Clean rooms, close to hwy, friendly staff

We entered our room and noticed it had just been cleaned which we appreciated however, the floors were drenched.. literally puddles in some areas.. I had to wipe the whole floor with towel so we could remove our shoes and our AC unit was leaking water had to place a towel under it. Other than those 2 minor issues the stay was fantastic... the hotel was very clean and inviting.

This hotel brand (Glö Best Western) offers a truly free hot breakfast. Sausage, scrambled eggs, hot potatoes, Along with waffles , assorted pastries , fruits , coffee and orange juice. The hotel itself is relatively new and very modern. In your room, you can scan a QR Code which will then lead you to all the hotels amenities.Even offering flight departure times, Local amenities such as restaurants , banks and even the Tangiers Outlet Mall information. Very good suburbian location , right off the freeway , with plenty of restaurants right down the street.

Other than the AC being quite noisy the room was very clean and comfortable. Front desk staff friendly and efficient. Buffet breakfast is good, hot, fresh and adequate

It was very clean, we were there for soccer tournament and it was closer to the place. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was good. Overall cleanliness 5 star.

Your staff were wonderful and so helpful especially during a stressful time (basement at my house flooded with sewage during the infamous July 1st storm in Ottawa). I loved that you have a grip bar in the shower and would suggest during your next renovations that you add a grip bar at the toilet. I also liked that I could easily adjust the temperature in the room and the change was nearly instantaneous. And they you allow food delivery drivers to deliver meals straight to hotel room as opposed to having to go the lobby. Finally, I'm extremely grateful for the lack of scented products in the hotel. When I arrived in my room there was no smell and as someone who is extremely sensitive to fragrance that was appreciated. Only fragrance I noted was the floor cleaner when I was waiting in the lobby for my ride to return home after checking out.

The room was modern and clean and the king-sized bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, there was a lot of noise from the highway, especially in the early morning, that disturbed our sleep. Also, we were able to access only two channels on the television. (Instructions on using the remote control might have helped -- I'm not sure.) If we return, we will specify a preference for a room away from the highway and ask for instructions on using the TV.

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Only complaint is that there is not outdoor sitting area, not even a bench. The property is beautiful and would benefit from some kind of outdoor seating

Location was in a quiet suburb and was a good price point per night for the size of the room, Most of the time the cleaner where great overall with some days forgetting to provide coffee/ tea pods or a floor mat for the room (Which you can just ask staff at reception for that item if needed) TV doesn't have too many channels to view so plan around if you like to watch programs consistently, Staff were friendly and able to assist with any inquiries I needed with efficiency.

The hotel is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood right off the highway. It was very easy to get to and there were plenty of parking spaces. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean with a spacious shower.

Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows had a great sleep. I never heard a thing very quiet. The room was very clean and the shower was nice and hot with great water pressure. I only 3 little things I would fix or add the toilet was a little jiggly when you sat on it, the TV could have a few more channels and the vending machines could have bottled water in them.

This hotel got a complete revamp not that long ago so everything has a pleasant modern clean feel. Our King room away from the highway was big and very quiet. Two odd things about the room: 1) a chair that was HUGE - about 3 feet wide and 3 feet from backrest to knee point it might work for an overweight Basketball player but was unusable for a "normal" person. 2) The bathroom sink was very high, perfect for said basketball player but a struggle for anyone much less than 6 feet tall.

Location was great . Breakfast was nice . Room was clean. But we had no hot water in the room. We reported to front desk.

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The housekeeping, however, was not great: the empty Kleenex box was not refilled and garbage was not collected. In addition, the room above walked very loudly, and although the hotel can't force them to not stomp around, the noise travelled surprisingly well through the floor.

I had a very disappointing experience at GLō Best Western Kanata Ottawa West (December 5, 2025). During my stay, a backpack containing personal belongings, including brand-name clothing, with an estimated value of approximately $800–$1000 CAD, went missing. I clearly remember a staff member handling one of my bags, but it was never returned to me. When I contacted the hotel, there was little to no effort made to properly investigate the situation, and no clear answers were provided. I have since filed a police report regarding this incident. This is very concerning, especially given the lack of accountability and follow-up from both the hotel and Best Western. I would strongly recommend being cautious with your personal belongings if staying here.

Experience was great - suite was fantastic! Only issue was the complete screw up of our reservation, which hopefully will be sorted out by BW later

Clean room and hotel environment was pretty good. Nice costumer service and fast check in and check out. The breakfast options was the same as other 3- Stars hotel.

The hotel location was perfect for attending an Ottawa senators game. It was clean, the staff were friendly and had everything we needed for the night. The room was well thought out, clean and everything worked without issues. A very nice added bonus was the white noise machine in the room, which is something I've never seen in a hotel before! Overall we were very happy. Great value for everything we got with Glo!

Great location. Quiet. Wonderful staff

Overall my wife and I were quite impressed by GLO! Everything was new and clean. There was one serious disappointment though for me, although it is not a "deal breaker". I have a hearing impairment and cannot follow any TV show without seeing closed captions. The TV remote has a button for captions. I pressed that and toggled the "captions" option. It lit up. NO CAPTIONS! I repeated this a few time, but no success. I went down to the front desk to see what i was doing wrong. I was informed that even though that option appeared on the menu displayed, it had not been activated for the hotel. I spent my screen time watching netflix on my 6" smartphone with captions there.

Charged for a room we did not use. Sour milk at the breakfast bar. Door lock broken. Friendly and helpful staff. Poorly managed.

Not the type of people to write reviews or complain but this was disgusting. Most of the hotel was fine, but our room was infested with ANTS. We noticed how bad it was at 2am the night before we would be checking out early. Mentioned it at the front desk upon check out with no attempt to make it right.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Even though there was a kid's hockey tournament staying there the room was quiet. Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Location was good, staff was friendly. Room was weird, had barn style door for the bathroom that did not give privacy with the crack in the door that did not shut tight. Fire alarm was not in the room, just wires there??? Other than that the room was clean and service was good. Break was good, had eggs, sausage and waffles. The home fries looked like they were reheated and not crispy - did not eat them.

Great experience, very clean and modern. Went to Kanata for a hockey tournament and we couldn't have picked a better location. Close to all amenities. The front desk staff were kind and the cleaning staff did an amazing job.

Great hotel. Close to all the spots we had to go to. Staff was wonderful and were always there to help us when needed. The rooms were great and the lounge area was perfect for our group to get together to meet up and have dinner.

Our stay was short and sweet. The rooms were nice and clean, comfortable bed, nice big bathroom. Breakfast was really good. Eggs, sausage, waffles, hash browns, bagels/toast, yogurt, fruit. We had a little problem with our late check out request - but after some conversation we were granted a late check out by 20 minutes with no charge - I did call ahead and request this and a note was on my file but the front desk person originally wanted to charge us $50. Glad it was resolved, but a little stressful.

The suite was great. It was all i hoped it would be. However, the thermostat in the sitting room was defective. The screen was black. The unit kept pumping out either heat or cold. Also, the seal on the shower door was half off the door when we arrived. When i went down to speak to the desk, there was nobody there. I called out, and even walked into the back down to the lockers. Even after going out for a few hours for supper, the desk was empty upon our return. The breakfast was good, but the plastic cutlery is a little tacky. Impossible to spread cold butter with a plastic knife. Great hotel, but management need improvement.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The front desk welcomed us as soon as we arrived and gave us all the information we required for our stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated, very clean and quiet, it was a great visit.

This hotel is located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Well maintained and 5 minutes away from restaurants. Good breakfast but no pool if you're looking for one. Staff we amazing.

Location was great. Room was amazing. Wish there were more Best Western Glo hotels in other Ontario cities, other than Ottawa. Enjoyed our stay very much.

This is a very nice hotel. I don't really have any complaints other than being in a room facing the highway which was constant traffic noise 24/7 and the people above me banging around until 3:00 a.m. neither of those are the fault of the hotel though but if I were to go back and stay here again I would stay on the other side and a top floor room.

It has a quiet neighborhood on one side and the 417 on the other. Seemed safe. Clean. Front desk was friendly and informative and called a cab for us. Short drive to the CTC. There was a little highway noise as we were on the north side but did not keep us awake. Decent breakfast options. The rooms have hard flooring so you want slippers for comfort. A little pricey for not having a pool or hot tub but for our one night stay for a concert it was more than ok.

A very comfortable and convenient hotel experience. Our room was spacious and pleasant, the environment was surprisingly quiet and had restaurants and walks close by. The staff were very helpful.

My stay at this hotel was excellent! The bathroom was spotless, the room was very clean, and the bed linens were crisp and fresh. You can tell the property is well cared for and maintained. What really stood out was the breakfast service. Even at 9am on a Sunday morning, the food station was being carefully restocked. The gentleman working in food service deserves special recognition—he hustled to keep everything hot, fresh, and well presented, as if the day had just started. His effort and professionalism truly made a difference. Highly recommend this hotel for both comfort and outstanding service!

Really liked that it was modern and fresh. Toilet seats that lower slowly is a plus. Laminate flooring means no musty 100-year old carpet smells. Complimentary breakfast was perfect for a good start to the day. The in-suite Modio white noice machine worked well and came in handy. We generally travel with our own white noise machine for the exact same reasons. The room was serviced most days during our 7 night stay. When it was we found it clean and fresh for our night. The daytime staff were quite accommodating for our needs. They ensured all was right, if it wasn't, they made it right. Some areas of improvement are required. As a suggestion, the hotel has beautiful 65" Samsung Smart TVs in each room, yet they aren't connected to the Internet or enable connectivity or an option for streaming services (YouTube, Netflix, Disney, Apple, etc.), instead you have this nice system connected to basic cable. We stayed 7 nights and would have really enjoyed the ability to watch our shows. We stayed in two rooms (one on the 3rd floor and moved the next night and one on the 4th floor). The first room, the blackout blinds didn't close properly, weren't level or something, in any case they created and issue. The stomping of footsteps above us was the real reason to move rooms to one on the top floor. The toilet seat in 423 is lose to the floor so it wobbles when you sit or stand (might want to look at it before it becomes a problem). Would have been great for our 7 night stay King to have been upgraded to the King Suite, especially as a Diamond Select member and considering the hotel seemed to have been light on guests throughout the week. So it goes.

Room was clean. Staff were very helpful. They should consider something better like additional sound protection glasses to filter the sound coming from highway traffic the whole night.

It's a clean and simple place. Good for a short stay. The shower is not great due to low pressure. I would not use this hotel for long -term stays.

This is an excellent place to stay. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast area and food is comparable to other places we have stayed. The top up is that this hotel is exceptionally clean . One of the best hotels I have stayed in during my trip this summer. I give this hotel 10/10.

Booked a group of hotels here for my clients. Amazing atmosphere, with spacious rooms and tremendous service. Located in the west end right off the highway, location is tremendous as well.

A clean hotel with very large rooms - and quite comfortable beds. The staff were helpful, and the breakfast had some good variety and was well above board. I would recommend, except that on my final night the room next to me had a bunch of young guys in it that decided to party until after midnight and play loud music, and repeatedly slam doors before they ultimately got into a shouting match around 2 am. Any hotel that can't manage this kind of situation should automatically have a caution flag thrown up.

Very good staff. The rooms were clean and tidy. Me and my family enjoyed the included breakfast which had plenty of options and variety. When I'm in Ottawa, I'll definitely be back to this hotel again. P.S. The only minor gripe is that air conditioner was quite loud

After a long trip we arrived at the hotel only to wait 15 minutes while another guest was checked in. There was only 1 staff member at the desk. When it was our turn he was equally slow. It took forever for him to find a room. There was no greeting; enjoy the stay or provide any information about the hotel such as wifi/breakfast, etc. We were given a handicapped room (we did not ask for it) but thought we didn't mind as it was in a quiet area which we had requested. We noticed right away the incredible dust on the shelf that held the towels in the bathroom as well as around the lights in the bedroom. We left the hotel for the evening & when we returned to hopefully have a good night's sleep we realized we had the worst mattress imaginable. It rolled to the centre with NO support in it at all. The pillows were think & offered no support or comfort. If we hadn't been so tired we would have requested a change of room. With the slowness of finding the room to begin with we felt we could make due for one night. In hindsight we should have changed rooms. Our backs were sore for days as a result of the bed. There was only one couple in the breakfast room in the morning but no clean tables or chairs. No staff around in the breakfast room or the front desk. We cleaned a table & chairs ourselves to sit at with our family. We soon realized the cold water dispenser was empty & the yoghurt was out of a dispenser! There was the bare minimum of items available. Eventually a staff member arrived & did clean some tables- at the end of our breakfast. When I asked a staff member if I could speak with a manager to express my concerns his response was no one was in & he didn't know when they would be! Really? Right after talking to him a fellow in a suit arrived at the front desk. I asked if he was a manager & he told me he was. Odd that the staff said no one was there! I explained the issues to him & he apologized & said he'd look into it. I didn't have a lot of confidence that would happen. Why a hotel of the Best Western quality would give a guest a horrible mattress like we got was beyond my understanding. It did not become sunken overnight so must have been like that for months if not years. A disabled person having to get out of that bed would be a major challenge. This hotel needs to improve it's bed quality, housekeeping, breakfast room cleanliness & food offerings & lastly improve the staff attitude & competence.

While the room was clean, the noise was awful on the highway side… which is where all the king beds are! The front desk was not manned for at least 2 hours in the early morning and when we asked for change to do our laundry, they told us to go find some at a store. Awful!

Very modern design of hotel, inside and out. Happy to see that there were EV chargers for non-Tesla plug vehicles. Staff kept all public spaces spotless - very impressed. Bathroom was impressive - open, well lit and not cramped in the least, with high end fixtures and appliances.

Returning to the Best Western Kanata GLO hotel is always a pleasant experience that leaves one totally refreshed. From food, service, and room quality, the expectations are always fulfilled setting the stage for a restful, pleasant stay after a long tiring day.

Staff were professional and very helpful. Helped us with transportation to hockey arena and suggested restaurants near by The building was well maintained and the rooms perfect! Parking was good. Close to Canadian Tire Center and shopping. Would highly recommend this hotel for families and couples.

Paper plates and plastic utensils in the breakfast room. Spreading cold butter on toast with a plastic knife is impossible. Also, salt, pepper, and ketchup all come in packets. I seems that the hotel is working to minimize the employees workload at the expense of the guests.

Room was dark and clean Late check out is $ 50 maximum 2 hours or you need to pay a whole day . Too expensive for no service in a vacant hotel. I feel late check out should be free when the hotel I Empty. Paying for a whole second night is excessive. Just so you know.

The room was immaculate. The EV chargers are aplenty and they all work. The breakfast is good. Front staff are very helpful. The gym is clean. Bed is comfortable and there are plenty of pillows and duvets. It felt like staying at an Alt Hotel without paying the St-Germain prices.

Most hotels in Ottawa are around the same price ($180s/Night) so highly recommend this one for a few reasons. - Parking close to entrance - Soft beds & pillows - Good area & close to shops such as Walmart - Highway very close to go to different areas if needed All and all was probably the best hotel we stayed at travelling to eastern Canada.

Very comfortable & clean. Best hotel bed I've slept in!! Breakfast was very good. My only complaint would be the hwy out front, which was a little noiser than I'm used to for sleeping... but the bed made up for that! I would definitely come back and highly recommend.

We had a nice one night stay at hotel and free hot and cold breakfast in morning. Hubby did hear some kind of a ruckus outside our room during the night but I didn't. Bathroom was very nice but could use stronger water pressure. I used some rewards points to lower cost of room.

I had an issue with check in and I was told management was not there, they did not know when they would be there and no one followed up with me. Service is almost non-existent, breakfast is deplorable and the coffee was inedible. Nice room, well cleaned but the positives end there.

Room and cleanliness was ok. Breakfast was good. My wife got locked out of our room and I feel the hotel staff should have done more to help, her id and belongings were locked inside the room and we were 6 hours from home. Making her wait an hour and a half in the hallways was just unnecessary.

Amazing staff! Our room was so clean and comfortable! We felt welcomed as soon as we walked in! Free parking on site was a plus! Elite member parking, electric car parking with charging stations! Breakfast was great. Overall great experience and will return again!

the rooms appearance was very modern, clean and fresh. i had a good nights sleep the bed and pillow were very comfortable. breakfast was included and was pretty good. the coffee was excellent. im a platinum member and was presented with a gift bag upon arrival that included a bottle of water, granola bar and a bag of chips. That was a nice touch.

Wish our bus was accommodated as far as parking goes. We went as a group and spent a lot of money at your hotel and our bus had to be parked off site. Location was great, close to all the rinks we had games at. Lobby and breakfast was good, except breakfast attendant didn't do well at restocking when items were out, bagels and cream cheese.

Enjoyable stay. Had no issues checking or checking out. Room was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast in the morning had enough items to choose from. There is plenty of room the park vehicles with options for electric. Room and areas were clean and bright.

Staff were great. Let us use lobby breakfast area for team meals and gatherings. It was perfect. Nice and clean and friendly staff! Rooms were nice and breakfast had good options. We will be back when we come to Ottawa for other tournaments!!

We found the hotel very clean and the rooms to be very nice and spacious. The decor of the rooms and the hotel were also really well done. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, which made for a great sleep. The breakfast served was great!! The tea and coffee area is a 24hr service which is very accommodating. We are very excited to stay again the next time we will be in the Ottawa/Kenata area!

Great hotel, super clean, good breakfast. Rooms are nice layout, good size bathroom, great shower. We stayed as part of a sports team and the hotel was awesome - staff were super accommodating. We even were able to arrange a catered meal from a local restaurant and the hotel was able to accommodate in the breakfast area.

When we got ther we saw a couple of ants in the bathroom, but didn't think anything of it. When we woke up the next morning our bed was crawling with them as well as our bathroom and desk. We reported the problem expecting follow up/compensation from the manager - but nothing ever came of it. Very Gross

I stayed for two nights during my last visit to ottawa, the hotel rooms were great, very neat rooms, I like the coffee maker in my room, check in and check out process was seamless, and the staffs were very polite, I also also enjoyed my morning breakfast.

Staff was really friendly and professional. The rooms were spacious but ideally it looks like it could use some work to update. The breakfast was subpar, some of the items were getting harder, if they cooked it more in small batches and brought it out. Things wouldn't get as hard/old.

Very clean, good size, modern rooms. Friendly staff. The location is convenient to the Canadian Tire Centre for events. Enjoyed the bright, clean breakfast room and continental breakfast. The only complaint I would have is the bathroom needs better lighting or a makeup mirror.

Great location close to Canadian Tire Centre, important for us as we were going to a concert there. Fluffy, lovely pillows, comfy bed, clean, friendly staff. Great included continental breakfast where we could get waffles, eggs, sausages, toast, bagels, yogurt, juice etc.

Stayed here one night on business because all of my other usual choices were sold out. Checked and asked for a room that did not face the 417 directly across from the hotel. Was explained to me that only the Queen rooms faced the residential street so I proceeded up to my King room. The noise was so bad that as a heavy sleeper, I knew I would not sleep....even with this so called white noise machine cranked. Proceeded back down to reception and asked for one of the queen rooms. I was told that there was a $30 per night upcharge over the King room for a Queen. I pushed back asking for the same rate given the room was charged already and they told me no...take it or leave it. I asked for a manager and apparently at 4:00 she was gone for the day and not back until 10:00 the next morning...long after i need to leave. Poor customer service and as a result never staying here again...for the extra $30 I had MUCH nicer options when I was booking instead of being stuck in the middle of nowhere in a residential neighborhood

The customer service we received from the afternoon front desk clerk V was absolutely amazing. He was so helpful and kind one of the best customers service experiences I had in a very long time. The room was great I also loved the clean sticker on the door when we got to our room. It was very comforting to have no doubt that it was cleaned. Would highly recommend to family friends and business associates

Started promising but not a safe place to stay. Left my things with the manager and owner after checkout and when I came back, some of my things had been stolen. They paid me for the items but the point is, they have a thief working there and did nothing to reassure me. I asked them to call me to let me know what happened as they said they have security cameras and would check, but nothing. A safe place to stay on business is the most importantly thing for women travellers. I also have a disability so not sure if they thought they could take further advantage because of this. First and last time I stay at a Best Western. Too bad because I'm coming to the area weekly for the next two years and was hoping this was going to be the hotel I use. Pretty sure they did nothing about it. Crazy thing is several members of the Toronto police were staying there at the same time so the person obviously didn't care and is now an emboldened thief. I stay in hotels for work about 200 nights a year and this has never happened at other hotels.

Wonderful staff! Clean modern rooms! Awesome roomy showers! Breakfast was great with lots of options and kept very clean and kept stocked with fresh hot choices. The beds were comfortable for hotel beds. It could use a pool but not a big deal.

Very clean common areas and room, and modern unique styling. If you like a lot of pillows on your bed, you'll be very happy. Only 2 luggage carts for the building was only inconvenience. Breakfast offerings were standard. The hotel was busy, but it was very quiet.

The Hotle is nice BUT they need to perfect all the offerings. A reset on how the hotel operates and clear and concise details when booking, cause you will not win the argument if things are not like they seem. Fine tuning in a few areas will make this a go to all the time.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and comfortable beds. We had a great and relaxing time. Very close to highway and lots of options for places to eat and shop around. I would highly recommend to those looking for a place to stay just outside Ottawa.

The rooms are clean, the beds are extremely comfortable. The water in the shower is hot (love that, too many places are only warm). The greeting at the front desk was very friendly, helpful. All around was a wonderful stay, will definitely recommend and stay again, when passing through Ottawa. Thank you.

The room was clean and devor was funky. Something different was great. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean.Staff was very friendly and kind. Location of hotel was safe and residetial area was beaitful. We walked to restaurant. We saw a wild turkey on our walk, we spoke with other walkers and turkey is free range. ? There is a walking trail nearby.

Location good. Security and reception not good. House keeping and breakfast staff were saving grace for this hotel. They were better than reception staff. Handicap access at back of hotel instead of front. Charged $200 upfront for card and said it will drop off in few days. Still waiting for this charge to drop off. Not sure why it was really needed. Other BW don't do this charge.

We have stayed here a few times before. The hotel is clean and bright. The staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel has everything we needed. Please note, this hotel does not have a pool. We would definitely stay wt this hotel again in the future.

I had reserved an accessible roll-in shower room. The room was very spacious. The bathroom was extremely spacious and had a fixed grab bar and a pull down grab bar at the toilet. There was plenty of room for the electric wheelchair in the bathroom. The shower was perfect. The room was very comfortable.

Requested early check-in at 10am - was advised earliest check-in 2:30. At 1:30 went to hotel to see if any rooms completed due to having medical procedure done at 9am. Front desk attendant said can't check in into 230. I said there are no rooms ready? I explained due to medical. Well for $50 can check in. Went out cam back at 220 sat in lobby until 230 and original front desk attendant left counter so another agent checked us in. Advised front desk attendant that the BW direct site shows room had dropped - would not honour advertised rate.

Staff at front desk was very attentive for check in and out. Our room had a good selection of fluffy pillows, clean sheets. The room was clean and functional, with a big screen tv. The queen beds were very comfortable. A/C was easy to adjust, but was noisy. Quite a good selection of food for breakfast.

Stayed on night to see a concert at the Canadian Tire Centre. Room was very clean, staff were pleasant. Continental breakfast was decent. Location close enough for a quick uber to the show and back. Also close to outlet mall and lots of restaurants.

Excellent hotel. Good location. 6 minute drive to outlets, 20 minute walk to restaurants. Comfy beds. Clean rooms and cleaned each day. Was fantastic that we could sit in lobby area as a group (8 families) eat, talk watch tv together. Loved continental breakfast before we left for our tournament each morning. Highly recommend

This hotel is clean from the lobby to the room. The bed and bed linens were so fresh and cozy. I had a wonderful sleep. Plenty of towels and face clothes for just 2 of us. And all for a reasonable price! We enjoyed our stay and would stay again with Glo.

I reserved a single king size bed room that was both clean and well maintained. The bathroom had a very generous size, and the bed provided a comfortable night's sleep. While the breakfast may not have been exceptional, it was decent enough to start the day.

Room were clean spacious and comfortable. Staff weee courteous and professional. I would stay again. Oh. He breakfast was amazing. Don't put minimum characters to rate as this will be a deterrent for future ratings. I pretty much stated everything and it was a positive stay at the hotel. Would go back in a jiffy.

The room was beautiful, and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The bed was so comfortable, best sleep I've had in a while. Wifi was stable enough to stream sports and gaming. Breakfast was fresh, and great selection too. I will definitely stay again.

Upon arrival (Jan 10, 2024), we were met by a staff member at the front desk. This staff member seemed a bit short, and kind of as if we were an inconvenience. Didn't think too much of it, everyone has bad days, and everyone has different personalities, but my wife and I both noticed and commented to eachother upon settling into our room. The room itself was clean and satisfactory. The following morning Jan 11, 2024), we made our way to the lobby for breakfast at approximately 8:00am. It was pretty much what you would expect for a continental breakfast, but the breakfast sausages resembled microwaved hotdogs (both taste and smell). Not a big deal, the breakfast was included, so can't really complain. Upon finishing breakfast, at approximately 8:30am, we headed back up to our room to enjoy the last couple hours before checkout (at 11:00am), however, our door would not open. Neither key card would work, so I took the keys back down to the front desk to inform the hotel staff. This time, the front desk was attended by a much happier, more friendly staff member (Evan), who kindly activated two new keys for us. I took the elevator back up to our room where my wife was patiently waiting in the hall. Unfortunately, the newly activated keys still did not work, and the door still wouldn't open. Back down to the front desk, where Evan was shocked to see me again. Evan brought the hotel master key with him and followed me back to our room to see if he could gain access for us. Still no luck. At this point, Evan was very apologetic and went back to the front desk to contact his manager and the hotel maintenance staff. When Evan returned, he indicated the manager was on his way, but gave him a trick to try to see if he could open the door. Still no luck. Evan indicated the manager would be a little while as he was coming from across town, but we were welcome to wait in the lobby. As we were on the third floor, and Evan had to make multiple trips up/down the stairs to contact his manager, this ordeal took about 30 minutes, before we were told to wait in the lobby. My wife and I sat for another hour in the hotel lobby, patiently waiting for the manager to arrive to let us back into our room. Once the manager gained access to our room, we were told we could return. When we got to our room on the third floor, the manager was standing in the doorway, and indicated the battery in the door lock had died, causing the issue of us being locked out. He apologized and left. At this point it was almost 10:30am, so we had to quickly pack up our belongings and make our way back to the lobby to check out. We checked out shortly before 11:00am, and asked Evan what kind of compensation we would receive for the 2 hour major inconvenience of being locked out of our room. Evan went into the office behind the front desk for a minute, and returned indicating the manager wasn't at his desk, but he could take our name and number, and have the manager give us a call. We did this, and then left the hotel, awaiting a call. One week later (Jan 17, 2024), I had not yet received a call from the hotel manager, so I called the hotel and asked to speak with the manager. Evan happened to answer the phone, and indicated the manager was not in, but he could take my name and number and get the manager to call when he arrived later. Evan remembered my wife and I from the previous week, and indicated he could also put me through to the manager's voice-mail so l could leave a message myself as well. Evan took my name and number, and I also left a voice mail for the manager with my name, number, and reason for calling. Another week later (Jan 26, 2024 and counting), and I still have not received a call from the hotel manager. This is not the quality of service I expect from a Best Western hotel, especially as a Diamond Select Member. To be clear, Evan was helpful and did everything in his power to try to help us (even with it being only his second week employed at the hotel). Management, however, is seemingly ignoring the issue altogether.

Loved the atmosphere of the hotel, loved the way that the room I stayed in was set up. The staff working was very friendly and helpful with any questions that I had. This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I had a very good impression of it

The hotel was clean and cozy and staff were kind, caring and responsive :) we enjoyed our stay, though it was a bit pricier than we would have liked … but those are the times! The breakfast had many carb filled options, would hav been nice to see some fresher, healthier choices as well. The room was redressed daily, staff was in top of cleaning all areas of the hotel, nonissues with parking, quiet location, great choice!

Stayed here several times but, in the last year, someone in their wisdom decided to redo the parking lot so there are now 8 plug in spots for e-cars directly in front of the entrance and Handicapped parking is now moved to the back/side of the hotel. Should this not be the other way around?? As a handicapped person, I find this quite disappointing. Maybe it's a Government edict, who knows?

The staff was very friendly and and greeted us courteously. The rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. If the need arises in Ottawa, we would definitely stay at this location and we highly recommend this hotel.

I travelled to Ottawa for a work trip and stayed with my wife for two nights. The room was very clean and everything worked. The hotel is very close to the freeway so our room on the freeway side of the the hotel was very noisy all night. The breakfast was very basic and not what we normally experience at a Best western hotel. This was our first trip to Ottawa so we expected the front desk employee to be a little more helpfull but he seemed anoyed that we were asking questions.

I DO NOT recommend staying here.. this is our first and very last time. They do not have enough parking for their paying patrons, so we were told to park it on the street, I explained we have a really big truck so street parking doesn't work because our truck sticks out into the lane, so we were told to park at the strip mall( which is out of our way.) I asked to grab our stuff and just get refunded, was told no sorry can't do that! So I asked what shall I do then,his answer, I don't know but I called the manager and they said they aren't refunding you.... so I booked a hotel with parking, you can't give me parking but now it's my problem... thanks #bestwesternhotel

Clean and quiet hotel, only a few minutes away by car from the Canadian Tire Centre. Although located next to the highway, my room was on the residential side, so I got a good night sleep. Breakfast bar was full. Real dishes and ustensiles would've been nice, but other than, everything was fine!

Nice quiet little spot that has a very good continental breakfast! Need a quick pit stop to make sure that your travels keep going smoothly? Stop in here as their beds are just what you need! Great stop.

Overall experience was good. The room was quiet and spacious. The table inside the room was good enough to attend my business activities. I'd suggest to add more items to the breakfast menu and provide refill to the juice jars until the end of the breakfast time.

We had to book a last minute stay for a Hockey tournament. The hotel modern, clean, wonderful breakfast too. The staff went above and beyond to help us out with an issue we had not related to the Hotel. Excellent all around!

This hotel still has the WOW factor when you walk in. It has a beautiful modern and clean look. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Staff is very courteous and attentive. Breakfast was very good and had choices of hot and cold items.

Bed is comfortable but it is noisy being right on the highway! Just a very basic shower with no tub. The free breakfast is basic at best with only 2 hot items. No pool and site cafe or restaurant so there is not a lot to do at the hotel. Rooms are very small but very clean. Close to the Designer discount mall which was great!

As you walk into the hotel, you are met with all sorts of shapes and colours. Then the music that they are playing in the lobby and hallway make you want to dance. The rooms are spacious and there is a lot of lighting options available. The bed was so comfy! There were 6 pillows on the bed which made it enticing to jump right into.

The front desk service was the best ever for me. A young lady on duty went out of her way to help me. I was running late for a memorial service. She kindly helped me with Google maps to the church. This was because my cell phone battery was completely out of juice. She got me registered for my room in a professional and timely manner. Thanks to her help I found the church in Ottawa. Her kindness and generosity were welcomed.

The hotel, staff and amenities are great here. Only issue is the location. The hotel faces a major highway and is very close to it. Very noisy at night if you are on that side of the highway. I suggest you request a room that is opposite the highway side and bring ear plugs just in case!!!

Very clean and new. Very modern furniture. Loved the big chairs outside the elevators. Would recommend. Price very compatible with other hotels in the area. Would stay there again and recommend to others

Definitely a step up from your typical 3 star hotel type facilities (i.e. Comfort Inn, Best Western, Holiday Inn Express etc.). Very modern and trendy facility that checks all the right boxes (i.e. comfortable guest rooms, cleanliness, modern lobby and common areas, wifi, guest parking etc.). Complimentary breakfast needs some work though as many items were not available or were not replenished in a timely fashion. Would definitely stay here again!

Good location, very comfy and clean. Breakfast needs improvement but overall had a good experience. The place is a short drive from Parliament Hill, good value for money. Will probably keep this as a top choice when visiting again.

As always, Best Western is my go to place to stay. Friendly staff made sure or two day experience was great. The Hotel was close to family and city. Just minutes from downtown museums or office. Only 15 minutes to the Defennbunker Bunker Museum. So many things to do that are close. Of course the Thanksgiving Dinner at my sisters was the best attraction. Thanks for a great sleep. Will see you again.

We've stayed at this hotel maybe 4 or 5 times and it remains our favourite. Location, staff, rooms etc cannot be beat. We particularly like the wide entrance into the rooms as we can bring the luggage cart all the way in.

I travel for work very often and have always been a BW or HI customer and very satisfied. I always make sure the staff are complimented to their manager. I have gone so far as to call BW corporate to relay my appreciation for their staff and hotel. I am truly not one to make a scene or be vocal about complaints. That said, I think this information is important should anyone be planning to stay here. I am shocked this hotel is allowed to be part of the BW chain, given their bizarre policies. Upon arrival, following a long 6 hour drive where all I wanted was food and a quiet room, I noticed that this hotel faces the freeway. I politely asked that, if the hotel was not too full or busy, if my room can be on the quiet side away from the freeway. I was curtly informed that the staff left on duty have no authorization to make ANY room change for ANY reason. Upon my request (it wasn't offered), the desk clerk attempted to contact the “manager on call” to get this authorization. The poor kid was the only staff on the premises at 8 pm. Apparently there was no response to calls and texts during our 40 minute interaction. Not only this, but they force you to pay all fees up front ( I do not see this noted on the website and this was confirmed when I asked the desk clerk). And I don't mean just the normal room hold but both the room hold at 150.00 and the full payment of the room! I actually called BW 1-877 customer service and they reassured me I must have misheard the desk clerk on both the room change and payment policy. NOPE! And when I went to pay, the clerk refused to allow me to use my debit, insisting that the staff are trained to only allow payment by credit card. For the bizarre financial practice alone, I do not recommend this hotel! Just got to my room to sit in the lumpy mattress to overlook a noisy freeway. After 6 hours in the car I don't even feel like eating! BW should definitely be looking into this. The only thing they have going for them is that the room is clean, and the poor kid at the desk, whose hands were tied at no fault of his own, still handled himself like a champ! Sad to see this hotel's management putting their young employees in such a predicament!

We found the hotel to be modern and very clean. The staff was outstanding. The room did not have a tub however the shower was huge and very comfortable to use. If you are looking for a great hotel in Ottawa, this hotel should be on your booking agenda.

Will be travelling to Ottawa more this year, will 100% be back. Great rooms, service and value from Best Western - GLO. Easy in and out to Downtown Ottawa. Lots to do in the area as well, many shops, restaurants and things to do.

Hi Salima, it's J, and this is the 5 star review I told you that you deserved! I'm in Ottawa a lot on Government business and GLO will be my new home away from home!!! The location is superb, just off Hwy 417, and only 4 kms away from The Canadian Tire Centre for entertainment events, and just minutes to the downtown Ottawa. The Hotel is absolutely immaculate and still looks brand new. Free Parking and Free Hot Breakfast are nice perks too! I stayed in 416 on the Residential Side and the new Queen bed and many pillows afforded me a comfortable, quiet, and restful sleep. The entire hotel crew were great, Jim checked me in and was friendly. Salima was amazing, professional, and personable in answering any questions and ensuring a pleasant stay. Thanks again Salima! I can't wait for my next stay with Glo !

The check in was great and the room even better! Very clean and convenient if you are doing anything in the west end of the city. The modern décor was a nice change from the usual hotel room furniture.

Bad sleep no AC to hot in room told reception had no AC and wanted credit for room and didn't say anything and didn't get anything so not happy not sure what else u want me to say so would love a free stay at a best western or a credit back on my card thanks shawn

This hotel was very nice. Good location and easy access to everything. Very friendly staff. Was happy with the room, very clean. Disappointed they did not come clean the room after one night, pick up garbage and replace dirty towels. Breakfast was as expected, not much more than that.

Everything was great - extra secure, you needed your room card to use the elevator. The only thing we didn't like too much was the barn door on the bathroom. Wouldn't stay closed, even with the latch it stayed open slightly. No privacy.

We had a wonderful time GLo Best Western. Room was great and having breakfast included was perfect. We had a late check-in and the staff were wonderful. We would certainly recommend this hotel for your travel needs.

Previous stay at another hotel in Ottawa paled in comparison to this property and at half the cost. Exceptional value and a super clean hotel, The extras were a nice touch and the facilities were more than what I expected. Pleasantly surprised at the layout and the upscale decor. The rooms were spacious and certainly being a newer property didn't hurt! BRAVO!!

Large rooms, clean and new. Great staff, easy to make reservations. Quiet at night. No bathtub, but a lovely large shower and high quality soaps and shampoo. Fluffy towels. Great linens on the bed. Super comfy beds. Good location, close to the outlet mall and a few good restaurants. I reserved last minute, and found it a little expensive. $200/night including tax. I'd probably stay there again, but might look elsewhere for a better deal, time permitting.

Loved the room and decor, very clean and so modern. Bathroom a good size. Had to wait about 10 min to check in , no one at the desk. Breakfast okay, nice to get something fast and get on the road. The background noise unit was good to use. The double blinds did decrease the sound of highway noise. Loved the lighting and barn door into the bathroom. Would stay there again for sure.

Spotless, modern comfy room. Breakfast included and water and coffee all day. Close to a restaurant and hwy. 10 mins from downtown Ottawa Only negative was only one staff member to take care of breakfast and checkout. He was apologetic and efficient

Last minute trip for 2 mini getaway. Off the 417 and shopping outlets at Terry Fox and Palladium....and the Cdn Tire as we woke up to a flat tire next day. Our room with king size bed was excellent both mattress and pillows. We turned the a/c down which was a nice 'white noise' to sleep with. Would recommend.

This appears to be a newer hotel in that it had two charging stations for EVs and also HD TV. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, although the decor was unusual with the blue and yellow seating corners. The beds are good. A pleasant surprise was the walk-in shower in place of a tub/shower combination. At the end of a long drive, it was a pleasure to step into the glass enclosure and relax. The staff were helpful and friendly, although I had to figure out for myself that the elevator requires the use of a room key-card before it will move (as I wrote, it was a long drive). The free breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, and coffee was tasty. There are plenty of places to eat and shop in the area. I can recommend the Glō Best Western.

Although the room seemed a bit smaller than what I was used to, it was a very comfortable stay. Bathroom was well laid out, and bed was pretty good too. Loved the amount of plugs and usb plugs for all my electronics lol. Wasn't so keen on the oversized chair as it made me feel so small but that may be a good thing. Loved the level of security in the hotel too, especially in this day and age.

The location of the hotel was great. Staff was friendly. WARNING!! If you are two people sharing a bed, beware! My husband and I shared a bed and the bed kept slidding off the bedframe. It was a horrible nights sleep

We were there just one day but it was a great experience! The only thing missing is a pool. The breakfast is excellent, it also is well situated and very accessible. The staff is on the ball and always ready to help. Keep up the good work!

My one night stay was awesome. The front desk were very friendly, the room was very modern, clean and the bed was excellent. I had a window facing the highway and the noise cancelling machine they provide worked perfect. The breakfast is what I expected and the front desk constantly replenished the food and cleaned the area. Those People who gave it a negative review shouldn't expect caviar and lobster for breakfast.

Great place to stay. We loved the decor and the design touches that make this hotel unique. The hotel even had stickers on the doors to seal a clean room so that you know it was done. Everything we needed and more.

The room was great! Had the best sleep and loved the breakfast in the morning! The service I received at both Check-in and Check-out was perfect. I only stayed 1 night but would have loved to stay longer.

Overall I would probably stay there again and give it another chance, but the rates are expensive and they should at least have more staff to assist and hos the guests. One person to handle breakfast, checkouts and services need is unacceptable.

This is really the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at. It was spotless, rooms were lovely, bed was very comfortable. Service desk staff were very helpful and breakfast was hot. Coffee and cold fresh water 24/7. Would definitely stay here if we travel to the Ottawa area again.

Stylish, minimalist design, clean. Surprisingly quiet considering it was full. Staff was very friendly. We used this as a place to sleep and shower and were out all day every day until late, so all these are big plusses. Had no extra toilet paper in room, and had to get a new roll the next day. Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower Gel ran out on day 2. Was surpised since these things are normally stocked daily. We delt with them.

I honestly can't remember the last time I stayed in a better place. The place itself and the rooms were so clean and nice. The lady at the front was amazing and very accommodating. And breakfast was amazing, kids loved it

This hotel was new, nicely decorated, and very clean. The service desk person was good. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Parking was free with complimentary breakfast. Came to visit Ottawa and I would stay here again than stay at any downtown hotel.

This hotel is well is located just off highway 417. The hotel is relatively new. A small hotel but with almost the same amenities as the larger ones. I like the fact that it was a tile floor. Bed is very comfortable. I would use this hotel again when I visit Ottawa in the future.

The hotel experienced a small kitchen fire during our stay. Everyone evacuated and fire department arrived. The smell that plagued the hotel after the incident was over was unbearable. Guest services had no tools at their disposal to resolve our early checkout request (due to the horrifying smell) and the manager would not answer the employees calls or ours. Despite voicemails and repeated calls, manager will not answer or return calls. Terribly managed facility!

This is the third time we have been to this hotel and I can say that this past weekend was the most unimaginable experience of the 3. To start, we were in an area of the hotel that did not have any other guests and for that, we were extremely lucky as we both came down with tremendous colds. Myself, on the first 2 days and my wife beginning on Saturday. Tests for Covid proved negative, and for that we breathed a sigh of relief. It was great for me to simply crawl into bed throughout the day and draw down the cold without neighbours shutting/slamming doors or making a lot of noise. Our requests for additional kleenex to help the situation were given every time. We expected to see a number of games at a local tournament featuring our granddaughter, however, that was dashed rather rapidly. While it was not a pleasant experience healthwise.... we were really pleased to have the comfort of the GLO Best Western to make things easier. The room was clean, amenities available and the staff were very helpful with all our needs.

Over the phone we reserved for $209, it was $219 when we arrived. They didn't own up and fix their mistake. I mean it's only $10 plus tax but it's the principal behind it. I probably won't be going back.

While the Facility was clean, and most of the staff were friendly there were some major issues. Management lied to us over phone , then refused to talk to us while at the hotel. Everytime I went to the desk I was told they were not in yet, had already left or were on a conference call. Was told multiple times I would receive a call from the manager to never receive one. One time rhe clerk called to pass on a message, but could never get a clear answer. As someone who has stayed at many Best Westerns over the years, I must say this trip has left a sour taste in my mouth.

The room was perfect and clean.The decor was nice.Two things that got my attention was that the cleaning lady whom i saw on 3 occasion was wearing her face mask under her mouth and nose.The other was that a homeless person stinky and dirty was in the breakfast area helping himself to food.After he was done the hot breakfast which was scrambled eggs and toast didn't seem to appetizing and we left.He had a filthy winter jacket on,For a nice hotel i dont think that he was screened in nor did he have a room there.

Room was clean and comfortable, beautiful rin shower and modern decor. Service was very friendly. Only thing to mention is that there was a smart TV but only cable channels. Plenty of choice but if you want to cast movies from your own device you could probably plug a dongle into the TV. Plenty of shopping and restaurants close by.

Great place to place. Staff was nice and friendly. Due to Covid we didn't do the breakfast thing so can't say whether it is good or not. The only thing that I would point out is the inconsistency of the heat. At one point there was cold air blowing. It was -35C so the room was chilly but as stated it was inconsistent. The floor was a bit dirty as well. I think having a mat or a boot tray in the room would make a huge difference. Otherwise the room was very clean. Like the idea of only a shower as there wasn't any dancing with a shower curtain like lost hotels. The bed was super comfortable and the decor fun and funky. Would stay again.

Stayed over during a snow storm. Room was very clean and bed very comfortable. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in a hotel. Unfortunately the electric car charger wouldnt work. Staff said no issues previously but the connector wouldnt attach properly to my Chevy Bolt and system kept turning off. Something to note if you are driving electric.

I like this Hotel alot. The staff are great, the room is clean and comfortable. Bed is amazing, I slept very well. The best place to stay in Ottawa. I will definitely advise all my friends and family this Hotel.

Bad customer service and unhelpful front desk. Front desk kept giving us contradictory information. At check-in we were asked to pay $150 to hold our room reservation which will be refunded in 3-5 business days after our stay. We found it odd since we were already here. We asked for receipt for that $150 and was told that will be provided at checkout. At checkout we were then told that the $150 was actually a room damage deposit and not a room reservation fee. Front desk continued saying that room damage deposit doesn't get charged through our credit card but in our case Best Western (BW) did. We showed front desk our credit card account on our phone that BW had indeed charged us the $150, contrary to what she is telling us. She then proceeded to steamroll us and kept repeating that the transaction should show as pending even when she is staring at the authorized charge that went through on our screen. She would not listen or offer any solution, and stated simply there was nothing she can do to help us. Every step of the way front desk refused to do anything to help resolve the issue that they created. Fact was BW charged our credit card when they did not intend to (in her words "it should be a pending charge and shouldn't go through"). Usually this would be a small issue easily solved by either by providing a receipt or at minimum an email to reassure the customer that the transaction will be reversed. Clearly the she did not understand the issue, refused to listen when we tried to calmly explain, and blatantly deny facts presented. Her reason for refusing to email was she does not have access to BW customer email account and that her manager usually deals with this issue. We then suggested her to contact her manager since it is outside of her authority, which we reassured her that we don't blame her for, but she also refused citing we are outside of business hours and she doesn't talk to her manager until 11am. This was at 8:25am. This was a small problem that BW created was made incredibly difficult by an unhelpful front desk staff who refused to listen nor understood the issue at hand. What should have been a quick checkout process was unnecessarily dragged on for an hour, something we did not want on a vacation. I am surprised at the poor level of customer service from BW as the other branches we've stayed at was usually good. Would not stay here again and would not recommend it to friends and family. Hopefully BW will provide better trained front desk staff at this location.

Perfect location for our 4 day stay while visiting family in Kanata. New hotel and, though a few feet from Highway 417, the “white noise reduction” thing in the room is a nice touch. No traffic noise at all! Will remain our go to hotel on our annual family visits.

Rooms were clean and be comfortable. There was a power outage when I went so elevator was not available at day of checkout. Manager was there to inform and help. Nice place, good quality for the price, would recommend or use again.

Covid protocols not being enforced, people wandering around with no masks, breakfast area not being adequately sanitized or supervised. Claustrophobically tiny room, too small for four people. The room and mirror area of the bathroom are dimly lit. The mattress is just on a flat piece of wood and it kept sliding around on the frame even if I just touched it with my knee. Traffic noise was loud even with ear plugs because it faces an expressway, and the room either freezing or too hot because it was too small for the air to circulate properly. Breakfast was really awful, only two choices of cereal, yogurt, horrible eggs (no meat) and bread. But after watching a guy stick his hand in the bread case without tongs, I just gave up on the food. The hotel interior looked like a brightly lit Walmart, nothing like the trendy photos. The highlight was the tv. Stayed at a different BW the previous weekend. It had the most amazing breakfast ever. I felt safe and the room was beautiful. The kicker was that I paid the same price for both. The Glo is a rip off.

The hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable. Staff is fantastic as well. Highly recommend a try. Well, I think I said what I wanted to say above, however, trip advisor deemed it necessary for me to write more, so I hope this is sufficient! My wife and I stopped here overnight on our way through from Quebec. The hotel is ultra modern, spotlessly clean and friendly staff. We checked in early so were given an accessible room which was very very spacious. The decor is bright and cheerful and the king bed was very comfortable. Our room was on the residential side of the building and very quiet. The breakfast was adequate during covid and very well set up and a staff member constantly sanitizing the counters, tables, ,etc. I am a Gold Card member and this Best Western is by far one of the better hotels.

I booked one night online, September 4. I called the Best Western reservation line to change it to the 4th and 5th. We were to attend our nephew's wedding and celebrate my wife's birthday with a friend in Ottawa. The person I spoke with said she had canceled our first reservation (fine) and made a new one for the 3rd and 4th. I corrected her and she told me she fixed it. The reservation confirmation email came through correctly. We arrived at the desk of the hotel just after 4 pm on the 4th (first night we booked) after a 5 hour drive. No room. It took them 30 minutes to figure out the problem: the reservation had gone through at their end for the 3rd and 4th. They showed me their paperwork. I showed them my confirmation email (the desk clerk asked to take my phone back into the office to show the manager). Because we didn't show on the 3rd they billed us for the night and canceled the second night. There was no room for us even for the second night of the reservation. However two people checked in while we were waiting who had called 30 minutes before. Eventually the front desk located a room for us at another hotel on the other side of Ottawa for an additional $100/night. I asked about a refund, and was told I would have to take it up with their finance person after the long weekend. I called after we got home and left a message, she wasn't available. The next day she called and left a message saying they would not refund the night because we were no-shows. I called back, she wasn't available, so I asked for a call back so we could discuss this. I called and left messages repeatedly in the last two weeks on her voicemail and have yet to receive a call back. We're out one night's reservation cost and an additional $200 for two nights at the other hotel. Be careful, book another room at another hotel just in case, and arrive before the cut-off so you can beat it to the other hotel if they don't have your room.

Excellent service and staff. I would recommend staying here again. Staff was extremely friendly and willing to help anyway they could. Rooms and hotel was very well kept and very clean. Highly recommend.

This hotel is well equipped and clean. It has a modern, almost European feel to it. The colours of the rooms, the decor and Lobby are bright and cheery. The staff that I dealt with, were very friendly, always had a smile and were very accommodating The reason I gave the 4, despite all the benefits and great things about this hotel, is that there were certain amenities that were missing from a Best Western chain. Albeit, these things were not game changers in my staying at this hotel again. The little things included no daily paper, a hot breakfast but without any meat and the chairs in the breakfast area were very uncomfortable. Although many people have stated that staying on the highway side of the hotel cause them sleep disturbance, I did not find this to be the case, even though I stayed on the second floor towards the highway. I would recommend this hotel

Service was excellent, the person at the front desk referred us a restaurant that was open until 2 am. Very quick check-in and Check-Out. All the staff were very kind. The room as very clean, I recommend this hotel and for sure next time we come to Ottawa will stay there.

Stayed here while taking our son the Algonquin College. Room was large and very nice and clean. Really enjoyed the stand alone shower. Hotel was modern and very clean. Would definitely stay here again when in the Ottawa area.

My room was close to the elevator and I never notice any noises from. Quiet clean place that's all I need to get away from stress. My experience is based on 1 night but a good and quiet one. That was perfect after a 8 hours drive in traffic. I recommend.

This was our first time at the Kanata Glo. We chose the hotel because it did not have carpet in the guest rooms. We felt that it would be a better option with the current pandemic. The Kanata Glo is a newer hotel, all areas were very clean. Our guest room was very clean and well decorated. The laminate flooring was spotless. Fridge in room and coffee maker, along with a safe for security storage of valuables. Bed, linens, pillows….all immaculate and very comfortable….fabulous night's sleep. . Shower was spacious, clean with a rain shower head….just wonderful. Loved the room. Absolutely, will stay here again.

Glo Best Western Kanata was so clean and modern. The bed was so comfortable. The whole room was great, from the rain shower head to the big screen tv. The Grab and Go breakfast was good in this covid age. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Great atmosphere, convenient location, comfortable bed. Very modern. Breakfast is ok. Eggs get very watery in its heated pan. Buy all in all it does the trick for sure. No microwaves in the room. Have to go to common area. Can't really complain as it's new, updated and a comfortable spot to lay your head.

Very friendly staff working here. Room and facilities were very clean. Free charging stations for our Niro was an added bonus. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again if in the Kanata/Ottawa area.

Only quality was cleaned, good mattress, every thing is very basic nothing luxury or fantastic. Not to try for the second time for sure, no drinking water in room, coffee machine was dirty, nothing special in room or hotel to recommend.

The place was spotless. It's got a great location that's easy to find and near everything you could ever need. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fresh and good. It's located near the highway but you cannot hear any noise. Beds are super comfortable. Highly recommended.

This hotel is gorgeous! clean! the pictures online are actually accurate!! still has that brand new hotel smell. staff were really nice. lots of eating places, grocery stores, all kinds of stores actually really near by. only thing missing was a microwave in the room and Netflix although you can mirror your device to the tv and you can just go downstairs to microwave. All in all great experience! I booked with snaptravel so I got a discount which made it much more worth every penny!

Check in was fine but when I asked about noise facing the highway I was told that the higher floors were quieter. In fact the nose in the room made relaxation and a good night's sleep impossible. Decor was fine although the bench- chair was uncomfortable . But the bed was goo and cleanliness was fine.

Nice and clean. Quiet stay. Enjoyed stay for first outdoor visit with family and some outlet shopping too. Modern clean and quite enjoyable. I don't yet have an electric car but nice to see electrical vehicle chargers out front. Great deal for our stay too. Thank you

First time at this boutique hotel, and stayed just one night in a 1 King bed room. I really enjoyed the room decor, furnishings, smart tv. Overall a very comfortable stay. Pleasant staff and nice to have Grab and Go breakfast in the morning.

This beautiful hotel is only a couple years old. Everything is very clean and the beds are very comfy. Blackout blinds, free internet and breakfast. Close to highway 417 for easy access. Staff is very friendly.

When I arrived at the hotel they were very friendly and it was very clean. I was woke up at 2:00 am and then every hour after with banging on the wall from either a furnace kicking on or some mechanical equipment running. When I went to shower, rust came out of the shower head and then the water pretty much shut off. It was barely coming out. Called the front desk and a manager came up and tried to fix the problem. The water came out a bit faster but I certainly wouldn't call it a decent shower.

Came to the hotel for a night away the hotel is beautiful. Super clean and very modern. I love the bathroom and the sliding door. The staff was very accommodating with our early check in and check out.

The hotel did not have you complete a COVID questionnaire when you checked in. In the evening, there were three men in the lobby close together talking and only one was masked. In the morning another man was in the lobby unmasked. Neither time did the front desk person ask them to put a mask on.

I felt very safe and comfortable during my entire stay. Th staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to work efficiently and comfortably. I would surly stay here again in the future. I highly recommend this location

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! The location was perfect, it is only a short five minute drive to over 14 different types of restaurants and attractions. It was a perfect hotel for my girls night! I will definitely be staying again :)

Glad we had the chance to stay at Glo. Check in and out was very easy and quick. Our room was very large was a nice change from other hotels. The room was clean (minus a few hairs in the shower stall when we got into room). Nice towels. Loves the barn door style washroom door. Beds were very comfy as were the pillows. The art deco throughout hotel was a nice change. The internet had very poor connection which was disappointing. The breakfast had very little selection which is to be expected because of COVID but feels it can be improved. The stale fridge bagel with little cream cheese didn't really cut it. A selection if yogurts or boxes cereals would be a great option. Other than that we look forward to coming back

Saturday at 2:30 am our hydro went out (1000 residences affected) at 6 pm they said the power would not be back on until 6 am Sunday. I thought I had some points to redeem and my husband said we could get a room . Still -10 degrees F here in Ottawa Canada. Booked this hotel by accident and said why not we have driven by many times and wondered about it. It felt as if we were in a Artistically and with contemporary decorations European hotel. Huge soft pillows and gel topped mattresses. We both had the best sleep we can remember. Quiet, new and clean. Big walk in shower with rain shower head . Quiet halls and rooms all around us.Hot breakfast included. It was lovely.

Just stayed at the Glo Kanata. What a beautiful hotel that is only a year old. Lobby is beautiful and so welcoming to sit around and chill. Excellent fitness facility and the rooms are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend you check it out when in Ottawa. This was the first Glo by Best Western in Canada!

I believe GLO has established the gold standard in comfort and overall hotel experience. We initially picked the hotel because of its central location but was pleasantly surprised by the warm reception and all the small things they did to make us feel valued. The room was spectacularly clean - it was like we were the first to step foot into the room! We had asked for an extra blanket which was brought up to us in a flash. We contemplated taking the bed home with us, it was so comfortable - like sleeping on a cloud! Had a great workout in gym downstairs after having an awesome breakfast at the hotel. WiFi was surprisingly stable and easy to use. We will definitely be coming back. Color me impressed!

Pros: Beautiful modern rooms. Cons: Too much noise from highway 24/7. Background noise device in room did not help. No restaurant or bar. Breakfast was mostly continental with self-serve hot food/waffle iron.

On checking into this BW, I inquired about Veteran Rates and was advised that they only had CAA rates. I advised them that I believed that BWs else where had them why not them? They gave me no answer! maybe BW Corporate could answer my query? on entering our room I noted that the carpet had not been vacuumed and reported it to the front desk! Eventually housekeeping showed up and cleaned the carpet! Tried the TV this did not work, called the front desk and couldn't resolve the issue nor did they offer to fix it till the next day! Awakened to what sounded like a cattle stampede, I eventually discovered that minor hockey player accompanied by their parents were checked into this BW! The youngsters were playing tag on several floors also utilizing the elevators for their enjoyment! I took the issue to the front dest along with my other issue(s) well our TV got fixed but not the children paying tag! Lastly, I found crud around the bathroom mirror, not tasteful at all! I would not recommend this establishment as they could not manage the children nor speak to there parents about there antics!

Very clean with a great overall feel. Room was very comfortable. I would stay here again. Close to everything Kanata has to offer. Great selection of food being offered at breakfast and 24 hour access to the coffee machine in the lobby.

The service at this hotel was marvellous, the staff and workers were extremely welcoming and kind. The rooms were clean, tidy, and neat as well as spacious and comfortable for my family and I. We enjoyed the stay very much and would highly recommend it to my family and friends!

We gave this hotel a try for something different. Sens game on a family birthday. Great location for the arena. Plenty of restaurants nearby. A Mandarin just 1 km away. Hotel was spotless and staff very friendly. Beds and pillows the best we have seen. Decor is very 'today' and cleverly done. Not near downtown Ottawa by a long shot. OC Transpo terminal nearby. No disappointments here.

The rooms are good equipped for business travel and the network connection (WIFI) is decent. The breakfast is good and sufficient for this class of hotel. Rooms facing the Hwy are very noisy and the noise cancelling system installed in the room is unusable.

Great hotel in Kanata close to a lot of amenities and restaurants at Centrum place. Bright hallways, large modern rooms, and a good breakfast. Business centre is very well equipped and Wi-Fi is solid.

The hotel lobby was so interesting with plenty of seating for customers of all sizes. The check in staff was incredibly nice and friendly. The areas by the elevators had small tables and hassocks to sit on (again, size friendly). On our floor (#2) there were size friendly rocking chairs (i am a rather LARGE person and i could fit comfortably in these with no issues. I want one!). The room we had was an accessible one, and it was so spacious, the seating was lovely, it was styled beautifully with a very modern feel, and the chairs were all size friendly as well! I normally cannot sit in an office chair at a hotel because of the arms on them hurting my hips, but this office chair was armless and I had no issues. Even the comfy chair with a swivel tray was wide and accommodating. I loved it! The bathroom was the biggest one i'd ever been in at a hotel and was so nice! Even the closet was accessible as the rack you hang coats on was lowered so that even someone in a wheelchair could put their items away without working about reaching up high. We even had a comfortable night's sleep, which sounds like a given, but too often i've been to hotels where I toss and turn, or there's something just not quite right. Everything was great here. I don't yet have a reason planned to come back, but i fully intend to!

I stayed at the GLo while on a business trip. This is a new and modern hotel. The rooms are big. The bathroom and walk in shower are a good size. The staff was very warm and welcoming. They were always available to assist with any request. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the Tanger outlet mall and Canadian Tire Center. Looking forward to my next visit there.

New, nice and clean but extremely noisy. Lousy chairs in the room. Noise reduction system in the room is useless. It is noisier than the road noise. Extremely soft pillows. If you must stay there ask for a room not facing the highway. Ask for firmer pillows. I will never stay there again. Breakfast was watered down powdered eggs. Burned sausages.

This is by far the best hotel in the Ottawa! I loved the welcoming environment and amazing staff. The room was top notch, and the wifi didn't let me down. The room was super clean, and they have the most amazing mattresses there! Best nights sleep I've had in a long time! The breakfast served was so tasty, and the coffee was really good! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Ottawa! It's close to the highway and makes it so easy to get around.

I thought this looked like an interesting Best Western and looked forward to trying it out. I have tried it out and am extremely disappointed. I am in an 01 room and it is incredibly noisy, less than 100 yards from the 417. Called down to see about changing room and rooms of my type facing away. Normally, hotels try and accommodate, not this place. Wasn't even offered an alternative. Off to buy earplugs so that hopefully I will be able to sleep.

My favorite hotel was fully booked so I opted for Glo Best Western. I arrived very late and was very thankful to Rachel who accepted in my behalf the Uber Eats food that I ordered. Breakfast was limited and did they did not have hot chocolate (I do not drink coffee). The breakfast on my first day was the same as the 2nd day - eggs and sausage. If not for Rachel, my stay would have been a total disaster. I will go back only if Hilton Homewood Suites is fully booked.

Stayed here for 5 nights for business. Room is similar to a dorm room, sliding barn door for the bathroom which blocks the closet when open, very poor design. Very little storage. Breakfast was very limited in selection, especially for healthy choices like fruit. The majority of the front desk staff did not have proficient english to the point when I called the day after I checked out because I forgot something in my room, they said I hadn't even checked out yet. I had in fact checked out the day before at 0630am. Outside the lobby door is a large collection of cigarette butts as there is no butt container for the smokers.The highway noise is very loud if you are on that side. Overall, there are much better values out there for what they charge.

The room was clean and service was good however, we left an important envelope with money in it on the bedside table when checking out. Once we realized this about an hour later, we called and they told us the room had not been cleaned yet and they would get it for us. About half an hour later, they phoned again and said that it actually had been cleaned and that the envelope was gone. Was very disappointed by this and were never able to get our belongings back. In addition to this, there was no recycling for all of the non reusable dishes at the breakfast bar and no reusable options. Seemed like a big waste and needs attention.

We came to Ottawa over the weekend and stayed at the Glo by best western. Our first impression of the hotel was amazing. The staff at the front desk were very kind and fast with getting us checked in. As we walked through the hallway to the elevator, we immediately took notice of the style that has been used to decorate the building (the mirror in the first floor hallway is a great eye catching decor piece). We want to get the same one for our home. Once we got to our floor, we saw the paintings hung from the wall outside the elevator. The modern contemporary style is very impressive and the colour coordination really makes everything work well with each other. Our room continued this same styling. Everything had a specific spot and fit exactly where it is expected to go. The TV was mounted at the best viewing angle (not too high or low to give you a sore neck). We also found the rooms ambient noise control. This feature was something new for us, but is definitely something that we enjoyed throughout the night to help us sleep a restful night. The bathroom was large and spacious and had all that one would expect. Something very specific that we noticed was the lampshades. Staying in other hotels, when the lights are on in the room, there is usually a glare that is visible on the tv. This is typically due to the lamps / lights shining a light directly onto the tv surface. Somebody must have put a lot of thought into this, but even when the lights were on, there was no glare on the TV. Kudos to the design / decor team at GLo. We would defiantly recommend this hotel to any person who is visiting Ottawa / Kanata for a short stay or mini vacation.

Stayed one night at this cute new property. Very modern, bright, nice amenities. Really comfy bed, nice big shower, room was good size with a fridge. Our stay included breakfast which had a good variety of hot and cold items that were replenished often so things were fresh. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of recycling for the paper plates and plastic utensils for breakfast. Everything went into the garbage which is not acceptable in this day and age. Otherwise everything was great!

My wife and I stayed here as part of a large wedding group.This is a new hotel said to be fashioned after european hotels. It sits intermediately beside the major highway running through Ottawa. It is however nice in appearance including landscaping. It is flanked by a residential area. The lobby and rooms are appealing though our room had a small fridge awkwardly placed in the center of a wall and was an obstacle to walking. The sliding bathroom door is nice but very bizarrely uses the same handle to stop the slide as you use to close from the inside- beware...its a finger buster. They do a good job of attempting to drown put highway noise (many rooms face the highway) by means of double layered roller blinds and a modern adjustable white noise machine. The breakfast room is clean and the included breakfast is typical hotel fare. 2 cons to this hotel- - check in at least for a group was a nightmare. 2 "in training " clerks were at reception and were befuddled by an error in one of our room assignments. They were totally unable to rectify whatsoever and the "supervising" manager was in a meeting not to be disturbed! We never did have the issue solved nor hear from this apparent virtual manager. - price point is suspect. The hotel is 17 km from downtown Ottawa, is not full service, yet rates are as a similar hotel downtown. It seems clear pricing is simply what the market will bear. Overall, average Will look around next time.

We were in the area for an U19 fastball tourney and this hotel was convenient to the tourney, shopping and other attractions and the highway. New hotel and very clean, staff were accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was good, especially the yogurt with fresh fruit. Would definitely stay again/

xcellent staff, very clean. easy parking. Will be our hotel of choice. Wide choice of breakfast, both hot and cold. Next to highway and our room wass highway side but with the noise cancelling sound in the room we did not experience any problem sleeping.

Our room was no more than 50 feet from the busiest arterial highway in Ottawa (417) with constant 24/7 road noise. Hotel's solution is to provide a white noise generator. We booked a king room, apparently the king rooms are ONLY on the highway side. If you stay here, book a queen room and make sure you note in your comments that you want to be on the opposite side from the highway. Unfortunately, the road noise factored so much into the stay that it overshadows any attempts or efforts from the staff to provide good customer service. Additionally, with breakfast, while they do have gluten free options for bread, the do not have a designated toaster and we were told to use the regular toaster which is used for gluten products. not a safe option for someone with celiac disease.

This place set a new low in my 100+ hotel stays per year. When I stay at a hotel I expect peace & quiet. I never would have booked this place if I knew it faced the highway. When I checked in I pleaded with the clerk to please give me a room at the back of the hotel. She said no and explained to me how to use the NOISE CANCELLING MACHINE in every room. This was my first experience staying at a hotel needing a noise cancelling machine in every room. Well, as expected I could not sleep - the noise from the noise cancelling machine sounded like an industrial fan and in reality was no better than the noise from the 10 lanes of highway traffic right outside the window. At 1 am I tried to nap in the lobby - that did not work so at 2am I moved to my car where I did sleep until 5am. This hotel is brand new and very modern and clean. There is no luggage rack for your bags but there are yellow vinyl benches to put them on. There was only one chair in the room at the desk so the room isn't good for entertaining - best for one person. This was the first time I have paid $190 to sleep in the car. I will never return. The hotel I usually stay in was booked but if I run into that scenario again I would choose a different hotel. I would think the rooms at the back are likely quieter but apparently they too require noise cancelling machines so I would only recommend staying here if you are not bothered by or enjoy a noisy stay.

Me and my boyfriend were offered a stay here from one of my closet friends. The experience was wonderful, I would love to be able to return. Staff was excellent, great family run hotel. Very impressed by the cleanliness and modern design!

My husband, Doug, our grand daughter, Tyla, and myself, west guests at this lovely Best Western Resort in Kanata, Ottawa. We really enjoyed our stay there, and most definately, will return sometime in the future., Oh, by the way, my husband really loved the huge pillows.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, spacious, and comfortable. Very quiet. Close to restaurants at Centrum and shopping at Tanger Outlet Mall. Breakfast included. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Unlike downtown, you won't be hit with a hefty parking fee as parking is free. On site gym but no pool but this is more of a no frills option. Beds were comfortable. You won't hear the Queensway. Solid choice. Fun, bright, and funky. I used to stay at the Comfort Inn down the street but Glo puts it to shame.

This hotel is very modern and clean and is located very close to the outlets. It is located not too far from downtown Ottawa by car and close to the highway thus making travelling easy. Great staff and service.

My kids loved the modern aspect of this hotel! We've never seen anything like it. The service was amazing, front desk was friendly, and LOTS of variety for breakfast. We were very satisfied with our stay.

the Hotel itself is very clean and modern. It's new so that wasn't surprising. I think the consequence of it being new is the lack of experience the staff has with dealing with guests. Being polite shouldn't be the only asset to assisting guests. checked-in for 2 nights. - on the 1st day we left our room at noon and requested passing by the front desk for our room to be done and a request for 2 extra towels..the polite young lady at the desk ' no problem, we'll get that done right away'....we then told her to that we'd be back around 3p,... we returned at 4:30pm..to find our room not done...and obviously no towels. we then left again at 5:30pm..and asked again if the room could be done...they told us House Keeping has left for the day - ok..how about them towels?....yes, we'll bring them up to your room...- ok we returned at 10p, no towels. the next morning we were leaving, I paid the bill in full..then asked for a manager. No manager was on sight..... I proceeded to let the young lady at the desk understand our plight...clean up request, towel request...etc....she just said 'sorry to hear that sir'..well. does just 'sorry' do us any good when we paid for the services [ $580 for the 2 nights in a regular room]..of your hotel and you didn't live up to your side of the deal?... so no towels, messy room.for 2 days....no answers to our requests. as well on the morning of our departure, the desk called our room at 10 am..and asked if everything was ok...we said ' not the best' and the person just brushed it off and said 'thank you'...zero acknowledgment of what I just said. DO NOT PAY FOR THE INCLUDED BREAKFAST PACKAGE...its rubber scrambled eggs soaked in water....and you sit in a communal cafeteria-style setting. it was so bad. there is a lot more stuff ...but those things I would consider personal to myself...like the hard beds and too puffy pillows....and zero water pressure in the shower. next time, we will stay at the Holiday Inn across the way...same proximity from what we needed. Good luck with this place. don't say I didn't warn ya.

Great hotel, overall appearance of hotel was very clean and modern! Loved the room, the decor was very inviting! The location was great as there were Restaurant Services close by and the location was close to where I was doing business. Would definitely stay there again should the opportunity arise.

I recently stayed at this brand new hotel. The staff and rooms were excellent. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, with a desk for working and a super comfy bed. The extras free touches, like water, coffee and tea and free breakfast were such a nice perk. Would definitely stay again and will be looking for other GLo hotels in my travels.

I travel a lot but this was the first time for me staying in a GLo brand hotel. the room design was great. The bed and mattress quality was amazing. probably the best sleeping experience I had in a hotel.

I just liked the clean, modern style of this hotel a lot. It just feels like everything is brand new. There are convenient little details everywhere in throughout the room (e.g. USB ports in both workspace and bed lamps, covers over the coffee/tea cups). Wifi connection was very good. Staff is friendly. Cleaning is done well. Very enjoyable stay.

Very modern, very clean, hotel staff was present and polite with every encounter. Wish there was a pool!! The breakfast wS simple but a good variety. My daughter did not enjoy the waffles. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. Slept in both days!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 1 night and we were very happy with our stay. Being a brand new hotel, there really isn't anything that needs updating or is in disrepair. The only thing that I noticed was the wallpaper in the hallway was starting to peel in some spots, but it doesn't affect the quality of the room so I didn't care. The room was very sleek and modern. The bathroom floor needed a proper cleaning, but otherwise the room was really clean and it smelled nice. The beds were super comfy and the windows have blackout curtains so you have ultimate privacy and you don't get woken up by the sunlight if that's something that bothers you. The breakfast in the morning is complementary and serve yourself style. We were actually impressed with the selection; we expected bagels and cereal, but there was also sausages, eggs, hash browns, and make-your-own yogurt parfait. Don't expect a 5-star meal or anything, but for a free breakfast it was pretty good! The hotel was very quiet, even the street noise from the highway is minimal. My only real complaint is the lack of parking. We stayed on a Wednesday night and my boyfriend still struggled to find parking at one point. I'd hate to see how the parking lot would be on a weekend. All-in-all, this is a great modern hotel that doesn't break the bank. We'd be happy to stay here again!

Brand new feel - great warm friendly staff. Made me feel important my entire stay. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the breakfast - hopefully next time there will be q banana for me. The white noise device in the rooms was an excellent touch and definitely helped me! Cool idea. Definitely will stay again

Our room was left open all day after it was cleaned ( I presume before noon time). My family and I returned late in the evening to find this surprise. Front desk staff brushed us off. Fortunately, nothing was taken.

We stayed one night at Glo Best Western while we were shopping in the Ottawa area. Was aware that the highway side of the hotel was noisy so we booked the two queen beds on the quiet side of the hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, close to the outlets. Rooms are modern. Breakfast wasn't the best but it is just a hotel buffet style breakfast so wasn't expecting much. The waffle I tried to make stuck to the pan and wouldn't come out without scraping, next persons did the same. Pastry was stale. But, over all, if that's the worst that can be said of this hotel then it is truly worth the money. Will stay here again for sure. Many thanks to the great staff!

I was on a class tour. We had 7 students in 2 rooms. We did not experience any issues. Our room was booked ahead of time by a parent, and even though this parent was not with us, it all went very smoothly

Stayed for business the first week of April. Very new hotel that opened in November. Rooms are nicely appointed and everything is new and shiny. Breakfast is included and has something for everyone. I stayed on the 3rd floor on the highway side and didn't have any issues with the road noise, there was a white noise generator built into the desk by the window. A quick Uber ride from lots of restaurants across the highway. Would definitely stay again.

I am a regular customer and stay there frequently for business travel. Easy access to nearby shopping and dining establishments. The hotel itself has that brand-new feel to it. Crisp. Clean. Well appointed rooms. Superb customer service.

Had a great time at this hotel that I want to go back and stay there and forget about the surrounding area and it was in a prime location for shopping and restaurants and would recommend this hotel to anyone

I really enjoy staying at this property. The entire team is extremely accommodating and friendly. I like the fresh look of the rooms and appreciate the non carpeted floors! The gym is sufficient and everything is very clean. I am always comfortable when I stay here.

The rooms were fun, clean and very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. I will definitely stay here again. We did not stay very long, but it was a great stay. The rooms were big and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Hotel and room was WAY too hot. Worst sleep ever. I'd suggest giving your guests the ability to use their room air conditioning if they want to. 26 degrees is NOT room temperature or a comfortable way to sleep.

Clean , friendly, different. GLo Best Western surprised us. Update new and enjoyable. Breakfast was good! Would come and stay again! Close to great restaurant and shopping and easy to get too.Thank you GLo Best Western!

Excellent hotel, everything great except fourth floor next to highway made for lots of noise. Not sure what could be done. Maybe noise cancellors. Next time will request opposite side so we can get some sleep

New hotel with beautiful modern decor and very clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was pretty avarage, but it was fine. Overall a nice experience. We were in Ottawa for a concert at Canadian Tire Centre and chose this hotel because it is so close and convenient (8min to concert, 20min to downtown). Unfortunately, there are not many parking spots. There was 1 available when we checked in around 4:30pm and we almost didn't get one when we got back at 11pm. I accidentally parked in a handicap spot (I didn't know. It was covered in snow and there is no sign in front). I'm not sure where you're expected to park otherwise. The street is very narrow and I wouldn't have been comfortable with street parking overnight. Overall, it was a fine stay for 1 night, but take parking into consideration if you plan on getting back to the hotel late at night.

Neat funky decor. Clean. Comfy bed and pillows. Nice breakfast selection. Good coffee. Liked the soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. Love this ecological way of being convenient. It was my 9yo grand daughter's first hôtel experience, the young looking setting made an impression on her.

A great hotel. Perfectly located for events at the Canadian Tire Centre, and just a short drive to downtown. The room was clean, well decorated and the staff were very friendly. Will certainly be coming back.

Everything we want in a hotel room. Spacious, bright, clean and competitively priced. The suite is ideal for a traveling family of four. My wife and I have our privacy with a comfortable king bed and the kids had a sectioned off area with a pull out bed. An added bonus is a small kitchenette area with was perfect for the kids who seem to eat non-stop. Check it out... you won't be disappointed

We found the Hotel Atmosphere very refreshing. Rooms are clean with a bright fun decor. Hotel team members were very welcoming and extremely helpful. We had missed the breakfast by a few minutes. The team offered to cook us a fresh breakfast. this was greatly appreciated. The location is perfect for a concert at the CT center and also close to tons of restaurants.

Staff was excellent. Very helpful, kind and accommodating. Hotel is very clean. Beds are very nice and comfortable. Hotel is right in between the highway and a residential neighbourhood. Rooms on the highway side are a bit noisy but the residential side is very quiet. Slept great. I would definitely stay here again every time on business.

My husband and were in Kanata for a concert for one night. Here's what we thought about our stay. Hotel/Location: The location was easy to access from the highway and very convenient as our concert was at the Canadian Tire Centre. The hotel has free parking and WiFi. The front desk staff was pleasant but rarely at the front desk. Perhaps a little bell would be useful to alert front desk staff when a guest needs assistance as we often waited around and had to call out for someone. Room: The room was clean and modern with a funky design. The beds have new standard duvet covers and super soft pillow (not my personal preference, but standard in most hotels). The bathroom was also modern and clean. They provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. They weren't amazing quality, but certainly convenient. Our King room was facing the highway, as are ALL of the king rooms. This was bothersome, as the sound of tractor trailers roaring by all night is not exactly conducive to a great night sleep. If you want the "quieter" side you have to (upgrade??) to a room with 2 Queen beds. Breakfast: The breakfast was decent. They had hot and cold options. When arrived for breakfast around 8:30am all of the tables were dirty including the centre island that had pizza sauce on it from a team that had pizza the night before. Overall: We paid about $160 including tax for our room that included breakfast. For the price it was a decent stay. I think with a few tweaks to little details it could be great!

Fantastic hotel, located in partially residential area, easy to get to off the 417. Hotel lobby, elevator area and rooms all have tons of natural light. Very relaxing feel all around. Staff were excellent, very pleasant and helpful. Attention to detail is evident. The entire hotel feels very open, airy and relaxed with well appointed rooms. The rooms are a good size and as mentioned have tons of natural light and for those who prefer more privacy or just like to sleep in the dark (like me), there are blackout shades in the rooms as well. Showers and bathrooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. Parking lot even has a pair of Electric Vehicle charging stations. Gym is a perfect size with the essential equipment for an "away workout". Very pleased with my experience and would recommend to anyone considering a stay.

The hotel has only been open a few months and everything is clean and new. It is within a suburban neighbourhood so I felt very safe and comfortable in the area and had no qualms parking my car in the lot. The check in staff provided me with a room on the side of the hotel away from the busy highway to ensure a good night sleep and that was exactly what I got. I found the beds to be very comfortable with lots of pillows options. The room was an ample size with two seating areas plus a workspace. The bathroom was also spacious with a large walk in shower. There was a breakfast served (included) in the morning with breads, assorted cereals, waffles, juice, yogurt, eggs, home fries, potatoes and fresh fruit. The cost of the hotel is a little higher than I feel is appropriate, but overall, it is a lovely place.

We stayed here three nights without any problems. Staff were great and friendly. Hotel is new. Clean and fresh smelling. Great restaurant down the street with the best food in town, friendly servers! Overall was a great experience.

New Hotel just opened at the end of 2018. The hotel is clean and the rooms are modern with comfortable bedding and pillows. You get a good night sleep. Had a bit of trouble at check in with not being upgraded or being allowed a late check out with my Diamond Select status. Not sure the person at the desk knew what it was. It never got taken care of but I received a nice letter from the manager apologizing after my stay. Breakfast area is large and has a work station of 3 computers. Food is ok. The service was pleasant, halls are a bit Apocalyptic but are very clean and well kept. 4th floor is an executive floor with a key card needed to get up to it. Never made it up there and wasnt upgraded so I am not sure what the rooms were like compared to the other 3 floors. Rooms are very clean, new, and modern. Showers have dispensers in them. Ours were empty and when we called down, they told us to come get them. So we did, problem is we didn't know how to install them and didn't want to risk breaking the new dispensers. Lots of parking and close to the Arena we were playing at.

I believe to qualify as a boutique hotel there needs to be a few special things in evidence. Granted the hotel is brand new and beautifully decorated but otherwise there is nothing of substance to elevate this hotel to above average. The breakfast on offer is acceptable but not amazing such as margarine (no butter), no peanut butter, no hot chocolate, no fresh fruit except small oranges and apples. The yoghurt provided is plain. No bacon, fake orange juice, and not even real milk for coffee and tea. They can and should do better if they are going to call themselves a boutique hotel.
