We were tired. It was late. But when we walked in the door, I felt welcome. The woman at the front desk was so nice. We had a handicapped suite. Two BIG separate bedrooms. The king bedroom was larger than our primary bedroom at home. The room was spotless. Bathroom comfortable with a REAL working fan. Hot breakfast with bacon, eggs, potatoes and waffles is free. Coffee was awful. We'd definitely return!
My wife and I spent 3 nights at this BW. We selected it primarily based on its ratings. The ratings were accurate. This is a nice, quiet, clean, and comfortable stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was conveniently located relative to shopping and eating establishments in Tulare. Be sure to inquire about the 10% discount offered to BW guests at nearby restaurants. The breakfast offering were Fair, not Poor or Good. Offerings were limited, e.g. eggs and breakfast meat choices, cereal choices, and yogurt choices. Overall, we give his BW a Thumbs-up and would stay again in the future!
Usual Best Western Standard. Breakfast was very tasty and had a great variety of choices. Hot breakfast items changed daily. Room was spacious and clean. The hotel was easy to find. If you plan to go to King's Canyon and Sequoia National Park, you should plan for a two hour drive from the hotel.
We stayed here on our way to Sequoia National Park. It was more affordable than staying at Visalia. The rooms were quite large and we enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast. The check in staff was very friendly as well as the server during breakfast.
I stay at this hotel whenever I am passing thru the valley. Rooms are large. TV, internet and A/C work well. Bed and pillows comfortable. Quiet and clean. Hot breakfast has many choices to choose from. Fresh fruit along with juice is available. Reception was friendly along with staff the I encountered
Best Western Town & Country Lodge has friendly staff, clean, and rooms are very comfortable. If you are hauling also has big parking spaces for that.
Crean breakfast room, hot and tasty breakfast. Front desk polite and friendly. Rooms are very clean.
Rooms were clean and morning breakfast was accommodating. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Will stay again at this establishment as we enjoyed the location with spacious parking and easy access to freeway as well as local eateries and shops.
Always enjoy the consistency of Best Western. The prices are very reasonable and desirable locations everywhere. We have been members for many years.
This was not a planned stay so saying that the rates were amazing. Hotel is clean and breakfast was okay.
This Best Western location has great customer service, breakfast, and clean rooms. My company booked 6 rooms for business and not one person in the group had a complaint.
This best western hotel is my favorite best western so far. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, always remembers us. The prices for each night are affordable. The rooms are always clean and fresh. The TV is great especially with the casting options to watch your own movies and shows which a lot of other hotels don't have
When we first went into the building (lobby), it looked like it was 50 years old and I thought the reviews on Trip Advisor must be fake. The first room we were given was next to an extremely loud ice machine. We immediately went back to the check-in desk and were given a new room near to the lobby. The room was very very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and even the pillow was comfortable. I slept for 9 hours and did not wake up once. My only complaint was the shower's water pressure was very weak.
The room was very clean with a microwave and mini fridge. The bed was firm, but comfortable. It was very quiet at night, despite looking like a very busy area earlier in the evening. Breakfast included hot items. Parking available for oversized vehicles.
Clean, room and the entire facility in excellent condition. Great service from all the employees. The breakfast area and the breakfast was outstanding. Breakfast included eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffles, fruit, and much more. The location is great right off the freeway, close to restaurants and stores. Pet friendly!
Three nights while in Tulare for a show at the Ag Center (about 10 minutes away). Very comfortable bed, clean room and decent bathroom. If I had one thing to improve it would be the QUALITY of the bath towels.
It was a wonderful place to stay. The workers were very friendly and the rooms were very clean and smelled fresh. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The coffee was absolutely horrible but the breakfast was great. They even had a menu posted each days hot food, scrambled eggs every day, bacon or sausage, potatoes or biscuits and gravy (biscuits were soft).
very nice location .good breakfast (eggs ,potatoes, ,sausage , drinks , bagels, cereal ,waffles ) about 40 miles to sequoia national park would definitely stay again very clean , quick access to freeway ,close to outlet ,mall
Rooms are very clean - very friendly staff - great breakfast !!!! Every area of the hotel is clean - great parking easy in and easy out - felt safe within the hotel - parking lot well lit - highly recommend!
This Best Western property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Check in was smooth, I was given bottled water and a wifi password. The a/c in the room was powerful considering Tropical Storm Hilary was coming in. I was staying one night for a conference intending to enjoy the free breakfast but alas, we decided to leave at dawn that morning to get back over the Grapevine before the worst of the weather rolled in. The value was far greater than paying for the host hotel attached to the convention center in Visalia and it was only 10 minutes away. We were easily able to get food delivery at this hotel. Wifi service was smooth enough to stream. Be aware, if mobility is an issue, there was no available elevator so choose a downstairs room. But otherwise, it's the kind of stay I expect from Best Western that makes it the king of the traditional "motor lodges". You can trust them to be solid, clean, safe, amenity-rich properties at a value price.
Stayed one night for a trip to Sequoia National Park. We were greeted by Lisa who was a gracious hostess throughout our stay. Nice property with spacious rooms (Room 237, Double Queen), comfortable beds. The sink is outside of the bathroom for folks who like that setup. Nice pool area with a separate area for grilling. Didn't try either, but they looked nice. Excellence proximity to restaurants, etc. I have a medical condition (CIRS) that is aggravated by molds and other biotoxins in the air. I didn't see evidence of molds, but the air conditioner emitted musty air and it exacerbated my symptoms. Started looking further and noticed that while the room was generally clean, there was lack of attention to detail in the cleaning. The tops of picture frames needed cleaning, some debris behind the bathroom door in the corner, my finger came black when run along the upper shower ledge, and what seemed to be a thick layer of white construction dust came tumbling down from above the bathroom door. Also noticed that the a/c vent, high in the air in the main lobby, looked to need a cleaning. Made me wonder what the ducts look like inside. I was glad that the room window opened wide; kept it open all night for fresh air. A decent place for most, certainly not complaining, but I will seek a different accommodation if in the area again on account of the air quality given my health condition.
best stay of our road trip! room was clean and spacious! pool was clean and big. Hot tub was nice. Breakfast was really good, clean, and organized. located right off highway. friendly staff all around. will definitely stay again.
Everything is nice, beds, a.c. cleanliness, wifi and roominess. The one issue is the bedding, the bedclothes were very nice. However, when I got into bed, I noticed my feet were touching the mattress pad, not the sheet. so I pulled back the covers and discovered that the bottom sheet, which was not fitted, was too small to cover the head and the foot of the bed. The next morning I realized that whoever made the bed, put the sheet on sideways. Both beds in the room were made this incorrect way. The foot and head were short, but the sides were way long. You'd think something this simple would not happen.
After a long drive from Phoenix it was a nice place to stay the night. The room was very clean..they have a pool and serve breakfast..would definitely stay there again if in the area. There are nearby restaurants, gas stations, ect. So it is a convenient area to stay in.
I always check reviews when picking a hotel in a town or city with which I'm unfamiliar, and Best Western Town & Country Lodge in Tulare, CA definitely seemed to be my best choice. I found the hotel to be as described by other reviewers. It is easily accessible from Highway 99, and the property looked well taken care of. Of particular importance to me was that the parking lot seemed well lit and safe, and as I was traveling with a rental car, the safety of the car was important to me. All of the hotel employees I encountered during my stay were friendly and professional. I was also acknowledged as a Diamond Elite Best Western member when checking in--something that doesn't always get mentioned when I am checking into hotels of this brand. The room I was assigned to was clean and had everything I needed. The bed and bedding were quite comfortable. I also found the breakfast the next morning to have a lot more options than comparable hotels, so that was a plus. I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again and I would definitely recommend it to other travelers. Lastly, I thought that the cost of my stay was quite reasonable compared to what I had paid at other hotels during this particular trip.
I have started at this hotel every time I have been in the area. Service is excellent as soon as you enter the property. Great customer service! Clean rooms! Beds are so comfortable! Property is near many restaurants and grocery.
This is a well-maintained best western off Highway 99 in Tulare appears to be remodeled recently clean and comfortable. All the breakfast is wonderful. All the staff is excellent. Everything is perfect. I would recommend staying here. There's a a lot of good things about this location number one is it's quiet it's comfortable.
Nice staff, well-kept clean place, clean and well attended breakfast room. I enjoyed my stay. I also could walk to a good place, Apple Annie's, to get my dinner and had a very nice meal. It is located in an easy-on-east off location off the freeway which was helpful.
Great Customer Service, very Cleanliness, recommend to all, Pool area, GYM and breakfast are great and the staff very polite and friendly always asking if you need anything. Check in Clerks are very friendly and helpful. TY
The BW in Tulare is a great place to stay. The facility inside and out are well maintained. Employees are very friendly and diligent in accomplishing their duties. No odors, no bugs, no stains. I would stay at this hotel again and would strongly recommend it to others.
.Clean rooms and public areas, well run property with good service. Good location good breakfast. Attentive staff. Easy checkin. Restaurants nearby, we tried Apple Annie's and liked it. Easy freeway access.
Super nice hotel. We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite. On a six week cross country trip, it was so nice to get a small break from our two kids by having our own bedroom, with a door. They had a TV and so did we, so no fighting over shows. We used this as base camp to go and see the Sequoias. It was about an hour away from the hotel. The breakfast was nice and we were able to walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner the two nights we were there. Would absolutely stay again!!
Nice place could use some updates but nice and clean, good staff, Very clean pool and hot tub, and patio area. Shower water pressure a little on low side. Plenty of option in walking distance would recommend staying here.
Had to change plans at last minute due to Lake Tahoe smoke so decided to visit Kings Canyon & Sequoia NPs. I have stayed here before so knew it was very close to the Parks + supermarkets/local amenities. Just off of Hwy-99 as well. Hotel is clean, pool area is a sun trap and the breakfasts are one of the best we have had from a BW. Recommend the yoghurt maker with compote and granola, as well as the fruit.
Everything is excellent, excellent room, excellent internet, beds comfortable, excellent breakfast. Only concern is the window darkening blind does not keep all of the light out. Bring eye patches if you need total darkness to sleep.
Always go with Best Western while traveling. Everything (room, dining room, etc.) was nice and clean as I expected. Highly recommended for travelers. The location is convenient for people who needs to have city tours or go to national parks.
Clean rooms fridge and microwave in room the bed was very comfortable I slept well there are black out blinds which is nice if you sleep during the day a/c works great truck parking friendly staff amazing rate free breakfast very tasty and if you leave early they give you a to go bag they have a gym and and a pool and vending machines close to a lot of food and town
I chose this BW because it was closed to Human Bean (my fav coffee shop), and it's also close to the Sequoias. I was traveling alone, heading home from a vacation, and I trust BW to have clean rooms. I was planning to stay in Bakersfield as it's a little bit closer to the 1/2 way point to my house, but alas... Human Bean!
We stayed at this Hotel for one night but it was the most comfortable and best night's sleep we had had in nearly 2 months. After a trouble free check-in we found our room to be well appointed and the bed very comfortable. It was quiet with all amenities clean and adequate. The bonus was the inclusion of a large Buffet breakfast that was delicious and abundant. This Hotel was also close to food outlets for a hearty Dinner before retiring for a relaxing and restful night. Definately recommend.
It was great experience and very clean and the pool is access 24 hrs and breakfast is good. I stay over the long weekend it was good and there are so many restaurants near by which are walkable distance . They have semi parking as well.
We stayed here 2 night recently, while making day trips to Sequoia/ Kings Canyon National parks. (About 1 hour away) The room are spacious and clean. They have a small fridge and microwave. The property has a nice pool area, small work out room and laundry facility. Breakfast was the normal BW fare, and the hot dishes were good. There was plenty of parking. We didn't eat in Tulare, we made the 15-20 minute drive to downtown Visalia and hit up a few breweries and restaurants there.
Always reliable, clean, comfortable, safe, convenient and affordable, that's why I prefer Best Western over other hotels. I really love the points I accumulate so quickly !! It pays off and is really cool when I get a free nights stay. I love that I can bring my cat if he needs to travel with us as well.. great place to stay in my opinion and my kids love it to. I've stayed at Best Westerns in Big Bear, Montana, Monterey, Thousand Oaks , Laguna Beach, Clovis, Fresno , Tulare, Selma , and Marin County. I'm sure there's a couple places I forgot about, but every time , we love it!!!
Friendly and helpful staff. Room was big and clean. Small gym, pool and jacuzzi, and washer and drier that may come in handy in the future. Quiet neighborhood with restaurants nearby. Highway 99 also close by.
I travel often for work assignments. My last 3 day job was at the World AG Expo in Tulare CA 2/8-9-10/2022. I really like BW Hotels and try to stay at those properties when I can. My assignment was given to me late. The hours that I work while on assignment make it impractical for me to travel far from my hotel to the work location. Because my work assignment was late getting to me I had to expedite getting a room. Unfortunately, most of the nicer properties were booked and having knowledge of lesser properties, I chose this BW. Unfortunately, this BW chose to jack up their rates 3+ times their normal rate. I was somewhat desperate at that point to get a clean room, I wound up paying nearly $383 dollars a night! Yes, the hotel was very good, the service good and typical for BW my stay was good. I appreciated the fact that I was 5 miles from my work, I DID NOT APPRECIATE THAT BW TOOK ADVANTAGE AND USED THIS OPPORTUNITY TO GOUGE CUSTOMERS. If this is the attitude and trend for BW I will avoid engaging their property again. Yes, it was my decision and the price was not a surprise as it was posted but 3x the normal rate????No, next time another franchise will be a better option
The room was good and clean. They had a lady serving scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage and bagels for breakfast. You could make your own waffles and have cold cereal. It is nice to have a hot breakfast.
This motel is in a convenient location which close to the freeway. It's always kept clean and the staff is always very friendly. The breakfast items that are offered are awsome! The rooms are always cleaned and stocked as well as the appliances inside the room are so convenient
Staff was very friendly and nice, room good, and hotel was very quite. Pet friendly! There were many facilities near by for eating, etc. they actually had a staff member to cook breakfast. The biscuits and sausage were good.
This is a win-win - great location, friendly and efficient staff, beautiful big rooms. The staff here also takes covid precautions seriously. We stopped after a horrendous traffic day and arrived after midnight (8 hours after we expected). The staff at the front desk was very efficient and helpful, got us signed in right away and on our way to a lovely big room on the main floor - wonderful when you have a dog with you. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was nice - soft fluffy white towels. The hotel was quiet. The parking lot is well lit and feels safe. We'll stop here often!
The hotel is relatively new and caters to a mixture of travellers including trucking companies and workers. We were not only amazed at how clean the hotel was but also the parking lot and surface. This was important to us as we travel with a small dog. Our stay was quiet and restaurants are within walking distance. Off and on ramps to the freeway are quick and easy. Staff are great and helpful.
Spacious clean rooms, close to all kinds of eating place. Hotel offers hot breakfast and a variety of choices. Although it was near the frontage road, we slept well and didn't hear any exterior noise.
This will have been my 4th stay here. I attend events with my horse at the Agri Center. Rooms are immaculate and customer service exceptional Unfortunately due to covid the bar was closed but breakfast was good with a nice selection of food that I could take to go. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We travel with our dog a lot, so, I do have to say that this is one of those places where you have to sign your life away that you will not leave your dog alone in the room. There was a small relief area for dogs, but it also happened to be the smoking area for the hotel. The rooms were very nice and we enjoyed our stay.
Thanks go out to the wonderful staff. We were allowed an extended check out time due to our 12:30 am late check in. We were very happy with our limited stay. The hotel was clean and our room was spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great.
Check in was quick, front desk staff was friendly. Room was spotless. Accommodated our need for a rollaway. Complimentary breakfast was good- cereal, waffle machine, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, etc. Outdoor pool and hot hub were both clean. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great experience at this motel. We stayed for eight nights and are pleased with the visit. The full breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. The reception staff and housekeeping staff were also very nice and friendly. Access to the rooms was from and interior hallway with key access to enter the hallway.
The room and facility were really nice, but what really made the stay exceptional was the staff. The front desk staff and the breakfast attendant were cheerful, friendly and very attentive. They really understand hospitality and obviously make it a priority. My stay here far exceeded my expectations and I would recommend to anyone I know traveling through California.
The check in process is very easy. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The breakfast to go was very good, a lot of variety. The lodge is very easy to get to and located by lots of fast food, restaurants and grocery store.
It was a nice location, all within 5 mins (or less) of tons of nearby restaurants, shops, etc (Starbucks, Smart/Final, Walmart, shopping outlets). I most appreciated the COVID adjustment made to continue to provide guests the complimentary hot breakfast that is included. They have staff behind the counter with a plexiglass shield in front. You can request all of the items you would like and they graciously accommodated you, even provided a tray to carry items back to your room. The hot breakfast was limited than what has been available previously (at other BW we've stayed at), but there was still more than enough options to keep us happy and our bellies full.
We are currently here for a Volleyball tournament. The front desk staff was very friendly upon check-in. Our room seems to have been recently redone. Very clean and updated. I really like having the mini-fridge and microwave in our room. The beds and pillows were also very comfy. They also have a small pool with a BBQ and tables. What more do you need? We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area!
We were well accommodated and enjoyed the services offered, such as breakfast and lounge. The pool was not open to the public because of the regulations, which is understandable. The hotel and guest room were very clean and organized. Overall, it was a delightful stay. Thank you Best Western.
Very nice large room. Comfortable bed, daily housekeeping if requested. Very good breakfast. Kind of slow Internet. Had a little hard time using their computer at the business center. It was super slow, and hard to do anything. At least I was able to end up doing what I needed, even though it took a long time, and I as able to print 2 pages.
I was there for 1 night during a visit at the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. Conforatble bed and all the standard BW items. Pool was in operation duiring Covis-Sars 19 - to my surprise. Did not go for breakfast as the start was to late for me.
Stayed here for the weekend as we where planning on visiting sequoia and Yosemite. One on Saturday and one on Sunday. It was one of the only hotels that had breakfast! We checked a few. Not prepackaged snacks actual warm food! It was also close to many food places and shopping!
We needed a room late at night and last minute. I found this location on a 3rd party site. I was offered a better discount through the Best Western rewards so I booked it. When I arrived was pleasantly surprised to find it super clean and updated. They did have some construction going on but we were not impacted by it. It is a great feeling to show up at a clean, updated, safe hotel. Thank you very much.
Good place nice friendly good room and nice and clean no noise in looky bad times was when the dog was barking rite before 8am that was the only thing u can say was bad about it rather then that everything was grest
The hotel is right off the 99, there is food and a full bar in the Hotel, close by there are good restaurants, lots of parking for cars to semi trucks, clean rooms and fresh comfortable bed. Whenever I am in Tulare this is where I stay! Great Value!
Great place to stay. would definitely rate a 5 star. pet friendly is also a plus. Cozy little lounge with decent prices. Room was spacious and comfortable. Beds where great. Couldn't have asked for a better 2 nights stay.
Comfortable and clean. Decent toiletries. Reasonable rate. The scrambled eggs at breakfast seem to be real eggs and not the reconstituted crap - bravo!! Only issue was guests slamming doors at 6 am so maybe some sound-proofing is in order.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Price was good and I was just looking for a place to stay that night. I was so comfortable at this hotel and had a bunch of computer / phone work to do I decided to stay for several days. Lots of restaurants in walking distance and oversized parking for trucks or pickups pulling large trailers made this place a winner for me.
Our stay was exactly as expected. Clean fresh room. Great breakfast with many choices. Would highly recommend. Easy to get on & off freeway. Comfortable bed. Quick check in and check out with professional staff.
Jim and I travel a lot. And our Brittany spaniel goes with us. All of us were made to feel very welcome and accommodated all of our needs. The breakfast buffet is awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the way to Arizona and on the way back home.
The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. There were nice pictures of redwoods on the walls. The breakfast buffet was good. All rooms were accessed from inside and there was no elevator for 2nd story accommodations, but We would stay here again.
I stay here about once a year, visiting relatives in the area. It's a clean, well-kept property, and a consistently solid value. But watch out for that TripAdvisor rating. It applies if and only if you're willing to ignore the following: *No elevators *VERY old property. Right now it's undergoing another rehab, and everything in my room works flawlessly. But there's a definite Time Machine aspect to the layout and the fitments. *Again, it's a clean, solid value--which means that it's a favorite of work crews. The guys come in early and leave early, and don't come here to get drunk and break bottles in the parking lot. But if you arrive between roughly three and six in the afternoon, there will usually be small crowd of workers coming in off the job, standing around by the second entrance, considerable cigarette smoke, loud talk, muddy boots, and backing in of work trucks. So if that's going to bother you, I suggest booking a room upstairs on the side of the building away from the parking lot.
Clean quite room. The road was close ahead do to weather. Parking lot was full of trucks. However it was quite. Breakfast room was noisy. Breakfast room was dirty, out of coffee. We had food delivered. Pizza was good.
we often stay in Tulare, this will e our new stay at location, above average breakfast, good channel selection, and nice decor, join Best Western rewards and get the promo price like we do, saved us over 20 %, a good nights rest.
Wonderful time at this hotel! Comfortable bed, attractive, well appointed room. The breakfast was delicious with hot food, fruit, and wonderful array of breads. Coffee, juices, and extras such as salsa. They also have a washer and dryer convenient.
This hotel continues to go above and beyond in customer service. They are continually upgrading to all the latest things. The staff treat you like family. The rooms are spacious and cozy. I would recommend this BW to anyone.
Everything was excellent. Breakfast. Room size. Wifi. Check in. Check out. Loads of parking. I never knew how nice a Best Western could be until I booked this one! When i make my trips out here I'll definitely sleep here again.
A great place to stay. Friendly staff and very helpful. They have very clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast is great With really good selection. Conveniently located with easy access on and off the highway.
Maria, the front desk Director of Sales at the Tulare location, went above and beyond to assist me in finding transportation. Being out of town I had wrongly expected ride share drivers to be available on request, but was unfortunately wrong. I had taken the train and did not have my own car to travel and upon telling Maria about my issue she contacted various taxi companies to take me to a conference the next day at 6:30am. Maria noticed my frustration for lack of availability and contacted the services and even called my room to provide me with their correct number. Thanks to Maria I was able to attend the conference and not miss the whole reason I was in Tulare in the first place. Maria made my experience and incredible one filled with hope. Thank you Maria!!!
great hotel very clean always cookies and juices in lobby. people are friendly with great rates .breakfast could use whole milk not is 2% milk maybe more fruit beside that over all its pretty good. Thank you
Staff was polite and helpful, nice places to eat close by and some in walking distance. Room was clean and very comfortable. Easy to get to from the main road. Good lighting in the parking lot and space available for large vehicles
If there is a Best Western at our destinations that is where we will stay. The Best Western in Tulare was clean, friendly, and the breakfast was amazing!! I will be devastated if any Best Western lets us down in the future after staying at this location.
Best Western Town and Country is an excellent option when visiting Tulare ! The property is CLEAN. The rooms are CLEAN and very comfortable. The Lounge area is nice and the COMPLEMENTARY Breakfast was abundant and DELICIOUS ! The only thing that would have made my stay better was if I could have stayed LONGER !
Enjoyed our 2 day day, everything was in order, room was clean and comfortable. The pool was clean, spa was being used. The bar lounge area was awesome with #freshbrewed popcorn! Yaaaasss... the bottled beer was priced right and so.was the Gray Goose!
Comfortable place to stay as one travels Highway 99. Access off and on to 99 is easy. Rooms are easily accessed and offer a quiet setting. We did not take breakfast because of need to leave early due to detour because of road closure further down our line of travel, but it looked inviting as we walked by it. The lounge with bar and short menu looked inviting but we passed as our arrival was such that dinner a short walk down the road was in order.
The hotel was clean and had a great breakfast. The front desk was very helpful and kind. Overall the hotel was great, We will always stay at a best western. The location was perfect for what we needed to do on our trip.
I was hesitant about staying in Tulare. But my mind was changed when I walked in. Everything was super clean and Maria was very professional at the check in. She even suggest that I go to the lounge for Free Popcorn. In the lounge, everyone was very welcoming.Overall, it was a great experience!
Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was hot, room was a very nice size, and everyone was very helpful. They know the details of Sequoia National Forest and can tell the easy in and out routes.
Great stay. Stay at a Best Western at least once a month. Always have a good experience. Clean rooms, helpful staff. I will continue to stay at Best Westerns for at least several more years. My family will also continue to use Best Westerns for our Business and Personal travels.
Check-in and check-out at this hotel were both easy. The room was basic, clean, and quiet. The air conditioning unit in our room needed more oomph and struggled to keep the room comfortable. Had we visited on a truly hot day, I suspect that we would have been complaining to the hotel management about that.
We stayed here three days while our house was being worked on. The room was nice, and staff was helpful. It was priced very nicely. The facility was full, but it was still very quiet at night. I've run out of things to say, but Trip Advisor has insisted i keep typing to get to 200 words.
This hotel is accommodating to business travelers who never know where they will end up. Clean. Convenient. Close to all kinds of restaurants. They can fill up, but they always find me space. Very friendly
This hotel is my go to when I'm in tulare the check in and out always fast the rooms are clean and comfortable great internet connections rooms have a coffee maker and refrigerator plenty of hot water for showers and very quiet rooms
a typical effective and convenient hotell one the way from/to Yosemite. spacious rooms with a typical BW breakfast. nice staff and close to restaurants. free parking. the pool is small and had no heating.
I spent one night in this hotel and the person at check in was not very friendly welcoming us. I came later to complain about the noise that was coming from the close parking lot, and I noticed that she was very warm and willing to help an American guest. When it was my turn again she went back to unfriendly mood. I asked to change the rooms (we booked 2 rooms) but only one quiet room was available. The following day another person was there for check out and again not a friendly approach. The room was nice, the beds comfortable and the breakfast quite good, but we couldn't feel to be welcomed guests
Still 40 minutes away, but the closest decent hotel I could find near Sequoia NP. Very friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, pool is decent, lots of options at the breakfast buffet. Close to highways and lots of restaurants in the area. Would stay here again.
As in true fashion, once again the staff was pleasurable, friendly and helpful. I always choose this particular Best Western when on the road and need to stay over for a night (or more). They go above and beyond to make the check-in process easy; and the stay a good one. Clean, friendly, personable. I will be staying here again in the future.
Rooms - clean & nice Breakfast- excellent Check-in - in few minutes Check-out - in seconds :D Nice restaurants within walking distance, gives 10% discount for BW guests Shopping mall, pharmacy close by About an hour and half drive from Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks
Everything was nearby, the staff was nice, and I loved the breakfast and bar! The room was clean, the pool was clean, and it was for a very reasonable price. Keep up the great work! I would 10/10 recommend!
Booked Best Western because of reviews and wasn't misled. The room was small but comfortable and clea. We had good breakfasts each morning at the buffet. The front desk gave us great directions to the Sequoias because the GPS didnt know how to get there efficiently. Would definitely use this BW again.
Our family was driving late at night and ended a hotel for a few hours. We called and Andrew delightfully answered our call and was waiting for us when we arrived. He was extremely friendly, upbeat and energetic! We were exceptionally satisfied with the rooms and the continental breakfast which was included in the price of the room. Overall, we were very impressed with the property and hotel staff. Thank you Best Western!!
I stayed for 2 nights at the Tulare CA Best Western hotel. It was great. The room was very comfortable. It was clean and in excellent condition. It was really quiet. I was a little concerned because the breakfast room was directly across the hall - but in the morning I never heard when they were setting up or when people were passing my room to get their breakfast, which was very good with lots of options. I would definitely stay again.
Wonderful and comfortable place too stay. Very clean and comfy. Comfy beds enough space for me and my family. Breakfast was great. Housekeeping was great. Clean towels clean sheets. Enjoyed all the bed covers .
Good for an overnight stay before Sequoia National Park coming from Las Vegas (6 hr. drive). Perhaps a little closer to the park would have gotten our day off to an earlier start. Good value with the included hot breakfast for a family and was pet friendly. Comfy beds, clean room and fast wifi.
Room was very nice, great mattress, clean, breakfast was good, staff super friendly. We saw somebody walking around the pool arranging and cleaning chairs, providing towels etc. but at closer look there were dead bugs, spiders and grass in the pool, not quite understandable, why it was not cleaned
Stayed here overnight on a Cosmos tour. Very nice large room and beds were very comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly. Nice free breakfast. Ideal for passing through on a road trip. there is nut much to do around there. A few resturants around hotel Apple Annies was the best next to hotel.
I stayed at the BW for three nights. The accommodations were as expected with clean, adequately appointed rooms, a TV; the staff were friendly and accommodating. The charges were modest. I would stay here again.
The room at BW was very nice, the bed was super comfortable and shower was great for tall people. Getting to the room was a problem we were on the 2 nd floor this hotel has no elevator I'm am disabled due to congestive heart failure stairs are a major inconvenience to say the least trying to lug our luggage up the stairs was terrible.at check in we asked for a first floor room and were told they were sold out.at no time did any hotel staff offer to help us. The next morning at check out we asked what we could do to get a first floor room on any future visit .We were told we could make a request but it was not guaranteed. So this is now our last resort hotel when we visit family in Tulare.
Wanted to get out of our travel trailer for a few days. Facility has large, secure parking. Room was spacious and clean. Staff great. Spent 3 nights and used hotel as a base to explore national parks.
Should be a BW Plus..Exceptional experience. Fantastic breakfast best variety of hot and cold. All BW should be this good! Must stay when in area. Friendly service. Rooms were very clean. Terrific amenities.
Clean, safe and very comfortable. Excellent value for $80!. Great breakfast. Nice bar with friendly bartender on site with a welcoming 2 for 1 drinks coupon. Pet friendly. Highly recommend. Value can't be beat.
We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. The breakfast is wonderful. Nicely presented and hot. Maribella & Hortencia were the 2 people in the breakfast area and they made sure that everything was perfect!
People in the front office was friendly and helpful I enjoy staying there The rooms were clean and they smell good they had a good breakfast real good customer service Every time I go for a business trip I will stay in one of those hotels I highly recommend it
We drove down to Tulare for my son's competition at the Agri Cultural Center early Sunday morning so we chose to stay at the BW on Saturday afternoon. Location is great, close to stores (outlets) although we didn't shop and eateries nearby. Plenty of parking and staff was welcoming. The hotel itself is smaller in size and hallways are narrow. Our room was upstairs on the 2nd floor but I didn't see an elevator close by. Our room itself was adequate with all the essentials we needed. Refrigerator was a nice size, microwave was handy, and sink was outside of bathroom. Closet was non-existent as it was wide open behind the front door. The breakfast the next morning was meh for me. I didn't expect much to begin with. I was a bit disappointed as they did not serve bacon and instead had sausage. The eggs were not appetizing at all even though I topped them with cheese. The kids barely ate it. I made a waffle but it was strangely soggy. Breakfast was a bust for us. However, for a place to stay overnight in Tulare this place fits the bill. Bed was comfortable and quiet enough. We had a pleasant stay overall.
Breakfast We did not try the hot food selection in the warmer. The oatmeal was hot and good and the waffles were very good - first time we've seen a mixed fruit being offered that was fantastic on the waffle. Good coffee. Room We had a 2nd floor room which I believe is a more quiet setting. As motels upgrade and remove carpet, highest floor will become the more desirable room, even with no elevator, as this location does not have.
We stayed at this location because we were visiting family so did not spend to much time in the room. The hotel lobby and room were very clean. They have microwaves and mini fridge in the room which can come in handy. The room was comfortable overall. You can hear some noise from the road nearby but husband solved that issue with earplugs and slept like a log. I managed to tune it out eventually. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. No major complaints.
I always stay here in Tulare the front desk and staff are always so friendly and helpful the rooms are comfortable beds are fantastic good tv package and always plenty of hot Water breakfast is always tops the new updates outside and inside looking great.
This Best Western was at a half way point in a stressful road trip and was the perfect place to simply get a good nights sleep and breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, the rooms clean and comfortable. The oversize fridge and lobby drink amenities were great, the breakfast average for these places. I really appreciated the ground floor room and the ability to open the window and get fresh air!!!
Checkin was a breeze. 2 levels for the hotel but no elevator. Beds are unbelievably comfortable. Rooms are large. Microwave and nice side fridge. Haven't had breakfast yet but was impressed with the hotel especially after the last one. Close to Panda Express. Also good.
A quick trip to visit family was enhanced by my stay at Best Western. I knew I could enjoy my family time because, as usual, everything I needed for my overnight stay would be taken care of. And breakfast was excellent as usual.
Clean rooms, great breakfast and decent pricing. Staff is friendly and courteous. Will definitely be coming back. It's Tulare, not many great places to stay at but they have one of the best hotels. Thanks Best Western.
They needed some background music, but Frederick behind the bar was a great conversationalist and borderline tour guide. Between the good conversation decent god nice room and great tips where to go this makes for a great spot to drop by if you need a bite, to talk, a plate of food, or just a place to lay your head
Have stayed at this BW many times over the last fifteen years when visiting family in Tulare. It gets better everytime as they are always working on improvements. And yet, it remains an excellent value.
My stay was pleasant, the room was clean and fresh, Just remodeled I'd guess. Not impressed with the breakfast, as the breakfast room was being remodeled and breakfast was set up in a couple small rooms. Normally stay at a Hampton, but overall, this compared favorably. I'll be Back.
Very nice and clean accommodations. Bed was hard, but it was only for one night. Great price. Breakfast was disappointing, but in all fairness they are remodeling the breakfast room. Looks like it will be Very nice and have the ability to offer more than they were able in the temporary facility. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent value for money. For the price of the room, it was a good proposition. Very clean rooms. Staff was very helpful during check-in and also during check out. Room was clean and not smell at all. Fitness room is small with 2-3 treadmills. breakfast room was under renovation, so breakfast was provided in 2 rooms.
The hotel needed major repairs. The pool was not functional and the breakfast area was being repaired. External work created a great deal of noise. The staff was not friendly and refused to provide a receipt when I checked out.
Nice hotel near Sequoia National Park. It is less than 1 hour from Park entrance. Clean rooms and good breakfast. They serve eggs and burgers and many other good stuff. No problem with parking space. Free parking with monitoring.
This Best Western is conveniently located, it is close to highway 99. There are all type restaurants nearby. The room is clean and comfortable. I stay here everytime I travel to Tulare. The free breakfast saved me time in the morning.
We were in town for a National Riding event. We had been traveling for many hours (after a full work day), were tired, and probable a bit on the grumpy side. Andrew at the front desk did everything he could to make us happy at check in. Later in our stay we went to the bar/lounge where Maurice (I think that was his name) was personable and kind. It was amazing to hear about Tulare from someone born and raised there. The rooms themselves were like any other Best Western but the huge difference in this stay from the rest was definitely the customer service and staff. Well Done Guys!
I am 88 years of age & in all of my travels I have never found a place like B/W Town & Country Lodge, When you enter the office you are warmly greated & given full attention with the best service available, it is the only place to stay in Tulare, Ca.I hace stayed numberous times & there has always been the same service & breakfast. CLEAN,COMFORTABLE & QUIET.
The check in was quick and the staff were friendly and did everything to meet our needs. The pool was clean and the lounge chairs were clean and well maintained. We were offered 2 for 1 drink tickets to the lounge so we decided th just have some appetizers for supper. They weren't very good and wouldn't suggest you try this.the room was quiet and the beds were comfortable.
Best hotel in Tulare, Ca.Clean, great service, great breakfast. Walking distance to a lot of different eating places . All employee's are very helpful. Was a very pleasant stay for the weekend ! Highly recommended if your looking for a hotel in Tulare, Ca.
My husband and I left the LA area in the evening and wanted to drive part of the way up to Yosemite so we would arrive there first thing in the morning. We booked an overnight stay at the Best Western in Tulare. We arrived just before midnight. The check-in staff was very friendly, quick, and informative. She understood it was late and we just wanted to get to our room. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the air in these rooms. It's always so loud. However, at this price point, that's what you get and it wasn't any worse than any other motel room. The room included free breakfast. We did take advantage of that before we left to continue our trip up to Yosemite. It was a standard free motel breakfast. Things were fresh and clean. The staff was very nice.
Convenient stopping point along highway 99, especially when visiting Sequoia National Park, near the southern entrance of it via highway 198. Nice and clean rooms, good breakfast, overall good value for the money.
Lovely hotel with good size rooms which were clean. Very quick check in with helpful member of staff. Local restaurant just up the road which serves large portions. Good hot breakfast with a good selection.
Second time I stayed here and would definitely stay here again. Staff was great. Room was nice. Great restaurant in Apple Annie's a short walk from hotel. Stayed here when we went to Kings Canyon National Park. Would recommend if in area.
I've always had a mindset that a Best Western was in the same class as Motel 6 and I'm very happy they proved me wrong. This facility is very clean, the decor is very nice, the amenities are very well cared for to have the best experience as possible. The staff are very professional yet extremely friendly and helpful. When you drive up, the outside is a little deceiving as to what the inside has in store for you. While the outside looks clean and well cared for, it pretty much looks like a nice little hotel until you step foot inside. I was pleasantly surprised to how nice it was and how the staff immediately made me feel welcomed. The rooms are very nice, very clean and comfortable. The internet was pretty fast with no problems accessing it. Both my husband and I recommend this facility and will definitely be returning if we are ever in the area again. Oh and for a very good breakfast, check out Salles Cafe which is about 1/2 mile from the hotel.
No complaints. Rooms were spacious and clean with lots of amenities to get you by. Hotel areas were great, as were staff. Breakfast was ok and offered a great choice. We had oats, yoghurt and fruits which were enjoyable. Great hotel.
This was a pretty clean property where we stayed for a night of rest to break up a 10+ hour drive. It was clean, looks like they're painting the halls and making improvements. We did not stay for breakfast but the offerings looked decent. The usual Best Western breakfast fare. The shower/Restroom could have used a good scrub down on the walls, tiles etc, but was not a deal breaker. We slept good and felt safe. That's what really matters.
We have stayed at many BW locations, Best Western Town & Country Lodge is among the best. Very Clean! The staff was very courteous and warm. Breakfast was wonderful too. Waffles and sausage with eggs in addition to the usual fare. They also have a smal lounge if you're looking to unwind a little. If you're passing through or live near Tulare you wont go wrong if you stay at the Best Western Town & Country Lodge :-)
Excellent place to stay. Very nice layout. Very nice staff and great rooms. Near great food. Nice hot tub and pool. Was very hot when we were there but the rooms AC was excellent. Easily accessible. Great rate. I highly recommend it.
Really enjoyed our one night stay here. We arrived in the heat of late afternoon and enjoyed a swim in the small pool with towels provided. It also has a bbq area & hot tub. We had a large room with all of the expected facilities. A bonus was the bar and a voucher for 2 for 1 drinks. It was nice to chat to other people on our tour in this area, and after using the voucher, we thought drinks were reasonably priced anyway. The bar also served as a breakfast room with the standard complimentary BW breakfast. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. A very nice stopover
We had at blast at this place. Everything was amazing from the moment we arrived until we checked out. Terry at the check in desk was so great, gave us directions to the outlets and to the sequoia national park. We met Manuel and Tina and they were so curtious to us and helped us with everything we needed during our stay,. I would love to go back to Tulare soon,.
After being treated like dirt at the Ramada Northwest in Fresno, being told we could not stay there, my husband and I were forced to drive to find another hotel that we could stay in. Through the magic of cellphones, I found this hotel and found Maria, the front desk manager. She assured me that she had a room and when I arrived I found her even more accommodating than she was on the phone. She could tell I was extremely stressed and tired from the incident that happened an hour previously and she asked if there was anything she could do. I inquired about restaurants and she directed me to one complete with a five dollar off coupon. If that isn't enough, when we had a problem with the remote, she came immediately to our room and explained how it worked. The room was also very clean, comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. Parking was right outside the room. Wonderful stay after a day of frustration.
Very clean and comfortable. I was in town for work and this was a last minute choice but it is worth every dollar. They have a great bar on site that makes it easy to unwind. Breakfast was really good and I will stay again. Don't be afraid to give this hotel a try.
Love how the side entrance door is locked and secured! Great service and location! Cleanliness and quality of the room is excellent! Fabulous breakfast with variety choices! My son loves the fruit! Will return for sure in the future!
Stayed here one night. Big Room, Big T.V. microwave, Fridge, Coffee Maker, Bath/Shower. Comfortable Room and Bed. Pool and Hot Tub. Full Breakfast with 2 choices of Gluten Free cereal and hot an cold extras. Good Value .
this is a midprice hotel, not a super-fancy luxury hotel such as a Ritz-Carlton. but for a midprice hotel I give it a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. it is EXACTLY what I want for a hundred bucks. clean as a whistle, well-furnished rooms, great bed and linen, full bath, ALL the conveniences, fridge, microwave, iron & board, wide-screen TV, work desk, fast WiFi etc. friendly helpful staff. good location, quiet and safe. have been staying here for 25 years and will continue to do so.
Better than I expected. Microwave, mini refrigerator and good breakfast. We didn't use the pool or spa but was clean and available. All the regular breakfast items plus you could make your own waffles. Good beds. Great staff.
One of the best hotel during our trip. Good sized room, clean, quiet (we had a room at the back) and the most important thing: the window opens and has a mosquito protection. It was great to be able to open the window!! Breakfast is very average, nothing special. Staff at the check in was not very friendly, I would work on that...outlet is near the hotel.
Just stayed at the best western this week very nice n helpful staff . The breakfast nicely set up good food. I want to thank Terrie And Maria very friendly and helpful. I realized when I got home that my medical ID Bracelet was gone must have fell off at the hotel so I called and I got a call back from Tony at the best western in Tulare Ca saying we found it I'm so grateful n thankful he was very kind enough to send it back to me that way I don't have to buy another one which would take longer so thank u very much Jill Smith
Nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Included breakfast was good but with standard Best Western fare. We did not use any of the hotel's amenities other than trying to take a swim in the pool which was unheated and cold. Once the Central Valley's sun shines on it, it should heat up nicely. We would recommend this hotel.
Love this hotel! It's clean and spacious. There's lots of parking. It's conveniently located just off Hwy 99. An outside pool and hot tub are available, as well as a small workout room. The breakfast is well stocked with hot and cold choices...scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, waffles, toast, bagels, pastries, cereal, juice and coffee. We had room 105. The only complaint I have is that the smoking area was located just outside our window, and people gathered there to chat at all hours. So, if you're a light sleeper, avoid this room. You may also want to avoid staying on the side of the hotel that faces the highway as you can hear the cars go by throughout the night.
Room are huge and clean very nice for the price friendly staff good deals at the bar breakfast was also good and offered late checkout they have a pool and spa and very close to sequoia national parks
We stayed in this motel for two nights. The rooms are large, clean, and relaxing. Hot water in showers come fast. We are very satisfied with their hot breakfast. Staff members there are polite and helpful. Staying at this motel is definitely recommended.
i am a BW Rewards member and stay at many BW hotels throughout California, In general, BW hotels offer many amenities and have many conveniences. Food, Bar, Pool and some Jacuzi's. BW staff is very professional, helpful and friendly. Service is key for me and ranks high on my list. Most locations have good beds and can have a restful sleep. The only downer with the Tulare BW Hotel is the beds are soft and in need of replacement. Other than this, it is an excellent BW hotel. I stay here all the time.
Really nice place to stay. I was staying only one night on my way to Texas, wish I had the time to stay longer and see what was around. We checked in late at night and there was no problems and the staff was friendly and awake, lol.
In my line of work I stay in various hotels and I have come to Tulare's Best Western for the past 4 years. It is very affordable for our non-profit group and they treat you really good. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is quiet. A good selection at the bar which you get a voucher for a free drink when you buy one. I have never used their patio or their pool and jacuzzi because I stay at work very long hours and just come to it to sleep but the rooms are spacious and very comfortable.
We had a great stay in Tulare recently. Our stay in the Best Western Town & Country Lodge was superb! We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was out of this world! We will definitely be back!
Good hotel in Tulare right off Exit 88 on S 99 Tulare Ca. Large clean well furnished rooms, good comfortable bed. Room has all the necessities. Bar open in the evenings on premises, good breakfast in the AM. Friendly helpful staff.
This is an excellent hotel in which we booked 1 night originally and decided to stay one more night. This sum up our feeling succinctly. What is more impressive in our mind, however, is that this hotel is well balanced in its qualities. We would give every one of its aspects a 9 out of 10 mark. We feel this is a much better situation than getting an average of 9 from a mixture of tens and eights or less. In the latter case you may expect some downfalls, which should not happen in Town and Country Lodge. It goes without saying that we strongly recommend T&CL.
Really enjoyed my stay. Lots of extra coupons for food appetizers at the bar inside the hotel (bar is located inside the breakfast area) they have bar appetizers and coupons for free cocktails... So you don't have to order take out or drive somewhere in a city you don't know. Big perk for me.. Especially after a long drive,. Dog Friendly. Breakfast was huge! Fruit, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy waffles yogurt, toasts cereals muffins apple and orange juice coffee ! Room comes with fridge and microwave. Free Wifi. Room was quiet beds had extra blankets. If I am in the area again I will stay here. Thanks Best western Your staff was very helpful and very friendly to us!
The staff at Best Western Tulare are fabulous, I can't think of anything else they could possibly do to make my stays any better than they are. When traveling as much as I do for business, I never even give it a second thought as to what hotel I will be staying in, Best Western by far is the only hotel chain that does it right, every time!
I have visited this hotel twice a year for 8 years. It is consistently extremely well maintained, always clean, always friendly. The breakfast buffet is superior to that offered in other hotels of its size and price.
Very very reasonable rate for a big room two queen beds room is big enough for family very clean has everything you need flat TV ,small fridge ,microwave ,coffee maker and Wi-Fi free parking free breakfast I can't ask for more it's A great deal!!
There are many hotels in the area due to the outlet mall. I am very glad we chose the Best Western. It was clean, comfortable, pleasant staff, and a good breakfast. Plus we paid in advance so got a very nice discount! We will definitely return on our next trip thru Tulare.
We had a great family get away! Would recommend, great service , friendly staff, peaceful place were you can actually rest and have fun. My family was really happy with everything and the rooms are pretty clean
A grain company needed new level equipment calibrated before Christmas, the trip was a last second requested, because I was taken sometime off between Christmas and New Years and the client needed to unload rail cars in the silo, the week I would be on vacation. .
My stay was great. Hotel was very clean and employees were very nice. I would absolutely stay here again. I recommend this location to anyone looking for a great stay in a hotel . It's in a great location with restaurants and shopping center close by.
For work travel, I always book my stays at Best Western hotels. I can count on a great room, friendly staff, in room coffee, WiFi, and a convenient breakfast. Most have lounge areas that I can collaborate with colleagues to prep for our presentations. Staff also make great dinner recommendations and the hotel has coupons to local businesses!
I liked the hotel, facilities and cleanness. We loved the breakfast, lots of variety. Close to freeway, restaurants and stores. Staff was friendly and had a very nice sleep. Another thing we liked was that the rooms I reserved had refrigerator and microwave. Worth for the money.
Had a good visit every thing excellent, all appliances worked, room clean, television great, coffee good, parking suitable. Check-in and check-out was fast and pleasant, staff helpful and professional. Good nights rest.
Thank you for a great stay. Breakfast and all the service best western has to offer was excellent. Really clean room and comfortable beds to sleep in all the staff are really nice and really glade that my kids also enjoyed the stay.
We found the motel near any shopping place & close to good restaurants.Very nice room with one of the best quick breakfast's in a neat location in the motel. The people who operate this place did everything right & with a smile, very pleasant, neat & clean, I did not have to wait to be signed in or out. Everything was wonderful & I will be back there on my next trip.
We had such a wonderful time and it was so relaxing to stay here. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was so yummy and the staff was very hospitable. We will be sure to stop here again in the future.
We stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. Rates were reasonable. Lotsa fast food options. Couple of Diners nearby. Sally's. So if IHOP is busy, you could try this diner near the hotel. Opens as early as 5 am and closes at 2pm. Location is good. If you are there to visit Sequoia National Park, then it's a good choice. Dint have a chance to eat breakfast here so can't comment on that. There are couple of Indian restaurants at 17-20 mins distance, if that's something you like. Mexican restaurant too. The neighborhood was stinking! Tulare itself! Some kinda sewage?? No idea what but it stank! Nothing inside the hotel room, that's a relief. Bathroom was clean, pleasant staff. Overall pleased, except the stink!
Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and roomy. Had king-size bed that was firm and not soft. Room smelled a little musty but then it had been raining. Breakfast is early, from 6 to 9. We normally sleep late but this was no problem with breakfast. Even though we came in at a quarter to 9, there was still plenty of fresh food and the attendant asked if we needed anything else.
We ended up driving Hwy 99 instead of I5 from all the scary trip advisor quaint hotels on i5 along our road trip in-between LA and San Fran. Best western in Tulare did not disappoint us. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice shower, flat screen and updated furniture. When I asked about noise, the front desk recommended the second floor as not to hear the upstairs neighbors. Breakfast was good, a lot of travelers stayed here, there were about 7 others up and having breakfast at 0630 with us. Would stay here again.
Rooms were clean had a strange smell but nothing that would bother to much, small hotel not in the best of neighborhood but the area does not have many options. A good idea would be to call them direct as they had better rate than what I had paid. The pool was small but usable and breakfast was decent but the breakfast area is small.
Lovely hotel, pulled up after a long drive the last on reception was friendly & efficient. Room was more than adequate really spacious & quiet nights sleep, breakfast was included. Room has coffee facilities & microwave. Close by an outlet village and a large walmart
excellent, very satisfied with the front desk and greeting as my guest arrived they are always greeted and known every time they arrive for our events they prefer no where else but there to stay. I would recommend to anyone passing through
We live in southern CA and were going to the Sacramento area, and didn't want to drive all in one day, so we decided to stop halfway overnight. This is a great place to do that. We stayed one night each on the way up and back. We stayed here last year, and were so happy with the Best Western Town & Country that we came back this year. We received excellent value. The room is very comfortable, and has a microwave and a refrigerator. The freezer did make condensation noise, but it didn't keep us up. The room was spotless. Both the extra blanket and TV remote were freshly cleaned. The easy chair has an ottoman and is very comfy. The bed is very comfortable, and not too firm. The shower is very nice. Although very close to the freeway, the insulation is good, and I slept well. The free breakfast is quite good, and is a full breakfast, not just continental. There are eggs and sausages, as well as a waffle iron. The breakfast room is also open in the evening as a lounge. Food is available, and although the menu is limited, the quality is excellent. The hotel provides vouchers for use in the lounge which are a 2 for one. They are usable for food and drinks. We appreciated being called when the food was ready. We wouldn't hesitate to come back.
This Best Western Hotel had everything I could have wanted to make my stay satisfying! The breakfast was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the proximity to freeways was quite convenient. I made note of all of these things so that I will remember to use Best Western whenever I travel to this city.
Everything about the hotel was nice. Was honestly surprised it was as nice while still being affordable. The staff was helpful. The room was clean. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Bed was comfortable. Couldn't have asked for more.
Convenient location near highway, but hotel is lacking any personal touch. Soulless. Staff friendly. It was very kind of the lady to allow us to have breakfast 5 minutes after close. I can imagine it can be rather crowded at peak breakfast-times.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Even with all the pets, kids and weary travelers through the night checking in, it still was an A+ stay. We received free drink coupons, which were needed after our long drive that day. The room was clean and comfortable and we never worried about our belongs in our rig with all the lighting which made it a safe area. Staff were wonderful and were there for whatever you needed. The only reason for the 4 star was being woken a lot by the ice machine in the hallway by the lounge and then the staff out there in the very early morning getting ice for the breakfast bar, but the stay itself was a 5 Star. The breakfast bar had many items to chose from with something for everyone. Best Western seems to be stepping up their game. Keep this up and BW will be our choice of lodging while we travel.
After many hours of driving, this Best Western has a lounge on-site where you can have adult beverages and light snacks. In the morning the lounge turns into a breakfast room and the offerings were excellent. The room is typical of BW reliability...clean, comfortable bed, small but well appointed room. Helpful and friendly staff. I hope someone tells the man who started his turbo-charged pick-up truck outside our room at 6 am and left it turbo-blasting while he packed up his duds that his actions are really obnoxious.
This hotel is a winner - easy access from freeway, rooms are clean, light and bright, friendly staff, great breakfast, close to shopping. We had to cancel a reservation in Mammoth Lakes due to road closure from Yosemite, we were happy to come back here instead for a second night on our way back to Las Vegas.
This Best Western in my opinion has the best staff, breakfast, and rooms. I've never been in a better Best Western to date. I would highly recommend if you want a nice bed to sleep in and peace and quiet.
Friendly staff and clean rooms. I really like Best Western Hotels. I recommend this place. I've stayed here several times and never had a problem with my stay. Places to eat near by and the hotel features a lounge for food and drinks
I stay at this hotel every time I travel to Tulare. The location is very convenient. It is close to highway 99 and there are all type of restaurants near by. The free breakfast has everything needed to start a good morning. The rooms facing the back of the building is very quiet.
This hotel is right off of the freeway. it is not, however, 7.5 miles from the city center of Visalia...more like 15 miles. It is nice and clean, offers and adequate breakfast and is near several other places to eat. It is also about 2 miles from the Tulare Outlets.
A true sample of excellent hospitality, we had a wonderful experience from check in thru to check out. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Rooms are comfy and roomy very clean and remodeled. Family lounge to pass the evening hours was great. Breakfast was tasty a lot of variety. We will surely go back.
Was on our way home from Oregon. We booked this stay in advance. Staff was very friendly and professional. Room very clean. Would certainly stay here again Very nice room. The only thing bad about this review is that trip advisor is making me use 200 letters before i can submit.
Excellent place to stay, clean, friendly, always get the reservations correct. Breakfast is awesome. Internet service is great. Perfect location in town ( Tulare , CA ) I would give this place a 5 Star rating. have always felt totally comfortable while staying at this location. Housekeepers are all very friendly as well. I recommend everyone I know to this hotel, all racers that come to town I give them all to Best Western Hotel. Thanks for your great service Tony, Maria, Terry. From Lisa Miller
We had stayed in some Best Western Plus hotels while on vacation, and had earned a $60 travel card from Best Western. In order to spend it, we departed from our normal Hilton brand and tried the Best Western Town & Country Lodge in Tulare. This was not a “Best Western Plus” hotel, and I was a bit disappointed. I think that this property was on the lower end of Best Western hotels. Check-in was efficient, and we drove from the lobby to our room. The rooms are all accessible from inside corridors, but there is no elevator to reach the second floor (which was where our room was located). We had requested a quiet room, so we had been assigned a second floor room on the backside of the hotel not facing the freeway. It was indeed quiet. The hallways were a bit dingy, warm, and stuffy, although they have older furniture where you can relax near the stairways (it did not look at all inviting or relaxing). Our room itself was OK, but a bit “tired and dated.” The bathroom sink was outside of the toilet/shower room, and had tile floor in this area of the room; the rest of the room was carpeted. The vanity was rather small and did not allow much room for toiletries or a small case to set without being too close to the sink. There was an open closet (no door) near the room entrance door. The bed was relatively comfortable (although we always bring our own goose-down pillows to hotels), and was flanked by two ample nightstands with lights. A flat screen TV across from the bed had a fair selection of programming. The small refrigerator was useful to us. The HVAC system was mounted under the window, and did an adequate job of keeping the room cool from the outside the heat. The view out the window was less than desirable (junky neighbors), so we kept our blinds closed. The pool is accessed from the breakfast room, which doubles as a bar on weekday evenings. The bar was closed on weekends (when we were there), and therefore the pool seemed to also be closed, which seemed strange. But perhaps this was because there was a water leak in this area, and the first floor hallway carpets were soaking wet near the breakfast room, with a maintenance man desperately trying to dry them out with fans. The breakfast was OK, but nothing special. Seating was adequate for the number of people eating while we were there. For the $60 discount we received, this property was certainly worth the price. But I would not go back if I had to pay the regular price for this hotel.
Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. About an hours drive in. No problems with any of the stay. Good size room and well decorated. Breakfast was the typical affair for Best Western. Nice to have an on-site bar for drinks in the room after a days hike.
Just ok, front desk was not particularly helpful. Room was also just ok clean enough but nothing special. Location is convenient easy on and off. Bed was decent, slept fine, but on the low end of best western properties
Great pool and spa the staff was amazing and the breakfast was yummy Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Location was excellent for my business trip and I would highly recommend this motel. I will be back.
Quiet place, with a good breakfast included. One hour drive to the National Sequoia Park entrance. They have also a small outdoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi. Free parking. I can recommend for dinner the Black Bear Restaurant (five minutes drive from hotel). Also you can find a nice Outlet Mall in Tulare.
Good location right off Hwy 99. Clean, efficient, good service. Nice touch offering 2 for 1 drinks at an on-site bar. Pool was not heated and was cold. Allowed smoking in pool area...bad? Close to eating establishments.
Nice clean place with really friendly staff. We've stayed there twice while visiting our son. It will be our go to home away from home for as long as he lives in that area. I do wish we didn't have to walk nearly the entire length of the hotel to get ice but hey, I guess we all need the exercise.
We had a large, comfortable room with two queen beds. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. We were on the second floor and there is no lift or bellman, so help may be required to take bags upstairs. The breakfast was typical USA hotel, plenty of it but not great food. The staff were very helpful.
We spent one night in the BW T&C. It's right on the main street in Tulare and just off the freeway, but we got no objectionable noise from either. Our first floor unit with King bed was roomy and had a nice desk, TV, dresser, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, comfy easy chair and ottoman, night stands, two luggage racks and an open closet with a curtain. The bathroom was adequate with a single sink and counter space. The commode is in a separate room with the shower/tub combo. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. One thing that may bother some is that they have a large parking lot and truckers use it. However, our unit was right across from it and we didn't hear any noise from them. Their complimentary breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy as well as the usual fresh fruit, cereals, etc. They have a lounge with full bar and provide you with a two for one coupons during their Happy Hours (5-7). The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a very nice overnight stay.
Average hotel. WiFi was awful. When I called the desk and reported that I could not connect, staff responded with "keep trying"... no help at all. A/C was loud. Hotel was average and starting to show it's age, but was clean. Very close to the freeway, Outlets, and Restaurants.
I was welcomed by a cockroach at the hotel's back door because all the food waste and hotel garbage were collected there. There was pigs' smell outside and several pig trucks parked not far away at the front (see photos). It is a 2 storey and no elevator, have to pull the luggage upstairs. The self laundry facility starts late and ends early and could not do the laundry during breakfast time. The corridor air condition was turned off. The room air condition's thermostat was mis-calibrated, needed to set a few degrees lower to attain the desired temperature 75F. After room cleaning, the air condition was turned off. The room was quite hot at the end of the day in August. Some of the power outlets did not work, had to make sure the devices were actually charging, not just plugged in. The bath room door could not locked. The shower curtain was barely long enough to the top of the bathtub.
Breakfast is always nice. A decent selection with great staff tending to it. The pool is always nice and clean. Same with the rooms. A good bonus is the lounge. Small, but a nice place to wind down and have a drink.
Most importantly, the hotel was clean. Large rooms. Sink separate from the bathroom. Two luggage racks. Nice furniture. A/C worked fine. Carpet was good. Outdoor pool and spa area was clean. The only drawback for us was a very bright light outside and the room was not quite dark enough. The breakfast was excellent. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, fresh fruit (you don't see that everywhere), breads, waffles, and the usual stuff. One of the better breakfasts we have had at Best Western hotels. We would definitely return.
This Best Western staff as usual are so very professional, they always make you feel right at home. I travel close to 20 days a month, and for the past two years Best Westerns around the country have and always be my Home away from home, my hotel of choice. You cannot go wrong with BW!
This is a comfortable place to stay along Hwy 99. Close to restaraunts and stores. Quiet and clean room. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant staff. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Here for two nights. Check in a breeze and entertaining. Room clean as were the rest of the hotel. Good breakfast especially the fresh fruit. All the staff very nice as well even the ones from Mississauga!
Very nice, you can't get better than this. The hotel has all the amenities including a coffee maker, microwave and fridge, laundry room, gym, pool and jacuzzi very clean, hotel staff is nice, fully stocked bar and a large breakfast area (can get crowded during holidays) , close to the National Parks.
This was a very nice hotel. Clean we will be just fine and comfortable. Staff was super nice.Nice weather we were on our way to the Grand Canyon and stop lying here I believe on the way home and it was a very nice that's master
I have stayed at the Best Western Tulare numerous times over the last four years. The people are great, the rooms are clean and well maintained. I most always have a good night's rest and breakfast in the morning. That is why I choose to stay there each time I head to Northern California.
the hotel provide a continental Breakfast with a clean and quiet room and comfortable bed, the staff were very friendly also this hotel is located in good location close to many restaurants and Out let stores
Carol the FD employee is amazing! She advised us some restaurants around. And she just have a good personality. Also the woman is the Bar Area is very pleasant. The hotel itself is clean and cosy with spacious parking. The A/C is working too loud and smells like a molt.
We stayed here in our way to Utah. The staff was great, the trim was great. No problems with the internet and we enjoyed the breakfast. It's nice to be able to eat there and then hit the road. The only minor thing was the lobby was under construction due to renovations.
This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at barring none. Easy to get to, fast check in despite being very busy, comfortable rooms, refrigerator, microwave, and extremely clean. They had a very good full breakfast in the morning, but could have used a slightly bigger dinning room. Didn't mind spending a little more than we normally do for the quality that we got. Would certainly choose it again.
Older hotel, but maintained well. Decorated nicely. Rooms are VERY quiet. Not a PLUS hotel, but not sure why. It has a lounge with snacks. Had a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay at this hotel again if traveling through the area.
this is a classic Best Western, it has all the good things that make me stay at BW when available. always locally owned, usually "Mom & Pop" with pride of ownership and dedication to customer satisfaction for repeat biz. i have been staying here for 30 years and it has been consistently very satisfying. and they continuously upgrade it so it never looks nor feels old. my room had every desirable amenity, fast WiFi, giant screen TV, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, iron and ironing board, work desk, VERY comfortable bed, fresh clean linen. the room was spotless as always and the bathroom was large and clean as an operating room. front desk staff helpful and friendly. the only reason i don't give it 5 stars is it is a $100 a night motel in Tulare, not a $500 a night super-luxury hotel in Beverly Hills so it doesn't have all that fancy-schmancy stuff the 5-stars have. but who needs that? this hotel has everything i want. good location too, plenty of parking, lots of decent restaurants nearby, well-lit and safe.
Excellent service, good state I love Tulare city was great arrive on time. Stores are very near to hotel. Restaurant is great the food was so delicious. I travel every week I love this hotel Best Wester #1
After an overnight in Barstow, we were headed for Tulare where which was the next stop on our California Road Trip. Again, this was a bit of a 'staging' stop, providing a break in order to make the drive manageable and enjoyable rather than a slog. However we did decide to visit the Sequoia National Park and this did extend the drive and the day somewhat. So we headed out and reached the Sequoia National Park around lunchtime I guess, going in by Porterville and Springville. As with Yosemite later in our adventure our progress was hampered at some points by roadworks, having to wait about twenty minutes at one point where the road had been reduced to one lane. However we enjoyed our drive, the scenery is very beautiful. Of all the potential stops we decided to visit Sherman's Tree (almost in the centre of the park). We did this and then decided to drive through the park, rather than retrace our steps, so, to cut a long story short we finally arrived in Tulare at the hotel at about 6:00pm, via Three Rivers and Visalia, rather later than we had planned. We received a friendly welcome from the receptionist and were soon immersed in a discussion of Scottish and Canadian history. We were allocated a room on the first floor which was fine although it might be an issue for some as there is no elevator. The room was spacious and contained all the required furniture, coffee making facilities, fridge and the obligatory TV. I seem to remember the bed as comfortable and spacious! We had planned to go to a restaurant called ‘Apple Annie's' which is about five minutes walk from the hotel and although we were getting close to closing time by the time we got ourselves washed and brushed up, we did go and had an enjoyable meal. The food is ‘home cooking' in style and there is plenty of it. However on our return we realised that we had not used the 10% discount voucher that the hotel had given us. Don't make the same mistake! We didn't make the same mistake with the vouchers that we had been given for the hotel bar. Settling ourselves in we enjoyed a nightcap before heading off after a long, tiring but satisfactory day. Those threes were worth seeing though! Breakfast was a bit of performance. There were too many people trying to us the self-service buffet at the same time. The seating area is small and the saving area is a bit cramped. The hotel was busy and this, obviously, exacerbated the issue. However the breakfast itself was good. The usual items were available and of a good standard however patience was required as some items were replenished. A bonus for our group, especially the wives, was that just across the highway from the hotel is the Tulare Outlet Mall. So, as we were in no rush the next day on our drive up to Mariposa, we took some time to look round the mall shops. The usual brands were represented and provided a number of opportunities. I wouldn't have any hesitation using the hotel again, pleasant effective staff, celan and well-maintained room and a bar on site!
Needed an inexpensive hotel for softball tourney we were attending in Tulare. Daughter picked B/W. Let me tell you...this was one the cleanest hotels I have been in. Only bad thing, is there is no elevator. This is not good for people with bad knees or legs. However, after out last hotel experience, this was like being in heaven. It may have been recently renovated, I'm not sure, but it was spotless!...all the way down to bathroom nooks and crannies. I'm pretty picky about my hotel bathrooms, believe me, this was great! Room was very large...bathroom little on small side, but If ever in Tulare again for the night, this will be the place. Great breakfast bar and also an adult drink bar! Also tried our Apple Annie's next door for last day there breakfast and it was delicious and priced just right!!
The hotel has nice rooms, everything works great, refridg and microwave. The breakfast was awesome. Just need better coffee! Price was right. Its a rather long and slim hotel and that was a little funky, but it didn't effect our stay. The kids loved the pool.
The town is super calm and a bit boring but we decided to stay overnight for visiting the King's Canyon and the Sequoia park. Nice room, good and discreet service. The breakfast is modest but as expectation.
This was a nice hotel, comfortable beds and good pillows. The staff was great, very large and roomy , rooms. Check in and out went very quick. The breakfast was hot and good, the lounge was a nice touch. Easy access to and from the freeway
The staff here is always very helpful. They have one of the best breakfasts. of any Best West I have stayed at. Hot & cold items. Gets you ready for the day. Comfortable beds. Excellent staff. Highly recommend this Best Western
This hotel goes above and beyond to make the guests feel welcome. I feel like a member of their family when I am there. They know me by name. They tell me what the good restaurants in town are. They serve you at the bar with a drink and a smile. They give you tips on the latest and best attractions in Sequoia National Park. And when you are on business, they really take care of you. The comfort level is above and beyond!
accommodations were pleasant and the lounge was a great surprise. great service and staff the beds were excellent and we love the new pillows BW is using! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends or family. Good proximity to the freeway too.
We were on a trip to visit several National Parks and chose this location for a two night stay. We went to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks and thoroughly enjoyed them. This lodge was okay - older and in need of updating - but it satisfied our needs. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and filling. Rooms were quiet even though we overlooked the pool area.
Everything is very well maintained and clean for the age of the building. If you don't mind climbing to second floor, there is no elevator. Staff was very friendly at check in. There is a convenient lounge for evening snacks and drinks. Breakfast area was a little crowded but food quality was good.
This hotel had a very nice, and newly updated room. Our room was very clean and our bed was very comfortable. The main foyer and entrance to the hotel is very small and utilitarian. Do not expect any welcoming coffee or cookies. The breakfast area was not open early enough for us to eat there.
We went to the Sequoia National Park and stayed at this BW. We were really just looking for a bed for when we weren't st the park but got so much more! It was super clean, great to use that jacuzzi after hiking and the bar was a couple steps from the pool area. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great, the staff were better!
This is good place to stay the night. I stay here as much as possible when I'm on the road. They are very friendly people and I never had a problem when staying here. Rooms are very nice the showers are good and clean and they have good size tv. Nice come of able beds.
We enjoyed the room, pool, staff, and breakfast. Very clean and family friendly. The hotel is organized and is easily accessible to surrounding areas. The amenities are easy to access and the hotel rooms are very comfortable and clean.
Nice BW on US-99. Good Breakfast but tight area. Approximate 45 minutes to Sequoia NP. And over an hour to Kings Canyon NP. Lots of Restaurants in Area. Tulare Outlet is right across freeway. Good Value for the stay.
We stayed here on our trip when visiting Sequoia NP. We were satisfied as room and bathroom are clean and beds are comfortable. We appreciate rich breakfast options including self operated waffle machines surrounded by kids. However the dining room is not large - we used that and had breakfast on the bar desk - kids loved it! Would return here at any time, recommended.
One of the best Best Western I have been to. The lounge was a great touch. A friendly warm environment. Great outdoor pool. Staff friendly. We got vouchers for.the lounge which was a great touch. Great room just an overall great experience
Site was clean and well maintained. Pool area could use an update but overall very nice. Internet was slow. Breakfast was presented very nice and the quality was very good. Nice family oriented facility.
After visiting the Sequoia National Park, our family was beat and needed a place to spend the night. We initially reserved a stay at an inexpensive hotel just next to the Best Western. What a mistake! We immediately checked out and reserved a room at the Beat Western Town and Country. The difference was remarkable. Everything starting from the welcoming smile when you walk into the hotel to the room cleanliness and even the pool were well worth a few more dollars than a simple hotel stay. The hotel even had a full breakfast the following morning. If visiting the Sequoia National Park area, treat yourself to a relaxing stay at the Best Western Town and Country in Tulare the stay is well worth the price and the drive.
All the staff were very helpful and wanted to make sure that you could get to the National parks and went out of their way to get maps etc. The stay here was great. Their staff really went out of the way to make everything easy and they knew their way around to the National Parks, they had maps, recommended restaurants. Very happy with this Best Western. Pool was nice and warm and kids thoroughly enjoyed it.
We stayed here last month. Excellent and extremely clean. We had a two bedded suite at a fantastic price of £80 per night. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Great location for kings canyon.
Best Western Tulare California has been consistently friendly, clean, and accommodating for twice a year for the last eight years. We are greeted by the same employees and our experience has been positive each time.
The price is very convenient when it includes the breakfast. Clean and spacious rooms, good quality of food and friendly staff!!! The down side was a small pool and dining area... But would recommend!!
Took my mom on a trip to Sequoia and was delighted with my reservation at this hotel. It was spotlessly clean, well furnished and pleasant. The location perfect, breakfast very nice, good selection and variety of hot as well as cold food. Cereals, eggs, sausage, yogurt, toast, muffins, waffle machine, fresh fruit, etc. Entire staff pleasant and helpful. Excellent for families with small but nice pool, lots of options for food in the area with many styles of restaurants. The room has a small frig and microwave so you can bring some snacks and soda's. Would recommend and stay again when traveling through the California Central Valley.
The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. The whole place was wonderfully clean. The room, the bed, and especially the shower, were perfect. The breakfast/bar area was spacious and the food was was plentiful and tasty.
Before our scheduled stay, I called the hotel to tell them of our late-night arrival...just to ensure that our room would still be available. We arrived late night (about 10:45p) after a long day at Sequoia National Park. Our check-in was seamless and smooth. The room was clean and a bit bigger than I expected. While I expected it to be clean, I did not think it would be so spacious. There were 2 luggage stands (most places offer only one, if any) and ample space in the room for other luggage. Though, the towels were not thick and the toiletries were not luxurious ( those things are not what one expects from Best Western), they were usable and adequate. Overnight, there were no issues with noise from housekeeping or other patrons. The morning breakfast was served until 10A in a small dining area. By the time we got there at 8:30a, the dining area was truly crowded and the morning offerings looked as if they had been picked over. But the staff worked tirelessly to replenish everything (waffle dough, syrup, biscuits, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, assorted bread and pastries, juices and milk) so that the patrons could be fulfilled. Check-out was as easy as the check-in. The lobby was nicely decorated in earth toned furniture (I love natural colors and earth tones) and some other contemporary pieces (pillows, mirrors and lamps). The only thing that I found inconvenient was the lack of an elevator. Thank goodness the hotel only had two floors. Of course, because our room was on the 2nd floor, we had to lug our heavy bags up a zig-zag flight of stairs that had a middle landing. The lack of an elevator was the only inconvenient thing that I found during my one-night stay.
Our family stayed 2 nights when visiting Sequoia park - we had a suite and liked it very much: large, quiet, staff very professional, perfect laundry facilities, small but clean pool. Location is not the best, but the hotel was just a base for park visit, so for us was important to have just comfortable and clean overnight space.
Great place to stay..We stay there often. every one is friendly. Rooms have always been clean an decorated nicely.enjoy the bar an breakfast. pliantly of other places to eat close by.you can even walk to a few places.
There were children in the pool in diapers that had messed themselves and were peeing beside the pool. When I notified the front desk they didn't seem too concerned and did not remove the guests or drain the pool..This is a major health violation!!
Reasonable price for what we got. Front desk staff were fast and friendly. The bar was not expensive and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Lots of fresh fruits. Room is good size and clean. The bed was comfortable.
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed, or I should say the only hotels I stay at during my time in Tulare! Upon arrival I am always warmly welcomed by the staff, like I said before, they are just like family here! Breakfast were good, will fresh fruits and juices, great scrambled eggs, muffins and cereal, just about everything you would want for breakfast.
Whenever I travel through this area and am too tired to continue, I make a reservation at the BW in Tulare. I have always had complete satisfaction with all the amenities and hotel staff. I recommend this hotel highly. The area has verity of restaurants and an excellent movie theater.
Tony and all of his staff are the best at any hotel that I stay at. Rooms have been remodeled and no other group is friendlier. They have a hotel lounge and a great hot breakfast to wake up to. Many restaurants within walking distance.
This is a good, clean hotel that will more than meet your needs. It's a pretty good value for the money. We would stay here again when in this area. It is in a good proximity to restaurants and to the highway.
Staff was especially nice, room was very comfortable (I was thinking about taking the mattress home with me), and the breakfast (at 6:00 AM) was worth sticking around for. Excellent choices and very good.
Great services from beginning to end. Rooms were nice and beds were clean, Parking was near the room. Restrooms were clean and breakfast was great. Check out was very easy, express check out is the way to go.
For a highway stop this place does a nice job. Bed is very comfortable and the towels are the best, much better than most expensive places. They offer 2 for 1 welcome drinks which is nice with popcorn at the bar. It's much more quiet than I thought it would be. Dog waste bags are offered and there are areas to walk them. Since it's tough go to find a place in the valley that is easy, safe, quiet and offers a good nights sleep, it worked for me.
Nice clean hotel, rooms large and comfortable. They have free continental breakfast in the hotel. There are several restaurants and stores close by. Rooms have refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker. Good cable TV. The only negative thing I can say is that the bar/lounge has a very poor choice for wine, the one they use is a very substandard winery. On top of that, I bought it anyway to take to my room as I like to relax, watch the news and have wine. I went back to the lounge and asked the bar maid to barrow a wine glass for the room. She handed me a plastic cup (same ones I see in my room) and informed me that you only get a wine glass in the bar. If you want to have it in your room all they can give you is a plastic cup. Sorry, I can not drink wine no matter how good or bad out of a cheap plastic cup, but I took her plastic cup and returned to my room somewhat irritated. Sorry, I can't see what harm there is in letting a guest take a real wine glass to their room!! That ruined my experience
Great overnight stay en route to Sequoia National Park from Phoenix, AZ. After a long drive, we were glad we selected the Best Western Town & Country Lodge - Tulare, CA as a place to stay. The staff was friendly and the room was near where we parked so we did not have to haul our luggage too far. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean and TV and WiFi were provided. The breakfast was excellent with a solid continental breakfast and hot meals provided. I would certainly return if we were ever in the area.
This property was one of the nicest Best Westerns we have stayed in my husband and I travel or his work we spend 98% of our year in hotels. The people that work here are wonderful. Marrabella the lady that cooks breakfast is amazing. I wish I could take her with me every place.
This was the first time I was in that area. I enjoyed the time I spent in there hotel and was pleased with the breakfast that was served. I was glad to find the food warm and not cold like other places I have stayed. The staff was very helpful with my request to get a room on the first floor. Hats off to everyone at this hotel.
this place is wonderful. i paid $94 for a big ro9om that was handicap-accessible. it had two queen beds. VERY comfortable beds with nice and clean linen. all the conveniences, coffeemaker, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, iron/board, wide screen TV, WiFi, work desk etc etc. everything clean as a whistle and it looked like new, the furniture, the carpet, the paint job on the walls, all Grade-A. and quiet. front desk staff VERY nice! lots of parking. great location. highly recommended! i only gave it 4 stars because it isn't a Ritz Carlton, but then it's less than a hundred bucks!!!
This is a very comfortable affordable place to stay. Employees were great..very accommodating and helpful. Rooms nice and clean. Had small refrigerator and microwave. Full hot Breakfast was as good as you'll ever get in a hotel. Would most definitely stay there again.
Fair prices for a nice place. This is one of the nicer Best Westerns I've stayed at, as far as hotels go. But staying in Tulare wasn't my favorite place to be. We also stayed in Visalia for another night the same weekend, and had to get another room for an additional night and got this place. while we preferred this hotel to the Fairfield IN Visalia, this hotel sits in the middle of Tulare, and it smells really bad outside. The air smells like fertilizer, and it blows into the hotel every time someone goes in and out. We stayed on the first floor because I wanted a handicapped accessible room. We were right next to the pool, the fitness room and the breakfast area. Overall, the room was clean, but stuffy when we first got there. We put the air on, and it cooled down and it wasn't as stuffy. Being on first floor you had to pull the drapes all the way shut since the parking lot was outside the room windows. It was very noisy from people running around on second floor, and especially in the room above us. We were there for a gymnastic meet in Visalia, and there were a lot of gymnasts staying there, so I'm guessing these kids were running around and doing flip flops down the hallway and in their rooms cuz that's what it sounded like above us and outside the door. you could also hear the water running and just moving around til late at night. I stay up later than family, so I heard it all the way up til 2AM. If you want a more quiet room, get one on top floor. I'm not sure they had elevators, so that may be why they put us on the first floor, since I asked for an accessible room. Their breakfast area was extensive and had everything from bacon, sausage, waffles, danish, eggs, and cereals and fruit. Plus more, but they had a good breakfast buffet and things tasted good. we also ate breakfast at the other place, and this one was better. They had this maple waffle batter, and its really good!!. But beware of the peanut butter. It was really hard and old. I think it was expired. That's the only thing I have to say bad about it. But if you don't use peanut butter, you're fine. Or, just make a note to ask the staff for new peanut butter, and check the dates before you use it. Maybe if someone points it out, they'll get around to replacing it?? The fitness room only had a couple things in it, but if you want to take a quick jog on a treadmill or use their elliptical, or a weight machine (no barbells), thats what I saw in there. its a small pool, but they had one. It's located close to a Black Bear Diner that we have near home also, so we went there for a reliable place to eat. And it was good there. Good service, good food, good prices. We found it on our own, but our friends came there right behind us looking for food, and we recommended it. They had friends in the area who also recommended the same place, so I was just glad others agreed. There's probably not a whole lot of places to eat around the area except fast food. there was a japanese restaurant too, but it was late, so it was closing shortly after we got into the area, so we opted for Black Bear. we're used to having places open 24 hours or later, but when you get into small areas like this, the places close at 8:30-9pm Mon-Thurs. They only stay open til 10 on Fridays!! We were really lucky to find a Marie Callendars near the Visalia Convention Center, because it stayed open til 11pm. Otherwise, if you do anything later in afternoon and into the evening, you have to hurry and get to a place so they don't shut the doors on you. Usually if you get there at least by 20 minutes before closing, they'll still let you in. 15 min before, NOT!! Hope people find this of help!
We love this hotel, it is always clean, fresh rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast is fantastic and plenty of food and food choices. we always stay here on our trips to Tulare, we can always count on a good stay.
Rooms very updated and clean breakfast was great ! Nice having a lounge/Bar in hotel and pool for the kids ! I would recommend this hotel to definetly family friendly and great location from freeway and good location for food and shopping !
Very knowledgeable about the area and travel road closures... wish I listened better and wrote notes. Restaurants in area that were recommended were pleasantly surprisingly good. Stayed twice and very pleasant.
I have a great night I ate dinner and relax in a bathtub and at 4 I was in a pool spa relaxing my body for a few and I use my computer for a wifi network and watch a little TV and it's so quiet for me
Breakfast was Hot and Tasty! Everything you could ask for in a well thought out morning Hotel Breakfast! Everything was included with your room! Best Breakfast ever! Take it from a Guy who lives in Las Vegas!
We arrived late at the hotel and the lady at the reception was very courteous and professional. Checking in was quick and smooth. Definitely a place to return in future trips to the area. The breakfast provided by the hotel is a great help for guests as they do not have to drive around to find a restaurant to eat.
Good value and the location is very convenient. There are all kind of restaurants and shopping around. It is easy to get on highway 99 close by. The room is nice and clean. The bed is comfortable. The free breakfast has hot food, fruits and variety of other food.
This property looks a little older from the outside, but it's obvious that a lot of work has been put into the rooms to make them more comfortable. The breakfast was one of the better motel breakfasts in terms of quality and quantity. Upstairs rooms are very quiet.
We had stayed here once before and were very happy with the staff, general location, and cleanliness. Our second stay was quite different. The spa was broken. We had people in the room next door have loud visitors come and go every 15 minutes until 3:00 in the morning.I don't want to assume anything but when people come and only stay 5-10 minutes and leave it is a little suspect. The smell of the room and outside air was almost unbearable. I know it is farm country, but we couldn't hardly breath. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but just left without any refund after the first night. The $100 + dollars was not worth it. With the demeanor of all of the visitors in room next door was a little scary and we were afraid to even go to the car alone. I am not sure we will be back. But I will say the first stay was better. The spa was at least working, and they do have a very good breakfast and dining area. Also the staff is super friendly.
From the outside the hotel doesn't look the best, but the room was great. Clean and beds were comfy. Breakfast was a standard continental, but did offer some good fresh fruit. We stayed on a Thursday night so it wasn't super busy. There were 2 floors and we stayed on the second floor. I would say the light from beneath the door was a bit annoying in the morning time. We didn't even look at the pool or fitness room to be able to review.
I had an excellent stay with good clean room and great service. I Will definitely stay again as well as recommend to my friends and associates. I cannot say how great the personnel at the hotel was. I also was impressed with how clean everything was.
Excellent service, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and suite accommodations were spacious. We enjoyed the pool and convenience to Hwy 99 for sightseeing. Everything about our stay was enjoyable. The staff bent over backwards to ensure we were comfortable.
The hotel staff is friendly and very accommodating when it comes to providing information about the local area. The hotel has all the amenities one could ask for. Plenty of parking for large vehicles (Trucks, RV's, trailers, etc...). There is a bar/eatery in the hotel; a nice gathering place in the evening. The hotel is in close proximity to many eateries. Some in walking distance or a 2-3 minute drive. Great value for the price...
Family trip to Sequoia national park, We stayed one night at BW Tulare. My previous experience with Bestwestern wasn't that great. But we had no choice since all hotel in the town were sold out. BTW, the room we stayed was very clean, updated. Staff was nice. Bed was little uncomfortable but overall excellent experience.
I spent the night here on the way to Sequoia National Park. I was traveling alone so concerned with security as well as cleanliness. This hotel scored top numbers on both counts. My room was very clean and the sheets and furnishings were like new. There was a nice clean refrigerator and microwave, both also immaculately clean. The rooms are entered from an interior central hallway, which I prefer when traveling alone. The entry door, however, was unlocked and I would have preferred to use my key card to enter. Although I was not bothered by noise, I did hear my next door neighbor enter, speak to someone in the hall and heard the snap of opening the metal luggage rack so I the walls are thin. I didn't hear anything more, thankfully. It's close to the highway, near a few chain restaurants and a Starbucks and about 1 hour 45 from the Foothills entrance of the SNP. The front desk staff both courteous and efficient. I would stay here again.
This is a very well maintained hotel. It is obvious they take pride in this hotel from the decor to the well painted rooms and hallways. A plus is having a lounge for drinks or food. I would stay here again instead of going to shady Bakersfield. Just 40 min difference well worth it.
We have stayed at several this year. This one was older but remodeled and well kept. Good location. Lounge with 2 for 1 coupons offered a nice late night snack and drink. Room was clean, bed very comfortable and AC/heater was quiet.
We spent the night here before our trek into Sequoia National Park. Everything was good in the hotel; comfortable bed, working shower, TV, and air conditioning, nice decor. In other words, everything you would expect in a Best Western experience.
great location. stayed one night with cosmos bus tour. went over to the outlet shopping centre which is a short walk. close to restaurants. good night sleep. shame about the smell in the morning of cows droppings in the air
Friendly people, clean, comfortable and well maintained. Everything in the room you need. Good bed, slept really good. You come off the Prosperity ramp to the first signal, turn left and left again at the next signal and the hotel is on your right.?? Pool, and spa, fitness center and washer and dryer available. Very good hot breakfast in a very nice room that is the lounge/bar at night.
Newly Remodeled and easy access on and off the freeway, a very nice staff, you can't ask for more. We had a beverage in their little lounge and truly enjoyed the evening. Then moved on the next morning after having a great breakfast.
We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 5 years. We have never been disappointed! great staff, great rooms, good price...what more could you want in a moderate priced hotel?? Don't understand why it is not a "Plus"??? Oh, and added bonus is the lounge...2 for 1 good drinks and edible bar type snack food!
After a long drive from northern California, we just wanted a nice clean and reasonable place to spend the night. Came to the Best Western in Tulare and boy was in a welcome site. Could not of asked for a clean more accommodating location. Maria was delightful in assisting in our needs and giving directions to the nearest store. Slept well!
This is my "go to" hotel in the area. Always have a lovely stay; personnel are caring, friendly, and helpful. The staff here is genuine which is a rarity in this day and age. Bed was comfortable; so made for a decent night sleep. I will be staying here again in the future.
We used this Hotel for a stop over on our way to the Yosemite National Park following our flight into Los Angeles from Manchester. We had been travelling for 22 hours when we arrived, so just wanted a clean room with shower to freshen up, a comfortable bed to crash out in, and oh yes,a good breakfast to set us on our way the next day. That's exactly what we got and would recommend to anyone looking for something similar.
We were on thefirst floor right by the lounge. It was not noisy even with a bunch of motorcycle riders in it. Tony and his Staff were very friendly and very helpful with simple directions to wherever we wanted to go. Room and hotel were clean and spacious very quite and well lit. There are cameras on parking lot and security as well. I would recomend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Tulare CA. It is a short distance to the Sequoia National Park.
I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past several years, I don't even consider any other properties when I stay in or near Tulare. I enjoy everything about this hotel, from the employees to the room comfort, the breakfast is good and the lounge in the evenings is fun. on top of that I believe it's the best value in town.
This was our first time staying at a Best Western property and everything about the experience was excellent! We stopped her for the night on our way to Yosemite and arrived a little before check-in but did not have to wait for our room. The desk clerk was friendly, courteous and efficient and made several suggestions for where we could have dinner. Our room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The buffet breakfast offered many choices and everything was delicious. Overall we had a very positive experience and will choose Best Western again for our road trips.
Comfortable room, a bit on the small size, but serviceable. Beds were comfortable and clean. Nice proximity to Sequoya, enjoyed everything here but the smell of the town - a savory mixture of cow dung and smog on the days we were there.
We have stayed here twice and every time we have been pleased. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this motel. Always clean and staff responds to any requests in a timely fashion.
we have always stayed at this best western because it is our first night on the road on our way to portland and then to the ranch in montana. the staff has always been good and they seem to have very little turnover in the front desk area which makes them better staff members. the assistant mgr. Tony and the owner have also benn very friendly and helpful.
Fine hotel for a stopover. Clean and tidy spacious room, tea and coffee making facilities. With two large Queen beds and amenities. Breakfast sat, was excellent with delicious waffles. Enough restaurants in the area. Great location for a good price. Plenty of washing machines and dryers available.
This is a hotel which has had to deal with me staying with them every week for many years. They know your name when you come through the door. I have seen it happen many times where they call their guests by name. On a recent week, I forgot to make my usual reservation and they actually called me to see if I had forgotten. Thanks Teri! The staff never ceases to amaze me. I love the cleanliness and the hospitality that I get over and over again. Kudos to Mr. Tsai and the team he has put together. They are thoughtful and they care. You won't regret choosing this excellent hotel.
Have stayed over 50 nights out of town. This met my expectations. I will now have additional 20 night at this hotel and fill great about it. The room was cleaned and straighten over the night and I trusted the staff.
So , some friends and I needed a hotel to stay for the night . We were tired and just wanted to get settled in so we decided to try The Best Western in tulare . Upon arrival I was greeted with one of the friendliest and helpful front desk hotel clerks I've yet to encounter . She got us an excellent rate , no incidentals fees , which was nice for a change ( must hotels charge anywhere from 20$up to 150$ .) we were checked in within minutes . The room was very very spacious , mini fridge , microwave , big flat screen tv , they also have a lounge downstairs if your wanting to have a cocktail . Their are plenty of vending and ice machines available for your convenience. It was a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend The Best Western Hotel in Tulare ca . For any type of travel needs . You won't be disappointed!!!
Room was great. The 2 for 1 drinks coupon was a was great until you the drinks arrived. It more like a 1/4 of a drink. Room was clean. When waling back from have a 1/2 a drink, heard a crying baby, once in the room could not hear it. Major plus.Overall nice please. Would returned if I am in the area again.
Great Service, great employees, excellent breakfast and a really nice and cool A/C. Great experience. The staff there treated me like family. The room was exceptionally clean and plenty of room. The Television appeared to have been upgraded, it was nice too.
Good parking with cared garden full of flowers Big room, coffee machine, comfortable beds big bathroom, comfortable poor pillows good breakfast had a pool which we could not use because I arrived late and it was cold
I was very pleased to find this gem in Tulare. This is a very nice hotel with a very friendly staff. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and modern. There is also a nice little lounge that offers drinks and a small assortment of food. This hotel is also located near quite a few restaurants and has nice access to the freeway.
I recently stayed at the Best Western Town & Country Lodge with my wife and kids aged 10 to 13. Check in was quick and painless. First impression of our room was a nice clean room with modern decor. The two queen beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was included and although there wasn't a large selection, what was there was fresh and tasty. The waffle machines were great. The outside pool wasn't large but, clean and the kids loved it nonetheless. I would like to praise the honesty of the staff because my daughter left her iPad behind and she didn't realize this until we were 300 miles away. A quick call confirmed that the staff had handed it in and we subsequently picked up her iPad on the way back through 2 days later. Thanks again. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to anyone wanting to breakup their trip. There is plenty of places to eat nearby and for those who like to shop there are the Tulare shopping outlets. I rate it 3.5 stars.
Nice clean rooms. Great choice of breakfast foods. Front desk as well as breakfast staff were friendly and pleasant. We stopped here after leaving Yosemite national park on our way to Palm Springs area.
We stopped here en route to Canada after arriving at LAX earlier that day. It was a very nice, clean hotel with a good room and a very satisfying breakfast. It had a pool which we did not use. There are dining sites within walking distance (we had dinner at Apple Annies, just one block north - a very good supper indeed!). I would stop here again.
Loved the room, breakfast and even two for one cozy bar. Front desk was great! Easy of and on freeway access. On way out of Sequoia, it was a very nice stop. Bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
Stayed here after reading great reviews and were not disappointed. Room was very big with two very comfortable double beds. Bathroom was small but very clean with the vanity sink in the main room which is a good idea. Lots of towels.Checkin was efficient with very friendly Mary. Breakfast was really good with cereals yogurt pastries scrambled eggs sausages etc. The breakfast room is quite small though. Great price too. Close to the mall. Recommended.
Overall great stay. Close to a number of restaurants and stores. Right off freeway. Good breakfast. Ample parking. Nice size room. Only negative is that the breakfast area for getting food and sitting is absolutely too small.
We stayed there for 1 night. Very close to Sequia Natl Park. Breakfast was great. Nice Staff at front desk. We have no complains about this place. They have plenty of parking for cars. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Hotel with free parking, outdoor pool (till 10pm), complementary breakfast and free wifi. Rooms are clean, airconditioned. Reception polite. Easy acces to highway. Restaurants (not in the hotel) nearby. Good hotel to stay for a night an travel further. Not far away from Sequoia NP. No elevator.
My sister & I stayed for one night, the room, staff, and amenities were all above par! The breakfast buffet was tasty, well laid out, and during convenient hours. My sister and her husband had previously stayed here and she recommended it. We were traveling from Phoenix, AZ, to Redding, CA. Tulare Best Western was a good point to break the trip in two.
2nd stay here . Quiet and convenient to freeway. Great breakfast pool and workout room. Room clean and comfortable . Only complaint -could use updating a bit but not bad at all. No elevators so ask for 1st floor if you don't want to climb stairs.
Very clean, polite staff, absolutely no problems with my room, nice hot tub, good selection at breakfast. Good location and easy to find. Enjoyed my quiet, hassle free stay. Good desk, lighting, and plenty of power outlets for work.
After a very hot drive up the valley, Town and Country was a welcome stop. The clerks are porofessional and courtesy. The rooms were comfortable and COOL. Two or three places to eat are within walking distance. The pool and hot tube were enjoyable. And near the rooms there is a neat pool of fish and a cage full of parrokeets.
We both enjoyed our stay! The woman who greeted us welcomed us as though we were great friends. She offered us directions to local restaurants, and directions to our next destination. The people were nice. We had a handicapped room which was done very well. Our room was very clean.
Stayed here for 6 nights. Were greeted by friendly, efficient staff upon arrival and the same on departing. Room was neat, clean, and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of making sure we had everything needed, even to the point of asking if they could get us anything as we past in the hall. The breakfast was wonderful. Both serving counters and tables were kept clean even on a busy morning. Menu items changed slightly each day so we didn't feel the need to go elsewhere for variety. The hot food was hot and well seasoned. Ample fresh fruit, breads, pastry, yogurts, beverages and condiments. Choice of regular or pumpkin spice "make you own" waffles was a surprise. Who knew you would find two flavors. Even the grounds keepers would temporarily stop their landscaping duties to open the door for guests. A wonderful surprise when you've been hiking all day in Sequoia and return with an armful of gear. This hotel knows the meaning of service and aren't afraid to show you. We'll definitely return.
My room was very spacious and clean. The air conditioner worked very well. The motel was close to several good places to eat. In addition, the staff was friendly and courteous. I had a great night's sleep because the bed was nice and firm yet comfortable.
My wife and I have been in many Best Westerns but this was the first one that had a cocktail lounge. It was a friendly atmosphere and a welcome relief from a hot sunny day of shopping in the San Joaquin Valley.
Yes - this was a Best Western - but more than the average. Staff was sincere, professional and went above and beyond to make sure our needs for type of room we requested was made available for us. They provided coupon for free drink @ bar with purchase of one drink - Hotel was clean and had a warm feeling about it from cleaning personnel to the front desk. Pet friendly was part of our selection. Carpets were clean and kept up (some pet friendly are funky and our pet would die before going potty indoors so we appreciate upkeep of cleanliness). We would return here in a heartbeat.
We are so happy we chose this hotel on our way to the coast after a day in Sequoia! The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. We had a room that was so nice and spacious. We were able to do a few loads of laundry right on property. The breakfast was very nice with everything from waffles to cereal to eggs and sausage. We highly recommend this hotel as it was so clean and nice and it was also in what seemed like a very nice part of town close to lots of restaurants and a large outlet mall.
We were in town for a family funeral and having a nice place to stay really helped. We were hoping that the hotel could give us an extended checkout time by 2 hours (we asked the night before when we checked in and the desk clerk stated that they could possibly do that, but we needed to check the next morning with the day clerk) so we could change clothes after the funeral due to we needed to drive back home (about a 6 hour drive), but they were unable to accommodate our request at that time. That was our only disappointment with our stay.
This place was a great place to stay. The price was right also. Very clean. The breakfast was very good also and clean. We visited sequoia and kings canyon about an hour away. The next day we went to visit Yosemite. It was a little stretch but we didn't have to move hotels so it was worth it.
clean and easy & friendly.. extremely easy on off freeway...tons of places to choose from to eat within walking distance as well as near by out lets & theaters ..hot climate & good working air conditioning...
Very clean. Lots of parking for cars, truck, rv's and big rigs. Kind and caring staff. Clean room. Easy to get to from the route 99. Lots of different foods and shopping to choose from. National parks close to visit.
our stay was comfortable, friendly and enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Coffee was great and the breakfast fresh. The pool and hot tub were easily accessible, clean with a nice area to visit.
Just off arterial highway and near freeway, near enough to Yosemite National Park (2.5 hours) and close to Sequoia National Park. I was traveling with my elderly parents, and this hotel was outstanding in comfort and convenience, as well as hospitality. The desk clerk assigned us adjoining rooms at the rear of the property (away from highway traffic) and recommended parking at the back of the property--it was even shaded! GREAT! Used the lobby public computer and printer to produce the receipt necessary for our Hop-On Hop-Off tour bus in San Francisco. I used my own LTE data rather than the hotel wireless, because of my preference for security. Good LTE coverage for ATT
Based on the price, we did not expect a lot, but we were pleasently surprised. The room was larger than most, well decorated, very clean, and a good bed. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The only problem was they ran out of food at breakfast. I don't know if their supply ran out or too many people showed up at once. But they ran out of fruit cocktail, I had to ask for knives and forks, and no muffins or bread.
We stayed for a night after a long day at Yosemite National Park. We had booked 2 rooms for the night but our other party took the wrong highway and didn't show up. The hotel was easy to find, right off the highway. Despite us checking in after midnight, the manager offered us a refund on the second room. We were absolutely pleased with our stay there. The room was very clean and spacious, no disturbances and the beds were very comfy. We had a wonderful nights sleep. Highly recommend this place.
The hot tub was broken, the rooms were small, the price was high, the door to the breakfast room was broken and we could not get in, the person taking care of breakfast made us feel rushed, and the location was less than desirable.
Nice hotel and very clean rooms. The only negative comment I would give was that the air conditioner didn't keep the room cool enough. I was actually hot all night and only slept under the sheet. At times I even threw that off. I don't know if it was just my room or not. The free breakfast was great. Nice and quick and easy, especially if your like me and don't want to have to sit and a restaurant and wait. Also note this hotel does not have a elevator. Not a problem for us but for some it might be.
This was a night stop whilst taking the 99 from SF to LA. Fairly typical Best Western, nice night staff, bar open with bar snack food til 10pm which was appreciated. Room clean, aircon worked, breakfast included. No issues.
Excellent Service. Excellent Breakfast. Clean room. The location was near to freeway. Close to shopping area and restaurants. It looked like they recently remodeled the hotel. Lots of parking spaces. I loved this hotel.
Pro:Overall the hotel is good. The location is near the freeway so it is very convenience to access. Breakfast is good with variety of food. I am satisfied with the money I spent. Con: The fan of the air conditioner is too noisy.
I usually don't write reviews, but this hotel over exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, not a single hair. The breakfast room is with abundance of food choices and menu is changed daily (sit up fruits, sausage, eggs, oatmeal and many more). The swimming pool was clean and enjoyed by my children very much. There are several nearby restaurants and the Vallarta's store is also nearby. The staff are courteous and helpful.
Stayed here for 1 night but glad we did as it was a very clean and tidy hotel centrally located close to shopping outlets and restaurants etc. Added bonus of a pool and 2 for 1 on drinks included as well as breakfast all for $95!! We stayed in a 2 queen bed room, with fridge and microwave, lots of room for the 4 of us. Would Defo recommend.
Had a great trip to Tulare to visit son, daughter-in-law, grandson and his in-laws. Room was nice, clean and very comfortable. Had a great breakfast and drinks one night at the lounge. Had recieved a two for one coupon up on arrival. Only to problems. One is cleaning staff turned off ac even though it was obvious I was coming back. So room was stuffy and hot after a day in pool with grandkids. Seconds had other patrons running up and down the hall and outside. Called front desk and they took care of it quickly! Overall a great stay.
I recently spent 1 night at this Best Western during my drive from Las Vegas to San Francisco. Although it appears to be an older property, I found it to be well-maintained and very clean. It definitely appears to have been updated fairly recently. The property does NOT have an elevator, so be aware of that if this is an issue for you. The employees that I encountered were friendly. The location is convenient (right off the 99 Freeway near plenty of gas stations and restaurants), there is plenty of parking, and the free breakfast is plenty good. I definitely would return to this property if I find myself in the area again.
On the road on a motorcycle trip and needed a last minute reservation. As always, Best Western did not disappoint. Clean and very comfortable room, clean sheets and towels, carpet clean and friendly staff. Delicious waffle breakfast with eggs and sausage as well- great breakfast variety offered. Convenient location close to gas stations and restaurants. Would recommend.
We happened upon this hotel and were impressed. It doesn't have an elevator, and the building appears to be an older building, but it has been remodeled. We thought the rooms felt modern and were well decorated with comfy beds and the biggest, fluffiest bath towels. The breakfast was excellent too. They also had a very nice fitness room and laundry. Overall, we were impressed this this hotel.
My husband and I had been on the road for nearly 9 hours when we checked into the hotel and were exhausted. Marie, the Sales Manager, checked us in when we arrived. She was welcoming, funny and very friendly. So even though we were tired, it was a good way to start the stay. The king room was spacious, comfortable and had a cozy sitting area, although the bed was only so-so. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities. Wi-Fi was fairly reliable. The breakfast was in the lounge area so there was good space and you didn't feel crammed in like some hotel breakfast areas. There was a good variety at breakfast including 2 different kinds of waffle batters. The breakfast runs from 6 to 9 each day. We would stay here again when passing through the area.
Hotel is conveniently located off CA-99. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast area; small outdoor pool; sketchy wi-fi. Did not see an elevator, so had to lug bags up to the 2nd floor. Disappointed with housekeeping, who shut off air conditioning and threw away items on the desk that were not trash. Ample, free parking. Close to restaurants and services.
i take my mother to visit family nearby..its hot & smelly country & i always look forward to getting into my room and relaxing until its over..lots of food choices near by & rooms are cool & clean & thats a must...very nice breakfast in the morning..easy on/off hwy 99..SO if you HAVE to go to Tulare its as good as it gets..& STAFF IS FRIENDLY WELCOMING
The staff are very nice very clean my husband an I love the gym...love that it has a blow dryer, mini refrigerator, flat screen TV,coffee maker and the bed always get a king size bed it's amazing wake up to a free full breakfast..I'm a frequent customer at Best Western...I love my getaway here so quiet and peaceful...
This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel and I would stay there again. The rooms are good size and always clean and updated. They offer a lot of amenities and services. The full american breakfast is always good with pleasant service. Nice pool and hot tub plus an area for grilling. They have a lounge that is open every evening and the rooms have refrigerator and microwave. The people at the front desk are pleasant and helpful.
Great location to Sequoya national park. The hotel looks old but very well maintained. Very clean. It would get five stars rating if the quality of breakfast would be a little better. Maffins and orange juice we had were not fresh. However, it is a great place overall.
We arrived at this Best Western after a long day driving. Maria got us checked in quickly and confirmed that we had everything we needed for our stay. This property has a lounge that offers beverages as well as a bar menu. It is also located near other places to eat.
We enjoyed our stay in the room. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was good an attentive. Should have given it five stars, but there is no elevator. So you need to notify the staff when booking the room the need for a first floor room.
Spent 2 nights at the hotel while headed to visit Sequoia. It is a decent hotel for the price. Our room was through AAA and only cost $81 per night. Breakfast was good for this type of stay and price. Many options including hot options. Staff was always there and attending to it so there were never empty items. Room is a standard room with fridge and microwave. Not a suite style room. Which again is alright considering the price and the fact that we did not expect a suite. Still pretty spacious. We were on the second floor and were given the option to pick a first or second floor room. Later we realized there is no elevator so dragging a lot of heavy luggage up stairs was difficult. Make sure to ask for a first floor room if you have more than a suitcase or two. Rooms were kept clean and were comfortable. We had no issues during our stay. Front desk staff were nice but very "regimented", and seemed to be more friendly with people who were business guests that must be regulars at the hotel. Overall stay was good and this is a cheaper option than staying in Visalia a few minutes closer to Sequoia National Forest if you don't mind a little extra drive time.
Very welcoming staff, good room, nicely furnished. Large free car park. We had visited Sequoia during the day, and this was a convenient stopover. Free breakfast, including some cooked items. Lounge bar, with friendly staff.
Good place to stay when heading to Yosemite. A good Best Western with most amenities. Beds a bit too firm and WiFi slow in our room. No other major complaints. The breakfast was great with lots of selection.
Would be willing to stay at this facility again. Will look to BW for our next trip. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Easy check in and check out. Breakfast selections were very good and the hot breakfast selection very excellent.
Not the best of the Best Western hotels we have visited. we frequently travel with our dogs and this hotel was pet friendly BUT did not really have a good place to walk our dogs on the property. The staff did help us find nice parks within reasonable driving distance. The room was fine, clean and comfortable. Other hotels do offer friendlier concessions for the pets we love. Breakfast was as expected. Jut there for the one night - happy we could at least have our dogs with us.
Me my husband and my 2 boys stayed here for a night on route to San Francisco. The rooms are lovely and clean. The WiFi is super quick, and the pool was open until late 10pm which my boys was super happy about. We went to Apple Annie's for dinner which is a 5 minute walk away. That was very nice as well. Fridge and coffee maker in the room. Breakfast is also included in the price. Ace hotel all round
On a motorcycle trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon, we spent the night at this hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Only complaint is that the bar was closed on Sundays. That fact was not noted when I made the reservation. Was looking forward to a beer after a long day on the road. No big thing but I had go hunt a beer.
We had a great night's sleep at this hotel. The front hotel staff recommended the restaurant Apple Annie's to eat at, and we were really pleased with their recommendation. The apple pie is the best we've ever eaten. Thank you hotel staff for being very kind and personable.
great property, i would stay again the food was hot and fresh, staff was well trained and helpful and the high speed internet including the channel line up fantastic. the only thing i think that they could do is update the exterior and throw a paint job on the property, Tulare is kinda a dusty farming town but slowly growing, good luck with this location i will be back.
Nice staff and newly installed carpets. The hotel offers a happy hour coupon for two for one drinks or a drink and a snack. Free Wifi as well. There are refrigerators and coffee makers in the rooms. Non smoking hotel too.
Very nice facility, comfortable beds, nice decor at a very reasonable price. We stayed there while attending a family member's wedding and didn't eat the breakfast since we were joining family for a breakfast off-site. We've had the breakfast in the past and it was very good.
Excellent cooked to order breakfast included and cookies when you check in. A great place for pets to exercise. The clerk even brought us a special blanket for our dog. Bakery is open from 3pm to midnight.
We had a nice stay, just one night for business. The hotel itself is well maintained, clean and spacious. The hotel breakfast was better than most: had made to order waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, and the standard fare of cereal, oatmeal, small danishes, and fruit. My only complaint was the thin walls-my coworkers and I all had separate rooms, but all could hear the conversations of passersby and neighbors. Plentiful parking and a good spot to stay for the night if traveling through the area. Has everything you'd need and exceeded my expectations for a three-star hotel. I would stay again, just remember to bring earplugs.
May 5, 2016. This Hotel was priced extremely reasonable, located just off 99, well maintained, nice size room, comfortable bed, delicious complimentary breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles ( 2 flavors of batter), fresh fruit including watermelon and halo oranges, hard boiled eggs, etc. The staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Last minute stay for home maintainance. Very comfortable stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Thank you for signing us up for the Rewards program. Will definitely be lodging with Best Western in the future.
Because we are travelling w/ our child, we booked a suite for our recent stay in Visalia. The 2 bedrooms were very generously sized, and the breakfast was actually really decent. You won't have the living room set up but I found that I didn't need that. I just wanted two bedrooms. The mini bar set up w/ the fridge and microwave was sufficient for us. The hotel itself was updated recently and the pool was nice (though small). As to its location, I liked the proximity to all the stores and restaurants, especially the Tulare outlet. My one complaint is the location of the suite - which is towards the stairs and side entrance. This may be an issue if you or your family is sensitive to noise. I would advise you book the second floor suite (there are only two such suites for this establishment), and you can at least avoid the sound of footsteps from above. All in all, still a nice establishment. Definitely cheaper than booking a suite at the Marriott downtown.
The service was excellent from the beginning through check out. The location is just off 99. The rooms were clean, beds were VERY comfortable. EXCELLENT breakfast foods, and helpful staff. I would highly recommend this Motel.
This stay was for business but the hotel would be great for a family or a couple. Terrific breakfast bar where you can make a breakfast burrito, friendly staff, terrific bed and pillows. The room was very clean and so were the public areas of the hotel.
Excellent place to stay. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nice pool. Centrally located for food and shopping. Close to national parks big parking lot for buses, semis, and campers. Staff is excellent and caring.
This is an excellent Hotel and we had a very pleasant stay while in town for the Farm and tractor show. I would recommend it. Nice Lounge ( a little crowded) and very nice breakfast ! Would definitely stay again !
We stayed here two nights will visiting family. The room was clean and nice. The staff was friendly. The free breakfast had a nice variety of food. I think the place had a pool and hot tub but not sure. We were in and out a lot so didn't use or look for one. Their web page should say
Spacious room, micro and fridge, CLEAN, lots of pillows and comfy bed, easy check in , didnt notice an elevator though which might prove troublesome for some guests , free breakfast, good coffee and flavored creamers, hot items
this was a great place to stay for my dollar (check-in, room, staff, and ammenities). location was just where i ask for but not a lot of noise. would recommend this to all for pleasure and/or business.
Great, friendly customer service from the employees. No problem with parking. Clean, updated, large room. The room could be quieter tough. There is various noise from outside the room (freeway, air conditioners, cars, etc.), you can hear people talking in the hall, and the room doors close loudly (when the person lets it close on it's own). I always travel with ear plugs tough, which resolved those issues just fine. Also, the included breakfast was nice. There is assorted pastries, coffee, bagels, toast, fruit, make your own waffle station, sausage, eggs (hard boiled and scrambled), cereal, juice, etc. Overall, a decent assortment, so I recommend that you at least stop by to check it out since it is included.
I'm a truck driver and stay at hotels alot. I was very pleased with the staff and they quickly and happily granted my request to switch to a room closer to the laundry room. I was there for six days and my room was cleaned at my convenience and time requested.. They even have a BBQ pit by the pool with all BBQ utensils and propane for us to use.. I will definitely stay again.. In fact Ill be staying there tonight.. travel safe :)
We stayed one night in this hotel. We found it clean and the free breakfast was good, they lots of choices from make your own waffles, scrambled egss and sausages plus pastry's, cereals and coffee and juice We also got 2, 2 for 1 drink coupons to use in the bar. The location is ideal, easy on and off the freeway. Plenty of parking and if you like to shop there is an outlet mall close by. I would stay at this hotel again if I were in the area again.
Our room was clean, spacious and quiet. There was a comfortable stuffed chair with foot rest in addition to a comfortable desk chair. The breakfast choices were excellent for my husband and I who are both gluten free. They had well seasoned scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt and breakfast sausage. There were also hot waffles, cereal and breads for toast if wheat is not a dietary issue. There is no elevator, but there are just two floors. It is very convenient to the Tulare Outlet stores and other shopping.
A good overnight stay in a very large comfortable room. Wifi was a bit slow. Shower was hot and had great water pressure. Included breakfast was convenient and average. Treat yourself and walk down the road to dine at Apple Annies. (Read other review)
Easy on and easy off access from Freeway. No Freeway noise as the freeway dips below hotel level and block sound. No elevator so handicap should request 1st floor and they do have handicap accessible rooms. Hotel staff very helpful and greets with a smile; very professional. Room maintenance is very high. Complimentary breakfast is a big plus! Beds are very comfortable. Bar is located on property so great for a nightcap. Parking lot can accommodate big rigs, large RV's, trailers, etc. I always stay here when I visit.
Our stay this time was much better than our previous. Shana was able to give us a non pet room and one that was away from highway noises. The room was clean and quiet. Our checkout was also very easy. We were offered the email receipt or paper copy.
I stayed here recently on an Archers Western Wonders tour and I just loved this place. The rooms are nice and comfortable and we all spent a wonderful night in the extremely cheap bar started with a free drink voucher from the hotel. I got my guitar out and entertained the bar and the lovely barmaid was enjoying it so much she ignored the 10.30 pm closing time and kept it open till late! It's a short distance to Apple Annies which serves fabulous meals at rock bottom prices. The next morning we had a free breakfast to help us recover. Fabulous. We all had a ball at this hotel with Its friendly staff and I would heartily recommend it.
The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were up to date and very clean. The breakfast was good that they had for a continental breakfast there was a decent selection of food. The price was reasonable. It was convenient to the on and off access to the highway.
Great value for the money; it's reasonably priced. There is a very nice full breakfast - eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. Rooms were very spacious. The internet speed seemed to be adequate. We would stay there again if we were in the area.
Very pleased with our stay at this hotel. We were in town for the races. Staff was very professional and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. It was easy to get to and from the racetrack. Shopping was within walking distance. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.
You would never expect to find a hotel this nice in Tulare CA. This is a favorite place to stay. Large rooms, nicely furnished, always appears to be newly refurbished. You can see the owners pride in this property. The staff is terrific and treat you like family. If staying anywhere in the central valley, stop in Tulare and stay here. You will be glad you did.
We really enjoyed the staff. I've told several of my friends that drive a truck about the location. First rate! Walmart is close and the restaurant across the way was very good. We'll be back when we're in town
I stay at this hotel frequently and have never had a bad experience. From knowing my name, to Faxing papers, to helping me lift things into my truck these folks are just flat out kind, hospitable, and helpful. What else can I say. Tony, Terry, Maria, Andrew, Carol, Manuel, and the rest of you.Thank you for always making my stays enjoyable.
Thank you so much for your hospitality. My little boys and I stayed two nights and both were great. Staff always were happy to fulfill any requests (even at 230 am when my youngest had an accident on the sheets.) Thank you once again. The only place of improvement I can see is the breakfast items.
We had a great stay...very nice staff and very clean location. It was very quiet and we totally loved the dining room and bar..Would def recommend to others to stay and would def go back again thank u
live in Phoenix, visited family in SF Bay area, drove to Fresno to pick up a 1959 Willys Jeep. Spent the first night in Best Western near Grapevine CA. wasn't anything special (shower drained slow). Did not want to stay in Fresno - for personal reasons - chose to begin the drive home and stop in Tulare. To be honest, wasn't expecting much more than a glorified motel 6 type of place. but WOW! were we surprised! Excellent accommodations - very clean, fresh look, hallway carpets not stained. Very nice bar/lounge ( the 2 for 1 drinks were an unexpected treat). Clean pool area, nice hot tub. Excellent room - clean throughout/ good firm bed and shower did not puddle up around your ankles.. Our complements to the staff and management in Tulare. Next trip we modify our route that allows us to stay there again.
It smelled. There were pubes in the tub and on the soap dish. The pillows were not normal pillows... I had to wonder what they stuffed them with. Terrible sleep. It was loud. I could hear someone in the next room getting ready. Then it was a cacophony of slamming doors. It was at least close to a few restaurants...
I always stay at this place when travel to Tulare. The price is decent. The room is clean. The hot breakfast is good. There are all type of restaurants to choose from close by. Easy access to highway 99.
Pretty nice place to stay. Never have problems here. I stay quite a bit. Nice little bar if u want a cocktail after a hard days work. Good people, nice and courteous. Will be back soon. Nice restaurant next to it also
We were in Tulare for an archery tournament. The hotel is located closed to restaurants and shopping which made it very convenient. The room was clean and the hotel staff were very friendly. Will for sure stay there next time we visit Tulare.
Easy access, friendly courteous staff, big clean and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast with good freshly cooked sausage and eggs with fruits, breads and pastries available! This is a great place!
Just what I wanted a nice little getaway lovely front desk lady....got a king size bed love that it has a coffee maker an microwave an small refrigerator an blow dryer with iron... the lighting in the room is very nice
Stopped here on our drive to Phoenix. It was clean, quiet and it had a good breakfast.. The pet friendly room was adequate. Staff were friendly and recommended a good restaurant...the Black Bear diner. It was nice to have parking very close to your room. Gave the hotel a good rating for cleanliness, but the outside could use some clean up.
Carol and Maria are great. This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in from the front desk to the housekeeping everyone welcomes you with a smile. I love this place that's why I always go back there. I haven't stayed at any other hotel in Tulare but this one. Thank You for always making my stay the best.
This older property has thin walls and a bar on site. It was full of noisy construction workers who partied all night! My visit was not good. I would not recommend this venue if you need sleep.staff were friendly and the hotel is close to lots of restaurants.
I want to thank Maria, Terrie, Carol and Cathy for making our stay in Tulare far more pleasant than it's ever been. Maria accommodated us the night of our arrival when we found the place we were supposed to stay was unacceptable - which really was no small feat since they were booked. The staff continued to work with us until it was confirmed we could stay for the three nights we needed. The staff also worked with our company and made sure the company credit card was billed. And when our co-worker became very ill on the last morning there, they let us keep the room until that evening when we left for home. Cathy is the bartender and is very sweet and has a great personality! Thank you for making what could have been a terrible trip into one that was very pleasant. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The gym was more than I expected, and every staff person we encountered was very nice.
I will def stay at this location again. Super clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and attentive, directions and recommendations were spot on. Lounge was nice and super convenient to enjopy a cold one and some popcorn while watching the warriors game. One of the best BW's I've ever stayed in.
I'm a professional truck driver who stays out on the road 50-75 nights a year. This is one of the cleanest most comfortable hotels I stay at. I always make a point to stop here when I'm in the neighborhood. The beds are great & the shower heads are fantanstic....
It was a dark and stormy night when we drove into the motel parking lot. It had the room which we reserved. It was a class A room. Also we had a USA Today to read. We had breakfast. We sleep well. Next door to a restaurant. Everything above par.
Very nice BW. We have stayed in many Best Western properties. This is one of the best. Well appointed rooms...everything works as it should. Wonderful full hot breakfast. Pet friendly. We return whenever we are on our through this area.
Great hotel. Very clean, nice large room with mini fridge and micro.Hotel has a pool and spa, laundry room and work out room. Also has a small lounge with a bar inside the hotel. Breakfast was refilled often and had eggs, waffles , fruit , cereal, juice. Walking distance to Apple Annie's restaurant. Should be a Best Western Plus
I needed a place to sleep off of the 99. My customer service from Andrew was great, bed was comfortable and room was nice and clean. My only complaint is the walls are thin so you can hear people in the halls and people above you. Internet was fast and free.
The staff was wonderful. We arrived early, and they allowed us to do early check in, which was super helpful. We were there for a tournament that started early, and since many people at the hotel were there for it, they opened/ served breakfast 30 minutes early so we had time to eat before we had to leave. My daughter had an unexpected mouth injury and needed to do a saltwater rinse late at night. The front desk staff spent probably a good 15 minutes helping us find salt to take up to the room. i was really pleased with how nice they all were.
Nice hotel. Rooms are very clean. Nice breakfast included with stay. The lounge was a nice relaxing after dinner drink before bed. rooms are fairly quite. Good room amenities like coffee maker and clothes iron. Will stay here next time in town.
A little road noise was heard from our room, #107, north side of building. May be quieter on other side (South side). Noise was not enough to complain about, but for a really light sleeper it may be an issue. The on site Lounge was a nice place for us to relax and have a drink.
While traveling I got tired and needed a pet friendly room for the evening. A call to the front desk quickly landed same. The staff, while in the phone, or at the front desk were very quick and professional. Thank you!
We stayed here on New Year's Eve and it was a great place. The check in was quick and easy and very efficient. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The lounge was a nice addition and service was great. Front desk helped us find a good local restaurant. Check out was also quick and easy
Very clean and excellent staff. very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. Room was very clean and again very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and positive attitude in making stay pleasant.
Our suite is huge with an ultra large bedroom with a king bed and a large bedroom with a queen bed. The bathroom has an 8 foot counter with 2 sinks and Pantene hair products. The breakfast is decent with 2 waffle machines which cuts down the line considerably. The hotel is very clean and so cozy we didn't notice how cold it was outside. Great location to go to Kings Canyon (don't miss Cat Haven en route!).
It is the best "Best Western" we have ever stayed at. First of all we travel in the car many times and call Best Western in the afternoon to get a reservation om the way. First of all the gentleman that looked for a location for us suggested Tulare BW Town & Country Lodge. He checked to see the ratings that were showing on this hotel before he recommended it. He said it was a 4.5 star rating. Then when we arrived, we were surprised this one even has a small lounge in the evenings basic food, so we did not have to go back out for dinner and could relax right away. The owner of the lounge was also great and they have some good deals going at least when we were there. The room looked like it had just recently been refurbished and everything looked new and refreshing. All employees were very pleasant and we highly recommend this location. We will always stop here on our way to and from Sacramento.
We booked our stay a night before, and still received the best rate possibly. All friendly staff, very welcoming. Clean and comfortable. We felt like we were at home. We truly enjoyed our stay. Location was convenient.
Staff were friendly, location was good, plenty of restaurants near by, freeway access close and easy. Parking lot has good lighting to see car at night. Lounge could have more snack options, they have food to purchase maybe a better happy hour deal, they do offer two for one drinks. Overall everything was great, this was a business trip.
Stayed for a night with family, very comfortable bed & amenities, breakfast was awesome in the morning. Place is located closer to outlet malls and good for overnight stay to go to Sequoia. Staff was very friendly.
Would recommend again for family friends or business. Facility has easy access and is well cared for. Staff is friendly and helpful. On line reservation is easy and check out is timely. There is a toll free number and a local telephone number to call for help.
The hotel staff was great at first. We stayed there for a duration of about 1 week. We have been having a bad month because we are currently looking for a house to buy. I had explained that to the lady at the front desk. So after the 7th day she didn't let me extend my stay any longer. So I called the manager Tony Coto on 11/30/2015. he told me he could no longer have me stay there due to us using to much shampoo, asking for toothpaste, toothbrushes etc. He also said that we ate to much breakfast. Like that really made me feel awful. Nowhere did they ever say we are limited to anything. Also if you have ever been there you know that the shampoo bottles they give out are so small. There are three woman with long hair I need more than one bottle in my hotel room. Also I'm paying them $90 or more a night like really that cant cover extra shampoo bottles, toothpaste, toothbrushes I occasionally asked for. All I wanted was a little bit of sympathy.
Stay here always when traveling in the area for many years. Staff always kind and helpful, the breakfast alway good and the staff at that time very sweet and great attention to detail and needs of the customers.
Looking for a feel at home stay this is the place. Always clean and staff is super friendly. You can bring your own food as rooms have microwaves for healthier eating. Be sure to check out the pool fir a relaxing stay
Used this hotel on business trip, picked due to good price and location to freeway. Great proximity to restaurants (some walkable) and shopping too. Hotel has all the standard amenities; strong wifi, pool, gym, breakfast.
An excellent Best Western property. We would stay there again. The lounge area was surprisingly large, the hot breakfast items, and organization of the breakfast area, was exceptional. We didn't feel rushed to leave so others could sit at a table. Even though we did not use the bar, it was supplied well and the bar area looked comfortable.
This hotel is nice, clean, quiet. The bed was very comfy. The bar was nice to have for some appetizers, which were very good, since we were driving all day and didn't want to have to get back in the car and drive again. There are restaurants within walking distance, but we chose the bar appetizers instead. Cathy, the bartender, was very pleasant. She made sure she talked to everyone that came in to find out where each one was from and to talk a bit. The breakfast was good too. One thing that needs to be known, there is no elevator so make sure you get first floor, unless you want to have to tote your bags up the stairs like we did. We would stay here again but on the first floor.
This motel has been one of the best mid range motels I have ever stayed at. The outside was in very good shape. I felt very comfortable as my wife and I pulled up. The staff was very polite and had us checked in fast. The room was very clean .bed was comfortable.
This is a GREAT best western..Very clean, roomy! Lounge to grab a drink or two, dope breakfast! We stayed here while we went to the Sequoia park during the day. Super great location, by target and walmart, big 5 etc.. Staff is awesome, fast, and caring. I'm staying here for now on when I'm visiting the parks!
Always a pleasure to stay at this Best Western. This was at least my second stay in this particular hotel. Staff is always wonderful, friendly, and go beyond the norm to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The room was very clean and welcoming. Comfortable bed and had a very good nights sleep. Highly recommend.
Stayed one night on our way south. One of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed out and would be my first choice again. It was close to downtown room was quiet and easy freeway access Staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel was well maintained, the room was a nice size and clean. The breakfast was good, the usual menu was adequate and the breakfast room was comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
After a long days of work it was nice to relax in a clean and spacey room. The are was also nice and quite. And a lot of good places to dine at..good and hot breakfast. The staff was nice and friendly
Travelling from San Francisco on the way to Yosemite, this hotel was chosen by our tour operator. A typical 2 storey American Motel. Very tired. We were unfortunate enough to have rooms on the ground floor located close to the ice machine which seemed to be running constantly causing noise which was impossible to ignore. When we called reception they apologised but said they had workers using the machine.
We stayed one night here on the way to yosemite and we were pleasantly suprised. Check in was easy and staff polite. The room was overall good and a decent breakfast was included. Would most definitely stay here again.
This place has some nice "extras": guest laundry, cocktail lounge, exercise room, great internet, reasonable hot breakfast. There is a separate stand for the microwave, fridge and coffee maker. It has a pool and a hot tub,and so on. Maybe the best Best Western We've stayed at, and we've stayed at several, always as just passing through on road trips. Glad we found this one.
The receptionist at check in was very friendly and helpful, as well as very professional. The room was very quiet, and breakfast was also very good. There was work to renovate several rooms, and it was clear that the management was committed to keeping the property in. Top condition.
Nice property. Home away from home. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is delicious. Area is filled with places to eat and things to do. I would highly recommend this property to any type of traveler. Love Best Western!!
my overall review from my stay at the best western in tulare califorina was great.the staff was great, helpful the cleanleness of the facility was great, and i loved the fact they had a fitness room on the premesis. great overall
Rooms clean, great service, greated with a smile all the time. Stayed in several different places, due to late booking, but always end up at BW. Close to stores and every restaurant you can think of. Easy access to FWY. You'll love your stay??????.
The room we had was a typical room, nothing special but the people there were great. We enjoyed the free breakfast and at night they are one of the few in this price range that offer a bar/lounge where you can relax and visit with other travelers. When we stayed, there was a big event so the hotel was full. Kathy, who was the bartender kept everyone happy, even cooking from their snack menu while serving cocktails. The front desk was always helpful and as others have said, it's easy freeway access either direction.
Maria has great customer service awesome place and very friendly plenty of parking for a semi . Having a bar to relax after a long day of work. My co-workers also stay here due to easy actsess to fwy.
It was an excellent and pleasant stay at the best western due to the convenient location right off the freeway and at the proximity of gas station and fast food restaurant. The staff is also very nice.
Friendly people, good accomodations, good breakfast. We stay every time we go from Sacramento to Los Angeles or vice versa It is about half way on our trip and is a nice place to stop for the night. We look forward to the experience of staying there in the same room all of the time (we request Room 108 when we make resevations..
After driving 600 miles that day, the Best Western Town & Country Lodge was a very welcome sight. The staff was highly accommodating and the property was really nice, nearly a PLUS property. We were tired and hungry and could not have been treated better .
We weren't far from home, but lots of traffic in SoCal made the trip too long. So we literally stopped 45 minutes away from here to do a search and book a room. Traveling on a Sunday, so we got a wonderful rate! Check in could have been friendlier, but no problems. Our room was clean and comfortable. Pretty basic. We were late to breakfast as my teenage son moves like a glacier, however the woman there kept it open for us. She was friendly and accommodating. Made my morning smoother! Also enjoyed the sequoias outside our window in the morning. It was a nice change from your average street or parking lot view. I would stay here again.
I was very happy to find this hotel near Visalia where my daughter's new family lives. We all met for pre wedding planning since they are getting married in Mariposa/Yosemite so this was the hotel near Visalia that we chose. This hotel was affordable and very nice for the money. It was so clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar was a full breakfast with fresh fruit, meat, scrambled eggs, breads, waffles, etc. The staff was very friendly. A little mishap happned shortly after check in where housekeeping walked into our room without knocking. But hopefully that won't happen again to anyone else. I was nice about it but definitely let them know it had happened.
I attend an event annually in Tulare and have for about 8 years. I found this location 5 years ago and have not looked for a different place to stay since. The staff are wonderful, breakfast is good and the lounge is great. I feel like I receive a really good value and a very comfortable stay.
Stay here when in this area. Nice clean rooms. We like the lounge and light snack features. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The pool was too cold to get onto but hot tub was nice temperature. Good variety of breakfast items.
Very clean. employees helpful, cheerful and pleasant. Nice breakfast Bar with drinks nice clean pool close to bar. We stayed extended time for a family wedding. Was consistently above average employees.
We've stayed here many times before and we're never disappointed with the treatment received by the staff. The front desk staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and explain things in detail. The rooms are always immaculate. This is close to the 99 Freeway if needed. There is a bar on-site and you receive a 2-for-1 coupon upon check-in. We'll be back!
This B&W is fantastic! The friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms and great breakfast made for the perfect stay. I recommend the king suite (2 rooms, with king and queen). My family of four had heaps of room.
We had a large room with good AC, lots of TV channels, desk with nearby plugs and a nightstand on each side. The hotel has 2 stories but no elevator. It was clean, quiet and provided good value. The bathroom is small with little counter space but had ample towels. Breakfast was good with lots of seating.
Quiet hotel and comfortable beds (inkling the pillows). Staff was pleasant and gave us several selections on where to eat dinner, all of them close by. The lounge was an added benefit and much enjoyed - buy one get one free! Bartender couldn't have been nicer -
Have always enjoyed staying at this best Western. Staff is very dedicated to their Guests and their position. Would recommend this Best western to anyone. I spent 24 years at a Major hotel Chain and this is right up there with the best.
I am new to the area and travel on business, the hotel staff was great with many recommendations and great customer service. I will be staying here moving forward, sadly I am a Hilton Honors Diamond and usually stick to Hilton but after my last encounter at the Hampton Tulare, I have found my new home at the Best Western.
2 adults and 2 kids enjoyed our short but sweet stay here. They honoured our Australian AAA (RAC) membership without hesitation, for an appreciated discount (see their website). Rated 5 circles, simply for the value for money element. We aren't 5 star travellers but have enjoyed 5 star resorts in Bali so know what 5 stars feels like. This is a 3 star hotel and delivers that service at every level. A HUGE thank you must go to Shana on reception who went out of her way to be of assistance, where nothing was ever too much trouble. The pool is a decent size though quite cool despite the current heat wave and the small but warm spa is delightful, to warm up after a fresh dip. Yes the breakfast area is small but a very wide selection and the freshest of fruit provided. Air con in room was effective but clunky (noisy), beds were comfortable and they even let us stay in the pool after closing time, provided we were respectful of the quiet time. I highly recommend this hotel if you are passing through. From a very satisfied Aussie family!
From the moment we drove into the parking lot until the moment we drove out of the parking lot, our experience at this hotel was awesome! Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, full, yummy breakfast and great amenities! Will definitely stay here again!!!
This is our go to place every time we make the drive. The only downer is the cattle smell that was particularly string this time. It does not bother you inside at all though! The staff is quite friendly and always accommodating.
This Hotel never ceases to amaze me. Tony and his crew are super friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. There is always a warm welcome and a smiling face when you check in. Recently I made a request regarding my room involving television stations and on my very next stay the request had been taken care of. There are not too many hotels that remember the requests and actually do all they can to accommodate them. I really appreciate this hotel and will continue to stay with them whenever I visit Tulare.
We stayed at BW for a night after exploring Sequoia NP for a couple days. The location was convenient to Park, it was less then a hour drive. The hotel was nice, room was good size and clean . The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices to eat. Seating was a little tight at breakfast, we had to wait a couple minutes till a table opened up. There are plenty of restaurants nearby to eat. We thought the hotel was a good value for the money and we liked the location. The outside could use a little TLC, but no effects on out stay.
Very clean room, lobby, exterior, and everything else. The outside had a very nice look it as well. Breakfast was very good and had a lot to pick from. I would stay here again if I need a hotel in Tulare. Best Western is always my first choice in hotel stays.
