Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms

Google Maps was a little confused on getting me to this hotel, but after driving past it once, I found the entrance. Late night check in. Elizabeth at the front desk was awesome and very sweet. Very helpful. Room was fine. Pretty standard. Clean. Big bathroom. Bed was very firm (some people like that, so it's not a complaint, just an observation). I like the separate recycling can. What sealed the 5 star review for me was the breakfast. Not the food (which was pretty good - hot and cold choices and I liked the addition of tortillas, which you usually don't see), but the staff. The buffet staff sang Happy Birthday to not one, but TWO, young kids at separate times and brought them out a little chocolate cupcake with a candle. How nice is that!? It wasn't planned; it was just because a parent mentioned "hey, it's my kid's birthday." Definitely above and beyond for hotel staff. Not many people would go to the extra effort, but the food service staff here did. Kudos!

We stopped over here whilst travelling down the west coast. Room was as expected - clean with spacious bathroom. Good location - close to beach and some good places to eat/drink nearby. Breakfast was a true wonder. Included in the price and had the opportunity to make your own waffles. Wow. What an experience. As an uncultured Brit this truly blew my mind. They also had a breakfast burrito station which I can only hope the late Queen Liz was aware of. Coffee below average however. Staff polite and attentive. Would come back if passing through (we won't be).

Second night of two night stay the power went out for a "planned" outage by electric company. Nothing was ever said to us, as obviously I would not have chosen this hotel. No TV that night, no hot showers in the morning, no in room coffee or TV, no hot breakfast. Plus my husband has a bad hip and we had to haul our stuff down three flights of stairs. Sent an email to manager Griselda Ramirez, and also left a phone message...she never bothered to reply. Definitely will no longer be choosing Best Western.

I really enjoyed staying here. It was clean and the people working there were very nice. Rosy and Andy helped me a lot while I was there. I stayed six nights and they were always there if I had a question or needed anything and they were so nice. Rosy and Andy are two very good, customer oriented employees.

We had a great experience at this hotel except the too hard mattress which made my back hurt. Great staff and clean room. Would love to stay again but the mattress will keep me from being able to. Location was great.

Best Place to stay and would recommend to everyone. If all hotels were the same as Best Western the world would be a better place.Service staring from Front desk clerk and the house keeping people were freay too.

On a positive note the staff were great and they don't use a holding charge which was good. Otherwise the hotel was dark and dismal. Everything was brown, old fashioned and needs a complete overhaul. The breakfast was probably the worst I've ever had in a hotel

Be warned - Stay here only if you absolutely must. At best this a two (2) star hotel.Our room had a strange odor, the beds were horrible (you could feel the springs) and were extremely uncomfortable . Traveler's beware!

We stayed for 5 nights during Ohana Fest in Dana Point; the price was great, and the hotel was clean, quiet, and safe. The general area has a lot to offer including nice restaurants, it is close to the freeway but you do not hear the traffic at all, and it is close to the beach which is one of the main reasons we chose it.

I appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel and friendly staff. I like the holiday decorations in the lobby. Whoever is managing the hotel takes pride in making it look nice. Within walking distance of downtown Oceanside and beach.

Nothing more than a Super8 with inside doors. Dingy, outdated and run by a staff that could care less. Reservations were made for 2 nights - 9/29/23 to 10/1/23, with 2 rooms. They reserved 1 for 2 nights and the other for 1 night. When an attempt to add the night was made, I was informed that they were booked. So after driving to California for a weekend with my family to celebrate my daughters Birthday and with other First Responders at a police competition, we suddenly had 7 people and 1 room and no way to get another in the area. The staff took no responsibility for the screw up by their representative and made no effort at all to assist. We will never be back to this "hotel" and will be pursuing this all the way to corporate.

Cute little hotel , close to beach, shops and eateries. Pool and Jacuzzi are small but nice. Breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly. Currently lots of construction around hotel but I would still stay here again.

My overall experience at this hotel was really good. I have only 2 complaints about my stay. 1- the coffee machine in the dining area was not working. 2- the mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable.

We stayed at BW in Oceanside for a quick getaway before school started. We were impressed with the staff, amenities and close location to everything we needed. Harbor, beach, food and fun. The hotel is close to the beach (15 minute walk) but honestly a 3 minute drive was so much better. We will be returning.

The hotel overall was nice, a little bit of a challenge to get in, if you're not careful you can drive right by it. The inside was a little dated, but clean. The carpet in the room is dated an dark not to sure how clean it is but again, the staff appears to do their best. Wonderful breakfast set-up fresh and hot, I would stay again.. Staff was very nice

Nicely prepared and presented wide range of hot and cold breakfast items. Selection changes from day to day. Also, the hotel staff works very hard to make your stay pleasant. Hotel is conveniently located to the beach and all that downtown Oceanside has to offer.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Great pool and breakfast facilities. Walkable area with beach, harbor, and restaurants about 15-20 minutes away by foot. Super comfortable and clean rooms, had a great night sleep, was a really wonderful stay.

The sofa bed in the king room was very uncomfortable - even for an 11 year old. The pool looked like something out of a scene from Leaving Las Vegas and the location is inconvenient and access to the beach is not nearly as easy as it would seem based on the hotel description. The breakfast was good, however.

Expensive, but worth it for the weather and ambience. Close to lagoon. Ocean about a mile away Many good restaurants in the area, especially if you like seafood. If you don't feel like dining, there is an In and Out across the street, and a Denny's just down the road

Lighting in the room was dark and water pressure was lower than my family likes. Parking was good, getting in and out of hotel was a little unusual. Pool area was decent, breakfast was average. But otherwise we had a good stay.

Solo female traveler. Location was perfect. Safe area. Close to everything. Be was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on at a hotel. Hot breakfast was perfect. Lots of variety. Coffee maker in room is always a plus as many hotels do not offer them anymore. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I will be back

Desk staff was amazing..especially Alexi Harrison. He was very helpful as I was with my elder disabled mom. Alexia was also able to extend our stay in the same room. Very clean room & comfortable beds!! Great pool & spa. Good breakfast. We felt very safe & greatly appreciated the watchful eye of Harris for the on-site security. No worries of our car in the parking lot. Excellent location!!! We will be back. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Alexi & Harris

This location has a nice staff, the rooms are always clean, thry have agreat breakfast in the mornings with good choices to pick from. Great value for the money easy acess to near buy restaurants as well.

This Hotel exceeds expectation every single time. With kindness, quality and cleanliness you can tell that the team here works together and takes pride in their hotel and career. The location is excellent and there is plenty to discover in Oceanside which is giving its' best to accommodate travelers and stay vacationers. All in all, the stay here is always comfortable, thank you.

Breakfast is included, fresh and tasty, fruit and yogurt also available, hot coffee available all day. Very friendly and helpful staff, we will be back. Parking was also free, a first time for us in California.

the bathroom was one of the cleanest I've seen in a long time. The staff were very friendly and very helpful in all areas. The room was clean and comfortable and pretty quiet. The breakfast was good with variety and well stocked.

This is an amazing getaway spot. Me and my wife had an amazing time close to a lot of attractions. Staff went above and beyond, every time I needed something they helped with no hesitation. Thank you Best Western Plus we will be back soon!

My stay would have been a great but My dad had came to visit and my keys weren't working and he said that he was going to go down to the desk and get new ones I told him that he wasn't going to be able to get them keyd for me because he wasn't registered under the room so i thought he comes back with new keys and I asked him how did he get them he said that the guy just gave him new keys without checking ID or verifying any information coming from someone who works in a hotel that can be very dangerous I had my two year old daughter with me front desk needs to be retrained safety of the guests need to be a priority

My 12 year old son left $200 in his kid's backpack with all his toys and when we came back to the room half of it was gone,, told him not to leave cash in the room. Next day he forgot to take his remaining $100 and when we got back,, you guessed it half gone again! I can't believe someone would steal from a clearly child's backpack but hey it's a new world we are living in. Be careful and take your money when you leave your room

Our double queen with kitchenette room was at the front of the hotel near the intersection and very noisy. The hotel is also very near the junction of the I-5 freeway and the 76 highway. The internet was not functional, we spoke to the front desk twice and called the help number multiple times, but it was always busy. Staff support was good, but they couldn't fix this during our entire stay. Standard BW breakfast, serviceable.

We had a meeting in the conference room and I was very impressed with the staff. They are the best. I highly recommend this hotel. Wonderful people. When we had issues in the conference room with setup - multiple staff were there right away and were very nice to work with and very effective.

The facility, amenities and room were very nice. Very pleasant staff. Although we only availed ourselves to it one morning (out of 3), the breakfast was good. Room was very clean.; comfortable bed and two side chairs. Lighting was a little too dim for us. Room includes microwave, television, desk and chair,

I was so surprised by how nice this BW was, as sadly I have had some less than favorable experiences at other locations so I was so happy to see how nice this one was! The hotel is lovely and laid out very well. The outside landscape is beautiful and the inside is as well, with a gorgeous waterfall when you walk in. The front desk employee's were awesome and so helpful. As a BW Gold Crown member I was so impressed and though, finally, what BW is supposed to be. The rooms are a nice size and my King suite was very nice, and loved that the windows open for fresh air. Even the mini fridge was large which was helpful as I always travel with food and drinks. Love this place, will be back. You should go!! Very family friendly.

I usually never review things but I wanted to share my experience at the Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms. We checked in several hours late because of travel issues. The front desk people couldn't be nicer and got us into our room quick. The room was very clean. The shower could use a bit more water pressure but was big for a standard 2 double bed room. My daughter didn't have the best sleep so in the morning so I asked for a late checkout. Again, no issues just a quick, positive response. The breakfast was far better than other Best Westerns I've stayed at. Overall, it was one of the best nights at a hotel I've had. I wanted to get the names of everyone who made our experience one of the best we've ever had at a hotel so I went to the front desk and talked to Eric the manager. Great guy, easy to talk to and got me the names of everyone on staff. So thank you to Junior, Herbert, Agustin, Griselda and Andres along with Gaby, Maricela, Daniel, Diego, Angelina, Clara, Paula, Amanda, Elizabeth, Silvia, Cecilia, Lupe, Maria, Damaso and Charlie. Together you make a great team. Cheers to you!

This property offer comfort, and great service. The front desk staff is the best all around, specially Eric and Agustin. Their help is always appreciated. My husband and I have stayed at this property for the last 6 years at least 1O times. Housekeeping staff is dependable and efficient. It also offers a good hot breakfast.

We had six rooms full of family gathered for a wedding nearby. The Best Western was conveniently located, clean, friendly staff, great amenities, great coffee and a spacious breakfast room with delish food options for all types of food needs. My sisters and I needed to get away for a bit and this hotel met all of our needs! The guest rooms were super clean, (the person who cleaned our room was named Chuy), the staff was very pleasant and the location was perfect. They served a very nice hot breakfast each day with the best coffee I've had in a hotel is quite some time. We were within walking distance to the beach and within driving distance of all of the things we wanted to enjoy during our visit. I have plans to visit again and bring my Husband and grandchildren.

Very clean, especially shower area, which is important to me. Close to freeway and the beach. Walked to Thursday night Farmers market in Oceanside. Staff was courteous. Housekeeping worked hard to keep place looking good. Cute Halloween decorations in lobby!

I enjoy this location and the Hotel in general. The staff is kind and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable and has everything you need for a nice stay. The location is great, with the Harbor near by and just a shot down the street to shops and places to eat, Carlsbad is just a short drive down PCH for great food and shops too. The ocean is right there, go for a sunset walk, it is perfect! The freeway is close for easy access.

Window air conditioner that keep the room cool but damp. Shower warm but never hot. Comfy bed. Nice pool and Jacuzzi. Good breakfast with several selections. Plenty of parking but not covered. Next door is a Motel 6 that looks like it was torn down, but is open. The other way down the street is a hotel that looks like a portion of it slid own the hill and has gang writing on it.

as a traveler , I really recommend this place . with the money that you spend , you receive a great service . staff are so friendly and helpful . breakfast is awesome . pool and gym are small but spotless and it is close the ocean and downtown .

This was my first stay at a Best Western hotel. In the past, I only stayed at a Hilton or Marriot brand. This hotel is a "hidden jewel." The location is right off I-5; access to many restaurants and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Special thanks Andres, Damaso and Herbert for OUTSTANDING Customer Service. They made my stay extra pleasant.

We stayed here 4nights and were amazed by housekeeping service provided by Diego HSK. Every time we came back from ocean the room was super clean and sparkles. Diego HSK best one keep it up! Thanks for super good stay at the hotel.

I have some & not so good regarding our stay. I will start with the negative and end with positive. The rooms are not as advertised, we expected the kitchenette as the web site advertised yet checking in no stove top. Went down they didn't believe me so we both went up and they quickly saw no burners. So they did move us to a different room still no cook top. At this point we just decided to keep this room, it was a lot smaller yet we saw a little of the ocean. Is was loud since you were right above the pool and they keep the hall windows opened. Halls & elevators are hot, I don't think they have ac in them. Next morning manager told me he was sorry & said owner took out all the kitchenette burners due to safety. The room is smaller than we expected since we stay at a lot of Best Western Plus & have come to expect the same, learning not true. The walk to the beach is longer than what they say or at least for us. The room has a great AC, was very clean which is good. Breakfast is good however the best part is the people at the front desk, very nice & helpful. All in all a good stay.

This hotel is awesome. It's quiet, the food is great, the staff are great. You're within walking distance of the beach and all of the shopping and local restaurants. My only issue is the small pool and hotel area. This place definitely deserves its plus status.

I thought our July 4th staycation was ruin because I check-in to another hotel and the accommodation was out of a nightmare, but Griselda saved the day. I was able to book a room with Best Western at a great price even when I did not have a prior reservation. The room was clean, sanitized, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was plentiful, great tasting and had many choices from a hot breakfast to a grab and go menu. I want to shout out the staff for their helpful nature and welcoming sprit.

I called before booking and specifically asked if they had an ADA room with a roll in shower on the FIRST floor and was told yes. Upon arrival, my room was on the THIRD floor. I still got my roll in shower, but would have been stuck in an emergency. Disappointed. Also, I called a few days before my stay and specifically asked if they had a rubber no-slip shower mat and was told yes, they do. And after testing and seeing that their shower floor was in fact slippery, I requested one, only to be told that they don't have any. Disappointed. Our room keys often didn't work and we had to ask several times for them to be reset. This was most disappointing when we parked in a handicap blue spot only to be unable to get through that separate entrance. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping was good. Overall was an ok experience.

My husband and I stayed here for an unexpected visit to Oceanside, for just one night, but whenever we have an opportunity to stay at a Best Western Plus (the "plus" is key, I think), we book a stay there. We find the accommodations consistently clean (even the air smelled clean as soon as we walked in, without being medicinal in this COVID era), the complimentary breakfast satisfying, and the in-room amenities spot-on. The lobby decor here was lovely, and the staff extremely friendly. Our Uber driver seconded our opinion, saying this was the preferred place to stay, vs. the other, "regular" (no "Plus") Best Western in town (which the driver vigorously did NOT recommend, btw). We didn't use the pool, but families were thoroughly enjoying it. Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Oceanside during the month of May 2022. We were greeted by a very friendly staff upon our arrival. The room was clean and comfortable. All our needs were promptly addressed to our satisfaction. The pool and hot tub were clean and in working order everyday of our week long stay. Breakfast was hot and delicious as well. It was nice that this hotel had washer and dryer available. The price was very fair and competitive, but the staff here really make the difference, I can't say enough good things about them. We will be staying here again in the near future. The location is within walking distance to the harbor, pier and city center.

Best customer service, location was great and breakfast was great as well. Service: Hotel had exceptionally great customer service. Everyone was so friendly and always had a smile on their face. They were always polite and humble. When I needed anything, they made it their priority and quickly provided whatever service was needed. They even provided daily towels and housekeeping. Room: Room was very quiet and comfortable. Never heard any noises. Especially no noises from other rooms. The bed and pillows were good, and the room was well maintained. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron, blow dryer were included. Plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, and lotions were also in the bathroom. Breakfast: Breakfast was exceptionally good every day. Sausage and or bacon with scrambled eggs or omelet was included daily. Cereal, waffles, yogurt, bread, bagels, Danish, coffee, tea, lemonade, orange juice, apples, bananas were also available daily. Plenty of seating available indoors and outside. Coffee and water were available 24/7. Location: Location was rather good. 15 mins away from Lego land and 3 beaches are close by (5 mins). Oceanside Harbor, harbor city and strand beaches are very close. San Diego city is 35-40 mins away. Remarkably close to the highway as well. Oceanside downtown is 5 mins away with all the shopping you need. Parking: Plenty available around the hotel. Outdoor Pool is a normal size pool. Few chairs are available around and towels are also available. Overall, exceptionally good hotel with the best service and a great location.

I was travelling with my two children, 13 & 10 and we had a great stay in Oceanside. The staff at the hotel were consistently helpful. We arrived late at night and checked into our King with Sofa room. I realized after getting in, partially unpacked and the sofa bed made up, that this was not ideal and I should have got two queens instead, so I phoned and asked if it was possible to move. Carmen was very kind and helpful. She asked if I preferred to move right then, or the next day for the following two nights. When I said I preferred to move right away she found us the closest room possible to make this easier for us. I know we would have caused some extra work for the hotel having to go in a do a bit of extra cleaning and tidying after us, but Carmen did not make me feel that I was causing any inconvenience at all. We felt very welcomed. The next morning my kids were late getting down for breakfast and the staff kindly served them anyway. This was our experience the whole time. Thanks to Carmen, Agustin, Junior and the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable.

We could't find a suitable booking at Legoland hotels so we picked Best Western Plus Oceanside as a good alternative. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool until late at night. The room is spacious and relaxing after a long day out. Staff were helpful and kind. good value for money and I would definitely stay here again if I am around.

Great location near expressway and half mile walk to beach, yet quite area away from noise of downtown. Excellent accommodations with gracious, friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast with good and plentiful variety of hot and cold foods and beverages. Also very good value being less than half the price of beach hotels.

The staff at the hotel are on par with the service and friendliness that you expect at a luxury hotel! We have never had such accommodating and friendly staff at a mid-price hotel ever! They are truly exceptional! A shout out to Eric, India, Jr., and Gabby! Really excellent staff members!

My room had Roaches but otherwise it was good. They only came out at night. Front desk said they would call pest control back. The pool and hot tub was really nice. Grills available.close to the beach.

The hotel staff is helpful and friendly when you need assistance. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool area is relaxing and the jacuzzi is hot! The complementary breakfast has your typical hotel offerings.

Breakfast was hot and a large selection of food and drinks, room was abit small but updated, beds were very uncomfortable, too hard, and hard pillows, woke up with a bad back. Front desk manager is rude.

We were there for 7 nights, so I got to "know" this hotel pretty well. The front desk folks, who were very friendly throughout our stay, helped me perfectly with my request for a "quiet' room. I received a room half-way down a long hall between two elevators. We had a very nice 2-queen room. The bathroom was very nice and spacious, with a stall shower. The shower was excellent, except the controls were a little tough to work (hard to turn). There were large, soft towels. At breakfast, there was just about "everything," including 3 waffle makers, each with a different design. The hot dishes alternated meats, sausage patties and bacon, plus some kind of egg. There is a coin laundry on the premises, a fitness center, and a small outdoor pool and hot tub. This hotel is an all-around 5-star, but I would have given it a 5-star rating based on one thing: attached to each bed was a reading light at the end of an adjustable arm (see picture). I've never seen this at any other hotel. Perfect for us nighttime readers.

We were returning customers who had stayed earlier in July and when we visited in April my 7 year old again wanted to stay here. The location is very convenient for visiting Legoland, flower fields , zoo. Breakfast is super good, rooms are clean and staff is super friendly . The ambience is great . We just love this place.

The rooms are very small, our room did not have a bathtub, even though our reservation was made with 2 children being booked, I would recommend goimg though resvations when booked and make sure people with children have tubs, if the hotel has them. Also one of the beds is VERY close to the AC, making that spot freezing!

This hotel very clean. Our room was serviced well before we checked in and the breakfast was always on point! The staff at this establishment were not only friendly but very helpful as well. Oceanside pier is not far at all and there are many eating options available nearby.

Let me say that following a really bad Best Western experience at the Best Western Plus Orange County Airport North just last week, this hotel, the Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms restored my faith. The differences were: The check in attendant was so kind, efficient, and helpful, greeting us as Best Western Rewards members instead of telling us our problems arose because we booked on an “outside” site (the Best Western app), they had our room correct, really nice rooms, great breakfast, excellent customer service, acting like they are glad we are here, and they'd like us back. I'd definitely recommend this site!

All the staff from the front desk to the breakfast staff,everyone is courteous,helpful and hard working.You get more than what you can ask for.Some people are hard to please but this staff aims to please!

I was concerned with the 2 star rating but found it really nice! Many surprises from the location, easy freeway access but also walking distance to Oceanside Beach. Many nice restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable with nice beds & lots of pillows.,Breakfast was available both hot & cold options. Coffee was delicious! Free parking, plus pool and hot tub. Pretty fire pit & seating in outside front area.Definitely got our monies worth. Very friendly staff also!

What a great hotel and the BEST staff thank you Junior, Justin and Griselda to name a few. We ask for recommendations and they nailed it. Needed directions they had a smile and a map. I would have to say the most helpful staff. Everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was hot and very good, rooms were clean and the location was great. Again THANK YOU to the staff at The Best Western Plus Oceanside Palm. We will be back because of the great service.

checked in on 4/2/2022 everything was dark dank and stinky . opened the door to the room and a fresh cloud of smoke was present and you could see the fresh imprint on the bed where somebody had been laying down . Beds were made but after further investigating you could tell the sheets had not been changed. Went to front desk and they moved us to a different room , unfortunately this room was just as bad . My wife and I collected our luggage and got out of there . We checked in to the Marriot a few miles away and everthing was as you would expect , nice and clean and for half the price of the best western . Do yourself a favor and dont make the mistake I made stay somewhere else . I'm totally confused on how this hotel got a #1 out of 30 rating !!

Our family stayed at this hotel the weekend we went to Legoland. It is a beautiful hotel, with a lovely fire pit outside and a cool water light display in the lobby. Our room was on the third floor and we could see the ocean from our window! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our favorite part of our stay was the breakfast! It was amazing! I loved the make your own waffles. There was coffee, juice, bagels, muffins, danishes, toast, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, scrambled eggs, tortillas, potatoes (so good), bacon (on Saturday) and sausage (on Sunday). There were so many different options for whatever you wanted to eat! The breakfast staff, Daniel and Maricela, were very good at their jobs and kept everything stocked and cleaned up! We also found it very reasonable for being a hotel less than a mile from the beach. There are also several restaurants in the area to eat at. We really enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend it!

Check-in was fast and easy. Only took me about 8 min to have everything signed and settled. Hotel room was clean. Bathroom was clean as well. Def recommend staying here while visiting Oceanside. Right off the freeway too so it was super convenient.

The room was excellent, clean, comfortable and a nice size. The shower was also a nice size. The hotel clerk was very nice, informative, professional and provided great customer service. The breakfast was delicious especially the waffles. The next time I stay here, I will ask not to be so close to the pool, gym or elevator. Although convenient, it can be quite loud when there are a lot of people.

Living in Idaho, I so miss the Pacific Ocean, Best Western is right on PCH and the hotel is alway clean, has a feeling of living at the beach and it gets a nice sea breeze. I have stayed many times, always a wonderful experience, which we expect. Staff friendly and attentive, if there are issues they resolve them immediately of which there are few. I would only stay here for my visits to Oceanside.

From check in to check out the staff was great! Friendly and very professional. The rooms were clean upon check in and the location is within walking distance to the beach or driving distance to the base right outside the entrance. Breakfast is great because it's not just a grab and go it's an actual buffet. Well definitely be staying here again!

My son and I stayed four nights. We left a hoodie hanging in the closet when we checked out. It was new - worn once. When I called to ask if my local San Diego family could pick it up I was told that nothing had been left behind in the room. I did speak with the manager and he did inquire with his housekeeping staff but they told him there wasn't a hoodie left behind. I'm disappointed that they'd lie and that it is gone. If housekeeping has taken our hoodie and subsequently lied about it - well, it stands to reason they'd likely steal again if given an opportunity. Book your stay with this in mind.

Clean, friendly, safe and comfortable place to stay. 10 minute walk to the beach, and to the boat harbor. Close to highways and walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants and other shopping. We traveled from Alberta to California and stayed at BWs in Montana, Utah and California. This location was our last but truly should set the standard for BWs! Beautifully appointed, friendly staff, clean rooms... everything travellers look for! I will stay at THIS BW again should I be coming through Ocean Side again in the future.

The hotel was not on the water but close enough to walk. It's right by the harbor, but downtown Oceanside is 2 blocks away. Clean rooms and clean hotel. Highly recommend for someone not wanting to spend a fortune at beach front property

Nice clean rooms. Pool area nice and secure. Good parking. If you do a little workout on your trips that would be a little setback here as far as quality equipment and you are right over a first floor room. The best part is the breakfast. It has a great selection.

We stayed at the BW Plus Oceanside Palms late in January for four nights. We did not use housekeeping for our stay, but the room looked and felt very clean. I was impressed with the buffet breakfast, although I only had waffles or cereal, none of the hot dishes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although there were homeless people around the area, we never saw any on the property and were never approached by any of the homeless. The front desk employees were very friendly, professional and helpful. We dealt with John, Griselda and Eric.

Staff were welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was standard - nothing special but nice to have available. Location was great - easy to access from the main road, but also easy to walk to the beach.

Very nice place, clean, close to the beach and restaurants, with very welcoming staff and good breakfast. This has been a very nice place to stay when we just need a family "get away" for the weekend.

I'm not quite sure why this hotel is number 1. It is average. The bath faucet has a weak spray of water and the room is not very spacious. My biggest complaint is that masks are not required only recommended. Most of the guests were not wearing masks and some of the staff as well. We did not feel safe. Oceanside has decided to not comply with a mask mandate. However, it would have been prudent of Best Western to require masks for the safety of their guests and employees.

Very nice hotel. It was clean, employees were friendly and I loved the ambiance! Bed was comfortable and the beach was walking distance! My only dislike was their breakfast, especially the coffee. The only think I liked were the muffins and bagels.

If you're visiting Oceanside Ca Best Western plus Oceanside Palms is the place to stay. Starting with the great and wonderful Hotel front desk staff the Manager Griselda sets the standard she is very helpful and makes you feel welcome. I've stayed here on several occasions and from my very first stay I needed recommendations; Eric and Kelvin was working and did not hesitate to offer places with great food and music. They're not the only ones because many times I lose my key and Andres, Junior, and John is always happy to assist. Any recommendations I need in the area those guys are go to. The night auditor Ashley is awesome as well. The hotel is located minutes away from the beautiful beach and walking distance from many great restaurants and bars. I've taken the 5 minute walk to catch the sunset on the beach several times. This hotel is a can't miss the rooms are very clean as the house keepers works hard to make sure your room is just as comfortable and clean as your own. Many hotels I stayed during this Pandemic doesn't have hot breakfast, well not here 7 days a week hot breakfast with a very friendly staff. As it is also very up to date with everything, and the General Manager Paul also is very pleasant and makes sure your stay is comfortable. Any time I'm in town this is my place for comfort and convenience. And I personally want to thank each and everyone here because all of you together is what makes this hotel 5 ✨

Upon arrival I could tell I chose a great Best Western. I was greeted by Eric and Junior who were extremely friendly and helpful. Not only at check-in but check out as well. Have stayed here before. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Lobby and rooms are very clean. My husband is a disabled veteran and we were able to get a room on the first floor with a walk-in shower as requested. We are loyal BW users, so we used reward points to cover the cost of the room.

This property is very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the towels are plentiful. It is close to restaurants and not far from the beach.

From check in to check out it was the perfect stay. Beautiful landscape warm and inviting lobby...nothing out dated here. Staff professional and friendly. Room was super clean and stylish. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Bed was firm which was great for my husbands back..I like them a bit softer. We intend to stay here when we come back in April.

We travelled to Cali on a last minute business trip and scurried around looking for a hotel at only a few days out. I looked around and the reviews for this hotel were great. Although it has been a long time since I had even considered staying at a Best Western, I knew that word of mouth recommendations should jot be taken lightly. When I was much younger, my family and I would take family vacations and the Best Westerns were considered more upscale at the time. Over the years, I have found that the brand has struggled to keep up with the times. NOT THIS ONE. This hotel, somehow, has managed to find GREAT people to employ as their staff. From check in to check out, to the breakfast crew and the cleaning crew, LITERALLY EVERYONE was so kind and pleasant and helpful. I read gushing reviews like this on their Google page, but thought, surely this must be someone affiliated with the hotel and not an actual customer. Who gushes about a hotel like this? But I kid you not, the entire stay was made memorable by the wonderful staff. As for the decor, the BW has remained… traditional. The entire look of the hotel has not changed much over the years. Everything, however, was pretty tidy, and the only complaint I had that I never brought up to the staff was the slight musty odor in the room that didn't go away even after opening the window (GREAT plus!) and circulating with the air. The only reason for the four stars in case someone has issues with the smell, which I know is gard on some.

BW Plus Oceanside Palms is a hidden jewel near the Pacific Ocean - centrally located to explore the Southern California coast. Our stay at this property for eight nights was exceptionally relaxing. Our King suite, with a kitchenette overlooking the pool and hot tub had all the comforts of home. Breakfast each morning was restaurant quality, with many dining options. In the evenings, we enjoyed a cup of tea next to the fire pit, to take the chill off the night. We enjoyed the heated pool and spa to ourselves...and if you wanted to grill a steak, two grills were nearby. The friendly and professional staff at Oceanside Palms was responsive to all of our requests. If you want a safe, comfortable, and restful lodging experience - this is the hotel for you. We will return to this property, each time we are in Southern California.

We first walk in to the the Quinta Inn and the girl at the front desk was not very welcoming. After showing her my confirmation email she stated we were in the wrong hotel. I was actually glad, because even though she wasn't rude she just didn't seem friendly enough to be working at a front desk. Once we walked into the Best Western Plus we were received with welcoming smiles. The two gentlemen at the front desk were very friendly. We were in town for my son's soccer tournament, room was clean and we were pleasantly surprise to see that they have a full hot breakfast setup. We didn't expect it, since most hotels we've been to seem to use covid as an excuse not to set up a decent breakfast. Overall, our stay was great. Definitely recommend this hotel for a quick weekend getaway or a long term stay.

Good: Breakfast was great and free. They have few options to choose from. Bad: The room we were given seemed to be on the smaller side and we were put all the way at the other end of the building when the hotel was barely occupied (checked in on a Tuesday). When we got to our room the fridge still had left over food from the previous guest and the trash bins weren't thrown out. It questions whether or not the room was properly cleaned.

This hotel is very clean very organized and offers all the amenities you need while on any trip. The front desk staff housekeeping are all friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean nicely decorated and comfortable. They offer an early breakfast that simple but has a variety. 24 hour courtesy coffee or tea. Business seating area and a leisure seating area with also an outdoor patio with a fire pit. Plenty of parking close to a bike path in less than 2 miles to the beach and harbor!

This Best Western Plus Hotel is my favorite place in USA. Enough parking places, a nice shower arrangement in the corner of the room. The city center is in a walking distance, quiet neighborhood, it will be always my stay when I visit this area.

BW Oceanside Palms is a hidden jewel in the San Diego Bay area. We stayed at multiple other properties in Southern California over a three week period and this property was our favorite. High end appointments; an on site restaurant and bar, two pools overlooking the marina are glass enclosed and one pool has a fireplace and hot tub (our favorite). The hotel is located on Shelter Island, which is close to all area attractions, but away from the noise, traffic, and related problems in the nearby city. We walked the marina and along San Diego Bay each morning before breakfast - with on site security assuring only guests have access to the property. If you want a safe, comfortable, restful and world class lodging experience - this is the hotel for you.

John at the front desk saved our trip. We came down from Orange County for a quick trip to meet friends and there were several youth sports team that had absolutely taken over the entire hotel. Teenage girls everywhere! We quickly realized our room was right next to the complimentary breakfast area and that these girls would be descending upon the breakfast rather early to probably get to their games on time. John saved the day by first suggesting that when he was off in 5 minutes, that he would run to CVS to get us earplugs and bring them back to us! I mean, how kind can you get?? We declined his generous offer but he was able to get us into another room and was so gracious and understanding even though I'm sure he was more than overwhelmed with an at capacity hotel for the night. The following morning we came downstairs and were greeted by Eric who was cheerful and engaging as we checked out. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our time thanks to great staffing!!!

My husband and I I stayed at the property for three nights. This was our eighth stay at this property. The actual hotel is clean, modern, and tastefully decorated with a classy beach vibe. However, the best part of our stay is the staff. Eric at the front desk is always helpful and friendly. Paul the GM is always pleasant and approachable. We stay in the Oceanside/Carlsbad area frequently. We enjoy the friendliness and cleanliness of this hotel and it's convenient location. There's a nice hiking path over to the Harbor area and it's an easy walk or drive to the businesses and Pier area in O'side.

The hotel itself was pleasant and modern. The staff was exceptionally kind and cheerful in every single interaction over a 10 day stay. A 5 minute drive to the beach. Gym was lacking but room was nice and clean.

I was so impressed by the helpfulness and customer service of the staff. KUDOS to Kelvin (Jr) and John at the front desk. For this stay (10/1/2021), we had noisy bikers right under our window. When I told Kelvin and John about the problem, Kelvin made sure to put us in a more quiet room so that we could get rest. They were very accommodating. We appreciated it. Thanks.

I travel a lot and when I visit this hotel, I feel like I'm coming home. Its a great hotel because of the staff. Especially Amber, who works the front desk and has such positive energy and always has a smile on her face. She is full of energy and goes out of her way to accommodate my needs. Amber has never disappointed me, in fact each time I come back to the hotel her efforts go beyond my expectations. In my experience with any hotel staff, its rare to be treated as if you are the only guest in the hotel. Amber is kind, friendly, professional, attentive and she demonstrates all of the above consistently each time I visit. Thank you Amber! The staff was especially helpful. It's a fairly long but an enjoyable walk to the beach. It's a very quick drive and it seemed as though there's a lot going on like surfing contests and fun places to get something to nibble on.

This place is a hidden gem. I'm a frequent traveler and this is my new favorite stay in San Diego. I had great interactions with all the staff. They are so friendly and seem to love their jobs. Cecilia, Eric, Amber, and David all made me feel safe and welcomed. David especially had great restaurant recommendations in walking distance. The rooms are clean, clean, clean. As a frequent traveler I check everything down to the mattress. This hotel was cleaner than some high dollar places I've stayed in San Diego. The staff, safety, cleanliness, and value are here. I won't stay anywhere else from now on.

Nice rooms and clean. When we came in, we met David and Andre. Andre checked us in and did it in like 3 minutes. Asked Andre how I could use my virtual gift cards, and David promptly gave me the email address to send them in. They would take the total off my gift cards off my bill. We went to dinner and came back and David informed me he received my email and had already applied the gifts cards to my bill. This is what customer service is all about! David even told us about a few good places for dinner to try. Andre and David are truly two of the nicest gentlemen we have ever encountered while on vacation. Canceled at rodeway inn, it was a catfish hotel. We came to best western day of with no reservation and David hooked us up in multiple ways. He was very informative and we went to and loved a few of the places he recommended.

We stayed two nights in Best Western Plus Oceanside Plus on our trip to California. Couldn't be happier with this place. Everything from check-in (David was great at accommodating our requests), to room, breakfast, cleanliness of the public areas and our room, comfort and accessibility, free parking. Everything worked out perfectly. Highly recommend it.

I love this hotel. Three of the employees stood out to me: Erin, Eric and David were all very courtesy and helpful. They were the best staff that I have ever met. I am a Diamond member which means that I have stayed at many, many hotels to receive that Elite level and for anyone to stand out in my mind means that they are very special people! Erin, Eric and David were all very helpful and made me feel right at home. I commend their work ethics|! Thanks to all of you! I'll be back soon. P.S. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The facility is clean and overall well maintained. The staff on the other hand are less than helpful including the day managers. We checking in Saturday Room 208. Dropped off our luggage and went to beach. Upon returning the floor was wet in front and on side of refrigerator. Called front desk gentleman stated he was busy and would follow up. Never heard another word and phone was not answered later by staff. We used two of our beach towels to absorb moisture. Next morning manager was too busy to address my situation. Assistant went to the room and stated she “saw” nothing. I asked if she took her shoe off and walked on wet carpet. You can't see moisture She looked at me puzzled and said she would have maintenance check refrigerator I checked out and left

This hotel is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The bathroom was very nice and the beds were very comfortable and the hotel is also conveniently very close to the beach. The free breakfast was pretty good and overall it was a very good hotel. Will definitely stay here again sometime in the future.

We travel a great deal and what a wonderful surprise to find such a friendly, helpful staff. We had changes to our stay and not only was Eric and Amber gracious about accommodating, they were genuinely happy to assist and help (Griselda, Cecilia). The surprises didn't end there, the room was great and the housekeeping staff checked to see if we needed anything......believe me, no where else we have stayed this year even offered housekeeping during our stay. The location is fantastic, a short walk to the Pier and Downtown Oceanside for nights out. Wish all hotel staff could come here to see how it's done!! Did I say it was super quiet with no noise from surrounding rooms even though they were occupied and a hot breakfast!

So, this place has 3.5 stars (as of this writing), but I'm dropping a 5-star review here because our one-night stay in August was just what we expected and needed. After previously staying at a dump in Oceanside a couple of months earlier, it was so nice to find a place that's clean, well-appointed, and full of friendly and competent staff members. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and their complimentary breakfast and all-day coffee was a plus. Free parking, easy access, and plenty of USMC guests (offering a sense of pride and safety) also add to this place's quality.

In all my travels I have never met such a friendly and accommodating staff! I wish all hotel experiences made me feel like I was the most important person to walk through their door. I also enjoyed being able to walk to the pier to watch surfers and the sunset.

Very Very Nice place to rest and relax. Close to restaurants and the beach. Lovely outdoors fire pit gathering area. The staff are Always kind and courteous above and beyond expectations. Especially Eric - even if he is a Rider fan, he's a Great Host and we appreciate him and the entire staff.

Hot breakfast with lots of variety, decent pool with spa, reasonably fast internet, and an okay fitness room with a few machines! Staff is friendly, and the hotel is just a short drive away from the beach!

This was a great place to stay on a budget. The price was less than a lot of "better star" locations, but we went with this because it got great reviews. I am picky, but I did not have any complaints this stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was well maintained and clean, and there were no unpleasant surprises. Reasonably close to the beach and harbor areas as well.

Honestly, it's a great stop to stay. As soon a you come in there are really helpful. If you need any recommendations on where to go you can definitely ask them ! Really clean & cozy ! Loved it here! Awesome

Staff was pleasant upon arrival and filled my first floor request. Lobby, hallways and room were very clean. Pool/hot tub very inviting. Breakfast was very nice. Tv was a nice size and many channels offered. Microwave and refrigerator were a nice feature in the room.

Overall stay was good. Clean rooms, clean pool area and courteous staff. The lighting in the room was very dark, too dark. Water pressure in bathroom was low causing us to have to run water longer. Continental breakfast was low quality - bacon was undercooked, Eggs were overcooked and waffle station a bit unclean.

The front desk staff was really nice and helpful. The room was clean pretty spacious. My daughter commented on how clean the shower looked, which left me wondering if the showers in other hotels we have stayed in weren't as clean as I thought they were. Hot breakfast was offered which was nice since hot breakfast has been hit and miss since COVID started. The hotel is walking distance to the beach. I have always had good experiences at Best Westerns and will definitely stay at this location again.

My family and I only stayed the one night but the staff was helpful, informative, and friendly. The rooms were spectacular and just arriving at the location was beyond what we expected. Highly recommend this location!

The staff was always pleasant, the rooms were clean and the price was fair. I will definitely consider staying here again. We did not utilize the pool however it was pretty small, and for a family of 4 the rooms were also small. but overall no complaints that would deter me from staying there again for another soccer weekend.

We had a wonderful stay at Best Western hotel in Oceanside, California. Junior was very helpful in booking our stay and giving us the best accomodations. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Our room was nice and very clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Great hotel and friendly staff. I wish I could rate it a 5, but many rooms were not ready until close to 5 p.m. (check-in is 3 p.m.) No explanation was given and the wait was much longer than expected. There was no do not disturb tag in my room, so I created one from a note pad. Still, this hotel is MUCH nicer than most in the area. The rooms seem to be smaller than other hotels in the area. But I did not hear freeway or street traffic from my room (major plus!), which can't be said about many other hotels in the area. I would return to this hotel as a guest provided that check-in time is honored.

The Oceanside Palms is a great hotel. The staff were amazingly accommodating and professional during this time. The location is ideal. I would recommend getting a room on the third floor so you don't have to deal with people's footsteps at all hours, but I cannot say enough kind words about the staff.

I was visiting family and trip advisor told me to contact the hotel to get a better deal due to I was doing an extended stay and belong to their club and they could give a better deal and they did they discounted 1000.00 off the price. What a great deal!

Have been staying in Oceanside, via Motorhome or Hotel for many years. Since our favorite Motor Home park closed, we have been staying at motel/hotels, and found Best Western Plus (Oceanside Palms), one of the best. Reasonable rates, and great location for easy access to the Oceanside Pier, Beach and Marina.

I thought it very important to record this review because people seek relaxation and peace when they come to a hotel expecting to be greeted with genuine care. Also; a hospitality organization should include that employees treat guests with the utmost courtesy and respect. It only takes "one bad apple" to ruin an experience. Best Western Plus @ the Palms has a great staff except ONE person! Ashley Kaai does not belong at the front desk maybe he has other talents but he is absolutely RUDE. I not only had one family member but 2 family members complain about how he talked to them. We got back from visiting my Dad's gravesite and my sister forgot her key in her room (127) so she went to the FD to ask for a key. She came back upset that she was asked a million questions including where she was from??? She finally got a key and came to my room (130) to vent. Then an hour later my sister who is going through Chemotherapy with Lymphoma got very cold and also went to the FD to get a blanket AND wouldn't you know he did the same thing to her while he typed on his keyboard and said to my sister " oh this is a promotion"... what did this have to do with a blanket? She came and told me what just happened and I went straight to the FD and asked for his name and he asked why and I told him that he was rude and I will need to speak to his manager in the morning. He said, " what do you mean I'm always nice to everybody? I don't know what they're talking about." He finally wrote his name on a card and gave it to me. I told him I didn't appreciate how he talked to my sister and he kept insisting he didn't say anything wrong. Just so everyone knows, all of the other employees at the FD and especially Housekeeping and the breakfast attendants went above and beyond and always asked if there is anything else they can do. IN THESE TIMES and what the world is going through a little kindness goes a long way. Perhaps Mr Kaai needs to be reminded that one if rules in the hospitality industry is service with a smile and if your guest is unhappy APOLOGIZE and find a way to appease your guest. ATTITUDE is everything! My family did NOT deserve his attitude!

This is a great hotel very clean and staff is very friendly .. we always go to Oceanside to get away and this is where we always stay because it's located in a great spot and always great service .will be staying again soon ...

If you're looking for a clean place with decent amenities and great customer service, Great Western Plus will not disappoint! The location is excellent, being fwy close and within walking distance to the beach.

We love this Best Western because it is close to Camp Pendleton and the Harbor area...you can walk to the waterfront restaurants! The front desk staff is always courteous and glad to see you. We think this hotel is a great value - housekeeping service is excellent.

Overall the best motel i have stayed for 100 bucks, very clean, friendly staff. No parking issue, beds are super comfortable, quiet area, good breakfast, the best motel in the area, i would recommend to anybody

Had to take a last minute trip with the family to Oceanside. Didn't want to spend a lot, we are used to fairmont, and four seasons usually. So was prepared for less than high quality accommodations. Was very surprised that the room was actually quite comfortable And had unexpected amenities. Loved the good size refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and desk area and comfortable chair. Even had a small closet and iron and ironing board. Had toiletries also. Though I didn't use them. And a hairdryer. Bathroom was modern and clean. I actually slept better there than I have in months!!! Breakfast was surprising, had actual hot food! Limited selection, but had decent scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and bacon. All served with a smile! Also a big selection of cereals, pastries, fruit, and beverages, which, of course were prepackaged. Great for grab and go. This was in spite of Covid restrictions, which other places have used as an excuse not to have the included breakfasts that they have advertised on their websites. The only negatives were that the walls were paper thin. Heard a lengthy conversation from our neighbors in the evening. I also really disliked the under window, wall mounted air conditioners. Always very noisy and annoying. But, luckily didn't need it, so off it went. After 10pm the room was very quiet. Also, I must mention that my first contact with the front desk was over the phone and he was very helpful, after being told that they surprisingly had 2 rooms available on a Saturday night with only 4 days notice, he transferred me to their central reservations. They told me there were no rooms! So I called back to the front desk person and he insisted there were. He said he was sorry he couldn't help me right at the moment but he was busy with hotel guests. But he took my number and assured me he would call me right back to make the reservation. Yeah, right, I thought! But I was extremely surprised when he called me back in under 5 minutes!!! Miraculous!!! Overall a very pleasant experience. Would definitely stay here again. Great value for the money!

My family & I literally found this place at the last minute after refusing to stay at our original place due to the pay by the hour on the down low motif. Here we felt clean, safe, and comforted. Amazing!

We loved this hotel! Everyone there was friendly and so welcoming! Other guest were amazing! Staff is awesome! My daughter loved the “bubbles” in the lobby that changes colors! It was her favorite part of the hotel!

I was contacted by the staff while I was traveling to Oceanside. Upon check in I figured out why. I had booked a room with a rollin shower by accident and they had a guest that needed my room and was wondering if I would trade.. I of course told them I did not require this feature and would gladly give up the room.. For this I was given an upgraded room at no charge.. That was very nice. The room was very nice and spacious. It had a kitchenette full fridge and table.. I didn't need this but it was a very nice room.. Amber was the attendant I spoke with and I found her attentive and helpful. I was in a pickle. The Amtrak to San Diego, which I had a round trip fare on, was having track maintenance on the day of my departure. This wasn't a surprise. I was contacted by them earlier and they had made alternate arrangements for me to get to San Diego.. However. I do not like buses.. So I opted out on that. Anyway, Amber tried several times to assist me in securing alternate transportation. To no avail. But the effort was appreciates. Everyone was very pleasant and the facility is well kept and clean. I would recommend you give them a shot.. Great visit!

Our family stayed at the Oceanside Best Western Plus to visit our son at Camp Pendleton and we had a great time. The hotel was in a good location, excellent customer service, breakfast was delicious, everything was clean and the supreme room was comfortable. I would stay again for sure: ) Thank you!

This hotel is four blocks up from the beach. Parlor Donuts is a short walk. But what's just as great as the location is the housekeeping staff. Shout out to Sierra, Cecilia and Angelina who kept our third floor room well kept. We stayed here for 10 days and every single day our towels were replaced, coffee replenished and bathroom cleaned! Yes, they cleaned the bathroom to include the shower and floor every day! We also appreciated that they gave us enough towels for our 2 showers/per day. The hotel was very busy and they worked hard all day sometimes as late as 6:30 p.m. Also, I noticed that the lobby furniture was vacuumed and cleaned each day. The breakfast staff was also friendly, helpful and professional. This wasn't our first time staying here and we will stay here again.

First, a great value for a nice place so close to the beach. 2nd: Nice room and pool. 3rd: A Hot Breakfast-what a concept! - very tasty, served by very kind staff members 4th I thought the staff went way beyond: All were helpful and kind. However, one especially. After leaving town, we discovered a set of our keys was missing. We called and Sierra was so kind as to have housekeeping locate them while we were on the phone. She, then, had them promptly mailed to us. Great job, Sierra!

The staff was very friendly and helpful; Ben from the front desk answered all of my questions and was able to provide pricing and details before I chose to stay at the hotel. The view from my room was amazing! The breakfast is pretty good. Lots of shopping and food/drink options within walking distance. Originally stayed for 3 nights but ended up staying the week because of how awesome my experience was!

We came to Oceanside because my daughter is moving here. Not realizing how big Oceanside is, we were 15-30 minutes away because of traffic. The hotel is maintained and clean. The bed was really comfortable. It was a pleasant place to stay near the ocean and pier.

Our stay here was good but not great. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The tv remote did not work very well. The staff was great and very accommodating. We asked to change to a room with a bathtub and they were able to make that happen. The breakfast quality was just ok. Waffles were great, omelette and bacon were not.

This hotel is incredibly clean and well kept. The value of the room is great. And the Breakfast service is above average. Marcila was so friendly during breakfast and we really appreciated her service.

Hotel is in a good location. We walked to the beach and grabbed something to eat as well. Loved having a lot of towels in rr. Breakfast was also good. Only problem was Shower didn't drain. Comfy bed and pillows. I would stay there again.

Loved the rooms and location. The breakfast was good except that we were told there'd be waffles every morning but there wasn't any. Still was good as they had eggs, omelettes, potatoes, pastries, cereal, fruits and drinks. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint is they should keep a closer eye on the noise level. There was loud partying in other rooms in the middle of the night and even someone vomiting loudly in the hallway somewhere. If I could hear it in my room I'm pretty sure the staff could hear it too. It kept waking me up the second night I was there which was a Saturday. Friday night wasn't as bad.

Our needs are ; a friendly environment , not upset desk employees, because of restating at desk pricing on next days stay was supposed to (Sunday) be cheaper . Seemed my hopes for accuracy in my desk experience were crushed.

We had an issue with another hotel and decided to try this one! We will never use another hotel besides this one. Super clean, extremely knowledgeable and professional friendly staff! Respectful to all customers greeting with a smile as soon as you walk in. Everything very clean! I highly recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel to be able to pay our respects at a cemetary the next morning. The staff gave us several suggestions for enjoying the area and relaxing. We went for a walk at the pier and had hot chocolate by the outside fire pit. It really helped us relax and sleep better. In the morning we had a fantastic free breakfast. Everyone was so nice, we really enjoyed out stay,.

I stay here at the best Western plus a lot for work I always have a good experience Eric always takes great care of me he's very friendly and fast at his job the lobby always smells clean and like Lysol rooms are always nice and neat so great job to housekeeping as well. Good place for the cost. Best part was the complimentary breakfast. Made to order breakfast burrito or waffles. Sierra was the staff member who made our breakfast (it's hands-off for guests due to Covid). She was fantastic!

Eric, Junior, Amber and Griselda are amazing staff members! I come to Oceanside to visit family multiple times each month and I only stay here because of the helpfulness of the staff. The rooms are nice and clean and I've never had an issue while staying here.

We were pleasantly surprised at the level of service for an inexpensive stay. Everything was "hospital" clean, which is so important right now. Maria, our house keeper did an excellent job! Sierra was a constant source of help and information, she made us omlettes for breakfast which we weren't expecting. This morning Marcella made us breakfast burritos, she is so kind and thoughtful. Best Western is our new favorite place to stay...and we usually spend a lot more on hotels. Very impressed, thank you ladies for making us feel so comfortable and welcome!

Upon arriving at the lobby for check-in, lobby was clean and CDC guidelines were followed. Check-in was quick and easy. Elevator is conveniently located right by check-in location. Unfortunately, my room key did not work and I had to go back down to recieve new keys. This was the only con of the trip.

Hotel is located near the beach and within a few blocks of the restaurants and shops at the Oceanside Harbor. Hotel rooms were nice and clean. Hotel staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast had hot scrambled eggs and bacon along with the normal items. The price for the room was excellent. I will stay again and would recommend it to others.

Ask for Amber; she was fantastic!! Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Although the exercise room was not available due to the COVID, I looked in the room and it was very good. Likewise for the pool.

The hotel is located within close walking distance to the beach, stores and a wonderful variety of eating establishments. The room was clean but small and dated. I would still recommend it if you are looking for a great location to grab some sleep before you go out and enjoy what Ocean Side has to offer.

The room was clean and quiet. The customer service was great! They are very friendly. The one downside is that they need to update the rooms to have a USB port for charging devices. Most hotels offer this convenience these days.

This is our favorite hotel in OCEANSIDE, COVID19 rules have the amenities tough but they have figured out a way to make hot breakfast. The staff is unbelievably special, they are the absolute Diamond Stars, they hit every need, every special moment, and leave no stone unturned for you during your stay! This was a very nice stay. We wanted to be on the ocean, but this hotel is about 2 blocks up. When I went to check in, the attendant Tobias, at the front desk moved us to a room "with a view"! We could see the ocean off a ways. Tobias was so accommodating; and in more ways than one; he was Just downright friendly. We forgot a few things and he made sure we were good. He seemed to be that way with everyone. Around the hotel: There's a clean, nice sparkling little pool outside. In our room things were cozy, yet a bit small. The beds were doable, not the best but very clean. There was was a small gym that was functional. What is more, I loved the two sitting rooms with large TVs. But we especially loved the fire pit. We always travel with our largest iPad and mini speaker. We went and got free coffee and hot chocolate (Yep free!!! With creamers I n large fresh dispensers that was actually good!!!) So, we went outside twice, set things up and enjoyed a movie in the cool night air with a toasty fire and each other. We even moved inside to one of the sitting rooms and chatted for a bit. Just helped with spaciousness. We would certainly come back if we were to return to Oceanside.

The staff was very professional and greeted us every time they saw us. The amenities offered during Covid times was amazing. The staff does a great job at keeping everything clean & safe. Any time we walked by the front desk, we were greeted.

The room was kind of clean. The bathroom was a little icky with hair and dust. As well as the room. The hotel wreaked if marijuana on the bottom floor every night we entered the building. There was loud music until 2/3 in the morning. The back door to the hotel would constantly be left open when returning to the hotel for the evening. Our remote did not work, would not change channels.

Since this is COVID time, I expected there would not be any housekeeping, but they sure did! Cleaning crews were so great. They work hard (thank you!) . The entire hotel was super clean, they are constantly cleaning everywhere, amazing. Pool was open, hot tub was closed, fitness center was open. Free breakfast (Great!) and coffee station all day. Room is clean, very clean. The TV remote my my room did not work well, so I was a bit frustrated. Bathroom was very small, and the shower was angled (?) very strangely (???) in triangle....and super small. Toilet seat and toilet paper was very far away (and I am really short....) so I had a hard time to reach from where I was sitting. I wish they had a bathtub....or a bit roomy shower. AC worked very well. Great size refrigerator and microwave, which I used during my stay. Also, Free parking for the guest, that was a big plus. Neighbourhood was a bit "iffy"....I walked around a lot to check out the surrounding, and I was a bit scared a couple of times...

Hotel was amazing! Clean, quiet and staff very professional. Tabias was very professional, helpful and had outstanding customer service. The breakfast was delicious. The lady serving us was very sweet and helpful. I loved how the ocean was minutes away. There was great food walking distance. We would definitely come here again.

Really nice hotel tucked in among several others. Customer service is wonderful. Rooms are updated and very nice. Breakfast was very good, even with COVID-19 restrictions. Great location, near Camp Pendleton and waterfront. I had the misfortune to leave some items in my room and didn't discover it until I was home halfway across the country. Called the hotel, the items were recovered and were sent to me within a couple days. Very appreciative of this kind of service. Planning to return to the area in the near future and will stay here again.

This hotel is lovely. The front desk staff is efficient, competent and very caring. I have traveled a great deal as flight crew and stayed in many hotels. BW has an Excellent location, we felt safe, PPE was exceptional. BW went to extra lengths to clean and sanitize things! Even the TV remote was wrapped in a sanitizer bag letting us know it had been sterilized. It was a last minute idea to get away and find a nice room near the beach in Oceanside. Our check in was easy, parking secure, hotel clean, bed comfortable! We had a pleasant stay.

If your looking for just a bed this is the place to go, very cheap and it is a comfortable bed.....but that's it! Just came back from a 4 night stay and to be totally honest the hotel is so basic. Breakfast was dismal the choice was cereal to go a banana to go or a muffin to go...understandable covid has a lot to do with that but the choice was . awful. We went out for breakfast everyday. These people talking about how great the staff are we didn't see anyone apart from the girl at reception. The hotel has no restaurant or mini bar so if you want anything take it with you before hand. Oceanside as an area was very disappointing think Carlsbad town was a lot nicer. The good thing about Oceanside is the sea for boogie boarding but be prepared to meet a very busy beach. Wouldnt return.

This place is perfect, the beach is in the backyard, great restaurants and of course amazing employees like Tobios and Andres. The rooms are clean, cozy, and comfortable. The price per night can't be beat either

We decided to get out of town at the last minute. Luckily we found a room at the Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms that was reasonably priced. The check-in process was quick and the room was easy to get to. The room was very clean and I like how they put the remote in a bag letting you know they cleaned it. The bathroom was also very clean. My kids loved the pool and just being in a hotel. The breakfast was actually pretty good considering the pandemic. The staff was super friendly. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here in June 2020 and had a great stay. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very compliant with all safety standards and required masks for all guests when not in rooms and/or eating. Our room was clean and the a/c was cold, we would stay here again!

I have no other hotel to compare this with, as I love staying here to be at the ocean, for the past three yearsfor my personal "stay vacation" as I live only 50 miles away. This hotel is located across from freeway offramp, it is a 1 mile south of the pier, and a 1 mile walk north to the harbor, I like walking to both, don't have to worry about parking. Every Thursday 52 weeks out of the year the have a Farmers Market by the pier in the morning, when there wasn't this pandemic, they have an awesome food & vendor/ shopping/ music filled Sunset Market on Thursday evenings. Hope they can resume doing that soon.

I came to this hotel to get away from a stressful situation. I found that they were still excepting customers during this crisis, we are all going through. I walked into a delightful atmosphere of excellent customer service from check in to check out. This helped calm my nerves. Highly recommended in the future.

These ladies went above and beyond, they were so sweet and helpful to my daughter & I. Even the cleaning ladies went above and beyond with our room, setting up my daughter's stuffed animals on her bed. I never needed anything, and they always made sure to talk to me as I came and went. I was treated with the highest respect and love. You really couldn't have a better staff, or a better stay.

Staff if friendly and try and get you checked in quickly and conveniently. Also very kind about letting us switch to late check out. Both interior and exterior of hotel are very clean. This was my second time staying here and it's seems as though it was better this time around and I didn't think it needed to be improved the first time around so I'm very pleased and look forward to staying here again in the future.

This is the fastest and easiest out of all the check-ins I've come across.

Just stayed here for one night and could easily have stayed longer. Firstly,the staff on reception were very friendly,informative and polite. A credit to the brand. Large room with huge comfy bed,microwave,fridge,tv and toiletries. Free breakfast with a choice of cereals,fruit,freshly cut fruit,yogurts,juices,waffles,breads,bagels,muffins and hot choices with tortillas too. Location is good as there were lots of eateries close by and it was a ten minute stroll straight along the road to a good choice of restaurants and bars. Also about a ten minute walk from the beach. You could stay here and not have to use the car at all. This short one night stay made us definitely want to return to Ocean Beach for longer.

When we arrived we were greeted by Dakota at the front desk, he was exceptional and helped us with all of our questions of the hotel and area. Enjoyed our time by the pool and walks on the beach. The room clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, but didn't change in the five mornings we were there.

I've been traveling down from LA to Oceanside as a part of the AK TV show film/production crew, and have stayed at the BWP Oceanside palms each visit. The rooms are decorated in warm tones which feels homey, with a classic ocean/beach feel and style. It is tucked off the busy road, which lends itself to a quiet getaway with just a quick walk down to Main Street, the strand, shops/restaurants and the beach/water. The entire staff is friendly, and I received an especially warm welcome (and huge smile!) from ERIC P, which feels genuine, inviting and welcoming back each time I come down to work. Loved everything about the property, price and most importantly the staff! Property and room are very well maintained and the decor was spot-on. Every member of the staff was SUPER nice and accommodating... greatly appreciate it!! I'll be seeing ya'll next time I'm in the area :)

The hotel was easy to find. It isn't in the best location, but it was fine for our purpose. Doesn't have any good views at least from the 3rd floor. The staff was very friendly and that is always a plus. The room was clean and comfortable. Fast check-in and check-out. Great places to eat in the area. Ocean extremely close to walk to.

The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming! But when I went into the room, I couldn't believe how small it was. I was very disappointed by the size of the room. It was difficult walking around with my little ones. I do t even know why they have a desk. If you sit in the chair, nobody else can get around you without climbing over the bed.

This hotel had comfortable beds and accommodations for me and my family. My son loved the pool, which was warmed and clean and I enjoyed the jacuzzi. There was a nice variety of breakfast items. All of the staff from front office to cleaning staff were polite and professional.

We stayed at this fabulous hotel for the first time. It had great facilities and friendly staff. The room was very spacious, very clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold food. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely visit again if we come back to Oceanside.

If you are really into customer service then this is the place for you. Especially the two guys that check me in the night of February 1st. Overall the staff that I encountered was nice. If you are really into WiFi speed then this is not going to be the place for you. And the water pressure was low

This place was so clean, quiet and breakfast was unbelievable, I would definitely stay here again. The location was excellent and there were so many things to do.the beach was closer lots of shops, downtown scenic was within a half an hour from the hotel and the beach was within 10 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay here. Great guest service from Dakota at check-in and Amber at check-out. Friendly and informative. The hotel has all of the amenities we needed: free breakfast, parking and wi-fi, pool, exercise room, etc. Also, it is conveniently located close to the beach, local restaurants/markets, and 5 freeway. It is just a short drive to Carlsbad (Legoland and the outlet). The rooms were nice, updated, and clean. Breakfast staff were very friendly as well. Great breakfast selection including sausage, eggs, potatoes, yogurts, waffles, fruit, etc. They even had rice, tortillas, and salsa.

Best Western at Oceanside is very nice. I have stayed at this particular hotel numerous times and the service is generally excellent. The rooms are basic but clean and pleasant and the price for the stay is reasonable.

This property was well situated for exploring the Oceanside area. Good Value, clean and efficient service. Service staff was helpful with directions and we received discounts at local restaurants, Ocean Brioler was great.

My husband , mum, daughter , son and I just stayed here for a week . We were over from England to visit family we had recently made contact with after 27 years ! We arrived around 8 in the evening and checked in very quickly . The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay . The rooms were great , bed comfy , free WiFi , cable tv , coffee maker and fridge . The housekeeping team did a great job all over the hotel . The breakfast which was included in the price was great . Cereals, pastries , toast, eggs, sausages , bagels , fruit , yoghurt and my daughters favourite the waffle station !! Good value proposition with a surprisingly good and complete breakfast. Staff was attentive and friendly. Room was clean. Beds were firm but not uncomfortable. Lighting in rooms was a bit dim with all lights on.

This hotel should definitely be a 3 1/2 star, from the moment I arrived it was welcoming, Dakota and Gladys were amazing hosts, very proficient, knowledgeable of the area, and well prepared to serve. I'm coming back in March, we selected the right place to stay. Thank you

Clean comfortable rooms, wonderful customer service. You will walk in to see a neon blue water/bubble display that adds a fun atmosphere to the lobby. I really enjoyed my stay here. Another great perk to this location is the walk ability to the beach and great restaurants.

My wife and I arrived two hours early after an awful flight and the young lady at the front desk (Griselda) allowed us to get into our room early, which was the only thing that went right for us that day. The next day two other young ladies (Illianna and Gladys) helped us move to a more appropriate room after I accidentally booked an ADA room, and a few issues with neighbors. The care, concern, and professionalism of these three ladies GUARANTEED my wife and I will return to this hotel when we come back in the summer :)

While u saw renovations mentioned in other reviews, i felt the hotel was a little dated. The rooms are dark, the mattress was really uncomfortable and the pillows lumpy. There is very little storage space. We tried both a regular room and upgraded to a room with bathtub and kitchen. While the upgraded room is bigger (regular rooms are very small), we had issues across the board. The fridge was so noisy we had to unhook it. There is a train we could hear loudly in the room on regular basis. The floors crick loudly. The water pressure was very poor. For its price i expected much more. P.s. the included breakfast is fine but on some if the days we had to wait 20 minutes just to get in.

For the money there is not a better hotel in the area. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful . The hotel is by several attractions and restaurants. Great value

I never do hotel reviews, but Amber was super nice and helpful! We had a bad day of travel and with a smile, took such good care of us we decided to stay 2 more nights and will definitely return the next time we need some R&R time. First of all, we normally stay while traveling at home rentals, however we decided to give BW a try while visiting Legoland and Sea World San Diego as a last min trip. Not kidding around when we say we paid 143 all in per night. This is a great price for the location with plenty of places to eat at near by yet close to Legoland and about 33 mins to Sea World. Now for the hotel, the place was super clean and the rooms spacious. The two queen beds were comfy, free WiFi in room worked great, small fridge, microwave and cable tv to boot. Free parking was bountiful and well lit at night. To top it off BW provides a free breakfast buffet style in the morning. The breakfast was the topping on the cake. BW Oceanside, you made us decide to give hotels a try again after this visit. The all in price is unbeatable. Thanks for changing the business plan and adapting the model to fit renters like us who left to try home rentals yet found in BW what home rentals are missing. Applause BW!

I was in for a quick trip. I was able to check in late. Had an amazing nights sleep. Best pillows ever! Best was amazing. Definitely will book again when I come back to San Diego. Breakfast and coffee were great too!

I really enjoyed my stayed here. This hotel is close to everything Oceanside has to offer. The young lady Gladys on second shift is absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure me and my brother felt welcomed all 4 days we stayed there. Gladys is a very friendly people person and knows how to make guest feel more than just another passer by. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip.

This hotel is fantastic. Location is easy to get to, the rooms are clean, there is free internet and free breakfast. Also, a refrigerator and microwave in every room. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The hotel was Beautiful! Best Hospitality Ever! My sister has ALS and they were very accommodating to her needs. This was my 1st time to California. I will definitley return to this hotel on my next trip Thank you for making this the Best Sister/Family Trip Ever!

The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best we've had at a hotel. The hotel is central located near many restaurants, the movie theater & the beach. We had a great stay!

There is nothing really wrong with the hotel. However, everything about it is a bit old, the rooms slightly musky, and hard to get the A/C to just the right temperature. Breakfast is not up to snuff -- fruits are packaged rather than freshly cut, not even butter (just margarine), only sugary yogurt, paper plates and plastic utensils -- all cheap.

Just off the Interstate and right on the Pacific Coast Highway but set back so no noise. Always start the day with a varied breakfast. Then you can walk it off to the famous Pier about 15 minutes away. Likewise with the Thursday Night Market. Many of he restaurants and brew pubs are just a short walk so no need to drive once you have arrived. The front desk girls were great on checking in and out and for any information you require.t. i would like to be able to have a USA Today or San Diego paper to read near the pool or in the room. They are not available here as they are in other Best Westerns. I would gladly buy one. The pool area is nice on the west side of the hotel for mid-day to late afternoon sun. All in all this is a clean, modern hotel at a reasonable price.

we enjoyed our stay here, however our room did not get cleaned while we were away, but more towels were delivered upon request. Staff was great at check in even tho there was an issue with reservation.

amazing staff and very nice hotel. had been up and traveling for over 24 hours. first hotel we checked into in Oceanside CA. was gross and I was very dissatisfied . looked up other hotels up. found the Best western Plus. went over. as soon as we walked in the front door Eric Gladys and Amber Justin made us feel welcome and matched the rate from another booking site for their hotel. great staff, great breakfast bar, very clean. will be our goto place when in Oceanside CA

We had a great time at this hotel. It wasn't busy and run over with guests. We thought it was an exceptional value. Great room, great breakfast, nice pool area, and just a few blocks from the ocean and Oceanside Pier area.

The service at the front desk was excellent! Ilianna checked us in and was very gracious and accommodating. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The beds and linens were terrific. The location is perfect for getting around Oceanside, which is very walkable.

This was a very nice BW. I came into the room late from my event, and they were ready for me. Very Friendly staff and fast check in. It was a very nice room clean and the kitchen was a bonus even though we did not use it.

Family Fun Visit for Grandparents Grandkids loved swimming and then they wanted to stay. Justin was very accommodating, supplying us with cogitators, blankets & pillows. We enjoyed are granddaughters & their parents had a quiet evening!

We have stayed at this Best Western Plus.... For 7 years conservatively. We can stay anywhere. But have always felt safe and have been treated with love and Respect. They make us feel like family. The location is also a prime reason we stay there, because I frequent the Marine Corps base. And of course the beach is our biggest real for coming here. We also got married here 46 yrs ago. Thus is where we started our lives.... Oceanside is our home away from home. Which is almost 3,000 Mike's away in Alaska. We come here every year. To renew and refresh our memories of our beginning.

We really enjoyed our stay here we even stayed on an extra night. Great location we could walk one way to the beach and the other way the the Harbor easy walking distance to good restaurants and a really good small grocery store across the street. Room was very clean taken care of very well each day except for the toiletries I had lots of lotion and conditioner shampoo I had to get more off them. I think it might have been not able to read the labels. Bed was really good got a good night's sleep after the fresh Ocean air. All in all a really nice stay the fire pit at night was lovely we would sit there and have a glass of wine just watching the fire. There is a pool at the back of the building but we never used it. Breakfast was good enough to start the day nothing lavish. The front desk I couldnt praise enough they all were excellent very friendly very helpful check in and out very fast. I couldnt find anything to fault the hotel on. We had friends stay in the same hotel with us and they really enjoyed it too. We are going back to Oceanside the end of the year this will be our hotel of choice.

I have never noticed this hotel before and we were a little worried about staying here because the area is not my favorite part of Oceanside but I was beyond thrilled with our stay. The staff was beyond amazing, the breakfast was yummy and the entire place inside and out was extremely clean and inviting.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus Ocean Palms in Oceanside this past weekend. It's not only a very nice hotel with super clean rooms but also my home away from home. This was my third visit there in the last 2 years. The minute when I walked into the lobby towards the reception desk, I was greeted by a very nice polite young man with a warm welcome. He was so efficient that within a couple of minutes I was given a key to my room. Throughout my stay , every employees that I encountered, from receptionists, to housekeepers and the breakfast servers, was very courteous and professional. I was extremely impressed by the team work displayed at the restaurant who served breakfast on Sunday morning. They all greeted me with big smiles even though they were all working very hard during the peak breakfast hours when the room was jam packed with hotel guests. Then I saw a man walked into the room and immediately took charge, sitting people, cleaning tables and bringing food out... wow, I was impressed how everyone working there that morning was so attentive. Later on i found out that the man who came in and took charge was the manager. Now i understand why the employees there work together like a team, works so hard to take great care of guests like myself. Oh by the way, the buffet breakfast had a lot of choices and I love those big fat waffle there. It was out of this world. I am a retired business man and know nothing about the hotel business. But I can tell the thing that makes this hotel success is the entire management team and all the employees. I highly recommend this hotel without any hesitation to anyone who wants to go to Oceanside. Keep up the good work!

The hotel was nice, we had no issues. We felt that we were a little more off the beaten path than what we had hoped, in that downtown was a bit further of a walk than what we had envisioned. We would have liked.

Dakota and Gladys were really awesome. They were both smiling and enthusiastic when answering our questions about the area, things to do and places to eat. The whole staff was friendly and said HI every time we saw them. Rooms were very nice, hotel close to everything we needed. walking distance to harbor area and some great food.

This hotel is a great property, the front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the area the beach is very close and legoland aswell. We had a great stay and the room was clean and breakfast was awesome.

My handicapped husband and I had an ADA room near the front of the hotel. Everything was above and beyond our expectations. The staff was helpful recommending a local restaurant which was located five minutes away. The room was clean the bed was comfy. The shower was perfect for myself and my husband. we had come down to oceanside for a surf compition, this hotel is close to beach and amenities. the staff was very helpfully, nicely renovated. The breakfast was well stocked amd had plenty of options. The room was clean, beds could have been a littly more comfortable but I never sleep as good as i do in my own bed. There are plenty of spots to even hang out outside and enjoy the fresh ocean breeze.

So my mother and I just checked me in for one night on 9/26. The next morning my mother wanted to extend the stay for another night to get the deal that they are advertising 2 for 3 nights. They confirm it with her and she tells me to go down there because they need my I'd. When I get there 3 girls with attitude tell me that it doesn't count and that they cannot honor the deal because they wanted my mother to drive all the way back just to verify her cc card when she did that the night before. It made no sense and I think these employees are incompeten. They had me drive back just to make me angry and tell me they can not do it when they told the cardholder they could.

Hotel is situate right off the SR21 intersection. Be mindful of GPS direction that says sharp left turn but has to pull into the middle island before taking a U turn or left into on of the buildings. Hotel is quiet , great pool for kids,breakfast has something for everyone and coffee is available throughout the day.Close to beach and about 15 mins drive to legoland. fitness center is cramped but not many folks seems to use it.

We stayed one night here and were very comfortable. The TV actually had a guide so we could look to see what we wanted to watch instead of blindly searching channels. Also, Gladys checked us in and was extremely helpful. When we arrived we realized we were an hour away from our daughter. She helped us find a Best Western Plus closer to our daughter. We were able to switch hotels the next day. Gladys was very compassionate, polite and helpful. She also knew a lot about the BW hotels and assisted us in finding a BW Plus that we would enjoy. We appreciate her help so much!

Ok im not one for writing bad reviews so i wont go into what happenend to us. To make a long story story short I booked a horrible hotel. Checked out and left quickly. After driving 7 hours with our 7 month old grandson I lucked out and found Best Western Ocean Palms nearby. Walked in at 10:00 pm and met my hero Glady's. I found out later she is a fairly new employee. Well you guys found a winner. She took very good care of us. Friendly nice and informative. All the staff we later encountered was great as well. The breakfast was great. Super clean modern updated rooms. Coffee 24/7. Great location. Great ammenities. Got a restaurant reccomend from the front desk and it came with a 20 dollar disount. Lots of great restaurants at the marina. Enjoy.

Very nice hotel, staff is wonderful. Nice, clean full breakfast. Hotel is right off of Hwy 5 so it isn't right by the beach but we did walk there one day. There is a free parking garage next to the bus station and you can walk easier to the beach from there. There are 2 older hotels next to this one, they are not as nice just an FYI. Neighborhood is ok, hotel is not located in the main tourist area but it close by. Staff gave us lots of help with tourist/bus/Amtrack info. Our room only had a shower no tub not sure if that is standard or not. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is beautiful along with the many amenities and fabulous hot breakfast.. the staff is very welcoming and approachable and one in particular his name is Dakota he was absolutely amazing he made our stay and Oceanside the best we've ever had. Dakota was amazing from the time he made a reservation all the way until we arrived he made sure we wanted for nothing he got us extra blankets and made our stay very comfortable. We definitely recommend this hotel for family or business

This was one of the most enjoyable stays at a hotel, it really felt at home , everything was excellent. The hotel looks great, the fire pit, the swimming pool area with the BBQ, the breakfast was very tasty and with excellent variety, .... overall it was excellent stay for my family

From the minute we arrived until the minute we left, we were treated so well. At the reception area, Dakota and Ashley were especially hospitable and gracious. The free breakfast was a big plus with all of its offerings. Our room was a suite with a huge bathroom, and a mini kitchen filled with all the necessities.

During our stay to see our Marine graduate training, we were able to sleep well, enjoy the pool and hot tub and have quick access to the beach. The entire staff -- especially everyone at the front desk -- were so helpful and would assist me and my guest with speed and efficiency. I would like to recognize these wonderful people that were at the front desk during our stay: Mike, Amber, Ili, Dakota, Eric, Justin, Griselda and Pavl! 5-stars for each of these employees!!!!!***** They were extremely courteous and helpful. I didn't get the names of the housekeeping staff, but our room was clean and if we needed extra anemities, we could ask them if they were in the hall and we got what we needed. The pool and hot tub were great, especially the hot tub on my bad knee after a long day of standing and walking. I even was able to chat with the general manager and he was very nice and helpful. They only thing that I must complain about are the room keys. They are too sensitive and we had to replace a card 5 times due to it quit working. The GM said they were trying to upgrade the key card system and I highly recommend Best Western assist them in getting the better and secure key card system. Time spent on recoding room keys could be better spent with all guests with other tasks. I would definitely recommend this Best Western to my friends and family -- but to be careful with your room key until a new system can be implemented. Thank you all for such a wonderful and pleasant stay!!!

We have stayed at the Best Western Oceanside Palms 3 times this past year and will be going again in October. There are so many reasons why this is a great place for us. It is clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. It is in an awesome location convenient to the highway & Camp Pendleton's main gate. The harbor, the pier, beaches, grocery & liquor store,and the California Visitors Center are all within walking distance. The breakfast served in the morning is very good with something for everyone and even though we have never used it, there is a nice small pool and hot tub area.

The staff here is very nice! They seemed to have a rapport with every guest. The rooms are great for the value. The location is walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. We drove to LEGOLAND one day. It was 10 minutes away and half the price of any hotels close to the park.

This hotel is a hidden gem among other hotels that are so so. The entire stay was great from the moment I checked in to the time I checked out. Room was a bit smaller than I had expected but the amazing bathroom made up for it. The beds were comfy and had my choice pillows. The AC did hum a bit but after awhile you drown it out. Would definitely stay again and have already told others about this hidden gem.

I needed a quick reservation in Oceanside for a funeral. The room itself was OK. The breakfast was a large variety from yogurt to waffles and juice and coffee. I did not have any problems until I specifically forgot an item, and knew right where it was and called back to have them send them to me. The claim is...I didn't leave anything. I did, my night time driving glasses. $300 glasses with a prescription lens for monovision that will probably NEVER work for someone else. So it either to much work to turn them in SO they got thrown in the trash or the person takes them and gets new lenses for themselves. Either way, this place has staff that truly does NOT care about your safety or your belongings. A thief is a thief the minute the front desk does not receive the belonging... I will NEVER stay at a BEST WESTERN again. Good Luck!

After a disaster at a nearby hotel, we checked into the Oceanside Palms. They had a first floor handicap friendly room that was fantastic. Clean new and fresh. It was steps to the coffee bar and breakfast area. The side entrance was handicap friendly, again steps from the room to the car. This was a huge issue for us. The staff knew of our prior issue and were so accommodating they could not have been more helpful. when I called, it was as though this was meant to be. The breakfast was really good, my only issue was the breakfast room was crowded school had not started yet and families were getting their final vacation at the beach in. The hotel was close to Harbor Dr, with restaurants and the water nearby. It was a couple of minutes to the freeway and close to everything, I will stay at this hotel again, it was well worth it, plus it has laundry facilities and free parking.

I've stayed here a lot in the past few months, and have a few more room nights to go. Always a good experience, from check-in to check-out. All of the staff I've come across are extremely personable, and that's a big plus. Location, can't be beat, very close to the freeway (but no freeway noise). Many restaurants in close proximity, at Oceanside Harbor or down the street (Pacific Coast Highway). Or if you want the real California experience, walk across the street to In N Out. This particular BW has a big breakfast room, which is really nice. The usual breakfast items -- eggs, some sort of meat (bacon, sausage, it rotates) is served every day, and there are waffle machines, including a mini waffle machine, which should please the kids. Plus bagels, sweet rolls, fruit, cereals, you know the drill. Rooms are clean, well appointed and well maintained. Pretty quiet, too. Bathroom is large. The amenities they use for toiletries are really nice. My only quibble -- the mattresses are pretty hard on this old back. Ah, well. To be younger.

Clean, quiet, large, relaxing & functional room - very nice bathroom & shower. Plenty of parking spots. Pool, spa tub, BBQ/picnic/patio area, fitness room, guest laundry. Large, light-filled breakfast room with great selection of food. We would absolutely stay here again!

Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, semi comfortable beds.. needs better climate control (too hard to adjust to body temperature) TV remote not working properly, front door needs better security locks and safe. Breakfast its ok(needs more food options) friendly staff...

I've yet to meet a more welcoming, accommodating and conversational staff group than this hotel. First night there I was helped out by Dakota and Gladys. They were very sociable with smiles the whole time and helped me join the rewards program as well as share with me local eateries to enjoy. Ashley helped me in the morning and convinced me with his good attitude to get the 20 dollar travel gift card for a future stay. Through circumstance I found myself here the next day to check in again and was helped by Eric and Justin. Both gentlemen had great attitudes and accommodated my needs for needing another quick room for the night as well as redeeming my 20 dollar gift card that my email hadn't received yet. I was very grateful to meet such a great staff and I hope Best Western is acknowledging the effort these individuals put in and how such a well job representing this company. This experience alone will have me returning whether it's business or a stay-cation.

Our check-in arrival was absolutely wonderful! Staff was Very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Hotel only a few minutes from the beach/pier and a lot of restaurants to choose from. Would stay here again.

I'm a fan of BW lately. They offer so much and are priced right. Plus the membership is a NO BRAINER. Participate and you get goodies. The only problem would be the AC was smack in front of a bed so it got too cold for that person. The slats don't shift so you can't redirect the air. After some Macgyvering it was okay. The location was oddly placed and with a child, we had to figure out a change without turning off the AC. Otherwise the sleep quality I would rate higher. Beds and pillows were fine.

The customer service at the Best Western is none you will ever experience again! We have traveled extensively all over the world and can say, without hesitation, this is the best customer service we have ever had. Dakota, Eric, and the entire team were amazing! We felt like we were saying goodbye to family when we left.

I've stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it. However, I won't stay there again after the way I was treated by hotel management. I made an initial reservation, then later attempted to add a group reservation for a team for a tournament. A number of families booked rooms based on the information I provided them. I realized that the rate I was quoted was significantly lower than my initial reservation, so called back to request an adjustment. Despite speaking with the same hotel employee, I was then transferred from person to person for over 30 minutes, with each insisting that they were not the person to handle the issue. Finally I got back to the initial employee, who then admitted he had quoted me the wrong rates, apologized for his mistake, but said they couldn't honor the lower rate. After clarifying, I understood that mistakes happen and let it go, though expressed my wish he had simply acknowledged the mistake right away to save me the time and transfers. Later, I was shocked to be informed that the hotel had canceled my reservation. A different hotel manager advised me that the employee claimed that I used profanity with him. That simply did not happen. I was upset and explained to the manager that I had not even raised my voice, much less said anything inappropriate. I requested that the manager review any tape of the phone call. Instead, I received lectures and insistence that I had to have said whatever the employee had claimed, which they never actually told me. There was no effort to work with me to understand how this could have happened, if there had perhaps been a mix-up, or perhaps the employee was concerned I would file a complaint about the error in rate quote. The manager told me he would "investigate" and get back to me, but never did. I've filed a complaint with the corporate office. They've lost the business of our team.

The Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms turned out to be an excellent choice and a really good value. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and breakfast was excellent. My husband and I took a walk to the beach which was only a half mile away. Later we went to Oceanside Harbor Village which was a quick one mile drive. Get there before 11am to find parking on the weekend. We had relatives who stayed at a different hotel in Carlsbad and were not happy. After seeing the Best Western, they said that they would stay there in the future.

This was our 5th stay at this property. The hotel is well taken care of. Rooms are tastefully decorated and always clean. The breakfast selection has good variety and now includes bacon which ai totally appreciate since sausage is not my favorite. The complete staff is always helpful and professional. Everyone always greets the guests. All are excellent. However, Keilynn at the breakfast area always greets guests with a good morning and a beautiful smile. She is on top of the food selection making sure nothing runs out. She helps the guests find what they need. And always does it with a great smile and attitude. I have never seen her hurried or frustrated. She is the best and part of what keeps us coming back.

This hotel is very nice for the price. Great location, clean and comfy. We had one of the rooms with a kitchenette, which was only $10 more a day, and was a lot of extra room. The pool and hot tub were in very good condition. Free parking, and the hotel is a short drive to Legoland and various beaches. Only complaint is the coffee was terrible.

The overall stay was Excellent the Staff is wonderful!! I have no complaints I will continue to come to this Hotel when I visit Family again! The breakfast is a Five Star buffet! Thank you very much !

Room was really nice, but we could hear a lot of noise from other rooms. Morning staff didn't seem to care when we expressed our concerns about the noise. We were given an extended check out till 1pm without a charge, but they charged us anyway. Night staff were amazing. Breakfast was crowded, but selections were good. Hallways and elevator were dirty, but our room was clean and cozy. Hotel doesn't allow pets, but someone came in with a huge dog that barked and said it was a service animal, but it clearly wasn't . Swimming pool was said to be heated at 82 degrees, but it was barely 70 degrees. Spa was nice, but always crowded because pool was so cold. Hotel is near stores, restaurants, gas and freeway.

My stay here was amazing. The front desk clerks were so helpful and nice. Thanks Eric and Dakota for making my stay so enjoyable. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Ocenside CA. They also have the best breakfast Everything was fresh and delicious.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. On our first day we left the hotel before 8 AM and returned after 3 PM, the room had not been cleaned. Not happy about that ... when they did arrive, we were too pooped to leave the room so just got fresh towels. Internet is spotty (logs you out, then on, then out, etc). For the price, the hotel should have done better. Will shop around for a better value next time.

It is a very nice hotel with great staff. It is a bit challenging to get into the parking lot. You have to be coming from one way because if you try and enter from the 76 it is right in the middle of the transition to Coast HWY. One U-turn and you are at the hotel. We parked and then used Uber to get around. Great value and good location for getting around.

All staff were really wonderful! Service was top notch!! We loved the facility and the amenities. Rooms are clean, breakfast is pretty good and it's close to the beach, pier, stores and restaurants! We will definitely be returning!!

We recently visited Best Western plus, so glad we picked this spot. Originally we chose other hotels but read reviews and changed to Best Western plus, so glad we did. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Amber, Justin and Mike helped us out. Our room was super clean, comfy bed and restroom was spotless. I would definitely stay at this spot again in the future. Only booked on the morning of arrival (Saturday in high season) so the price we paid was top end However we had a great stay in this family orientated establishment I agree with the other reviews saying the staff made a real difference. Distance to the beach was not bad. Easily able to walk. Was only about a 10 minute walk and you were right at the wooden pier. Lots of little vendors and things to do at the beach, even a little park right on the beach for the kids to play at.

What a great hotel! They welcomed my family and even gave the kids fresh baked cookies. On the fourth of July they grilled hamburgers and hotdogs at the pool, This was my favorite hotel experience. The rooms were very clean and good sized. The internet was fast and I was able to do the business I needed to get to.

I booked together with my tickets to LEGOLAND. My son had an awesome time at the park. The hotel was about a 15 minute drive. But the location of the hotel was perfect. A lot of good restaurants to eat at and so close yo the beach! The employees were helpful and polite. I recommend for the price!

From the time we checked in everyone was very nice not only to the adults but the child with us. Asking if we needed anything. We were able to call from the swimming pool when another guest took all the towels and they were out very quickly getting more towels for everone.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus the end of June. We had stayed at the hotel many, many years ago and thought it was OK. Several years ago they did a major renovation. The place looks amazing. The rooms are beautiful. Modern decor, super clean, and spacious. The bathroom is very, very nice. The towels are thick and plush. They provide the usual shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion and hair dryer. What makes this place is the wonderful breakfast each morning. The choices seemed endless. Coffee, tea, juices, cereal, yogurt, fruit along with wonderful warm food such as eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, jasmine rice, tortillas and make your own waffles. Food was fresh and very good. What made my breakfast so special was Tracy. She keeps the place clean and well stocked. Her greeting and conversation was great. She is so upbeat and kind you can't help but smile when talking with her. Thank you Tracy for making my day!

I went on a family trip and it was a great getaway. The hotel was very close to a lot of different food options. The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and nice. I would recommend Best Western!

I'd love to give this 4 star hotel 5 stars, but it is not a 5 star place... HOWEVER... if you want a really clean room, daily friendly greetings, and a great location between the pier and harbor, don't pass this place up. I would, without a doubt, recommend this hotel to anyone!

Super friendly staff that made checking in and checking out a breeze and helpful with things to do for out of towners. My son and I enjoyed having breakfast each morning of our stay and the location is around 15-20 minutes from Legoland which brought us to San Diego.

Everything about this hotel was fine; the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was an adequate buffet, rooms were good, Cable TV channels, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Quite clean and modern, lots of parking available, unlimited coffee and snacks available to buy. Would happily stay here again for the price compared to other hotels in the area. No complaints!

Overall everything about this hotel was run very well and you can tell the staff take pride in their jobs and service delivery. The hot breakfast was excellent every day! The location is only about a six blocks walk from a nice beach at Oceanside.

This hotel is nice. The room is clean and nicely decorated. The A/C is very quiet. One thing missing is there is no bathtub. The breakfast is good. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the beach. There are plenty of parking.

This was our 2nd stay at this location and will be were we stay for all future trips to Oceanside CA! Manager on duty so kind and friendly! Close to the Pier and all local shops. Visitors center located across street. Lots of food options with in walking distance. Free hot breakfast!

We had an outstanding stay at this fine hotel. The hotel is very clean and the staff very accommodating and friendly. If you are seeking a stay by the ocean to relax look no further. This location allows you to relax and is close to other attractions.

We really liked the hotel at first. Our room was very nice, we had a great view of the ocean, and housekeeping did their job well. However, the second night of our stay both keys stopped working. We were very tired and just wanted to get into our room to rest after a very busy day. We checked at the front desk and Justin, the night clerk, said the keys were very "sensitive" and would deactivate if they were around any kind of magnetic field, such as a cell phone; however, Derek, another employee, then interrupted to say that actually our keys had been deactivated because they had misplaced our paperwork and we needed to sign a new form. Locking us out of our room due to their mistake didn't seem very friendly on their part, especially since the room key is the only way to access the rear entrance of the hotel, which is where our room was located, and the lobby was on the opposite end of the hotel. This could have been handled better.

This hotel shows an 8.8 rating but it must be based on comparison to lower cost hotels. 115 rooms, less than 30 occupied during my visit. Yet hotel stuck everyone together on third floor resulting in a noisy floor, TV;s blaring, crowds. What are they thinking. Could have distributed occupants so no one above room and minimum activity. Probably easier to clean when together so they can send some staff home. View out window is a trailer park, not any water or pleasant view. Carpet looks ok but old style design Room walls are thin. TV in next room is on 24 hours per day and is blasting in my room. Front desk provides lip service and does nothing. AC loud. Small TV that requires one to stand up to get remote to work. Reviews say breakfast is "great". Only sausage as meat every day, frozen omelets, coffee out of a machine instead of brewed, oatmeal in a package instead of being prepared. Breakfast is not up to standards of Hampton, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and other moderate hotels. We are in Ca, but hotel uses plastic flatware and styrofoam plates and bowls. Really!!! Breakfast staff and housekeeping very competent and friendly-bet they are lowest paid.

I stay here over 7 days a month and it is always a pleasure! It is a hidden gem in the area. Oceanside has become my second home and there are so many places to be dined and entertained here. Roughly 10 mins to Legoland and 5 minutes to the beach!!!

We all need work for survival but when you invest alot of your time in a company it is more then a pay check. The place is clean and I enjoy being here but it is because of Ashley. Check in was fast, easy, and friendly staff. We checked in early with no extra charge.Room was ready and they asked us our preference although room was a little small, the beds were super comfortable. Modern and up to date. refrigerator and microwave was a big plus. Free breakfast was great!! and the best part of our stay with our 2 kids. Coffee and tea offered free 24hrs. heated pool but, still was too cold for us to enjoy. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of parking and free. We will definitely stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Service was great; our room exceptionally clean; you can open the windows at night for fresh air; and no complaints about the breakfast spread (was more than enough for all - variety and quantity). Within walking distance to local beaches and restaurants and in 15-20 minutes driving distance to othe SoCal Oceanside sixties on the Coastal Highway. Well worth the money we paid and we'll definitely be back!

I love to visit Oceanside and the location of this hotel just isn't ideal. Unfortunatley the neighborhood around this hotel is just not my favorite at almost anytime of day. The room and hotel itself were fine, it was just its location.

Me and my family stayed at the Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms for a family trip to Legoland. The room we choose was double queen with kitchenette it was spotless and super clean. I recommend for others to choose this type of room, especially from this hotel. The Manager Paul leads an immaculant hotel. He is so helpful whether it comes to help in the front end, to help during breakfast he is what true help should be. A hispanic Gentlemen with Long long hair braided in a long ponytail helped us in getting more pillows, other places have took a long time in getting things like this for me before, but he took seconds from his schedule and got it for us with a nice smile. I recomend this hotel to everyone. Thank you again to all the hotel staff and to the Manager.

Every person that we encountered that worked for the hotel was very nice and accommodating! One person that really stood out was Michael in dining. He worked really hard, was pleasant and accommodating every single time. He's awesome!

We spent two nights here during a recent visit to the the Oceanside, San Clemente and Carlsbad area. This is a clean, modern hotel wll located close the interstate that offers a comfortable stay at a great price. The staff at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the room was very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The hotel is modern and clean, with ample well lit parking, and the morning breakfast buffet had plenty of seating and was exceptional, with great selection of well stocked hot and cold food and drinks, staffed by friendly hard working staff that keep things clean and organized. It is a short 4 block walk to the beach strip, which allows you to leave the car at the hotel and stroll to the beautiful beach, avoiding the crazy parking scene along the beach boardwalk. We were very happy with our stay here and would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms for a spring break trip with a high school lacrosse team. There were ~30 of us total and we were there for 5 nights. If we had known our plans for next year, we would have rebooked before we left! The hotel staff was absolutely amazing and were the icing on the cake of a really great experience for the group. The front desk staff was super attentive and got to know everyone in our very large group during the time we stayed. They were always ready with a friendly greeting any time we walked through the lobby. Brendan, has to be one of the nicest people on the planet and Justin and Griselda were fabulous as well. Breakfast was included which was fabulous for us with such a large group. It was a full, hot breakfast with plenty of options including a chocolate batter for the waffle maker (which our boys really appreciated) and Michael and Traci kept everything clean and stocked! The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping staff was very attentive as well. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach and the paved river trail, plus close enough to downtown to walk to all the restaurants and pubs down there. When we make it back to Oceanside, we'll definitely stay there again!

The stay with my coworkers at the Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms was outstanding. Our RV broke down in Oceanside and we needed a last-minute place to stay for the evening. The staff at this hotel were some of the kindest, most accommodating and welcoming I've ever experienced. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly!

This is a great hotel close to the beach and pier. Nothing fancy but everything that you need. The breakfast is awesome- eggs, waffles,granola, decent coffee!!! By far the best part is the staff! They are so friendly especially Brandon. I don't think he ever stops smiling and makes you feel so welcome. I will be staying here again when I visit my daughter at CSUSM!!

my wife and I were out walking around ocean side harbor when we decided to stay the night. we were very lucky to book the last room at Best Western . we always stay at Best Western when we travel and we have never been disappointed . and the great breakfast is a plus .

The guestroom was spotless - loved the the little sofa and the fridge and microwave. It looked like it might have been recently renovated - the entire hotel looked super fresh and clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast that was included was actually really good - not just packaged danish and cereal like other "free breakfasts" at other hotels. I would stay here again and again. Parking was easy and it is really conveniently located.

We've now stayed here twice and both times we've had a great experience. The breakfast has lots of options and is all good quality. The rooms are very clean and beds are quite comfortable I don't personally like the pillows but I've got neck problems so I just bring my own pillow every time we travel and all is well. We honestly love how close we are to the beach a short walk(5-10mins. Max) in good distance to lots of other fun things and lots of dining options near by.

We booked this location before we left for Oceanside and we were given the option to pay when we got there. We realized the day we arrived that our family was staying in Carlsbad. We tried to cancel our booking, but it was too late. This turned out to be a good thing as our hotel was better. The staff were very friendly and helpful. After travelling for 7 hours we were happy to get into our room with time to get ready for a wedding reception later that day. The room had everything we needed. We were located near several food options. We did take out Mexican food which I had to drive 2 minutes around the corner for. It was delicious. The second night we stayed was March 2nd and we had Italian food. I thought the food prices were a little expensive, but delicious. We ate breakfast on our stay the second day in the dining hall. The food was great. There was a lot of choices. My son liked the pancakes and yogurt. We forgot about the timing of when breakfast ended on the second day when we were changing to the Legoland hotel, but the staff was able to give my son some cereal boxes which was really nice. Everything was accessible including the highway. My only issues were it is hard to make a right into the hotel as there is no median and the walls are thin that you can hear the adjoining rooms especially people talking in the hall. We knew this from other reviews so we asked for a quiet room and they put us on the third floor. I canèt imagine what the first floor rooms must go through. All in all we had a good experience. The staff were great especially in making suggestions on where to go to eat.

The hotel is great....the location isn't the best, but overall was great. Brandon at the front desk is WONDERFUL! If you're lucky to have him at check in, you'll be glad. He is very friendly, outgoing and just makes your stay extra special. I have been to many hotels and dealt with various personalities but Brandon was one of the best. He made sure we were all set for our Legoland trip and just his smile brightens up your day! The hotel overall is clean, nothing to complain about and the rest of the team there was great too. I would highly recommend this hotel and you cannot beat the rates. We got an unbelievable steal of a package with Legoland (they said it was a big glitch that I caught) so this stay at the BW was basically free, however we would come back and pay the full rate as it was a great. The breakfast is free and was OK. Didn't really eat much of it but better than a cold continental breakfast. The only suggestion would be to have better coffee...but that was my only complaint. IN and Out is across the street so that makes for an easy pickup but we also ordered pizza as there are several options for food & delivery to the hotel.

The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and pleasant. The lobby was absolutely beautiful. The room we stayed in was both clean and decorated nicely. It was convienent to have a fridge and a microwave. Only slight issue was a branch rubbing against the window every now and then but it wasn't too bad.

We initially checked in for 3 nights, but enjoyed the hotel and surroundings so much we stayed 4 nights. Angelica was on the front desk when we arrived and daily. She went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. She provided maps daily when we asked how to get somewhere, offered suggestions on how to get around the area and what to see, and where to eat. Excellent location, I certainly understand why this hotel as an excellent rating, staff are outstanding.

We booked at the BW Oceanside last minute and completely enjoyed our stay. It was superb! The room met our needs perfectly with the larger space, larger fridge, very clean space. The facilities were very clean and open. The staff was always busy, but not to busy to take time to help and go an extra step for us. The shower and main areas were very accessible, and the staff made sure they did not give our specified ADA room away, though there was a request. This was very important as we could not just take another room. Breakfast was hot and fresh. The location was great, could walk to the beach and restaurants easily. We would definitely stay here again.

We needed a 1-night getaway and chose this location based on the reviews. Thanks to all of you on TripAdvisor for not letting us down!! Every employee we encountered was very friendly and the place is spotless. Room 305 has a pulldown bench over the tub... perfect for soaking feet after all the beach walking. Plenty of soft towels, great wifi & lots to choose from at breakfast. Would I stay here again? Yes!!

Brandon is the nicest, happiest, and friendliest guy to register you in at midnight after a long 12-hour road trip. Then to have the friendly Barbara to assist you with the breakfast in the morning just makes for a wonderful and memorable stay here at Oceanside. Now, if all hotels were like this, we would never go back home.

It is evident that the hotel is has had some milestones in Oceanside, but the customer services made you appreciate everything else. Of course the outside is a bit outdated, but the room and bathroom was very modern, clean, and comfortable. I didn't spend a of time there to evaluate breakfast, but satisfied. Close to the Beach, and Camp Pendelton.

This BW is quite big, entering the lobby it seems a bit outdated, not so colourfull, but in fact everything is maintained properly, staff is great and rooms have all the amenities you could expect. Maybe a little smaller than normally, but for us no problem. Actually we had a view to the ocean, ask for room on third floor. Breakfast is as you should expect in BW+, pool is heated,nice, sunny all day long. 15 minutes walk to the beach or to the harbour. Paying less than 100$ including all taxes, I think this BW+ is great value for money. Weekends are quite busy here, lots of families, so breakfast in peakhour is not advisable.

I wanted a hotel in Oceanside. I found this Best Western and it was fantastic. Excellent staff, food, hot tub, pool, free parking, easy access from interestate. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet.

We had recruit traning at Camp Penlton this location was less than a 5min drive to the main gate. It was easy walk to the beach and the pier. On thursday they have music and local food vendors on one of the main street the food is awesome. The breakfast was great nice assortment but it is crowed on the weekends. I would remind you to keep a watchful eye when walking around there is a few street folk waking around it can make you feel a little uneasy but know onw came on the property this down by the beach and around the del taco

We had the best experience at this hotel. We have stayed in many Hotels and this by far was the best one yet. The Hotel its self was very nice and in a good location but by far it was the staff and how we were treated. The Lobby was clean and very nice. Our room was also clean and very nice. the room seemed a bit small but we managed it no problem. The Bathroom was a good size and very nice too. It was pretty quiet so that really made it nice. The complimentary breakfast wasn't to bad but I can't say that I loved it. They eggs were not my favorite but there was a pretty good selection over all. There was a lot of seating in the eating area but it was always crowded in there. The Hotel seemed to be a popular one and I can see why. I cant say enough on how friendly the staff was. We stayed three nights and that included Christmas eve. I asked the staff if they could help us surprise our four year old son with Santa leaving a couple gifts for him under the tree. We supplied the wrapped gifts and they did the rest. I was so touched on everything. They went over and beyond helping him have a wonderful Christmas that I will never forget. They all new him by name and and he loved feeling so special. We would definitely stay there again!

I requested two Queen size beds and the bed size was a double a bit larger than a twin. Also toilet is inside with the shower/bathtub. Sink area very small. Overall room was too small for the price. Need better photographs on web site. Further it was a very hot day in August and the lobby area didn't appear to have air conditioning and if did it wasn't on, therefore uncomfortable checking in at registration. On check out I wasn't asked how my stay was and there wasn't a rate sheet in the room for service. Housekeeping did a good job.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days right before Christmans. The rooms are very small but they were very clean. They have a very nice breakfast buffet. It was a little tight when trying to find a seat with so many people trying to eat at the same time. The front desk people were very accomidating in every way. Helped us find restaurants for lunch and dinner and suggest things to do that while we were there. My one complaint would be that the beds seemed a bit soft and the pillows were not very comfortable.

We were visiting from Michigan. Great experience. Staff was really friendly and the hotel was very nice. Would stay here again! The pool and hot tub were clean. If there was one thing we could change, it would be the location of the elevators. But that's just our opinion. It wasn't in front by the front desk. It was in the back of the hotel. Not sure if that's just a California layout but wasn't a big deal at all. We would recommend this hotel.

I've traveled to this area many times over the past several years for business. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! I've stayed at a few others, but always come back to the Oceanside Palms in the end. It's location is excellent for visiting the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. There are a multitude of local restaurants within walking distance or a few minutes drive. One can be on the beach in a short period and it's an easy, casual walk; and, there's plenty to see along the way.The staff is pleasant, cordial and courteous. They are quick to help and assist in whatever way they can. They make the experience quite enjoyable. It's definitely the place to stay if you're in Oceanside!!.

Secretly hidden above the harbour, you will discover this cozy gem...conveniently located in oceanside, this place is 10 mins to LEGO land, the outlets and 5 minutes to the beach. Great places to eat and the pier located 2 driving minutes away.

We love staying at Best Western Plus! Nice staff. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfy! We love the big breakfast they serve! The check in was fast. The hotel was decorated very modern and tasteful!

A very reasonably priced hotel and although it looks run down it honestly was great, the parking was free (unlike all the other hotels I've stayed in) breakfast was included and the selection was adequate enough to get a decent breakfast. There was scrambled eggs, potatos, bacon, waffle makers, yoghurts, fruits, cakes (I didn't really like the cakes but everything else was fine) and a drinks machine. The service was great too and the products in the room actually smelt really nice. The ac/heater was very powerful too.

The service was great. Details were handled in a timely manner. The room was clean and well tended too. I would definitely book this hotel again. I just wish they had a shuttle that could take you to LEGOLAND

Great location. It's right off of the highway but you can't hear the cars. You can hear the train in the distance but there's probably not anywhere in downtown Oceanside that you can't hear the train. Incredibly clean. Very comfortable. Very quiet. Very good(free) breakfast. Outstanding front desk personnel. Beautiful property. Very nice Business Center. Very nice public sitting area. They even had a "letters to Santa Claus" display in the lobby. Lovely pool and a very pretty area with a fire pit. Across the street from an In-N-Out which is a must do when in California.

Great value in Oceanside. Easy walk to the pier area, but away from the train noise. Friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. Free parking, and free breakfast with lots of offerings. What more can you ask for?

Stay at the this best western for a weekend getaway for our 10 year anniversary. Awesome location. Clean rooms, great amenities, and perfect location. Chris walker checked us in and out. Excellent employee and very helpful. He is the definition of a hard worker. Made our stay over the top. Recommend this location for all future trips to the area.

I went to Oceanside and San Diego to celebrate my daughters birthday. We had a very nice stay. The hotel is very conveniently located. The hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. They also gifted my daughter on her birthday. She was so happy.

The staff was super friendly!! They were all just amazing. Breakfast was good. They had a couple choices that aren't at most places I stay. The rooms were really nice. There was a fire pit outside by some tables so that was nice too

Right on coast highway. Room clean and neat. Good free breakfast. Friendly employees.spent three nights. Could hear noise from a baby but not from room to room. Plenty of free parking. Easy access off freeway

Best Oceanside hotel because staff is very personable and dedicated to customer satisfaction, only a few blocks from the beach, wonderful breakfast, and clean comfortable rooms! From offering to take pictures to finding all the boxes we needed, staff was incredible!

I'll give the room 5 starts the guy from night shift 5 stars now the morning is HORRIBLE I am a VIP member on Expedia since I travel a lot. I usually always get late check out and in all my years traveling never never ever had a problem and an experience like this one well in this hotel manager or housekeepers I don't know has knocked my door 6 times since 11am they even tried to open my door at 11:20 after I TOLD THEM I HAVE A LATE CHECK OUT!! My son was panicking telling me "mommy they're kicking us out" how freaking embarrassing and no is not cheap I paid $162 to stayed in a quiet area in Oceanside BUT IVE LEARNED MY LESSON IM NOT GIVING BEST WESTERN MY BUSINESS ANYMORE. Update*** still after verifying that IN FACT I HAVE A LATE CHECK OUT THEYRE STILL KNOCKING ON MY DOOR 8 times now!!!! What a freaking joke.

Stayed 3 nights starting Fri Oct 19, 2018. Room 244 (second floor of a three story hotel with elevator). Beds comfy. Pillows lumpy and like rocks so BYO. Great almost silent A/C. Location is fairly quiet, walkable to beaches, and a trail that leads to nature preserve. Wifi painfully slow. Needs better lighting near second table/end of bed (very dark there). Second floor was VERY noisy with people walking, jumping, and otherwise making a racket upstairs until the wee hours. So maybe ask to be on THIRD floor if you are a light sleeper. TWO desk areas plus 2-person dinette. Bathtub needed non-slip mat as there are no bars to hang onto. Towels are plush-looking but not absorbent (maybe they use fabric softener, which always kills the absorbency of towels). Staff does an excellent job with cleanliness and service. Maintenance needs to be more aware, however - second floor fitness center inside door handle fell apart and trapped me inside; gym tv remotes did not work. Breakfast is great. Pool area small and ok, but no views of anything except a boring wall. Room smelled nice, fresh - and very clean. Kitchenette is well-equipped with plates, cups, etc. In-room coffeemaker is horrid - makes weak watery coffee. So go downstairs to breakfast room for your java. Front desk personnel excellent except at check-out when we requested an additional 1 hr for checkout from the woman at front desk who was a bit surly - she denied us late checkout UNLESS we paid extra money (which of course we did not). She explained, saying that late checkouts were “sold out.” So if you want late checkout, request at check-in or ASAP so you won't have to pay the vig. I am NOT deducting a star because of the woman's bad attitude - although I am tempted. But do specify far in advance if you want late check-out.

Stayed here on way down to San Diego. So glad we stopped here!! Room very nice and spacious. Breakfast is great. Town is wonderful. So California, with a fun downtown with a market day (first time we ever had Ecuadorian and Filipino food). The Oceanside Pier is worth the time. Views are memorable (go at sunset). Enjoy!!

I had big expectations for this hotel as it was one of the most expensive on our road trip..... I wanted the last three days to be relaxing and enjoyable. We arrived early and luckily there was a room available for us to check in, none of the rooms had very nice views. The room was fine and it had a fridge and microwave. The breakfast room the first morning was very busy and there were no tables available (the breakfast staff worked non stop refreshing the food and cleaning tables etc - so a big thank you to them). The pool was small as was the hot tub. The hotel was not in a bad location and was about a 10 minute walk to both the pier and the harbour. There was a fire pit at the front of the hotel which was nice to sit by and enjoy the evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel but would say it was a little pricey.

The staffs were very kind and pleasant; they listened well and helped the issues for customers including me. The room was so clean and well equipped. Since I had great time here on my last business trip, I booked again and am staying now. :)

Close to Camp Pendleton and In and Out is across the street! Rooms are super clean and well appointed! The breakfast is pretty decent and the staff is superb! Parking is kinda tight! It's a bit more pricey then the Best Western south of there but you get what you pay for!
