This hotel is perfectly located on a quiet street in central Lund. Our room (203) was large, clean and very quiet. We especially liked the adjustable beds. The staff were excellent and the breakfasts were fantastic. After staying in many other Lund hotels over the years, this is our favorite.
Good location, friendly front desk staff, and a good sized room for the price. Relatively quiet area, too, which was nice as I needed the windows open all night to let cool air in after 23C daytime temperatures.
Great Hotel!!!!!!!! Exceptional service from all the team !!!! We looked for a hotel on Jan 2024 this year and we found Nordic Hotel on Trip Advisor . The Breakfast were great with fresh Fruits and fresh baked bread every morning !! we had such a great time especially with all the team from the reception ladies to the cleaning room ladies!! (the room are very clean and the bathroom was warm(heated flooring) All the Teams was very professional and we will defiantly come back again to stay in this great hotel !!!!!!!! 5 star Hotel by far from all the hotels in Lund very very highly recommended! The Katz Family !!!
I stayed here recently for business and was very happy with my choice. Great location in Lund with a bed and breakfast feel. Friendly staff from start to finish. Decent selections for breakfast with coffee/cappucino etc available anytime. Clean throughout.
Five years later and I am still in love with this hotel! The upkeep is great. The location is perfect. This time I ate the free breakfast every morning. My suggestion would be to have additional variety when it comes to the hot food. It was always scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. I think these breakfast staples are great but what about porridge, pancakes, hard boiled eggs, or french toast, Other than that, I have no complaints. August 2018: Loved this hotel. I stayed in a single room with a sitting area. It was perfect for my stay. I didn't have to spend my devotional time in the bedroom. The kitchen was also perfect. Dishes and utensils were provided. Nice size refrigerator could hold my daily shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables. The refrigerator looked small but it held plenty and the freezer part was big enough for a large bag of ice. Normally that isn't the case with smaller sizes refrigerators. Staff was very helpful. The location is very close to shopping venues and restaurants. The walk to the central station is about 7-10 minutes. But, it never felt like it was a long distance. You could also get a bike and travel around that way. Will definitely stay here again!
We were quite impressed. High standard and just fine location. Rooms with a small kitchenette (at least in our room) clean and with all amenities. Comfy beds. Small balcony. Excellent breakfast. Welcoming and attentive staff. Highly recommended for a couple of nights stay.
Hotel Nordic is in center of Lund, very close to train station. Best part adjuscent to hotel there is a big shopping center COOP. You can buy whatever is needed during your travel. There are lot of restaurents within 10 - 100 meters. Silent inside the room and happening outside. Staff is very friendly and helping. Room rate you may find little on higher side, but location is best - what I like.
We had a great stay here for two nights, staying in a Queen suite. We were situated in the historial part of the hotel, highlighted by the exposed beams in the roof. Lovely! The bed was comfortable, and we slept well. It was also great to be able to open the windows, something that is often not an option in newer spaces. The bathroom was on the tiny side, though easy to navigate. The location of the hotel is wonderful - everything one may wish to visit is within walking distance, a supermarket is just around the corner, and the train station not too far away, either. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The only suggestion I would have is extending the breakfast time by even half an hour. It finishes during the week at 09:30am, which meant that the final 45 mins were exceptionally busy - so much so, it was difficult to find somewhere to sit and navigating the small space with the items required patience to wait for the swarm of guests to dissipate.
We were so happy that we had booked a suite. We were on the top floor with windows in 3 directions (room 500) - so bright and airy. The kitchenette was so practical (didn't expect a dishwasher as well!) and the seating area and lovely comfortable air chairs with footstool. Beds were super comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. The location was excellent (just walked across the car park to the Coop), local restaurants and food hall were 5 mins walk. As was the botanical garden. Just a bit further you were at the cathedral and Kulturen. And the staff were great too! The prefect place to stay. The only gripe I had was the car parking at the back of the hotel was expensive even if you used the app. But it was incredibly practical.
We were not happy with front desk clerks who are not professionals. No eye contact. No small chats and greetings. They were totally unhelpful in getting us connected to wifi that was weak. The good location means you can walk to good pubs.
Nice hotel. Good location especially when not travelling by car. Calm and nice atmosphare . Service in general and breakfast is really good. Really like the Lavazza coffe. Rooms are silent and good beds
Nordic hotel is in center, restaurents, bars shopping centers all are close by, Hotel staff is very helpful. There is so many varieties in breakfast, even for vegetarians. Rooms are very clean and tidy.
This is a well renovated modern hotel in an historical building right in the middle of town, within walking distance of most tourist attractions. The train station, cathedral and the University are within 15 minutes walk. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, We had a double room, with a kitchenette, equipped with a small fridge, microwave, sink, electric kettle and all necessary cutlery and dishes. The room was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fine, with selections of cereals, cold cuts, scrambled eggs and bacon, smoked salmon etc. I would certainly stay here again.
The room was clean and beautifull. My room had a kitchen and was quite. The breakfast is good and various. The location is fantastic to visit Lund. Last but not least the staff is very kind. I m planning to go in Lund again and I"ll book my room at this hotel
It's a nice hotel with kind staff but nothing spectacular. It's nice and centrally placed in Lund which is a big pro! Breakfast is good but again nothing spectacular. The room for 3 was need and clean.
Perfect location in the middle of town and in connection to "Stortorget" in Lund. Nice facilities, good service... only 50 rooms... nearly like a private resident. Parking in connection to the hotel, more or less door to door... but, be aware about SEK 190 per night... probably the drill all over the town.
We stayed at 3 days at Hotell Nordic Link which is situated in Lund's centre really close to Mårtenstorget and many other attractions are all within easy walking distance. What is a HUGE plus is that parking is available directly behind the hotel which has direct access (on the second floor) and an elevator. It cost 190 kr for 24 hours. Helpful and efficient staff. Our room had a little balcony, a mini kitchen with fridge and micro, it was clean, quiet and had very comfortable beds. The room had both blackout curtains and AC. The bathroom was a good size and had all the usual amenities. I think it needs a little shelf near the mirror for toilet bag, make-up etc. There is complementary Pod-coffee, tea and WiFi. However, there was no kitchen hand-towel/tea-towel. What we found problematic was the small breakfast area, there were queues and crowded in the narrow dining area. Considering we are in a Covid epidemic this really needs to be addressed. We tried eating breakfast after 9:10 to avoid queues but it made no difference. We ate outside but it was still very crowded getting the actual food. The cleaning staff were not wearing disposable gloves or using hand sanitizer often, I never saw any staff member do this. Why clean a room every day when there is a risk for infection? I have stayed at Nordic Lund before and I would stay here again, because I love the location but I would skip breakfast until this Covid epidemic is over.
One of my best stays at any hotel.the location of this hotel could not have been better. It really is ideally located. Several restaurants right outside the main door. A large grocery store 30 seconds away that sells everything. Many bars within a 5 minute walk. A rear car park with ATM's in place. Then for the people that like to party a food takeaway that stays open till 4 am on a weekend. The town it's self is so beautiful with tons to do and see. The university buildings are just stunning and the several parks (one with an open-air cinema) are a pleasure to walk around. I stayed at the hotel for 4 weeks and reall did not want to leave.
Comfortable room and beds. A fully equipped kitchen is perfect for prolonged stay or when I do not want to eat out. A foodstore is located 2 min walk away and the location is in the very city center old town with lots of restaurants. Easy parking just behind the hotel. Strong wifi (free) makes it easy to work. Excellent breakfast with Swedens best scrambled eggs. I always stay here when I am in the area.
Very nice Hotel in the heart of a lovely (historical) city Lund. I stayed here for a couple of months for job. Room are clean and nice, with very useful kitchenette if you wanto to cook something (Coop store is also close to the Hotel). There is a small table to eat. Breakfast and breakfast area are perfect: you can find whatever you want, with also a big TV. Staff is always kind and available to help you if you need any kind of information. They even have a laundry room and a small gym room with the essential equipment. Strongly suggested. if I should come back to Lund this will be the first Hotel I will look to stay
Great hotel in the heart of the historic city Lund. The hotel are witin walking distance from museums, cathedral and botanicc garden Lot of restaurants nearby. Nice breakfast.and helpful staff. Cofffee and cake on arrival. Good value
The Hotel is very comfy, the rooms were very nice and big, you have a stove, microwave and all the necessary tools to cook your own food. it is close to lots of good restaurants. the Breakfast is fine and you have everything you need. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to be controlled. I will definitely try it again.
This hotel opened up about 2 years ago. The rooms are nice with modern interior design. The main benefit is the early breakfast starting from 600 (630 officially but coffee, bread and cheese is available from 600). I don't care much for small packages of butter, why not just provide butter where you take as much you want? The ventilation is also quite loud in the breakfast area. A lot of the porslain was chipped. It was nice that I could make the booking by just calling the Hotel, it gives a personal feeling. Scandic has some central booking number where they never answer or call back if you leave your number.
Nordic Lund is at the heart of Lund. Close to anywhere you may possible want to reach by a quick short walk, including supermarket, restaurants, site seeing etc. The hotel was built on a old preserved building, mixing modern with old with very good taste. Staff is receptive and friendly. I received an email explaining the late checking procedure, something that was hassle free and pretty quick. I stayed in an "apart hotel" room (somehow the staff always put in the same one, so cannot tell about the other ones). Cosy, silent, warm when it needs to be. Simple but functional bathroom with shower. The blinds are not "black-out" ones, so if you are easily bothered by clarity when it's time to sleep, bring a blindfold (thats why I classified the sleep quality as average)
The rooms were little, the bathroom. was very unpleasant, not at all what we expect in hotels. However : good location, and the service girls were all very nice and professionnal. Breakfast was just okay.
Delightful small Hotel with a small breakfast area with a TV. Breakfast was all you could wish for in Sweden. The staff were so friendly and of course spoke perfect English. The room we had was spotlessly clean but quite small. This was because it has a kitchenette included so you could, if you wished, save on the price of a restaurant by getting food from the Co Op next door and cooking yourself. (The Co op salad bar was worth going in to see on its own!) It is a flat 15 min walk from the station but at the opposite end of Lund to the University. Close to the large nearby park where we saw red squirrels.
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Nordic Lund Hotel for three days in mid-June. We were thrilled with our room! It was clean and very spacious, with a kitchenette and a pull-out sofa bed. (Initially we had booked the room for three people, but our daughter was unable to accompany us.) We had a separate bedroom, which was nice so that someone could go to sleep earlier and wouldn't be disturbed if someone else stayed up late. The shower was a good size and had great water pressure. The breakfast was amazing! There were so many choices of proteins and different breads, yogurt, fruit, and drinks. The hotel has a lovely courtyard where you can enjoy your breakfast if you prefer to sit outside. The air-conditioner responded to our selected settings and was more than adequate to maintain a comfortable temperature in the room. The room that we were in was called “Christers Rum”, and it was in the older part of the hotel where there were exposed beams in the ceiling. It just was a beautiful historic Swedish hotel! We were mostly impressed with the hospitality when we arrived. The man at the front desk was extremely helpful and gave us information about the trains and offered to contact a taxi for us when we were ready to leave. There were bottles of cold water and chocolates left in our room for us when we arrived. We really wish we could've stayed longer! We will definitely stay here again!
First of all this is not a town, this is the paradise both for landscapes and people. It's a 1800 style small town with beautiful people, always smiling and nice. The Hotel is located in a typical build, rooms are perfect and they include a small kitchen if you happen to cook something. Also a table to eat is available. Services are perfect and people very kind. Price worth's. The one and only shrewdness: be careful to be at reception before 10pm or you must call by phone. It was amazing and everything worked as well: in 5 minutes I found an envelope at the desk, my room in 2 seconds and a very useful internal parking that you can easily pay by easy park.
Cosy and charming place, in an very well located area of the town. Despite de typical "northern winter" you feel a very warm welcome, gentle and professional staff which make sometimes believe you are at home.
Hotell Nordic Lund is our favourite place to stay in Lund. Cost is similar to others nearby, but we find it more comfortable with better service. The breakfast buffet included in the room price is very good. Location is ideal for the centre of Lund. Should we visit Lund again, this will be the first place we look to stay. Highly recommended.
We stayed here for three nights to attend our son's graduation. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room on the top floor was lovely with big windows a nice shower room and a small kitchen. There is an excellent breakfast selection served in a lovely dining area. Tea coffee and snacks are provided free throughout the day. It is in a perfect central position. I'm only sorry I couldn't stay longer.
This hotel does everything right. For a holiday rate of 845 SEK, it is also great value for money. It is a new hotel, which means that the rooms are very clean and attractive. Compared to "old school" swedish bathrooms, where you can see the piping, here everything according to international standard......except maybe the fact that there is no shower tray - but this is the way they do it in Sweden. I had to leave early on a holiday morning and realized that breakfast was ready 45 min before the official opening time. Great!
Excellent hotel: new, fresh, clean, nicely decorated with delicious breakfast. The hotel is centrally located, not overcrowded, the stuff is kind and helpful. I would not wish for more! Impeccable! Thank you for lovely and relaxing stay.
I spent three nights in Hotel Nordic Lund and everything was very nice. Exspecially I have appreciated the breakfast and the kindness of the staff. The hotel is really confortable and near downtown. My room was clean and enough large, with soft and big beds.
I went with my friends from work for a visit to the hospital and had already booked another hotel. We then decided to choose this hotel because of recommendation from another friend and better location. We really liked the location. The staff were really friendly and accomondated to our needs. They even had a toothbrush for me as I forgot mine. The breakfast was really good. The rooms were roomy and the beds were good.
We had a family room for the four of us and it was lovely and large. It consisted of two very clean and pretty rooms with beds in each, a mini kitchen with dining table and a huge bathroom. The staff was friendly and the room included a nice breakfast buffet. The hotel is also in a good location near the center of town. It is about a 15-minute walk from the train station. I would love to come back here.
We had the pleasure of spending a night at this hotel in May, and had chosen it only because of the reviews here on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed at all. Check-in was swift and the staff very welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean, even featuring a kitchenette. Breakfast was really good, and the breakfast room was amazing and partly in a glass covered area between two buildings The location is absolutely central for exploring the City centre, and close to many eateries and bars. As this was our first visit to Lund, and we were on our way to the island of Bornholm, we couldn't stay any longer, but we will be back - and know where we are staying: This hotel is really value for money!
A cancelled booking of a hotel left me without accomodation in Lund late one Sunday night in January 2019. As I was going to stay for a week dur to work I needed a good place to stay at. Close to the hotel I should have stayed at was this hotel. I was lucky to arrive just an hour before the recption closed for the night and that was one room I could stay in for 5 consecutive nights, a family room more like a suite. Not the cheapest but it was excellent for me. The hotel is situated quite close to Mårtenstorg and Stora Torget. The Cathedral is just 5 minutes walk away and the railway station is only 10 minutes walk away. It is just opened and is in a rebuilt old house. 3 floors, and my room was at the ground floor. The reception is open between 6.30 am and 10.00 pm. They serve a delicious breakfast including bacon, sausage and scambeled eggs, a variety of vegetables and fruits, nice bread, tea, coffee and juices in a quite large breakfast room close to the reception. The family room consists of two rooms and a large bathroom. The space is very good. Nice beds. The livingroom contains also a small kitchen with an electric stove, fridge and a dish washer. Added to that plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. The price is around SEK 1500 per night. The single rooms are much cheaper, they cost around SEK 900 per night. You will not be disturbed by the traffic at night. There is just one way traffic. The reception staff is very nice and helpful. The only negative thing is that the reception is not manned from 10 pm to 6.30 am. I do recommend this hotel!
Very central location. Very convenient parking behind hotel. Staff friendly and available. Trouble-free check-in and -out. Rooms nice, modern, quite and clean. Wifi works fine. Nice and practical with small kitchen in hotel room. Breakfast good, restaurant a bit crowded in peak hours. Restaurants close by, book in advance as they are very busy. Supermarket around the corner open until 11 pm. Advice for hotel management: Change the furniture in the lobby, it is out of date and does not at all reflect the quality and style of your nice hotel, maybe it even scares guests away as it has a quite prominent place in the photos on different booking sites.
Managed to book a junior suite for this work trip, which was in the old part of the building with really interesting beams and other features. Bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Room well appointed, with everything we needed. Staff always welcoming and friendly, and breakfast amazing. It's the perfect place for us to stay when we're working at the university. Absolutely recommended!
We enjoyed staying in this hotel. Great location in the centre of Lund, cosy room and comfortable bed, good breakfast and friendly staff. Nice surprise was that coffee, tea and cookies were freely available downstairs when we arrived in the evening. The only minus was the air conditioning in the bathroom - our fifth floor room was a little bit damp after the shower.
I stayed for one night at the Nordic Lund hotel. The hotel managers were extremely warm and attentive. The room was comfortable, without luxuries but with all the necessary amenities for having a good stay. Breakfast was quite rich.
The hotel is clean and the staff was polite and helpful. The room was big and the bed very comfortable. Something was buzzing un my room though. Breakfast was delicious and served in a very nice decor.
The best hotel I've stayed in in Europe. Decor is modern mixed with antique pieces, and the hotel is only a few years old. Hotel is medium sized but has a cozy feel. Great location near the train station, main plaza, and university with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast included in stay, towels are extra large and showers have plenty of hot water. Would definitely stay here again!
An average hotel. The Hotel is situated in several small older buildings that are joined together. This gives som amv biance that is different from a typical modern hotel. However this also means that there are differences between the rooms. I personally slept in a room in the ground floor facing the street. Even though there is very little motorrised trafic I could not have the windows open at night, because it felt like passing pedestrians were talking right next to my pillow. Breakfast was good, varied and plenty. Staff were helpfull. Would I sleep there again? - Yes, but not on the ground floor facing the street.
Everything at the Hotell Nordic was lovely. Breakfast was large including hot items- eggs, sausages- plus the usual cold cuts, cheese, breads, and espresso machine for much better morning coffee than usual! Big room with kitchenette, friendly and helpful staff, and right in city centre.
Hotell Nordic Link is situated in Lund's centre really close to Mårtenstorget and many other attractions are all within easy walking distance. What is a HUGE plus is that paking is available directly behind the hotel which has direct access (on the second floor) and an elevator. It cost 190 kr for 24 hours. Helpful and efficient staff. Our room had a little balcony, a mini kitchen with fridge and micro, it was clean, quiet and had very comfortable beds. It also should be noted that the room had both blackout curtains and AC which is a huge bonus considering the very warn summer this year. The bathroom was a good size and had all the usual amenities. The only minus here is that I think the lighting over the mirror could be better and a towel rail is needed to make room for toilet bags. A really nice touch with complementary coffee/tea, bottled water and WiFi. Despite the small breakfast area, everything ran very smoothly. Breakfast had a surprisingly good variety and looked well presented and fresh. The breakfast staff were very efficient and replenished quickly which meant there were no queues which can often be the case in other hotels on a Sunday morning.I will definitely be back next time we are in Lund.
We were going to the student carnival (every fourth year) and there wasn't that many places to choose from – the prices were high, especially here. They must have raised the price considerably for this weekend, which is a pity. The hotel was good, service as well, the room comfortable with breakfast OK. Still you left a little bit disappointed because of the price.
We enjoyed our stay. The staff are very helpful especially the lady at breakfast who checked ingredients regarding a nut allergy. The breakfast spread was good. There is free tea and coffee available all day. Our room even came with a kitchenette. An easy stroll to the centre.
I've been several times now, definitely a good place to stay when traveling in lund. Close to the very centre which is nice and full of restaurants. The personnel is very helpful. Recommended. I'll be back.
Perfectly situated hotel , bikes to lend for 50 kr nice rooms with coffeemachines and small kitchen. Friendly sweet . staff , very serviceminded. Good breakfast with variation, unfortunately was coffeemachine out of service. Balcony was perfect on a sunnt afternoon.
This hotel is in an old building in the middle of Lund. Nice atmosphere, nice interior, friendly and helpful staff. The room was large with kitchen facility (micro, sink, stove etc.). Excellent breakfast. Parking at the back of the hotel. En excellent choice when staying in Lund.
I spent a night at this hotel one week ago. A very nice hotel in citycenter, welcoming helpful and realy professional staaf and a warm and friendly looking lobby. The room was very nice and of course very clean. Over all a good experience and good value for Money. The reception was closed at night time but the info. for to handle that was very clear.
Georgeus breakfast, comfortable, tidy, well equiped rooms, excellent location. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast included a wide variety of local and international food, including some really amazing seafood dishes. The small kitchen in the room makes your life relly easier during your stay. Bus station is in 5, railway station is 15 minutes walk, every part of the city or a trip to Malmö or Koppenhagen is reachable easily.
The personnel were very accomodating and nice. Apples offered at the reception area. The family suite was large but cosy and had all the conveniences we needed. The kitchen was complete for our needs and coffee and tea sachets were provided. Ample toiletries in a big bathroom with fluffy towels. We ate our homemade dinner at the same time as the restaurant visitors ate their candlelight dinners on the popular, plush eating street with a full view from our room. The beds were very comfortable with a lot of pilows. Lounge chairs were also provided aside from dining chairs, The room was on the 2nd floor with own exit to the roof parking and same floor as the gym. Parking costs a lot in Lund centrum. Even our hotel parking costed 190 SEK per 24 hours. The gym was new but had very few equipment. The cold part of breakfast offered a lot of variety and was very good. The warm part was a disappointment. The bacon was rubbery and meatballs needed more frying. The scrambled eggs had a strange bitter taste. However on the whole, it was a very good stay with economically good after- new- year shopping.
Second time for us to stay at Nordic. It was really great again. This cozy hotel has the perfect location for exploring the city of Lund. The service at the hotel is great, and the rooms are wonderful. There's a lot to choose from at the breakfast table so you'll not go out hungry.
This hotel has a quaint feel but modern touches. We stayed in a family room that had a bedroom with two twins pushed together and its own door and right out the door it had a twin bed and a small table and three chairs with a mini kitchen that included a compact dishwasher, sink, two burners, a microwave and a small fridge. The bathroom was a generous size although they have Scandinavian style showers that end up putting water over most of the floor. Luckily the floor is heated so everything dries out rather quickly. The staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast that is included is marvelous as well. You do have to pay for parking but the parking is very convenient to both the hotel and town square as well a having a COOP grocery store connected to the very same parking lot.The beds were very comfortable and the location was convenient to shopping and only a short walk from the train station and going the other direction a fairly short walk to Lund University. We would stay here again in a hearbeat!
We stayed for 3 nights as a family visiting my son in Lund. We had 3 twin rooms which were all very clean and had everything that you could possibly need when staying in a hotel. The breakfast was simple but there was enough choice for us all. The coffee machine that was always available was also much appreciated when returning to the hotel after a long day. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. If we are visiting Lund again we will definitely stay here.
There are kitchens with microwave in each room so you can fix your own food. Friendly staff. There is free coffe in the restaurant 24/7. Umbrellas are avalible to lend in the lobby. Breakfast is good. Washing machine and gym is available to use. The kitchen part in the room could have been a bit cleaner.
Let's start with the location, which is fantastic - very central, but quiet and with adjacent (though quite expensive) parking. It's a group of old buildings that have been combined to form a small hotel - all very Scandinavian in style. I've stayed three times; twice overlooking the car park (which is very quiet in the evening) and now on the street - which concerned me for possible noise, but all was fine. The windows are triple glazed and the street attracts little or no traffic in the evening. Reception staff vary from good to great - one particular person was exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially when I arrived the first time. Housekeeping seems efficient - no quibbles so far. Rooms are furnished and equipped very much in a "house style" of neutral shades, each with a small kitchenette which has basic equipment. Beds are comfortable, though blackout arrangements are not great (I write as someone who likes a Very Dark Room at night). Shower rooms are tiled, spotlessly clean and have good showers. Breakfast is fairly minimalistic, but of good quality. My only gripe is that the claim to offer a choice of double or twin rooms and I have always requested - through my booking website - a double bed, yet have always been given a twin.
Excellent service great locaton breakfast is great. Rooms are very clean. Only disappointing feature no drawers in the room...we could not unpack our cases as we had no ware to put our clothes...as we where there for six days
Well situated, super renovated building, apartment-like rooms, quiet at night!. Nice breakfast! Staff friendly! Only minus : parking in Lund is difficult, costs a lot. We were there on a rare summer day in 2017! Fantastic opportunities in the region, in summer go to Lomma!
We had an amazing stay at this small hotel in the middle of the city. We were surprised to learn once we arrived that for the price, our room was also going to include a sofa bed and a small kitchenette. It was almost like renting a newly renovated and modern apartment. They even have a laundry room, which was unfortunately out of order during our stay. You can also rent bikes for a small fee and use them to tour the easily bikeable town. For dinner we went to a place called M.E.A.T. and it was unbeatable. One of the best burgers I have ever had in my life, paired with a collection of rare bourbon that you'd be hard pressed to find in most US bars. The next morning we were also delighted to find that the breakfast was very good.
I spent two nights with my pregnant wife at this hotel in the second part of July 2017. Since this was our last trip before welcoming our first child into our family we wanted to have a great experience. The reviews of the hotel we read seemed great, so we booked online a double room for two nights (using the hotel's own website). Few hours later, at our late checkin (around 6 PM) we found out that there was a problem with the booking system and there was no double room available for the first night. The offered us instead 2 single rooms (on separate floors) and an upgrade to a superior room for the second night, as a compensation. Since we were tired and it was pretty late we decided to accept this, even if it was far from optimal (you do want to be close to your pregnant wife in case of emergency, since there was not much time left before the planned baby delivery). Another annoying thing was that we had to plan our next day considering that we have to pack our bags, check out from the 2 single rooms and check in again to the double room. A lot of time wasted because of a malfunctioned booking system. On the bright side, the rooms were clean and fresh and the beds were cosy. The location is great (in the center of Lund, close to some interesting restauran and all the tourist attractions). The parking place was really close to the hotel (it had a dedicated door to the second floor of the hotel, by the elevator), but it was quite expensive (175 sek / day). The breakfast was pretty tasteful (even if there was quite a lack of imagination in creating the menu). It is served before 10:30, but there is a risk that some of the products are no longer available at 10:00. The Lund town is charming (check out Kulturen!) and it has some other great places around (no more than 1 hour driving distance). We had bad weather, but there are things to do even when it's raining. Too bad that our visit was affected by the booking problem (and the compensation we got: 1 night upgrade to a superior room and 2 bottles of sparkling water) was not in line with what better hotels offer in case they make a mistake. Besides that the staff was helpful, we got at least a place to sleep on the first night and the extra pillows we requested. I can surely recommend the hotel to other visitors, but they should check first if the reservation is fine (I must say that they tried to contact me by phone 30 min-1 hour before my arrival, when they discovered the problem, but my phone was in my suitcase at the time). I also suggested the staff to add information cards about the products available on the breakfast buffet, now it is a guessing game, and they promised to fix this as soon as possible.
