The staff was remarkably kind to help me out, very flexible, friendy and truly supportive. Reliable, trustful room service. Nice rooms, clean and well maintained at absolutely reasonable price. Perfect location for businesstrips as a lot of restaurants & shopping opportunities are right around. Despite the central location the rooms are absolutely quiet. Clean pool as well for a refreshment or some exercises. I enjoyed my stay a lot and will for sure come back.

You can only pay with card, no digital payments (Apple Pay, and so on) and not even cash. Breakfast is a joke. So much disposables and such bad quality of food. Pool is super small compared with the pictures. You don't feel 100% safe in the area, one of the mornings another guest was peeing on the parking lot...

Sorry you seem to not enjoyed your stay. We do accept all corms of credit card as well as US Dollars. Unfortunately Apple Pay and other forms of wallet have not received the PCI compliance approval to the extent that most hoteliers are comfortable with the exchange. Covid-19 has changed the dynamic of food service at limited service hotels, it seems for good. We have returned to a pre-covid breakfast with the only exception of scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns. However in its place we have added: hard-boiled eggs, egg/cheese and sausage croissant, breakfast burrito as well as a Hot Pocket breakfast sandwich. I can't speak to your safety comment as I can only refer you to the fact that we have no issues of crimes that every other hotel in Santa Clara has. We offer one of the only pools in a hotel in Santa Clara and that amenity has been lauded time and time again. If I can be of assistance in a future reservation, I'm happy to do so. I wish you safe travels.

Overall terrible experience. Will not be coming back! Staff was not helpful at all. Chose this hotel for the pool which was not heated and staff did not seem to care about any of the issues we experienced

I'm sorry that you felt the pool water to be too cold, it is set at 72* and if adjusted, would take about 24-hours to increase 4*. I am unaware of other issues that you experienced but would be happy to discuss, if you care to. I hope your next visit to the area is more to your liking.

Unfriendly check in that missed requests and left us without a needed ADA compliant bathroom. TIght parking lot. Horrible breakfast. Cleaning could be better and things need fixes around the room, gaps in the bedroom door let some bugs walk in.

Very happy with our stay we used are best western points for our stay and I am impressed place was clean and was pretty nice. I would definitely recommend staying here. Express check-in made checking in super easy. Breakfast was ok not too many options but made a great little snack to hold us over til our next stop

Staff works hard to make your stay enjoyable & help you however they can! Have stayed here on multiple occasions. Nearby places to eat that you can walk to. If you need items for your trip, there is a Target store about 1-2 blocks away.

I stayed here 1 night to attend a graduation nearby. Nice property, well maintained, super clean, awesome location, and good rate. Parking safety is important to me and this property delivered. Well lit and contained in the center core of the site. Highly recommend this Best western.

Stayed while visiting family. Roome was clean and everything on working order. Staff friendly. Breakfast are very clean decent selection, no hot eggs or sausage but had plenty to choose from Would stay again, good value.

Would have been a great stay if what was told would have been done . It really get old to be told one thing then it does not get done. Paid top dollar and should have received full service on getting the room cleaned. Nothing like coming back in the evening and the room is like it was when we left for the day. Yes the door hanger was off . Not one clean towel and very little T/P .

Was in Santa Clara on business and selected this property because of the great location. We had excellent service from everyone we dealt with and an overall great stay. Some of the guests were overly loud Sunday night in the parking lot (contractor with employees who seem to think because they had to work at night everyone else should get woken up also) but beyond that we felt it was a nice stay.

Stayed for my son's birthday had the family there for a couple of hours area felt safe and the employees were wonderful! The breakfast was very enjoyable and tasty; got to try those waffles you will not regret it.

I love the room they give me, l been using best western por 20 yrs. they always nice people very polite, good customer service, good internet, clean room, breakfast, always look clean , I recommend everyone to use this hotel.

Came to Santa Clara for business and picked this place because it was close to where I had my meetings. The Hotel was clean, service was friendly, and close to SJC which is 100 times easier to get in and out of than SFO. I was able to hit 80% of my accounts in the area.

We stay here every year we come visit my father. Very clean and great rooms with amazing staff. Breakfast was great. We have a toddler and they were so accommodating. The staff is exceptional will make sure you are happy!

They use a scamming reservation system. They withhold information about cancellation and refunds while you are making the reservation and inputting your information. They immediately remove full room rate funds from your account, plus the deposit. Not until the confirmation email are you told of the non cancellation/ refund policy. After a phone call to the hotel to cancel, they said to contact the reservation company. Contacted the reservation company through the confirmation email and they said we had to contact the hotel directly. After contacting the hotel again 2 more times, person at the desk said that they are not going to refund even with enough time to re book the room. He claimed to have asked the upper management to grant us a refund, but they refused. Contacted the Department of Consumer Affairs who referred us to the County District Attorney's office as well as the BBB. Filed complaints with both. Waiting for outcome.

Once again, Mr. Viera, as we have answered this question/comment through several different social media sites as well as over the phone. You decided to make a NON_CANCELLABLE/NON-REFUNDABLE reservation through a third party reservation system, whomever Great America Theme Park uses. Your reservation and agreement are with them, not the hotel direct. If the travel agency with whom you booked your reservation would allow for a cancellation, you would not have an issue. We spoke with them twice as your advocate and they did not change their position. In the future, if you believe there is any chance for needing to modify or cancel your reservation, you need to select a different reservation source, preferably directly with the hotel. We wish you well in resolving your dispute with the travel agency you chose to book the stay with.

Location and safety are great. Near shopping center Target, Sprouts Close to freeway. Clean updated hotel. New decorations Friendly staff. Covid restrictions followed, no breakfast but grab and go available

Overall I enjoyed my time at this hotel. Check in and out was super easy and stress free. The room was very quiet, clean and recently updated. I really like the interior with the dark woods, updated lighting, new appliances, toilets, showers and shower curtain. The bed was firm and different firmness pillows are a plus as I like to try different pillows and not everyone likes the same firmness. I slept the whole night without any disturbance. The rooms are insulated enough to not hear the traffic (on a main road in Santa Clara) or the neighbors next to me. Minuses: The fridge door open toward the door. It only takes 5 minutes with a screwdriver to change it so the door opens to the room. The cleaning staff made up my room the first full day I was staying which was a big surprise during the COVID era. I did not see a "do not disturb" sign in my room to hang outside . I have stayed in other hotels in 2020 where they specifically let me know they will not enter or interact with the room. I assumed this rule was still in place.

the stay was okay. for the value. it was clean, bed was comfy. staff is okay not bad. Just an average stay for my wife and I. Id stay again if necessary but for a best western my expectation where not quite met.

This hotel is located in a very quiet area of Santa Clara and the hotel is set back from the main road - so it was an amazingly quiet room! I will definitely stay here again when I travel through the south bay! I highly recommend this hotel for an excellent night's sleep!

We were having work done on our house and needed somewhere local to stay. This Best Western is very close to our house. We found the staff to be really courteous, helpful, and friendly. Even though we were local to the area, they still made us feel very welcome and appreciated. The room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable and clean. We had a great nights sleep. The room looks like it was recently re-decorated. The grounds have a spanish-style look with the brick and planters. The room was super quiet even though the hotel is located along one of the main streets through our city. There is a great looking pool area but due to the cold weather we were not able to use it. I will definitely recommend this hotel to any family/friends who wantn to stay in this area.

Stayed a few nights to visit our son. Good location. Close to the airport. Easy check in. We arrived early and could get into our room. Room quite spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast with the usual offerings. Easy parking at room. Would suggest getting a room at the back and also not near the ice machine. Would stay again

The Front Desk, Hospitality and Housekeeping Staff are amazing here! Accomodating and kind, while being extremely efficient. I requested an early check in when I arrived at 10:30 AM and they had me in my room by 11:15 - cleaning the room early to make it happen. Very much appreciate their help.

We have a daughter who attended Santa Clara University and now lives in the area. We tried a variety of hotels but settled on this one about 6 years ago. The physical plant is superb. Clean, comfortable rooms; a lovely swimming pool; Large and pleasant lobby; Good breakfast; and easy access in and out. The staff is superb. David and Edith staff the front desk and they are warm, friendly and efficient. The ladies who clean the rooms do a great job. Olivia fixes breakfast and it is yummy. There are several Best Westerns in this area, but the Beat Western Santa Clara University In is the best of the Best.

We were in town for a water polo tournament at Santa Clara University and the hotel was only a mile away from the university. The front desk staff was very helpful and professional. There were also plenty of nice places to eat around the hotel.

Was there for 3 nights during official trip. Rooms are neat and clean. They have a gym which I could use. Breakfast was basic and repititive,however no complains. Located at El Camino real, so there are many options nearby for dinner.

Looked at several other places and was happy we chose this one. Daunting how many places there were. Nice location, central to many areas. Came to visit family for the weekend and was happy to have our own "space". Staff was very friendly and helpful. NOTE to other people staying: Only take the food you're going to eat. Let's not be wasteful.

This property is a bit older, but it is very comfortable, quiet, and the staff is so kind and efficient. There are a couple of restaurants (fast food) nearby, and the local museum is right across the street (with the visit). You get a sense of Santa Clara from the ambience of the place. It may be in the middle of Silicon Valley, but it's got a small town fee.

I rented a car for a week for the same cost as a 1 night stay in a room with 2 beds In my mind there is something wrong with that. This place was no better than your average place to stay Still trying to get over it

I like this Best Western and staff is always friendly. I frequent this hotel and am always able to get it, always clean and breakfast is good enough for me to start the day. There are also food and shops that are close enough to walk to

I was here for the two final nights of my vacations in the US, and it was a godd choice. The hotel is located in Santa Clara on El Camino Real, close to restaurants and to I-101. Despite being on a heavy traffic street, the hotel is very quiet. I had a very good room with a comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Wi-fi was very good, too. Staff were helpful, and breakfast was good, with several choices available.

Great location. Close to restaurants, Santa Clara Convention Center, and Santana Row shopping. Breakfast was good with country potatoes and scrambled eggs as well as waffles, muffins, oatmeal, yogurt, etc.

I forgot a piece of clothing and I know exactly where I had left it. After I called about 6 after my check out, they told me they have nothing, where not helpful at all and said I should call again tomorrow. And so I did call again, yet again they said they have nothing. They said to write them an email and just where extending the process and in other ways are refusing to help me. I know 100% that I left my belonging there. For me this mirrors a very very bad service, coming from the hospitality industry myself! Try to not forget anything behind, even if it's not valuable! It will be confiscated anyways. Very very rude.

Hi Kristina, While we know that losing items is frustrating, as I mentioned on the other sites you posted this on, we do not confiscate anything, but I can say that occasionally items simply are not where we think they should be. We routinely find lost or left-behind items, and even have a service that picks up and ships these back to their owners. We do hope you find your items, and if we do, we will do our best to get them back to you (even though it does not appear that we have your contact information, since you booked through a 3rd party site).

This inn is on El Camino Real which is a busy street so it was very noisy. Also the desk person spoke so fast I couldn't understand him. The people in the room next to mine went in and out of their room many times during the night, each time slamming their door. My room was adequate but nothing special.

Such a great place to stay while traveling. It was the central hub of places to visit. If you're a Niners fan or want to visit San Francisco on a budget. This is the place. I highly recommend it. There is another Best Western close by but this one is the BEST!

Our room was relatively clean, but with a strong chemical/floral smell that made me wonder what they're trying to cover up. There was no lighting over the bathroom mirror, which is a problem if you're a guy who wants to shave or a gal who wants to put on makeup. And the free breakfast....the fruit was brown, the pot of scrambled eggs contained both scrambled eggs and what looked liked discarded omletes from a previous breakfast, and the waffles were so sweet they were inedible. This all made me scared of the rest of the food on offer, but the sausage was edible, as was the cereal

All of the rooms have been recently remodelled. The high speed internet was fast, staff was friendly. Coviently located close to Valley Fair Mall and other shopping and restaurants. Quiet room, easy to get parking.The breakfast was excellent. Great value!

Awful in any sense of the word. Its basically a motel in rough part of town. They still have smoking rooms and they put me in one of those. The stinch was unbearable. Room was ground floor on the parking lot and general felt unsafe

Hi Sharon, It is with my deepest apologies that I believe you have the wrong hotel. We are in a very nice part of Santa Clara, and we have been 100% Smoke Free for years - and enforce it heavily. While we do have ground floor rooms that open into a protected courtyard, we feel we are very clean, modern, and safe - and we apologize that you had a horrible experience wherever it was you were at.

Lovely upgraded hotel close to the airport. Good price. Nice full breakfast. Fred, the night front door clerk was extremely helpful - he even looked outside to find a good parking space rather late at night.

The room is full of smell of disinfectant water, there are impurities in the tap water, and it's really noisy outside, I check at the hotels.com there are still 4 room left, then I ask for change room, but the fronted desk staff david just said nothing left, why don't they just say they don't want me change

Hi Karl, thank you for taking the time to submit this review. It is true that we use chemicals to clean our rooms, and some guests are more sensitive to these than others. Apologies the city water didn't meet with your standards - we do offer water in the lobby, both at the water cooler and for sale in bottles. As for the room change, there are any number of reasons why it might not have been possible at that time, but I certainly apologize that we gave the impression that we were being dishonest. I will look into this and see if we can offer a better solution next time.

Clean room. Welcoming front desk staff. Clean pool. Although our stay was just one night (here to visit daughter & her family), we hope to return for another stay. Our 2 year old grandson loved splashing in the swimming pool, and the pool area had several large tables with umbrellas. My mom (late 80's) held the 4 month old baby while we enjoyed the pool and the shade from the umbrella made it pleasant for her also. Overall, a great place to stay.

Stayed several nights. Good location in Santa Clara, across from the Civic Center park with a big statue of Saint Clare. Room was updated and nicely appointed. Appreciated the mini-fridge and microwave. The sink/vanity is in the main room (that is, outside of the bathroom). Pool looked inviting but we didn't have time to use it. Free breakfast is quite nice, including fresh fruits, good pastries, make-your-own waffles, eggs, and more.

My family booked for 2 nights in 2 rooms at the hotel. One of the rooms had jackhammers and loud construction all night. I was not informed there was any construction going on, either by a phone call or email prior to our arrival. I called the Night audit and asked for a room change due to the extremely loud construction noise. We were told they could not. I spoke the GM in the morning about the loud noise and asked for compensation as we could not use the room for sleeping. We were told no because they can't control the noise. The hotel might not be able to control the construction noise, but they should see it as their duty to inform guest, prior to check in, that there will be construction during sleeping hours. The property does not care about the stress or lack of sleep that this stay gave our family. Their lack of empathy over our poor stay was distasteful and insulting.

Todmjr, We are certainly apologetic your stay was interrupted by the Caltrans construction along El Camino during your stay. Really, to say that we don't care about this invasion of our guest's sleep is preposterous - of course we care! We do have the official Caltrans notice posted at the check in desk, but because they have been all over the place in their work schedule, we can never know exactly when they might be at work. Fortunately the majority of their work does appear to be complete; as this affected every hotel up and down the El Camino, and was not limited to our property, we do hope you'll give us another opportunity to wow you during your next stay in town.

all personal and rooms are the best at all times they ask questions to make sure they are giving the best service and they ask if we were happy on all pass visits were I see is all good at the time to go they offer help on get a taxi and take our luggage to the taxi and they check for us to check out our room an don't forget any important valuables on the room

Breakfast, cleanliness and staff establishment of welcoming atmosphere did not come through. Stayed at the hotel several times in the past year. It has gone down in quality. Recommend staff take more seriously the atmosphere they create.

There were10 of us in our group to attend an out of town wedding. We found this hotel to be very accommodating to our group. We were able to visit on their patio in the evening. The rooms were very clean and had all amenities needed to enjoy the weekend. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all.

All employees were great front he check in, to cleaning staff, to breakfast crew. Everyone was really helpful. The only thing I would chang was the outside noise, it was difficult to sleep with a lot of noise outside (gardeners, construction, loud cars/trucks ).

Gavin and his team went above and beyond yo accommodate us. We got to check in early. Our room was bigger than expected. They were simply delightful. Highly recommend. They help accommodate business objectives too!

Such a good find! Great location, great property, nicely updated, very comfortable and clean. Bed was great, (I stayed 4 nights with no back pain) pillows great, quiet room, extremely clean and bright, plenty of light in room, many thoughtful touches. Very close to higher-end hotel chains' quality for less. Very nice pool and pool area. Good size in-room fridge and micro, full length mirrors on closet doors, nice shower and tub. Free hot, good breakfast with everything else offered and good coffee. Nice lobby, great desk staff and on phone. No downside, will stay definitely stay again.

The hotel front desk staff is awesome! The pool area is perfect for families or to just layout. Breakfast was the best they have a wide variety from fresh fruits, oatmeal, eggs and sausage omg and the waffles

I stayed recently while in town for business. The property was easy to find, well-maintained and the staff very friendly. The breakfast provided for many options and all items were well stocked. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet.

Wonderful , spotless, well designed rooms, great management. Beautiful flower gardens outside rooms. Many fresh choices for breakfast including dairy and gluten free. nice pool, Beautiful park across the street. Close to campus.

The staff is extremely friendly and courteous, which was what made my stay mostly okay. The room: some torn up carpeting, the bed was lumpy, the door did not fit the frame, the bathroom window was disgusting. There were a couple gnats in both my and my co-workers' bathrooms. It looks like there was some remodeling in the bathroom, but the work looked messy. At the price, I was expecting much better quality, but I guess that's CA for you. Breakfast was decent. My second time at a Best Western, will not return unless I hear that they have dumped a whole lot of money into new renovations. As long as you know what quality you're getting, it's one of the cheaper options and there's a microwave and fridge.

Travel for work and the value for staying in that area is well worth it. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Also includes a good breakfast that always ready and quick and easy for in the go. There is also a decent amount for great local and chain food that is within walking distance

When ever I'm in the Santa Clara/San Jose area I always try to book this property, sometimes that can be difficult because they book up quickly, sometimes staying at a hotel that's fully booked (which this tends to frequently be) can be cramped for parking and loud and just not that enjoyable, but not this property, the parking layout is well laid out and the rooms are better insulated and the doors don't slam shut which makes for a quieter stay. I highly recommend this property.

Everything was great. Breakfast was yummy and the room was great. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked good. No issue with parking. Shops and resturants all close by. Breakfast area had plenty of seats. No concerns

We flew to Cali for the National Championship game to support Clemson and what a great trip we had.. very nice hotel and staff.. very clean, great breakfast and great location.. and we came home as national champions again!!

This was a very nice room - everything was clean and comfortable. The only downside (which I mention because it is mentioned interestingly enough in another review from a week before our stay) is that the handle for the shower fell off when my husband was IN the shower! It bounced off his toe and left a huge welt. So beware the shower handles apparently!! We turned it in to the front desk when we checked out, because we tried to screw it back in but it fell out again and does not seem safe. The breakfast was really nice, and they have snacks out all the time.

We found ourselves back in Santa Clara during a holiday road trip, and again stayed here at the BW University Inn. The staff was again friendly and helpful. There was a small bugaboo when we checked into our room and found the shower faucet handle was completely missing. Seems the maintenance person has neglected to finish the job they started. (And at least two other jobs, from what I understand.) But the front desk was able to quickly move us to the room next door. Our sleep was comfortable, breakfast was very good, and the wi-fi worked well. We'll continue to recommend this location.

checked in late and got fast friendly check-in. Room was nicely laid outwith lots of space with king sized bed, fridge microwave and private bath, free wifi in room. Free breakfast provided was excellent with coffeee, juice, cereal, bagels toast etc, waffle maker scraml;ed eggs and sausages . This was a really good value for the money

Great location with numerous options for dining nearby. Very close to Santa Clara University in a nice neighborhood. Nice quality rooms. Exterior doors to the room so noise was a periodic problem with traffic noise outside of the rooms on the walkway. Overall experience was great. Exceptionally friendly staff in all areas!

Needed a good place to stay for a conference in San Jose. Google Maps showed this to be reasonably close (for driving) and that it had a good configuration (interior access after driving in) and plenty of parking (some others seemed iffy on the number of parking slots). The price was much lower than staying within walking distance of the conference so we traded car rental cost for the difference - saving a good amount in the process over 4 days. It turned out to be an excellent decision. The building is off El Camino Real, which makes it very convenient and the area around it seemed fine. There was a Dennys within walking distance, but we didn't use it because the motel had a very good hot breakfast including scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles (make your own), fruit, etc. Seating was not huge, but plenty adequate. My room was a simple 2-bed (queens I think) which was nicely presented, with 4 pillows per bed. The bath is small but fine.Sound insulation seemed OK, except a couple times around 9pm when a family was loud outside. But they quieted down and I had no issues for the 4 nights I was there (little sound from adjacent rooms - though I don't know who was in there).The bed was on the harder side, but was plenty comfy thanks to the linens and blanket structure and the excellent pillows.Finally, the A/C was definitely good. I could easily keep the room comfortable and was able to put the fan in constant-on mode to keep some background white noise - which I do at home too.My colleague's room was similarly good he said, and we agreed we would stay here next time we visit the area.

It's not a bad hotel and is quiet and convenient to a number of places to eat without having to drive. Plenty of parking and the wifi was decent. The breakfast was on the basic side and no variation, but okay.

This was convenient for the airport. Pretty basic room, but cannot complain. Clean, tidy, good size. Bathroom was ok. Breakfast was complimentary and ok. Staff very helpful. Could I cope with staying here again before a flight - yes. Would I stay here otherwise - no. It's fine, but wasn't cheap and I don't want 'ok'.

Unlike most hotels, they require cancellation 26 hours ahead of check-in time, and charge 100% of the charge for cancelling, unlike the usual 50% or less. They don't post the policy or list it on the itinerary, you must hunt for it. This allows them to double charge the room...pure greed.

LightPacker, It sounds like you had difficulty with a reservation you needed to cancel. We never want to cause our travelers problems; our usual cancelation policy is an industry-standard 24 hours (not 26), and we do charge an industry-standard one night's stay for no shows or same-day cancellations. It's a great hotel. It was super quiet. The room was clean, spacious, updated & comfortable. The hotel was close to really close to a bunch of restaurants and the free breakfast was great. We will definitely stay there again.

I strongly recommend Best Western Inn santa clara( 4341 el Camino real)...Stayed for about a month, very good rooms for a good price, daily room cleaning, very friendly and helpful staff, with lots of restaurants at a walkable distance and close to major workplaces....

Nice staff, clean hotel. Marisol in the front desk will take care of you. She will help you with a friendly smile. My disabled sister was very comfortable staying here. Marisol made her feel very welcome. Veronica the breakfast host would greet my sister every morning. Veronica also greeted my sisters teddy bear and told my sister to feed the baby. My sister felt validated because she feeds her teddy bear and made a mess . Veronica stepped in with a smile to help clean up the mess. Marisol and Veronica assitance throughout our five day stay. Made me feel like this was our second home. We felt it was a judgement free zone with Veronica and Marisol with us during the stay. I also appreciate thoughtful housekeeping staff. My family will be coming back here and will stay at other best western hotels if available when we travel.

We had a rocky start to a 5 day vacation in Santa Clara, CA We landed in town with a rental for a house that quickly turned into a disaster and we knew that was not going to work for us! Lucky for us, the manager Edith at the hotel was able to reinstate a reservation we had cancelled and got us in to a comfortable, clean room! This was unexpected as we had called around and all the decent hotels were sold out! Truly made all the difference, we will skip the house rentals in the future and stick to what we know, BW University offers good clean comfortable rooms with great customer service! All you can ask for from a hotel.

Great staff! Great included breakfast and appreciated Grab and Go option for 6:30 AM flight home. Great location with easy walk to many restaurants and shops. Small park nearby and large fountains down the street at Santa Clara City Hall.Easy access to expressways and airport. Enjoyed refreshing pool and used fitness center every day. Refrigerator and microwave in room were very useful too.

Pillows are amazing here! Hotel is clean, staff is kind. We didn't use the pool but it looked pleasant. Recently updated but the room we were in needing the finishing touches completed. Overall it was a nice hotel and if i were ever back in the area would stay there again.

Nice hotel, altough its price its high. Nice and variety breakfast. The rooms have an unusual smell beause the windows cannot be opened. The recepcionist Marisol and Edith were really kind. The situation is perfect if you go to Silicon Valley companies.

Over a nice hotel pool was clean good location a few blocks from both a very large mall and the winchester mystery house. Avrage rooms the only thing that was sub par was the breakfast I would have liked a little more option.

Location is very convenient and relatively quiet. There is a nice park across the street. Hotel has been updated recently, with many improvements, and is quite comfortable. Service is friendly. Breakfast is good, but a little more variety would be appreciated. We stayed for a week, and every day had the same scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Other problems with breakfast: no sugar free syrup for the waffles; tables were not kept clean; and foods were not replenished promptly (or at all).

This hotel has exceptional decor in rooms. Remote control very disappointing. Limited premium channels. Breakfast so so. Nothing healthy available except yogurt. Had to scrape processed cheese off omlet.

I'm getting on in years and have stayed in hundreds of motels. This is one of the best. Although it's an older property, it has been renovated and well maintained. The free breakfast is definitely the best of its kind. The room was large and the bed was superb. The plantings and pool are attractive. The room was set up to suit business travelers staying days or weeks, so there is plenty of storage space and work space. The WiFi was fine. Highly recommended.

Best Westerns are generally a nice hotel in my experience but I really like this Santa Clara University Inn. The location is downtown near all the freeways but you don't hear them and plenty of good places to eat are within walking distance. They even give you a little restaurant recommendation guide at check in too. The breakfast here was really good for free I found it to be the standard for Best Western with more seating room. The hotel was above average in appearance and you can tell they take pride in the buildings and grounds. The pool area was beautiful but I did not have time to take a dip.My room was recently remodeled and very nicely done.The bathroom set up was great, very open and usable. The room had all the things I like, refrigerator, microwave, a very nice coffee bar with large flat screen TV that had a very good selection of channels. I noted an ironing board/iron in the closet. A full length mirror was on the closet doors. The bed was great with a great selection of pillows firm to soft. I love the desk with an office chair which I use in hotels. The AAA price was a good value and I will stay here again. The staff were very nice and helpful.

This was my first time in Santa Clara. I needed a relatively inexpensive yet comfortable and clean hotel near the airport. This Best Western didn't disappoint. The room and bed were both spacious and comfortable. The internet worked perfectly which is something that i don't take for granted at hotels! There was a nice little gym which i used. They also have a pool which i didn't use. The free breakfast was typical fare that you would get at a BW property. It was fine. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the location. It seemed like the area was a wee bit seedy. It didn't matter because i arrived late and left early but i don't think this area is replete with nice cafe's that are in walking distance. But i could be wrong on this. But there is a Denny's close by if that turns your crank!

I was in the area to photograph two rose gardens in San Jose, and this hotel is ideally located to access them. It's not a huge hotel and it's certainly no resort. But it is a shining example of a mid-priced hotel sans restaurant. I found it to be sparkling clean without that patina of dirt in the corners that a lot of hotels accumulate, even some pricy ones. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving me a room even though I arrived late in the morning after a long drive. I was happy with the work space and the internet access. I was also very pleased with the one page pamphlet of recommended restaurants. Microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig style coffee machine are in the room. No lines. Friendly and efficient. Highly Recommended.

Stayed here for 1 night after driving from Monterey to the Big Sur before then flying to Las Vegas from SJC. Ideal location and perfect for a 1 night stop-over. More of a lodge than a hotel but absolutely met our needs. The buffet breakfast was cheap and cheerful but certainly did the job (especially as included in the rate).

After 2 days of activity for my grandchilds first birthday myself and other daughter needed a good nights rest and some quiet This Best Western is about 5 blocks from her home and was just one of the beautiful things we needed to get away and recharge The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect not just for convenience to her home but to many other shops etc in the area I would recommend this best western to anyone business traveler, or just for fun

Stayed w/ our family while visiting SCU. Our 2nd floor room was quiet, huge, w/ plenty of room to spread out and lounge. Helpful staff at lobby. Newly refurbished w/ high quality furnishings. I'd recommend requesting a room away from El Camino Real if you're a light sleeper. The outdoor areas need some landscaping...once you leave your room you're basically standing in a giant parking lot. Pool looked lovely but was not heated, so basically no pool. No hot tub. Will happily stay again, though.

Santa Clara Best Western University Inn was the perfect place to stay when I flew into town to help my son. Everything worked, everything was easy (breakfast, wifi, parking). I appreciated the friendly staff at the front desk. As a result, I could just focus on helping my son during the day and relaxing at night.

The hotel is nice for a US motel standard. The rooms are newly renovated. The worst thing is probably the bathroom. The breakfast is good for motel standards, but ok for hotel standards. It is close to the university and well located with shops and restaurants around.

We were here for a conference and chose this hotel over the one chosen by the conference in order to have free breakfast. I'm so glad we did! The breakfast is great, BTW, the room and all amenities fine, and a bed so good I took a picture of its tag so I can buy one for home. Marisol checked us in and remembered our names, and made sure we got the extra luggage rack we needed. She made this feel like a five star celebrity hotel! The hotel has a huge parking lot so if you have a big rig call them and see if they will let you park, a truck with U Haul was there when we arrived. Not all upstairs rooms are easily accessible with the elevator so ask for ground floor if you have mobility issues. Bathtub/shower was slippery, I did not ask for a rubber mat, but used a hand towel in the bottom, a trick recommended to me at another hotel. Everything else fine. K Cup coffee maker in room if you want to bring your own.

Each of rooms does have an anti-slip mat, but they're usually rolled up in the vanity area. We look forward to hosting you on your next trip - and isn't Marisol so great?!

We enjoyed another great stay here during a holiday road trip. The staff continue to be outstanding. On this trip, we turned on the TV to find that a previous guest had changed the input away from where it should have been. I couldn't find the input switch on the television, so I visited the front desk. The staffer immediately came to our room and figured out the problem. Can't ask for anything more than that. We again utilized the laundry facility, which came in very handy. There are also plenty of restaurants not far away. The breakfast setup was just OK, but that's a minor quibble. All in all, very pleased again with our stay here.

Reasonable priced motel with completed motel services. If was littel far from most of the high tech corps. If your trip was not a business visiting, but a signseeing (if "on sight" location was not essential), it will be a good choice. It is easy to reach highway 880 and highway 1 to dirve to Santa Cluz and continue to dirve to Monterrey Bay and Carmel if you have a car. It takes 30 minites or 1 hour driving.

The room was nice, it was for the most part very clean and smelled good. The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean and bright (white), the pillows... well those are a personal preference. I would recommend a stay here if you were in Santa Clara, CA.

Always my choice when I visit San Jose. My home away from home. Everything you need in a hotel experience!!! If your looking for a quiet place that offers great personal service at a good compatible rate then this is the place!!!

This appears to be an older hotel, but there has been extensive renovation done on the inside. The rooms have small bathrooms, but are otherwise very attractive. Internet connectivity is superb. Hotel staff was helpful

Great place and very convenient location for all our destinations in and about San Jose area. Will definitely stay there again on multiple time per year trips to San Jose, can strongly recommend as a location to stay in San Jose area.

Check-in on line was a breeze. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the shower water was nice and hot. Unfortunately, we could hear the kids running outside. The motel was clean and good looking. I would stay here again.

I had to modify my reservation a few days before arrival over the phone and the front desk response was professional. Upon arrival late at night, the check-in was quick and directions to the room perfect. The property is "motel style", but the rooms are updated, clean, secure, and quiet. The property is easy to get to and 15 minutes to/from San Jose airport. The breakfast area is clean and the food selection was good. Internet speed was excellent. Check-out was easy. The only issue I had was the room AC unit had a bit of a rattle.

This is the third time we have stayed at this Best Western and have each time enjoyed our stay. Very close to many area attractions. The rooms are well designed and the exterior is very clean. There are nearby shopping centers and a Denny's within walking distance. The breakfast is great with many different selections.

Drove 13 hours to get to the game and was very tired. There was no roll away bed as advertised but was upgraded to a bigger room. Breakfast was not so good but good location to Levi's stadium. Close to other restaurants.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting a family member who attends Stanford University. This is a really nice hotel. Our room looked newly remodeled. New decorating, paint, tile, tv, comfortable beds. Refrigerator and microwave worked great. The entire grounds seemed clean and well maintained. Friendly staff always talkative and pleasant. The breakfast was fantastic. I looked forward to it everyday. Everything you could want, make your own waffles, freshly made scrambled eggs, and much more. Right across the street is Saint Clare monument and garden. Would definitely stay here again. Enjoyed our stay.

We travel to a lot of hotels in California and this is one of the best. The décor was beautiful throughout, the breakfast selection was out of this world delicious and the location was perfect. Definitely not disappointed with anything BW had to offer.

Nice hotel on a main street in Santa Clara. University not too far away. We did a late check in after flying in from Burbank. Room was reserved and waiting for us. Family had an enjoyable stay here. We will be back.

Being a BW Member, I've stayed at dozens of properties all over the states. That being said, this was by far the best hotel in BW's chain. I stayed 5 nights and I could have stayed longer to be honest. The interior decor is remarkably clean, new and chic. Beautiful room and very comfortable bed; giving a Yosemite Cabin-feel. The staff was awesome. Always there with a chipper smile. Breakfast was pretty good (although I didn't partake in it everyday). There's a washer/dryer, vending machine of soda/waters, ice, this hotel truly a job well-done. I don't have complaints if I'm being honest. The linen, bathroom, floors - everything clean head 2 toe. Housekeeping was terrific and even the location is superior. I highly recommend this property, but be careful as they book out fast!

We have stayed at this hotel many times while visiting our daughter who is attending university in Santa Clara. We tried a number of other properties in the area, but we always come back to the Best Western University Inn Santa Clara. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always go out of their way to attend to guests, and to make sure that the guest experience is top notch. Dave and Edith at the front desk head an all-star cast of service providers. The rooms are very comfortable and always clean as a whistle.

Convenient location: easy to get to San Jose Airport, SJ Rose Garden, Santa Clara University, Stanford University and Art Museum, Valley Fair Shopping Mall, Santana Row, etc. Friendly and welcoming staff at reception, good full breakfast, nice and quiet room, and comfortable bed.

Excellent service, excellent employees, excellent rooms very big and clean, great breakfast spread. Something for everyone to enjoy! We would recommend this location and many more to our friends and family in the future.

Check was great and easy. Got information on where to eat. I rented two rooms and both were well kept. Very comfortable. Hotel itself was nice and clean. Outside was well kept. Pool was very nice and the grandkids and I enjoyed playing and sunbathing. Breakfast was great and had all we needed. Several places to eat were close. Easy 1/4 mile walk.

Great value. Close to work. ONLY complaint is that I wish the doors had better seals under the doors at the thresholds. Some sound gets in but not so much I couldn't sleep. Will stay here again for sure.

This Best Western Property should be a Best Western Plus Hotel, I have stayed at many Plus properties in the past that were not nearly this nice. The management and staff are outstanding and the rooms, spotless. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Newly remodeled rooms with very tasteful decor. Comfortable bed, quiet, good internet. Breakfast was fine - the usual assortment, but I have to say that the oatmeal was really very good. Would definitely stay here again!

By far the best bang for your buck in this area of town. Newer rooms, quiet, close to loads of places to eat and a short 5 min drive to the airport (SJC). The staff are super friendly. Again the price is great for this area other similar priced hotels in the area are much older and run down.

I reserved a handicap room for September 14th. I am on 50% weight bearing due to a fractured femur. We were in Santa Clara for a family funeral. We dropped our bags in the room and left without looking at the bathroom. The room was on the ground floor and did have any stairs to climb. The hotel was having the palm trees pruned and tree cuttings were everywhere. We returned late that night we noticed that the hotel door did not have any insulation and the workmen had blown tree cuttings and leaves into the room. When I tried to enter the bathroom, the door was so small my walker would barely fit. I decided that we would be better off staying in the room that night. For the services the next day I did not take a shower since my knee did bend high enough to clear the tub. I went to the office and told the lady about the room and she just said she was sorry. My reservation was made for a Roll in SHOWER, not a bathtub. We paid $227.48 for the handicap room for one night that was NOT a handicap room. I was so upset that I went out to get breakfast and did not eat at the hotel.

Stayed here when dropping my daughter off at college. The hotel is conveniently located near Santa Clara but it's on a busy street. However it was still pretty quiet. The room was clean but a little dark and smelled slightly of air conditioning and disinfectant. The pool was clean and had very nice furniture around it, and there was a nice patio set near our room I sat on in the evening to do work. Breakfast was decent and we saved a lot of time and money eating there. The fitness center was small but clean. I will likely stay here again.

The check Iady was great! So nice. We only stayed one night but all seemed great! They have workout room thats good. The pool was nice . Its location was good right by college. Best western is very reliable chain

Due to the uneven flooring outside the rooms on the second level the cart used by the cleaning services consistently produced very loud, train like, rumbling. Do to the nature of my business I was sleeping in the days. Otherwise it was an ok stay!

I haven't stayed in a Best Western in years and my recollection of them was that they were only so so in quality and service. But this experience was a very positive one, from the lobby checkin, the size/quality & room decor, to the breakfast and checkout. If this is typical of all Best Western Hotels then I will choose it again.

Thank you to the employees. It was such a great experience we even stayed an extra night. We loved the internet beibg available in our rooms. We loved the fitness room. The cleanliness of the rooms were very much noticed.

It was pretty good for that area. The Room was Clean and comfortable. They offer also breakfast. Parking is inside. Strategic position. Only one complain: the air conditioner in the room was to much noise.

Very pricey, with tax a little less than $200 a night. Breakfast was OK, nothing special, room was fine. No problem with the property. Employees were courteous. Location was fine, relatively close to Santa Clara University.

At check-in, Edith was very helpful, spending extra time to find a room with two queens to replace our reserved one king bed room. They were sold out a couple of the nights during our stay, so she had to finagle to make the switch. The breakfasts were decent with a decent selection of eggs, cereal, waffles, bagels, and yogurt. Our room were clean, comfortable, and reasonably quiet. We were there 9 nights while our hardwood floors were refinished.

I attended a wedding at the Mission of Santa Clara de Asis and this location was perfect to access the University of Santa Clara campus. The pool was a lovely bonus during quiet times to enjoy the sun. The breakfast was more robust than I would have expected.

We spent 3 nights there, 2 adults and 2 children aged 17 and 11. The room had 2 double beds which was ok but the sink was also in the room, which doesn't give much privacy. Very small bathroom, dark room with a small window. It's a good location if you want to drive around Santa Clara. Too expensive though. For this price you get a hotel in the heart of Paris!

It seems that in this area it is impossible to find a good hotel at an affordable price, but USD 250 per night for this motel type hotel is too much. The rooms are big and provide what you need, but the balcony style access is a problem as people tend to use them as extensions of their rooms, and that is very noisy for other guests. Pool area is very nice, and a definite plus, even for sitting and working as it provided real tables and chairs under nice big umbrellas. The breakfast is actually OK, but it could be nicer in the layout, and seating is not very nice, and certainly not enough for this size of property.

Above and beyond excellent When you need a place to stay the night, this Best Western is the Best as the title says. Excellent amenities, soda machine, ice and a breakfast to compare to an "A" rated restaurant!

My family and I decided to stay overnight in a hotel for family night. We enjoyed the city and has a great time. We were looking for a hotel that's not expensive and within our budget limit. We checked Best Western hotel since we had great experience staying with them during our family road trip last month in Oregon. So we tried Best Western University Inn Santa Clara. We are so pleased with their service from check in to check out. Checkin experience was great. Information was given like internet password; swimming pool information; express checkout was offered; breakfast info included. Our room is cleaned. Towels and amenities are good for four. We did not have to call guest services for extra towels. Bathroom is in small but clean and all utilities functions very well. Parking is not a problem. Great parking spaces and felt safe. Breakfast is good; not much have selection for vegans but kids enjoyed the parties. However, there was a sign that requests can be made for gluten free and vegetarian breakfast. Check out is the easiest! Express checkout :) Thanks Best Western!

Very disappointed hotel stay. Misleading booking. and Lack of honesty and integrity of management and his response to concerns. Gavin McClements, CHA General Manager of Best Western University Inn Santa Clara on 1655 El Camino Real Santa Clara, Ca 95050 gave a condescending and inappropriate response to my concerns. I made three attempts on three different days to talk to the general manager about a rate and price that was different during booking. We arrived at 1:30 in the morning and was given a rate that worth $50 more than what was disclosed. After questioning the reception at the general manager will help resolve the issue. Not only were they unprofessional, the motel was substandard for the rate of 250 a night. We will never stay in a best Western again

That being said, as I stated earlier, we are actually very transparent with our pricing - our rates can be found on every major travel website, and they are all consistent with one another. In addition, we present pricing to every guest at check-in; there is no cloak-and-dagger bait-and-switch here. What you signed for is what you were charged, nothing more, nothing less. We know you always have a choice when staying in a town away from home; playing games doesn't do any of us any good. We wish you the best in your future travels.

Our room was decent size, fairly recently ungraded, clean and good bang for the buck. The grounds were nicely cared for and the staff was friendly. The elevator to the sending floor was a big help with luggage. We plan to stay again in the near future.

This is a 2 story hotel with a pool and gym. Parking is free. Its a very clean hotel and looks fairly new. Only issue I had was we couldn't connect to WiFi with Mac phones and iPads. Worked with android phones. Tech support couldn't figure it out. Breakfast was standard BW stuff.

Best Western Santa Clara was the best hotel stay ever. The employees are very professional and friendly. The rooms are a good size and immaculate The hotel is in excellent conditions with up to date nice furniture in rooms. They have a nice pool, elevator, weight room and they serve breakfast. I forgot my jacket and the staff notified me immediately and shipped to me. I highly recommend this hotel to all..

The room had a very strong bad smell and had an ant problem. Also the shower would not drain which was gross. The breakfast food was stale and some had mold on it. This place was way overpriced for all the problems it had.

Overall nice facility. Just service needs improvement. A staff seemed upset that I requested some fresh towels. They start putting the breakfast away before the actual end time. Another staff turned off TV in the common area that I was watching, without asking me.

Terrible service from management, front desk personnel needs more training, specially manager, they make you feel like they don't know what they are doing, look out for unexpected change of price on your room, in my case went double from one day to the next! DOUBLE!!

Yes, our rates are variable from day to day. This is standard practice, and we are well advertised online; our rates are never a secret. Being that we are in a heavily commercial area with primetime being midweek business travel, our rates do go up from what they were on the weekend. We certainly apologize that this caught you off guard.

This is a very nice Best Western, perfect location for attending our grand daughter's graduation and ultimately family reunion. Past reviews are true, staffs here are super friendly starting from walking in to their beautiful lobby, they will greet you with genuine smile and welcomed you. This is the 5th Best Western we've been to, and my family agreed that this is the best Best Western we stayed with no issues at all. Grand kids enjoyed the pool and the 24 hours beverages served and provided to all their guests. Good Restaurants around this hotel, shopping malls are easy to find, gas stations, banks, catholic church, coffee house. We'll stay again when we come back to explore this side of California.

Hotel was close to the University. Area was quiet and right next to the civic center. Plenty of parking, comfortable beds, great breakfast with lots of choices. Nice pool with shade and tables. Would stay here again.

First time staying here. Pleasantly surprised. Helpful and professional staff. Clean, quiet rooms (2). Comfortablebed. Nice decor too. Air conditioner not too noisy... would recommend and would stay here again!

I enjoyed my 6 nights stay in this location, no hassle. The staffs in this Best Western lead by Edith at the front desk are extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. I am an elderly woman visiting my son in Santa Clara area and the staffs here made sure that I am comfortable and feel at home and secured. Front Desk staffs, housekeeping and dining attendants are awesome! I also appreciate their on site laundry facility it really helps me not taking my dirty clothes to my son's house. Breakfast are just ok, just wish they have alternate breakfast menu, if you're staying for 2 nights that will be just right, but I stayed 6 nights and they served the same items everyday and this is the only flaw that I've seen. Other than that this location will still be my new favorite as you can't go wrong in this Best Western, many restaurants to choose from within walking distance, Target, Sprouts, Smart and Final, Banks, and a good nail salon next door to this Best Western. And oh by the way, I want to thank them for making me a member of their loyalty program, I just received my first $60 worth of travel cards, plus I already earned my points from my stay with them. Best Western is currently having the Summer promotion, so if I were you, do yourself a favor and join their loyalty program you will not regret that you join them. So far this is the best Best Western that I ever been and will stay again when I come back to visit my son in December. Thank you Best Western University Inn Santa Clara!

This facility is incredibly clean with the friendliest staff of any hotel I've stayed in. It compares to the type of service you would expect from a bed and breakfast inn. They are great people who genuinely care about their guests.

My daughter an I went to u2 concert in Santa Clara. Enjoyed the stay. Looked to be recently updated. Bed was great. Air conditioner was working beautifully. Breakfast was really good. Pleased with stay.

The location was great! Room was beautiful and the pool was beautiful. Wish we had thought to bring a swimsuit. The front office was very helpful. We needed to leave early but even so they let us have a fresh cup of coffee for the road. Overall a great place to stay!

Stayed here for 2 nights in early May for a business trips. One of the very few places that had reasonable (~$200) rates. Every other place seemed to have jacked up their prices becasue of corporate travel and what not. Efficient check-in. Room was spacious and functional. One odd feature was the location of the sink, which was right next to the room door and outside the bathroom. Breakfast was OK. Location is good with easy highway access and tons of eating joints up and down El Camino. Overall, a decent option for a few nights.

The insulation between the two floors was not very good, the person above our room was pacing, stomping and loud, it took me a while to fall asleep, plus my room was next to the service room, noisy!!!

Location was quite good; near the Intel Museum, and walking distance to Santa Clara University; very adequate breakfast w/ hot eggs/potatoes/sausage & usual beverages, fruit & pastry items. Nice separate work out room (would recommend 24 hr use since it is not next to a hotel room). Free parking, & nicely landscaped. Older style motel, remodeled a few years ago; nice amenities; slight musty odor in our room. Great Staff!!

The team here was great! I needed to stay 2 nights but every where was completely booked for the second night. They kept on top of the cancelations and conctacted me as soon as a room was available. No stress! Great customer service!

Everyone was great and helpful. The lobby was very clean and modern looking and the rooms were very well maintained. They have good tv's in the room with a good work station or desk. Breakfast was great!!!

I live near this BW and go by it all the time. i had a chance to stay one night. The moment I walked into the lobby, I realized this was one of the nicest BW I had stayed in. My room was very comfortable and nicely appointed furniture. When a room includes a side chair that I can sink in with lamp for comfortable reading, that features always get a good vote from me. The only done side I would say is that the outside walls are thin. I could hear some cough outside in the hall as clear as if he was in my room. Other than that, this BW is really nice.

This hotel is very clean, great staff, reasonably price and is in a centralized location for dinning and access to the freeways. I was here for work but I would also stay here for pleasure. This is my new go to place to stay!

Nice hotel with clean and upgraded rooms. The breakfast was very convenient with a good selection. It would have been nice if the room were a little larger. Staff was very friendly. Hotel is conveniently located to nearby food and shops.

The hotel was clean, and comfy. Breakfast was good! Good value.... Thank you! Only complaint which has nothing to do with hotel at all... is there is not a lot to do around there. Especially in the evening. There are some resturants nearby and a mall, but that's about it... If you have a car then matter you can go anywhere, but no car options are pretty limited.

Having a car in our area is always a benefit for getting around for entertainment (this is a commercial district for sure), but at least we have good restaurants and shopping within walking distance. I've stay at places with less, for sure!

Very nice cozy hotel, but needs a less firm beds and pillows in order to have a very good night sleep. Breakfast was excellent including small omelets, fresh fruit salad, and good coffee. Everything else was fine.

The Good: Friendly staff, nice breakfast, convenient location. The Bad: Bathroom has a strong odor. It is probably due to poor venting. Thin walls. You could hear everything in the hall way and other people's showers.

This hotel was convenient to where my husband needed to go for an appointment. It is on the Main street (El Camino Real) in Santa Clara and not far from lots of attractions in the area. The neighborhood is good. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants, etc. Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

More like a motel with doors leading to parking place. Room was spacious but had to keep shades on because people were walking past the window. Wardrobe was a bit smelly and shower was low on pressure but otherwise the room was great. Big bed and nice selection of TV channels. Good breakfast except for the lack of vegetables, ham and cheese to put on bread. Had fresh fruits though.

Great experience all around - Staff, Property, Location and Security. The staff makes it so worthwhile since they are helpful, friendly and make an extra effort for guests to feel at home during stays at the hotel. The property is kept up to date and very clean, whether it is the landscaping and grounds or the rooms and facilities. The breakfast is generous and the quality is consistant

I visited my employer's Head Office in Santa Clara and stayed at this hotel for nine days. Check-in time is 3 pm and they did not have a room ready when I showed up at 11:30 am. My fault, so I did not mind waiting about 30 min for the room to be ready for me by 12 noon. Had some coffee in the breakfast area and caught up with my inbox. Staff is very friendly and I appreciated that they got the room ready for early check-in. Hotel rates are reasonable and represents good value because it includes free parking and breakfast. Rooms are spacious and clean, although I agree with other reviewers on two drawbacks: 1. Bathroom is quite small 2. the rooms open directly to the outside, so there is a safety concern as also that you always seem bring in some dirt from outside. 3. Half the closet space is taken up by the ironing board Bed was clean and pillows are firm, unlike the mushy pillows found in so many hotels which makes sleep impossible. Wifi is reliable and consistent - did not experience and signal drops. Download speeds averaged 106 mbps and upload 23 mbps. Distance to hotel from SFO airport is 34 miles and Uber costs $55; Yellow cab is $100 and shared ride taxi is $70. Distance from San Jose Airport is 3 miles and Uber fare is $6.50. Uber Pool is freely available from the hotel and never had to wait more than 7 min - I used it daily as commute to and from the office. My office is 4.2 miles from the hotel and Uber fare was $6 on average per trip. Finding the room was easy compared to some other hotels. The room was very clean, attractive, comfortable and had all the amenities needed for a long stay: - ironing board and iron - luggage stand - Coffee maker is the old style with the filter funnel, drip coffee and glass carafe. - small microwave - small refrigerator Location is super convenient with numerous restaurants, shopping, banks etc. within walking distance. There are two Indian restaurants within a 5 min walking distance and two Indian grocery stores within a 10 min walking distance from the hotel. Unlike some other Best Western locations have seen, this one seems to be in a safe neighborhood. The Santa Clara Town Center that has a Target department store, Boston Market, Chipotle, Panera etc. is 7 min walk. Several fast food joints - McD's, KFC, Denny's etc are 5 min walk away. Largest shopping mall in San Jose is 10 min by car. On-site laundry is very convenient; costs $1.50 in quarters for each washer/ dryer cycle. You can get change from the front desk and they even give you free pouch of single use Tide! Wifi works in the laundry room so one can get some work done while waiting. Breakfast is between 6-10 am. It is functional with paper plates and plastic cutlery. Consisted of bread (bagel/toast/muffin), yogurt, fruit with coffee, cereals/ granola, cold boiled eggs and juices. Hot items included waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage links etc. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Chose the hotel because it was reasonably priced versus other listed hotels close to the conference center. The rooms were clean and well kept- but they are outside entrances which I'm not crazy about from a general safety standpoint. However, the location of the hotel seemed to be in a safe area. It's about a 10-15 minute ride to the conference center- and about $10-15 Uber cost. The breakfast was a nice buffet- and was well stocked by the friendly staff.

We moved here from another hotel in the area that was noisy and seemed shady. This hotel was clean and quieter. Even though on a busy street, the rooms are back off the street and protected from noise. The bathroom is small. The drain didn't close in mine, for those who like a tub.

Stayed for five days, good breakfast, friendly staff. There is a refrigerator , microwave, lots of channels to choose from a pool with handicap accessibility, my only complaint was the sheets were not changed the entire time. Other than that it was a very nice stay.

Loved this place!! Location, room, cleanliness, all perfect for a business stay. There are endless places to eat in the area. The staff are all polite and look like they enjoy their jobs. The pool and exercise room were well kept. Breakfast was great; options for all eaters. The room was modern and spotless. Love that they clean the tv remote! It's all in the details. As a female traveling alone, I felt very safe. The bed and bedding were very comfortable.

This is definitely my favorite hotel in the area. The front desk staff are all wonderful and so very helpful. The breakfast selection is very good, and it is stocked often. The fact that it is about a block away from a small shopping center with a Target and a Walgreens is a bonus!

Clean, adequate space, friendly service at front desk, accommodating. Pleasant and great for the moderate price. Very good breakfast. Need to prepare your own toast etc. Good coffee. Quite environment even though its on a main road.

Fairly pricey. The room was pretty, but the bathroom cramped. The pool was a nice set-up with a bathroom- no showers or heat. Breakfast was nice. Santa Clara was only a short drive to San Jose which our family loves. We were able to easily go visit the Tech and explore downtown.

I stayed in Best Western the week of August the 15th for studies and honestly I expected my experience to be as great as the first one but it wasn't. I don't why but they assigned me a room for disabled guests so taking a shower was really uncomfortable for me since I am not used to use this kind of bathrooms, I left the floor wet many times, the handwasher was closer to the floor too. Since this room was very close of the street and under the storage room, every night I heard a noise coming from above. I didn't make any complaint since I am not the kind of guest who complaints and also I was more worried about my lugagge which AA lost by mistake, fortunately a couple of days later it arrived. Marisol from the front desk as always she was very kind and she even called me when my lugagge was back, the rest of the staff is good too, but as I said I don't know why they assigned me a so uncomfortable room for me. I thought they would remember me as a returning guest but apparently they didn't.

Occasionally reservations come in from third party sites like Expedia with one of our ADA rooms requested - since the reservation came from the outside, we often cannot question the assignment. I don't know if this was your case, but we'll do our best to get it all right for you next time!

This part of Santa Clara used to be a little run down, but it looks like the city has been cleaning things up on El Camino. In particular, this hotel used to be pretty run down (maybe 7 years ago), but it's been nicely renovated and I felt completely safe staying here. It also helps that there is a new shopping center down the street, along with new restaurants.

I stayed for one night and the hotel provided excellent service. I shared a room with a friend and they were able to provide me an extra bed. The bed was still comfortable even though it folded and I did not have a problem sleeping at all.

The motel-style inns by Best Western vary in quality. I liked this one. It is well designed, well kept and relatively new. It looks friendly. The pool is nice. Many rooms have windows at the rear side, so you can get some fresh air through the room. The road has many little shops and food is easy to come by. Because of the municipal centre on the neighbouring block, it is a quiet place especially in the evenings and weekends. The down town area can be easily reached by foot.

This hotel was one of the best I have stayed at. Very nice and new feeling. Best breakfast with fresh fruit everyday and a lot to choose from. The people at the front desk are very friendly. The only thing I would suggest is adjustable shower heads with different spray settings. The one in the room was just a light spray and I prefer a little more pressure.

Checked a number of properties in the area as I had an early morning business meeting. Most were extremely expensive or not in proiximity. They not only had the best rate but the staff was very accomodating, room was clean and quiet, and I was able to get a good night's sleep + a good breakfast at an early hour.

This hotel is a little gem - close to the university, and easy to find (not too far off a major freeway. It is on a busy road but is surprisingly quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, and both the hotel and room decor were pleasant. A short but enjoyable stay.

I was surprised to see how nice this property was. It must have been recently renovated as it looked great when we were there in July 2016. Room was clean with a mini fridge and a microwave which was a bonus. There is a salt water outdoor pool which is not heated (at least while we were there). Free parking is available close to your room as it is a drive-up type of Motel configuration. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cost of the room was expensive (about $300 Canadian per night), but that seems to be the going rate.

The outside esthetics of this place is very nice which is one reason I decided to stay there. The staff was pleasant. Offered warm breakfast (not just a continental). The room was very clean and nice. This hotel had reachable plugs next to the bed to plug in your phone( many hotels don't have that).. They even have a lift next to the pool for any handicap person to go into the pool. That is fantastic.! Best place I stayed during my entire travel.

This hotel is nothing fancy, but we just needed a place to sleep, shower, and relax for a couple nights while visiting the area. The staff first upgraded us to a suite with two queen beds, which was a pleasant surprise. The place was a little dated, especially the bathroom. The bathroom did not have a lot of space for items, my only frustration. Again, for a short trip, this place was comfortable and clean, exactly what we needed. The cost was reasonable. in addition, there is a fitness center, laundry, pool, and all added amenities a family could need. Free breakfast was your usual: waffles, cereal, eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, toast, danish, coffee, tea,and juice. Nothing fancy but nice selection nonetheless. The dining area was small, which could be a problem if the hotel is full. It was not while we were there.

Not fancy, but very comfortable and welcoming. Very close to restaurants and the University. Surrounding traffic is not as hectic as other locations we have stayed. About 15 minutes to airport (very traffic dependent). Has the old-fashioned design of two stories with outside entrances and you park at the door. However, lobby and breakfast area are not crowded and the food is good with wide variety. Friendly front desk. Room was always clean (we stayed for a week) and shampoo, etc, was always stocked. Just can't beat the location if going to the University area.

The hotel is, like many, of the style that have an open walkway that is accessible to all. The window to the room is next to the door so you may spend much of your time there with the curtains drawn to maintain some privacy. During my stay the parking lot was often taken up with a lot of trucks that barely fit into the parking bay. This might be due to the lower room rate? The pool is in the middle of the parking lot and is open air, so can be chilly. Hotel staff are all friendly and no restrictions seem to exist if you want to print out any paperwork. The breakfast is similar to most hotels in the group, some small sausages and scrambled egg. This time the egg had something like onion in it which made a pleasant difference. No apple juice but Orange or Cranberry Juice is available. No sign of restaurants within walking distance but nothing the hotel can do about that. There are plenty of decent places within a 5 mile drive. I'd stay here again.

We arrived around 11pm and the clerk was friendly to check us in. He indicated "parking is over there and park wherever" That was a red flag as parking lot is tiny! Barely found a small space to park. Went to bed around midnight and had difficulty falling asleep. As I laid in bed, I could hear folks to the left of us in full on conversation and they finally said good night and two of them left that room. I am assuming that couple occupied the room next to us (on the right) as I could hear them having sex! I went on for 30-45 min and finally they were done, it was THEN quiet enough to sleep.

You must know that all this area & the silicon valley is just ungodly pricey ! You paying for the realestate ! So this place is neat and clean . Nice lobby , a bit small . Easy & friendly check in . On a busy street but fairly quiet . Many eating places within walking distance , many indian eateries if that is your thing . Rooms are clean and fairly modern . Continental breakfast was average . Good coffee I will add . Pricey though , again it is just the area . Friendly staff , had no problems . I would return again given the opportunity .

The hotel is newly renovated. The location is GREAT! The breakfast is just amazing! I used the gym and the pool, and really clean. There are a lot of Asian restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. The bedroom was super comfy

The staff made us feel welcomed from upon arrival. Lobby-parking area-room was very clean. Breakfast was very organized and in a presentable clean area.. very inviting for breakfast. Great for families or couples or if you are by yourself. Very impressive location will return again if flying out of San Jose again!

If you are women staying at this hotel I would recommend staying on the second floor since you will be away from all the foot traffic. I would also recommend that you bring your own shampoo since the hotel travel shampoo isn't all that great. Overall its a good option for business travel. My room was exceptionally clean. Besides the shampoo, the only other complaint is the lack of restaurants close by. I had to drive to a restaurant for dinner.

Everything was clean, neat, nice, etc. Best Western and especially Best Wstern Plus & Premier rarely disapoint me. I've stayed at this property a few times and will again. As you can expect the free breakfast and fitness center are "fine" but you may prefer a restaurant or health club. Santa Clara and most of the bay area is pretty expensive so you aren't going to find anything better than this (or as good) without paying a good deal more.

We were in Room 19. Clean and recently renovated. My husband smelled what he described as a musty or urine smell, especially in the morning after using the A/C all night. Not so much of an issue with me. Breakfast was outstanding.

Great stay. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds and remodeled hotel. Good choice of foods for breakfast that included eggs, sausages, potatoes, pastries, waffles, fruits, oatmeal, cereals along with juices, coffee, milk, tea and hot chocolate.

We needed a place to stay near California Great America in Santa Clara, so we chose the Best Western University Inn. We are familiar with the BW hotels and have always had a good experience staying at them. The room was nicely decorated and clean. The included breakfast was really great and saved quite a bit of money. Make-your-own waffles, eggs, sausage, juices, cereals, etc. and all very good. All in all it was a good place to stay if you need to be in the area.

Excellent place to call home when you are on the road! They try to meet every need, and the place is clean and quiet! The breakfast is ready to go at 6 AM, so if you need to get moving early they are ready for you!!

Nice, clean, and stylish rooms. Comfortable beds as usual with the Best Westerns. Pool does not feel heated but its still nice. Great location with restaurants and stores near by. I requested downstairs and they accomodated that.

The Best Western University Inn is a nice hotel near San Jose airport and the University of Santa Clara. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Linens were very clean. The hotel offers breakfast which had pkenty of choices. Will definitely come back to stay.

In town for a business meeting. The room was clean and quiet and modern. There are several places nearby for food and shopping. It was also very close to San Jose Airport, A perfect place at a fair price.

The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean. Breakfast has a decent selection, although it was the same for all four days I stayed here. However, at $230+ per night, I was surprised I was staying at a motel, with all rooms directly accessible from the parking lot (no inside hallways). Also, there were numerous DirecTV vans in the parking lot during my stay, and you can hear them beeping often (I think when they're reversing).

We found this place by accident, and really needed a place bad because my husband was in pain, and was going to Palo Alto VA the next day. The check-in lady was so nice and gave us the handicap room. Everything was great except a man worked on his vehicle outside our room for hours during the middle of the night.

I was not able to gain points with my Best Western Rewards card but staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and always warm. My first 2 days were at one rate and the 3rd day that was unexpected stay was at a much higher rate.

Many amenities, and clean updated rooms. Great location as well. I would recommend to others and plan to return if I am in the area. Quiet area with shopping and food nearby. Breakfast in the morning and free internet service.

We always stay at this Best Western. All of the staff are wonderful and committed to great customer service. This time we accidentally booked at another property and realized it when we checked in and Dave could not find our reservation. Even though they only had one room left, we were able to book it with Dave P at the front desk. The other property graciously accepted our cancellation.

The staff was so pleasant and helpful, the breakfast outstanding! Much better than the Hilton we experienced on the same trip. Even the laundry facilities were great with free soap! Don't let the old style motel set up defer you, this place is quality lodging. The value is amazing.

We arrived late, late(12:30 a.m.) and stayed 3 nights! Updated room was warm and comfortable! The staff, no matter what time of day, were courteous and helpful. The grounds were tip top clean and the street, though a main thoroughfare was relatively quiet! And we slept on the street side! A definite "return to" Best Western!

everything went good. Nothing to complain. Breakfast was excellent. If I have to notice 1 thing, the parking is so crown at night when I come back at 11:00 pm(I have to park along side the pool. I think I would recommend others to the hotel.

We stay here when visiting our son at school. This is the best best western, situated protected from the street. There is one front desk gal, Marisol who is a definite asset to the the business. I have had a problem that she so sweetly and intently solved in the past. I have sat at the computer nearby and listened to her interaction with the costumers, not always nice, some very demanding and I was wowed with her ability to stay so sweet and give phenomenal costumer service. Again this trip I was so happy to see her greeting us at the front desk again with the best service. Thank you best western and Marisol. I look forward to our next visit.

A very nice hotel with regional assigned pricing as locality dictates. Breakfast selections limited to eggs, sausage, potatoes five days in a row. Towels replaced every day vice advertised reuse to save the planet, not to green but oh well.

Stayed here a couple nights for business . Very nice rooms. Beautiful Bathroom ,Quit, great staff. Good breakfast . I ordered a pizza off the menu in the room. $18.99 when they brought it to my room it was $31.00. I should have sent it back but it was late and I was hungry. Was in the bathroom most of the night with food poisoning..... Other then that it was a great hotel .

This was a really nice place to lay your head for the night. The room is big, clean and had nice decor. The room looked modern without being overdone. The bed was comfortable too. The noise from the outside is minimal and the AC/heater worked well. Quite and responsive to the thermostat. I'd say the nicest part was the breakfast. The eggs were not runny and the sausage and potatoes had a lot of flavor. Worth the stay for sure!

I understand that franchises have the right to do what they want. It would be helpful to know their rules before making a reservation and checking in. I made a reservation with one credit card with the intent to use a different credit card upon checking in. I received a phone call around 4pm, the day of arrival, telling me that if I didn't give a different card and call back within 15 minutes the room would be cancelled. I never heard of such a thing. I called back, gave a different card. The person I spoke to got a pre-authorization on the card. I explained that I never heard of this procedure. I was given a rushed and rude explanation on the phone. Since I didn't have time to find another hotel, I stuck with this place. Once I arrived, I was asked for the card I gave on the phone, thinking it was just to see it. He swiped it again. I asked what are you doing since you charged me once. He said its "for security purposes and I wont be charged until I check out." I said you have a pre-authorization why do you need another one? He gave the same rambling explanation that didn't make sense. What is the security measure that's needed at 4pm on check in day? I have stayed at many hotels around the country and around the world. Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, Doubletree, Ritz, Four Seasons etc .and have NEVER needed 2 pre-authorizations for a reservation. If I didn't show up or not follow cancellation policy, then they have every right to charge me. But to get a "pre-authorization" before I arrive and then to obtain a 2nd one makes no sense???? What is the purpose of that other than to rip people off. As travelers know, if you tie up people's credit line with pre-authorizations, that is also a nuisance. Maybe I was only going to be "charged" once but why are they tying up people's credit line? If security is such as issue at your hotel then tell people that is an issue on your website before making a reservation. What does security mean, fraud? Since he wasn't interested in explaining why to me and he wasn't friendly nor professional in his approach, my only conclusion is that they want to rip people off by double "pre-authorizing" them. My advice is pay more and stay elsewhere unless you know what their scam means.

Hello CabZinlvr, I apologize that our procedures disrupted your stay with us. All major brands require a valid credit card at the time of the reservation to guarantee the room. Hotels have this guarantee to ensure you have a room even if the hotel over sells. If the guest however does not show up and does not cancel the reservation the first night is charged as a no-show charge. If however the credit card is declined for any reason, we would have no way to recover the lost revenue. While we are not obligated to contact the guest, we go above and beyond to personally contact each guest with a declined credit card to confirm the intention to stay with us. This procedure generally allows us enough time to sell the room to another guest if given the opportunity. While we did authorize the card, we are required to physically swipe the credit for both your security and ours. This shows that we had the credit card in hand at the time of check in. I did confirm that your credit card was only authorized once. The charge for your room was taken from the pre-authorization and was not an additional authorization. At your service, Curtis

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights on a business trip. Overall, it was fine, nothing special, but nothing major to complain about either. Good Wi-Fi - 13M download/9M upload speeds. It might not be comfortable for people that are sensitive to noises, though, as one could hear everything going on in the neighboring rooms.

Stayed in the hotel for 20 days in November 2015 as I was participating to a training near by. Hotel is near Santa Clara center and everything is close by. Beakfast was full filling and quality good, sinle room I stayed was normal for the hotel rating and the only thiing I would change there is the un nesessary chair that was there, to me it was waste of space used it to store the execessive amount of pillows. Staff is friendly and helpfull, alltough didn't have any "real" problems, but am confidence that they will address those professionally too. Guest laundry works nice and detergents are available at the reception, didn't use the gym but it looked nice enough as well didn't use the outdoor pool as the weather was quite chilly. Near hotel is, in walking distance, several restaurants, hence hotel has none, I guess. Several shopping malls at El Camino Real easy to access by car. For hotels classification over all fealing left me a positive feeling and can easily think to stay there again.

I have stayed here every time I come to Santa Clara. Very close to the airport, easy to get to. The rooms are quite new and look beautiful inside. The breakfast is good. Nearby are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance as well as a shopping center. Typically they are reasonably priced, as well. Great place.

Looks rough from the out side, but the rooms are updated and pretty nice. Parking is tight if you are late getting back to your room. Seems to fill up with big trucks for some reason. Not sure about that one. Closer to the Airport than I expected which was nice. If I am in the area I will defiantly consider this place again.

We stayed at this hotel for only one night. It was one of the most horrific nights I have ever had in a hotel and the frustration has only continued on for what is now 7 weeks later. We arrived late after a very long day of travel & fell asleep fast. We were awakened at roughly midnight to the sound of other guests of the hotel having a wild 'parking lot party' right below our room. Full high end stereo blasting, and dozens of people milling around the parking lot and rooms. They were running up and down the stairs, along the walkways, yelling, screaming, slamming doors...I felt like I was in a dance club - not kidding here!!! We made three calls to management - after the 2nd call, he finally called the police (after he tried to say I should deal with it). The party started up immediately after the police left...another phone call to the manager and nothing. I suspect he was hiding under his desk - clearly incompetent and/or completely untrained & incapable of handling the responsibility of his job. We had no sleep all night, were exhausted and miserable the next morning, were late starting our travels and subsequently did not get to see everything we had intended to see due to the late start. We complained again (to the day manager) before leaving and a couple of days later I received an apology email from the general manager promising a full refund. Well that's where the long drawn out relationship with this hotel chain has continued...to date I have had ZERO refund. I have contacted both the hotel and Best Western Head Office. The hotel manager has at least responded to my emails & appears to be making an effort (to no avail). But Head Office clearly does not care about it's customers & has basically tossed me out on my butt & advised me that they requested the refund and now it is up to me to find out why I haven't received it. That's some great customer service!! Sorry but the right way to do things would be to follow up with your request Best Western and find me an answer...you should make this right, not me!! Thanks Best Western Head Office for taking care of your customers - NOT. Serious EPIC FAIL!!! So, my advice to you dear travellers...stay the hell away from any Best Western!! You might well have a good stay, but if something goes wrong, they will take your money & toss you aside to make room for the next sucker. We have used Best Western more times than I can count and because of their lack of customer service skills, I am being forced to find a hotel that appreciates their customers. Hello Outdoorgirl08, I deeply apologize for the issues you encountered while staying with us. When I became aware of them, I offered a full refund. Because you had used your AirMiles for your stay with us, a third party was involved besides the hotel and Best Western corporate. We generally receive credit on our Best Western invoice for these reservations, which is why I involved the corporate office. I needed their assistants to start the process to return your AirMiles. I confirmed that Best Western immediately contacted the travel agent to request a full refund of your miles. When you emailed me 3 weeks later I confirmed once again that the request was made. I personally contacted the AirMiles department and was informed that my wait time would be 2 hours to speak with a customer service representative. Once I opted to be called back, I was informed the wait time will be 4 hours. I received a call after 4 hours and waited an extra hour for my call to be answered. Once I spoke with a customer service representative, I was informed that I would need to speak with her supervisor. I was told that there were no calls ahead of me and I would not need to wait. After waiting for 1 more hour, I decided to call back the next day. When I called back the auto attendant said the wait time was 15 minutes. After waiting 1 hour, it was clear that they did not intend to take any calls. Their automated message also said that the office will be closed the following day for an important meeting. I will continue to reach out to the third party travel agent until this is resolved. I deeply apologize for the extra aggravation as both Best Western corporate and myself has made every effort to return your miles. At your service, Curtis

Stayed here while visiting from overseas to see a 49ers game. This hotel and its staff were excellent! Upon arrival, The lady at the counter, Marisol, was so welcoming and helpful, it really made our experience enjoyful. We arrived early but she took our bags and arranged the next available room for us. She is really a credit to the business and gave a personal touch we haven't experienced at a lot of hotels. The hotel has great rooms and facilities, pool and gym etc. I definitely recommend staying here if you are in Santa Clara

We have stayed here twice and really like it. Remodeled and very clean. The beds are very comfortable. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others.

This is our second visit to this hotel. Room are big and clean. Its close to Santa Clara University and easy to get to everything in the area. the front desk staff are welcoming and helped us find good places to eat in the area. We will be back for our next visit to the university

This was an excellent Best Western. The place was clean and beautiful; the place quiet and comfortable. An excellent hotel breakfast (real oatmeal!) and very comfortable beds. We will stay here again when in the Santa Clara area.

When I was searching for a good hotel with a decent price, this one came up. So I booked it. I was so glad I did. It was in the center of where i needed to attend meetings and meet later for dinner. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good

Really good value hotel for a very expensive area. The facility is attractive, updated and very clean - with free breakfast to boot. Walk to Denny's/McD's/Taco Bell or a short drive to a variety of restaurants in the area.

The outside was nicely decorated, the rooms were clean and trendy décor. The staff was very friendly and fast. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the guests were a bit rowdy early Sunday morning getting ready for the football game (stadium is very close) but not much staff can do about that. Overall nice place to stay.

Overall the hotel is a great choice when visiting San Jose. Ok price, clean room, quiet, and location is above average to all events within the San Jose area! Except for my check in experiences my stays here have been great!!!

Been there for a 10 day trip. Nice big clean rooms, with good beds. The parking are right outside the rooms. The pool are not that big, but deep, and are great for a little swim after a long hot day. The breakfast is good and there are lot to chose from. The area around the hotel are very local, there are a new center close by, with a few resturants and fastfood chains.

I am a very frequent traveler and I travel all over the world. This hotel located in a convenient location in Santa Clara is truly a hidden gem. The hotel is very cozy and have an excellent hotel staff, from reception to house keeping. The hotel is small enough such that there is no waiting line to check-in. I can pull up my rental car directly to the front office without any hassle. Check-in, friendly reception gives me the key, and then park the car in front of my room, then enter the very comfortable room. Check-out is the same way. No, to add, there is no parking fee. Thus, the price performance at this hotel, considering silicon valley, probably the best, if not near best. But let me stress, this hotel has one of the best hotel staff I have encountered. Always customer first! Good job!

We stayed here for one night as we were going to Levi Stadium to see the 49ers. Very friendly welcome and was served and into our rooms very quickly. Rooms looked like they had been refurbished - very clean and ver comfortable. Good location with the normal restaurants, McDonalds etc very close by. Breakfast was a massive high with a good range of items to sample.

For the price I paid, I thought that I got a decent deal in that neighbourhood. Good rooms, Wifi was extremely fast and the breakfast was good. Small gym but was better than nothing. My only issues were with my experience with the front desk that could have been much better on more than one occasion. I have had them hang up on me and on a separate occasion even forget to inform me that my taxi had arrived (which then left without my knowing).

We opened our fitness room 1 year ago and filled it with all the professional equipment that would fit. Our fitness room consists of 10 sets of dumbbells ranging from 5 pounds to 50. We also added 2 adjustable dumbbell benches, 2 treadmills, a new elliptical machine, and a recumbent bicycle. There is also 2 yoga mats and 2 inflatable fitness balls to help maintain almost any fitness routine. I deeply apologize that you did not receive a call regarding your taxi request. We have a brand new front desk associate that misunderstood your room number. We understand how important these details are, and will continue to work hard to ensure the best experience possible.
