This is a case of-"what you pay, is what you get"- the price is reasonable compare to the overpriced hotels it Turin. Pros- A quiet neighborhood Walking distance to the center, not so close- 25-30 minute Staff are quite friendly and efficient Cons- The rooms needs a complete renovation- ignoring the old décor, the shower is so old that it is uncleanable, the toilet takes forever to fill out, and while doing so make horrible noise 1 meter from your bed... The whole hotel has an old and tired feeling
We were really pleased with our choice of hotel for a four day break in Turin. Ideally located at the other side of the river it was quiet but easy to get to main tourist areas on foot or nearby bus/ trams etc. The staff were so helpful and friendly , giving us recommendations for local restaurants, phoning for taxis and even allowing us to charge our phones when we returned to collect our suitcases and use toilet etc before leaving for the airport. Rooms were really comfortable with air conditioning and mini fridges. ( would have been helpful to have had a note of cost of bottled water as we didn't know if it was chargeable or not but it was only one euro so not really a problem) The breakfast buffet was lovely with plenty of choice including cereal, breads, fruit, yogurts, meats, cheese and cake! Although there was no cooked options there was more than enough to choose from. Communication with the hotel was excellent. They even had an electrical adaptor ready for me when I messaged to ask about sockets beforehand. Would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly return if I come back to Turin.
We stayed here for 2 nights. There is a secure parking garage which we appreciated. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood on the opposite side of the river, well outside the Ztl zone of Turin. Our room was good with fast Wifi and efficient airconditioning. Staff was friendly. We paid the night before we left and had a quick checkout. We did not take breakfast so we were glad it is optional at this hotel.
Staying at Best Western Hotel Crimea was excellent. The Reception Desk team was always ready to assist. The level of cleanliness was super. There was a good choice of items at breakfast and all was very good. The location is a km or so away from the city centre, but it's a pleasant walk.
Everything was pretty good, location very convenient to center of the city. Staff very helpful and willing to offer things out of the normal for our convenience, as offer breakfast late on Sunday. Thank you
This is a very plain and basic hotel, but for the price it's great. Very clean. The location is great- in a nice and quiet neighborhood just across the river from the city centre. It's an easy walk to cross the bridge and get to everything you need, but it's nice to come back across to the Crimea side of the river where it's much more quiet and relaxed.
The Crimea is a short walk (about 20 mins) from the train station in a quiet, leafy neighborhood near Valentina Park. It's a lovely hotel in a lovely setting. The mattress on the bed offered good support and we got a great night's sleep. The bathroom was stellar.Great staff, good breakfast and a very comfortable stay. Don't be put off my the distance from the Center. It is worth the short walk and gives you a perspective of a neighborhood in lovely Turin.
We had an excellent stay last weekend at this hotel. It is in a quiet area but not too far to walk to the city centre (about 20 minutes). The room was a good size and very comfortable. The staff were first class - helpful and friendly. I recommend the breakfast (continental style) - excellent value at only €4. There's a good pizzeria very close - Casa Crimea.
This hotel is excellent in every way that I care about. It is clean, quiet, perfectly located in a beautiful neighborhood with every amenity you could want. The owners are on site and the staff is excellent.
Again i stayed at this small but very comfortable and well staffed hotel....not fancy but every comfort and service is offered by a most caring staff. The receptionists are so helpful and take care of your every need. The breakfast is one of the best i have experienced even at 4 star hotels...home made cakes and breads... organic yoghurts...great coffee. All day you can order coffee or a cocktail. The bedrooms are not large but beds are comfortable and each day caringly spruced up as are the bathrooms. I recommend this hotel highly.
Booked this as a last minute decision & so happy I did. Very friendly & helpful Receptionist who found me impossible tickets for the soccer. Room with a queen size & small bed very was very spacious. Large cupboard for storage & desk to use. Nice new bathroom with ample bench space & luxurious shower. Buffet continental breakfast with breads, yoghurts, cereal, museli, hams & cheese, crossaints, cakes & juices.
I was with a group of rowers for nights, we came for an International Regatta: Inverno sul PO. The place is close to the PO river, near the center of Torino (10 min. walk) The Hotel Is very clean, the beds are confortable, very rich breakfast, nice people in the reception
This hotel stays in a pretty quiet neighbourhood, a bit remote from the public transportation, but overall good location. Walkable distance to one of the spectacular panoramic view points of Turin. Hotel features renovated rooms with excellent bathroom facilities. Room had a cattle and complementary tea/coffee. Breakfast is good for the price it costs. I would like to acknowledge the staff of the hotel who were very attentive, welcoming and helpful. This is very comfortable 3 stars hotel which I would definitely recommend.
Stay 2 night in this hotel. Nice staff and clean room. Also good isolation and warm rooms. Breakfast was ok and cheap, don't expect American/English breakfast. It's some walking distance but u can get to the city center in 10-15 min by foot.
Being a seasoned traveller, i usually stay at 4 star hotels but i was pleasantly surprised at all the comforts and great service at this hotel. Far from the maddening crowd of central Torino, the hotel is in a lovely residential area with easy access by bus to nearby Porta Nuova station and Palazzo Madama....a must visit for all who like me love history and wonderful buildings. Actually Torino is a most baroque city and there is much to see and enjoy. Breakfast is delicious with different breads and cakes and other delicacies...the coffee is super! At the bar in the foyer you can have coffee or drinks and not be charged the ridiculous prices other hotels gouge. There is a garden area too. My bedroom was small but large enough for me, a most comfortable bed and in the bathroom all the amenities you could ever want. Spotlessly clean which also is important for me and they even have boxes of kleenex which most 4 star hotels no longer supply. so if you take time to read this....do visit the BW Crimea HOtel..you will be well pleased.
I have just returned from a long week-end with several others, staying at this Best Western Crimea Hotel in Turin. Initial views were very bright, white reception, staff very pleasant, the rooms clean and inviting and really pleased that the room key was a 'magnet' rather than a plastic card - they never seem to work. WiFi throughout the Hotel and bedrooms. Breakfast pleasant, but would love them to set up a working kitchen to provide some interesting evening meals. (Move the bar to a corner, add a wall to enclosed the small breakfast kitchen, reduce the reception desk). I loved the city, even the manic driving.
Great location for visit to the city transportation nearby pleasant rooms good staff excellent breakfast try not to take a room facing main road very tiny elevator thus avoid having room on top floor if you have too much luggage
No frills room which was a little dated but clean, comfy and quiet at a reasonable cost. Stayed here on business and managed to snatch a few hours to walk into town. The location of the hotel is very good for sight seeing. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was pretty standard service. Good enough for my required needs on a one night business trip.
We spent 1 night there and it was a very pleasant stay. The staff is very helpful, the hotel is 10 minutes walk from the center. The rooms are confortable and the breakfast was really great. Will come back for my next trip in Torino.
Most of the staff was very friendly. A bit disappointed about checkin staff telling me they cannot upgrade me as the hotel is full, but after seeing a nicer room with a better bathroom, i could get the room for 20 euros more per day..... The rooms have very thin walls, i could here the person in the room next to me talking and even blowing his nose..... Breakfast is amazing for the 4 euro they charge. Really good. The location is nice, on the hillside of Turin, just across the Po River from Parco Valentino. To get there, from the airport take the Sadem bus to Puerto Nuevo, and then take bus 52 for 6 stops (Crimea).
Hotel staff is just perfect Friendly, available They do everything in order to make your staying perfect. Room is large and comfortable and clean Bed is good Breakfast is ok Hotel is very well located close to main place to visit , walking distance
The room was pretty spacious and quiet. Nice, modern and clean toilet with everything; very comfortable bed and warm temperature. The service is very nice and helpful as well. The location is good, in a quiet area just next to the river and like twenty minutes walk to the city centre. The breakfast is not too wide but it has variety of everything and the cakes are very tasty. It is pretty complete. I highly recommend it.
We wanted somewhere to stay in Turin over New Year that wasn't too costly or far from the centre, then we stumbled upon this lovely little hotel. We had a double room which was furnished with a TV, desk, chair, luggage rack and wardrobe. The shower we had was absolutely amazing and a very welcome form of relaxation after a long day exploring Turin! Staff are very friendly and approachable. There is reliable free wifi which also provide very helpful. The walk to Porta Nuova is around 25 minutes. However there is a bus stop just outside the hotel which has the number 66, 70 and 52 go past. The 52 takes you across the bridge and into the centre of town every 10 minutes on a weekday or every 20 minutes on a weekend. The hotel is situated close to 2 minimarts where you can buy supplies. There are also a few decent restaurant around. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Very quiet hotel in a great location. My room was not very big it was but confortable enough and also really silent. Good and breakfast and very nice staff. I would definitely repeat on my next trip to Turin.
We stayed for one night only and although the hotel is not in the city centre, it is close to the river and in a quiet part of Turin. Our room was unexpectedly large - great for 3 people, bathroom was large and well equipped, quite modern - overall this hotel was very good value for money.
Spent 2 nights in October in this hotel with my wife for holiday trip. Quiet neighborhood, own covered parking (15 Euros per day), clean room, very friendly and helpful reception staff. We were unfortunate with weather, but that's really not hotel's fault. There is a fuel station 150 mters away and big supermarket at 300 meters. Walking distance to center (piazza Vittorio Veneto and via Po) about 20-25 minutes along the river promenade after crossing a bridge. For 4 euros per person you have simple and decent breakfast. All in all a good value for money.
excellent location, small but comfortable room with twin beds, a bit noisy in the early morning from the traffic in the street but not too bad, very good breakfast, excellent personnel would surely return
Good Hotel, about 20 minutes walk to the city centre in a nice and safe neighbourhood. Personal was keen to help. I think it has a good price/quality ratio. When you visit, ask the staff places to eat, they will recommand you great places!
Nice room, good wifi and breakfast. It is just on the edge of the river and about a 25 minute walk to the Palace. There are a few good neighbourhood restaurants as well as a very good little supermarket across the road. We did choose this hotel using my airline points....but we did elect to stay an extra paid night.
I stayed there 2 nights on july 2016, with my two daughters (7 and 11 years) and my wife: it was very, very good. Personel: was always nice and available; they gave us all information we need about transportation, amusement and places to visit in Torino and around the city. Room: we slept in a double room very confortable, clean and bright with parquet and terrace; although the bathroom was not so large, it was ok for all. Breakfast: hotel Crimea have a very good and variegated breakfast; they provide some food also for celiac and people on diet. Location: the hotel is located in a quiet residential area (Crimea). Although it is not exactly in the center, this place is excellent because you can reach Valentino Park in 2 minutes and Piazza Castello (downtown) in 10/15 minutes on foot, crossing Umberto I bridge (the nearest metro stop is Porta Susa). Anyway you also can catch n.52 bus. Near the hotel there are some restaurant, bar and tobacco. Parking: the hotel has got 7 car parking places, anyway, on july we had not problem to find free place close the hotel (along the street in Crimea area, we payed the daily regular rate) I suggest this hotel for family that wish to spend an holiday in Torino and sleep in a quiet residential area.
This hotel is at a reasonnable price, 15 minutes from the historic district. Rooms are large and clean with wooden floors. Breakfast buffet offer a lot of choice. very good. You can get your coffee the way you want, even capuccino early in the morning. Personnel is very friendly and helpful, Thanks to Donato who arranged a walking discovery tour for us and very helpful to orient us in the city. you can also park your car in front of the hotel at a small price and forget about it during your stay We loved that. there are some family run little restaurants in the area if you dont want to walk too far. I definitely recommend this hotel
Warm welcome, very clean room. Excellent breakfast included in the price.Free wi-fi which worked!!! Not many restaurants in immediate vicinity but city is walkable( if you are a good walker!) or you can take a taxi.Parking 15 euros a day.
Quite an ok hotel but don't expect anything out of the ordinary. Breakfast was fine too. Good location to walk to the city centre. The room I had was a bit small but the bed was comfortable. Close by are some nice simple restaurants. Turin is a great place to visit.
Second Best Western Hotel we stayed as a family on our Euro Vacation, The Hotel is the opposite side of River Po in a predominantly residential area which is quiet. Our room was a good size and beds very comfy even the fold out divan! Bathroom also great not the usual broom closet you encounter in Europe! Room very clean and well stocked. Staff were welcoming and extremely helpful and the breakfast included in tariff was excellent!! There is supermarket 10 min walk away and a few restaurants around the corner. The main shopping strip is 20-25 min walk which is doable but if you have children this might be a big ask, we usually walked into town and got cabs back... All in all couldnt fault a thing and if you are on a budget this is well worth the soldi!
Stayed here for one night on drive from France to Italy What a gem! The room was HUGE! The ensuite had a spa bath & the best shower I have ever had. Not only a shower head but body jets that massaged my back beautifully. Breakfast was included and was very nice. The only complaint was the pillows were very hard but this seem to be the norm for Europe.
We stayed at the Hotel Crimea for 10 nights while we toured around Turin. The hotel is clean, well run and the rooms - including the bathrooms - are very spacious. First the staff - as this was my first time in Turin and we wanted to do a lot of touring I had a lot of questions. I wrote many emails to the hotel and they were always prompt and helpful in their replies…this helpfulness continued throughout our stay….The person at the front desk (many times it was Donato who was particularly accommodating) was cheerful and always willing to help…The hotel is across the river in the Crimea area and so somewhat of a walk out from the center. But the neighborhood is beautiful and the walk to the hotel gorgeous - we enjoyed it as we got to see many different squares and such as we varied our walk home each night. The walk across the river is stunning - especially in various nights. The room includes breakfast - typical fare - yogurt, cereals, breads, cheese, some meats, fruit…..We loved our stay there and felt particularly at home….by the way the cost was quite moderate!
We chose the hotel as it has car parking (which must be booked) but would return anyway. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location is good being just over the river from the historic area of Turin and not far from the tourist bus routes. The beds were good and the showers and facilities also. If you do not want to walk there are 2 frequent buses that take you 1km to the station or it is a 12euro taxi ride the very centre of the old town.
All the staff were very helpfull and the room was good. An excellent shower was perfect because it was almost 40 degrees!! We rented the hotel bikes during our stay and they were in good condition. The wifi worked very good and also the airco was a big plus during those hot days. At night very quiet and in the morning a nice breakfast. All in all a very good hotel with a nice location to visit Turin.
