Sure Hotel by Best Western Muenchen Hauptbahnhof

Hi This hotel for the price was perfect. The rooms are cleaned daily. We had a room for 3 and room for 2. No tea/coffee facility in the room which would be nice. Reception and Manager very helpful and spoke good English. The location is perfect next to train station and walking distance to the old town. Also a delightful pub/restaurant a few doors down. Pros: Close to the train station, tram stops and Lufthansa express buses that take you to the airport; also close to Marienplatz, Cons: No air-conditioning, tiny rooms and bathrooms, old building, and some rude staff members. It was in the mid-80s (Fahrenheit) when we were there, and our room was hideously hot. Opening the window didn't help because it was very loud outside. Zana, one of the employees, tried telling me that the government doesn't allow AC, but that's not true because our hotel in Berlin had AC. She told us she'd send the technician up to fix the flickering life in our room in half hour but no one showed. Another employee, Halimi, wouldn't let us charge a bottle of water to our room and wanted us to pay in cash. We didn't have change, so he didn't give us water. Walter, the manager, was nice, though. He let us change rooms and gave us two fans to keep our room cool.

It's difficult to write a review when most of the problems weren't really the hotel's fault. The building works across the road weren't exactly something they could control, and neither was the fact that the weather was approximately the same temperature as the surface of the sun. Unfortunately, because the room had no air conditioning, we had to sleep with the windows open. This provided complimentary access to the hourly tram service, which kindly operated as our overnight alarm clock from dusk till dawn. The room did have a small cooling unit attached to the window, but it had about as much cooling power as a hamster running on a wheel while suffering from asthma. In fact, I suspect that very same hamster was also responsible for powering the shower, which produced all the pressure of a pensioner blowing through a straw. The room itself was a little dated. By "dated," I mean if you scraped back the wallpaper, there was a fair chance you'd uncover a Roman mosaic. It's so old I'm surprised the History Channel hasn't turned up to film a documentary. On the positive side, the staff were excellent: polite, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was perfectly acceptable too. I wasn't expecting a royal banquet, and there was enough variety to cater for the different nationalities staying at the hotel. Overall, most of the issues weren't the hotel's fault. Would I stay there again? Absolutely not. But I wish the staff and their hardworking hamster all the best.

Helpful staff but no airconditioning and old tired rooms. Bathroom last renovated over 10 years ago. Impossible to get the right water temperature mixing 2 stiff taps. Excellent location

Looking for an inexpensive and conveniently located hotel, we found this one. As you can tell by the name, Sure Hotel is just about hundred meters from Munich Central railway station. AND Lufthansa bus from the airport stops literally in front of the hotel entrance! Hotel itself is pretty basic, but there is nothing to complain about either. The breakfast was not included in our "deal", which caused some confusion among the kitchen staff, but eventually it was alright... Right next door there is a tiny shop/kiosk, where you can get drinks, snacks and so on. It's less than 10 minutes walk to Karlstor and another 5-10 to Marienplatz along a lovely pedestrian street. This hotel is very good value for your money, if you don't expect something "wunderbar"!

I stayed at the Sure Hotel by Best Western München Hauptbahnhof for two nights and overall had a very pleasant experience. I booked the hotel via Trip.com and stayed in a single room, which was clean, compact, and perfectly adequate for a short city stay. Everything was well maintained and tidy, and the room had everything I needed. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its excellent location. It's directly opposite Munich's main train station, which made getting around extremely easy. I arrived from the airport on the Lufthansa Express bus, which conveniently stops right outside the hotel—a huge plus after a flight. The hotel is also surrounded by shops, cafés, and restaurants, and it's less than a 10-minute walk to the Old Town, so sightseeing was effortless. Check-in was smooth, and the man at reception was very friendly and welcoming, which always makes a good first impression. Breakfast was included in my rate. While the selection was a bit limited, it was perfectly adequate to start the day and everything was fresh. I paid £61 per night, which I felt was very good value considering the central location, cleanliness, and convenience of transport connections. Overall, this hotel is a great option for solo travellers or short stays in Munich, especially if you want to be close to public transport and the city centre. I would happily stay here again.

If you want to live central in Münic and have ease access to communication, I really suggest this hotell. The room was a good size and had everything for us, well cleaned. Can be a bit noisy if you live facing the street, but we weren't bothered by it and slept well anyway. The breakfast could have had a little more variety on the table and made sure things didn't run out. But overall, staying centrally and having helpful staff is highly recommended.

Good value and clean hotel well located opposite the main station with easy access to the centre of town. Nice breakfast room and plenty of food. The male staff were really pleasant but the two ladies on reception were rude and unhelpful. Beware Booking.com style request for early payment by SMS message was a scam and I had to cancel my card!

Receptionist one of the rudest I've ever encountered. Could not believe the way she spoke to me being a customer. Hotel dated. Good location but would recommend the two hotels just down the road instead.

Great Location, Nord Exit from Munich Central station. best of all, 10 seconds from the Hotel entrance, are stairs down directly to the S Bahn, stations under ground shops, and all trains. we had to leave our luggage, as arrived early morning. on return our room was only ready at 15:00, when officially you can check in. check in was quick. two nice sized working lifts. we were on the 3rd floor, looking out onto the main street / station. only could hear the trams, Room was a good size, we had a Twin room. Clean, no coffee making facility in our room. bathroom ok size, need to take care when using the shower, as floor can get wet. Breakfast was Okay, eggs, ham , cheeses, pastries. Booked for One night, as we went to see Bayern Munich play. we arrived late back to the hotel, around 23:00. felt safe. Perfect location for the match. about 45 minutes travel time. there are tram stops by the hotel, takes you into the main tourist area. all in all, good one night stay, and would recommend, especially if going to the Allianz stadium.

Comfortable bed.Close to train station and Lufthansa Express airport bus just outside. Please note that there are currently very few shops and food stalls in the Hauptbahnhof but you will be able to get water, other soft drinks, filled rolls and some baked goods. There's a small convenience store near the hotel and a takeaway and café quite close to it where you can get pasta, pizza and other international dishes. My only concern, was that the floor of shower cubicle in my room was very slippy and needed a non-slip mat. The floor of the rest of the bathroom was fine.

If you are travelling by trains in Germany/Nearby region of Munich by train and want to catch an onward flight from Munich, this is the ideal location. This hotel is situated right in front of Munich Hbf and the Lufthansa airport express leaves to airport from right in front of the hotel. Otherwise, the hotel has most basic amenities. No luxury items, but cleanliness is good and you get a good night's sleep. No kettle for tea or coffee is provided. But the breakfast was very good. Most important is location. everything is within walking distance (S bahn, U bahn, restaurants, important points etc.) overall, it was worth the price

Good location, vut comes with bad service and overall experience. Staff was unfrienly, just continued talking each others and ignored us waiting for service at the empty reception. All the sounds from next door neighbor could be heard through the wall.

Old hotel, situated on the main road, not very clean. On check in I asked for a room at the back of the hotel because of the noise from the steer below. I was told that the room we had been allocated was at the back, this was not the case. Very small room, the air conditioning left a lot to be desired and impossible to sleep with the window open as the noise from the street below was unbearable. The water from the taps was disgusting, brown water that definitely was undrinkable wouldn't even boil it to make my tea. The hotel lets lots of men drinking out of cans sit on the steps of the hotel, had I'd been on my own and not with by husband I would've felt very unsafe. They were shouting all night long so that along with the traffic noise, was dreadful. The sink in our room was dirty with hairs in the sink. Would not come back to this hotel if they paid me.

It's a great hotel, right by the train station on the S subway. It's easy to get to the Christmas markets and Bayern games. Buses to the airport leave from in front of the hotel. The Hotel is next door to a small market and restaurants. They also will hold your luggage for you before and after checkout.

Conveniently located across the road from Munich central station which is ideal for a bag dump and explore. We were able to put our luggage in the luggage store as we were too early to check-in. Electrical valuables to be handed in behind reception for more secure storage and you are provided with a ticket. It is an old style building with an old fashioned appearance from the front. We did not include breakfast with our booking but was told we could take a peek of the buffet style breakfast in the morning and if we liked what we saw we could pay €14 pp at checkout. Reception staff were responsive and happy enough to help with guidance. Our room was on the 6th floor with lovely views across the station sky line. These rooms do not have aircon and due to the hot/humid weather the room was unbearably warm. Windows can be opened widely with no safety features so high up and a fan was in the room but made little difference being so humid. Bathroom was old fashioned and tired. The shower was a tray with a curtain which meant water flooded the bathroom floor each time which had caused damaged to the flooring. However, you can tell this is because of the age of the building. Basic ameneties provided; TV, fan, tea/coffee station, bottled water, body wash. The hotel to me had a hostel feel to it but was fine for one or two nights exploring Munich on a budget. Traveller tips: ▪︎ Just up the road (3min walk) you can catch the Sightseeing hop on/hop off buses (x3). For €29 you can take 3 different bus routes, each 1hr long, seeing all the main sights and areas of Munich including the old town, Olympic Village and museums. Great if exploring Munich in less than 24hrs and includes audio tour (headphones provided). ▪︎ The train from airport is direct and takes approx 40mins. Catch the S28 train. ▪︎ The Rathaus-Glockenspiel is a large mechanical clock located in Marienplatz Square and only operated 3 times a day. Check times to plan your day but 5pm most popular.

Air conditioning was very bad, super hot nights as we couldn't get the room cooled with the small unit in the room (hidden behind the curtains which we discovered AFTER the first very hot night ). Very small shower and tv didn't work. Staff was very nice downstairs and great location,

Great value for money in a v central location. Not the prettiest part of town but right next to S train & main station. Pleasant & courteous staff and at a great price too. 200 characters required apparently for this- I wasn't planning on an essay submission

The most positive is the location It was extremely hot with no airconditioning Bed was good Breakfast was basic but good I would stay again but only if there are no major events as the price was higher then normal and I did not think it was worth the price

I was only at this hotel for one night. There was no AC (somehow I missed this, maybe I just expected anything by Best Western to have AC) but they did have a fan in the room. However, it was really brutally hot. For some reason my floor sloped dramatically--maybe they added plumbing and didn't want to add a step but there was a good 8 inch grade change in the room. The room is definitely older and due for an update. However, the location was superb. You could walk in fairly straight line and reach the Rathaus, which is nice. The main train station (hauptbahnhof or hbf) is pretty literally across the street. This means you can catch your train anywhere else with ease and also can use the subway stops quite easily. This is pretty user friendly. Everything you might want is right nearby--shops, restaurants, quick food, transport. You don't need a car. So I would give it a 3/5. It's pretty average, uninspiring on the inside, but the location makes up for a lot.

Terrible hotel, mold and dirty in the room, smells so bad and dark. Front desk staff is awful, never ever live this hotel even though they are next to train station. They don't have AC either. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clean room, nice bed. The room faced the central station, was worried the noices from the street would disturb my sleep, but no. Closed window and a small AC did the trick. Breakfast had what I wanted, no extras, but ok. Coffee out of machine was not so good.

This is a decent hotel with a great location for onward travel by train, bus or plane.Our room was clean and well provided with a coffee machine and bottled water.We slept well despite being on a busy road.Very happy with our choice and the service provided.

We stayed here for a night just to prepare for our trip the next day. The location was good as it was just across the street from the Munich Central Station. The bed was very comfortable and no complaints for a short stay.

We did not feel safe in the vicinity of the hotel and would not recommend or return. Great location for tourist attractions, and a cheap price, but not a great area or facility. Inside Communal Areas e.g reception, are cleanish, but tired with dort in corners and on seats, tables left uncleaned, etc.. Inside Rooms, basic, small and partially cleaned. Our bins were not emptied each day, and water bottles only replaced for 2 of our 5 nights. The rooms are extremely noisy, sounds from the street can be clearly heard from the 5th floor, including conversations on the pavement!! Pipes click and clang loudly with the heating system activation from 6am each morning, and the cleaners have absolutely no regard for their guests sleep and clang and bang from early on. Sunday morning of our stay one example included the cleaner banging the vacuum cleaner nozzle on the walls and floor presumable to clear a blockage. This went on for 15 minutes from 09:10until I hand to go into the corridor covered by a towel and show my distain. Outside – whilst the location is great for local attractions and the city centre and train station. It is terrible for homeless, and displaced people. There is a lot of very intoxicated, drunk and clearly unwell people all over the place, including sleeping on the hotel entrance steps. We were harassed several times entering and leaving the hotel, and witnessed passers by on the pavement also being harassed, to the point one lady and her child were physically challenged and grabbed by two drunk/high men that could barley stand up. Terrible and we felt unsafe, especially in the evenings when it escalated.

Great location, walk straight out of the main train station in ca. 7 minutes. Clean, refurbished rooms, perfect little bathroom with towels & hairdryer. TV has +30 channels. Breakfast costs extra, 2 elevators work efficiently. Only Reception missing a bit of a refresh.

If you plan to travel across Europe on trains, this hotel provides great value for money being less than 5 minutes from the HBF at a wonderful price point. The rooms are not that big, but if you don't plan to stay in your room, it really doesn't mean much. All the necessary amenities are also within 5 minutes distance.

Horrible experience, we booked through their own website, it was a prepaid room therefore we were charged again once we arrived, despite we showed the prepaid voucher, the frront desk girl.didn'T mind , she was so impolite and rude.

Stayed here on my last night in Munich. The hotel is located next to the train station with the airport limousine bus (Lufthansa) right outside. It's 1-2 stops (10-15 min walk) to the city center. The hotel room is dated and needs updating. The double room was large. The lighting in the room was updated with small LED lamps but were not bright enough for the room. The tv has many channels and the WiFi worked fine. The bed mattresses need to be replaced as they were too soft. Our room faced the main street so you can hear some noise from the street. The room insulation wasn't very good so you can hear people in the hallway. Unfortunately, our room was in front of the elevator on the 2nd floor. The bathroom was large but the shower was odd. The shower was an oval shape with a shower curtain so water could splash out if you're not careful. I paid about $100 for a night stay. Not cheap nor expensive. I'd probably look for a better hotel even if it was further away.

Non functioning showers and we skipped that during our short stay. Room clean, but with basic amenities. Pillows are very flat and not helpful for a good night sleep. Towels need to be replaced. These are not acceptable even for one star hotel. They are off white and terribly worn. The pluses: location!!! So conveniently located! This is a huge plus. If your focus is on location for the purpose of exploring the city, do not hesitate to book. We walked to the hotel on the day of arrival and day of departure, we walked to Marienplatz and did our touring on foot. If your stay is short, you may consider this. If you plan on having a long stay, make sure that you voice your concerns on the first night after inspecting the room; don't wait to report on the next day so that you can enjoy your stay, opt for a superior room and request a replacement of towels if you are not satisfied.

It'd be great if the staff would give instructions to gtheir colleagues. I had expressly told the reception that my husband would be arriving later and reception were unwilling to let him check in and use the room

We booked queen room, but got the smallest tiniest room with a three quarter size bed! When I complained, they said it was because I booked online. The hotel staff were rude, the breakfast basic. Only good thing is that it is close to the train station. We asked the front resk for assitance booking a taxi, and the person who pitched was not very bad driver with loud music blaring, and he charged us double the rate for a short distance! Why are they not assisting us with reputable taxi drivers? Not a very good experience at all.

Sorry about the delay in this review. I arrived alone after a river cruise with my girl friend who had to leave early o I took the Amawaterways bus to Munich. I was not ready for check in, but the staff took care of my luggage. My only problem was getting my room open! Anyway, the staff was great and helpful. Breakfast war sehr gut. I enjoyed walking around the area and managed to get to the university and see the major events there to include the Platz named for the Scholl martyrs. I would like to return. Wiele Danke.

The only good thing to say about this hotel is that it is across the street from the Main station in Munich. Extremely small room with no Air Conditioning. Breakfast was nothing special and the attendants are like vultures getting room numbers and signatures for payments if breakfast is not included in your stay. Breakfast attendants walking around with unlit cigarettes in hand go out and smoke then come back in and I did not see any of them wash their hands before going to the food area. It would be better if Best Western did not associate with this hotel.

Stayed 4 nights, great location next to the hauptbahnhof and a 10min walk to the marienplatz. Clean and comfortable rooms, only draw back was no aircon so was very warm. There was some noise from outside but it's very central so to be expected but didn't keep us awake. Staff were great, we arrived before check in and as our room wasnt ready we were able to store our luggage and get out and explore the city. Fab stay and would use again

Pro : walking distance to the Main Station and famous travel spots like oldtown hall and so. You can save up your transportation cost if you stay here. Cons : the matress a bit soft. No sound proof, you can hear the surrounding guests.

The staff was friendly , helpful, and fast. The best was large and the room very clean. As an American we aren't used to sowers this size, and that's is the only downfall of the room. No place to st my shave kit while getting ready. The train was just out our front door, so very easy to catch. I had breakfast in the hotel and it was exceptional. I'd stay here again.

Mad rush at check in due to a football game. Took long to check in. My prepaid confirmed double room of 22sq meters specially booked in advance was downgraded to a queen size room of 16 sq meters. I had a written confirmation but the hotel didn't accept it. I paid €120 extra for the bigger room but still got the downgrade and not even an apology from the hotel or change of room later. They mentioned Agoda gave them a booking for a queen bed small room. Makes no sense cause my confirmation still shows double room with a photo of the double room. Breakfast is OK with limited vegetarian options and nothing hot that is vegetarian. I asked for a plain slice of bread and was informed that only rolls/ buns and croissants were available. This was strange cause first day they had slices of bread that we could toast. Strange ! It is very easy to get disturbed due to doors being thin with people walking by / opening or closing their doors. The hotel proximity to the Lufthansa Express airport bus is only 2-3 meters which is great and also the Central Station just across the street. The toilet is small but good water pressure and hot water which is so nice in the winter time. If they had done something to make up the room downgrade to me, I would have felt better but now I know for future that prepaying for a higher room is pointless as you lose money by getting downgraded and hotel says to talk to the booking partner. So booking vouchers have no meaning at this hotel - beware.

Basic but suitable accommodation. I had a single-twin room. It was very small, but clean. Wifi, lights, and all aspects of the bathroom functioned fine. No A/C. The lady at reception was very nice but a younger, dark-haired man was very surly and twice hardly responded to my greeting. They stored my baggage before and after my stay though it's not secured. Anyone can just go in and leave and take their bags. It's very conveniently located to public transportation. The main train station is right across the street and the Lufthansa airport bus leaves every 20 minutes or so. There are frequently people of all ages standing or sitting at the entrance of this and other area businesses, drinking alcohol, even early in the morning. It wasn't pleasant but they didn't bother me. Marienplatz is about a 20 minute walk. Several grocery stores are nearby. It wasn't special but I would stay again.

We just stayed one night in Munich on the way to Austria, the hotel was perfect for our needs, basic but had everything we needed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. 2 minute walk to train station which was great.

On our second night, an intruder entered the building and began knocking and banging on our door impersonating a cop. This man was trying to force himself into our room. We had to lock ourselves in and contact the police to search the hotel. During this time, the receptionist was not at his desk and the door to the hotel was unlocked! On top of this situation, management has refused to acknowledge this situation and are refusing to provide a refund the 4 nights that we did not stay within the hotel because of fear for our safety. This was a terrible and frightening experience. I will never ever recommend this hotel and advise everyone to avoid this place at all costs.

Overall a reasonable place to stay but nothing to get overly excited about. Room was relatively spacious considering location (Munich main train station) although the bathroom (especially the shower) was a little cramped. Hotel was pretty clean and front desk service was reasonable if you had a question or two. I think this hotel is a good choice for the value oriented traveler.

Sure Hotel By Best Western Muenchen Hauptbahnhof is close to the central railway station Hauptbahnhof, also where you can find the different Metro lines & S-Bahn. There's Lufthansa shuttle bus to Munich airport which stops right outside the hotel. The hotel is average, i thought it's by famous Best Western brand but i was disappointed, we had a double room, which was very small, but it was cleaned daily, nice housekeepers. The breakfast room was big, they have many varieties of cold cuts & cheese, They do not have card keys, just normal metal keys that needed to be deposited at the reception when going out & have it again when coming back. Staff were very kind & helpful, always smiles.

Great location if you're switching between the train and the airport. Lufthansa bus stops right outside the door. Room was clean, tho room and furnishings were basic. We were on the street but noise wasn't too bad.

Really good hotel for modest budget. Located next to DB Haufbahnof Train station. There was a tram stop right in front of the hotel. It's easy to use public transport in Germany. The hotel is close to Marianplatz, St. Peter's Church, New Town Hall, and Munich central bus station from where you can take flix bus. Breakfast was included. Good and reasonably priced eateries nearby offering vegetarian and vegan food options Sim card was available at a shop next to the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Sure Hotel By Best Western Muenchen Hauptbahnhof is very close to the central railway station ("Muenchen Hauptbahnhof"), the metro, and the shuttle bus to Munich airport stops right outside the hotel. I was at this hotel for four nights, and the experience was totally disappointing: - my room was very small and with an antiquate bathroom - there was no air conditioning in the room - there was good insulation from external noises, but no insulation from other rooms noises: toilet flushes from nearby / above rooms were clearly heard - the moquette on the floor of my room was very dirty, and it didn't get cleaned during my stay - the moquette in the breakfast room was also very dirty. They do not even have card keys: just old-style metal keys that needed to be deposited at the reception on going out and retrieved again on return. Breakfast was OK, but some items were repeatedly missing or finished, and it was necessary to request them. Staff was just OK. I will never come back to this hotel, and I will never recommend it to anyone else.

Hotel is near Munich main train station- just cross the street (5mins away). There is also a short cut to the train station when you exit the hotel; turn left and down the stairs to reach the underground train station. Hotel room was slightly updated, spacious and clean. To take note there is no air-conditioner available in room; but the weather was cold and we manage to sleep through. Their daily breakfast spread that we ‘must eat' was their baked croissants! Overall a pleasant stay at this hotel for its location and price.

poorly maintained rooms with dirty and stained carpet, the room constantly smells of sewage coming from the toilet. the toilet had cracks, the maid did not clean the glasses in the room, the room is very small, the TV takes only a few channels and all in German, room service non-existent, the breakfast really poor and of poor quality. hotel to be redone starting from the carpet which is the nest of all infections.

Location is excellent, just across from the Hauptbahnhof. Room was very clean, breakfast was basic but good too. Even though room is facing the street, we have no problems with noise, friendly reception staff

We stayed here for four nights during Oktoberfest. For me the main selling points were the proximity to the train station and the fact that it's only about 20 mins walk to the Oktoberfest site. Our room was on the main road but I didn't find it particularly noisy. The room was a good size and seemed well maintained.

The best thing about this hotel is it's convenient location. Directly across the street from the Haptbahnhof, there is a tunnel entrance two doors down from the hotel. Also, the Lufthansa Express bus to/from the airport stops right in front of the hotel. Although the S-bahn may be a Euro or two cheaper, there is not beating the convenience and ease of this bus. The best thing about the hotel itself was the reception people. VERY nice and helpful. Forget about getting into your room early. It ONLY happens beginning at 15:00. The room was average size but clean. Occassionally getting really hot water was an mild annoyance, We will stay there again.

Checkin with a young woman from Frankfurt went smooth and friendly but while we were there we overheard a condescending talk between what seemed to be the managing woman and two guests who couldn't opne their rooms with the keycards. Our room was tiny and facing the train station which meant loud noises all night every night. Breakfast was very basic and definitely not worth 17 EUR extra. Just go to one of the bakeries. Parking was kind of a nightmare. The parking house is very tight and even though you pay half the standard rate per night quite expensive with 15 EUR. During checkout we got a stamp on the parking ticket and the advice to call the operator of the parking house IF the automat tries to charge the full 30EUR, which it tried, of course. Luckily the operator I got hold off was very easy to talk too and helped without any issues.

Good basic clean spacious rooms with fans supplied as a heatwave was occurring when we stayed. No A/C. Breakfast was plentiful, served in a smart clean dining area on the ground floor. If you are on 7th floor the lift only goes to the 6th. Staff on front desk were friendly

Friendly staff. Pretty small, clean, modern room with bathroom and TV, no air conditioning. Excellent if all you need is a place to sleep and shower, certainly if you want to get around using public transport. Nearest entrance to railway station is 20 metres from the front entrance of the hotel. Reasonably priced.

If I could I'd give this hotel 3 1/2 but that's not possible and it's not quite a 4. If I were reviewing the staff alone then it would definitely be a 5. The hotel is across the street from Muenchen HBF (Central Station) so it is conveniently located and it is in central Munich. We arrived early in the morning on a flight from the US and were greeted by a wonderful front desk clerk from Eastern Europe, I can't remember her name. She advised that check-in is at 3 and gave us tags to store our bags in their storage area, I was concerned that it was unlocked but being right in front of the front desk it wasn't a huge deal. I asked if early check in was possible for members of Best Western Rewards and she advised that yes, but since Check Out is at noon to come back then. She paused and checked and advised us that they had a no-show the night before and that they did have a room ready for us on the second floor which we greatly appreciated. She advised us the hours breakfast is served and that it's €9.50 per person which I thought was a bargain, especially when we saw the buffet with plenty of hot and cold options. I definitely recommend breakfast at the hotel because there are limited choices in the immediate area. Also, being a Best Western Rewards Member she gave us a card for two drinks from the fridge in the lobby which included sodas, juices, and beer. Be sure to bring an adaptor so you can plug your phones and electronics in to an outlet as none of the three hotels we stayed in this trip had any US outlets in the room. When I asked another young lady at the front desk if they had adaptors, she was unsure but gave me a box of left behind cords, etc. and I found one in there. The room was small with two single beds which is customary in Europe. We quickly realized there is no AC in the room. I later checked the website to see if it mentioned this and while it did not specify there isn't AC it didn't mention there was either. If that is something you definitely want, make sure the listing specifies Air Conditioning. My Mom requested a fan which was delivered that afternoon and that helped. There is a laptop safe in the closet and enough room for our short two day stay. There was a complimentary liter of water in the room and it was replaced each morning during cleaning. The second day it was carbonated though, which was okay with me. The curtains allow light into the room when closed so if that wakes you up bring a sleep mask. The room was clean with the exception of some rust stains underneath the radiator in the bathroom and some other small stains in the bathroom floor. The shower is tiny, if you have ever been on a cruise it's about the size of a standard cruise ship shower. It is also very slippery so be careful in there. There is a shower gel/shampoo dispenser in the shower. I prefer separate shampoo but that's okay. The beds are firm but surprisingly comfortable and I had zero issues sleeping in fact I slept very well. While the location is very convenient if you are using the subway, trams, or traveling by train within Germany or Europe, there aren't very many restaurants nearby. The hop-on hop-off tour busses are a couple of blocks away. I had forgotten a case for my contact lenses and we arrived on Sunday, be forewarned nothing is open on Sunday in Munich, not even drug stores. As I mentioned the staff from the front desk, to the breakfast staff, to housekeeping are fantastic!

We rented a family room for 3 people for a total of 5 visits. We were put on the 7th floor, which we thought would be no big deal since they have an elevator. However, the elevator only goes up to the 6th floor, and my father has difficulty walking. This made getting to the room a challenge. The only other issue we had was the water pressure in the toilets is TERRIBLE. We could not even flush our "mess", let alone toilet paper. When we called the front desk about it, they instructed us to just mash up our "mess" with the scrubber brush. You can get a much better room at the Connection hotel a few doors down for an equal price.

So, we went to this hotel for a stag do. The room was small, quite a bit of hair in the toilet and shower from the previous occupants and the radiator was rusty. The shower was shocking and my hamster can pee faster. However, the staff were helpful, the bed lining was clean and overall it was ok. For the price, I'd probably go back again but I know there are better hotels in Munich. This felt more like a hostel with an ensuite rather than a hotel.

Stayed in this hotel March 2022. It has everything a traveller to Munich needs: Close to the train station and about 5 minutes walk to hhe city centre. The rooms where small but very clean and cosy. The only negative I can say was that the shower was not the best but still did the job. All the staff we spoke to were extremely friendly and helpful. If we return to Munich we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We liked the hotel a lot! It's located closed to Train station, all city attraction not far away, lots of restaurants and shops around. Hotel is modern, stuff very friendly. Our daughter and dog felt very welcomed and happy. Breakfast was tasty, fresh and big choice. Soundproof of rooms is good and beds are comfy!

Location is good, opposite main train station with s bahn u bahn trams and buses. heaters work well. water pressure on 6th flr triple room is ok but bathtub is really deep so climbing out is abit problematic if you are short. not very clean, stains everywhere but at least no bed bugs. beds are ok, mattress spring type, not very firm. pillows are dismal so best to bring ur own. shower n shampoo are 3-in-1 type. 2 lifts, the smaller lift works well but the larger lift is a bit erratic. set your expectations right and you should be quite happy with the stay.

We stayed at this hotel in October. Location is simply perfect - right in the center, directly near the train station. You can walk to the pedestrian zone with its shops and restaurants just in 3 minutes! Perhaps, our room was not very large, but we had come to discover the city, not the room :) The hotel was good value for money, the staff was friendly and breakfast was excellent!

I made a good faith booking with the hotel but when Munich moved towards a lockdown they did absolutely nothing to help me with cancellations and refunds. They insisted on holding 90% of the payment while the pandemic is ongoing. Their concern is money, plain and simple, not the guest or the experience. If you're looking at staying here, remember, they won't help you when things are tough.

This is very much a budget hotel. The type where you have to leave your old fashioned metal key in a bin at reception and where your neighbor might have a dog staying with them. The pillows are absolutely terrible. But everything else is pretty much what you'd expect for a hotel of this price range in this location. It's a good bang for the back.

Zana is a STAR ! She was working at the Reception when I was checking in with numerous people in the queue but was always smiling and doing her job professionally. She efficiently cleared all the work smoothly and continued smiling ! Very impressive. Deserves a promotion.

Hotel is perfectly situated opposite the main train station with an S-Bahn entrance literally next door. For location, I cannot think of many hotels better in the city centre. This hotel has recently been refurbished and as such feels very cotemporary. The rooms are clean, ideal for a short stay although a little small. The bathroom in a single room is tiny and although everything worked, it did feel a little cheap with a shower curtain rather than a screen. Another criticism of the room was the heat and noise. As my room faced onto Arnulfstrasse, it was impossible to have the window open at night despite the room temperature being uncomfortably warm. It might be worth requesting a room at the back of the hotel if possible. Breakfast was included in the price I paid and had a reasonably good selection of meats, cheeses and jams along with cereals, fruit and a limited hot selection. My only criticism was that the staff in the restaurant seemed to lack a little warmth. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and were happy to provide a fan for my room. Would stay again
