"Not 4 stars- middle of what looks like an abandoned industrial estate"
This is a very strange hotel, it's in the middle of what looks like an abandoned industrial estate. The hotel has a free shuttle service (taxi) as there isn't a way by walking to get to the hotel. We got to our room and it wasn't terrible but it definitely wasn't a 4 star hotel room. The safe didn't work so I went to reception and they said someone will come within the hour. Which no one did. Nothing is within walking distance, and outside had a strange feeling. We couldn't open the window in the room as there is two layers of windows. Also the air conditioning couldn't be controlled in the room and the rooms get very hot. To be fair the breakfast wasn't to bad but the dinners were very expensive for the portions we got. There is a red headed waitress which we found rude which I also saw a review about her a while ago which the company said they would look into. Clearly they haven't. The shower was dirty which you wouldn't expect for a 4 star hotel. It is 1 or 5 identical towers. The other 4 are abandoned and vandalised. The pool looked a green colour as well. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place as there is nothing to do nearby and it's definitely not a 4 star hotel.
"Very disappointing stay – serious room issues and poor communication from staff"
We are staying at The Hub Hotel Milan from 7 August to 9 August 2026, and unfortunately, our experience from the very first day has been extremely disappointing. When we were given room 914 on 7 August, we turned on the air conditioning and noticed that water was leaking badly from the ceiling. This caused water to get onto the floor and made the bathroom area slippery. This was a serious health and safety concern, as I was nearly about to slip when I first entered the bathroom. In my opinion, rooms should be properly inspected before being handed over to guests, especially for issues that could potentially cause an accident. We immediately reported the problem to reception at around 2:30 pm. The male receptionist was helpful initially and offered to upgrade us to another room. However, we asked whether the existing room could be repaired and whether something complimentary could be offered because of the inconvenience. He explained that repairing the room would take some time and said that something complimentary could be offered. Later, at around 4–5 pm, we went back to reception to collect the key card for the upgraded room. At this point, a female receptionist told us that she could not offer us anything complimentary and that we would have to speak to the manager, who was not at the hotel. This was frustrating because we had already discussed the matter with the previous receptionist and had been told something complimentary could be arranged. We specifically asked about using the spa as a gesture of goodwill, but this was not arranged or offered, and we were simply told to speak to the manager. Unfortunately, the communication from the staff was inconsistent. We also had difficulty getting clear information about the hotel's free shuttle bus to the city. When we checked in, we were told that there was a free bus service and were given information about the timings. However, when we later spoke to the female receptionist and asked how to get into the city and which bus we should take, we were told that the hotel shuttle had to be pre-booked. Nobody had clearly explained this requirement to us beforehand, so we ended up wasting a considerable amount of time trying to work out the transport. We were also disappointed with the way the female receptionist dealt with us when we were simply asking for help and trying to understand how to get into the city. Her attitude came across as quite unfriendly and unhelpful, which made an already frustrating situation even worse. After moving to the upgraded room 919, we unfortunately experienced another problem. The toilet would continue running for a long time after flushing and made a loud, continuous noise. This happened repeatedly and disturbed our sleep. It was disappointing to move rooms because of one problem, only to find another maintenance issue in the replacement room. Overall, we expected much better from a hotel of this standard. Within our first day alone, we experienced a water leak from the ceiling, a potential slipping hazard, problems with the toilet, disturbed sleep, inconsistent information about the shuttle service and poor communication regarding the compensation that was initially discussed. The main issue for us is that these problems should have been identified before the rooms were handed over to guests. Health and safety should be a priority, particularly when there is water leaking onto the floor and creating a potential slipping hazard. We hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves its room inspection procedures, maintenance, communication between staff and customer service. We came here expecting a comfortable stay, but unfortunately our first day has been much more stressful and disappointing than it should have been.
Dear Mr. Rodrigues, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback regarding your stay at our hotel. First and foremost, please accept our sincere apologies for the issues you experienced from the very beginning of your stay. We are particularly concerned to hear about the water leakage in room 914, as well as the slippery floor it caused. We fully understand your concern regarding safety, and we agree that such issues should be identified and resolved before a room is assigned to a guest. We are also very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the toilet issue in room 919. We understand how frustrating it must have been to move to another room expecting a solution, only to encounter another maintenance problem that disturbed your sleep. Your comments have been shared with our maintenance and housekeeping teams so that these issues can be properly checked and prevented in the future. Regarding the communication between our team members and the complimentary gesture that had initially been discussed, we sincerely regret the inconsistent information you received. We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially after you had already reported the problem and were expecting the matter to be handled consistently. We are also sorry if the interaction with our receptionist made you feel unwelcome or unsupported. We apologize as well for the confusion regarding the hotel shuttle service. Clear and consistent information is essential, particularly when guests are looking for assistance with transportation, and we regret that this was not properly explained to you. Please be assured that we take your comments very seriously. Your feedback highlights areas where we need to improve, particularly regarding room inspections, preventive maintenance, communication between departments and the consistency of our guest service. We are truly sorry that your first day was stressful and fell short of the comfortable experience you had expected from us. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, as your feedback gives us the opportunity to address them with the relevant teams. We sincerely hope that, despite these difficulties, we will have the opportunity to regain your trust and welcome you again in the future under much better circumstances. Kind regards, BW Plus The Hub Hotel
"Disappointing"
We were bused to this hotel after our flight was cancelled by American Airlines after spending 5 hours on board. We were told we were being sent to a nice hotel with dinner included. This Hotel resembles hostel. It is old, worn and not well maintained. We got to the Hotel after 9pm and we're hungry. We were told that the comped dinner would be served in the lobby. My wife and I went into the dining room and asked if we could eat there if we agreed to pay for it ourselves. Even though people were in there eating, we were told the restaurant was closed, and we would have to wait to be served dinner in the lobby with the rest of the stranded passengers from the American Airlines flight. They finally brought out trays of food for dinner. The trays had some sort of aged dried meat and some, if you asked, with turkey along with rolls. The food was lousy. We were treated like second class citizens. No beverages were offered even though they had a cash bar. We ordered and had a couple of drinks at the bar (that we paid for) along with some chips and peanuts. That was our dinner. The staff couldn't seem to care less about us. The staff provided offered no updates about our flight out, bus pick up etc. unless asked. Breakfast served the next morning was OK. Nothing to write home about.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we are truly sorry for what you encountered during your stay. We fully understand the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellation and the long waiting time, and we regret to hear that the service provided did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding dinner and on-site assistance. Your comments about the perceived treatment and the quality of the food have been taken very seriously and will be shared with our team for further review and improvement. Our goal is always to provide hospitality and support to our guests, especially in exceptional situations such as this, and we are sorry that we were not able to make you feel properly cared for. We hope to have the opportunity in the future to offer you a significantly better experience. Kind regards, BW Plus The Hub Hotel
"Great two-night stay"
I had a two-night stay in May 2026 for a concert and thought my stay at this hotel was excellent - it really exceeded my expectations. I was a bit hesitant when I first arrived as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and doesn't look amazing from outside, however inside it is completely different. The staff were really friendly when I checked in, and they kindly informed me about the free 5/10 minute shuttle service they do to the 2 nearby metro / train stations every 30 minutes - this was a lifesaver!! When they say 'shuttle' it's actually more of a private taxi, I used it 4 times during my three-day trip and sometimes there was just me who had booked it! This could easily be reserved even an hour/30 minutes before the scheduled time to leave which was super helpful. I also thought the room was lovely and spacious, it was exactly like the pictures. The bathroom and shower were quite luxurious and the room was very clean (standard room with 1 king bed). The TV was quite small however I did not find that to be an issue. Also the pool and gym are a great addition to have on the top floor, with some amazing views especially at sunset. I didn't try the hotel restaurant however there were lots of food options to order online nearby. Overall it was great value for what I paid for and the free shuttle/taxi service was an excellent service included. I would definitely stay here again.
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing to stay with us during your concert trip! We are delighted to hear that your experience exceeded your expectations. We understand that our location and exterior may give a different first impression, so it means a lot to know that once inside you felt welcomed and comfortable. It's especially great to hear that our shuttle service made such a positive difference to your stay. We're very proud of this service and our team will be thrilled to know that their friendliness and flexibility helped make your travels around the city easier and more enjoyable. We're also pleased that you loved your room, the cleanliness, and the rooftop pool and gym views — sunsets up there are definitely something special! Thank you as well for mentioning the spacious bathroom and overall value of your stay. We truly appreciate your kind words and recommendation, and we would be absolutely delighted to welcome you back again in the future. Best regards, BW Plus The Hub Hotel
"A comfortable retreat with easy access to Milan at a good value"
Very helpful staff made our stay enjoyable. Momo at the front desk made sure we had shuttle transportation available when we needed it and answered our questions and helped with small requests. The hotel is clean and maintains its charm. The Mirror restaurant has a wonderful buffet breakfast and refined and delicious options for dinner. Helena and her colleague in the Spa made our couples spa package a great experience.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your wonderful review and for choosing to stay with us. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed your experience and appreciated the comfort, cleanliness, and atmosphere of the hotel. A special thank you for your kind words about our team members. We will be very happy to share your compliments with Momo, Helena, and the rest of the staff, who work every day to ensure our guests feel welcomed and well cared for. We are also pleased that you enjoyed both the breakfast and dinner experience at the Mirror Restaurant, as well as your couples spa package. Knowing that these moments contributed to making your stay memorable truly means a lot to us. It was a pleasure having you as our guests, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon for another relaxing stay with easy access to Milan. Best Regards, BW Plus The Hub Hotel
"Not a 4-Star Hotel – Huge Disappointment"
My stay at Best Western Plus The Hub Hotel was extremely disappointing. This hotel does not deserve its 4-star rating. The location is in the middle of an industrial area with constant traffic, and mornings come with additional noise from nearby facilities. The hotel feels outdated and poorly maintained. The room was dirty, with damaged furniture, very hard beds, and non-functioning air conditioning. There was also constant noise from housekeeping early in the morning, making it impossible to relax or sleep. The pool area was unhygienic and looked nothing like the photos online. Paying €25 extra for a very basic spa is simply unreasonable. Overall, not worth the money. I would not recommend this hotel and would never stay here again.
Dear, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your stay at Best Western Plus The Hub Hotel. We are truly sorry to read that your experience did not meet your expectations. Please accept our sincere apologies for the issues you encountered with the room condition, cleanliness, noise levels, and facilities. Your comments have been shared with the relevant departments to ensure that appropriate actions are taken and improvements are made. Regarding the spa access, we would like to kindly clarify that the rate mentioned in your review does not correspond to our current pricing. Spa fees may vary depending on the package or booking conditions, and we regret any misunderstanding that may have occurred. We also regret that the location and overall atmosphere did not suit your preferences. While our position may be convenient for business travelers, we understand it may not meet everyone's expectations. If you would like to indicate your reservation and discuss the problems, we are at your disposal. Kind regards, BW Plus The Hub Hotel
"Excellent"
As a frequent traveller opinion: Excellent. As a Best Western Diamond member I has been upgraded from standard to premium room as well as early check in has been offered and room has been ready. Reception: free welcome amenities such as water, fruits, candies has been provided 24/7. Reception staff are friendly and helpful (printing, answering questions, extra amenities and iron) Room: 5th floor (premium) corner room. Bathroom with walk- in shower, bidet, hairdryer. Towel - dryer has been working all the time. Stonewall decorated, teak wood floor. Cleanliness: excellent. All towels has been changed daily, bed - linen changed daily. Intimate hygiene gel for bidet, cotton buds, shower caps added daily. Room amenities such as tea, sugar, coffee capsules has been added daily. Toothbrush and razor has been requested from reception by request (free). Iron and ironing board has been quickly delivered by staff on request. Breakfast: continental with usual assortment of hot dishes (omelette, sausages, bacon), wide range of pastries, fruits, yoghurt, fresh fruits (apples, bananas, pineapples). Staff renew buffet quickly as soon it's finishing. Pots with filtered coffee, unlimited espresso -cappuccino-latte on demand. Waiters are quick and friendly, serving coffee and cleaning tables fast. Swimming pool and gym: 14 floor, free access for all guests. Water are clean and warm, gym facilities such as: dumbles, running machines, cycles. Cooler with fresh water available. Free towels are available on gym and sunbeds near swimming pool, renewing buy staff on time. Checkout: has been surprised by free take-away water and snack. Location: good for travellers by car, underground parking available for 10€/night or lot of free spots around the hotel. Hotel located near Villapizzone bus station and frequently hosts a lot of international bus drivers (FlixBus, Marino Bus), they are parking the buses around hotel so I think it's a safe place. Btw, underground hotel parking has a few free Tesla destination chargers 15kw so it's convenient for electric car owners.
"The Hub Made Our Olympic Trip to Milan Smooth and Stress Free"
I came to Milan for the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics and was so happy to have chosen The Hub. During major international events like the Olympics, choosing the right hotel makes a huge difference in how smoothly your entire stay unfolds. The service on arrival was exceptional, and it was clear immediately that the staff were experienced in handling guests from around the world. The rooms were large and offered lots of amenities, which made it easy to settle in and feel comfortable. But one stand-out is the free local shuttle that takes you to the subway station. This was really a game changer for us since we did not know how to navigate the area properly, and it made accessing central Milan simple and stress free. The hotel has a gym and pool too, which added to the overall convenience and flexibility of the stay. I was able to walk to grocery stores within 15 minutes as well, which made longer stays much easier to manage. This hotel quietly delivers a level of practicality and comfort that becomes even more valuable when you are visiting for a major global event. Overall, The Hub is a great hotel in Milan.
"Hotel is fine, the area is not. It's unsafe."
Whilst the hotel is clean and the staff are friendly enough the area around the hotel is horrendous and doesn't feel safe. You need to walk through a long underpass to reach any amenities and yesterday I saw a guy cooking heroin in the tunnel. The pool at the hotel has been ‘temporarily closed' for 3 weeks now with no sign or word of reopening from reception.
"Just passable...maybe."
We went to Milan to attend the Formula 1 at Monza. This wasn't our 1st choice hotel, but they were going v.fast, and we had to opt for something. The staff were excellent, polite and helpful. The hotel reception, restaurant and bar areas were all really modern, nice and clean. The room itself was a massive let down. A broken window, the worktop area all blistering and peeling, the bathroom shower area and floor were badly water damaged inside and outside the bathroom door, also the glass shower screen doors rubber stoppers have come off, so it's glass on glass when you close it, which is a disaster waiting to happen, especially if you have children! ( Room 616 if anyone wants to check, or avoid. I kept some photos and a video) As we (6 of us - 3 rooms) arrived early on the Saturday morning, we bag dropped in the only room that was ready at that time, and didn't return until late on the Saturday evening. Then we were up and at it early for the F1 again, so there was not a lot of time to complain, move rooms etc. Overall I would say the hotel was a 3 - 4 star at a push, but that particular room made it more like a 2 star, especially with the over inflated prices they charged for it due to the F1 being on. The location also gets 1 out of 5. There is NOTHING anywhere near this hotel (shops/convenience stores etc) Although thankfully the hotel do offer a good shuttle service to the nearest Metro station and the Metro itself is very good in Milan. (although the shuttle stops at 10pm) Overall 5/10 for The Best Western Plus Hub.
"Fine hotel but in the middle of nowhere "
The hotel itself is good with decent facilities and a nice breakfast, all the waiting staff were nice and helpful. Hotel staff on the whole are friendly and helpful but it depends on who is on reception. Susanna was the most friendly and helpful out of all the reception staff. The problem the hotel has is that it is in the middle of nowhere and there is only a small Trattoria called Castle Rock nearby if you want to eat off site. It closes at 6pm also. There is a shopping centre a bus ride or a 10 euro cab ride away. Getting to the Molino Dorino metro station is impossible unless you pre book the hotel shuttle bus. Even then it is at least 15 stops on the metro to Duomo. Also be mindful to pre book your journey back from the metro to the hotel as the metro station late at night isn't the nicest experience. Calling a taxi late at night is a rip off as the driver will put 10 Euros on the meter even before picking you up as they are aware that they are picking up people with no other option.
"Do not stay at this hotel!!"
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Rude staff, pool freezing, awful rooms, dirty and did I mention RUDE staff. Didn't promise what they agreed at check in. Manager not around all weekend?? I wanted to leave and go to another hotel but they would T refund my money.. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
Dear Mr. saunders, after having responded to numerous emails and without having paid several extras that were consumed, we told her that we will evaluate your case, but she had no valid reason to be refunded, it was very rude to all our staff. Best regards
"Dont bother booking"
room temperature was uncomfortable, too hot. They do not let you control your own temperature it has to be done at reception! which i asked for them to do a couple of times but nothing changed. There is no where to get any refreshments during the day so you just have to sit in your room ! there wasnt even any milk in the room to make your own coffee. The restaurant was ok however there was a particular member of staff that displayed terrible customer service. She had red hair and was rude, She put us on a small table when there was space to put us on a correctly sized table, she snatched menus and even got our order wrong. She was rude we felt so uncomfortable the whole evening. My food was poor, the soup was pure salt and my dessert was still frozen in the middle.
Dear, We are sorry to read your words. Usually the temperature changes independently of the room and we are sorry if it did not manage to reach the desired temperature, we could have changed the room. The rooms are equipped with tea and coffee bags and a mini bar. We have the bar available for additions. We are very sorry for your experience at the restaurant... We have taken action on this. Hopefully it will give us another chance. Best regards from The Hub Hotel
"Nice hotel but massive issues with room temperature, only book if you're happy with sauna temperatures in bedroom . "
Hotel was clean , restaurant lovely , staff very professional. BUT we were unable to control the room temperature and the minimum temperature was 26 degrees and maximum was 29 degrees !! Unable to open windows . Will definitely stop me rebooking this hotel . When we complained they offered to change our room but that was the same temperature.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are really happy to hear that you enjoyed the facility, the restaurant and the staff. We are sorry that you had problems with the temperature in the room and we are working to solve the problem. We believe it can give us another chance. Kind regards from The Hub Hotel
"Wellness services paid but not received"
The hotel itself is pleasant, has nice furniture and inside bar and rich breakfast offer. HOwever, it was not worth its price (over100 euros per night for single use) . The premise is in a remote, industrial area, next to autoways and is practically unreachable with public transport. The hotel operates a shuttle service between the closest metro station (6 kms away), but after 10pm you need to take a taxi. The area lacks all kinds of bars, restaurants, facilities, you are unable to take a walk beyond sunset as the streets are empty and dark. I partly chose the hotel for enjoying its wellness services, but the swimming pool was closed. THey didnt inform me about this before my arrival and didnt offer any compensation. It was very unpleasant. Room windows cant be opened, no fresh air can be let inside the room.
Thank you for sharing your experience. The area is often appreciated for being just outside the paid ZTL areas of the city, but instead in close proximity to the main roads and particular points of interest. The area needs periodic maintenance and the closure of the spa and swimming pool is indicated on our website and we have informed all the agencies that collaborate with us. In any case, access to the Spa is not included in the cost in the room, but it does come at a cost. Kind regards from The Hub Hotel
"Very pleasant stay"
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in August. Hotel is very modern and clean. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bathroom was a good size and also clean. Beds comfortable. When we first arrived, we were in a room on the seventh floor. Unfortunately there was an issue with the shower. I went to reception and they sorted it straight away and moved us to another room on the eighth floor. The food is lovely. Our first night we had dinner in the hotel and was very impressed with the food we were served. They run a shuttle bus to the nearest metro station which is very handy. Overall a great stay and would definitely return.
Dear Guest, We thank you for sharing your experience and we are really glad that you enjoyed the sweeps, the food and the staff. We work every day to perfect every service we offer and we can't wait to see you again. Warm regards, The Hub Hotel
