I was so disappointed with so much about this hotel. Firstly, of all the hotels in the world we have visited over 50 years, this is the first time a hotel has not provided transport or at least helped us more with taxis when we arrived in a town we didn't know. The welcome from the man at the desk was so rude. He didn't even say hello or how was your trip? But launched into some monologue in a most aggressive manner and did not wait to listen to what our request had actually been. We simply gave up trying to talk with him. Despite us both speaking English and French fluently, there was certainly a misunderstanding but we had no chance at softening his 'welcome'. No umbrellas when it rained? The staircase to the first floor was filthy. It looked like it had never been vacuumed. The entire reason we chose this hotel was because of the Spa but we never used it in the end. Unlikely to ever stay in a Best Western again

I went there during an extremely hot day (40C). The staff were professional and helpful. The lounge and restaurant were not air conditioned and it was not pleasant there. However, the room was well air conditioned, clean and comfortable. The bathroom / toilet was reasonably sized with all amenities. Unfortunately, the walls were thin so I could hear my neighbours. The breakfast was not included and it was a bit expensive for what one got.

Nice hotel with an excellent restaurant. Hotel staff, in particular Oliver, were friendly and helpful. The room was a little small and lacked a refrigerator, but it was clean and had a shower with great water pressure.

We stayed for two nights The staff were very friendly and helpful, which we truly appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and included much more than just a coffee and croissant — a great way to start the day. The location is also very good, with a shopping center and an excellent supermarket nearby, the location is very convenient for exploring the area. However, we did have some issues with the room. There was a strong, mouldy smell that lingered, especially in the pillows. The shower had very low water pressure and splashed water all over the bathroom. On our second day, there was no hot water — my husband informed the front desk, but unfortunately, the issue wasn't resolved, and I ended up taking a cold shower. We hope these problems would be addressed for future guests.

Excellent stop for us a family of three en route from the Aveyron region up to our ferry crossing home. Very comfortable beds. Excellent spa very welcome after a long drive. Excellent evening meal and cocktails. Very friendly staff, especially Olivier who checked us out. Would definitely use again.

We were happy to find the Hotel Amarys, the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Every member of the staff we came in contact with morning or late night all gave the same amazing service. The room was clean, and vere sufficient. Breakfast is delicious.Pillows are wonderful.It is also in a great location as far as proximity to town, trains, and shops. While being close to everything it was still a quiet location. I hope everyone else has as great an experience as we had.

"Poor service and renovations severally affect the stay"

The hotel is going through a major renovation, which is understandable, but some notice would have been appreciated so you can make a decision. There is dust everywhere, and it gets on all belongings. The rooms are small and very basic. A small kettle, and a clock - but you have to unplug one to use the other. The soap for the hand wash had run out. The rooms don't get cleaned while you stay, and towels are not changed, despite putting a sign on the door to request a fresh towel after 2 nights. The restaurant is really affected by the changes, with a knocked down wall through. Breakfast was very basic but still expensive. Perhaps useful for people to know, that there are several supermarkets just behind.

"Dishonest and cheating"

Booked many weeks in advance from the UK as a treat so we could use the pool and relax for two days during a motorbike tour. Arrived hot and tired to find it nothing like the photos. A complete building site. Forget pool....No receptions, incomplete stairs, building materials everywhere, no reception etc etc. We had pre-booked with full price and the manager just laughed it off.

Clean and tidy hotel with very helpful and pleasant staff. On site parking was useful and no problems. Room was clean and had all that we needed. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. Would visit again if in the area.
