"Clean room - bad WiFi"

11/07/2018

The hotel is difficult to find and even more difficult to get back on the road. It is about 20 minutes from the Old Town but the hotel does provide at no cost, two morning and two afternoon, shuttles. So you are not close to the action unless you want to go to the aquarium, which is close. There is an expensive restaurant on the property. Breakfast was not included with our room, and know meals in the restaurant are not inexpensive here. The room was ok. The bed was great. The bathroom was small. They had the cheapest TV package so FOX News and many premium channels were not available. The internet service was awful the two days I was there. Know there are alternative dinning venues within walking distance of the property. All said, I likely won't stay here again.

Simon_Marinier, General Manager at Best Western Premier Hotel l'Aristocrate, responded to this review
Bonjour woodmister, Thank you very much for taking the time to write us your appreciation about our hotel. We are please to know that you liked the bed and your room as well. We do apologies for the inconvenience cause by the WIFI. We know that internet service is really important and we have Internet support 24/7. Do not hesitate to call us while you are on site so we can do something to solve the problem directly. The breakfast is not included but it cost 12$+tx at the restaurant to get a choices of excellent a la carte breakfast. The grocery store located at the back of the hotel can be useful too. Thank you for your recommendation and we will wait the pleasure to welcome you again. Best Regards

What a great hotel! Very modern - the rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is situated about 20 minutes outside of Quebec City - but offers a free shuttle to and from. We were travelling in an RV - and there is parking available to accommodate out 30 ft ride. I would highly recommend!

"Lovely room, hard to beat!"

Lovely place, we stayed in the Kingsize plus room with jaccuzi bath which was so relaxing. A table with two armchairs, often not the case, but a must in my opinion as this adds to the comfort. Many places just have 1 chair and the other person has to sit on the bed. Lovely decor and very clean and ultra modern. The room also had a balcony. The only negative I would say is it's location next to a busy freeway and road. The place itself however is beautiful and also has a free shuttle twice a day there and back to Quebec City.

Simon_Marinier, General Manager at Best Western Premier Hotel l'Aristocrate, responded to this review
Dear Angela T., Thank you for choosing our hotel for your last visit and for taking the time to write us your comments. "Great Location--Super friendly and helpful staff"

4
01/07/2018

Great location if you are visiting Quebec! The hotel is located in a nice suburban area right off of major roads & about 10 min from the airport--a very convenient location. You can drive into the Old City, take a local bus (one block from the hotel) or during the summer season the hotel offers a FREE shuttle (2X a day) into the city. The bike trail into the city is also very close by--so you can bike into town. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance as well as a grocery store. The hotel is a little bit older--but has been refurbished and the rooms are nice. The hotel restaurant is quite nice--we didn't eat dinner there but enjoyed two gourmet breakfasts--absolutely delicious (the hotel gave us a 15%) off coupon for the restaurant. We also had a fridge--and free water bottles and delicious coffee in our room .The front desk staff were incredibly helpful--and friendly. We asked them tons of questions and they cheerfully answered every one. They gave us directions/instructions on using the local bus to get into town, dining suggestions, and instructions to drive to a nearby mall (very upscale). The room rate was significantly less than staying in the Old City and with the transportation options, the local dining options and the super friendly staff--we were extremely happy with our choice to stay at the Best Western--would definitely stay again.

"Easy access to highways, looks amazing"

24/06/2018

Check in was fast and efficient as was check out. Ample parking. Rooms and lobby area look recently renovated. In room fridge (great for those on road trips). Bed was comfortable but fridge made some odd noises- more noticeable at night when all is quiet. (we should have said something about the noise but didn't get around to it) The restaurant has a great reputation. Ate dinner there the last visit and it was fantastic- sadly, didn't eat there this time. We booked directly on the BW website and got good value (weeknight).

"Great hotel when visiting Quebec City"

20/06/2018

Great hotel to use when visiting Quebec City as it is convenient to the bridge over the St. Lawrence and to major highways. Great value for money and a great restaurant. The hotel is quiet with comfortable updated rooms. Lots of shopping within 10 minute drive. Our favourite place to stay in this city.

"Close to airport"

19/06/2018

The hotel is a very clean and modern facility convenient to the airport. My room was clean and comfortable although a bit small. The exercise room is well equipped but the pool was empty. The attached restaurant has a diverse menu but it is expensive for a Best Western. The bar is tiny. Overall a very pleasant hotel.

Simon_Marinier, General Manager at Best Western Premier Hotel l'Aristocrate, responded to this review

"Beautiful hotel"

19/06/2018

Just an absolutely beautiful hotel inside and out. If you can, book a room on the second floor with a balcony. You can see the 2 Quebec bridges and it is just a really pretty view. The restaurant is very fancy and the food is very good and very unique. For father's day it was very busy with people from outside the hotel. The room was very cozy, and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were the BEST I have ever slept on!!! Highly recommend this place!

"The only place we stay in Quèbec City "

05/06/2018

I've been to this hotel over 10 times and it gets better every time. I brought my wife here for the first time and she was totally blown away by every aspect of this hotel. The staff here is outstanding. Every single person we've dealt with here has been friendly and helpful. They've even ordered food for us in French since we don't speak the language. That is “super service”. The rooms are always big and spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are always fresh and clean. The water here is probably the best we've ever had at any hotel. The sink water is fresh and clean. And the shower pressure is phenomenal. The best shower we've ever used in any hotel. And there are plenty of shopping and dining options close to the hotel. And the old city is about 15 minutes from the hotel by car. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Quèbec City

31/05/2018

Our 4 day long week end get away in Quebec City was enhanced by our staying at this fine hotel. it is modern, well kept, clean with friendly & knowledgeable staff. Only one issue. The unsafe shower enclosure. Lack of non slip floor covering and no hand holds or grab bars can only mean the tiny soap dish protruding from the wall will soon be snapped off when the occupant slips and falls.

Simon_Marinier, General Manager at Best Western Premier Hotel l'Aristocrate, responded to this review

"Here's What We Found"

4
31/05/2018

As Diamond members with this chain, we choose this hotel because of its rating and location. We weren't disappointed with either but did find some other items that we questioned. It's a "Premier" class of BW so it is very clean with great service and great staff. On the other hand we found the room we had to be on the smallish side even though we were upgraded. The bathroom did not have a lot of space for your stuff so much of it had to be kept outside of the bath near the coffee maker. However, the bed was comfortable and the TV and internet worked as expected. The Rain Shower was a nice touch. Surprisingly, they do not have a coffee bar for a quick cup on the way out as do the standard and Plus Best Westerns. More than likely they want you to have a breakfast in the on site restaurant. We did not dine there but hear it is lovely. It's about a 15 minute drive to all the attractions of Old Town and Veronica at the front desk was very helpful in the way she assisted us to navigate and dine in the area. She handled multiple situations with other guests with a skill set that is rare today. Bottom line is that you will get a good nights rest here along with good service from a caring staff.

Simon_Marinier, General Manager at Best Western Premier Hotel l'Aristocrate, responded to this review
Bonjour, Thank you for your great comment regarding the shower rain and the staff will be happy to read you. It is very meaningful for all our team members. This hotel is located near a Highway and residential area. Very easy access to the Highway and easy walk to restaurants near by. The hotel is very clean and only has 2 floors. the hotel offers a choice of rooms with or without balconies on the 2nd floor. The price is adequate for the region and the staff are just fantastic. I will definitely go back there again.

"BEST WESTERN...BEST BED!"

4
20/03/2018

I've stayed at many hotels and can honestly say I found this the most comfortable king bed I've ever slept on...including my own! The hotel offers clean, modern rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The bathroom has no tub, however the spacious shower offers beautiful tile and a large rainshower head During our 4 night stay the room was always meticulously cleaned, bed made, and amenities replaced upon our return. Our room on the second floor also had a lovely balcony, however the -15 outdoor temps prevented us from using it. I noticed many people reviewing this hotel found the rooms noisy and I would have to agree. The noise comes in through the door not so much through the walls. If someone is in the hallway you can hear every sound, but an easy fix for the hotel would be to put weather stripping around the doors to make the rooms quieter. Located close to shops, restaurants, and approx 20 mins from Historic Quebec City, this hotel is an excellent choice for travelers. It offers great value with free parking, wifi and unlimited Keurig coffee/tea in the lobby 24 hrs/day. If you're planning on visiting Quebec City make sure to check-in to the Premiere Hotel l'Aristocrate!

Stayed for 3 nights in February whilst my son competed in a competition. Excellent hotel that is very central to everything. Staff were excellent, especially the front desk. I only speak a few words of French, but the staff had excellent English and were always willing to take the time to explain things or answer questions. Room was very good and up to date. There is a small Metro grocery store just behind the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

28/02/2018

This is by far my favorite hotel in Canada. It's a beautiful place and the price is always fair. The staff goes above and beyond every time I stay here. Estelle is always wonderful when I'm here. She called me a taxi and communicated with the cab company in French because I don't speak the language. And she also wrote me dialogue to give to the driver to get to my location. She also called in a take out order for me and it was delivered to my room. She is the best. Always a phenomenal stay at a fair price. Best Best Western ever

"Impressive Rooms"

08/02/2018

A last minute booking as I got a snowstorm just outside of Quebec City. Staff was very friendly on check in and check out especially in giving driving directions. The room fixtures were very modern and impressive. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel has a very nice fitness room as well. The room had a very nice 42" LG flat screen although the number of sport channels was lacking. The major issue was the dining room prices were out of my range and I would say most families. As well the room had no fridge or microwave. The good news is there is a Metro just behind the hotel and a couple of affordable restaurants near by

Very good hotel. It is as comfortable as the one in downtown Quebec-city, but is way cheaper. Nice staff, clean rooms, absolutely quite electric heating. Stayed for New Years eve. Good proximity to get to Old Quebec City, and just up the road from the Aquarium. Typical, clean hotel room Restaurant was a bit high end for the hotel, so we had to go elsewhere for our meals, and bought snacks for the room.

Very nice hotel - comfortable rooms, perfect size for 2 persons, very clean and well equipped. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful, the same as any other hotel staff. Although breakfast is not included in the room rate, prices are reasonable and food is very tasty. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant, but I assume it's equally good. Hotel is located outside the Québec Old Town, but honestly it's not problematic at all. You can still take your car and park in the centre, I believe that in summer hotel offers a shuttle, alternatively there's always a taxi.

03/12/2017

Although I booked this hotel on my aeroplan points it's still still a great deal for the price per night (as I checked on travel sites$109/night on hotels.com). The personal at reception were super nice, accommodating and efficient. Our room on the second floor was clean, good size and modern. The bathroom had shampoo soap lotion which smelled nice. (I've been to some hotels and there is nothing which is a pain if you are just staying for a couple of nights) There was a coffee maker, tea and wine glasses. Wifi was fast. We had an amazing Sunday brunch at the hotel downstairs with great staff. Brunch was reasonable, fancy, decadent with fresh juice and delicious cafe au lait. Super friendly staff and accommodating. Our room had one double bed and one queen bed. we had a view of the back parking lot which was fine as the view in the front is not any better. It's a great hotel for an overnight stay if you are passing through for a weekend. I must say that I really liked this hotel. The hotel was a 20 minute uber ride to Grande Allee for dinner and drinks. About $16-17 ride each way. Uber drivers were great too!

I recommend this hotel for people who have business in Ste-Foy. It's also close to the airport and a major shopping district, and about 25 minutes to le Vieux-Québec. There is public transit nearby and there's a good restaurant and bar in the hotel. Rates are very reasonable and service is courteous.

I have been staying there over the past six years and have never had one complaint. Everyone who works there care about their clients. I will and have highly recommended this hotel. The last 2 times I was there were for my father's death and now recently for my mother's passing. The employees had the greatest compassion for my loss.

Very Convenient, quiet, free parking. The rooms all have a nice decor. The beds are super comfortable. I wish they would have better cable channels though. My room had a great shower head. Rooms are on the small side, but for a business traveller or even a couple, it's just right.

18/10/2017

Stayed at the Best Western Premier earlier this summer. The hotel is impeccably maintained and the staff so friendly and helpful. It is easily located from the highway and there are many wonderful restaurants close by, as well as their own on premise. Our room was ultra modern and squeaky clean. We actually extended our stay to take advantage of the free shuttle into Québec City. I had occasion to call the hotel on my return home with a question and the receptionist was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend; and if/when I am back in the area would stay again. Merci !!

This hotel was beautiful and gracious beyond expectations. Our balcony room held a surprise as one evening we sat there to enjoy Fireworks in the distance honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Quebec Bridge - a beautiful view. The accompanying restaurant served French exquisite cuisine with a flair with lovely hospitality from an excellent starr.

16/10/2017

The hotel is beautifully decorated and comfortable. I very much liked the bath products and great shower pressure. It is not too far from the city centre (if you have a car, you should be able to drive there). The receptionist recommended a parking garage by the ferry terminal, which sounded expensive, so we opted to park in a different spot by the battlefields and walk to the Vieux Québec from there. We had a lovely stay and would not hesitate booking there again. I would not recommend the restaurant for breakfast - the options are very limited (no à la carte options!) and they involve duck fat and other similar items. We asked for the Continental option with no pork and eggs instead, and were charged $8 extra ($2 per egg!). The grilled baguette came dripping with butter and the fruit consisted of exactly three minuscule pieces (a thin slice of mango, a cube of watermelon, and a cube of honeydew melon). It is a lovely restaurant and the service was impeccable though, but it is not for the health-conscious and certainly not for vegetarians. There is an Italian restaurant across that might be better. We will be back though during the warm months when we can get breakfast elsewhere. Otherwise, everything was great!

12/10/2017

Two night stay during October 2017. Very pleasing hotel with a convenient location for a 20 min drive to the city. A shuttle bus available too which was most helpful. Staff are bilingual and communication was swift and easy. The rooms are very clean and well-appointed. The bed linen is very soft and lush adding to an excellent two night's of rest. Other guest noise was minimal. Overall, a most excellent hotel with great service. Recommended.

"Nice and Clean"

10/10/2017

The hotel was pretty on point! Room was modern. sheets were clean and of higher quality. Bathroom was great with the exception of space-definitely a more European feel as it was a bit tight with limited counter space, but clean and modern nonetheless! The non-carpeted floors were a real plus in the cleanliness department as well. It was easy to find as it's right off the highway and very close to the Quebec aquarium. Family of four-great stay!

Stayed at this hotel on September 29th for 1 night in room 121. Room was exceptionally clean. Bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at any hotel. Internet worked great. I didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that. Check in was quick with very friendly service. There is not many restaurants nearby the hotel but there is a Metro grocery store one street behind it where you can buy beer and wine. Will stay again.

27/09/2017

my sister and i checked in for one night and planned on staying in quebec city the next night--the front desk staff was always more than helpful, and suggested that rather than pay more money and pay for parking they have a complimentary shuttle and it has 2 runs in the morning and 2 late afternoon and evening- then they upgraded to a balcony room. Breakfast is not included ,, which for me has been a staple at Best Western. We did have one breakfast there and it was delicious. our room was wonderful and clean--but every front desk person gave me another reason to stay at the best western should i go back to quebec

The staff was helpful & responsive. The only issue we had was somethings in the room were dusty( curtains & door lock). When we closed the curtains, dusty flew a bit. The hotel overall was updated. The rain shower was amazing! Very deceiving from the outside of the building. Very nice inside.

Great location, quick access with free shuttle service to Old Quebec, close to a great shopping mall as well as many nice restaurants in the immediate area. Friendly staff in a newly renovated hotel. Décor is modern and overall very clean establishment. Great exterior pool with great sundeck. Close to shops and restaurant, it is only 20 minutes from the "Old Town". Internet is strong and they have a "business centre" with fax/photocopy machine. Beds were comfortable and there is a grocery store located 2 minutes away (walking).

It's not the Ritz but it will not kill your wallet. Nicely appointed and modern, great staff, some rooms with balcony overlooking the bridges, perfectly located for quick access to highways, highly rated restaurant "La Fenouillere" on site, quiet and the list goes on and on. 12/09/2017

I was very pleased with my decision to book a one-night stay for my family and I at the end of August based on other reviews on TripAdvisor. My experience just add to all the positive reviews I read online. Special mention to Veronique at the front desk. She is very welcoming/pleasant and did I say speaks French, English, Portuguese and Spanish fluently? She made us feel at home immediately and accommodated our request - the little things that make a big different for some. The beds were very comfortable - the pillows to die for. The hotel is located near a few restaurants and a grocery shop. Though a short drive off the highway, we couldn't hear any sound from the cars. We stayed for only one night but based solely on our experience in this hotel, we will stay longer next time to also enjoy more of what La belle province has to offer. You can give Veronique all the praise for making our stay an enjoyable one as she set the tone from the time we checked in. Keep up to the good work Best Western Premier Hotel l'Aristocrate.

I waited from 5:55a.m to 6:20a..m 25 minutes to check out. The Front Desk person was away. There was a sign left at approx.5:45 a,m, Another person in the Lobby went back to their room to call the Front Desk in hopes someone would answer the phone. The Front Desk Staff returned with snacks for the Concession Area and apologized. I was efficiently check but missed the 10:45 am bus from Montreal, Canada to Boston, MA (USA). The next bus departed Montreal at 4:15p.m. I arrived at Boston's South Station at 11:35p.m.

The hotel was very nice, close to Aquarium for kids. A Metro express grocery store nearby for food. Comfortable, clean, not too far from downtown Quebec. Staff is very nice and helpful with trips, maps, parking locations. Coffee is available at lobby. Recommended for families.

"Nice hotel, shuttle to Old Quebec was convenient"

4
05/09/2017

Very pleased with this hotel. Front desk staff was very accommodating, providing suggestions for alternate restaurants, hop-on hop-off bus tours. Shuttle times to Vieux Quebec were very convenient, even though we had a rental car, by taking the shuttle we didn't need to worry about traffic or finding/paying for parking. We found the prices at the on-site restaurant to be over-priced and because we had the flexibility of a rental car, we chose restaurants on McGuire Avenue and Grand Allee for breakfast and dinner and found them much more reasonable.

"Good & comfortable"

Though quite a distance away from the core areas, this is a very good hotel. By far he best BEST WESTERN we have seen so far this year. Best part is the bed, its good to have a very comfortable bed after a long tiring day. Kudos to the management and owners of this hotel !

Nice hotel in an accessible location. Welcoming friendly staff made check in a pleasure. The queen size bed was comfortable and very clean. The shower is very nice. It is not a bathtub but a low threshold with a rain head and lots of pressure. Nice surprise.

"Close proximity to Quebec City"

5
28/08/2017

Hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant was rather pricey for Breakfast but there were other places to eat within walking distance. The shuttle that was provided did not run often especially in the evening hours. Local buses could be taken across the street for a small charge.

We spend 2 nights at the hotel. Service was good, the room was nice and clean. Internet works well. If you are travelling by car it's a nice place to stay, parking available and no more than 15 minutes by car to get downtown. You have some dinner options near by.

21/08/2017

We first visited the Aquarium, went up the hill to a cute restaurant than signed in to the Hotel Aristrocrate in Québec. Very nice and clean, heated swimming pool outside. Greeted nicely. The room had a king size bed with extremely comfortable pillows and mattress. The following day we were provided with a shuttle that took up to and from downtown Vieux Québec, we had a fantastic day. Thank you to all who made it possible

"Clean, friendly, handy."

5
17/08/2017

Hotel is clean, friendly, and handy. Staff was happy to speak English after they saw me struggling with French. And even if you can't speak a word of French, I'm sure they wouldn't get butt hurt. Room was very clean and stylish. Washroom was excellent. Location is close to the Quebec and LaPorte Bridges for easy access in and out of town. Quick cab or bus is all you need to get downtown to the good stuff. The immediate vicinity is pleasant, safe and residential. There are restaurants and a Metro grocery store less than a football field away: great for picking up beer and snacks for your room. Price is competitive.

"An affordable alternative for QC visit"

5
17/08/2017

I stayed in this hotel for 2-night during summer time. I selected this hotel due to its relatively cheap price and complimentary shuttle service to the old city during summer months. The earliest pick-up time is 8:15 AM and there are two more services in the morning. The return is at 4:15 or 6:15 PM. This service is not exclusive to this BW but for some other hotels outside QC as well. So if you don't want to spend extra living inside QC especially the old city area, this is a good alternative. You will miss the night hours using the complimentary shuttle but you can use the city bus for later return until 10:30PM. On the departure date, I did drive into QC in early morning hours and find parking around the pier area. The major hassle about driving inside the old city has to do with its narrow one-way streets but there are paid parking available. Other than having some confusion over additional $50 incidental approval, I found the stay to be pleasant and their staff very professional. The relatively smaller single-bed room size resembles what you would find in Europe but I have a king-bed. I also reserved a separate double-queen bed room for my family and its size is bigger. Everything is modern, very clean and functional. However I can hear guests in opposite door taking shower in the hallway because the bathroom is right next to the room entrance. The hotel has a small outdoor swimming pool close by the hotel entrance area. Unlike most BW establishments I visited, this hotel has an apparently upscale restaurant and the room stay does not include complimentary breakfast. So I do miss the usual bagel, bread, juice, coffee, etc that I accustomed to getting from other BW reservation. The hotel offers 15% discount for the restaurant but I did not use the service. At the back of the hotel there is a Metro supermarket and a popular restaurant serving family-style Italian food across the street.

"Great stay"

4
14/08/2017

Great rooms, great feel to the place, just off the highway and shuttles available for downtown Quebec City. Stayed here on the way back from an East Coast journey, found the booking process easy, bed comfortable, clean, modern. The restaurant attached was unexpectedly great (a little higher end than I would have expected for a BW).

"Decent stay"

4
14/08/2017

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will return there again in the future. The rooms are tidy and the staff were quite pleasant. The restaurant did not meet up tomorrow expectations. There were no serious issues with his hotel

"Courteous and clean"

5
13/08/2017

Staff very courteous and room very clean. Staff fully bilingual and very informed of things to do in city and surroundings. Hotel well located and free parking was welcomed. Easily accessible to network of roads in Quebec City. Spacious rooms and well decorated.

10/08/2017

Modern, clean, and comfortable. Great location too, despite being away from downtown. Right beside the highway but not loud. We stopped by the front desk a few times and they were always exceptional. Very helpful, professional, and we were impressed by their trilingual abilities.

"One night in Quebec City"

5
08/08/2017

Staffs extremely helpful, one of the best restaurant in town and close to many other restaurants. Very well located, only 15 minutes from Old Quebec. Rooms are very nice, mine had a balcony. I will go back again for sure.

"Great hotel...worth it"

5
08/08/2017

Spent 2 nights at this hotel. Nice and very clean place. Employees very nice and happy ready to serve you in French and English. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. Rooms spacious and nice shower. Heated outside pool and gym area. Approx. no more than 20 minutes from Old Quebec. We purchased the breakfast with our stay which is full breakfast and not continental breakfast. They have a shuttle that leaves the hotel at 8:15am, 9:45 am and 11am to bring you to Old QC and pick up at 4:15pm and 6:15pm to bring you back. We will definitely go back to this hotel. Very good place to stay.

"Super Nice Hotel for the Price"

5
07/08/2017

This is a very nice hotel, especially for the price. If I'm in this area again, I will definitely stay here. They offer a shuttle to the old part of Quebec City, and will hold your luggage on the day of checkout. So you can still use the shuttle on the last day of your stay.

"Eastern Holiday Quebec"

5
03/08/2017

This hotel is new and very clean and beautifully decorated. As usual BW employees were very friendly and helpful. In our case; we English speakers were treated very kindly and extra efforts were obvious to make sure we understood. The restaurant was very expensive and the breakfast menu was a little too "gourmet" and not enough regular or healthy.

"Cozy & modern"

5
01/08/2017

My wife, the kids and I stayed there for 1 night, and we had a relaxing time! The hotel was renovated in 2012, so it looks great. The photos they share here, and/or the ones on their website, can attest to that. Book a room next time you're in the Quebec City area and you'll thank yourself later.

Stopped with the family for a couple nights. Really liked the laminate flooring vs gross hotel carpet. The bathrooms were clean, updated and my kids loved the rain shower! The outdoor pool was very well landscaped with lots of sun. It's well located with just a 10 minute walk to the aquarium and a 20 minute into the old City. Wouldn't think twice about staying there again!

Nice room with view on the bridge if you ask. Access down town very easy. If you're looking for an hotel with an access to the bicycle road with cinic view of the St-Laurent river, everything is there! Grocery near by!

"Hotel stay in Quebec city"

3
29/07/2017

This hotel is in no way close to anything in the city. So much time was spent in travel - erratic bus schedules, undependable "free shuttle", standing and waiting. The word "good location" needs to be redefined. Nothing special about the rooms or services Must say though that the reception staff for the most part were helpful and there is a gem of a Pizzeria next door Will definitely not recommend to my friends or family

"Nice location but a little remote from downtown"

3
26/07/2017

The hotel is very clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom is very tiny with limited space to change or to place any clothing after you shower. The one main issue I had with the hotel is that there is no free continental breakfast/coffee provided. Now most hotels offer this to their guests but its likely because the hotel has a restaurant attached and they prefer to make a few extra $$. The location of the hotel is not within walking distance to a small coffee shop so it would seem appropriate to offer some form of breakfast free of charge to the customers. We stayed at the hotel during a very busy weekend and thought downtown Quebec city would be kinda close but it turned out to be a $28 cab ride each way. While its a nice hotel, I suggest there are better options much closer to the old city at the same price.

"Excellent hotel"

26/07/2017

Excellent hotel. Clean rooms, very comfortable beds. Fantastic and helpful staff. Restaurant opens at 7:00 for breakfast which I find a little too late. The food is good though. Would greatly benefit having the pool indoors as Quebec city's summers are a little shorts.

"Overslept!"

5
25/07/2017

The beds in this hotel are so comfy, we overslept! We spent 2 nights here when we came to see the Tall Ships. We were given a warm welcome by the front desk staff. Our room was spotless and well appointed and as mentioned the bed was perfect for us, and our room was quiet. I have mobility issues, and I found the doors a little narrow, I could only just squeeze my walker through, neither were there any automatic door openers, inside the building that I could see. I believe there are rooms for people with disabilities, but one was not available. A grab bar in the shower would have been beneficial too. We dined in the hotel restaurant Le Fourniellier both nights and the service and food was delicious. We highly reccommend this hotel.

Bonjour Rosemary, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at our hotel. We are glad you enjoyed your comfy bed and the restaurant and we will bring the grab bar in the shower idea to our owners. We hope to see you again soon,

"A short drive from Old Quebec City"

20/07/2017

Our luggages and personal belongings were stolen in Montreal when we stopped over on the way to Quebec City and when the staff at this hotel learned about it, they offered us toiletries and snacks free of charge. The hotel itself was nice. It does not come with free breakfast but parking is free. There is a "fine dining" restaurant in the hotel that serves mediocre and super tiny portioned chef-prepared food not worth the "fine-dining" price of admission. No dress code which was nice but the food did not warrant the high price they charge. A small soup presented in a nice moderne' French serving was a whopping $20.00. My pork chop (small portion) was $35.00. A family of six dining here would easily spend $300CAD which would actually get me so much good food in Toronto's distillery district. Rooms were clean and the facility is beautiful. It's a short drive from Old Quebec City and a short walk to the Aquarium... a local attraction. Spend your dinner money elsewhere and avoid the "fancy" restaurant at this hotel. 4-stars for the hotel experience alone.

Excellent hotel with good value of money. There is shuttle bua free going to the old town which saves money and time. Overall we are quite satisfied with the hotel quality of service and amenities. We would come back to this hotel the next time we visit Quebec City.

"BEST Western Premium isn't so Premium"

3
20/07/2017

For the price you are spending and for the Premium logo, there is no complimentary breakfast which is pretty disappointing. Compared to a Best Western Plus, this hotel had limited English channels. When asking a question to a staff member, they walked away. The room we stay was nice and the bed was comfortable.

"Beautiful"

5
13/07/2017

Absolutely beautiful hotel. It looks like it was recently renovated. We loved the way it was decorated. The bathroom was gorgeous and had the Rain showerhead. The only complaint is the noise insulation. I could hear the person above us so I contacted the front desk and they immediately asked them to keep it down. We took Uber to the downtown Old Quebec and it cost about C$35 for a 20 minute trip each way. They do have a fancy restaurant on premises which offers a discount for guests staying at the hotel.

12/07/2017

Hotel nice - location great especially for a stop over - kids liked the pool and the fine dinig restaurant was very nice and accommodating to our 9 year old- avoid the room thats close to the restaurant vents - city side view- no balcony - second floor area. Try for front of hotel side - any room there -

"Absolutely!"

12/07/2017

We would absolutely stay here again. It is situated on the western edge of the city and is easily visible from the highway. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the ladies at the front desk. Their advice enabled us to make the most of a short time in the city. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Old Quebec that runs twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon. This feature alone made our visit most pleasant since we did not have to navigate an unfamiliar large city and find a precious parking space. The hotel was recently renovated and upgraded to Four Stars. Our room was very attractive and comfortable. We had a sliding door that led to our own private small patio where we could relax with a glass of wine (purchased at a very nearby grocery store). We were able to park right in front of our patio which made movement of our luggage easy. We dined in the attached restaurant for dinner and the morning before leaving for breakfast. We did not take advantage of the swimming pool or the exercise room. We felt that the room rate was most reasonable and have recommended the hotel to friends and family planning visits to Quebec.

09/07/2017

We have stayed here numerous times. We have come to enjoy the approximately ten minute drive into the old city by either the riverside drive,or along the road that becomes Grand Allee. The rooms are clean and very well maintained. The restaurant is very good, although we only go there for breakfast. We enjoy driving into the very nearby section of Sillery ,which has several restaurants and a nice little Main Street. We like the Hotel L'Aristocrate and stay there frequently.

"Excellent and affordable hotel In QC City "

03/07/2017

We recently stayed at this hotel for our trip to Quebec City. The Best Western Premier Hotel Aristocrate is a fine hotel to stay. The pros: This hotel is affordable, the rooms are clean, and the hotel is not noisy even if it is located near the bridges and major thoroughfares. We recommend to select rooms on the second floor, there is an elevator to facilitate access. The hotel is located near major and reputable restaurants, supermarket, and pharmacy. It is very conveniently located and all of these facilities are located within walking distance of the hotel. Our room was spacious and very clean with a little fridge. Excellent choice of bath products. There is a nice little heated swimming pool outside but we could not enjoy it because of the bad weather. We had a rain shower stall and the bathroom was very clean. Confortable bed and clean and comfy linens. The cons: We experienced the lack of ventilation in the bathroom and the lack of reliability of the wifi ( free wifi). We would suggest to equip the rooms with modern Nespresso coffee makers. But the pros greatly outweigh the cons and we recommended this hotel. You will need a car to drive to touristic Old Quebec or you can use the hotel shuttle. The parking is free and you can enjoy the famous restaurant La Fenouillere located inside the hotel. We strongly recommend this hotel for the excellent quality/ price ratio!

"Average hotel a little far from Old Quebec"

3
03/07/2017

The hotel has all the basic amenities and is close to transit. There are a few restaurants that are walkable and a couple of grocery stores are also close. The hotel has a shuttle but is not a very convenient schedule.

Spent 2 nights during the St Jean Baptiste weekend. Although a busy weekend we felt thoroughly pampered from beginning to end. Check in experience, great. Receptionist mapped our route to a particular restaurant. Sunday evening we needed an amenity and the receptionist went out of her way to obtain it. Best to last --- No carpets! Exceptionally clean room. Pillows amazing. Quiet! Close to Aquarium! Too cold to use the pool. It it looked great!

Nice Hotel, best night sleep I had in Hotel. Restaurant was expensive. Room was clean and staff very professional. Pool was nice and warm. Don't know why I didn't get a room with balcony, since exact same price and I asked for it :-(

"Good but far from downtown"

25/06/2017

Hotel is up to 4*standard. But driving there is quite challenging for out of town visitors. Quebec City overall is better not to drive. No kidding. Roads are narrow and there r so many freeways to enter in and out. We nearly went nuts.

"Excellent Hotel"

21/06/2017

Excellent hotel for the Quebec City area. Although about 30 minutes outside of Old Quebec, free shuttle service is available on a limited basis, and the public bus stops right in front of the hotel. A taxi ride from the hotel to Old Quebec cost approximately $30. Very nice restaurant on site and other restaurants and shopping centers are within a short drive.

Staid in this hotel for one night on business trip. Main reason of schussing this hotel was amazing ratting. Unfortunately reality was not what you would expect. I am not saying hotel is bad, but it does not look like 4,5 rating hotel. Rooms in first floor are facing directly parking, rooms are clean, but pretty dark. Sound cancelation are not the best and you can hear who is living other floor. In general, in such price range i saw better option.

Bonjour ViktorasZ, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am sorry that the ambiance did not meet all your expectations. "Would definitely stay here again"

02/06/2017

We booked for 2 nights in April 2017. The room was newly renovated, and there were no odd or overpowering smells and it was impeccable. The restaurant had a decent breakfast, quite tasty but with limited choices. There are some other breakfast options nearby within walking distance. Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. There are a few restaurants in the area but it is easier to access with a car. Also the access to this hotel is a bit convoluted. If you're not familiar with the area you may want to have a GPS. All in all, an excellent stay and I would return there if I was travelling to the city again.

This is on the nicer category of the Best Western hotels (Premier) and it definitely feels a little more higher class than most Best Western. It is not a 5 star fancy schmancy hotel, but it is very clean, the staff is very friendly, it is close to a main artery highway, and you have everything you could need/want from the hotel. It is probably closer to 4 stars than 5...but because of the price and what you get for it, i'd bump it up to 5 star without any hesitation. Highly recommended!

"Great hotel -a bit out of town"

4
23/05/2017

I chose this hotel because it was handy for the motorway (it's literally yards from one of the exits). It's an attractive 2 storey building where a lot of the 2nd storey rooms have balconies. I was given an upgrade to such a room looking out onto a fancy restaurant (Michaekangelos) and over a rail and road bridge (very alike the bridges over the River Forth in Scotland). The room was large and clean with a decent sized bathroom including a walk in shower. There wasn't much space for toiletries at the sink but otherwise great. I used the gym one day -equipment looks a bit dated and there isn't much there, but it's great for free. The pool is outdoor and was closed til summer. The staff were generally pleasant and friendly. I found the free wifi temperamental and it would often drop -sometime several times in a couple of minutes. But it's free. I didn't try the on-site restaurant. For me, the menu was pricey and the choice pretty limited. There are other options nearby (I loved La Piazzetta which is a 2 minute walk). However don't expect US style cheap eats just because these restaurants are gathered around a group of hotels. I would recommend this hotel to friends and would stay here again if in Quebec.

Very comfortable bed.Check-in are at 3pm, we arrived at 1:45pm & our room was already ---great because we had to eat supper early because of the concert 20 minutes away. Hotel was away from heavy traffic (great)--enough parking space at the hotel.

Wonderful staff and a very nice hotel. If you're on a family trip, it's best in summer (the pool is seasonal). The Aquarium is close but it's a little far from other tourist venues. We didn't use the restaurant - it's very well known and highly rated - but we were looking for more 'family' level fare. I would recommend it to business people and foodies. The area has good highway/road access. Less good for walking to tourist attractions.

Very nice hotel. I got an upgrade to a room with balcony because I'm a Platinum with Best Western. The room was small but really nice und the balcony great. No noise even with busy road in front of the hotel. Rooms have fridge so I could bring my own breakfast, because there ist no free breakfast included. Bed was very comfortable. Distance to city center appr. 8 Miles, but never to much traffic. Street Parking was plenty around the Parliament for CAN$6 for 4 hours. Would come back.

11/11/2016

A colleague stays at this hotel once or twice a year because of its proximity to the airport as well as our clientele. I only booked it because he always stays there and we were traveling together. It was an overall good experience. The room looked almost brand new, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the entire hotel was very clean and well maintained. My only issue was that after a business dinner I was looking forward to spending time alone and watching the Stanley Cup playoffs, but my TV wasn't working. The woman at the front desk found a missing wire and a wrong setting and fixed it in no time at all. I would certainly recommend it if out are staying in the area, however, it is sort of in the middle of nowhere. There's a Metro grocery store, a diner, and a few other shops just across the street and then it's pretty isolated if you don have a car.

10/11/2016

When traveling to Quebec City, the question of where to stay overnight rarely comes up. L'Aristocrate always comes to mind first. It is our favorite hotel in Quebec City, both in terms of quality and value. Over all the years we have stayed here, they never dropped the ball; quite an accomplishment. The recently refurbished rooms are impeccably clean, the beds are very comfortable and the personnel are always on top of things, friendly and attentive. The hotel's restaurant, La Fenouillère, is among the best in Quebec City and our European visitors were as delighted as we were with the food and the refined décor. Access to down-town Quebec is easy via Boulevard Champlain, which offers a splendid view of the St. Lawrence River, and the presence of Queen Mary 2 added a touch of excitement to our extended holiday. This hotel was fairly easy to find, thanks to our GPS. I am not a city person and what with my understanding of French being limited, the road directions being ONLY in French and traffic being extremely busy from Montreal to Quebec City - well, I am thankful for GPS and the driving skill of my husband! The hotel is clean, modern, and situated about 1/2 hour from the centre of town. There is a public (city) bus to downtown and there are SHUTTLE TOURS AVAILABLE which range in price and length. Tackling the parking downtown is Not for the 'faint-at-heart. Our room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet given its location ( it faced the bridges over river but river cannot be seen from here and there is a LOT of traffic in the area). The front desk staff were very helpful once we were able to communicate (tip: if the person does not understand / speak English very well, ask them if you can speak to someone else . They don't take offense when you do so with a smile and it makes for an easier experience all around). We arrived in time for dinner but after perusing the posted men and prices, decided to find dinner elsewhere. The front desk helped with that.

The holtel was very pleasant and comfortable. The front desk stuff was polite and helpful exceptionally. But the reason for writing this review is the sleep. We have been on a one month trip. Most of the days we slept in different hotels but in this hotel the bed was the most comfortable. I wish I had this mattress at home. If someone of the hotel's stuff reads this, please send me the specs and made of the mattress.

"A Modern Hotel with Access to the Old City"

20/10/2016

We stayed several days while touring Old Quebec City. The hotel had really modern decor which was a fun change for us. We enjoyed breakfast in the onsite restaurant. The food was really good, as was the service. The thing I most appreciated was the shuttle that went to Old Quebec City. It saved me driving on unfamiliar streets and trying to park the car where there is severely limited parking. That shuttle service was truly a blessing.

"Excellent choice for Quebec City"

Wonderful hotel in excellent location. Our room was incredible very modern and well decorated. The shower was to die for with it's rain showerhead. My Wife and I will be back for sure. The location is perfect if your traveling as you can be back on the major roads in just a few minutes.

I have stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights during a trip through Canada, I normally choose Hilton but I must say over the past years the Best Western group has really improved its quality and I have stayed in several really good ones. This Best Western is by far the best though. Located a bit outside downtown Québec you can easily get into the city by car or public transportation which already was a plus. The hotel has a very stylish interiour design and the rooms are also of a very modern and comfortable design. The beds are super comfy. Rooms to the back are a bit more quiet (although one still hears a bit the motorway but I think in a big city area you cant escape noise very well). Staff at the reception are extremely friendly and helpful (I had reserved a deluxe room but had stressed the noise issue and got an email a few days after my reservation suggesting I switch to the standard room instead - with a cheaper rate too ! - as these would be a bit less Noisy. This is what I call good service from the hotel management). The adjacent restaurant is top class for both food and service. If you consider a hotel not situated within the city center this Best Western is certainly a great option)

Lovely hotel, modern decor with great atmosphere. Front desk staff are welcoming and always ready to help out. Gorgeous rooms, all renovated with quality bedding. It felt like a much more expensive hotel. Definitely worth the 4-star rating. Some rooms have a view of both Quebec City bridges. The fall colours made it even more spectacular. We're going back for sure.

Nice, clean hotel with free parking right off the highway. We stayed here for a family vacation in October. It was walking distance to the aquarium and about a 10 minute drive to lower city. Breakfast was Not included in our room rate, but the restaurant connected to the hotel had great breakfast at a reasonable rate. Would stay again!

29/09/2016

The room was a king size bed and there was plenty of room for us. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and enjoyed it the 3 days we were there. The pool was closed for the season but it looked well kept. I would stay here again.

"A first class experience"

26/09/2016

This is an exceptional property--certainly a "premiere" Best Western (we always have good BW experiences). Very well maintained, very professional staff, very nice rooms. Well-located near key roads to attractions as well as a variety of restaurants (check out Pizzatta) and a grocery store and gas station. Would not hesitate to return here.

"Not what I expected"

24/09/2016

Lobby is nice. There were three staff people behind the counter, one helping a guest. I was left standing there waiting for a quite a bit to check in for no reason until that one staff member that was busy said to help me to the other two. Hallways were dark. The room had an odor like it was stuffy or the carpet needed replacing luckily I had a balcony so I opened the sliding door to get some fresh air. I didn't like the room it looked dated for a premier hotel. The bed was comfortable though. The bathroom was modern but hardly any room to put your toiletries. There is a free shuttle service from the hotel to the Fairmount. It makes a few stops along the way. I expected more from a premier property, it didn't do anything for me.

"Nice hotel but too far from Old Quebec City"

22/09/2016

This very modern Best Western hotel is located just north of the Pierre LaPorte Bridge and ideally located to the many highways for travelling around Quebec City. Personally it was just a bit too far from Old Quebec City. I must say that the hotel did offer a free shuttle bus service twice in the morning and returning later in the afternoon twice. The hotel itself offered a gym and outdoor pool and a dining room. The front desk staff were very professional and pleasant and also very knowledgeable of the whole City. The rooms were very modern and clean and offered a small fridge, coffe machine and microwave and the bathroom amenities were very nice. The beds were extremely comfortable and even though close to the highways it was very quiet. A Metro Grocery store is just behind the hotel where there was a full line of groceries or wine and beer and snacks for the room. We did not dine at the hotel so I can't comment on the food but I can say that we ordered 2 coffees in the dining room one morning and was shocked that firstly, the bill was $7.90 before tip and it was the worst tasting coffee (the coffee in our room was much better but we had run out that morning) ever and the waitress was not happy that we only wanted coffee. Overall our 2 days stay was very pleasant and the staff very accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Alexandra V, Director of Operations at BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel l'Aristocrate, responded to this review

21/09/2016

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the Quebec City area. Although it's not downtown, the old town only about 10-15 min away. They also offer a free shuttle. Rooms were well appointed, and the bathroom was very nice. TV was huge. The only downside was the we had asked for an accessible room with a balcony, and they gave us the one furthest from the elevator. We asked for (and received) another room, but the balcony was not accessible.

I have a rule when booking a hotel. Safe. Clean. Quiet. This hotel went above and beyond our expectations. We arrived by cab from the Port of Quebec to the hotel. The front desk was helpful and courteous. They locked up our luggage as it was to early to check in, then assisted us with booking a hop on, hop off bus tour. They have a free shuttle to the Old City of Quebec where we caught the RED tour. The shuttle returned us to our hotel that evening. The front desk called the cab company in advance for our 4am departure to the airport. It worked like clockwork. We could not have been happier.

19/09/2016

We just stayed one night as we were travelling between Nova Scotia and Toronto, but we intent to return and spend a few days exploring this city. The rooms was very modern and must have been updated recently as the bathroom had a great walk-in shower with rain head. There was a large desk in the room and a small refrigerator to keep items cool. The free internet was secure and very fast. We had the king size bed. it was very comfortable. We didn't try the restaurant at dinner as a gourmet experience was not what we were looking for after a long day on the road. The front desk did recommend an Italian restaurant just a block away.

"High quality affordable hotel with free parking"

16/09/2016

We truly enjoyed of four night stay. The hotel was recently upgaded as evidenced by modern bathroom fixtures and amenities. The room we stayed in was a king sized bed facing SE on the second floor. We had a balcony and sat out in the evening. Although situated near the Hwy 73 the hotel is on a bench and we could not hear any traffic noise so the hotel is very quiet with the sliding patio doors closed. The rooms were very clean, the lobby staff accommodated English very well and the staff are very helpful. One significant benefit is the daily free shuttle service to the old quarter. There was no need for a vehicle as the shuttle delivers you from the hotel to the main square in the old quarter immediately adjacent to the Frontenac. Very convenient and a good economic savings to be chauffeured to the heart of the old quarter. The onsite restaurant is four star but pricey. We ate out at several excellent restaurants within 100 m of the hotel. Additional there is a grocery store within 50 m of the hotel. We walked to the shopping district but it's a 5 minute drive with ample parking. A must try restaurant is the le Manior just across the street. The only knock is the absence of an "included" breakfast but the positives of the hotel are so much more than a $6 breakfast. We'd recommend this Best Western to family and friends; and rebook another stay without hesitation.

My family of three stayed here 4 nights at the end of August and we would return. Pros: The beds were very comfortable and the rooms clean. Only a few minutes drive down the road from the Aquarium. Two minute walk to local grocery store (Metro). Breakfast is not included so we ate in the room most mornings. Beautiful pool area. It looked small at first but it was really nice and even had a lifeguard one day. All the staff we dealt with were very pleasant. Shuttle bus to/from the old town - allow 30-40 mins since he stops at a variety of hotels. Close to major highways. 5/10 min drive to several restaurants. Cons: The tiny and badly laid out bathroom. It looks very stylish but there's no place to put toiletries and the shower splashes very easily around the glass partition. The rooms were small by North American standards, were much the same scale as European hotels. No breakfast included - that 15% coupon they give you for breakfast in the restaurant doesn't cut it. No on-site laundry facilities. In general, the Pros outweigh the Cons and I would stay here again without hesitation.

"WELL LOCATED"

12/09/2016

This hotel totally refurbished is located near the bridges (Pont Pierre-Laporte and Pont de Quebec). Very easy to reach downtown from the hotel by Laurier Blvd or Centre Videotron by Henry IV Highway. The room is pretty large with a very modern bathroom. Bed were comfortable - not too soft not too hard. Staff is very welcoming and good with the visitors. Pool is pretty small but very clean and warm. Hotel is quiet and not Noisy at all. We do not have any negative comments about the hotel if we except the parking which becomes full very fast. So if you drive there later at night, be ready to walk for at least 5 minutes to reach the main entrance of the hotel from your parking lot. The hotel is wheelchair accessible and they have rooms with roll-in showers but it is necessary to reserve it in advance as they just have a little number of rooms of this type. If you do not drive a car, I suggest you avoid this hotel as it is not located near Quebec City's attractions. Then you should be well advised to reserve a room somewhere else in the heart of the city. The prize of the room was pretty expensive for this kind of hotel but we consider that we were there in August on a Saturday night. There are many other hotels in the same area of Quebec City. Overall we recommend the hotel without hesitation even we consider it was pretty expensive for this kind of hotel.

from across the border and plan to visit Quebec City. You can park your car on the complimentary parking lot and take the shuttle to the Old City. We've stayed for 3N and our car was parked all that time while we tour/visit Quebec. No extra cost for the thrice in the morning shuttle to the City and at least one trip going back to the hotel. This hotel was more known to the locals as L' Aristocrate. Wi-fi included with the rates so with the outdoor swimming pool and the always open small gym.

What a beautiful, very clean suite. Could not find anything to complain about. No dust, stains, dirt or spider webs anywhere. Would highly recommend with very reasonable rates.

This hotel is easy to get to just off the bridge from 73N and Autoroute 20. The decor is very upscale. It is conveniently located near the highways to Quebec City and south to Aut 20. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again. There are many good small restaurants in the area so if the pricey hotel restaurant offerings are not to your liking then there are other options.

Staff are great, rooms are comfortable, parking is free. Conveniently located near the bridges and major shopping and entertainment in Ste Foy. Pleasant drive to downtown via Blvd Champlain. We had a king bed that was outstandingly comfortable, with cloud-like king-sized pillows to match. Room was a good size with amenities such a desk, leather chair with foot-rest and an HVAC system that was quiet and easy to control. There were real glasses for drinks and wine. The bathroom was on the small size with marginal shelf space for toiletries, make-up, etc, but lighting was great and the rain shower was amazing. Nice bath towels. staff are completely bi-lingual and very accommodating. We'll return.

31/08/2016

We reserved the room on the fly an hour away from the hotel, and were thankful they had a room. The GPS easily navigated to the front door. As we entered the lobby, I thought it was reminiscent of a modern European hotel. Checkout was completed successfully in English. We rode the elevator to our second floor room and negotiated the narrowish hallway, which again made us think of Europe. I was expecting a European size room by this time. The room was comfortable with very comfortable beds, lots of good pillows, great bedside lights, and a coffee maker. The bathroom was spotless with good water flow, and the shower--did I mention the shower? It had a rain shower head and you could stand under it for much longer than would be environmentally responsible. After surveying the amenities, it was time to turn the thermostat down, as it was a little warmer than we liked. BUT the thermostat only went as low as 20C. This was problematic for us. We like a cool bedroom, and 20C was not going to be comfortable to sleep. We called the desk to ask if there was a problem, and were told that this is the standard for the whole hotel. After emphasizing politely that we would not be able to sleep at this temperature, we were told that they would check with the engineer and call back. 20 minutes later, the room phone rang and we were told that our room was now set for 16C. We had a great sleep, made sure we turned the temperature back up when we didn't need it that low and checked out. During the evening, we drove to the Old City and wandered and had a bowl of onion soup that was hot and delicious, eaten outside while enjoying the soft evening, the street musicians and the strolling tourists. We love Quebec City and we would stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is easy to get to when driving and the reception area and staff is wonderful. The interior is a bit dark but very, very clean. The pool is handy and attractive; the fitness centre and business areas are easy to find. The rooms are very clean but a bit small for more than two people. Restaurant service was good and all staff were very friendly and helpful.

28/08/2016

We stayed there on our last night in Quebec City and wanted something close to the highway where we didn't have to pay for parking!! It was an expensive stay but it was rainy and we just wanted something cozy and comfortable. the room was nice and modern and the balcony faced the highway but noise was not an issue- the door was soundproof so traffic didn't keep us awake. Even though it was far from the perks of the city we were able to walk to a nice little pizza place and also get some groceries from a Metro just next door, all within 4 minutes walking distance. We ate on the balcony and had our own wine! We had breakfast the next day in the restaurant attached, nothing fancy but it hit the spot and was priced comparably to other breakfast restaurants. AC was fairly loud, but the only real big complaint is that since we really wanted to use a nice comfy bed and hotel to catch up on sleep before our drive home, the last thing you want is to be woken up at 8:30 by cleaning staff asking you when you're checking out. I found that to be a bit frustrating since we chose to settle the bill at the counter when we physically checked-out, so that morning there would have been no record of us checking out yet and therefore no need to knock on the door at 8:30am. Coffee maker in the morning was a little dated and it was just the packets instead of a real machine but other than that, the hotel itself gave us what we needed.

27/08/2016

The hotel and staff were all great the only complaint we had was that it was a little further out than we would like to have been. We took advantage of the free shuttle that the hotel offered but it only ran till 6 p.m. We found after spending all day in Quebec site seeing that it would have been nice to go back to the Hotel to freshen up and then back in to old quebec for supper (thought it was a bit to far to do this). We did enjoy a lovely meal in the Hotel's restaurant it was a fantastic meal but not meant for families which was a little surprising for a Hotel resturant. Over all we enjoyed our two night stay.

27/08/2016

This was our first visit to Quebec and we were looking for a place close to the old city but really were turned off by the prices there and the lack of parking. The Best Western fit our needs perfectly. Located right off the highways 175 and 73, it is a short 15 minute drive to the old city. Our room was well appointed with very comfortable beds, and well maintained. The entire staff was professional and very helpful. The pool and the fitness c room looked inviting, but because we really did not spend a lot of time on the grounds, we did not take advantage of either (too much to do and see in the city). We would've liked to have complementary breakfast, but a discount was available in the restaurant.

If you are traveling to the beautiful city of Quebec and are not looking to stay in the business center but still want to be close; stay here. This hotel is ideally located close to the old city with quick highway access to all points into and out of Quebec City. The hotel staff were very polite and made every effort to accommodate language barriers. The hotel's restaurant menu was limited, however if you like Italian just cross the street. I did not make use of the outdoor pool however it looked inviting.

11/08/2016

The folks are the front desk are beyond helpful and of course they speak English. The outdoor pool has a FT lifeguard there, which is not typical for hotel pools! The shuttle to downtown leaves at 3 different times in the morning and comes back at 4 and 6 pm in the afternoon. Definitely recommend taking it. I had a rental car, so was able to find Boulevard Champlain on the river just to the south of this hotel. Definitely recommend using that route to drive into/through Quebec City if you want to return for an evening dinner. All the rooms are nice, but we saw how nice the balcony rooms are, so we asked - and got - one our 2nd night there. Try to get one of those.

09/08/2016

Stayed for 2 nights during 1 month summer road trip. The pros: The facility looks nice and modern, very clean. Extremely helpful and accommodating front desk. The cons: Originally ordered 2 Quinn beds comfort room. The room is too small for a family. Was placed in a room with an electricity transformer few meters out of our window in the parking lot. Got headache. Asked to switch room, but had to spend there a night due to full capacity of the hotel. The day after switched room and added more 10 dollars to get premium room, much better for a family. The hotel located about 9 km from the old town, ok neighborhood, with few restaurants around. There is a shuttle to the old city from hotel (3 shuttles during morning hours) but it has very limited return time (only 18:00), we didn't use it. Also during the noon time there was traffic to the old city (maybe because it was weekend) it took about 20-25 minutes to reach the old city and hard to find parking. Small outdoor swimming pool, water were dirty with some dead insects inside, not really inviting. Small and basic but nice and clean fitness room. The hotel do not offer buffet breakfast, they provide you with 15% discount coupon to their restaurant. For the price (approximately 230 CAD per night including tax) considering the out of city location they should offer complimentary buffet breakfast. Probably it is better to pay an extra and stay in the old city of Quebec...

"Lovely but....."

Our family of 4 stayed here for one night on our way back from a Maritimes vacation. Pros: Hotel is beautiful and clean. Very sleek and modern looking. Very comfy beds. Outdoor pool area offers a nice spot to sit or swim. Staff are polite, courteous and efficient. Cons: Compared to other Best Westerns that we stayed in on our journey that had just as lovely, but maybe not so sleek looking rooms.....Here you pay more and got less.... Breakfast was not included. We paid a little more for the Signature room which was supposed to be bigger, however it wasn't any larger that the other Best Westerns rooms with 2 queen beds that we usually get. The washrooms although stunning to look at, lacked space for our toiletries on the counter and in the shower. Ventilation in the bathroom was poor, after we each had our showers our ceiling was soaked from condensation. ( our showers were less than 10 min each!) I understand that location reflects cost as we were 10-15km from Quebec City...however nice as this hotel was, extras that you could get in other Best Westerns came at a premium. A final note and this comment is directed to the corporate level...we were hoping to offset the cost of this hotel by using a $25 off coupon through our Best Western rewards. Unfortunately they email the coupon to you after 2-3 weeks of your last stay. As the coupon does have an expiry date on it for this year, it is useless to me as we are not travelling for the rest of the year after this summer.

"Spectacularly Clean Rooms"

09/08/2016

I've stayed at this hotel 6 times on different occasions and the experience is always the same! Fantastic hardwood/laminate floors in the rooms allow you to walk around barefoot and not feel gross about it. Linens and duvets are high thread quality and heavily bleached. Bathrooms are spotless. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values clean hotel rooms and needs something close to the #20 highway...easy on and off. Aquarium is just down the hill. Pricing seems high but the cleanliness of the room keeps me coming back.

"Nice choice, more affordable than in the down town core."

Stayed at this Best Western for 2 nights in August for a leisure trip to Quebec City. Hotel was fairly easy to find and parking is free and easy. Normally would prefer to stay in the heart of the city but cost for this weekend stay was too high so we stayed a bit further out at the Best Western. The stay was still not cheap, but had great amenities (free parking, free wifi, free shuttle to old town, pool, gym) and is close to the aquarium and highway. We used the pool one afternoon, small and somewhat heated. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon unwinding. We took the free shuttle to the old town - easy and quick and appreciated not having to worry about finding parking - only a few times for pick up and drop off which may not be convenience for some people. The hotel has a few restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance which was nice. We ate across the street at Le Manior (pasta place) and it was lovely. We visited the Montmorency Falls and the Sainte Anne Canyon during our stay both were easy to find and very touristy but well work a visit.

"Clean, comfortable and inviting."

Very courteous staff at a very clean, comfortable hotel. The beds were super comfortable and the decor of the rooms was very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was not far from Old Quebec City and fine dining in a safe area. Would highly recommend this lodging.

"Great choice when Visiting Quebec City"

04/08/2016

This hotel was a great choice for us. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The beds were comfortable and the rain-style shower was very nice-- especially for my very tall husband. We loved the hotel's location. It allowed us to experience a bit of Quebec as locals. Because breakfast was not included and the restaurant adjacent to the hotel was not appropriate for our children, every morning we ventured out into the hotel's neighborhood for breakfast. There is a Metro supermarket within a 3-minute walk from the hotel. There is a wonderful French-style Bakery--Au Palet D'Or-- within a 15-minute walk (see review).

"Very comfortable and clean"

I loved it here. Very comfortable and clean especially the bed and pillows (5 stars to that). Being Quebec City most people speak French but the staff at the reception were eager to help out in English. I give this upmost importance because as a tourist one cannot rely on French being the lesser spoken language worldwide. Free parking, pool (which I wish I had time to use), pretty central with a mall a few blocks away and one can easily drive to the main town. However no shuttle bus available which would have been a bonus to visit the main town without having to use our car, park etc. Fridge didn't work well either ... Wasn't cold enough!! Bathroom door was tricky to lock which never managed from the inside - the first time it locked itself from the outside. I was upset about this because what if someone had a child in there and the door locked itself creating a very panicky situation?! Must be reviewed!!

Great Hotel, great staff, great everything except no complimentary breakfast and breakfast was a little over priced with no to much food. Other than that, great hotel and close to everything. Easy access to Old Quebec. Just find a good place to park and your set. Hotel shuttle was very helpful.

Stayed here as a family of four for three nights. We used hotel as a base to travel and explore Quebec City area. Price was decent but a little high - understandable for tourist season. Rooms were very clean and I loved the wood floors instead of carpet. They were however a little cramped with the four of us as they are on the small side. The front desk staff were always friendly and courteous. We had breakfast one morning at the restaurant. It was a nice breakfast but important to note that it is not included in the room rate unless you book a package that includes breakfast. Overall a good hotel in a great location to access Valcartier, Old Quebec, Aquarium and shopping area.

We really enjoyed out stay here during a road trip from Toronto. The hotel has a modern outlook as you walk in, with courteous staff and easy parking options. The small outdoor pool is perfect to splash about during the summer months but unfortunately did not have the time to enjoy this amenity. The rooms similarly were clean, spacious and complete with chic interior designs. The bathrooms were well equipped and we found it comfortable overall as we travelled with our 2.5 yr old very spirited toddler! The location was fine, just a short drive away from the Old city center and located in a residential area. Did not eat at the restaurant. Would love to stay here again!

The hotel is outside of the city center but has courtesy bus service into Place d' armes where the Tourist center is located. The hotel decor is modern and very clean looking. But the best thing about the place is the front desk staff who were always so pleasant and accommodating. The Restaurant is expensive but the food is excellent and they did have a very good promotion for Hotel guests.

We LOVE the location of this hotel. Auto routes are easily accessible. The shuttle to Old Quebec is a wonderful service offered, even though we didn't take advantage of it during this stay. We enjoyed cycling along the river to Old Quebec and the paved bicycle path is very close to the hotel. We were thankful to be able to store our bicycles inside the hotel with the assistance of the front desk agents. We LOVED the walk-in shower and the overall decor of the room. The tree applique on the door was a great addition. We will definitely choose this Best Western again when visiting Quebec!

Already tired from a 7-hour drive coming from St. Andrews, NB, and just looking forward to a restful night prior to one more day's drive back to Toronto. And BW Premier exceeded it all. This hotel is 5-star from check-in, to room comfort and furnishings and location, including applying the Points Reward of U$50 (courtesy of Roger Michaude) towards our bill, as an adjustment against the hotel bill, two days post-stay at hotel. This hotel is very comfortable, reasonably priced and accommodating. When we arrived we checked into the hotel and were greeted by helpful staff. The room was small but cozy. Beds are very comfortable with a nice duvet cover and plush pillows. Very clean and modern! We were very pleased that they offer a free return shuttle to the Old city! The free coffee and tea was nice as well. The outdoor pool looked lovely but unfortunately the rain kept us indoors. Wish they had a hot tub so we could warm up after our day in the rain! I would definitely stay here again!

"Excellent out of town base for visiting Quebec City ......."

07/07/2016

You are 10k out of the centre here but the drive in to car park at city walls is a doddle and the hotel does provide a shuffle although this is limited in times of operation. That being said it is an excellent base to visit the city from. Your day can start withan excellent breakfast in the very plush restaurant - a French "fine dining" place in the evening, whatever that means! One small gripe is that as this is open to the public, even for breakfast, you can get a voucher from reception which gives you 15% resident reduction - if, however you forget to pick this up staff don't ask or remind you which seems a bit petty. The rooms are large, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Plenty of free car parking After your day wandering the streets of Quebec you can relax by the small but adequate outdoor pool. Staff were friendly - even to non-french speaking Englishman - very efficient and professional. Plenty of restaurants nearby - would recommend the Michael Angelo - pricey perhaps but a great experience and wonderful food. Oh, and the Aquarium is just some 500 yards away and worth a vist. Would recommend this place and if ever back will use again.

This is the first time I have stayed at a Best Western Premier. I was impressed with the lobby staff. We had a room with 2 queen beds. Although it was very nicely decorated, it was a little tight for me and my two children. Only real disappointment was that breakfast was not included. There is a shuttle to downtown but it only ran at 8:45 and 9:45am and returned at 6pm. This schedule did not fit into our plans so we drove in and it was only about a 15 minute drive. We enjoyed Le Manior across the street for dinner one night.

This hotel was located conveniently near the Pierre Laporte bridge - easy when arriving and leaving the city. The rooms were very clean & staff, helpful. The shuttle into Old Quebec was very convenient. However, the hotel should have a better way of judging the number using this service so an adequate number of buses will be provided. There are several good restaurants nearby; Le Manoir is excellent. The hotel restaurant has good ratings too, but is pricey. We enjoyed our stay here and will be back. The wifi is good, but could be more consistently reliable.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights as I was travelling on the way to/from Ottawa. The staff were friendly and spoke English (which I'm sometimes nervous about when travelling to Quebec) and the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. No carpet in the rooms which would be good for people with allergies. Parking is free and convenient. My only complaint is the quality of the wifi (it is free) but it was extremely slow and dropped often. I don't believe there was an option to pay for better/faster wifi, which I would have considered if it were offered. I would certainly stay here again but I hope the wifi issue is addressed.

Liked: Free WiFi, Free shuttle service to downtown Quebec City. Great water pressure in washroom. Great service (Reception and Housekeeping). Excellent Food at the Restaurant. Mini fridge in room. Disliked: No fan in washroom. Toilet backed up twice. The room was snug for four adults. Carpet old and stained. Noisy AC. The long narrow dark corridors to the room.

30/06/2016

This hotel is very nice in appearance, nicely decorated and the staff is top notch. The room was lovely but small which wouldn't be a problem if you weren't sleeping in the bed right next to the air conditioner. My friend took the other bed so I was directly next to the thing. It was freezing though my friend was comfortable in the other bed. The cold air was blowing right in my face. I woke up with a sore throat. The next night I blocked it with pillows which turned out better. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good. I tried hard to enjoy my stay but didn't because I froze the whole time. Also the refrigerator made an electronic noise in the night which sounded like a truck backing up. Fortunately, I found the switch which turned it off.

We stayed at the hotel en route to Toronto. The location was great - very close to the highway but an easy drive into the downtown area. The room was super clean and appeared to have been recently renovated. The bed was fabulous - so comfortable. The bathroom was great - everything was new and a wonderful free-standing shower. Breakfast wasn't included with our room but prices were reasonable, the food was good and the place was lovely. We're scheduled to stay here again on our trip home.

23/06/2016

On May 27th. We checked in at this location and it was the the worst Best Western we ever stayed at. They gave us a room next to the few other rooms that has theirs bachelor party that day! The front desk assured us that they had been warned and they won't make anymore noises. I was impressed how quiet it was until 3 o'clock in the morning there was screaming yelling... Until 6am. I told the front desk what happened. All she said (did you get up from your bed and reported it)! Then at that same moment I been told that the breakfast is not included! I asked to speak to the manager and he is not available she gave me his business card. Instead of asking her manager to call me and follow up!

Definitely the best Best Western I have stayed at, and probably in the top three of hotels I have stayed at ever (the other two being 5-star hotels paid for by someone with deeper pockets than mine). Clean, quiet, and very comfortable, with updated features throughout the room. Friendly bi-lingual staff was there to help me with whatever I needed. Location not optimal for seeing old Quebec city, but the bus is very conveniently located nearby. No breakfast? Wasn't a deal-breaker for me, anyway. My only complaint is the window AC unit - which is always a bit louder than central air, but this one was relatively quiet for a window AC unit.

The motel is relatively easy to access and the rooms were excellent. However, there was no complementary breakfast included and some of the staff seemed condescending and stuffy. We had booked this Hotel, but somehow got the date wrong (one day later) and the hotel was full. They assisted us in finding another place and let us use their wifi for our search. It was a long weekend so all the places were full. Thanks to the caring staff we found a solution. If this is how they treat people who have to cancel, the service for the staying customers must be great.

Great hotel and very helpful staff!! Veronique was so kind and helped us out so much! We did not want to stay in the "busy" part of Quebec City. Hotel is only 6 miles from city hall and a lovely drive to get there.

This hotel is in Ste Foy but is well worth staying at even though it is off the beaten path. Excellent rooms, professional staff, warm welcome! You have a really good restaurant annexed to the hotel and gourmet dinner is a few steps away.

The Aristocrate is easy to find once across the Pierre Laporte Bridge. The rates were very reasonable, nice dining room for breakfast. We also had a balcony - so - on a nice day a great place to read the paper and have a coffee before starting ones' day.

"A very nice place to stay near Quebec City"

08/05/2016

From check in to check out, the service was flawless and very courteous. The hotel is clean, quiet and well appointed. It's also conveniently located, easy to find close to the bridges from the south shore. On the downside, I'm not sure how the breakfast discount worked - upon reviewing my bill, I cannot find it. A very good touch and much appreciated was a rather nice little wooden chest conveniently located in the restaurant, containing an array of reading glasses, each labeled with its strength and each in its own container. That attention to detail is much appreciated. There is a well equipped fitness centre and an outdoor pool, empty at this time of the year.

"Very comfortable"

08/05/2016

Usually I do not sleep that well in hotels for a short stay but this time is was different. The bed and the pillows were so comfortable. The hotel has also a very good restaurant, the only negative point being that it opens late at 7h. The hotel is well located, near the shopping malls (by car) and the bridges. I will certainly return to this hotel.

This is the second time I've stayed at this Best Western and it has been a great experience each time. It's a beautiful hotel and it's very reasonably priced. And Estelle is absolutely wonderful. She helped me out so much when I was there and she even ordered food for me. That is going above and beyond. And the location is great. I will definitely be back again.

"Great hotel just outside of Quebec City"

17/04/2016

My wife and myself recently planned a weekend getaway to Quebec City. After looking for places to stay outside of the city we decided to try the Best Western Premier Aristocrat. We arrived at 1:30pm, which was well before the 3pm check-in time. The person at the front desk could not have been more professional and courteous. She promptly checked us in and also helped us plan our afternoon in Quebec City. The room was very clean but are a little on the small side. But this is really the not an issue. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a great night sleep. The hotel is about 10 minutes to downtown by car. Overall this is a good hotel for the price. Staff is very helpful and friendly, rooms are clean and the beds are great. The only issue we found is the noise from the hallway can be heard inside the room. So we kept our IPod on to help in that respect.

"Nice floors, good location, great sleep"

5
10/04/2016

The location is easy to access from the highway and is next door to a grocery store. Our room on the first floor had wood laminate floors with a few rugs. We liked this type of floor as the carpets in most hotels always feel dirty. This room felt so clean The heat in our room was on a separate system from the AC so there was no noisy fan when running the heat. In fact the room was very quiet and we slept well. The bathroom was a little small but well laid out. The water pressure was strong, hot water was nice and hot, and the shower was great. The TV had a selection of English and French stations. The room had fast internet and a comfortable work desk with rolling office chair. Lots of lights and lamps. On the floor was a food station that had free Nesspresso and Kureig coffee, along with some other snacks and drinks for sale. I'd stay here again.

This is a high quality hotel, located just on the outskirts of Quebec City. If you are not into the hustle and bustle and crowded streets of the downtown area, I highly recommend this location. It is only a 10 minute drive to major Quebec City attractions, and far enough away that you won;t get stuck in traffic getting to and from the hotel. This is one of my favorite Best Western Hotels

"Perfect for a quick stay"

22/02/2016

This was a quick business trip but I am happy to have tried this hotel. My only complaint was that there were not many in room meal options, other than that the stay was perfect. The staff had no issues speaking English and they were really very nice. Rooms were extremely clean and the showers were very relaxing waterfall style showers. This will be my new go to QC hotel.

18/02/2016

We were there for a weekend to browse QC and enjoy the amenities of this hotel. The first night we decided to have a drink at the bar and have dinner there, but they completely ignored us after having paid 35$ for a gulp of cognac and a drink. After that, they would not serve us anymore, so we decided to go next door and get some pizza which is a small walk away. Hotel was nice though and service was very friendly.

"Great Stay for family of 6"

4
10/02/2016

We checked in the day after staying at Hotel de Glace. What a change! The staff was really helpful with information about places to eat and how to get around Quebec City. They would take out a map and actually show you how to drive to each place. I really studied a lot of hotels, we needed 3 rooms with king beds and private bathrooms, that didn't cost a lot per room. This hotel fit all our expectations. The only thing they didn't have was complementary breakfast but they really nailed it on the other factors. The location was really great and with the help from the staff we got the hang of driving around. I would stay here again and yes I would recommend this to my family and friends.

"Value for our Dollar"

5
31/01/2016

We stayed one night at this best Western and paid the price of a much lower quality hotel. The check in was friendly and efficient and the room was spotless. My only inconvenience about our hotel room was that it did not have a bath. I did not request a bath at the time of the reservation and I reserved last minute, so I did not feel the need to complain about it. I know that the hotel does offer rooms with baths, because I have stayed here before. The price was paid was $30.00 cheaper than the hôtels that offer a free breakfast, so we went down to the hotel restaurant and ate our breakfast and it was much cheaper than the $30.00 we would have paid.

I took my family of 4 (kids are 15 and 13) for three night stay over new year and it was great. Rooms are clean and cosy. Our beds were very confortable. Good wireless access and tv as well and a convenient bathroom! We had breakfast at the restaurant and we liked it. The only caveat is that there is not much to do for young kids if you do not go out. This hotel is also well positionned near highways to get downtown in 10 min.

Booked this property for a one night stay during a roadtrip from Ontario to the Maritimes. Very nice property. Room had a very comfy king-sized bed and the bathroom was very modern. Great rainfall-style glass enclosed shower! Free parking and on-site restaurant looked very nice although we didn't try it. Easy access from Hwy 20 across the Pont du Quebec and easy to get back to the Hwy to continue our journey. While there, we visited the nearby Aquarium and it is wonderful - highly recommend!

27/11/2015

Came to town for personal reasons, booked for two nights and stayed for five. This place suited me very well. The room was very comfortable, bed was great and everything was spotless. Little mini fridge, lovely fluffy towels. Wine glasses, ceramic cups. Small but adequate exercise room. Super location close to major arteries. Free parking. Staff was always friendly and helpful (and I dealt with a number of them over 5 days). I almost always need earplugs at hotels but I didn't need them here. I heard nothing from surrounding rooms or the hallway and the heating system was absolutely silent. It was very peaceful. They have a restaurant but I didn't eat there. The price was also reasonable. In comparison to other Quebec City hotels, I found it very well priced. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and will recommend it to others.

20/11/2015

There is no lack of good hotels in town, but we always end up at l'Aristocrate when we want to soak up some of that infectious joie de vivre that is so characteristic of Quebec City. Comfortable and beautifully renovated, the hotel is conveniently located right off the bridges, the major highways and a scenic parkway along the St. Lawrence River that takes you right into the heart of Old Quebec within some 15 minutes, yet it is the personnel that is their greatest asset. They know that it's all about people, and they don't hesitate to go the extra mile to accommodate guests and to make us feel at home. Over the years, they have maintained an astonishingly high level of service, at affordable prices, all of which places them in a class by themselves. "Good hotel but a little expensive"

4
16/11/2015

We stayed there one night. It is a standard hotel of good quality, clean, and easy access from the highway. Bed is too soft for me as I like to have a good support for my backbone, but is comfortable enough. Free parking and good WiFi. We didn't eat in the hotel, we found very good Japanese restaurant not far away so I can consider it as a good location :) But hotel is a bit expensive, so I recommend it as long as you like a small comfort and you are willing to pay for it. It is a bit far from center of the city, so you will need a car to go there and additionally pay for parking in the city.

"Very nice hotel outside of the city"

15/10/2015

We stayed here just for 1 night and had a pleasant stay. We thought it would be so far out of the city, but it wasn't so bad, just about a 15 minute drive to Old Quebec taking the scenic road by the water. The room was small and dark, but very comfortable and the bathroom was especially pretty and spa-like! We didn't use the pool, but it looks well-kept, although small. The best feature, is being right by the bridge to exit Quebec city so quickly, and without traffic! I would recommend for a quick stay, otherwise stay closer to downtown.

Nice hotel, good location for exploring the area, room was quiet and comfort. I didn't care for the food in the room that you had to pay extra for. I wish that they did a free breakfast buffet that most Best Westerns have.

Bonjour, Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay with us. We value your feedback and we can assure you that we do everything possible to create an enjoyable experience for each of our guests. Regarding the breakfast, we need to inform you that all Best Western Hotel are independently own. Therefore, each hotel owner has the choice to include or not the breakfast in the room rate. At the Best Western Premier Hotel Aristocrate, the owner decide to not include it, unless you reserved the Bed and Breakfast package. However, the restaurant la ‘Fenouillière' located directly at the hotel serves a la carte breakfast between 7 am an 10h45am. We hope you will come back and stay with us again soon. Sincerely, Julie Leclerc

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Beautiful, modern rooms with very comfortable beds and shoothing rain shower. Clean and quiet hotel. Each room has its own little fridge and coffee/tea maker BUT be careful when you use water bottle and snacks ( like almonds or peanuts ) it will cost you $3.50 each! There is only one complimentary water bottle on your night table. That was a little bit disappointment! At the hotel we stayed for dinner and we were hoping to have a traditional turkey dinner but you won't find turkey or chicken on their menu just steak, pork, fish or deer medalions. Too bad we did not view the menu before making the reservation. When you travel with kids this is not a good place to eat. Hotel is about 30 min drive from the Old Quebec or the hotel provides a shuttle bus free of charge. Parking is great, we park our car just in front of our room. We had a great stay in this hotel!

The staff was very helpful, including booking a next-day city tour for us which we could not do online. The bed was a little soft for us, but we like a very firm mattress. The hotel in general was just fine. My only suggestion is that if you want to visit the Old City mostly and not do a lot of driving and not have problems parking, then you should book a hotel much closer, if not inside, of the Old City. You really need your own car to stay at this hotel.

We had a positive experience from the time we checked in until we left after a delicious breakfast the next morning. The ladies at the desk were very helpful and assigned us a beautiful room with a patio. We especially enjoyed the comfortable bed and shower. We will stay at Hotel Aristocrate when we visit Quebec City again. It is a short trip to the airport, which is important for us.

"Nice Property outside of Old Quebec"

This was a lovely property. The exterior, the lobby areas and the room were all really nice. The staff was friendly and spoke in English, which was helpful. The room size was definitely adequate and it had a refrigerator, but not a microwave. There is a small grocery store right behind the property that I found very convenient. I had selected this property because although it was outside of Old Quebec, there was a shuttle provided to and from Old Quebec and the hotel. The only bummer was that it was really only once a day...it left in the morning and returned in the early evening...5pm or 6. Unfortunately, that time frame didn't fit my planned schedule and I had to drive into Old Quebec myself; getting there was a straight shot and relatively easy, getting back was far more difficult and confusing. I wished I had been able to use the shuttle as I planned. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

"Convenient Efficient Overnight"

After a day of meetings the hotel is conveniently located at Quebec's major highways. The rooms are efficient and modern. While the bathroom seems small at first sight, it offers all for a comfortable stay. The restaurant is excellent, but also expensive, not quite a match for a typical Best Western. The wi-fi needs improvement, it was very slow.

Stayed three nights at this hotel. Close to some eateries and shopping. We tried to get three nights but room was only available for the two nights upon booking. Did get the third night though but had to pay more for some reason.(Wednesday night??). Took bus tour the second day. We were picked up at the hotel, which was nice, and took a free shuttle back. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Dining room was very expensive and had "different" menu. Never ate there so can't comment on food.

very very nice hotel, well located with great staff, their restaurant la Fenouilliere for dinner is out of this world experience. Breakfast, not so much. Rooms are big, calm, up to date and nicely decorated.

A great place to stay. The shuttle the hotel offers is a good way to get around. The staff was knowledgeble and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable. Had a terrible experience with the restaurant, but the staff was helpful in suggesting other alternatives for dinning.

I stayed at this hotel just for one night. This is easy access from the main highways and there is a grocery store and gas station nearby. I wish the room could be a little larger, but it was clean and functional. I have no complain about no complimentary breakfast. You can pay for a breakfast or dinner. I didn't use that, but they looked to offer shuttle ride to downtown Quebec city. Veronique at the front desk was very kind and helpful. I will be back.

"Great Break"

07/10/2015

We had decided to have a break in Quebec after our cruise and before we went back to the West Coast. While out of the city it was very easy to get into the Old City either by their shuttle or by using a bus after a "pleasant" walk. Also not far from the Laurier Centre. A nice quiet hotel even though there is lot of traffic in the area. We ate breakfast while there and had no complaints.

The King size bed and room were perfect after a flight to Quebec City. Very clean, contemporary, good dining and very friendly staff. We would definitely go back again! It's just over 10 minutes from the airport and about a 30 minute drive to Old Quebec. So, very convienant and a very comfortable stay.

"Quiet respite"

We arrived at the hotel about 10:15p.m. due to a delayed flight. The hotel is not far from the airport (about 5 miles) and is fairly easy to find with a GPS at night. Luckily, all of the front desk staff we spoke to could easily speak English, and that was the case in most of the places we visited in Quebec. That was important to us because we do not speak French. Our room was nice and located in a quiet area away from the road, with two very comfortable beds, and a wonderful bathroom. The rain shower was very soothing. The front desk recommended a great Italian restaurant just around the corner, within walking distance.
