Bedroom was clean and comfortable. The restaurant food was awful We did not have breakfast as the evening meal was so bad !! So sad, won't stay there again! The staff at reception were very good but in the restaurant Appalling
Located close to the airport, for us it was a welcome place to relax before our flight the following day, after three weeks driving around Italy. The rooms are a nice size, and have a pleasant view. The air con works. Wonderful swimming pool, that can be covered for all year round use. I'm not sure how many guests this place takes, maybe over 200, but I know that when I went to park the car, it was at the end of a pretty big carpark, a long way from the front door. Being fairly isolated, as it does cater for the airport travellers, there does not appear to be any nearby alternatives for dinner. Hence we had dinner in the Ristorante, which we found extremely disappointing. Pasta sauces seem to have been previously frozen and then defrosted in the microwave. In short, a pretty good stay for a night or two, but find an alternative for dinner.
Very close to the airport (less than ten minutes by car). Spacious room for 4 people, however quite outdated (only one electric outlet in the entire room?!) and with inefficient air conditioning. The bathroom was spacious too however basic and with low-quality soap dispensers. Unpleasant smell of cigarettes in the corridors. Checking in and out were very quick. Effective email communication before check-in.
Hotel Cavalieri Della Corona is well-located for travel in and out of Milano's Malpensa Airport (less than 10 minutes by hotel shuttle); it has a pleasant outdoor swimming pool for summertime use; its rooms and especially its suites are reasonably and competitively priced, and comfortable; and most important, its restaurant is one of the best hotel-based restaurants anywhere (try the risotto!).
We came here in tears, stranded after a day of unfortunate events. We have been in Italy for 5 weeks staying at 5 star properties - castles, villas, super high end lodging and were displaced here near the airport for two days because of unforeseen circumstances. Amanda calmed us down, got us into a room, helped us with our unsavory taxi driver situation and was so kind and comforting. The room was exactly what we needed, so comfortable and clean, but it was really how she handled us that has earned us loyalty not only towards this hotel but to Best Western as a brand. Amanda has a clear talent for dealing with people in hard situations and knows how to handle them with care - honestly, she should be managing this hotel as far as we are concerned. The highest praises for this hotel - I hope they realize what a talent they have on board!
Our family (from 9 to 80 years) chose this hotel to be close to Malpensa for a flight at 6:35am. Wow, what a great choice: free shuttle to/from airport (call reception and by the time you arrive at Porta 10, so will the shuttle) Easy, fast check-in (including room ready early) Comfortable beds with lovely sheets in a very clean room Start your vacation early: bar for drinks, restaurant with good food and pool and jacuzzi ! And, the price is right. Excellent find.
We have chosen to book a room in extreme urgent time at 2.30 am! The night porter was very professional and customer oriented.... We appreciated the soundproofing of the room and the cleaning too. Thanks.....
Solid stay. comfortable beds. Staff is great and speak english. AC was not a cool as it could be in very hot weather. No USB port outlets and limited power outlets - ask for an adapter at the reception (but it was limited to UK to Italian so if USA bring one from US to UK) Quiet location and has a free shuttle to / from the airport. However, call the hotel and specifically ask where the pick up point is (number, e.g., 10 at terminal 1 for us) for your terminal or you end up calling multiple times and waiting. Good reasonably priced breakfast. We had a late arrival and stayed there before heading to Lake Como and renting a car. the shuttle driver dropped us close to the walkway to the rental cars!
We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Malpensa airport and free shuttle offered. The room was comfortable and pretty much what we expected. We really enjoyed the hot whirlpool. The staff was professional and the breakfast was good.
This could be a nice hotel in a good location near to Malpensa airport. Unfortunately the reception service was unbelievably bad. When I got there, there was a problem with the booking made with ryanairrooms. The problem was not the hotel's and I told them I would pay for a room and sort it out later. However they left me waiting and completely ignored me while they were "waiting" for a manager. Despite my repeated request to register, pay and sort the money later, they were just rude and treated me as if I was trying to cheat them. It was really dreadful and so unprofessional for a hotel reception. This was not just one person but 2 separate receptionist behaved the same. Perhaps they are used to getting people trying to cheat with bookings, but I was genuine and they treated me so badly. I would never stay there again, even though the location suits me.
A really late arrival for us but we were well looked after by amazing staff. The breakfast was really tasty, the kids loved the amazing pool the whole morning, there is a hot jacuzzi too. The pool roof is open when hot but closed when not so good all year around. This Hotel is very close to Malpensa Airport so the have free shuttle at set times during the day/night. I was the first Hotel on our 10 day tour of Italy and was certainly there at the top for price, value and quality. We will visit here on our next trip. Amazing
During my stay here with my mum, I thought that it would be a good idea to book this hotel for our Italian holiday because of its proximity to Milan Malpensa airport and the province of Varese, where some relatives from my mum's side of the family live. The downside of this hotel is that it is surrounded by a lot of dangerous roads, as we all know the roads in Italy are a killer, and no bus stop down the road either. However, this hotel does have its advantages. A special shuttle bus operated by the hotel transports guests arriving from the airport or leaving the hotel. Milan Malpensa airport has good bus and rail connections to the city of Milan, however, if you wish to visit for day trip. Negative points: I don't like the hanging hairdryer in the bathroom, I would have preferred a hand held one that I could have plugged in. The swimming pool was too deep for me, as a non swimmer I would have liked it if it was a bit shallower. Coffee and tea were provided, but my mum couldn't stand the choice of herbal teas on offer. More English breakfast tea is needed please, because not everyone likes herbal teas. With complimentary sachets of milk if possible. The TV not only received Italian channels RAI 1/2/3 and Mediaset (Rete 4, Canale 5, Italia 1), but I could also get British, German, French, Russian, Chinese and the CNN channels via satellite. The mini bar was a cool feature and it was well stocked every day with beer, wine, Coca-Cola, Fanta, water and fruit juice as well as nuts and Loacker wafer biscuit s. The bathroom was beautiful, spotlessly clean. Only problem was the shower didn't work, though I had a lovely bath. Didn't see the point of the bidet though, they seem to be a thing in Italian bathrooms. Shampoo and shower gel, vanity kits and shoe shine sponges were also provided. In particular, the cotton buds were useful for applying my new Kiko Milan eyeshadow because an applicator wasn't provided with the compact. Beds were nice and comfortable to sleep in and the air conditioning made things a bit more bearable during humid nights. Breakfast was served on the second floor continental-style with hot beverages, pastries, meats, cheeses, etc. I can't comment on the gym because I didn't get to use it during my stay. Restaurant meal prices were moderate, with culinary specialties like penne all'arrabbiata and risotto milanese on the menu. Best of all was the fridge freezer selling Sammontana Italian ice cream, which you could buy from €2.50. The bar also has a nice lounge where you can order a drink and watch TV. Internet use on the computer and printing is free to use. Staff were very helpful when I asked for information about local attractions and they fixed my door card twice when it failed to work. Special shout out goes to Fabrizio the shuttle bus driver and Armando the bar man - hai ben fatto lavoro durante nostra resta!
We had to catch the next day noon flight from Milan to Toronto to LA. This is a logic place for an overnight stay. Since there are not many restaurants Around Malpensa to pick from, we decide to eat at the restaurant with no rxpection of a great meal. WAS I WRONG! We ordered Minestrone which came in great portion and deep flavor. We ordered Osso Buco with Risotto which covered the entire plate big enough for two. The neighboring table ordered lamb chops. He said it is his standard to order wherever he is in town. So if you are staying here for your morning flight, do dine at its restaurant , you will be pleasantly Satisfied .
Clean nice sized Rooms, Very Friendly helpful staff Shuttle bus to airport. very convenient location with a couple other hotels close by. Nice restaurant.** Extra Bonus is a delicious Ristorante Pizzeria called "Nel Buco del Mulo" ask, or look up this Translation ;) in back of hotel down a dusty road.Very short walk, Food was Delicious, Good wine, nice atmosphere** I had to give this extra bonus a shout out.
We had a 6am flight from Milan so we stayed at this hotel the night before. We arrived around noon and our room was ready and we were able to check in. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. They also called and made arrangements for a taxi to pick us up at 4am. Our room was spacious for European standards and the bed was comfortable. The room was hot so we turned the air conditioning on and it took all afternoon to cool down but it was never as cool as we would have liked. I don't know if this is normal or it wasn't working properly but we were able to sleep and didn't complain to the hotel. When we arrived at the Malpensa Express terminal station, we called the hotel but made the mistake of not telling them we were at the train station for Terminal 1. The shuttle will pick you up very near the Terminal 1 train station but it is a different pick up location if you come in on a flight. Because of that, we ended up taking a cab to the hotel which cost around 17 euros. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant which was okay. We both had pasta dishes and they tasted good but, even though they brought bread to us, there was no bread plate, olive oil to eat with the bread. The next morning when we came down our taxi wasn't there so the front desk called and got us another taxi and we made it to the airport in plenty of time.
The hotel is a simple average hotel. Clean rooms but simple. The staff is really friendly. The rest is average. The surroundings are not attractive too. It is a good place to stay if you want to fly from Malpensa airport.
Following the Good, Meh, Suck rating system, this is a solid "MEH". The good- close to MXP so one does not need to wait in traffic or leave at some ungodly hour to get to MXP. The free shuttle is a bonus but it only leaves at the top and bottom of the hour and is 10-15 minutes depending on the drop off at Terminal 1 and then Terminal 2. The bad- the room was hot, temperature hot. The a/c did not work at all. I hate the thermostats that do not show the temperature and only have a +/- 3. All week in italy, I dealt with non-existent a/c at hotels. The bed was super firm and not comfortable at all. My room had a plush chair right in the way to the bathroom so I could run into it in the night (I moved it in front of the door so as not to get hurt if I had to use the bathroom at night). No shampoo, only shower gel (minor but annoying). Wi-fi was terrible. Other than that, you get what you pay for. Will I stay there again? No. Would I say "stay away"? No. As I said, it was "meh". Good luck!
Our flight was cancelled and we were put up in this hotel. The front desk guy couldn't find our reservation. He was very snippy and slow as a sloth, granted it was 1am. The room was spacious, very comfy bed. Bathroom amenities nice. Breakfast is HUGE cold meats, cheese, eggs, hot meats, eggs. Cereal fruit, bread rolls, muffins. Nice lounge area. Wifi is good. You can hear airplanes so if you are s light sleeper may not be the place for you.
Bad location, far from everything. No restaurants at a walking distance. Hotel restaurant was not open all day, only at night. We had to take the shuttle bus back to the MXP airport just to have lunch and then come back to the hotel. Room was not clean, there was a dirty carpet smell all over the hotel and a LIVE SPIDER ON THE BED in the morning. Never again!
Very comfortable and clean room. It's for sure, a great option if you need to be near the airport for a early flight. Hotel offers free shuttle to Malpensa, which is a "big help", since the chance you are going to get stolen by cab drivers from the airport is huge (they charge whatever they want!)! Staff is friendly and helpful! Good internet. Recommend it for sure!
Lovely king size bed, good reading lights, water pressure ok. Pricing was very good. Shuttle bus drove fast to be exactly 5 mins from airport. Breakfast was €5 if not included in your booking. It was ok - lots of variety even if somethings had run out. Restaurant for dinner was surprisingly good.
Free shuttle, it was a perfect hotel for an early morning flight. Our room was clean, had three beds - 1 gigantic king, and 1 cot for three people. The cot was put up against the wall next to the bathroom, making the night trips to use the toilet difficult. Had a restaurant on site, with OK lasagna, small salad bar, and good wine. Upon entering the hotel, there is a small bar to the left. Room was too hot, we had to ask for the heat to be turned off as the thermostat was not working. Once off, it was perfect. For one night, this hotel was perfect.
Good location in proximity to the airport, with decent basic amenities - WiFi, breakfast, shuttle service, toiletries, mini bar, and free parking (except in the underground garage). Check in went smoothly, even though I think the staff were quite busy due to a lot of cancelled flights and bookings. The front desk staff is generally pleasant, I guess. They did put us in a smoking room without letting us know, which was odd since we're not smokers. At this point, we could care less - just needed a room for a couple of nights until we could get on our flight. My main complaint is about the restaurant service. We just had dinner there and the food was okay for a Best Western and I think the prices were average. However, we had a terrible experience due to one particular staff person - I think he was the restaurant manager or something. He demanded that we "pay now" or "pay here" at least 3 times - when we sat down, when we ordered, and when we were done with dinner. Never asked us if we wanted anything to drink, desserts, etc. Just kept insisting that we pay immediately. He didn't even bother to drop a check on our table - just yelled at us to come to the front to pay. Rude. BTW, we saw him drop checks on other tables. Maybe he thought we looked broke or something? If I had to stay here again, I'd avoid the restaurant.
For an airport hotel, this is not the best. The hotel is tired and dated and requires attention. The staff were helpful and the rooms clean. The rooms do require modernisation. The cleaner kept knocking on the door in the morning (08.00) trying to clean my room. I would most likely stay at another hotel next time.
I stayed a couple of nights at the Cavalieri Della Corona, the staff were really friendly, the hotel is a little bit tired but still comfortable. The WiFi is excellent! Free, available throughout the hotel and fast enough to stream video with no problem. The shuttle to the airport is frequent and quick. Breakfast is reasonable for the price you pay. The hotel is a bit remote but as it's aimed at people who are on layovers before or after flights I'd have expected nothing less. Thanks for a good stay.
Book this hotel at your peril. Stayed here in August 2017 and have been charged for 2 rooms when we only had ONE. Just posted this review as after four and a half months of complaints to the hotel and Best Western they have decided to keep my money. We booked a room but they told us the credit card did not go through and if payment was not received then the booking would be cancelled. To avoid any confusion (or so we thought) we re booked after a couple of days in my partners name. Open arrival they mysteriously resurrected the "cancelled" booking that we had not reserved and had an email from them telling us so. The really bad part is we where not told and only on finding that the payment had been taken did we realize what had happened. The reception team are totally clueless and the management and Best Western have said tough luck even though we have email proof from them informing us the reservation will be cancelled. Take this as a warning do not book.
The hotel was great for my one night stay there. The only down sides was I couldn't get the door to lock, took me a few tries and I booked a single room but they put me in a room with three single beds so it was a bit strange. Main purpose of booking here was the shuttle service to and from the airport!
We chose this place exclusively for it's proximity to Malpensa. We weren't expecting much, but it is better than that. The rooms are quite large, the bed is huge, and it has a desk to work on. Bathroom is large and clean. It's doing exactly what we needed it to do, and a little bit more. The area and town it is in is not touristy at all, but again, it doesn't need to be.
Just the restaurante, Brazilian people isn't well attended. We are so disappointed that we do not recommend it to any Brazilian. Watch out!!! We waited for over an hour and a half for the ordering dish. We lost our patience and went to the cashier to pay the bill. When we did that, the waiter fought with us for not expecting it. Wait for it !!! After he fought with us, we were disappointed we only paid the due and went away frustrated and with a bad restaurant experience. Brazilians, be careful when you go there!:( The barman is a very very cool guy! All the other staff treated us very well.
We stayed in this hotel twice on our vacation and both times it was very good. The rooms are a reasonable size, clean, and comfortable. The shuttle service was very well managed. In the morning, you reserve to go to the airport, so you know you have a time and a seat. The rest of the day, the shuttle runs when requested. We used the shuttle a lot to go to the train station to go into Milan. It was very convenient and nice. The shuttle always showed up a few minutes after we called. The hotel was a great value.
We reserved for an overnight. Airport shuttle is free, BUT, you cannot pre arrange the pickup. You have to call the hotel after you get your luggage (you do have international minutes on your phone right?). Very inconvenient and ridiculous. Not everyone can make that call. The shuttle arrived in about 15-20 minutes Check in was friendly. When we got to the room, it was stuffy. We turned on the A/C and went downstairs for coffee. After about an hour, we went back to the room, and the room was still hot. When we inquired at the front desk, they said there was no A/C in the entire building! What?? No A/C for the rest of the year? (it is Sept). NOT ACCEPTABLE. They were able to open a window which made it bearable. Buyer beware if you are a A/C freak. Morning checkout was easy. We took the free shuttle to the airport.
I made reservations months in advance, based on proximity to Malpensa Airport. Free shuttle was well staffed and arrived promptly when called. Hotel web site is touted "free" breakfast, but at checkout they charged another €5 for breakfast.
I booked this hotel just day before my business trip. When I arrived the hotel, a Korean group was checking in, It was so noisy. Finally, It was my time for check in, a reception lady was a bit unsociable, so l was not good impression. But, The hotel gave me a large room. That was a good point. And I was expecting to use the fitness and swimming pool, it was already closed at 9:00pm.
After reading comments on tripadvisor expectations were not high. But the food was really good. The atmosphere in the restaurant though is not good. Service could really be better. All in all between average and good but due to the good food the judgment is towards good.
Nice room for family, bed is large and good. Perfect parking in garage for a good price. Restaurant not optimal, but quick service. Very nice to be picked up free at the airport, driver always very gently.
Family suite - excellent facilities in the room including free Wi-fi and English language TV. Bathroom clean and spacious. The restaurant was good with a varied menu. Breakfast also good, with a wide selection of hot and cold food. Very handy for the airport and easy access to motorway.
Chose the hotel because of its vicinity to Malpensa Airport and Lago Maggiore. Having stayed in various Best Westerns all over Italy and France, we hoped this one would provide the same quality. We know that hotels near the airports don't offer much, but this one was a bit disappointing. The hotel looked very worn out and smelly. Our triple room was quite spacious and clean, nothing to complain there. The reception staff were kind and helpful. However the breakfast itself and its staff were really disappointing. We never had such a breakfast in any of the Best Westerns we stayed so far. The place looked so bad kept and unappealing. The breads, the muffins were so stale, so impossible to eat. I wish they wouldn't advertise the tasty muffins they provide in breakfast in the elevator bulletin boards. The breakfast staff seemed very stressed about closing the service as it hit 09.30?! We felt like we had to rush and leave before it was 10 am, the staff was so unhappy to see some tables sitting.
We stayed in the family suite (2 adults and 2 children). I was very impressed with the hotel, friendly staff, good sized clean room, complimentary mini-bar and pool for the children. There was free wifi and a great breakfast in the morning too. We can't comment on the evening meal (although it did smell nice) as we ate at the pizzeria in the woods, which is about a 5 minute walk away. The only thing that we didn't realise was that the pool was the same depth (1.5 metres I think), it wasn't an issue, it just meant one of us had to be in the pool with my 9 year old daughter at all times as I didn't feel comfortable sitting at the side observing. The shuttle bus was fantastic and ran smoothly. If we need a stopover at the airport again, we will certainly stay here!
Spend 4 nights there on business trip visiting the Fiera RHO(Milano). Hotel itself is old but clean, rooms and bathrooms are large. Wi-Fi all over the place, free shuttle to the airport both on every 30 min and upon request in normal hours( not sure during the night) There was also free shuttle bus to Fiera Rho twice a day which i booked it. Breakfast was more than enough and staff was very helpful in the restaurant, lobby bar and front desk. Free parking as well.
The hotel is close to Malpensa Airport Terminal 2. We chose it because of the free shuttle, but the way to reserve it is a little bit complicated and totally outdated. Even if you communicate your time of arrival by e-mail and the shuttle has a fixed time schedule, you have to call the hotel after you collect your luggage. We had to do it even if we had a foreign telephone and I asked to be spared of the call. When I called the hotel the shuttle was already on its way to the terminal, so the call was indeed superfluous. Moreover, the driver didn't have a list of people to collect and didn't check our names. We needed the shuttle also the next morning to go to Terminal 1. I tried to reserve the places by e-mail the day before, but no, you can do it only at the reception! We arrived at the hotel after midnight, so of course all the places at the time we needed the next morning were taken and we had to ask for a taxi which costed 23 euros. Good insonorization. The room and the bathroom were large even if the furnishing is very old style. There was only one electric plug, not even close to the bed, which is not enough in this era of mobile phones and tablets, etc! If you cannot install more plugs in the walls, at least you could provide one of those portable plastic ones where you can plug in 3 or 4 devices at the same time, so we shouldn't flip a coin to decide who will be so "lucky" to recharge the phone if you are two people in the same room!! I saw in the reviews that another guest complained about this and you haven't done anything to improve... Only two months ago I've been in an hotel at the airport of Amsterdam and it looked like a different planet. Ah! Very strangely I booked through booking.com but I cannot write my review there...
Hotel was okay just a shame it's in the middle of the motorway no shops around. Used their free shuttle bus to get to the airport and took bus everywhere instead of train. Staff are friendly especially the cleaners. Staff was friendly except the one that was at the restaurant was abit rude and just looking at talking in Italian about us. The staff at foh & drivers from shuttle bus was lovely when directing us to places. Would come back if it was central but wouldn't come back just because of the area its based.
Good hotel near Malpensa, convenient free shuttle to and from the airport. Restaurant is not bad at all, just the service is very slow. Buona soluzione per notte in transito alla Malpensa. Pulmino gratuito da e per l'aeroporto. Il ristorante non e' male, il servizio molto lento.
Friendly Staff. Clean rooms, not a newer room but still nice. We had two rooms both doubles with seating areas. And great shower & bathroom area. Shuttle to and from airport Pool also, we didn't use it but some were enjoying the water.
We (3 girls) arrived to Milan at Midnight, and the hostel I booked on Booking.com just did't returned my phone calls, then switched off the phone, although they'd had to pick us up at the airport, and provide a shuttle to the hostel. So we were left at the airport without a place to sleep until our connecting flight in the morning. We were devastated, and tried to find a place elsewhere than the airport. We went to the Moxy Hotel, near the airport, but the receptionist told us that they's fully booked. I told him our tragic story, and he tried to help us with a note Cardano el Campo Cavalieri Della Corona. I googled this hotel, found the phone number, and talked to "somebody". Yes, they had a room for 3. We were saved! Then we met Massimiliano at the front desk. <3 Thank you very much for everything. The free shuttle was also a life-saver, because we did't have any euros left. I'm sure, that all of us would like to return here, to those comfy beds, and try the free breakfast too.
I booked this hotel because it was closer to the Malpensa airport and good for short hours of stay. However, I was so disappointed with my expectations because when we checked in they wouldn't let us stay because I booked for two adults and there are three of us. I was traveling alone with my 13yr old twin boys because my husband couldn't come. I never expected that they don't check in like that. In the US I always booked for 2 adults and the children are free. What kind of hotel that does this to family, to make the mother separate from her children. I pleaded if we can be in the same room the three of us but the from desk staff and manager were so mean and rude. In order for them to check us in is for me to book another room for myself and have the boys stay the room for two that I booked. It was passed midnight and we were so tired from long flight from the US so I decided to pay another room for €95 euros. The rooms where in the same floor but very far from each other. My boys didn't want me to leave them so I stayed with them the entire 6hrs we stayed in this terrible hotel. I paid the other room for nothing as it was never used. Another thing their website stated that there is a complimentary breakfast however when we get to the breakfast room they asked for our room number and get charged. It was totally a nightmare!!
Shuttle was great, check in was easy, dinner was reasonable, enjoyed the pool and cold hot tub. Room was clean and spacious. However, breakfast was another issue all together, breakfast ended at 10 yet we and quite a few others were still eating, I didn't mind them beginning to clean up but it was exceptionally rude to turn off the lights. On top of that my daughter was still eating her yogurt on the way out and one of the servers physically stopped her from leaving and yelled at her to not leave with the yogurt. Yes I said yelled at her, blocked the exit with her arm. I was appalled by this behavior. 14 days traveling all over the country and never encountered this type of rude and malevolent behavior. This could have been handled much better. Don't turn out the lights on the diners. Don't yell at children for leaving with their yogurt. And please keep your hands off my child.
hotel was clean staff friendly ideal location for airport if have early or late flight as hotel provide shuttle. Breakfast ok but if your expecting a full English than sorry your not going to get one, however variety to chose from
Clean, Modern, Beautifull Hotel nearby Malpensa Airport, easy to reach and well confortable. Large room with big twin bed. Continetal breakfast good for everyone. I stayed only 1 night but I'll come back if I'll return in this area
We stayed at this hotel twice, once when we arrived and again when we left Milan. We had a nice room, free WiFi, and a decent if not spectacular breakfast. The staff helped us in every way possible to make our trip enjoyable. They helped print our plane tickets, and explained how to get into Milan for the day. Great service! The restaurant foor we good though not exceptional.
We had an early flight home and decided to stay at this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. I emailed the hotel prior to staying to enquire about the shuttle to the airport. They promptly replied giving me all the information I required. On arrival, reception staff greeted us warmly and offered a room upgrade for slightly higher rate than we had booked. We were extremely happy with the upgrade - large bedroom, clean modern bathroom and a sitting room. We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was extremely busy with guests from a couple of bus tours needing to eat at the same time. Hotel staff did their best with the rush, keeping up with food and utensils. The shuttle to the airport was on time. We would recommend this hotel.
This hotel prompted me to sign up with Trip Advisor to leave a review (as we'd benefited from reading reviews tremendously in planning our trip). Airline changed our departure time to nearly an hour EARLIER. To decrease stress of worrying about making it to Malpensa airport in time for our early international flight, we decided to check out a day early from our place in Milan and book two rooms at this place for the last night. The early 4:30 AM start free shuttle to airport and 5Euro breakfast (starts at 5:30AM) made us pick this vs. the other airport hotels nearby. We were glad we did, for we then heard that Italian transportation was going on strike. We learned it would be impossible to get Taxi then, not to mention it would cost us 95Euro for each taxi ride to airport anyway in the morning, and we would hit traffic for sure. We used our Return ticket on Malpensa Express to get to Malpensa the evening before our departure. Once arriving at Terminal 2, we called the hotel and asked for the shuttle service. Probably because it was noisy and we didn't hear the instruction properly, we walked a short 3 min walk from Train stop to front of Farmacia sign at Departure area and waited for shuttle. 40 minutes later and shuttle still hasn't shown up, we called again and learned that we were supposed to call for shuttle once we reached the Farmacia waiting area. Shuttle showed up no more than 5 minutes later. An 7 passengers very comfortable van for the 5 of us. Check in was easy, and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Spoke English better than any Italian we knew. (We were glad we booked 2 rooms for 5 of us. Would have been hard to sneak in that 3rd kid since we had to book the return shuttle to airport next day for 5 anyway). Definitely reserve shuttle for next day, as shuttle leaves on the hour and half hour. Not sure what they would do if more than 7 people wanted to leave at the same time. Rooms were humongous. (1 family room and one King sized room with small suit) and very clean and comfortable. A bonus was the pool and hot tub which we took advantage of immediately to help our aching traveler-bodies. There was a restaurant which seemed full, but having read lukewarm reviews about the expensive lackluster food, we'd made sure to eat dinner before we arrived. We used the hotel computer and printer to print our boarding passes--definitely cutting down our time standing in line at airport next day. Breakfast was the best 5Euro price to be had in our whole trip. There were fresh scrambled eggs, bacons, warm boiled eggs, ham, turkey, yogurt, warm croissants and bread, muffins and many more items. Coffee and juice. Check out was literally 2 minutes with another friendly receptionist. Right on the dot of our scheduled shuttle ride, the driver showed up and helped us with our luggages. He dropped us off right in front of our airline's check-in gate. Though it was an added expense, our last night stay at this airport hotel made the trip home so much more bearable and less stressful. We were very glad we did this.
We booked this hotel due to it's location near MXP airport since we had to be at the airport in the morning. The room was spacious (king and two singles) and clean, the staff very welcoming, and the restaurant, surprisingly good. We enjoyed a very nice dinner and the breakfast buffet was great (only 5 euros per person). A great stay at a great price.
We stayed one night recently at the end of a long holiday. The hotel was clean, room was really big, staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was surprisingly good. I usually avoid restaurants in airport hotels because the food is often basic and not very appetising, however the restaurant here was excellent.
I have no complains for this place, it was worth every penny! The room was big and clean, and the staff was incredibly helpful. They speak fluent English, give you advices, and even gave free toothbrushes and paste for my friend and I. Another great reason to stay here, is that they offer you free shuttles to the train station and to the airport. We could not ask for anything better.
The location was just great and the room was very nice--spacious with a very comfortable bed. The young lady at the front desk was a sweetheart and very helpful to us. The hotel transfer from and to the airport was wonderful.
Stayed at the best western cavalieri della corona hotel in milan. It was clean, pleasant. Most of the staff were polite and helpful. Loved the free shuttle bus to and from the airport. 10 minutes away from Melpensa airport. Even though it was so close to the airport there was no noise at all. Peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was good not lots of variety but decent enough. Room was a good size clean and comfortable. Needs more electric sockets though. We had 1 in our room and the switch on that was not working properly. NEED MORE ELECTRIC SOCKETS. No facilities near by the hotel, however due to the shuttle bus service that's not a problem. The iron facility was good too. MY DISAPPOINTMENT I had informed staff that we were staying for hubby's birthday. I was told by some staff that complimentary gift would be provided however this did not happen. This was a big disappointment. As I made further inquiries about this and was told that I had been misinformed. This upset me a lot. To many mixed messages from staff. Guest should be made to feel welcome with some kind gestures. On the whole it's a good hotel for a short stay to visit milan. I would stay again.
This was the only hotel available in close proximity to airport for the night we needed that had met my requirements : free parking and pool... guess what, pool was out of order... even if it was in working condition, they MUST show pictures, disclosing that its not really Indoor, its an outdoor pool with a TENT above it, in November... Room was good, very clean, 1 king and 2 single beds, we even were provided with a bottle of champagne for inconvenience.
We needed a hotel close to the airport and chose Best Western by chance. We were overall satisfied and friendly welcomed by the staff. Clean room, wide bathroom, nice bar, good restaurant, not to forget the swimming pool. Surely, recommended.
Myself and 5 friends are staying in this hotel in two weeks time. I booked the 5 rooms on their behalf and guaranteed them on their behalf. However I have discovered they have charged my credit card with the full amount for the 5 rooms, claiming they reserve the right to pre-authorise my credit card. This is ridiculous 2 weeks out. Now my credit card has little left on it to use prior to arriving. I am not happy. I have tried to communicate my concerns but I am just receiving a generic reply. I need to be assured the this charge will be reversed once we arrive when my friends will pay for their rooms separately.
Nice bar, excellent restaurant, wonderful breakfast for 4€. What's not to love? My room was spotless and nicely furnished, the shower had great water pressure. The shuttle bus will pick you up at Malpensa - you do have to call the hotel to arrange pick up, so you need a cell phone that will work internationally - or use Skype as I did. When you check in, reserve your seat on the shuttle bus back to the airport for the next morning. Since I was traveling on United, the bus driver dropped me off at the last door at Malpensa - that saved me a lot of walking through the terminal! This is now my "Go To" hotel.
Rooms are not large but comfortable. The airport shuttle operates until 11:30. Our flight was delayed and we wandered for a long time at the airport to get a taxi (expensive). The reception process was quick and pleasant, but, in the morning, we had to wait 45 minutes for a ride to the airport, since the receptionist did not bother to inform us that we had to reserve places for transportation the following morning.
We arrived in Milan Malpensa Airport last March 6,2017 at 8pm. I called the hotel for the complimentary shuttle van and the person who answered was friendly and accommodating. We waited at the designated pick up area and the driver arrived within 8-10mins. He was nice to help us with our heavy luggage. The hotel was only 5minutes drive from airport. Upon check-in, we were greeted by the hotel staff and asked us if we needed anything. They arranged our transfers for the next morning as we were flying out from Malpensa. Service was excellent. Our room was clean and we were provided with toiletries. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and we will definitely book BW Cavalieri if we are in Milan.
The hotel is about 5 min drive from Malpensa Terminal 2, several more to Terminal 1. It has a comfortable shuttle service till late evening - when I arrived, I arranged it by phone and it only took them several minutes to pick me up. The morning the shuttle service was pre-arranged the night before. The double room was comfortable, with an enormously large bed (I think a family of 4 could have slept there ;). The bathroom was also big, with standard Best Western toiletries and plenty of white soft towels. The hairdryer worked fine. Wi-Fi was also working well, including the room. The hotel bar had several hot snack choices (including the piadina!) and the breakfast was ok. Breakfast was not included in my room price and it was really nothing special, but the price of 4EUR is quite fair for what's on offer. Cappuccino came from the bar and that is good enough already. I think I will book again when I have to take super early/late Milan flights.
We have stayed here 3 or 4 times as a family flying out of Malpensa. 2 adults and 2 kids in the quadruple family room (Not the family suite) on the second floor is spacious with a massive double bed, I mean big enough for 4 people easy, plus 2 single beds. Warm, clean, big room, big bathroom and very handy for the airport. I think the hotel run a shuttle bus to the airport. We drive to a local restaurant for dinner 10 minutes away Quinto Elemento which has never let us down. Free parking, nice restaurant for breakfast
Traveling as 4 people is always difficult in Italy, but you cannot go wrong when booking a Best Western hotel. The room was spacious, clean, the mattresses comfortable, with many good, usable amenities. The dining on the premises looked good, is open late, but we opted to taxi into the nearby town for dinner. Breakfast was generous with a good selection of very good breakfast foods. Make sure to reserve space for the airport shuttle as it is quite busy. The shuttle is great and makes things so much easier. Would definitely stay again when leaving out of Malpensa!
Hotel is near airport. Has free parking and fast internet. Rooms are not very big but comfortable and clean, has some problems with soundproof. Breakfast was nice. Staff is helpful. Good for a stop over.
Rooms are clean, and with a lot of space. The dinner stay open pretty long and breakfast was great. If you are flying into Milan they have a shuttle to pick you or drop you off. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.
Spacious clean room with tea/coffee facilities and all toiletries. Shuttle to and from Malpensa Airport starting earlier than from other hotels around (4:30am). To be picked up in the airport just call the hotel. Early breakfast possible Great value for money Very recommendable
Hi ,i stayed the night of USA election.unlike other italian hotels, this one had bbctv one a d two.not that am tv buff.but like to know thats happening .?.the sleep was 5 star.breakfast after 9 infloor 2 was also tops.attentive staff.after i checked in ,i booked on line via agent.this went ahead without delay.large numbers arrived after me on busses.this seemed to be swift.i was having coffee at bar and noticed.if you like great sleeps and great brekkie ,get yourself to this hotel.
Since my colleague was flying into Malpensa we stayed at the Best Western Cavalieri Della Corona for one night. I was upgraded to suite 141 which was a large, modern apartment with living room and bed room. I paid 120 EUR for the night. What I liked + Very nice welcome by the service staff although a bus of Asian visitors arrived at the same time (with the usual loud noise and problems) + Good restaurant with friendly and fast service + VERY fast internet + Free parking (also covered available) + large room with modern setup What I did not like + The isolation of the room was awful so I had problems to keep the room warm. Heating is only forced air (air conditioning) and it is not sufficient to warm up the room. So I was actually freezing at night. + Breakfast was a disappointment. Not only is the atmosphere rather like a train station with cheap tables but also really low quality food. The juice is mainly water with some color, the cheese had already dry edges and the coffee was not drinkable. + Power plugs in this hotel are still on the old Italian standard so typical European plugs will not work! I can recommend the hotel but expect not to have a eatable breakfast.
Excellent property, well maintained; my 2nd stay, staff always helpful & courteous & friendly. Shuttle service to and from airport was prompt and timely. The room and amenities were great. The dinner & breakfast were very good.
Staff at the hotel were really nice and helpful, offering the free shuttle service to and from the airport when we needed it. Found one of the shuttle men really rude which wasn't a nice welcome to the hotel at all. Nice rooms but we were on the ground floor and it was FREEZING!! Not sure what happened there!
If you're arriving late in Milan Malpensa and would want to spend the night nearby, then this hotel is a good choice, as it's just about 2 - 3 kilometers from the airport (about 5 - 8 minutes by car). The hotel also provides free shuttle to and from the airport, which could save you additional taxi costs. The only thing is, you have to call the hotel once you arrive at Milan Malpensa, and then wait for a minimum 30 minutes for the shuttle bus to arrive. Anyhow, in our case, we still appreciated it, especially when they happily brought us back to the airport the next day. The driver was very friendly and accommodating, even guiding us where to buy train tickets to the city and where to board the train. By the way, if you need to use the shuttle bus in going back to the airport the next day, you have to inform the staff at the reception when you check-in so that they can schedule the shuttle bus for you. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, good for a relaxing night after a long travel. The restaurant is opened until 11:30 PM, and the food, although not excellent, is not that bad. I think this hotel is popular for group tours, as we arrived together with a busload of tourists; it's a good thing we arrived a few minutes earlier than them, otherwise, it would have taken longer for us to check-in. The check-out was quick; staff are very friendly. The room is average: on the small side, but clean, with basic amenities. One thing we really appreciated is the very fast wifi. Overall, the quiet, relaxing sleep cannot be beat, although the price is a little more expensive compared to similar hotels.
Stayed here after arriving late in Milan for 1 night - Free shuttle took ages to come and I wasn't aware they offered it to be honest until a genuine honest taxi driver rang up the hotel and requested it - took an hour to come which wasn't the best at 11pm at night! Also don't ask the hotel to book a taxi for you.. 20 Euros to go 2 miles clearly a premium taxi firm.
This is quite ok for the price and is what you would expect from an airport hotel. Rooms are ok and quiet. Breakfast was ok and staff attentive. Parking at premises is free. Checking in and out was quick. The only downside is that we were charged for a baby crib, something that surprised us because it never happened before in a hotel.
5 minute drive from the airport, with this hotel's free shuttle. Quiet, clean, and with friendly staff. If you walk to the main road, turn left, then right at the roundabout, there is a beautiful, green, peaceful forest with good walkways. Especially good after sitting in a plane for hours. My one regret, sadly, was our experience in the restaurant in the hotel. We ordered Cabernet Sauvignon, but they brought a Sauvignon blanc, and insisted that that was what I ordered. Obviously, because Sauvignon was in the name. Not wishing to make a scene in the quiet restaurant, I acquiesced meekly. My husband's meal was swordfish steak with crispy vegetables. No crispy vegetables. When the waiter later asked how everything was, my husband replied "don't ask". So the waiter walked away. The whopper was tbe bill €70 for 2 meals that were average to say the least, cold bread rolls, no butter or oil, water and the WHITE not red, wine. There was also a cover charge for each of us. Not a nice way to end our beautiful holiday.
We arrived to Milan Malpensa airport by train at 11:30 pm, gave them a call and were picked up by their shuttle in 10 minutes. Practically instant check-in helped a lot. The room was nice, the bed - extra large and pillows - very soft. We stayed for one night and left at 7:30 in the morning to the airport by their shuttle (make a reservation in advance). Included breakfast had a variety to choose from. Hotel is conveniently located within 10 minutes from airport. Nice, clean and modern. Highly recommended.
Cavalieri della Corona is located 10 minutes' drive from Milan's Malpensa International Airport. The hotel provides a shuttle bus service to and from both of its terminals and railway station. The shuttle bus leaves every half hour so be sure to check its schedule with Reception if you have a tight connection. Reception is very welcoming and helpful. The hotel's restaurant serves international food with an emphasis on Italian cooking, naturally. We had a great room for our one night stay. It was very large with a spacious, well-appointed bathroom. Would certainly stay here again.
Everything went well... Hotel rooms a little smaller than expected but very clean which was great. Reception staff were all lovely and helpful. The staff who are in the breakfast area are the worssst. I asked for a fried egg cause I don't eat microwaved scrambled eggs... I had no issue paying extra until the lady told me it is €10 for one fried egg.. So I asked for the menu to confirm this price. She basically thought she could rob me. And I thought that act is disgusting within itself. It's not the money it's the principal
Great room for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. But the food side is not child friendly, no children's menu, no offer to accommodate our children and the food menu is not suitable for toddlers. Bar service during the afternoon is dreadful and breakfast is basic but ok for the rate. Pool was a little cold, but the hot tub was fantastic. I would return for the quality of the room and the bed if I was on my own, but not with my family. Very big and very comfortable bed, which enabled a good sleep. But the very poor service for evening food is a major issue. What made us smile was that the hotel information in the room said they were child friendly! When we asked about smaller portions or a child's menu, the answer was simply no! Very close to airport.
Very convenient if you are in transit in Malpensa airport, with very efficient shuttle from and to the airport. Very good food, clean and quiet room. However, the room was pretty sad and old-style. I expect something more from a 4-star hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious and plentiful breakfast, good location, free transfer between airport and hotel, clean room and bathroom. I recommend everybody this hotel, good value for money.
Good points: Free Shuttle Bus, Cheap breakfast and good base. Stayed in the hotel during a weekend in July and found it clean tidy and basic. Initially we were skeptical due to the TA reviews and how far away it is from Milan Centre, however it did its job. Everything is a little dated, however it's a cheaper hotel and you're likely to spend most of your time outside it anyway. The bed was a little hard but this could be the standard double room setup so an upgrade may mean a better bed. There is a fridge in the room and was useful for midnight snacks. Breakfast was €4 each for a decent buffet selection and you couldn't complain at the quality. Would recommend for convenience. We didn't eat in the restaurants however they were looking quite full both nights we were there. Room service was the same as the restaurant menu however the vegetarian options were lacking a little. Make use of the shuttle bus. When you arrive at the airport, call the hotel number and they'll pick you up - even before you've checked in. Then every time you need it just ask at reception or call from the airport. (We used a pay phone at the airport and it costs €0.40) Staff were very helpful and helped us with flight times, taxi and train options when our flight was cancelled last minute. Train from Malpensa airport into Milan was €18 and you save a little if you get a round trip ticket and head towards Cardona instead of Milan Centre. This takes you near the Castle and fountain.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a last minute deal to visit Milan. It is quite a way from Milan, 25 minutes on the train from Malpensa Airport and costs 18 Euros for a return per person. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, it is about 10minutes from Malpensa Airport. The hotel run a free shuttle service, so make good use of this as we got ripped off by a taxi driver when we arrived! There is nothing around the hotel but we went into Milan on both days and had a lovely lunch and dinner out and just came back to the hotel in the evenings to sleep. We had breakfast one day and for 4 euros per person I can't complain. There was lots of selection including meats, egg, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, bread etc. You can have as much or as little as you like and I would recommend this for ease and value. It was perfect for visiting central Milan as the friendly shuttle drivers took us to and from the train station for free and we hopped on the train to Cadona Station and we were in the centre of Milan! They also picked us up when we called from the train station and were there within minutes. When we left they also took us to the airport for no fee and it was only 5-10minutes making the journey very easy for us. I would recommend staying here for visiting Milan but be prepared that there is no restaurants, bars etc outside of this hotel as it is off the motorway in an industrial estate. However for what we paid we had a fantastic time and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the hotel was very clean.
I had to spend another night in Italy after a week in Milan. This is a good choice from a number of hotels near Malpensa Airport. I took the train to the airport then caught the free shuttle to the hotel. You do need a phone to call the shuttle! The shuttle back to the airport was so convenient. The rooms are basic, and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The only problem is that it's not close to any other restaurants. I chose the buffet for dinner and much of it was inedible though I came early in the evening the mussels and chicken were just too overcooked. There were other items to choose from and water, wine and dessert were included.
The hotel is adjacent to Milan's airport(7 minutes drive) it's exactly what I needed landing with my family at midnight, before a long day of driving to the Italian Alps. it's a Good hotel for overnight stay after late landing.
Ok for a night, nothing more. I had a very sad afternoon at the hotel. Basically I sat at an empty, freezing swimming pool with no towels or sign of any other human life. I then decided lunch may perk me up. I was wrong. The empty 'American Bar' (which more resembles a hospital waiting area from the 70's) didn't really have the ambience to entertain me for an hour as I waited for anyone to order water and lunch from. I did ask the reception staff several times if anyone was working in the bar. I was told with much distatse that someone would be there soon and was beginning to feel I had offended the staff by swimming in the deserted pool and trying to order a Gin and Tonic. Anyway - I finally got my lasagne, which tasted like a microwave meal and it was 19 euros. Brilliant. Pretty depressing place and not this best introduction to Italy - but hey it is an airport hotel, it's close to the airport with a free shuttle service. So if thats what you need, it will certainly suffice.
Flying often very early I have stayed i several hotels in Malpensa area. I may say I have chosen this one as my favorite as up to date and next time I have an early or late flight I will surely stay there again. My reasons . Room even very simple was clean, comfortable beds ,perfeclt white towells, adecuate size. Flat Tv screen . very very profesional, helpfut and gentle staff. We had decided to park our car at the airport, but we were adviced that for a very reasonable price we could leave our car at thier parking and shuttle started early enough to take us on time cor our early flight. Unlike other hotels, they start this service al 4:30 am and they would leave you at the entrance you need. ( may I say other hotel shuttle left me on a prefixed point that was too far from my checking counter and rushing with heavy bags was not very easy) Deiver was very polite and helpful. I saved a good amount taking this free service instead of parking at the airport. Other convinience was that you arrive relaxed not having to look for a free space at airport parking . At our return we only have to call them and in 10 minutes they will pick you up. Restaurant had a good menu and dishes were well cooked. Pasta as well as osobucco were perfect. I was almost fortetting, there is a big scale to weight your luggage before leading to the airport. This can sabe you a lot of money and a headache Thank you for making us depart relaxed and on time
This is the 4th time we have stayed here and it is a great position for flying in and out of Malpensa. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. A bonus is the hotel shuttle at no charge, to and from the airport. Would I recommend it, the answer is yes I would.
Overall, the room was a good size and bed comfortable and the hotel very clean. The major issue we had was that there was no provision to provide air conditioning as it was not time. We stayed at the end of March and it just happened to be particularly warm. We asked for a fan in the room but this was not one available. The only option we had was to open the windows and this was noisy - we found the stay uncomfortable because of this. The other inconvenience was that there was a complete lack of power sockets in the room. Good points were: the airport shuttle, the bed was comfortable, location was good and staff were very helpful within there remit. We would not stay here again.
Stayed at the hotel awaiting flight back home after tour of Italy. There were several people checking in so there was a wait since there were only two people manning the front desk. The room was nice sized as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable but we could not figure out the thermostat. We ate at the hotel restaurant. The food was okay, it took quite a while for someone to come take our order. The breakfast was typical of those we experienced in Italy. Assortment of breads, cakes, some whole fruit, cereal, eggs and bacon. Coffee, tea, juice and water were also available. We used the shuttle to go to the airport, made a reservation the night before. Shuttle runs for a limited time so make your reservation early.
big and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. free shuttle to and from the airport this is for sure my favorite airport hotel. came here since I went from here to Venice to the Carnival. the shuttle helps also to go and rent a car in the morning
The good and the bad. The Good: The Food. The restaurant serves a great dinner and the breakfast is also good and a value! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are what you would come to expect for a European Best Western. The Bad: My main complaint was the room temperatures. HOT!! Sauna Hot. When I opened the door to my room for the first time I was overwhelmed by how hot the room was. I soon realized the only way to remedy this issue was to shut the heat off entirely and then open up the window. This was the only way to sleep at night was with the window open (the temp outside where well below freezing). The other complaint is the facility says it has a workout area, but this is almost laughable as it is in the basement of the property and the workout equipment looks to have come from the 70's. Overall, not a bad hotel for the price and certainly for being near the MXP Airport.
This hotel served our purpose of an overnight stay en-route to Livigno, but was a little disappointing. There are very few restaurants in walking distance, and the "indoor pool" is not heated in winter. The room however was a nice size for a family of 4, did offer coffee-making facilities and the breakfast was of a good quality.
Clean, comfortable, excellent location for Milan's Malpensa Airport. Shuttle service, early coffee prior to breakfast time, helpful staff. Bed was comfortable. Only shortfall is that I did not receive the requested 5 am wake-up call, or, perhaps, the phone was not working.
Good breakfast and quiet rooms. Close to the airport and very friendly staff. I recommend this hotel as it is so close to the airport. They also offer room and parking packages which are very reasonable.
We have used this hotel on several occasions on route to Sardinia from the UK , the hotel pick you up from the terminal then drop you off the following day , we normally just phone them when we land , the reception staff are efficient , they also speak very good English if you can't speak Italian the rooms are clean and warm , we don't tend to eat here due to flight times ( 11pm) but normally manage a quick drink in the bar before it closes . This is not the fanciest hotel (nor most expensive ) but for an overnight between flights it's ideal .It does have a pool which is a bit long in the tooth but my kids didn't seem to mind as they splashed about , we were the only ones there
I called to the reception after arriving to the a/p, and shuttle arrived in 10 minutes. Morning shuttle was precisely at 5.00. Service was quick and effective, the big enough room has the cattle with good tea - what more do you want from the a/p hotel?!
We stay one night because we had a flight the next day, they pick up us from the airport with the hotel shuttle bus, when you arrive is need to call because they dont receive mail request to pick you up by appointment and you will get cold waiting, also the night driver is not laughing!!! The location is 10 minutes from Terminal 1. The check in was fast and the room was very very clean and confortable.Wifi was fast in the room. Is need to give more choice for late travellers with low budget price dinner or a standard snack, especially if you have children. Next morning we make check out and they get us back to terminal 1.The driver very proffesional and gentleman. I will suggested and next time i will choose it,also in the same neibourghood is another hotel, maybe they serve dinner or room service 24hours.
We stayed one night on a stop over between Edinburgh and Brindisi. I telephoned the hotel when we landed at Malpensa and we were promptly collected by their minibus. The reception staff were very friendly and the room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. However, the tea/coffee making facilities were inadequate with not enough coffee and no milk or whitener - minor gripe. The restaurant was too expensive for tired budget travellers like ourselves so we walked 500m to a pizzeria. The hotel should do a simple low cost option for dinner for those not on an expense account. Breakfast on the other hand was splendid and excellent value for money at four euros per head. Scrambled eggs done to perfection! We would certainly stay again.
The Best Western hotel chain has acquired some interesting properties of historical merit across Europe and operates them as hotels. The Cavalieri della Corona ("Knight of the Crown") hotel, a half dozen kilometers from Malpensa airport, is not one of them. It is, instead, just what you would expect of a Best Western in the United States: a bland, characterless mid-range accommodation that gives you a decent place to sleep. Everything about the Cavalieri della Corona cries out functionality: the cookie-cutter design and the identical rooms and furnishings, all seemingly from Santa's Ikea workshop. Everything in the room works, just as it ought to: the lights, the bed, the Wi-Fi, the bath. The breakfast spread on the 2nd floor is ample; the à la carte dinner in the ground-floor dining room is decent if not always inspired. Most important, the Cavalieri della Corona delivers on why you're there: quick access to nearby Malpensa airport. A van leaves every half-hour to deposit guests at the terminal door for their onward flight. If you're arriving at Malpensa, call when you've picked up your luggage and the van will glide into the terminal for you in just ten minutes—no extra charge. So if you're coming into Lombardy late at night and don't feel up to the hassle of making your way to your real destination that night, the Cavalieri are ready to ride to your rescue. Or if you're leaving from Malpensa early in the morning and don't want to have to wake up at 4 AM in Milan or Como to get to the airport, the Cavalieri are at your service. It is, essentially, an affordable airport hotel a half-dozen kilometers from the airport—a hotel of countless one-night stands. It does its job very, very well.
This hotel has all the charm of a sine wave. The staff struggle mightily to make you feel welcome, but its an uphill struggle against aggressively cold lobbies, broken heating systems, and mediocre food. At least the bar is close. If you have to stay at the airport, I'd suggest checking other options
We stayed here the night before our flight home from Italy to be close to the airport. This was our second time to stay here under the same circumstances and we would again. We were not disappointed. The courtesy van service was excellent. Our dinner at the restaurant was fine and a typical hotel meal.
Amazingly quiet locale, convenient to Malpensa Airport. Regular and on-demand FREE shuttle. My room was clean and modern, with very comfortable bed. From shuttle driver Ricardo to the restaurant staff, all were helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is the best value for €4. I highly recommend this hotel for value and service!
Stayed here on my last day out after visiting Expo Milan 2015. Nice hotel and they pick you up from the airport and drop you back. Restaurant was reasonable. Will stay here. I had a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the entrance nevertheless did not find it noise.
For a q quick stay its Ok, would not spend any significant amount of time. Bed was uncomfortable, food was marginal especially the dinner buffet. Breakfast was Ok, not spectacular. Shuttle to airport was quick and they were responsive.
This is a relatively new hotel with clean and comfortable rooms near Malpensa Airport. Although for various reason MXP has failed to be a major air transport hub, the distance from Milan, and the traffic, has resulted in the mushrooming of many hotels. Only two are located on the terminals and all the others, including this, about 3 miles away. There are no or limited amenities at a walking distance from this hotel and taxi are very expensive in the airport area. As a consequence you have to use the restaurant and the facilities of the hotel which are limited and overall not great. The hotel offers a free shuttle service every 30 min(except for several hours after midnight) which in my case it was oversubscribed and I had to wait for the next (probably my fault as I didn't book in advance). The positive is that the hotel is new and the rooms are cleans and everything is in good working conditions. The negatives are many: it is a cooky jar building with no real design and cheap material, the soundproofing of the rooms is substandard and so was the food. When I was there the hotel was full and the staff was trying their best but was insufficient and overwhelmed. As for many airport hotels, the price of the room and the quality of services varies with the number of guests, which can be unpredictable based upon flight cancellations. Although this is better than similar nearby hotel, I will not stay here in the future. If I have a short layover, I will book one of the hotel on each terminal. If the layover is longer I will go by train to one of the hotel on Porta Garibaldi, an area with many hotels and exciting restaurants and things to do
Nice, clean, very confortable if you need to travel from Malpensa. Rooms are big, bathroom also, but I would prefer movable shower, not the one fixed. Breakfast was standard, the value money –price was very good. Staff is helpful.
Hotel near Malpensa airport, offers free shuttle. Conveniently located near the highway, free parking and wifi available. Outside Pool offers refreshing end of the day, on-site restaurant, but also near good and affordable Pizza restaurant, within walking distance.
Average business hotel close to the airport. OK and clean room but hard bed. Too much noise, not only from aircrafts flying, but also from the next door room and the corridor. Service was not the best, I think the staff wasn't used to handle 140 Norwegians at once. This also led to a bit chaos during breakfast giving problems with seating - not enough space - and the fact that a lot of the food in the not so big buffet was never replaced. Not impressed.
This hotel has good amenities, but truly lacking work force. Check in and out takes time. There is not enough workers in bar/lounge and everything takes time. Also, lack of workers creates irritation in reception and workers mainly take time in telephones and in computers. Restaurant is good, although there seems to be buffet and food quality is suffering due to that. So, if You order ala carte, You can expect somewhat a disappointment. Hotel has one good thing, it is very close to Malpensa airport. But if it were close to some city or village, You could have a good culinary choices.
Stayed 1 night at hotel before flying out next morning. The hotel is clean and had spacious rooms and bathrooms with nice shower/tub. Internet was included and good. The restaurant had good food and a varied menu. The shuttle to airport ran every half hour. Most importanly, had a good night sleep before flying.
We booked this hotel because of proximity to the airport, free shuttle and price. The rooms were large, but seating limited - other than the bed. One person at reception was helpful, but others were very curt. Shuttle was good, very close to airport. I appreciate that there was food onsite - but the restaurant was a mess - understaffed, overpriced, limited menu.
Arriving in Malpensa earlier than expected on a colds rainy morning, we were pleasantly surprised when, after calling the hotel (as instructed) to arrange for the courtesy shuttle we were told that the bus would be sent immediately. Indeed about 10 minutes later we were on our way to the hotel … all of this was at 06.30a.m. Fifteen minutes later we were in the hotel foyer fully expecting that the check-in rule would be applied … not so, the staff busied themselves to find us a room and shortly afterwards we were snugly settled and invited to have breakfast, a pleasant surprise after a 22 hours flight from Perth (Australia). The front desk staff spoke good English and, more importantly, all were sporting a broad, welcoming and genuine smile … something rarely encountered at hotels front desks these days. We had booked the hotel for a two night stay and we have to say the choice of hotel was mainly due to the fact that we have always received good reception at Best Western establishments, although this time we felt that this being an ‘airport hotel' the rooms may be small and perhaps a bit noisy, this was not the case; room was spacious and absolutely soundproof; bed comfortable and bathroom super clean. Breakfast was a relaxed and excellent affair; likewise the evening dinner in the hotel dining room was well above expectation. Here too, the staffs were attentive and genuinely keen to please. The coffee lounge (ever so important on cold and rainy days) was staffed by staff and, as the place was not super busy, the bartender was more than happy to chat which made the one or two glasses of wine even more pleasurable. The hotel is located not far from the airport in the small town of Cardano al Campo. Don't let this put you off booking into this hotel if planning a short visit to Milan. The combination of the regular hotel airport shuttle and an excellent rail service from Malpensa to Milan makes Milan historic centre; the Expo grounds and Milan fashionable via Montenapoleone readily accessible. If you board the Cadorna train from Malpensa, the historic centre, La Scala, il Duomo etc are all at a pleasant walking distance or by Metro. Similarly from this station you can visit the Castello and Parco Sempione. If you happened to board the wrong train, fear not. From Centrale you can reach all of Milan finest by public transport, but the Metro is probably best. If, from the hotel, you make your way across to Gallarate, you can also catch regular trains to Lago Maggiore and on occasions into the Ticino area of Switzerland. In short if you are planning an overnight stay in Milan and want to be near the airport for an early departure, you can't go past the Cavalieri della Corona in Cardano (Malpensa).
Hotel overall is ok rooms are ok, ac works, all that you would expect from a BW.. However dont make the mistake of booking this hotel through another site because it is between 10-20 euro cheaper per night than the BW app or the BW site directly, and then expect a welcome back to our gold card loyal members! Upon arrival my card and status is simply ignored and when finally the third time asking / mentioning i got told off that i will not get loyalty points for this stay as i booked on a cheaper site! I did not ask for the points, simply recognition that i am a loyal customer and a welcome back sir?!.. maybe my penalty for changing a date due to an error from me could be waived?? But no not to be. So because of this snotty attitude i refused to book a second stay at this hotel, so booked at the hilton for cheaper and much better quality for three days later and booked at the hilton in venice too. For the remainder of my holiday of two weeks in Italy i refuse to even look at the BW! And will throw away my loyalty card as loyalty is expensive and not even acknowledged. The hotel managers answer is for me to stay there again so they can show me better service. A free night at the hotel will not even make up for this as it is deeply insulting to me and an embarrassment to me in front of my traveling companion. I travel often and only stay on hotels so your loss! Ciao!
