Best Western Oceanside Inn

Overall the hotel was clean the breakfast was amazing everyday. However THE BEDS THE WORSE EVER. I had better sleep at a cheap motel then this place. I had to take pain killers to easy the back pain. Extremely disappointing. And no evelators.

This location is right next to the off ramp of the freeway and also in front of train tracks which can be disruptive but the hotel was clean and staff members are so kind and always helpful during each interaction. My room had a refrigerator AND microwave (not even my expensive hotel stays elsewhere have both) which was great to have and use. Would stay at this location again when needed to

This property is in major need of renovations. It was giving old motel, slapped with some new paint vibes. My door closed, but there was gapping all around. I was able to hear everything going on in the hallway. The dead bolt on the door would not engage. Didn't make me feel super safe. The door frames on the inside looked worn, hardware was rusted. At some point there was leaking under the sink, which left a rusted discoloration on the tile. Staining on the carpet. I never felt comfortable and was ready to leave after my one night stay. The only positives were the employee interactions I had. They were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I would never stay here again the way it is now.

This property was immaculately clean. The tile, grouting, everything very clean. The breakfast was pretty good with a decent selection of juices and the coffee was great! The location was also a plus. There was plenty of parking at all times during my stay.

The room we had at this hotel was the cleanest hotel room I have stayed in a very long time! I travel quite often, and I was very impressed with the how clean everything was. The floors (even in the corners) were spotless, everything in the bathroom and main room was very clean. All of the surfaces and small furniture were very clean. The window to the outside was even clean!

Stayed here for a meeting in the area, great value, great price and amenities. Free breakfast is always a plus, hot tub and pool were both open late & I really appreciated the privacy. There are separate entrances into the rooms from the parking lot so that you don't need to walk in and out if the lobby constantly. This is something I always appreciate when staying in hotels because it provides much more privacy and comfort overall. Nice location. Close to freeway and restaurants. Only downside is that some guest on my floor, near my room, we're extremely loud the entire night, in and out of the room constantly, slamming doors, and made it very hard to sleep. Not sure if this is a regular activity at this hotel, but the constant commotion was unbearable overnight. However, I will definitely consider staying here again.

breakfast was complimentary but needed a bigger space to accommodate plenty of guests. security of rooms could be compromised as the doors to hallways were open and anyone from the outside can just walk in.

The crew here at this best Western location surpasses the rest and I frequent all the best western in San Diego County. Arnold is one of my favorites at the Oceanside Inn location and usually works the night shift. His great customer service skills always welcome me at check in and I give this location my highest recommendation. Arnold multitasking all the guest needs quickly and I never find myself waiting for him....I may be waiting for my mother in law but I'm only waiting for Arnold to get the raise he deserves for always being so amazing. We stayed here for 4 nights during a soccer event. If you are use to Hampton, A loft this might not be the hotel for you. Older, close to freeway. About 10 min to beach. Beds were small and the price I think I would prefer a Hampton or something similar

This BW is great it has quick access to the 5 Highway, gas station is next to the Hotel. Local restaurants and quick beach drive are within 10 minutes. The main downtown area of Oceanside is within 15 main or less from the hotel. Southern beach cities are all quick to get to from this location.

Best Western was a good place to stay in Oceanside. We enjoy our Oceanside visits and this was our first stay at Best Western. It is a bit of a walk to the beach, but it pretty centrally located and freeway close too.

I didn't know if I was going to San Diego or LA after taking care of some business in Oceanside, The location is one which would work if you have a car. Otherwise it has the potential to be remote from everything and it was a long walk to get something to eat. With that out of the way, check in was done in record time, the staff was great as was the room where I got a lot of work done. In addition, breakfast was included and it got the job of morning nourishment done. Would I stay here again? If I am in Oceanside with a car, yes.

Everything was fine except we noticed there was a lot of food / drink splatter on the walls that I spent the first hr of check in cleaning. Beds are not queens as described they are full size beds. Two normal size adults will not fit comfortably in one bed.

This place was great, clean and staff was very friendly and helpful!!! The parking lot was even clean and safe. It's located right off the I-5 so it was quick to go places. Also it was quick access on backrods to the Harbor area!!!

i choose to stay at best western hotel brands becaise i feel well accomodated and their locations are very safe. Making you feel at home is important when you are travelling and this is what best western brands give you.

Stayed six nights.,Housekeeping efficient and friendly. Breakfast was good and staff kept it replenished and tidy Alexander front desk was excellent ,and friendly. The location was convenient. We really felt the room was spacious and clean and overall very quiet. Loved the hot tub, too.

Arnold is very helpful and quick checking us in using a clc card I'll come back again. Hotel is nice and clean. If you check in to this hotel you must try dutch bros next blocks. Everything is near by.

Arnold was awesome and very welcoming when we arrived! He took good care of us and made sure that we had everything that we needed during out stay. I would definitely stay here again the next time we come back!

The hotel in itself is clean and nice, but older. The breakfast was good for such a budget type of hotel. The sleeping quality was excellent. I wonder why the hotel needed to take a 300 $ security deposit in addition to the actual payment for the 3 rooms? And it takes a week to get the money back. We have 3 more stays at Best Western in California after 3 days at Marriott in San Diego and if the three other Best Western hotels also demand 300 $ each in security deposit I will never stay at Best Western anymore in my life.

I have been coming to this hotel for many years. And it is obvious that they have done nothing to improve and getting left behind. the mattresses are very lumpy and uncomfortable. I don't think I have slept in a bed so bad since I was a teen. I will not be back until they renovate. the staff is always very helpful and nice. I used to enjoy my stay here. not anymore.

This hotel has the basic amenities for good value. Although it is a bit away from the San Diego Airport (35 miles). The Full Breakfast is simple and sufficient, but nothing spectacular. While parking is ample, it is not as convenience access to the rooms. The hotel main entrance is a bit tricky right after the I-5 south exit. If one is not careful, it is very easy to over shoot. The convenience store next door is a plus. It also has a better gas price than anywhere else.

Your location is fantastic and the staff is absolutely tremendous. They are all very kind and very friendly. The room was clean and so were the hallways. The bed was comfortable and I had everything I needed. I especially want to highlight Arnold for his superior service and professionalism. He is absolutely outstanding.

Smooth check in . Rooms clean and security is good breakfast was pretty good with choices of eggs , bacon , sausage waffles cereals 5 min drive to McDonald's or Starbucks . Really handy if you want to get on/off interstate 5 . Plenty of good shopping within 15 min drive and 10 minute drive to beach

I booked our room through Expedia using the PAY AT HOTEL option. When I did so, I secured the room using a credit/debit card. For those that have used that option before, you know that is only to hold, and it's not to be used by the hotel unless you do not check into the hotel as planned. I checked into the hotel as planned and used a different credit card to pay the room balance plus $100 for deposit. The next morning I checked my bank account and unbeknownst to me, the hotel ALSO CHARGED THAT CREDIT/DEBIT CARD (used to hold the reservation)FOR THE ENTIRE STAY. I went straight to the front desk since I've now been charged over $1200. I have been told I will eventually get the money back—-within 7-10 business days—-but as of right now I've paid over $1200 for a two night stay at this hotel. The front desk agent, David, who I reported to was as helpful as he could be, and was honest about how the error was made the day before by another front desk agent, and sympathetic to the fact that I am out all this $$$. But, as we all know, once they have made the charge, it's not immediately reversible so now I am just out this money for 7-10 days because, from what I was told, my card was used as an example during a training. At this point, I'm working with my bank to try to dispute the charge and awaiting a call or reach out from the hotel manager to determine how the hotel will rectify this huge error on their part. If an acceptable resolution is reached, I will update this review accordingly.

The location was good close to the freeway with easy on and off. The room was clean but had a funky smell so we felt like we needed to air it out. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. We did not use the pool or fitness room

Bed are small and we had bugs coming into the room from under the door. The pool was nice. Front desk was nice when checked in. I lost my AirPods when I checked in but no one found them but the location pinged in the Lobby area.

This place is awesome, they have really friendly staff, rooms are clean and neat always asking if we need any help, breakfast was awesome people there were really professional and friendly. we came for my sons tournament for surf cup and it seems like all teams stay here because we ran into a lot of different teams we know. I would come back and stay here again because of the awesome customer service they offer.

David who works the front desk for the Best Western in Oceanside went above and beyond to accommodate me! I was in an absolute pinch as a solo girl passing through town and David made sure I was taken care of and reassured of my last minute stay while in town. We were booked in for a week and left after one night. The only saving grace for this hotel is the staff and cleanliness”. They are amazing! The hot tub and pool are is tiny. Our room was so loud I didn't sleep a wink. My favourite part of the visit was the 4am rendezvous on our “patio” by two women. They were standing outside of our patio doors for 30 minutes talking about nothing. They hotel doors were left open all day and homeless people and non guests could just walk through. The beds are not great for families. They're doubles and they don't offer cots so our family of 4 was sardined in. This hotel would be good for a single or couple. Not for families.

The front desk clerk was very friendly. I had called beforehand to ask about the rates and compare them to other booking prices and he was very helpful. When I got to check in, the clerk had reserved our rooms as close to each other as possible, without us asking. He was friendly and even made us laugh during the check in. During breakfast, the staff maintained the food full and were on top of it and even witnessed a staff member show a guest how to make her waffle. Overall great experience!!

Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was huge and clean. Breakfast offered a nice variety and staff stayed on top of replenishment even when it got busy. The proximity to I-5 made traveling to destinations easy and we took a 20 minute walk to a nice park and beach spot. We stayed for 4 nights and Housekeeping checked in with fresh towels and extra coffee every morning. It was super family friendly with kids playing in the pool.

Nice location and Pool and hot was great but the t.v. didn't work all day and night .never been to a hotel that didn't have working t.v. called front desk and thay said the whole hotel had no working t.v. I thought best Western was better than that .

Best Western Oceanside, CA. Aniseto Garcia Ruiz is professional, respectful, and wonderful! The breakfast was my favorite part. The service was amazing and shocking when it comes to quality and satisfaction. Thank you for your wonderful employees who made our experience BEYOND amazing with their diligence to deliver with a smile.

I will share two highlights of this hotel that make it better than most BW properties. #1. The staff makes this place shine. It's really the little things that can make a stay “ok” to “that was a good spot”. David at the front desk when I checked in really took the time to help me and was a genuine affable and very helpful person. #2. The breakfast set-up. I stay at a lot of Best Westerns and I can say this one really has their Breakfast working well. They are organized, they never run out of anything, and the environment is clean and organized for you to enjoy your breakfast and relax. Besides that, the rooms are clean and updated so I wanted to make sure I gave this Best Western a shout out as they are doing things right!

Nice hotel, Nikki at the front desk is always positive and helpful, rooms are clean and never had any issues . Breakfast is normal. Lots of parking is a plus for that area. I visit SoCal couple times a month and always stay here.

The rooms were what you would expect for a budget conscious experience. The beds were a little smaller than full-size. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially Arnold, the manager. The hotel is right off the freeway exit, making our trip commuting super easy. Breakfast was pretty solid given the cost of our stay. I would come back for the value!

We had stayed here a year ago which is why I booked this location. The room I was given this time had windows facing the parking lot so I went back to the front desk to request a change. Arnold, the manager, was very kind to upgrade me for free to a room facing the pool area. I liked that room much more. I did notice that there was not a pad of paper nor a pen on the desk. Usually there are. The next morning, after I showered, I noticed that the water didn't drain from the tub. I notified management and later that morning a plumber was in the room fixing it. But sadly, the next morning the same thing happened - the water did not drain after my shower. This hotel is very conveniently located right off the 5 freeway and other than an occasional train rolling by, it is quite peaceful. The pool area is large with many chairs and lounges. We did not use the pool area but it was nicely set up. Breakfast was buffet style in the dining room There is a large variety of items: dry cereal, oatmeal, apples, oranges and bananas (I prefer cut up fruit salad), cooked eggs, potatoes and sausages, make-you-own waffles, yogurt, pastries and bread. I would prefer more of a choice of breads (no wheat or sourdough offered), bean burritos. Overall, this Best Western is very good for a budget conscious traveler.

Our first room we went into someone had used it. There were dirty towels, an unmaid bed, and trash that wasn't our. Are next room was infested with spiders and bugs that we were constantly finding and having to kill. While they were quick to get us a new room and looks nice on the outside, it's absolutely horrendous.

People smoking weed everywhere even right outside our room and when complained nothing was done. The smell got into our our room, clothes and everything we had. Lots of sketchy people walking around the property didn't feel safe

Very poor sound insulation, with large gap around hallway door admitting light and noise. Very noisy with rude guests on a Saturday night. Area is a little sketchy as well. This is the type of establishment for which I would expect to pay about $80 per night. We paid double that amount, and the desk clerk tried to charge us an additional $26 as we checked out. Luckily I still had the reservation I had made (with BW.com) showing the correct amount. I am a Best Western elite member, (for which we received no special compensation), but will never stay at this hotel again.

close to major health services, beach, military base and fun locations. Easy to find with close access to major freeways. great variety of restaurants to choose from. the breakfast service is awesome with an excellent variety of hot food items. over all a great place to stay for the price.

Old, not Hippy hotel, with what you pay. Located right off freeway 5, very easy access. Nothing around other than some stores. A lot of questionable people around on the street but this is what you get for what you pay. Very nice staffs, pool, jacuzzi, fitness center. Free breakfast but only 7~10am, no coffee access except those hr. There was a food Mart/gas station almost inside the BW parking lot, which was very convenient for the coffee drinker like me. My room was 2nd floor right off parking lot and first night, these inconsiderable people started to chat in loud after 12 midnight. I waited and it went on until 2:30 am, and I was going to open the sliding door and needed to ask them to keep it down, then I could not figure out how to open sliding door, and while I was struggling to open the door, making noises, they kinds of disappeared because of my door opening attempt. I should have asked front desk hrs ago. They were so inconsiderate. The room was a bit overpriced for what you get. Old room, and there were no extra outlet I could plug in my electronics, which was super inconvenient. Provided towels were old and thin, and only 2….I also had to ask for toilet papers. Good size refrigerator and microwave in a room, which were great. My 2nd night price was definitely away over priced. Free parking which was much appreciated.

We were on a road trip and ended up here for the evening. It was a very good choice. This was definitely a nicer Best Western. The rooms were good and check-in was easy and quick. It's in a good location and couldn't ask for a better stay! Thanks!!

Great hotel with friendly staff. Very clean and great location right off the freeway exit and entrance. Recommend property to anyone traveling to oceanside, California. It has a very nice view as well.

Horrible beds. Very loud exterior. Overall first impression was not great. A lot of homeless people around. Hotel was clean and re-vamped, but very noisy and horrible beds. We did not feel the safest around the hotel, but it worked.

Nice and clean location, easy access to main highways and local shopping areas. Basic breakfast to start your day and parking available. Nice place to stay alone or with family and friends. I would visit again.

Upon arrival, a vagrant approached me and followed me to the staircase asking for cigarettes. Prior to this, When we parked, a prostitute was waiting on her “John”, then he parked next to us. We heard their entire conversation - we tried to go to our room and was then approached by a guy bumming cigarettes . Won't stay here again. Staff didn't seem to care when we reported it. There was loud offensive rap music that went on for an hour or so but was turned down, fortunately. It's a nice hotel and would be excellent if we weren't harassed trying to get to our rooms.

Great place to stay was there for three nights. Easy to get on and off the freeway. Couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was great, service was awesome. There is a lot of food place near by very easy to get to. . .

This was our second stay at this property. Both times we had clean, quiet rooms despite the proximity to I-5. It was evident the management cares about the health an safety of guests and employees alike. Public spaces required masks, breakfast room was set-up "cafeteria-style" rather than traditional self-serve which provided an extra margin of safety. Would stay at this property whenever in Oceanside visiting family.

We got married at the beach Thursday and booked a hotel the day of. Best Western was there for us as always and minutes from the beach. We got out 1st discount from booking thru best western, it was a great time

Location was great near beach and alot of food places across the freeway. Also hotel is a close drive to legoland. The rooms was spacy bathroom was clean showers had huge dispenser of soap, shampo and conditioner in shower. Also had extra toiletries. I loved the patio doors. The beds were not queen sized unless they are made differently a toddler and adult barely fit on the bed. Also we called to see if they had a roll out bed or cot and they didn't. Then i didnt feel secure the bottom half of door had a huge gap so we can hear everything, see the hallway and when people were smoking Marijuana the smell came into out room so we had the patio back door open for a good 2 hours. Then there was a group of guys hanging outside the hallway near their rooms then near the doors to exit to parking lot then when we went out the patio they all moved to parking lot. When its just myself and 2 small kids i dont feel safe. The breakfast wasnt great and didn't have too much great options. The wifi kept kicking us off and we couldn't figure out how to work the TV But the customer service was great and location for the price.

Was deciding where to stay overnight while visiting family in Oceanside. Hoping to find a place that was affordable, modern (not run down), safe, and quiet. This place hits all marks and has breakfast

The two primary things we look for are is it safe and is it clean and we can say yes to both. Older facility, noisy location (next to the interstate and railroad), nice pool, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast selections given Covid19 restrictions, hot and cold options; juices, coffee, eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, pastries, yogurt, etc... Amenities in our room functioned as they should and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of parking. While you could hear noise from the rooms while in the hall we never heard neighbors while in our room. Our room faced the pool and the interstate and the older sliding glass door did not close/seal well to help keep out the noise. The AC cooled well but was a bit loud, which provided for some white noise given the traffic noise, and did blow directly on the bed. Internet was good but not great. We would like to see the facility updated but would stay there again.

We loved Lily who served us breakfast Majority of our stay which was a week. Quiet and clean and we enjoyed it. The pool could of been maintained a little better with so many dead begs I would of hoped that would clean them out regularly but it did not stop our kids from enjoying themselves. They offer room service but from a out sourced place. Food was just okay. They have a laundry room which would of been convenient since we stayed so long but it was out of order most of our stay.

My friend and I stayed here for a getaway weekend and had a great experience. We had a nice breakfast both days. The pool and hot tub were relaxing. The staff was very helpful. We agreed that we would stay again.

A little farther from the beach/ Ocean than we wanted to be. friendly staff. We didn't need to much help, and the room was quiet too. Pool was cold, jacuzzi was too hot and a little green tint to it also.

Staff were polite at the counter, we had no problem with greeting us. Not sure what is greeting of an elite member suppose to mean, as the previous receiver was complaining, we are not a royal family, so no one need to bow before us. Speaking of the hotel, yes it's not modern, but rather very simple motel kind facility, but our room was clean, had no smell and air conditioner was running very well. We didn't like hotel choice of shampoo and conditioner with argan oil. We asked for fresh towels and they were quickly replaced. We did not use pool, why if you have an ocean just a mile away? Plenty of free parking. Free breakfast was just ok. On our first day the potato didn't look fresh, it was darker color and dry, on our second day it was fresh. The best part of the breakfast is coffee and made to order waffles. Check out was quick and easy.

when we first got here it took the guy 10 minutes to come out of the back room. He never acknowledged we were elite members. Sent us to a room that stunk of mildew. Hallways reek of Marijuana. We went back he sent us to 2nd floor room smelled better but air conditioning didn't work. My husband called down no maintenance on property. My husband being in maintenance fixed it. Shower was awful... breakfast was run by a lady who monitors your plate. When I asked for manager she was never on property...ice machine the close down in the morning and say its for cleaning. Stay away... pay the extra for a better stay

Holly needs training and management needs to reevaluate breakfast process. Employees serve you, have mask and gloves but touch their mask, hair, other surfaces and NEVER change their gloves. We stayed two nights, the first morning we were able to take our breakfast out, the second day we were told no take out. Again, this doesn't make sense. Last, the water in the jacuzzi was yellowish and though reported never taken care of.

This hotel is in a great location. Not too far to get to the beach, shopping or eating. It's right off the expressway and next to a gas station. It has a nice sized pool and hot tub. It does have a continental breakfast with good options, but smaller than expected dinning area. With a pandemic, I wished they had outside seating to eat at and all the employees had masks. They did send a pre check in to my email. I was told there would be no housekeeping unless requested; which we didn't, but they did light housekeeping anyway. I used a black light to check the cleanliness like always, and it came out really clean. It had an air conditioner a tv, a microwave, and a refrigerator that all worked great. The room was a good size with a decent sized bathroom, but the beds were super uncomfortable. All in all the room was what we needed especially since we weren't in it much. The water pressure was great and the the parking lot had enough space for one vehicle per room I believe. The only reason I would not stay here again is because the beds were too uncomfortable.

No problem checking in, very friendly staff! Rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. There was easy access to the main highway and everything was close and convenient. We would definitely stay there again!

This hotel was a gem. My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. They have a nice and clean pool, the staff was friendly and helpful, they served hot breakfast and the room was clean! It was close to Legoland and to the outlet. I would recommend to my friends and family! I will definitely gonna coming back here!

The hotel location is great the rooms were super clean. However when we got there the pool was under construction and we did not get no notice. Since I wanted a pool, per my son's request it was a big t if a disappointment. They let me cancelled my second night with no penalty.

Quick weekend stay at the Best Western Oceanside. Jay at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming and we got a text daily ensuring we were happy with our stay. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and they had a great hot breakfast for us. We will stay here again!

Being from the desert, this was a REALLY COOL VACATION and Great kick off to the Summer !!! The Hotel was close to the Beach !!! and we took a day trip to the Wild Animal Park. The hotel was having some work done on the pool area and painting the exterior. We didn't notice any noise, mess, or inconvenience in services, except the poll and hot tub were not available. We were going to the beach anyway so really did not need the pool and/or hot tub. Everyone was pleasant and willing to give any assistance that we needed. Really was a Supper COOL mini Vacation!!!!

Excellent stay. Friendly staff. Great nightly rate which included free WiFi, parking and breakfast. Close to freeways and nearby shopping. If you need to stay in Oceanside this is the hotel you want to stay at.

BEST Best Western Inn I ever stayed so far! It is super clean and quiet with super friendly services. Right off highway 5 and next to a gas station is definitely a big plus. Rooms are secure and you do need key card to enter the hall way which would give my family a peace of mind from stranger strangers. It is super close to Carlsbad Village too. Love this cozy place and will come back again soon since we have annual pass for Legoland.

We decided to spend a couple of days of spring break in Oceanside and was pleasantly surprised at our stay at Best Western. The hotel has been newly renovated so the rooms look very nice. I tend to judge my hotel stays on the showers so this one definitely did not disappoint. Water pressure and temperature was great and it was one of those showers where you just did not want to leave! They had daily grab-and-go hot breakfast and a to-go snack bag. Staff was courteous and friendly. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean. My daughter was ready to go in first thing in the morning. We got two rooms so the older kids can have their own space and they were able to accommodate having our rooms close by. The hotel is also close to great restaurants and only a few minutes from the beach. Overall, it was comfortable while affordable! We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back for another getaway.

Stayed here for a couple of nights and was very happy with our stay. It's located in a very convenient location and close to everything. Lots of amenities close by. The flower fields of Carlsbad is only a 12 minute drive. The beach and pier is only a 5 minute drive, where you can catch the gorgeous sun setting into the horizon. Lots of great restaurants all around! This, and so much more! The hotel's breakfast Grab and Go is very generous, and a hot meal is also available. I can attest that theirs is so much better than the ones we've experienced in our last several trips. Believe me, we've stayed in several hotels last year and some don't even offer breakfast at all! My husband and I checked-in late to the hotel because we wanted to first explore San Diego. We were pleasantly greeted by the night receptionist, Isai, who was very friendly and accommodating. Same goes for the day receptionists (one of them was Yvette) who were also accommodating. Management has trained their employees well to make their guests feel like the hotel is their second home. Most of all, the price is very reasonable, and I believe this is one of the things most of us travelers look for when booking a hotel. So if you are looking for a great place to getaway in oceanside, I would highly recommend this place!

This place is a 5 minute drive to the beach very convenient. The front desk staff are locals and are very nice and knowledgeable. Rooms are clean and spacious. 45 mins drive to San Diego and 5 mins to Carlsbad.

If you're looking for a place to stay for that last minute weekend get-away, this best western hotel is a perfect place to book! This hotel is conveniently located right off the freeway-you can't miss it. The hotel looks brand new (it must have been just recently remodeled). The old reviews here doesn't equate to what I experienced during my stay. The employees and staff are all in compliance of COVID19 protocols. The front desk has a protective glass between me and the front desk staff has mask and was helpful and courteous as we checked-in and out. The cleaning staff were all wearing masks as well. Our room is sparkling clean. Bed was comfy. It even comes with a fridge! The bathroom adheres to ADA (American Disability Act) standards, helpful for individuals with mobility impairments. They are also eco-friendly with their shampoo, conditioner and bath wash dispensers - a sustainable solution to single-use hospitality bottles. I am in public health so I look at these things at every place. This hotel is also a short drive to the beach. So many options for outdoor dining few miles away from this hotel (call ahead and check reservation for outdoor seating). This hotel also have ample parking. We came here on summer weekend and didn't feel like it was crowded at all. Overall a very well maintained hotel! I'd compare to a boutique, family friendly, and fun times. Highly recommend staying here!

Upon arrival, noticed transient people walking in and out of the hotel pool area, parking lots and hallways to rooms. Hotel staff left ALL the doorways open- leaving the rooms exposed and argued with me that it was either easier for the housekeepers, or other guests were doing it. I am appalled. Do the cameras in the halls work? If they do why aren't you preventing this- what is the point of a keycard?Safety is not a concern for guests or their families and the front desk argued that they always leaves the doors open (the ones you need a keycard to enter the hallways to the rooms). I can not explain enough times how important this is and provided many examples of why- still was not getting through. Told front desk several times throughout my 4 day stay, I was calling the corporate office to file complaints- it is the only time where they tried to reason with me and understand or try to accommodate. Pool was advertised and was told was closed because it was going to rain. We are talking it was 11am-noon and the rain was forecasted for 10pm or later- but because it was in the forecast they weren't going to open it. Argued- didn't get anywhere and finally told them I was calling corporate..... they called the room to say they made a mistake...obviously reporting to a manager the incident. Called the Harbor Best Western and wouldn't you know it- THEIR POOL WAS OPEN- regardless of forecasted weather... it's standard. It makes me think that people are being inconsiderate and not honoring what their policies are because it's too much work, or just a down right inconvenience. Towels were never restocked... garbage never taken out. On day three I mentioned something...apparently we had to request it- also not mentioned upon arrival. I even left the garbage outside the room and no one ever came to retrieve. So I had to walk it to the garbage cans outside every single time- and guess what...ALL of those were filled and piling over... so I left it outside next to the can. Asked for extra garbage bags and towels... hunted housekeeping down and finally got extra even though we started using our own personal beach towels thinking we only got a maximum of three during the stay. The location is awful. Transient people can be seen in tents right off the exit from the 5. Walking throughout the parking lot- better make sure your car is locked and you are able to check on it periodically. Also found them walking on the second floor and is one of the reasons why I turned them down when they asked me if I wanted to switch my room. Why? It's not going to make it any safer when your OWN rules don't apply. People remember that...and is probably why transient people are always around that particular hotel. I love Best Westerns and have never had issues with traveling and staying at their hotels before. If you get this far into the read- STAY AT THE HARBOR Best Western. Much nicer. Never had one problem and we come to the area for personal travel quite often. Spend the extra money and make sure you feel safe and that you are not constantly in a state of panic or feel like you have to argue with staff for something that should just be a given. Safety first... SHOULD always be a priority. I am super disappointed in my experience and still will continue filing this complaint with corporate office

Every single hall and room reaks like marijuana. They charged me 35 bucks for damage to a dirty cheap towel that they provided me. I exchanged the dirty towel for a clean one, and was refused refund after I discovered a charge on my bank statement that I was never notified about.

Every time relatives are visiting, I always tell them to stay at Best Western Oceanside Inn (we have no spare room in our house). It's super close to the beach, too and there are many restaurants in the area. They said that the hotel has undergone a renovation, too and it has greatly improved. So far all the people I referred there really liked it.

This is my favorite place to stay at in Oceanside. Rooms are clean and the bed is super comfy. The customer service is also the best! The breakfast buffet is not open due to covid restrictions but I enjoyed the coffee. Good thing theres fast food and restaurants nearby. Will definitely be back soon.

Had a lovely stay at the Best Western. Been coming here for years and they recently renovated their rooms so I enjoyed it even more. Everything was new and clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and I slept like a baby. Cant wait for my next trip back to Oceanside!

The young woman who checked us in was extremely fast. However, upon returning to our room the second day approximately 6 PM the room had not been made up. I called the front desk to ask why our room had not been cleaned and she said I was supposed to request a cleaning and towel replacement "because of Covid". I asked why I was supposed to request as there had not been any mention of this upon check in. She explained it was posted at the front desk. Nowhere did I see a notice posted and if that was the case it definitely should have been mentioned by the front desk person upon check in. I asked to at least have the clean towels delivered and was told I had to go and get them as there was no one of staff at 6 PM. My comment to here was, "So, we are supposed to self-serve ourselves for towels?" I reluctantly went down to the front desk and all the woman could say was, "because of covid...". More than once she repeated that statement which did nothing for my disappointment and continued frustration. I think I am more disappointed in the fact that #1 the Motel was barely full and we were charged over $100 per night for truly substandard service and accommodations…COVID or NO COVID.

I stayed in this hotel just recently with my family and we all really liked it. The room was clean, bed and pillows were really comfortable. Even our toddler slept well that night. Breakfast was grab n go because of covid but it's ok because at least they give high protein food. That's always a plus in my book.

Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, and staff was the best! Its very close to the beach and my son had a great time. There's many restaurants nearby as well. Cant wait to stay again!

My friends and I are frequent visitors of this hotel. We go there mainly to fish and because the room price is very reasonable, we don't even think of looking elsewhere. Just recently they underwent renovations and got new carpet and furniture so now I feel like they deserve a good review from me. This hotel is doing a good job at maintaining their good standards through the years.

Had a short but nice stay at this hotel just recently. For how much they are charging per night, I can honestly say you will get your money's worth. What I really liked is how they make sure everything is sanitized. The front desk manager always sprays the lobby with a sterilizing gun and when I asked about it, she said that they use it fir the rooms too. This is very important to me because I always travel with my kids. I highly recommend this hotel.

I am the type who only cares about how clean the room is and how comfortable the bed and pillows are. I have no complaints about this hotel. My stay was comfortable and the price was very reasonable.!!!!!

This was my family's first hotel stay since covid and I'm happy I chose Best Western Oceanside Inn. I was too scared to stay anywhere but my house but I felt safe here. The room looked and smelled really clean when I went in. They check your temperature at the lobby too. We came here to fish and their location is convenient because it's so close to the pier. We also had no trouble looking for places to go because it's close to restaurants and shops.

We stayed here for the first with my family and friends for a weekend get away. Check in process was quick and easy . COVID 19 protocols are in placed, appreciated the safety measures/precautions observed especially during this pandemic. The hotel looks clean and newly renovated with a free parking lot. Great customer service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were surprised to find our room very spacious and beautiful(it exceeded our expectations).It has an amazing view of the pool. The room was equipped with a widescreen television, a refrigerator and a microwave which are very useful to us. It also has a great AC unit (remote control) and a fast complimentary Wifi. The bed was extremely comfortable, the pillows and linens smell fresh and clean as well. The place was so quiet and we felt very safe. The hotel is just a mile away to the beach/pier which is awesome. There's also a lot of great restaurants and shops nearby. It is a perfect place to relax and rest after a day full of adventures. We had an amazing stay at this hotel and we will definitely come back! Will highly recommend!

Great location easy access to Camp Pendleton and San Diego. The hotel was under construction but they did wait until after 8AM to start working. My suggestion and they may have done this and didn't have a choice but maybe don't put people right across the hall from the rooms still being remodeled. Lenny at the front desk is fabulous and extremely helpful. The remodeled rooms are very nicely done. Watch the sliding doors, they are nice but don't lock easily so double check them.

No issues from booking, check-in, stay, breakfast, and check-out. Room was clean, heat/AC was quiet, couldn't hear much outside noise, breakfast was brown bag to go due to Covid-19 crisis, I'd stay here again in the future.

Stayed 4 nights (daughter and son in law stationed there) shower was broken and they never fixed (for 4 nights). Cold showers for 4 days, no call back or repair after reporting the first day. No chairs on the balcony, bathroom door stuck and stale odor in room.

This was the second time we have stayed at this location. Our room was clean. We had a sliding glass door leading to the pool area. We did not have time this trip to use the pool or spa but have enjoyed it in the past. The breakfast was your standard Best Western fare which is good. The proximity to the beach and Legoland is nice. We would stay here again.

It is never pleasant to find oneself writing an extremely negative review, but sometimes it just has to be done! Don't be fooled by the photos on this property's webpage - nice room staged - more money spent on lobby and public rooms than on guest rooms! Best Western Oceanside Inn is like any property - it has pros and cons - so here goes. Pros: It is close to I-5. Cons: 1) It is close to I-5 and a hillside homeless encampment between the property and the freeway (just outside the east perimeter fencing), 2) the room we were given (138) had a definite musty/moldy odor, 3) the drapes in the room would not fully close so the lights around the interior courtyard and pool area streamed into the room throughout the two-nights we were at the property, 4) room entry key did not work properly requiring a visit to the office to obtain a replacement, 5) NO HOT WATER available to take a shower on the morning of departure (March 2nd), 6) website and brochure in room indicated a HOT BREAKFAST - website and brochure lied - went to breakfast area at shortly after 6:00 am (start of service) when food should have been at its hottest - all of the supposedly "hot" foods were lukewarm at best - the waffle batter was the thinnest of the three other Best Westerns we stayed at on this trip which resulted in a terribly-prepared final product. 7) Signage, though visible from I-5, is totally inadequate if approaching the hotel from the west as we did - no signage at all along Oceanside Blvd. so we drove right past the hotel then had to locate a place to turn-around to return in search of the point of entry to the property. 8) The bed we used has seen better days - it sags - bedding also shows age. CANNOT, in good conscience, RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

Around sunset this evening I was surprised to see the Hispanic male that works at the front desk inside of my room. He claimed I didn't pay. First off if I didn't (which I'm positive I did because the day before the front desk supervisor Christian who's been nothing but sweet to me reserved it for me) why the hell was my PayPal acct charged 120$?!?! He reserved it for me because everything was booked. Anyways if that was the case why would he wait 5 hrs after check in to barge into my room, because homeboy didn't knock didn't call the room once or call my cell phone and don't tell me you don't have my number because Christian has called me numerous occasions. He came at me like he was going to physically assult me I was terrified then he threatened that if I didn't pay right then and there he'd call the police. I refused I'm not going to stay anywhere when the employees treat me as if I stole something from them. I was shocked and so distraught and scared that I was physically shaking and crying. He called me a liar and he told me that I'm banned from the premises. Are you serious you should not be a representation of that establishment. You are unprofessional and you're a coward to physically threaten a 5'3 100 pound female. I hope he loses his job worst customer service ever. Why didn't he Knock why did he have to try to be scandalous and sneak into my room. I demand a refund I haven't been that emotionally upset in a while. Then after all that transpires he has the odassity to ask me to come pay for tonight. Umm HELL NO! I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER IN MY LIFE DO YOU ANY TYPE OF FAVOR! He humiliated me in front of other guests there. I'm embarrassed I still can't believe his actions if that's who you want representing your company then your not going to have any customers I really liked staying there too what a shame. -sheila Ingram

I'll always give a good review unless something goes terribly wrong. We traveled with twins, and while this hotel doesn't have cribs, at least they told me that so I could come prepared with pack n plays. Everything was in fine working order and the hotel was clean with friendly staff.

This hotel is wonderfully located right off the 5 freeway and oceanside. The bed was a little stiff and the fridge was extremely loud. Other than that great place. The breakfast is cool but be careful with the eggs.

Clean room, nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. Great gated pool and hot tub. About 45 minutes (in no traffic) from San Diego airport to hotel, easy to get to. I love the daily breakfast; it's very convenient. The only part I did not like was having to eat in the dining room. Signs and an attendant prohibit you from taking food back to your room. Staff is very courteous.

This is a hotel where the location is its primary draw. As a photographer, I found Oceanside Beach presenting many opportunities for great photographs. The hotel otherwise is just good enough. It's a little "tired." The room decor is dark (carpet, drapes, bedspreads), the plumbing fixtures are a bit loose, and it's a bit drab. However, if you can overlook these minor flaws (which we could), the price can't be beat. It is one of the least expensive to be found in all the beach communities along the 5 Freeway to San Diego.

Very nice, clean, affordable and an Awesome, Awesome breakfast! This place is a little ways from the downtown and beach area but it's only a few miles drive. I was pleasantly surprised and I also loved the friendly staff.

Renovations being done and is nice property. Location has great freeway access and close to Ocean. Nearby to Oceanside pier, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Del Mar, La Jolla. and their attractions. Very nice breakfast room, fitness room, and pool area.

You can't go wrong staying here. From check-in to check-out it was an overall great experience. The manager, Christian, was cordial and professional and in my opinion a go above and beyond kind of person. I will definitely stay there whenever in Oceanside for any reason. The parking is a real plus as well.

This Best Western was one of the best that I've ever stayed at. The location was close to the beach & interstate. The rooms were clean and the staff were polite and professional. I highly recommend this hotel.

We came for a soccer tournament and this location was 10 minutes from our fields. And was super close to the beach. Would stay there again! Sarah at the front desk was awesome. She was friendly and helpful!

It is an older property, but clean and well maintained with friendly staff. The bed was comfortable, the WiFi worked great, good breakfast and 5 minutes from the beach! I loved that our room had a balcon with nice view of the pool

My bad review was removed. I must have stayed at a different hotel then these good reviews. My room was switched 3x.. not hot water, no freezer, I ended up in a smoking room with a leaky toilet from the bottom. Do not recommend this hotel.

Great staff. Hotel is clean and safe. Rooms were large and we enjoyed a full breakfast. The best thing about the hotel was the cheerful staff. I will stay there again. We had a fish dinner in the lovely downtown area.

The staff were amazing. They went out of their way to provide excellent service. It is hard to pick out just one person, but, SARAH was a real champion. We had car trouble during our stay and received good advice and help from everyone. They were considerate to our predicament and arranged early and late check ins to perfectly suit our needs. WELL DONE TO A TERRIFIC TEAM. Another highlight was the Breakfast - it was as good as it gets.... and made for an excellent start to the day. The Hotel is well positioned being so close to the Freeway (I5). Despite being so close, our room was quiet and we had no trouble sleeping. It is not right on the Beach but is only a 5 minute drive away. The room was nice and clean and NOT smelly as is the case with many other Hotels. We have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel.

Christian, the front desk Manager is so sweet. This is a well managed, down to earth Best Western. The location is perfect, right off the 5 freeway and very close drive to the Ocean. Also a perfect location for So Cal Sports Complex, only a couple of miles down the street. I would definitely stay here again.

We stay in the area several time per year for business and this location is very convenient, accommodating and comfortable. We had to leave very early in the morning, so were unable to take advantage of the breakfast, but it's a great offer.

We met Mr Ashley after a very horrific experience at a nearby hotel. We began conversations and he invited us to stay at his hotel and boy were we blown away. We were greeted by a friendly staff who quickly got us into our room where a gift bag awaited us. Our room had a beautiful view and the toiletries (as I always forget something ) smelled amazing !!!! We enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast before packing up to leave. This is definitely a place that we will be visiting again!

This BW is updated and in excellent condition. Room was clean, bed very comfortable. Everything worked well, staff were all friendly and helpful during my 3 nites stay. Breakfast was hot and tasty. I had a very enjoyable stay & highly recommend this location.

I truly wish I could of stayed longer to enjoy this hotel and trip, but I will be back at the end of the month and will be adding an extra day. There is some freeway noise, but that's to be expected, staff was friendly and helpful, even the sweet lady that worked for the maid service. Room was clean, comfortable, with a larger than normal bathroom and a balcony. Will definitely stay there again at the end of the month, but hopefully add a day for leisure.

had a 2 night stay here upon check in another guest had 2 dogs constantly barking and disturbing other guests.. the staff was very receptive to any concerns I had and addressed them in a timely manner.

I just want to give a shoutout for Christian at the front desk!! His professional & pleasant attitude literally started on the phone when I called to change my reservation that I had previously booked online. He was so pleasant on the phone & accommodated my request. Then a few days later I requested a possible early check in as I realized we would be arriving in the area well before the normal check in time. Christian eloquently explained that if the rooms were not sold out the night before they would be happy to accommodate us earlier, but he would not be able to answer that question until the actual day of our arrival. As we did arrive earlier than projected, who did I see in person at the front desk upon our arrival... Christian & the pleasant & professional attitude & attention to detail was standing in front of me. Although there were no rooms available for early check in, he gave some recommendations for breakfast & some things to check out in the area along with maps & directions. He made sure he had my proper information & said he would call me as soon as something was available to check in & he did follow through. We have traveled a lot & stayed in 5 Star hotels all over the world & even though the hotel is a little older, it has had some renovations & is very clean. We found that the housekeeping staff was also very pleasant & on point along with the staff on the breakfast crew. Thank you all for a great getaway & we will be back!

This trip was wonderful and the hotel staff made it all that more enjoyable by their services. The room was good and the staff was good about cleaning and making sure we had everything we needded. The location is right off of the 5 Hwy and just down the street from the strand. We had a really enjoyable time and would stay there again.

Our family comes back to this Best Western every time we are in Oceanside and it is always great. This time we were greeted with an exceptionally special welcome from Christian. He went above and beyond to help us get into a room early and to adjust our reservations and I can't say enough about how helpful Christian was! If you are ever in Oceanside and want amazing customer service, come to this Best Western!

Questionable people in parking lot loitering. Noisy...train. And freewsy. Central booking for BW made a mistake so we got a room like a jail cell.room by pool smelled like smoke place is run down...hot water took the minutes to come on I took a cold dhower. This was not a Best Western plus just a plain one that should have been my first clue. I !over to a BW plus the quality was far above this hotel and the difference in price was minimal.

I stayed at the Best Western Hotel in Oceanside. It has a lot to offer. A nice workout room, a laundry room for any extended stay, great service people checking us in and out, a nice breakfast area to eat and drink coffee and juice, a clean room and nice soft bedding with plenty of pillows. It was pretty quiet last night. They have a remote controlled heating/AC unit which was a first for me. A micro and refrig are nice to have and several drawers for the dresser. Two things were more of a negative to me:…there are only two electrical outlets available in the actual room and that outlet is no where near the desk they have provided for us to work on. There is another outlet as you walk in the room, probably for the iron, and there is an outlet in the bathroom. I have 5 devices I travel with and I like to work at a desk but again, NO electrical outlet even close to the desk. The other thing is the toilet seat is super tiny. It's the smallest I have ever sat on. I'm 6'1 (not that big) and it's a pain to use the toilet. Anyone bigger than me would have major problems. I also had problems with the shower, turning it on and off…it seems very old and needs replaced. It's a nice location and a nice price.

Try and stay on bottom floor to avoid the outdoor stairs. It was hard to maneuver luggage and a disabled person up and down the stairs. If you want peace and quiet do not get a room by the swimming pool.

It's not a perfect hotel but it was clean and the service was great. It does need a good solid reno but they clearly working on it and it's really not that bad. I had a few concerns (I generally don't ask to be moved or complain) but I the list of little issues started adding up. They heard my concerns and moved us to a better room and Andrew was awesome!!!! It's great to feel listened too and he was just so respectful and a great conversationalist. He took the bad and made it a great stay. It's also affordable and we would stay there again.

Check in was fast. Room was the typical 2 double beds with a microwave and mini fridge. Pool and hot tub area were well kept. Breakfast was the usual waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, cereal, pastries, apples, bananas. From room 209 we could hear the highway traffic! Even with the patio door closed it sounded as if it was open due to the lack of sealing. Wouldn't stay here again.

Once a year we travel to this area for a soccer tournament. This is a perfect location easy freeway access. Easy check in. Plenty of parking for large vehicles. Fantastic breakfast options included. Very close to beach. Rooms are clean some remodeled. Price is excellent. Staff always nice.

Just completed our stay at the BW Oceanside Inn for a soccer tournament and Isai & Briana at the front desk were great in accommodating the needs of a traveling sports team. The rooms were clean and the staff was kind, attentive, & understanding even when there were a few things out of their control. For instance, the water in the shower took a while to heat up and the water pressure was no where near it should have been but that something that front desk can do nothing about except for call maintenance. The breakfast was filling and delicious, and venue is near freeways and store in case you need quickly grab anything you need. It was nice to know that the folks at the front desk were willing to do their best to help us have a pleasant stay.

From the minute we checked in, Chris could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. This hotel is a bit dated, but it is clean and comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi area is especially attractive with great landscaping and plenty of room. It's a pleasant place to come back to after a day exploring. The free breakfast is excellent. We were lucky to get this on Hotwire but would stay again regardless. Highly recommended for families!

We used the early pre check in and arrived on time with no problems. Our room was excellent as was the service from beginning to end. We will be coming back next year. We highly recommend Best Western were ever we go

I dont think the hotel is worth the 190 we paid it is outdated and I didnt feel comfortable being exposed by the parking lot through our sliding glass door and no gate just half a bush and no screeen.

I like this place. Good breakfast, clean, spacious, staff are all nice.Except for the next room's 5am alarm, kept snoozing for an hour, interrupted my sleep, then i i thought I could sleep at 8am again, there's the remodeling noises, I did not know that they were remodeling the place this time. But i will come back again. I always like BW Oceanside Inn

If you want a quit place with access to shopping, beach, the shopping center at a reasonable price then book into the Best Western Oceanside Blvd. I prefer to stay at this hotel for these same reasons. Service is fast, check in and out is quick and I have never had any complaints.

We have stayed at this property a number of times because of its proximity to our family. It's right off the freeway. It appears to be in the process of a renovation which is very much needed. There is no elevator on the property.

Staff was wonderful. Care and attention to my Needs and initial room desires. Amenities in room were good: refrigerator, micro, hairdryer, WiFi, A/C. Did not sleep well due to proximity to the highway but there are ways to solve this for any future stays. I would still come back here just bring ear buds or use a sound machine on phone for example.

Find another hotel the rooms were old and run down. There was street noise, bright lights in the back of the location. Not the best hotel experience however the breakfast was decent and there was hot water in the old tub

Work was taking place so it was a bit of a challenge to get around. Luggage cart was a big help and had nice hooks to help carry some items. Parking was convenient. There was no outlet on one side of the bed so we had to use an extension cord to plug in a needed CPAP. Breakfast was good, but there was no skim milk.

I have stayed here several times in the last 4 years and I have never had an issue with loud room neighbors or traffic noise. That matters because I come here to rest mostly. I love the location because it's off the beaten path without being too far away from things to do or public transportation if you don't drive. The rooms are not the most updated I've been in but you get a fridge and a microwave which is plenty for a hermit like myself. The rooms are always clean and the breakfast is okay. Quite decent for the price

We came to California for our soldier's return from deployment. Location, location, location. The hotel was very close to Camp Pendleton and a short drive to a beach. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast offered a good variety. The rooms are comfortable but a little dated. The value was great. We would stay here again.

Good for the money. They have no king beds on the first floor which is important to me as I stay for business and have lots of luggage. Breakfast is great, opens at 6am which is important as I start work early.

This is an older property but is extremely clean and well maintained. They are currently repainting the hallway and updating the rooms on the second floor where we stayed. The carpet in our room appeared clean but was in need of stretching to remove the wrinkles. There was some noise from the freeway but not loud enough that it kept us awake at night.

We stayed 5 night at Best Western. It is located close to I5 highway so it's a little bit noisy. Also, right across the hotel they build a new apartment complex so be prepared for lots of noise from 7 am. What we really liked about this hotel was breakfast. It was very good with lots of choices: fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, roasted veggies and many more. Hotel is conveniently close to the I5 freeway with lots of parking. All the staff members, especially Chris the front desk clerk, were extremely nice, polite and cordial. I visited Oceanside to get some badly needed R&R after a few stressful months but unfortunately, I didn't read the other reviews before going here and discovered one side of the hotel faces the freeway and the other side faces an apartment construction with heavy equipment noise all day. The buildings are a little dated and the sliding door seals are worn, so it won't keep the noise out of your room. Breakfast was good with hot and cold opti

Room was clean and quiet. good location right off the freeway. short drive to downtown Oceanside. staff was friendly and helpful. quick check in. parking convenient to room. website doesn't mention room service but they have it through a third party. Menu in room, you dial and they pipe you into a nearby pizza/Italian type place. Refrig and TV in room.

Great location! The room was clean and very quiet considering you are right next to the freeway. Staff was friendly and very efficient. Breakfast had all the usual favorites. Very well done, plenty of food. Highly recommended!

Good location, nice pool and hot tub, incredibly uncomfortable beds and dirty floors. Light on the porch stays on all night and the curtains do not close completely to block the light out. So if comfortable sleep is not your priority then this hotel is just fine.

Access to hotel was good. The hotel is right off the interstate. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and very cozy (Small). Parking was easy. Full hot Breakfast was good.Overall a very good experience.

The room was clean and the parking was not a problem. It was easy to jump on the freeway and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was enjoyable because of all the options given. We slept well the one night we stayed, there was no noise in the halls. We had plenty of hot water for a shower.

I have always found this hotel to have friendly professional staff. The rooms have been clean andcomfortable. The breakfast has a wide variety of items that were excellent. I would nothesitate to stay at this hotel every time I am in that area.

This is a very nice hotel and very reasonably priced. Breakfast is awesome here! The location is just a short distance from the beach. Our room on the 2nd floor had a nice balcony with sliding glass door and it was very quiet. Really enjoyed our stay and will come again.

Excellent stay in wonderful town of pacific beach. The people working in the hotel are do friendly and supportive. Walking to the beach requires just 10min, car not needed. Great place to stay for outstanding and exciting time of leasure.

Our room was nice.. We checked in about 330 am Friday morning. Didn't get in to our room until almost 445am.. The room that was set aside for us was given to some one else.. I didn't find out until about the 3rd trip to the room (luckily nothing happened to my family and I). We were given two other rooms instead of the one room we originally requested. 2 king size bed rooms. Which actually worked out for us being a family of 6. But every night we came back to our rooms, the keys didnt work.. We had to go to the front desk and reprogram them... The good thing is they only charged us the original single rate for the 2 rooms for all 3 nights and only partial for the first night.

Staff was outstanding, but the rooms needed to be updated with the exception of the air (it was great)(no noise) The power went out for hours leaving us in the dark and without air. No mention of a reduced rate because of it. Overall a nice place to stay.

The good: Location and price The OK: Old hotel but clean, good mattress. The ugly: The management shall NOT confuse business and politic. The TV in the bedroom is program that every time you turn it on it comes automatically with FOX News propaganda channel. FOX news is also the only channel in the breakfast room. I seriously doubt that is just coincidental. While I respect the political views of the person that program the TVs, I request that person to do the same to Its clientele. I suggest that when we put the TV on that we have local news that are NOT political. Thanks.

Wonderful staff, beautiful lobby & breakfast room. Rooms are definitely outdated but we were in town to go to Legoland so we were only in the rooms for a short time. Pool was clean and nice. Great for the price.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel that was clean and offered breakfast. What we got was way more! We needed three rooms and called after booking to see if we could be near each other. The person on the phone was so nice and accommodating. She got our rooms together and we had a pool view. The rooms were not only clean but very comfortable with everything we needed. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast had a small variety with warm and cold options. For the price this was definitely a perfect place for us. We were only a 10 min(if that) drive away from Legoland.

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, breakfast, a swimming pool, a jaccuzzi, laundry room, exercise room, wi-fi, not far from the beach...what more do you want? No elevator? No problem, ask for the first floor. I like to park right outside my patio to unload my car.

Check in staff was incredible. Very friendly and helpful. I was asked the reason for my travel and they offered prefect directions for the next day. The room was clean and updated. Property is aging but you can tell they try. Shower head and water pressure were spot on (if you have long thick hair, you know the struggle is real!?!). Mini fridge/freezer was already on and cold - so helpful! The internet was fast & i love the AC system they have. Very efficient and easy to use. The location was a little loud (home construction going on close by) however it was easy to find and right off the freeway which worked for my travels. Perfect hotel for a quick overnight stop

This hotel need major update period!!! Bed and pillows horrible!!! Room have bad odor! Water pressure horrible! Full breakfast by far the worst bestwertern breakfast we have experience!!! Staff need to be friendly period!!! (Chris was only the good one) the rest average or rude!!! If there is 10 Chris sarcastically speaking then this hotel will only need MAJOR UPDATE (INCLUDING NEW BED AND PILLOWS) AND BETTER BREAKFAST

Upon check-in, assigned to a room way in the back with the only view of the parking lot. Toilet didn't function properly; mattress very uncomfortable and room carpet very dirty. Moved to a different room after complaining which was marginally better. This is an older Motel that says newly renovated but a poor quality renovation and cheap bedding and toilet and shower fixtures.

Even though I'm going to be semi-harsh in this review, I want to first acknowledge that the staff was extremely nice and the price for the hotel was good. Don't let the pics of the pretty lobby fool you. This hotel still needs a lot of work. I'll keep this short and simple: Pros: Close to freeway and food, decent size mini-fridge, nice staff. Cons: Parking lot is extremely small and tight, they have a staff shortage so your room might not get cleaned (like ours... but they came later the next day to do it), they turned the water off in the morning without notifying us (not sure if this happens often), rooms look and feel dated, rooms have an odd air freshener smell to it, they do not offer rooms with two queen beds, depending on the time of day... it can be quite noisy, and pool towels are hilariously small. I expected a much better hotel for being a Best Western. Its time to step up their game.

This hotel is easy to find next to I-5. It's a bit far from the city and the beach. The service at the reception (by Chris) was really friendly. The hotel isn't exactly new but the room we stayed in pretty much had all we needed. There was a corridor door next to our room and it was quite loud every time somebody entered or left the building. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay. It was quite comprehensive and fresh.

This hotel was convenient to the I-5. The room was a basic room. It was clean and neat and had a very nice breakfast bar. The area the hotel is in isn't the best of areas, but for a quick rest overnight, it was fine.

This property has a high rate of employee turnover which adversely affects the customer. You either have incompetent or undertrained. In either case it's the customer that pays the price both literally and metaphorically.

Room was dirty ( hair on pillows) Bath tub did not drain so we had to shower in a foot of standing water. Curtains did not close all the way so light from outside lamps was shining in all night long. Pillow were lumps of foam. Nothing comfortable about them. Worst night I ever spent in a hotel. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere.

Chose this property for it's location and rate. The room was very clean and comfortable. Zorina at the front desk was wonderful. If you have any issues, talk to her. She will make it right. I didn't know what to expect when booking this property as the rate was very reasonable. For the price my experience was, you definitely get value for your dollar.

The price was great and the breakfast was very much worth it. A few improvements could be made... we stayed in a non-renovated room that smelled musty. We were not in the room very much though. The lock on the patio door was reinforced which was a little strange. Instead of policing people at breakfast with your room number, I don't know why they don't just require entrance via room key- that would make way more sense and way less invasive. Housekeeping left our room unlocked one day when we were out, and with the door partially opened- the doors are on the outside of the building so anyone on the street could have walked in. We arrived back around 10 pm and reported it to the front desk. Upon check out they did not know of this situation so I had to re-tell the front desk staff. Nothing was stolen/missing but it was very unsettling. They compensated with $25 off- which was a nice gesture but I am still unsatisfied.

Everyone from check-in to housekeeping was great!!!!! I enjoyed the pool and especially the spa. Loved the coffee maker, fridge, hair dryer, and all the other amenities that came with the room. THANKS FOR A GREAT STAY

Nice looking hotel in a great location. Clean well maintained appearance, pool and a friendly staff. Unfortunately the lack of soundproofing is unacceptable. A simple conversation in the next room is easily heard. Traffic noise from the 5 is constant and train horns are clearly heard. Out of a four night stay I was able to get one nights sound sleep.

This place is a typical motel UNTIL you need something. Then, forget it!! YOU WILL BE ON YOUR OWN!! I was left with NO TV for two days, until I stopped believing their lies (that they would fix it) & just gave up & checked out. They charged me the full rate afterwards & said it was because it was MY fault that I believed them & didn't just leave! (What?!) They have very high turnover there - most of the employees are under 6 mos - and it's no wonder. NO ONE is competant, except Millie- the head housekeeper. She's phenomenal & they give her NO respect, from what I could see. I wound up paying $15 more per night to stay at the Hilton (ON the ocean) who were amazing, compared to this place! No wonder no one ever stays here! If you think it can't happen to you, think again, too. I'M A DIAMOND MEMBER!!!!

I had received and email the the prior what time I was checking in so I replied between 12 to 2pm so when I get there the next day they inform me check in is till 3pm and it would be another $20 so what was the point of responding to there email plus the hotel just need an update there was a lot of Mickey Mouse handyman patch work.

Stayed Fri-Sun. Room was ok. Nothing glamorous. TV, refrigerator. Had a little "musty" smell. (Like alot of properties by the ocean?) Tub didn't drain so they sent up maintenance who cleared it. TV had "pop ups" about the surround sound that I couldn't get turned off. It has free WiFi but the signal didn't reach our room ?? 242. It's in a great location. I-5 right outside the drive, beach and shops min away. Has breakfast but I went to Starbucks other side of the freeway.

The hotel staff were all very pleasant, polite and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Wi-Fi was fast for a hotel. The breakfast room was clean, the attendant helpful and there was a large selection of breakfast items.

We didnot like this hotel. Checkin before 3 was not possible because in this time the rooms are cleaned.No check if a room was available. Pool was very cold and dirty.Many dead insects in the water. Room is spacious.But bed hard. Bathroom looked little bit worn and toilet smells dirty. Old socks from guest before lying in the bathroom. Leaving and entering the hotel is on a blind spot with buissy traffic. So I would not recomend this hotel at all. Worst in our vacation.

An older BW that is very conveniently located (adjacent to I-5 and Oceanside Blvd.), near shopping, restaurants, the beach and pier, and the south end of Camp Pendleton. Features friendly and helpful staff, very attractive remodeled lobby, a pleasant pool and large outdoor hot tub, generous breakfast, and guest laundry. All rooms have very quiet and efficient air conditioning - the best we have ever experienced in a budget hotel. The notably lower tariff for the area reflects the somewhat worn condition of the rooms. This is NOT an upscale BW, and it is not fancy. Popular with families and visitors, multi-night discounts are available online especially for weeknights - a real bargain. It was quiet at night, and the pool is now closed and locked at 10 pm. We felt safe and comfortable, and would absolutely stay here again.

I don't normally stay at inn-type hotels but in a pinch had to settle for this property. We were pleasantly surprised that we enjoyed our stay as much as we did. It's a great little hotel, great hot tub and decently sized pool. Wonderful, friendly staff. Recommend!

No maid service, poor check in and had to ask for a receipt at check out. Location was good but highway was a little noisy. The gas station next door had trucks backing you up at 3am Beep Beep. Lousy coffee

We were very satisfied with our stay, the breakfast is great! The staff could not be better!! Everyone was friendly an professional, I was there on a stressful business trip, my stay at this location took the stress right out of things! The manager Chris and all the staff included were great!! I'm looking forward to my next visit!!

I was a little worried when I found a hotel 5 minutes from the beach at an excellent price. I was sure something would be wrong. From the moment I entered the lobby I was convinced I had made the right choice. Chris greeted me and offered to call me when my room was ready (I was quite early). I had a great lunch at the 101 café and shortly after that I was called back to check in. My room was clean and well appointed. The guests were quiet, even though the hotel was full. I have spent far more for much less. Within minutes of the hotel I could be on the Oceanside Pier, Carlsbad Lagoon (bird watching), the Oceanside Marina (dinner). It was close enough to family in surrounding areas to be convenient. The only thing lacking was an ocean view, but then the price would have doubled. Stay here and walk 5 minutes up Oceanside Blvd. to see the ocean.

Close to downtown but not in the center of it all. Clean, friendly and helpful staff make the attention excellent. Separate room for fitness center and breakfast room. Nice pool and separate hot tub as well.

We were really satisfied with our choice to stay Oceanside Inn. We were there in Oceanside to celebrate our 48TH anniversary and we had a great time. The breakfast that they served was fantastic and they staff that prepared the food were very friendly and the food was delicious. The room was very clean and comfortable. We will be staying there again on our next trip to Oceanside.

I spent one night in the hotel in September 2017. I enjoyed complementary breakfast and high-speed internet. Many parking spaces just in front of the hotel make it easy to get back and forth from the car to the room but on the other hand the curtains have to be closed if you want to have some privacy. Check-in and -out went well with no issue. Oceanside restaurants and beaches are close but I took a car. I think it would be 20-30 minutes of walk to the downtown.

We really enjoyed our stay, the price was great and the breakfast good. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the breakfast and the parking was easy. More area to eat breakfast would be nice, but again for the price of the hotel it wasn't a big deal to us.

The Best Western at Oceanside is situated at a convenient location accessible to all the attractions in the area. Amenities in the hotel are nice and complete especially their full continental breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful in providing extraordinary services in assuring a good stay for the customers.

Stayed 5 nights,so I saw some little things that could use improvement.Overall,Chris(manager) was excellent,as was Zorina .Security must limit access to buildings and pool area with required key access.Balcony should have chairs so people can use them.Breakfast was great .Many options.Staff was great ,as well.I will probably return.

Price was not bad and I convinced them to give us a room next to the pool. Not bad. I would stay there. Breakfast was not bad. However, I would prefer more of a variety then the same thing daily. Biscuits and gravy would be good too.

Not fancy but comfortable and clean. Within walking distance to the beach (less than a mile). The people on staff are friendly and helpful. I have stayed here quite a few times and will continue to do so.

This motel is above average for the category. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast offers lots of selection. It seems best suited to families, based on location and family friendly amenities. If you are someone who likes to turn in early, don't take a poolview room. The 10 pm pool closing is not enforced and late night pool users are rather inconsiderate of those who might be trying to sleep. The night desk staff did not seem willing to ask them to leave, or at least talk quietly. I reported the issue the first night of my stay. The second night there were noisy people until almost 1 am.

This hotel may be going through some sort of renovation because there was a truckload of mattresses being delivered when we were there. We wanted something inexpensive at the beach, and this hotel fit that category. However, this is a old and tired hotel and service was lackluster. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good and there was a complete breakfast. However, the room was postage-stamp size, the beds were double (as opposed to queen-size), they ran out of items at breakfast, and little problems that came up were not handled well. But this was an inexpensive hotel at the beach, and that could be enough for some travelers.

We had a long day at the beach. So we decided to stay at Oceanside inn. The location is close to the beach and the freeway. It has a pool and the jacuzzi. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. It was hot so we were trying to use the air conditioner but the location of the air conditioner is so that blows right in your head as you try to lay down on the bed. So we decided not to use it so the kids wouldn't get sick. After restless night we went to get the breakfast. The juice machine was out of service and so was the cereal the kids wanted to have. The scramble eggs and potatoes tasted awful. The potatoes needed to be cooked more and maybe seasoned a bit. I don't think we are to stay at that location again.

Glad we only had to spend a night at this place because we did not enjoy our stay at all. I have to say that the only positive thing about this hotel is it's staff. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They were awesome! But the hotel is in very bad shape. The carpet in our room was old, dirty and even torn on certain places. The rooms had a weird musty smell and the worst part of all was that we found a cocroach in our room and a dead rat outside of our room! After that I lost my peace of mind because it is extremely easy to bring them back home in your luggage and that puts me in panic mode. We would definitely not even consider staying here again!

This motel was very nice and very convenient. Even though adjacent to the freeway there was not noise which was appreciated. The room had a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The beds were very comfortable.

Great value for the money spent and very nice and professional staff. Just needs better parking (wider spots) and a few upgrades. But it is well taken care of. Wish the beds were a bit bigger too. Breakfast included and it was great, many options for entire family.

Clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The staff here was wonderfully friendly and accommodating. The manager Chris upgraded us to a nicer room without even asking! He also recommended the perfect restaurant for us to have dinner and watch the sunset , and hear live music too! Rose the receptionist was very kind, warm and friendly too! We've never been treated better!

The staff was great. Breakfast was very good except they did not have bacon on Sunday's and there needed to be mushrooms, onions for the scrambled eggs. Newer decor in the rooms. Bright colors. Like pastel colors.

I go to San Diego every year, we normally stay near city center but this year we were going to Legoland and chose to stay I'm Oceanside. The staff is great, super friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Clean comfortable rooms and plenty of parking. Close enough to the beach.

The review I give for this trip is about a 2.5. Musky smelling room, condom found by bed, there was no way I could of ate breakfast there. Disappointed for it being a Howard Johnson Hotel. Will not stay here again.

Professional friendly service, good breakfast, nice room but transients wander about the property after dark. Management says they are addressing this security issue. Small issues: broken but functional desk lamp shade, high tech A/C controls difficult to master.

The rooms were clean and comfortable although a little dated? Staff were very friendly and super helpful! The property at a whole was very clean. The pool area was well kept amd an enjoyable space. The included breakfast provided many choices to give you energy for the day!

Good stay, good location, not overly luxurious, but got the job done. I would go back and stay again. The bathrooms could use a little updating, and the beds were just okay, that said, not a bad place.

Close to the freeway, but didn't notice the noise in the room. We were traveling southbound on our way to the hotel so access was not a problem. Nice pool and spa. Great breakfast with many options. We did not explore the surrounding area.

Not that great of a hotel experience. Super noisy in the morning at 745am with construction crews working on doors. Swimming pool surface at 3pm full of bugs, flys and bees. Breakfast not that great with a "rush felling" to get down and get out of the room. TV remotes did not work and took 3 trips to and from office to correct.

The hotel staff was very nice. The rooms were clean (we had 2), and overall it was a very nice stay. Front desk staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Joy did her best to make our stay of 4 nights an enjoyable one. Chris helped my mother and sister like a true gentleman. The ladies in charge of cleaning the rooms were truly nice, and deserve strong recognition for heir helpful nature throughout our stay. AC units were exceptionally efficient and made our stay very pleasant. Close enough to the beach, freeways, and most amenities, the Best Western Oceanside Inn deliver in value, should mention the free breakfast every day, and nice attitudes throughout the property from all staff, plus it was quiet at night. Nice play, for sure.

Room was very comfort and clean. The spa was dirty so we did not use. Most of the Best Westerns we visited did not need a deposit and I am happy to say the deposit was not need here either. Thank you for allowing me to participate in this survey

it was well into the evening when we found ourselves in need of accommodations that would be affordable and clean. I called Best Western Oceanside Inn and front desk clerk Chris answered. From then, through arrival and check out, he bent over backwards to make sure my mother and I were comfortable and well cared for. He took the initiative to carry our bags up to our rooms on the second floor and offered to retrieve them at check out. His demeanor was attentive and sincere. Even my mother had nothing but good things to say about him and our stay, which is high praise as she's elderly and quite a stickler! The breakfast was more than sufficient. The rooms were spacious, clean. The grounds as well were well kept. Nearly every staff member was genuinely friendly. Looking forward to our next opportunity to be in the area. I know where I'll book. Best Western Oceanside was like being home away from home. Such a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. Location is great too. Though it's right off of I-5, no noise. I slept like a baby. Thanks again Chris for all of your kindness.

I've stayed at this hotel every time I come to Oceanside to escape the desert heat. It's always been my favorite retreat. A caring staff, a full breakfast, a pool and spa...and near the ocean. Always a relaxing stay.

Except for shorten breakfast time and no coffee in the lobby, this is an pretty good place for the money. It is clean (no pets), good breakfast items, nice hot tub and super location. Although close to the freeway, had no noise and there is ample parking.

Worked well for our needs. We travelled without booking a hotel and this one suited our needs. Rooms are comfortable, balcony was nice at night time. Not to mention outdoor pool and hot tub. Wish the beds were a bit bigger was all.

A two -floor outside corridor old style and well- kept motel. near highway and railway.Room is small with 2 double beds but very clean and in good orders.Staffs were very friendly and helpful,Free breakfast was very good and with many choices.Easy to find restaurants at short distant. This is an old Motel that needs some TLC. Only half of the equipment in the work out center works. Cleaned the room Saturday and took the Kleenex. If we ever go back to Oceanside California again this Motel would be my last pick. Also the Guide on the TV doesn't work. The guide will come up but you can't scroll it.

We had two rooms, both big, clean and comfortable. In the rooms there is wifi, microwave and fridge which was very handy. The rooms were looking to the pool. The beach is 30 min by walk and the conexion to the main road to go to the surroundings is few metres from the hotel, which was very helpful for us as we were traveling to Fallbroock and San Diego during our days there. There is a gas station just around the corner with a store open until late. The breakfast was great with fruits, cereals, breads, buns...and we could make our own Pancakes/waffles!

Stopped over for one night in Oceanside. Found BW Oceanside on Trip Advisor and gave them a call. Front desk held room without demanding credit. Friendly and efficient check-in followed by great area information and feedback about dining choices from Joy at the front desk. Room was large,clean and fully appointed with fridge and microwave. Comfy king bed and good lighting along with good wifi and big flat-screen. Pool and hot-tub were clean and working! Streets are a bit noisy and yes, the coastal Amtrak rolls through town; both easily mitigated by quiet and efficient AC. Many breakfast choices including fresh eggs, bacon, roast potatoes and the famous BW waffle machine. Property is clean, well maintained with free parking, centrally located and, again, great front desk! Only con: Coffee from concentrate and only flavored Coffee-Mate or whole milk in breakfast room and usual weak in-room coffee. Hey, for well under a hundred bucks, on the California coast, I am a very happy camper.

This is an excellent hotel for the price. GREAT BREAKFAST, comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend. This is the second time that we stayed there. Our son is a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton and this is a great choice for families coming to visit. It's about 5 minutes to the main gate.

Location is really close to the beach & pier, plenty shops in walking distance. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and WiFi was strong, they have a pool and a hot tub a small laundry and a hot breakfast with bacon every other day with eggs potatoes and all the other goodies. Great place and reasonable, only downfall is noise from the I-5 interstate and a passenger train across the street that blows it's horn every 15 20 minutes.

If price is your concern this is the place, the service was good. The unit needed to be cleaned deeper and some property maintenance issues need some more detail. The property had a decent size pool, and fitness center, as well as available onsite laundry for use by guests. Personally my bed was very uncomfortable and the bath tub had several cracks.

Great location! Close to Starbucks, grocery store and best of all Legoland. You are 10 minutes away from legoland and right off the freeway. Breakfast is included so take advantage . Rooms are comfy but you might hear the train.

We got to this hotel after a long drive. The rooms had a strange smell and weren't very clean. My son's socks were filthy just from walking on the carpet a short while. The rooms are very basic but will do for one night. The staff were very friendly. Especially the woman restocking the breakfast room. The breakfast was very good and had a lot of variety. That said I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Arriving at BW Oceanside, we were pleased with the exterior presentation. At check in, we were greeted by Chris, who went above and beyond in ensuring our stay would be enjoyable. Thanks Chris!! And the same could be said about Joy on checkout. Another personality who goes above and beyond. Thanks Joy! The room (234) was spacious and the bed was comfortable and although located near a freeway, was quiet with the windows closed. A/C was quiet and worked well. The breakfast was great with a large choice of items from which to choose; Eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffles, cereal, toast, bagel, yogurt or fruit. The pool although unheated, was pleasant to swim in and the heated spa warmed you nicely afterwards. The most notable BAD thing about the room was the tub. In more than 50 years of travel I can honestly say I have never been offered a room where there was a hole in the tub!! In fact, this fiberglass unit had two, but the worst offender was the 2" X 1/2 doozie at the foot end. The other smaller hole (1" X 1/8") was at the head end and was deteriorating. Although there was lots of water pressure for the shower, the sink could only manage a little more than a dribble. Although the rooms are non smoking, past guests had smoked on the balcony (against house rules) and left their "butt cup" on the balcony. The drapes reeked of stale smoke. If these issuse can be fixed, this will be a great place to stay and good value for the dollar. As an aside, Joy stated she had not heard of any problems with that room so that would mean that housekeeping is not reporting issues to management. That should give management cause to rethink their maintenance reporting system.

For the money/value, best customer service I've ever received Andrea in the breakfast area is a rock star. Best Western should clone her and put one of her in each hotel in BW world Joy and Carmelita in the check in were also exemplary employees. Made my stay here great...thanks to you all

Our stay at Best Western didn't start off well. Unit was dark, dingy and smelly, not to mention their were pubic hairs in the shower. Lovely employee Joy moved us to a better room and that's the reason for a 3 rating, otherwise it would have been 1. Joy went above and beyond which made the stay much more pleasant.

Loved the stay at Best Western Oceanside Inn. The personnel was great at making us feel welcomed. We had an amazing stay! Thank you... The kids especially loved the pool and breakfast. We want to thank the breakfast/cafeteria personnel for offering and providing us with options to a delicious and nutritious breakfast (especially for our "picky eater"). Thank you very much.

Needing to be in the Oceanside CA area every other week for an overnight, I found this gem right off of the 5 freeway. Great, quiet location, close to the pier, and many other great beach front restaurants. Hotel has a pool and jacuzzi, and a decent morning breakfast. Friendly staff, and adequate lit parking.

This is the 3rd time we stayed and this motel, and we will be back. Everything was great! Location was great, right on the main highway. Access to restaurants and relatives was great. Loved their breakfasts!

Excellent front desk staff person who is also bilingual. Great WiFi Internet. Pool and hot tub were outside. Good breakfast especially if you have a business meeting to go to first thing in the morning. Very clean.

I loved the location. the staff was nice. The hotel was a little older than I expected but it was clean.I think the biggest issue we had was trying to locate the ice machines. That's about it. cool spot.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good with lots of choices. Pastries, fruits, and waffles are just some of the breakfast items they offer. The only down point is the room is old and could use an upgrade.

We came down for a soccer tournament and the price was great, the rooms were very clean!! & the breakfast options were great for the team to have a good breakfast. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, juices, milk, cereals, toast. Great value for the price and everything was close by!

The breakfast here was hands out great and worth the stay alone. They had a very friendly staff and the rooms were cleaned well during our stay. Minutes drive to Oceanside Beach area. Would stay here again for sure. Only gave it 4 stars because the ceiling is popcorn and cracking a bit and is a bit outdated.

Location was great and place was good. You are next to train tracks so be ready for the noise. Lots of places close by Starbucks and gas stations. Close to the freeway and legoland. It's a good price for what you get.

Based on reviews, this seemed like the best, cleanest hotel for the price in Oceanside. It was. The hotel is not fancy, but it's clean, it's attractive, it's well-staffed. If I had a complaint, it's that the towels are thin. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was edible - they had waffles - and almond milk! - and chocolate syrup. Understand, this is not a Sofitel. Or even a Holiday Inn. But if you are looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with a nice pool at a good price, this is it. If I go back, I will stay there again.

We were not disappointed with our decision to stay here. Our room, even though it was on the corner right next to the parking lot, was amazingly quiet -- but for the person walking around upstairs and the running of shower water through pipes. Two of three nights I had the best sleep ever in a hotel. Location was close to I-5, but interstate noise was obsolete. Breakfast was good -- the standard continental fare of dry cereals, pastries and waffles, but it was fresh and tasty. We attended a cycling event on Saturday morning and napped into early afternoon following the event. Housekeeping saw us exit our room and, to my surprise, went in and tidied it up while we were out. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Get a room away from the pool. For some reason, the music played loudly by the pool for the ENTIRE night. Room was average. Uncomfortable bed. Average service. Stayed one night before a cruise. Beach is close, but you have to walk a block for access.

This property is older and I noticed upon entry that it's in need of some outside repairs and painting. Plenty of parking although parking lot is tight. Check in was easy and staff were professional. All king rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator and only stairs at the end of the buildings...something to consider if you have alot of luggage. Room is a little outdated too. Room door needs new weather stripping to keep out drafts. Curtains are old and do not black out the room. That being said there is a nice balcony but the porch light stays on all night and you can't turn it off. Decent TV but the remotes need to be updated. Mini fridge motor is about to burn out so it makes noise often. Bed was actually comfy and there was enough pillows. Warm blankets too. Bathroom area is on the small side but it works. Ac/heater unit is hella inefficient and left the room cool all the time even though at night it was 50 out. Breakfast was not bad at all. It wasn't held in a tiny room and they had hot and cold foods. Lots of variety. Pool and spa were clean and maintained. All in all this is not a bad property at all. It's quiet and served my needs.

This hotel is not within waling distance of the beach. But we knew that going in. The rooms are very large with plenty of floor space and double sinks in the bath. If your looking for a good value with no frills this is the place. Our service was very good our room was clean and comfortable.

Not the newest and most up-to date Best Western you can find but it is clean, has friendly staff and is at a great location. Has everything you need, including fridge and microwave. Breakfast is good, pool is clean. I stayed here several times and will stay here again.

Great place to stay, It not to far from restaurants and gas and real close to highway so it easy in and out. Our beds was clean and comfortable. Everything was clean and smell great, staff very friendly and greet you with smiles. love the color in our rooms, just a great hotel, and plenty of smiles.

My Husband & I are thinking about moving to Oceanside, we didn't want to stay to close to the beach because we wanted a REALISTIC feel of what it would be like to live in Oceanside. This Bestwestern Hotel was perfect for our needs, it was close to where we would like to live. We are going to stay here again soon when we come back to look at some open house!

this is a great location . More towels would help and only one bar of soap in the room if you get a 1st floor room the Patio doors Do Not open!!! I was told by the front desk that it is for SECURITY reasons. Made me wonder how safe the place was. the pool is nice.

walked to cvs saw twelve homeless in three blocks ,drugs shopping cart life. Very aggressive, hotel acted like this is normal, Said to be carefull Noisie ,freeway adjacent Stinky sewer smells in morning Never again.....

Excellent and attentive staff!. Very, very clean and extremely well-maintained. Wonderful breakfast. I have stayed several times and it is ALWAYS a great place to stay. Located in such a position as to have easy access to many, many attractions and amenities.

From start to finish it was definitely above average quality at this seemingly humble BW location. The front desk girl was kind enough to print us out a list of places we could go to do stand-up paddle boarding (which was the main reason why we wanted to stay close to the beach). Our room was tidy and comfortable, with an easy to use AC system, which was a welcomed relief from the August heat we were dealing with. The bed was cozy too, as I fell asleep like a kitten as soon as my head hit the pillow. The star of our stay though was breakfast time. The waffle batter was especially sweet and ended up making some of the tastiest waffles I've ever had ever! Aside from that, this BW has a very extensive breakfast buffet. Breads, cereals, eggs, potatoes, meats, yogurts, juices, fresh fruits, the works! I left so full I thought I wasn't going to be able to stand up on my paddle board later. Don't judge this place by its seemingly inconvenient location by the freeway, the walls were actually decently soundproof. It turned out to be a great value, with great food, and a great team. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

We stayed in this hotel for a day from a very tiring day at Legoland Resort and Water park. Room was clean though the bathroom shower needs work but overall our stay was a great experience. Breakfast was fulfilling.

Stayed here Labor Day weekend for a soccer tournament. Price was too high for the hotel, but understandable for the weekend. Only if the rooms were as updated as the lobby! Rooms were decent and clean, just outdated. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I had some issues with my A/C and television and they were fixed right away! Breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast, nothing more. I did wish they had vanilla creamer for the coffee. They do ask for your room number in the breakfast area, which was NOT irritating in any way as some reviewers have stated. I did notice quite a few homeless in the area and possibly that is why. Maybe some have tried to come in. There was a homeless man passed out in the bushes one day. Pool and hot tub were great and the laundry facilities got used by our group. My room opened up to the freeway and I did not hear any noise at night! The location was perfect for our needs. Probably would not stay here again, although not at any fault to the hotel.

I do stay in best western alot this year.. what make me decide to stay in best westerns is not the good reviews I see how the handle the bad reviews there were 2 recent ones that stood out..One was about the BBQ thing I dont know if you read the add clearly they said they were not gonna use it. but use it at the beach I guess it was expensive and did not want it to get it stolen. How the best western could of handle it at this location would l have offer hold it for them in a secure place until they were ready to take it to the beach.. I have had stuff like that held for me at other best western if i wasnt allowed to take it to my room but they always hold secure stuff for me.. instead of trying to kick people out...or at unless come to a compromise..talk things out ... the other thing I notice is the one about checking in early .. yes most rooms are not ready until 3 or 4pm but I had sitautions were I was early cause of plane flights or trains or for whatever reason... the way this bestwestern could of handle it is let the person check in but till them the room wont be ready till this time.... well the bestwestern I have stayed will let me hangout in the lobby or the pool area till the room is done and that gives me time to rest....and a lot of the time best westerns would offer me water cause it has been hot... a lot of this people are traveling from different places and there tired and just want to have a place to rest that they book of couse some might be to early offer them a something so they can at least feel like you want there servise as a customer... i have read your respones to a lot of the complaints...and there very defensive,,, here is what I would say about the BBQ hey we cant have the BBQ in the hotel rooms cause of a fire hazard I know your not gonna use it. just a hotel polices but we would be glad to hold it for you in secure area until your ready to go the beach. here is what I would say about the early check if they had reservation Yes its too early to get a rooms they are still cleaning the room..It should be ready at this time , it might be a wile but if you would like waitin in the lobby or relax by the pool area... .. here is a bottle of water . we thank you for being a best western custmer... I have seen other complaints that you can handle better.. and try no use the generic thing you guys use when you say we are compliance with the best western standard that just seems more of a cop out..try to work and understand bad situation a little better Most best western go beyond and better the situation not saying your a bad hotel just saying you couild of handle things better

Everything was good. very clean and staff was very helpful specially the front desk clerk Sarath. Breakfast was good. We would stay here again. I would recommend this Motel to all travelers to stay at and the price was right.

Wonderful hotel experience, hot breakfast with eggs and sausage, beds were great for sleeping and staff was very friendly. I feel like I made a great choice with this hotel and I hope that you guys like it to! 5 mins from Legoland, half a mile from the ocean and Bucaneer Beach Park, and very centrally located. Parking lot is kinda tight, but no accidents!

Don't ask for anything extra, all you get is refused and rudeness. Does't matter your age, he is just plain rude. Breakfast was very good and the rest of the help very friendly. Refused to enter my B/W Card Number because we had a gift card from B/W.

Well, I needed to be in Oceanside CA, for two days, so I like the good ol' Best Western Inns. This location is awesome. Great lighted parking lot, clean pool, very quiet evenings, and friendly service. Another plus- right next to the 5 freeway. Rooms- super clean, floors CLEAN!!!

Poor hotel staff. Unpredictable things happen here. Staff takes and with holds personal belongings,calling the police on our family, being accused and thrown out with children late in the night. This all became a nightmare. We placed our Webar BBQ on our hotel patio because there were vagrants and homeless people sleeping outside near the hotel parking lot. We did not want our BBQ stolen because we were going to use the BBQ along with our Boogie boards the following day on our trip at the beach. Hotel staff gave us 30 minutes to pack and leave at 10 o clock in the evening. We were visiting Legoland for our sons 9th birthday from the Bay Area. We had a hard time finding another hotel at such a busy time of summer.

I stay here & it's pretty decent. However, I needed to check in early due to I'm traveling from lv and needed to sleep prior continuing my journey. I needed a room to sleep 8a and leave by 8p to skip all the traffic. However The hotel wouldn't allow me to check in at all until 3pm. The hotel manager was not helpful at all want to charge me 2 nights to stay in this motel for 12 hours. I do understand the policy however the manager was not accommodating at all. In fact, this manager wouldn't even give me his name. He state "I Dnt have to give you my name so what you can report me." The place would've been good place to stay but the employee is definitely rude and Dnt care about their customer at all. This place is right off the freeway so convenient and looks clean but manager is definitely failed in customer service. So I rather give me business to another hotel. If you choose to stay I hope you Dnt have a complains or problems coz it they will definitely will not accommodate your needs at all.

For the money and location our stay was as expected. Management and staff were very professional , very curtious. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast daily was very good. Very impressed with management and all staff. This is not the Hilton it is Best Western. Great value for the money. Great rate for time of year and location.

This was a GREAT deal ! We had access to laundry facilities, we had free breakfast every morning with many choices both hot and cold, a VERY comfortable bed, the new carpet made the room very cozy, we had a desk/chair, and a separate chair/ottoman for watching tv, free HBO, a SUPER friendly staff and I mean everyone that worked there !! This is a great deal - there's NO comparison to the other BW we stayed at in a diff location earlier in the week - this one deserves a medal !!! It's even right by the highway on/off ramp. Easy access. Heavy curtains to keep the sun out until you wake. Hot tub/pool access, they even have a disabled chair to lower you into the pool ! Free computer/printer access.

We were very pleased with the room and the amenities. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. I would recommend this Best Western to everyone. The resturants in the area are very good also. Dave P.

The staff was great but the rooms left a lot to be desired. Very outdated and low quality. It met our needs but for the price that we paid, almost $1,000 for 5 nights, I felt that the rooms should have been nicer.

I have stayed at this particular hotel a few times over the past 5 years and make it my only place to rest my head while in Oceanside. The staff is outstanding, the grounds clean, breakfast just right and the room cozy. They are making small changes to update the rooms but overall you can't find a better place to relax and enjoy the area. I highly recommend you give this place a try. Look forward to my next visit.

The BW was easy to find being right off of I-5. Check in was great and we found our upper floor room to be very comfortable. We also found the breakfast to be very appealing and tasty! A great place to stay when in Oceanside.

We booked this via Hotwire on a last minute trip to San Diego. I was taking my kids down to Legoland, Seaworld and other San Diego attractions for several days. Apparently, the week we went was a popular week to be in San Diego because there weren't a lot of hotel rooms left. I went out to Hotwire and when they said the person who last booked through them got a Best Western, I briefly looked at the pictures on the Oceanside website and it looked okay. We've also stayed at many Best Westerns and they were good enough, so I booked it. We stayed there for 3 nights. After arriving at the hotel, I referred to it as a "dump", but to be fair, it did seem sort of clean. It's just extremely run down and dated. Our room looked like it had been decorated in the 1960's and possibly not updated since. I find that hard to believe, but the room reeked of prior cigarette smoke and I don't think smoking's been allowed in hotel rooms for quite some time. The rooms are small and when we went, it was 100 degrees out most days. We had a small AC unit in the room that was incredibly difficult to adjust. We had the unit on low and slept all three nights with freezing cold air blowing in our faces. The showers have built in shower gel and shampoo dispensers - or so I thought. In the middle of the night, because these things only happen in the middle of the night, the entire unit flipped off the wall. As I discovered in the morning, it was only mounted onto the tile walls with sticky tape. It made an incredibly loud crash as it fell into the tub, waking me up. Finally, someone else mentioned the "breakfast police". I've stayed at several Best Westerns where this has happened, but the minute you walk in the breakfast room, they hunt you down and drill you for your room number. They first asked my kids and then me. How many times do you have to ask? It's really offputting, I have to say. I guess I understand why they're doing it, but it's really annoying and sends the message that "we don't trust you". The breakfast is your standard free breakfast fare - nothing healthy whatsoever. Sugared cereals, sugared yogurts, sugared sweet roles, waffles with sugared syrup, etc.... The good? My kids liked the pool and hot tub, but to be honest, that's not a very high bar. It's not terribly close to the attractions. The one it is close to is Legoland (about 10 mins). We hit Seaworld (30 mins away), the Wild Animal Park (30 mins away) and Knott's Berry Farm (1 hour away) with our San Diego Go Card. So, don't pick this place for location. And another note on location, it's in a really sketchy area. It's right off the freeway (I-5), so you hear all the freeway noise, and right across from a mobile home park. So, you won't be taking any pictures of this place. That's about it. I wouldn't stay here again. I think the beds were clean, but there's little else to attract someone to this place.

The Best Western Oceanside had a great location right off the freeway just a mile from the beach and three miles from the Pier. The room was fresh and clean with a comfortable bed. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was abundant, but could use real eggs and lean meat. The large gym had five cardio machines and a Nautalus machine. Very quiet relaxing stay.

Little, blue-collar and camo-collar Oceanside is growing up, getting gussied-up to be the new coastal darling of Southern California. Nothing quite epitomizes this transition like the Best Western Oceanside Inn. The layout of the motel proudly screams 1960s design with a central pool courtyard and balconies and patios mainly facing toward the pool. The lobby was modernized, but my room was as generic as they come. There are some other nice 1960s features in my room including a front door right under the outside stairwell (Room 142?) with a door that has to be slammed shut from the inside. By the way, the south side of the motel seemed to have an interior corridor, but the side next to the freeway just had a sidewalk and parking spaces. The interior of the room is small, functional, with two full beds, a table, two chairs, a microwave and fridge. The room was clean and the wall air conditioner (works by remote control only) kept me well-chilled, although my daughter was freezing. The carpet was worn but seemed clean. At least my bare feet didn't turn black walking across the room. The bathroom is small with one sink and a toilet that must have been salvaged from an elementary school kid's bathroom. It was tiny and low to the ground, what a PR person might call "streamlined" or "space-saver." I call it a dang small target and I am not good at long distance aiming, especially at 3 am. We used the workout room for about 20 minutes: a good multi-function weight station, a couple of stationary bikes and a treadmill. Also, there is a TV set to a music station and a stack of pool towels to dry off with as well. But the place was a sauna, with the thermostat set at 80 degrees F, and locked behind a discarded Tupperware plastic container. I think I lost 5 pounds sitting on the exercise bike before I even started pedaling. One big negative: upon check-in I was informed that the sliding door to my patio has been "bolted shut due to insurance reasons." I am not sure what that means, especially since the rooms on the second floor seemed to have full use of their balconies. Maybe not a big deal to you, but I took into account use of the patio when weighing the price of the room. Another big negative: breakfast. After that sweat-box workout, I was eager to refuel so I would not lose my beer-keg physique. The food itself was typical: eggs, meat, potatoes, cereal, pastries, fruit and waffles. What was not typical is the iron-fist control the staff place on the breakfast. Rule #1: there is a check-in list at the door. The group in front of me was turned away because not everyone from the room was at the breakfast room together. Huh?!?! Rule #2: Absolutely no food can leave the breakfast room unless it is already digesting in your stomach. Rule #3: A staff member has to make your waffles. Yes it is the same rotating waffle machine you see in every other breakfast room, but somebody makes them for you here. A nice touch? Maybe, but.... Rule #4: There were tip jars in multiple locations in the breakfast room. And while tipping is not compulsory, the message was clear: the owners must not pay their staff very well. What does it all add up to? My guess is that the management is actively discouraging vagrancy -- and there are still plenty of homeless people in Oceanside-- but I did not see any vagrant issues at the motel itself. So their tactics, heavy-handed as they are, might be working. Or maybe transients have a higher desire of freedom of movement than can be found at the Best Western Oceanside Inn.

Overall a great experience. There is a filling breakfast bar (BTW the oatmeal is delicious). It is good for families, especially with young children, because Legoland is very close. Clean, Quiet, and smiling staff. It would be a hotel to return to.

Very pleasant staff... helpful and made sure my grandson and I had a comfortable room. We were very late arrivals; but they were okay with it. We referred by another BW further away as they were full; BW Oceanside Inn still had a few rooms. The breakfast room is large and the young lady working there made sure guests had what they needed; she kept things stocked; made the waffles and served the other hot items. Delightful young lady.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this Best Western because of the little things the hotel employees did so well. From the friendly and helpful front desk staff, to the ultra tidy breakfast area, to the smiling meal servers, we were very impressed. We left our sliding glass patio door open to enjoy the evening breezes, and even though the freeway sounds were closer than ideal, our overall experience was very good. Sarath at the front desk was so courteous in suggesting running routes, sharing stories, and providing help when I was locked out of my room after returning from a run. The rates were very reasonable and we will definitely recommend!

No matter the occasion, may it be for leisure or my home remodeling. I ALWAYS book here at the Best Western Oceanside Inn. From check-in until check-out, the front desk staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The rooms are always comfortable and inviting, due to the efforts of their excellent housekeeping team. Of course none of this could be possible, if not for the the exceptional management overseen by Mr. Savath. He emulates hospitality at its finest. So, thank you Mr. Savath for each and every smile that greets me anytime I walk through the lobby.

Staff was nice; ocean is just mins away; eating options are available; but the property is old, small and smelly. It needs a good overhaul. And the price was no bargain. The back parking lot felt seedy, hence bright parking lights burned all night, seeping through the drapes.

Great value. Very quiet which is surprising because it's located near the highway. Perfect location close to the hwy and 5 min drive to the ocean. Very clean. Nice beds, good size room and bathroom. I'll be back for sure.

I had prepaid my reservation , at around 10 am they called me to harass me on my reservation I said I could switch to a a king bed instead of two queen, than they later ( 2pm, check in was not until 3 pm) to "see" if I was still coming I said yes after work . At 8 pm front desk Yvette Ramiez was too busy "texting on her phone " After waiting 20 min had to ask again if I could check in , I showed my id if she looked up screen than went back texting I again asked if I can checked in she than said the locks to the rooms do not work and I would be excorted to my room, I said ok, can I check in than she did more texting took a personal phone call than said she did not have a room for me, I said it was pre paid thur Expedia , I showed her my conformation she said to contact them , so I did after 45 min I was relocated (9:30 pm) at a different hotel! ( much nicer, people and room, )

We were part of a 17 man Race Across America team. If you are looking for a 2 star hotel then this is fine but set your expectations appropriately. You are nowhere near the ocean and the freeway with its noise is very close by. To get a good coffee you need to drive. Breakfast was reasonable.

We stayed there for two nights. The first thing we noticed was the well-groomed and beautiful grounds. There was plenty of parking. Staff was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. Rooms were spacious. LOVED the balcony. Quiet neighborhood, close to beaches, camp Pendleton and shopping. Breakfast was well put together, very friendly staff and tasted great. Next visit to Oceanside we will definitely be staying there again.

It is a older motel but seemed to be updated on the inside and was a very good value for the area. It doesn't have a view of the ocean or anything fancy but its close to lots of places to visit. The rooms and furnishing are nice and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean and smelled clean.

Our original room odor was due to previous patrons smoking in the room. It was definitely a lingering cigarette odor. The first offer was to spray the room, which would have made it worse. We changed rooms, and the new room was perfect. The manager was polite enough to follow up and make sure that we were satisfied. He tried to justify the room odor by telling us that it was caused by renovations at the hotel. A line of crap for sure. One should just admit and acknowledge the problem and move on. The location is excellent. The customer service was excellent.

Hotel is under renovation so I cant give a full review.breakfast was organized and well monitored. Rooms are older and basic. If you need a place just to sleep and shower, which is what we did, this is a affordable get what you pay for hotel.

Took my grandson on vacation to LEGOLAND and was trying not to spend a fortune on hotels, so we chose this one for the price and close distance to LEGOLAND. The quality was certainly commiserate with the quality of the hotel.

Excellent stay for the night. We had to pick up our daughter from UCSD next day. Great stay over and relaxed for next day. The breakfast was very convenient for our need and saved us valuable time .....

We were pulling a trailer, and needed a place to get some sleep before continuing our trip. The front desk staff was helpful, and accommodating. They gave us a reasonable rate, and let us park in a large loading type area on the property. The hotel definitely needs to be renovated. That being said, I could tell that the cleaning staff went above and beyond to keep things looking as nice as possible. I would not choose this hotel if I planned a vacation in the area, but if you just need a place for night at a reasonable rate, I think most people would find it acceptable.

Excellent management and service. Good breakfast, part waitress served. Walking distance to local convenience store, eating and beach. Good pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was comfortable - in fact I cannot fault it. Would definitely recommend it and stay there if in the area again.

Everything was fine. Clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Two items with TV and lighting did not work but both were fixed immediately. Maid service people were very helpful and friendly. Spa was great and beds were perfect. The motel was being remodeled when we stayed and we were placed in a remodeled room so I would assume that some negative reviews were before the renovation. Our family of 4 was very happy with our stay here.

Generally like Best Western for their affordable rates and the occassional diamond in the rough. This BW is on the older side even for BW but the real issue was getting a receipt for one amount and being charged more on my cc (so far - still working on getting a correction!)

We came from michigan and stayed at some sketchy places on our way to california, this hotel was cheaper than most other places we stayed and very nice, especially for the price. The breakfast staff was nice and so was the front desk. It is close to the beach and the rooms were clean, highly recommend

This hotel is noisey, lights on side of curtains, you can't take your breakfast to room because owner says it'll make a mess yet they have room service of food, beds are full size for the price of a queen not a quality hotel.

while the hotel was clean, the hotel manager was arrogant, rude and actually called the police on me because i told him his blow dryer was not working. he then told me i would have to pay for it since i broke it. i told him that if i was paying for it, i wanted it. he then actually called the police on me! i am a 52 year old R.N. with 2 kids who came for vacation. do yourself a favor. some people were not meant to deal with the public. he is one of them. go to the holiday inn or quality inn down the road!

The Oceanside, Ca. Best Western has a friendly staff who provide exceptional service. I extended my stay there twice and the staff worked with me to accomplish this. They were professional and courteous, and treated me with respect.

I arrived way to late to be able to use the pool or other amenities. So just getting my head down to sleep after sorting out a few emails was all I had time for. For that the hotel is perfect. It's RIGHT next to Interstate 5 yet the traffic cannot be heard. I have driven past this hotel for years and wondered what it is like. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is outside but I had no time to use it (arrived at 9:15pm), which was a real shame. Awoke feeling relaxed and ready to start a new day - perfect. Will stay here again next time I am in the area but will try to get there before 6:30pm.

the pool and jacuzzi were so clean like brand new all the staff are awesome and pleasant even the breakfast is above avereage the rooms are roomy plenty of space and right on oceanside blvd gotta love the location close to freeway easy to get around starbucks across the street great shopping close by perfect place for cali getaway

Older motel but they keep it up. Plenty of amenities in room, good reading light, table and chairs, sink and counter separate from toilet/shower over bath. Sliding glass door out to patio. Good full breakfast in spacious room.

I arrived too early to check in, but the woman at the front desk was very helpful when we discovered that my message for my requests was not in the computer. She also allowed me to use the facilities even though I wasn't checked in. The gentleman working the evening shift was also extremely helpful. I had requested a room close to the office and they were able to accommodate that. The room was very clean and quiet and didn't smell like cigarettes at all.. The only complaint is that there is no outdoor access from the patio door. It wasn't an issue since I do not smoke. I was pleased that the location is only a half mile from Oceanside Beach and the rates are not excessive. Although that may be because I stayed in the middle of the week. Breakfast was good and the staff there was also friendly. It was too cool to take advantage of the pool, but the jacuzzi was clean and operational and I was able to use that. All in all a very good experience.

Nice, clean, well maintained and professionally run. This facility is right along I-5 with easy access to all of the Oceanside and Carlsbad area. Breakfast is typical BW fare with a large breakfast area. Very close to the main business area in Oceanside with lots of choices for lunch and dinner as well as easy access to the beach areas, Leggo Land, etc. Good value for the price. Internet connection is quick, nice pool and workout area and a very friendly, helpful and professional staff.

Very well pleased with facilities and staff. Room was very clean, comfortable, and did not hear any outside noises from hallways or roadsides. Breakfast was good..only thing missing was the gravy and biscuits. Would definitely recommend and have no problem staying at this hotel again. My rating...4 stars out of 5.

Freeway accessible and close to Buccaneer Beach/ with Free parking and less crowds. Nice pool/spa. Pleasant rooms. Excellent service. Have stayed two times. Last year and again this year. Will go back another time this year and recommend to friends and family.

Didn't want to do the usual(and just go home) after playing bingo in Del Mar, didn't win darn it, so we stayed at this BW. Made the reservation through HotelTonight so my rewards card wasn't accepted ??. Room was clean, nicely appointed. King bed. Small balcony. Good breakfast, but eggs are package. Could use some gravy. They do have waffles, which they make for you. During week you need to be an early riser because breakfast is over at nine am??. I don't care to be up that early if I don't need to be on a day off. Pool and hot tub. Maybe be an older hotel, but it is well maintained. No noticeable oders.

Good location, clean, quiet & well equipped room (great aircon, good fidge, newer flat screen hd tv and high-speed free internet. Complimentary hot breakfast, clean outdoor pool & spa, self-serve laundry facility. Helpful, friendly staff.

Maybe we just had bad luck staying in a ground floor room but I can definitely not recommend staying there. The air was humid and muggy and even though we set the a/c to maximum ventilation and cooling it wouldn't help. Our next idea was to open the terrace door which was locked for security reasons. Mentioning this deficiency at the front desk only lead to the advice that there are no other rooms of the same category available and being offered anything else. Besides that the room was acceptable but pretty outdated. The breakfast was very basic. I would not come back.

This is an older hotel but it is well maintained. The staff were friendly, the included continental breakfast was great. Free wifi worked fine. We were fortunate to have a room facing away from the freeway so noise was not a problem. Would stay there again.

Hotel allowed us to check in early. This is a very old hotel, but is keep in decent shape. Uses a printed circuit board as a door key, very antiquated. Room is small, but clean. Very strict about no smoking, in fact they require a $100 deposit to ensure you don't smoke. Don't use your debit card, it takes almost a week before any deposit money goes back into your account. Free breakfast, but they dish out to you, so you can't make a pig of yourself. The waffles are very small, but good. The day we were there kids had taken over the pool, but it was chilly anyway. If I ever stay in this area again, I will try a different hotel.

Was a decent Hotel but the noise from the freeway was insane! . I just wish the Hotel wasn't right next the freeway. Due to the noise it was very hard to sleep. The staff was very friendly and made you feel welcomed.

This hotel has an excellent location, clean rooms, super friendly staff, great breakfast and a perfect workout room. The rooms are a bit rough (chipped paint on wood trim) but they are clean and have everything you need. The internet connection was constant and fast the entire 4 days we stayed. The staff was professional and took time to answer any questions or offer help. They even had washers and dryers which were welcome after our extended trip! We were happy we chose this hotel for our 4 day stay. We stayed one night at several other BW, some Plus but this was the best one (most comfortable) during our 4 week trip.

There was a mix-up with our hotel reservation and a concern that there would not be a hotel room available. The manager personally corrected the mix-up and went out of his way to take care of us and make our stay a wonderful experience. He even treated us to free Pizza! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, thanks to the thoughtful manager and wonderful desk clerk!

Good middle-range accommodations and nice and handy location. Oceanside is a neat community and the US-101 Cafe is a must for breakfast. Our room was very satisfactory except for the toilet and thiiiin toilet tissue and hard to understand instructions for A/C-Heat unit and TV operation...otherwise, very comfortable.

Always stay at a Best Western. Great value for the money and always clean and friendly. The beds however are a little hard. Would like to see softer beds. But the amenities are great! I book through my AAA and get a great price. Would recommend Best Western for your next trip of pleasure or business.

Check in experience was good. You only get one key per room since they have gone away from the card key type system that most hotels have...guard it with your life. Rooms were very basic. Buffet was standard fare.

Needed to stop for the night on a trip heading to Mexico. This was right off the 5 freeway so we were somewhat afraid of the noise. Check in was fast and friendly. King bedroom had a comfy bed, microwave, coffeemaker, fridge, multiple power outlets and tv. We were pleasantly surprised that we weren't bothered by any freeway noise. It was basic but had amenities we needed for the night. Good wifi too. They allowed us to park in the registration parking spot because parking was a bit tight on a Saturday night. Breakfast was from 7-10am with the usual cereal stuff but also offered sausage, eggs and waffles. Overall a great stay for a basic best western.

The little Hotel was Perfect for us. Only 2 floors, very clean & the Staff was Very Kind & Helpful. The location made it east to get to Ocean. The Staff helped us to locate the Train Station so we could travel south, to San Diago to Old Towne & caught a Beautiful Sunset on the was back. Loved it!

We were in Oceanside for a soccer tournament, and needed a hotel close to the complex at a reasonable rate. The hotel was within minutes of fields and the beach, so we really enjoyed a weekend with the kids. The complementary breakfast had the usual cold items, but it also included waffles, eggs, potatoes and sausage links. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. We would stay here again.

Check-in was fast and motel staff was very friendly. Staff very helpful with directing me to a close by restaurant for good sea food. Room was clean and had enough room. Motel had pool and free breakfast with hot food. I enjoyed the work out room. Had an out door pool and hot tub. Does need updating in areas. Close to interstate 5, but noise was not bad, didn't notice it, but my room was not facing the interstate.Close to Oceanside pier and all beaches. Overall a good value-would definately stay here again. Don't be afraid to book this motel.

Excellent value. Friendly staff. Clean, fresh ,friendly. Near by freeway, and beaches, restaurants and Lego Land Kids, Mom and Dad loved the pool and enormous swim spa. Breakfast was hot,fresh,clean, friendly, with an assortment of foods to fit anyone's appetite.

This hotel seemed cheap for being near the beach; but you get what you pay for. Powdered eggs were horrible, extra runny... All electrical outlets almost came off the walls while unplugging chargers. Remote control was in a cardboard base stating "Clean" but had dried something on it. On the other hand it is located off freeway and is close to food and about a mile from the beach. Overall, ok for a cheap person. Not ok for a really cheap person.

Not bad for the price. Good location next to Freeway. Pretty much in between DT Carlsbad and Oceanside Pier. I stayed here for the Ironman 70.3 Oceanside and have to say that it's a good location for the race. I'll probably stay here again next year too. There is a Frazier Farms Market down the street that offers healthy food options for us picky Triathletes (other options is Whole foods which is a drive down the freeway). You can hop on PCH from the hotel for a some pre/post rides.

Great hotel, great value. Clean linens and rooms, very friendly staff. Manager is customer service oriented. Location is close to beach and Legoland, beautiful views. Small property, all amenities are within reach.

Our family of 4 including 2 kids stayed here for 4 nights and we totally enjoyed our stay. The room was #122 downstairs and it was clean and comfortable. It featured a flat screen TV with HD programming including free HBO. The complimentary breakfast was very good each morning. It included scrambled eggs, sausage, country style potatoes along with freshly made waffles. Also available was regular and decaf coffee, o.j., assorted cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruit, assorted pastries and muffins. Everything was dandy. Free wifi worked fine. Location was a plus because you stay less than a 5 minute drive to Oceanside beach, Oceanside Pier, Starbucks, McDonald's, and a gas station right next door. The ladies in the breakfast area were totally awesome and helpful! Check in and check out was a breeze without any hassles. We will surely stay here again on our next trip to Oceanside. And I would recommend this hotel for sure.

Excellent rooms, staff, breakfast, checkin process was easy.. no complaints Only issue was extremely noisy neighbour.. not sure they were drunk or what but when we checked in at 11pm or so it felt scary to kids.

Everything was great with one exception the shower is mixed up. The cold side gives you hot water and the hot side gives you cold water. Other then that I was extremely satisfied. We will stay here again!

when check out, manager keep asking they couldn't find the key, we sure left it in the room, he was saying would charge $15 from us...finally the mate found it on room's floor .....2nd, shower faucet not working right, when turn on, water came out right away from the top shower faucet, not the bottom one, cold water get to you .....surprise !!!!!! glade that wasn't winter time !

We stayed here for a week in early March. Everything went well, no problems. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast ladies. We had a nice breakfast every day including the usual but they also made waffles for us and brought them to our table. We also had eggs and sausage and sometimes potatoes. Room was very nice. 2 things to mention, but not a complaint at all. There is no elevator and you do need to go outside to get to your room from the lobby. Also had nice pool and hot tub.

Room was clean, staff very friendly, close to beach, Pendleton. Pool was cool but hot tub felt great! Towels by pool that even felt warm! Breakfast was the same everyday but it was good. Front desk was very helpful on suggestions for places to go to eat or sight see!

This hotel is minutes away from Legoland. The staff is awesome! I'm a single mom with three children and I felt safe. We encountered a problem with our room key not working and were upgraded to a better room. The included breakfast was delicious. This place offers a great bang for your bucks!

This Oceanside motel was right off the freeway, easy on and off. Close to restaurants and ocean. A little run down. Was given only 1 room key to share with my wife. Could not get shower to come on, needed to call maintenance, who responded fast and repaired. Sliding glass door was bolted shut, no fresh ocean breeze. First breakfast was served Luke warm eggs and sausage. Breakfast OK next 3 times.

Worst customer servie. I spoke to Karen and she was very rude. I requested to speak to a manager and she told me manager was in a meeting all day and would call me back. No call yet. I also asked for corporate phone number and she said she didn't have it.

The price we booked at couldn't be beat! We had two rooms downstairs, and a king room upstairs. All of our expectations were met. The hotel grounds are nicely kept. We had clean and quiet rooms, most of the staff were friendly and efficient, breakfasts were good and it's a convenient location. For those reading other reviews on this hotel, the rationed breakfasts get a bad rap. They serve plenty of food. I can't imagine needing to leave to eat more! The only thing I would suggest is to get a king room if you can. Most of the glass doors on the bottom floor are secured shut for safety, and there aren't any windows. If you require fresh air, be sure to get a room on the second floor, or one of the few on the first floor that allow you to open the door. I got 3 rooms here for the same price that one room would have cost in most of the 3-4 star rated hotels in the area.

The agents at check-in were super friendly and offered us some great ideas for dinner. I called down to the front desk a few other times and they were more than accommodating. Our beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the location has easy access on and off of Interstate 5. The breakfast was very pleasant, and a typical breakfast offered with hotel stay. The price for our room couldn't be beat. If we're ever in the area we would stay here again. My tip to anyone reading this would be to call down to the front desk and ask who delivers pizza in the area. The room service option is way too expensive!

My wife and I found the Best Western Oceanside Inn in Oceanside CA to be disappointing. Though the service was excellent, our room was not. The check in/check out clerk was professional, kind and witty. We were told our room was in an area that had just been renovated so we were looking forward to seeing our room. We liked the sliding doors. We were able to open the doors and enjoy the cool breeze. We also took advantage of being able to pull up our car for easy loading and unloading of our luggage. The bed was comfortable and had both firm and soft pillows. The breakfast area was very well kept and managed by two of the sweetest persons you will ever meet. One handled the egg, meat, and potato station while the other made waffles to order. The tables, chairs and counters were constantly being kept clean. We disliked the fact that the air conditioning would not work well. We kept reading the instructions but were unable to get it to work properly. At one point, it got to 79 degrees in our room. It was fortunate that most of the time we were in our room during the evening hours when the outside temps were pleasant. We also opened the sliding doors to allow cool air to circulate. The TV remote was not working well either. You had press the channel button so hard to change the channel that we thought we were going to break it. It was very difficult to search for a channel because there was no guide button on the remote. The channel listings listed in the Welcome Book did not match those on the TV cable system. Masking tape was left on the bathroom door knob and along the bottom of the tub. The paint in the bathroom was still sticky. The paint on the ceiling in the entry way was already peeling. Should we return to Oceanside, we will try the Best Western Plus located along the coastline also in Oceanside. We chose the Inn because it was located closer to a venue where a wedding we were invited to was being held. It might be worth the extra expense to stay at the Plus because we will never stay at the Best Western Oceanside Inn again.

Just cannot say enough about this property. Each and every visit is the same......wonderful, caring and considerate staff; very, very clean accommodations; well kept grounds; great location; fine amenities and delicious breakfast.

so close to carlsbad its just a hop to the sandy beaches at fair hotel prices close enough to San Diego to be enjoyable the ease of access from the freeway makes this a perfect stop for any southern california fun very clean nice big TVS nice pool the delivery room service is pretty cool to we had the kitchen sink pizza and were impressed with the quality and spped of service

5 rooms were made by a third party approximately 2 months prior to my Feb 1-4, 2016 with 4 other people. Upon arrival, clerk would not let us cancel a room and put it in the name of another person who replaced the one originally making the reservation. We spent 30 minutes on the phone with Hotels.com trying to change the room even though the original person who made the reservation stated it was ok. I had a credit card that the hotel computer would not take - after 30 minutes on the phone with the credit card company - verifying the card was good - the hotel clerk tried again and the computer all of a sudden worked! Comp breakfast meal made us go out for breakfast - only 1 serving allowed per person and the choices were nil. Never stay there again.

Located conveniently close to the Oceanside Pier, the beach, Legoland, and a short drive from San Diego, the Best Western Oceanside Inn offers a great stay at a reasonable price. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was a welcome amenity. The motel is right off the freeway, but nights were quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Kudos to Sapath and the rest of the staff for making our stay very enjoyable.

This was not the Best Western Hotel that I thought I made reservations for, , I tried to get out of this hotel without being penalized but was told I couldn't get out of it. I went to find the right hotel and checked in there, then checked out of the Best Western Inn hotel the next day. The Best Western Palms was closest to my family

I had a last minute stop in Oceanside and I was able to walk into this hotel, be greated with respect, given a room on my military discount with no issues or concern. The rooms were great and very neat. I loved the stay and felt like I was at home.

The employees gave us a room on the second floor so we could get a good sleep. The breakfast had hot items. Very nice staff. Easy to get to. Unfortunately the food store next to it has been shut down. Good value for the price. Would definitely stay there again.

A motel-styel hotel, 2-storey buildings, just off the freeway. Ask for a room away from the freway, our room faced it, and it was a bit of a problem. Besides from that, room was quite big, had all the ameneties you should expect and was partly refurbished. About the breakfast they have the policy, that you can't take anything (besides from coffee) with you. Quite normal in my contry, but unsual in USA. Eggs are for some readons served, as well as waffles. The rest is selfservice and adequate. Pool is not heated, only the jacuzzi. Considering the price, 76$ plus taxes, I think it is good value for money, the place is clean and well managed.

next to major north-south highway. behind a 24 hour gas station. the room i had was second floor less then 50 yards from gas station which was going all night. would not stay another night in this place.

It was to be expected and nothing less. Not the Ritz, but definitely not Motel 6. Typically, hotel bills at the end of stay, but TripAdvisor billed prior to stay -- not good. Attempted to book early, but attendant at hotel was not helpful and tried to charge full rate. I had to ask about AARP and AAA rates. If they offer those type of incentives why hide them and not promote them?

i was very very happy with everything ......except the complimentary breakfast, not that it was bad, but the way it was guarded....lol... is what got me. you werent allowed to help yourself, and the portions the lady gave out were child size, not full grown man size. i ended up stopping at mcdonalds after i left breakfast at the hotel

Not great but very good for the price some room noise from the road. Older, very good breakfast. friendly staff. Shows its age but clean. everything worked as it should. parking was ok not real well lite. Low price gas next door.

The staff was fantastic, the room was well kept and the the area itself was awesome. The desk people were amazing and made everything work for us. It made for a great first trip to California for me and my family.

The staff at the Best Western in Oceanside did a suberb job of welcoming me to their hotel. Room was comfortable. Internet was fast, breakfast was good. Easy access from 5 freeway. Bathroom was clean, Room was clean. The only thing I thought was missing was a lamp on the table so could work on my laptop.

Rooms and bathrooms are not very clean. Free breakfast - BUT they have "breakfast police" counting every slice of bread you eat and practically checking your pockets to make sure you did not take an extra fruit to go. Cheap!

Right off of the highway, this Best Western offers large rooms (we stayed in a king) with a good fridge and microwave. It was clean and comfortable and check in was very friendly. It was booked up for the nights we stayed there, but we never heard a sound from any of the surrounding rooms. One strange thing about this hotel is the breakfast. You have to check in, cannot serve yourself eggs and sausage and cannot have more than they give you, and you cannot leave the dining area with any food. No taking a quick toast and coffee back to your room at this place. There was literally a security guard at the door! So be prepared for that if you stay here. We stayed multiple nights and would stay here again.

My stay was really great with my family without any issues only thing i might be little concerned is about the highway traffic next to the hotel at times it might be very noise but it depends on the room they assign you so better ask about this, apart from that rest is really great...

Stayed in this hotel last year and came back, same great experience. Extremely friendly front desk, very nice lobby to sit in and do work / emails. Had one issue with sink, asked front desk, repair guy came within minutes! Very nice breakfast too. Room is clean, shower working, has a large fridge and microwave in room. One thing to keep in mind - no elevator, so might be a problem if you cant carry bag upstairs, not a problem for me.

My family and I really enjoyed this place. It was close to Lego land and the beach. The staff was super friendly and everything seemed really clean. We would recommend this hotel for people with kids. It was too cold to swim but my kids really loved the jacuzzi. The pool looked nice. We enjoyed our stay and hope to go back someday.

The hotel staff was very nice, especially those at check-in and check-out. My room was comfortable, but the bathroom lighting was rather dim. The lighting outside my sliding glass door was VERY bright, even with the blackout curtain, so be prepared to cover your eyes with a mask in order to sleep. Overall, my room was quiet, comfortable, and clean, the continental breakfast was more than adequate, and my stay was very pleasant. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Door to the room was warped and you can see outside guest traffic from it. Noise level were very high from adjacent rooms. Breakfast was very controlled as how much you can eat. which was one spoon of eggs only. Eggs must be very difficult to get in Oceanside. only one power outlet and located inconveniently.

We are giving this hotel an excellent rating because it is the best value for the money. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The grounds were immaculate. The full breakfast was served in a spacious dining room. We had a wonderful experience!!!

This is great place to live specially if you are visiting LegoLand. Everything you need is in close proximity.... They offer complimentary breakfast too. The hotel staff is very gentle and rooms are super clean. Just don't misplace the room key as there are extra charges to re issue the key .....

Friendly Staff, outdated rooms, Small beds, traffic noise all night (bring earplugs) sounds like window was open but it wasn't. downstairs sliding doors don't open, Breakfast was ok. Pool and hot tub were nice.

The hotel was convenient to restaurants and the beach with easy access from I-5. The room was clean and comfortable with a pool and fitness center. It was a great value and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel

Worst customer service. Don't travel here of you have children over the age of 12. They will charge you to have them in your room with you. I've been to dozens of Best Westerns, all over the country, and have never been charged to have my kids in existing bedding. Worst of all the agent said, "It's policy." Which translated into customer language means, "I don't have the authority to be human and make decisions for myself that make sense." If I could leave without being charged nights fee I would. Live and learn. I'll never book here again.

This is a good place to stay if you are visiting the area. It is right next to I-5, making it convenient to many interesting places to visit. It is well maintained with friendly staff and a good breakfast. The rates make it all a great value, especially when considering the location. We have stayed there before and will definitely stay there again.

This was our first stay at Best Western Oceanside Inn..We found this location very clean : the rooms , grounds , breakfast service, public rooms, and pool area. The friendliness of the staff was outstanding , always polite and helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated ... We would give this hotel a 10 .

This remains a wonderful place to stay, Staff is always very attentive and caring about its customers. Great food for breakfast. Nice clean rooms. I/we have stayed here now regularly and really appreciate how close it is to everything we want/need. Wonderful amenities if one can find the time to enjoy them. Great people!

We were on our way to a wedding so I booked a hotel close to I-5. I am not a fan of freeway hotels so I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised. My overall take on the property was that it was clean, safe, and comfortable. We were checked in by an awesome young man named Will. He was very friendly and welcoming. He even called our room to make sure everything was okay. This was a first and very thoughtful. The room was spacious and very clean. It had a comfortable bed, chair and ottoman, desk, dresser and flat screen TV. The sink was outside the toilet area which is always a plus. We had a quiet night's sleep even though we were by the freeway. The complementary breakfast was tasty. The servers were very professional. If we every have a chance to go to Oceanside again I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean hotel, simplistic décor but room was comfortable and cozy. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was satisfying but could have been better with more variety. Overall a great experience for an affordable price. I will probably be staying here again in the future.

We stayed for 1 night on our way fron Los Angeles to San Diego, and the hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are big and the complimentary breakfast was adequate, but not more and the parking is free. If you stay in Oceanside, then you must visit Bagby Beer company, both for the excellent beers and the food.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, with a good variety of meal options. The only problem that I experienced was that the housekeeping staff did not fully close the door after cleaning the room.

We all had a good time. The rooms were well decorated, and very clean. Towels a little rough, & skimpy but everything else was very good. We six women were pleasantly surprised with the updated and clean rooms.

This motel has a great, convenient location, right off of I-5. I was able to walk to the beach in about 25 minutes. There is a great Fresh and Easy grocery store next door. The included breakfast is a nice amenity and the staff in that room worked hard to keep tables clean and the food stocked.. I found the full size bed very uncomfortable, lumpy and soft. The room was average clean and big enough. My room was quiet enough. The ductless heat pump worked well to cool the room. The carpet was funky enough I kept my shoes on. It included a refrigerator, a microwave and coffee. My loose pocket change was taken by housekeeping every day.. that was odd but it was small change and I suppose they could have thought I was leaving a crummy tip???.. The front desk clerk was unfriendly but was quick and efficient. I'd stay here again.

I have a mini vac with my family. Visiting San Luis Rey mission in Oceanside and the beautiful beach.they have a free breakfast the employees are friendly and helpful. Has a clean swimming pool and a gym.

First I have to thank the desk clerk who got me checked in early. I went to a 2 o'clock wedding on a Saturday with a 3 o'clock checkin time. Bad planning on my part and kindness on the clerks part. That was the best part of the motel. It's really not a bad place, just dated and in need of a makeover. Everything worked, it was clean, and the price was not bad, it was just older looking and feeling. The room did not smell bad, just not fresh. Some of that has to do with the ocean, but it could have used some help. And if possible don't get a room by the ice maker. That's a no brainer but this one was pretty loud. There was a good continental breakfast and the in room coffee was not bad. The pool was well kept and although we didn't use it. I would have. If you go when it is very hot or humid the AC unit in our room struggled to keep up. All in all, I would go back just because of the caring clerk, but I will look for other deals in Oceanside.

Nice clean hotel and close to the ocean. Loved that it included breakfast. Side note for the breakfast; waffles are in a different room. Just ask the employee. We only had a one night stay but would definitely stay again. Close to the freeway too.

Had a good stay here, the staff was friendly and very accommodating for my family. Super close to the beach. The pool and hot tub were great also. Right next to a gas station and market fresh store. For the money. It's a great stay. Clean. Would stay again.
