Best Western Hotel Muenchen Airport

We ended up here after EasyJet cancelled our flight whilst at check in 🙁 so we hadn't selected the hotel but it turned out great. After having a poor experience at a Novotel in Munich this was far better. The rooms were cool, had lots of space, the breakfast was tasty and the staff very helpful. There is a therme spa nearby that is worth a visit too.

Delta put us up here, after our flight was canceled. It's over 20 minutes from airport and over a $50 taxi ride. So on my own, I know there are places closer to the airport. But the rooms are clean , quiet & comfortable. We walked to the Stadpark, about 20 away, but otherwise not much around hotel.

First of all, the family “suite” is not what it is advertised as online. This is probably the worst hotel I've stayed at. Other guests were loud and partied all night, this happened 4 nights in a row, not ideal with a child, no one got any sleep. Also, they advertise a bar online but it was only open one night, not acceptable. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.

The Best Western hotel is the name of Best Hostelling service in Pakistan from several of years. The team proven that they are the Best in the Town and field.

El pasado día 25 de mayo tenía reservada una habitación por la empresa, llegamos por la tarde, dos compañeros y yo, cada uno con su habitación reservada, decir que estas reservas las gestiona una agencia de viajes contratada por la empresa, cuando llegamos por la tarde, como decía, hacemos checking, el chico que estaba en recepción nos dice que la habitación no esta pagada, le avisamos que es la misma reserva, le enseñamos los papeles de la reserva y del pago y dice que bien, la sorpresa viene por la mañana, nos levantamos a las 4:30h para salir hacia el aeropuerto y al ir a dejar la llave me dice que tengo que abonar la habitación, le enseño la documentación de la reserva y la factura de la agencia y me dicen que no les sale, les decimos que miren bien y su respuesta es, o pagamos o llaman a la policía. No creo que sea esa una respuesta, lo normal es que miren y comprueben donde esta el error, por eso, no recomiendo este hotel, ni para una noche. la habitación la pagamos nuevamente, por no discutir y por no perder el avion. On May 25, I had a room reserved by the company, we arrived in the afternoon, two colleagues and I, each with their reserved room, to say that these reservations are managed by a travel agency contracted by the company, when we arrived in the Late as I was saying, we check in, the boy who was at the reception tells us that the room has not been paid for, we let him know that it is the same reservation, we show him the reservation and payment papers and he says fine, the surprise comes from the Tomorrow, we get up at 4:30 a.m. to go to the airport and when I go to leave the key, he tells me that I have to pay for the room, I show him the documentation of the reservation and the invoice from the agency and they tell me that they don't get it , we tell them to take a good look and their response is, either we pay or call the police. I don't think that's an answer, it's normal for them to look and check where the error is, that's why I don't recommend this hotel, not even for one night. We paid for the room again, for not arguing and for not missing the plane.

The most expensive hotel room in an obscure location. Room was tired and old but television was new and Wifi good. Check in staff claimed room rate didn't include breakfast had to produce booking to prove it did. Breafast selection limited and hot buffet items luke warm. Not up to usual BW standard.

We were sent to this hotel by Lufthansa after they cancelled our flight. We of course weren't happy about needing to stay here at first, but the staff ended up making the night one of the best experiences of our whole trip! Florin, the bartender, was hilarious, friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant to talk with. When he found out we were on our Honeymoon he even provided us with a glass of champagne. He ensured we were happy and recommended places for us to go if we had time. The food was also delicious. We were so happy to have met Florin and the rest of the amazing staff here! Would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Stayed one night and not expecting much. This hotel failed even that. Bad smell in the room, no soap or shower gel. Cleaners banged the room door 7am and tried to enter room. No English explanation given why this behaviour. I would really appreciate those few hours rest but not gonna happen in this hotel. Breakfast was there but again staff is rude. I'm sorry I disturbed yoyr business by visiting, that will not happen again.

Bad hotel, No Ac varm rooms , this is where Lufthansa are sensibel their guests when you have missed a flight. No tootbrush No proper breakfast….avoid if possible. Bad Smell, No safe way of keeping windows open. A hotel that Lufthansa uses to nu sure you Will nerver come back.

Old crappy hotel from the 70s. Very much in need of refurbishment. Parking is not free. Street parking is free, but the self service cellar cost €8. 4 stars, really is 2 stars. Carpets everywhere, and smell is not to our liking. Not worth coming back to. Not a good representation of the Best Western chain.

We stayed because it was close to Munich airport. It's about a 20 minute drive from the airport. We booked directly through the BW website as we are members. The thing to keep in mind is this is a transit hotel, NOT any form of luxury. The staff were fine getting us settled in the hotel. The rooms are basis, very basic, so dont expect much. The rooms we had were like dorm rooms. The beds were end on end, not side by side. They are nothing like what the website and the hotel shows. Don't know where they got they photos from, but nothing like the rooms we stayed in. The bar opens at 5pm and it has the bare minimum available. Service was good and the beer cool. The bathroom was tiny. The shower was tiny and the doors did not close all the way so the floor flooded. Both the room and the bathroom were clean. The breakfast was a scramble. Grab a table when you can as the restaurant was absolutely packed to overflowing. The buffet breakfast was okay. Everything was on offer, but had ran out of the hot items. Trying to get a good coffee was difficult though. The machines only served espresso or milky coffee and the container with the filter coffee was empty and was not refilled. The hotel is close to an industrial area and directly across the street from a games hall. We were told we could park on the street for free, which we could, but because of the proximity of the games hall, we stumped up the 8 Euros for the hotel underground parking. A one night stay is suffice for this hotel. Using this as a base I would not recommend. If you have a car, I recommend eating in town, there are numerous restaurants to choose from.

Not good at all... We stayed over an night at this hotel because ours flight got cancelled and Lufthansa booked this for us. It's the worst hotel I've ever been to! The rooms are sooooo hot with no AC, the shower are so small even me who are pretty tiny thinks it is to small, it's so un fresh in the whole room and it stinks. The mat on the floor is really gross and you can hear everything outside. The hotel is in a industrial area(?!) When we arrived to the hotel the staff were pretty un nice to us, and they seemd to have a problem with us or something(?!) And we got there in late afternoon so there was no food. But they served raw(?!) chicken that was bleeding out of it when you cut in it, or they served raw tortellini. When we asked if they could bring the chicken back into the kitchen to make it not to bleed the did it, but when they came back with it was still bleeding, ( just to mention, to eat a raw chicken that is bleeding can cause dying sickness). And then we sent it back again and they just rolled their eyes in front of us. (So un nice!!). And the hotel is not near the airport! It takes Like 40 Minutes just to get there. I'm not recommending this hotel!

Just heads up warning that the rooms are NOT like those pictures. Beds are unmade and the room was freezing. The bathroom shower barely drained and was so tiny you could hardly fit. Carpet looks like it is original from the 1980s. Had to request all toiletries as there was no soap nor shampoos in the room. I was put up in this hotel by the airport as they canceled my connecting flight. The “dinner” covered by the airport and provided at the hotel was tolerable but not enjoyable. The city is 30+ minutes away and would cost $$$ to leave the hotel with no other places to visit nearby. On the positive, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice.

Nice and clean hotel. Driving time from and to the airport MUC approx. 20 - 30 minutes. Underground parking available - only EUR 8,-- Rooms are clean, not so big, but ok. Breakfast = EUR 15,-- AND GREAT with cook to order and special created Marmelade - not jam. Great experience. Dinner in the hotel - try to drive 15 min. in the town "Erding" with local food etc.

Hotel is nice but location is not really something what you expect from "airport hotel". Biggest problem is transfer between airport and hotel. On the website it says "transfer service. Nominal fee". Reality is that the price for the transfer is same as for taxi which is almost 40€ / person. Hotel is good if you are going to visit the Thermal spa but for one night on business trip it is not really best and that is only because of the transfer service.

It was'nt as close to the airport as we thought(20min.) The room and ecspecially the bathroom was small for the $. Their redeeming quality was the breakfast($16) buffet close to downtown Erding with some nice restaurants and brewery.

I had a good stay here while travelling for work. Rooms are cozy and equipped with all essentials . Location is good too. Warm, helpful hotel staff always willing to ensure a good experience for the guests every time. Hotel shuttle/cab facility can be availed which allows hassle free travel. Good proximity to airport and train station. Hypermarkets in the vicinity. Good food is a plus. All in all, decent experience.

Dinner and breakfast is not more than a snack. Rooms are spartan and providing basic services. At least it is clean. Not a 4 stars at all, price is eccessive. It is mainly used by Lufthansa to host guest with delayed overnight flights.

Had to stay here for one night as a result of a delayed flight. When I walked into the hotel I noticed that the lobby looked nice, but the air was extremely dense. I didn't think much of it until I came into the room, where it literally felt like a sauna, it was probably about 25 degrees celsius. The floor of the room was also dirty with nasty marks. It was no AC in the room, all we had was a little old fan, so the air did not get any better. The location of the hotel is nearly 20km away from the airport, so I wonder how they can call it an airport hotel. The hotel is also 40km away from the city center, so if you have a couple of hours in the morning until your next flight you are basically stuck at either the airport or in the hotel lobby. Probably because of the location, none of our cellphones got any service. The wifi codes we got didn't work, so we had to go down again for a new code, this one worked OK. Do not stay at this hotel if you don't have to, the whole vibe feels like a horror movie. This is one of the worst hotel experiences i've ever had, especially since it is marketed as a 4 star hotel.

Do NOT stay at this place!!! This hotel is NOT 4 star hotel-there is no AC in the room, it's outdated and bathroom was dirty and moldy -they will rip you off with additional 70 euros just for shuttle charge (35 euros each way from and to the Airport) I booked this place since I had 10 hour layover in munich assuming I could get in and out easily-it's located 10 miles away from the Airport and they don't have shuttle available unless it's reserved separately -I ended up standing outside of the airport for 1.5 hours till midnight trying to get the shuttle to pick me up! Staff was not accommodating -shuttle driver was straight up rude!!! Do not stay here!

We missed our connecting flight back to Vancouver and the airline issued us accommodation tickets plus meal at the Best Western Hotel. When Lufthansa issued us the accommodation voucher they must have advised the hotel how many rooms and how many passengers are waiting for service. We also assumed that the hotel to be very near the airport, but it turned out to be about thirty minutes by a minivan for eight passengers when there were about thirty at the open bus station outside the airport. It began to rain and none of us had any umbrellas or raincoats because our begs were still with the airline. We missed the first van in the scramble, and managed to get on the second minutes later. It was thirty degrees outside, but our room had only a standing electric fan, and the electric boiler had no lid. Asked the staff for change, we were told to wait until the next day.

We were only here overnight and although there is not much around the hotel, including the airport, it was very good. The room was comfortable, clean and the breakfast next morning was pretty good. If we hadnt drank enough at the beer hall in Munich, we made up for it at the bar and the waiter was kind enough to give us all a tab, as he had trouble keeping up with us all.

The hotel is called the Airport hotel, but is really quite far from the airport, in an industrial area. Worst of both worlds. The kitchen is not of a good standard, luckily I did not need to eat there much.

A fair budget hotel suitable for an overnight stay. Close to a large recreational spa. Two built -in beds reminded us of a school hostel. Continental breakfast was adequate. Showers in rooms well equipped. Red Baron Restuarant in complex provide good meals.

great bfast, walking distance to Therme, only issue was our AC which sounded a buzz every 3 mins, they tried to fix/move rooms for us but it couldn't be done, lucky its not summer, other than this its a great place, we will stay again as long as we get a room without noise issue.. well priced for what u get, we come from aus so its a great stop over in between family catchups! Well priced as u get bfast, therme and accom all in one.

In the middle of nowhere, crap hotel that invoices you 380 euros for a tiny, noisy room, without breakfast! never ever again. The beds were 2 single ones setup like in a gloomy dormitory. The corridor door keeps banging all the time... Shame on you Best Western.

I took two twin rooms, Both were very small with diagonal ceiling - claustrophobic. Nothing like the photos. This is NOT a room fro two person - maybe for two backpackers, but not for that price. The bathroom is tiny and entering the shower requires some maneuvers. Getting out of it is scary. TV located behind the wardrobe - slightly hidden from the bed. Except the above the room was clean the breakfast (for additional 15 euro) is good and the stuff is friendly.

Nice sized clean room. Free parking was on street. Garage cost 8 euro. Was quoted 35 euro for shuttle to airport. Restaurant in hotel had limited buffet dinner only at about 25 euro. Quite a distance to airport. Staff friendly especially in restaurant. Bar area looked active. Served purpose for nights stay before flight

Hotel is located relatively close to airport. Arranges transportation to airport for 32 Euros per couple. Clean room at reasonable price, though breakfast is 15 Euros. Good breakfast for one morning, then walked short distance to McDonalds. Fifty minute U-Bahn ride to Munich.

The staff were extremely helpful in moving my room to one with aircon and in other ways. Big negative is that the Hotel is far from the airport. Add Euro 40 for taxi fare from airport to hotel and Euro 32 for shuttle from hotel to airport, i.e. add US$90+ to cost of room (w/o Euro 15 breakfast). Also, aircon was defective and I had to turn it off so that an intermittent buzzing would end.

We like to use Best Western since Platinum when we can. Got good service. The rooms could use updating but were clean and we were comfortable. No air conditioning so may be hot when warm nights but has a fan and window opens. Has a pant press in deluxe room. That might come in handy for some people. The second bed set in the deluxe room is a pull out couch. Has a desk too.

Booked this hotel because we have early flight the next day. It was about 15 mins walk from train station, there was no street lights and it was already dark. We got pretty scared walking with our suitcase. For safety reason, I will prob not book this hotel again unless they have services to pick us up from train station. Besides that, the hotel room is pretty clean with a lot of space. The common area is full of people because there are no other places nearby to hang out. The hotel do offer shuttle service to airport for $16 per person. It was great that they were really on time.

the room is very bad and smells a very bad .. and the reception are not helpful and very rude .. i never faced such a person is not helpful and giving wrong information about restaurants.. and when asked to meet the Manager was respond to show me he name .. that behavior of a person do not care of the guest in the hotel and she does not care about her job or her manager .. and they try only take your money even when i told her just give me the room i am tired and was flying for 14 hours .. and you have my card .. she looked at me as if telling me get out of the hotel .. the manager of the hotel should act right about that .. and hotel is far from airport .. they have misleading information on the hotel on booking .com and other site look to other guest what they say .. i was wrong just i booked that hotel as was tired

I have to stay overnight in Munich airline give me this hotel and free dinner and breakfast when I arrive it was only bread no hot food disappointing the room was one person claustrophobic under the roof No it's not the place to stay for fun

Very nice good help nice restaurant Mc Donald and pizza restaurant 2 blocks. Bus stop 550 I block away. We had a blast a last and filled up on Earring beer.easy train to all over Munich area.they do charge 15.00 for shuttle to airport. Had socket on big tv each night.

I booked this based on the name as I has a 24 hour layover in Munich. The hotel is very far from the airport, and they have no courtesy shuttle, so be prepared to pay 30 Euro each way and factor that into your decision. Aside from the extremely misleading name, our room had no air conditioning. It is in the middle of an industrial park with no restaurants - or anything else for that matter. The only good part about staying there was that it was only 1 night. For the same money I could have stayed in Munich and been as close the the airport as this sad little inn.

Good hotel close to Erding and close to munich too with the train. My bedroom was under the roof and was quite hot! only one window, that needed to be closed otherwise too warm (clim is efficient, sun light is better :) ) I used to have better bedroom in the past. Breakfast is always very good and complete! (6.5 euros for me - I saw some at 15 euros)

The hotel is still quite far from the airport although the name suggest it is very near. It is in a small town and there is little around the hotel. Still it is excellent value, with very good room and very good service. Parking is free on the street.

We didn't plan on going to this hotel. In fact, we didn't plan on being in Münich at all, but as we missed our connecting flight due to delays in the previous one, we got stuck here and Lufthansa put us in the Best Western for the night. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong that day and the Lufthansa people did nothing to improve their reputation for customer service. Needless to say we were not in a great mood when we arrived at the hotel. The night clerk (Stefan we think) probably saw this on our faces and was highly efficient and effective with the check in which lasted less than 5 minutes. He was very accommodating as we had to ask him for our phones multiple times, who were charging at his desk. Thank you for making our **** day a little less ****. The rooms were decent enough, the beds were better than expected and the breakfast was really nice and had a lot of choice. So when you get stuck in Münch, you might as well get stuck at this hotel. At least you'll get a good night's sleep and a decent breakfast.

Just stayed there one night as stop by for Munich airport. Fair rate (to be in the airport nearby). Internal restaurant. Not tried the breakfast. Nice fitness room in the cellar. Clean rooms. Nice personnel at the lobby. I had under-roof room. Good access to restaurant in Erding at walking distance as well walking distance to the thermal baths. Shuttle for airport. 30€, every hour, it takes about 15/20 min.

Try this Best Western Hotel located 30 minutes from the Munich International Airport. There's a shuttle to the airport that you can book in advance for a fee of $15 euro per person. The breakfast buffet has an excellent selection of American and European cuisine choices. The rooms are nicely decorated, the wifi connectivity is good, and the beds are comfortable. There is an excellent dinner buffet provided for a fee, and the bar is well-stocked with a variety of wines and liqueurs. One note: not all the rooms are air conditioned, so be sure to check on that before you make a reservation. There are windows that can be opened to cool the room at night.

Dear All, Firstly, the rooms are comfortable and mine was pretty spacious. But never got internet access. Not asked if I wanted the password either. Final but, this is listed as an airport hotel, as such to pay 30 euro for a shuttle was a tad excessive. Also there was no way of setting up a pick up from airport. Also now clear signage either.

I had to change my usual place to stay in erding and forced to go to BW. The ratio quality / price is disappointing. This hotel has category **** but not at all at the right level. The room for me was extremely small and arrow. I paid 172 euro with breakfast u. I am still wondering why.

It seems most room has one bed under the attic. At first I was worried I might hit my head when I woke up in the morning but everything was alright. If you leave the attic window open in the night, must watch out for rain water falling into the room. Hotel provided kettle in room and breakfast was fabulous. We loved the honeycomb for the bread.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night. I was charged $298 Aus for a single bed in the smallest room I have ever been In. A taxi from the airport cost €38 and the shuttle from the hotel back to the airport was €30. At these prices I would have been better staying at the Hilton which is right at the airport. The hotel is located a long way from the airport and a long way from any shopping at Erding.

It's a good hotel near Munich airport. We were offered it by Lufthansa, when our flight was delayed because of weather condition. Rooms are small, but clean and well equipped. Bathromm is small, but OK for one night stay. Breakfast is very good, witch is rear for small German hotels. S bahn is on a walking distance if you have time to go to downtown.

The hotel is fine. We were flying out of Munich the following day so we weren't there long. The hotel's name is Best Western Hotel Muenchen Airport. Well it's not very close to the airport! The hotel has a shuttle for 10 Euro a person. But beware that the shuttle only goes to Terminal 2. So if flying out of terminal 1 you are on your own getting to your terminal. Fortunately the shuttle driver took pity on us and went ahead and dropped us off at Terminal 1. Overall the hotel is fine. I would stay here again.

Visited this lovely hotel with a work colleague and we were other disappointed with any aspect of our stay. All staff from reception to the waiting staff were very helpful, nice and polite. The rooms are lovely and very clean! The breakfast was very nice and they serve some nice beers too! We cannot fault any aspect of the stay whatsoever. Recommended!!

This hotel is "Airport" in name only. It is misleading to call a hotel "Airport" which is actually six miles out in the country. We had to spend 36 Euros to get to the hotel by taxi, and another 30 to get back to the airport by shuttle. To top it off, we were given a room in an attic with a sloping ceiling. My son hit his head on it getting out of bed. Breakfast costs extra, so we did not get any. My suggestion is to pay a bit more and get a room in a hotel which is ACTUALLY at the AIRPORT.

I spent two nights here. The hotel is located in the middle of no-where and it's not very near the airport either. The old town is not within walking distance so you need to take a taxi to go out for dinner. The room was okay and so was the breakfast. No a choice I would make.

For the price you do not get much, Just a room to sleep, mini tv , mini bed , tv awkwardly located and a free bottle of water, no ac, safe available and relatively clean. Restaurant is average. A bit noisy especially if there are groups.

Awful hotel, massive queue to check in, had to wait ages at the airport for the shuttle. It's not even near the airport. We were put up here as we missed our connecting flight with Lufthansa. We didn't have our luggage with us and were told toiletries would be provided along with a meal and drinks. There were no toiletries in what can only be described as a hotel room out of the 90s. The meal provided was a few pieces of meat, cheese and bread laid out on a table in the hotel lobby. All the people checking in at the same time due to missed flights were all queued arpund the food table like vultures. The walls in our hotel room were paper thin and as other guests got up to get their onwards flights I was constantly woken up by their own alarms. Worst nights sleep I have had in a hotel room. This is definitely not a four star hotel!

I got accommodated at this hotel because my LH flight was cancelled. The hotel is about 20-25min drive from the Munich airport. There is a free of charge shuttle from/to the airport every hour, starting at 5am from the hotel. The staff at the reception desk was friendly and prepared to handle the big number of guests arriving at once. The breakfast starts at 6am (or 6:30am?). A petit déjeuner (coffee, juice, croissant) was organized for the guests who had to leave earlier - may be this extra service has been requested by Lufthansa because of the flight cancellation. The hotel is at a quite location away from the noise of a highway or the airport. My room was clean however the air inside was sticky until I opened the windows - obviously they have not been opened for several days.

Stayed here on a layover , top tip hotel transport finishes around 2330 , and don't do what I did and take Lufthansas word that will come, I waited 40 minutes and nothing, 25 euros later I was met by a grumpy unapologetic receptionist. The hotel is tired and could do with a upgrade. The rooms are hot with no AC. Given that it is clean and the bed was comfortable, The barman was superb and served me up an awesome huge pizza and a beer which was very much welcomed. The breakfast was fantastic and vast , the reception staff in the morning were lovely and really helped me out. All in all it was one night and apart from the transport and the miserable night reception guy it was fine.

Airport hotels are not for vacation. And this hotel is ain't deferent. Nice, small hotel near Munich international airport, clean, comfortable, good service. The airport transportation is not cheap. So if you need a place to stay before your flight- it's recommended.

I had to stay at this hotel on June, 19 for one night because Lufthanza airlines made me lose my flight and offered a night here. It's the worst choice for an exhausted traveler that one can only imagine. Hot, stuffy rooms and NO AIR CONDITIONER! I mean it-- the room was hot as hell! The receptionist brought a fan which was awfully noisy and produced no air at all! Mosquitoes in rooms! I have never had such a bad sleep at a hotel in my life. All the rest was mediocre ( it's definitely not a 4 stars), apart from the meals-- both dinner and breakfast were excellent. But food in abundance is not a priority for a deadly tired person! Dear Lufthanza! If you make your client lose their flight you are OBLIGED to provide: - an appropriate place to sleep! - a basic set of personal hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton pads, slippers etc) because (what a surprise!) a person who books a 6 hour flight does not usually intend to spend a night at a hotel on the way! To provide this minimum, it doesn't have to be a 4 stars. Having read other comments l realize l was not the first to have had such an experience at this hotel so l presume both Lufthanza and the hotel management are well aware of the clients' feedback. So this level of service is a real shame and lack of respect to the clients. Don't reply you are sorry-- you are not. For those who will be offered Best western hotel at the airport in Munich -- do not agree.

The pros: cold A/C, pleasant front desk staff & close to the airport. The cons: huge reddish stain on carpet in the middle of the floor (see picture), foul smell in hallways, halls & reception area very warm, last night of our vacation and we were put in room with two twin beds that could not be placed together & told no rooms like we reserved available. Overall: We would not stay here again or recommend it.

the hotel is not far form the airport with a good shuttle service rooms are standard meals are either in self service or à la carte depending on the day I had an excellent asparagus soup and then a risotto with gambas and asparagus not typical bavarian but ok for the season

We chose to book this hotel because of its proximity to the airport, about 10 minutes by car. The hotel also features a shuttle service. we were greeted on our arrival at 6 PM by a tired and somewhat surly receptionist who was very particular about how we completed the registration form, asking for more information than the form had lines for, and brusquely stating that we had to prepay for our night's stay (did not encounter this anywhere else). When we asked about parking she said anywhere in the street that it is permitted. The hotel itself is in an industrial area, with an inhouse restaurant and only one other restaurant within walking distance (Italian, no English spoken). The inhouse restaurant was better than we expected and the breakfast was good (11€). The carpet in the hallways was dark and funky smelling and the air in the hallway smelled of cigar smoke. The room was clean. The pillows were comfortable. The shower, in a stall about 18 inches above the floor, with inward swinging doors, was a DEATHTRAP to exit. Both my wife and I experienced a scare and a strained hip getting out of the stall (and I knew what had happened to her!). I would not choose to stay in this hotel again.

The young woman working at the front desk was so rude. Not the start to a good stay. Interestingly someone else at dinner mentioned her bad attitude. The rooms are clean but a little small. I ate in the restaurant at the hotel. The pork medallions were so tough both of us who ordered it could not cut them. It was just a hunk of tough meat not medallions at all

Not so near to many key locations. Good 30 mins drive from Airport . Have one common kitchen. OK hotel to stay for few days. Breakfast was good. Have a bar inside. There was an McDonald's nearby and few supermarkets. Train station is a km walk from here.

Visited this hotel back in 2011 and there has been no noticeable improvement. Poor wifi coverage, expensive bar and restaurant and limited parking. It is a "Best Western", but you would never guess. The staff was very friendly, however, and the Italian restaurant around the corner was nice (although it was the only real alternative to the hotel offering. If you want a hotel close to the airport, look for something closer to the airport. It's a good drive from this Erding location.

I must honestly admit, I had no choice but to stay here when I missed my connecting flight and Lufthansa booked me this hotel 'close to the airport'. What Lufthansa means with 'close to' seems to be quite subjective as the hotel is located at a 20 km distance from the airport. When arriving at the hotel it is clear to see that this hotel mainly thrives on stranded guests. They arrive in packs. Dinner and breakfast was included as well. Well... don't expect too much. Dinner wasn't more than a small snack and breakfast is just something so you would have something in your stomach (small croissants and some juice or coffee). The room itself was small, but okay. Only issue I had, was that the noise that the crowd in the lobby makes can be heard. (Bus shuttle service to the airport start from 4 am, then 5 am, and from 6 am every 20 minutes)

Great place to spend your days! Rooms are clean and comfortable to sleep. The breakfast is great too with lots of choices and price is good! The staff really nice and helpful... I spend time with my friends there and we all had fun! I'm going to comeback in the future!

Hotel locates in city of Erding which is about 30 minutes from airport. Hotel offers a shuttle service but do not tell that it costs as much as taxi service. Price is 28 euros. Hotel has high price also for the stay, standard price 105 euros without having any fairs at Munich. Then again breakfast is not included with this price which is 15 euros. No other BW hotel has this kind of pricing and quality. The hotel is not much more than normal Gast house in Germany. This is a true rip off.

Hello, 3 night inside this hotel, quite place, close to erding and close to Munich too (could take the train, train station at 5min by car). Bed room are well furnished, bed is nice, just be careful, it's 2 bed and not one big bed. Breakfast is very good with minute omelette, and lot of choice, for a good price. I will surely come back in the future.

I stayed here for more than a month. I felt one of the best hotel in erding .The staff was really helpful and provided lot of assistance. Really enjoyed my stay here. Breakfast was awsome and plenty to eat, they pampered us ;) !!!

The hotel was located close to the airport and had lots of free street parking. The rooms were clean and so were the hotel grounds. The wifi was spotting and the breakfast was 15€ per person so we did not try it- seemed to us to be a little overpriced. Overall a good stay.

Dreadful place!! Staff are rude. We booked this hotel because it advertised a guest laundry but on arrival they were very unwilling to let me use the laundry. Internet spasmodic .... kept losing connection. Room not restocked with tea/coffee for second night. No ramp outside to wheel in suitcases. Rating: 3/10. Would not stay again.

First things first, this hotel does not look so good from the outside. It's also a bit of a stretch to call it an airport hotel. But, once inside it's totally different. The staff are amazing, really couldn't be any more helpful or friendly. The dining room is nice but the food is great. I almost had to roll myself out after eating so much. Everything just screams to be tried. The bedrooms are simple but spotlessly clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my very brief stay, perfect for business travel where the facilities are more important than the surrounding area.

15 minutes from the airport, not too expensive (105 euro) but you will have interesting surprises. shuttle is not for free both on the way from the airport (14 euro) which I could at the limit understand - also on the way back you have to pay 14 euro per person!!!!! If you are with other people you may end up paying a nonsense amount of money. The Hotel itself ranks 6.5 out of 10 with a dwarf sized shower. Definetively not recommended.

This hotel is a perfect distance from the airport and exhibition centre, with safe on road parking. It's clean with friendly and very helpful staff. Will definitely stay there again. Would recommend hiring a car as its in a very quite area. With only a McDonald's and a lidl within walking distance. Free wifi and compliments in each room was also a nice touch.

As other reviewers have said, this hotel is about 20 mins away from the airport with nothing around it. For our purposes, this was a selling factor. We travelled with 33 high school students and 5 teachers, so not having anything by the hotel to entice students to sneak out at night is a huge plus for us. The rooms were clean, some were a bit 'faded' but no big deal since we only went there to sleep. The breakfast was awesome! Customized, cooked to order omelettes, scrambled eggs, bacon, breads, fruits, yogurts, veggies- no one left hungry. Staff were friendly and spoke English quite well. Free wifi in rooms and hotel in general. All in all, a great experience for our group.

Summary: This hotel is decent enough with a certain amount of peculiarity and charm. The location, however, is way too far away from MUC to be labeled an "airport hotel". That's a bit deceptive. Nonetheless, the rooms are more than adequate, the staff are very polite and notably helpful and the morning breakfast is good. The room rates are not unreasonable all things considered. Details: I had flown into Munich and needed a place for one night. In looking through my options, I found this establishment on the Best Western website. BW is a brand in which the properties vary quite a lot and one is never quite what to expect. But the prices of the alternative hotels were rather expensive so I decided to give this spot a try. I am also a BW Diamond member so I tend to be quite willing to give properties in this family the benefit of the doubt. Usually, I am not sorry for doing so. I arrived rather late and, much to my chagrin, found that it was a 20-minute or so taxi ride to this hotel. The fare was €40 (about $43 USD at the time). This perturbed me a bit and took away a little from the value I was getting. However, this was the only real negative. The hotel appearance was pretty simple and a little unusual with respect to architecture. The location was a bit strange as it was in a utilitarian light industrial complex. It was not the type of place that one would really expect to find a hotel. It was not necessarily a negative for me considering it was a one night stay. But there were no real amenities around it and only a McDonald's down the road as far as walkable dining options that I could find. I think for a longer stay it would not have been favorable. The interior of the hotel was certainly nice enough. The lobby area had a cozy feel but there was a comfortable sitting area beyond the counter. I was checked in by a very pleasant gentleman. I found the staff to be very efficient, friendly and helpful during my brief stay. This, in fact, outweighed the negative of the location which otherwise would have dropped my rating to an "average". Upon arriving at my room, I found it to be reasonably spacious with an interesting layout making best use of a slanted ceiling. The work area was adequate with enough room to use my laptop along with some writing space. The WiFi worked well during the time I used it. The bathroom was decent sized but not much more. The fixtures worked without any issues. The view from my sun windows in the slanted ceiling was of the other part of the hotel across the courtyard. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the surroundings were quiet allowing me a good night sleep. The morning breakfast offered in the spacious Red Baron Restaurant was buffet style. It included hot items such as eggs and sausage as well as breads, yogurts, fruit, etc. I found it to be more than adequate and well priced at €15. The checkout experience was particularly noteworthy as I found the staff to really shine. The front desk attendant was very pleasant and efficient. She called a taxi for me at the time I specified. While I was waiting for my time to leave, I sat in the lobby area. I was offered a coffee on the house. Between this, the check-in and the restaurant experience, I felt like I was treated very well. The room rate was not bad for what I got. My bill including tax for my lodging was €138. This was about $148 with the exchange rate at the time. I thought this was a pretty reasonable bargain. Overall, this is a good hotel choice if you need something that is not too far from MUC. However, I would be hard pressed to define this as an airport hotel by my perceptions. The taxi ride is 20 minutes, give or take, and costs €40. The location is in a rather odd spot where one would not normally expect to find a hotel. The facility is nice enough, however, and the rooms are adequate. The staff are outstanding and they really constitute the best part of the hotel. They are very accommodating. The morning breakfast buffet is quite good and the room rates are not unreasonable. This place is really a pretty good bargain and suitable for a short stay in the general vicinity of MUC.

It is good place to stay if you want to finish your business meetings without entering Munch city and if you are flying in and out overnight. Even its good for transit if you have few hours to rest, though it is 15 KM from airport and they can send you pick up (for me it was 25 Euro one side) but i guess it depend upon your deal.

I will preface this review by saying Lufthansa booked me into this hotel when they delayed my flight and I missed my connection. Why I didn't get the airport Hilton like my colleague? This hotel is horrible, for some reason it's got a 4 star rating, how did this happen? It's a grotty hotel in an industrial estate about 25 minutes from Munich airport, how this can be considered an airport hotel I do not know. My room was on the ground floor next to the lobby bar, it was loud, the food that they put on for late arrivals was a platter of cheese, just cheese, nothing to put it on or eat it with. Luckily there is a McDonald's about 400m away. Breakfast was even worse, just a pile of stale croissants with some kind of multivitamin fruit juice, a few pots of yoghurt and some fruit would have been better and easy to provide. The room was small, the bathroom even smaller, with a tiny shower. That said it was clean and tidy, so there was something positive about the stay. I would not part with my own money to stay here, and I'm not happy with Lufthansa for putting me here.

Stayed at this hotel one week and was my first and last. Shuttle is payed and very expensive (hour to hour), the rooms are very bad with very small beds almost without windows. Only the brakfas isn´t so bad.

We booked this hotel as a cheap and cheerful overnight hotel stay between flights. The hotel is really nice with great staff, big clean rooms and a superb breakfast but is a lot farther from the airport than expected. We took an arrival taxi at 36.00 Euros and the hotel shuttle coach the next day cost us 35.00 Euros (all divided by 3 people) which was a lot more than we had budget for. As we travelled in winter, there wasn't a lot in the town to do but there is a charming Italian restaurant round the corner offering great food at good prices.

I had only a one-night stopover, and having mistaken this property for the other BW in Erding, I was pleased that I had got it right. The hotel is quite charming, and offers parking, a plus in any German town. Check in was reasonably quick, although had more folks been lined up it could have taken a while. My room was lovely, a corner room on the ground floor with ample work space and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was extremely good, and for a simple overnight B & B, this property worked very well indeed.

I found my stay at the Best Western, Erding, better than expected, I've never stayed in one before and I was impressed, the reception staff were very friendly and nothing could be too much, housekeeping came everyday around 09:30, bit early but I was ready to go out by then, the breakfast is all you can eat and you can always have a freshly cooked omelette cooked in front of your eyes, loads of cooked meats, cheeses, bread, pastries, fruit, salads, cereal, juice, tea and coffee, basically everything you would want to get the day started. Also it's a 10 minute walk to the nearest train station towards Munich, bit far out but certainly made up for that.

My husband and my two sons (15 and 16 years) and I stayed there for 4 days and it was totally nice!! We can recommend the hotel for everyone. We visited the "Therme Erding". In the night it is silent in the hotel and the breakfast ist very good!

I liked the location: 20 min from thermal complex, half an hour from Erding center, 45 min by S-bahn (train) from Munchen centre. The hotel is designed very smart way - there are a lot of rooms and guests, but you never feel overcrowded. I had a nice small room with a roof window, clean bathroom and soft carpet. Enjoyed my stay!

As the title suggests, this is the worst hotel I have ever visited in my entire life. The words "Hotel Munich Airport" should all be in quotations, because this mess is nowhere near Munich, the Airport, and isn't really much of a hotel. Our flight from Munich to Toronto was cancelled, and this hotel was the one voucher-ed to us by Lufthansa. They told us to wait out by the shuttle stop outdoors on one of the hottest days of the year (about 85 degrees Fahrenheit) with terrible humidity. They told us a shuttle would come to pick us up within 15 minutes, and after three calls to the hotel and an hour and a half later, we decided to take a taxi to the hotel (80 euro round trip). When we finally got there we encountered a dilapidated van labeled shuttle that could hold a max of 8 people. There were 75 of us displaced on this flight. When we got to the desk the clerk and the manager called all 10 of us in the lobby liars, and said that we didn't wait or pay for a taxi. After passive-aggressively sparing with the staff we got the opportunity to look around the plastered mess that the building was. If someone had told me that this was a recycled POW camp I would have totally believed it. By some ungodly twist of fate our room was hotter than outside. At that moment we realized that this hotel has no air conditioning. When we complained at the desk they told us that "They didn't have A/C because they need heating in the winter" as if they are mutually exclusive things. What they did have in the room as a crappy oscillating fan. I turned it off before it could lackadaisically make a full rotation. We realized then that we couldn't stay there. After five more minutes of fighting with the desk they threw us our vouchers back and sent us out. The shuttle driver lied to us and said that he could take us back to the airport for free, when we got there he charged us 40 euros for the trip. We ended up staying at a much nicer hotel closer to the airport. The next morning at our gate we heard muffled conversations about how nobody slept and how the "dinner" that they had been served was horrible. Because the hotel is basically in the middle of a field, there are no better restaurants for guests to eat at. I'm pretty easy going when it comes to customer service, but I am dead serious when I say this. You would be better off sleeping in the terminal. This hotel is like one of those coffee machines that has the Starbucks logo on it but the coffee that comes out is obviously a no-name brand. Even though the bar is already somewhat low, I can say this hotel doesn't deserve the badge Best Western, and that is saying something.

Our Air Canada flight from Munich to Toronto was cancelled for Sunday August 9, 2015. The airline booked a bunch of passengers at this hotel to wait for the next flight the following day. Not only was the hotel dirty (flies all over the place), the staff was terribly rude. We had to pay for our own shuttle ride, after we waited for over 90 minutes for the "free shuttle". The shuttle had the Best Western logo on it, yet the driver made us pay 50 Euro for the 15 minute drive between the hotel and the airport (have receipt as evidence). When we told the front desk staff about the shuttle situation, we were told flat out that we were liars, and that we never had to wait for the free shuttle... wow, really unbelievable. Also, there was no air conditioning in any part of this property, with temperatures topping 90 Fahrenheit. Bottom line is that this hotel is a dump, with staff in urgent need of significant customer service training. I fully understand that Best Western is a lower tier chain, but this specific property is a disgrace to the Best Western name, and I think the company should reevaluate whether this hotel should be part of the brand. My recommendation is to save yourself a tremendously painful experience, and find a different hotel to book.

Stayed for one night in February ,our last day in Germany. A bit far from the city center, but there is a free shuttles as i remember. Clean & Quiet. Rich breakfast. Lovely Spa Thank you for the nice accommodation.
