have liked to have received more suggestions, but this isn't the end of the world. All in all, a great hotel with great atmosphere – makes you feel like you paid much more than you did! Highly recommended.
The room was really tiny (there was not even a cupboard), however it was also very clean, so it was ok. Breakfast was also good, some more seating possibilities and faster clearing away of other persons' dishes would have been desirable. Also it took quite some time to replace bowls, cereal or foods that had been run out of. All in all we were satisfied, but for a price of approximately 200 € per night a little more could be expected.
This hotel is in a good location and has a decent breakfast. The lobby / Bar is sizeable but a little expensive. The room is not sizeable but more reasonably priced... I would have preferred a bath but the room is for sure not big enough for that.
The room was compact, but efficiently laid out. The room was nicely decorated and had some style to it. It was clean and comfortable. Like many hotels, the internet was useless for anything beyond email and low band web surfing. The breakfast more than made up for it though. It was well presented, ample and delicious. It was the perfect meal to fuel up for a day of touring.
I wasn't quite ready for a windowless cave in the basement, and I really wish that was declared more clearly- in the booking system and on the voucher. Apart from that the location is great, price is fair, bed was comfortable and breakfast quite adequate. The bath is modern but this is the first time in Sweden I encountered a toilet that needed flushing 3 times for the least bit of paper. I found it very annoying. Since water is not an issue in Sweden that is sub-standard, and brings the mind to some cheap vacation hotel in southern Europe. All in all okay but not my first choice for another stay and a window is a minimum requirement for that to happen.
My wife and I spent two nights at Best Western & Hotel and we had a good time there : the crew is very hospitable and friendly, the hotel is ideally located in Stockholm (not far from the city center), etc. Though we were aware of the fact that rooms are pretty small (this is pointed out on their website), we were not expecting such a tiny room. I mean, really tiny. However, that room was comfortable and quiet. In regards to the breakfast, the food is really good, nothing to complain about... but the area is so small ! We were not able to find a table as everything was already full. Fortunately, we shared a table with a nice lady. As a conclusion, I would recommend this hotel... if you are not claustrophobic. We spent a really nice time there anyway.
Very nice hotel with efficient and friendly staff The location is excellent, walking distance from the station and from the Old Town Wide and nice lounge Breakfast is excellent Restaurant is open until 11 pm and has a good menu
Selected this hotel based on reviews and the price after being denied over and over again for various Airbnb's in the city. The hotel is in a great location. No more than 10 min walk from the airport bus drop off. Never had to use public transportation once in the city because of the great location. The rooms are small yet very comfortable and functional. The breakfast offered had a nice variety of options and the fresh juice was wonderful. The only downside to this hotel was the somewhat see through bathroom. This was the first time I've encountered this and it was strange so if you are staying in the room alone make sure you're comfortable with the person in you're sharing the room with. I would stay here again if I return to Stockholm.
off a main street 10 minutes walk from the airport express and central station is this newly renovated hotel. The inside of the hotel is warm and cosy and modern, the room i had (although no window) was great, lovely bathroom, nice big LG TV and quiet. lovely and quiet. The breakfast buffet one of the best in a small hotel i have experienced, fresh orange juice, choice of breakfast options. the hotel lobby is a lovely space to chill and i would highly recommend it for those in the city for a few days. Hotorget tube is on the doorstep so its a great location to travel to and from. also it has a nice compact gym with a sauna.
This is a great hotel. Rooms are typically small for Stockholm but they are with great functionality and use of space and include iron, hair dryer, hospitality tray, TV, safe and a tablet to use. They are clean and they are also very nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent! One of the best I have ever had, great variety, thought the restaurant can get very busy. Location is great too, very central but on a quite Street. Service also good. Price was expensive but then again this was a very busy weekend for the city so in different dates a more accessible price might make more sense. Overall, an excellent hotel and surprisingly not as 'chainy'.
Newly renovated with modern facilities including tablet phone by the bedside. Room was compact but comfortable enough. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was supperb and rich in choice. Very close to the city center but hidden in a small side street reducing vehicular noise.
The hotel is conveniently located in a small street downtown, not far from the central station. While the location is a bit sad, the hotel is very, very nicely furnished and decorated. The room I had was under the floor level (and this was clearly indicated at the reservation), its was small, but comfortable and modern. Internet is available as free wifi, high speed. The breakfast buffet is abundant and provides a good variety, especially for continental breakfast. The prices are reasonable for Stockholm and the value for money very good. Definitely a good choice.
I was pleasantly surprised of how good this hotel turned out to be. It is very modern and of course very fresh since it was opened just a few months ago. I had a single room without windows, which turned out to be in the basement below ground level but it didn't feel cramped or confined at all. An advantage of basement/windowless rooms is that they are completely dark and silent from street noice so if those are issues for you, you'll probably sleep better here than in top level rooms with windows. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The size of the room was sufficient for one person with ample room for the folding luggage stool. A large hd-tv by the bed. The bathroom/shower was separated from the rest of the room with a patterned and rounded glass wall which I think also help in making the room feel larger than it was. One very modern and neat feature was two USB power outlets right by the bed. Being able to charge your phone by the bed is forgotten by a lot of hotels. And there was shoehorn which I also appreciate. Nicely scented shower gel was also provided. Even an LG/Android 7" tablet was available in the room, but I didn't find any use for it since I prefer my own device(s). Wifi is free and worked perfectly. The breakfast was also surprisingly good and felt very modern. Maybe not as wide selection as in larger hotels, but what was there was of very high quality. Like freshly squeezed oranges in glass bottles and some nice salsas to the pickled herring. When other central hotels cost 1500-2000 SEK, this cost me 900 SEK and I don't missed anything that I might have gotten from one of those other hotels. I can highly recommend this hotel and even the cheaper windowless rooms.
The hotel has self-check-in and out but there are staff to help if you need it. The room was compact but very fresh and had all you needed. The shower room/toilet was next to the bed but it didn´t bother me us at all. Under the bed were extra duvets and coffee maker/tea/coffee/milk/sugar if you wanted to have some. The TV was excellent with great viewing. The common areas were good too. There was a lounge where you felt like you were in a living room with books, magazines, different funrniture and so on. Wonderful ceiling lamps. The breakfast was really good! I can recommend it!
Recently renovated hotel. Yes, they say the rooms are small, however neither me nor my partner found that at all bothersome. The rooms still gives a pretty fancy experience. The duvet sheets felt so perfect for the time of year during our stay. The breakfast has all things needed. I definitely recommend this to my friends and family.
Great hotel with excellent location, cleaness and breakfast. The staff is really welcoming and helpful. The only negative i found was the size of the room. It was absolutely tiny but surprinsingly witth every amenity you could need.
Great Hotel in the centre of Stockholm. Brand new hotel with really great rooms. Everything inside the hotel are really great designed and a top modern gym center with nice saunas. The staff did everything for us in a modern way and the price was very good for this stay. Highly recommend this for both families and work stays.
The hotel is rather nice and modern however, the ending to my stay was not very pleasant. During my last night, the toilet started to act up (i.e. not flush) but we managed after a few tries. On my last day it completely shut down and we could not flush anymore no matter how many attempts. So I decided to go to the reception and ask if 1). there was a maintainance person who would look at it as there is still someone going to use the toilet. Unfortunately, it is a weekend it's only first Monday the person would come. I asked then if 2). there was another room we could use. The reception said it was fully booked. But I could see that there were people checking out, maybe a better response was to offer to clean the room right away so we could use it. I really did not want to write this as my other experiences (food, checkin, etc.) were fine. But I would not want another guest to perhaps experience the same and maybe "wait til the weekday" for the toilet to be fixed especially when customers are paying good money to stay in a nice hotel. The last day is still being paid, and I would've hoped that "leaving customers" were being treated the same as "incoming customers". :(
I guess this hotel is ok if you are traveling alone - it is brand new in a good localtion, but the rooms are described as double rooms but owning to the size (one person can hardly move around) and the fact that the bathroom has only a thin see-through glass wall, I would not consider to share the room with anyone, not even my wife. Breakfast is ok, no organic food (standard in Sweden) an very few alternatives to choose from (e.g. really crappy tea).
This is a great hotel, and I really enjoyed it, but object to the message on the pen in my room which bears the message, "Stolen from andhotel.se." What a way to ruin a great hotel. Usually I take a pen on business with me, but this time I forgot. All was well though, as there was one in my room that I could use at the office. Imagine my embarrassment when a colleague saw that message on the pen I had innocently picked up. Whoever thought up that idea needs to learn about customer care. The hotel could put their logo on the pens, and count them as advertising, but not so. If they want to save money, there are so many other ways to do it. I asked the receptionist if she really considered me taking a pen as "stealing." her reply, was, "No, not at all. Please take it with our compliments." Whoever thought up the idea could learn much from that young lady. So, to the hotel itself. The hotel is well laid out, and has many great features. These include: 1. The bathroom is not bounded by walls, but lovely patterned glass. It does not have a bath, which may concern some, but not me. I much prefer a shower, and this one is a lovely shower cabin with a "rainforest shower head" as well as a hand held shower head that is adjustable. A large bottle of shampoo available in the shower area, and also a large bottle of liquid soap. (None of them marked as "Stolen from...") The sink area and toilet were well laid out, and well supplied with another large bottle of soap and a lovely mirror with various lighting options. Also a hair dryer. (Also not marked, "stolen from...") 2, The living area is well laid out, and well supplied. An ironing board and iron in the room is a nice touch. (Neither marked stolen from...") I was very impressed with the Electronic tablet to browse the free Wi-Fi internet. (Surprisingly, marked with the room number, but not, "Stolen from...") The w-fi was easy to access, and reasonably quick in connections. The wide screen TV had plenty of choice in channels, and many in English with Swedish subtitles. (The handset is also not marked, "Stolen from...") I loved the layout of the room, which appears very modern and clean. The bed is up against the window, and has a large drawer built in, which contains a kettle and free coffee, tea, etc. (No mention of "Stolen from...") The room safe is also built into the bed. (A great space-saver.) Also under the bed is a space for storing your suitcase. I really liked the obvious though that had gone into this layout. Looking at the window at first, I thought, "How will I reach the blinds?" On the wall, there are controls for electronic operation of the blinds. Great touch. This layout really works. There is no space wasting wardrobe, but, instead, two rails, giving the feeling of space, and thought. Even the small desk is well positioned to maximise space. I was also pleased wit the supply of a shoe-horn. It just adds that little to the room. (Not marked, "Stolen from..." 3. Breakfast. I liked this. There was a choice of hot, cold, healthy, etc. It was well laid out, tasty and adequate. 4. Fitness room and sauna. There is a well supplied Gym in the basement, with treadmills, cross country machines, various forms of weights, etc. Another great touch for those who have to be away from home, but still want their exercise. The sauna is pleasant. These in a hotel at a reasonable price are a great feature. 5. Staff. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. They give the appearance of enjoying their work, and just WANTING to help. Thank-you folks. You added to the quality of the stay. You are to be complimented. 6. Overall, I enjoyed my stay greatly. Just a shame about those darned pens. Please change the message to, "Compliments of andhotel.se." My colleagues know that I am not a thief, and know that I am to be trusted. Would you rather they looked at your pens as a "Turn-off," or as an advertising opportunity for your wonderful hotel. If you are worried about items being stolen, mark your iron and ironing board, the electronic tablet, the TV and remote control, the shoe-horn, the kettle, the hairdryer, the large shampoo and soap bottles, etc. that is where your profit margins can be hit hard, and not with an odd pen or two. We British have a term, "Spoiling the ship for a ha'porth of tar." The pens do that. they spoil a great product and hotel. Please take this in the spirit with which it is meant. A tiny improvement, which will add to a great, strong product. Would recommend the hotel, and would I return again? Undoubtedly, in spite of the pens.
Stayed here for one night on Saturday 5th March. Great hotel at a fantastic price. The room was spotless and everything looked brand new. You even get an a Samsung tablet to use in your room. Breakfast was very good with lots of different things to choose from. Highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel just opened in January. I have stayed there twice for business and will come again. The concept suits my needs: a very compact room with a good bed in a back street so no disturbing traffic, gym and sauna in basement, excellent breakfast, and a living room "feel-a-bit-like-at-home" lobby. Friendly staff.
This hotel is located in the very heart of Stockholm. Small but extremely nice all new room with all aminities all wrapped in a very contemporary decor. Majority of inside rooms - which is a typical Stockholm hotel feature - but it works just fine. Excellent breakfast . Best value for money .Ill be back.
I usually prefer to stay in more traditional luxury hotels, but Stockholm doesn't really have any so I like to try alternatives and chose to stay here with a small group of colleagues. It is an intuitive approach to a hospitality product that really works for business or short weekend leisure trips. Rooms are small but very practical with everything you need. I had a very nice corner, larger room on top floor. Dont spend time in the room though as lobby and bar/ lounge is extremely comfortable with fantastic atmosphere. Breakfast was also very good, high quality with lots of choices. Very good value!
I'mgoing into my last night of five nights here. Although there was a problem upon arrival (Expedia hadnt provided four digit code), i was booked in and upgraded for the inconvenience by the incredibly friendly guy on reception. It says the rooms are compact but i feel there is plenty of space. The lounge is brilliant! A lovely place to relax at the end of the day. The bar man made a cocktail for me even though it wasn't on the menu. Wifi is great and there are tablets in every room. Breakfast is brilliant. Hotel is central. Staff are great.
I booked this hotel for a night stay before my back to home country on 13 Feb. Since it is newly opened and also the demonstration photos in their website are quite nice, I have some expectations on the hotel. However, I found that the space is very limited everywhere, no matter for the room or restaurant. Because of budget concern, I booked the room without a window. Actually it was not my first time to live in a hotel room without a window. However, it was my first time to encounter such a poor air circulation system in the room. No matter how long I turned on the so-called "air circulation" machine in my room, the air inside made me bad ='( Therefore, I requested to have a room change. Thanks to the friendly staff, she has offered me a room with window and good air circulation =) Overall, I think there may have some problem on the air circulation system on the lower floor's hotel room, I do the hotel may have a better improvement on this. By the way, another bad thing I experienced is the breakfast time. The offerings seems great, however, I guess they don't have enough manpower and capacity to support the whole hotel's guess. On that morning, we went down for a breakfast at 9:30am, however, we saw many people holding a plate with only 1 - 2 sausages. The reason is that many of the food, even the bread and juice were out. The refill process were very slow. The most surprising thing is that I found a milk which has been expired for a day, was displayed next to the coffee machine for serving. It is kind of poor performance. I hope the hotel can improve and provide a better quality service to the guests in the future.
i have to admit that best western does not titilate the expectancy buds but This place is seriously well run with quiet rooms in a Great location and the Room has everything you require from kettle to iron etc etc the dinner surpassed my expectations and i also enjoyes breakfast . quick check in and out in shall return !
Central, very compact rooms but super clean with huge bed and TV, great shower and storage. Really nice food at breakfast and in the evening and a lovely social area with comfy seating which is fantastic for business meetings.
I have not long arrived back in the UK after a 3 night stay at your Hotel. I had the most wonderful time, the service you provided me was outstanding, a fantastic experience, all of the staff were extremely helpful, the room was luxurious and the food was incredible. I'm eternally grateful for your hospitality and I can say that my stay at your hotel contributed positively to the most amazing few days visiting this wonderful country and most beautiful city. Regards Russell Boorer Room 707
Short conclusion - 5 starts in the price of 3 stars. Near perfect service, brand new rooms, iron & ironing board in the room, huge TV, very comfortable. Great restaurant, bar ... everything. And if you don't want to talk to anyone you can actually check in, out and pay without interacting with human :)
Hotel is nice and well placed, close to metro station and in the heart of the city. the street is really quiet with no traffic noise. rooms are fine and good for the swedish standards, with some fine solution to save space. Bathroom well lit and with sufficient space, despite the size and the position within the room. water in the shower floor dried fast . I always like when i have in the room the iron board that may be always useful. Very good and varied breakfast and I can recommend the restaurant also for a dinner, being the food quality excellent. Price-quality ration fine for the city and the position. Good and gentle staff. I liked the lounge room too, cosy and quiet. WIFI worked well in all areas and with no connection issues. Only two things i found not OK: room temp too warm and no chance to control it. Windows sealed and no way to open them. One evening some noise coming from ground music, but at the end not an issue: i suggest to improve acoustic isolation.
