That this hotel offered UNFLAVORED UNSWEETENED instant oatmeal was Fabulous. Generous breakfast. including waffles! Staff was more than agreeable. Everyone was very kind and responsive. Truly gracious. I'm VERY impressed with this hotel
Had a canceled flight so needed a one-night stay. Booked here for price not expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised. Amazing front desk managers who really care, friendly housekeeping staff too. Insanely clean room! The bathroom was gleaming it was so clean. Room was very comfortable and so were the beds. Close to airport. Not within walking distance to too much shops or restaurants (McDonalds and Burger King) only disappointment for me. Wonderful little patio out front with tables and chairs to sit and relax. Loved that!
This was my first time at a Best Western hotel & I thought it would be over my limit but nope, great prices! & the breakfast was amazing, I like how there's different meals each week. Also, I love how the rooms are so modernized. I will definitely be coming back:)
Everyone says location location location, this is a great location! Two bus lines minutes away from hotel. Food choices nearby, local food trucks, bbq and of course a McDonalds next door to hotel. Where can't you find an Arch. Room key is required to enter buildings for extra security.
Free breakfasts were pretty good. Hot items, good selection of fruit, juices, etc. Do-it-yourself waffles were easy to make and came out well. Staff was very helpful. The maids always said good morning or hello. The internet was rock solid. Never had trouble parking. Room was clean and everything worked well. Shower, TV, etc.
Enjoyable stay at Best Western, Silicon Valley. Staff were welcoming and efficient. Rooms clean with fresh air windows. Breakfast had healthy options and a latte machine. Convenient location for travelers. Highly recommend.
I stayed for 2 night for a business trip. The property was very well maintained and the room I had was spacious and clean. There are some basic restaurants within walking distance, which is convenient, but it is easy to get to other places by car as well.
The hotel was extremely clean and so was my room. I had an excellent experience. It was nice to have a hot breakfast before I started my work day. I travel to this area often and will definitely stay here again!
I was worried after reading some reviews but this place was actually really nice and clean. There was a working fridge, microwave, and coffee pot in the room that we didn't use The breakfast in the morning was good and if you want a quick bite to eat there's a McDonald's next door
Really nice and pleasant stay at this hotel. Staff was nice and the service was good as well. Would recommend this place . Location is not great , but if you drive it's less than 5 min from downtown Sunnyvale.
Was in area for a concert. Hotel was easy to get to and check in was easy. Room was quiet and clean. The next morning we had a small bite from the breakfast bar. Food variety was good and area was kept clean & tidy.
This hotel is spotless and welcoming and has a great daily breakfast. The people who work here are friendly and professional and always make you feel welcome. They have very comfy beds too! I highly recommend this gem for your next stay in Sunnyvale / San Jose / Silicon Valley. Great team! Great location.
I spent three nights there this year to be near family. The room was immaculate and comfortable and breakfast included specialty coffees (latte, cappuccino etc) and almond milk in addition to the usual fare. The fitness centers are tiny and on two floors. The only bad thing is the lack of elevator which meant carrying suitcases up narrow stairs. I've been to this hotel many times over the years and was happy to see that they've recently installed body wash, shampoo and conditioner in refillable containers in the shower, eliminating those tiny wasteful plastic bottles. I hope other hotels follow suit. I heartily recommend this hotel as personnel are pleasant, there is a self-service laundry, the hot breakfast options are changed daily and all areas are very clean.
We always stay here when we come visit in the area. The Inn is well maintained and all of the staff are extremely helpful. This is a great location with access to highways and there is a Starbucks, gas station and a few restaurants nearby within walking distance. The rooms were remodeled recently and are very nice.
Loved my stay at Best Western in Silicon Valley. Great computer in lobby with printer to get work done. Also free internet if you like to work while watching extensive selection of movies from the huge, comfy bed.
We were very satisfied with our stay, the room was very clean, the location was great, the parking area was very well lit, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great also, we were surprised with the options. Will definitely stay here again.
vegetables, bottled water would be good if with, so for businees peoson, they will not have time to buy that by themselves. And sometimes in the morning, we need some vegetables, and quite happy if with.
The housekeeping staff there is phenomenal! As an ex housekeeper myself I look for imperfections. I am very OCD about cleaning. I felt comfortable staying here. The rooms were so clean and dust free. The sheets and pillows were fluffy and cozy. No stains on sheets. I was able to relax and enjoy my stay with my family. Best Western has a customer for life. Thank you.
Good jump Point for what we were in town for. The room was clean staff were polite and helpful. Would not recomend the hot part Breakfast but other selections were the standard. Mattresses were definitely not for us extremely hard and uncomfortable.
The place is just south of the Bayshore Freeway on Mathilda. Aside from Breakfast and a fitness center I did not see, it offers no amenities. There is no bar nor restaurant. Fortunately, Sunnyvale has a center with lots of places to eat and drink about a mile and one half away. The rooms are clean and functional. Breakfast is OK and on a par with what we would expect in a low cost American hotel. I thought the room was expensive for the type of hotel, but that may be due to its location.
This hotel checked all the boxes. Clean, good location, easy check-in. I get the impression this hotel caters to weekday business travelers, which might be why we got a great rate of $110 for a Saturday night stay. We would stay again.
Very clean, well designed rooms, hot breakfast with options for waffles and toast, selection of fresh fruit, cereal, excellent coffee, in-room microwave and refrigerator, on-site laundry, centrally located in silicon valley. Very comfortable bed, very nice linens and towels. Kind, caring, professional and efficient staff.
The carpet was not clean, there were stuff left on the floor from previous guest. Front counter was not polite at all, speak very loudly which she asked me to print my name and email and keep insisting on "printing" where it was heard and done so already..
We stayed here for one night on business travel. The hotel looks very well kept, and newly renovated (?). We were on the second floor, but there was no elevator, so ask for a lower floor if you don't want to lug suitcases up the stairs. We did choose an upper floor, so can't complain. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. It had a great A/C unit and comfortable bed. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. We did not eat breakfast there, so can't comment on that.
Breakfast is great with lots of choices including fruits, bagel, scramble egg and sausages, self-cooked waffle, cereal and juices. Room is clean with comfy bed. Just that we are disappointed that the wood curtain was not a real window. it was for decoration only.
Everything was great with this hotel, good location, clean, quiet, good value. Only issue we came across was the cell connection, wasn't great in the room but if you use the provided internet, you'll be fine. Internet speed was good.
Second time t this property and this stay was even better then the first. The General Manager , Kesh handled both my phone registration and check in / check out in a personable and professional manner. The room was well maintained and clean. The king bed was super comfortable, cooling and heating worked fine, and the room was reasonably priced. The breakfast was standard Best Western buffet style, and had the added feature of an automatic drink dispenser with a good variety of hot beverages.I have made this my property of choice when visiting my son in Mountain View, CA., and the lower west side of the San Francisco Bay in general
Wonderful spot to find. Very nice staff, well designed room, all the rooms enter from interior hallway which adds an extra comfort. Great location, quiet yet in the heart of it all. Very glad they are a Best Western.
Christmas Day, I stayed at this Best Western the outside parking area and lobby incredible clean the lawn manicured. No trash! The person at the reception was extremely nice and efficient allowed early check in and said Merry Christmas. The room was clean and surrounding area quiet. Breakfast was a collection of scrambled eggs, sausage, bread, waffles, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, coffee, and other. The only disadvantage was housekeeping, they knocked on my door around 9:30 am and immediately walked into my room, housekeeping said she was sorry and left. Other than that incident my stay was great
While rooms are cleaned, the windows are opened for fresh air! Nice to know the air in my room was fresh—every day for 5 days. The decor was new, the bed very comfortable and great WiFi. The staff was excellent!
Such great people who are friendly and helpful. I appreciate all the extras in the room like the channels on the TV, the local restaurants and things of interest in the area. The hotel is quiet, well staffed and ready to help with any of your needs.
very nice Hotel, clean and people are nice, i will stay there anytime me staying there was nice the room is clean love the decorations, people are friendly prices are affordable, i will recommend to friends
Surprise for girl friend on her birthday - Shoreline Amphitheater concert with one of her favorite country stars (Brad Paisley) and needed to stay close for a short drive after show. This was a great value, clean , friendly staff, and easy to get to hotel. They gave us our breakfast bags at check in, this made morning great so we could sleep in. It was full to the brim with nice selection of treats, but no drink....Plenty of parking, room was very good, clean, and had good amenities. No issues with this hotel and very clean was a major plus. Bed was comfortable and it was a quiet place. I would say if in area, traveling through, or hitting up your favorite show this would be the place to stay.
i have been here many times and as always the managers are very kind and make sure that everything is as supposed to be. For sure they are customer satisfaction oriented, Rare attitude to find in this period. Thank you again
Lovely, clean hotel with wonderful staff. I can't say enough about this hotel. The room was enormous with first rate amenities — the coffee in the room was better than Starbucks. I usually don't sleep well in hotels, but here was different. It was so quiet!
Our family stayed in Best Westerns across the country for the last week and this one, was by far, the best experience. Clean, super friendly and prompt staff, easy check in. Current tech and modern design for the whole room
This place is old. It smells like the 70's. It is so horrid smelling that I had to wipe everything, I mean everything when I got home. It makes me want to gag. I even had to wash all the clothes, socks, etc I did not wear. Do not stay here. This is like a bad Motel 6.
We usually stay at a Premier or at least a Plus. We decided to give the standard Best Western another try because it was in our direction. This location exceeded our expectations. They give you the to go breakfast bag at check in, put it in your fridge for the morning. We wanted to change floors from the second to first, because there is no elevator in the second building. That was no problem. We did express check out and left the keys in the room. The rooms are modern, like what we have seen in the Premier locations. New showerhead (which I always look for) but the pressure was kind of low. Lightning fast WiFi and no pool. I highly recommend this location.
I stayed at this Best western. Front desk had Corvid safe environment at the check in where staff had mask on, front desk has plexiglass shield and hand sanitizer. Room was very clean with comfortable bed. They Provided to go breakfast bag with lots of food for breakfast. Friendly staff.
Me and my wife had a really comfortable stay. let me start off by saying the check in process was very quick and easy,as well as the staff are very respectful and they make you feel at home.the rooms are perfect in my eyes large bed large TV and most importantly the cleanliness was superb.i can look around and tell you one thing this place has been clean even before covid 19.they use hospital grade sanitizer and disinfectant wow I had a great night's rest and the place is 100% safe.
Best food ,good quality of best staff friendly and helpful service, and coffee and milk , sugar is free and polite nature view and morning view was very relaxing and really good service simila best hotel
Great overall. No issues or concern. Good and quiet, friendly staff. The bfast area is currently close but they compliment you with a bag of snack, fruits and juice. Coofee is available in your room and you can always call front desk for additional needs. Clean room, beds and sheets are fresh and clean.
Very cleaned rooms, breakfast had a variety of things to choose from to eat. Price was okay. My family and I stayed there for 3 nights rented two rooms for almost 725 each room. That included breakfast. Room service was done early in the morning for the 3 nights that we stayed.
Loved the food and the staff. It was a good stay overall as my work place is just a few minute drive from th hotel. The food in the restaurant had a lot of variety. Staff were very accomodating and helpful.
Great stay Thanks to Nimesh for hospitality Thanks to staff for cleanliness and food Oatmeal option good for Vegetarian Coffee Quality is good Stay was comfortable Room was maintained Staff cooperative
Excellent experience all around. This hotel was substantially less expensive than others around it, but just as convenient. Check-in was fast, friendly, and efficient, and they accommodated a special request without batting an eye. Room was clean, well appointed, comfortable, and quiet. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the area.
I was lucky to book at this hotel, which is coming out of a great remodeling. All new but especially clean. A very good breakfast and a professionally trained staff to help. I highlight Nimesh, efficient but especially willing to hear and attend to what is possible what we ask and ask. It deserves 10 stars but I can only give 5 and the same to the facilities
Superb Hotel. Excellent staff- they really went above and beyond, specially Nimesh is very friendly and helpful. Really nice room with very cozy bed. Great location. One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Highly recommend it. This hotel exceeded my expectation! Staff .
I stayed in this hotel for a few days and my family and I were treated very well, especially by the manager Nimesh. He did an excellent job and we really enjoyed our stay here. Service was excellent and we were very welcomed. Breakfast was very nice. Nimesh did an outstanding job for us.
Had a very pleasant stay , staff was very attentive to my needs and very friendly, room was immaculate and the breakfast was delicious, we came to the bay area to go to Great America and we will definitely be staying here when we come back next year Date of stay: December 2019
For $$, best BW we've stayed in --PERIOD. Very nice, all 1 level, bright, pleasing, property w/ excellent service in great location for SJC, Levis Stadium, Moffitt/NASA/Google, etc. Having had not good experience a BW in another state, for which we received $70 compensation in BW+ gift cards, this nice place made it all well. :)
I was there last week on business. It's a great location and nice room. The staff over there is really nice and helpful specially Nimesh. Nimesh helped me a lot during my stay and I can't thank him enough.
I was stayed in this hotel in month of june. Excellent hotel, well trained staff, wonderful service. Frontdesk Person Mr. Nimesh was so helpful to find my location.. He is kind Person. He help me in breakfast and also great helpful in check-in & Check-out Process. I would reccommanded my all friends... it was wonderful stay.....
this is one of the best place I stayed . wonderful location and very quite place . all the stay are well trained and front desk person Nimesh was so helpful during my stay . and I enjoyed morning breakfast it was just like home for us .i would definitely recommend to all our friends and family to stay at this place.
As there was no elevator, I ended up pulling a muscle in my shoulder lugging my bag upstairs. After check in, not one employee even spoke to me. Housekeeping turned off the heat in my room daily. I had to leave notes asking for supplies like coffee cups in the room. The room faced a McDonald's and the “curtains “ were wood slats, so the room was somewhat lit and also loud every night. All around terrible experience.
Overall great experience. The hotel was quiet and staff was friendly. I enjoyed the hot breakfast options in the mornings. There were miniscule issues (such as having to perform U-turns to and from certain directions) and unfavorable water pressure to personal standards. But it was very modern and convenient location for business travelers to Silicon Valley companies such as Google and Yahoo.
The property is the nicest rehabilitated old motel that I have ever stayed in! The old plumbing went out, however and there was no water in any of the rooms for showers (and you only had one flush available, so you needed to use it wisely). The parking lot turned into a lake and the poor janitor was trying to drain it with a hose and a small sump pump. Accidents happen! But when you are in the hotel or tourism business it pays to apologize and offer some kind of compensation when you inconvenience your customers like this. This hotel chain or franchisee, however, chooses not to do this, so I left paying full price, which in Silicon Valley means $200+ for a motel room. City folks will feel comfortable walking down the street to Denny's (well lit if not very noisy), but if you are not used to big city life I can imagine you getting into your car to drive the one block to get there. There was a good Mexican food truck at the gas station a block away also and of course McDonald's is right next door.
Very nice and helpful staff... Very clean hotel. Rooms are neat and clean. Breakfast is very good and healthy clean area.. theres machine for snacks. Also laundry also clean. We like coming to this hotel.
The staff here is fantastic. I travel frequently but the staff here were great. They went above and beyond the 'requirements' to make my trip successful and stress free. Easy on and off the freeway, supper clean and breakfast was surprisingly good. Only downside, no pool.
There is excellent rocation for business around sunnyvale area. Hotal receptionist is very friendly and housekeeper clean a room very plitely. Breakfast menu is not much change. Negative point is that the turkey sausage is very salty. Positive point is that nice coffee maker and waffle maker are available.
Very good stay. Highly recommend the hotel. Cost-benefit. The hotel is well located. Several restaurants in the neighborhood. Supermarket, Laundry, Groceries. Close to Mathilda Avenue. Close to 101 road
The location actually rather close to some restaurants so every night I walked about 40 minutes, which is good after full day of work. The bed is super comfy BUT especially the staff is super friendly. The free breakfast has those cool wafers maker!!
The place was great to stay at. Clean, quiet, and great priced. Definitely will stay again next year for convention. Breakfast was plentiful. Parking was sufficient. Staff was friendly and was pleasant to us even though we had a very late arrival. We had 2 rooms. Both single king beds. Was centrally located for us to do family things and still do the convention that we were up in the area for.
No fitness room. (1 treadmill per 100 room )Internet speed is very poor, sometimes no wifi. Got back pain due to bed quality. Breakfast options are very low. Egg omelette, juice. Nothing else. Not worth at all
Great location and friendly staff, facilities in good condition, breakfast very rich and varied, room are clean and comfortable, fast internet and free parking. Near to restaurants, bars, mall and freeway !!!
I will stay at this property again the hotel was clean in the process of upgrading, breakfast was good enough front desk staff was professional location was adequate with supermarket, and a few restaurants close by if your depending on Uber or Taxi the wait was a hour and a half. Over all a fine experience at this property
We have been staying at this hotel for almost 6 years now and were always highly satisfied with basically everything. Rooms are spacious and clean, stuff is super nice, great value for money. Breakfast is also great, there is really nothing I can object on.
Fast friendly service. Great location. Walking distance to food and grocery stores. Easy access to the freeways. Nice, quiet, clean rooms. Yummy breakfast choices. Within minutes from several entertainment venues.
The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was simple and clean. The location is good, close to everything. Walls were thin so there wasn't a lot of accoustic isolation, but that did not bother me. Again, great staff.
This Best Western has an excellent location, safe and easy to enter from highway 101 and 237. The newly renovated room was very clean and with comfortable bed. Good size TV with lots of channels and a strong Wi-Fi connection. Delicious hot buffet breakfast with fruits, yogurt bar and waffle with lots of toppings. The cleaning staff was very friendly and caring. Front desk agents were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and attentive, and the location is great. The breakfast area was very clean and included a few hot items plus the usual muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, waffles, and oatmeal. There were a few tables outside where we could enjoy breakfast in the mild weather. There was always room in the free parking lot. Hotel is close to 101, so it was easy to reach from the San Jose airport. When we return to Sunnyvale, we will stay here again.
The breakfast (free) is fabulous, the employees are very nice, check-in and check-out is easy, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, there is plenty of parking (free), and the facilities are updated. Very quiet even though it is on a main road. I couldn't recommend anything better for the area!
Sudah and the rest of the front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful! Exercise rooms were in a weird location but were very accommodating. WiFi speeds and reliability could use improvement but overall, it was a great stay!
I loved my stay here! The entire staff at the Silicon Valley Inn Best Western is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are clean, comfortable beds and quiet air conditioning and toilets. The location is blocks away from Google, Apple, LinkedIn offices and 10 minutes away from San Jose State. You won't find nicer folks than Sudah and Nimesh. The full breakfast has waffle maker, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, cereal and muffins. The coffee maker offers flavors and mochas. The tea selections are a great variety as well.
I highly recommend this hotel. I was there on business with very early and late shifts. Room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast area was very clean. Never a shortage of items. Welcoming snacks when coming back from a long day in the evening. Staff was GREAT!!!!
This is a wonderful hotel. Newly renovated and very clean. The people at the front desk were extremely gracious and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here on our next visit to the area. We come here at least twice a year and have stayed at many different hotels. You won't be disappointed.
I had to spend two nights in Sunnyvale for my job and the only added value was the proximity to the client. Room was small and cold, radiator was down. It was also noisy, because right on the main street. At least bed was not that bad. Terrible breakfast: small area, poor quality and undrinkable coffee. Price: 436 dollars for 2 nights! Unbelievable.
I stayed for a week during the last week of June in 2018. Location: The Hotel is situated on the main road of Sunnyvale thereby within driving distance of about 10-20 mins to Mountain View. Location wise it is pretty convenient if you're going to visit Mountain View or Sunnyvale. The property is decent for Silicon Valley standards. The beds are quite comfy and the room sizes are generous. The breakfast offered was laughable as there was literally nothing notable on offer. The breakfast spread was worse than the enough being offered in a cheap motel. Stay was comfortable except for the breakfast.
I am a frequent user of Best Western Hotels in my work usually traveling an average of once a week through out the year as well as my staff staying there frequently. I would book rooms at the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn in Sunnyvale, Ca. several times a year when in the area. In January-February, 2019 I booked a room at the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn through a 3rd party as that was all that was available at that time for this hotel. The hotel showed sold out, but there was a room available through a 3rd party booking. Unfortunately, I was unable to physically make it to the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn on the reservation date due to storms and Highway closures. I discussed my inability to make the reservation due to Highway closures (beyond my control) with the 3rd party booking agent and they were considerate and willing to refund the room rate, all they asked was for the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn to phone or email them and confirm I had spoken to them. I had contacted the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn in advance to let them know I could not make the reservation due to Highway closures in northern California. I'm sure they probably re-rented the room to another party as plenty of advance notice was given of the cancellation.. The staff at the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn refused to even discuss the matter with me and were terribly rude and impolite. I contacted Best Western Corporate directly and they would not assist me saying it had to be handled by the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn and 3rd party booking agent. I explained several times to the Best Western Corporate that all I needed was for the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn to contact the 3rd party booking agent and the refund would have been made. Best Western Corporate seemed more concerned with standing behind the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn rude and inconsiderate staff than helping a loyal customer. In summary the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn was terribly rude, inconsiderate and I will not be staying at this hotel again. I do not recommend the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn. This has certainly has tested my business relationship with all Best Western hotels for future lodging.
The room was clean and updated and the staff was helpful. Lots of parking, which can be a challenge in the Bay Area. We could walk to a good Japanese restaurant, grocery store, Starbucks, liquor store at night and felt safe. Their breakfast has a better selection of pastries than most BW we've stayed at. We would stay here again.
The hotel is great, NO insects, very clean and has a simplicity. I enjoyed sleeping. I would like to express a special thanks to Nimesh and the rest of the room cleaner, and the women in the buffet area who always offer us a coffee.
I arrived late to find a receptionist with a smile who was quick to attend to my checking in. Everything was clean, pleasent and I just wanted to geet some sleep. I walked into my assigned room and I was out. Nice! ZZzzz
I'd really like to rate this as a four: Things have obviously been through renovation and the room was fairly nice. The room appeared to be some form of partially disabilities accessible room. High sink. Grab bar in shower. However, it was missing things I'd expect if it was intended to be fully accessible. (I did not need such things.) There was nowhere to sit in the room besides the desk chair. The bed was comfortable, if a bit firm. The pillows were overly firm, but plentiful. The linens were clean. The bathroom was quite nice and everything well maintained. The vibe of the place was very much old motel, but aside from the hallway to the rooms needing a bit of renovation, I couldn't really say why. Two biggest gripes was too much light pollution from various LEDs in the room, and the walls let the building noises in way too readily. I don't normally like marking a venue with a "princess and the pea" feel, but I never got comfortable there and slept poorly. Had my stay been longer, I likely would have checked out. Your own mileage may vary.
No issues at all, location is great (just a block off the highway and close up everything) rooms clean and spacious. We were in multiple rooms for multiple nights and everything was very functional. Property not new but extremely well kept up. Nice hot breakfast, super nice staff. A McDonalds right next door and a Denny's a few doors down (with great food actually) was also very convenient for our busy group. Highly recommend.
A little over priced but it was clean, had free breakfast and parking. Location is close to the Levi Stadium - we were in town for football game Heating system needs some work Seemed to be centralled located for Sunnyvale area
We arrived early from our 11hr drive and Nemesh provided a standard room for early check in since our room was not ready yet. The room he provided us was super clean and decorations were modern and clean we were very impressed with the room for it being standard. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends n family.
Overall experience is nice. There are some pretty good restaurants nearby. I took on-site interviews during this stay. Since my room is by the driveway, it's a little bit noisy during the night. Breakfast has fewer choices than the other Best Western hotels that I stayed. The front desk is very professional, as they helped me to contact my Uber driver to find my phone. Price is a little bit expensive. As a 2-star hotel, I spent $200 per night here.
Had a horrible experience - don't stay here. Room was terribly musty and then found live bugs in the bed. Put the bugs in a baggie and went to the front desk, turned in our keys and checked out. Men sitting in folding chairs smoking outside the entrance doors. They billed us for 3 nights and we were only there one night. Don't stay here.
Great hotel, central location to freeways, shopping and dining. Staff was very accommodating, breakfast was hot and tasty, rooms were good sized! The value was incredible, and the early check in was greatly appreciated!
Breakfast is there in the morning on daily basis as it is not in the options at most of the nearby hotels. So its a good option.Rooms are good enough for a business personLocation is near to many known companies
All hotels in Silicon Valley are expensive. All hotels offer different items such as free or paid parking., free or charge breakfast. This Best Western had the most considerate staff and thoughtful personnel. We were pleased with out spotless room, we were pleased with the efforts of housekeeping, and we were pleased with our breakfast. It is our opinion that we received the most for our dollar staying with the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn. The Inn is also close to restaurants and easy access to attractions in Sunnyvale. One item though is the traffic can be difficult to drive and it make take as much as two hours to drive 9 miles. AVOID THE BUSY WORK HOURS. Despite that one minor Sunnyvale problem this is a great Inn.
This is the best BW I've ever stayed in and better than most hotels. It has been renovated and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The front desk and all employees were extremely friendly and eager to help. Nice walk in showers, good clean breakfast area with specialty coffee machine. We would highly recommend this BW to anyone in the area.
We spent three nights there to be near family. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast included specialty coffees (latte, cappuccino etc) and almond milk in addition to the usual fare. The fitness center was tiny and on two floors. The only bad thing is the lack of elevator which meant carrying suitcases up narrow stairs.
Yeah - an "inn" sounds good but this is really an very, very nice motel. Technically the rooms do not open into the parking area - what they did is build a hallway on the back of the rooms and change the entrance. A very nice job reconstructing the property and, for someone who would not normally stay in a motel, I can honestly say I would return to this place every time in the future. That being said, we have stayed at a bunch of different places in the valley when visiting our son and his family. And they are all so incredibly expensive especially if you stay mid week. I wish I had found this place 8 years ago - I could have saved myself a lot of $. The room was quite nice, comfy king bed, very very clean, upscale bathroom and perfectly adequate breakfast.
The hotel is central to getting around the San Jose and surrounding areas, and the price is very good. This is the cleanest hotel in which I have stayed. rooms are good for those with allergies - no carpets in rooms. Excellent amenities, room size very good with just about everything you need. Excellent hot breakfast which would make it worthwhile just on that. Close to other restaurants as it is on a main road.
Clean and quiet room. Helpful front desk staff. Reasonable price for location Needs some updating and tubs need nonslip mats. Would book this location again if business brings me to this area again. Also provide usual breakfast items
This property was conveniently located and the employess were respectful and responsive. We had booked a King Room with a pull-out sofa for my husband (6"3", my daughter and me. When we went up to our room, it turned out the pull-out sofa would not pull out all the way because the King bed was in the way. After much discussion and looking at another King room that had exactly the same set-up and if you managed to pull the sofa bed out then it would be impossible for one person to get out of the king without having to climb over either the other person in the king or the entire fold-out, they "upgraded" us to a 2 queen room. This wasn't what I had reserved or wanted. I spend two nights hardly sleeping because of having to be in the king bed, also the A/C did not work well and it was close to 100 degrees in Sunnyvale both of the days we were there. When I filled out the survey, the manager responded that we were upgraded, which I felt couldn't be farther from the truth. Although the 2 queen room is $11 more per night than the king room, in our situation the 2 queens was a significant downgrade. Clearly no one at the property understood what the issue was and seemed to focus on the fact that the king room was slightly cheaper than the 2 queen. I would have paid $50 more per night if I could have had a king room, but I wasn't going to pay for 2 rooms when we really only needed one. They just advertise and reserve a room that is actually not available at their property. The breakfast was adequate for what you would expect given the price and location. There are many other small hotels in this area, I'm hopeful that there are properties where the rooms are as advertised.
I'm not typically a bw customer, but rate was reasonable for the area relative to peers. I also cut them some slack as they are renovating the front desk area when I was there so it was not the best first impression. Room was clean, ac worked, WiFi was stable (8 mbps down 5 up). The lighting felt a little fluorescent for my likes. But they had a high tech light in bathroom with a power button built in to mirror which was cool. Didn't do breakfast as I didn't want to partake in the experience of eating out of the make shift office (a temporary issue you prob won't have by now). Good value (for Silicon Valley) so worth a try if you need a room.
The rooms are good, but the stay was let down by building work in the reception and dining area. Hot drinks were served from a table in the corridor, plastic cutlery not capable of cutting bacon and paper plates and cups. Not sure if this is the norm, but very disappointing.
Stayed here for 6 nights for a business trip. I was in doubt on 3 or 4 stars but as the positives outway the negatives, I decided on 4 stars. This hotel actually has 2 parts. The main part is connected to the reception, but there is also a part that has its own parking and is right next to it. I was located in the seperate part, which meant that you have to walk around the outside for breakfast in the morning. (which was actually not bad to get a breath of fresh air and its just a 1 minute walk) Positives: + Great Wi-Fi (25+ Mbps see Speedtest picture) + Very Clean rooms + Room was very quiet, although if someone walks in the room above you or in the hallway, you can hear them very clearly. But luckily there were no noisy guests around. + More then enough parking right in front of the hotel. + Several (fast food) eating places around. + Big supermarket (Lucky supermarket) very close by. + Many electricity outlets in the room to charge, but also 2 USB chargers at the work desk and 2 USB chargers in the alarm clock next to the bed (see picture). I actually did not need to use my european chargers as I just used the USB outlets in the room. + Good selection of TV channels (see picture) Negatives: — Very limited breakfast, due to renovation served in the managers office and seating is arranged in a room next to it. There are no slices of meat or cheese whatsoever. (the waffle machine was really nice however) — No bottle of water in the room, first thing I had to do after a very long trip is go to the vending machine in the hallway to get a bottle of water for $1.50. This was really a bad first impression. And I don't understand how they do not provide a bottle of water when customers are paying $150+ per night. — Noisy refrigerator in the room which I had to turn off at night.
Great staff and amenities....In this area this is best value for money...all other hotels and accommodations are priced ridiculously in the silicon valley area...for business purposes this works perfectly......
Needed a place to stay for a short business trip. The rate for the area was reasonable and having stayed at a best western hotel in Atlanta before went for this place since it was a very convenient location. terrible mistake. Hotel was being renovated, breakfast was being served in the manager's office. Why they couldn't close the place for renovations is beyond me. It was noisy, no water bottles, juts very poor quality. DO NOT STAY HERE, EVER
Quite expensive, but the service was awesome. The personal at the lobby was always helpful and cordial. Room was super clean, very confortable. The breakfast could be more continental. Thanks for all!
It was a nice looking hotel and the desk manager was really laid back. The shape of the hotel buildings were L and we were at the far back edge, even though the Inn was not busy. The room was very clean and I was happy to see that the bathroom was also clean. My husband went to get extra towels as our son was in the room with us and he was gone for a long, long time. It turns out that our room key was not good for the front building and he had to walk all the way around through the parking lot and down the sidewalk to get to the registration desk. Then, there was a light hung on the building outside our room. Unfortunately, our blinds did not close all the way and the room was lit up all night long. There were no curtains to block the light, just wooden shutters.
Stayed here on our last night in California. Affordable and neat and tidy a super easy to get to the San Francisco Airport. Minor glitch with the AC not working but moved to a room right away. Decent breakfast too.
Never stayed at a Best Western before. The experience was excellent. Upgraded to a business room that looked like it was recently refurbished. Room was spotless and had all amenities that were needed. Would definitely stay here again.
Mr. Kesh Bavaria and his complete staff are all Excellent! Mr. Kesh Bavaria always has a warm friendly smile for all of his guest that are there having breakfast in his breakfast / lobby area. A very professional person who is a great example of how a general manager should conduct themselves. His housekeeping & maintenance staff were also friendly and courteous. We would stay here again and again because of how we were treated here at The Best Western - Silicon Valley Inn at 600 N. Mathilda in Sunnyvale, CA. Thank you!
Our stay was very nice. The room was large and extremely well appointed. The staff were friendly and the room was very comfortable. The traffic noise was not even noticeable since the rooms were well insulated.
The place is nicely located, affordable, has good internet connection, and is quiet. The local food is close and pretty good and the staff is always welcoming. I've been using this hotel for a year now and it's just what I need.
Sunnyvale lodging is either very pricey or very down-market. This hotel struck a balance. It's not perfect, but it did the job - the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. Breakfast was a lot better than many similar establishments. There's plenty of parking. On the down side: - the gym equipment is limited - they had problems with their free wifi - somewhat peculiar louvered blinds on the window don't keep all the light/noise out
Room not cleaned, floor not swept. No housekeeping after 3pm. No elevator for the 2nd floor and the night not trained to be customer friendly and didn't even think to provide assistance with luggage. The key card didn't wor initially. The mattress cover was put on reverse to coverup the large tear on the right side.
Medium-size room with a comfortable bed and a selection of pillows with different firmness (a definite plus). Walls are paper thin and there is some external noise when Mathilda Ave is busy. Breakfast was continental fare. Staff friendly. Price high but what you expect in Silicon Valley. Staff 4 Stars Room 3 Stars Bed/pillow comfort 4 stars Noise 2 Stars Price 3 Stars Location 4 Stars I would stay here again.
Our room was clean and fresh smelling. The bed and pillows were comfy. The staff was very nice. The lobby and halls felt a little run down and outdated. The hotels in this area were pricey so I was happy with the value of this room.
We stayed there in hotel for a week on a business trip. Room was very nice, we liked everything about the room, room was small but was there everything we need in that space. It was maintained properly, breakfast was good. Dining area looks small, but is sufficient. I recommend this hotel.
This hotel was better than the Hilton I stayed at in San Francisco the weekend before. It was clean, service was friendly, breakfast was included (wasn't included in the Hilton) and was good! Best part of breakfast? The waffle iron! Nothing beats fresh hot waffles!
great location...easy on and off the freeway, close to local attractions and restaurants. quiet, clean and comfortable rooms with updated, modern decor. Helpful friendly staff. Easy on site parking. Safe and secure
It did not feel like a hotel room, it felt like a home. Nice warm colors and crown molding in the rooms. Good breakfast. Nice staff. It was a very pleasant stay. i could have stayed a week because it had a feel of home.
We were very impressed with the new rooms, even smelled new! But there were a lot of eerie noises, like I door trying to be opened. We concluded is was the pressure when the outdoor doors were opened. The noise from the street is loud too, but BW can't control that.
Service and hotel were really great ! Breakfast could have maybe more choices and be presented on a larger counter , since we had to form a line in order to get to the food . We had overall a good stay !
The Best Western Silicon Valley is a rare find amongst other budget hotels. The rooms are clean and the amenities are functional. You can get a decent sleep and be taken cared of. Yes, it is not a 5 star hotel but it serves its purpose in price point and service. What makes it stand out is the staff within the BW Silicon Valley. They are courteous and very professional. Most times, they do show very good hospitality.
I'm used to best westerns being a lot more upscale and nicer than this one. The breakfast was horrible! Usually best western has pretty decent breakfast. There was not enough variety, biscuits were hard, potatoes were overcooked, no bacon or sausage. The bed was very uncomfortable. Not worth what we paid for the stay.
Unlike many motels, this one is not next to a freeway so we heard very little street noise. The room was above average in decor and seemed to have been recently renovated with a large, walk-in shower, desk, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Pillows were a little lumpy but I was delighted to find a blanket in the closet to exchange for the heavy duvet on the bed. The breakfast buffet had a more than adequate selection of the standard motel breakfast items and there was plenty of seating.
Not a hotel for business travelers. Fitness room is small - not sure why even bother to have one. And no Business center. Really a lot of money for not too much to offer. Management was great and very helpful to make stay pleasant.
Yes, the price per night is ridiculous, however, it is a decent MOTEL. The room was spacious and spotless, and obviously recently updated. The light in the bathroom was dull, and the sink/vanity is outside the bathroom which has it's pros and cons: if you're staying with someone else you can use the sink when they are in the bathroom, but if one person gets up earlier than the other, there is no shielding the vanity light. Bring an eye mask. The bed was very comfortable. There are plenty of places to plug in electronics, and there is a fridge and microwave in the room. The coffee in the room is predictably crappy, but they have a machine in the breakfast room that is a step up. Breakfast includes the usual BW fare such as fake omelettes with fake cheese, but at least you can get eggs without meat. They also have hard boiled eggs. A nice touch is the mint-infused water in the lobby. Although it's located on a main boulevard, I heard no traffic noise, nor did I hear any noise from other rooms.
This is a great business hotel. Location for the Silicone Valley was good. Old Historic Murphy Street is a terrific place for dining or hanging out for casual drinks. Wish they had a pool. Bright lights on exterior of the building should dim at night so they don't shine in the room.
Room is clean, bed is comfortable, breakfast is basic but ok. Some restaurants, especially fast food restaurants are nearby. Visitor from Asia, we would expect to have slipper but it is not provided as normal as in other US hotels.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and spacious room. No noise at all. Easy access to a lot of amenities. Breakfast offer was not bad at all. Chairs and tables in the breakfast area not comfortable at all.
My best experience at a hotel for business or pleasure and I stayed for 14 consecutive days. The breakfast was delicious with a daily variety of fresh food snd drink items. The staff was always courteous and available when needed. My room was beautiful and impeccably cleaned.
Stay was Plesent and good, Good quality of service. Nice room and Clean. Good Breakfast. Helpfull staff had nice time and nice sleep. Will be visiting again to this place. Close to my office in Sunnyvale.
The room was very clean and attractive. The refrigerator was modern and quiet and I am a very light sleeper. I requested a room away from entrance doors to ensure a good night's rest and was done so nicely by the pleasant and professional front office staff. Check-in was easy and check-out even easier. The location of this motel is perfect for easy access to all the major Bay Area destinations.
I travel every week and stay at BW's whenever I can... This was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The rooms were clean, updated & very comfortable. The price for the hotel was half of the other hotels in the area. Plenty of eateries within 5 minutes walking distance. I recommend this hotel to all looking for a place to stay in the area...
Good location but a lot of traffic noise - ask for a room NOT facing El Caino Real. Limited eating options - fast food across the street and Med/Greek fod down the street. (Great pitas, wraps and smoked egg plant). Probably will stay here again if I'm in the area again
Good location, close to the highways. 40 minutes to all main attractions. Major outlet mall 30 min away. The beds were extremely comfortable. Even it's considered a motel, it's very nice to be only 2 or 2.5 stars. Nice owners and stuff
Marvelous hotel for reasonable price. Pros: Good location, clean rooms, free parking, well worked Wi-Fi. Cons: My room was noisy at mornings due to outside traffic. Breakfast was good, but quite frugal, without ripe fruits and fruit s salad that I love. I'll recommend this inn and probably will plan to stay here in my future trip.
We stayed here overnight after attending a concert at Shoreline. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was typical for a Best Western. It was nice to be able to grab something to go and be on our way the next morning. We would stay here again if/when attending a show at Shoreline.
Morning manager SUDA is a rude manger! She really lacks people skills! I stayed at this location for 20 days along with my staff. The cleaning staff was amazing and polite as well as John and Johnny at the reception desk which made my week to week changes very easy..
I booked this property in Feb for a concert in August. Price was $210. Checked on line the day before and the price was now $110. No offer from desk clerk to lower rate. Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was the usual B /W fare: nothing bad but nothing remarkable either. Site was over 4 miles from concert and only transportation was Uber, Lyft, taxi etc.
This is obviously not the most luxurious hotel you will be able to find but it definitely deserves more than 2/5 stars which is what I saw prior to my stay. Great value for what I paid. No complaints.
The price of the room was about right, the location worked well for us, we were located in a quiet area of the hotel which was nice, the breakfast choices were good, but the bed was not comfortable for us.
We had my step daughters wedding at Rangstorff House in Mountain View in Shoreline park. It is super close and convenient to get there. I would recommend staying here for a concert weekend as well as going to Shoreline park for bike riding and sail boating.
Quality of service, comfortable beds, and location all make this my choice. The freeways are close, and a variety of restaurants are available nearby. Breakfast was including fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, toast, coffee, juices, and waffles. If I come back, this is my hotel.
The employees are extremely polite and quick with service. The location is central to most places you'll need to go. The rooms are great with comfortable beds and good noise insulation between the rooms. I'll be staying here again.
We enjoyed the hotel! It is clean and up graded and the staff was friendly and helpful. We have stayed a few times because of the location. Our room upstairs was very nice, except there was an alcove at the entrance that looked like something had been removed and never completed. The rest of the room was upgraded and nice.
Overall a great stay. Nothing but good things to say about the building, location and people. Very nice staff, much better than average breakfast. Only small complaint is that the room was about cramped for a family of four. We'd stay there again, but without kids.
I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were nice and the staff was very professional. Breakfast was quick and easy, good variety of foods. Location worked well for my business trip. I would recommend it for business or personal trips.
Clean room, good breakfast and reasonable prices available. Only issue has been not booking rooms early enough for Tuesday and Wednesday night stays and property has been sold out. Close to Apple, Linkedin.
They charge $300 and you would think it would get you more than a motel without an elevator. You would be wrong if you hoped for that. The crowd that was seated outside the hotel made me feel uncomfortable with alcohol smell filling the front yard. Easily the worst hotel I have stayed in as part of a business trip
Excellent service! Good location. Very clean! Feel like we stayed at home! We were very amazed with the hotel employees and their service. Outside was very well kept. The decor & cleanliness in the room was speechless!
If you can get a BW at a non tourist - off peak price...do it. Unfortunately, the rates go up and down significantly on tourist demand. Additionally but not necessarily a bad thing - the breakfast menu is always the same from BW to BW......
This hotel hands down is one of my favorites to stay when I need to spend the night. The overall design and improvements they have done has just solidified this hotel as my #1 go to. Staff is very caring, and overall AN AMAZING HOTEL.
This hotel is excellent, I stay there every other weekend beginning in April. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The front desk lady calls me shortly after I check in to make sure the room is acceptable and it always is. The room is always clean. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is wonderful and I love the sink outside the bathroom. Breakfast is excellent and my diet restrictions are taken care of by the staff. The Internet is easy to access and works very well.
Clean room, friendly staff, place is getting a face-lift so should look better that it already does. Fitness center had free weights with two separate rooms. Staff greeted me with a great attitude and were very helpful as well as made sure I had no other questions about my stay or the area.
Rarely do I comment on my hotel stays but feel I would be doing my fellow travelers a disservice not to five my input on this. This unassuming hotel definitely has more than meets the eye. While it looks like a low rent super 8 from the outside due to the physical configuration it us much, much more! Let's go through the ammemeties. I. RFID room key. Just hold close to sensor for room or outside door. 2. Automatic sliding doors 3. Updated decor rooms 4. Touch sensor on/off mirror light 5. Outlets WITH USB connections!!!!(Hilton doesn't have this) 6. Amazing bed.....im serious here.....this bed was more comfortable than most. 7. Amazing staff. Always willing to help no matter what.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Recently renovated with very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent value overall. The breakfast was very good and the coffee was the best I ever had in a hotel.
Lobby area is tight. No elevator for this 2 story hotel. Carpet inside guest room and corridor felt old and dirty. Exercise room is small, tight, just for show, a waste of space. Breakfast quality good. Location is convenience.
Good location, and close to make an early morning appt. it was very quiet, clean, comfortable, although I picked up food beforehand as not much in the way of restaurants. It is reasonably priced considering the area
The place is in a quiet and nice area, very sate and close to highway 101 and no far (1 mile) from major shopping plaza. room is clean and breakfast is nice with hot and cold options. the breakfast area is small though, outdoors seating is also an option. drink options are plenty.
Reasonably priced hotel with excellent accommodations, and good breakfast buffet. Not a lot of local restaurants in walking distance of the area of the hotel. Hotel rooms are recently refurbished. Would stay here again.
good location for business trip, easy check in and out. good breakfast and staff. reasonable price and value. small room, but comfortable bed. on renovation. good restaurant - Dish Dash, mediterranean fast food restaurant. highly recommend hotel.
I knew nothing about this hotel, booked it solely based on proximity to Shoreline Ampitheater, but was delightfully surprised. The amenities were much nicer than I was expecting for the price. Staff was very nice and helpful. It is right on a major street, I expected it to be much louder than it was, but not bad at all, and hardly any noise from adjoining rooms, although it was full and a busy weekend night. Very comfortable stay.
This is a great hotel, my go-to selection in Silicon Valley. I dropped in early in the morning, without prior reservation. They were able to provide me a room on-spot, for a favorable price, and even waived the early check-in fee. The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the major traffic arteries, but is still quiet. The room was spacious, clean and convenient. Breakfast is rich and satisfying. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and price very reasonable. Highly recommended!
This is one of the best place i have stayed ever , very neat and tidy with affordable price . This will be your next home trust me. It's an awesome place. The front desk is always there to help and very friendly . Kesh who manages the place is a great person
Very nice, clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. Wifi is great, and breakfast is decent for the overall cost. Staff is very nice and helpful. We stayed at a Vagabond Inn fairly close by, before deciding to move to the BW because the other, although cheaper, was just not worth it.
Got booked here by our corporate agency. No luxury, but the room was spotless clean and had all the amenities I could have needed. Great value for money. Unfortunately, this is actually more a motel than a hotel, and "m" stands for "motor" :-). You need a car by the to reach your meetings or even to get food (unless McDonald is ok). I needed to swap to another location downtown, and the personnel handled the situation in a very professional and friendly way. Congratulations. I will certainly recommend the Inn to my colleagues, just with a reminder to bring their own 4 wheels.
Core location to stay in valley for a fail price. It is a really great place to stay. Good place with very clean rooms and great hospitality. The property in well maintained and staff is helpful and well trained. Management keep a good care of the property and that's the reason I am in favor of this location and I recommend to all my family and friends.
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the stay and was very good. I was very happy that the Accommodations matched the pictures and descriptions from the website. I will definitely stay here again in future and highly recommend this hotel.
This is an overall good place to stay with clean, quiet rooms and a friendly staff. The breakfast area is somewhat crowded and the food is average but it's fast and convenient. I stayed in a recently remodeled room and the room was nicely furnished. The "fitness" center has only a few stationery bikes so I took a long walk instead.
We'd just come from So CA where we'd stayed in a luxury beach resort hotel for two nights. Were just as happy with our stay at the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn, Sunnyvale! Now I know you don't have to pay big $$ to get quality accommodations and service. Thank you!!
nice place, nice staff, excellent service, rooms OK, price too high, breakfast not very good, internet slow, dish TV good, overall a good place to stay, very good location for business, good restaurant within walking distance, good bar within walking distance
I had a very nice stay, my last 3 visit. With in 3 months. An I will be recommending to a friend. I wish one of the Front Desk staff would have recommending me to repeat visit members card. I happen to see while leaving this past saturday.
Comfortable, attractive rooms. This is not a "fancy" hotel, but everything is modern, clean, and well maintained. Well-appointed desk area with lots of plugs for your devices. Free WiFi without any slowdowns that we noticed. Basic motel breakfast included. If you want yummy food, better to go out, but if you're in a hurry, it suffices. I do wish they would make an obvious "green" option to NOT get new sheets and towels every day, and then actually follow your request (most hotels have the option and then give you new sheets and towels daily) . I asked the maids to clean the room but not replace sheets and towels. It worked the first day, but not the next.
I live abroad now, but Sunnyvale was my hometown in the States. Whenever i visit my friends and family in the Bay Area again, the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn is my hotel of choice (after trying and comparing others). It is not luxurious, but it amply fulfills our needs. Clean, comfortable, and safe, at a reasonable price. The property is conveniently located on a main thoroughfare with easy highway access, so popping in and out is easy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nice and up to modern standards, with lots of electrical outlets for electronics, warm lamps with shades, and nice, comfortable furnishings. it includes a nice sized working desk for business travelers. I really liked our spacious and tidy bathroom. For extended stays, they had a washer/dryer for a buck. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker for in-room snacking. There is a 24 hour McD's, Wendy's, nd BK across the street and a large supermarket a few blocks up. Probably the best value-added feature though is the included breakfast buffet! A generous all you can eat spread of American breakfast standards (breads, eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, hot/cold drinks, cereals, yoghurts, and a nifty Belgian waffle maker!). The building is resaonably secure with good lighting, key card access, and private parking lot control, plus, it's in Sunnyvale, one of the safest mid-sized communities in the country, so i feel relaxed about bringing my family here. And let me just mention that Wifi is strong and the satelite television system allows ample access to entertainment. The point however is that it is overall what i expect for the money when i travel. I feel at home here and I can relax and enjoy my vacation. The fact that we have been back three times (soon four) attests to our high opinion of this hotel. Are there any downsides? Honestly, the main thoroughfare that I mentioned is heavily trafficked, so there is a detectable road noise (if that happens to bother you). My wife and i are tea drinkers, so a couple of tea bags in-room would have been much appreciated.
The hotel location and the facilities are wonderful. The room is clean, and the staffs are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and diverse. I would definitely choose to stay in the hotel in my future trips.
The hotel has a bit of an odd setup, as there are a couple separate buildings, each with their own parking area. The rooms are entered from interior corridors, but you must go outside to get from one building to the other. I image the building is fairly old, but the room had relatively modern furnishings. The room itself seemed clean, although the grout between the bathroom tiles looked a little suspect. The toilet had also been installed crooked, which is certainly not a showstopper but does give the impression that they aren't striving for perfection here. The sink was located outside the bathroom, which can be good when multiple people need to get ready in the morning. The breakfast had a good variety of food, including hot waffles, scrambled eggs, bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. Overall, the hotel was a good value and I would consider staying here again when/if I'm back in the area.
Staff was extremely helpful. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was the best we ever had at a hotel. Loved the choices of coffee. The waffle maker was divided in 4's. Which made it easier to divide between children. The room's were very quite. Never heard other guest. Staff took the time to ask why we were there and suggested fun things to do while we were there. When the staff saw us they asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay better,
I only wish breakfast was closer and started sooner The buildings were far apart, which was good for the noise factor but terrible if you needed ice or anything from the lobby. Check in was a breeze! I even got to check in as soon as i arrived in town (which was earlier than the 3pm usual check in time of all hotels)
Located near some decent eateries. The hotel staff were welcoming. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was generally what you would expect - eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, Waffles, cereals, pastries, muffins and bagels but light on the fruit. Would happily use again if we are ever back in this area.
Overall good hotel. Staff was polite. I think a little over priced....but it was clean and quiet for the most part. The A/C was loud when running. The TV is a little small compared to other Best Westerns I have stayed at.
The stay at Best Western in Silicon Valley was very enjoyable. While being away for business, the room was clean and quiet. Nice size refrigerator for left over food and comfortable bed. Would definately stay again
Had to change 4 times the room for 14 days visit, not so great an experience. Dear Sir in my 14 day stay i changed 4 room, started with 148 there was a litte noise from road then moved to 246 where ac was making a lot of noise, then moved to 256 which was okay living in the Alaska types then moved to 121 which was fine. Please upgrade the AC to split one,s unless you are getting a centralized one's.
Had a delay checking in, there was a problem with the computer. The room was at the far end of the property. If the weather had been foul it would have been a problem. As it was it was just a long walk to the breakfast room. The room was generally clean but as with most motels they do pay a lot of attention to the top of the wall hangings etc. on the positive side of being at the end of the property the was a series of trees screening the room so I could have the window open.
We had a very comfortable stay ; staff was very friendly ; location was excellent ; beds were very comfortable ; Wash room could be better especially in terms of shower ; breakfast was average & space was cramped in breakfast room - A VALUE FOR MONEY HOTEL
The front desk staff were sullen and unresponsive. A simple thank you from them would have gone a long way. They did not even know the correct Sunday Breakfast hours. The room was nicely decorated, recently remodeled however was very small..
Best Western supports occupation and annexation of Crimea. Our company used the hotel for the last 7 years but from now on it boycotts the BW because of their corporate policy that contradicts global law.
Checked in late at night without a reservation and was upgraded to a Business room with King Bed. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff were very attentive and professional. Breakfast variety was above average. Would recommend.
This is my third business visit to Hotel BEST WESTERN Silicon Valley Inn and just like last time. I'd like to come back for a visit when I can enjoy more of the amenities! Clean rooms, friendly staff, comfortable beds. I would recommend this hotel.
I stayed at Best Western based entirely on its proximity to my office, but ended up being quite pleased with the stay. The room was quiet, clean, and had all the basic amenities (including good WIFI). There is a small gym - it has one treadmill, an elliptical, and some weights. Breakfast is fairly standard continental breakfast, but there was a reasonable selection. The staff was friendly, but not overbearing. I would definitely stay there again.
It's the second time I've stayed at this hotel, the rooms are functional and clean, the bed comfotable, the bathroom clean, TV has big screen and is working, that's all I expect from what I would dare call a "second tier" hotel in the area - it's better than the Motel6 or DaysInn nearby, but it's below Sheraton or Larkspur Landing. The breakfast is basic, but included, and provides for a good start of the day. The breakfast room is way too small, though.
The room was clean but dark; the AC is loud; and the WiFi can only creep along. Nothing terrible happened during my stay, but at more than $200 a night, I expected a little more comfort. On the positive side, they did let me check in quite early (before noon). And the Murphy street "market" is only a short drive away, so no difficulties finding a place to eat.
we stayed here 2 nights in a King room for a reasonable price. Hotel and room were very clean and we had no disturbances by noise at night although room was located at the frontside Breakfast was satisfactory and service excellent. Will certainly return.
we've been in this area multiple times and for the price, we never know what to really expect. This hotel was close to everything we needed plus it was clean, quiet, very comfortable and in good working order. the only thing that comes to mind that was even questionable was the microwave in our room--it didn't have a good seal, but we didn't really use it anyway. I've never stayed in a hotel with such good internet reception--it never interrupted or made us re-authenticate every hour or even daily. The staff were very helpful and accommodating & housekeeping left us alone when we asked. Our room was upstairs in the main building & they have no elevator so bring your wheeled luggage. We have paid more for rooms that were far worse in Cali and other places as well. Nice to see a well kept property at a good rate like this one! we would return there again.
Clean and comfortable accommodations and rate is among the best in Silicon Valley. Easily as nice as hotels that charge 50% more. Location can't be beat for business travel: 10 min to Palo Alto, 10 min to SJ
Big clean Rooms; nice beds; efficient reception. Good location; The bathroom fittings are awful I was in 163 which is in a different building; no good restauraunts nearby. Clean and functional so if you are there for a few days and only need a decent place to sleep in, its OK. Helpful and friendly reception Extremely awful bathroom and shower fittings...you really have to struggle. Its an average place really. I am surprised that its got such good reviews; there is nothing to rave about
Place with extremely welcoming stuff, incredibly comfortable beds and great location in Sunnyvale. Rooms are huge, room service does an excellent job and there is, really, nothing to complain about. I can highly recommend this place.
Ordinary, is how i would describe my stay at BW. The rooms are reasonable and clean. However, I have never been in a BW room where the bathtub actually works. The plunger never fits. Our last stay had a whirl type feature, which was broken and never repaired. Oh well, like initially said, the room was ordinary. Nothing special. Good for business but not for pleasure
Comfortable room with Whirlpool tub. Services are good. People at reception are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection is good. Overall hotel is clean and maintained well. Ample car parking is available. It's near to all the top silicon valley companies, makes it very accessible.
Arrive at midnight, handled by 3 friendly staff, check was fast, information was accurate, everything just perfect. Inside the room was also perfect, perfect shower, perfect bathroom, perfect bed, perfect furniture, perfect tv, perfect microwave. Nothing to complain. Breakfast was great, they have cereal, juice, eggs, pancake, coffee, milk. Parking also great. Free Wifi
Staff made our stay very pleasant even though there was a power outage! Even brought us a candle and matches! Nice! They even made coffee in a room not affected and brought it all the way to the lobby! Sudha and Johnny get high praise. good breakfast! cool custom coffee dispenser with espresso!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days for a friend's wedding in downtown SF. The hotel is right off the freeway and located near restaurants and gas stations. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were extremely friendly. Wi-fi was fast and had no issues with it. Our only concern (and it was addressed to the lady at the front desk when we checked out) was that when we came back to our room last night.. we found our door to be wide open. My boyfriend and I frantically started to search the room to see if anything was missing and thankfully nothing was taken. We're not too sure how the door opened because we always make sure the door is fully closed before we head out and I had both our room keys at the time we found the door to be open so we're clueless to how the door was found open. We addressed it to the lady at the front desk and she was very nice and apologized. We told her that we were glad nothing was taken but we just wanted to let her know if in case there was an issue with the door or lock. She said she will definitely address it to management right away. Overall, this place was great and we will definitely be staying here if we're ever in the SF area again.
I recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel. While there is not much around (drive a short distance to Washington and Murphy Street's for great restaurants and shoppes) the hotel was a pleasant stay. I had a small issue upon arrival which I reported the next day, and the staff did a great job of making sure I was accommodated! For die-hard fitness buffs, the fitness machines are old, and the space small, but the free weight area (upstairs) made up for it. Breakfast choices were plentiful, and easy on/off the 101. I'd stay again.
Have not stayed very often at Best Western hotels - just haven't had very good luck. BUT this establishment has really changed my opinion! I would definitely stay here again on future business trips. Staff: The lobby staff was very helpful. Checkin/out was fast and accurate. Breakfast area was well maintained and clean. I never saw the cleaning personnel, but they did a great job on my room every day. Condition: Either new or freshly renovated, the hotel and room were in nice condition. Good sized room, everything worked as expected: fridge, lights, satellite, WiFi. No problems whatsoever. No pool on site, and I did not have the chance to see & use the exercise facility. I never had trouble finding a parking spot near the building entrance, and the lot was in great condition with nice landscaping outside the room windows. Breakfast: I really enjoyed it actually. Four individual smaller waffles could be made at a time, or less if desired. Eggs were standard hotel quick breakfast type, but with peppers and onions as a nice touch which tasted very good. Hot water on demand for oatmeal. Two separate seating areas with TV in both - plenty of seating for during the week business folks. Something often overlooked elsewhere is the capacity of the garbage keeping it from overflowing, but not here. The hotel had ample garbage receptacle with swinging door, and no mess. Sleep: My building was close to Mathilda, but traffic noise was not too bad at all. I had no trouble sleeping. King bed was nice, plenty of pillows. A/C was very effective. No trouble during my say with any adjacent room or hall noise. Really no complaints whatsoever. Just a few quirks to mention for future improvements: The bathtub faucet in my bathroom was rather difficult to turn on - I'm not sure a grade schooler could manage it, having to twist and pull strenuously to get water flowing. Likely just an artifact of the valve needing lubrication on the internal O-rings. Shower worked great, with nice pressure and temperature. The light above the sink, which was a nice light fixture and likely an upgrade, wasn't installed in the best manner possible - having wires exposed for a very short length before going behind the fixture (see picture). It's a shame to have such a nice room and fixtures but then an installation short-cut like that.
Everything was great: staff, manager, breakfast, cleanliness, decoration of the room, bathroom, wi-fi, localisation. We had a problem and manager helped us very much with no hesitate. Room was huge and clean. Price was very good too!
Clean hotel very well run that provides the basics for a shorter (3-4 days) business stay. Breakfast is very minimal and not great. Very affordable considering some of the other hotels in the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
This hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would stay here again in the future and recommend to others who are on business or pleasure. The fitness center was the only weak point as very little equipment was provided.
This hotel is very quiet and comfortable. Rooms are very good for the price, very clean and well maintained. As a woman traveling alone for work, it feels safe. My only complaint is the front desk men. Every time one of the women on staff checks me in, it is a pleasant experience. Every time one of the men checks me in, there is no eye contact, no smile, no welcome. It is like I am a bother to them. I stay here often and a little courtesy would be nice.
My husband and I stayed here while visiting for my cousin's wedding. Great value for silicon valley and lived up to everything we expected from a Best Western. Location is quiet and convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was free, filling and tasty. Wifi was good as well.
Honest hotel, with a simple room and a simple breakfast . Nice shower. Excellent location. The owner is very polite. We choose to move to an hotel near airport, because the price was the same and we category was superior. So we only spend a night in this hotel.
Overall it's a nice experience. Quiet. Wifi is good. Close to some restaurants. Worth the value. Staff are polite and helpful, although sometimes one may need to wait for a short while to get service at lobby, since there is only one receptionist.
The hotel is very nice and inviting. The décor is great, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are very nice and clean. The rooms are little smaller but worked well for me. The room has a refrigerator and microwave. The complimentary breakfast was very good with lots of options. There are restaurants (fast food and otherwise) nearby. There's also a Lucky's Supermarket nearby. Quick access to the highway.
I stay at this hotel any time that I have reason to spend time in the Silicon Valley area. I find the location, the property, and the staff best meet my needs in this location. The property is central to high tech businesses in the area, as well as to Mountain View Hospital. I have had no security issues in this area and the front desk staff works hard to accommodate me on sometimes short notice.
Walls are not brick so you can hear everything in the rooms next door. Breakfast is beyond oathetic...paper cups and paper plates with limited variety. Good for a night but i wouldn't stay there again. Also there is nothing you can walk to so need a car or uber.
Hotels in the Bay area are super expensive. Please take that into account. This one makes it under my company's per diem rate. It's a nice, simple place, with a very kind and attentive staff, clean rooms, and just what I want for the free breakfast. Within walking distance of a supermarket. Fast food right across the street. One downside is that cars park facing your room, mere feet away.. I sleep like a log, but if you're a light sleeper that might annoy you.
The Hotel is sufficient for just over night staying. The rooms and Hotel seems to be in a "older state". The breakfast is average, but less fruits or fresh food. Really annoying was the allday running bathroom ventilator from the neighbour. Also the near by Street is still "present".
I used this spot for a quick nap when swinging thru to visit with NASA Ames. This is an older hotel, but my room was clean and comfortable. I arrived around 11 PM and the gentleman working the check in was very nice. The room was fine. A little cramped, but good enough. The next morning the new desk man was very helpful in assessing the gluten safeness of some of the options.
We did our homework, and this BW is one of the few hotels for around $100 on the weekend! Very nice property with all the amenities except...NO POOL! This place is more expensive during the week thanks to all the internet companies nearby! It is spread out over 4 buildings and luxury suites are available. It has been renovated so still looks pretty new. Washer and Dryer worked well and were just down the hall. The breakfast is fantastic except for the tater tots! Hmm? Bit the coffee dispenser machine is to die for! I want one! Uses fresh beans and at the press of a button your choice is decanted on the spot! Mocha, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, you can even add a shot of espresso! Had a very nice stay!
This motel was pleasant, very clean, and provided bath supplies, plenty of nice towels, and a coffee pot and packets of ground coffee for it. (Suggestion: we tea drinkers would have liked tea bags and creamers as well.) The internet was readily available. Our only complaint would be about the breakfast: while ample, it wasn't very good. It was high in starch and sugar, low in protein. The coffee and tea were fine, though. All together, I would stay there again.
It was my first trip to SJ.The hotel location was in a sound place and near the highways. But it was quite noizy to the neighbor room, and I was waken up before 6AM.So it was expensive for paying $180 for a night compard to other motels. And also there was not so much items for breakfast.
I stayed for 3 nights for business at the Best Western Silicon Valley Inn, Sunnyvale. Very good stay for the money in Silicon Valley. Breakfast was better than expected and coffee machine in the lobby all day. Fridges, microwaves and coffee machines in the rooms were good and added to my stay as my company has a budget for travel.
Best Western Silicon Valley took care of all my needs and kept me comfortable on my business trip. Not luxurious, but clean and efficient. The building looked new, the bathroom was spotless. The Best Western Silicon Valley was exactly what I needed.
Rooms are suitable for single person not more than two. WiFi connection is too slow. Complementary breakfast is not as much expected. Even pool was not so good. But, apart from all these cleaning, maintaining is good. And there are good restaurants are near to it within in a mile. Preferred for short term stay than long term stay.
I am extremely satisfied with our stay at the hotel. It is close to many locations and has very clean and nice interior and guest rooms. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Lot of options for breakfast.
Unfortunately, you are stuck with few good choices in Silicon Valley that are good and don't cost an arm and a leg at last mins. I have probable passed this motel for 10years. I finally needed to stay here, although not cheap (210) the day I needed to stay it was my only choice that was available and not spend 300-500. I thought for one night, we will try. Check in was fine. I asked not to be by the busy street, but that was not an option because of the room I booked. The street noise ended up not being an issue. It was quiet. The room smelled staled, almost like it was an old smoking room. I called the front desk at around 8pm to ask if I could get a deodorizer for the room to get the smell out. They said sure, but I would need to come and get it. Here is the problem, it was in the 30's and I asked if the buildings connected without me having to go outside, across the dark parking lot. The answer was no, and I would have to come and get it if I wanted it..... Wonderful customer service...not. Won't return, old, my room smelled staled, and no customer service. I will say the breakfast looked good, but I did not eat there.
Our room suffered from an ant infestation in the bathroom. We attempted to find the source of the infestation; there were a few possibilities from a hole in the grouting around the tub to a partially covered hole above the bathroom mirror. We didn't have a problem with them initially, we simply cleaned them up. On the second day, they found their way into the main room, we saw them on the lamps and the table where our belongings were stashed. We checked out that day so we did not need to switch rooms. On the plus side, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast, while limited, was of good quality and it was free with both hot and cold selections plus coffee and juice. The housekeeping staff started their rounds around 830am and they are some of the nicest and most accommodating people you will meet. Parking is ample. Though the hotel wasn't full, there definitely were enough spaces for the number of rooms. The rooms offer Dish TV plus fast WiFi internet, a mini fridge to hold your perishables and in room coffee if you desire. The bed isn't the most comfortable, however it is clean and well kept. The bed rests on a metal base that flexes depending on how you lay on it. This causes the base to make an odd noise that will keep you scratching your head until you realize what is going on. Like most budget hotel chains, the in room soap/shampoo is fairly cheap so if you are particular or if you expect a certain level of suds from your soap, it may be wise to bring your own. The water temperature fluctuated a bit during our showers which was a bit irritating, especially when it went cold. This would be a great place to room for a few days while you're in Sunnyvale on business/leisure if they are able to take care of the ant issue.
The bed was by far the most comfortable I have had at any hotel. Overall the room was good. The lobby smelled like smoke but that was possibly the other guests checking in. Free wi-fi and cable was nice. Bathroom layout could be better, the door opens and blocks the sink and half the vanity.
It was a great experience staying at Best Western Sunnyvale. Both Kesh and Piyush were very helpful. Helped in suggesting good eating places, booking taxi etc. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
I feel right at home when I stay at this Hotel Every thing you need is within walking distance. They treat you first class always .Friendly staff and ell managed. A Good value for the stay and the grounds are well kept. I wouldn't have a problem recommending a stay here.
I stayed there more than a month. I enjoyed a lot and had a good experience with the hotel employees. You will get pork always which most Indians won't take. Those who doesn't like have to stay with egg/fruits/corn flakes which is available. Potatoes will be served one/two days in a week. Hotel has 3 different rates in a week. Weekend rate is low. You will not get lunch or dinner, please plan accordingly. But we have lots and lots of hotel nearby to have food.
Value for money, this is a very good place. The fitness room is very small (but usually empty...), there's breakfast included, and a high speed, high quality internet. Overall, I was very happy with the stay, and would most likely visit again,
Arrived really late (1AM), didn't really do much other than sleep. TV was broken, but Wifi was good enough for NetFlix. Nothing special about the room. Typical economical room for the area. Not sparklingly clean and new, but clean enough and updated enough for a single night stay. I found some of the staff rude. When I mentioned that the TV was broken at checkout, I got a bunch of attitude and blame for not reporting it the night before. (I guess it is my fault for getting the room with the broken TV) I didn't care about the TV and I would not have even mentioned the it in this review had it not been for the casting of blame I got at checkout. If I had reported the TV, I am sure they would have fixed it, but the fact that they blamed me to lessen their own feelings of guilt is what upset me. I figure a "thanks for letting us know about the TV so we can get it fixed" would have been more professional. Unless I had no other choice I would not return.
Room was fine (a colleague got bed bug bites though) - everything outside the room was dreadful. Rude staff, horrible breakfast. Also awoken by prostitutes (we think) in the hall way. Staying for business - have recommended to the business never to use this hotel again. For the price there were many better options available.
The Hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. I always enjoy my stay at Best Western in Sunnyvale, Ca. Their breakfast has improve a lot, you get more for your money here:) the location is helpful, its near freeways and expressway too.
Room is clean and everything working, good breakfast. Not a luxurious hotel but good value considering cheaper price. I would not mind staying here again. There is a Lucky's supermarket just south of the hotel on Mathilda.
Although pretty far from the lobby, my room smelled of the breakfast buffet - had to stuff towels around the door to block it. Shower had very low pressure, and door slamming and creaking walls kept waking me up in the middle of the night. On the positive side - room was clean & tidy, free wifi worked great and the bed was very comfortable.
The room was clean but very small. I noticed people living at the hotel which is a big turn off for me. The rates need to go down based on the exterior shape of the building. Hotel is outdated given the excellent location. I would probably stay again "IF" the hotel owner(s) update the hotel.
The staff was particularly accommodating from check-in to check-out. Prices are high in the general area, but this proved to be a good value. Clean, convenient, excellent service. We would choose to stay here again when in the Palo Alto area.
This is an older building, but our room was very clean. Nothing fancy here and the rates were pretty fair as there weren't many amenities other than a complimentary breakfast, which was good. Our biggest complaint is that the room we were given had a window with a "shower door" type glass so you couldn't see out of it, making the room dark. Not sure why this room had this since the others did not. We should have asked to move, but didn't bother once we were in. Kind of a tacky feature! Overall, average stay at this hotel.
This is an old hotel, needs updating and is not worth the high rates they charge. However, the location of the hotel is great and therefore many tourists/business people pay the price. We appreciated the free Wifi and the breakfast was fine, including biscuits and grits - very nice for a change. The eating area is next to the lobby and is very small and noisy. The building our room was in had no physical connection to the main building that contained the lobby and breakfast area. Not so nice is cooler weather. The beds in our room were good, but the carpet and shower curtains were not. The room needs updating and also needs a safe in it. We've stayed at many Best Westerns and this one was disappointing.
Great location for corporate offices. Close to numerous restaurants and shops. The hotel is somewhat dated with an older décor. Hotel room on the second floor had a rood leak that was poorly repaired. In fact, stucco feel down from the ceiling on me while I was in bed. The room door has significant gaps around the perimeter, which allowed light to permeate into the room during the day and at night. Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating at check-in.
Stayed here for business for a week in Sep15. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom could do with a remodel and the shower was on the wimpy side. It's handy for access to Mountain View but that's about it.
Spent 15 days in this Hotel in the first half of September, and was not disappointed even a bit ! In Best Western you usually know what to expect and you get it. The Hotel is very conveniently located just off major HWYs - 101 and 237, so that access to various parts of Silicon Valley is easy (within 10~15 miles). The rooms are clean and comfortable, although a bit small, related to other Hotels in the area. Still definitely sufficient for two persons. Hot Breakfast (included in the room price) is basic, but well cooked and fresh. The Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful - a small issue we had in a bathroom was fixed practically immediately after we've reported about it. I'll definitely consider staying in this Hotel again, when in the area.
Hotel is clean and bed is comfortable. Internet service is very fast although my ATT only had one-two bars in my room so a bit challenging for phone calls from mobile. Room is pretty spacious and walking distance from small shopping center with Lucky Store and multiple food restaurants. Breakfast is included and has an OK offering, waffles, bacon, eggs, cereal, toast, etc.
