Best Western Plus City Centre/Centre-Ville

In the heart of Old Québec, it is well located and close to everything. Nice and clean room with a huge shower. We enjoyed the breakfast with an over and beyone service in a beautiful athmosphere (unique environment for a restaurant).

Excellent dinner experience. Creative entrees. Fantastic tiramisu dessert. Friendly staff, thoroughly bi-lingual. The room was clean and it was a quiet part of the hotel because I was on the top floor in the executive area.

terrible ventilation, we had to keep the door open so we could get some clean air, very bad service at the buffet and expensive 450 pesos per person, and bad quality, it is a 20 min walk to any main attractions, overall bad, look somewhere else

This hotel is in a good location about 30 minutes walking distance from downtown Quebec. There are some restaurants, cafes and stores in the area but downtown Quebec has more restaurants. The hotel breakfast was very good and filling for the entire day, unlike many hotel breakfasts these days. The breakfast service was very good and the waiters are very nice. When we arrived to the hotel we had some issues with our fridge and TV and the front desk promptly sent someone to our room to fix the issue. The room itself wasn't bad and had comfortable beds and good shower equipment. The only thing I had was the interior of the room and parts of the hotel were a bit outdated but other than that, the value for the price we paid was absolutely worth it.

The location was in a cool neighborhood, just a short walk 20 min walkfrom Old Quebec. Great restaurants steps away (in all directions) from the hotel. A chance to feel what Quebec is like outside of the tourist area. Breakfast was simple, but tasty and the staff was excellent.

Great location and nice rooms. My coworkers and I stayed at this hotel last year and returned this year. Comfortable beds and pillows, a nice large washroom, and showers with great water pressure. We didn't have any complaints! Also, it is a very convenient location.

Horrible part of town, staff needs to be more customer advocate. We waited a long time to check in the lobby while the staff let other guests check in. Tour directions were horrible, directions around the area lousy by staff

We took a quick last minute family holiday. Everything at our hotel exceeded our expectations. Front desk staff always friendly answering my questions. Technician was quick and efficient replacing the battery in our safe and replacing the motor in bathroom fan which had gotten really loud. We had a large room with two queen beds.

The front desk staff is very professional and friendly. Housekeeping is the worst for 3 days we were out of our room from 8:00am until 15:00. The rooms were never made up by housekeeping. I had to go to the front desk 3 times. They never vacuumed and on the 3rd day just got towels when she finally came at 16:00. They must improve.

Love the fact that the room had a living area not just a bed and a desk. Personal was friendly and very helpful. Bed was confortable and pressure in the shower was perfect. Location was good, lots of restaurant a store around.

This place will always be sentimental to me because it's where I spent my first White Christmas. In the part of Australia I live in White Christmases are difficult to come by. I usually stay in budget hostels so this place, fancy by my standards, was my Christmas treat. I was pleased that the staff were friendly, approachable and familiar with the seemingly trivial but always appreciated act of ‘smiling'. Sounds obvious but not everyone in customer service knows about smiling, even though it's been around for a while. If you intend to walk into Old Town, which we did every day, it is about 2km. There would undoubtedly be a bus but we didn't research it too much because we didn't know if they would operate on public holidays. The walk to central station is blessedly a shorter one.

I had to book last minute and I am not from quebec city. The lady on the phone was very helpful and help me have a better price for the nights I was staying. When I checked in the front staffs were vert pleasant and helped me get around the city to my work place. And during breakfast the servers were very nice and did a great job. Would recommend

The staff was very helpful and respectful for us who does not speak French. The guest rooms are in excellent condition, very clean and comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was included but surprised to have it served plated and not a buffet style. Their on-site restaurant have good food and feels like fine dining. I give this hotel 5 stars.

Front desk are very helpful and provided me options on where to park which I appreciated. Street in front of the hotel is one way with no sign where to park, so, very stressful driving around to find where to park while checking in. Room looks clean, but so dusty once you turn on the lights.

It was a short stay to visit Quebec City during the holiday week, and we had a good experience. The hotel staff were very attentive, and I was delighted that they upgraded our room and had free breakfast for two during our entire stay. Service was fast and they answered some of our questions related to commuting. The location is great as it is in the street filled with restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacies. Will choose this location again when we come back to Quebec.

The hotel is very nice. Check in and out were easy. The free breakfast was excellent, but table service is slow. A good take out breakfast is available. The staff is helpful. The hotel is in a safe but not interesting neighborhood. Some restaurants are nearby There is a direct bus from the airport. For a cruise departure, the port is a nice, level 45 minute walk, mostly along the river.

This hotel looks a bit out of the way but it is in a great food and shopping district. It's an $11 taco ride from the old city. The young staff were helpful and competent and a pleasure to interact with. Our room was clean and spacious and the electronic key worked all the time!

The hotel was newly renovated and the room is spacious and clean. It is about 20 minutes walk to Old Town. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel offered good breakfast. There are lots of good restaurants near by.

We stayed here during our Pearl Jam concert tour road trip. Staff was very friendly & even upgraded us to a bigger, nicer suite upon check in. Room was very nice & clean. No complaints there. We had an issue with parking when we returned to hotel but staff solved our problem immediately. Next morning the breakfast included (free) with our stay was delicious. Again staff were friendly & helpful. Menu options were good & presentation of food was nice too. No complaints at all. Short drive to the Videotron Centre. Plus many of restaurants & entertainment within walking distance. We'll definitely stay here again.

For the price we paid for this hotel, we expected a lot more. First, the hotel is in the middle of a construction zone. When we arrived, there was street construction and construction on the building next door. It's almost impossible to maneuver around the local streets, and it was difficult to arrive at the entrance. The construction noise also hindered sleep, as it began fairly early in the morning. Ensure you no not get a room on the side facing the construction! When we arrived, we were informed that parking was not included, and we would have to pay a service fee for parking. This wasn't too surprising, as many hotels do this. What was surprising was the parking itself. There are 2 small lots off a small sides street behind the hotel that serve as the parking for all the hotel guests. These lots are gravel covered, and surrounded by temporary fences and gates. There are not denoted parking spaces, so it seemed like a free-for-all for everyone to delineate their space. There is not enough space in the 2 lots for everyone, so get there early if you want to park. We were asked to check in on a computer screen, instead of speaking with a person behind the counter. I'm not sure if this was a COVID protocol, or because of the labor shortage in the hospitality industry, but it was very impersonal. As well, when I finished and wanted to print my receipt, the machine spit out rolls and rolls of paper, and wouldn't stop. As well, it never gave me my card keys, so I had to speak with someone behind the counter anyway. When I left for my 20 minute expedition to find the parking lots, the paper was still coming out of the machine. I can't fault the room, it was nice and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the shower was warm and powerful. The amenities in the bathroom were sparse, but adequate. The only issue was the construction next door, but I'm sure when that is completed, sleep quality will be better. In all, we spent way to much for a disappointing stay. Best Western is usually very good, and we were expecting excellence and got mediocrity.

When we arrived the hotel, the parking was full, so we had to park in the garage cross street. However due one way and nearby road constructions, it took me 15 minutes to find the parking entrance The room is out of date with odor. The cleaning of the room is a big concern, we found 2 flying bugs in the room and had to start killing them. We also found leftover fries underneath the small table. The pillow was really not comfortable. The tub facuet was leaking when showerhead was on and 1/3 water just leaked away. We stayed 4 nights and there was no room cleaning service on the first day. We came back during late night and found out there was no clean work done, so we had to call front desk to have someone to come to collect garbage bags and give us clean towels. I asked the front desk “Do you provide room service”, they said yes and sorry for missing the room cleaning. On second day, they came to clean the room. On the third day, they didn't come to clean room again. After returning the hotel at 10pm, I had to call the front desk to come to collect garbage bags, to give us toilet paper and towels. We stayed total 4 nights, but only got one time room cleaning. The second day (Friday morning, August 26th) we waited over an hour before having the breakfast. The young waiter didn't put our orders in the system at all. We found something was wrong after 45 minutes waiting and I went to ask the young waiter what happened to our orders, he didn't have any response, then I had to ask another senior waiter, he found out something was wrong and replaced our orders. Then finally we got the food in about another 15 minutes, but the egg was cooked in wrong way, they had to take back the food and recook the eggs. After over 1 hour waiting, we finally had our breakfast. So just for the breakfast, we had to spend over 1.5 hours. At the beginning of ordering, we asked for Soy milk, the young waiter said no soy milk, which was a lie, as we had soy milk on the first day. After the initial ordering, he said “no problem, my friend”. Then there was a big problem, he didn't put our order in the system at all. Our family (3 persons) were very unhappy with this kind of breakfast service. After breakfast, The waiter brought me a bill with 1 cent of charge, then told me that I need to pay $15 for the tips (the service charge). Then I paid for it, I am sure not all hotel guests know about service charge, some guests might never know about it.

This hotel is conveniently located a 15 minute walk from Old Quebec. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated and the bed very comfy. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast was from a menu and served to us. Lots of variety.

Dissatisfied overall - the price is too high for the location and there are surcharges for parking, dog, taxes applied to taxes... couldn't sleep due to noises from inside and outside.. Not recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The hotel itself is very clean and nice. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The hotel is in a bit of a sketchy part of town and also a good 25 minute walk to Old Quebec. There is a nightly charge of 20.00 to park your car in two adjacent parking lots. Even though we were not a fan of the location the staff were super helpful and friendly. Another plus is within a five minute walk there is an area with numerous restaurants and cafes. Overall it was a good stay but the hotel pricing per night is very expensive. For the price next time we would stay closer to Old Quebec.

Very nice hotel relatively near to the Old Quebec. Rooms were clean and efficient. Shower was good and there was a coffee machine in the room. Beds were comfortable and the walls were sound proofed nicely. No problems at all with anything. Parking is 30CAD per night at this time.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here, at a convenient walking distance from the Via Rail train station in Quebec. The staff was very helpful and we adored the size of our room. It may be a bit of an expensive accommodation, but sometimes you just have to indulge yourself ;-)

The hotel is nice, the construction outside however isn't great. The pool is small but manageable for kids. The hotel room was big and cozy. I liked how the beds weren't side to side they were across the room from one another .

In the states, usually when you think Best Western Hotel you don't think modern and super chic! What a wonderful surprise this hotel was, wow! (I guess that's where the "Plus" comes in) They are currently undergoing renovations, but it's not loud or annoying. Our King room was gorgeous, with the biggest showers I've ever seen, in or out of a hotel! Amenities were top shelf, cleanliness was impeccable. The staff was a total delight. Friendly, kind, helpful, just a joy. I'm only sorry I missed the beautiful swimming pool room, which I didn't see until we checked out. Also an amazing breakfast restaurant which is open till 11 am.

We are here for 4 days and are booked into a room with two queen beds. There's lots of room in our rental plus locker storage for items. The pool is nice and the work out room. Breakfast was included. The location works for us to park our car but also walk out the front door and go. Food and things right out the door. Renovations are going on and it's looking very nice around the hotel.

Location was good and convenient walking distance to the main sight viewing of Quebec city. Room was spacious but believe the cleaning staff can do a better job. The breakfast made up with excellent food and table services.

The hotel is under renovations, so the lobby area is completely torn apart. Feel for the staff working from their little corner desk area in all the construction area of major dust. Our room was clean/ staff courteous. The area around this hotel is sketchy and we made sure we were back in our room before dark. Really -- $20.00/night for parking is a gravel/pot holed/unsecured parking lot -- really -- in such a sketchy area!!!

Did not feel safe in this area, and too far for tourists attractions or congress centre. Water ran brown and heat / air did not work properly. Perhaps because of all the renovation? Moved to the Delta and then the Fairmont for the rest of my 14 day business trip

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We were not satisfied with the room service, though we had to request several times for cleaning during our stay. The hotel is located in an area with about 25 minutes walking distance to old Quebec. Hotel amenities are good, but the pool is very small and not that much clean. It is probably because they were doing renovation in the first floor and reception area.

I had a nice stay. Hotel is very well located in « basse ville » or St-Roch. There were major renovations happening at the lobby but there was no noise issue. The parking, 30$/night, it way too expansive. It's an outdoor gravel parking… cmon.

We stayed 3 nights here. Our room wasn't cleaned well at all- in fact, we didn't get new cups for coffee / water and the bathroom was barely touched. Day 2 of stay. We returned after a day out to Find our door ajar!! We think the cleaners didn't close door. I was very upset at this as we could have been robbed. Staff were unhelpful and just said if anything was stolen to let them know but seemed unphased at the security/privacy issue. Two lamps in our room were broken and there weren't many plugs in the room at all. 2 nights were spent listening to people running in the halls. The area around the hotel is sketchy and we felt unsafe to go out in the evenings. If this is “ Plus”, I shudder to think what is below this level.

The positives - Excellent location (walking distance to many restaurants), staff were super friendly and helpful, the executive room was fantastic, massive shower with multiple heads, the breakfast was above and beyond delicious (highly recommend the crepe). The negatives - shortage of staff meant I couldn't check in until well after 5 pm, no parking (but there is an underground parking complex literally right beside the hotel). My experience was over all a positive one, and since this is likely a one-off, I'll still give the place 4 stars, as once I was checked in and the room was ready, my experience was excellent. Would stay here again and give them the benefit of the doubt about the check in situation being abnormal.

Front desk staff wonderful and helpful. Room was clean. I wish I had been advised of or offered a discount t for the fact that I had to stay in a construction zone. Defiantly was upsetting to pay full price for that. Furthermore the guests staying above me decided to come home at 1am. I heard their conversation, their walking and everything. I was then up from 1-4am. This is not the hotel staff issue but it's an issue if you can hear your neighbours to the extent that it means very poor sleep.

The king size bed was huge and very comfortable, nice room with large shower, very clean. It was a good location, not too long of a walk from the old part of town and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

First the hotel was in the middle of a renovation, the whole 1st floor, lobby and all, is full of dust and noise. Well, the rest of the hotel seems fine, let's stay, but they put us in a room in which the air conditioning was not working, the room kept getting hotter and hotter by the minute, the thermostat completely broken. We called the front desk and they said they knew the air wasn't working before giving us the room. Why did they give us that room then? I asked to speak to the manager and she was gone for the night, a Friday evening with the hotel in the middle of a renovation, who does that? If I did that at my job I would be out on the street. After a good hour and after many complaints, because first they wanted to move us to a smaller room when we paid for a suite, they finally gave us adjoining rooms where the air was working and we weren't slowly cooking. The pool is nice, though.

The lobby was under construction, as was the pool area. We could still use the pool, but the area was not tidy. The rooms were clean. Because our son was 10, the included breakfast he had to choose from was the children's menu, which was not enough for him so it resulted in us having to pay additional amounts to supplement his meal.

We had no idea that there were animals allowed. But quite frankly I think that pets should have a floor determined for them, if it is the 4 floor, I do not want to be on it. Our room had a camouflage smell, so now I know they had too many dogs in it, they had to put a strong powder perfume on the carpet! The staff are all so very polite and the breakfast is just too good, that is why it's our second time going. If I do go back, I will ask an upgrade to where there is no dogs barking. Big renovations are now going on in the front lobby. This Best Western is very well situated.

Hello, my name is Audrey-Anne Doyle and I spent 1 (terrible) night at the best western Quebec Centre Ville. How is it possible that nowhere on your web page it is advertised that the hotel is undergoing MAJOR renovations? The lobby of the hotel is full of EXPOSED electrical wires, walls were cracked, electrical plugs were covered with tape and you could literally see the dust in the air. This hotel is nothing short of a construction site. We only realized the deplorable conditions of the hotel when we arrived and weren't able to find elsewhere to stay. I feel deceived by the fact that the hotel was literally torn down.

Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Hotel was clean and spacious. Used a local English/French speaking licensed tour guide to take us to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, Île d'Orléans, Montmorency Falls. Tour was 3 1/2 hrs. The walk is scenic. Well serviced by transit. The hotel location is great, being five minutes from Rue St. Joseph (on either side of Couronee St) where there are restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Thai/Vietnamese restaurant across the street was fantastic. Restaurant Saigon Bangkok - was very reasonable for all the food served (special included soup, appetizer, entre, desert and tea $20.00). It was always full with local residents. Make reservations and bring your own wine.

Very impressed price is right if you don't factor in parking. Staff was amazing and Ms. Alexandra was very helpful with helping me plan activities including the Great Les Galeries d Capitale a mall with ice skating, roller coasters and bumper cars. She also advised me on Montmorency Falls. She also mapped me out a nice jog in and around the old city. There is a minimart 1/2 block away!

This hotel has the nicest bunch of employees I have met in a long time, they went above and beyond. The location is great with lots of restaurants and small shops, I loved the cobble stone streets. If you stay here you have to include breakfast, I give it a 10 for the food and placements on our plates. I will choose this hotel again.

The value, service and the room of the Best Wester Plus City Centre in Quebec City is very good. I would like to try best western again, there is only one thing make us unhappy: we were offered free breakfast at the booking, later we were charged the breakfast ( we didn't check our bill during check out)

We stayed for 1 night on a Saturday. It's an old property that has been renovated but I'm not sure how recently (still had older tub in the bathroom). The beds were comfortable, the building was very quiet from a noise perspective. Parking is at unpaved lots around the hotel, self park, reasonable enough at $20. Area seems a bit sketchy but it was fine when we walked back from the old town later in the evening. We didn't have the included breakfast but it was to be ordered from a menu and not a buffet. I'm not sure if this was due to covid protocols. I would stay again if looking for an affordable option.

We booked this hotel for two nights. Please advise your guests in advance If you have planned maintenance or construction at site. The adjacent one way roads to hotel were closed so I had to leave my family with kids in the car a little far from hotel and walked to the hotel. Main door was closed and there was no clear sign or staff available to direct guests to use side emergency door. Reception check in floor was wet and I almost slipped and fell, the other guests standing at the reception mentioned the same to staff but they ignored it. The parking fee is $27 per night but there is no indoor parking, hotel is using adjacent lots and unfortunately there was no help or security guard available to guide guests where to park when one parking lot is full. I can understand the property is old but hotel can refresh hotel rooms. Bed rooms had this unpleasant smell that we smelled every time we came in the room. No showers in the swimming room. However Breakfast choices were excellent and restaurant servers and staff provided excellent service to my family on both days. We enjoyed the breakfast on both days.

Exterior of the hotel is undergoing major renovations which results in construction type noise starting every morning. Our room (business 2 queen beds) was dirty, dust everywhere, the carpet hasn't been vacuumed after previous guests. Terrible bad smell in the room because of dirty soiled carpets and drapery. Old worn-out pillows, dust and dirt under the bed. All the interior of the hotel, lobby, tiny elevators, hallways and especially guest room requires immediate renovation because of smell and dirt. Poor breakfast food quality, very very limited breafast choices, breakfast service was slow, expect to spend almost 2 hours for breakfast if you arrive around 9:00am. The "valet parking" is really just overpriced self-park service. Avoid the hotel provided parking and park your park in the nearby parking garage, you will save lots of money. In my opinion the quality of the services provided by this hotel would equal to 2-star motel considering the ugly lobby, dirty smelly guest room and poor breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Quebec city. The rooms were clean, beds were as advertised and the staff were always quick to tend to our requests The hotel is in a good location if you do not want to stay in Old Quebec. Many restaurantsin the area. . There is a hotel parking lot behind the hotel. The front entrance alloweed for quick access to unloading of luggage. The hotel is a $9-13 Uber/cab ride to the Chateau Frontenac in Old Quebec. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

The check-in staff was very kind and personable, but I was disappointed with the TV English channel offerings at night, when relaxing in the room. Travelling with a 10 year old, I would have liked to choose a good movie to unwind with her, but there was no movie channels to choose from. For the hotel price, that was disappointing.

This hotel is having an exterior renovation when we arrived in August, I would expect there will be some kind of email communication to notify me after I booked the hotel, but unfortunately not. The main door was closed due to the reno and we have to go thru a side door. There was another building opposite the hotel was under construction as well, so that place was busy. There are parking close by the hotel but it's on a gravel and no parking lines, so be aware. Parking will costs you $20 per day with unlimited in-and-out, not too bad if you plan to go out, but if you are not, you can always park at the underground parking just beside the hotel which will be more safe and not being too hot. Overall, the hotel room was okay and roomy, but there will be some noise in the morning due to the construction. I also think the price should be lower due to these short coming.

First hotel room was dirty, the bathroom was filthy and the beds were made with dirty sheets. When we first noticed the bathroom was dirty we asked for someone to come up and clean it while we were out but no one did. We were moved to another room which appeared clean but medical waste was found under the sheets in the bed. I would not recommend this place.

Great distance from all attractions. 5 minute car ride or 15 minute walk. Near hotel were restaurants, convenience shops, coffee places. Hotel had an indoor pool that was a fair size, was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful Ample parking $20 a day restaurant was open only for breakfast but food quality very good, it was abundant, well presented. Beds were super comfy Will stay again for sure.

I want to state a complain about a waitress and a waiter who work at this hotel's cafe . I was there this morning and waited almost 20 minutes to be seated and then after 20 minutes I sat and the waitress who came to get my order spoke only french she didn't understand english at all , it was very hard to communicate and I asked the other server who could speak english to get my order and she said she will help me in 3 mins . She served almost everybody in the cafe (she even did coffee refills for the one who were served longer time before me and almost finished their meal but she totally ignored me I waited almost another 20 minutes to be served and for her to come get my order. when I asked her if she will come to get my order or I should leave , in the most disrespecting manner she responded “ as you wish , you can leave !” And pointed at the exit door and rolled her eyes at me and another waiter who was standing next to her took her back instead of helping me . . I found this unexpectedly disrespecting and inappropriate for a five star hotel at one of the most touristic places like Quebec city in Canada . I wanted to state a complain to the hotel's manager but for some reason he didnt want to show up and the receptionist told me Its not Hotels responsibility that waitress behaved like that and whatever they do in cafe is none of their business basically. Also I asked them to clean my room but nobody did , This hotel has limited numbers of parkings for visitors and they ask you to park in a public parking which is very time consuming to find it when you are not familiar with the city I don't recommend this hotel at all

It was my first time visiting Quebec City as well as first time staying at Best Western Hotel, my overall state was satisfactory although the hotel was doing exterior renovations it did not impede any off the guest. Big kudos to the reception stuff who are very friendly and knowledgeable and are there too make sure you're happy. My only recommendation and the reason why I'm choosing 4/5 is that the room did not have microwave specially as I was travelling with little kids and I needed it for heating milk. I did use the reception microwave very graceful for help when you need it. Overall the hotel is well-maintained has wifi did try the pool on my first day but didn't like it was a bit too small and too shallow for my enjoyment, it is indoors for those planning to visit. The hotel itself is located downtown Quebec which is approximately 10 to 20 minutes walk to the Old City, the area is not the best neither the worst there are a lot of restaurants in the vicinity as well as a quick convenience store around the corner. I did took the option for the breakfast which was well received and no complaints from the family good options and choices for breakfas (table service no buffet), for parking you do have to pay for it which it was included.

We decided to come back to this hotel, since we had such a great experience two years ago. We weren't disappointed! We had a great executive room (it was upgraded at no extra charge), spacious, with a huge bed. Although because the Covid regulations there were no daily cleaning services, we were provided fresh towels upon request and we had the room cleaned once (de requested the service as we were going out). The only negative about the room was the fridge... It was more like a freezer - it froze anything (fruits, etc) we put in it. They are not offering the buffet breakfast, but the menu has several choices and they are all good. We noticed that the wait line tended to be longer between 9-10 am, so we took our breakfast earlier. You have the choice to order it from the room, but you will have to come to the restaurant to pick it up when ready. The hotel has an indoor pool on the first floor, small but nice. Great murals of Quebec sites make the place very pleasant. The hotel is pet friendly, we noticed more pets than during our previous trip. They were all very well behaved. We brought our own dachshund with us, he throughly enjoyed the experience! The staff is very nice and helpful. We booked our room via email, and the person handling our reservation was extremely helpful and accommodating, so we decided to extend our stay. Overall, a highly recommended choice!

Nice hotel clean , friendly staff . Rooms are spacious, walking distance to the old port. Rooms are large well stocked with towels shampoo and other items . Coffee pot in the room . They have a cafe for breakfast at an additional charge . Very nice place to stay

At 6:00pm we tried to check into our hotel room that was supposed to be ready for 3:30pm. We were told it wasn't ready yet. After travelling all day, we just wanted to check in to the room and at least drop off our luggage. We were told they didn't know when it would be ready and we should go have dinner and then come back and it may be ready. We had to bring all our luggage back to our car - there was no offer to store it or leave it in the hotel. Room was then ready at 6:45. A very frustrating start to the stay at the hotel.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Best Western in Quebec city. We found a bug in our bed on the second day and when we complained about it the manager of the front desk actually asked me if I was actually upset about waking up with a bug in the bed. They gave us free parking (value of 46$) and not to mention the parking spaces were extremely small and I even had to call the front desk one night because there was none available. All in all, I will never return to this chain. Some of the employees were great but the manager was awful and a smart ass.

Recent trip with family & the dog. Great restaurants and cafe with an easy walk to old Quebec. We will stay there again. Even with the exterior renovation it was fine. Gravel lots unsecured, parking should be included.

This was the best hotel deal we could find with 2 queen beds in the downtown Quebec City area. The staff, especially Pierre-Luc, were attentive and very friendly. As of Wednesday July 14th, 2021 this hotel allowed for up to 26 people in the swimming pool at a time rather than having to sign up for 30 minute time slots to use the pool. Bravo! The hallway floors on the 2nd floor where our room was were not vacuumed and you could see clumps of crumbs and bottle caps on the carpeting. Rooms were spacious and the hotel was in a convenient location where you could walk to the touristy part of Old Quebec in just over 30 minutes with young kids. The exterior of the hotel was being renovated but did not disturb us. Lots of road construction in the area. If you want cheap indoor underground parking we find a place within 60 seconds walk from the hotel at 31 Rue Dorchester, Québec, QC G1K 8P8 for $10/night! We stayed Monday to Thursday and paid $30!!!!

Used to be quite good, but Covid seems to be a really good excuse not to offer any service anymore. Look at the "cleaning" of the room to understand what you will pay for... When ask what they could do to help, they refuse to pay for a 12$ breakfast. Will not be staying in this "buget" hotel anymore.

I just love this hotel, it's very nice, the room is very confortable and the staff is amazing. I always love my stay everytime I'm there. Location is great for me, room are recent, bed is confortable and everyone is helpful.

Well located hotel in Quebec City, walking distance from major upper and lower town tourist sites. Room was in decent shape, liked the desk and separate table with a couple of extra chairs. Some cleanliness issues with toilet and bathtub. Good precautions taken with the pandemic. No free breakfast, which is supposed to be a brand standard for Best Western Plus per the Best Western web site.

Stayed here during our relocation trip to Toronto to Newfoundland and had an overnight after 9hrs driving. The hotel was located downtown Quebec, on a very sketchy area but it was close to everything. Due to the pandemic we were very limited to what we could do and see but we did find a nice steak house walking distance (suggested by the front desk) and had a delicious dinner, then we went for a stroll to the old quarters but quickly turned back as we saw large crowds everywhere and no one wearing masks or saving their distance. The hotel is pet friendly so we brought our pet with us and she and us had a goodnight sleep before continuing on our trip to Newfoundland. Breakfast was provided and was very good, you could choose from a selection of pre maid sandwiches or pastries and coffee, orange juice , etc with a fruit. The staff was very helpful and our beds were comfortable. If you look past the sketchy area, its a good hotel .

Since we arrived at the hotel, check-in was quite fast; I am part of the Best Westerns Rewards program and immediately we had a room upgrade on the executive floor and a welcome gift. The room was spacious enough for my family (2 adults 1 child) and we liked it very much. My son is happy when there is a bathtub in the room. Its amenities are good and we have a coffee maker, a fast enough internet service and very comfortable beds and a clean room. We lacked the ability to use the pool which looked great, but it didn't give us time; We were on vacation and the city offers many beautiful and interesting things.

The hotel was clean, our room was on the first floor, upgraded, spacious, and it was conveniently located (5 minutes from videotron centre). the staff was accommodating and helpful, i would stay there again even for personal getaway.

Location is great but the hotel is not clean and verry expensive for parking and breakfast. Many hotel at the same price but way nicer such as Pur hotel Quebec. The staff is nice but would not recommand if your looking for luxurious hotel

What a wonderful hotel. The staff were excellent. Everything from start to finish was perfect! We spent time at both the lounge and restaurant . Both we excellent and the staff made them that way. We will be back! In the summer!

Stayed 3 nights on vacation in Quebec City. The room we had was not expensive, very nice sized and very comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We didn't use the pool as we were quite busy with the restaurants and many gorgeous places to visit and wander through. It looked quite pleasant. The whole building has been nicely remodelled. The facilities and restaurants are in excellent condition. Our room appeared to be newly decorated. About the only thing I could say to improve would be that the robe provided was far too small for me. I am tall and I would be willing to bet the staff would have tried to find one but I didn't bother too much with it. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend around the Holiday. Although we hoped to stay in Old Quebec, the prices were very high because of all the festivities so we opted for this hotel. It worked out perfectly. Old Quebec and restaurants were still within walking distance and you are right next to the Plains of Abraham. The hotel offers a garage (pay each time you enter/exit) and valet but we were able to find metered street parking directly outside the hotel on all 3 nights. The lobby was beautiful and the room was clean, although the beds are small (they were doubles and with 2 teens this gets a little crowded). We were so busy we never took advantage of the pool but we did take a peek and it looked clean as well, although not that large it was was slightly busy at the time we stopped by. There was a Starbucks directly across the street which was convenient for a quick bite, coffee or if you have teens that are early risers and want to take a run over (like us). They are young teens but the area was also very safe and even had a school bus stop at the corner. Quebec was stunning for the Holiday and we will likely return next year. If staying in Old Quebec isn't a possibility we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus for one night while driving through the province. We had our large dog with us, and the hotel was extremely welcoming for our dog. They provided us with a pamphlet showing the green spaces around the hotel, as well as the nearest vets. They also provided a sign for our door to inform the cleaning staff there was a dog in the room, and to please not enter. If you've ever traveled with pets, you know it can be hard to find a pet-friendly hotel. This was a very easy experience, and the staff were very courteous. Clean rooms, and a good restaurant in the hotel. Would stay here again!

The worst hotel experience ever! DO NOT RECOMMEND! I will never stay in any Best Western Plus EVER I stayed at this hotel from 12/22-12/26 in 331. The guest service at this hotel has no standard at all and was horrible. The room was DISGUSTING! The first night , I found there was a used shower cap in the dryer bag. In a holiday mood, I decided to let it go. But my friend was already telling me the room wasn't clean. The second night, I found there was a hair doesn't belong to me in my bed, given they don't change sheets in the second night, I figured that the bed wasn't clean since the first night. THAT WAS DISGUSTING! I called immediately to the front desk on the third morning and they say they are going to change the sheet for me. On the XMAS night, after I came back to the hotel, I really lost myself after seeing the bed sheet wasn't changed, the room wasn't cleaned, what the housekeeper did was just dry the bathroom floor, made the bed as is, and give us bathroom amenities. I called the front desk and with the agent's terrible English, I really had to yelled at him. The sent 2 girls up to fix everything. But this hotel had ruined our Xmas eve. They even stated that they don't have any managers or supervisors to talk to us and hear out feedback. After these complaints, they finally cleaned the room right on the last night. But then when it comes to service. The first night I called them asked for slippers, the agent said the hotel doesn't have one. The second and third night my friend called them asking for bottle water, the first time they said, the water in the washroom is drinkable, until she insist on the bottle water, they finally delivered it to us. The final night, I called to ask for the very same water, the agent said there is a vending machine, you can go buy one yourself. Really done with this horrible place, I just went outside to buy my own water. GOOD JOB BEST WESTERN PLUS ON RUINING OUR XMAS HOLIDAY! everyone who see this post, don't stay with them!

Very standard North American hotel comfortable and fairly clean. Felt a bit stingy because almost everything was costing extra, like obtaining a microwave, overpriced parking, high-speed internet. Soundproofing better than average but not ideal (footsteps audible but very little noise from street). Some of the night-staff were not very well trained. Pool and gym only open during daytime hours.

The breakfast and the rooms are excellent even the employees know their jobs. Thank you very much to the front desk employees, to the cleaners and all the servers. You do not need to call the cab from your room if you need one because the hotel will call one for you right away when they see you waiting in the lobby

I have a long history of staying in all kinds of hotels and this is one of the cleanliness i have ever seen. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was above our expectation. A surprisingly good experience!

Excellent hotel, friendly and caring staff. Rooms and general halls are very clean and well taken care of. Location is superb and close to major attractions in Quebec city. If you travel by train it is very close to VIA Rail Gare du Palais and takes 15-20 mins to walk. Thanks for a nice stay and i will stay here again soon!

Arrived at this hotel Friday Nov 15th for an Anniversary weekend celebration. Great checkin. Perfectly bilingula staff.. Furst room we got was so small and as we were staying for 3 days I asked to change.. Got a really nice big room after but facing the atrium ie restaurant downstairs and no window.Was weird at first but very dark and quiet.The problem the first night was I could not lower the temperatur in the room. This hotel sets it at 19 and then u can go up but not down. Never had this in all my many years of travels(lots)I got a fan on SAturday so that really helped.. Thanks you Jean Pierre Gagne.. I could now sleep. Amazing buffet breakfast that was included.. if u book direct with hotel and for not much more. The statff are amazing Buffet had everything u could imagine.. Booked at this BW for two nights, the building is somewhat old but it obviously has been renovated and is very well maintained. The room was large ans the beds were very comfortable as expected at a BW Plus facility

Nice and big room. Very comfortable and clean. Service was good, but the check-in service was a bit careless but nothing that ruined our experience. The distance from the hotel to vieux-Québec is something to consider if you like to do everything by foot. We did a lot of walking and it was not a problem, but with temperatures falling, buses also came in hand and were easy to navigate. The neighborhood offers incredible restaurants and nice stores.

If you like to walk as your primary source of transportation, Best Western Plus is for you! It is situated at a location perfect for walking to and from Gare du Palais (Via Rail station) and also Old Quebec! We will certainly go back next time.

We stayed here for one night for night 2 of a power outage at our place in this city. We slept well. Heating and cooling in room worked well.The inroom coffee was excellent and better than in many business hotels at double or more the price. Small vanity in bathroom and soap dish in shower poorly placed. However shower was hot and pressure good. As we booked directly with the hotel the breakfast was free. It was served in a comfortable restaurant. The buffet was what I see for an extra price in many upscale hotels.

My best Best Western Plus Hotel experience of all the Best Western and Best Western Plus hotels i have stayed in over years. The suit I stayed was impeccably perfect with the décor, arrangement and overall experience in the room was excellent. I cannot even begin to tell you about the breakfast experience....the food was excellent, the staff were very professional and the food choices was amazing. The staff at the check in desk was supper friendly and helpful. You really have to stay at this hotel to experience it

Stayed overnight at the Best Western and it was a very nice room. Really clean. Location was good for bus tours and for restaurants. Was able to leave our luggage before our room was ready and after check-out as our plane trip was in the afternoon and we were able to tour Quebec City without our luggage!!!!

I stayed at the Best Western this past September. I was in an Executive King Room and was very happy with the room and hotel service. My room was spacious, very clean with a lovely rain shower. I feel it is too far to walk to the Old Town as it is all uphill; but that should not stop anyone from staying here. I used the public transportation with no problem for getting around. In addition, so many excellent rastaurants are within walking distance. I recommend.

All was great and only one problem arose with valet parking that staff quickly resolved. Great service! Neighborhood area was great! all in all, our stay was great! We would stay at this BW Plus Hotel in QC again!

The room we stayed in was really spacious, looked recently renovated. Staff was friendly. The hotel is not located inside old Quebec, but the public transportation can take you anywhere and there are many bus stops nearby. Definitely recommend the hotel!

My parents and I stayed at the Best Western Plus for my Mother's birthday. They made our stay very special and memorable. We stayed for 2 nights. We had a very nice trip and the hotel was very nice and clean.

This hotel is such a gem. It is clean and fairly well located in terms of distance to attractions, restaurants and shopping areas. Old town is 15-30 min walk along shopping areas. Room given was spacious and well supplemented with toiletries. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The only thing i could probably nit pick was the fact that our room was for some reason scheduled to be cleaned around 3-4pm, around time where the family was back to hotel after a tiring day of sight seeing. So i suggest, calling front desk as soon as you leave hotel that way when you come back, u can relax in an uncluttered room. Would definitely stay again and most definitely will recommend.

This Hotel is under rated, super clean and just a 12 minute walk from the Via Rail station. Walking distance to many places to eat and close to main city area attractions. My wife and I went to Quebec City for our 20th Anniversary from October 1 to 5. Really enjoyed the clean room. Bangkok Thai food across the road was fantastic. Wi Fi service was super fast too. Buffet Breakfast down stairs was awesome but Pricy. Only down fall was NO movie channel on TV for free to kill a couple of hours before bed time, have to pay to get movies. Would highly recommend booking a room here instead of the older over priced hotels! Highly Recommend this "Best Western Plus"

We were two couples staying 3 nights in Quebec...first time here. The hotel went above and beyond our expectations! Great food, incredibly service-oriented and friendly staff that goes above and beyond! Hotel's location was great for us..about a 30 min walk to old-town. We Uber'd one time...$9 CD one way. Food in restaurant was great. Nice breakfast buffet (not included in room rate). I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this perfectly located hotel once again. This is our go to hotel in Quebec City. Perfectly located walking distance from the Old Quebec, this hotel is very cozy, comfortable and worth the price. Parking however is expensive, located across the street in a parking garage, it is over $15 a day. Nevertheless, we will continue coming here as service is wonderful!

Best Western will be my preferred choice for places to stay. The rooms are clean and the beds are excellent. Service is friendly and it helps that the internet connection is solid. The larger cities offer multiple locations which is helpful.

Great stay and a decent location with restaurants, bars and shopping only steps away. But you are NOT in Old Quebec City NOTE: this location is not nearby all the tourist/sightseeing locations but is generally close and very walkable but it is an uphill climb to those locations. Parking of $27.00, valet only. Hotel is close to the interstate, Easy on and off. The staff here are very friendly, courteous and professional. Hotel accommodations include a full scale restaurant and bar. Their breakfast buffet has a large selection and an assortment of expected breakfast items including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, crepes. Our room accommodation was good. Large room for the single king bed option with plenty of space for a couple to easily move around. Our room faced the atrium and there was no noise issue. Plenty of charging outlets for you electronic devices strategically placed close by. The bed was a bit lumpy but comfortable and pillows were comfortable as well. The AC unit worked flawlessly and was very quiet. Upon entry the room had a trace smell of fragrance that dissipated later that day.

This hotel is reasonably priced and about a 15 - 20 minute walk to the old part of Quebec City. The hotel has some bigger rooms and was very clean, well run with an excellent breakfast buffet. Their Bell Hops were outstanding. Their cafe is open at night and we had a delicious meals. The staff in at both the evening meal and at breakfast the next day were very attentive. For dietary needs they have gluten free bread/items.

They were very helpful. We arrived later in the evening and asked for a recommendation of a restaurant nearby. There was one across the street which was very good. It was an Asian restaurant. The rooms are very nice and clean. Nice amenities (coffee/tea) in addition to usual toiletries. The help was friendly! I would definitely stay there again and recommend this place to others going to this area.

-quick professional check-in -Booking on website, we were able to get the superb breakfast buffet included. -room was smaller than we anticipated but it was clean -free wi-fi -great location (although we took uber to Old Quebec - about $10) -great value (saved more than $100 here rather than staying in Old Quebec) -kudos to the restaurant personnel. We have travelled the world but have never been served by such personable, pleasant, helpful restaurant servers!!! - They could train others! -Tip- Monitor prices.(From first time that we booked, the price went down $100 for 2 nights so we re-booked at the lower rate, of course) -VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Hotel staff spoke English/French which was appreciated. We took red eye plane and arrived at the hotel around 10am and checkin was not until 3:30. They found us a room so we could get some rest right away. Bonus points for that. Wifi was great. Room was immaculately clean. No smell. Nice decor and lots of pillows. Bed was comfy. The only thing I didn't like was the tub/shower and sink and toilet are all in the same room. I prefer the sink to be outside so others can be using while someone showers. Nice to have Kuerig in room with coffee, decaf and tea pods. Fridge was a bonus. We were right beside elevator and I found it very noisy listening to the doors open and close constantly. ATM machine in lobby. All of our key fobs didn't work and the bell hop took them down to desk to get new ones. Bell hops grab your luggage at street and take to your room. I'm assuming tip required. So if you don't have tip money just say you'll handle your own. Checkout was a little slow having to reverse the preauthorized credit card and then recharging the credit card. We had a cab waiting so I wished I had requested express checkout. We paid $15 cab from hotel to cruise ship port. And it was a flat rate $35 from airport to this hotel by cab. Uber wasn't much cheaper.

This hotel is just steps away from great restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and the hop on hop off tour bus. The valet parking fellas are exceptional, very helpful . There us a cafe and decent restaurant on site. The room was a decent size, a little dated in parts, the beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping was ok, there are a couple of things that need tweaking. ( We filled out the request card but it was overlooked) but when I told my requests to the front desk, they were very accommodating. Overall I would stay here again.

Family reunion 2019 - Quebecois revisited - Three days in Quebec - a little taste of Europe north of the border!! If you haven't experienced Quebec - you don't know what you're missing!! It's a little bit of Europe that's only an afternoon's drive away!!

The hotel is well located. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. The bed is comfy as well. There is a restaurant directly next to the hotel with offers quality food. Parking valet is on the other hand quite expensive (27$ + taxes). There are a lot of public parking near the hotel who cheaper.

Okay hotel- rooms were nice but need some TLC. The toilet ran the whole time we were there, even though we asked for maintenance to fix it twice. There was a barking dog in the room next to ours, who barked whenever anyone opened a door in our hallway but was otherwise quiet. The cafe on site was nice for a cup of tea but other hotels offer that for free in the evenings. We didn't get much info upon check in and I had to check my reservation to see if the hotel had a pool (it did), The biggest issue was parking. I understood when booking that it cost $27 per day, what I didn't expect was another $5 per day in taxes on top of the fee. It should be inclusive of taxes. My three night stay was estimated at $750 with parking but came out closer to $950 after taxes were applied. The good thing about the hotel was the friendly staff and valets. It was also close to a hop on/hop off tour and that made it easy to get into the Old Quebec part of town.

Other than the very jammed lobby area, which completely contradicts the large rooms, beautiful pool, and restaurant areas, I love everything about this hotel. Staff were super friendly, from the porters to the front desk. But that cramped entry is just absurd. There is a sitting area, wheelchair ramp, staircase to restaurant below, front desk, and business centre in a couple of hundred square feet. Ridiculous. At check-in, it is pandemonium. And, yet, I loved the huge, modern rooms, bathrooms, t.v., and comfy beds. Staff can converse in english, something not guarantted Quebec City and east. The two restaurants are stylish, although breakfast was not beloved by our group at Le 330 Bistro. The Cafe In was outstanding. Superb coffee, sandwiches, and baked goods, all at very reasonable prices...plus 10% discount for hotel guests. But the barista/staff member was unbelievably slow. Really, really slow. Maybe he was training, but it was unacceptable. The best part is the location of the hotel. This area is clearly gentrifying. Look beyond the numerous street people, and you will see the funky/sheik places starting to emerge. In three years, this location will be fantastic. I like a bit of grit, so places like Le Bureau de Post are very enjoyable to me. And I only scratched the surface. I definitely will be back.

We were here with a group on a bus tour. They looked after us very well. Transferred our luggage to the room very quickly. I only used the restaurant for breakfast but it was excellent (although expensive). I wish I would have more time here as it is well situated for touring historic Quebec City.

We absolutely loved our stay the room was huge the view was great the restaurant food was delicious. This was our second time staying here and like the first time the service and comfort was exactly what we needed.

We've stayed before at this hotel and due to the location in a interesting neighbourhood with restaurants around and a walkable distance to the Old Quebec area, we chose it a second time. My only request when I booked 2 months ahead was to have a room on the upper floor with an outside view (some rooms have an internal view on a corridor). I called two times at the hotel to make sure about it, I was told they would do their best to meet my request. We finally end up on the first floor (room 115) with an outside view ...on the street corner. No need to say the curtains had to be closed all the time, because the whole street would have a direct sight in our room. The room was also to small for a family of 4. It too bad because the staff at this hotel is very nice and helpful and the location is great.

There were no vacancies in the area we wanted to stay. BW was our only real option. For $500 a night (includes valet parking), I would have expected much better! The hotel is dated. Pillows need replacing. The service was excellent.

Clean, quiet building. Great value. TERRIFIC staff. Friendly, responsive. Francophones who speak English well and aim to please -- and succeeded. Appropriate recommendations for restaurants etc at all hours. Shout-out to Alex at reception & Jade at the cafe (which served as an office for me over 2 long days as I just had to make a deadline).

The hotel is far from old Québec and there is construction going on so it's messy and loud. The room is dated, has a dirty carpet and smells. The queen beds are in the small side but comfortable. The concierge were helpful but I don't feel they knew the city like most concierge. Most of the recommendations were for just okay places. If I want to know one of the best restaurants they should know Giddy's but they didn't. The restaurant is horrible, the woman bartender (blonde/gray hair) is nasty. She kept us from enjoying the bar and restaurant. My husband and I likely would have spent a couple nights having a cocktail there but because of her we did not. Others probably felt the same because no one was where there. The cafe was nice and had good coffee

Stayed here a couple nights ago. We have stayed at many Best Western's in both Canada and USA. Check in staff were excellent. Very helpful with info on getting around. Our room was on the 5th floor....view of the side of another building. It also had a cleaning smell that was a little unpleasant. Wifi was good. Disappointed that there was no breakfast included ( especially for the price they charged ) as most BW we have stayed at include a very nice breakfast and usually for less. The hotel is about a 20 minutes walk( mostly uphill ) to get to old Quebec...don't miss it...parking here is at a premium $26 over the cost of the hotel.

Great place to stay. Stayed three nights in July 2019. Staff very accommodating. Especially Christian at front desk. Valet service was appreciated. Within walking distance of old downtown and many restaurants.

They asked 30$ for parking, we declined and parked in public place, where we had a penalty of 53$. Small pool, clean rooms, very dark though, light might be more. Room service and restaurant was not working after 12.00 am which was bad. They offered a pizzeria to order a pizza, which was terrible.

Excellent check-in from Janie - request for a non smoking, no pet, king bed, high floor room was met and we also got some water and chips for being Best Western members. Thanks. Nice clean, large room with fridge and security safe. Large TV and comfortable bed. Clean bathroom with lots of toiletries including a shoe mitt. No breakfast provided. Good location about 20 minute walk to the town gates but restaurants close by. Valet parking was $27.00 and was efficient – a fair price for city parking. Indoor swimming pool but no whirlpool tub. Overall, excellent value considering the hotel is in a large city and it is July.

Stayed here with my big family for only just an affordable price. The room was big and clean. We loved it! The service was good too. They have a swimming pool kids and those who enjoy swimming can go to. And they have buffet service . Definately gonna stay here again with family when we cisit Quebec again.

Pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. Old Quebec is about 20 minutes away by foot. It's a steep hill but it's so pleasant to walk there, we didn't mind at all. Everything was great, our only complaint would be the TV which is very slow in reacting to the remote's commands, but we were not there to watch TV! Overall, great stay.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel, and I can say wholeheartedly that we enjoyed the experience. The staff was very courteous, we received valet parking, and everything was taking care of smoothly from beginning till end of our stay. A special thank you to Alex Vezina, who took great care of all our needs! We got a good sized room with two king beds, and a very spacious bathroom. We enjoyed the included breakfast buffet, with great selections of food and fruits. The hotel is situated in a good location, walking distance to all the main attractions. We were able to stroll on the lovely streets of Vieux Quebec until late at night, and come back to the hotel feeling safe at all time. I definitely recomend this place for an enjoyable stay in the beautiful city of Quebec.

We stayed there for 3 nights. We have no complaints. Staff were great, facilities were great. We recieved the breakfast included option. Big buffet, I was able to eat something different each morning. Would definitely stay there again. When we first arrived our a/c was not working, they immediately moved us to a different room. Also it is dog friendly!

Poor staff attitude from the start. Then gave us poor room on ground floor visible from the street. All hotels in Canada we have been to, offer free water in lobby and the room - but not this one. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and professional this hotel was. Room was clean and much bigger than I expected. The restaurant was quiet and the food was great. I would absolutely stay again!

We were on a bus tour that selected this hotel. The breakfast was the best we have ever had, especially for a buffet. There were a couple of issues that were frustrating after an all day trip but probably most people would not experience the issues we did. Because it was the start of the summer season, we had to deal with recently trained people. We were joining the bus tour in Quebec City and our guide had said she would leave our room key at the front desk. The person on the front desk had no idea what we were talking about (she did speak English so it wasn't a language problem). Fortunately, someone else overheard our frustration and produced our key. We got to our room which was large and well laid out but when I went to open the closet door, the door of the safe (which was open) swung out and hit me on the head - a nuisance when trying to use the closet. We had a message on our phone but no instructions on how to retrieve it. As we were expecting to hear from our guide, it was important to get the message. There were no instructions on how to retrieve the message. After 3 attempts to get help from the front desk we gave up We sent an email to our travel agent, who was on the trip, but not the guide, who gave us instructions as to when to put out our suitcases into the hall the next morning and when to go to breakfast - all very N.B. and necesary to know. It wasn't the easiest hotel to find on one way streets and with a sign only at the top of the building but once we found it our experience was fantastic! Very helpful, friendly staff made our check-in swift and pleasant. The room was lovely with nothing forgotten and very clean and comfortable also the quietest hotel room I think I've ever stayed in! There is a great restaurant in the lower floor with an open ceiling to the top with an excellent buffet breakfast we had the next morning. Again, very good service, friendly staff and more than you could ever want to eat! The location was in the newer part of town but a quick walk to the old city via an elevator and then a not too distant walk to all the shops and restaurants and toward the even older city and waterfront. My husband walked to the Citadel the next morning in just 15 minutes and the drive there later was very easy and direct. Only staying there for one night I might have picked a hotel a bit closer to the old city but it certainly wasn't overly cumbersome despite some steep hills and cobblestone streets. A delightful stay overall and a very comfortable night to sleep and rest after a long drive from Southern Ontario. I would highly recommend this hotel and the city as a whole.

I was unable to amend my previous review so I deleted it and am writing a new one. My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the BW Plus City Centre. The staff was wonderful, very polite & helpful, very attentive. The hotel was in great shape, the breakfasts marvelous (the breakfast staff were also fantastic. My only previous concern was some minor damage to my car by the parking valets. The hotel manager contacted me and was very kind and helpful and we settled this matter to my complete satisfaction. This was the only deficit I reported on before and it is no linger an issue. I am completely satisfied with this wonderful facility, it's staff and the overall experience. I would love to return there for a longer stay in the future.

We are couple who stayed for 10 days in the hotel. The stay was overall satisfactory but we had a terrible experience with the billing. There made 2 blunders with billing. First one is they overcharged us $280 on the overall invoice. Second one is they billed us thrice instead of billing us once during the check out. I called them up 4 times to resolve the issue which isnt resolved till now irrespective of explaining the issue to several people in the reception and the Manager. The receptionists are rude and not ready to take any feedback. They expect us to call them back again to followup to see that the issue is resolved. This has been the most horrible experience I had ever with any hotel till date. I would plead everyone to check my review and not go ahead with this hotel stay.

I tried to book a room a night before a long weekend. Luckily I found a room here.hotel is nice with spacious room size clean and tidy, approachable to Centerville by half an hour walk. Surrounded by few good restaurants.A Valet parking is available 24 hour on a reasonable rates.room service is also available 24 hour also but food charges are little higher than expected.location is not bad if you find a room on cheaper rate compare to other hotels in this area.

We stayed here June 16-18 with our dog on the last leg of our East coast trip. Located in Saint Roch, it is very central with valet parking, walking distance to restaurants and bars and close to Old Quebec. The room was spacious and clean and they gave us dog treats and bags for our pooch. We could not have been happier with our stay in this pet-friendly hotel!

The hotel is located in an ideal area of Quebec City to be able to visit all the sights. As well as city attractions, it is also an easy drive from Montmorancy falls and Ile d'Orlean. Staff were delightful, and the breakfasts excellent. We had a drink in the coffee shop/ bar each evening, and it is a very comfortable and welcoming spot.

This was our first visit to best western in Quebec City and most likely our last. Upon entering our room we noticed an odour reminiscent of old dirty socks. We left the bathroom fan on and went out to eat. When we returned a few hours later , we were hit by the same smell but now it was much stronger. We asked for another room and explained why. The next room had the same smell but fainter. It too grew with time. My wife thinks it's from a cleaning product. Whatever it is was almost unbearable and made the stay very unpleasant. All other nearby hotels were booked up or we would have moved. On the plus side the location was excellent, the staff professional and helpful and the bed was a dream.

The rooms were good, there is no question about it. The night staff does not read the instruction posted by Best Western Reservation specialist and then acts rude to me, it wasn't a welcoming situation. Now coming to the Breakfast question. After I made my reservation i did call the front desk to inquire about it and they informed me that certain guests receive free breakfast and so i asked about Best Western Diamond member and they said Yes they too receive free breakfast. But at the time of Check in they told me a completed different story and did not provide me the free breakfast option. This Best Western does not treat Diamond members properly. I also want to know who are those members who receive FREE BREAKFAST. I do see some reviews where people have got free breakfast. WIll never stay at this property again.

Highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff at the hotel are very friendly. Hotel is a short walk to old Quebec city, restaurants, attractions and shops. Will definitely stay at best western again!

Fairly good location (still a fairly long walk to the old city). Beautiful room, great breakfast, very helpful staff overall, but car was damaged by valet parking and the valet staff were not helpful about it asking if I was sure the dent wasn't already there (when leaving the car I asked them to be careful as the car had NO DAMAGE when they got it.

We only stayed one night. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed with a dog which was an additional $15 fee which wasn't bad considering what other hotels were charging. I think because of the dog they gave us a room on the main level which was convenient to take the dog out. Generally I wouldn't like this because of noise from people going by the windows outside but it was fine. They only have valet parking with unlimited in and out access which was an additional $27. I booked through Hotwire and the pictures showed a hot tub but there was only a pool. Lots of things to do and eat within walking distance.

Front desk people were terrific and worked hard to be accommodating and helpful. They spoke English with willingness both articulately and without being condescending.The room also was awesome and spacious and beds were actually full size queen instead of large double beds. There is no parking unless you pay for valet parking or find parking away from the hotel. I found this to be frustrating.

Each time you walk in or out of the hotel, a staff member always says “hello or goodbye” to you. Room / facilities: Business room, level 4, room 407. King bed with 6 pillows. Rear street facing room with opening window. Safe, fridge, iron and board, flatscreen tv, chair and computer desk, Keurig coffee machine, in tub shower, 2 x bath robes. The window is able to be opened approx 10cm , which allowed us to not use air-conditioning and have natural air flow from the street, during our stay. Rooms are very clean. Management were extremely responsive to addressed guest noise concerns when raised. Wifi: Fast and complementary. password required every 24 hours. Breakfast: Buffet or menu meals are available at additional cost Conclusion: Great location with lots of eating areas and shops nearby. Room for improvement: - TV remote control buttons do not function 100%. Location / Nearby: Supermarket “Inter Marché” within 300m, Pubs and restaurants within 2 block radius. Old city is approx 2.5 km walk. Pharmacy - 100m to purchase bus tickets Getting to hotel: If arriving into the new Quebec International Airport (YQB), taxi is the most convenient and costs flat rate of $35.10 CAD + tip. Public transport by bus takes approx 1.5 hours, and requires 2 busses to get to the city.

Service in English was not a issue , all staff were very fluent in both languages , Close to all services , parking is a issue but for a 25$ fee a valet parks your vehicle and I had no complaints even though my truck is much larger than they are use to, and my pet was welcomed for a fee as per normal , but the most surprising was the price was very reasonable

We booked via third party site and stayed here for 4 nights. The rate was reasonable but didn't include parking fee which was $26 plus tax per night. It should be noted that the cost is quite reasonable given that parking in old Quebec area is non existence. It's valet service with unlimited access to your car, which is a nice option. We mostly walked everywhere as the hotel was centrally locates in the heart of St Roch and only a 15 min walk to the old Quebec area. The room was decent size and the bed was comfortable. They have a breakfast buffet option for additional charge, however we did opt out as we chose to eat at various cafes and bakeries in the area. The lady who checked us in and out, I believe her name is Nathalie, was fantastic. She was very friendly and suggested various places in the area to visit. She really made us feel welcomed and I really appreciated the time she takes with every customer. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I am not a foodie. If I could get all nutrient from a pill (a la Jetsons), I would. I imagine that there are those what would like some complex meal in the Table d'Hote fashion of three choices. Me, I wish hotels would offer peanut butter sandwiches. But, I'm really writing to complain about the stupid "InnVue" TV system that is attached to the Samsung TV in the room. Or maybe it's builtin, Samsung has some Tizen OS that apparently is horrible. I thought the batteries in the remote control were dead, but once I got it into TV mode they seemed to work. On the SmartTV system, the app is *SO INCREDIBLY SLOW* that it is unusable. No hotel is gonna get a penny in pay-per-vue out of me if I can't even push the buttons to see what's on. Apparently you can plug an HDMI in, I didn't bring one, so I don't know. My room is otherwise quite nice. The restaurant looks really cool too, but there is nothing on the menu I want to eat, so I went to the DEP next door and bought cookies and milk.

Executive room. Big, comfortable bed. Clean. Nicely furnished and decorated. Giant shower with rainfall shower rose. Otherwise unremarkable property. Walls paper thin - could hear every movement from adjoining rooms. Nice bistro with good breakfast. Great cafe that I think is the only spot in a North America that knows how to make a coffee. Ample eating options close by, and convenience stores/drug stores too. Bit of a (uphill) hike to the Old Town, but an interesting 30 minute walk/climb.

Pool area is very dangerous.. there are puddles of water all over the tile floors. I wiped out with my little girl and I am pregnant....!!!!!! Pool water is cold, and the air quality is very hot and the eyes burn from the chlorine in the air. The rooms were small too, also we seen pictures of renovated bathrooms,well.... we got a old garbage bathroom. The bathtub was hideous. I am giving a 2 star cause the girls at the front desk are very nice. It is actually a very far walk to old Quebec. We has to take our vehicle

All the hotel staff i encountered were nice, welcoming and always smiling. Hotel is located near a lot of restaurants and attraction in downtown. I suggest taking an executive room, the shower is simply amazing, you will not regret it.

The friendliest staff we ever met, the best price for the rooms and the free breakfast was amazing, they even have gluten free option, great selections of hot and cold, and lots of fruits. They were very helpful for directions, and the best way to get to our event.

Easy to miss. But easy to go round block on one way streets. Excellent valet parking. No need for car. Walk to old Quebec and it's downhill on the way back! Excellent concierge service. Small lobby. Good sized pool with adult hours. No hot tub. Comfy beds. Old windows. Good sized room with two queen beds and hidabed. Large bar fridge. Superb breakfast. We found that even with factoring in the valet parking this hotel was excellent value. Read about the St. Roch area.

Their website says they have breakfast included. See image. We called reception and confirmed it was included because it usually isn't when you book through Hotwire. They confirmed it was included. Next morning, after breakfast, they tell me its IMPOSSIBLE that someone made the mistake and that phone records don't show that I called. In other words they are Liars.

One of my favorite hotels! Great food in the restaurant. Staff is very friendly and professional. Rooms are clean and hotel is quiet. Valet parking available for $25.00 a day. They cleaned off the snow and left it running so the car would be warm!

This hotel is a great place to stay in order to be near everything in the old city and be in an area with lots of shopping and restaurants. Check out Bistro 330 in the hotel. Accommodations are very clean ,comfortable and quiet. The folks at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. The prices are very good

Decent hotel. Very close to the old city. Easy to walk to. Also easy to just hop on a bus and go. Lots of restaurants close by. Great for when it's snowing. They still stay open. Try Poutineville or the Mexican place nearby (Deli-mex). Bathroom could have a more powerful shower but it did the job. Very warm room, even though it was freezing outside! Loved the fact that you can go to the Uniprix opposite, buy a bus ticket or travelcard for the day and go. The 800 and 801 were very useful for all our trips. Would stay here again if I ever have a chance to come back.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in late January 2019. Location is good - about a 15 minute walk from the Old City. Lots of nice restaurants close to the hotel. We booked a room with deluxe linens and on the business floor - very clean and large room. Also highly recommend the room-breakfast package, if available, as it is a buffet with great selection including fresh fruit and many hot items. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great value - will definitely stay here again.

We checked in for a two night stay. At first glance, our room seemed clean. The bathroom floor was covered in hair. We noted it, didn't worry about it. After a long day of sight seeing, we were looking forward to a nice warm bed. As I pulled the bedding down there was old food that became un-lodged and I brushed it onto the carpet in front of the bed. Gross for sure, but it was late, and sleep was first on our to-do list. A bit later, my husband yelled into the bathroom for me to come see our next surprise! He had gotten under the covers and at 6'3'' noticed his feet were touching a large wet spot. So disgusting! The bedding on top was dry, the wet spot (dinner plate sized) was under the top blanket, and soaked through. We called the front desk and they did sent someone up right away. She changed the whole bed, we pointed out the dryness on top and wetness underneath. With the language barrier, she couldn't weigh in on what type of bodily fluid we were about to get up close and personal with. This was approx. 10:30 pm. Not that there is ever a good time to find this. No staff called the rest of our stay to apologize, nor did they mention it at our check out at the front desk. The next day when we returned to our room, the food we had mentioned at the 'wet call' was still all over the floor. This amazed us! Would it not be common sense that if you received, what I would hope was a strange occurrence in a guest's room, that this room be marked as a special clean-up? No...no cleaning, hair still on floor, food from previous guests on floor. No mention to us about any of this. Once home we called Customer Service and voiced our concerns. They offered us some of our points back. Oh, I forgot to mention, that we are DIAMOND members. Maybe the save the minimum service for their PLATINUM members. I was also asked if I would like a follow-up call from the hotel itself, which I replied yes. After a couple of weeks, I heard nothing. I emailed once again, and today I was told that the Best Western person I spoke with had resolved the problem on their end (points returned) and that the matter was forward to hotel for their records, not to respond to me. No, No, No....I said YES, I wanted to hear from the hotel directly. That was my point. No one address this matter with us. I find that to be POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The hotel was real nice and nice and courteous staff, they spoke English and French and answered all my questions, the room was very clean, you can smell the bleach in the bathroom, the only thing that bothered me a little was the $20 parking but it was snowing bad outside but I will not pay that if it was summer time

This hotel is nicely located downtown Quebec City. Easy walk to the Old Quebec. Nice size room. Nice view from the top floor. Nice restaurants nearby. Valet Parking available at $26.00/day for your car. There are cheaper public parking around. The only problem is to find a spot. Like to hotel and recommend it for visitors who want to be near the old Quebec City while staying in Quebec City. The only thing I don't like is the price changes depending on the season or time of the year. Not really their fault. It is the way the industry works.

We stayed at the Best western for two nights and had a very peaceful time. It is well situated and has a café and restaurant and free WIFI. It also has an indoor pool. The only item that is sort of expensive is the parking at 26 dollars a day however that includes service that will park your car and retrieve it with in and out privileges

The service is very bad. We found fries in the room upon our arrival, after check in. The bed was poorly tidy and cutlery that we had breakfast in the morning were dirty in the room even after the housekeeping. The swimming pool is cold even with the temperature outside is -18 degrees. The location is not good also, because it's stay far from the main attractiveness. The size of the room is the only good thing. So, I strongly recommend to find another place to enjoy Quebec.

A good location, easy walk to Old Quebec ~ 15 minutes. Close to the laundry facilities ~ 200 meters down the road. We are a family of five, so a good opportunity to clean the clothes before the next leg of our trip. Buffet breakfast was plentiful, they have an early bird special for breakfast for the early riser. Would stay here again if visiting Quebec. We had two Queens and a sofa bed, sofa bed was a little uncomfortable. The bathroom was a very good size.

Happy with my choice. Room was nice, comfortable, and clean. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The indoor pool was plus for us that were traveling with a toddler. The Cafe In and the Restaraunt were great. Food was really good, and the prices were reasonable.

Staff and service were exceptional! Location we love. 30 minutes to the port and old Quebec City. The best restaurants are in this side of town. Valet parking was reasonable and you have in and out privileges.

The location of this Best Western is great. Everything you can do is within walking distance or a short cab ride away. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly, the food was good. Although, it was a quick trip, knowing you have no issues with where you are staying make thing a little easier.

It is clean, tidy and quiet and a good place to stay. It is central and there are plenty of eateries in the area. It is not a long walk to the Old City and there is public tranport all around the area. Would stay again in Quebec City and the staff speak English for us non Francophiles.

We enjoyed this hotel as the location had lots of dining and things to do within walking distance. The staff was great and had no problems. The rooms clean and a good size. The beds were comfortable with lots of pillows. We enjoyed the buffet breakfasts that had lots of selection and kept fresh. Overall I had no issues with my stay and would come back again. The only issue I should mention is valet parking. I did not know there is no parking here so you really had no choice but to use it. The valet parking was great but an added expense I did not know about.

Beautiful room, very spacious especially the shower area. We also really enjoy breakfast at their restaurant. But the nice surprise was the café. Very cozy and great ambiance. Our weekend escapade was very enjoyable. We will be back for certain. Thank you!

We were treated very well by the staff. Room was large and comfortable and easy access to the areas for walking. Only issue was going down for breakfast. A couple were waiting in front of us and apparently they had been there awhile with no help. There was a gentleman at the cash register area that was on the phone and seemed rather upset with whoever he was talking to. He never acknowledged them or us. We all left and went elsewhere for breakfast. Other than that, you couldn't ask for a better place and the help that everyone else gave you made up for us. The others would take their time explaining questions and directions you asked about. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We enjoyed the hotel- rooms were fine and we did not mind the 25 min walk to the old port. We ate supper in the hotel and had coffee in the coffee shop in the evening. The only problem we encountered was after we returned home from our cruise. Stayed at hotel from Oct. 11-13. I had booked our room with Air Miles many months prior. I gave the clerk my Amex card as required with check in. I discovered that I had been charged over 330.00-------- I had no charges with our stay. When I contacted the hotel directly -- I was told that indeed I owed that amount and that I had booked through some Quebec tour company. The person that I spoke with insisted that he was right and I was wrong. He told me that his supervisor would simply repeat the same rhetoric. Unfortunately I had disposed of my confirmation email when I contacted Amex to launch a fraud complaint. Thankfully Air Miles came through and resolved the issue. Lesson learned --- even though I was told that I had no charges at check out--apparently they put an inflated amount through. Will look for another hotel when visiting Quebec City in future.

We arrived in the evening and the dark narrow streets didn't give us a good first impression. We were told we couldn't park and were thus forced to use the valet service which was not cheap. The room was smaller than the one we had at the Best Western in Ottawa. But the bathroom was clean, the beds comfortable and the neighborhood looked nicer in the daylight. Plus, the hop-on-hop-off bus stop was only a short walk away.

This hotel is on a quiet street in Quebec City. It is easy to walk from this hotel to restaurants and shopping. To get to the walled city it is uphill. Staff was friendly and helpful. They gave us directions to a department store and several restaurants.

Booked through a 3rd party site as a trip for my wife's birthday. At full price it would of been a decent price for such a comfortable room and fabulous staff. The restaurant food was great and the bartender in the lounge was even better.

We booked this hotel for three nights after getting off a cruise. The room was very nice and comfortable and the common areas were nice also. The only slight negative was the restaurant affiliated with the hotel was a little expensive so we mostly at at nearby restaurants. The service at the hotel was outstanding! The front desk staff was very helpful answering questions about tours and booking them for you.

My wife and I are staying at this hotel tonight. We are extremely happy with the service and the room. Our check in process was very easy as the staff was friendly. Rooms are really spacious, clean and beds are comfy. Washrooms are very big as well. We went in the pool today, room was warm and extremely cozy. This hotel is walking distance to the old Quebec, and has plenty of shops are as well if you are looking for restaurants. I would strongly suggest this hotel to anyone!

TLDR: Overall, it was okay bordering mediocre. It was over 20% cheaper vs the competition (Hilton or the Hotel PUR) so I stayed here this time, but next time I would go elsewhere, or even across the river to Levis to take the ferry straight into the Old City. I stayed here for 2 nights over Columbus Day (US) and Thanksgiving (Canada). First off, the location is great. There is parking accessible all-around within a 10 minute walk. We drove up from Boston the day before and parked at SPAQ Odeon. Lots of space, 8 CAD per day. Piece of cake. More on location. There are restaurants all around, but R. St. Joseph isn't exactly jam packed with options. There will be a bistro on one block. The two blocks down there will be another couple of joints. To get a sense of what's open and available, you need to walk down the entire stretch. Thus it's good to reserve in advance and know where you're eating before you set out. Be prepared to wander quite a bit if you don't. The king bed was very comfortable. The reception was fine, check in was quick. Standard 3-4 star hotel convenience. Nothing extraordinary but nothing to criticize either. Housekeeping wasn't great though. One, the sheets had small stains all over - perhaps they are from previous stays or poor treatment through the machines. But it definitely wasn't pleasing. Two, the bed wasn't picked up for properly. We found pillows and throws left on the floor despite receiving housekeeping - this kind of defeats the point of receiving cleaning. Three, towels weren't clean and toiletry replacements were carelessly strewn across the side of the sink - it takes 5 seconds, why can't staff actually place things so they look nice? It's a minor detail (soap is soap after all), but it does eat into the overall experience. Didn't really feel taken care of which is poor.

The highlight was it being in downtown. I was able to get into the hop on and hop off bus at stop# 2 right next to the hotel. Get the breakfast included in the room. Its worth the few extra bucks. Staff and service wereall good. The TV had some issue as it had slow response time to any button you would press. Other than TV, no problem I encountered

This is a nice hotel with a small cafe/bar. A bistro is very nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The king bed was dreamy! The towels could be a bit softer but they did the job. We did walk part of the city from this location.

We appreciated the location: a 15-minute straight-shot walk from the train station and maybe a 30-minute walk (up stairs and a hill) to the Old Town area. Nice restaurants are very close by, but the walk to Old Town gives you many more options for dining and sightseeing. Our room was clean, huge and blessedly quiet (after staying at a different chain hotel in Toronto where we think a herd of elephants from the Toronto Zoo had temporary quarters). Staff was friendly and professional. Wi fi worked great.

Our first trip to Quebec City was made even better with our stay here. The location was great, with a moderate walk to Old Town area. It was also a good value for an excellent accommodation such as this. Staff spoke good English, plus their French. Very helpful.

The hotel is a bit dated and dark and about a 20 minute walk from the "Old Town". The price is better than the old town hotels. They only offer Valet Parking so if you have a rental car and you hand over your keys is your insurance still valid?

the room was spacious and very comfortable. the staff were courteous and all the amenities were included in the room. Plenty of coffee pods which was important. shortcuts to the old city were accurate. Great value for a hotel within walking distance to the Old City. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we've had in a hotel of this class and our dinner was a great casual meal. The servers are outstanding.

I bused here on a Monday morning after disembarking the cruise ship I had been on for 10 nights. I was very surprised and thrilled they gave me my room well before noon! Every young lady I talked to was as helpful and nice as ever especially about directions to things in the neighborhood.My room was big with a mini-fridge, had a sofa, and even some TV channels from Vermont USA.If I ever am back in this city I would try and stay here again.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Arrived in the middle night with no reservation. The front desk girl was very polite & accommodating. The hotel is located in the downtown area of the city. If you want to go to the Old Town area where there are many restaurants & gift shops (main tourist area) you will need to walk up hill. And when I say that I mean literally up hills. We walked up & back. You can also take an Uber or bus or drive, but parking can be an issue. Speaking of parking. This hotel does not have a parking lot. It's only valet. We were a little concerned about this but it worked out well. Our car was always ready for us within a few minutes. The hotel is very clean & the entire staff is friendly. The room we had was large enough for our family of 4. Mini fridge. It was also nice having the option to turn the TV to English. There wasn't to many places to eat close by. The restaurants also close by 9-10pm. We had breakfast at the restaurant one morning, but never returned. It wasn't that great. There was a little store on the next corner where you can get beer, wine, snacks and such from. The pool was small and not very clean. It was also cold. Went in and right out. We enjoyed our stay overall.

the location is a little far from the actual old town, but is quite close to bus stops etc. there are a few restaurants right across the street. the rooms is a bit like express hotels and not that luxurious.

We had a disappointing visit the week before, however, this visit certainly made up for it. The staff were very accommodating when I asked if it was possible to check in early. I called around 12:30 and we arrived in Quebec around 2:30 and were able to check in without any problems. The room was very nice! The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars was because breakfast was not included and the parking was 26.50 per night. We stayed at four other Best Western that week which included both breakfast and parking

I always count on Best Western - even outside the USA. Great room, tea provided with the coffee maker in addition to coffee which I appreciate, comfortable bed, good food at the restaurant & great service, BW rewards loyal customers. .

I have no issue with this hotel. It is everything that the writeup says. The staff on the other hand are superb, they are there to make sure that your stay is enjoyable and do it with ease. An easy walk to Old Quebec so who could ask for anything more,.

The hotel itself is great - a very clean, comfortable room, a helpful staff, and great amenities (I particularly enjoyed the pool and workout room). The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood, but is a bit of a hike from the main attractions in Quebec City. It's a 15 minute walk from the train station, and roughly a 30 minute walk to Old Quebec. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't mind this - the walk gives you a perfect opportunity to check out the beauty of Quebec. However, it was my bad luck that the city was hit with a massive blizzard my last day in town, making the streets virtually impassible. Obviously, this isn't the hotel's fault - this was the risk I took by visiting Quebec in early April. I would recommend, though, getting a bus pass if you're going to be in town a few days (the bus system is QC is relatively extensive and reliable). Overall, I would absolutely stay here again!

We liked this hotel very much. The price was good for QC. If you book through bw they offer a AAA discount. The rooms were clean, modern, pretty, with comfortable beds and they are quiet. Wifi worked well. There is a fridge in each room and plenty of room for luggage, etc. I like the area very much. It is within walking distance to the main sights, albeit up a hill. There are many nice restaurants nearby. For breakfast, I'd recommend La Boite a Pain or even the Starbucks. There are many nice restaurants nearby (e.g. on Rue St Joseph). Check the reviews before you go because some of the restaurants nearest the hotel have terrible reviews. There is a small supermarket and a cvs-type store about a block away. The hotel works well if you're driving. The entrance is on a side street (Rue du Roi) so you can drop off luggage, check in with no hassle. There are many public garages nearby so you can self park for half the price the hotel charges for valet. The hotel has a pool and a restaurant, but we didn't try them. One potential negative. The hotel is pet-friendly so you would not want this hotel if you don't like dogs. I don't like pet-friendly hotels (sometimes the rooms are smelly) but we had no problems with the rooms at all. I would definitely stay here again.

Had business in the Port of Quebec at the end of last month (July 2018) and stayed 2 nights at the Best Western City Centre. Great value and great convenience and just a pity that I had to work late as appears a great location for many interesting restaurants. Next time in Quebec City I know where I am staying as this hotel offers great location, great convenience and a good price

This hotel is a little off the beaten path but not too far from the tourist spots in Quebec City. While it doesn't look fancy on the outside, the inside is great. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are spacious, clean,and comfortable, and appear newly redecorated. Great shower! The Bistro is a great place for a very good breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for comfort and price.

I was staying 4 nights in August with my 2 teenage daughters at this hôtel. Good: What did you like? What we've liked the most was quality of the services and the equipments of this hotel. The staff at the reception was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and bed really confortable. We've liked especially the location of this hotel at less than 15mn walk from « Porte St Jean ». The in-door swimming pool is beautiful and decorated with Wall paintings... Really awesome. I never saw something so nice! There is a safe in the room and gym equipments next to the swimming pool. We've not use the valet parking but the public parking next door which is cheaper. Overall, I recommend this place for the good location and the quality of services in general.

It was easy to manage the room.Personel was so kindly and helped me to choose some events too.Hotel is very comphy,room quite enough..There is only one problem is the room has bad smell.It maybe comes from carpet..It was really bad.

A few things. As a Visitor walking uphill throughout the City for 5 days, a spa area is a must. At the very least a hot tub for very sore legs and feet and to relax. The pool was not sufficient and had lots of children in it, past 9pm (when it was supposed to Adult swim only which was not enforced) and past capacity. In addition, I asked for the room to be FULLY cleaned everyday, (I even left extra for tips) as I have a thing about cleanliness (in my home and when I am on vacation) The room was not fully cleaned everyday, we noticed that there was still stuff in the carpet, soap dish not cleaned out in bath area ( wet and soap scummy, and I even threw out the used soaps for them myself!). Only garbage dumped out one day it seemed. Also I asked for extra shampoo's, soap, coffee, towels on the card and told them about full cleaning everyday on the same card and gave it at the front desk etc as there where 3 people staying in the room, we needed extra supplies. I had to go to the front desk and ask for the extra products despite previously telling that we needed extra everyday. In addition about them not fully cleaning the room, vacuming, changing pillow cases etc. Front desk said "We can send someone up now" It was 7pm when we got back, did not feel like getting out of the room with our aching feet with no hot tub to even relax, so someone to clean, when it should have been done previously. Also more services/shops in the hotel. Cafe is small but nice, but felt like other services (like a mini spa!) and a little shop selling necessities and such would be highly beneficial. PLEASE get a hot tub or something!! Also offering vegan food as an option in the restaurant would have been very nice, as we had to travel all over the place even for breakfast, when would would have been satisfied to have a vegan meal here and there at the Hotel. The room we found to be rather small for 3 people, but the beds were very comfortable. Location not the greatest, but you can take the bus (nearby) or Uber (if you did not bring your vehicle) or prepare to walk uphill ALOT) Staff at front desk very very friendly and helpful, 5 stars for them, cleaning 2 stars, services offered 2-3 stars.

This hotel is about 25 mins walk from the happenings of old Quebec. I would not recommend this hotel as it is old and outdated and located in a very very dodgy part of town with lots of homeless people around. Also very dead area sort of like a dingy alley. The pool is very very small. The next time I would stay in a hotel in the heart of old Quebec because you have to pay for parking at Best Western and pay again for parking in site seeing at Old Quebec. It's too far to walk to see stuff and you don't want to be walking back to hotel in this area at night. The hotel restaurant and cafe was nice.

The hotel was very clean and staff was very polite. Location isn't terrible - it's a bit of a hike to the old city (and a steep hike at that). But overall, it's certainly worth considering. There are restaurants and bars nearby as well.

I'd like to give a 6 star if possible! The room is spacious, very cleaned! Bathroom is big! Impressed shower! Bed is so comfortable! Not hard, not soft! Pillows also, are not too big, not hard, well comfortable to get you into a deep sleep! Also 2 body pillows! Internet was strong, stable! Especially the Receptionists! Convenient to Old Town via tours. Rooms were small. Beds were very comfortable, refrigerators in rooms. Restaurant had a breakfast buffet with a good selection of traditional American breakfast items as well as cheeses, fruits, and deli meats. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and great one day, nasty and over cooked the next. Staff is bi-lingual and very friendly.

Modern, clean hotel with spacious rooms and amazing staff! We were travelling with our dog, and the info they provide is incredibly useful! They provide locations for local dog parks, vets, and walkers and unlike so many other hotels that just allow dogs, they make you feel like your pet is welcome! At first glance, the hotel doesn't look particularly inviting - the main entrance is on a sort of barren alleyway - but give it a chance, because inside, it's lovely, and it's just a half hour walk through the beautiful streets of Quebec City to get to the old city and waterfront!

We visited Quebec City during a recent family road trip and stayed at this location. IT was clean. The beds were comfortable. The room was quite spacious. The location was perfect for our needs. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful.

Thanks to mgmt and staff at this modern establishment, we have a new benchmark for great hospitality! They win the prize for being pet friendly, while also ensuring pets do not disturb other guests. Their warmth and friendliness and personalized pet welcome with lists of pet owner responsibilities and helpful information, vet, groomer, dog walker and pet store info and map of green spaces wowed us. Our room was large, very clean, and comfortable. The buffet breakfast we enjoyed in their bistro-style restaurant was a winner, Other amenities include: an indoor pool, a whirlpool tub, fitness centre, business centre and meeting facilities.

This was a great surprise. We got a huge room with 2 queen beds. Perfect for a family. They are pet friendly too which was great. The kids had a blast at the pool. Not in Old Quebec but not too bad a walk. Front desk staff was very friendly.

The best way to access the hotel is through Rue du Roy - the official address leads you to the hotel Café entrance. Very expensive, but convenient, parking fee- in/out privilege. As BW members we got a welcome gift which was very nice. The room was huge and very tastefully furnished. The shower in the bathroom was also huge. It took us a while to figure out how to manage the water tap but eventualy we got it (pull and push). Ultra comfy bed. Greal location, close to the old town. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area. Cool trendy neighborhood. We did walk to the old town. There is a lift to ease the way. Great stay.

Great location - not in old town, but hop on hop off bus pick up just around the corner and you can book tours at reception in hotel. Room was very spacious and modern. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Refrigerator and safe in room. Table and 2 chairs. Writing desk with convenient power point locations. Valet parking available $26 plus taxes a day but very convenient in a city. Shops and restaurants close by. In house restaurant too - Bistro Le 330 ( see restaurant review). Indoor pool was nice but no hot spa. Gym was convenient near pool area.

The hotel was outside the Old Port and not on the main street through the arches to the Old Port. It is on the "lower level" ...The reception area was very neat and clean, personnel were friendly, car was brought to up promptly every time we requested it, and the room was VERY spacious. There were 3 of us and we had an EXCEPTIONAL room. For 3 people this room was the best I've stayed in, including Vegas resorts. Our room looked over the restaurant located in a "center area."

This was a very nice hotel with friendly staff that you wouldn't get at a 4 star or above. Really caters to families, I find. The kids loved the huge rooms with the beds at either side of the room- overlooking the restaurant. Great breakfast btw. A little out of the way to Old Quebec but the walk is worth the money you save.

I have stayed here before a few years ago so this is my second time using this establishment for my 4 days visit to Quebec City. Our room this time is quite small compared to the one we received last time but that is not a problem, but I do prefer two beds than one single King bed. We are put on the ground floor again and it gets quite noisy on the weekend with noise coming in from the outside. The major problem comes from the weak air conditioner in the room even though it is April but the room gets stuffy really quickly after a shower, and my son and I have to sleep on the floor at night in order to keep ourselves cool. However, having said that, after I filled out the comment and opinion by email the manager of the hotel said he would address that issue to ensure the AC in that room will be looked at. A lot of good restaurants are just a stone's throw from the hotel so we do take advantage of that. Valet parking is not cheap but they are efficient with in and out privilege.

Discovered A new Location staying here. Always stay within Walls of Old Quebec but wasnt too far out of The way to al the Highlights.Great Value. There was a Great Smoked Meat Sandwich Restaurant called Phils around Corner. My friend said it was the best Smoked Meat she has ever had.

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed an affordable, well located hotel, with restaurants around and only a 15 min. walk to the Old City part. The staff was very welcoming, polite and helpful. We had a king size room which was clean and comfortable. The only issue I had with the first room given was that there was no outside window. The window in that room was sealed with an indoor view of the restaurant court below. I went back to the front desk and they changed it to another one on the same floor without problem, which I did appreciate. It would be good to know when making a reservation that some of the rooms have no exterior window. There a small indoor pool that we used, it was clean but it's popular with families so it can become overcrowded at some point. We had breakfast at both restaurants on site and it was good. The only negative point I found was the overpriced parking fee (26$/day) so I decided to park the car on the streets around the hotel. There's also some public parking around that charge less.

Staff is professional, attentive, and friendly. Hotel is in a great location. Wished the bar stayed open later, but there is a bar right across the street that is open as late as anyone could want. My online request asked for a high floor. The gentleman checking me in told me they upgraded me to the business-class floor to accommodate my request. Thank you! The hotel looks updated, and the room was clean and well-appointed. Only a few issues: Housecleaning did not wipe down a counter where my daughter applied her makeup, and left some “makeup dust”. This happened three days in a row. Housecleaning did not put away the iron, after I left it out to cool down, and put away the board. The toilet required holding down the handle for five-ten seconds to make sure it worked properly. Not broken, but a bit of an annoyance. I inquired at the front desk. They agreed this should not be the case, and promised someone to look at it during the day when we were out. When we got back at night, it may have improved slightly, but still required an effort. I know, a “first world problem”. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for the cost, the professionalism of the staff, and the updated decor.

Very clean hotel in a central location walking distance from the historic area as well as many shops and restaurants. Room was in good condition with a large TV. Huge room with a tiny bathroom, but good water pressure and very hot water. Moderate noise from hallway and adjacent room. Wifi worked but was too intermittent to play video games. Good value for price paid.

I stayed here and although it is not a new hotel, it was nice, super service, rooms clean and updated. It was close enough to walk to the old part of Quebec, also close to shopping and many restaurants.

Hotel was very convenient away from traffic and only a block from the Hop On/Hop Off bus which we used all day to view sights in the morning and then take it again to visit things we thought we'd like to spend time at.

I was traveling with a dog and at check in they gave be a doggy kit which consisted of a package of doggy doo bags, a couple of biscuits and a list of nearby veterinarians - nice touch Best Western! There is even a patch of grass just outside the front door of the hotel in this otherwise concrete jungle Room was really nice and quiet - even though it was on the ground floor and faced the street. There are some really good bakeries up on Rue St Joseph Old Quebec city is a short walk away, and you have to climb the stairs. There is an elevator too but the elevator does not run 24/7

Good location about 15 minutes outside of the old town Quebec city and the main tourist areas by the St Lawrence river. Note that all of the walking consists of uphill. Staff at the front desk are efficient and get the job done but you just don't get the warm welcome feeling some other hotels convey to you as a guest. Each night after a long day of touring, we would walk past the small front reception area where all of the staff were located. There was never any greeting such as "hello" or "welcome" by any of the team. Housekeeping needs improvement as I left the standard card placed on my bed to change the linens along with an envelope they leave specifically labeled for tips on my bed. To my surprise when I returned, the tip was gone but my bed linens were not changed. Bathroom essentials were not replenished such as the roll of toilet paper and tissue. On the positive note, my room was clean and very quiet. I could barely hear any noise from the outside hall or adjacent rooms.

Nice rooms with enough space, clean, fairly well situated (it's not quite as close to downtown as I had thought but still manageable), There is a buffet downstairs as well as a little coffee shop/bar. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Have now been here three days of a six night stay..would book out if I was not committed and payed for with no cancellation. Housekeeping has been atrocious and would not rate a 1 star rating. Glasses and coffee cups have been used and not cleaned for three days...today they were cleaned but obviousy,washed in the bathroom sink,towel lint still on the glasses. Used towels were removed each day but not replaced with supply dwindling each day..cleaning of room basic at vest. This evening I arrived to find my room unlocked, the latch of the lock had been folded to prevent the door from closing must have been that way all day, lucky nothing was missing. Each day I have had tio have my key kard reprogrammed not a major but a pain as it has necessitated a trip back to the lobby to get to the room. To top it off tonight a silver fish making its way across the bathroom floor...at least it was not a bed bug...I think there must be much better choices in Quebec city!

Ultimately, this hotel was chosen because of a combination good price on a brand I know. There are dozens of smaller hotels closer to the old city--some names known, many unknown. BW is a little bit further out than you might first believe. I mean, it's still only 20-25 minutes to walk to the old town, but it's almost completely uphill. I'm fit and can't imagine an unfit person making that trek 1-2x daily, As for the hotel itself: lovely. The staff at check-in were kind and very helpful with recommendations of local places to eat. They have a great coffee bar downstairs. My husband is a bit of a coffee snob and almost always prefers Starbucks but this little place slayed the giant. We also enjoyed some drinks in the bar (adjacent to the coffee bar) with a super friendly bartender (JP) with whom we chatted about everything from soup to nuts. He even shared a new cocktail creation with us. Day 1 of our trip was cool/windy, day 2 was hot, turning rainy and day 3 chilly and windy. The hotel provided us with an umbrella to weather the elements. Our room was quiet and roomy--somewhat larger than the standard hotel room, which is nice when you've got suitcases all over the place. The mattress was firm yet comfortable. Each room has a Keurig and offers free Wi-Fi. For about $30/night, you can use valet service for you car and forget about city parking. Please consider this place when you are staying in Quebec City. It's in a location that's clearly on the trend--we found plenty of pleasant little shops, bakeries, pubs and eateries within immediate walking distance.

Cleanliness & Staff were very good. Location was ok as so many place oneway bothered us to reach the Hotel. Hotel didn't have Big board at it's name at the main entrance. Hotel name was all the way at top of the building..

We were very pleased with our recent stay at BW Centre-ville! Room was awesome - very clean and much better than we had anticipated. We also ate at the bistro and it was great value for our money. Had breakfast off the menu - the buffet looked a little wilted. :-) The coffee shop was also excellent value.....all in all we would recommend this to someone who enjoys being close to good dining spots and isn't afraid to walk. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from getting into Old Quebec but it's a nice and safe walk.

My husband and I stayed in BW Centre-ville Quebec for two nights in mid-April. We are very satisfied with this hotel mainly due to its location and conveniences. 1) Location: - 15 mins away by walk from/to Old Quebec where is the most tourist attraction place - 7 mins away by bus to Old Quebec (There are more than 2 buses you can take very near Hotel) - 10 mins away by walk from/to New Orleans bus terminal where you can get public transportations from/to Montreal (5-7 mins away by bus) - The hotel is in the downtown so it is very easy to go to many places but Old Quebec. We took buses quite often to explore other areas but the major tourist attractions and did not have any difficulties to find nearest stops from the hotel. 2) Conveniences - There is one CVS right in front of the hotel -- you can buy almost everything including one-day passes and bottle water. - There are some express dining places including Thai one within 3mins area. - There is one lounge/cafe on the 1st floor and one Starbucks in 3mins. - There is one supermarket (quite ok-sized) in 5mins and we bought some grocery items there. 3) Quite modern interior and quality service - It is in modern style -- far better than expected-- clean and large. - We did not have any issues for its service - We enjoyed the happy hour in the bar on the first fl. and the service was very good.

Booked a room here for a weekend trip with my son and father. Was on a bit of a budget so was looking for the best priced "nice" hotel. I must say I was very impressed. The location was a bit outside of Old Quebec but the walk was very doable and it was really close to lost of amazing restaurants. We got a great room on the top floor that was huge. The staff was amazing, even sending a very personalized birthday card and small box of chocolates to the room for my dads birthday. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a budget friendly, clean hotel.

With a baby, the hotel gave us a ground floor room in the corner of the hotel so it was nice and quiet and we didn't need to use the elevator. The crib that was provided was great, they had mattress pad and clean sheets for that. The pool area is well decorated. The water is a little colder than what we are used to but no big deal. We stayed at 3 Best Westerns during this road trip, and this one had the most spacious rooms, although the wood paneling in the bathroom and the room looks a little old fashion. Tip #1: Lots of great restaurants along St. Joseph street, just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Do your research beforehand. Tip #2: You can park for free on the nearby streets before 9 am (10 am on Sundays), so if you are leaving early, you can save yourself the hotel parking fee.

While in Quebec City to attend a concert we stayed over at the Best Western Plus. This hotel is not really in downtown Quebec it's actually in Cite Limoilou very close to the Videotron Centre. The room was clean, large and on the quiet side of the building. The rate included a full buffet breakfast. The buffet was well stocked with the regular breakfast items as well as a few local / regional items. The servers attentive and welcoming.

This was a Hotwire booking and we got a great rate. It is in the trendy saint Roche district and we booked three rooms. The valet parking was a bit annoying but reasonable at 25$ per night. The area had great pubs and restaurants nearby but not the best for feeling safe as side streets were dark and most everything is up steep hills or stairs. I would have paid $30-50 more per night to be nearer to old town and have free parking. The best western chain is my favourite for good quality at a discount but this one fell short in cleaning. We asked to have sheets changed and even put the card on the bed to have them done. The room tidy took place very late in the day and we had to ask for towels and they forgot shampoo twice. They were full though so I would imagine it was a busy time. But it didn't feel as if care was taken and beds were just made and garbages empties nothing else. They ignored our request for new sheets(ours had coffee spilled otherwise we would be more environmentally conscious). Shower was good pressure but bad fittings. Kids enjoyed the pool. Buffet breakfast was reasonably priced and excellent food. Beds were superbly comfortable. We felt as though we got our money worth but would very much have been more satisfied if housekeeping was more attentive.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of our trip to Quebec City which was extended due to winter weather. The stay was a very pleasant one for a few reasons: 1) We were able to check in early - we had to check out of our airbnb at 11am and called the day before to ask if we could check in early. The front desk lady said she'd put a note on our file but couldn't guarantee. Happily they were able to help us out and we got right into our hotel room when we arrived around 11:30am. 2) They have brand new hotel rooms - Our hotel room was fresh and had a great bathroom that was clearly just renovated with really pretty features, new faucets, etc. 3) They have a great pool - The pool area was large with quite a lot of seating. Take note that it does get busy later in the day. Initially, we checked out the pool in the late morning and there was only one family there. Later in the afternoon it was a lot busier. We still found a space to sit and my daughter and husband went in the pool. Towels are stocked by the pool so you don't have to bring yours from your room. Only thing that would be a nice add-on would be a little shower area so you could shower before going in the pool. More sanitary and prevents chlorine from absorbing into your skin as much. 4) Great meals - the hotel has a restaurant in the building which we enjoyed twice. The first evening we got room service because we couldn't find anywhere else to get baked potatoes nearby and my daughter had been asking for them for a few days! Meal was good and we couldn't beat the convenience. We also had Sunday breakfast at the hotel and it was superb! Enough hot and cold buffet options to satisfy everyone in the family. My daughter had a great assortment of fruits which we were so pleased with! 4) Location - super great location. Steps away from Benjo toy store and a library. We didn't get to take in all of the attractions during our short stay but this location would be excellent if you wanted to explore some of the beauty Quebec City has to offer. _____ Overall this was a great hotel and we would definitely stay here again. One tip - Valet service is $20 with no self-park option, but you could save a few dollars by parking offsite yourself, though for us we didn't feel it was worth it.

Stayed here for two nights during motorcycle tour with three other couples. This was a stop to visit and experience Quebec City. No breakfast included here but meals are available in a restaurant at the hotel. We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. We found the meals good at the hotel and also walked a sheet distance away to eat at another restaurant. This hotel is not within the old Quebec City area but is a healthy walk to get to and from it.

Stayed here for 5 days. The rooms were nice and spacious. So was the bathroom and toiletries provided. The food however was very bad and tasteless. For room service, they charge $5 plus service tax and tip. That seems a bit ridiculous to me. Moreover, the heater in the room makes noise. I got a great deal through Priceline so i booked it, wouldn't pay 100 bucks for this hotel.

Our king room was one of the most comfortable we have stayed in, including large, multi-directional shower stall. Breakfast area in lower level was brightly lit from multi-level windows with good food and service. Would like an alternative to valet parking but at $25 the price is not exorbitant.

I stayed last week. It's a clean, comfortable hotel - the rooms were spacious and the check-in was efficient. The staff were also quite friendly. The restaurant/bar was a little overpriced for what it was but the food was fine and service good. The hotel was also advertised at 4* but in my view, it is more of a very good 3*. On reflection, I think I would have preferred to pay a little bit extra and somewhere in the old town. It's a bit of a walk to the main sites, and there is more action there but I had a pleasant stay nonetheless.

Hotel is dated.. just very average, paid parking was 25.00 a Day which I think is to high...it's in a good location but defiantly needs to be upgraded .. rooms we avereage size beds were comfoable bathrooms were clean it's ok for the money but I'd of rather stayed elsewhere that parking is included and Breakfast

I came here because I had had such an excellent stay the year before. It was no fluke. The front desk made you feel welcomed from the moment that you came in the hotel. The rooms were large and clean. The only drawback is that the area is fairly closed down at night so you can't really walk around and see things in this part of the city.

Stayed for a ski trip first week of January - check in was a breeze and all were helpful and accommodating even though we had screwed up our reservations - long story :) Room we received was quite large and clean - big comfy beds. Hotel was quiet and the car valet service was very fast - called when left room and van was waiting when we got to the lobby. Breakfast buffet was a full hot/cold buffet and was above average - even included some traditional Quebec items. Lots of good inexpensive restaurants around the hotel. Will be back on next ski trip.

It was our second stay at Best Western Quebec, and I am sure we'll be back again, great service, amazing beds, nice location! Bravo, Best Western!! We came right before New Year Eve, first we stayed at a different hotel,but then I found a availability in Best Western-we booked at least two nights in there)) It was worthy, believe me!

Love this place. Perfect location for great food (try the Piazzetta - marvelous!) and great ski (Mont-Ste-Anne). Friendly staff, clean rooms and great atmosphere - it makes me want to return to Quebec

I have no single complain about this hotel. Everything was good. Location is perfect just in the edge of downton and the urban city. I would definetely recommend this hotel for family trips. The only thing I would change is the variety of the food they offer for breakfast, but it was still tasty every single morning.

A very good hotel close to main attractions in the city and at a good price; no noise and good neighbourhood;the room was quite large if we compare to most hotel we stayed in. the shower large and very spacious; a good sink very clean and quite handy; the toilet was not noisy and of right size; a good cloiset for hanging our garments; a fair size fridge for food and cold drinks. A TV of good size and a large writing counter, Over all a cool room !!!

Have stayed in BW Plus hotels before. Nothing "plus" about this one. Walking distance to Old City is best feature.. Had to ask for more cups and coffee every day of our stay. Housekeeping never changed sheets or vacuumed room- and it needed it! Expected breakfast as it was a plus hotel- not included. Website said there was a hot tub. There is not. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful with questions. Valet staff was prompt.

One night stay during Christmas break. Great service from hotel staff. Our room was noisy and we had to wait about 10 minutes to get an elevator at check-out time, so try to plan accordingly because there is only 2 elevators. Also don't expect a Jacuzzi, they removed it and now it is pool only, disappointing when you expect having some relaxing time in hot water.

I recommend this hotel for all business matter in Quebec and for summer vacation as the pool is outside. Close to the cycling road and still propose a view of the bridge. This hotel is still new so all rooms are very confortable.

The staff at this hotel are VERY good. They were all very friendly and the front desk staff were very helpful in showing us on a map where we needed to go. The hotel is relatively close to the old city and a cab is less than $10 if you cannot walk. It was extremely cold when we were here so we took a cab quite often. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I absolutely loved the rain shower head and the shower itself was gigantic. The carpet looked a little dated, but it was still clean. I did enjoy a muffin from the cafe every morning. It was fresh and moist. It very convenient to get a little snack in the morning without having to go to a restaurant or leave the hotel. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again and would have no trouble recommending it to others.

Kind of an odd location. The parking valet service is excellent. The rooms are too small and this includes the bathrooms. The coffee shop does not offer enough choice for usual items found in such a place. Would choose another BW in Quebec City the next time I am there in February 2018. Noisy heating system.

We spent 5 nights @ the Best Western Plus City Centre in September. It was a very last minute trip & reasonable rooms were hard to come by. We have stayed at many Best Western Hotels across Canada & have never been disappointed so when this one popped up on my search, we booked. Once again, I wasn't disappointed. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Staff was very pleasant & although you paid for the valet service, it was well worth it. When I was first looking for a hotel, I wanted something closer or right in old Quebec, but I was so glad I booked one a little further. It was about 2.5km to Old Quebe. We walked every day. It gave us the opportunity to explore places that we would not have if we would have driven everywhere. What an absolutely beautiful city. Safe to walk around in at all hours, clean & friendly. I fell in love with Quebec & can't wait to go back. We are planning to go back next fall again & will book at the Best Western Plus Centre/Center-Ville.

I had a great stay at the Best western hotel in Quebec City. The rooms are clean and non-smoker. Lots of space as well in the room and good sized TV. The bathroom was very large and has a big shower which is very welcoming. I would strongly recommend this Hotel to anyone who is staying in Quebec City.

Really pleased. The location is very convenient and our room was really nice and clean. Only complaint would be that the room was very hot even when we reset the thermostat to the lowest temperature option. But when we called the front desk to ask about it, they brought us a fan, which made a big difference. Very good service.

We were really pleased with the service received at the reception for both check in and check out. The room was clean and the beds comfy. Decorated with taste and seemed recently renovated. I suggest you join their membership for some little extra, always nice to have!

Good sized rooms with comfy beds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is an excellent variety of restaurants and cafes within a short walking distance of the hotel, even a laundromat on the next corner.

Wonderful clean and comfortable room! Excellent check in experience with Christian and he even had a little gift for our dog Bailey! They also have a map with some green areas for Bailey and a list of contacts numbers for vet, grooming and pet food stores nearby! Excellent price, location, would definitely stay again! Thank you!

I have stayed in this hotel several times and have always been happy with my experience. The Lobby area is clean and updated. The staff are friendly and very helpful. There is an indoor pool in this hotel. The pool area is clean, pool water is warm and clean. Our room with a king-size bed, was clean and of a good size. Our king size bed was large but very comfortable. The bed linen was new and of good quality. The bathroom was a good size, The water pressure and temperature was good . There are a nice supply of bath products offered. This hotel offers a great free breakfast to there guests. This is a real good breakfast,not just toast and dry cereal! This hotel is walking distance to old Quebec. There are several nice affordable restaurants in the area . We paid 100.00 for our room with a king size bed. This is a very good price for the area. I love this hotel. This is my go to hotel when I am in the Quebec city area. You will not be disappointed book this hotel.

My husband and I sincerely recommend this hotel. The hotel staff is very nice and helpfull. The room with a king size bed, bathrobes and all the amenities was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and a huge variety of food; fruits, eggs, omeletes, pancakes with delicious maple sugar sauce, a real delight plus all other sort of goodies.

We booked this hotel for one night pre-cruise. Arriving at 2:00pm our room was immediately available even though the book in time was 3:00pm. Reception was straight forward as we had prepaid. Our room was a good size, clean and nicly laid out. It was a little dark so most of the lights around the room had to be switched on. The pod coffee maker and coffee / tea provided was nicly flavoured and the machine worked well. The desk provided helpful information on how to use local bus transport to Montmorency falls. This was very helpful as very few people speak English as we found out when shoping and on the bus. Access to old city takes about 20 to 30 minutes mainly uphill. The hotel rate was extremely reasonable and would advise using Trip Adviser and Hotwire search engines for the best deals. We were also able to leave our luggage with concierge, leaviing us more time to view the city.

This hotel is a wonder to me personally. The price point is low, the quality is high and the rooms are excellent. Checking in with the very friendly front desk is a delight as you are treated well in English or French. The rooms are familiar but above average for a much more expensive hotel. Furniture is put in proper well though out places, the beds are comfortable, closet works well, bathroom is very clean and european feel comes to mind as you enter the shower. Careful thought has clearly been put into this hotel. While the hotel is in the actual city it is not the greatest location, as the entrance may leave some travellers wondering is this my hotel? In any event this is an excellent stay for business and pleasure travellers.

This Best Western is in a good location. It is definitely within walking distance of the old city (within 2 kilometers). If you get a taxi it is about $8. Uber was about $5. Taxi to and from the airport is $35. The hotel is a block from Saint Joseph Street where there are many restaurants, pubs, and cafes. We were given suggestions of many places to eat, we tried many of them and were very pleased. The tips were spot-on. The rooms were large. There were 2 queen sized beds. I was traveling with a group of 6 friends and we all wished we could take home the beds and pillows. We all agreed that the beds were the most comfortable we had slept on. And you would be hard pressed not to find at least one perfect pillow. You were given shampoo, conditioner, lotion, a makeup removing wipe, and disposable shower cap. The showers were easily adjustable to your preferred heat and the force of the spray was perfect. We stayed 5 nights and it was very quiet all nights. Even the traffic noise was very minimal. The café in the hotel was as good or better than any around the area. The croissants and muffins were fresh and tasty and they had the best spiced pumpkin lattes I have ever had. The coffee was also superior in quality and taste. The restaurant offers a full buffet. The buffet was well-stocked and offered the usual breakfast fare. I was able to order just the cold buffet for a reduced price. It was also good to find out that you could order eggs as you like as part of the buffet. The only downside was that due to renovations the pool, hot tub, and workout areas were closed and not accessible which was disappointing. Best Western offers a clean and very comfortable room and is a good value. I would definitely stay there again.

I stay at this Best Western Plus Quebec City Centre Hotel in October from the 23rd through the 27th. It has very friendly helpful staff. The room was above my expectations. Comfortable king bed and quiet area of the hotel. The dinner at the hotel restaurant that I had was the Penne Carbonara and it was excellent. Very creamy like the French gourmet chefs would make. The location of this hotel was very good as well. I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel was very nice and located close to the cruise ship terminal. It was reasonably priced for a hotel in Quebec City. The staff are very friendly and were able to provide answers for any questions we had. The free WiFi was a great bonus to us as well.

I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights, the price was good and the rooms were clean. It is at walking from the old Quebec city so it is a good place to visit Quebec city. Be aware that their parking is valet parking only.

We stayed for five nights on a little vacation. When we booked it, it said it was in city centre. But is actually about 2 kilometres from Old Quebec. However, it is in a trendy area with lots of trendy shops and restaurants. We took a Hop-On Hop off tour and one of the bus stops was a three minute walk. So all is good. Breakfast was extra at about $35 for two and parking is $25 per day.

Hotel, staff, and restaurant were great. Even got a goodie bag for being a BW member. Just be careful with businesses around the hotel. If you pay in USD they will probably rip you off by not giving you the correct conversion to CAD.

Excellent hotel, clean and great staff! Staff communicated in both French and English. Easy access from the highway. There are several restaurants in the vicinity as well good shopping. Taxi rides into the old city were less than $10. The hotel was recently renovated, so everything is new.

This hotel has no parking what so ever. Was required to turn over keys to valet or to find a public parking ramp. No breakfast included. Place was overrun with tour busses and we could hardly get in. Room itself was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful., but hard to believe this is a BW??

Best hotel stay ever. Kind, helpful staff. Clean, quiet room, great bathroom. It's a bit of a walk to old town but easy to taxi. Breakfast buffet was really good and all the staff was great. Quebec was a wonderful vacation, this hotel only made my trip better.

Was going to give it 4 points, but give it 5 because I got a great deal with Priceline on this hotel, and the city is quite expensive (as expensive as NY city in fact). The only negative part is the location. Prepare to walk 20-30 min or more to the Old city attractions. If you want to go to waterfalls, it is just couple blocks away, and you take 800 bus, and it take 30min. The room was 4 star US standards, solid furniture, 40 inch TV with many english channels, free decent speed internet. Overall spotless, except the location. Would highly recommend.

Loved this Best Western. The location allowed us to walk to everything we wanted to do. The staff was helpful with directions and ideas for places to see and places to eat. We would stay here again on our next visit to Quebec.

I enjoyed our short stay here, it was quiet, rooms were spacious with comfy beds and all the amenities you would expect. Bathrooms were clean and big. Staff were efficient. Located close to Old Quebec/Mount Royal it has good access and has lots of restaurants/bars/cafes/stores close by.

Steps away from major highways in and out of Quebec City, located downtown just down the hill from Old Quebec. Great wine bar and close to many restaurants. Definitely my first choice for business as it's in the opposite direction to any traffic.

The Best Western City Centre in Quebec City was in a great location, clean and offered an excellent restaurant with great staff and food. We were able to walk to the historical area, Plains of Abraham, river etc.

We drove up from Toronto but a 8 hr drive turned into 10+ hr drive thanks to all the traffic headed towards QC as it was a big holiday weekend for the French. We got in pretty late but the check in was smooth & the girls at the desk were helpful & friendly. We put our car in valet parking which though expensive was convenient....most hotels in Canada charge extra for parking which is strange but we had to do it as we were booked for 3 nights in June. The girls at the desk handed us a little basket of biscuits, I think. Anyhow our room was fairly big with a very comfortable bed & a decent sized bathroom. The hotel is not in the historic quarter but not very far either.....probably a 15 min walk uphill which we did not attempt as this was almost at the end of our month+ long trip in Canada. Secondly it was pouring right from morning to late afternoon on our first day in Quebec. We had breakfast at the hotel as it was raining quite hard....food was nice but expensive. The bus stop is a 5/7 min walk from the hotel....we took the bus to the historic centre only once....after that we used taxis to & fro which is much more convenient. There are lots of restaurants nearby for dinner. We used our car to visit the falls next day, the island across the bridge & the black currant vineyards. Since we had valet parking we didn't have to bother with getting or parking the car ourselves. We used the hot tub once....the pool & gym area is nice but the jacuzzi was small & in need of an upgrade. QC beautiful & en enjoyed our stay here.

Very nice hotel, a bit pricey for location. Great staff at check in very clean and modern rooms. Located in non-touristy part of Quebec City. Nice restaurant and Cafe on premises. Beds are very comfortable and great pillows. We stayed here before our cruise and it is pretty close to pier. In the morning Uber will charge you about $10 for ride

I stayed one night (passing through) at this hotel and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service experience. Being an English speaking family, I was a tad worried how we would be received. The gentleman that checked us in was fabulous. I`m not sure if the room was upgraded but it was a pleasant surprise to have a big room. There wasn`t much of a view from our room. The front desk gave us a map and helped us navigate to Le Vieux Quebec. We walked there in the morning before checking out, however it was further than I thought, but a good walk. We didn`t eat at the hotel, but did use the valet parking. Although the valet people were very nice, the valet parking lot is not secured. My husband had to return to the car and asked where he could find it and was directed to a dark open parking lot area. The parking was extra. I would stay here again, mainly for price and great service but keep in mind the extra parking fee if you have a car.

Just an overnight stay in this hotel. It was a bit outdated inside but very comfortable. We had a nice big room with big bed but no view to speak of. There was concierge parking service and the staff were very nice. We didn't eat at the restaurant.

Helpful. They explained all about the room and hotel. Gave us a map of the area and helped us with directions. The room and bathroom were clean and neat but the room needs a new carpet and the bathroom needs a new tub. Caring, when they found out that it was Deb's birthday they delivered a box of chocolates and a card to our room. Nice people. The exterior is a bit tired and the interior is a bit shop worn.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the stay during my recent visit at this hotel. The staff were friendly. The rooms were extremely clean and well taken care of. Not to mention the location, which is great. Right dowtown, a t'en minutes walk from the train station.

Staff is EXCELLENT. Helpful from start to finish. Directions, find restraints even pulled up menus and translated those in French. Close to great restaurants. Hop on Hop off bus pickup close. Always greeted you when you came in. Room was lovely--clean, beds very comfortable.

This hotel is a bit dated = but people were nice and helpful. Hotel a bit away from "old Quebec" but decent restaurants, etc. within walking distance. Convent to tour bus for city tour. Within walking distance to The Market - nice experience. The hotel was quite acceptable - given price vs. some of the other hotels we checked out.

Nice location. it take around 20mins walk to the attractions. They have kindly staff with excellent service. My puppy love there so much. They have the continental breakfast, but it wasn't like the menu which posted it at the room. We enjoyed short stay.

I would not recommend this hotel. The rooms are too small and the bath towels the worst ever encountered. In contrast, the staff were pleasant and capableLocation is the primary assest in that you are reasonably close to downtown and the old city

Stayed at the Best Western while heading out to the East Coast on a road trip. Chose them as they are pet friendly. Nice property - even upgraded our room. Good location, but as we arrived late, didn't have time to take in all the Quebec City has to offer. There is a cafe attached to the hotel, but didn't have time to try it.

We went on September, the hotel is good is recognized global chain so it's guarantee of a nice and comfty hotel. Location is not quite good at all, it's about 20 - 25 minutes walking from old Quebec and another 10 more from low Quebec. If walking it's not and issue the it's a perfect hotel. Staff was very kind. Room was pretty big but a little bit weird distributed, but very comfortable. They put some kind of coffee automatic machine that works really fine.

Hotel is clean and best location we found for the price. Staff were all extremely helpful and courteous. Breakfast was good with lots of choice but no bacon - bacon is available if you ask but they don't tell you that anywhere. Valet parking is a money grab (car was probably 50 ft from the entrance) but very convenient. Walk-in shower was amazing but I don'y know how many rooms have that - we had a King room

Gym was a little cramped; not very spacious. Gym and pool hours were somewhat limited; from 7 am to 10. Staff were professional and helpful; friendly. Attentive, knowledgeable, they had guest recognition. Restaurant staff excellent. Rooms were clean, spacious, well-appointed. Nice cozy decor. Bedding very comfortable. A great stay!

This hotel is ideally locate, close active night life on the main cannel full of bars and restaurants. There are also plenty of other cullanary places nearby. The staff are very friendly, speak numerous languages, and are very helpful, standard rooms are a little tight, clean, no fridge and you have to share two irons on each floor. Overall a comfortable hotel with a great selection of breakfast.

After an excellent stay at the Best Western in downtown Ottawa, we were a little disappointed with its equivalent in Quebec City. The hotel has a strong 1970s feel about it and the paintwork could do with some updating. No breakfast is offered but can be purchased in the hotel's cafe or restaurant. There are lots of other restaurants in the area. A good location for transport links (buses, railway and coach station) but a longish uphill trek to the old city. Easiest way to get there is to take the number 1 bus to Gare Fluviale ($3.50) and then the short funicular ride ($3.00) to the historic area. There was some confusion with our bill (we were charged for a breakfast that we did not ask for or consume) and the receptionist was not particularly helpful in sorting it out.

We were greeted by a very helpful and polite desk clerk. Our car valet was an unexpected bonus and reasonable fee. Our room was lovely, very clean and comfortable bed. It was about a mile walk to Old City Quebec but lots to look at on the way. Room rates were affordable. Everyone on the staff we encountered were helpful and pleasant. We left a day early because the weather wasn't cooperating but we hope to come back.

We stayed here in August 2017 The staff is very friendly and quite helpful and fluently bi-lingual We used the valet service and found it quite well organized and efficient, there are two restaurants in the hotel. One is more like a coffee shop similar to a Starbucks but with better food, both in quality and choice. The rooms were more than adequate with extremely comfortable beds and bedding. The only drawback for us, was the fairly significant and uphill walk to the old city/citadel. Although obviously it is downhill upon your return. The hotel was more than helpful in offering advice on places to eat and getting a taxi

We booked this hotel for a stop over on our way home from the east coast. The hotel was about a 15 minute walk to old Quebec with some hills(the cab ride was about $15 with tip). The valet service and check in staff were excellent to deal with and very professional. Our room was huge with two double beds(only thing I would prefer would be a queen) with lots of room for all four of us. We didn't eat at the restaurant it was a little pricey but rather ate in old Quebec at a patisserie.

This hotel was outstanding. All staff were so friendly and helpful. Everyone from valet service to cleaning staff. Easy check in and check out. The restaurant was excellent. Outstanding breakfast buffet and we had dinner there one night. Food was great and service was even better. We chose to take a taxi to old Quebec City and it was cheaper than paying for parking there. Great value for your money! Would definitely return!

It is close to concert and the reason we choose this hotel. I found it very expensive for the location. I usually stay closer to Old Quebec but since we were going to the concert at the Videotron it was closer and easier to get to.

We had been to Quebec and absolutely loved this hotel, its right in the heart of the city and walking distance to the Old City. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is a good spread and value for money. There are multiple shops and restaurants in the vicinity where you can eat however a good thing would be to check the closing time of the restaurants as we found many restaurants that close by 10 pm.

Hotel is located at a walking distance from the train station, Xmas market as well as the port and the old town. Friendly staff, clean and cozy room. They served meals as well durin my stay and i had xmas dinner here. Lovely diner with a very good ambiance and knowledgeable staff.

As a Best Western rewards member and a regular at Best Western Hotels I was very surprised to find out we would not be receiving the complimentary breakfast during our stay. At check-in we were told we would not be receiving the breakfast as we has booked with booking.com. I was surprised. Firstly I did try to book directly with the hotel but got rerouted to a reservation service which must have been booking.com. I have 2 young kids and to be honest I stay at these hotels because of the breakfasts. Its easier in the morning when kids are hungry to just go downstairs, The hotel was $300 for the night and the rooms were not as spacious as other Best Westerns and the floor in the room itself was tile. Not so comfortable to walk around on. To add to this the bottom of the swimming pool felt like it had a film on it. Totally gross. The elevators are tiny and there are no stairs so you can just walk up to your room. This makes for longer waiting times as people with bags take up all of the space in the elevator. I would not recommend this place to families.

Downtown location within walking distance to historic Quebec. Restaurants amenities close. Valet parking at $25.00 per day plus tip is ok as is convenient. Deposit charge to credit card of $150.00 seems unusual for BW members. It was deducted from bill at checkout however hotel generates interest income for the days you are a guest and a couple of days after checkout before funds are credited back to your card account, over a year serious funds for the hotel. Seems a bit cheap to me. Next visit we will probably choose a BW outside the city as driving and parking in the city is reasonable. No complimentary breakfast here which is a much appreciated part of our BW experience.

Our stay was great! We were greeted and settled into the area right away. The hotel was situated close to the metro and was conveniently located near main streets that you could walk maximum of 10-16 mins to both upper and lower old Quebec!

the room was really clean and pretty good looking and comfy. everything was working.The staff was friendly and very polite. We received a welcome gift and the receptionist answered all my questions and give us some directions and information of the neighborhood.

Our family enjoyed another great stay at the BW Plus City Centre in Quebec. Staff and restaurant personnel were exceptional. Great location just a short walk outside the walled city. We are definitely coming back.

Hotels in Quebec City are expensive. This Best Western is close enough to the old city to walk, but it's still a 15-20 minute walk (all uphill the way there; all downhill the way back). Only valet parking available here, so add $25 / day if you have a car. Our room happened to be large, and the double queens were as comfy as a more expensive hotel. Staff is young but nice. Still, it's definitely a family place, so don't go looking for nuance or luxury here. Restaurant on premises but there are a variety of places (some funky, some upscale) a block away on Rue St Joseph.

We chose this hotel because of its location, being described as right outside the walls of Old Quebec City. It was actually a bit of a hike (up) to the city. The hotel is centrally located to the city in general with a lot of amenities close by. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The pool was much smaller than it looked in the pictures (only 10 bathers in the pool at a time). Also, it had a lot of chlorine in it (eyes were burning),Yet the walls and floor of the pool was slimy, suggesting a lack of maintenance. We have stayed in a variety of hotels and found the price point of this hotel high for what it was. Service and food in the restaurant was excellent.

So I waited for the last minute to book a hotel in Quebec and the higher priced ones were all that was left, figures ok we would suck it up and be a little extravagant. They offer military discount but still was over $200 /night. For the cost this was not at all worth it. Bed was comfy and nice but room was small and basic. Alarm clock went off at 4am, and again at 5am. Tried to unplug it but it had a battery back up. No USB charge stations (at this price I expect something a little more updated). Elevators take forever, cleaning staff don't use service elevators for their carts instead use guest elevators which means anyone with luggage can't share the elevator. Valet parking avail and there is a cheaper option but nobody seems to know where that is and the roads are one way so yiu have to drive around the block to figure it out. Just pay the $25 for valet it's not worth the aggravation. Ordered eggs Benny at the Bistro (medium poached) and white were super runny, they gave me a discount. I will plan better next time to ensure we will not be staying there again.

We had a pleasant stay here for three nights during our Ontario vacation this summer, driving here from Montreal on our way to Ottowa. The room is decorated in a very French style (ebony furniture) which I liked. Comfortable clean beds. Lovely bathroom with bath and shower. A little faded but perfectly clean. We appreciated the crockery mugs for the coffee and tea. Shame only whitener and not UHT milk pods. We thought the pool strange because we couldn't find a changing area and realised this was why we saw people emerging from the lifts in swimming costumes and flip flops! We ate in the restaurant on our last night and had a very pleasant meal. Excellent service from Vincent. Very professional attentive service. All the staff were friendly & helpful. I wish the TV in the main areas was showing a longer film rather than short clips on a rolling loop. The hotel is close to the city and everywhere can be walked to. I would not take the hop on hop off bus which is the worst I've ever experienced. There are better ways to see this beautiful city.

There was some bugs in the room ( i believe bed bug) which bite us over night and we woke up with rash and itchy marks all day basically ruined the weekend . we found some small black bug walking on the wall next morning , i took video and picture of the bug and our rashes and showed it to reception after checkout , she took my phone and showed it to her manager then came back and told me this is not bedbug. i said i don't what is it , i just want to make sure you don't rent this room to anyone before kill the bugs , she said we can offer you free breakfast i said thanks i don't want to stay a minute more here

I stayed here for three nights in July. The great thing about this hotel was is that is .75 miles from the old town. However, it is a walk up hill. We walked it once but took our car afterwards. Parking was 18.00 for the day by the harbor and 40.00 all day in the center of the old town. The rooms were very large and new and has a coffee maker in the room. There is a restaurant in the hotel but it is expensive for breakfast. (40.00-50.00) for two people, the hotel also charges 25.00 a day for parking, this just ticks me off. I would stay here again because it was much cheaper ham the hotels in the center of town.

My husband and I were travelling around Canada by train. Most of what I have to say about this hotel is good, there was just one or two minor things. First, the good things - It is only about a 15 minute walk to the train station; it's about a 15 minute walk to the old town; there are shops and restaurants nearby; the rooms are spacious; there is a fridge and a very good coffee maker in the room, the supplies of which were replenished every day; there was a good swimming pool. The bed was comfortable and the room was large and spacious and clean. The bathroom also had a bath, which was a bonus. The staff were very nice. Also, it is a quiet hotel. So all of that was very good. The two minor points i had were, firstly, there are two lifts. They both worked the first day we arrived, but the remaining few days, only one of them worked. A lot of people who stay here seem to use those large valet things on wheels to take their bags up and down to their rooms when arriving and leaving. This meant that the one remaining lift was regularly full. I don't know why the other lift wasn't fixed. It may not have been the fault of the hotel, maybe they were waiting for it to be repaired. But it was annoying. The staff seemed to use that lift as well, when cleaning the rooms etc. The other thing, is that we stayed in four cities and in better hotels, like the Sheraton, and this hotel was the most expensive of them all. Also, it was the only hotel that did not include breakfast so it was even more expensive. Of the hotels we stayed in on our trip, a Sheraton, a Hilton, and a Holiday Inn, in various cities, this Best Western was the most expensive, the only one without breakfast and probably our least favourite. Having said that, would we stay there again? Probably yes, due to its location, but I would check out other hotels with pools also. There was a music festival in Quebec when we were there so that may be why it was a bit more expensive. Also, Quebec may be expensive for hotels, I'm not sure. We chose this one as it had the pool, was near the train station and the old city.

The hotel is clean, friendly and close but not too close to th hustle and bustle of the city. Excellent restaurants are within walking distance as well as the Old City. Try pountineville, it's a positive experience

Firstly I cannot believe that this Hotel currently charges 250.00 per person per night to stay during the month of July. I stayed there for a few nights during the winter and it was about 90.00. I have seen winter rates at this Hotel as low as 69.00 per night in recent years. Anyway-I thought this Hotel was very amateurish when I stayed there this last time-at one point a Hotel employee behind the front desk read half of my credit card number out loud to me (and to anyone else who was in the Hotel lobby) when I approached the front desk to ask a question. There was an issue when I was there with some homeless guy in tattered clothes hassling some of the Hotel guests as they were leaving the Hotel. I saw this guy at one point when I was just about to exit the Hotel one evening- the guy was behaving strangely outside an exit door-making weird gestures-so I went to the front desk and mentioned it. The front desk then called the Police. Apparently the Hotel had no security cameras covering its major exits/entrances-so the Hotel then sent the Police to my room to ask me questions about the homeless guys behavior. When I later said to the Hotel Management I thought that sending a cop to my Hotel room was bringing more to the situation than what was required-the Hotel responded with the stunning statement "I know you are scared." I quite honestly was not. I thought the way the Hotel handled the incident wasn't very professional. Any Best Western Hotel in a city should have a top of the line video surveillance system covering all major exits. Its just common sense. The Hotel was definitely trying to make more of the 'situation' than there was where I was concerned. I would never stay there again and I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone.

We enjoyed our two nights at this hotel on the last leg of our Quebec road trip. It wasn't our first choice (that was fully booked) but I was very happy with our stay. We were upgraded to a Business room which was a nice surprise on check in. Room was spacious with great quality furnishings and spotlessly clean. Also very quiet. Great to have a fridge. The hotel is situated about a 15-20 minute walk from the old city, but that is fine. We walked everywhere - not sure you'd want to do that in the winter! The area surrounding the hotel is very trendy with interesting shops and restaurants nearby. Nice to be away from the tourist crowds as it was a super busy time with the tall ship festival. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location of the hotel was convenient for visiting Quebec City. We were about a one block walk from the nearest hop-on hop-off bus stop which took us all around the city. We also left Quebec City by train and the station was only a few minutes away by cab. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The shower in the bathroom was huge and gave you the choice of a rain shower from above or a shower from the fixture on the wall. The staff at the hotel was excellent. They were extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel restaurant was outstanding.

We just stayed one night and did not get to explore the hotel overall , but we were happy with our room as well as the location and the hotel service. We would stay again. We had our dog with us and they gave her a little gift and provided information regarding parks nearby and were very helpful and welcoming. There were plenty of places within walking distance, to eat and buy groceries and to sight see. The hotel offers valet parking for 25$, or you can park in one of the many nearby parking lots ( they provided a map with many that were less expensive) It is also possible to park at a meter - which we did . This might not work for everyone but we were driving to our sight seeing destination and we had an early start the in the morning ( 8:00 am) , plus we were only there one night so the meter parking worked for us. Overnight meter parking is free from 9pm.

Overall a pleasant experience, bed comfortable, HDTV with enough channels. AC worked well. Breakfast buffet had many tasty choices and service was good. Huge walk-in shower in the room. No self park, valet parking only but attendants very polite and efficient. If in the area I would stay there again.

Being about a mile from the historic part of Quebec meant trekking uphill to get to where we wanted to visit. We chose this place because of price and availability at this time of year. However, what we thought would be, actually was a bit different. We pulled the car up to the curb and unloaded the bags only to learn that the hotel offered valet parking and that your car will be parked at one of 4 or 5 garages locally. We were told of some nearby garages, but not offered any specific locations. Downside to parking at a local garage is that you are charged every time you re-enter, so, valet parking had its advantages as you paid for the day, $25 Canadian. Check-in was a breeze and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They answered all the questions we had and made some helpful suggestions. We had no idea of the music festival that weekend, so this really got us jazzed up, so to speak. However, when we got our room card and entered the elevator, we were met with a distinctive musty small once the door opened. “Oh, you'll get use to this,” I commanded myself. Funny thing is that I did. Also, IMHO, this hotel could definitely use a renovation to upgrade its look to keep in step with the tastes and expectations of travelers, especially Millennials. There's a “darkness” to the hallway, wall sconces are a bit off-center, and dust can be seen along the floorboard and in the corners. Additionally, the ice machine didn't work on our floor! Room service was a lot to be desired, with an entire day missed for clean-up. The following day the domestic staff kept trying to access our room at 7:00 a.m. and repeatedly pushed on the door. I yelled out, “Not now,” but they simply either ignored or didn't understand English. Thank goodness we lock-up every night! Again the staff was great! Valet service for our car was prompt. And, on the next block is a convenience store that provides “room eats and drinks” at a price that is very reasonable. Funny thing is that unless I could get a room in the historic part of town, I'd stay here again. As I said, “no frills, but it filled the need.”

The price to stay at this hotel was better than most by a good 30% and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was a nice clean and comfy place to stay and represented very accurately on the Best Western website. We got what we were promised for sure, and it was all for a good price. Very helpful front desk.

The hotel is comfortable, clean, good beds, fridge and coffee/tea making facilities, in other words all expected guest amenities. The decore is dark and dated. There is off site valet parking. It is a 20-30 minute walk, depending on the route taken, to the old part of the city. When we stayed one lift was completely out of action and the other was pretty temperamental which resulted in long delays, but these things happen. Staff were very good and the room was well serviced during our stay.

I find most hotels near the Old City over-priced; but was glad that I made the choice to stay 2N at BW City Centre. On first look, you may find that the hotel is located away from the city action. Someone actually commented that there are no restaurants or shops nearby. This is entirely untrue. The city is made up of small blocks and is very walkable in most cases other than climbing the fortress. There are no lack of restaurants, pubs and street food within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. If you walk during the daytime, there is a shopping street across the hotel with very interesting retail shops. The new port and market are also an easy stroll which took us less than 30 minutes. Walking to the Old City could be tougher to reach from the hotel. I would recommend hopping onto a bus to get there as you can then save the energy to enjoy the Old City. If you are willing to pay the over-priced, staying closer to Old City would work for you. But I would much prefer value with substance and comfort. And also not to forget Quebec City is more than just the Old City! Coming back to BW, I am really impressed with the service at the front desk. They are all so professional, warm and they make you feel so welcomed! This contrasted sharply to the "lukewarm" response I got from a 4-star hotel I checked in at Old City. The bed was very comfortable and room I stayed in was very quiet. I didn't try their continental breakfast though. And given so much choices, why not explore the nearby street food? I found my favourite poutine just around the corner. Sometimes, you don't need to stay in 5-star hotel to enjoy the charm of the city.

The hotel is in a good location and a good walk from most of the activities in the city but very comfortable and the breakfast is first rate. The staff are very professional and attentive. i would recommend this hotel for a stay in Quebec City.

Staff were very helpful; so we took elevator while walking towards/from the old city, and did not have to walk the steep slope. Parking options were limited so we had to use valet; expensive but convenient.

This place might work for business visit but if you are looking to spend time in old city it does not work well. Hotel staff claims they are 15 minutes from old city but it really is not true. Going at a very very brisk pace, maybe you can reach old city boundaries in 15 minutes but realistically given the fact that you have to go up and down steep hills and maybe carrying something with you it's more of a 25-30 minute walk to the heart of old city. Which would be fine except that you still move for parking at the hotel than you would in old city and rooms are small. And the breakfast option they offer in the downstairs cafe is ridiculously expensive. The little bit of discount that you get here compared to old city just didn't feel worth it to us.

Good price. Easy to find. Got the breakfast included (enjoyed the breakfast buffet). Ate 1 night at hotel restaurant. Food was good. Centrally located, quick bus ride to Old Quebec. Would stay there again if going with family.

Overall we were not satisfied with this hotel in comparison to other Best Western locations that we've stayed at. The hotel was not as clean as it could've been. The carpet needs to be changed. Besides this, our worst experience was at the restaurant at dinner time. We went down at 7:30pm and we were told that they are full and the wait is 35 minutes. We decided to wait and made reservations. We were told to come back at 8:10pm. We were back at the restaurant at exactly 8:10. However, we were not served immediately. We were seated past 8:30pm. This was after we asked them how long it was going to take and the staff said "oh we're just setting up". Also, while we were waiting, another 2 couples came in and they were seated immediately. Anyway, when we went in, there were like 6 other empty tables!! So, it was not clear to us why it took them more than 20 minutes to seat us. Was it because we were there with 2 small kids?? As we were seated, we asked the server how long it will take to get the food. She said about 10-15 mins depending on what we order. So, we sat down and looked through the menu, which was a different menu than the one that was in the room! This was frustrating because we had already decided in our room what we wanted to order. Now we had to pick something else. Anyway, our kids at this point were getting very impatient while no one came to serve us. We decided that it was best to leave because who knows how long it will be before some one comes to get the order and then bring the food. When we got up to leave, the server came over and we said we're leaving. Her reply "ok, have a good night"!!!! She did not even bother to ask why or apologize for the delay. Nada!! We ended up going to a nearby restaurant and came back within 45 mins after having dinner, compared to wasting almost 1.5 hrs at the hotel restaurant.

Lately my Vacations have been city centers and especially with Best Westerns, I have never seen Dedication in Customer Service like this: the staff recommendations, the rooms tidiness, the comfort, the halls, the pools are busy as they should be! I travelled around the East Coast and I am ready to Explore the West Coast of Canada with Best Westerns.

It was well located for old Quebec tour and hotel was nice and quiet. Location was good to walk to attractions and there were a lot of eatery around. Service was excellent and I would definitely recommend to tourist to stay this hotel/

Great staff, excellent restaurant. Cafe with lounge was nice but a bit small. Great perks as Best Western members. Two for one drink coupon , bottled water. I liked that real glasses and mugs were in the rooms and real milk for the coffee was n the fridge. We walked into the old city which was about 20 minutes but lots to see along the way. Hop on Off bus stop was just a few blocks away from hotel. Very pleased..

Bloodstained sheets, weird stains on ceilings and walls, caused the electricity to go out in our room by using an iron and a hairdryer at the same time, rudely kicked out from pool at close, no lobby.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are helpful. The rooms have keurigs, fridges and are quite roomy. There are nearby restauraunts and old Quebec is a walkable distance. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is nice but the carpet needed replacement in the room and the walls could use a touch up. Antoine at the front desk was very helpful and nice. It is dog friendly, but...it is 2.5 blocks away from a green area where the pup can do his/her business. The hotel did give us a couple of treats for our Golden Retriever when we checked in. It does cost an extra $15/day for the pup. Parking is an extra $25/day for valet parking. You can park on the street but it costs and you worry. There are parking garages around but not convenient. The pool is nice. The hotel is a good 20 minute walk, uphill, to the old town area.

Extremely competitive rates, large, well appointed rooms and lots of amenties, professional and polite staff. Superb comfort yet prices comparable to other 2-3 stars in the vicinity. Can't ask for more!

Excellent service, rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable, less than 10 minutes by car to the old city centre. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travellers. Well priced for this hotel.

A friendly working staff complement a well kept, clean establishment just a kilometre from the historic centre of la vieille capital. The quality of the breakfast buffet was exceptional. Try the maple sauce on our pancakes. A winner on all counts!

I stayed at this location back in February then again last night because I was quite fond of it the first time. Staff was extremely friendly and well spoken. Clean, quite, a nice walk to the touristy area of Quebec. I normally don't write reviews but I am beyond impressed with this hotel, especially for the price. I will certainly be back!

First time to Quebec staff friendly and helpful excellent breakfast and nice little relaxing bar upstairs it was close to bus service the shower was large hotel was walking distance to a variety of little boutiques and bars

The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help us get settled. My dog loved his stay and the staff gave us a helpful map of the 3 closest parks to take our furry family member. He was so excited to meet other dogs and explore a bit of the city with us! A lot of dog friendly hotels are not very clean, but this hotel is VERY clean and well kept. Definitely recommended!!!

We had a wonderful time in the city and the hotel was so accommodating, the restaurant staff are very professional and they really make you feel in Europe, the food was great, the pool is adequate. The valet service is seamless and they really make sure your care is well parked in a safe location. Overall experience was perfect and we will be back again. Thank you

We found this hotel well located about 1 km from Old Quebec. Staff very friendly to assist with check in, directions, check out. The Deluxe room was well maintained, bed very comfortable. The restaurant, wine bar and coffee bar were also appreciated.

We had a great stay. Everything about the hotel, location and staff was great. We will definitely stay here again. The room was extremely clean, bathroom was large and in great condition, the bed was very, very comfortable.

Good spot to stay for a night or two in QC close to everything. Definitely try a beer and food at the post office where everything on the menu is 5 bucks! Music is a bit loud for talking but it's hopping every night!

We stayed here for one night on May 24th on our way to Montreal and were pleasantly surprised. This was a very nice hotel! Rooms were well appointed and included a fridge and robes, whereas many charge extra. This hotel is in an area that feels safe. Breakfast was not included. Nice pool area. Staff were great. Very elegant restaurant and food was good. Very comfortable bed and room.

Great cafe bistro, very comfortable room made this a good choice for exploring Quebec. Wish it was a little closer to the Old City but not a bad location. Staff were very friendly and answered all questions.

Checked in process was quick and easy, but I still don't understand why they have to charge us $400 from my credit card first and then said will deduce the amount of my stay and refund back to us of the balance. Yet in the end when I checked out, they charged me the exact amount when I booked on line. The breakfast that they provided was quite good and filling. Many choices for selection with hot and cold dishes. The waiters are very helpful and professional. Room size is reasonable and beds are comfortable. Our room located at the corner away from the vending machines and is facing the side street, so not too noisy. Housekeeping was fine but the bath towels needs to update, some of them are like rag cloths, thin and the edges have already worn out. Main problem is nothing in that area, just a small corner store next door. You need to walk or drive a few blocks in order to find some restaurants. We rented a car from Montreal, so getting around especially to the old town is not a problem. Parking is free in the evening from 9pm to 9 am for all meters, some areas you can park 2 hours free. Therefore we did not have to pay for any valet parking at all. Overall, I would recommend this property but would prefer to try other hotels in that area.

Nice clean comfortable rooms. Check in was fast , friendly staff. We did not use the hotel parking, we used another parking, 10 minutes walk. 12$ for this parking. Once we got checked in, we visited walking, so we did not need our car. The weather was perfect.

This is a good choice when you want to be close to the city but you're willing to walk to the main town. It's a hilly walk but pleasant to get to the old town. The on site dining is adequate but the pool area is tiny and the hot tub very small too. Parking using the valet is a good choice.

We had a wonderful three-night stay. First, the staff is exceptionally friendly, professional, and helpful. We had a minor problem in our room and maintenance was there to fix it immediately. The beds were very comfortable, the room a reasonable size, and I liked that housekeeping was optional - we could choose to have a full cleaning, or just new towels/garbage removal, or no cleaning at all. The location of the hotel is good, close to restaurants and shops, and not too far from Old Quebec. Valet parking was very convenient and includes in/out privileges--a big deal in this city! It's not a terribly long walk to Old Quebec, but be aware that the shortest route is uphill nearly all the way. I wished we could have stayed longer!

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at this hotel. The young lady who checked us in was very helpful and knowledgable. I found the valet parking was a bit pricey (25$ plus tax), but they did have an alternative less expensive underground parking that was only a couple minutes walk from the hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet, and the bed was super comfortable! It is a bit of a walk to Old Quebec and other attractions - but easy access to the highway. I would definitely recommend this property!

Two days wandering around Quebec sightseeing. Trip could have been improved if it had not rained one day. Friendly people everywhere. Streets clean - very little trash. Not much graffiti - program to encourage murals. The ability to walk is important as there are lots of uneven streets and sidewalks and lots of steps.

Location very convenient, pool area beautifully decorated. La 330 Bistro excellent. Short cab ride or longish walk to old town. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Pool area very nice but a little small.

Nice hotel, great value for the price you pay. The overall look of the floors is a little dated. the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The lobby area is nice and spacious. the restaurant area is very modern and the staff were very helpfull and very friendly. I would receommend this hotel to any body looking for a good hotel to stay at in Quebec City.

The room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. Its an older hotel but has been kept up well. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the Keurig Coffee maker was a nice touch, as was the fridge. Our view out the window was of a wall and a hallway in the hotel with very little natural light, but then all rooms can't have a great view. The hotel has a restaurant, but no free breakfast, ours was included as we were part of a bus tour. A glass of red wine can set you back $11.00. There is no free parking, but there is a valet service for a fee. Location was good and handy to many restaurants, drug stores and venders if you are looking for wine and beer. If you are able to walk, the old city is about 15 - 20 minutes away, and it well worth seeing. Over all this hotel presents as being reasonably good value for the dollar. The location was good, but no free breakfast and no free parking, took away some of it's charm. Those who are unable to communicate in French, should have no major issues here, the staff were very helpful.

We got a great deal on this place through Hotwire and was greatly surprised by the quality! The location is a little odd but there are some decent restaurants within walking distance along with a drug store in case you forgot the toothbrush. The beds were comfy, clean and nice sheets. The bathroom was spacious, clean and well equipped with shampoo/conditioner/lotion and hair dryer. The shower was wonderful with plenty of hot water. There was a mini-fridge in our room along with a Keurig style coffee maker but no microwave. The pool area was nice with a small hot tub (4person). Do be careful though because the tile floor is extremely slippery when wet(personal experience). There is also a nice coffee shop just off the lobby with great morning pastries. We never ate at the restaurant. Valet parking was $25CAD a day and they were very prompt when retrieving the car...less than 10 minutes. Overall a nice stay.

First of all, we got a really good deal from priceline, so with the money we paid for, we can't expect much. Location: It's a good 15-20 mins uphill scenic walk to old town Quebec. During day time, it was a very nice walk, we stopped by different coffee shops, grocer on Rue St Jean. We enjoyed the walk very much, The walk back to the hotel at night was a different story, the streets were dark and quiet, so we were kind of worried. Also, who wants to take such a long walk after a long day of sightseeing? Parking: Valet parking at hotel is expensive ($30). Ask the front desk staff for alternatives, they will provide you a map with nearby cheaper parking. We parked at Rochester ($12 for 24 hours with in and out privilege), which is a short 5 mins walk from hotel. Room & Hotel: We got room at floor 8, facing the inside. Spacious room, new and clean. The hallway look old though. Our room did not include breakfast. There are many good restaurants nearby. We had the best poutine at Poutineville, which is 5 mins away from hotel. Overall it was a good stay for the money we paid for. Of course there are many nicer and closer hotels in Old Town, but it probably cost double or triple of what we paid. Should we go back to Quebec City, we don't mind staying at this hotel again for the $$$.

Stayed here for our trip to Quebec. It is located about a mile out of Old Quebec City. The rate was wonderful, great value - definitely book the breakfast rate. The breakfast buffet was great. Many healthy options as well as a hot foods like little meat pies, scrambled eggs, baked beans, and there was a "homemade maple syrup" for the french toast. Rooms were neat and clean. Bed were very comfy!

We stayed for three nights with our two adult daughters, and were pleased to be given two interconnecting rooms with a double and twin beds. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had useful facilities like a fridge, coffee machine, hairdryer and safe. The hotel also has a small swimming pool and gym. We opted for the breakfast inclusive deal which was good value, and the buffet was very good. The hotel itself is around a mile from the main sights of Quebec, and the city is hilly to walk around. If you go to the southern end of rue de la Couronne there is a free elevator which takes out some of the climbing. Our favourite excursion was to the Chute Montmorency, a spectacular waterfall. You take bus 800 which goes from round the corner from the hotel, all the way to the top of the waterfall. There's a shortage of really good restaurants near the hotel. Our favourite was Bati Bassak, at 125 St Joseph East, around ten minutes walk away. It does excellent Thai/Cambodian food, but most nights you need to book. After being turned away one evening, we ate in the hotel restaurant. The food was fine but it lacked atmosphere, with the TV screens still flashing away.

We decided at the last minute to stop in Quebec City on a drive through the province and found a good deal online. Pleased with the hotel. Restaurant was a nice surprise for supper and for breakfast. Very happy with this stay.

Good hotel for its price and location. The room is a little old. Service is acceptable. It's no problem that the valet parking guy adjust my seat, but he should NOT store the seat position into Memory 1 which had my setting, without my permission.

Hmm, where should I start? Well, as the name of the place might tell you, this hotel is conveniently located in the center of the city so it's very convenient to see the major attractions even if you don't bring your own vehicle. The room is very spacious and nice, the level of service is excellent, and overall, it's really worth every penny I paid for. Definitely recommended!

Wonderful experience at this Best Western. Clean, quiet, well-appointed rooms with exceptional staff catering to our every need. Exceptional breakfast buffet too. The location is about a 20 minute walk to the center of Quebec City. The neighborhood has some interesting restaurants too.

Very good hotel, true to its reputation. Helpful staff, not overly friendly. Excellent buffet breakfast at a cost. Clean, affordable, nice (overly chlorinated) inside pool. Very kid friendly, and that's why we keep choosing the Best Western. The big let down was the paid parking. There is parking across the hotel but we were told we couldn't park there because it belonged to a library. However, cars there in the evening were still there in the morning. Because we did not want any trouble, we paid for the valet parking. They also keep $ 100.00 in case of damage to the room but you can use that money to pay for the breakfast and any other expenses incurred during the stay. You get back whatever is left via a credit on the credit card used.

We needed a place for a quick weekend stay while visiting someone in Quebec City. Found this hotel offering a ridiculously great deal at $107/night (for a Saturday night at that). I was really curious as to what a Best Western in downtown Quebec City would seeing that there is a lot of competition with charming boutique hotels. We were pleasantly surprised to find a top notch full-service hotel with swimming pool, restaurant and wine bar / coffee shop. The coffee at that shop is excellent, btw. The room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean. The two queen beds set-up was "face to face" instead of side by side which made the room feel less stuffy and cramped than the usual hotel room layout. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. We didn't try the breakfast but we probably will the next time that we are in town. Check out was a breeze and the staff were extremely polite and pleasant. All in all a great experience. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to visit Quebec City. The hotel is situated near St Joseph Street where you find many of the recent and interesting shops and restaurants.

We are here for 3 nights and are loving it! Our room is on the second floor and is very spacious and nice! There is a fridge, big flat screen TV, and a Kuerig! The bed is really comfortable too. The hotel is located downtown and is close to a lot of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The pool area is nice, as is the restaurant. We will be returning!

Our experience at this hotel was very positive. Clean spacious rooms, friendly staff. Valet parking was extra, but worth every penny. Check in and check out was easy. Staff were very helpful with suggestions for the local area. Access from the lobby was great.

The counter staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean. Many food options around the area. We travelled with very young kids and it was very doable. The swimming pool was good, but not recommended for kids. There are a few steps they can play on, other that that, it's over 1.1 metres deep. The location is great. It is about a 10-15 minutes walk from Old Quebec City.

Have to say what a great hotel! Clean well organized with friendly efficient staff, and for being busy as it was very quiet. The rooms were super comfortable too. Definitely our choice for our next visit!

In walking distance to Old Quebec. Very friendly staff. My only complaint was that, due to the fact I used my points on the stay, the hotel did not cover our breakfast. I really think if you earned points then it should cover a full stay. Best Western normally always covers breakfast. Overall was a great experience though.

My assistant booked me here for a business trip and boy was I upset when I got my bill at the end of the stay. I stayed 7 days, and I had 4 different rates on the bill. I had nights at $140, 175, 200 and 250+ on the weekend. Never experienced that anywhere else. The front desk had nothing but excuses. The hotel needs a facelift if it's going to charge those rates. The room are ok, and the location is fine, but for that price I can go elsewhere.

The hotel is OK, no complaints about location, very satisfied with staff with no complaints about any one with whom we interacted, quite surprised at the $24 per night for parking (was offered a lower price inside the old city).
