Best Western Plus Heritage Inn

I was surprised how nice this place was. I saw that it had quite a few positive reviews and we were not disappointed in any way. Very spacious and clean. Comfy bed. Nice pool and spa. A surprisingly good breakfast that was much better than most places in their price range. Will stay again.

Another working trip to an otherwise un-visited area for me. The hotel was great... Clean and Quiet and all amenities were top notch. The area is very upper class and friendly. I will recommend this Hotel for anyone traveling thru the North Bay area.

Upon checking in, we got greeted with a warm welcoming smile by John V & Charles. They both prepared the room for us. The bed & pillows were very comfy & as a result we had a restful sleep that recharged us for the next day. The breakfast was delicious with waffles, sausages & eggs. We only wished that there was bacon too but nevertheless, the service rendered by Teresa & Lina were top notch. Overall, the hotel was pretty clean & the staff were all friendly & accommodating. We would recommend this hotel if you're in the Benicia vicinity. Thank you for all the staff especially, John V, Charles, Teresa & Lina who made our stay even more pleasurable.

They have a great staff very friendly and inviting it is located in a great area close, and easy access to the freeway. Overall, the establishment is very clean and welcoming. room are prices a little on the high side

Found this hotel when I was in the area delivering a load that didn't offload for a couple days. They allowed me to park in the hotel parking lot. The stay was excellent. Friendly staff at check-in, clean room, hot breakfast, everything worked on the room, and it was pretty quiet. I'll definitely be back.

Upon arrival we were greeted by staff. Lobby area is clean and fresh. The room was clean and roomy. When we asked for a shower chair it was brought immediately. Breakfast was very good (sausage, eggs, potatoes, toast, cereal and much more). A great place to relax and enjoy the quiet.

Went to the Benicia BW for our Wedding Anniversary. When asked the reason for our stay they upgraded us to a Suite. Nice big room overlooking the poo with a BIG bed. That was a nice thing for them to do for us! :)

We really enjoy staying at this hotel when we are in the area. It is always clean and the room is well stocked with linens and supplies. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. It was great to have hot breakfast back!

On a recent visit to celebrate my sister's birthday, my husband and I decided to stay at Best Western Heritage in Benicia. We have stayed here many times before in years past, so it was not only convenient, but also reliably clean.

The evening receptionist was rude along with the old man maintenance man. She gave us a room without towels or soap. When we told her she and the old man didn't believe us. But she moved us to another room. The new room also had a set of towels for one person. We were tired we didn't want to complain anymore so husband and I shared a towels that evening. The next day in the evening a housekeeper was sent with towels for 4 people. It was almost like, “why didn't you ask about towel”. Worst of all, cigarettes smoke from hallway was permeating into our room. Upon the departure the same lady who checked us in was there. She processed our statement. I asked her if the $50 was added to the bill, she said it was all there. I pleasantly asked what she meant, she said the money was there. Fourth time I asked what she meant then she said, oh it will be released back to the card in 3-5 business days. The evening to morning lady had a privileged attitude and projected it very well especially when I asked for the manager's contact information. She really didn't care. It seems they is a family hotel so, why would one care.

The lobby was clean and air conditioned. Sign in was quick and easy and my extra request for a pillow was taken care of immediately. The room comfortable and clean. Breakfast bag was very good, We choose the peanut butter and jelly sandwich's, apple juice. We also chose fresh fruit, muffin and snack bar.

We had a nice little stay leading up to 4th of July. I would have been more satisfied except that it was priced a bit high (I paid less to stay at The W in San Francisco for Saturday/Sunday(July4th) than I did to stay here Thursday/Friday). Rooms could use some updating but things were clean, the staff were very friendly and we slept soundly. Pool area was nice for this warm summer.

Was a nice motel, restarting breakfast was nice. Needs to have more than one USB station. As with all Best Westerns, eliminating maid service is disappointing, but a housekeeper did come by in the evenings to inquire about needing towels, toiletries, etc.

Everything was cool , we got everything we needed , we weren't bothered or anything . And check out was easy . The rooms were cleaned upon request and the outside setting was very nice , anytime I needed towels or anything they brought it right to me . Parking was great , pool was great , and the staff was great . The whole stay was fantastic.

We were in town for a family gathering over a weekend to celebrate a graduation. Our family had four rooms at the hotel for two nights each. We found the rooms to be very clean and everything in working condition. The chairs were both dining room type chairs whereas most hotels have at least one living room chair for comfort. The beds were comfortable and the A/C systems worked very well. The best aspect of our whole stay was us all meeting Kathie who oversees the breakfast area in the morning. She is a ray of sunshine with a warm, friendly personality. She had everything ready and was willing to help us. We all spent a few minutes talking with her when she was free. This made the hotel seem a great place to be each morning. It was a delight to see her smiling face and upbeat greeting in the morning. She is a true asset to this hotel!

This is the best place to stay, it is clean, great atmosphere and the employees are always accomadating. Very comfortable, the showers are great. Can't wait for COVID to end so they can open up the pool.

I hate that I always forget to look at her name tag - but she is PHENOMENAL. She checked me in on my birthday and sang to me, and I was excited when I seen her again. She provided an upgrade to the room I stayed in last time, and I had a great conversation with her before I went to my room. Haven't met too many of the other staff members but I appreciated how kind the lady was at check out the next morning. She provided well wishes before I left and I didn't even stop at the front desk. Overall, I'll continue to visit! My boyfriend works about 10 minutes away in Corte Madera and we both love staying there!

I was pleasantly surprised by the charming decor and spacious room at the Best Western Plus Heritage Inn in Benecia, CA. I had a large room with very nice amenities including a very cool, modern bathroom and an ultra comfy bed. They provide a wide range of breakfast options in a bright and cheery space. This hotel has become my new go-to for travel to the region.

Check in with Asia simply outstanding. Staff is friendly and pays attention to detail, especially in keeping property clean and inviting. Dining area very well staffed with fantastic personnel who again pay attention to detail, making for a very enjoyable guest experience.

I somehow got upgraded to a suite and all I can say is this room was better than my room in Universal Studios last year! Big, ROOMY, a kitchenette and a large living area! I was able to stay comfortably and even exercise in my room every morning with my exercise app in my phone. Thanks again!!!!!

The hotel is located to freeway and easy access. But it is very quite for sleeping. The front desk staff are very friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. And the breakfast is quite enough. It is a good choice in Benecia.

Whenever we are in the Benicia area, we make a point to stay at Best Western Heritage Inn. It is easily reached, since it is very close to the 780 freeway. Breakfast is included in the price of a night's stay.

Nothing spectacular - nothing wrong - with our stay. So that should be a good thing - but I saw nothing to cause me to give it a 5. There are not many options in the area. More than a walk to the area restaurants

I often find things t nitpick to death about hotel rooms etc, NO nitpicks here it wa a solid 10 for me this time around and much appreciated. The TV system was the best I have encountered in years of travel. ON a review for the hotel i mentioned i spent 51 nights a year in "hotels" but only 3 at best westerns. WHat I didn't have room to say was the I mostly travel by RV so those 51 nights a year are mostly in my RV and when i drop out of that for a proper clean up I look for a best western.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The front desk, Darlene, was very helpful. She was able to meet our specific needs. Our daughter stayed there for her pre-wedding preparation. The staff was very accommodating and supported her needs. As a result, they helped minimize the stress of a possibly hectic day. Thank you.

The hotel is one of the nicest Best Westerns we have stayed at. Reminded of us of the Best Westerns we use to stay in years ago with a modern upgrade. The staff were welcoming and friendly while still being business like and efficient. The grounds are well maintained and the pool and hot tub were clean.

Very nice Best Western. Rooms have been refreshed, are spacious, clean, and quiet. Employees are friendly and helpful, it was a good experience top to bottom. There are plenty of places to stay, this is a hotel I will return to when in the Benicia area.

Friendly staff. Big clean room. Impressive breakfast. SUPER noisy … walking down the hallway you can hear everything happening & I mean everything! A lot of employee chatter in the hallways (why?). Standard definition television (really??). WiFi seemed to work well (surprising). I'd stay again, but ask for a room as far away from the front desk area as possible.

We were undertaking an extensive tour around Northwestern States of American. Flying into San Francisco we found that city centre hotels were pricey, particularly if factoring in car parking, so we sought alternatives. This hotel was only 10 minutes away from the Vallejo ferry into downtown SF but had the advantages of price and quietness. Incidentally our car hire company wanted something in the region of £250 + for a sat nav for our 17 day stay but we relied on a downloaded offline google map on our iPad which worked superbly well. Nice clean mid price hotel. We were well received by the member of staff on reception when we arrived. Our room was large with two double beds. The place was exceptionally clean with a pleasant odourless bathroom, decent shower, everything was as we hoped. A satisfactory hot breakfast was included in the price. We chose it because the ferry into downtown San Francisco was only some 10 minutes away, and yet here in the upper Bay Area things are more quiet and relaxed. Benicia is a pleasant, scenic little town with everything you need close by.

Our stay was our first in the Benicia area. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the room was as expected....clean and with nice furnishings. Breakfast was better than the usual; eggs, breakfast meats,varied bread options, and additional choices provided a full meal that was warm and fresh. The charming historical downtown of Benicia was minutes away. Will definitely stay again!

This is within close proximity to I780 and Benicia. Service is OK, good & hot breakfast though it can get crowded. Our only complaint is the AC wasn't working in one of our rooms and Housekeeping didn't report it; and my mother-in-law whom was staying in it didn't want to say anything (I only realized she had been sleeping in the hot and humid room on our final night). The beds are just ok but the linens were very coarse and uncomfortable in our opinion. The pillows were also uncomfortable (IMO). Overall, a clean and nice hotel but we rate our hotels on quality of sleep where it fell short over 5 nights.

For a quiet spot in the middle of nowhere. This place was awesome, from the Clerks to housemaids the staff was incredible. I was am always happy every time I stay here. It's a quiet spot away from the busy city. And there a lot of places to eat about 2 miles down the road. Cons: WiFi SUCKS enough said!

This is a lovely property in the beautiful little town of Benicia. It's a good place to stay to be near the San Francisco Bay Area, yet avoids all the traffic and craziness. It's quiet, clean and comfortable with very friendly desk staff. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

They room was pretty open and comfortable. I really like how it's right above the hill near a gas station. The lobby was pretty open and welcome. The staffs were nice and made sure the check in went smoothly.

Friendly staff on reception very helpful and smiling. Answered all our questions. Our room was clean and we asked for a quiet room and they made sure that was what we received. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.

Great location, love the remodel. We always stay there best staff great breakfast . The rooms are very comfortable nice decor, unfortunately it gave my wife some ideas about remodeling our living room. Going shopping when we get back home.

I've never encountered a problem with the service, and everyone is very helpful whenever you have an issue with anything. The free breakfast is always a plus, and they are open at very reasonable times

We stayed here for two nights. Check in and check out were a breeze and the staff were very efficient and very pleasant. Our room was large and well appointed and very clean. There were renovations ongoing and the staff positioned our room in order to avoid any inconvenience and noise. We hope to stay here again next year while we explore San Francisco again. Highly recommend this property.

This hotel is modern and beautifully decorated. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast selection was excellent. The outdoor pool and hot tub however was too cold to swim.

Front desk does not work. I arrived for my check in and the front desk asked my surname twice. She told me I had no reservation. I was with the Best Western reservation in my hand, I showed her, and she confirmed I had not. Well I explained to her my credit card was already used by the hotel to secure the reservation. After 15 minutes she found my reservation. I asked for the high floor in my reservation, she put me on the first floor. Clean hotel with very clean rooms. Housekeeping staff very good. Basic breakfast nothing special per daily charge

The reservation system selected this hotel due to its vicinity to my work and in the limits of per diem. Hotel was currently under renovations and it should have been noted on their website. I had a room reserved that had a king size bed but the clerk gave me two twin beds. Asked for an upgrade due to my length of stay time but got no response.

Always a nice pleasant experience at the Heritage Inn. The location is excellent, remodeled rooms tasteful, and staff is very friendly and helpful. Love to walk to downtown Benicia for dinner and for morning coffee.

This is a great hotel if you're visiting Benicia or Vallejo. The rooms are nice, beds comfortable and the staff has always been accommodating when we've stayed there. The breakfast is typical for Best Western but we usually eat out anyway.

This particular hotel I've stay in too many times to count I come back time and time again because the staff is very friendly and the over all stay is comfortable the bed the quietness plus they usually dont mind a late checkout as long as Darlene isn't working. Just kidding Darlene is friendly and considerate too.

This is the cleanest Best Western ever. Being that my husband was sick when we got here, and with his leukemia, cleanliness is always important. The desk staff, especially Darlene, was so helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this hotel because of its location to the water - great restaurants near by - and also close to San Francisco. Benicia is a quaint location on its own. The breakfasts, which are included, are very good. A lot to choose from and the girls taking care of the breakfast area are very friendly and always make sure they restock and items that are getting low. With refrigerators and microwaves in every room you certainly won't starve.

The staff know me as a regular here. They are very friendly and usually let me view the room before Iso I can decide if i like it or not. Overall well kept recently remodeled fresh paint lots of trees and a close by 711 convenient. Would recommend to any future customers

We chose to stay at this accommodation for three reasons: (1) the BW brand name; (2) the location near the 80 & 680 freeways on the NE corner of the SF Bay Area; and (3) it's dog- friendly policy. As expected, the room was very well-appointed, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast offered was excellent and satisfying. All staff members were pleasant and courteous. In short, a superbly run establishment that doesn't cut corners.

We arrived at this hotel close to midnight after long international flight and caught heavy traffic due to road accident. Bill, the front desk man facilitated our room quickly for us to rest for the night. Parking was no problem. Elevator going to our 2nd floor room facing the parking. Stayed for 2 nights here as our base to go to Lake Tahoe and Napa Valley and Benicia's Thursday Farmers Market. Our room is very clean, comfy bed and pillows. Fresh smelling. No issues on the bathroom. Breakfast was okay to good. We checked out 4am to catch early flight and no problem.

We had a long day of traveling and sight seeing. Went to are rooms and then went down to the Heritage Inn wine and cheese hour. Good wine and cheese nice company, excellent hostess. Nice way to end the day.

The management and ownership of this property have been unresponsive when we have brought maintenance and safety concerns to their attention. I would be very hesitant to stay at this property. If ownership and management are this difficult to deal with in regards to to maintenance, I can't imagine how they treat their guests.

Extremely satisfied with the location, cleanliness, staff, services, room, especially the bathroom in the hallway (very clean). The first hotel I've stayed that has a bathroom in the hallway. Would highly recommend to friends and relatives.

The staff was very friendly. Even housekeeping always greeted me with a hello or a cheery good morning. The premises was always clean, lots of choices for (hot or cold) breakfast and comfortable beds. The pillows were too fluffy and firm for me. Woke up with a sore neck a few times but I didn't ask if they had any different ones available. Overall I was extremely satisfied and I hope when it's time to go back to work in the area that my company has me at this Best Western location again.

Very good and will stay here again, the location is ideal, and convenient, for those visited the Oakland, Vallejo, Sacramento area. Also the Bay area of northern California. Close to 6 FLAGS AMUSEMENT RIDES AND PARK.

Just twenty minutes from Napa but without the Napa hotel prices! 24 hour convenience store next door and Starbucks nearby in shopping area! Morning breakfast was above average with friendly staff. Will definitely comeback!

Nice Hotel, asked to be close to elevator next time, or choice a room outside the 3rd floor, so you get a nice breeze coming thru your room. Great people, breakfast was a large selection, don't pay $20.00 for a rollaway very uncomfortable, didn't use it, but didn't get charged either so that was good. Over all I would stay again when in the area.

Stayed twice, one night each. Really nice hotel & staff. First stay felt luxurious. Slept beautifully, room was great for thinking/reading/writing. (Internet good too) Second time I realized sound insulation is minimal in some areas. Got little sleep even though people in other rooms were not being over-loud. In Benicia there are not many hotel choices, this is the best IMO. Just be sure to ask for a QUIET room (and not near the pool in summer, it's open till 10pm!).

One of the best Best Western experiences I've had and it followed on the heels of a disappointing stay at the SureStay Best Western in Reno. Unlike Reno, the Benecia Best Western was immaculately clean, the room was spacious and quiet, and very comfortable.

We enjoyed a few of the friendly welcoming staff members! Ruth the house keeper is such a hard worker and always stopped and made time to say hello to the kids and ask them how their day was or what plans they had. Every day the kids were excited to see her. We stayed 5 days in a double bed room. Bed was a little too firm for my liking. Rooms were clean but a lil cramped. Morning breakfast was served in the lobby because the breakfast room was under construction for upgrades. I believe her name way Lila, Lina, or Layla?? It started with a L. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted and was a pleasure. She helped out with our kids making them waffles and toast. With 4 kids I was very thankful for the help. Overall great service, good food, just a little stiff from the hard bed. Evening snacks were a great way to finish the day. They have those Monday thru Thursday nights for a hour. They had a nacho bar one night, taco bar, hot dogs and chips, and I can't remember what the last night was. They also give free wine and soda with the evening snacks. Good bang for your buck!

Clean rooms but little vending options for late snacks. Fairly close to six flags but traffic coming back to hotel from park was heavy. Nice family friendly environment but breakfast really lacked due to hotel construction. I would stay again.

I have stayed at this hotel 2 separate times (both for 4 days each). Both experiences left me looking forward to my next trip. The staff is fantastic, breakfast and the evening appetizer were both good. A special thank you to Lina (food attendant) for making the experience beyond what could be expected.

I stayed overnight and had a very positive experience, especially considering I had had trouble with my reservation. I had booked through a third party (cancelon.com linked through TripAdvisor.) Even though I had a printed confirmation showing my prepaid reservation, the reservation hadn't been confirmed with Best Western. Heather at the front desk was amazing. She endured multiple calls to a chaotic call center for Cancelon.com. I also spoke with them several times. She assured me that she'd get me a room. I had to make a new reservation and hope that cancelon.com cancels my original booking. The hotel is just off the 780 freeway, but is quiet and a quick trip to central Benicia. I had a very spacious room with a comfortable bed, great shower, plenty of storage, well-placed outlets. I used the fitness room, and got a good workout. I checked out the pool and hot tub, but didn't use either. The hot breakfast was tasty. Internet worked well. I recommend this hotel.

Arrived late morning and was able to check in after a log drive. The room was ready, very clean and reception was very attentive and efficient. The TV and WIFI worked well, although sometimes the WIFI was wavering. Coffee was available in the lobby at any time

Employees were so friendly & helpful, the breakfast was very good. My room, king bed with Jacuzzi tub was perfect. Bed was comfortable.Internet good too. Pool/hot tub was great. Nice retreat. Repeat customer for sure.

good price for a spacious room (we had a king whirlpool room) and breakfast. staff is friendly. conveniently located near the safeway shopping center which has a Starbucks and awesome nation's giant hamburgers. we could sometimes hear people running around above us. be careful about snatch&grab in the Bay Area! we got hit in Japan center in sf. never leave any valuables in your car.

Benicia is centrally located for me when visiting family. Downtown has lots of unique shops / food to stroll around with a waterfront pier. You can visit the local attractions easily due to this location, go and enjoy!

The options for affordable, well-located hotels seem to be kind of few and far between in this area. We decided to give this BW Plus a shot, and we very pleased with the stay. The staff was super friendly, the room quite functional. Wi-fi was solid, as were the other amenities. There's a 7-11 right down the hill, which worked out well for us because we needed to wash and vacuum the car after several days of road tripping. It's also just a couple minutes into town. And, of course, right off the highway. Wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

Location is good, just along the highway. Breakfast was fair for a BW hotel, bed , pillow quality good. The carpet was run down, the smell they use to clean the carpet in the corridor is too strong. We stayed for a night with a whirlpool room. The jet was not clean so there are hair floating in the tub, not worth it, and pretty disgusting. Overall, if I plan a night it is ok.

a bit off the highways but still fairly easy to find, parking is OK but if you have a large vehicle or RV it might be a bit of an issue.. the grounds were very well maintained as were the common areas. My room was large, very clean and neat, a quiet area, safe and within walking distance of the main area of Benicia

The room was comfortable and breakfast was very good. There was a disgruntled guest yelling in the hallway around 3:30am but the staff took care of it fairly fast.The jetted bathtub was a nice place to relax.

Near to everything Benicia has to offer easy walk to downtown, very clean room,, cold fridg, view of the gathering area from our room, in room coffee was good. Breakfast each day was different and nice selection of healthy choices and not so, your choice. Enjoyed the stay very much.

Stayed at this hotel while on a business trip to this lovely town with a quaint main street, nice eateries and charming waterfront. The hotel looked more like a 2-star property from the outside but was very well maintained on the inside with an up-to-date and new appearance despite having a style hinting that the facility was probably built in the 60's. My room was spotless and very well-appointed with no signs of wear, especially the bathroom, which looked like new. The staff that I had contact with were helpful and genuinely friendly. Would highly-recommend this property.

We chose this hotel to stay at after a day at Six Flags. We had been in Southern California Friday and spent the day Saturday at six flags. Needless to say we were pretty tired. The hotel is visually very pretty and clean, the staff at the front desk is pleasant and helpful. There were newspapers available, high-speed Internet, nice pool with hot tub, and a pretty good workout facility. Our problem game at 1:30 in the morning, went to drug in the group of about 20, 20 to 25-year-olds decided to have a drunken party in the hallway right outside our room. I stepped out and spoke to them and they basically got ugly. I called the front desk and about five minutes later a security guard showed up, he was a small man about 60 years old. He spoke to them and left. I heard them say we have to move because the guy in that room complained. Then I heard him yell let's go to room 333, which they did, which was a floor above us. We could still hear them up there, worse yet our daughter her husband his mother and 3 grand kids were in rooms 321 and 323 so they got woken up. I have little tolerance for hotels that don't nip this sort of behavior in the bud, it's certainly ruined our stay. That's why I ranked sleep quality so low.

We came in late on a Thursday night. Got right into our room. Front desk was very helpful. Pop machines are broke but was refunded lost money. Beds were okay. Nothing special. Would stay again for the right price

Hotel was over priced for property. Was a "standard" Best Western, no more, nor less, Which is fine, however, at over $180.00 for the night, just not a good value. Location is good, staff excellent, older property that has been up dated.

I didn't want to type a review but the bed was dirty and sheets some weird stuff on them, other then that everything else was cool, maybe for 100.00 a night but 160.00 was a lot... I could have stayed closer to the amusement park for the same price... I'll proably just find something closer if I'm going to spend the same amount

Nice hotel in a good location for the outer Bay Area. Easy access to San Francisco and the wine country. Great little town of historical Benicia to explore. Spend some time down on the water front and watch the locals catch the large salmon off the breakwater.

Not a good value, the prices were 4 star, but to me the facility wasn't quite 2 star. I arrived a day early and they had rooms left over from the day so they seemed excited that I could check in early. Rather than using the prices listed in my reservation, I was charged $198 for the early night (1 person). The additional night's cost was reduced to $170 after they applied multiple discounts (even with a hotel that wasn't full). I didn't feel this hotel was worth $170. When I complained that I wasn't informed of the higher rate for the additional day, they said it was because that $198 was there normal business rate during the week. I wouldn't mind spending over $540 for 3 nights at a nice location, but I feel this facility and the location didn't match the costs.

Spanish speaking reception server lady was very rude. She smiled and was nice to everyone except us. I noticed she had zero tolerance for black people, they seem to irritate her with every question. Ty

We have stayed here twice to visit our son at college. It is clean, the staff is helpful, and hardworking. We have noticed a lot of his fellow classmates parents stay here too. It's nice to have the staff acknowledge your return.

I had previously stayed in this hotel and I was not disappointed this time around. I have a child in a nearby college and it was important for this to be a successful and cost effective trip. I would recommend this hotel.

Great for Discovery Kingdom , Benicia or anything in the area. Talk to Asia at the front desk and she can point you towards many things to do in the area. The rooms are great and the breakfast can't be beat. It is like our home away from home.

Stayed here for an overnight business trip. Happily, the front desk provides a list of local restaurants, identified the ones that deliver (and had menus!) and 20 minutes later I had dinner delivered to my room. The hotel is older, with free breakfast 6:30-9am. The room was as expected - clean and tidy. My room overlooked the pool which also had a separate hot tub section. I also saw a conference room on my floor. Not knowing anything about Benicia, I randomly selected this hotel. There is a McDonalds a few blocks away and a gas station next door....and it is a mere 100 feet from 680 so it is convenient to get to. Further in town is a Starbucks and Rite Aid.

I love this hotel. It is literally my home away from home. I frequently visit when i need a little rest and relaxation. The front desk & all the staff are the best. They go out of their way to make your comfortable. Im treated like family everytime i stay. Rooms are extra clean; Beds are super comfy. This hotel outshines them all!!

Really was perfect for our needs close to soccer fields and great price for what you get. Staff was really nice. Didn't want to drive back and forth for the soccer weekend. Made my job a little easier.

This was a family trip, and we were able to get adjoining rooms. The rooms were great, the tv and internet worked well. The beds are awesome. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extensive and yummy. My only complaint was the noisy air conditioner in the room.

This is a great hotel for the Benicia area, very reasonably priced, close to town and the freeway. The hotel is in great shape and clean inside and out. The staff is friendly, professional, and provides excellent service. I will be staying here again when business brings me to the area.

staff was exceptionally helpful, room met expectations, reasonable good breakfast items (including hot dishes). Pool was too cold to use, even on very hot summer day, otherwise great experience. Was upgraded to mini suite, enjoyed the jacuzzi tub but found the mini kitchen with two burner stovetop and no counter space or utensils odd. Didn't need it so not a problem for us.

So pleased we found this lovely spot. The staff at our accommodation were wonderful and made suggestions of what to do and where to have dinner. Everyone was so friendly and the restaurant even gave us a brief run down on the history of the place. I suggest if you can make a side trip it is well worth it!

We made a spur of the moment decision to go somewhere close to home to relax a bit, spend the night, and have a dip in a pool and hot tub. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and breakfast was free! The price was very reasonable for the Bay Area, especially for a Saturday night stay. One side of the hotel (and the pool area) faces the 780 freeway, so you may want to ask for a room on the other side. Ours was very quiet. The hotel is close to downtown Benicia, which has a nice main street that ends at the water - Benicia Point. It's also close to the Benicia State Recreation Area.

This hotel has poor rooms, TV had green line in lower part of screen, commode seat was broken and was not fixed, room and hallway had back smell, (maybe the cleaner that they were using). Charged for night that I did not stay.

I stayed at this hotel to MC a wedding in the area. Of course, at the last moment, I realized that left my printed notes at home, so I URGENTLY needed to reprint them. As there we some glitches with the printer at the hotel's business center, Darlene from the front desk went extra miles to help me! She demonstrated outstanding customer service attitude and skills. I'd say she's a role model for the hospitality industry. Thank you, BW, for employing people like Darlene. The overall stay was very pleasant. The breakfast was great, the room was clean and comfortable.

Very good and very clean a overall good experience. The Motel staff was excellent and the rooms were very clean. I have stayed at Best western Plus Motels for several years and this is a very nice place to stay i would recommend this to anyone who needs to stay at a nice and clean motel.

We had to change rooms 3 times during check in. First time, the room had a strong musty smell. The second time, it had a strong smell of Fabreeze (that's when we realized that they gave us a pet friendly room) so we switched room again. They third room was okay. The walls are thin, so thin that we had to call front desk to tell the people next door to turn down their TV. Otherwise, the location is great. Benicia is a nice coastal town and their downtown is historic and pretty. We were only 10 miles from Six Flags and it didn't get hot at all, since they still get the ocean breeze.

We had our little dog with us so had to sign/acknowledge the pet policy which included no pets on the furniture. That's difficult as our dog is allowed on the furniture at home and sleeps on our beds. But the front desk offered us a special pet blanket in a plastic zippered bag which we placed on one of the beds. The dog was able to lay on the bed with the blanket in place! Even though we were some distance from the Carquinez Strait, we had a nice view that included a bit of the Strait. The scrambled eggs at breakfast had red, yellow and green peppers - nice touch!

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a spacious room with a small kitchenette. The room was clean and quiet. There were two luggage racks, shampoo and conditioner and plenty of in-room coffee supplies. Coffee was also available in the hotel lobby. The in-room air conditioner unit was quiet. The hotel has easy access on and off the freeway and fairly close to old downtown Benicia. The breakfast provided a nice variety of both hot and cold items, including bacon and sausage, two waffle sizes and eggs. Fresh fruit was also available.

This hotel is conveniently located to a major highway and easy to reach Oakland Airport, an hour away. The breakfast served had a nice variety and the service was quite good. The front desk staff were most helpful.

I regularly stay at this hotel for business trips. Overall this hotel is a solid choice and generally speaking recommend this hotel. At my most recent stay, I was given a room racing the highway (freeway). There were no other issues except for this point, but because of being next to the highway, I could hear cars and especially trucks zooming by even past midnight, which made it hard to fall asleep. I turned on the air conditioner to blanket the noise, and had a white noise app on my phone to add extra blanketing noise, which ultimately made it possible to sleep. This may not be an issue for you but I am sharing it to help you with your selection process. I will definitely request the non-highway side next stay.

We needed a hotel for 1 night on our drive and chose this place thinking Best Western's are usually pretty good. Wrong! Small rooms, bugs everywhere, ants all over our bathroom, air condition is loud and not strong enough, and no elevator. Won't be back, and don't suggest you stay here unless it is your only option. There is a reason it's $50 cheaper than the other local hotels.

Real nice rooms. I got lucky and got one that had a bubble tub in the room. Excellent after a long day of work... very clean. Good breakfast. I recommend all business travelers to stay here. I got all my paper work done, it was real quiet....I'll stay again soon

The Staff could not have been nicer and really set the tone for my stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There are not a lot of Hotels to choose from in the area so I wasn't expecting much but I was completely and pleasantly surprised with the service and room. The Hotel was clean and in nice condition! I will definitely be returning to this location!

Overall I love this hotel especially compared to the other hotels around this area. However my car did get towed while I was sleeping an it's been very inconvenient for me. Seeing how my car was parked on private property they couldn't have towed it without the hotels consent. Which mean they either called themselves or have the police the ok. This upsets me

We moved from another BW closer to Discovery Kingdom because of the service and the breakfast. I try to stay at BW when possible and my family is glad we made the move. The service at the desk, Asia and Heather were great, and the breakfast even satisfied my 14 year old grandson. If you are going to that area, Vallejo or even Napa, this should be you're hotel.

I checked in on June 13th & stayed on the first floor - paid $184.00 for 1 night & the room was nasty - it smelled so badly of cigarette smoke I slept with a mask on it was gross! The manager came in to spray a wet chemical on the rug but it really didn't help. There were no rooms available to switch to. The next night my friends & I got a different room & still the smell of smoke was just disgusting. Front desk staff was very friendly & claimed they felt bad but that there was nothing they could do. I would never stay at this hotel ever again as it's old, not well cared for, towels were old & didn't appear clean & the smoke smell was horrible - it was as if I had slept in a bar overnight & my clothes in my suitcase all needed to be re-washed. Bad e patience all around.

This Best western plus hotel is one of the kind; best BW Inn I've checked into; Good service good staff performance; hotels ambience is good; good location from 6 Flags and other nearby restaurants; my family was delighted upon check in; good service at the breakfast area with plenty of breakfast selections

front desk staff ck in/out very friendly and professional. Housekeeping staff was also they took time to greet you as you walked about, making you feel appreciated. The fitness center needs free weights but functional. Room was very clean, bed comfortable and in room amenities nice. overall highly recommend hotel. Also, down the road from this place is a thai restaurant that was incredibly delicious. I lived in Thailand and this is great food.

Very caring and helpful staff! They had warm cookies for my husband at check in because he mentioned something about it last visit and they remembered! In this day and age, it is rare to find such a personalized service and such thoughtful staff!

I truly enjoy every stay I have at this hotel. the staff is so friendly and caring. The property is clean and secure. it is very close to great dining and entertainment. The breakfast items are good and the serving staff is great. The evening reception is a great option for those that want to just remain on the property and eat. I highly recommend this hotel. My friends and I chose this hotel as our launchpad for the Bottle Rock festival up in Napa. It's about half an hour (even with traffic) from the fairgrounds. We stayed in a 2 Queen room. The room itself was of a reasonable size. Beds had moderately firm mattresses, no sagging, and were dressed with standard white cotton linens. There is a counter-height mini fridge, microwave, and single-serve coffeepot. Floors were clean. Two luggage racks were provided in the closet space (no doors). The bathroom was a big snug, but still had enough counter space and towel hooks. Water pressure is strong in the shower, and the temperature holds steady. Bath products are from some brand I did not recognize. There is breakfast service that goes until 10:00AM. The breakfast is pretty generous. There is a rotating daily menu of hot food on the buffet, generally including an egg preparation and a meat preparation (bacon, sausage). There are two waffle irons: one for regular-sized waffles, and one for mini waffles. The batter comes in regular and artificial strawberry-flavored. Then there's cereal, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Beverage options include juice, milk, coffee and tea. But you can fancy up your coffee with waffle accoutrements like whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate syrup, etc. Housekeeping must have come very early because we left the room around 10:00AM and removed the DND sign. We returned to find a note on our door telling us housekeeping had stopped by, saw the sign, and did not enter the room. So we were a little disappointed to come back to a messy room, but we're not Guns N Roses, so it wasn't like the room was wrecked. Still, we would have liked for housekeeping to have done a second check later in the day and cleaned the room. Parking is free. Overall, a pleasant stay. As long as they keep low rates, I'll come back for another stay during the next Bottle Rock festival.

Excellent room, quiet, wonderful staff. The evening buffet is excellent and a nice surprise, able to get almost a full meal and take back to the room and relax after a long day. The location is perfect to downtown and access to the freeway.

My sister my service dog and myself came up for the weekend to visit our little sister who was having a baby. We drove 11 hours and initially had a reservation at the John Muir Best Western in Martinez ( we will save that review for another time ugggg) we were informed upon check in our room had a leak and they sent us away we actually accidentally ended up at The Best Western Plus Heritage Inn we walked in the Lobby extremely upset and exhausted. The clerk named Asia was a GODSEND she was an absolute charm! She assured us she would make things better and offered for us to sit and have coffee/tea or water and calm ourselves and meanwhile she was making us feel like we had arrived in a warm welcome place. Asia was handling a elderly gentleman that was also having issues and there was also a upset couple behind us having some problems , I don't know how Asia did it but she handled us all calmly with a smile on her face the entire time! She saw how distraught we were and said to us lets get you in your room and complete the checkin after your settled...which meant the world to us!!!! After she quickly got us in our room we settled in and shortly got a phone call from Asia checking on our needs and she was a complete doll. We could not have found a more competent professional clerk! I could go on and on about how her personal skills are so in tune to make a customer feel welcome and warm. We give Asia FIVE STARS!!!!!!! The next morning we met Kathie in the wonderful breakfast room. She was the sweetest friendliest employee that had that place fully stocked and so clean. She was an absolute lovely lady! I felt as if I was in my own families kitchen with Kathie taking care of our every need and she was smiling the entire time. She told us how much she loved her job and anything we need to simply ask her. We look forward to going back to have breakfast with Kathie again! We also meet Darlene she was great too she listened to our story of a nightmare journey before we arrived and also made us feel more than welcomed at the Heritage Inn.... The Inn has allot of charm but most of all they have THE MOST WONDERFUL STAFF and we plan to come back often because of the way we were treated.

Overall the experience was great excellent customer service very clean place to stay I would definitely recommend it and I will definitely stay here again employees we're very attentive to every thing that we need it

Everytime we come to Benicia we always stay at the Best Western Plus Heritage Inn. It is a great and wonderful place to stay. The rooms are always so wonderful and clean. All of the staff members are all so very nice to talk with. We always have a great stay when we stay with the Best Western Plus Heritage Inn.

I highly recommend Guest to Stay at this hotel. You will not regret it. the entire staff is the best. Hands down this is the place to be if your traveling through or visiting this area. Clean comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good. Many choices for everyone. I was raised in Benicia. I came for a High School reunion and stayed at the Best Western because I have stayed there before and have always enjoyed my stay. The Rooms are great and the breakfast it always wonderful

I reserved a room a month ago, specifically requesting a quiet room for a 4 night stay. Upon check in, I made sure they were giving me a quiet room, as requested. Of course, said the check in girl.. The room was literally on the freeway, with major noise. I called the front desk and asked to be switched to an actual quiet room, but no such luck, as they were "sold out". The girl said they could move me in the morning. Well, bright and early, I get a call from the same girl, at 7:30 am. How are you, she asks. I'm sleeping, I replied. We have a room for you she says. Is it ready now, I ask. No, but it will be ready by 3. Then WHY are you calling me at 7:30 am?? I moved rooms, and the keys never worked in the new room. On the 3rd night, they finally sent someone up to check the lock on the door, which needed to be reprogrammed. Good, I thought. Just one more night to get through. Nope, on the 4th night the keys didn't work AGAIN ( I keep them in the protective sleeve, and not near my phone, etc. I do know how to travel). I walk all the way downstairs to the same girl, who tells me that if these new keys don't work, I will have to wait to 8:30 pm (it's now 7) to get maintenance to look at the lock again. What do I do for the next hour and a half I ask? I am exhausted from working all day. Well, we can move you into a different room. Excuse me? All my stuff in the the room that I can't open. What are you saying??? The beds are comfortable, and the cleaning staff is friendly, otherwise I would have give one star. Management needs to do some serious training of the front desk staff. When I went to check out, same girl tried to charge me $140 for my last night. But I have a confirmation that says $120, I say. After much insistence and confusion, she agrees that I should be charged $120. Just added insult to injury. Benicia is a kinda cute town, OK food. I was here for a wonderful art workshop - lots of artists live here. But I will certainly never stay at this Best Western again. Too bad, because other Best Westerns I've stayed at have been quite nice.

My family and I were on a short distance stay-cation in Vallejo. We have stayed in a lot of Best Westerns and decided to give this location a try. This location is like most Best Western hotels we have seen. The outside was nicely maintained but was nothing fancy. We got two rooms on the third floor roughly near the middle. The room was normal hotel room size with a small desk and small round table. Two double beds. Small fridge. One sink bath. The highlights were the wifi and breakfast. The wifi signal was strong until roughly 8 PM at night when I bet most people were trying to use it. The breakfast was clean, in a large room, and change daily. That was nice. I only had two complaints. First was the parking. Near the rooms there was not a ton of parking. Luckily the place was not that full when we stayed. My last complaint is kind of strange. We have stayed at three Best Western PLUS hotels in the past. In all of these PLUS hotels the room was much larger and typically there are at least 2 sinks in a larger bath. As I mentioned about the room was "normal"...nothing PLUS about it. The hotel location is great. Close to Vallejo and downtown Benicia which turned out to be quite nice. :)

We came to CA for a funeral and the whole staff made this trip wonderful. Amanda, Asia and Stephanie at the front desk, Lina and Kathie at breakfast and Marta in housekeeping really helped make this a great trip!

I was planning a weekend trip to take the kids to six flags. Vallejo isn't the most family friendly city. So I decided to take a chance and stay here. Hotel was clean , friendly staff and included a great breakfast buffet. The overall town of Benecia was nice. Eat at "Got plate lunch" super good Hawaiian food!!

Must stay location, near to cozy downtown Benicia, walk the sea wall, enjoy the sunrise sunset, have a glass of wine on or enjoy a game with a beer! Then walk to one of the many lovely eateries try French Tia or Mexican catch a smoked sandwich at Kinder's.

This is a clean, friendly hotel for a staying away at a value. It's not fancy but it is suitable. The breakfast is decent minus the powdered eggs. It is not what I would expect from a Best Western. I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

Excellent location for any destination in the area. Benicia is a lovely little California town, and this Best Western provides excellent access to the town as well as excellent access to the interstate. The front desk staff is helpful and very friendly. The free breakfast was wonderful with a great variety of possibilities. Maids and service staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well-appointed.

My husband and I took our grandchildren to Discovery Kingdom and decided to just stay the night rather than drive all of the way home. I took a chance and googled Motels/Hotels and how lucky I was to pick the Best Western Plus Heritage Inn. I am a bit OCD and I looked for dirt or faults in this Hotel and from the spotless rooms, hallways and swimming pool I could not find any faults AND that's saying a lot for me. I was even more impressed when we went for breakfast the next day. The set up was easy access, clean and all of the food was fresh, with a friendly attendant willing to help you out if you needed it. I will ALWAYS come back to this Hotel when we return to this area. It was only minutes from the park and its nice to lay your head down after a hard day playing at Discovery Kingdom and not think is my bed truly clean, because the entire facility is spotless. Thank you to all of the staff that made our stay a 5 star experience.

Nice and friendly staff. Location is ok...if you like small towns. Then Benicia is for you! Breakfast and light dinner stacks are well served. Would recommend this motel to others. Value is good for the area. There is another motel in Benicia. But the one is well worth it.

Had everything we needed for that home away from home stay but better. We felt the welcoming hospitality from beginning to the end. Very much enjoyed our stay and everyone we encountered during this stay. Even enjoyed jacuzzi swim in the rain.

VERY GOOD HOTEL. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were very nice. What really sold me on returning here if I am in the area is the free morning breakfast. It has almost everything you can imagine and want for a very filling meal. A great way to start the day.

My first stay at the Heritage Inn. Very easy to find, easy access. For my dollar it was well worth the trip. There were little things that I noted but overall, I will be staying here again. It was my first time with my Service Dog and the lady at Check In was AWESOME. I expected a little guff and instead got great service and patience. They even have a nice area for the dogs to do their business WITH clean up bags available. There were little things that bothered me like the cooling system seemed underpowered as on check in my room was 80 degrees and the cooling took quite a while with the system seemingly quite underpowered. Once it got to my desired temp though, it kept it nice in the room. The clock wrong by several hours. The TV remote had so many buttons it took a while to figure out which button turned everything on. Overall I was QUITE SATISFIED and will be staying here on my next visit to the Bay Area. By the way, Breakfast was the best offerings I have seen at a Best Western (which I stay at BW exclusively).

Our experience in this hotel was very positive. My partner had birthday and I made a surprise by reserving a room there. As soon as Darlene (front desk lady with excellent sense of humor) figured that this was my gift to him, she upgraded our two queen-size beds room to one king-size bed in a bigger room for FREE. She was wonderful about telling us about all the things that were available in the hotel, including free breakfast. By the way, the breakfast was something we definitely had low expectations about, but eventually were very surprised by the variety of food, drinks, and snacks. We definitely had amazing time there, and were feeling safe and cared about. Will deinitely stay again.

The facility offered well-kept, standard amenities with an additional quiet, garden reading area outside. What set this site apart was the helpful, gracious, professional staff. We would definitely stay here again if traveling in the area.

Minutes from Vallejo, a decent drive to Napa, Sonoma, even to San Francisco. Right near the freeway. Breakfast was good, lots of choices, good quality products. Our room was upgraded to a king bed suite near the dining room. It smelled a little, like humidity smell... We got used to it. Bathroom (toilette and bath/shower) was a little claustrophobically small, but the rest was completely fine. If you are used to best Western plus, this is on the bottom end of the spectrum, but still quite comfortable and a decent price for this area.

great hotel, great service, some of the bathroom fixtures were leaking but other than that great place to stay. cant beat the breakfast, so many items to choose from and the staff was outstanding. The staff in the breakfast dining area was so nice and asked if we had everything we needed or if she could do anything for us.

Right of the freeway, close to downtown Benicia. Super helpful staff. Heather and Darlene were a huge help to me, I had to book last minute and the ladies we so wonderful and honest . I could not be more happy with this choise of hotel. I love this place

I stayed at this hotel for one night on business. There are not many hotels in Benicia and this one was rated higher. The hotel was fine; the room was very big and quite comfortable. I did not like being on the first floor looking out at the parking lot; I didn't want to open the drapes, but because I was only there for one night, it was not an issue. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful.

Very quite and clean rooms and overall property. Friendly, helpful staff. Would have like some fruit at the breakfast, but was still good. A little hard to find at night, sign was blocked by some landscaping.

Room was large, clean and adequate but walls were thin and as such the only decent nights sleep is with earplugs! Plenty of parking and friendly staff make this room a perfect place for the single night I stayed.

We stayed here for a week while visiting the Napa Valley, Sonoma and Sanfrncisco. the hotel is clean and well located. the prices were reasonable and the breakfasts varied each day. On weekend there is easy access to the Bart train with free parking an quick access to San Francisco

I booked this hotel because of the good reviews I read, I obviously did not read enough of the reviews. The room had a very strong strange smell that I think was coming from the rugs or something they put on the rugs, the air conditioner blew out a dusty moldy smell when you turned it on and the noise from the freeway way so loud you could not keep the window open. The T.V. remote was also confusing we needed to call the front desk to ask someone to help us with it. I think I am through with Best Westerns after this hotel and for the price we paid 146.00 for the night it fell well below my expectations.

Was in Benicia for 5 days to visit family. This hotel was clean, modern, comfortable, and homey. We slept like rocks every night. Felt right at home right away. Great location since our daughter lives in Benicia and we were visiting her. Also convenient for us to visit Touro University in Vallejo on Mare Island, tour various wineries near Napa, and take the ferry to visit San Francisco for one day. This was our favorite hotel of our 2-week visit to the west coast. Breakfast was adequate, had some protein choices. (eggs, meat) which is important to us to keep us full until lunch. Had a good variety. I usually chose a yogurt with eggs, sausage and a small carb usually a bagel. The usual coffee, juices, fruit and more were available. The breakfast room could get crowded but please note there is additional seating for breakfast outside the room, something we didn't notice our first morning.

Recently spent 4 nights here for a nearby wedding event. The hotel is very clean; rooms are nice; the pool and hot tub were amazing. There was a lovely gathering area outside with adirondack chairs, BBQ grills, and a smoker. The daily breakfast was very good with lots of choices and a different main menu every day. Best of all, the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel (front desk, housekeeping, etc.) Five star service without the 5 star price. Very pleased.

We stopped here for two nights on a tour of California. The hotel is very convenient for the freeway, and we ventured out to Napa Valley and the Jelly Belly factory whilst stopping here. Our rooms were uniformly excellent with great bedding and nice bathrooms. The pool outside is a refreshing spot to relax, and the inclusive hot breakfast is good. We all agreed that it was an ideal hotel for our needs.

My family of four (children aged 5 and 8) were in the San Francisco area for a week and decided to stay at this hotel for 4 nights. First off, let me just say that the staff at this hotel were some of the friendliest I've ever come across. Everyone that I ran into gave me a big smile and said hello, whether it be the front desk person or the maintenance/cleaning person. When I encountered issues with the hotel, they tried their best (special shout out to Ariana) to accommodate my requests. Despite that, however, there are some red flags that travellers should be aware of. Rooms: We were originally given a room downstairs. To be frank, the room was dingy, the air circulation system was loud and clunky, and it smelled of cigarette smoke (which is ironic considering they make you sign a non-smoking waiver at check-in). Although the rest of the hotel seemed like it was renovated and refreshed, this particular room (#106) felt like a 2 star motel. Size-wise, it was pretty spacious which lots of room for us all to move around. That, however, did not make up for the depressing atmosphere, décor and smell. The next day, I requested a room change and they moved us upstairs to the third floor. Wow, what a difference; the room was lovely, bright, and smelled fresh. The air circulation system was updated and quieter. Needless to say, we were much happier. When checking-in, try to avoid room #106. It was a horrible room and not of the same quality as the rest of the hotel. Tourist Groups: During our short stay, I counted at least 4 foreign tourist groups that stayed at this hotel. One particular group was comprised mainly of teenagers who spoke little to no English and caused major disturbances throughout the night and the early morning hours. Even if you got the front desk person to call and ask for them to be quiet, they couldn't understand you anyway. Breakfast hours were regularly swarmed with people coming in and out of the eating area, congregating in the hallways speaking loudly to each other, and I even witnessed tour members knocking on random hotel doors thinking they were friends, when in fact, they were just regular people trying to get sleep. My family often had to find refuge from all the noise and hubbub in the lobby during breakfast, but that was soon interrupted with the entire tour congregating in the front to prepare for their daily excursions. If you are planning to stay at this hotel during the summer months, this is something to be aware of. It was incredibly disruptive to our stay. Amenities: Breakfast was only okay. I've stayed at comparable hotels in the past (i.e. Marriot Residence Inn, Holiday Inn Express etc.) and their breakfast spreads were always far more impressive. Here, the scrambled eggs were hard and pellet-like, there wasn't always sausages/bacon, a lot of choices came out of packages (i.e. packaged oatmeal/cereals), and there wasn't a lot of fresh fruit selection (i.e. sliced fruits) . If you like fried rice, however, there was always fried rice for the tourist folks in the morning. Bottom line - I was always able to find something for my kids and I to eat, but my husband stayed away entirely after the first day of being disappointed. Pool - we were not able to take advantage of the pool, although it looked nice and welcoming. Location: We are not originally from the San Francisco area, so it was difficult to decide where to stay to see everything we wanted (SF and Napa Valley) - should we fork over more money to stay closer to SF? Or can we stay a little further out and drive in when we needed? For those who would like to go into SF, I would suggest a closer hotel. With tolls and crazy traffic, the commute in was a little stressful. The town of Benicia, however, is lovely - the downtown waterfront had some really lovely restaurants. I can see why people would like to stay in this area. Overall: In the end, the hotel is nice enough. The lobby area is beautiful and welcoming. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Most rooms seemed to have been updated and refreshed. BUT if you were a traveller that got stuck in room #106 AND had to put up with the endless stream of tourist groups going through the hotel, you wouldn't be overly impressed either. Traveller beware.

Very nice hotel, with large rooms. We booked a king room, and it came with a very large bed, fridge &a microwave, as well as a whirlpool bath. It was clear the receptionist checking us in Was new as she did have difficulty checking us in, and did ask me to pay for the room again when it was prepaid. Luckily the other receptionist managed to sort everything otherwise this review would probably be very negative. The pool is a nice size, with lovely hot tub. Even though location is close to the freeway, you can only hear the road when outside the hotel, and even then there isn't very noticeable!

What a nice welcome, with a smile, makes all the difference. Everything was great, there is some road noise if you have a room at the front of the hotel. Other than that, perfect, just off the highway.

The BW in Benicia is a decent hotel with a pool, jacuzzi and excercise room What you get for the price makes it a great deal including the free breakfast. The staff is friendly. The only thing that I didn't like was the jacuzzi/pool hours were 10am to 10pm.

I was at this hotel for a very long period of time due to work. I felt safe and the staff was amazing. the facility is clean. the breakfast in the morning is good and the evening snacks a good as well. the staff serving the food is so friendly and caring.

We had 5 couples for a Sat. & Sunday nite stay. Enjoyed our time there & all was very nice. Benicia is a lovely little town & there were many historical places to see, particularly the old State Capitol Building.

Asia messed around at check in: "I'm doing the best i can"/ "we don't have that room"/"we are sold out" & as I was ready to not stay, they found the room I had requested. However, it smelled (I had to run to housekeeping and get spray), no TV listings (ran back to housekeeping to get it). Ridiculous that I have to do all of that. I'm almost 70 yrs old. Bfast good. AM clerk Dorothy helpful. Submitted survey and rec'd an answer from Geraldine Felaire-Cantu, general manager with a canned reply, not caring at all about the problems I had. She clearly has too much on her plate to be the GM. I don't even think she read the email. This place went from #1, never a problem, great customer service to treating guests horribly. AND it cost $160+ a night!!!! I will never stay there again.

We stayed 4 nights in Benicia visiting friends. Good size room, typical of BW. Decent breakfast, housekeeping services. Fast wi-fi, and adequate parking, nice surroundings. Choose room away from freeway.

Benicia isn't really you destination place in Northern CA (please tell me it isn't), but it f you do end up here it is a good spot to rest you head. Close to both 680 & 780 for freeway access (the freeway noise at the hotel was present but low). A few minutes from Safeway and a number of casual and fast food restaurants. Clean, free wifi, helpful staff, small fitness room, outdoor pool suitable for a dip (nowhere near large enough to swim laps), and a basic breakfast offering. Best of all, I left with no complaints, it won't be a highlight or even memorable but you'll get what you need and with a smile (seriously all of the staff seemed very happy to be there).

This hotel is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean and in good shape. The bedding was nice and comfortable. The lady in charge of the breakfast room kept everything full and the quality high. The pool and spa were clean and working well. I would stay here again.

Great place to stay! Friendly, helpful staff. Nice atmosphere and quiet, safe, environment. Great place to stay if you are on business, vacation, or just passing through. Located within an hour of all the popular tourist spots. Only a few minutes to wonderful waterfront views in a quaint little town.

Awesome experience, friendly staff, room was wonderful, price and value was perfect. Very pleasant hotel, every staff member was great, fast service, awesome clean room, fresh sheets, towels, great TV and internet.

We stayed here for the weekend of Norcal Pirate Festival, June 17 thru June 20 and found the room wonderful, nice and roomy, looking out over the pool area. It was a nice stay, but a little higher priced than we really wanted. The places in Vallejo proper were less, but not in a good area. The breakfast was good, changed everyday for the hot foods. Only issues I had was the water jug deal in the lobby always ran out and it took them well over an hour to refill it AND every vending machine ran out of water and they were unprepared to have it refilled. It would have been nice to have bottles of water in the lobby to purchase

This hotel is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was updated and in good shape. The bedding was nice and comfortable and the room contained extra pillows. The breakfast burritos on Sunday morning were wonderful and the lady in charge of the breakfast room kept everything consistently full and the quality high. The pool and spa were clean and working well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

For a Best Western and its kind, my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised at how every staff member we came across was very nice and welcoming. From the reception desk to the facility person, the breakfast person, and even the cleaning people we crossed along the hallway - each had a ready smile and everyone greeted us either good morning or good afternoon. Our interaction with the people was on the same level as being in Ritz Carlton and that is no exaggeration.

I was so shocked that this place was hidden in Benicia! I loved this hotel so much!! So clean, friendly staff, and one receptionist in particular helped us out so much after my wallet got stolen out of our car in Vallejo. I would most certainly stay at this Hotel again!

I stay here most weeks for business, great employees, the General Manager is always pleasant and wants to make sure all is good. I rarely do breakfast at the hotel. The rooms have most of what you need if you stock up from the grocery store.

Heritage Inn is in a wonderful location close to all the Bay area has to offer, and far enough out for a quite retreat from the City. I am often in the Bay area and stay here because the atmosphere is fantastic, folks are wonderful and Downtown Benicia is a close walk with great places for food and Spirits

The front desk receptionist was warm, friendly, and helpful. We chose this hotel because it is dog friendly. They give you dog food at checkin! The room was clean and nice. No hair dryer in the bathroom though. Hotel is in a nice quiet area. Their are walking paths nearby, which was great for taking the dogs on their nightly walk.

Although we have stayed here before, this is the second time we experienced internet connection issues. Tried using the house computers and they were also affected. On the plus side, room was comfortable and clean. Location was a little noisy because of highway on-ramp nearby. Breakfast was a little disappointing.in variety..

This Best Western Plus was well taken care of, friendly, convenient to First Street (where many shops etc. are), and comfortable. Our friend's got a wedding discount rate which was also nice. I also recommend the scones at Rags cafe just down the street.

Nothing special about this hotel. Mattresses need to be replaced. we had two queen beds and both sink in the middle. It's nice to know they wash the pillows but that has made them extremely lumpy and somewhat uncomfortable. Breakfast choices were typical. It would be really nice if they accommodated those who don't eat swine with other meat options.

The staff has always been great, some rooms have better beds than others but thats most hotels, i always request the 3rd floor its a bit quieter and seems a bit more updated. This hotel works great for business travel.

Not very impressive. Weak breakfast. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Hotel staff on entry was very average - not easy to follow in her instructions. Almost like she had said the same thing many times before and therefore was bored to describe details to me.

I loved staying here great rooms and facility Marbella the housekeeper was so sweet and very helpful!! The breakfast was very good with lots of choices and they even offer a evening snack with wine. There is a great place to sit and relax under a big tree near the pool.

The employees go out of their way to make sure your stay is a good one. The rooms are clean and roomy; I manage a Hotel and these things are important to me and the grounds are clean and the breakfast is plenty.

We were in town for a wedding - the hotel was close to the venue - easy to find - Arianna, at the front desk was a gem (great customer service) - our room was large, very clean and the bed comfortable - would stay again in a heart beat - we had a wonderful stay

Please serve breakfast past 9:30 especially on Sunday and do not ask for 25. to mail a nigh gown to a client that was left behind. I had to donate it instead. Other than that the hotel was nice although was not within walking distance to the downtown area for restaurants, water, etc.

Very relaxing with the outdoor pool and hot tub. Had a whirlpool bathtub and the breakfast had a large selection to choose from. It is also pet friendly! Love the place. Will be staying again soon for just a night get away to relax. Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of your people.

Great amenities, close to freeway (easy on & off). On the other side of that, loud vehicle noise can be the only draw back of this property. Otherwise, the staff was great, the fitness room was good and the pool was inviting. Overall, I will try and use this location as much as possible. It's hard to find a good value these days...this is a good value!

Helpful Staff quick to take care of problems, a great Breakfast with protein and eggss and Chorizo and make your own Breakfast Burrito. The facility was a bit old, but they were installing new windows, and the beds and bedding were new and comfortable, I would stay again

Nice room décor, comfy bed with nice clean sheets. Everything worked! Lights, tv, heater/fan and internet. The area is easy access for handicapped people and easy access to ice machine and breakfast areas.

I stayed here while in town for a wedding. The location was convenient and easy to get to. The staff was super nice and accommodating even with a last minute request for late check out! The room was large, clean and comfortable. Many of us visiting could visit from room to room with ease - not always an easy thing in smaller rooms. I stayed on the first floor next to the breakfast room - while I heard some noise it wasn't bad at all.

I normally stay at a competing chain of hotel, this trip I decided to stay at the BW since our conference was held their as well. The staff help me secure a reservation despite them being fully booked. They greeted me by name when I arrived. The rooms are kept very clean and comfortable. I will come back to this location when I return t the area.

They don't care about the guest. My wife's computer was fried and they did nothing even after I filed a complaint as well as a insurance claim. The customer service over the phone was even less helpful. They had wrong info which they kept relaying to me before just simply reading through the notes to make sure as to what happened. I explained the situation way too many times to count!

From the friendly greeting by Geraldine at the front desk to the parade of service workers the courtesy and congeniality of the staff was very positive. Makes me think there must be something in the water in Benecia, CA! We had a lovely stay and the accommodations were excellent. The terrific group rate that the wedding planners had arranged was the icing on the cake!

Not one for frequenting large chain hotels but we were stuck and needed a port in the storm. Literally. And what a nice surprise to find a genuine welcome and comfortable room. Indeed, the room was quite large and very very clean. Beds perfect. Wish it was summer - there's a lovely pool and best of all? It's Pet friendly!! We are both very pleased that we got stuck in this lovely little undiscovered town of Benicia. But please don't pass the word; we want to keep the Inn and the quaint downtown all to ourselves.

This is an excellent hotel. The service that they provide is very very good, beginning with their always smiling staff, wifi, room, food, etc. The breakfast is really good with many options. The reason for not giving a 5 star review is the price (I should have used internet for booking)

The hotel is clean and in good shape. I did find the front desk friendly. Check in was a little bit slow and staff seem overwhelmed. But the hotel was sold out during my stay, two large groups, 1 Chinese tour group and a huge work crew from the refinery. It was very loud and busy, my room was on 1st floor and I heard noise from upstairs, neighbors, hallway and from window that face parking lot where trucks were left running. Unfortunately it was too loud and busy for me.

My experience with the front desk at "check in" is great. I prefer to stay on the 3rd floor it seems to be updated. Price good. Small gym but it works to keep the cardio up. Convenient location to eats. It works great for business trips due to beds are good and i sleep better than at other hotels.

Hotel was very clean (especially smelling) and the front counter staff was accommodating. The room was neat and clean and fairly big. It had a whirlpool tub that I seriously considered but never got the chance because of work. I would recommend this hotel but you must have a vehicle because there isn't a lot of options walking distance.

The staff was wonderful and the room was very clean as well as the grounds. I did have a problem with the noise factor from the other rooms and above us. The breakfast was good and plenty to get your morning going.

The B.W.'s I've stayed with over the past six months have shared a couple of things in common - the staff's appear to be well trained not just in the paperwork side but the customer care/experience side of things, well done BW! As well, there seems to be an emphasis on refurbishing/remodeling/renovating the facilities, again, well done BW. I spend a lot of time away from home and it appears BW is trying to make a quests stay as comfortable as possible. I really liked your facility in Rock Springs, Wyoming by the way.

We always stay at this hotel when we are in the area. It is close to everything. Benicia is a great little town. Napa is really close. The freeway is right by. The staff is very nice. The breakfast is fresh and the usual expected items. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. Lots of pillows so easy to find a comfy one.

My boyfriend and I and out two dogs had been camping all in Oregon and Northern California. We were headed into San Francisco to meet some friends and couldn't find any camping. It was a GREAT pleasure to see that this Best Western Plus took dogs. The fee ($20 per dog) was really reasonable for what we got in the room. The room we got was right by the exit and it opened up to a big yard for dogs (not fenced) but it was perfect for bathroom breaks. They also supple doggy bags incase you forgot yours. The girl that check me in at 10pm, was a hoot to talk with. She was very friendly and pleasant, and it was Thanksgiving night. It was a great stop on our trip, we left well rested and money spent well. (and we are pretty frugal people)

My rental unit was suddenly flooded, forcing me to immediately find quality, emergency housing for my tenant and her family. The people at Best Western Plus Heritage Inn in Benicia really came through. I especially want to thank Tiana, Asia and Monica for their patience and professionalism in helping me set up extended stay accommodations for my tenants during a time of high occupancy at the hotel. My tenants were taken care of very well, and the complimentary breakfasts and light evening snacks helped with the food budget. I highly recommend the Best Western in Benicia to business and vacation travelers, alike, who want a clean, new facility in a great town at fair rates.

The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night. The room was ok- but there were some issues with lights and plug-ins not working properly or at all. The pool and jacuzzi closed early. The price was decent for the room.

Check in seamless. The staff was very friendly. The room was ready and my requests were met. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The TV has a lot of channels. This is the only place I would stay in the Bay Area.

Really friendly staff, we stayed on a Thursday night, so they had a little reception in the breakfast room with nachos. Kind of nice to get a snack. Room was clean, area was quiet, would stay here again.

Front desk staff was extremely helpful. They had happy hour with nachos, pop and wine- this helped tide us over until dinner. It was tasty! Breakfast is included, decent for hotel breakfast. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable. Would stay here again!

The service at this hotel was great, very friendly staff. The hotel itself, and the rooms were very clean. The only minor issue we had was with the in-room internet. It didn't work very well. Other than that, our family had a great experience here.

We stayed here one night because it was close to six flags. Friendly staff, comfy beds, plenty pillows and towels. Short drive to many restaurants and the bay. Breakfast was very good; mexican breakfast burritos. Jacuzzi looked inviting, but other people were enjoying it.

We stayed in Benicia which is very comfortable for access to Napa and Sonoma Valley to visit vine yards. Also very convenient to visit San Francisco but DO use the ferry from Vallejo to San Francisco to avoid the horrendous traffic by car!

I read the reviews regarding this hotel being adjacent to the freeway. So, when I made reservations I asked for non smoking and the non freeway side. Upon check in the clerk mentioned my special non freeway request and was able to accommodate us in spite of our late evening arrival. We were on the 3rd floor, room 325.The room decor was fine, zero smell of cigarette smoke, zero freeway noise. When I was walking in the hall I could hear the people in the next room talking but, upon entering our room I could not hear them at all. That was nice. AC was quiet and worked well. Breakfast offered a variety of foods. Biscuits and gravy, boiled eggs, sausage, yoghurt, some strange egg fold over things, waffles, cereal, some awesome orange passion guava juice, bagels & cream cheese, good coffee, Lipton tea, toast etc. The breakfast room was large and a large family reunion or something was there at the same time and large groups laughing and having a good time can be deafening in the breakfast room. Beds were firm with a moderate pillow top. TP well within reach. Flat screen TV was HUGE! We'd stay here again, no problem.

I made a same day reservation at this hotel but no one mentioned there was an issue with the water. For several hours there was none and around 7 PM there was only cold water in the sink & no water in the bathtub. The staff was courteous and tried their best however when I booked the room I should have been informed over the phone of this issue. The room was clean but certainly NOT worth the $147 price with or without the water. I did decide to checkout and was given a full refund. Again the staff was courteous but I would not stay there again.

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Very happy that our non-smoking room did not smell of smoke !! The kids enjoyed the outdoor pool even though it is not heated, so it was a little cold at night, and we all enjoyed the hot tub. We also enjoyed the TV channel selection and free Wi-Fi. Great selection at breakfast, just wasn't fond of the eggs.
