"Perfect holiday!"
Kristína R, 23 Mars 2024

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, perfect holiday, food was delicious. The distance of the hotel from the airport was very good. We rented a car and traveled the island in one day and we can see many natural beauties. Many thanks! And finally we were lucky and saw a baby turtle:)

"We absolutely loved our stay at The Galaxy"
HeatherDxoxo, 27 Octobre 2023

We had completely managed our expectations due to it being end of season and having read reviews on here but goodness me there was no need! We have just had a wonderful week at the Galaxy Beach Resort. The staff were amazing, from lovely Evie and Sonia on reception, to the smiley cleaners and especially the wonderful Esmerelda in the restaurant and Daniella at the pool bar who both made a huge fuss or our little boy and looked after us beautifully. The rooms we had were perfect with the most incredible sea views, it was always brilliantly cleaned and just what we needed. The food we were also totally impressed by, ok it's not super hot but it always tasted fresh and made well. We definitely enjoyed our special holiday in Zakynthos and wouldn't hesitate returning to The Galaxy.

"Amazing hotel - George and his team made us feel like family visiting - and honestly what more could you ask for. "
Steve G, 15 Octobre 2023

We don't understand the negative reviews written about this hotel, we have never stayed anywhere as a family where we felt our happiness was put front and centre like it was here. Due to food allergies and dietary needs communication was established with George the manager before flying, who quickly assured us that as soon as we arrived our needs would be noted and met, and they certainly were! Dinos the chef came out to speak to us every night about meals we could eat or what he could whip up in the kitchen for our daughter, and Esmeralda was extremely helpful in the morning and lunch time slots to make sure we had what was needed both always with a smile and a hello. The food is amazing, the variety was fantastic and nothing was too much, we didn't ask for anything special but I'm now slightly addicted to the fritters Dinos cooked up! If you are a vegan, the food they provided - the burgers, fake chicken, kebabs etc was way better than what is available in the UK supermarkets. They provided dairy free butter and cheese and always showed us the packaging to double check. Grateful to George for the supermarket runs! The hotel is very clean and maintained to a high standard, the majority of the staff are so lovely, polite and welcoming, and learning a few basic greek phrases such as hello and thank you just seemed to make their day. The pool and beach areas are fantastic, even if they were busy it wasn't long before beds became available. Inclusive drinks were good, including the beer. Evening entertainment was brilliant and the social areas outside and the rooftop bar were comfortable and always clean. The town is a short walk down the beach (got lost trying to go down the roads, use the beach to the main strip then head up). Again this hotel was a fantastic stay, George and his team made us feel like family visiting - and honestly what more could you ask for. N.B. If you are reading this from the UK thinking of booking with TUI - please don't. They were abysmal from start to finish, from check in (one staff member 300 people to check in) to return, TUI were a waste of money, and the days they book you into the hotel make no sense, as a family we had to pay for an extra day as our pick up was 3am and check out was 11am the day before - this is not the Galaxy's fault, but TUIs and they don't listen nor care, Zante airport was full of disgruntled families and travellers from all over Zante 100-200 euros out of pocket because TUI couldn't organise a drink in a brewery. There were no reps around, and the reps available on the app were robotic and the most non empathic people ever communicated with. JET2 were seen at the hotel a few times, book with them. As a family we loved our stay at the Galaxy, George and his team, including Dinos and Esmerelda made our stay an unforgettable one.

"A pleasant hotel with helpful staff. Family friendly"
cathiepooh, 08 Octobre 2023

A great wee hotel, perfect for families in particular. The food is good for all inclusive. We were on our honeymoon and had asked for a room preferably on the upper floors but were given one on the ground floor. The room was very small and a bit tired and we spoke to reception and were given an upgrade the next day. This absolutely made our stay as the room was very large with a nice large balcony and partial sea view. If I were to stay in this hotel again, I would not choose the 'promotional' rooms as this was the small room we got and I heard a lot of people complaining about the small size of rooms and that they were of need of a bit of TLC too. This hotel claims it is a 4/5 star but I would rate it at around 3 stars. I think that this hotel could so easily be 4-5 stars if they spent a bit of time doing some basic maintenance of rooms. Bar staff are lovely. Very strict about the closing time of roof top bar and this could benefit from being an 'adults only' zone. The hotel is right on the beach which is great and you can walk just 5 minutes to the right and be right in the heart of the clubs etc but not even know they are there if you stay on site. The sunbeams are charged at 10E for the front row, 6E for the rest and 12E for the Bali beds. There is one sign on the bar to tell you this so we were not aware of this on our first day and were a bit taken aback when the guy asked us for money. It would be better if this information was shared when checking in. You have to pay a deposit of 50E for the room which you get back at the end of your stay. You also have to pay the tourist tax of 4E per night so it is handy to have this available when you check in. The beer is really good at this hotel and the rest of the drinks are ok too for all inclusive rates. It is not branded drinks but the beer and wine are good and they have some cocktails on the menu too. There is some entertainment on most of the evenings down at the pool bar which is nice but if you are there to party, then this is probably not the place for you to hang around. I was told that Saturday and Sunday evenings are when the people from Zante have their rest so it's not like a 'typical' weekend here. However, you can still walk just 5 minutes to find nightlife should you want. The other tip I would give this hotel is that although some staff have branded uniform on, it is not always easy to know who works there as they have plain clothes with no name badge or branding. It would have been particularly a good idea for the guy who watches the sun loungers on the beach to be more recognisable as from the hotel as when he asked us for money the first day, we did not know who he was and thought he was maybe trying it on! All in all quite a pleasant trip and I would say to stay here.

"Definitely won't return"
Rosalind S, 08 Octobre 2023

Worst AI ever ! Room very disappointing as we had a “promotional room” room very dark, never saw sunlight. Completely overlooked by hotel block facing, never sat on balcony!! Knobs fallen off draw, door net curtain had been ripped and stitched! towels worn , one even had a hole in ! Food awful, catering on a cheap budget, food just warm and repetitive, no show cooking only a lady cooking eggs. Wine was horrid. We were given water in room that we needed to replace, my husband helped himself to a small bottle of water from fridge at bar, to be told very abruptly that's not for AI guests unless you pay!! Likewise with icecream in same fridge we had to pay, we could help ourselves to tub icecream. Hotel in general needs updating, public area shabby. On a positive note hotel in great location, great beach, plenty of local restaurants (that we used). We booked through Jet2 and definitely worst we've been to with them!! We won't be returning!!!

"Holiday from hell"
dizzytart1955, 05 Octobre 2023

Probably the worst all inclusive holiday we have ever had in over forty years of travel. Food is disgusting. Bland, tasteless , repetitive & always cold. We complained to Tui on first day & the manager George saw us . Total waste of time as just told to microwave it. Not happy to reheat food especially rice. No white wine available for 3 days , when we spoke to the restaurant manager she told us we could buy a bottle for 10€ ! Very unfriendly lady who could do with learning some customer service skills. We complained to Tui who gave us £150 as a goodwill gesture. We spent a lot more than that over 2 weeks eating out every night. Drinks are served in plastic glasses unless you insist on a proper glass. Staff in the beach bar looked after us in the evenings and we always had a proper glass. Spiros & Pano were the best. Roof top bar was only used once by us as again plastic glasses & when we asked for a proper glass we were told to be careful with it ! Reception staff are not welcoming. We had a good room which was kept very clean. Be aware that sunbeds are charged by the hotel on the beach at up to 10€ . No TUI rep in hotel. We have complained to our travel company & hopefully this hotel will be downgraded & removed from TUI holidays.

"Definitely NOT a 4 star"
Emmajor25, 04 Octobre 2023

Cons: Got to the hotel and the reception ladies were very rude. Had to fill in a form which asked for credit card details. We did not give them. Then given keys to our rooms. Rooms were OK. Our bathroom light was broken, took them 2 days to replace after reporting to reception. We came with Tui and Tui do not visit the hotel and basically leave you to fend for yourself. We never saw 1 Tui rep from UK Airport to hometime. The food let's this hotel down majorly. We ate out 4 nights out of 7. They have a microwave in the restaurant and you definitely need it. We have 2 young boys and they did not cater to children at all. There was 2 staff at the poolside bar who was really nice. The rest would ignore you for as long as possible. Pros: the hotel site itself is great. 10min walk to the strip along the sea front and the sea and views are stunning. My kids LOVED the pool and it wasn't cold either. More than enough sunbeds for everyone. They upgraded us for free to a family suite room. The turtle spotting was great, we did manage to see 1. You MUST do the water village! That was by far the best day out we've ever done. No queues, food was good. Overall: It's not a 4 star as Tui advertised and would not come back to this hotel, but it was a good holiday as what we made it.

"Nice hotel shame about food"
richardm456, 04 Octobre 2023

We checked in mid afternoon after a long flight only to be greeted by 2 rude reception ladies. We were given a form and told to go over to the tables and fill in the forms no help just told to go and do them. When we asked for information about the hotel we were told information in your room but the QR code didn't work. Not just us, another couple said they had the same issue. When we were told its €28 per room and we wanted to pay separate she was not happy. The hotel itself was excellent with fantastic view's private beach (but be aware you have to pay min of €7 per bed per day charged by the hotel). The pool was brilliant plenty of sun beds hardly any reserved. The pool snacks were sandwiches cakes and left in the heat all day. Restaurant: breakfast's were the best, as for the rest of the meals not very nice at all and I'm not a fussy eater. Hardly anything for the kids just pizza or fish fingers but nothing in the evening. They provided a microwave so we could heat food up as it was usually cold. Rooms were very good pool towels left in your room and always clean n tidy. But again we didn't see them for first day and only knew they were there because we found them in a cupboard. Staff at pool and restaurant were on the whole very good just a couple that didn't want to be there but thats everywhere these days. We ate out 3 nights and found an excellent restaurant just round the corner really recommend them. They are called Country greek restaurant.

"Will not be returning or recommending."
chriseL7579OC, 03 Octobre 2023

We stayed at this supposedly 5 Star Hotel recently for 14 days after our scheduled holiday to Skiathos was cancelled due to the recent storms. Our first impression was ok our room was fine, clean and adequate. It all started falling apart when we went down to the dining room for dinner with just under an hour left of service we found not a lot left and what was left was cold bland and tasteless which was the theme for the rest of our stay, pretty much sums up the dining experience when cold chips are served for breakfast ! After complaing to Tui we had an interview with George the manager who tried to explain that the food had to be kept at a certain temperature to comply with food hygiene standards but did explain there was a microwave available to reheat our food which just made the food even more tasteless if that was possible and reheat rice !!. We then went to the rooftop bar for a cocktail and catch the sunset, tasteless cocktails served in a plastic mug !really! I asked for a glass of wine which again was going into a cheap plastic mug, which I refused and requested a proper wine glass, well I like to think I don't look my age being in my Sixties however I was a little miffed when the girl behind the bar begrudgingly gave me a glass and told me to be careful. I totally understand the need for plastic glasses around the pool area elsewhere I don't think so. To summarise this hotel is way below 5 Star standard even by Greek standards, the food offered was obviously the cheapest available and was bland, tasteless and repetitive the soft drinks and wine grim,no white wine available in the restaurant for 3 nights! plenty of bottles available but at an extra cost when I requested to see the manager again a note was supposedly left for him but no contact until we complained again to Tui. If anyone is thinking of booking this hotel please don't or just book room only, when even a couple of staff members told me they wouldn't eat there and recommended some local restaurants well that sums up this place.

"Amazing week at Galaxy"

"Nobody travelling with you? No problem!"
tomkolkman, 20 Septembre 2023

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Everything from the facilities, rooms and particularly the staff made sure I had the most relaxing holiday I've experienced in a long time. Location is perfect for both enjoying the beach and heading out to the main strip. Rooms were always cleaned properly in my opinion and staff was always available for any questions you may have or some quick lessons in Greek. The food was very enjoyable as well, with a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options. Special thanks to George and Daniela who were an absolute pleasure and very helpful throughout my stay! Definitely would go here again!

"Beautiful views "
Hannah W, 07 Août 2023

Lovely hotel with beautiful views and direct access to the beach. The all you can eat buffet was good and it was always easy to get a table. George the hotel manager was very helpful throughout our time there. No request was too much to ask, he was always happy to help.

"Good but with rezerves"
ioanv52, 06 Août 2023

A nice resort. It is hard to understend why there is nobody to supervize the pool and to stop the children who are diving and splashing all the time. It is a very bad experience. I am not a fun of "adults only" resorts but a minimum spervisig is mandatory. As always the main resposables are the parents...

"On the waters edge"

"Not a 5 star"
I2929OVdavidh, 19 Octobre 2022

Booked with loveholidays. Advertised as 5 star hotel. Turned up today to be greeted by a very unfriendly reception. Hotel is quite scruffy. Went to restaurant, which we thought was a snack bar, as it's small with hardly any food there. Terrible selection. Waiters etc don't even acknowledge you. Pool bar, you soon realise that the all inclusive is pretty poor and serve rola cola lol. Barman made me wait 10mins before serving me cos he was busy chatting to his mate. At best this place is 3 star. Nice seating area by beach but shocking that loveholidays could advertise this as a 5 star

"Dated and depressing hotel"
Lisajogden, 16 Octobre 2022

We had booked 7 nights at the white olive elite but when we checked in we got told the hotel closed on the last night and we were being moved to the Galaxy. We accepted this - but when we got to the hotel we found it incredibly dated and lacking in soul and spirit. The lights weren't on in the restaurant at lunchtime and the food was cold. The man on the bar was really rude and we just found the whole experience disappointing and depressing. The bed was comfortable and the lady on reception was lovely but that was all we found good about it. I wouldn't normally complain but this needs to be highlighted to others.

"Don't come here "
emmaoF6195GV, 14 Octobre 2022

We came here as a hen party when the hotel we booked decided to close and we were offered this hotel as an option. We saw the reviews and were happy to switch. They happily took our money knowing we were a party of ladies but we have been made very unwelcome from the outset. First day. We played some games, kept in very respectful - didn't do anything that was offensive. Our only sin was to laugh. Were told to be quiet. Apparently upsetting others which of course was never our intention. We are a party of 12 women from 21 to 56 and holiday regularly. I can honestly say that I have never been told to be quiet in hundreds of holidays. This has been upsetting and has ruined our stay. The majority of the staff have major issues with being nice - and considering they are in 'hospitality' I think they should reacquaint themselves with what that word means. Forced to walk around the restaurant when it's raining cats and dogs - just because it's apparently too inconvenient for them to let us through. Constantly told to be quiet - loads of the other guests even tried to intervene on our behalf because they felt we were being treated unfairly - but to no avail! This hotel is not for you if you want to enjoy yourself! You will be vilified and made to feel like to have to shut up constantly. I will give a shout out to Spyros and Daniela who did everything they could to make us welcome and we thank you both so much for everything. Also George the manager who was receptive to our concerns and placated us, but unfortunately the majority of his staff let him down and need to look at new jobs - I would suggest undertakers, traffic wardens or abattoir workers. Good luck

"Complaint"
deniseo346, 14 Octobre 2022

We are on a hen do, which they are 12 of us. Ok we have had a great laugh and a sing song and have been very respectful of other guests. I understand that we have been having a great laugh which I wouldn't have thought have been disrespectful to other guests and. Have feed back that is the case. We have been told during the day, by the bar staff, that we must reduce the noice as they have had complainants. This was at 6pm and most of the people in the bar were joining in and there was no one above us. If this happened after 11pm then I would understand.

"Underwhelming "
Julie g, 11 Octobre 2022

As a couple, we have recently spent 10 days here. First impressions were good. We took a taxi from the airport which was only 15 minutes. The hotel has a perfect location on the beach front and our room was clean and reasonably modern. Now onto the negatives - the balcony overlooked the other part of the hotel so basically looked onto other guests' balconies. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The beach, which is just joined to the hotel, provided sunbeds and parasols but at a charge of €10 for front row and €6 for the rows behind. Bottled water had to be paid for yet you can drink alcohol all day without question. The staff in the restaurant were rather urgent to take your plates away and were dressed very casually in jogging bottoms and t shirts. I would have expected a meet and greet at least for evening meal but we had to just find a table and often go in search of cutlery. Onto the food - it was always cold (there was a microwave) but surely that should not be necessary. Hot water was in short supply in the bathroom so we often had very cold showers. We raised this with reception to be told they had looked into it and there was nothing further that they could do. Our room was “cleaned” every day but the same piles of sand that were in our shoes and beach bag remained for our whole stay. Zante itself was beautiful and the hotel was in a perfect location but definitely not 5*, I'd give it 3*. Won't be going back.

"Lovely stay at the Galaxy Beach resort"
wmffre2016, 07 Octobre 2022

Myself and my family - 5 adults and one 3 year old have just returned from a lovely week at the Galaxy Beach resort. The rooms were clean and housekeeping came every day. Clean towels daily and they supplied towels for the pool too. The location was fantastic, with the beach a few steps away from the pool and lovely views. Plenty of sunbeds and a lovely pool and playground for children. €6 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella on the beach, which was great. The food was lovely, with plenty of choice at lunch and dinner. For breakfast, there was always fresh fruit, breads and pastries and cooked options. The soft drinks and red wine were the poorest part of the all inclusive menu, but the hot drinks, white wine, spirits and beer were good. Plenty of choice for boat trips - we did a trip to turtle island (saw a few turtles!), which also went to Keri Caves, which were beautiful. We also visited The Little Farm, a family run farm and petting zoo, which was lovely and only 15mins walk off the main strip. . Overall a lovely stay, within 5mins walk to bars and restaurants. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. We would definitely come back.

"Perfect retreat"
swiftette1, 05 Octobre 2022

Galaxy is the perfect all-inclusive to cocoon away from society - we thoroughly enjoyed as a couple but I would suggest that it would be ideally suited for an artistic retreat. The buildings and decor are stunning and I can't speak highly enough of the on-the-beach setup. Rooms We were put in one of the Luna rooms, which was in a separate building to the main hotel. It was massive and had every comfort we could need but unfortunately the wifi did not quite reach it, and there was not much selection for evening TV channels. Our private balcony did not have a sea view but instead faced out the back of the hotel over the local area, meaning we often could hear beautiful singing in the evenings whilst enjoying a drink on the balcony. Beach Definitely the selling point of this hotel in my opinion. Mere steps away from the hotel and many options for deckchairs - just make sure to bring euros (€6/day for the deckchairs with umbrella, more for front row or the four-poster style ones, cost not included in all-inclusive). Strong fast wifi available on the beach, and being seconds away from the bar and ice cream area meant we were never without. It is a shared/public beach with occasional sellers but they are not pushy in the slightest and we felt safe to leave our belongings with our deckchairs. Delightful sand beach with a gorgeous light breeze and easy to take a quick swim in the sea to cool off! NB you shouldn't swim past the yellow buoys - this is written on the lifeguard huts but isn't hugely clear. Food & Drink Overall the buffet meals were of a fantastic standard, with a completely different selection each lunch and dinner and always with a range from local delicacies, to very well stocked salad bar, to 'safe' options for the pickiest eaters. The gyros on Greek night was particularly excellent! My only complaint would be that for some reason the apple juice on the drink machine was replaced with water for the duration of our visit for some reason. Outside of meal times there were always ice cream, popcorn, and sandwiches or pastries available at the snack bar. The bar was well supplied with a range of all-inclusive cocktails catering to all tastes, and local alcohols. The bartenders were friendly and always ready with a big smile. Sadly the roof bar was not open during our trip due to inclement weather- we hope to visit this next time. Other facilities We completely ignored the poolside as we were enjoying the beach so much (see above!), but there are also lots of different cosy self-contained seating options scattered on the lawn which we enjoyed on a cooler afternoon. There are also pingpong and pool tables which are freely available and well looked after. Whilst this hotel doesn't seem aimed at children, the children we saw were enjoying the bouncy castle and kids pool and seemed more than content. There wasn't any scheduled 'entertainment' whilst we were there except a piano evening in the bar one night - perhaps a 'local culture' evening or movie night would be a wonderful addition. Service We had a misunderstanding re airport transfers which the wonderful manager (George) was gracious enough to sort out promptly and to our satisfaction. The staff were also thoughtful enough to surprise us with a bottle of wine for our anniversary which was a lovely touch! Excursions There are boats for hire along the beach within 5 minutes stroll, but the water was quite choppy when we were there so we instead walked to Laganas (approx 10 mins along the beach) and took at trip from the Happy Travellers stand, going via speedboat to Turtle Island. We brought our snorkels with us - not loads to see but interesting nonetheless. Strangely the local War Museum is part of the hotel grounds, but the weather was too enjoyable during our stay to be inside! Shopping Having had a long sweaty walk to the bigger town Kalamaki in search of souvenirs, we can save you some time and recommend Erika's Tourist Shop in nearby Laganas as having the nicest selection of beautiful souvenirs at reasonable prices and lots of hidden treasures! There are loads of local restaurants and bars nearby too but we were enjoying the food and drink at the hotel too much to sample these.

"Beware The Galaxy Beach resort is not a 5 star hotel"
Peter B, 04 Octobre 2022

We stayed for a week at the end of September, the food was cold served on cold plates, stored in plate warmers which were clearly not turned on. Breakfasts were always the same selection other meals were reasonably varied. Our room was rather basic but clean that said the bathroom was small and hot water was on many occasions unavailable indeed sometimes the water stopped completely, not funny if one is in the midst of a shower, clearly the water supply could not meet the demand when other residents were using it. The staff were in general all very helpful and friendly which helped us to enjoy our holiday in a very good location in Laganas

"3 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star"
Pauleo, 01 Octobre 2022

The hotel itself is nice and in a great location on the beach in the centre of Laganas. It has a good pool area and a great rooftop bar open until midnight, however this was closed intermittently for no reason. We had to pay 90 Euros at check in - 40 tax and 50 for a room deposit, although I'm not sure anything in the room was worth 50 Euros. As an AI guest you still have to pay for sun beds on the beach 6 or 10 Euros per day depending on the beds - we estimated the Galaxy has over 100 beds on the beach earning the hotel at least 500 / 600 Euros per day. You also have to pay for bottled water - you can drink whiskey, vodka, gin etc all day and night but can't get bottled water unless you pay for it - ridiculous. The food is probably the worst I've had in a hotel - cold, bland and tasteless. There's feral cats roaming the restaurant with a notice stating “Do not feed the cats” although I think the cats put this notice up themselves as they didn't seem to like it either. Lovely hotel but definitely not a 5 star one.

"family beach 4 star hotel"
travellover2601, 20 Septembre 2022

The location on the beach is great. The furnishing of the resort does not fulfil a 5-star hotel at all. The main building with the reception should be the oldest, so in standard rooms the bathrooms could have a bad fitting, besides warm water only for a very short time. Dinner is nothing special at all, beverages, also wines, very low quality, they are included in the price. The majority of the staff in the eating hall doesn`t greet the guests and look very unmotivated.

"Beautiful Beach"
B4379XBmichaelb, 12 Septembre 2022

Lovely hotel ,clean, good wi fi in room.Good facilities in room, pay extra for mini bar and fridge, but adequate air con and decent size balcony. No real view mainly overlook similar rooms opposite.Set in grounds with plenty of seating although the pool area seems a bit crowded. The beach is great 6e for sun beds, lovely swimming.Plenty of drinks around the pool area, and a great pool bar which opens at night .Entertainment low key with good bands . Food is varied, lots of local Greek foods, pasta and some meat dishes, surprisingly not much fish.Plenty of salad and fruit. I am not a wine connoisseur, but the wine from the self serve machine is awful, beer is ok and the a/I cocktails at the bar aren't too bad. There is also a rooftop bar.Staff are helpful and friendly, beach and room towels provided, room cleaned daily.Overall nice hotel.

"We recommend the galaxy hotel"
magdasR1100IE, 11 Septembre 2022

We recommend the galaxy hotel. This was our second visit to this place. Perfect hotel, right in the center of Laganas, clean rooms, very good food. Pools, garden very much like that. The service was very nice, especially the bartenders serving great drinks (thank you very much Daniela ❤️ you are the best, I hope we will meet you here next year). We plan to come back here for the next vacation in Zakynthos, necessarily to the galaxy hotel.

"Welcome surprise."
31ioannisp, 10 Septembre 2022

Was booked by ourselves direct to a seaside hotel to enjoy a week relax by the sea. We were surprised of the facilities and services provided by the hotel. We stay in a junior suite with a large space, room service was provided daily and the cleanliness was apparent. Large bathroom with all facilities in place. We have three points to state: a. Location by the seaside excellent. b. The smile of all hotel employees from the reception to waiters and room cleaners. c. Quality and quantity of foods, well prepared-warm-clean.

"One of the greatest hotels on the island!"
Explore08629218906, 04 Septembre 2022

Our stay was excellent. Great food, awesome hospitality with excellent management and staff. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to not only enjoy the island but also experience a memorable stay at a great hotel! Also it's very close to the center of the island, and so it's easy to visit different places very quickly and without wasting time!

"A perfect vacantion!"

Very nice place, excelent food, rich breakfast, clean and big rooms, kind and funny staff, and a very involved manager from morning until late at night. Very close to the beach. Very good beer at the beach bar! We were a big grup and the staff was very plasant. Thank you, we will be back !!!

"Amazing!"
Julie D, 17 Août 2022

Spent a week here with my husband, daughter, her partner and my 2 year old granddaughter and we all absolutely loved it! This hotel is fabulous for families - lots to do for our granddaughter who couldn't wait to get into the swimming pools every day and play on the play areas every evening. The beach is literally a stone's throw away and the sand is so soft; you can be on the beach in seconds. Evening entertainment was great too! Loved all the singers (granddaughter loved dancing to their songs). Now to the food. Something for everyone - beef, chicken, pork, salads, fish, vegetarian, pasta, Greek dishes, Italian dishes - all constantly topped up. Fantastic breakfast selection to suit all nationalities. Hotel staff were really friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean (we had a gorgeous view of the sea from our room). All-in-all I would highly recommend this hotel. Absolutely fantastic for families with young ones especially.

"Wonderful hotel"
RianneR84, 12 Août 2022

Honestly, I don't get the negative reviews. This hotel is close to perfect. We had a spacious hotel room with a separate room for our two daughters. The room was cleaned every day. The food was great, a different menu every day and the staff made sure there were always fresh batches of food. The staff was also very keen on cleaning up which contributed to the lack of wasps and flies. The swimming pool was nice and clean. The beach is also very close. The water had a nice temperature and as you can stand very far into the sea, is also safe for children. Although we really enjoyed our stay, we still have some suggestions to make this hotel even better: - Get rid of the plastic cups and packages. The amount of plastic used by this hotel doesn't fit in 2022. Considering Zakynthos is famous for its turtles and so many turtles choke on plastic, this hotel should be an example for the rest of the world and be plastic-free. - The towels on the sunbeds by the pool is a ridiculous concept and should be banned. We got by the pool many times to find a lot of sunbeds occupied by towels without their owners, which left us to sit on a chair by the pool bar. We also saw a family leaving around 13:00 o'clock, leaving their towels on the beds and never returning. All together I would recommend this hotel.

"Wonderful hotel, friendly service right on the beach"
Philip K, 05 Août 2022

We stayed end of July/ beginning of August 2022 (family with 2 kids 5,9). We arrived before the rooms were ready but were allowed to drop our luggage in the lobby and go for a swim. The rooms were ready after lunch and were quite nice. The staff were very accommodating. The food was great with a lot of different choices every day, even the kids found new favorites (although pizza and fries or pasta were almost always available as well). The location is great, right on the beach. The water is shallow for the first 100 yards or so which is great for the kids to play in and we jumped to the pool when they got bored of the sea. There was live music every night which was usually good. We also visited Turtle island which was a good tour with nice swimming and snorkeling.

"Beautifull beach front resort"
Przemysław M, 28 Juillet 2022

I spent amazing 7 night in the resort. Generally, everything was perfect and enough for me. Super location close to the sea.Quiet and calm, no aggressive music, even children were rather calm. I found variety of food, every day different dishes for lunch and dinned, everybody could find either fish, pasta or different kind of meat. Breakfast little bit boring - every day served the same food. For me for me I ran out of some fresh salads and the food was insufficiently seasoned.Pool bar - the most important place in the resort. Friendly, professional with excellent attitude towards guest bartenders. I don't forget discussion when I ordered beer or wine. I really enjoyed the evening shows. they were subdued, without loud music so It was possible to listen and discuss. And last thing - room - it was my only disappointment. Room was small, and there was a door inside to the new room. So I have to chance hear my neighbors without any problem. the lack of privacy was an inconvenience of some sort. But I have a very good discussion with Mr George - who is a manager, very professional manager - who explained me why I have such kind of room instead of many other different. Simply - that was probably the only kind of room offered by my tour operator. I am very grateful to Mr. George that he took time for a good discussion and listened to my opinion. And my advise, I think that the very nice lady who was a guest relation manager should be more among the people. I heard a lot of interesting opinion and observation of the hotel guests. And do solve a problem with the early reservation of pool sunbeds. Every morning when I do my running workout (about 7:00 am) most sunbeds were already reserved - but there were no people just towels. Generally speaking, perfect holiday in beautiful beach hotel with some remarks.

"Family vacay"

Beautiful resort on the beach. Close to town but quiet and peaceful. Very friendly reception and cleaning staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Buffet food was okay. A nice place for families with young children.

"An atmosphere i will never forget"
Fisletut, 24 Juillet 2022

I have only positive memories from my stay at this hotel. It had everything i needed. A comfy bed, great food, great service and an amazing atmoshpere. Especially at the bar. Everyone that worked there where always smiling wich made every day there a treat. To mention a couple of them wich i especially bonded with would be Spyros and Daniela. Spyros is probably the most charismatic guy i have ever met and every day he spread his positivity like no other. Same with Daniela wich also had a smile that brigthend up every day of my vecation there. I never drank my beer as quickly as i did whenever she worked her shift for the excuse to come back.

"Summer holiday"
180lenkan, 14 Juillet 2022

We spent 7 days in the hotel, beginning of July. The hotel needs some investment but everything serves its purpose so far. Two days the air conditioning at night did not work (35 degrees outside...) which was not really comfy. Food was fine, every day something else and usually wide choice. The greatest plus is the resort itself, suitable for guiet holiday (no mess and noise from the town and bars and taverns.

"Best vacation ever"
Sherpa772217, 03 Juillet 2022

I came this year again. My second time at this resort and there will be plenty more. Excellent customer service. Amazing food. The rooms are all modern and very clean. Every day i had clean towels and everything that i needed. Friendly staff. You always feel welcomed. Live music every night. I have two kids and they have a pool for kids, inflatables, playground. The perfect destination for a travel to Greece. Highly recommended.

"Dream vacation"

"Our holiday 3 in 1"
Nikousek, 29 Juin 2022

3 in 1 = holiday, wedding and honeymoon. The best holiday ever. Everything we dreamed came true for us. The hotel staff is great and professional, they arranged a wedding for us, exactly according to our ideas. There was not problem with my intolerances - gluten, lactose, soy. The staff and chef helped me with the choice of food for me. Thanks to the friendly approach, we will be happy to return to the resort with our little child.

"Wonderful holiday (and wedding) experience!"
Ondřej S, 29 Juin 2022

We chose Zakynthos island and Galaxy Beach Resort as a place for our beach wedding and it was such a great choice! Hotel offers wedding package which include room upgrade so we enjoyed better then standard double room. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Managers Nicoletta and George were very helpful. They helped us prepare and organize our special day which will stay in our memories forever. Afternoon swimming in the sea & in the evening married. Can't forget to mention very delicious food - it was great every day. Special dinner on our wedding day was the top! Basically it's a place I would like to return again in near future. Didn't have any bad experience and I would recommend this place to all my relatives and friends. Especially for the families with children it's fantastic. Galaxy, thank you for all of us and hopefully see you again!

"Really wonderful holiday"
luk_c511, 29 Juin 2022

We had a really wonderful holiday at the galaxy beach resort. I love the place, the green lawn, plenty of places to rest in the shade, a beautiful pool and children's pool and the sea is about 20 steps. We were most pleased with the nice and friendly staff and also the great food. For us, it was the most beautiful holiday we have ever had. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all again ❤️

"Amazing resort"
JHN77, 20 Juin 2022

Me and my family had an amazing holiday at Galaxy Beach Resort. Since we have arrived, George the manager is been very professional, kind and helpful for the entire stay. The resort is very well managed, clean and is located on the beach. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had entertainment (live music) every evening. I really do recommend this resort.

"Amazing stay"
M6103YGalicem, 20 Juin 2022

We have just returned from our holiday at the resort. We had an amazing stay. The hotel/resort is very clean, amazing facilities (paradise for kids!) with amazing food (fresh daily) and snacks available throughout the day. Staff have been very nice, polite and friendly. Would like to say a very special thank you to George (the hotel manager): he has been extremely kind, approachable and helpful; he has treated our little one with so much kindness (she is still asking for him and loved chatting to him). Thank you for an amazing stay!

"1st Time Holiday to Greece from 4/6/22 to 11/6/22"
Bluearmy1, 18 Juin 2022

From the time we went through the doors we fell in love with the hotel, our room was with a sea view and what a view it was,the pool is only yards away from the beach which is great as you have a choice of swimming areas. We cant speak highly of the staff as they all work long shifts, but are always cheerful and helpful and very polite as when your eating in the restaurant they always ask you if you have finished with your plates before removing them. Food was of a good quality with a themed night every night and the Chinese night was our favorite ,and as soon as the dishes were getting empty the staff replaced them straightaway, roof top bar was great in the evening and barman Kyriakos with his limited English always made us laugh every night. Manager George runs a very tight ship and cant speak highly of him or his staff, and we had a very pleasant stay and we are already planning on going back next year

"wonderful place!"
Z8473LEmateuszz, 17 Juin 2022

This place is wonderful! The people who work here are very nice and friendly. The rooms are very clean and cozy. The pools are clean and well placed. The kitchen is very tasty. It is a good place for a family vacation. We had a great time here! No fear, George is here! Thank you!

"Excellent experience and value for money"
rh422222, 16 Juin 2022

Galaxy Manager Mr George, is a unique professional whose ethos is supporting his customers and staff. The food is excellent, above and beyond - a range of Greek cuisine however also caters to a wide variety of pallets. Hotel is on the beach with a large swimming pool and is kept very clean, all staff are nonstop. When choosing a Zante hotel, especially in Laganas, be mindful of the potential large groups of young lads on holiday who can be loud and intoxicated. However Galaxy customers are majority families and couples. Mr George's dedication is clearly demonstrated with his colleagues and Ms Christiana, PR manager, whose character and personality is infectious: she makes everyone feel at home and will also passionately cater to any questions or concerns. Highly recommend and will definitely consider coming back.

"Location and service"
trevor2066, 25 Mai 2022

The hotel is set next to the beach. After being transferred from the Gardelli resort hotel, we weren't sure what to expect but lucky enough the hotel didn't disappoint us. A big shout out to Angela and her team in the restaurant for working so hard to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and going that extra mile which is a credit to her and the Galaxy Hotel. Kyriakos who works in the rooftop bar was very helpful too and kept us supplied with drinks. We did had a few problems with our room but the reception staff were so helpful and did their best to resolve the issues immediately. The hotel is very clean the garden and pool areas are kept tidy with staff always on hand. The only downside is that there were few guests (young adults) who are so inconsiderate to other guest specially at night making loud noises in the corridors, when they come back from the club's. The security needs to be improved and regular checks made.

"Beautiful location"
tracieb63, 22 Mai 2022

Stayed here 10th May till now, not hotel we had booked for as no longer here being rebuilt, was a bit apprehensive about going to another hotel as been going to same one for over 20 years, few hiccups to start of holiday, but as days went on everything improved and we were given a new room with no hesitation, the staff especially Sonia ( reception) chrysa ( public relations manager) Nokia ( bar manager ) yanis, restaurant manager all gone out of their way to help and are truly wonderful, rooms are lovely kept clean, theirs a mini bar but you are charged extra for this, food plenty of variety and improving day by day, roof top bar amazing the view unbelievable on the basis of this review we will be returning in September and May. Once again Thankyou you for making our holiday amazing, just one small point just needs a little more entertainment but everything else spot on Thankyou from us both Tracie & Steve bale

"Excellent "
davidsT4272HH, 18 Mai 2022

The menu provided by Yanis and delivered by Nikos and others is wide ranging and sumptuous. Christina and other waiters provide discreet, yet friendly service. George the manager overlooking everything with panache. For the money unbeatable value.

"Galaxy hotel - all welcome cats, dogs & 'refugees'"
colingregg, 29 Octobre 2021

Unfortunately this holiday went downhill the moment the hotel allowed the 'refugees' the same concessions as the paying guests! The hotel let the 'refugees' basically do what they wanted whilst not paying for a thing. In the dining hall they roamed free with no masks on and touching everything. The paying guests had to wear a mask and gloves! I would bet that they haven't had a covid test either! The other bad points were the amount of animals roaming the grounds. Leaving their excrement all over.

"The worst hotel"
596albenas, 12 Septembre 2021

I was at the Galaxy beach resort from 04.09 to 11.09.2021. This is the worst hotel I've ever been. The hotel in my opinion is max 3 * not 5 *. Only the beach is 5 *. Interior is old and cheap. Worn sheets and towels with holes. The food is monotonous and tasteless. The refrigerator in the room is empty. There is not even a bottle of water in the room. Bad Wifi. There was a constant noise of ventilation on the terrace. The staff is friendly, but this cannot compensate for the poor management. I would not recommend this hotel to

"Nothing special for this price "
natpopo26, 20 Octobre 2020

If you're looking for 5 stars hotel you'll be disappointed. As I said nothing specially for this price. I really don't think that COVID made big changes there, I think this hotel is just what it is. There are 3 different types of rooms. The worst are in the last building, they didn't fixed it so it's old. First we've got room like this but there were mold on doorpost so we had to change it because I have big allergy. And also there were doors where you can go to another room and closed just by latch. But for sure even if I hadn't allergy - that room standard was mistake. In main building (this building with reception) you've got nice rooms - but for sure not 5 stars ;) Food is the biggest disappointment. Everyday is the same - really the same. Especially on breakfast. We were bored with this food after 3 days. Of course because of COVID there isn't self service. Only staff can touch the plates and food, but it's normal. But also there are some positive sides. Staff was perfect, people are positive and happy even if they have more work because of Covid. Room service was every third day. There is nice beach near the hotel and very good music in hotel beach bar (in the hotel beach bar food was a mistake :) ) so you can chill all day by the pool or near bar with gooood music. For me really nothing special... little to expensive for that standard, that food and for sure to expensive for that rooms standard in last building. Big plus for staff :)

"Not a 5 Star more likely 3 star"
aphofisSK, 15 Septembre 2020

The hotel on itself is marked as a 5-star resort that it's not. I would define it more likely as 3 stars and that's more than good marking. On the arriving, there was not a great welcome from the receptionist. I know it's COVID time but to be nicer with a smile would be better on a welcome. We were there staying for 5 nights. The pros of this hotels are free parking alongside the hotel, beach in front of the hotel, location. The cons of this hotel as many reviews before are food, cleanliness, "all-inclusive". On the arrival, we were told that the rooms are not cleaned every day due to COVID but every third day of your stay. This hasn't happened. We have stayed during COVID time in other hotels in Greece where we can have the room to be cleaned every day. This doesn't apply to this hotel. Next, the food in the restaurant was below the quality of the school kitchen. The drinks are included in all-inclusive package but not coffee. If you want coffee which is drinkable you have to pay 3,5€! Otherwise, you can drink coffee from a coffee machine which is horrible. If you want sunbed and umbrella on the beach it's again for money (i think it was 7€ per person). I am traveling a lot but asking money for a sunbed in 5 stars hotel has never happened to me. You can put your stuff on the sunbed near the pool (which are for free) which is constantly full so no chance. The alcoholic drinks or cocktails in the all-inclusive package are the local ones. If you'd like to have original drinks you to pay again extra. I would say as a 5 stars resort the service should be really improved but I think there is so much to be improved it's actually not possible. We have paid for the stay 180€ per night per room what is I think enough money. And what we've got was literally 3-star service with the very limited all-inclusive package. If you'd like to stay somewhere in Zakynthos please avoid this place in case you want 5stars experience. This hotel doesn't give this experience and you will fill ripped off. Next time I'd like to go somwhere else.

"Not 5 star more like 3 star"
domt572, 21 Août 2020

All inclusive very poor. Served in plastic glasses unless you were paying, food ok but not great. Bar closed to AI guests at 11pm which was really bad as you couldn't even get a coffee. AI guest had to pay for chips during day. Very few sun beds. Maid service should of been every 3 days but our bathroom was not cleaned at all during our stay. Bathroom sinks leaked and flooded apartment which we reported but no one fixed, no tea or coffee facilities in room due to covid but you still couldn't get them at bar after 11 am unless you paid. No new towels unless we asked. I would not recommend this hotel it's no where near a 5 star complex. Dirty stink rubbish piled up near entrance. Save your money and go elsewhere. Mr Tabony Room 124 16-21 aug 2020.

"very good but..."
sakis1969, 17 Juillet 2020

A very nice hotel infront of the sea with all the amenities but no 5 star (4 is better). Our room was fine (family with 2 kids) with seperate room for kids and nice bath.Very clean (cleaning every day) and very helpfull and kindly staff from reception to everyone. Nice piscine and bar and good food for all inclusive. Also have a nice war museum. The only thing is that needs some details to be perfect

"Lovely hotel but room to improve "
896laurenw, 15 Décembre 2019

We stay at this hotel every year without fail, reception staff are friendly, rooms in the blocks are amazing, worth paying the extra! Only thing i can fault is the food, not enough choice for what was a 5 star hotel and seems like you have to pay for every little extra!! Restaurant by the pool should be included in all inclusive and the al carte by the beach and the war museum!!! Sunbeds on the grass verge by the beach you also have to pay for! However location of this hotel is amazing, not too near the strip so no noise, lovely restaurants on the beach not far from the hotel.

"Family holiday"
Phillys848, 22 Octobre 2019

Spent an amazing week here 14-21 October . Some facilities were not available due to the lateness in the season, but this did not spoil our holiday. Plenty of choice of food on the all inclusive at every meal. Rooms pleasant and clean. Pool area clean and pool bar well stocked. Staff all pleasant and helpful. Our Room 116 was on the first floor very clean and comfortable and had a balcony and air conditioning. The hotel is in an ideal location right on the beach, from garden bar to beach 50yds. On arrival there is a €4 per room per night residency charge and a €50 Deposit to pay. All in all an amazing week. See you next year

"Amazing beach view"
jaksif, 09 Octobre 2019

Hotel bars view is amazing. In the bar is coctails for free. Standart room is very small, very bad sound insulation, hears another roommate! it interferes to sleep. We don't give lunch box. Food not good about meat

"World Class Resort"
Matt B, 08 Octobre 2019

Wonderful world-class resort right next to the sea. Beautiful pool & beach. Rooms are very clean. I had 2 rooms facing the sea. They all have balconies. Breakfast & dinner buffet is wonderful. Love this place.

"STAYED AT BETTER 4* RATED HOTELS"
Mary B, 04 Octobre 2019

On arrival we were allocated a very small in area a quite dark room with the balcony facing another block of rooms directly opposite. We came to use the bathroom which had two sinks, on turning on the tap on one o them, and let the water run for sometime, only cold was coming out, it wasn't for sometime later the other sink came into use, and surprise, hot water came through, after investigation under the sink we found the one sink was only connected to the cold water supply. The food in the dining area was nicely presented, with lots of choices which varied daily, except for breakfast , sadly it was let down by some of the dishes not as hot as they should be,also some of the staff could do with being a little more friendly and not appear to look miserable. having said that they were efficient. The areas around the pool bar had lots of lovely different seats to sit in, but if you wanted sunbeds there are only about twenty around the pool plus a few deck chairs, but if you walked straight on the beach, there are hundreds of sunbeds, but you will get charged six euros per day for a twin set of beds plus the umbrella. The roof garden was a pleasure to go to, with lovely views over looking the area in the evening. The most impressive of our stay was the cleanliness and efficiency of the cleaning staff, which definately was 5* rating. The hotel was not quite ful, so there were plenty of places to sit and get dining room accommodation but I can only imagine how manic it could be given a full hotel

"Autumn break"
Dave_rogers530, 29 Septembre 2019

At very last minute we were relocated from Keri Village to this beautiful 5 star hotel with pool and spacious grounds and it's own section of sandy beach. Facilities, staff, pool area, food and drink all excellent. Highly recommended!!!!

"Lots of money for too litle"
carmengavrilas, 29 Septembre 2019

We pay for all inclusive 1 week stay at a 5 star hotel. Over 4000 euro. What we get there...? A maximum 3 upgrade star hotel that offers canteen subsintence food. All drinks and sweets where local. Ok of that... but i think they choose the cheepest one to give to the guests. My remembers of this holiday even after 1 year (aug. 2018) are not so good and belive me that we travel a lot and 4 or 5 star hotels are the rule.

"Not a UK 5 star"
jan27layzell, 27 Septembre 2019

We were due to stay at the Keri Village and Spa retreat but due to the forest fires we had to be relocated. The hotel entrance does not feel very welcoming and looks more like a 3 star that their 5. The room was large with 2 bedrooms and a nice large balcony bathroom was equiped with toiletries and hair dryer, which was very good. The food ,although there was not a huge amount of choice was very nice and we had no proplem with holiday tummy. I cannot say the same for the drinks, white wine was undrinkable, it tasked like nail varnish, Rose was a little better and the other half said Red wine was ok. However, the spirits were so watered down it didnt matter what you drank it all tasted the same, yuk ! I asked for Pina colada and it was served up yellow! When I asked if he was going to put any coconut liqour in, he said that was extra and not with the all in lnclusive.Staff where friendly and the maids changed towels and replenished toiletries daily, the beds are king size and very comfortable. The sea was warmer than the pool but this hotel is beach front and it's a nice and safe beach for families. There is a nice walk along the beach but you do get stopped often as they try and lure you into their bars etc. Lots of beach sellers as well but they are not to persistent. Management need to pay attention to the finer details of cleaning in the restaraunt, like cleaning the chairs!! Picture attached. Got fed up with crying toddlers and babies as we had previously booked adult only at Kerri Spa village, but they were not able to relocate us to another adult only hotel. Other than that it's a fairly good hotel.

"Not so all inclusive"
Cheesycrackers1, 26 Septembre 2019

We arrived at this hotel all inclusive. On arrival to the hotel we were bombarded with demands for money. There was no welcome or information provided about the hotel, just immediate requests for money. We were asked for a €50 for the room deposit which was not advertised when booking the holiday. They also wanted €20 to use the safe which we thought was a bit cheeky considering this hotel is advertised to be five stars. We were then presented with paperwork to fill out which asked for multiple personal details. We were asked to provide information such as our professions, Facebook and Instagram names. We thought this was a bit strange and when we questioned it no information was provided and reception staff were just rude and it seemed that we were annoying them by asking too many questions. We then got to the room, which was clean and had the basic necessities, however was tiny. There were three of us staying in this room and to say that we couldn't even fit our suitcases in the room is downplaying it. The shower was tiny and you could barely bend over to wash your legs in it! When arriving to the pool area we were disappointed with the size and availability of sun beds. On the website it appeared that the children's pool was separate from the adults pool and that the pool was in actual fact much bigger than it is. We decided to go and spend the afternoon on the beach which is right next to the hotel. Once sitting on the sun loungers on the beach we were immediately approached by a member of staff from the hotel asking for €6 each for the sunbeds. We thought this was ridiculous as the beach was attached to the hotel and we were all inclusive guests. They stated that they had to charge as the beach had nothing to do with the hotel- even though the people taking your money were employed by the hotel and had their uniform on! The all inclusive food choice is poor to say the least. There was a poor choice and food was either cold or we found that foods such as chicken were often undercooked. The cocktail menu was nice and varied however the soft drinks were rancid as was the wine. On the side of the bar there is a building labelled snack bar, which we assumed was the all inclusive snack bar, however we were informed that we would actually have to pay for this and the all inclusive snack bar was around the corner. This consisted of sweaty sandwiches in cling film and Luke warm chips. We were informed by another party that there was an al a Carte that we could book on our all inclusive. When we asked the first time if we could book this option at the reception the woman simply said “no it's closed” and that was it. When we asked again the man behind the reception was helpful and said it was because of the weather and that Thomas cook had folded that they had decided to close that restaurant. Overall, this hotel was not what we had expected or been sold from the website. It most definitely is not a five star hotel as is advertised all throughout the hotel and it felt as if all they were interested in was making more money out of tourists regardless of if they had paid for all inclusive or not. I would rate this hotel a 3 star.

"Galaxy beach hotel"
X9347WKkathyb, 23 Septembre 2019

Had a lovely week at this hotel. We were very happy that when we arrived we were upgraded to a larger room . The room was very clean, towels changed very regularly. The food was okay, lots of choice but I think if we were staying for another week I would have been fed up with it. The wine was awful in the restaurant and I would hope that they may consider changing it, and by other reviews I'm not the only person who feels this way. The pool side bar was good ,friendly staff but the roof top bar was better. Evening entertainment was a little lacking, not the quality I'm used to. The sun beds were uncomfortable around the pool and as usual some people got up early and reserved the best position around the pool then didn't use them till mid afternoon. This happened daily with a large group, very frustrating. Disappointed that you had to pay for sun beds on the beach especially if there were none left around the pool due to the selfish attitudes of others. The beach was lovely, sea very shallow a long way out. Overall a good holiday, would recommend this hotel but perhaps not in peak season.

9 of us decided to go to Laganas for the nightlife but also wanted the nice hotel for the all inclusive, the nicer rooms & the nicer pool etc etc. First arrived and was told we had to pay a €50 deposit on the room, we didn't know if this was because we were all lads but never the less we paid it anyway and were all refunded it with no issues the following week. Breakfast wasn't the best. Other than that the food was what you'd expect at dinner time and tea time, a variety of things to try over the week but pretty standard. Can't really complain. Pool was nice, deep and a big enough size for many people. The outside bar was ideal, although the man that worked there was very awkward to our group, only allowing us 1 drink at a time and being quite rude in general although he wasn't like that to any other group, and when a different worker was on they weren't like that to us either, so it was clear he was just being awkward to our group for no reason. Roof top bar was great, relaxed, comfier chairs & also free until 11pm. The man that worked on that bar was much different, nicer, very pleasant and fun to talk to as well, a great worker! The rooms were ok, the showers were very small and could've been bigger to make life easier whilst washing but again it's not the end of the world. The maids were brilliant, all throughout the day they'd pop in and check to see if towels needed swapping or beds needed making etc, it made life easier for us as we were in and out the sea and pool and liked to shower in the mornings after our nights out so the changing of towels were ideal. The all inclusive drinks had a nice variety.

"Ridiculously poor service "
SLeigh89, 16 Septembre 2019

We weren't guests at this hotel - and we sure weren't made to feel as such either . Stopped here in the morning for breakfast and to use their sun loungers on the beach. Breakfast was poor quality and the table area was covered in wasps which made for an unpleasant experience. When we went to the sun loungers even though we'd paid for breakfast and drinks we were asked to pay €6 to use them. Not a bad price but considering most places offer customers the use of them for free and we'd just spent €20, it seemed unnecessary. Later in the day we went to the bar for a cocktail. We both ordered a strawberry daiquiri for €8... a daiquiri is meant to be fresh fruit and run blended with ice into a sort of slush. The girl behind the bar filled a martini glass with ice and poured a shot of rum, a squeeze of strawberry syrup and soda over the top. We commented that this isn't how you make a daiquiri as it needs to be blended. She replied that she didn't have fruit or a blender so they make them like this. My other half commented that this was ridiculous for €8 and she simply shrugged. Wouldn't recommend. Much better service, and cocktails elsewhere.

"Beach holiday"
Jules_Leath, 15 Septembre 2019

We stayed for seven nights from 5 September. We arrived at 10.30am and greeted by friendly and helpful reception staff, who informed us of the room deposit and room tax etc, which we were already aware off. The hotel and our room were very clean. We did pay extra for a room upgrade and our room was great (VIP double, which was an extra £85), well worth the extra money, couldn't fault it and would recommend. The hotel grounds and beach are maintained to a high standard. It was our first all inclusive holiday and we did enjoy our stay at the Galaxy Beach Resort, as we just wanted a chilled and relaxed holiday. The food was OK, we cannot say it was great; but it wasn't bad either, just OK. I think it would benefit from more Gyros and hand held snacks at lunch times. The waiters were polite and friendly. I agree with other reviewer that the wine in the all inclusive package needs to changed, it was, to us, undrinkable. The poolside bar staff were cheerful and helpful. The beach is fantastic and the sea is clear, great for children. The young man (apologies not knowing name) who looks after the sun beds is excellent, very friendly and always has a smile. I would like to mention that we were at the hotel when the wedding took place (as previous review). We had no problem with noise etc from this wedding and our room overlooked the area, where the wedding was taking place. I would add that it was great to see a Greek wedding and the families enjoying themselves, there was no high noise level or any inconvenience to our holiday. We would recommend this hotel for families and couples looking for a good beach holiday. Thank you, we had a fantastic time.

very nice hotel great location right on the beach. Rooms on the small side for a hotel of this rating. Two observations one the drinks on offer on the all inclusive are not good the wine in the restaurant is poor needs to be upgraded. The drinks by the bar all come out of the same tap and if you have a cocktail it is just useless. When you arrive at the restaurant there is nobody there to take you to a table and this can be very difficult in busy times and I would think a problem for the hotel as anyone could eat there as no checks, never had that in any hotel. Having said that the staff which were very young were really good. The food was good with a reasonable variety. The beach is excellent and well cleaned. The hotel is spotlessly clean very good housekeeping.

"Most terrible hotel, interested in making money off weddings, doesn't care about its guests."
Kázmér J, 07 Septembre 2019

Reception: cold, callous, not helpful. Unexpected charges: 50 € deposit, safe extra, sunbeds 6 €/set, local tax (2€/ petson/ day). We thought we werepaying for an all-inclusive stay, turns out there are charges left-right-and center. Tiny bathroom, no shelf for toiletries ! Room faced the street with incredible & constant noise amplified by hotel's walls(echo). Private events hosted practically each evening with extra loud Greek music . No rest possible !! I hate it sooo much that i will post a warning on Facebook: if you choose to stay here, be prepared to not get any sleep at night !! When i complainedabout the loud music (at 0:45), they said sorry, we have a wedding ! Plus, had to make a fuss with housekeeping to wipe tables in the room & on terrace, wash glasses...!

"Sick holiday"
Mimka77, 04 Septembre 2019

We stayed there this summer for a week. The hotel absolutely does not correspond to the level 5 * max 3 *, we would rather say - good 2 *. The rooms small, noisy, because there was no good door and thin walls could hear everything in the rooms. Without any privacy. Bed linen and towels washed - gray, white was not like. The diet did not match the level of the 5 * hotel, All Inc. weak. At the pool bar, the waiter will not be able to grab beer or wine. Other drinks and coffee were only available from the vending machine and only with plastic cups. Personal unwilling to arrogant. Just the cleaners were nice. If you contacted the reception, nothing could be solved. On arrival they asked for a room guarantee of 50 euros per adult, who also withdrew from the bill and had to pay them, although we did not damage the room at all, also charged us from the bar and what we did not drink because we only took drinking water , which should be a 5 * hotel in the room included. The price is too high, absolutely does not correspond to the level and services of the hotel. The worst place we have ever been and we travel to the sea several times a year and also to exotic destinations.

"Very disappointing"
93meitall, 16 Août 2019

Stayed for a couple of nights with two small children Overall I was very dissatisfied The WiFi hardly worked in most areas of the hotel , even after complaining it didn't help Food is way way below average. Ate almost nothing (and we had the all included) Defiantly not 5 star!!!! We took a suite which was very big and comfortable Pool is nice Beach is lovely And good play areas for kids Still - not worth what we paid Not even half...

Raba748, 13 Août 2019

Nice hotel, friendly staff, small but nice room, good food for adults(not variety for children and no microwawe in the restaurant for heating baby milk). We liked snacks near the pool bar and great was popcorn and chips. Good is self service drinks. The biggest dissapointing was for me that that the hotel prepared nothing for my 40 birthday. I ordered in travel agency with reservation birthday cake. But I got nothing (for example birthday Card or small present). In another hotels with less stars we always got small present.

"Unpleasant Reception"
829lucianc, 24 Juillet 2019

Very disappointing for a 5* hotel, very expensive for the services they provide, wifi is not working most of the time, reception unpleasant and mischievous, if you are half board with 2 meals included you will be overcharges for drinks, they don't display the price by self services restaurant and after you take something they harassing you to pay, a very cheap beer 300ml is 3 euro.

"Great hotel on the beach "
Annefromryder, 04 Juillet 2019

Myself and 3 friends have just come home from a few days at this hotel. On first impression the lobby seems a tad drab. I think it was the colour. Check in was easy & quick. We were shown to our rooms , a ground floor. As soon as the door was opened there was a musky smell. Which may have been from the air conditioning. Our bathroom was very small. A shower cubical which was about 2 feet wide! I think we had a child's room as there was an interlocking door. Next door was my friends room. This didn't smell & had a much larger bathroom with a twin sink.the beds were very nice, comfy clean. Walking around the hotel the grounds are very well kept & everything seemed very clean. The pool bar had food & drinks throughout the day. Chips, ice cream, popcorn, rolls etc ideal for a snacking . Lovely children's pool & covered toy area . There is Seating facing the beautiful beach.. on the beach 2 beds & parasol for the day is €6 a day. The pool bar is close so you have no extra outlay for drinks & the staff are lovely and friendly yiannis is a credit to the hotel .so too is the other young men working there. The roof top bar is lovely in the evening and comfy & chilled here pantelis was very attentive. We had a meal in the grounds where you can have an a la Carte which is not advertised, but is included in your stay .. the young lady Mayra waited on us. We ordered the first 3 dishes which all were very nice. We choose to decide our main a bit later. But unfortunately Mayra didn't ask us & just cleared our plates then without saying anything bought out a dessert ! Luckily the other food was filling, but we were a tad disappointed we hadn't had the option to try the main dish. We didn't make a fuss as we could see Mayra seemed new and what we had eaten was very nice. The main eating area is very clean & the food was very nice & a great choice ever day. Here too the staff were all friendly. I wouldn't say this was a five star hotel. But a hotel that has high standards. Check out was smooth & out bags stored until we needed them later to go home ..

"Not Even A 3 Star Hotel"
Andrei A, 01 Juillet 2019

The Hotel is not a 5 star hotel is around 3 stars. The cleaning service inside the room is very poor. Outside also. The towels were grey color (initial color was white) The furniture inside the rooms is repainted(and very bad quality painting) The food variety is very poor and the food is not so good as pretended. At the All Inclusive Package they refurbish the food that is left for the next day or for the next meal. The Bathroom Cabin is very very very small. You should pay for the safe in camera 30E and also for sunbeds 6E/day. (It doesn't seems to be normal at an all inclusive package at a 5 stars hotel) The A La Carte restaurant has a very poor menu. The Gym is improvised in a room and is very small without possibilities of training and also you can't use it until 18.00 o clock because you can disturb the inhabitants of the hotel (but the personal is disturbing you by shouting and throwing things in the garden and the guy who is checking the minibar is coming to your room to check it between 16.00 - 17.00 o'clock). The wireless internet is not working properly. (that was reported to the reception but no action taken) The A/C was not working properly. The all inclusive drinks are undrinkable. (a lot of sugar concentration except the flat water) The good think is the playground for kids and the cleanliness in them. You have some nice animators who can watch your kids and play with them. There is a small pool for the kids with clean water. Every night there is a live interactive music program which is pretty good. Please don't respond with your corporate answer like we are glad we are sorry etc and take some action for improving. We are all full of excuses on our money and no promised services instead.

"Lovely place "
leeclaydon, 08 Juin 2019

Came for a short break away from the UK wet weather with friends. Lovely hotel with friendly staff in a peaceful part of the beech. A short stroll from the strip but far enough to be away if you want a bit of R&R. Good variety of food selected daily and a good selection of drinks provided within the all inclusive drinks menu. A nice selection of outdoor furniture to relax on within the hotels garden area and beech loungers available in the beach (for a small charge; which keeps the lounger towel hoggers at bay). Would recommend this hotel and intend to return at some point in the future.

"Very good experience with just a few suggestions"
Gosia M, 28 Octobre 2018

We have just returned form a week holiday in Galaxy Hotel and overall we were very happy. It is a great location, nice beach and good amenities. Very clean hotel, with towels changed twice a day which is fab as well as a room service lady coming in the evening to make sure that we are not lacking anything (toiletries, tea and coffee etc) it made the stay extra plesant. Staff was kind and very helpful. Unfortunately we were not able to visit roof top bar due to weather conditions. Food was tasty although there were not much change from day to day, we blamed it (truly or not) on the end of the season date of our stay. As much as overall we were very happy, I must say that we felt that it is more of a 4* rather than 5* hotel, it is lacking this extra mile to be truly 5* resort. For example we were surprised that sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach require a payment (first time we faced anything like it in a beach front hotel, so we gave it a miss), secondly sunbeds near the pool were somewhat uncomfortable and would benefit massively fom matresses on top which is not a lot to ask in 5* hotel. We stayed in superior room which had a fantastic view, but was rather on the small side, however I can understand that being on the small island space may be at the premium. Lastly, it would be really fab if the gym could be added to the amenities, it also feels like a common standard in 5*. Again, we had a nice time and my comments are not complaints at all, just suggestions what would make it truly 5* resort experience.

"Relaxing fun in the sun"
tommo7579, 16 Septembre 2018

Just returned from a lovely relaxing week and wish we were still there! Very clean hotel, great position and amazing food. Cleaners were brilliant- cleaned at least once a day then in the evening they knocked on the door to see if you needed anything else and towels were changed twice daily. They don't advertise the a la carte restaurant very well but definitely worth a visit. Book in reception. Set beachfront by the pool in a romantic corner with a 4 course multiple choice menu. Hotel is far enough from the strip to avoid noise but close enough for a walk. Overall a very nice place in a prime position would definitely go back!

"Disappointed!"
novmaz96, 11 Septembre 2018

Our overall experience at The Galaxy Hotel was mediocre. I wouldn't say this is a 5* Hotel unfortunately, the food was very average, and both me and my partner being vegetarians it was VERY hard to eat and enjoy each meal. We just had to basically fill up on carbs...for every meal, which resulted in feeling very bloated every day. The kids buffet was very minimalistic considering it's a ‘5 star hotel' I would of assumed there would have been a lot more than 2 dishes for them (one always being chips/wedges then the other being cheese pies or something of this kind) Even in the day time, the ‘snacks' weren't great too. I had a cheese and ‘lettuce' sandwich, which had the smallest bit of lettuce in it, which resulted in it even being a bit of lettuce that looked old and not fresh at all, with black bits on it and just looked soggy (see attached photos- both of two different sandwiches to prove it wasn't just a one off!) Also, our rooms bathroom was probably the smallest bathroom me and my partner have ever experienced on a holiday. We usually stay at 3\\4 star hotels but thought we would treat ourselves this holiday, but the room at the Galaxy Hotel was not justifiable for the price we paid. The shower was shockingly small, me being a female, I could just about fit, being a size 10!!!! My partner on the other hand is more well built then me, and he really struggled to fit in, it wasn't comfortable at all (see pictures attached, don't really do it much justice though!) Overall, it was a standard stay, but wouldn't go back in a hurry, with staff members also not having a high level of hospitality. Usually don't grumble on stuff like this, but when 5 star is plastered everywhere possible in their hotel, it really doesn't justify it and also the price! I wouldn't advice any vegetarians to stay here, nor kids who like anything other than chips!!!!

"A great hotel! Friendly Staff! Fabulous Beach !"
sheilacoh, 11 Septembre 2018

We spent 5 most enjoyable all-inclusive days, by the end of August, at Galaxy Beach Resort. From the parking lot outside the hotel- the beauty of this hotel is certainly unseen. Only once you get in its premises that you can see its loveliness and its proximity to the fabulous Laganas beach! We made a reservation for two family rooms, for us, for our daughter , her husband & our 3 grannies. As a matter of fact, we got two very spacious family rooms- larger than expected- with a double terrace in each one of them. The food was good, and satisfactory also for the vegetarians among us. The bar was good, though a few more snacks could be added. The hotel is very quiet, and the proximity to Lagans never bothered us. Whenever we wanted- we took a walk in bustling Laganas, and enjoyed the young atmosphere there. We also took rides to Zakynthos city and the beautiful villages around. At night, my daughter & spouse went up to the bar at the top of the hotel where they enjoyed the splendid view and the romantic atmosphere. The beach- was fabulous , no waves, serene and heavenly…The playground for our grannies is colorful and enjoyable. All throughout our stay- the hotel staff were extremely polite and friendly! Once we had some trouble with the shower hose pipe, and the maintenance man appeared in less than 5 minute and fixed it. Towels were abundant and exchanged daily. The rooms were clean and tidy .One more thing: Tips to the dining room staff may be given- out of your free will- in a little bowl on one of the tables. To us it was a good and refreshening idea – which ought to be followed in every hotel, I think. ! To sum up: We would certainly be glad to return to Galaxy Beach Resort !

"Very Very bad service, impolite attendence"
Henrique C, 05 Septembre 2018

We arrived today at the hotel, but due to a miscommunication our flight arrived much earlier than the check-in time and than the time we were expecting. So we asked to the receptionist to check the possibility of doing an early check in and that we could pay extra costs. Her feedback was very bad she was extremely impolite and never tried to really help, she only said that we should wait, without having any flexibility to help us. We were waiting for an answer and lying on the sofa, she came very nervous shouting "keep your feets down on the floor". We are very disappointed with the service and with this girl from the reception, this is not what we would expect from a hotel like this one.

"Pleasant stay ****"
Tudor C, 20 Août 2018

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Galaxy, is a nice hotel even if is not 5*. Clean and near to the beach. The waiters from the restaurant were not that professional, or really tired. Not in a single day, did they come to ask if we need anything. We didn't had all inclusive, and all the time we had to look and ask loudly to them in order to have some drinks from the menu. Same problem as in other reviews, with the unclear information about drinks allowed on full board and specially the breakfast. We liked the bar staff, cleaning ladies who came twice a day, with a big smile on their face, asking if we needed something. Food was great at dinner, breakfast same staffs everyday but fresh and tasty. We stayed in room 202, it had a great sea view and it is well seized for a couple. Very bad pressure to shower. Unfortunately you could hear everything through the doors, one night had to call reception because we were hearing the neighbors arguing at 1 AM, and they weren't in room next to us. We also had the “pleasure” to assist at a wedding in a Saturday night, we don't remember how much it lasted but one could hear the music in the room, we didn't had a good night sleep that night.

"Great hotel, terrible location"
Jamie P, 19 Août 2018

Firstly, this hotel is fabulous. Well maintained, clean and with great amenities. Our room was large and spacious with a great sized balcony. The only critique I would make of the hotel itself which is within their control is perhaps better communication with guests. Half board guests are not entitled to any alcohol during dinner, even though dinner itself is included. Instead of making this clear to guests on check in, it is up to the poor waiters to notify these guests after they have mistakenly filled a glass of beer and wine with their dinner. Not only did this happen to us and we were made to feel bad about it, but I saw the poor waiter approach many guests several times throughout our stay with the exact same problem. The problem is simple, if they had known earlier, the waiters embarrassment could have been avoided. Lastly, and this is definitely out of the hotels control, is that Laganas itself is disgusting. You cannot walk a metre on the beach without seeing half a dozen cigarette butts, the streets are filthy and littered with rubbish. The tourists are predominantly young Brits on their worst behaviour. The hotel itself doesn't attract that type of crowd, but it's hard to avoid them in Laganas in general. This is the only reason I would never return and I am sorry to the hotel because it is not a reflection on your offering. Perhaps consider opening another hotel in a nicer location such as Tsilivi? I'd also like to see the surrounding hotels come together to do something about Laganas in general. The place needs to be cleaned up because it's such a shame that such a beautiful part of the world has been destroyed. This location is your bread and butter, and the reason people visit - why not protect it and keep it in good condition? My heart was broken by the state of the place.

"Cat lover"
Helen b, 15 Août 2018

Nobody even though you had yre wristband on was allowed to sit on sand in front of hotel (by waters edge)If the hotel bosses were sitting on beach loungers they would tell the lad collecting the £ to remove anyone sat on beach This is not a private beach but caused a lot of friction for families with children and all their water toys. The hotel insisted you useTHEIR 6€ loungers although there was not enough for everyone. An awful way to treat people.

"Not really a 5 star hotel "
luciana_69, 13 Août 2018

The hotel is nice and clean but the room was too small and noisy even we have booked a superior room with see view. The personal from the receptin was not so professional and also some waiters in the restaurant were not so friendly. The food was good in general but take care with the drinks if you have just half bord. It was not clear if we have free water because to the reception to some of us they said we have free water and to other from us they said we have to buy any drink in the evening. So the informations ard not clear. The guys from the bar near the pool&beach were nice and friendly. The coffee and the fresh juices are good:) . But if you want peace and silance this is not the best choice! There is a perfect place for families with children.because there is a wonferful place for children and a nice sandy beach nearby.

"All in all pleasant stay in sipte of troubles"
Janossy T, 04 Août 2018

All in all it was a pleasant week in the hotel. However I have to mention some disappointing things, which should not have happened in a hotel stating to be five star resort. We stayed here enjoying the all inclusive status, but Imagine a place where the water running from the tap is dangerous to the health and is is clearly shown in all bathrooms. In spite of this no drinking water is provided in the rooms (except one bottle as welcome drink at the arrival) A 1,5 litre water costs 0,50- 0,60 EUR and failing to.place a bottle daily seems to be a rather fussy act. Do you consider it as an all inclusive scheme? We had problems with airconditoning, fixed after a while, Also there was no hot water availabe on a Saturday eveing for quite long time.

"Best Holiday We've Had!"
418margaret, 02 Août 2018

We recently visited this hotel with our two young children and my sister with her 21 year old daughter. And it catered for all our needs beautifully, the hotel is charming with lovely gardens overlooking a gorgeous view of the sea. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms were ideal and the food was very good. The entertainment was relaxing and enjoyable and we will definitely come again.

"We're loving it !"
Tinknmoo, 26 Juillet 2018

As I write this my hubby and i are five days into our two week stay, although this is our first visit it was highly recommended by a friend who's made many return visits,my reason for commenting today is I've seen quite a few slightly Negative reviews and while I understand everyone is entitled to their own opinion I do think a positive review would be helpful to anyone wishing to book here.Firstly on arrival from the uk we were warmly greeted at reception by Management and staff all amenities were mentioned and our luggage was taken into a side room as we were earlier than check in, our wristbands for the all inclusive package were provided and we were offered the pool side bar for drinks snacks etc,First impression of the Galaxy is a Modern well Maintained Extremely clean hotel lovely air conditioned reception with fresh chilled iced water on arrival,So up to the room which was a standard twin bed room extremely clean, hospitality tray also robes slippers etc, bathroom vanity items plus a fridge stocked with items to pay for which we didn't use ...although our water bottles and fruit went in!.The beds had modern linen and were extremely comfy, bathroom well maintained with shower hairdryer and white towels, blue for the beach!..Moving on to the food the Restaurant in our eyes is faultless many different food stations with a variety of delicious things to try plenty of fresh salads breads meats etc, well chilled drinks alcoholic and alcohol free,so after eating here for 5 days we both can't fault this lovely hotel from inside to outside the pool area and then of course the amazing beach €6 gets you 2 sun loungers and umbrella we reserve ours each night,..There is a lovely pool with kids area but we prefer the beach as ours are grown, this hotel is perfect for couples and families it's extremely quiet in the bedrooms as the air con enables you to close the balcony door, also like to comment that our maids daily service is great with extra towels daily We took advantage of the lift which is modern and can take you up to the rooftop terrace for a drink looking over laganas is a Beautiful place to Visit and the best bit to last is the beach is around 100 yards from the hotel literally at the bottom of the garden...a lovely place to Stay.....So don't overlook this hotel we love it.

"Disappointingly average"
Raluca D, 19 Juillet 2018

I think the 3 stars I'm giving the hotel are mostly related to the value for money it provides and to the fact that it could be great but for several compelling reasons it's not. I'll start with what we liked about the hotel: 1. Location – great beach with direct access from the hotel. The water is shallow for tens of meters, so it's great place to go with kids (we have a 3 years old) – it's safe to let them play in the sea and explore on their own, without clinging to them all the time. The sand is fine both on the beach and on the sea bottom and perfect for building castles. 2. Kids pool – medium-small but enough for the children that are in the hotel, it was never crowded 3. Relaxation garden – there is a large beautiful garden by the pool bar and next to the children's playground with grass, oleanders on the side and lots of loungers. It's unusable during the day as it has no shade (unless you want to sun bay) but it's very pleasant to spend time there in the evening 4. Children's playgrounds – there are two – a small one, next to the kids pool and a larger one, in the garden. The one in the garden is absolutely great, with lots of slides, play houses, tables and an inflatable play center, all kids loved it, it was full in the evenings. There are appropriate toys for all ages (1 to 11), so it's a real plus. 5. Some of the food – some of the food, especially around dinnertime, was really well cooked, we loved it, it was not blend as all-incisive food usually is but quite tasty. The accent however in on “some” and we particularly loved the potatoes in any form and the pork/beef that were baked in a tray with various vegetables, yummy. There were also sauces alongside some of the roasts that were good, I liked the one with pepper in particular, delicious. What we did not like: 1. We hated the room – it was a standard one, that's true, but it was the smallest hotel room we've ever been into. There was barely some space to move between the beds and the bathroom was minuscule. This is horrible when you have an energetic 3 year old with you. The shower cabin was 60x60 with a rounded corner and it's walls were broken, it was almost impossible to bend in there. We appreciated however that the mattresses in the beds were good ones and so were the pillows and the room was clean (mostly, just don't look under the wardrobe and you're good). 2. The outside noise in the nights – not the hotel's fault but you can't sleep with the window open as people are getting drunk and screaming terribly in the street. There is air conditioning but with a small kid, recovering from a cold, it was not an option for us in the nights, so the room got terribly hot and the sleep quality was poor for everyone. 3. All-inclusive completely not worth the money – the breakfast and lunch food variety is quite poor, especially at lunch there were days when it was extremely difficult to find something suitable (except self-made salad, fruits and potatoes, but that's not why you pay for all inclusive). Soups are horrible – all of them, tasted quite a few unfortunately, chemical-based it seems, the kids buffet is a joke, only junk food and the deserts are also horrible except for ice cream, which for some reason is extremely sweet, but good (replaced deserts with fruits and honey yogurt, those were good). You cannot get an expresso, you have to pay for it at the bar and the machine coffee included in the all-inclusive is horrendous. The white wine is horrible but I found the rose decent. The cocktails included are extra-sweet syrups that personally I could not drink. 4. Ladies at the receptions are quite rude by my standards; the only exception was the one who helped us check in. However, nobody presented to us the hotel and the facilities, restaurant program, etc (and there is no card in the room to explain either). There was no “good bye, hope you had a nice stay” when we left – not even a plain “good bye”. My only question was related to changing the beach towels and the receptionist was just unable to understand why I find it troubling that she suggests leaving them on the floor in the room in the morning when in fact I need them to go the beach daily…no comment. 5. Evening entertainment was either missing or poor quality – with two exceptions in 1 week and there is nothing for kids. 6. No more loungers available by the pool after 9 o'clock in the morning – so you either wake up early to go put a towel on one or pay for loungers on the beach (the no-reservation policy is a joke). Overall our vacation was quite good, but it was mostly due to the location and the good whether then to the efforts of the hotel. Would we go back? Probably not because it offers low services value for the money paid, but if we would, then not with all-inclusive and definitely in another kind of room.

"Good location, great beach, terrible food"

The hotel was clean, we've booked a superior suite and was very spacious. The beach and the water were nice, too. The pool was small. Although we've bought all inclusive, the sunbeds and umbrellas wasn't included, the safe was also by charge. The meals were really horrible! Meat scarce, we were served chicken wings and liver, the same soups every day, made of dehydrated vegetables, lot of salt and grease, mashed potatoes made by flakes, almost the same cakes every day, everything was low quality. The drinks at the bar were acceptable, but after 11 pm they were by charge. The entertainment was practically inexistent. This is not a 5 stars hotel!

"Basic"
nikk600, 13 Juillet 2018

We stayed here as a group made of 4 couples. Ages ranging from 20-45. At first we pulled outside the hotel and thought something had been mixed up as it looked nothing like the brochure. We then had a bad attitude from reception as one couple had paid for a deluxe suite and were given a basic room- the staff were reluctant to fix their mistake. That being said the rooms were all clean and the hotel is spotless but the rooms are small and not like they are made to look in the brochure. The most annoying and disappointing thing with the stay is the food. There is very basic and very little choice. The food also was not very consistent: the hotel would put the bare minimum food out at one time and took forever to refil the empty stations. That being said there is chips, ice cream and sandwiches pretty much available all day but meal times are not great. There is also no service In the restaurant. It may be that we usually stay at a sentido hotel where they serve you with water etc at meal times and have a very good standard of food and selection but for the money we paid here we are over all very disappointed. A sentido is similar price and everything about it is better. We would have chosen a sentido but they are not available in that area and this is apparently the closest you can get to it. The hotel location is great and as mentioned it is clean and convenient but we would not go back there with how rubbish the restaurant is.

Nice hotel, rooms ok, bathroom very small. Shower cubicle was very small it was difficult to turn around in it. Clean hotel but the all inclusive food not very good. Seemed like leftovers were used Regularly for the next days meals. Not alot of choice at all. Been to Zante a few times now and never been to a hotel with such miserable staff. We couldn't even get free sunbeds on the beach even with the amount of money we paid each. Will not go again.

"Not 5 stars"
Tiriboi C, 26 Juin 2018

the hotel is not 5 stars, it gives it a maximum of 3 stars because it is small, the dining room is small and not all people eat, the sunbeds pay 3 euro per day per person, the coffee at the bar is paid, the food is not too diversified, the resort is not so clean ... too little at what I paid, ie stay 6 nights 7 days 1300 euros without transport. I was in Turkey and with 700 euro stay much better conditions. I do not come to Greece ever very disappointed.

"Lovely hotel in lovely resort"
DanielleW92, 18 Juin 2018

I have recently returned from my trip here. I travelled with my boyfriend and we are mid 20s. We wanted a nice hotel so we splashed out a little more to stay here and also upgraded to a superior sea view for that extra bit of luxury. We decided to stay in Zante as it offered us the opportunity to go out and have some drinks on the strip if we decided to, but also gave us the luxury of a nice hotel and beach if we wanted to keep away from the loud party scene. On arrival the hotel doesn't scream luxury as its on a run down road, however inside you can see the grounds are well kept and it is very lovely. Although a lovely hotel the main negative is the people at Reception. To list just a few of the issues: - I was unimpressed with our first experience at the Reception desk at check in. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, yet the guy behind the desk places a piece of paper in front of me asking me to fill in all these details, including my name, D.O.B, passport details, email address, home address, occupation, mobile number, the day I check in and check out (surely that's their job) & more, and then I had to repeat the process with all my boyfriends details...I have NEVER had to do that before. - We also had to pay a 4 euro a night tourist tax which was 28 euros over 7 nights, and a 50 euro deposit. Please make sure you keep hold of the receipts they give you to get your 50 euro deposit back. On check out even though she had their copy of my 50 euro deposit, she wanted my copy they had given me to give me the money back, this meant watching us un-padlock our suitcases and rummage through our luggage to find the matching piece of paper they had in their hands...pointless. - The reception don't give you any information on meal times or the extras such as the Galaxy Bistro which you are allowed to use once during your stay if you are all inclusive, you will need to find this information yourself which is dotted around the hotel. They do not inform you about the 11.00pm finish time of the all inclusive either. A couple of days into our stay we noticed the Galaxy Bistro at the seafront and only by checking Trip Advisor did I find out about it, so we went to reception to book, she told us she had booked us in for the next day and to come back tomorrow to find out what time we were booked in for? So the next day we went to find out our meal time and we weren't even booked in for that night she had booked us in for the day after that. Bugging! We did explain we were told we were booked in for the Thursday night however they said they couldn't fit us in now as they were fully booked - funnily enough we did walk past the Bistro that night to see the fully booked restaurant full of 2 whole people! We didn't know what food we were even getting at this Bistro but the day after we found a board in reception which actually had the Bistro menu on it. This was our last night and we decided to cancel the dinner as it wasn't much to our taste. - To find out your transfer pick up time you will be pointed to the list of folders in reception where you need to find your travel agents and scroll through to find the correct pick up time. So don't ask reception as they wont help. Also we asked where our pick up point was, as in, could we sit in reception and wait for the driver to collect us, or do we need to wait outside the hotel itself where there is no seating or shelter for 40 minutes. The receptionist told us to go outside which wasn't really great considering it was absolutely peeing it down. We found out during our transfer that the driver does actually go into the hotel to collect people so my advice would just be to stay inside and wait, not wait outside in the rain like we were advised to. - We also paid for a superior sea view room, these had full frontal sea views, however we were not placed in the room we paid for. We were placed in an executive room with a side sea view. Although it was a lovely room it wasn't what we paid for and I am going to get money back for the difference we paid as the hotel room we were placed in was the cheaper option on our tour operators website. I did query this with reception, all I got in response was 'yes you can see the sea.' - You will find the reception have quite poor English and I think that was probably what caused the biggest problem and why our experience of reception wasn't great. My boyfriend lost his phone one day and asked at reception if it had been handed in, even pointing at my phone trying to explain what we were talking about the receptionist just looked baffled. It didn't help in an already stressful situation. Now onto the positives. The hotel is actually lovely, and I would 100% upgrade to a sea view if I was staying here again. A lot of the standard rooms have a view of another balcony directly opposite them, where as we had a lovely open view of the complex and the sea and the cost of the upgrade isn't much money, but most definitely worth it. The food was really good, although not a massive amount of choice and a little repetitive I really enjoyed the food. Lots of nice pasta and cheesy dishes which were great. I also enjoyed the desserts most of the time, especially the mousses they were very yummy. The seating area was nice although they need better air con in there...if any! I often found myself really hot in there and its open to the pool so I don't even know if they have air con on. There was plenty of places to sit although near the end of the week it started to get busier. We also had 3 occasions where our tables and drinks were cleared whilst we were up getting another course. Once I would accept this but 3 times was a bit annoying, especially when we had full drinks on the table. The drinks were fine, although the cola was gross. The cocktails also nice. They had snacks around the pool and also a snack bar with burgers etc although I don't actually know if this was included in the all inclusive as I hadn't asked, but you needed to order these at the bar to be cooked fresh. The pool was really nice and clean, its not huge but we never struggled for sunbeds, its not an overly busy hotel which is what I liked about it the most, it had a very chilled vibe. There was a really nice play area for children and a separate childrens pool. The seating by the beach was lovely with great views and it was never a problem getting a seat. We never used the beach sunbeds but they came with a charge of 6 euros a day. The beach outside the resort it lovely and the water so clear and warm. Our room was lovely with a king bed, huge balcony and a great fridge which kept our drinks ice cold. We didn't use the mini bar as it was chargeable but we put our own stuff in the fridge which was fine. There is also a TV in the room but I found 1 English channel out of 45 channels so we never used it. We had a really big bathroom with 2 sinks and lots of amenities are given to you including a shaving kit, toothbrush, sewing kit, vanity kit etc, you also get dressing gowns and slippers. It was cleaned daily and we were really happy with our room - other than it not being the one we paid for. I think the hotel could do with air con in its communal areas, or if they have it make the rooms cooler, especially reception and corridors outside of the rooms as these are often very warm. On our last day I just wanted to sit somewhere cool but I couldn't find anywhere and we couldn't go back to our room as we had to check out so I spent most of the day sweating in my clothes that I had to wear home which wasn't great. The hotel itself is very close to the strip but far enough away to not be bothered by it, it was great for us though if we wanted a night out. As I said, my main negative is the Receptionists at the hotel, other than that we did have a lovely time and I would recommend this hotel and would consider staying here again if we were to come back to Zante.

"Great quality "
CCccfamily, 17 Juin 2018

We actually stayed at the Zante park hotel and as they are linked we were able to use all facilities at the galaxy too. Great food, good selection, fresh fruit and salads. Pasta was really good. Drinks was nice and cool in the summer sun!

"An above average hotel in a nice resort."
simickle, 30 Mai 2018

We had a family holiday at the end of May with our young son. The hotel is a short trip from the airport in Zakynthos and the very skilled coach drivers managed to navigate the very narrow streets in part of the resort. On arrival the staff were friendly and professional. We were asked to pay a 28 euro room tax for our 7 night stay which was a surprise. We were all inclusive and had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant every day, usually choosing to snack around the pool for lunch. The amenities are good, the access to the beach is excellent and generally the staff are professional and helpful. (The exception being one of the pool/beach staff who rarely smiled and was quite happy to let you wait at the bar while he did something else.) We went out of season so it was nice and quiet, I'd hope they have more staff for when it's busy! There's a main pool, a kid's pool which our son loved and in the evening there are some toys and a small bouncy castle for entertaining the children in a "chill out" area. There wasn't much entertainment or any sign of a kids' club but we were out of season so that may change in the summer months. They had what looked like a lovely terrace bar but it wasn't open during our stay which seemed a real shame. The rooms are quite small but we didn't spend much time in there, the shower was tiny so if you're a big person you may struggle. I recommend going on at least one boat trip during your stay, the shipwreck cove being a sight worth seeing.

"Relaxing break away"
paul m, 30 Mai 2018

Stayed at the Galaxy as a couple for a relaxing break for 7 days what a great hotel the rooms were very clean with the cleaners visiting a couple of times a day to empty the bathroom waste bin. The pool area and gardens are great for soaking up the sun with direct access to the beach with plenty of tables and chairs overlooking the beach ideal to people watch and relax. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent in the resteraunt with a good choice every night and it didnt feel like a canteen as some all inclusive resterants can we ate most nights outside under the verander a bar at the top of the hotel opens in the evening with great views over the bay and comfy relaxing sofas we spent most evening there A 10 minute walk along the beach and you are in Laganas which to be fair is not our cup of tea as we found it a bit grotty but it is early in the season plenty of bars and resteraunts along the beach front for a meal or beer on the way. The only criticism we have is noise from the room next door we had an executive room with interconecting door which provided very little sound insulation when next door were in the bathroom ! I would also like to say that the standard of daytime snacks by the pool were very poor not up to the usual standard we have had at other hotels in this price range these were mainly sandwiches or rolls with very little filling no fresh fruit e.t.c a simple thing that could be improved for very little cost. We stayed as a couple as our children are all 17 + But there was a great children's pool and several play areas they even had a bouncy castle in one but as far as I could see no kids club. On the whole this is a great friendly clean hotel ideal for a relaxing break for couples or family's with young children not a great deal to keep the teenagers occupied other than the pool tables and ping pong table. Keep up the good work Galaxy make a few improvements and you will have a top hotel And thank you for making our stay relaxing and enjoyable !

"Late change to this hotel"
John_w_92203, 29 Mai 2018

We originally booked with Jet2 to stay at the Zante Sun Hotel, however due to overrunning building works we were placed at the Galaxy. I was initially very skeptical about staying in/near Laganas. The hotel itself seems either quite new or renovated recently. The rooms are fine and adequate but the doors seem to allow a lot of noise in, especially interconnecting room doors. The all inclusive food is again fine. But in the second week started to remind me of school dinners! My advice is get out into the community and enjoy some lunches & dinners at Tavernas, you won't be disappointed. The cleaning of rooms and hotel is outstanding. All in all an excellent stay.

"My stay at Galaxy Hotel"
kaaayysss, 23 Mai 2018

I booked Galaxy Hotel to celebrate my 20th birthday with my partner, we stayed from the 17th-23rd May 2018. On arrival I was extremely happy with the hotel, it's directly on the beach and close to lots of activities and the main strip. We was requested to pay a room tax fee for each night at the property, along with a 50 euro deposit. We chose half board which entitled us to breakfast and dinner, dinner was lovely and a wide variety however the breakfast was very simple and bland. It all started going wrong after the second night, we had to request for the housekeeper multiple times throughout our stay, the light in our bathroom blew and took a while to be replaced, however THE WORST TWO parts of our stay was followed... an item of clothing had been taken from our room, we searched everywhere before making a complaint, each day we asked if this item had been found/ask the staff if they have seen it as it was last on the bed before housekeeping however the linen was never changed, just bed was made when they eventually arrived. We chased this up daily for three days, and being our final day we did not receive a response, just said they will ask the housekeeper/laundry room, we had to practically beg the staff to look for our stolen item. This bad enough, alongside the staff looking at us as if we was crazy, it gets worse we received multiple problems with the electric giving us shocks, on our last night the socket and my charger along with my phone exploded, an expensive new iPhone may I add, they showed no remorse including the manager who tried to blame it on their voltage being 200 (even though my charger can take up to 240 and have NEVER had a problem) he took no blame in this even arrived at 9am knowing our taxi to take us to the airport was arriving shortly, the staff avoided this at all costs, the housekeeper even had to restart the whole electrics, I am surprised the room did not catch alight by the state of my charger and phone. Absolutely disgraceful.

"Lovely hotel"
dawndean68, 14 Mai 2018

"A lovely place"
Sezi_kirbz, 07 Mai 2018

We ended up at Galaxy by chance when our tour operator switched us with 48hrs notice due to building works at our original hotel. What a stroke of luck as Galaxy is wonderful. Such a wide variety of foods in the all inclusive packages, different dishes at every meal with some staples like chips/fries, pasta, salads and cheeses. The main/meat dishes were often on a theme - Ionian, Chinese, international night, and it was all delicious. 4 large food serving counters with various dishes including deserts. There were also basic sandwiches, biscuits & icecream in the bar by the pool from around 10/11am daily along with a soft drink dispenser, coffee & tea machine so you can always have a drink and snack outside of the meal times. There is a well stocked bar with friendly & helpful staff outside by the pools. There were about 6 cocktails included in the all inclusive package plus beer, wine, most spirits and liqueurs, and if that wasn't enough there were options to buy other things like prosecco or fancier cocktails. The children's pool has a cute & fun slide in it & my daughter spent nearly all day every day in there. The adult pool was large enough to accodate many guests. There is a large beach front with tables and palm umbrellas, sun loungers on the beach, ample cabana style seating sets in the garden & two cool hildren's play areas with all the usual plastic types of toys like slides, see-saws etc. We from 28th April so still pretty quiet. Laganas is the party place so during the peak summer it may be noisier but it was fine when we were there. All staff we encountered were polite & friendly & helpful. Housekeeping visits often, probably due to the “no toilet paper down the toilet” rule in Greece. They empty the bins multiple times a day, even into the evening so don't forget your “do not disturb” sign if you want some private time. Our room was a family suite with a double bed in one room & bunk beds in another. Large bathroom with tub and separate walk in shower. One tiny negative was that neither adult found the bed comfortable. It was very hard. All in all this was probably one of the nicest hotels on the island, right on the beach, a convenience store 2 minutes away, loads of fast food options around if you're not all inclusive, loads of rental places for various modes of transport such as mopeds or quad bikes. Great location. I loved the hotel & would definitely go back.

"Why did I bother"
Ashley C, 07 Mai 2018

Am currently staying at the galaxy hotel and I'm very disappointed. I came up to my room. No bedding or towels changed then after a few hours I have a made bed except half the bedding wasn't on such as missing pillow cases and just bedding thrown on a shelf like they couldn't be bothered. I would have thought it we only a 2 star hotel by its location and the way staff are here...

"Great stay at Galaxy in Zakynthos"
Alex35, 31 Janvier 2018

We stayed with family (3 adults, 1 child) at hotel Galaxy. The hotel was refurbished not so long time ago, so it is in good conditions - one of the best choices in Laganas. The hotel grounds are not so big, so it is definitely not a resort, rather a decent hotel. It is located right at the beach, away from party zone and day clubs (some nearby hotels were very close to the all day party with big noise). The beach was excellent - very clear and warm water, with soft sand - one of best beaches especially with a child. Pool and pool area were good, with sunbeds around. Room was spacious and big - we stayed in family suite. Food was plentiful and quite good, nothing to complain about. All inclusive plan is also worthy. There is playground for kids, animations and kids pool. Few steps from the hotel there is a convenience store to buy water or whatever you need. We had a good stay and a reasonable price in a good hotel. Would not go to Laganas again (party capital), but once you go there Galaxy is a good choice.

"Excellent Stay - Very Satisfied"
SpiroAr, 29 Novembre 2017

Very satisfied & impressed with this hotel. Great location as this hotel is located on the beach. The property was very well maintained and the grounds well-groomed. Staff was always courteous, helpful and professional. Suites were spacious and stocked with every amenity needed, they even had a scale in the bathroom. Excellent WiFi throughout the whole property even on the beach. Buffet breakfast had every choice of fresh food. Will definitely return.

"Not the best of holidays"
Clare G, 01 Novembre 2017

Stayed here in October half term week. I was looking forward to my holiday with my 2 children. I just want to say that in zante everything is closed there was not one shop open. Couldn't go on any trips wasn't running. It turns out that zante closes around the end of September. I wish Thomas cook told me that ,as I would have gone somewhere else. The hotel was clean. Room was ok the beds are hard though. The food was awful not much choice. Kids meal was pasta every day . Outside the hotel there was dead rats in the road ,lots of rubbish everywhere. It's a shame the the island is like that. I would go back but not in October.

"Not quite as it seems"
Keith J, 26 Octobre 2017

My wife and I stayed at the Galaxy in mid October, I had to leave a deposit on my Credit Card on arrival for any hotel damage. e paid extra for a superior suite with a sea view and to be honest this is exactly what we had. First days ecperience was very good and we were happy with the Hotel. The restaurant staff were hot and miss, some quite rude some happy to help, the poolside evening Barman was excellent and always served with a smile on his face. The daytime barman was totally opposite and was just plain ignorant and i dont think a customer facing role should be his job. We ran out of little things like tea in the room and they were never replaced alongside milk for said tea, we literally had to take it from the restaurant which was frowned upon. When all inclusive is not all inclusive? there was a Barista machine at the pool bar but if we wanted a nice coffee then we had to pay for it and the alternative was a cheap coffee machine which was never cleaned and always running out of milk or even coffee, if we asked someone to top it up then it as like Armageddon . The sun loungers on the beach were chargeable at 6 euro each per day , 10 days = 120 euros yet every bar along the beach offered free loungers and cheap nicer beer. The food became boring after a few days and not very warm. Boiled eggs for breakfast? not a problem until you want to put the egg in an egg cup, the hotel does not have 1 egg cup so i had to improvise by laying the egg on tissues. Cats roamed the restaurant scrounging for food. They ran out of soft drinks from the dispenser daily. Would i go back? maybe, would i go all inclusive? not a chance. Not a 5 star hotel in my opinion.

"Fantastic hotel cannot fault it"
EMA037, 21 Octobre 2017

We arrived here on Monday 16th October. The hotel is gorgeous. The reception is lovely bright and airy. The lady at check in (Evie) was extremely kind and helpful. All staff are polite and friendly. The rooms are excellent and very clean. We stayed in the main building on the third floor. There are lifts if you need to use those to get to your room. Towels are changed twice a day if needed which is brilliant. You also get pool towels in your room to use and again these are changed twice a day if needed. Bedding again can be changed on request. Food is amazing and the choice is huge. Lots of starters, mains and desserts. So far we haven't seen many doubters! A few things to note, 50 euro desposit is required on arrival and the safe is 20 euros per week. It uses a key so you need to carry that around with you. If you want to use the sun beds on the beach they are 6 euros for 2 beds. We used the loungers just up from the beach. These were free. Lots of loungers, beds, seats around at this time of year. Not sure how busy it is in the summer months though. Pool was cold so we didn't venture in, but it is pretty big and there is a small kids section too. Hotel at this time of year has been quiet which suits us. Resort is pretty much closed up at this time of year so it looks a bit run down. We have mostly stayed at the hotel anyway. There are a couple of shops with the essentials nearby. Rooms have a mini fridge which are stocked if you want to use the minibar items. Drinks on all inclusive are beer, wine, spirits and some cocktails. All good and there are soft drinks a plenty too. Snacks at the bar and ice cream too. Definitely more than enough food! All in all we have thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would return so I guess you can't get much better than that! Oh and wifi was superb! Works everywhere around the hotel and its included in the price. Transfer time from airport with two stop offs was 15 minutes.

"when is all inclusive not all inclusive"
guernseyandy, 18 Octobre 2017

Good Points spotlessly clean great location nice pool lovely modern rooms towels replaced twice a day good free internet Bad Points rude/surly manager/bar and reception staff had to pay for safe/sun beds/slush/bottles of water food , poor choice. especially for kids and luke warm stayed here with my 11 year old daughter for her first holiday, the hotel and grounds are spotlessly clean, rooms cleaned daily and towels changed twice a day. Lovely pool area with chilled out music played over sound system, plenty of sunbeds by the pool but if you want to use them by the beach you have to pay 6 euros. We upgraded to the superier sea view room, very spacious , nice view, toiletries and bathrobes included. Nice big bath but when i asked for a plug from the manager i was shouted at that i had not come on holiday to use the bath but use the shower instead ! Most other guests were Dutch and German and myself and other Brits noticed they got better treatment and better service. A lot of the staff were surly and bordering on rude. The food seems to be an ongoing issue by looking at other reviews . The childrens corner was chips and pasta every night. The adult selection was ok but luke warm. The Laganas beach is the best on the island and ideal for kids with a slowly sloping sandy beach. I went last week and the whole resort was winding down and very quiet. Apparantly it is very different in the summer months. As we were checking out they tried to charge ourselves and other couples for drinks taken out of the mini bar from the rooms which they seemed to make up. All in all a nice hotel in a great location and most of all my daughter loved the pool and beach. Would i come again...yes but would hope management read these reviews and act upon the negative comments in particular the staff and food.......

"Great, relaxing week in Laganas."
N M, 07 Octobre 2017

We visited for 7 nights on an all inclusive basis with a sea view room. Booked through on the beach with a transfer from the airport. The hotel is actually no more than 15 mins drive so would recommend a taxi. The entrance to the hotel isn't that appealing but once inside it's well maintained, clean and attractive. You do need to leave a room deposit of 50euros but previous reviews had warned us of that so it want a surprise. Staff were efficient, though not super friendly..perhaps weary after a busy season. Our room was nice...big bathroom with 2 showers, double sink, toiletries, towels and beach towels. A double bed rather then 2 singles would have been nicer but there want an option to specify at time of booking. Balcony with table and chairs, and that all important sea view. The hotel is located right in the beach in a quieter end of the strip but within walking distance of town and the harbour. Indoor bat, pool bar, roof top bar and a large dining area. The pool isn't huge and there are definitely not enough sun loungers for the hotel capacity but we were late in the season so it want a problem as the hotel was quiet. There are also shaded seats on a well kept grass area as an option to sunbathe. The beach is lovely. Calm waters, fine sand, and plenty of loungers for the guests...6 Euros for 2 with an umbrella. Some guests complained at having to pay, but again...we knew this in advance so it want a surprise. The thing I would say let the hotel down slightly was the food...plenty of choice each day but really, none of the hot food selections were ever actually hot...sometimes not even warm...maybe some better heat lamps needed....this really let the meal times down. We did a boat trip to a nearby island to see some caves. Would recommend this...but get the smaller boat as this actually takes you into the caves as opposed to just next to them. Walked over to cameo island...was 5euros that included a drink, and wouldn't say it was really worth it. All in all, this was a great hotel, in a fantastic location, and would recommend for couples or travellers looking for a nice relaxing atmosphere in 4* surroundings. Stayed end of September....so naturally cannot comment on the hotel during peak summer season....

"Scorching Shower."
bevkay2017, 05 Octobre 2017

I always try to start with a positive attitude, but the shower in our room 210 was dangerous , one minute it was scorching hot & the next freezing cold. This was reported to reception on many occasions, we also asked for a different room & was told the hotel was full, this I know was not correct as I asked another member of staff if it was full. Looking on Trip adviser this has already been reported at least twice before. Until someone is injured the management won't do anything, as I requested to speak to them. The Galaxy Hotel is in a excellent location just off the beach. Very clean hotel. towels changed daily. Food for all tastes, it's a shame that all inclusive are treated differently to the ones that are not & are paying for coffee & drinks. If you purchase a coffee you had cup & saucer, all inclusive had paper cups. If you purchased drinks you had a bowl of nibbles eg nuts. All inclusive had all the cheep drinks & water out the vending machine, you had to buy bottle water. It is not 4 star hotel.

"Concerned before we came about bad reviews"
bermuda93, 05 Octobre 2017

My sister and I came to stay at the hotel with foreboding after reading the reviews... I would like to say that both my sister and I have high expectations of any hotel we stay in and this hotel met all of those standards. The meals were excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner.. So much variety, well cooked and hot.. Help yourself to wine, beer, soda or juices.. The hotel room was 5* completewith dressing gowns, slippers, razors, toothbrush, hairdryer etc... The WiFi is excellent and free.. The pool area is amazing and glean and if you want a bed next to the sea it's €6 for 2 or free around the pool. The drink are free and add o are cocktails. The staff are friendly and eager to please... Nothing too much trouble.. We enjoyed sitting by the pool bar at night listening to the amazing entertainment, maybe not everyone enjoys listening to live duos playing guitars but we can't fault it. Added to the atmosphere. We cannot speak highly enough of the Island, hotel, and the location and will definitely be back next year...

"Excellent"
mmmmatija, 02 Octobre 2017

Nice, clean, modern hotel with all you need to have great vacation. If you are traveling with children you will be happy to know that hotel have two playing areas for kids. One near kids poll and other, bigger and well equiped, near entrance to hotel. Food was great, hotel was clean, service qiuck and profesional. We had all inclusive arrangement and it was great. Free drinks, snack, ice cream...hotel beach is part of Laganas bay and part in front of hotel is cleanest. One minus is that you have to play deposit 50 € which is returned at check out. Suprise for me was free wifi. In lot of hotels you have to pay extra.

"Really poor management"

Booked an executive double room with king size bed. The porter took us a very very small twin room. I pointed out that it was not the room I booked, was taken back to reception who said Thomas Cook did not advise the hotel of any requirement except it was a double occupancy room. I asked to see the Manager who told me that the room I was allocated was what Thomas Cook had booked and that there were no other rooms were available as the hotel was fully booked. I said that I would ring Thomas Cook to which the Manager said you can do what you like as there are no other rooms available. I rang Thomas Cook who were perplexed by the hotels approach as they had forwarded my booking correctly as an executive double, they asked me to wait for 5 minutes while they rang the hotel. A had a call back within 5 minutes and was told by Thomas Cook to go back to reception and I would have my room upgraded. The receptionist showed she was less than happy with the instruction she had been given by Thomas Cook to move me. Whilst walking too the new room the receptionist said we were being upgraded to a family suite that was far more expensive than the room I booked and paid for. I pointed out that if they had allocated me the correct room they would not have had to upgrade me. Service issues - Cups and glasses were not cleaned daily, on the days they were cleaned they were left drying on a bath towel in the bathroom. When I went and saw the less than friendly receptionist on day three I asked if I could change £100.00 to euros, yes was the initial answer, then when she realised it was me then apparently the computer had stopped working and no euros were available Moral of this long story is that Thomas Cook were fantastic in sorting the issue out very quickly, as the hotel tried to downgrade me and lied about room availability. A really poor approach from a big hotel chain.

"Overall disappointed/Anything but 5 star!"
Nesh0077, 27 Septembre 2017

Food: felt like the food was recycled all the way through every night. Lacked selection. Unhealthy menu covered with oil, no fresh vegetables.Cutlery sometimes dirty. Food overall let down Greek standards. I was looking forward to my Greek holiday expecting good food but was left disappointed. Hotel/location: great location in front of the beach, hotel fair standard but not five star as claimed. Nice rooftop bar. Staff: friendly and helpful. Towel service to rooms in the evening, helped as you could get fresh towels for beach next day.

Katie C, 21 Septembre 2017

Love Zante! But Would NOT recommend this hotel!! Nightmare from the start- was asked for 50€ deposit, our passports, 30€ for safe, wifi free (although useless!) The food was not to our taste, 'kids corner' consisted of chips and pasta (everyday), Breakfast was terrible. All inclusive does NOT mean all inclusive! The snacks were a joke, -tomato sauce sandwich?? Staff weren't friendly. Stains on sheets. Accused kids of breaking a door, which we definitely didn't, then forced to pay a large bill-(or the police would come!) It already had crack in it!.. Another couple had similar experience. DO NOT BE CONNED Ruined my holiday. Wish I'd gone back to the Plaza. :( Kids did enjoy the pool, and pool table, apart from that not a good experience sadly.

"The best beach resort in Laganas, maybe all over Zakynthos"
Judit M, 12 Septembre 2017

A very nice hotel on a superb sandy beach. Rooms clear, food delicious, staff friendly. Just one thing: don't choose room 102. It's just above the fans of the kitchen's ventillation exhaust and it's so noisy you can't open the windows. When we signaled this they were very nice with us and as soon as they could offered another room to us which was perfect. A big thank you for the kindnes and attention of the staff!

"Thank you so much! "
Mike M, 12 Septembre 2017

We moved hotel to this hotel at our own expense when we had literally had no sleep for 5 nights in a hotel clòse by. They upgraded us to the deluxe room for free and the min we got here we felt so much more relaxed. It's a beautiful hotel amazing location and the staff can't do enough to help u . The room we had (delux) was do quiet. Thank you galaxy we plan to come back here.

"First Greek Holidays"
Ewn1, 10 Septembre 2017

We would like to recommend this hotel and give our thanks to all their wonderful staff. We stayed at the Galaxy for a week where we found very friendly and approachable staff. They were kind enough and made an exemption to let us have our dinner after a whole day tour and accommodate us after our return even if it was past the closing time. We found the food really good and it had a lot of variety in their menu. The week we spent there we enjoyed beautiful rooftop view and having the mediterranean sea very call and clean. The room service kept our room clean and with new towels every time we needed them. We look forward our next holidays at Zante, and especially to visit this hotel again. Efharisto!

"All inclusive?!??!?!?"
ninci2016, 09 Septembre 2017

Averages foods, always the same dinner. Kids corner's food is the same whole week long (same pasta, french fries and ketchup). Desserts are always the same, they are not so good. Awfull drinks, disgusting coffee. If you would like to eat better or drink a good coffee, you have to pay for it. Why is it all inclusive!?!?! The see is beautiful, but you have to pay for the sunbeds 6 EUR/day. The superior rooms are very-very small, the bath also. You have to pay 50 EUR deposit for the room and you also have to pay for the safe in the room (25 EUR/week)...in a 5 star hotel?! Rats are running through the street in front of the hotel and there is rubbish everywhere around the hotel. It is quite a 3 star hotel....

"Great Family break"
Pragnes P, 07 Septembre 2017

The hotel was very good. Food was nice and different each evening with a themed. Lots of free food, icecream and drinks. Everyone was nice accept for the receptionist. She could have been abit more friendly. Good clean maintenance.

"Perfect Base for our wedding "
Anna C, 06 Septembre 2017

We visited Zante in August for our wedding on Cameo Island. Having looked at various hotels we decided to book Galaxy for its facilities for children and its proximity to the beach, Cameo and our wedding reception. Reading previous reviews I was slightly apprehensive but I needn't of worried. Location - perfect! Right next to the beach, short transfer from airport and even though 5-10 walk from the main strip you do not hear any of the nightlife. Food - great! We all thought the selection and variety was good. Several guests in our wedding party also staying at the hotel agreed. Food was hot and replenished often. We did eat out on a couple of occasions but that was through our own choice (highly recommend Cool Peppers on the beach!) Rooms - we had a family room and it was really lovely! Perfect for us, spacious and all the facilities you'd need including a hairdryer! Towels are changed twice daily and they supply blue towels to use at the beach/pool. Facilities - pool bar was fab and a selection of snacks available (cake, popcorn, rolls, cookies and ice cream). Kids playgrounds were good, only suggestion would be to have some more play equipment in the one by the pool as children often like going from the pool to the play area but quite bare in comparison to the main one by the gym. Pools - great! Kids pool with slide kept our younger (and older guests) entertained. Onsite gym has the basics for keep fit fanatics. Roof Top bar is a nice experience and you get to see across Laganas. Staff - fab! Attentive, helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed!

"Spotless"
Chris A, 03 Septembre 2017

This hotel is spotless. Staff are very helpful&efficient. Tables were quickly cleared. Snack bar by the pool was constantly kept clean & also toilets were always being cleaned. Plenty of choice in the restaurant too. Views are beautiful & looked so nice lit up at night. Loverly beach also kept clean. Rooms were a good size and housekeeping were very efficient. Plenty of towels also beach towels daily. All in all lovely hotel with lovely staff.

"Excellent family hotel"
Catherine I, 23 Août 2017

Having read all the reviews on this hotel I wasn't sure what to expect- but have been impressed with the staff, exceptionally high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel and the location can't be beaten. I have read mixed reviews about the food. Well, you get what you pay for in this package. If you are expecting Michelin stars then this isn't for you. It is fresh, pretty good quality and lots of choice. (One of my children is very fussy and ate very well!) There are always a huge choice of salads, breads, rice, pastas and at least three meat dishes, a fish dish, vegetables, flans, pasties, chips and vegetarian dishes on offer at lunchtime and in the evening. There are always chicken nuggets or fish fingers or something similar for fussy children! Puddings consist of gateaux, mousses, jelly, pastries, tarts and about six flavours of ice cream and about ten choices of delicious fruits, all prepared, yoghurt, sauces and sprinkles! Always three or four different cheeses, breadsticks and everything else you need (dips, mayonnaise etc ) Breakfast is the obligatory full English if you require (sausages not the English variety ) with fried or scrambled eggs, omelette, bacon, breads, mushrooms, baked beans, lovely grilled tomatoes, pain au chocolat, croissant, pancakes, breads, toast, cereals, cheeses, hams and salamis, pastries , Nutella, jam, honey etc. and again a huge variety of prepared fruit. The food is ample. When we went out on day trips they also prepared us a packed lunch. The snack bar ( by the pool) always has ice cream, popcorn, cakes and biscuits and usually chips and pasties. There are small , wrapped sandwiches and it all comes out around 11am. TBH, if you are the sort of person that just wants to sit around the pool and gorge yourself between meals you could. My children were very happy with ice cream and the odd slice of cake. Drinks machines provide water, the usual cola , orange etc. (Unbranded) but completely adequate. There is tea, coffee, hot chocolate on tap too. I would say if you want top quality food you would have to pay a lot more money for this holiday! All the waiting staff have been exceptionally attentive. There is a really good mix of nationalities and some families have better manners than others but the waiting staff, cooks and cleaners have been spot on. Towels and bed linen are replenished frequently, as is the mini bar. We have a kettle , hairdryer and tea & coffee in our room and a retractable clothes line on the balcony. (Hand washing is tricky as there is no plug!) The room can be noisy but this is due to rude customers ( not the hotels fault!) and sound travels and echoes as all the floors are white ceramic or marble tiles. The outside gardens are lovely and spacious and relaxing. Beautifully kept and green and a real bonus. If you wanted there is volleyball, table tennis, pool and computers available. Wi-fi is strong all over the hotel (and on the beautiful beach where I am writing this! A gym is available and spa but we love the sea! People have mentioned in reviews about the evening entertainment. For this money Elton John wouldn't be available. It's perfectly normal Greek establishment singing! Our shower has also been fabulous (some people have mentioned problems with temperature) - I wish our showers at home were as good! Only one tiny criticism that I could think of (and I am a very picky person normally) it would be nice to have a jug of fresh milk with tea and coffee- little cartons of UHT are pretty wasteful!

"Less than appitising "
Craig G, 17 Août 2017

The reviews i read before booking we're in trip advisor fashion accurate. The picture of the sandwich I have posted was a delight from the daytime snack buffet from around the pool (Not doctored in any way) the waitor I have pictured is called yugren , he does his best to avoid clearing English visitors plates from their tables, to the amazement of some Dutch friends we made. a good example of this was when he bypassed our table with six plates on in favour of removing a single glass from their table directly next to ours it was highlighted more as we were the only two tables in service at that time th8s type of behaviour continued throughout our stay. The food in general was very school dinner like and repeated daily with slight adjustments to certain dishes. The drinks were the cheapest to be found and anything you would recognise obviously was not part of the all inclusive package and had to be paid for this included some of the cocktails dispite having the same ingredients as some of the free ones you have to pay for all drinks after 11pm with the exception of water. The bistro (that all inclusive customers have access to once per 7 days) was as expected a massive let down, anything under 13 euros being free and seemed to be left over variations of the food in the dining room, anything over this but under 16 euros was out of stock and anything over 16 euros you had to pay 50% towards, amazingly the out of stock items suddenly appear if your a fully paying customer. The hotel was nice, clean and well situated exallently as the pool was literally 20mtrs from the sea to be honest the hotel itself couldn't really be faulted, this review would have a top rating if it wasn't for the cheapskate food and underhanded delivery of the expected "all inclusive package" it's an insult to the term and should not qualify for this service in the brochures. The on site entertainment was basically a sub standard singer with a chap playing an electric keyboard poorly or dancers dancing to the above.

"Great Location!"
sirishsirish, 13 Août 2017

We stayed here for a week in the first week of August. Reading the reviews, we were a little apprehensive about the quality of food that would be served and the location itself thinking it would be noisy with young people but absolutely no complaints at all!! Food was perfectly adequate, good selection. Room was clean and towels replenished every day. Great location...the beach just a stroll below the hotel garden. Lovey garden with upholstered seats scattered over the lawn.. we spent almost every night lounging listening to the live music. Majority of the people staying were families. If you are a family with young kids, you can't go wrong with this place. Only thing that we didn't like was that they did not provide bottled water in the room complimentary.

"3 STARS HOTEL"
492cristina, 10 Août 2017

If you think , you came to this hotel and you can have a relaxing vacation, think again. From 7 to 24 in the evening is a nut house, everybody screeming, and slumming the doors. The hotel is not that clean, the food is not that great and they are never ready with the food they are cooking in front of you.The furniture is old . DEFINITLY IS NOT A FIVE STAR HOTEL , MORE LIKE 3 STARS.

"No cheap lobster in Zakynthos"
LeroivD, 09 Août 2017

Everybody loves Greek islands, including noisy and not so dressed English teenagers roaming the streets in Laganas. I mean the sidewalks because crazy drivers on ATVs and scooters rule the streets. Luckily BW Galaxy hotel is located near to the beach into a nice and quiet location, except for the noisy engines from the hotel second building's back producing AC for the restaurant and probably food fridges. But if you close the window it's OK. Hotel food is good, my mom complaining only about not having one special lobster dinner as the one she had in Cuba. Well, seafish is probably not so cheap in Greece. My wife too had one complaint about the hotel 50 euro guarantee retained for the staying period. Come on, why only 50 and not 500? Sea water is clean and salty with no waves. It's a good idea to take a cruise around island to see Navagio beach and blue caves. From Laganas beach you can see the planes coming down to land on Zakynthos airport, then only hear them taking off. I wonder if Caretta Caretta turtles like these planes.

"Very nice hotel but inappropriate food buffet!"
Yotini, 04 Août 2017

Very nice hotel, we booked a family suite which was spacious, very clean and comfortable. In a quiet area of Laganas, nice beach in front of the hotel (not the best of course of Zakinthos) and very nice play areas for small kids. Also a great kids pool excellent for kids till 4 years old. Every nice they had a greek movie played on the open theater which was also very nice. Location is also good, you can drive 5min to arrive to Kalamaki beach, the best we met in Zakinthos. Also, 15min drive to Zakynthos downtown. However the food was inappropriate. Very small variety, seemed like they had only frozen food, very bad quality of meat and very few quantity. To give an example, the main dishes of a dinner were : frozen chicken nuggets, frozen cordon bleu, 1 spaggetti plate with white cream and of course every day frozen friends fries.( we stayed 7 nights and we never saw in the buffet a different side). Breakfast included frozen cheezepies or frozen croissants (the only fresh cooked was the omelette and eggs). Inappropriate for such a nice hotel supported by Best Western.

"One nice week in Greece"
korte78, 02 Août 2017

The blue see is extremely beautiful. The hotel is very nice, really recommended for families. Food is variable, however all inclusive doesnt contain real espresso, only powder coffee. Location is very good.

"Holiday "
Bryan t, 24 Juillet 2017

Very friendly staff and extremely clean hotel. The restaurant was clean and cool with the beautiful view from the bi folding doors open and closed. It's beach front view was amazing . Although there was always lots of food the snacks were very bland around the pool. Sun beds around the pool old and uncomfortable, and it's a shame that although fully inclusive you were expected to pay extra for beds on the beach. That in all this is still amazing hotel and our thanks to the staff that made our stay so lovely.

"Fantastic!!!"
travelinmadeline, 22 Juillet 2017

Very impressed with this well run, extremely clean hotel, catering to your every need. The beds & linens are super comfy, Besides carrying high quality toiletries, they even have shaving kit with shave cream and toothbrushes with toothpaste, robes & slippers. I could not believe, we even had a scale in our bathroom. Every detail & amenity was looked after, the maids came by the room often to ask if you needed any fresh towels, or anything from the mini bar. There was even a retractable laundry rack on the balcony where you can hang your wet bathing suits. Great WIFI all throughout hotel property, even the beach. Beach front location, large swimming pool. Buffet breakfast included with large selection of fresh foods from eggs to porridge. Snack bar by the pool had mini sandwiches, fries, ice cream, soda & coffee machine also included in your stay from 11am - 6pm. We rented a car and had dinner out, away from the touristy areas. Will post separate dining reviews. We try to eat where the locals go (they know where all the fresh & good food is). Truly a 5 Star hotel, we loved it so much we extended our stay for 2 more days!

"Nice hotel but all inclusive services aren t all inclusive actually"
elena0479, 12 Juillet 2017

We ve been at this hotel for one week in July. We ve paid for all inclusive services, but actually, the all inclusive includes only food and drinks as water, some juices from the machine, nothingis bottled. Moreover, if you want an ice coffee you have to pay 1,50 euro!!! Also, the cocktails are NOT included. Neither the minibar in the room is included. At the end they asked us to pay from some products from the minibar which we never consumed!!! It s a very strange way of them of making bussiness, especially for all inclusive services. To be honest, we had better expectations. I don t think that we will be coming again at this hotel.

"Best hotel on the island best location"
Kerry W, 10 Juillet 2017

"Brilliant hotel! "
Charlotte E, 04 Juillet 2017

We were transferred from supposed 4* caretta beach which was probably a 2* dated rooms more problems than ever and all food was cold during our visit. We came here after being transferred and thomas cook staff made us out to be horrid to galaxy hotel. We were expecting something worse than caretta but arrived could not find a fault only the shower not regulating a temperature which didn't bother me as I had a bath every night. The food was all hot snack bar covered and wrapped packed lunches upon request for days out. The restaurant was open almost all day even tho there were stated times so some days we thought we missed tea and it was still open! Lol if you want a nice peaceful holiday with lovely staff to get looked after n have a room that's cleaned 3 times a day and fresh towels 3 times a day too bedding changed every day if requested then this is the place to go right by the beach it's the perfect location. I noticed the manager/owner was constantly milling about checking food watching his staff interact with customers which I thought was brilliant this is a very well run business and me and my family will be back. Thanks so much for turning our disaster into a lovely holiday. Charlotte from room 1 27 x

"Truthful review "
Andy S, 20 Juin 2017

We recently visited for one week for our honeymoon I noticed from previous reviews you tend to back track away from complaints you have been given and concentrate on the positive points so I have not given any positive points as yet . The problems that we found were as follows firstly the showers go from freezing cold to boiling hot a real danger point especially for youngsters , the entertainment in the evening isn't very entertaining it could do with been more lively having someone playing a guitar and the other singing on most nights for the maximum of one and a half hours wasn't particularly very entertaining so we found ourselves having to go out and find entertainment which ment we had to pay out more money even though we were all inclusive , having to pay 6 euros for Sun beds on the beach is out of order when you pay for all inclusive surely charge people who arnt guests but not people who are staying with you , snack bar in the the afternoon could have a bit more variety the same thing day in day out becomes boring . The WiFi could do with been checked as it's very hit and miss where it works in the building especially the rooms I.e 232-1 lost signal very easily and why do you turn of the WiFi at night around 11pm . We were told that these issues are at the hotels discretion so surly you should look into these problems and people would consider returning again .

"Good hotel but very poor all inclusive"
4cranbourne, 07 Juin 2017

Been there as a small family after seeing it advertised as children friendly in a great location - both points spot on. The positives i mentioned above. The negatives: - the all inclusive. Very very poor. Decent but little choice at main meals, only sandwiches and cookies at any other time. And there's cash supplement for bottled water, proper coffee (non filtered/instant), branded ice cream, any meal at the snack bar, fruit at the poolside, in addition to the 20 EUR charge to use the room safe and the 6 EUR per day for the sunbeds, that is really ridiculous. - spirits are of very cheap quality and taste, and all has to be paid after 11pm. Wasn't this an all inclusive? -  the shower that goes from freezing to boiling in seconds. - the rooms that are very noisy This is not a cheap hotel, they should match pricing with product quality. They're almost there but not quite.

"Mr spooner"
Kevin S, 07 Juin 2017

Very clean modern hotel well looked after hotel in a great location but that is where the good points end, The hotel is an all-inclusive but the problem is they don't understand what all means.if you want a snack during the daytime there is a menu at the bar you have to pay for your snacks. How they get around saying it's all-inclusive if they put some mouldy sandwiches in a tray next to the bar and they tell you that the all-inclusive part if you want anything freshly cooked during the daytime you have to pay for it ..also if you want any ice lollies or cocktails you have to pay for them also plus if you want a sun bed on the hotels beach you have to pay for them as well also if you want the safe in your room you have to pay for that as well Plus the minibar in your room you have to pay for that as well. The TV in the room only News channels . When you arrived I asked for €50 deposit which I found very strange for an all-inclusive hotel then you do realise it's not all-inclusive. And as for the inclusive part of the hotel i.e. the restaurants of an evening of very very poor quality food Ive stayed in many hotels over the years and this must be the worst for food selection and food quality. This hotel would be great as rooms only it is a very good location and very clean rooms and grounds...

"Has the potential to be a 5 star in Laganas "
User, 05 Juin 2017

We stayed for a week, 28th May - 4th June. We had a VIP double and couldn't fault it. Massive comfortable bed, double wash hand basins, bathrobes & slippers. Shower very temperamental though. One minute cool, the next boiling hot !!!! Location is great and the views are fantastic, especially from the roof top bar, although it doesn't open until 9pm? (sun has already set) We had sunbeds on an area beyond the pool but just above the beach so weren't charged 6 euros like the people on the beach. The biggest problem for us was the food. I'm not a fussy eater but it was near enough the same every day. As other reviews have said, the food is not hot. I've stayed in several 5 star hotels and I know Greece generally lacks behind but if this hotel sorted out the food issues it could easily be one of the best in Laganas. Also thought it was really great for kids. Lovely pool area with slides and a play area next to it. Loads of "little tikes" cars on the grassy area on the other side and a bouncy castle area at the back of the hotel. We would definitely come back, with the hope that the food had improved.

"As a hotel 5* review. As all inclusive though...."
Eyebaws, 04 Juin 2017

If this was just a normal hotel would get 5/5. Cracking location, right on beach, modern, massive kingsize bed and great views from balcony. This hotel however is all inclusive and reviewing as that, it would have to be one of the worst I have been to. The food selection at dinner and lunch is very very poor. The choices don't even go in to double figures and if you are not a fan of seafood, your down to about 4 choices. The soup (I think) is made from the knorr powder stuff, certainly the tomato anyway! We had lunch here most days but didn't really enjoy it. Dinner, we didn't make a single night. Walked through to see what was on offer each night and pretty much the same selection as lunch. No theme nights or anything like that. The next part about his hotel, which I find pretty outrageous, is that there is very few sun loungers available at the pool, but ,at on their beach area, which wouldn't be a problem however the hotel has decided to take advantage of that and charge its all inclusive guests 6 euros per day to use these beds. Absolutely scandalous. Not very well advertised you are also able to have 1meal from al a carte. This is not a separate restaurant but a couple of tables they have at the side of the bar. The staff serving at this meal try to make it look like a romantic dinner setting, however when they stick a table tennis table at the side of the table with kids battering balls back and forward as you eat your meal, kinda ruins the ambiance. The place also has a rooftop bar which would be a great place to have a drink whilst taking in the views, for whatever reason however they only open this after nine o'clock. Once it's dark and you can't see anything! Makes no sense to me! To summarise, really nice hotel let down by their all inclusive tag.

"Turning a holiday to a very good holiday"
mickpitman, 03 Juin 2017

Not 5 stars but when you have staff that work endlessly to make things good nearly there.i would like to thank the manager for putting little things right for us, It just makes for a great holiday. i have to say just a little wary about the write ups about the food, but if you want fish and chips go to Blackpool, a really good variety and some really good touches . just go and enjoy .

"Good hotel, but not if you are a Best Western member"
RodBaines, 30 Mai 2017

In many ways this was very good, but if you are BW member booking though the BW site you are only offered the basic rooms. If you book though Booking.com you get many other room types and meal options. So if you are a BW member especialy and Diamond Select member, don't bother as you are at a disadvantage to other package deal guests on all inclusive, I had to push for room upgrade which was reluctantly agreed, but there were many better vacant rooms. There is no service in the restaurant as it is designed for all inclusive and no one will ask if you want a drink, so you have to get it from the bar yourself. Apart from Room Service, Location, whic is Premier, this is definitely not what I expected from a BW Premier Selection.

"Not good"
AThomas1963, 28 Mai 2017

The food was always cold and had to ask staff to microwave it nearly every day. The problem was the food came out of the kitchen cold on cold metal trays and put on to cold plates. When meat with gravy was on the menu the gravy was congealed on the meat a dead give away it was cold. Luckily they had a microwave. The trays were cold as staff picked them up with bare hands. The choice of food was also poor. When you pay for all inclusive it is extremely important for the food to be good and especially hot. Between lunch and dinner there was no hot food just stale sandwiches with basically no filling. The showers in the rooms were not thermostatic and went from freezing cold to scalding hot which was quite dangerous. We had to pay €50 on arrival for a room deposit which I have never heard of before and had not budgeted for. The swimming pool was very small for a hotel of this size. There was a vast area of grass with a few nice sun lounger but feel this was a waist as it would be far better to have a large swimming pool here. The hotel had its own sun beds on the beach but were charging €6 a day for them which is hardly all inclusive. There were no life guards at the pool and no pool side entertainment. The entertainment at night was appalling when they actually had some! The hotel however was very clean everywhere.

"Galaxy a Dream"
JohnCricket, 23 Mai 2017

What a gorgeous hotel, contemporary, clean and food excellent, beautifully presented by the kitchen staff. Waiting staff quietly efficient and attentive. Will definitely be going again. Great Position leading on to beach, just a dream. Dochka who worked on the bar was just delightful. A super venue thank you to the hardworking Team at The Galaxy !

"very nice and relaxing"
danlucamatei, 19 Mai 2017

nice garden, nice restaurant and a lot of choices , good beach very nice staff small rooms for a 5 star hotel nice pool but small good location kids were very happy , roof top bar very nice but they close too soon.

"Very clean, friendly staff, food bland "
Demi R, 14 Mai 2017

I just got back today from my trip to the Galaxy Laganas on a family holiday for my mums 50th birthday. Please note... the hotel asks you for a €50 deposit on arrival which is refunded to you when you leave. The hotel was clean and tidy and the room was just what we needed. As with previous reviews the shower does go very hot and cold! When I say hot, I mean boiling! The shower cubicle is TINY. I'm not a big person (5ft4 and a size 10) but found I couldn't move much once in the cubicle! When the water gets really got there is nowhere to get away from the hot water. The pool area was lovely and we went just before their season starts really so always plenty of sun loungers. You can walk straight out of the hotel onto the beach. Beware if you sit on one of the hotels beach sun loungers, you are charged €6 for two sun loungers even if you're all inclusive. Hotel staff really friendly and happy to do anything to help you. Food, not awful, not great. I personally found the food really bland. I do like spicy food so maybe it was just my taste. They have people from all over the world and have to cater for so many so I guess it's hard to find something for everyone. I felt they had the same food a lot but called it something different on different nights. One night was American and we had 'hot dogs' which was actually hot dogs wrapped in pastry so more like sausage rolls. Two nights later at European night they were the same thing but called sausage rolls. They have theme nights each night but I didn't feel the food actually matched the theme. Thought there would be more traditional Greek food but wasn't much of this. We went for a week, we ate out 3 nights as we found the food at the hotel boring. We stayed a week and I honestly couldn't have handled the food had it been a 2 week holiday! All in all good family holiday. Wish the shower was better and the food had more flavour.

"NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL"
KATIA-GEORGE, 18 Avril 2017

The room was big, clean and comfortable but the service and the food was below average. Frozen French fries, pies and croissants and instead of fresh fruits they had canned fruits. Not at all a 5star standard. The area of Laganas is also awful indeed for families with young children. And all the island was full of garbage. It is a shame.

"Absolutely amazing"
Smb12345, 23 Janvier 2017

My boyfriend and I stayed here June 2016 and we loved every minute of it. We had a sea view room and the view was just unbelievable! The room itself was nice, the bathroom was perfect! It had a bath, a separate shower cubicle, a separate toilet cubicle and two sinks. The pool area is lovely and clean and there was always free sun loungers no matter what time of day. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the food. I really struggled to find something I actually liked at each meal time. The location of this hotel is ideal. It is right on the beach! It's a short walk away from the main strip which is good as it's short enough to walk to but far enough away to be quiet at night time. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it highly!

"Top Hotel in Laganas"
Lewis P, 18 Janvier 2017

From the moment my girlfriend and I stepped foot into our sea view room we knew that this hotel was something special. Located right on the main beach of Laganas, you could be swimming in the pool one moment and you could literally run into the beautiful sea within 20 seconds, its that close! To keep this fairly short. Our room was amazing with a full bathroom and spacious sleeping area, equipped with a free fridge (with chargeable food and drinks), free air con, satellite TV and an amazing balcony with a breathtaking view. The pool area was beautiful as well, with the pool-side bar a few foot steps away. Cocktails were included in the inclusive price and were lovely. However, coke, fanta, etc was not great !! The food in the hotel is the only let down but is okay if you aren't too fussy - but Laganas strip has reasonably priced restaurants from top to bottom if you don't mind spending a little extra. Lastly, My Gf and I found this to be more of a family orientated hotel, which could be why the price is far greater than every other hotel. We went out clubbing every night as we are still quite young and didn't really communicate with anybody else. But nonetheless the hotel is luxury, peacefulness and exciting whether you are a young or old.

"Heavenly Galaxy"
Moira S, 01 Novembre 2016

We spent 2 weeks here in Sept/Oct. Usually we opt for adults only accommodation nowadays but we ended up here all inclusive. Altogether it wasn't too bad with the occasional screamer at mealtimes but the wee ones were mostly Polish and were well looked after in a quiet manner by their parents. The hotel entrance was modern and simply styled with a small bar that was open from 6-8.30pm before the roof top terrace bar opened at 9pm. The dining room had four buffet islands and food was ok and plentiful. Wine was passable and gin was good. Different varities of tea were available and decaf coffee sachets too in addition to the Nescafe coffee machine at the entrance to the dining room. Wasps were hoaching at the pool bar drink dispenser and where staff served but that is par for the course in Greece at this time of year. Staff were attentive and friendly, working long hours. Our room at the end of the corridor overlooking the sea on the 2nd floor was adequate with a great view over the pool and sea but the intermittent shower temperature in the bathroom was irritating. Housekeeping staff did a great job changing bedding regularly and towels were plentiful. Pool area was well maintained with enough sunbeds for everyone-such a delight to avoid the sunrise sunbed bagging. Bus timetables were available and it was €1.80 wherever the bus went- to Zante Town a 15 min ride away or Alykes a 30 min journey. The sand beach surface is compacted and hard. The beach outside the hotel is raked every morning and sunbeds set out there are €6 daily. It was a good half hour walk along the beach to Kalamaki for a change of scenery-preferable to the shorter walk to the Laganas strip. A very relaxing and enjoyable break in the Zante sunshine.

"Great half term at Galaxy hotel"
Kellie-Jayne C, 01 Novembre 2016

Hotel was great. Spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at any hotel. Towels changed twice a day. Spent 7 nights here October half term. Probably not even half full, which was great. Right on the beach. Lovely view and plenty of sun beds. Food wasn't fantastic but was good and there was always something different to try. Right at the end of the season so not much going on or entertainment. A couple of singers and some Greek dancers that were very entertaining. Overall had a fantastic time and can't really fault anything about this hotel :))

"Half term break away"
Evelyn G, 29 Octobre 2016

As my friend and I arrived we were a little concerned by the outside of the hotel but once inside we were pleasantly surprised. The decor is very modern and our room had everything we needed for a weeks holiday. A bath would have made it even better but a shower was enough. We were checked in quickly, just be prepared you have to pay 50 euros as a security deposit, not a problem but we didn't know this when booking. Rooms were clean and the maids did a great job each day, even noticing how we preferred to have our top blankets laid out. Food overall was very hit & miss. Big variety and the themes were good but the standard was lacking. Sometimes kept waiting whilst food was being cooked but it did mean it was kept fresh. Outdoor areas of the hotel were beautiful, could always get a lounger, and the pool bar was great despite the amount of wasps! The biggest issues we found were that the main bar in the lobby closed very early (8.30) which meant you had to go outside to get a drink. Fine if the weather is ok but unfortunately we had a lot of rain and heading outside wasn't much fun :( Entertainment was also pretty much non existent (2 nights out of 7) and was very lack lustre. Also the hotel boasts a roof top bar...was not open at all. Claimed it was weather dependent but we did have some nice evenings and it still wasn't open. I understand it is the end of the season but the staff needed to keep up the energy, by the end of the week we were made to feel like spare parts and that the staff wanted us all to leave. I am sure in peak season the staff are a lot more energetic, so I have given them the benefit of the doubt.

"Nice hotel and location! "
kaneLeicester, 25 Octobre 2016

Fantastic holiday at the galaxy! The room itself is clean and tidy every day with new towels, the shower is average with the temperature very erratic. The food is great with a lot of choice, plenty of meat and veggie choices on offer. The bacon was poor but I didn't expect English back bacon in Greece! The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff are friendly. Overall, if your not really fussy, then you won't be going hungry! The town itself is situated 10 minutes walk from hotel and is buzzing, even in September, I can only imagine what it's like in the peak season. Plenty of bars and clubs that cater for all ages. The shops were a little disappointing with all of them being samey. Overall, we enjoyed our holiday to zante and we recommend this hotel and town to anyone.

"Lovely holiday"
Gwyneth2014, 18 Octobre 2016

Travelled September 26 for 10 day beach holiday Taxi from airport to hotel 17 Euros On arrival reception very friendly and professional. Room clean and tidy. Shower very small. Public areas very appealing with nice gardens and attractive pool / bar area Hotel has direct access onto beach. Two sun beds with umbrella charge of 6 Euros a day Entertainment at beach bar most nights for two hours Buffet food in dining room with self service for beers wine soft drinks etc Good choice of food at all meal times Hotel offers mini bus transport into zakynthos town for a small charge on a daily basis - bookable with reception the day before All staff are very hard working and charming -- a great assett Many thanks for a relaxing holiday

"Nice location"
Debbie J, 17 Octobre 2016

My husband and I visited this hotel in September. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach about ten minute walk from the main strip. I wouldn't want to visit the strip in peak season but at this time of year it was okay. Our room was average size, I found the bed really hard and uncomfortable which caused me a few sleepless nights. Our balcony overlooked a bit of waste garden which had a couple of old sinks in so not the best view!! The bathroom was okay however the shower cubicle is tiny. I am on the big side but have never been in such a small space, it was quite claustrophobic. We read many comments about the food before we went and to be honest it's not the best all inclusive I've ever been to but then again not the worst. You could always find something to eat, despite there not being a huge choice and the food wasn't ever really hot. The dining area is nicely decorated and the staff work hard to keep all the areas clean and tidy. One thing we had not contemplated was the amount of children and babies that were there who seemed to scream loudly at every mealtime. One night there was a mother feeding a child in the middle of the floor because he wouldn't go back to the table!! There was a bar near the beach which served drinks throughout the day. There were a few cocktails included in the AI package and the spirits are local but not too bad. The soft drinks are cheap especially the cola which my husband said was awful. Upstairs on the roof is a bar which opened between nine pm and one but you have to pay for drinks after 11. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere up there and the bonus was you got to drink out of a glass instead of a plastic one which the beach bar served. You were also offered crisps and nuts to snack on. There is entertainment on most evenings but nothing special, usually a singer or trio down at the beach bar. There are bars and restaurants along the beachfront and we visited a few of those to get a change of scenery. The Greek tavernas were good to get a bit of atmosphere with dancing on most nights. We did go out for an hours cruise to see the turtles which was 12€ each from a stall on the beach but they all seemed to charge the same price. Sun beds around the pool are free but if you have one on the beach they are 6€ which a lot of people were moaning about as they thought thy should be free. Overall the hotel is quite nice but if I went again I probably wouldn't go all inclusive.

"Enjoyed or stay"
travWales, 06 Octobre 2016

Recently returned from one week at the hotel and very pleased with our stay. We had a standard room which was adequate for the two of us although the shower cubicle was small. Excellent service all round. Free air conditioning but 50 euros refundable deposit to be paid on arrival. Safe available in the room for 20 euros a week. Our towels were changed morning and evening. Pool towels available at reception.

"Late summer holiday"
sharon l, 04 Octobre 2016

we stayed here for 1 week 17th Sept was a bit worried about the weather as not as hot as some of the other Greek islands but was all ok we had a couple of cloudy days 1 thunderstorm which was in the night and the rest mostly sunshine just right for sunbathing. Not a very inviting looking entrance to the hotel but once inside very clean and modern, staff very welcoming. We booked an executive room at a little extra cost but not sure what the benefits were other than an extra large bed. although we did have dressing gowns and slippers. Towel changes are twice a day which i don't think is really necessary but nice if that's what you require! housekeeping everyday with lovely fresh sheet every day. The room was not particularly large but enough for us with a nice size bathroom. tea coffee facilities and flat screen TV although only 2 English channels but you get this in a lot of places so wasn't surprised. Food was all buffet no restaurants but we really enjoyed the food with plenty to choose from. We ate out one night just for a change. Location of this hotel is excellent you can walk out the front entrance in most directions and usually come out on the main strip or the beach both about 10-15min walk so far enough away if you want peace and quiet, sept is quieter anyway as the younger generation have gone home. The beach was next to the hotel but was a little bit disappointing as gets a lot of tread through the day but some hotels rake it daily to make it look nicer quite a bit of sea weed on the waters edge but again most hotels along the front clear it now and again. sea lovely and shallow as in a bay so perfect for kiddies. little playground and baby pool with slides for toddlers. entertainment was ok something every night in the outside bar area which is very nice. We had no trouble getting a sunbed and hardly anyone was reserving beds although this is allowed. Overall we had a lovely stay here.

"Very nice hotel!"
marinabV1055GS, 21 Septembre 2016

We were very pleasantly surprized with this hotel. We were 4 girls staying here last summer 2015, and we got very good service! The staff was very helpful and nice, the food was awesome, and the cleaning was top notch! Only problem was the wifi connection was struggling... Thank you for our perfect vacation!

"Honest review"
Changi63, 13 Septembre 2016

My Husband and I returned today from a seven day stay at the Galaxy hotel. The rooms are adequate sized for our needs. The room only had a shower that is quite narrow and not a lot of space to move around. The room was serviced to a high standard with towel change twice a day. There is limited entertainment on a night, usually local singing or Greek dancing..The bar staff work long hours and always have a smile on their face. The hotel leads straight onto the beach, but you have to pay 6 euro to use the sunbeds on the beach, we just had beds around the pool and walked a few feet to the beach. |The sea is lovely although due to stormy weather we had a lot of seaweed. Compared to a lot of all inclusive places the food choice is ok but not extensive and not always very hot., Always pasta, chips, salads and various meat and fish. usually a handful of puddings and fruit, and several flavours of ice cream, but saying that we never went hungry and for the first time ever i did not suffer with any upset stomach.

"Great holiday week"
Ana O, 09 Septembre 2016

My husband and I stayed for 1 week in this hotel with half board included. We arrived before check-in time and the room was ready! We mentioned on the booking time that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and upon arrival the reception manager checked us in and gave us a warm welcome, shaked our hands and wished us a wonderful stay. A gentleman escorted us to the room and showed us how the A/C worked. In the room we had a complimentary bottle of champagne and "blakava" (traditional greek sweet). So nice of them! We really appreciated! The room was cleanned twice a day, the breakfast and dinner buffet had always plenty of choices. The food was tasty and we tried some greek cuisine everyday. The beach was in front of the swimming pool. The hotel is close to the main road in Laganas and quiet. Overall was good, location, staff, room, cleanness and food! I would recommend to my friends and family!

"Poor All inclusive program "
Frustrated_Brummie, 30 Août 2016

We (party of 3 - inc a child of 12 years old ) stayed here for one week 22/08/16 - 29/08/16 on a all inclusive package booked through Thomas Cook. On arrival we had to pay €50 refundable deposit on departure and €20 for the use of the safe in the room. Beach towels were issued free of charge. The room was ready when we arrived 1pm - The room was very very compact it had 2 single beds with a pop up bed placed in between the singles, we had to move the room around so we could actually move in there! Bathroom didn't have a bath only a shower (shower really isn't ideal if you are of a larger build very small cubical). Tea and coffee making facilities and free toiletries along with a chargeable mini bar. Air con / hair dryer also in room, only 2 English speaking channels on tv. Bath towels were changed twice a day. The food is absolutely disgusting in this hotel, poor salad bar and pudding stations not much choice! Everything seemed to be soaked in oil, cold food. The chef of whom had long hair was cooking from fresh had no hair net on nor hat, replenishing the food took for ever and you had to keep asking if they had any more. There was never any tables ready for you to sit and have a meal you had to keep asking for someone to lay a table for you. The drinks package ends at 11pm so after that you have to pay, the quality of the soft drink were poor we just bought our own drinks from a local supermarket 5 mins walk away. No cava nor prosecco on package (€3.50 per small glass). There was no animation team during the day nor night - no kids club etc! Evening entertainment there wasn't really any. Snack bar was a joke - dried up cake, sandwiches wrapped in cling film which sat there all day. No hot food snack wise. Hotel is situated right on the beach chargeable sun beds on beach €6 2 beds and 1 umbrella. Hotel can get very noisy at times, would say this hotel is more ideal for couples and families with babies. The English are the minority staying here. Reception staff are lovely and pleasant- all other staff we found were very rude. Overall very clean well located hotel with poor all inclusive package!

"Lovely stay "
confusedCoventry, 29 Août 2016

We stayed at the Galaxy 20/8/16 to the 27/8/16, myself, husband and granddaughter who is 6yr old. The room was clean and well laid out with tea/coffee making facilities a hairdryer and toiletries, towels were changed twice a day which we found quite bazaar but welcoming. The buffet style restaurant was adequate we ate there for every meal. Pool towels were also provided. A €50 deposit was requested on arrival either by cash or credit card and returned on departure. No real entertainment in the evening which was disappointing as I was under the impression it did have some which is why I choose this hotel for my granddaughter. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool. The hotel is set just off the beach with stunning views. The pool bar staff especially Kristin were excellent they were very efficient quick and kept the pool bar area in pristine condition. Over all we had a very enjoyable stay. The staff are very pleasant and helpful I would recommend this hotel if you want the Zante experience with out the madness.

"Excellent location, new and clean"
zohar2111, 27 Août 2016

A nice hotel just next to the beautiful Laganas beach, but far enough from the hussle of mid-town Laganas. A great place for families. Food was fine, and there was a nice selection of hot and cold dishes. The rooms were clean (even though they were rather small). We stayed for a week and loved it.

"Great Hotel, not the best location"
BluesTraveler2011, 25 Août 2016

Booking a hotel in the Greek islands can be tricky. There is no shortage of night time photography of infinity pools and close-up shots of small details or wide angle shots of the beautiful nearby beaches. Traveling with a family I didn't want to pick the wrong place. The Best Western was a safe choice. The hotel staff were great, the grounds are clean, the rooms are clean, air-conditioned, and include Wi-Fi. Here's the thing though: if you are in your early 20's and would like to be surrounded by cheap and loud bars then this location is for you (it would have been for me too 20 years ago). The town of Laganas caters to this crowd and in no way does it reflect the character of the rest of the island. We had a rental car, after a nice breakfast buffet, we loaded up the car with the kids and headed out to the many beautiful locations in Zakynthos. The drive to the farthest point on the island might be just over an hour, but it is a beautiful drive, and you can visit "the shipwreck" and also hire a boat to take a tour of the Blue Caves. At night you will certainly have to drive either to Keri, Keri Lake, or the main town of Zakynthos for dinner. Plan your day trips carefully and you will have an unforgettable vacation in Zakynthos, if you plan on spending a lot of time in Laganas with a family you'll be disappointed with the location, but not the hotel.

"Sea shore prime location"
alex s, 17 Août 2016

This is a wonderful very convinient hotel in the middle of all action and still quiet on the beach location. We loved it , was relaxing and pleasant stay. The hotel is combined with several buildings along the pool. The food was quite good for Greek all inclusive regime

"Lovely Hotel"
SallyWoo, 10 Août 2016

Just returned after staying here for a week with my husband. We had a lovely room on the 3rd floor, a superior double with sea view. King size bed, dressing gown and slippers and air conditioned. Lovely big balcony overlooking the pool and sea. Rooms cleaned daily and towels changed twice a day. Pool towels provided and could be changed daily. Tea/coffee making facilities. Good choice of food especially at breakfast, snacks provided by the pool and self service hot and cold drinks. No trouble getting a sunned at the beginning of the week but towards the end became difficult had to be up before 7.30 to get a sunbed. You can use the ones on the beach but have to pay €6 for 2 sun beds and brolly a day. Lovely beach and clear waters. Plenty of bars and restaurants along the beach. Lovely grounds with comfortable seating. Adult pool and children's pool and play area and entertainment every evening. They have a rooftop bar which opens 9 till 1am. Very friendly staff. Not many English people staying when we went. Would highly recommend this hotel for families and couples.

"excellent position"
Cheryl T, 10 Août 2016

the hotel has been upgraded from last years stay. We had a superior room which had a fab seaview. also complimentary bath robes slippers toillettries, tea / coffee making facilities. The mini bar is chargeable but they let us put our own water milk etc in it.good air-con and very good wifi. The restaurant has been painted white and got drapes which look lovely also the bi folding doors and extension of tables outside is a vast improvement and it doesn't feel like being in a dining room anymore. the all inclusive isn't like the carribbean but is adequate,Although you can have an al la carte meal by the pool bar if you book the day before. We did this and it was the best meal we had in the hotel.Well worth doing, we had a personal waiter and chef as no one else was bothering with this option. Few pointers for the management. : Put a cutlery station in the dining room so that guests can help themselves when a table isn't fully set. Also the roof top bar isn't advertised well enough. It is the most wonderful setting and nearly always empty. Maybe extend the all inclusive drinks up here til midnight so that people go up after the pool bar entertainment. some guests will inevitably stay on later and pay for a few drinks after this. For a change try some of the restaurants along the beach. Access by the pool onto the beach and walk along and choose from about 20 different ones. Our favourite is Balsamico. EXCELLENT FOOD and COCKTAILS Enjoy. I will definately be going back to this hotel. One of my all time favourites

"Nice hotel "
Elis P, 04 Août 2016

Stayed here for 3 nights and although we had the all inclusive package we never got to make the most of it as we were doing tours and sight seeing we were in room 236-2 (we had an upgrade) which overlooked the grassed lounge area great breakfast dinner was ok and seemed to be a different theme each night. The only thing if you are a light sleeper the thumping of bass from a few nightclub/bars close by will keep you up but when you book a hotel in a party location its kinda expected!

Easiest holiday booking I've made, brilliant customer service and simple! So much choice of holidays and amazing deals, I'd highly recommend to anyone wanting a affordable and easy holiday with a great choice of simple and affordable payments :)

"gorgeous hotel"
jacqueline r, 19 Juillet 2016

This is a gorgeous looking hotel it has been done to a high standard just came back from a week staying here with my husband we had room number 201 which had a lovely view from but the downside to this hotel is the food we went all inclusive and this wasn't a cheap holiday it cost us £1,500 for a week here and never once got a hot meal and the other down side to this hotel is having to pay 6 euros a day to hire the sun beds on the beach just to be pestered by the looki looki people constantly annoying you

"Location, location, location!"
Katy W, 18 Juillet 2016

After booking with Thomas Cook we decided on this hotel due to the recent refurbishment. I was personally thoroughly impressed with the attractiveness of the hotel. It was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and spoke good English and we're happy to help with any requests. There is free wifi throughout the hotel that worked pretty well most of the time, were times where it would cut out and I'd have to reconnect; I was on holiday - easily forgiven though. The food was probably my only gripe, it left much to be desired. However, breakfast was wonderful. I'd suggest going out a few nights for food and not relying on what the hotel had to offer every night and it got quite repetitive too. The rooms were cleaned 2 times a day and maids were respectful of belongings. Plenty of sun loungers by the pool and around the hotel grounds in general. Hotel isn't even a 5 minute walk from the beach and is about a 10 minute walk to the strip.

"Nice holiday"
toroklaszlo87, 17 Juillet 2016

Our room was in the 1st floor, in front of the elevator (and staircase) and it was above the entry (reception area), therefore it was noisy from both sides. Wifi signal was week and had time-limit, it was annoying to login a lot of time. The hotel is nice and clean, buffet was very good and tasty. I loved the beach, it was very nice. Zakynthos must see places: Navagio beach and blue caves (no turtles:) Rent a car and travel across the island. We overtook the tourist bus and were the first guests at the Olive oil factory too. We spent a nice holiday here, I recommend.

"Great location"
JulzAus, 12 Juillet 2016

Room was clean and a great size and air-con worked great. Comfortable bed and wi-fi worked well. We had a nice view over the gardens to the ocean. We had breakfast and dinner included which made it easier and the breakfast had a great selection. The umbrellas on the beach were nice as we tended to stay on the beach a lot as we don't have kids and the pool was very much the family area. This was fine as I love being on the beach anyway. We are a couple in our forties and love walking everywhere and it was easy walking to everything but far enough away from the noise. Very relaxing time here. Oh and the rooftop bar had a great easy atmospher lit up beautifully at night.

"unfinished refit"
sandrakay788, 09 Juillet 2016

on arrival we had to pay 50 euros which was unexpected we did get it back on departure.Breakfast was OK but lunch & evening meals were very poor so we went out to eat most nights, you don't expect to do that on all inclusive. The A La Carte restaurant and Roof Garden Bar wasn't finished also unfinished were the drawers in our room they only had screw holes not any handles so we had to open them with our finger nails. The grounds were first class.

"Lovely hotel "
Seajay30, 01 Juillet 2016

We stayed for a week, seemed to be the only ones not all inclusive but were happy to pay for the drinks lunches etc that we had. Hotel seems to have been refurbished everywhere was light modern and very clean. Gardens, pool and beach areas were immaculate. Restaurant was well managed by Dimitris and all the waiting staff, food was always of a good quality and plenty of choice. Room was very nice with many extras not expected including tea /coffee facilities, bath robes a and slippers, nice toiletries and towels changed twice a day! Although Laganas is not a resort we would visit again I can only recommend this hotel very highly especially for families.

"Fabolous"
Mateja P, 01 Juillet 2016

It was our 5 th stay in this hotel and everything is fantastic. We love location on the beach and I recommend this hotel for families with small children. The food is tasty and fresh and the cocktails are good.this year hotel get 5 star and the prices are higher, but worth the money we payed. Maybe only negative thing are small rooms, but we spend in room only when we sleep.for our family is Galaxy TOP hotel,so we will return in 2017.

"Very relaxing getaway"
scottm1970, 30 Juin 2016

A week at the Galaxy was the perfect way to relax and recharge. My room was bright and airy – although the bathroom was less so, and the shower was on the small side. The all-inclusive options include access to three bars: the foyer and rooftop bars in the evening, and the poolside bar during the day and into the night. The quality of the included alcoholic drinks is not up to the equivalent branded products, perhaps, but perfectly adequate. The staff were pleasant to a fault throughout my stay. In terms of entertainment, the pool bar offered live cabaret music each evening, which provides a pleasant musical backdrop -- far better than the cheesy europop which is piped into the pool area during the day (if that isn't your thing, there are plenty of sunbeds and tables around which are out of range of the pop music).

Choice of beach or pool. Nice pool for small children. Rooms are clean, updated. Staff is friendly and helpful. Price was good. Would definitely come back again. We did not try the all-inclusive. Plenty of choices for eating. Nice beach. Shallow. Great views.

"Wow...fantastic"
Angela H, 16 Juin 2016

It was our first time in Zante...Laganas..and we enjoyed our stay..Alot of boat trips to see the turtles and Keri Caves...The hotel was very clean and tidy inside and out, staff always busy cleaning and being helpful when needed. Our room was very nice size and we had a sea view so well happy with it..Paid 50 euros for a deposit for any damage of the room which you get back when leaving.Food was good could do with more choice...the Location for us was key we love the beach so we loved just walking out our room to the beach.Pool a nice size and lots of sunbeds..we went all inclusive and the choice of drinks was very gd..cocktails,shorts and beer well happy. In all we really did enjoy our stay at this Hotel and Laganas itself...we would come back for a visit.

"Location, Location, Location"
Merwench21, 09 Juin 2016

Visited as a couple 28 May - 5 June. You need 50 euros for a deposit on arrival and then were given air con remote, which we never used. We also paid 20 euros for a safe. We were given the times of meals but no other information at reception, not even offered a cold drink. We booked an executive room which was a nice size, especially the bigger than king size bed. There was a fridge in the room but it was full of items which where highly priced and reduced the opportunity to use the fridge yourself, this was checked daily in the evening along the with tea and coffee supplies and restocked as needed. Towels were changed during morning clean and then again in the evening, so it was very important to use the don't disturb sign as we were caught out once not expected a towel change in the evening. The outside areas are very relaxed, we were not aware that pool towels were free, no one put towels out to reserve sunbeds by the pool as there were plenty of places to sit/lie. Sunbeds on the beach were charged but we avoid this due to the harassment from people selling wares. The best thing about the hotel is being on the beach and would be the main reason for returning, especially the turtles watching and access to strip and beach, the sea was warm, clear and nice to walk out into. Trips are sold on the beach which are reasonable and you can hire speed boats which we did and preferred to the trips. The drinks were good as sodas and hot drinks were self serve so no queuing and the alcoholic cocktails were good and effective. The bar snacks were good sandwiches from 11 to 11, along with biscuits and cake, and ice cream. In the evening there was generally entertainment on most nights some were better than others as not all Greeks can sing English songs well. The roof terrace was nice with good views, but we preferred the sea view. The food in the restaurant was adequate, there was generally always something to choose from, and they seemed to be working on making improvements to there offering. On the last day we had breakfast earlier and there was porridge which we had not seen before and more choice of pastries. At lunch and evening meals there was always spaghetti bolognese and another pasta dish, along with several meat dishes, fish and always chips. the best part of the meals were their desserts, always a selection. Sometimes when food ran out they were not always replaced with the same item for example meat lasagne was replace with spinach lasagne. There was always plenty of seats as I presume with the choice outside the holiday people wanted a change. All staff were pleasant but missed being greeted on entering the restaurant. There seemed to be a lot of manager just taking time to see what was happening and sitting in the outside bar. The Al a Carte meal is not advertised and you need to book the day before, this takes place to the side of the bar and is a nice location, due to what I understand to be little knowledge of this, not many people booked this as there were just us and another couple the night we picked and a waiter giving you their full attention. Some people said it took to long but we enjoyed the relaxed pace. The food was fine and hotter than the restaurant. Not a place for young kids as not much to do, but for toddlers there are a few toys, including cars and bicycles for them to use and two play areas. Did use the gym as I was on holiday. Close to strip but not so that you were disturbed. Would we return, Yes, mainly due to the location. Some people thought this was a 5 star as that is what they advertise but would personally class as four, which is what I believe is their current status.

"Fantastic location!"
jazz0j, 05 Juin 2016

Just spent a great week at this hotel. It is situated right on the beach, with beautiful gardens. The rooms are well appointed and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff were very attentive without being obtrusive. Although close to the Laganas strip we didn't have any noise or disturbance from there. The only complaints I have are the food although well cooked lacked variety and very often we ate what was available and not what we would have chosen. The showers are the smallest I've ever seen, you cant bend over in it without opening the door and as the water temperature often fluctuated between very hot and cold this was problematic because you couldn't move out of the way of the stream of water. This is the only hotel I've stayed in where they make you wait at reception on check out while they check your room for damage. I'm not sure how this works when there are a lot of people checking out together! This hotel could easily become a 4 or 5 star hotel with a little tinkering. Despite a few niggles I would recommend it.

"A clean hotel right on the beach"
AliNikta, 05 Juin 2016

We stayed in this hotel from the 26th of May to 2nd June 2016. What was good: Hotel was very clean Restaurant has got a good view looking to the sea which was very nice The pool area was very clean and designed beautifully Hotel provided free pool towels Staff worked hard There is a bar close to pool which offers different cold drinks Very safe hotel What we did not like: This was the smallest ever 5 stars room that we had specially with a very tiny shower container which was difficult even to turn and no bath. Small toilet joining shower did not have a proper ventilation. There was a big noise (from hotel air conditioner system) and w couldn't open the balcony therefore we had to use the air conditioner, but it is placed in the wrong position and you get a straight air to your face, that is why we (both of us) got the neck pain on the second day. Regarding food, starters and disserts were good but we did not enjoyed the main courses, for that reason, although it was all inclusive a few times we went out for dinner which was so nice. All drinks were cheap and artificial and there was natural juice. The fridge in the room did not worked initially and we reported. We were told it was checked and fixed but it did not cool properly and we lost some fresh fruit. we asked for repair or replace and in fact nothing happened. It was a charge for sun beds on the beach although it was all inclusive Staff were so tired with some strange attitude for example there is volleyball court and so we asked for the ball and we were told you came for rest why you need it and then they gave us the ball the day after. In the second day at about 10:30 when were sleeping, cleaners opened the door and came in. we panicked and when in the next morning we informed the reception, the said that probably the were very busy and delayed their schedule with some smile and we asked do not do it please. But again happened and we had to put a chair behind the door to nobody open it. There are tables for tennis but they provide you very old damaged rackets Noise from hotels next to us Lack of management was clearly visible Comparing with other five stars hotel: This is not a five stars hotel Reception, lobby bar and seating areas are very standard The snack and drinks in the mini bar were very low quality and did not matched with the provided list. We would say it was a clean and safe with a maybe 4 stars hotel

"Lovely Hotel, in a great location right on the beach"
Andy P, 02 Juin 2016

We stayed in this hotel from the 19th - 30th May 2016. The hotel has had a refurbishment over the winter, and on first arrival we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very clean, with a modern looking reception, lobby bar and seating area. We arrived just after 12.30 in the afternoon, and were given a nice cold orange drink while we were checking in. The hotel does ask for a 50 euro deposit for the room, however you can provide them with credit card details instead, which is what we chose. We were in a "standard" room, which was more than adequate for our needs (it was just my wife and I). We were given a 3rd floor room, room 310, with a balcony that had a side sea view. This room also benefited from having the sun on the balcony all afternoon, which was great. There is a fridge within the room, however this was more than half full with drinks and snacks from the hotels "mini bar" so its use was rather limited. It is also worth pointing out that the cost of the drinks and snacks in the Mini bar are VERY expensive. There is a safe within the room, but this is chargeable at 20 euro per week. The main restaurant area has been given a fresh look, when you compare it to the photos on here. It is now finished in white wash paint, with light coloured tables and chairs. In my opinion, this looks better than the dark finish in the photos, but there were comments about it looking like a wedding venue. The front end of the restaurant opens up, with some of the tables outside on a balcony area, which was really nice. The pool area itself is rather small, and I can see this getting very congested in the high season, but when we were there, there was plenty of space & lots of sun beds. The hotel does provide free to use pool towels. There are sun beds on the beach, but these are charged at 6 euro a day, even for the All Inclusive customers. The pool area also has the Pool bar and seating area, along with a large number of tables of chairs on the edge of the beach, great for watching the world go by, or for turtle spotting in the early evenings. The Hotel has some lovely gardens to the side, with a great range of seating areas and canopied sun loungers. The grass was always well kept, and the whole area is spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant was of a good standard. The odd day / night it was really good, but then there were other days when we struggled to put a meal together. There is only so much salad that you can eat. We did mention to our Rep (Thomas Cook) about the lack of fresh, cut fruit (Melon etc) and from the following day, whether by chance we do not know, at both lunch and dinner, there was always a plate of both water & gala melon cut up and available. Other couples with children did state that there was a lack of children's food (fish fingers & nuggets etc). We also felt, after about 5 days, that all the food seemed to be very "samey", to the point that we started to eat out in the local restaurants (even for breakfast). The All inclusive drinks are "OK" at best. Do not expect to feel the effect of the alcohol. Luckily, you can purchase branded drinks at the bars within the hotel. We knew the hotel had had a refurb over the winter, however we must point out that when we arrived, we enquired about the Gym, the Rooftop Bar and Al a carte restaurant, only to be told that they were "Not Ready". When we checked these areas out, the builders were still working on them. This did not go down too well with us, especially the roof top bar, as this was a key thing to us in choosing this hotel. However, during our stay, firstly the gym, then the Al a Carte restaurant opened, and then with 2 days left of our holiday, the rooftop bar opened! The view from the roof top bar was well worth the wait, and the soft seating areas they have are great. We must also say that the bar staff, are fantastic. Claude, who tended to run the Lobby Bar and then the Rooftop bar, is a fantastic character, and always greeted you with a wave and a smile. Ioannis (pronounced Yanis) looked after the pool side bar, and again was always smiling, and talkative, and tried his best to remember your drinks. A big pat on the back to these guys! In closing, the hotel is very clean, in a great location on the beach, near to a very good selection of local bars, restaurants and shops, far away from the strip for it not to be a nuisance, but within easy walking distance. It was a shame that not all the facilities were available for the length of our visit, and the hotel food could be improved (in our opinion).

The hotel is on the beach and has a nice garden. The food is good, staff is awesome, clean rooms and is situated at ~10 min to walk from "The Strip". Overall, I would gladly recommend it. From the strip I would recommend "Rescue Club" ;)

"BEST western GALAXY HOTEL"
AnthonyKas3l, 18 Avril 2016

In short, hotel is situated right at the beach with very nice garden with sea view, 5 mins to the centre with bars, shops etc.. and great staff. After we arrived to the hotel, on check in, need to place deposit 50€ - OK, I dont mind (we are not going to devastate the room:)). First look, man at the reception is very friendly, he sent helper who showed us a room and take my girlfriend luggage, great! We wanted room with sea view, we get it (maybe it was a luck). Room is spacious with air condition, refrigerator, and tv with some UK, DE, RU, GR channels, balcony with sea view and view to the town. We like it, but it couldnt be good to everyone because all night is there a little noisy (Young party people everywhere stretching to main street). Big bathroom, one of the biggest we had:). So when you like silent, try to get room situated to hotel area. Cleanliness of our room or hotel is very good, one of the best I have seen. Hotel consists of 3 buildings, main building with reception, we got side building with no reception (open for all night and day), I liked it. In main building is situated dinig room and at the roof is night bar with great sea view with very romantic seating. Bad is, open hour are after 21:00??? Another bar is next to dining room, I have never seen it open, but dont mind I dont need it. Beach bar is the best, opens from 10:00 to 24:00. All inclusive consists of non-alcoholics and alcoholics drinks and coctails, there is also light refreshment with cakes and sendwitches, cafe, tea...with great sittings right at the sea. Hotel has own sea beds with sunshade right at the sand, need to pay for it. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull, they will make your day better (Hi Nikos, greetings from Tony Montana:D). Beach is very good, sandy, water is still, you can find Caretta everywhere in summer, some Raya, starfish and fishes, etc. so it is not dead there. From hotel it is about 5 mins to the centre, full of bars, restaurants, discos, shops, lots of party people, fun.... I find only one bad thing at this hotel, it is food, variety is weak and quality was often different. Who can mess up fries, french toasts or chiken nuggets??? Full of oil, not eatable sometimes. Only one kind of a fish a day, or two kind of meat. But I cant say that the food was totaly bad, they had good things too, I always find something to eat, but often have no choise and prefer to eat something else. I can only say it is the weakest side of this hotel, one of the worst I had experienced, so it is shame such a good hotel has as weak cuisine. With better food it would be the best hotel in which I was at vacations. Hotel has great beach bar with sun shades and places to get laid and very friendly staff everywhere. So it is very good place to turn off. I recommend this hotel to everyone, it is one of the best hotel we was.

I didn't have to much expectations when we booked this hotel as is 3* rated but is definitely more than 4* even though the rooms furniture is not looking that good, the services are great and the pool which has the view directly to the sea, also the top level balcony/terrace with a gorgeous sea view during the evening, and let's not forget about the meals - the food is great we had all inclusive and I'm so happy that we chose all incl package.

"Great Hotel"
ToniBasildon, 15 Octobre 2015

Arrived October 4th - Departed October 11th 2015 Lovely Hotel. We were greeted by friendly staff, and processed very quickly. Beautiful Room & Bathroom. Hotel right on the beach which is nice. Gardens well kept, pools nice, but can Imagine get very crowded in the peak months, but plenty of tables and chairs, and loungers away from the pool. Lovely lounge areas inside the hotel, and outside balconies. Lots of choice for Breakfast / Lunch & Dinner - Also a wide choice of Alcoholic & Non Alcoholic Beverages on All Inclusive. Sandwiches and Cake & ice cream available from 1100 hrs - 1800 hrs. 10 min walk to the town. Will definitely be returning to the Galaxy Hotel.

"Lovely clean hotel right on the beach"
BubbleKent, 04 Octobre 2015

This is a lovely hotel situated right on the beach at Laganas on Zakynthos/Zante. The hotel has lovely gardens, with tables and chairs and wicker benches with roofs and a superb swimming pool. There is a lovely pool bar that is open all day up to about midnight - serves drinks and snacks etc. and has plenty of sunbeds and tables and chairs. We stayed at this hotel on a Bed and Breakfast basis for 8 nights. We were checked in swiftly by an older gentleman on reception - he was extremely helpful and polite -- made check in a pleasure. We had to wait an hour and a half for our room ( we did turn up at 11-30 am though) but the wait was no problem as we sat in the gardens and had a refreshing soft drink! We had a little problem with our room door - it would not shut / lock -- but this was fixed at the second attempt by the maintenance man. Our room was lovely - spacious with a modern TV with satellite channels and a spacious bathroom with a bath and shower attachment - toiletries were provided and the towels were soft and clean and replaced as often as you needed them changed. The cleaner was fantastic - she left everything spotless every day. We had a small fridge that was quite effective if the cabinet door housing the fridge was left ajar. There was also a radio alarm clock that bizarrely was not wired separately from the main room electricity supply - so every time we left our room (and extracted the card key from the supply, the radio alarm clock was turned off and had to be reset on return to the room - I gave up after a day! The room also had an effective key operated safe. Breakfast was very good -- from cold meat and cheese and cakes /croissant/bread/toast/rolls to egg bacon sausage and (if you wanted them) chips! There was also tinned fruit and fresh fruit with yoghurt / Greek cheese if required. Internet was very good although a bit patchy around the swimming pool. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from 'the strip' -- you can either turn right at the hotel beach and walk up the beach past the more sedate restaurants and bars or you can walk by road from the front of the hotel - we varied our route as sometimes the restaurant 'touts' got a bit tiresome along the beach way. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - the staff are slightly reserved (not 'in your face') but thoroughly professional and efficient - and we will probably return.

"Clean an friendly"
jackomul, 27 Septembre 2015

On arrival at 8.20pm we where greeted and quickly processed and in our room, the staff where very efficient and welcoming. First impression was the room was very clean and tidy with plenty of storage space. the balcony was quite small and in our case quite shaded. The air con was brilliant AND we needed it as the first 4 days where in the high 30s. The location was very good as other reviews have pointed out. The food was always good and varied, cooked to perfection,we where very pleased with it. I would like to have seen some fresh grapefruit or fresh fruit for breakfast, apart from that fantastic. The staff where very friendly and accomidating. The beer was on a scale 1 two 10 about 7 also the wine,so we where happy with that. Pool was very clean and the bar staff roun the pool were lovely, Marina was really nice and chatty. Just a few things to look out for is, as you walk dow to the beach the wooden boards had some nail sticking out and if you where barefooted could have done a lot of damage so make sure you have something on your feet. Iam pretty certain that problem will be resolved but there was quite a lo so be careful. to sum up we where there for 10 days, from the 17th of September untill the 27th and all I can say is we had a great time.

"Jewell of Zakynthos"
TumblingNebula, 24 Septembre 2015

We stayed at the Galaxy in September 2012 and it was genuinely the holiday of a lifetime. We tried other countries after this but none recreated that perfect holiday we'd once had. This year, after much deliberation, we decided to book another trip to Zante and there was only ever one hotel we were going to choose... The Galaxy. Our initial fear when making the booking was that it may not be as good as the 2012 visit and we'd be left with tainted memories but we couldn't have been more wrong. As soon as the Olympic coach dropped us at the hotel on Sunday afternoon (13/09) we walked up to the entrance gate and we immediately felt at home again. The hotel looked even more amazing than it had on our first trip due to some extensive landscaping, the addition of a new outdoor lounging area with shaded couches and love seats and an increase to the seating area around the poolside bar. Check in was as prompt and friendly as we remembered and we got into our room which has all you'd need, such as an LCD TV, private safety deposit box, balcony, fridge, credit card style door key and plenty of space for luggage etc. We had chosen all inclusive as we always do and were delighted at this year's food choices in the restaurant. As you walk in there is the bread section and the salad bar which was always well stocked with a good selection of continental meats, cheeses, salad, dressings, dips, olives etc. Next section was the vegetarian hotplate with a good and varied daily selection for those who don't eat meat. Around the corner are the meat and fish dishes which were my favourite (especially the garlic lamb) and finally the dessert section which had great daily offerings including ice cream (very welcome in the 35? heat), cheesecake, cakes & baklava to name a few. The best thing about the restaurant is the way they continue to keep the food availability 100% throughout the sittings so you never miss out if you arrive later. At meal times, drinks are self service and include hot drinks, soft drinks, beer and wine. There is also food available all day outside of meal times at the pool bar. The pool bar also has a free pool table, table tennis and an evening entertainment program. I found myself having a dance off with the Greek fire dancers which was so much fun. The pool is just the ticket for cooling off and leads directly onto the beach where there are loungers provided by the hotel and outdoor showers to get rid of all the sand before you come back into the grounds. The poolside bar has the same drinks as the restaurant as well as all the well known spirits, local spirits for all inclusive guests and a good cocktail menu. There is another bar in the lobby of the hotel which we didn't use as it was indoors and a stunning rooftop bar which offers panoramic views of the island. We mainly used the poolside bar due to the mix of beautiful views, entertainment and staff interaction. The hotel is right next door to some lovely beachside Tavernas where you can explore different food and cocktail choices and take a really pleasant stroll in the evening to burn off those dinner calories. If you want to experience the nightlife, the "strip" is less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel but far enough away that you don't have to be involved in all the hedonism unless you go looking for it. If you need a vehicle, Yioylios Rentals is behind the hotel and he has everything from bicycles to scooters to cars at great hourly, daily and weekly rates. Transportation to other parts of the island can be caught from outside the main hotel gate and many of these are free due to sponsorship by local businesses trying to entice new customers. Just look on the big notice board in the street outside the hotel gate. I have to say, this hotel is outstanding and worthy of much more than its 3 stars. The grounds are immaculate as are the interior public areas. The whole place is white marble inside which shows how clean it always is. The reception staff are such a dedicated team and will give you excellent advice on days out, directions and even the odd Greek language lesson. Just ask for Fimis, Sonia or Evie and one of them will always be on hand to delight you. The pool bar is looked after by the lovely Marina in the morning and Ioannis until midnight. They are both great and will soon have your drinks order memorized. Once you have stayed at the Galaxy, you will want to return time and time again!

"Lovely Hotel Surprise Gem"
Moyachris, 21 Septembre 2015

Visited this hotel early September, spent a week here with my husband. It is in a great location right on the beach at Laganas. It is set in lovely gardens with one of the cleanest pools I have ever seen, and trust me I have seen many many. The rooms are spotless, in fact the whole place is, friendly staff and good amenities. It suits families and couples alike. Near enough so you can walk to the strip if you have the inclination, but far enough so you don't hear it. We went all inclusive, the food was typical hotel food, they cater for all tastes, plenty of choice you can always find something to eat. We ate out on a number of occasions, there are plenty of good restaurants along the beach, which have great food and are cheap enough. The hotel has great views from the beach gardens and the 4th floor bar. We always ended the evening with a cocktail on the 4th floor, very relaxing. We are going to book here again.
