"Terrible room, terrible diningroom"

Our room was filthy, drapes hanging on few hooks, afraid they could fall on the floor. Bed cover had tears and holes. Bathrooms looks like something from a construction site. Never again will we stay in such a mess.

Se arrived in the night and the staff help us to fine a dinner in a no t easy situation. The place is lovely. I don t give 5 star due to the not high level clean of the room. A special Tanja to the Young receptionist girl that helped us.

stayed here as we were attending a party here so it was convenient. Staff were friendly and the location is nice with the river however Our room was not good, bath stained, toilet seat stained, The mattress on the bed was absolutely awful it was lumpy and sank in the middle, it definitely needed a new mattress and a bigger bed, it was probably the smallest bed we have ever slept in at a hotel.. talking of hotels it was more like a motel only it was way over priced for what little comforts you got, i did not sleep at all that night. breakfast at £10 each extra was not worthy of £10 more like £4, it was buffet style and not good, for £10 i expect a choice of eggs not just scrambled powder eggs, i expect someone to bring us toast not make it ourselves, we even had to make our own drinks from a machine... will NOT be staying here ever again.

"Birthday Bash"

This was a joint birthday party with band involving over 100 guests included drinks and a buffet together with some accommodation. From the start to the end this event went perfectly and this was due to the pre planning undertaken throughout by Rachel the Event Coordinator. Staff on the day were excellent. The accommodation was again very good and we were given a reduced rate which included breakfast which again was very good. Several of our guests will use this hotel again when travelling in the area. Well done Team Watermill

Staff were very helpful very polite When we arrived we were allocated a disabled room we did not request a diabled room and we had paid for a double executive room. After speaking to reception they moved us to a double executive room what we had requested when we booked. As we were going to a wedding in the evening in a hotel down the road we were expecting to have lunch at the hotel and sit on the outside part of the hotel where the mill is it is like a decking this was not possible as there was a wedding in the marquee at the property but the decking where people staying at the hotel should have been able to sit was taken up by the wedding guests coming through being offered a drink We ended up haveing lunch at the local pub and going back to our room until it was time to leave for the wedding we were going a short way away Breakfast included in the price we were asked if we wanted full English we had no idea what included and were not asked if we wanted scrambled poached fried eggs a small menu on the table shiwing what is included would assist Could be a good hotel but surely paying guests should not be an after thought

"Two nights away"

So I checked into the hotel around 10pm and was greeted by the very personable Maria, a lovely manner and very helpful. I stay in many many hotels and never write reviews but just the way this lovely lady checked me in and showed me the direction of the room and her very pleasant but professional approach made me want to write this. The hotel is ok and “safe” for a short stay - does need some money spending on it but the room I stayed in was fine. Message to management: Give Maria a raise, she is a credit to your business!
