Best Western Plus Hotel Novato Oaks Inn, Novato

I have recently become a traveler driving across the country. I have become fond of Best Western as a home away from home. I enjoyed my rest and relaxation in Novato Oaks Inn. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The fresh baked cookies in the evening were a delightful surprise. The room was clean as I would expect nothing less. Check them out!

I knew I found a great hotel when I checked in. The front desk person was over the top and very friendly. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome! When I mentioned going to see the Golden Gate Bridge, she gave me directions on how to find the best views and best route to see the bridge!

Perfect spot to staff for a local family visit. The room was large and my private patio was a great spot to enjoy my in-room coffee. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area for dining, etc ideas.

We stayed here for 1 night after visiting Muir Woods. Location is conveniently off highway 101 and property is well maintained and safe. We enjoyed the nice pool & hot tub, and the ping pong table was a fun bonus! The room is spacious and very nicely decorated, exactly as shown on their website. The Perry's Novato restaurant just next door from the hotel served very good American cuisine, is super convenient and price was reasonable. The hotel served a complimentary breakfast with hot items like eggs, sausage and bacon, and they also had a no-touch pancake maker which was very entertaining to watch. There were many choices in cereal, yogurt, fruit, breads and pastries as well. We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel and would definitely stay here again in future.

As a former California Motel owner, i appreciate a well maintained and run establishment. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly, helpful and professional. Room was clean, good amenities, and breakfast was good. Great location for our purpose to be in Novato. The internet was weak in our unit. I saw no need to report it due to our one night stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice and quiet hotel with a nice chain restaurant next door, plenty of free parking, other restaurant's and shops nearby if you wanted anything, easy access to both the wine regions and San Fransisco.

Stayed here for 3/days and the staff weee super friendly and were smiling and just a positive vibe. The rooms were nice, super clean and large. AC worked great! The shower was super cool and large. The breakfast choices are just right and everything was so clean. Had the view of the freeway yet, didn't even hear when sliding door was closed. Definitely will stay in the future and will advice friends and family to definitely stay here.

Not walkable or close to downtown Novato, but otherwise convenient to highways 101 and 37 and points north and south. Nice private pool area in back. Reasonable free hot and cold breakfast items. The hotel was quite busy and we could hear voices from neighboring rooms.

Highly recommend Novato Oaks Inn. Great location for wine country, Marin, and San Francisco. Professional, friendly staff. Nice restaurant and bar located on property plus a big pool. Plenty of on site private parking.

The folks at this Best Western Plus are always on point. I've stayed there many times when I've had to leave the city. Clean, comfortable and responsive staff. Very good value for the money and highly recommend for a good nights sleep.

Very clean, friendly and accommodating hotel. The pool and hot tub were quite nice with lots of different seating for conversation or sunning. Breakfast was better than average for a free breakfast. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. Great location right off 101. Definitely recommend if you need a place to stay in Marin. There's even a nice restaurant in the same parking lot.

We stayed at this hotel in our way to the beach from Yosemite-National-Park during our California vacation. Everything was great. Clean room, nice pool and hot tub. They pool and hot tub closed at 9pm which was disappointing. We didn't have time to use them. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Friendly service, clean room and clean hotel. Very nice continental breakfast, beautiful pool with hot tub. Rooms were spacious, and beds were comfortable. Close enough to freeway to reach your desired destinations. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I were driving north to Oregon from Washington State. We needed a room day of and while searching online we found this Hotel. Judy at the Front Desk was so nice an greeted us with bottles of water and hot chocolate chip cookies as a welcome. The rooms are nicely appointed and looked new exactly as pictured. The rooms are big and beds are very comfortable. Walter the bellman was so wonderful. He was kind to let us park closer to the front door as we had alot of items in our car and were warned not to leave anything in your car sadly in Novato. We felt safe in the hotel. Judy also recommended a wonderful restaurant called Crave down the street. Walter was kind enough to shuttle us down and picked us up. In the morning the breakfast was included, ample and starbucks Verona Coffee, yeah! If you need a hotel, safe and good sleep, it's a great and friendly hotel to stay in.

Convenient to everything! Relaxing, quiet, and the hospitality is 5 stars. The staff are amazing, and the complimentary breakfasts are delicious. Clean rooms, lovely pool secluded, a very nice place to relax. I have been coming here for years. I live in the bay area, and this is my little get away spot, or I gift it to my family when they visit

These people went above and beyond for me. The hotel was clean and I was able to get a good nights rest. I was going to be leaving too early for breakfast and the lady at the front desk offered to have a breakfast bag ready for me in the morning. I definitely appreciated that.

We stayed one night to attend an event in Sonoma. Easy access to the freeway and close to stores. Staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable and I appreciated breakfast in the morning. The only downside was the only elevator was in the lobby which made it hard to take multiple items to my room on the second floor in one of the attached buildings.

This Best Western Location has been our home away from home for over 15 years. We've tried other hotels in the areas but this one is simply the best. It is priced well, the staff is very welcoming, location is ideal and there's no other place we'd rather today.

Great location and friendly staff. Very helpful on the phone, clean location, and good breakfast. The beds are also super comfortable. Pool and Jacuzzi were open late and worked out well for our schedule too.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The staff is extraordinary, the breakfast was terrific and the clean, comfortable rooms/beds were very much appreciated. The rooms also are extremely quiet. No sounds coming from the hallways or the roads/freeway as the hotel is kind of tucked into a hillside. Saw a small herd of deer waking just below our unit. I would book a 2nd stay here in a second.

My husband, myself and our guests stayed at this Best Western for my wedding. Our guests could not tell us enough times how impressed they were with this location. It was incredibly clean, modern and comfortable. All the staff we came in contact with over the two days were always incredibly friendly, cheerful and helpful. We especially loved the large "honeymoon suite". It was easy to check in and we felt incredibly safe at this location. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is the BEST Best Western I have ever stayed at and we will recommend it to our friends in the future!

We had a perfect 10 experience with the first visit (one night). We came back this time for three nights, however, the experience only earned a perfect 8. Our room # 4205 was on second floor, not too far from the elevator and the breakfast area & swimming pool. A perfect location. We were pleased with the cleanliness even though the elevator already showed sign of wear & tear & not very clean as other areas of the hotel. Sabra at the front desk (day time) was super nice and friendly. She always greeted me with a sweet smiling face. Breakfast buffet style was back. There were good varieties for everyone even thought the items were pretty much the same everyday. Two stars were taken away due to the followings. One night around 9:40pm, there was no hot water when I planned to take a bath. I talked to a lady at Front desk to report the issue. She rudely told me the problem was fixed and hot water would be back in another 40 minutes. She sounded angry as if I was the cause of the hot water issue. No apologies for the inconvenience. I stayed in the ADA room with bath tub. It was nicely equipped with plenty of grab bars and adjustable shower hose. However the room needed a chair to sit after taking the bath and put on clothing. I had to sit on the toilet seat which was very uncomfortable.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. Well, I am sorry that your second visit was not quite as great as the first. I apologize about the hot water issue and the unsettling response. I hope you can forgive us for not offering an apology in the moment. I think the agent on duty may have been really busy , not to excuse, but probably the reason for a seemingly lack of empathetic response. I do apologize. I hope this will not cloud our image for any future visits.

Ok so this place is a diamond gem, NICEST Best Westerns I have ever ever stayed and the front desk person Kathy is getting 10 thousand praises from us for her incredible service and hospitality. We had come in from Monterey and weren't sure where to stay. We booked another best western in the area only to find out it was actually a homeless shelter. We had a horrible dinner experience that took 2 hours due to crappy service and then barely missed a fatal car accident with a motorcycle. This place came up on the search with good reviews so we thought what the heck it's somewhere to stay From the moment of check on this place is NICE inside. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and well decorated but the MOST important part was the service was out of this world. Kathy listened to our tales and checked us in, brought us cupcakes and cookies, told us to leave the luggage rack in the hall because she wanted us to rest and provided us a late check out of 130 because of how exhausted we were. This was by far the top 2 stays on our trip alongside our hotel in Napa. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay and your hospitality to us.

My husband and I recently stayed here on a trip to Point Reyes National Seashore. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and we had a great balcony. Front desk staff was friendly and informative. Breakfast staff did an awesome job every morning of our stay. Food was good. Location was very convenient just off the 101. Supermarket and restaurants were up just one exit. Would definitely stay again and recommend to fellow travelers. P.S. had previously booked a hotel in Petaluma but upon review, your hotel had much better reviews.

Staff listened and took care of our needs - late check in plus extra shampoo and coffee for this horse riding crew - with generosity. Highly recommend a stay here for the spotless rooms, luxurious bedding, top notch amenities, handy location and absolutely wonderful staff!

over all the facility and staff were extremely awesome . if you stay over the weekend, you might want to go to breakfast a little later than first thing. The cook was overwhelmed and could not keep up with the demand which caused everything to out or cold.

We've been going to San Fran for appointments for the past few years, not to fond of the city life with traffic so I wanted to get a hotel further away from the city. We found this hotel about 30 to 40 min away from San Fran, the drive is beautiful. You pass The Golden Gate Bridge and there's mountains and a beautiful scenery. We got lucky finding this hotel I will always stay here when coming to San Fran.

Checking in is always a bit stressful for me because my standards are high and often there is something that doesn't meet them in either cleanliness or room placement per requests. I can not say enough complimentary comments about her - she was simply the best in every aspect. I was quoted one price over the phone and charged another once I arrived which is a typical sales tactic that employees are trained to use. Found strands of black hair on my bed. Housekeeping barged in despite me calling out, indicating that the room was occupied. Not a good stay by any means.

I am so sorry to see that you had an upsetting stay. This is something we never want to hear. I looked into your rate dispute and noticed the regular rate was higher, as you say, and we did discount you, but all room charges are always privy to TAX. So, the discounted rate plus tax came to the original amount quoted. I am sorry that you were not aware that tax would be charged. I am also disappointed to hear that housekeeping entered your room the next day to clean. I hope you will not mind me offering a helpful hotel tip and that is it is always a best practice in any hotel, any brand, anywhere, to always put your "privacy please" sign on the door if you wish not be disturbed in the morning and turn the dead bolt lock on the door, which prevents housekeeping from being able to enter the room. Your satisfaction is important to us and I am sad that we failed to meet your expectations.

The team at Novato oaks best western plus are the very best! They are always so welcoming and pleasant to their guests. They make me feel comfortable and as though it's my home away from home. The front desk staff know their job well and they are great customer service.

We only stay for one night. Service was nice, receptionist was very friendly, room was neat and clean. This is the second time I stayed at this location, the area is not too bad, both times I enjoyed my stay here.

I think this was a great hotel with a decent price. The room had a little bit of an odor but that seems normal for hotels. It was clean in the lobby area, the room itself, and the kitchen area where they do the continental breakfast. They have staff on hand at all times and were very polite. We booked this room last minute and I was very happy with it.

I feel this hotel is a hidden gem. We've never heard of it, but the online reviews were pretty good, so we took a chance because it was in a good location for our trip. We are so glad we did. The woman who checked us in was truly exceptional. Her friendliness and helpfulness was off the charts and set the tone for our entire vacation. The hotel has a nice “forest-side inn” type of exterior, but the lobby is clean and quite modern. The hotel room was great - spacious and clean, and came with a helpful mini-fridge. There was a small balcony with chairs that we didn't use, but it was nice to have. The pool looked nice as well, although it was too cold to swim. The breakfast was quite good, with a pretty good assortment of cereals, pastries, juice, breakfast meats, and a waffle maker. We would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean, but too old to rate the $250 a night room rate charged. There was no service for the room because it was the weekend. We were given three bath towels. There was a veranda overlooking the freeway, the veranda furniture was office waiting room type furniture, two chairs attached to a small table in between.

Dear Rocky Finder. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I am sad that you found our hotel so unappealing. I must say your comments have hurt my feelings a bit as we recently remodeled last year and have only received nice reviews since. Ironically, we also received a brand award for best remodel too. As design is subjective, it is clear our aesthetics did not work for you. Sorry we failed to meet your expectations.

We travel for work and really appreciated how quiet this hotel is. Still close enough to the Bay Area without the high prices and crowds! Excellent hot breakfast, coffee, and sweet breads. Great value!

This was a smoking room but it obviously never been aired out after the prior guest. The odor was so severe that we felt like we couldn't breathe safely and we were forced to leave without compensation. Management was not willing to compensate us at a later date either.

Unfortunately, badly behaved people do break the No Smoking rules and I am sad it ruined your stay. I am bothered that you did not ask to be moved though? We would have been happy to relocate you to a new room that would have made your stay much more enjoyable. On behalf of my team, I am sorry we did not exceed your expectations.

Decided to stay here after a long work day in Marin County. I had never stayed at a Best Western Plus and was pleasantly surprised. The entire building had just been remodeled and was so nice. The staff was pleasant and accommodating- so friendly. Rooms were nicely appointed, pool and jacuzzi were well received after a long work day. Very nice patio outside where you could swim, soak, have dinner or a meal brought in. They had delivery service options and a full breakfast in the morning. I can't say enough about the experience and will definitely return. next time.

We stayed one night after a day at the beach. We will be back again for sure! Hotel was lovely- clean, comfy, friendly, and welcoming. Our three kids enjoyed the visit the most! Nice pool and spa and ping pong table. We enjoyed sitting near the pool that evening and having some delicious pizza that delivers for free to the hotel (Red Boy Pizza). Front desk gave us a list of local restaurants upon arrival, and provided plates/utensils too. There is free internet, awesome AC, and updated/clean rooms. Beds were comfy. Breakfast had lots of options- fresh waffles, sausage, eggs, toast, bagels, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, donuts, and juice/milk/coffee. Everyone found something they enjoyed. With noon check out times, the kids swam again beforehand.

Excellent location. Room very clean. Non smoking facilities. Well decorated. Great staff and decent breakfast. Bed too high for a handicapped room.excellent grab bars in bathroom. Good freeway access.

This hotel is nice, but frankly, the management was more concerned about a "good customer" that kept exposing himself out a large window over the pool, than calling the police and reporting a crime. I was asked not to call the police and that they would handle the issue, but staff did nothing after I reported the man the first day and he was back at the window, naked - full frontal - the next day. Very disturbing.

Dear Zinnea, I am so sorry that you had this experience while being our guest. I absolutely agree with you that this situation was unacceptable. As we discussed, I was very concerned that this customer was unaware he could be seen from his guest room that over looked the pool and I felt pretty confident that this was not an intentional act. I did talk with him immediately after we spoke on the pool deck and he was terribly embarrassed as he was not aware that people looking up into the privacy of his bedroom windows from the pool could see in. In fact, he assumed this was not possible. In light of this situation, we are going to have those windows mirrored so something like this can never happen again. Please note, if this had been happening while he was outdoors (not his guest room) I too would have also called the police. I feel it is important to make that distinction. Again, I am sorry you had to endure this experience.

Good enough for a stop by for less than other nearby hotels but not high end finishes. Conveniently offers a coffee, a small empty frig. and microwave. The rooms are kinda dark but clean. We left early but breakfast was available such as hot coffee, fruit cold cereal oatmeal etc.Theres a pool and a gym and the staff are very friendly!

This is a "perfect 10" hotel. I was impressed with everything, from the appearance of the lobby to the room 4304 that we stayed for 3 nights. The room had a good view of the mountain/hill side. However, it is a bit too close to the swimming pool. I can hear people chatting in the early morning at 7:30am or very late at night at 11pm. Choosing room 4306 is a better choice since you will have both the view and the quietness. It won't be too far from the elevator either. The lady who checked me in on 5/15 was super friendly. I did not get a chance to know her name. She was only there on that day and I had not seen her again during my 3 night stay. Kim in housekeeping provided excellent service. I requested extra towels and a box of tissue. Within 10 minutes, they were delivered. The trash that I put in front of the room during our stay was picked up promptly. I am very happy with these employees. The only suggestion I had was related to the modified breakfast which could have been better. For example: adding items that can be individually wrapped and warm up (i.e. croissants, muffins, yogurt, fruit cup...). I have seen other hotels putting the toaster along with the microwave for guests to use. I will come back for sure next time I am in the area. We love this hotel so much. No wonder it was ranked #1 in Trip Advisor. Very well deserved...

Comfortable room just be sure to request hillside and main building. Bring your own food items until COVID restrictions are lifted unless you like highly processed packaged food for breakfast. Lots of restaurants & grocery stores nearby

The hotel was really nice and and clean we had jointing rooms with my son and wife and it was fun we hit the pool and hot tub around 9pm with no problems. People there where nice and friendly. Would definitely go back

Have stayed at this hotel many times and have had good experiences. But today, I checked in and while taking a nap, received a phone call (which awakened me) requesting me to move my car (which was parked perfectly legally) because they had a guest who had a corvette who needed the particular space (which was up in front of the hotel.) I had been so happy to find that space close because I have a huge load to carry out to my car in the early morning. I thought it was terribly rude. Annoyed, I moved the car - probably shouldn't have. Never heard from the manager they said would call to discuss.

Stayed here for work. Days during thw week, and worked Saturday evening thru late Sunday morning. Room was comfortable, and more importantly quiet. Nice bed, clean bathroom/shower. Comfortable room. Will return next time I'm in the area.

I have stayed in this hotel for about 20 nights over the last 6 months. It is very consistently one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, for cleanliness, friendliness, and the layout of the rooms.

Judy at the front desk was super nice. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful. During covid, they allow sign ups for the hot tub for 30 minute slots at a time so you get to be alone with your party. They were very covid safe and inviting and the room was beautiful. Mini fridge, microwave, and all. Thanks best western!

I was traveling for a medical appointment and needed a quick stay closer to the hospital. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel important and appreciated. Staff remembered small details about me and my reasons for travel and activated automatic doors when entering or exiting - either as general kindness or to minimize contact due to covid; regardless of the why, it was appreciated. Hotel was clean and beautiful and I felt safe traveling away from home in the middle of a pandemic.

I'm giving this hotel 5 stars based on my recent stay and because I have nothing negative to say about the hotel or my experience there in general. I stayed here 6 nights to recover after having surgery at a nearby medical center. This hotel was was referred to me by the Doctor's office. The hotel staff were very accommodating. Not that I asked for much, but they did provide a lot of extra pillows and a wedge pillow to make my recovery more comfortable. The staff was also very friendly. My room was large, very clean and very comfortable. It had a very large screen TV, many channels, and my view was facing some hills so it was very quiet. In fact, my entire stay was quiet in general. I dont think the hotel was very busy while I was there but I still enjoyed the peace and quiet. Breakfast options were limited due to Covid but still enough to satisfy and coffee was quite good. I'd stay here again if I need to in the future and refer others especially if you are recovering from procedures done at nearby Novato medical centers and do not live in the area. The hotel normally has a shuttle that can drop you off at the medical center but is was not operating due to Covid however, catching an Uber was pretty easy from here so not a huge issue. This was by far the best stay at a BW I have ever experienced, and I am very picky on where I stay. The young lady Miss Nadia made it seem effortless to check in and check out, always asked how my stay was going and if I needed anything. I've stayed at a ton of Best Westerns (rewards member) and this is the BEST. The hotel is modern and the staff are all very nice and professional. Our room was clean and all the amenities worked perfectly. We stayed during the pandemic and there were wipes and hand sanitizer readily available throughout the hotel. Very clean place.

This is a very well managed hotel. All the staff we met were gracious, even under stress. They remained personable and helpful always. We were evacuated during a fire in Sonoma County, during the Covid-19 pandemic. A stressful time for everyone. They exceeded my expectations. We got the last room of the night, which they were able to reserve for us over the phone. When we got there, the phone was ringing off the hook - and even though they had no more rooms, I could tell they were listening to the customer's question, apologizing for being full, and recommending another close-by BW hotel. They helped us extend our stay, and even offered us late checkout. Because we were evacuating they allowed our pets, even though it is not normal policy. The room itself was good, recently upgraded, and clean. If you want to get to restaurants, shopping, and so on, you will need a car, Uber, or delivery There is plenty around the hotel - Target, Costco, coffee shops, and restaurants, but it is all at least a mile away. I went into this with a fairly low opinion of Best Western, but this experience has elevated them in my mind, and I would definitely consider another BW hotel elsewhere.

We were planning to be in the area for three nights. We had booked another property for our visit and had such a terrible experience that we checked out after the first night. We scrambled to find a hotel last minute that wouldn't break the bank. We were thrilled to find the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks. I called and Kim at the front desk was wonderful. She booked us into a beautiful room with a deck and we were able to check in a little early. The front desk team is attentive, friendly and helpful and took care of every request we had promptly and with a smile. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The sink is located outside the bathroom - always a plus. The pool area is lovely with chaise lounges as well as tables, chairs and umbrellas. During COVID, pool visits are by reservation. There is an adjoining patio with a fire pit and a ping pong table. The breakfast is typical “COVID” style - packaged cereal, pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fruit, juice. The public spaces are tastefully decorated. We enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. I highly recommend the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks.

This hotel has been remodeled since we stayed there around 4 years ago. It is nicely decorated and attractive. I felt everything was clean and there was a good effort to reduce exposure to staff. Our room was comfortable. It was quiet. After a 15 hour drive, it was a pleasant respite. We had a 26 ft rental truck and found parking for it in the outer parking lot. We were able to check out via text. In normal times, this is a lovely hotel stay. In coronavirus times, it is a safe option and comfortable, convenient hotel

I cannot say enough about this wonderful hotel. My husband and I spent six nights here b/c of an evacuation warning in West Marin. Our room was comfortable, the breakfast was adequate (considering COVID restrictions). The coffee in the breakfast area was some of the best hotel coffee we've had. The staff were all excellent, caring, and professional. My husband has health issues and he was treated with kindness when we arrived and when we left. We were able to have food delivered by several local restaurants and the Safeway is across the freeway. Sorry to see the Wild Fox restaurant closed; I loved it when I was here last year. Thank you, Novato Oaks' staff, for making our stay relaxing and enjoyable during this stressful time.

This is one of the better best western hotels , The Wild Fox Resturaunt next door is good to have . The upgraded room surprised me how big and nice it was. I wish hotels had better pillows , one of the main differences in better hotels

Old hotel modernised. Comfortable. Can be long walk from car park. Only one elevator that is old and slow and needs a 100% modernization. Breakfast was good with ability to sit outside near pool. Location was good as stop heading south into SFO

I've stayed at this hotel many times and have always been impressed with the staff and the facility. I sometimes have to leave at 5:00am and without fail they invite me to take of whatever breakfast has been set out early. Other hotels refuse to serve anything before the appointed hour. The pool and hot tub were out of service due to remodeling work but otherwise the stay was excellent.

Our staff looks forward to staying at the Best Western Novato Oaks. Small details like the cleanliness, the professionalism of the staff, the donuts at breakfast, and the wonderful food at the Wildfox Restaurant always make staying here a pleasure.

This was a stay away from the San Francisco bay area as the prices there are too expensive. It is within a short drive to places like the Muir woods and beautiful Stinson beach. We were traveling to the city to see Hamilton.

Thin walls made for a noisy night. Clean room. Nice bed with clean linen. Bath tub has a drop down bench at far end that does not allow a person to lean back against the tub to relax. Hallway carpet dirty and needs replacement. I have stayed at other regular Best Westerns (not Best Western Plus) that were nicer and more quiet during the evening hours.

Meeting at the Country Club and stayed at the Novato Oaks Inn. In all ways a very good experience. Hotel room, very clean, warm and good mattresses. Dinner at the Restrauant was great; service and food. The next morning the vbreakfast, hotel help there if needed. Waffles fresh and warm. We were glad that we were booked at this hotel. Room

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years and the experience has always been very nice. I intend on returning whenever I am staying in the area! The restaurant next door is pretty good too.

As always, the BW Novato Oaks Inn exceeded all expectations. The wonderful staff, comfortable and well appointed rooms, combined with the great location, make staying here a great experience. All you need to do is ask and any unmet need is rapidly taken care of. Honestly, I would not stay anywhere else in the area.

My husband and I have been guests of the Novato Inn regularly over the last five years, having family in the area. We return knowing the rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and the staff friendly and helpful. On our most recent visit over Christmas my husband broke his leg (off premise) requiring hospitalization. As a ‘senior' couple, both of us knew I would be comfortable and feel safe on my own at the Inn. After release from the hospital we returned to an ADA room for four nights, so my husband could relax and recuperate as we prepared for a 500 mile ride home. The facility is comfortable and modern, but the staff is wonderful! I will forever be thankful for their smiles, encouragement, and help. Everything we requested, including ‘privacy please' was granted. Nadia, Guest Services Supervisor, was outstanding in every way. Michelle, Manager, jumped to our assistance when our truck battery needed replacement just as we were ready to get on the road. Within 45 minutes we had a new battery and were on our way. Five Stars all around. Thank you to all the staff. You have our gratitude forever.

Good location. good price. Very nice remod of property. Great staff. Certainly recommend this property. Best Western Novato Oak certainly is customer friendly. Restaurant on site is good with "new-wave" Marin menu, and cocktail area is comfy.

I travel for medical appointments usually to the Santa Rosa area. This appointment was in the bay area, an area that we are not familiar with. A friend suggested staying in Navato instead of SF. I made the reservation over the phone. They were very helpful and kind. When we got to the hotel we were quite impressed with the look of it with the price quoted. Once inside we were not disappointed. It was very clean and nicely decorated. I like that they had a reading area that was stocked with books. Everyone of the staff that we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and clean. We will definitely stay here again when traveling

Nearly 99.9% of the time we stay at Best Westerns (BW) from NV to CA. The Novato Oaks Inn sets the standard all BW & other hotels ought to consider following. From the ease of check-in/out; to help getting to/from our room; room service; quality of the room/hotel/bathroom; yummy breakfast...All help us feel at home, safe, & cared for. My husband & I have trouble with mobility & have found all staff very attentive. We recommend this hotel highly! We typically stay on the 3rd floor & my husband fell in our room. Within moments the lobby called to make sure we were alright. They even sent staff to our room to make sure. We still are touched by the concern, regard...even dignity conveyed. We love this room on the 3rd floor because it's easily reached from the lobby elevator to the 3rd floor. Step off the elevator & there's our favorite room! Breakfast is also just one floor below. Handicap parking right by the lobby gives this BW the highest score possible!

The fire log was a great touch. heater would only stay on for a few seconds. We asked a gentleman who brought us more blankets we requested, he fiddled with it, and it turned off again after he left. I called him back, he just shrugged and said "you have a log, right?" A bit disappointing, maybe they could have offered us a different room with a more functional heater in December.

Amazing staff that truly made us feel like they were just genuinely giving the best customer service, and didn't come off like they are being forced to be "nice". The entire hotel was very clean. The room was very clean and well decorated and very specious. I will definitely be staying here again on my over night trips to San Francisco.

I always enjoy staying at this hotel. Friendly staff, great location, good value. Rooms are very present in the way they are decorated. They have one of the better fitness centers when comparing them to other hotels.

This hotel is decorated well and clean. They furnishings are tasteful and appear newly updated. Easy access off the highway. The breakfast area is relatively small with Best Western the basics with waffle makers, breads, whole fruit, eggs, cereals, coffee, etc. Enough to start your day and a great location if you plan to go to Muir Woods. I would have preferred a better setup - everything was a bit hard to get to with everything against the wall. Our room had a great layout (family suite) but unfortunately someone had been smoking either on the balcony or in the room at one point and the odor left me with a headache. Also, people walking above us caused the ceiling to squeak and woke us up. Laundry service was right across the hall and very noisy early AM. A lot of highway noise until around 11:00 PM. Our room was on the ground floor, highway side. Staff was nice and handled our complaints professionally.

BW in Novato is great.The place is newly remodeled. The location is close to everything. The perks are great. probably the best thing about Best Western plus in Novato is the amazing staff. They are professional and friendly and knowledgable making the overall stay incredible!

The Novato Inn was recommended to a large wedding group, most of whom were not from Marin County. The individual who made the recommendation is from the area and knows the Inn. There were only positive comments. It is near San Francisco, and also close to Sonoma and the wineries. Only disadvantage is commutation to San Francisco, especially the airport.

Out of nowhere this castle of a hotel is just there. Very nice lobby and staff making checking in fast and joyful. Rooms are clean and nice. We got rooms towards the beautiful back hill with deers running and eating outside window. Connected restaurant for dinner was cosy with a nice variety of food alternative. Do not forget the discount ticket from the checking in! Pool and jaccuzzi outside breakfast restaurant. Breakfast was fine with standrard alternatives.

We have stayed at this Best Western many times. The location, cleanliness, comfort, amenities and the environment make this one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. The mattress, pillows and bedding provide such a recuperative nights sleep - they are simply wonderful. Breakfast is plentiful and you can take that outside an eat it on the patio smelling the clean California air. The breakfast is varied, hot meals, cereal, oatmeal and many pastries, with good fresh coffee. This is a delightful place to stay!

After trying two other San Rafael-area motels during work overnights, I found nirvana at the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn. I will not stay in any other hotel from now on! I was greeted on arrival by two friendly and knowledgeable desk clerks who suggested happy hour at the on-site Wildfox Restaurant. Great call. Following dinner, my room was a haven: well appointed, clean, quiet and totally comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was a very pleasant surprise -- eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, pastries, breads, yogurt, and more, plus very good Starbucks coffee, hot tea and juices. I have found my new business home away from home!

Staff and facilities fit together well; it was comfortable, sensible, and well-run. Though it would have help to put a sign on the door out to the outside pool: "Requires keycard to re-enter" :-) Definitely a plus in summer, that it's on the east slope of a ridge.

Maybe because it was my first time ever staying at a hotel, but I personally had a wonderful experience. I did not take advantage of the amenities offered because me and my partner had other plans but I'm sure they would have been great. The only thing I would have to say negatively was how warm it was in the hallway going to our room— I was expecting it to be cool and air conditioned throughout the whole hotel but it wasn't and I don't think that is a major flaw anyways because the actual hotel room had air conditioning which was GREAT. Other than that, we had a fabulous experience and would come again in the future!

I've stayed at many BW+ hotels. This is the gold standard. I wish all the locations I've stayed at were as pleasant as the times I've stayed in Novato. I joined the Rewards Program because of how consistently good my experience is at Novato Oaks Inn!

Hotel was nicer than I expected. Restaurant had good food but I doubt I would have eaten in a reasonable time had I not skipped lunch n showed up just after opening. Maybe reservations? Spa was taken over by younger adolescent males. And the deck packed with seminar attendees.

Proximity to freeway was very convenient. Despite being less than a block from the freeway, our room was quiet and cozy. The outside balcony was shaded and lovely. Everything was very clean and comfortable. All amenities were amazing.

What a lovely place to stay in the Oakland area! Comfy beds and pillows gave us a good night's sleep and the excellent breakfast selections fueled us for our morning excursions and family event. Staff was very friendly and helpful, made some great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Clean accomodations and lovely grounds with a great pool area, fire pit for cool evenings, and little private spaces tucked here and there for use. Great place to relax and enjoy between family events!

Extremely well-located and close to SF, Bay area, Napa and Sonoma, Novato etc. The hotel has been remarkably renovated. There is good restaurant next to the hotel (Wild Fox) which serves good food and drinks.

We stayed here for a wedding near by and it was located with easy access to wine country as well as San Francisco! Lots of shopping nearby if needed...we had a balcony in our room to enjoy the cool morning/evening air. Many options for breakfast to start your day. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for one night and were only at the property for about 12 hours. It looks really nice from the outside, and the lobby looks updated and modern. Great first impression. Hallways, breakfast area, and pool area were all very clean, but don't match the updated feel downstairs at the entrance. Room decor is updated and rooms are very spacious. Love rooms that have the sink area separate from the shower/toilet so our family of 4 can have different people getting ready for bed/the day at the same time. Loved having the balcony to sit on in the morning. Kids really enjoyed the breakfast burritos in the morning, and we always appreciate a hotel breakfast that has some fresh cut fruit (oranges). The man working in the breakfast area was very polite and friendly. The price was a bit higher than the other hotels we stayed at on our road trip, but we would definitely return if we needed something in the area.

This hotel is convenient and comfortable when accessing some of Marin's towns and attractions. It has a very friendly staff. It is very clean and has updated decor. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast has a variety of choices. There is some freeway noise during heavier commute times. A fan or white noise machine would help with that, if you've got one to bring.

Service from staff was excellent in every area. . They went the extra mile on everything I needed. Room was clean, nice in appearance, and very functional. The property is older but obviously remodeled and upgraded recently.

I have stayed here many times. The price is higher than most BW's but the value is still good given the great location, excellent breakfast, great pool and hot tub, Kuerig coffee maker in the room and Starbucks coffee in the lobby.

We booked our reservation 6 months in advance and stayed for 5 nights. We thought this would get us a good room. Wrong. Our room was less than 20 feet from a parking space frequently occupied by idling pick-up trucks and the door to the room was across from the laundry. Have read other reviews that talk about views of hills, etc. We had a view of a parking lot with background noise from route 101. Staff was friendly and the place is spotless though.

We spent a weekend here and really enjoyed the recently updated hotel rooms, heated pool, friendly staff and generous breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, muffins, bagels, yogurt, raisin bread, croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt bar with lots and lots of toppings, tea, dark chocolate hot chocolate and Starbucks coffee available 24/7. I appreciated the ample parking and the central location that made it easy to hop on the 101 to drive around Novato.

I got married near by and stayed at the BW. The staff worked with me as I booked rooms for family and friends despite several changes and the raceway event that was occurring that same weekend. The staff continued to accommodate our every need while we stayed there, were personable and continually checked to see if I (the bride) had everything I needed. They were awesome! I also loved the fresh waffles in the morning served for breakfast. Yum!

This hotel has a ton of great amenities at a very reasonable price. It is easily accessible from the highway and is just a short trip to SF and the wine country. I was pleasantly surprised by the pool. Ii is a huge pool situated right next to the neighboring tree lined hill which was a BEAUTIFUL backdrop and made for some excellent wildlife viewing. We saw a few deer with their fawns and a ton of majestic birds souring overhead. We went to the pool in the late afternoon when it was very mild outside and the pool was completely shaded by the trees yet the pool temperature was PERFECT. I was worried that it would be to cold, but it was cool enough to be refreshing but warm enough that you could have spent the whole evening in there without becoming uncomfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the complementary breakfast was well organized with some excellent selections. Will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Marin county!

I was part of a wedding group for a friend's & family wedding. The location to wedding venue was nice and short. My girlfriends and I were all visiting from different states and it was my 40th bday weekend over Memorial Day. Pleasantly surprised by the front desk staff whom were wonderful in every sense of the word!! Upon checking in, Judy at the front was so happy and helpful in looking up directions to places and (printing them out too!). Wow I wish every hotel had this woman's smiling, helpful face. We were given Wildfox restaurant coupons for 10% off and we went and used them. Great restaurant with laid back atmosphere (try the caramelized Brussel sprouts❤️) At the exit of our stay, Judy even gave us little chocolates and a bottle of wine from Wildfox!!!

Beautiful setting and Hotel a must stay if your in the area Restaurant is very nice, food and service were exceptional and service wonderful. Rooms very nice decor. and balcony was very nice to sit out and enjoy the landscape and views..

This is the finest hotel with the most caring professional and personable staff. Clean rooms even through a renovation of the lobby the staff smiled and made our days better. My wife was there for over 4 weeks and me for half of that while we awaited the birth of our granddaughter. They assisted with extending our stay and provided great guidance. The on-site hotel Wildfox was great and the included continental breakfast was tasty, great coffee, pastries, waffles, eggs etc. the rooms are large, and modern. We even had a view of the birth and reading of a fawn from our window.

I stayed here as part of a wedding block for a friend's wedding/ Location to venue was nice and short. Hotel and rooms had an outdated feel to them. Complementary breakfast was a bonus i was not expecting featuring your standard items. Check in & Check out was a breeze. however price for the rooms was way more that it should have been for that hotel

I must say that I am surprised that you feel the rooms were outdated as we just finished a full remodel on most all of our guestrooms, aside from a select few. In regards to pricing, we do keep our rates in line with the hotels in the surrounding area. We hope you had a great time at the wedding and wish you happy travels!

The very friendly and helful staff are great at this best western plus. The big sized rooms are clean and have a fridge and microwave. The buffet style breakfast is included but no thrills to be expected.

I loved this hotel! We had a great experience staying here. We were here for 3 nights and we had no complaints. It is in a beautiful location with rolling hills surrounding it. We were checked in quickly, and the people at the front desk were very nice. The room was clean, and the beds were so comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. They have DirecTV with HBO and the wifi gave us no problems whatsoever. The breakfast was delicious and we were thrilled they had hot foods. They had eggs, sausage, make your own waffles and even microwaveable breakfast burritos. My kids had cereal, oatmeal and even donuts. They have a really good selection. They also have Starbucks Caffe Verona blend and it is so good! They even have it in the lobby at all times for overnight guests, as well as tea and hot chocolate. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and we'll definitely come back if we ever visit SF again.

When we first arrived I thought it had a nice presentation. The front desk lady on the first day was extremely helpful with brochures and tips on traveling to the city! The bed was really comfortable, nice selection on the continental breakfast, 10% off coupon on the conveniently located restaurant next door, easy parking, but we also started noticing alot of ants in our room. Ewww. There was no shampoo in the room. Got some at the front desk. We thought the tv was broke but the cable needed wiggled. The staff the rest of the stay was not so friendly. The commute to San fransico is a good 30 min and that's after peak times. Would I stay there again? Only of it was my only option.

I will have a discussion with my staff regarding the interaction you described and also with our maintenance department regarding the ant problem you described. It was two queen, didn't really get to spend much time but loved the breakfast, employee's where very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean which is definitely a positive. an example of how the staff was very helpful was when I asked what the closest grocery was to get some milk for my 1 yr old and they brought it by the time I got to the room. We are from D.C and they really helped us around for tourist places.

We have family in the area so we travel to Novato several times a year. We always stay at this location. The rooms are great size, clean and the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever seen. We have to travel to Novato for a Dr. appointment every couple of months. Our daughter-in-law stayed at Novato Oaks the month before and was very impressed ,and recommended it. We were careful to ask for a quiet room that wasn't near any ongoing construction. They are updating the rooms and the parking lot has quite a few storage containers containing cabinets etc.. We got a room that had been redone and it looks nicely updated. The front desk staff was very nice too. The breakfast was so-so. They had an egg dish that looked like a taco and it had a slice of American cheese melted in the middle of it. The cheese wasn't obvious and my husband took a bite and had to spit it out. I like cheese, but this wasn't tasty. Thankfully, it scraped off easily.

This is a very well kept and operated venue. Great amenities and staff. Perfect location for the North Bay area. The pool area looked very inviting and I would use it next time if the weather permitted. Dining area for breakfast was very comfortable and spacious.

I found this to be an exceptional hotel and a convenient location right off highway 101. The room was perfect and had a desk, lounge chair, microwave, fridge and even a keurig coffee maker. There was also a balcony with two chairs and a table. Perfect for a glass of wine. The staff was courteous and made you feel welcome. The breakfast had many selections including eggs and sausage. It was also open until 10:00 am. I would definitely book this hotel again when in the area.

We only stayed one night but were very impressed and would return. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable; there was a deck though not sure anyone would want to sit there overlooking the highway. There's an attractive pool and hot tub. We were told there was a complimentary continental breakfast but in fact there was a good choice which included sausages and eggs. Little touches like cookies in the lobby and a discount at a nearby restaurant all added to a very positive experience.If we'd stayed longer the noise from the highway and hallway might have become a bit of an issue but for one night, terrific value.

This hotel was perfect for us. Our room was spacious with very comfortable beds and two chairs and we also had a small balcony with two more chairs. Our bathroom was excellent with a roll in shower, and lots of towels. The staff on Reception were helpful and charming. Breakfast was very good. There is a very good restaurant on the premises too. All in all, it rated very highly for us.

Beautiful hotel lobby and really liked the design of our room. Very comfortable beds. Located right off the freeway which was convenient. If you're hungry, there is a hotel restaurant and Burger King directly across the street. Would definitely stay there again.

Haven't stayed at a BW for a long time. This property is old like all of them but clean and refreshed rooms. A good value. Front desk experience was very professional and pleasant. Attached restaurant offered room service.

The staff at the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn are focused on providing problem free stays and superior customer support. The rooms are well equipped and most have balconies. If you need anything extra, like an in-room microwave or a rollaway bed, the staff will always attempt to ensure your needs are met.

More like a 3 1/2 star. The hotel is in a good location in the Napa Sonoma area & is in the area's mid range of prices. The rooms are reasonably well put together, but don't expect great views from the rooms. Like other chains that offer breakfast, the food was OK. We were there for 5 days & the selection did not vary. Also, there wasn't much in the way of fruit, except for apples & bananas. The staff was helpful & it was easy to get around from there. There is a restuarant & bar on the property that was OK, but not great.

We stayed just one night, but our stay was very comfortable. The room was very spacious and super clean. We had a small balcony. Although we didn't use the pool, it was in a really nice setting at the back of the hotel with trees surrounding it. The breakfast room was very large and well-stocked. I found the staff to be super helpful at check-in, answering our questions about the area. The Inn is right off the highway, which made it super convenient for getting out and on the road to our hiking destination.

We've stayed at this location on 3 separate occasions in the last few months, and with 2 more trips north coming up, we plan on staying here again. The staff at the desk was helpful and courteous. Check-in was quick and easy, as was check-out. The rooms we've stayed in have been clean, well-kept and spacious. Breakfast is included and while it's not anything overly amazing, it's definitely nice and very much appreciated. They go to a lot of work to prepare the food and it never runs low. Location is easy to spot and easy to get to from the freeway. We will certainly be back!

I met a friend for cocktails and was pleasantly surprised at the great bar menu. Very good and so reasonable. Parking is very expensive at Nob Hill parking lots, so if you can use the nearby cable car you will save a lot.

We were down to visit San Francisco and Novato was perfect for the distance. Not too far away and not right in SF. We had four night at this hotel and settled in comfortably. We would head in mid morning after rush hour and it would take approx 30 mins to the city. Spent the day in the city so no rush hour to battle back either. The hotel had a great pool for the kids, the staff were friendly and informative and the breakfast great every morning. The restaurant next to the hotel had great food which came with a discount but I don't recommend the pizza joint they have in their hotel info book.

I suspect I have reviewed this hotel here before but here goes again. I have never been disappointed here by room, staff, or facility. The pillows are very nice, the in-room and lobby coffee selections are excellent, the pool and hot tub are great, and the breakfast has a wide selection of quality items. The summer rate is sometimes hard on my business expense account and I'm forced to stay elsewhere but I always try to stay here.

This is a great hotel and a great location to what we wanted to do in CA. The only issue is the high price of the hotel room. Because of its location, so far from San Fran, the cost should be lower. Otherwise we had a great stay. The breakfast was very good. The fitness center adequate and the pool very nice.

Honestly with the proximity to Sam Francisco and other bay area sites this is one of, if not the best hotels to stay at weather for a day or for a week. It's is. Plus which means it goes above the regular Best Western standard. The price is indeed worth it however especially when you consider a very good breakfast in the morning.

This is our second stay and certainly not our last. If we didn't have promises to keep we'd stay another night to make it three. Here's what we love: West facing rooms (2312 this time) face a California brown hill alive w scrub jays, and an occasional black tail deer. The pool is big enough for swimming laps in a couple directions and the expansive deck has comfortable furniture and a firepit. Artwork, and corridor carpets carry the "Oaks" theme consistently. People are friendly. Quiet mechanical which are important to us. For us this comes 2 weeks into our 7-week western-loop road trip and its a great place to unwind from our activities and catching up with people. A place for a down-day. Here are amenities we wish we had but didn't. 1. A microwave. Kind of a surprise it wasn't there. 2. A shower wand. No surprise on this one. I don't think any BW has shower wands. But the cost so little. Why not? Are they harder to clean or maintain in a measurable way?

The facilities need upgrading, the rooms feel dingy, plugging in the coffeemaker and the hairdryer into the same circuit shorted my room, and the staff... my goodness the front desk staff here make you feel like you're asking them for a kidney when you need their help and if I were their parents, I would have to scold them for being so cold, bordering on rude. If you like hot rooms no microwave and love to eat in hundred degree weather on the second floor this place is for you!! It was 98 Degrees on the second floor where breakfast was served one small fan blowing .People sitting sweating while trying it eat . Crazy we went to IHOP.

We are working on a solution to cool that area down, especially with these warmer summer months. Also, microwaves have always been available upon request and our upcoming guestroom renovation will include a microwave in every room. We appreciate the feedback!

We were on our way to LA and thought this was good area to stay just north of SF. Boy were we right. From check in to check out everything was first class. Don't skip breakfast, you will be sorry if you do.

Originally choose this Best Western Hotel as it was close to where the workshops were held. So glad I did pick this hotel listen to others at the workshop who were staying elsewhere. The room was extremely clean, well layed out and the bed was very, very comfortable. The Continental breakfast offered both hot & cold offerings and there was plenty for all hotel guests. I would recommend this hotel!

This best Western was our third accommodation on an eight different accommodation adventure. Of our chain hotels that we stayed this is probably one of our favorites. It was clean, the price was right, breakfast was great. The front desk Ladies were amazing. Supr helpful and nice people!! They have a nice pool area with a fire pit up on the patio. Was a good stopping point on our way to the coast.

This hotel is one of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed in. Room was immaculate and well decorated, hotel is located against a hill and was surprisingly quiet even though it is next to highway 101. The restaurant was lively and had great food. Hotel staff was very attentive and polite - this is a great location at a great price. I will make this my hotel of choice in the Novato area.

Overall the hotel was nice. What I expect from a hotel, clean, comfortable, quiet. The breakfast could use some healthier options, the workout facility was well equipped. The hotel is overpriced, but similar hotels in the area were similarly priced. Or perhaps I should say overpriced.

I chose this hotel due to its proximity to Hwy 101 and a dear friend's home. It was spacious, comfortable and with a very good bed. The breakfast items on the buffet were ok. I really appreciated the fresh apples to take with me. The coffee was good and the buffet area is comfortable.

A trip for work brought me to the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn. I had a very nice stay. The room was clean and the bed were comfortable. The bathroom was fine, if a little old in the fixtures and wall-covering area. After taking a shuttle from SFO, I made one phone call to the hotel and they sent a nice van over to pick me up from the bus drop-off and take me right over to the hotel. That whole transaction took less than 15 minutes. All the folks working there were invariably nice and helpful. At one point the thermostat controller flaked out and they came right away to try to fix it. As the problem was going to require more work than they could provide that night, they offered to move me to another room. I didn't want to move, as it was late in the evening and I was tired, so they brought me a fan, and that worked beautifully. Great service! Breakfast is what you would expect - nothing spectacular, but a good start to the day and well tended service areas.

We had a two-queen room, which was large and had a full size desk. The sink was separated from the shower/tub and toilet section, which was convenient for two people. We were only there overnight so did not take advantage of amenities beyond the Keurig coffee maker. The place was quite pretty. The buffet breakfast included sausages, egg tarts, hard boiled eggs, fresh oranges and bananas, waffle machine. I was impressed with the calm and courteous helpfulness of the front desk person when attacked by an hysterical patron who clearly needed a nap. Right away.

A great location, clean place, probably was faubulous in the early '90s. The check-in clerk was really friendly, but the hotel employees staring at those few of us eating breakfast was unnecessary. Medium.

Good hotel. Had an issue with someone smoking next door, and they immediately moved us. Good breakfast, pool looked nice (didn't use), adjacent restaurant provided a delicious dinner! Rooms were slightly dated, but comfortable.

Very nice facility, clean comfortable, nicely equipped room with excellent amenities. Great bed, lots of pillows of different sizes, a good amount of warm blankets. Excellent location just off the freeway, very safe location.

Property is clean. Rooms, carpets, beds, bathrooms all are clean probably due to renovation. This is a BW plus so breakfast is a little step up from the regular BW. But nothing to celebrate about - the same machine food you get in most hotel breakfasts. Cereals, oats, waffle maker, milk, yogurt (greek), breads, plastic eggs :) , juices, Starbucks coffee. Parking is easy. Safeway across from the property but need to cross the freeway. Overall good place to stay - one of the better BW plus properties in this larger area.

We are please to be staying at this hotel conveniently located right on the freeway. We came here to explore Point Reyes National Seashore. The hotel has obviously been recently remodeled and they did a beautiful job. The grounds and room impeccably clean and conveniently arranged. Staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good. I can see where this would be a real gem of a location for Bay Area people who need to get away from it. If we come back to the area we will definitely come back to this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for a week! From pre check in to check out, this hotel was fabulous! Clean rooms, comfy beds, 24/7 coffee, breakfast was 1st class with one of the best selections ever, fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, waffles...! So easy to find using our gps. Staff always welcoming, knowledgeable, and a+ with any concerns. We did use room service and they too were fantastic, hot, quick and really not expensive! Our room faced the mountain and our view was natural fauna, next time I'd opt for the balcony to enjoy my coffee looking out at the fantastic view. The pictures represented in others reviews put mine to shame as I took them after some wine tours...lol! This hotel made our 1st vacation to the west coast worry free! Can't wait to go back!

When holding a conference North of San Francisco Bay, this location is well worth considering. The Meeting areas are large and comfortable, the detached restaurant has excellent food and service and appears also to be popular with the locals, and the hotel amenities themselves are quite nice too. There is a rear courtyard with a pool, hot tub and firepit. this area is nicely tiered to fit in with the hillside location. Free time? lots in the area to do and see as well.

Clean, quiet, comfortable, nice view, excellent service. Rooms are a nice size for two. This new Best Western Plus is ideal for female business travelers. All doors to rooms are inside the hotel. Excellent location for Marin and Sonoma County. Only drawback is traffic in the Bay Area is awful not matter where you are or what time of day, but, that is no fault of the hotel's.

A large Inn near the 101 freeway but minimum noise. Room was just fine, very large, clean, and a refrigerator. Breakfast was typical for BW Inns. The pool will be great in summer months. Plenty of parking.

This property has great customer service and is a tremendous value for the cost. Their breakfast is great. It is no problem at all adjusting or cancelling reservations. The location is very convenient being just of the freeway.

I spent almost 10 days in July at the hotel. People were kind and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was fair for the price I paid. Staff was willing to help as they immediadly changed my room when I asked them to do so. What is most important though is the location. it is north of san francisco (almost 35mins drive) and very close to novato, san rafael and sausalito. Parking is spacious and the restaurant next to the hotel serves delicious food. It could have been a bit cheaper but over it good.

It's been several years since we've stayed at a BW and boy oh boy, have they come a long way! Check in was very quick and easy with the employee's being extremely helpful and friendly. The front desk called about 20 minutes after we checked into our room to make sure everything was as expected and asked if we needed anything. We were greeted (not in a creepy way) each time we walked passed the front desk during our stay which made us feel very welcomed. Our room was large with warm tones and comforting décor. Bed was comfortable, carpet was soft and the overall feeling was relaxed. Everything was clean, clean, clean!! The only thing I would have preferred would have been more pillow choices. We had several pillows but they all had the same relative thickness. I'm sure if I would have called the front desk they would have been more than accommodating to bring a new selection. We had virtually no noise which surprised me considering we were facing the 101. The walls were solid and we only heard the door across from us close twice. Construction was being done on our floor but we did not hear any noise coming from those rooms. I loved that the thermostat had a motion sensor on it which makes it very eco friendly! Bathroom was large with great water pressure in the shower. There was a choice of two lights in there. One was a light with the vent fan (nice to have when traveling with the hubby) and the other was on a timer (which he found funny to have go off while I was in the shower). Since we had plans both mornings we were there, we did not get a chance to try the continental breakfast that was offered. I cannot comment on housekeeping either as we opted for skipping it (we tend to be low maintenance). When we returned to our room later in the day there was a voicemail on our in-room phone saying that if we wanted housekeeping to come in, just call down to the front desk and let them know. If I had to find something wrong with the room the only thing I could pick would be the noise coming from water pipes in the wall during the morning when you first turn on the hot water (ours at home make way more noise). If that's the only issue I ever have in a hotel, I'm good with that because that's no big F'n deal in my book. Will we be staying here again??? Hell ya!

Check in was simple with very friendly staff. Nice large room with good size bathroom. Everything very clean, more TV channels than we would know what to do with. Breakfast was very nice especially the quiche/frittata. Bed was very comfortable and noise level very low. Lobby was very nice with nice library area. Coffee available all day as well as water fountains. Only minor downside was that I went to the laundry one morning to find both washing machines full of clothes but not running! I then noticed there were coins in the slots ready to use the machines, weird. I went to reception and asked what I should do. They came back to the laundry with me and asked if it was ok with me for them to run the machines and they offered to do my wash as soon as the machines were finished. I agreed to that but given there was no one there I would have emptied one of the machines and left the quarters. I went back to the laundry room a little later and the machines were in progress. I then went to reception to get my laundry which I was more than happy to do now things were moving. After waiting to allow the other wash to finish I went back to the laundry to start my wash. The lady who had monopolized the machines was there with a rather scary looking dog!!! This hotel had a no pet policy!! The dog kept heading in my direction until the lady told the dog to sit which did not work very well and I just wanted to get out of there as I'm allergic to dogs. I returned later to dry my clothes but both dryers were in use as was the second washer. I left again and returned to find the same lady loading up the washers again! I was able to finally get my clothes in the dryer but when I went back to collect them the same lady was loading the washers again. Very strange. I asked reception about the dog and they told me that it must be a service/comfort dog. The dog had no jacket indicating this so assume this must be a Californian thing. A great hotel but don't think we'll be back if service dogs have priority over my allergies

I do apologize for the laundry debacle and did want to address the service dog issue. We have to, by law, allow service animals in our hotel. And this is not just in California - this is law applies to all states. Under the ADA, State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is normally allowed to go. In regards to the jacket comment, it is illegal under Federal law for anyone to require documentation of a team. Many disabled individuals choose to provide a vest for their Service Dog and/or carry identification, however it is not required that they do. You may encounter a disabled individual who chooses to keep their disability private. We hope that the service dog issue does not dissuade you from staying with us again. Everything here was great! The only thing was challenging was the laundry room. It said it opened I think at 8, but nobody was there and it took too long to get it opened when we asked so we had to do our laundry at our next hotel. It would be nice for late travelers coming in to be able to use the workout room and laundry a little later in the evenings. The pool is not heated. The rest of the stay was very nice, we will return the the hotel another time when we are in the area.

I love getting good reviews and I hate giving bad reviews. This is a great review: The staff in this hotel is OUTSTANDING! Just about the best I've ever dealt with. Michelle Duffy, the GM can be very proud of her staff and how they treated me as well as other guests. I had a chance to talk with her and was very impressed with her warmth and friendliness. I want to recognize, by name, some of the staff who made my stay an absolute delight. At the Front Desk: Amanda, Frankie, Nadia, and Judy. Travis was manning the desk at checkout. Rolando and Allan were also standouts helping me with my bags and driving me into downtown Novato to catch the bus into San Francisco. I had a suite that would have been perfect for a romantic tryst or an oasis for a weary traveler. GOOD STUFF - The bed linen was as soft and comfortable as silk. - The bathrobes were a nice touch. Not plush, but stretchable enough to fit my rather large frame. - The Keurig machine in the room brewed a nice cup of coffee. - The breakfast coffee was full-bodied and delicious. 3 NITPICKS - The breakfast area was quite nice, but the food was average. - There was no safe in the room. - The shower head was placed very low and came up to my belly button . . . Okay, my lower chest. I give this hotel my highest recommendation.

We stayed here...a little less than 20 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge...a 28.00 Uber ride to the north end of the bridge, where many of the bus tours pick up. Convenient and a WHOLE LOT cheaper than SF. Nice hotel and rooms. Big bathroom, with sink outside of it so others can still be getting ready even if someone is showering (forever, like a teenager, LOL). Typical amenities including large dorm fridge, but the only microwave we ever found was in the complimentary breakfast area! Welcoming lobby with water feature, reading area with lots of books, upstairs breakfast area could use more tables, but selection of foods is good. Lots of outside areas to lounge...by the pool, in an intimate area with landscaping and a covered table, etc. Get a ground floor room..the only elevator is in the middle building, so if you are on the second-floor you have to use the stairs or go up in the main building elevator and key card between buildings. Patio walls and a slight elevation still give ground floor rooms privacy. You get a 10% off coupon to the on-site (next door) restaurant. If you take a bus tour, make sure you are back NORTH of the Golden Gate Bridge before you call an Uber...Ubers don't cross the bridge, and a taxi from Fisherman's Wharf to Novato is $125 (don't ask me how I know!).

This hotel is a great value for the $ and we plan to stay there each time we are in the area. The rooms have lots of space. The breakfast is more than adequate. They also have balconies. Very close to our destination via Highway 101. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

I don't want to tell anybody how good this place is because I want to make sure there are rooms the next time I make reservations. Great location, fantastic and friendly staff and couldn't ask for a cleaner faciltiy. My whole family enjoyed our stay. It was difficult to leave but we are coming back.

We had to be in the area for family reasons. We were exhausted and looking forward to a restful stay. Check-in was easy. We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant. The room was clean, comfortable and attractive. Breakfast was good with a decent variety of offerings.

I always go to Best Western Plus Novato Oaks because there is easy parking, clean and quality rooms, friendly staff, books to read, and a very friendly staff. The ADA room had a great shower. It is fun to be greeted with a chocolate cookie late at night.

After several trips to Novato, staying at a competitor hotel, I decided to try the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn, because the price was so much better. I was VERY pleasantly surprised that for less money, I got a way better experience. Lovely, helpful staff, great breakfast, and attached to a very nice restaurant and bar. Easy access to freeway, great view of the sunrise - altogether, a really great experience.

What a lovely review of the Novato Oaks Inn. I think you really summed up everything we strive for...great location, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms...what more could you ask for? We'd love to have you here again!

We needed a place to stay close to Petaluma since my son had an early morning gymnastics meet Sunday morning. Novato is about 20 mins away so we booked a night here. The location was great, off of Hwy101 and close to Super Duper Burger where we grabbed dinner after we check in. They also have a restaurant on site which looked pretty good too. Plenty of parking which is a PLUS! Staff was very friendly and checked us in right away. Our room was on the second floor in the second building. There was a funny smell in the hallway but overall wasn't a deal breaker. The set up of the room was different. The bathroom (toilet/shower) are separate (great for privacy) but was soon as you walk into the room you hit into the sink which seemed like such a strange place for it. The coffee maker is sitting on the sink. The closet is on the right as soon as you walk in. Two queen beds, TV, table with 2 chairs. There is a mini fridge which was handy but disappointed there was no microwave. Morning breakfast had a nice hodge podge of items but I was missing bacon. Sausages, egg patties, some egg type soufflé was there, make your own waffle, donuts, muffins, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit, and juice was all available. We had a great night stay and the bed was comfortable. The mattress felt like a memory foam type so I enjoyed my night's sleep. Nice place, would recommend it if looking for a place in Novato.

My stay at Best Western Novato Oaks was for a business conference--overnight only. The location--just off Hwy 101--was convenient and easy. The hotel is nice--open, bright rooms with a desk and comfy chair along with a very comfortable bed. The staff were polite and professional at check-in. Express check-out was helpful. The price for an overnight stay in the SF north bay area I thought was pretty reasonable, and included morning breakfast.

I stayed here for business. Staff was very nice and helpful. the breakfast was good. The internet was decently fast. I ate at the restaurant 1 night food was good and people there were friendly. I usually don't stay this far north when I travel for business, but I was having a hard time finding a hotel and this popped up as an option. I would stay here again if I was ever in the area.

The 'Plus' in the name must indicate something more than we knew before our stay. Only stayed one night with our family of 5 but really felt we got our money's worth. The room was plenty spacious for our family to allow our little one to sleep on the floor without threat of a stomping. The bedding was comfortable and clean. We appreciate the divided wash basin from the toilet/tub area - let people handle their business in separate spaces. The morning breakfast spread had plenty of options - sweets, cereals, breads, yogurts and juices. They offered a cheesy, sausage omelette that was one of the best breakfast items we've had in a chain hotel. We depleted their stock of those flavorful bites. I always give extra credit for hotels offering a complimentary Wall Street Journal. I don't need the local news - give me something substantive.

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip based on the location and overall high score on TripAdvisor. I did review comments from past guests and found there was some inconsistency from one guest giving high reviews and the next giving moderate to low reviews. The self-parking is easy to access and close to the hotel. The guest rooms are spacious and clean with large bathroom. I liked the Keurig coffee maker as I usually bring my own coffee k-cups. I was on the hillside of the hotel and did not hear any freeway noise or hotel noise. The biggest downfall and why I will hesitate to stay at a Best Western Plus was the very slow working WIFI. My device was constantly searching for the WIFI signal and loaded one page over about 5 minutes to 10 minutes - VERY SLOW. I was unable to stream anything not Hulu, Netflix, Amazon or even YouTube. When I contacted the front desk, I was told to come to the lobby for working WIFI. I can't imagine that traveling on a business trip would require me to pajama party in the lobby just to use the WIFI. I consider that unacceptable as there is no excuse to say you have WIFI when in fact you don't unless your room is right over the lobby.

We had evacuated ourselves and my Mom & her caregiver from Santa Rosa during the North Coast fires in Oct 2017. We were desperate to find a hotel, so on short notice, the staff accommodated our needs and managed to keep us there as we extended our stay, trying to wait out the fires. We had to change rooms a couple of times (due to our short notice), but they did everything they could to minimize that. Everyone, from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff was excellent! And they have a great breakfast! Room service was excellent as well as the on-property restaurant!

My room facing the highway had traffic noise as one might expect. Although it had a nice balcony and view, the traffic noise distracts, even though at some distance from the hotel. Room itself is comfortable with the amenities well placed. High quality TV with large flat screen. The coffee maker is one that does one cup at a time, but a more sophisticated model, and regular solid cups are provided, not the styrifoam type. Hot water from bath faucets was immediate and adjusting water temp was easy..

As a borderline germ-o-phobe, I have to say this hotel far exceeded any expectations I had of staying in a hotel. I was there for 4 nights, visiting my sister in Novato. It was comfortable, accessible with WiFi, and CLEAN. Breakfast was great (little quiches) with a wide selection of cereal, waffles, etc. and 24 hr availability of Starbucks coffee. Slightly on the expensive side (coming from New England) but well worth it. I would highly recommend the Best Western Novato Oaks Inn if you are staying in the area!

This hotel has beautiful,fresh, tranquil decor. All staff members are very helpful and professional. Beds are THE most comfortable I've ever slept on. Restaurant has a good selection and very good food. I do think $230 a night is too expensive.

My wife and I were mandatory evacuated, due to the Sonoma Valley Fires. My wife has Stage 4 Melonoma, and can't stay at a shelter. I explained all this, and was told there was no extended stay discount. We had no choice but to stay. After speaking to several other fire victims, we found that most hotels were giving decent discounts I have a heart condition, and had to get medical attention, after being treated so badly. My cancer ridden wife was crying.

We are very sorry for your displacement during the tragic Sonoma/Napa fires and for the health issues being experienced by your wife, but we strongly object to your allegation of price gauging during a time of crisis. As we explained to you on more than one occasion, we offered deep discounts to all fire victims who contacted the hotel directly, but you made your reservation through Expedia where standard rates were available. As you know, we ultimately did agree to comp your stay with us.

The people who take reservations and help check people in are amazing. They went out of their way during all the wild fires to take excellent care of their guests. They were very helpful with the first responders as well as other business guests that were out in the area for disaster relief

I wanted to like this place and there were plenty of good things about it: nice location with easy access to SF and wine country, warm, delicious cookies in the lobby each night, clean rooms, friendly staff, ample parking. But then there were the fails; worst was the AC. We kept the temp set at 73, but the room would cycle up to 78 before AC blower kicked in. It would blow like crazy for 30 mins and repeat the 2hr cycle. Made it very uncomfortable for sleeping. The AC unit itself was very loud. Other fails were the peeling surface of the whirlpool tub, lack of daily variety in breakfast buffet - we were there for 9 days, it got old - fast; and most annoying the hot tub was out of commission for essentially our entire stay. It was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. Overall, I would not give it any more than a 3 out of 5...mainly because of the cookies!!!

The hotel staff was very helpful, nice. The building is older, but pretty clean. The staff takes great pride in their hotel. Hotel is far enough away from SF, to enjoy the quietness, but close enough to get to SF within 40 minutes.

There are a number of reasons why I continue to stay here. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The facility is clean and well maintained. The amenities are very good, from the complementary breakfast to the pool and exercise room. Located just off Highway 101, this hotel is a short drive to San Francisco, the beautiful Marin coast, Infineon Raceway and the Napa and Sonoma wine country.

My first time at Best Western in the US, the staff here made my stay exceptional. The location is perfect for my business, and convenient to many of the local attractions. The value of this property is at the top, clean and friendly. I will stay here again.

it was a very nice hotel with excellent staff who were very helpful in any way possible, clean and comfortable will recommend friends who travel close to the same area.the location is close to shops and restaurants and hwy easy access to north or south 101 .

I do appreciate that hotels still offer toiletries . This observation is not directed at this hotel specifically but many hotels in general. I would like to suggest that Hotels consider ditching those little plastic shampoo/ conditioner bottles for an in shower mounted refillable option. With that off my chest here is my review.. My husband and I found this hotel (using trip advisor) after three of our flights were cancelled trying to return to Florida because of hurricane Irma. We Spent five days here and couldn't be happier with this hotel . Great location off route 101. Convenient to wine country, Sausalito (can fake a ferry into San Francisco from Sausalito) or drive to SF. The Wildfox restaurant is right next door . There is a Burger King across the street for the kids. Lots of restaurants around , including Terrapin Crossroads. This is a funky live music venue owned by Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead for those deadheads out there. Staff are all very cheerful, helpful and professional. The front desk helped us find a very economical shuttle service when dollar rental ( that's a different story and review) fell short in their customer service. Clean room, comfortable beds and pillows. We stayed in room 4208 . This room had a microwave and refrigerator. Nice location with view of hillside ( literally) The breakfast area and pool were at the end of our hall. Still, it very quiet . They offered coffee for us early risers and warm cookies in the early evening . Yum. There are complimentary toiletries if you should run out. Well appointed continental breakfast ,IMHO, offering both cold and warm choices. There was something for everyone. The breakfast staff were friendly and took great care keeping the food/coffee plentiful and area clean . There is Pool, ( a bit cold for us Floridians lol) , ping pong , and a small fitness center we ventured to ( after feeling guilty about eating those warm cookies night after night). Free parking, Wifi and computer useage. Coin operated laundry service on premises. There are many hotels to choose from ,however, we found this hotel had everything we needed and highly recommend staying here. . Kudos Best Western Plus and the entire staff.

The rooms are well equipped and well priced and overall this a good quality Best Western also providing a pool and spa. You will need a car in this area as the local towns are a fair distance however there is a reasonable restaurant with a broad food offering and they include breakfast which is fairly comprehensive.

We have family in the North Bay and the Novato Oaks is our go-to hotel when we visit. The amenities are great, the accommodations are exemplary and the location can't be beat. You're only a short drive to SF via the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, Stinson Beach, Petaluma, Sonoma Raceway, Sausalito, Marin Headlands, Mt. Tamalpais, Muir Beach, and the list goes on. Info/Tips: - looking to go for a run? Head up the hill and into the residential section. I promise, it'll be a workout worth doing. - toast, a restaurant across the highway in Novato, is worth visiting. - onsite restaurant is excellent.

We attend drag races in the area at least 5 times a year and stay at this Hotel when we do. Our first experience here several years back was a great one and has been every time since. Best reviewed hotel with the most reasonable rate on line the day we were booking. Breakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable. It is relatively close to the highway and can be some slight noise of your room is faced to the road. Nice porch off the room was a great place to relax.

This hotel is in a great location approximately 20 to 30 min north of San Francisco. Its in a quiet area has a very nice fancy restaurant called the Wild Fox on site. We got to the hotel late and ate pizza at this restaurant and it was very good. The hotel is very large. The staff was very welcoming and polite when we checked in and out. I wish breakfast was more of a traditional style and the coffee they served was more of a medium instead of a dark. The Coffee was Starbucks though which was a nice touch just was not for me. For breakfast they served a egg cheese and ham souffle which was ok bacon or sausage would have been better I think. The waffles and yogurt were good. They also had cereal which I did not try. Over all this place was very nice. The hotel was clean. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. We would stay here again if we ever travel to San Francisco again.

This place is always nice! It feels very safe to stay. It had a nice little gym. There are lots of places to eat nearby. It is just over the freeway from shopping. Breakfast is Continental but happy that they are now offering soy milk for those of us that have trouble with regular milk. Parking is free. You have to request a microwave, but there hasn't been a time when I didn't have one for me. Nice day for the price in the area!

You can move around the room very easily. The bed sheets are clean and spotless. The pillows was good ad new. In my opinion the Price is too high. The breakfast is very simple. We find a piece of hair in the boiled eggs. The room was clean.The internet in the room was working well but not very fast.

All was very nice except the coffee in the room was almost undrinkable. Staff was very friendly and available. The breakfast offered many nice options and the flavor of all was quite good. Public restrooms conveniently located and very clean.

To start off, I would be happy to stay at Best Western Plus Novato Oaks in every future visit to Marin County. It is easily accessible off US-101 at exit 458. The hotel is beautifully appointed with a waterfall and library and coffee nook right off the main lobby. The rooms are very fresh and clean and quite large: more like a suite than just a room! So there is a wow-factor as soon as you open the door. The bed, linens, and pillows are as comfortable as can be. The bathroom was sparkly clean and hot water was available instantly in the shower. A Keurig coffee maker and four K-cups were set up for the morning. The hotel consists of five buildings adjoined by a breezeway. Security is commendable as the buildings are accessible from the outside only with a room key. However, you can enter the complex at multiple locations from the parking lot, so you are never far from your room. The parking lot is large and even though they were busy over the weekend I stayed, there was always a convenient place to park. For nearby dining options, there is an upscale onsite restaurant (“Wildfox” – It received very good reviews from my family who live nearby though I did not sample it myself.) and a Burger King right across the street. My room had a large screen TV and a small refrigerator. I wish the room was also equipped with a microwave, but there was a microwave always available in the centrally-located breakfast room. There was little variability in the breakfast menu from day to day – sausage links and plain omelets were the hot protein options every day - but there were plenty of bread and pastry options, breakfast burritos, yogurts, hard-cooked eggs, a variety of good-quality cereals, oatmeal, Carbon® brand waffles, etc. And the food buffet was kept well-stocked by a hard-working and friendly gentleman. Just outside the breakfast room you will find the outdoor pool. The staff keeps it very clean and there are many tables and chairs to relax and enjoy the weather day or night. There is nothing to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel but the easy access to US-101 and the hotel's proximity to San Rafael (6 miles), downtown Novato (5 miles), Petaluma (9 miles), the Golden Gate (20 miles), Sonoma and Napa wine countries (25 and 35 miles) make this a prime location to see the northern Bay area.

We had the best experience at this hotel and would recommend this Best Western for its location, comfort and beauty. Wonderful staff and just outside the big city was convenient for us on this trip. Very recommended!

10 family members stayed here for a weekend event. We all thought the rooms were roomy and comfortable, the hotel was attractive, and the continental breakfast very nice. The food at the Wildfox restaurant was excellent. Staff was pleasant and helpful and the fitness room had several aerobic machines and a good variety of other equipment. The machines were well maintained (not always the case with hotel gyms). If ever in Novato again this is where we would stay.

We just stayed short one day. Good place for San Francisco travellers to find the cheaper lodge. I like the clean room and pool. The breakfast is simple but we had enough in the morning. We didn't use the pool due to timing, but it looks good.

This was the worst hotel. The jetted rubs had hair and who know what coming from the jets. The plaster was falling off of the walls in the rib showers. There were live bugs in the clean towels. The halls had odors so bad they had to of been trying to hide other gross smells. The breakfast was started last as the employee finally showed up saying he slept in. One staff member asked me to move so he could get his own breakfast. The worst hotel ever and not worth the 250 per night ! Save your money and time! Go to a different hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 3 nights. Convenient location to visit all the neighboring towns and cities: San Rafael, San Anselmo, Sausalito, Mill Valley, Santa Rosa, etc. Helpful staff. Spacious, clean room with nice decor. Very comfy bed. Sufficient amenities in the room. Very good breakfast.

Comfortable quite room facing hillside with wildlife and great view. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Hotel centrally located to have access to entire Marin County, coast and Napa/Sonoma County wine country.

I stayed for two week nights. Kathy at the Front Desk was especially friendly and gracious when I called to let her know I am checking in especially late. Also, when I checked in, she greeted me with a sincere, bright smile... Having breakfast I can grab and go was convenient. Thank you!

The BW Novato Oaks Inn stay was at the end of our 33 day trip through Oregon and northern California. We booked here because it was near where a friend we were visiting lived. Hotel was quite nice, but it was substantially more pricey than other Best Westerns we'd stayed in in the previous couple of weeks. It would have been nice to have a real coffee cup (not paper) and milk or UHT milk in the room rather than powdered coffee 'creamer' which is really corn syrup.

Booking.com rip off, call hotel direct better pricing. Booking.com can't match because has to be done before u check in. Place very nice easy on and off. Half hour to San Francisco had great trip would stay again

This is a beautiful hotel and was a great place for our family to stay. The staff was friendly and just about everything was perfect. The internet was quite slow and the rooms appeared to be numbered by a crazy person but you could find your room easily enough if you followed the signs (just don't expect to be able to guess your floor by your room number!)

Right off the freeway this hotel is remarkably quiet, clean and convenient. I mostly encountered business travelers like myself and some European vacationers. The dedicated restaurant "Wildfox" has excellent fare at reasonable prices with specials if you dine early.

The hotel is fine, for Novato. I appreciate being upgraded to room to the one directly above the lobby (forgot the number - sorry). All of your staff is very friendly and helpful. Two negatives - 1) used soap and soap dish, which was corrected by the front desk and 2) the jetted tub is ancient and looks filthy, even though it is probably not. The use of that tub, except as an oversize shower, was not going to happen. You need to replace that thing.

This is my go to hotel in Marin when I come to visit! Hotel rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great location in Marin for access to both southern Marin, SF and Wine country.

Great stay would return if in the area again! Staff was very efficient and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.The buffet breakfast had a variety of items including fresh fruit.the pool area was clean ans well kept.

Loved the stay! We chose this hotel for our entire wedding party to stay at. As the bride, they upgraded my room as well so I had a great experience! Loved the bath with jets as well as bath salts in the room already. Very thoughtful. Our wedding party was pleased as well. I enjoyed my stay at Best Western...The staff was very friendly and the hotel was beatiful. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, great variety. The hotel was easy to find. i Highly recommend. I felt as though I was at Hyatt or Hilton.

We have a very long drive. We arrive and were pleasantly surprised. The Hotel was conveniently located off of Highway, yet no loud noises. Really comfortable and nice Bedding. Clean. The Staff is amazing. This was a really nice stay. I came back the following month. This will be our secret stopping grounds for our travel to the wine Country, SF and Central Valley.

We loved our experience at this Hotel! We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit California! I don't know of anything that could have made this stay any better! We enjoyed their pool/spa as well, it was very clean and refreshing. The bed was so comfortable and the room was very cozy, warm and wonderful!

I stay exclusively at Best Westerns. I have seen the mighty good and the mighty bad, all within the same general geographical location. I have never stayed at this Best Western but I walked to my truck saying "I will stay here again!" This is the ENTIRE PACKAGE! From the parking lot to the room and back to the parking lot and everything in between was OUTSTANDING. I had never stayed here due to it's price always being too high compared to other Best Westerns in the area. And price will be the only thing that prevents me from staying there again. This will be one of the first places I check when I have to go to the Bay Area. Yes I mentioned price several times. Well done with this Best Western! And man oh man, I am not a fashion guru, but I want my room to look like that at home!!!!!!!!!

We stayed one night at this property and found it to be a very nice facility with clean comfortable rooms and a hillside view in back of motel. Rooms on the back side away from the freeway are quiet. It has a nice size, clean pool, but dinky little hot tub. (My only complaint). Continental breakfast was good with most of the usual selections plus eggs, sausage and waffles. In back of the pool area is a nice bar-b-que for customers' use and a ping pong table. I slept great in the comfortable bed with no aches at all in the morning, but the beds might be a bit too soft for some perhaps depending on preference. Shower was spotless and had good water pressure. The sink is adjacent to, but just outside of the bathroom which is a plus. The room was plenty big and had a spacious desk with chair, and an easy chair besides. Front desk staff was very friendly and personable. The price was very reasonable for Marin County and I would choose to stay here again for sure.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The main lobby was very nice with a lounge area. Pool area was very clean and roomy. The fitness center was one of the nicest I've seen at a best western. Overall a great hotel.

Stayed at this hotel in Novato for 10 nights on a business trip to the area. Very nice Best Western, beautiful grounds, excellent service, very nice rooms, very accommodating staff. The Wildfox restaurant next door is excellent. I would highly recommend this property.

Conveniently located, appearance is very good. Clean with nice comfortable rooms. Pool and spa. Breakfast. Room was kind of strangely laid out. Refrigerator was not level, but kept things cold AND frozen. Coffee maker definitely needs to be upgraded. Very cheap and hard to fill without spilling water all over.

I always stay there! Great breakfast and lovely pool set in California Oak trees with a wonderful restaurant next door. The parking is easy and is right off of a #101 exit. The staff is intelligent and friendly. The decor is pleasing and the rooms are always very clean with great sheets.

Rooms were clean, fairly large and nice. No bottled water but with Keurig coffee which was good. Wi-Fi ok. Not real special and over-priced just like all hotels in area. Nice pool area and free breakfast make up for a lot.

I cannot say enough good things about BW. The appearance of exterior is very up to date. The front desk staff were superb. The room was clean, modern, quiet, and convenient. The pool area was much better than expected. Fire pit and barbecue a great plus w nice outdoor furniture. Will definitely return. Again, front desk was best I have seen in a long time

We stayed here on our road trip across California. I chose this location because it was close in proximity to San Francisco. The Good: Room was big Room was clean Location right off interstate The Neutral: Pool was nice Laundry Facility was nice (it closes at 9 pm, you cannot wash clothes after that) The Bad: It's noisy The parking lot is not big and there were big trucks and trailers taking up multiple spots The breakfast was not good, it was bad. But the gentleman staffing it was efficient and friendly. There was a spider in my bed (see pics) Summary: For $160.00 a night I would expect more. We paid less at other hotels along the way and had a better stay. When I showed front desk personnel the picture of the spider in my bed she said "oh that's not good it's that time of year." She then said other than the spider and the electricity being out for about 4 hours was the rest of my stay ok.

This hotel is wonderful, clean, spacious rooms, kind and friendly staff, great breakfast. I have stayed at many Best Western's and this was one of the best. We arrived very late at night after a trying and emotional day, staff greeted us with a great welcome and quickly got his checked in. As there was limited parking and I have a disability they let us stay in the 15 minute parking all night. Room had a balcony. We didn't get the chance to take in the pool but eat breakfast by it in the AM and it seemed lovely. Would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling along the 101 for a nice comfortable night.

Comfortable rooms (get an executive room if you can). They have a very good breakfast selection, and there is a decent restaurant across the parking lot. The staff is friendly and wants to help. The free internet is above average. Pool area looks good, but I did not use it.

Truly accessible weekend; our family is already planning for a return visit! Our daughter is a wheelchair-user and the room for her and her assistant was perfect: separate queen beds, ample bathroom with roll-in shower. Weather was perfect for a swim, and the hotel has a battery-powered lift into and out of the lovely, clean and not too heavily chlorinated private-feeling pool. (Be sure to alert the hotel before your arrival so that the lift will be charged.) A family of deer was feeding on the oak-studded hillside above the pool. There is enough variety in the breakfast menu (see other reviews) so that we could have different breakfasts each day. The Wild Fox restaurant (on the premises) pureed our daughter's food as if it were part of their daily routine and everything was beautifully prepared and the menu carefully chosen and varied. Staff very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area.

Super location, friendly staff, good room and nice restaurant next door. The location is convenient. Wi-Fi service was easy to use and no charge, which is i,portant to business travelers like me. Breakfast was also very good and the location of the eaing area was very calm and friendly. I would recommend this to all my friends. Not too far from SFO airport.

This hotel is outstanding. Anytime I am in th Bay Area, I try to stay here. The staff are first class. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. This BW rivals most higher level hotels. As a frequent business traveler that also regards my company's cost of doing business, I have to decide sometimes between comfort and cost. Many times I stay at Best Western because the Hilton or IHG chain hotels are too expensive. But in this case, I stay here by choice. This is a great hotel in every way.

Although the hotel was booked solidly the previous night, we were checked in four hours early, to the type of room we originally chose. The woman at the desk was friendly, humorous and personable, not to mention helpful in getting us shelter from the 100º weather. Our room was spacious, the beds comfortable, the air conditioning perfect, and every detail of the room was clean and in good repair. Our room was quiet and our second floor balcony private. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with apparent sincerity, and that felt great. The pool, which inexplicably isn't advertised, was sparkling clean, did not smell of chlorine and was just the right temperature. Breakfast was more than adequate, with a variety of good quality food. There is a walking trail in an open space preserve three minutes walk away.All this for a very modest price.

This hotel is very nice. The moment I walked into the hotel, I felt that this is where I was meant to stay. The staff (from front desk staff to the folks cleaning the rooms) were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. In the future, should I travel this way, this would be the first place I would look to stay. The beds were comfortable, and the balcony was an added bonus. The breakfast buffet was nice.

Very modern hotel. The rooms are very clean and nicely appointed. The breakfast was very good. The hotel staff was very helpful. Nice location near Hwy 101. The restaurant on the same property was good.

I arrived late, after midnight, tired after working all day, flying in from Phoenix and then driving 45 minutes to the hotel from SFO and was greeted by an amazing, friendly woman who was so helpful. She directed me to my room and even called me soon afterwards to make sure I found it okay and told me about a wine event the next day in the lobby. Definitely top notch service. I highly recommend staying here.

We decided to get away for a couple days and relax, the room was nice but I was disappointed as I tried to access ITunes Store and was not able to as I intended on burning Cd's...I couldn't understand why I could access Netflix but not iTunes...

This hotel was clean and conveniently located by the freeway. The rooms were nice and quiet. There was ample parking and a pleasant staff. The breakfast was better than most. My only small complaint is that the hallways and common areas were not as well air conditioned as the rooms.

Hotel was Ok - just average. I expected more from a Best Western Plus. Beds were average - no pillow top. Breakfast was good with multiple choices. Bakery goods were excellent. Location was very good. We went to Sonoma & Napa valley and this hotel was great for our starting points.

We drive to SF every week for medical appts.. We love to stay at this hotel. The rooms are great, the breakfast is very good and the parking is free!! Anyone that has stayed in SF knows what I'm talking about. 20-30 minute commute to SF (depending on traffic) which is totally worth it with the total savings!

A/C didn't work properly. Road noise audible on highway side of hotel. "Fake Eggs" at breakfast. Bathroom/vanity spaces small. Bed needed replacing. Entire hotel needs updating. Elevator very small. Wouldn't stay here again.

We had the double queen room with a balcony. The balcony was a good size and had basic furniture for use. We loved that the room had a small fridge to keep all our cold foods in after a day of travel in the ice chest. The room was clean and comfortable. Due to the amazing beautiful warm weather we got use out of the pool and hot tub. They have a fairly nice outdoor area here. After dinner at Wildfox (good food and just a walk across the parking lot) we sat around the gas fire pit also in the outdoor area. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was super easy. Parking is free. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to grab the free breakfast but it looked easy and convenient. This is a good comfortable place to stay and we'd stay here again. Pretty quick simple drive into San Francisco, depending on traffic of course.

The design of the balcony allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the scenery without anyone else seeing us. It was a great addition to a very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was the best we have eaten in a hotel. Great selection of healthy and just yummy. Every item was fresh and proper temp. Variety was outstanding. Egg, ham, and cheese cups were moist and very tasty.

Going to a high school reunion to be held at the Embassy Suites in San Rafael, about 10 minutes south of this BW. The attendees were supposed to get a special room rate at the reunion hotel. Three months in advance of the date, we tried to get the room at the special rate and we were told they were booked unless we booked two nights. Found the BW+ Novato Oaks Inn to be very accommodating and their room rate was lower than the unavailable special rate offered by Embassy. The BW was very pleasant, clean, and had a complete breakfast included. We would stay there again when in the area.

Room was large King bed, desk, dresser, chair and ottoman. A little different bathroom layout but it actually worked well for 2 people. I thought it was a little over priced but isn't anything near San Francisco. The bed was comfortable but nearing an update. It's always nice to have a little breakfast available. It was better than average for this type of Hotel. Friendly people.

Went to Novato for a family reunion and so glad we chose the Best Western for our two night stay. I will definitely be back. Great for families! Comfortable beds and slept like a baby. Great room layout and balcony to sit on and have coffee in the morning. The free breakfast in the morning was a plus. My kids enjoyed the pool and ping pong table as well.

I was part of a group that stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. It worked out perfectly and the hotel is very conveniently located, very clean and very comfortable. They have a great breakfast in the morning and it's setup early for early birds. I supplemented with some of my own groceries and it felt like I was right at home. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable and I never had a bad nights sleep. Would definitely stay again!

I was genuinely worried when we first pulled up. It's an older hotel with a dated decor but it does not lack on quality. The room was nice and clean with a good cleaning crew the next morning. It was nice and quiet in our room and we enjoyed the balcony. The hotel breakfast was even more surprising with a great staff and fresh doughnuts every morning as well as great selection of yogurts and a make your own parfait station. Don't judge the book by it's cover... Great location if you plan to do Sonoma and San Francisco while traveling. It was nice to NOT be in the city with the option of traveling north to the wine country. Thank you Best Western.

A very nice hotel just North of San Francisco - but very close to Sausalido, Muir Woods and also just of the main 101 Highway The hotel looked nice and the staff were very friendly The rooms were bigger than you would get in San Francisco, and clean The attached restaurant was a pleasant change and well worth a visit

We recently stayed two nights at this exceptional Best Western Plus while we were moving out of our home in Novato to relocate to a new home in El Dorado Hills outside of Sacramento. Despite having to change our reservation just a day before, the front desk staff was extremely accommodating and was able to secure another reservation for us on a busy weekend. We unfortunately were not really able to enjoy all the facilities due to time restraints, but the room was extremely clean, the beds very comfortable and the only drawback we found was a slightly dated HVAC wall unit that was somewhat noisy. The complimentary breakfast had a wide assortment of choices, with just about anything you might enjoy for a quick bite including bakery fresh doughnuts and muffins in an impressive display case in its own separate area of the well spaced dining area. A very nice staff member was present even in the wee hours of the morning to assist in preparing our plates and answer any questions. Overall, this property easily earns its #1 ranking and would be hard to beat under any circumstances considering its value, extremely hospitable and friendly staff, prime location and a willingness to meet and exceed a guests every expectation. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying again if the opportunity arises.

This Best Western was awesome in every way. I wish I would have brought my bathing suit! The room was great with a great view of nature outside. The bed was super comfy with heaps of pillows! I had room service both nights i was there and the food from the Wild Fox was yummy and the people I dealt with all weekend either at the hotel or restaurant were awesome.

A very nice property in Marin County north of San Francisco. Close to the freeway but the room was quiet. Large room with a large patio that had a table and two chairs. One of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in in our travels. Spotless. Decent breakfast with a large variety of things to chose from including eggs, sausage, waffles, breads, cereal and all manner of baked goodies.. If someone in your party loves doughnuts for breakfast, this is the place for you. Good lighting in the room if you like to read which is a nice change from many hotels these days so a plus for that. One gripe: the worst toilet paper I've ever run across in a hotel. Not a good way to save money in a property. Not everyone uses the gym or eats breakfast but everyone uses the TP! You can do better.

All the people are wonderful and the hotel overall is great. Central HVAC means either heat or cooling based on the season with limited control. Had to open patio door to regulate temp. In room refrigerator was a good freezer but both typical for hotels. Could have used an updated mattress but OK, sagged where too many have slept in the same spot

Overall we were very dissatisfied. We were put up by the back entrance so we always heard the door slam when people were in and out. Our ac/heater unit rattled non-stop, our remote to our TV wasn't working and we had to turn our refrigerator on since it was turned off. Housekeeping was extremely loud throughout the halls at 8:20am laughing and talking very loud amongst themselves. More like cackling. It was very rude. I would never stay here again.

Our stay recently at the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn was great. The room was the best, Best Western room we have ever had and we do stay at the Best Westerns a lot. It was a room right by the breakfast area and the swimming pool and hot tub. The view of the Mountains in Marin were beautiful and bucolic. The staff there was great, getting our bags to the room was easy with the elevator convenient. The staff there was as pleasant as they could be and all of the amenities were available and perfect. We were attending a concert at the Marin City Center Veteran's Memorial Hall. The location of the Inn was perfect and so easy to get to. The location is also close to great restaurants in Marin County. It was a great place to stay and we will go again when we are in this part of the Bay Area!

In our case our mattress was a old model spring, not recent. The breakfast facilities are all throw away, the eggs look like plastic, the oat meal is raw, and you put boiling water yourself in a cardboard bowl.....

Hotel very very good. They do need a night light in the bathroom. Very dark the internet is very hard to get up on a computer. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Made for a great thanksgiving experience

Really great layout and facilities. Easy on-off 101. We were in the Bay Area for a high school soccer playoff game. After the game in the city our rear car window was broken into. Lindsey at Novato Oaks went way above and beyond in helping us get the window taped over with plastic and helped us clean up the glass. She was so nice, we appreciated her help very much. I've stayed at Novato Oaks for business in the past. The hotel will be one of my first choices in the future as well. Great location and facilities. Ask for a room in the back if you don't want freeway noise, but he frontside rooms are fine too.

Hotel is very convenient to Dominican University and also not far from San Francisco (via ferry or driving). Very close to wine country and other Marin County activities and restaurants. Staff and accommodations are always excellent and the price is always reasonable. The décor and quality of service and accommodations exceed other Best Westerns we have stayed at.

Easy to reach from Hwy 101, with clean, large, comfortable rooms. Convenient and substantial breakfast with easy checkout. Balcony off room was comfortable for coffee in the morning. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable for deep sleep.

We stayed at the Novato Oaks Inn for three nights. The negatives first: not much of a view, mostly the highway or the hill right behind the hotel. Also, it's not a fancy or elegant hotel. However, the positives far outweigh the negatives. The staff is wonderful. Every person we encountered was friendly and could not have been more helpful. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff friendly and cooperative. Breakfast was plentiful and the fire pit behind the pool was nice and warm on a cool fall evening. We would return here mainly for the staff.

Fantastic Hotel, very clean and fancy. The only draw back is the breakfast buffet. For a hotel like this the standards should reflect on the breakfast buffet. There are no scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage like other Best Westerns.

I do apologize that the breakfast didn't meet your standards. It is difficult to provide the items you mentioned as we do not have a kitchen facility onsite. This is one of the best hotels I have tried this year. I liked the layout of the room and it was very clean. We stayed on the back side of the hotel as the front faces the hyway. This also gave us a nice pastoral view of the hillside meadow with oaks. I also liked that the tv offers the full channel lineup of Direct TV, including HBO and Showtime so we were able to stay caught up on our favorite shows. The only problem was the very noisy AC unit that would not generate any heat when needed. It was partly our fault to stay in the same room the second night as we never got around to reporting the problem. Staff would have been happy to give us another room, so I'm not dinging the hotel too much.

I used this hotel for room blocks for my wedding, and they offered us a room to stay in. We had a suite with a jacuzzi tub. Very clean and spacious. We checked in very late but the staff was very accommodating and I had forgotten my wallet with the bridal party. They were able to get us checked in with no problems. Wonderful hotel.

The hotel was a great place to stay. Rooms were nice, service and all. The complimentary breakfast they offer was very good. Like the added touch of lemon water and cookies at the front desk during the day.

We stay here for family visits twice a year and are always happy with the courteous staff, the clean room, and the basic hot breakfast. This time, however, when I put the notice (and a tip!) on the bed to request clean sheets, it took a third day to actually get clean sheets! I guess the cleaning staff thought we would not notice. I will definitely complain next time because this never happened on other visits and I'm sure they would have corrected the issue if past service is any indicator.

Clean, Comfortoable beds, good Internet, quiet location, great service, decent breakfast. Hotel employees were great. Quick access to the freeway, but the rooms are quiet. There is really nothing at all to complain about. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever need to be in the Novato area.

Friendly welcome with staff who were helpful throughout our stay. We would have enjoyed the 2 day stay far more with a room at the back of the hotel. Our room had a lovely shaded balcony, but was at the front of the hotel, with the 101 freeway constantly roaring outside. The back of the hotel was against a hillside, was very quiet and some guests had seen deer and birds. We had a comfortable, rather soft bed, fridge, and complimentary coffee. We did have tea and a kettle provided when we asked.

I needed a place to stay for a quick business trip for a colleague and myself, and this hotel delivered! The rooms are very clean, they have a great, competent staff, and decent room-service food. I would stay here again for sure.

This is a Best Western with a difference. At least for me the difference is that this is a really good experience. Rooms are nice, access is easy, they accommodate dogs and the restaurant across the carpark (Wildfox) is spectacular.

Wow! A beautiful property, well laid out and a great location. The pool and hot tub was a delight. We look forward to a return visit. Having the Wild Fox Rest. nearby is a bonus. Thanks to all staff at BW you made our visit a treat.

We very much enjoyed the 11 day stay at the BW Plus in Novato, CA. The evening desk staff was very personable and helpful in providing tips for area restaurants. We looked forward to the cookies offered after 7:00 pm. especially after a full day of hiking. The bed was probably the most comfortable motel bed we have slept in. We appreciate the in room refrigerator. The breakfast had a wide variety of items that even included Starbuck coffee. We certainly plan on returning to the BW Plus in Novato, CA in the future.

Hotel itself is fine. Breakfast is your typical eat-somewhere-else crap with horrible coffee, worst pastries, but there are other places to go. The nearby restaurant (Wildfox) is absolutely awesome, but I'm not here to post a review for a restaurant, which is not in the same building as the hotel. Noise level from the freeway is too high, most of the rooms face directly towards it. Expect a noisy room if the hotel is operative above 50% capacity. By default, that's what they'll give you, and you'll ask to be transferred if you're smart. If you're not from around here, know this: 101 is ALWAYS busy: 24hr/day, 365 days/year. You will never get a break from traffic. It really would not take much to make this a lovely place to stay, but the average noise level is just too high to justify anything positive. At this price level, I would expect something much, much higher.

Part of a special trip for 3 kids under 5, their parents and 1 grandparent; the Best Western staff very friendly and helpful. We had connecting rooms on same floor as the pool. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Ate at their restaurant -- delicious food and patient,helpful wait staff. Breakfast next day a step above most breakfast buffets. Hotel was a convenient mid-point between Point Reyes where we spent the day and Sonoma.

Every phase of our stay at the Best Western Novato was a delight. They rearranged rooms for us so we could check in early after driving all night. They supplied parking cones so we could park our truck and trailer together, gave is discount coupons for the restaurant, and gave us great local info for other places to eat. The room was great, the complementary breakfast was one of if not the best we have experienced. The check out was a breeze. We could not be more pleased.

I was here for a week for work. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, making me feel at home after a long day on the road. The room was large, the beds comfortable and the breakfast was very good. This hotel is not inexpensive but I felt that I got my money's worth. Compared to downtown SanFran, it is a bargain. There is a shuttle available to get to businesses in Novato. The workout room is a bit lame, but that is about the only thing I can think of to complain about. I would definitely stay here again.

We had an awesome stay. We wanted to have a weekend getaway with our son but was having a hard time finding a hotel last minute in other popular areas like Napa and Sonoma. I came across the great reviews for this place and also selected it because I belong to their rewards program. The front desk staff were very warm and friendly. The building was nice. We took advantage of the pool, hot tub and ping pong table. The breakfast was great. I really appreciated nice touches such as the 24 hour Starbucks coffee in the lobby and fresh cookies in the evening. Love, love, this place for our "staycation". I would definitely come back again for a quick getaway.

We loved our stay here! The lobby and the rooms are gorgeous. This is also a nice place to see wildlife. We saw deer and a family of quails right outside our window! This hotel is about 40 minutes from San Francisco (without traffic), which is where we spent most of our time. This hotel perfectly fit our needs and the staff were very kind and helpful. The pool area is lovely, and we got to watch a meteor shower from our seats at the fire pit.

We were heading home from a visit in Sonoma and was looking for a hotel between Sonoma and San Fransisco and close to the Marin County Civic Center. The Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn was an excellent choice. The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We decide to pick up some take out and just relax in our room. When we look out the window we saw some wild deer feeding just outside. Even the next day they were hanging around. Even if the deer were not there, I still would recommend the hotel. It was a great stay even if it was just one night.

My wife and I stayed here for a short overnight on a west coast road trip, but this hotel left me wishing we could have stayed there longer! It was a beautiful facility with very friendly front desk staff. Plus, it had 24-hour starbucks coffee available in the lobby, and very tasty cookies at check-in. We took our snack out to the beautiful backyard fire pit area, and for 7pm I was surprised that no one else was out enjoying the beautiful evening. We were even greeted by a handsome pair of California quail that passed through the garden terrace while we were enjoying the comfortable chairs. Our room was very spacious and had a nice view toward the bay from the balcony. The breakfast (including hot waffles) was good, if a little limited in selection, but it was really nice to be able to sit outside on the back patio again while we ate it. If we ever need to stay in the Novato area again, I'll definitely be looking to this property first.

There aren't a lot of places to stay in Novato. This is just off 101 with nothing except a Burger King around it. It is clean and has a nice pool. There are cookies at 7 pm. Breakfast is varied and free. There were little pre made omelets, waffles and burritos along with the usual offerings. Our room was in a separate building accessible through a breeze way. I'm not sure if there are rooms in the main building. Access to the building with rooms is with key only and access to the main building early morning and late at night is only with a key.

Stayed 2 nights as a part of our bay area San Francisco vacation. This hotel was a pleasant surprise as we usually stay with Hilton. Location is approximately 1/2 hour from SF, give or take a few for traffic. Easy access to Muir Woods which was beautiful. Nice area. Facilities were very nice. Clean room, decent size pool, nice fire pit and standard breakfast with good selection. Only downside is pretty small hot tub. One of the great parts of this experience was check in. Judy checked us in. She is a great ambassador for this area as she gave many suggestions and pointed out places of interest. She was genuinely excited to help us out. I love going there because I feel like a regular. It is easy parking. You can drive right up to the beautiful front door where you are greeted by a knowledgable receptionist. The rooms are large and well equipped with comfortable furniture. There is a large computer desk and good chair. I had a view of the oaks and another night a view of the pretty pool. The setting is lovely. I had trouble getting into my old version of internet; so, a young woman came up to help me at 11pm. She solved my problem. Everything was clean and new! I highly recommend it. The breakfast was huge, fresh and heathly.

The staff treat you as a valued member of their family. I have stayed here a few times and there has been no change in the high quality of customer service, the room cleanliness and comfort, and overall quality of the site.

Great place to stay with family on vacation. Nice hotel, well kept, great location. Can drive to Sonoma and Napa wine country or into the Bay Area. There is even a walking trail right behind the hotel!

The entrance and lobby are beautiful and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Room was nice and clean, small fitness room, tasty continental breakfast choices and a great hiking trail directly behind hotel. No complaints.

We stayed here with a tour group. The ladies who worked at the front desk were very helpful and answered all my questions. There was lemon water and warm cookies at the front desk which were soooo yummy. There aren't very many restaurants around to choose from if you have to walk. Our room was large, quiet and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again.

Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed visiting San Francisco from this very nice hotel. Nice, clean room. Don't like the air conditioner turning off while we sleep, but lots of hotels are turning to motion sensors now.

I have stayed in several name brand hotels in the past year and found this one to be average. Check in was average and the room was average for what I am used to. And I felt the price for what I received was exhorbatant.

Beautiful place with very warm and friendly staff. Judy was very helpful in always answering our questions. Breakfast was yummy. All the staff were professional. We would go back tomorrow if we could and just stay longer!

The staff was very friendly and helpful even when I checked in around midnight. The stay was extremely comfortable and clean. All items in the room (Bed, TV, etc) were up to date and worked very well. They offer a great breakfast station with tons of options.

We stayed here for one evening in May 2016. The staff was extremely friendly as we checked in, the room clean and spacious, and there is a very good on-site restaurant - the Wildfox - that serves good food and has an enjoyable atmosphere.

You can't beat the location and value of this hotel. Close to the wine country, Point Reyes National Seashore and San Francisco, without all the traffic and congestion. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. Located below a hillside full of oak trees, you will often see deer grazing right behind the hotel. Staff are warm and personable. The free breakfast has plenty to offer before heading out on your adventures. The restaurant next door, "Wildfox", offers great food with large portions and reasonable prices.

We wanted to stay at BWP Novato last night and the hotel was completely booked - as was literally every other hotel in the region. But Nadia and Amanda were so helpful and service oriented - they helped us find a solution and in a very short time. We are very thankful and wanted to let BWP know how excellent their staff are!

We booked our one night stay last minute. Staff is friendly. Rooms and surrounding areas are clean. 2 queen bedrooms have plenty of space and a nice little deck. Free wifi, plenty of channels, nice basic pool with a "bonus" deck area of comfortable outdoor furniture, ping pong table, fire pit and bbqs. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my family again.

Our daughter's wedding was July 3. Our party had reserved at least 35 rooms. The hotel was clean and inviting. The staff was friendly, incredibly helpful and personable. I brought "hotel bags" to be handed out and the front staff was accomodating. Our rooms were ready even early ( which met our needs for the festivities). The breakfast was fine and we were given a room to host our guests in. We couldn't ask for anything more. Wonderful service!

This is a very nicely appointed and well located place to stay. The desk and staff and the management are everything one could wish. The rooms are comfortable, clean and gracious. It's quiet and has a nice view out on the hill behind it. Not exactly a bargain price, but fair value. All this place needs is a better breakfast. The food is below its other standards -- and the mechanics of using the breakfast buffet are challenging to say the least. Most likely, we will continue to stay at the Novato Oaks for all the "pluses". The breakfast "minus" does not quite chase us away.

This was like a spa getaway experience. We stayed two nights and really didn't want to leave. Unexpected highlights included: - Beautiful golden California hill outside our guest room window - Western scrub-jays foraging on the hill each morning - Starbuck Verona and Decaf Verona just the way we like it - Heated outdoor pool big enough to actually swim in even though a young family of 5 was enjoying it also - Great business center - Real spinner bike in fitness center - Lobby suitable for conversations with guests - Although spendy for a BW+, it was a real bargain for Marin County CA

This is our first stay and we'll return every year as we make our western loop road trip and we'll plan to stay two nights. 10 reasons why we feel refreshed and love this place. 10. Crown moulding in the rooms. 9. Really interesting art in the room and in the common areas 8. A TV that allowed me to plug in my Surface via HDMI cable 7. An in-room recycling bucket 6. A fine breakfast with two waffle makers and these little quiche cups that were wonderful. 5. A great fitness room with a real spinning bike and a multi-function resistence machine that even I could understand. 4. A great hot tub. 3. A pool you can actually swim in: two different directions. 2. Our west facing room looked out on a wooded California golden hill. Beautiful. Quiet. No one there except for two beautiful jays we haven't identified. 1. Walker: All the employees have been great, but Walker really impressed us. He fills the roll of general maintenance guy and utility infielder. He was everywhere our first night. In the parking lot, the lobby, the pool area. He was always doing his job and always looking to be helpful. Always looking for guests with questions. Deserves employee of the week/month/year and a bonus. Here's a helpful hint. I hope you'll reward me with a helpful vote on the review. Ask for a west facing room. You'll face away from the 101 and toward the beautiful golden hill and maybe a pair of jays you've never seen before.

You arrive to friendly, informative staff and freshly baked cookies. Room nicely furnished and clean. Room provided basic convenience appliances. Restaurant short walk next door. Little to no freeway noise. Inviting pool w/spa. Enjoyed our stay.

We found the hotel very clean and nicely decorated. The lobby was well appointed. Our room was a very nice size with a private balcony. The hotel was clean with a great staff and good customer service. We used the pool and it was very well kept up men working on keeping it clean and in good order. The free breakfast was better than you get at many places. My sister lives in Novato so we for sure would stay again.

We stayed here during our last trip to visit family in Novato. We loved having use of the pool. The rooms are a decent size, and clean. Breakfast is included (from what I remember), and it has some good variety. We are returning this upcoming August, so obviously a good experience overall.

the free breakfast should not be used as a selling point by the hotel. the food quality was very cheap. for being right off of Hwy 101, it was incredibly quiet. the bed was comfortable I had a view of the hillside and heard birds tweeting in the morning. the restaurant across the parking lot was pretty good.

This hotel is a classy looking place just off the freeway between Petaluma and San Raphael. A BK and a restaurant are within walking distance, not much else. It's kind of an in-between sort of location. Plenty of parking and lots of inviting commons areas, including a great pool and business center. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and did a fine job of fulfilling our reservation requests. We stayed in an executive suite on the 3rd floor near the back of the property with a hillside view - Tranquil and roomy, with a mini-fridge & excellent complimentary wifi. The hallway, however, was very warm and smelled kind of like exhaust fumes. As comfortable as our room was, we found it difficult to keep the air fresh without turning on the AC, which in turn made it difficult to sleep. Can't comment on breakfast because we had to bug out early.

Chose Best Western Plus, mainly because of price and location. 6 people in my party. Needed more than one room, but could not afford to pay San Francisco prices. Family suite 2 bedbrooms, 3 beds, 2 bathroom was perfect. Only 30 minutes from Fisherman's Warf, just north of the golden gate. Got up, had continental breakfast, drove to Muir Woods, and Sausalito. Hotel is nicely decorated, beds comfortable.

Stopped into this Best Western Plus for a weekend getaway and a wedding in the area. The amenities are great, fitness room and pool were spot on. The view is okay, part of it is a parking lot for the King Deluxe room we had with whirlpool. The room service was a nice addition from the restaurant which shares the same lot, great happy hour and they'll even deliver beer and wine. We were probably one of the younger couples there. There isn't a lot to do in Novato itself but it has good proximity to wine country. The staff was great and helpful. Will come back sometime.

On our recent trip to the SF area, we stayed at another Best Western, at another hotel chain, and a B & B. Novato Oaks Inn was our favorite. It is clean, updated, and has large rooms which have mini-frigs. Our room had a large sink/vanity outside of the bathroom, which is nice when two people are trying to get ready in the morning. We got in late at night and a desk clerk (Nadia) rounded up a few snacks for us, so we didn't have to drive around looking for some place to eat. What a nice greeting. Our AC unit was noisy and they had a maintenance person there within 20 minutes to look at it. Breakfast was excellent and the man who worked there was helpful and friendly. As a matter of fact, everyone we came in contact with while we were there was professional, friendly, and made us feel welcome. They had some business meetings going during our stay and I could see why--it was a pleasant place. I would certainly chose to stay here again in the future.

I recommend this hotel. We were there for 2 nights and enjoyed it. It was clean and the staff is friendly. It's central location was great for our meeting that we were attending at the Pride Institute.

So, the photos of the rooms on the website def. look a lot better then the room does. The hotel is in a close location just off of the highway. The hotel was nice. Nothing super fancy. There is a continental breakfast included.

Stayed for a week; 1st room assigned had a cigarette smell to it, although Best Western has no smoking rooms. The smoke could have been sucked in from the corridor draft or someone broke the rules. I brought up my displeasure and Sharon, at the front desk, made an immediate change. My next assigned room was clean and comfortable. I gave an overall grade of excellent due to the helpful and professional staff I experienced. Kathy, Sharon, Judy and Lynda were very helpful in everything I asked, they were professional and delivered with a smile. Kathy always had a chipper good morning when I passed the desk on my way to breakfast. Judy and Lynda helped extend my stay. I have owned a restaurant so I am very aware of the business employees where I visit and maybe observe more than the average person. I'm critical but also fair and consistent. The do have a microwave in the breakfast area, but I recommend one in the rooms. I also recommend a maintenance sheet where the guest can leave notes on things that need fixing like a very slow draining sink. The hotel can't know everything. A little on the expensive side relative to my stays in Washington State, but I can't compare similar places to stay here locally. Good location; off and on the major highway 101....about an 55 min to hour to Oakland airport. Nice and clean hotel with friendly employees that went out of their way to make you feel at home. Great location with easy freeway access. Close to restaurants, shopping and other activities. We stayed for 4 weeks on a business trip and would highly recommend this particular hotel.

This was my first stay at a Best Western and I was very impressed. The hotel had a pleasing decor and the staff was outstanding. The room was larger than most, with a nice desk area, and the beds were so comfortable! The breakfast was abundant with choices, and everything tasted great! The staff at the front desk were welcoming and helpful; the room was kept fresh and clean; the breakfast area was kept replenished and clean. I was there 12 days and it was perfect throughout the stay. I've stayed at over 5 various hotels this year and although some would be considered higher-end, this one was by far the best as far as service and quality.

I made reservations the day before we arrived due to changes in our travel schedule. We were overjoyed with our choice: close to Interstate 101 but set back far enough to avoid the noise; very friendly and helpful staff; nice decor (reminded us of a boutique hotel near DC); excellent breakfast (one of the best we experienced); nice deck off the room; great swimming pool. Excellent quality restaurant next door to the hotel (filet steaks were superb).

This out of the way hotel is in a quiet corner of property sitting on a hill where you can see deer roaming. Property and grounds are well taken care of and the beds are "heaven". The staff are very professional and courteous to al travelers.

Just got back from a stay at Novato Oaks. Such a peaceful and comfortable spot, so close to great exploration. We wound our way over to Point Reyes one day and up to Sonoma the next. Easy trip into SF from here too. Spring for a King Executive room, balcony is a nice way to end the day on a summer day. Breakfast is adequate, includes waffles and fresh donuts. Our favorite place is out by the pool (large, with hot tub and BBQ) or up at the fire pit meeting new people. Close to home getaway or home base during travels, you can't go wrong here.

The staff at the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks is excellent and so friendly! Every time I stay they make sure my stay is perfect for me! The rooms are nicely decorated and always clean. The front desk is always friendly and helpful if you need something they make sure it is taken care of for you! I only stay at this hotel when I am in the bay area because of the service.

Stayed here for there nights while attending baseball games at AT&T and O.co stadiums. The staff was great, free parking and breakfast. Rooms were clean, even saw a deer on the way to the room one morning.

Ok everyone,this is a great place to stay. The location is just off the 101 ,but the rooms are quiet. The rooms are clean,and modern,and set up nice. Breakfast is good and the selection is great. Parking is ample . I can go on and on but to save time go to there web site. I will stay there again, the rooms facing the highway are quiet, but the rooms facing the hill in the back are really quiet. Great staff . If you are traveling North on the 101 this is a good place to stay because you are on the North end of the morning traffic which is going the other way toward SanFrancisco. Oh eat at the Wildfox ,next door one of the better steak houses in the North BayArea.

We were in town for a car shows and the staff was very accommodating for our truck and trailer. They coned off an area for us to park. We would recommend this hotel and we will be back next year for the same show.

Hotel has very easy access to Hwy. 101, yet the hotel is situated in such a way that it blends nicely into the surrounding hillside. Plenty of parking provided. The breakfast area is spacious, with usual variety of items available. Seems like there are hiking trails nearby. It's nice that they also provide a shuttle to the Marin Airporter bus that can take you back to the SFO airport. Many nearby fine restaurants and shopping centers. When I visit Marin County again in the near future, I will definitely make this my first choice.

I always stay here when traveling on business to Novato. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Wifi is strong and reliable. Breakfast has plenty of healthy options and good coffee. After a long day at work, the preserve behind the hotel is a lovely hike. Don't miss it if you have the opportunity.

Nothing majorly wrong with this property, just little things like the breakfast was good one morning and not as good the 2nd. No padding on ironing board. Access was a bit tough when your carrying lots of luggage. Upload speed on internet was slow. Mattress not centered on foundation. Again nothing major but when your tossing out $200+ per night you expect the little things to be taken care of. Staff was good and the room clean.

Great hotel, large and very well appointed, clean modern room, bath with double sink, and a great and very helpful staff. Only negative was that the restaurant would not allow me to do take-out for dinner. Parking was easy, and the hotel was well located to get to either San Rafael, plus it was a semi-easy commute to San Francisco.

We were needing a place to stay for a few nights between Petaluma, and San Rafael. The rate was good, and it looked to be a nice facility. We had great service, The bed was fabulous, the room had a balcony with a view to the east hills. And it ended up only being about 5 min south from the San Rafael Northgate shopping if you need something, and 5 min north to a grocery store and mall. Also about 15 minutes to some nice wineries.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Novato Oaks for one night while wine tasting in the Sonoma Valley area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Being a Premium Club member, we were afforded a room upgrade as one was available. The reception desk staff were very friendly and professional, the quality of our room was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was very nice way to start our day.

The property is well maintained, the staff is so friendly/feels like family and the breakfast each morning is over the top. The BEST ! ! ! The parking area is close and they provide a drive up area where you can unload items onto a rolling cart for convenience and there is a side button on the entry to automatically open the lobby doors. Very nice place. We have relatives in Novato and always choose "The Oaks."

A good hotel in a convenient location.. front of hotel has traffic noise. Good restaurant on the hotel site. Nice pool area. Very good breakfast buffet served from 6am until 10am . Helpful, friendly staff

I brought 90 people to stay here as part of a school trip to the SF area, and I could not have been happier with our experience. The manager Travis, and the front desk staff, were fantastic. As a trip leader, it can be stressful making sure that everything runs smoothly with such a large group, but Travis went above and beyond, was incredibly organized and followed through on everything we discussed. Our check-in process was streamlined and efficient, the rooms were great, our room blocks were well-placed, and the breakfast was just what we expected. I will definitely be bringing more groups here in the future!

used ADA room with 93 year old mother in law. excellent service and amenities all around. already made plans to stay again at Christmas 2016. North bound entrance to 101 from hotel is a little tricky so ask at front desk

Professional and smiley staffs at front desk, quick grab and go breakfast, plenty of selections including StarBuck coffee. Room is little dark with all lights on and curtain wide opened. Price is fair for this hospitality at this location. Will definitely stay again and recommended to friends.

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. I teach here several times a year and always enjoy both the setting and the friendly staff at this hotel. They were having computer problems with the credit card system when I arrived but one of the ladies helped me check in anyway as I needed to work on my presentation for the evening. They have a nice coffee bar in the lobby and an excellent breakfast with lots of selection. On the occasions when I have to leave very early in the morning before breakfast starts, they always offer to provide me with an early breakfast.

Nicest Best Western We've ever stayed at. Lobby decor was lovely. King Room with balcony, although facing parking lot, was very nice and private with trees. Location to Dominican University was excellent. Location to Marin County sights was excellent. Also not a bad drive to San Francisco or to the wine country. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Coffee was excellent. Rooms were clean, very roomy and beds were comfortable. Great value for the price. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Beautiful hotel! We stayed in a room with 2 double beds which had plenty of room. It had a fridge, microwave and a Keurig. I was very impressed with breakfast, which had: quiche, waffles, burritos, oatmeal with all of the fixings, juice, bagels, pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs. yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water.

Great stay in the Best Western Plus. Comfortable bed, well furnished room, and quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel near to the 101 but still secluded. Well deserved very positive reviews. Good restaurants in the area and okay breakfast.

I've been staying at this particular BW since 2006, one and off through out the year for all of my work and pleasure at Sonoma Raceway. It's big, clean, has a great restaurant across the parking lot, the race track is literally 15 minutes away, and SF is about an hour away. The GGB is 30 minutes north. If you needed a place that was half way to the City and Wine Country, this is the place.

Love staying here on business trips. Great breakfast, hotel is clean, rooms are nice, staff is friendly, Wildfire restaurant is great, gym is great, pool is great and the poolside fire pit is really nice at night.

The Novato Best Western is located off the main freeway where is it close enough to have accessibility, but not too close to create high road noise in the rooms. The beds in this hotel are simply outstanding, and you can be assured of a restful nights sleep. After that sleep you will be greeted by an excellent breakfast selection and courteous service from the hotel staff. A great place to stay.

We were very impressed with this hotel for everything except noise level. It is immaculately clean, the front desk staff is friendly, and everything seemed to be just fine until we got to our room. Apparently the children in the room above us needed to work off some energy, but the noise coming through the ceiling from their running back and forth was quite dramatic. Then some people checked into the room next door and the sound coming through the walls was so audible we could have taken dictation and never missed a word. Apparently when this hotel was built they forgot to add sound deadening in the walls, ceilings, and floors. Otherwise it was great.

We were looking to stay somewhere in the area and I found this deal on Groupon for 2 nights. It was a great price, the hotel was very nice with clean rooms and one of the best continental breakfasts we've had. Hot tub and pool were very nice along with a cool firepit to sit by and pingpong table!

This hotel was clean, the staff was accomadating, and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant connected was a little pricey, but the hotel is not too far from a mall where many different options are available for food. 10 minutes or so from the Golden Gate bridge

Wonderful place to stay if your traveling alone for a conference or training. I attended Marin Humane Society Training and had to attend training alone. No one else from my department could go. I felt very safe and well cared for while staying at this Best Western.

I enjoyed this hotel 12 years ago when visiting the SFO area and was pleased it was available for our stay this time as well! It is wonderfully located between the Redwood forests, beach areas, the city and Napa Valley. I felt very comfortable, safe and was pleased with the staff and the ammenities. I will DEFINITELY stay here when visitiing the San Francisco area in the future!

This place was so nice! We really had never stayed at a Best Western that was this nice. The staff, especially Judy at the front desk, was VERY helpful and the room was amazing! We were kinda sad that our stay was so short! Will definitely stay here again when going into the city!

The hotel, in general, is a nice hotel but I am extremely upset at what happened to me at check in. I was there for a memorial service, with reservations for over a month. At check in, I was informed that an earlier employee had let someone check into my room with no connection to my reservation. She had a totally different name but they gave my room to her and there were no more available rooms. They were calling around to other hotels and were actually going to make us go to another hotel when someone apparently canceled and we were given a room. They actually said we were "lucky" that something became available. As if we weren't under enough stress already. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and have never had this happen. I'm still questioning how someone can check into a room with a different ID, address, phone number and credit card than that with which the reservation was made. Extremely stressful and made us late for that evening's service.

Was in town for my husband's Celebration of Life, the venue recommended this and there were a total of 7 rooms rented. Everyone enjoyed their stay, the location was perfect - would highly recommend stay here.

While visiting family we have stayed at other places but found Best Western Plus to be the best and most comfortable. Everyone is so happy and helpful. We'll be back again very soon. The location is perfect for our needs.

I had read all of the terrific reviews before I booked this room. I was a little let down when I got there. Check in was weird, it was almost as though I had walked in on the middle of something. When I was bringing my suitcase in after check in, the girls opened the door automatically for me and the door pushed me off of the step, the door opens out. OK, accidents happen and they were trying to be nice. My room faced the back of the property. My view were some weeds and a chain link fence for the pool. The room itself was OK. Clean, small, but comfortable. The bed was OK. Breakfast was OK.

friendly and clean. comfortable. easy to get to. staff is excellent and nice. we got in late due to plane delays and front desk allowed us to leave our car in the short term parking since we were leaving for the business course early the next morning. location was convenient to Pride Institute. it was quite. didn't get to use the pool due to all the rain. nearby restaurant was nice but didn't have chance to try it. highly recommend to stay there.

We were extremely impressed with this hotel. We were there for a week and not once did we experience a staff member who was not friendly and helpful. Always greeted us with a smile and a hello. The hotel was very clean and a nice breakfast with many choices. We have family living in Novato and we are so happy to have found a place to stay that meets our standards and gives us opportunity to be with our family and not underfoot. Keep up the good work!

I was very impressed with the decor and the overall experience. The rooms felt like a luxury home and were very cozy, which I find unusual for most hotels. I loved the balcony with the beautiful lush views. I look forward to booking again soon I hope!

Always a nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, very nice breakfast with many choices, affordable. While it is close to H101, the room is quiet. Bed very comfortable. Our first floor room even had a nice patio with chairs. Coffee maker is a Keurig, coffee too. They have Starbucks coffee always available.

I truly enjoyed my time spent at Best Western, the pictures didn't do the hotel justice. The staff was very inviting and accommodating. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. The bed was beyond comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was super clean and the shower's water pressure was perfect. Overall, the best hotel experience I have had.

Our flight was late into SFO and we were headed to Napa Valley. This was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay along Highway 101 on the way to Napa Valley. We took advantage of the restaurant Happy Hour and had a great dinner. Rooms were attractive and the bed was comfy. Breakast provided lots of healthy & tasty options. Easy & enjoyable stay.

This was a great hotel with a great staff. The batteries on the television remote were bad, which made it hard to turn the television on and off and change the channels, but that was the only drawback.

Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Best Western in Novato. Clean room, easy check-in/out, nice staff. Will check-out fitness room next time. May recommend this as an option for budget conscious Sonoma visitors - it's further away (another 30-40 min to the first winery) but should be considered.

Only stayed one night but was very satisfied with hotel. Very clean and good location for visiting wine country and San Francisco. Excellent presentation of complimentary breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed several nights at BW+ Novato Oaks for our recent visit to the Bay Area. Location is nice with very easy access to hwy. 101; unfortunately, this meant there was a bit of road noise in our street-facing balcony room. Aside from the road noise, we didn't hear anything from neighboring rooms (unsure if they were occupied). The balcony looked out onto trees and was quite lovely. The hotel itself is broken up into several different buildings, and I think building 1 (where our room was) may be the oldest. The hallways leading to our room—and the room itself, unfortunately—smelled rather musty upon each initial entry. Even so, everything was tidy and it's easy to see that the proprietors have taken great care in updating furnishings and decor so it appeals to contemporary sensibilities. Moreover, the room featured plenty of charging ports/plug-ins, which is convenient and surprisingly lacking in many mid-range hotels. I wish there was a rating between Average and Very Good, because I think that's where this hotel would fall. Friendly staff, nice breakfast spread, comfortable accommodations and convenient location make it a solid choice, especially if you can get a deal on a travel site. Still, I think we would thoroughly explore other options before staying here again.
